dev.thanks for the info. some entrepreneurial types should be planning the post-mambo fortaleza garota experience now. when help went down in rio, there were already plenty of other options which have continued to thrive. fortaleza? not much else besides the forro mambo, zipi, and (to a lesser extent) other bars near forro. not sure why a prive scene at least, or a terma setup, couldn't survive. i'm sure the authorities are worried about drugs, **** possibilities, etc, but they may let an official scene live on with a more formal process for setting up the businesses (and probably paying officials in some format or another).

Canoa is a very small place. Everything happens on the main street in less than a dozen bars/"clubs" stretched out on 150 metres. Everybody knows who f*cks around with whom.
In Canoa you have four types of girls (with "local" I mean girls from Canoa, Aracati and Mossoró):
1. Girls with no interest in f*cking with gringos.
2. Local regular girls who chase gringos without charging for sex.
3. Local girls and Fortaleza girls who are plain pro's.

Just to add a liitle info club Mucuripe which is the Friday night spot in Fortaleza does have a pro-scene the women are a higher class than what you would find in Mambo or Zipi. The action is not in your face though with this being a regular club. Most of the working girls hangout on the main entrance area until the disco side opens at 2:00am. If anyone wants to check it out this Friday let me know I'm always looking for partners on the hunt.

Unlike most Brazilian heinous tourist traps, this town has everyman pricing, affordable so everyone shows up. Nothing special here. Several bars on main street open late weekends, crowds of kids too young to already be missing teeth, yet there they are full of play. Sit in front of Caverna and snag one. Or several. Pousadas very guest visitor friendly. If this is your style, stay for two months, use the portuguese words you've absorbed, hit on shopgirls, troll the beach for pic-ups and live it up on the cheap. This being Brazil, if you sit in one place long enough, something good is bound to hove into view.

Fortaleza is one of my, let say, five favourite cities in Brazil. I spend a lot of time in Fortaleza every year, partly business and partly (most part) holiday. Fortaleza is excellent. Because of the ho-crossing in Iracema? No?
I always enjoyed Iracema. The night scene. Sitting down at the Reggae bar, have a couple of cheap 600 ml cervejas, watching the street hustlers running around, the pick-pocket guys acting like vultures, the crack-ho's running after gringos, the cigarette guys with their boxes, the vulture-girls on the street calling for clients to their bar/restauarant, the midget on the corner calling for clients and trying to sell his "cheap tickets" to Pirata, the Polícia Militar passing by ignoring all the scum, the brazilian hillbillies passing by in their giant cars with loudspeakers blasting and later on seeing the working girls arriving.
First comes the ugly ones, the chubby girls, built like refrigerators and without no necks and with heads squared like TV's. Then comes the *unmentionable ones*, who still manage to fool gringos. Later on comes the hord of normal working pro's. Finally comes the top-class pro's. They enter Forró Mamboo and comes out quicker than I can take a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), hand on hand with a client.
It's not only the pro's that offers the entertainmet. You have the italian old-timers, old guys sitting down for a beer with their friends, "arguing" in italian about god knows what. Later on arrives their young fellow country-men on scooters or in taxis. Quite often getting robbed even before getting out of their taxis.
Iracema is fun, it's entertainment. However if you wan't to buy sexual services, make a good choice. Don't choose one of the hardcore's. Have patient and take your pick very carefully.
I spend a couple of weeks in Fortaleza every year. I get my share of p*ssies, but not mainly in Iracema. The ho-crossing in Iracema means nothing to me.
Fortaleza have much more to offer:
1. The non-pro night scene is very good. Enough said of that part. The less gringos the better. Sorry!
2. Centro. The centro, daytime, is filled with non-pro girl from the suburbs.
3. The beaches. IMO the best place for picking up-pro's at a bargain price or non-pro girls.
4. Your girlfriend.
Maybe option 4 needs an explanation? There are thousands of women in Fortaleza with boyfriends abroad. These guys are paying their GF's regulary. They don't have to work in Iracema. They can enjoy life. If they can have fun with a guy that they enjoys they will.
Having sex with women that are married/engaged with their boyfriends abroad, or working, is very convenient. The boyfriends are just, sugar-daddies or cows to be milked. My favourite girls are actually not the ones with italian boyfriends, but the ones with french boyfriends. At one visit in Fortaleza I had four fuck-friends, all with french boyfriends. So my advice is: widen your horizons and get laid for free in Fortaleza. Another option would be getting a GF in Fortaleza, support her and let me have a go at her. :D

This can range from about 20 BR all the way to 200 BR. Most of my fellow travelers will suggest an apartment. I agree. Read this thread for details on how to rent a short term apartment. If you are going to go with a hotel, the Casa Blanca will serve you will. Read my review on this hotel I wrote a few years ago. If you want something else, I stay at the IBIS. It will cost you 20 extra there, but it is not a bad place. New info on the IBIS, they removed the in-room safes now and you can only secure your valuables behind the front desk.
So Money is no option:
Holiday Inn.
Luzeiros.
If you need to keep it cheap:
Casa Blanca.
IBIS.
I know there are many more, but I have no experience at those locations.

Photos attached were from Iracema bars, the girl with jeans on "girls2011" has been working for years now, I spent some time with her in 2005 when she was a very cute hot young GDP.
A short update on the Fortaleza scene.
GENERAL:
* Much less rain than usually in January.
* There are lots of brazilian tourists in Fortaleza. Less gringos than usual. It seems like most gringos consist of italians with an average-age of 60 plus.
* Fortaleza is changing a lot. Iracema is going through some big changes. The whole calçadão area is getting very pretty. The construction of the Aquarium hasn´t started yet. I would expect closing of more GP-bars/clubs.
* Apartment prices from R$60 for a nice apartment in the Iracema area.
PRO-SCENE, NIGHT-TIME:
* PRICES: It seems like standard that the girls ask for R$150 at the clubs. Negotiate and don´t pay more than maximum of R$80. Streetwalkers are cheaper.
* "Ho-crossing", clubs: Cafe del Mar and Forro & Mambo. Cafe del Mar seems to have lost most of their customers, very empty. At Forro & Mambo it´s only the upper part that is working right now. Less people than it used to be. Mixed quality.
* "Ho-crossing", bars: The Reggae Bar and two bars with Dutch names.
* "Ho-crossing", nearby: Zipi Bar. Zipi Bar starts earlier, around 10 PM. The good news are that they are no longer charging any entrance and the place is often crowded. The bad news is that the quality has gone down a lot. It takes a lot of searching to find a stunner.
* Armazem: Wednesdays, ho-night. The usual GP´s from Iracema and "once-a-week-pro's". Also here it´s less people than it used to be.
* Crocobeach: Thursday, party evening. Mixture of mainly regular girls and some GP´s. It has gone downhill even more.
PRO-SCENE, DAY-TIME, CENTRO:
* Praça dos Martires: About a dozen old and very ugly women hanging out.
* The market-square on Rua General Sampaio. Very few SW and bottom-low quality.
* Espaço Show: Praça dos Martires. Low-end place with strip-tease and GP´s.
PRO-SCENE, PRIVÊS, CENTRO:
There are lots of privês in Centro. This year I only tried 4 of them.
* Rua Pedro Pereira 950: Up the stairs, white door. R$25/30 minutes. Only 2 girls. Fat and ugly.
* Rua Pedro Pereira 1252: A house with a gate. R$25/30 minutes. 4 girls. Three of them are giant monster women. The fourth was quite a cute blond girl. A weird house filled with at least 5 dogs and some cats running loose.
* Rua General Sampaio 682, sala 205: End of the corridor. R$25/30 minutes. 5 girls. Very fun girls.

* Fortaleza still has a good regular night-life.
My old favourite has always been Mucuripe Club on Fridays. Huge place, 4 pistas and lots of people. Mostly white middle- and upperclass girls. Unfortunately the quality has gone down at Mucuripe. More gringos have appeared and also some GP´s.
Entrance R$ 35. Beer R$ 5-6.

* Dragao do Mar: Nice realexed bars. Good for meeting regular girls.
* The most beautiful girls in Fortaleza are definitely not the GP´s, but the regular girls. It´s not hard work meeting regular girls in Fortaleza.

FINAL NOTES:
* The stunners in Fortaleza are a minority. The majority are the typical nordestinas, short, overweighted, big squared heads and without necks.
* Fortaleza has lost a lot when it comes to the pro-scene. Fewer clubs, less girls and lower quality. The prices are however still good.
* My advice: Go mainly for the regular girls and don´t expect to much of the GP-scene.
* Try the privês in Centro. I´ve only tried a handful but there are plenty of them.

Yes the beaches have open showers every so often. Going to the pria seems to a the second national sport. Soom beaches are full of people but nobody going into the sea. Its more about tanning and walking the boardwalk. Alot of beachside cafes and activity. Very third world here.

It has been an interesting six weeks here. Lots of women of all types available. I have had some very good looking girls off the street, they are everywhere! Especially after midnite, it seems there is one on every light post one street in from the beach, for miles, hahaa. Plenty of notell hotels here for 10-15r. Thats the way to o as its safe, and the girls know them all or you can find afew you know where they are and bring the girl. Been paying 50-70r for full covered service. It has been about a year since I have been in fortaleza. Forro Mamba if it is still open is usually the place to go at night on most nights for gps or garotas de programa, putas. There is a little bar a few blocks away from forro mamba called zipi that they usually go to early in the night say from 9pm or so til about 11 or 12am. Late night most people are at forro mamba. On Wednesday night amarzon is the place for gps. Don't hold me to the spelling. During the day at the beach you can find some gps at the beach at barraca boa vida. Fortaleza is one of my, let say, five favourite cities in Brazil. I spend a lot of time in Fortaleza every year, partly business and partly (most part) holiday. Fortaleza is excellent. Because of the ho-crossing in Iracema? No?
I always enjoyed Iracema. The night scene. Sitting down at the Reggae bar, have a couple of cheap 600 ml cervejas, watching the street hustlers running around, the pick-pocket guys acting like vultures, the crack-ho's running after gringos, the cigarette guys with their boxes, the vulture-girls on the street calling for clients to their bar / restauarant, the midget on the corner calling for clients and trying to sell his "cheap tickets" to Pirata, the Polícia Militar passing by ignoring all the scum, the brazilian hillbillies passing by in their giant cars with loudspeakers blasting and later on seeing the working girls arriving.
First comes the ugly ones, the chubby girls, built like refrigerators and without no necks and with heads squared like TV's. Then comes the *unmentionable ones, who still manage to fool gringos. Later on comes the hord of normal working pro's. Finally comes the top-class pro's. They enter Forró Mamboo and comes out quicker than I can take a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), hand on hand with a client.
It's not only the pro's that offers the entertainmet. You have the italian old-timers, old guys sitting down for a beer with their friends,"arguing" in italian about god knows what. Of course I'm sure they were French. You're right about not many French goes to Fortaleza. The far majority are Italians as you says.

I'm sorry guys I ve been reading the posts here but come on Fortaleza is history. People who have been ther like 5-10 years ago don't go and expect the same thing. The place got old and all the girls seem to be married up with an italian or spanish guy. Only the die hards still go to the 2/3 bars that are still open due to the recession. They ask prices that are hilarious like 150-200 reais for tln. Don't fool yourself this were the same girls that will go with you for 50-75 reais just 2 years ago. They got stuck up and the tourism got very sloww so the beaches and city are dead. I should skip this city and go more to the interior where happens more for more reasonable prices. And where they treat you like a rockstar bcoz they haven't been visted by so many tourists like fortaleza. Plus never mind that its a very dangerous city, just google up the crime rate. Nevertheless there are some nice cities close to frt that are worth mentioning.

I've been first time in Fortaleza 2009, went back in 2010 and stayed there for 5 months until January 2011, only for vacation. First of all I want to say that I don't know how it was in Fortaleza before 2009 but during my stay I really loved this City, the possibilities, the weather and of course the Brazilian Girls! In 2011 the main points were the same in Praia Iracema (mambo, cafe del mar, Armazem and zipi) and normal prices were always between 100-150 BRL / night. But I never paid over 100 BRL for a night as I actually speak quite good portuguese and if you stay longer than one day with same girl you are able to have her for free (if you're not very very old.) everything depends on your age, if you're not over 30 years old it is a big advantage as most of these girls want to have such young people for the future. =)!

Just left Fortaleza and can confirm that only Zipi and Forró Mambo are still open. There is a little side bar opposite Forró Mambo that has a few GPs as well. Also Pirata on Monday and Armazem on Wednesday are still on. I was very impressed with the girls at Armazem but am not really interested in take out so didn't really find out prices. One girl from Zipi was asking R$150.
I also checked out the centro privés Sperto mentioned and they were all pretty bad with the exception of Espaço Show. A few decent looking young girls and liked the vibe a lot. It was crowded around 5 pm and closes down by 8pm and the neighbourhood is very dodgy. Girls are R$60 plus R$15 for the room.
From GPGuia I checked out a couple of privés a little farther out and both are about a R$18 taxi ride from Praia de Iracema. Belissimas is open 24 hours. 7 days a week and there were about 25 girls when I got there around 10pm. There is a bar area where you can hang out, relax, drink and socialize with the girls and is quite nice. All in cost for a session is R$142 plus drinks for an hour. Baronesas was another place I checked out which is the same, but on a smaller scale and more basic. I got there around 6pm and there were about 8 girls. All in cost there is R$120 plus drinks. I have to say that compared to Rio privés, it isn't great value as the cost is more and the girls in general are less hot and seem more restrictive (CBJ, no anal, no kissing or on the lips only) and are more business like. But I found them worthwhile to visit, especially Bellisimas just for the different environment and the opening hours.

I went around 23:30 and it was starting to get pretty full as the main band started playing around 00:30. I think the majority of the people there were regular girls and guys, not on or looking for programma. I noticed a few hot girls and realized later that they were maybe working as I saw them later at Forro Mambo or at other working bars later in the week.
You should plan to be in Fortaleza on Wednesday as that is the ho night at Armazem. It was packed and all the girls were working. The vibe was reminiscent of Help in Rio except for the forro bands. There was also a disco in another section. If I lived there, I would go every Wednesday.

The goal of my trip firstly is women. Secondly sight seeing. I've been going to Thailand for some years now so I'm kind of spoiled when it comes to service but mainly price. That accounts for both women and hotels. Thailand is cheap compared to Brazil from what I've read. I mean I'm used to $20 apartment an $25-$35 short time girls. Or $40-$60 for high end girls.
So I ask you brothers, for mongering purposes which place is better; Rio De Janeiro or Fortaleza.
I mean Fortaleza seems to have easier access to girls, cheaper then Rio, maybe more compact scene not sure though.
Rio from what I've read the girls there are considered more beautiful than Fortaleza, can anybody clarify in what way.

Rio:
I thought Help Disco and the Atlantico Cafe Restaurant, in front of Help Disco, were the 2 best places for monger action in Rio.
But they both closed before my last trip. So that's why I won't visit Rio on my next trip. I think it's not the same without those 2 places. Balcony Bar had been one of the worst places in Rio,
with a few bad looking girls, until my last trip in 2010. Then it became the hot spot because Help and Cafe Atlantico closed down. The girls had to go somewhere. Even though
Balcony was OK on my last trip, it wasn't nearly as good as Help or Cafe Atlantico had been. I don't know what Balcony is like now.
I had a very good time at the 2 higher class Termas in Rio that I went to. Make sure you go to the top Termas,
if you can afford it.
Also, hotels in Rio have become pretty expensive. At least when I went in 2010. You may be better off with apartments.
But Rio is a beautiful city, may be worth visiting just to see it and go to the Termas.
Fortaleza:
I thought there were enough good looking programa girls in the Iracema bar area of Fortaleza, despite
what almost everyone else on this board has been writing for the past 10 years, and I'm picky. On my last night in Fortaleza in 2010 I went late to Cafe del Mar in Iracema, which I heard is now closed.
I was absolutely amazed how many hot babes were at Cafe Del Mar that night. But that wasn't typical, I know because I had been there before. They usually were OK, but not as good as that night.
Not sure about areas outside of Iracema. (I went to Bellisimos or whatever it's called, which is kind of like a combo bar / house with girls. The girls were not too good looking, but I went early, so maybe it got better later. It is not located in Iracema).
Anyway, ask yourself, would so many European men tourists travel all the way to Fortaleza, and hang out at Iracema, unless there were a decent number of good looking programa girls?

I am currently in Fortaleza for a week or so. I don't speak any Portuguese and only some high school Spanish so I don't feel too comfortable venturing out. A new place opened up next to Mambo, it's where the old Cafe del Mar used to be.
It's called Bar 34, and has 2 floors. I didn't go in though. But I looked in and saw maybe.
A few girls there, not that many people. From the 2nd floor of Mambo I saw that Bar 34.
Also had a few people on it's 2nd floor. Didn't seem that lively.
A place, but at least there is now more than one big place at that bar complex.
There used to be a few places:
Bikini Club, Europa, Cafe del Mar and Mambo (Mambo has had different names through the years).
Now just two clubs: Mambo and Bar 34.
When all 4 bars were open, there used to be loads of girls and tourists hanging out outside.

Zippy Bar still good from 10:30 to about 1:00. Best after midnite. They now give you a card for your drinks.

Short time of 2 hours is still about 200 Real, but you can probably bargain down
Below that if there are not a lot of tourists around. I heard they raise the prices.

I was in Forta in April (I think) for work.
I went to Bellisima for the first time. There were some pretty decent girls but boring and lazy. They would not smile or make eye contact. It looked like they didn't want to be there. WTF!
I called 2 or 3 to approach my table and sit down but they pressured me to go to the room right away. The customers this week during World Cup were mainly older (50+ white hair), larger (fatter) European tourists. Hearsay, I admit, is that Fortaleza is a lower-end mongering destination for a lot of people from Europe. Italians, Dutch, Germans, Portuguese. Looked like it. Didn't see many Americans, for instance. The bar was PACKED. Tons of girls, most of whom were not hot -- however with that number there are always the 1-2% that are do-able. When I say "not hot" I am judging against Cafe Foto, Miruna, and even the best of the bunch at 502, MV30, MC, etc. Going rate (first quote, no negotiation) was are $300 which seemed to be World Cup pricing. Lots of girls from other NE Brasil cities like Belem. By comparison my friend paid are $350 for 2 hours with a smoking hot escort from "Fortaleza by Night" (I think that was the site). So I'd say the girls at Zipi are tourist gouging. I left with no interest.

Full of dudes too. No entrance fee, as far as I could tell. Drinks were cheap. Did not get session pricing. Left uninterested. Avoid.

A little farther out than Belissima. Again, taxi driver know it. Walled house. Flashed his headlights to have them open the gate. Small bar area. Fewer girls, again no real lookers, and not very crowded at 11 pm on a Thursday night. There is a pole in the corner of the bar. We were looking around and when we walked past the pole, all the girls started chanting "dance! Dance! Dance!" -- at least it made me smile LOL. Left without any interest, did not get pricing.
Sounds like the best bets are the privees -- especially Casa de Val, which gets good reviews on GPguia -- and the escort sites.
Overall I was pretty fucking unimpressed.

Have been to Fortaleza 5 times, the last being Fall of 2013. So my info below is as of a year ago:
Zipi bar is the early scene. A lot of the same girls from there go to other places like Mambo later that night.
Zipi has all types, some good looking, some average, some below average.
Mambo usually has more than a few good looking girls.
Bar 34 next to Mambo had very few people in it when I looked in. (It used to be Cafe del Mar).
I originally had the same confusion in my earlier trips about Armazem club (Wednesday nites) that you did.
I couldn't tell if they were pros or regular girls. I read on this forum that almost all are selling themselves.
When I went back to Armazem over a year ago, I realized that's true. Many are wearing short shorts.
And many are dressed like pros. Most of the girls there are GDPs available for money, just check how they dress.
And many at Armazem are pretty good looking.
The Iracema area has about half the number of nightclubs with available girls that it did 10 years ago.
A few clubs including Europa closed.
But with Mambo, Zipi, and Armazem on Wednesdays, I wouldn't agree that the action has completely "demised". There is still

Much harder than last year to find apartments. Prices between R$130-200/night. Less in low season and much less for long time rentals. Pousadas in the range of R$80-200. Take your time and check around. I found an excellent newly renovated pousada in a perfect location with kingsize-bed, AC, good Wifi, cable TV and frigobar. Negotiated it down from R$140 to R$100.
PRIVÉES:
* Rua Sena Madureira 961: About 10 puteiros on the first and second floor. An average of 3 girls/casa. Asking price R$60/30-45 minutes. The overall quality is low, but there are exceptions.
Recommendation: Natalia in the end of the corridor on the first floor. Until recently she just worked at one of the local escort sites. She got mad at her boss and started to work here. Morena clara, 25 years, blue eyes, big tits and a large round and firm ass. Very good session even though only CBJ. Allows photos. R$50/45 min. I think she won't work there for long. I am one of the earliest sexplorers of Fortaleza and contributor on this board. Since then, I have taken several trips. Here is what you do:
During the day: Buy local newspapers and look at the casa advertisements. Take any taxi off the road and hand him this paper. Buy some credit for his phone and have him call the several places. Go to various casas. If you like a girl, take her to a motel. Unless the place is half decent. If good chemistry, offer to take her out in the evening. Try to do that all day long. By the end of day, you will have one girl that is willing to go out with you for TLN. You may not even have to pay her. Unless you feel like paying her. For these casa girls, the offer will be hard to refuse.
During the Night: If you are unsuccessful at Zippy, take a taxi and ask him to take you to a strip club. You may find someone there that you would like!
Motels are cheap in Fortal. I prefer to take girls there for a test drive!

* Armazem: Continues to have Wednesdays as wh*re-night.

Yearly update, Canoa Quebrada. Canoa Quebrada is small village 3,5 hours busride south from Fortaleza.
General: Canoa Quebrada offers nice beaches, buggy-tours, cheap pousadas, relaxed atmosphere and excellent restaurants.
Nightlife: Concentraded to a 100 m strip on Broadway. Germanspeaking gringos tends to hang out at Canoa Central, the other gringos goes to Bar Caverna. Todo Mundo is unfortunately invaded by veados. Girls looking for gringos goes mainly to Canoa Central and Caverna.
Girls: You have pro's, piranhas and regular girls.
* The nicest girls are the local girls who doesn't hang out in the gringo bars. These local girls you find at the locals hangout, Meu Xodo etc. It takes some work to score those girls as they want to avoid a reputation as papa-gringos.
* There are a big gang of piranhas who just want to f*ck gringos without charging anything. Unfortunately all these piranhas have seen their better days 10-20 years ago.
* The pro's. There are some local pro's and weekend pro's from Fortaleza. They will come up to you offering their services. I never payed for sex in Canoa so I have no idea what they charge.

As said before and worth to remember. The best, most goodlooking girls, are the local girls and tourist girls. Fortaleza is excellent for non-pro's. Just avoid all the chubby fatties with squared heads planted directly on their shoulders. Girls with necks are a rarity in Fortaleza.
Just some extra notes on Fortaleza:
* The only really good option for nighttime mongering in Fortaleza is Zipi Bar. Forró & Mambo and the two bars next to F&M attracts very few GPs. The prefeitura really managed to kill the mongering scene. Café del Mar, Europa Bar, Bikini Bar, Africa etc are just history.
* Zipi Bar: Number of girls and quality changes a lot depending on the day of the week. Weekends have more girls but with really sh*tty quality. Many of the weekend-GPs really shocked me, women 50+ and some really heavy chubbies with big trembling bellies. An average night you'll find one or two 9's and 10's, about eight 7's and 8's and the rest will be 1's-6's. With few exceptions the girls are very sympathetic and not pushy. Prices van be negotiated as low as R$80 with many girls. There are many gringos at Zipi Bar, 90% are Italians. Short guys dressed in polo shirts (upturned collars) who doesn't interact very much with the girls. My guess is that maximum 10% of the girls get customers.
* The mongering left in Fortaleza is just Zipi Bar, privées on Monsenhor Tabosa and a few GPs on the beaches (Beira-Mar and Croco Beach in Praia do Futuro).
* The mongering is light years form what it used to be, but I do like Fortaleza a lot, a very pleasant city with nice beaches and lots of cheap restaurants and bars along the orla.
* The best part of Fortaleza continues to be the non-pro's. Stroll along the orla, chat up girls on the beach or in centro and it´s easy to score regular girls. Staying at the Ibis Iracema. Strongly recommended. It may be GF friendly, not sure. Staff are relaxed.

Nightlife: Impossible to miss as all nightlife happens on a 100 m strip on "Broadway". Caverna, Todo Mundo and Canoa Central are among the most popular bars.
Girls: You have pro's, piranhas, thief-girls, regular local girls and regular tourist girls.
* The best looking local girls avoid the bars where the gringos go as they want to avoid a bad reputation. They go where the locals go, like Meu Xodo.
* There are lots of piranhas who f*cks gringos for free. Some of these women have been around the last 20 years. The large majority of these piranhas are not attractive at all. Still they get laid when the gringos gets drunk. However there are a few piranhas that are not that bad.

A bit complicated to answer. Rio and São Paulo has most to offer when it comes to quantity. Some other capitals in Brazil have much less monger options but a better gem-percentage even though it takes harder work and more experience to find them.
Short-time pricing. Many capitals have trash spots where you can get laid for R$20. Best value of these short-time trash places? It depends of luck, I guess.

Monsenhor Tabosa 111 is a good option for daytime mongering in Fortaleza. There are several trash options, fun to visit but not really worth the efford.
Regarding the jail cells, not really that bad, the bars are there to protect the girls on the inside. There is a puteiro in Praia do Futuro where the girls are locked into jail cells (very sick).
The best part in Fortaleza are the regular girls, locals and tourist girls. Centro, the beaches and wherever you see cuties.

Short walk to the malicon, beach road as thousnet of people party there and many clubs many hot girls half naked dancing etc.

In my second day I had to do some logistics such as moving to apartment on the 20th floor for about 30 USD per night via booking.com. "Flat studio Iracema" weird place located one block from "Tabosa 111" . I went to this Tabosa building at 3 PM and only 3 rooms were active with girls. I've passed by Pousada Andrade, on Rua Senador Almino 8. I took a quick look before I left, I remember I thought the rooms were stuffy, humid and smelly, but it's cheap. If your budget allows there are many much better options in Iracema.
Be careful at night-time when returning home. Your pousada is located on a side-street which is like a blind alley. There are always weirdos and vagabundos hanging around close to the Dragão do Mar-area. Even more caution needed as your pousada have no security at night-time.

Between the Forró Mambo ho-crossing and Zipi Bar you have lots of pousadas. Several with very good standard and good prices. No problems having girls visiting you, if they charge a extra fee depends on your charm and language skills.
I'm curios about the clubs you mentioned with half-naked girls dancing. I havn't seen that in Iracema since Africa closed in the nineties.

'Yearly update, Canoa Quebrada. A small village 3,5 hours busdrive south from Fortaleza. It used to be the FuckForFree-capital in Brazil with girls coming from all the nearby cities to get laid with gringos. That was some 28 years ago. Now it's going downhill.

The working girls are not attractive, however there are a few exceptions. Be careful, there are some thief-girls coming to Canoa. They work together with guys who will rob you. A gringo died some years ago from Boa Noite Cinderella given by thief girls.
IMO you should go to Canoa for partying, relaxing, beaches, meeting regular girls but not for P4 P.
