Photo only opens at night and Love Story is usually open until 6AM weekdays and until noon on frid and sat. The only places you could try are Bahamas and Cafe Milenium. They both for lunch. Or you could go to the massage clinicas.
Airport is a 30-40 mins drive from downtown depending on traffic.

You can get a king size bed at Mercure Jardins. That`s what we had. Book as a double and when checking in ask for the king size bed. Talk to Vagner at the desk. He is very accomodating.

I had to visit Sao Paulo for three day quick visit this week and so leveraged the opportunity.
Someone posted a question about an outfit - EU and Elas - on this board not too long ago. So I paid them a visit with guidance of my local staff. It has basically similar set-up of therma which are popular in Rio.
They are proud of being in the business for 35 years. It is relatively small place for the business – a big two story house converted to a therma.
On the first floor, there are a small (and dark) lounge along with a bar, TV room running continuous porn movie in where clients kill their time with their girls, co-ed locker room, relaxing room, steam and dry saunas and co-ed shower room, and a few individual session rooms.
On the second floor, there are a few rooms for individual session rooms. One room has a glass window so others may choose to watch the action in the room. There is an open area equipped with chairs and a bed. This is the area where clients can have public sessions while others watch their actions. The house does not assess room charge (R$40.00 per hour) for this area. If the clients want to save the room charge and don’t mind others watching their action, this is the room for them. When I was there, I saw two guys were having fun with two girls – almost orgy!
Entrance cover is R$79.00 which comes with two drinks. Standard price for a session with a girl is R$100.00 but it is my understanding that it is negotiable. I had a session with a girl without any conversation about the fee and the girl was perfectly OK with R$100.00 afterwards.
This place opens at 3:00 p.m. and winds down after 10:00 p.m. or so. Ladies at this place are free to go after 10:00 p.m. We got there around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and learned about their business operations. Then we moved onto Bomboa afterwards.
There were about 30 or so ladies and at least half of them were young and reasonably good looking and shape. It appears to attract local and native Brazilian folks who were nice and accommodating a gringo.
Major drawback is old facility and was not kept up to date. If you are clean and 100% sanitary fanatic which you could find yourself comfortable in first tier clubs, this may not be the place for you. It is definitely one or two notch below from the first tier clubs. While I have also somewhat strong preference for clean and professionally running place, I strangely felt comfortable with the facility, their staff, girls and clients who all were friendly and accommodating.
The first visit was short but I was able to find a girl with Italian background. She is 21 and has beautiful big black eyes with good body frame and figure. We went to Bomboa on Thursday night from Eu and Elas.
Since this joint has been covered so well and so often, my update more focuses on tidbits.
Entrance cover is R$132.00 with which a client can consume four whiskeys or six beers. Room is R$70.00 while ladies were quoting average R$200.00. You would have more leverage in negotiation after 1:00 a.m. or so. Sushi bar was open but sauna was closed. Waiters and other staff were polite and nice as usual.
I found a reasonably good looking lady (stunning face + reasonable body frame/figure = good looking) from Rio. We had good time which I would expect to receive from a pro. As I ran out of my local currency, I settled her service fee (R$200.00) using a credit card. I was somewhat surprised with credit card fee of R$30.00. It is my fault not to bring local currency. When you go there, please take enough cash to cover yourself for a session.
It was a typical Thursday night and the place was rocking. The band was playing mediocre music but everyone seemed having good time.

I do not know much about Sao Paulo geography because I am usually escorted or driven my local staff. It is located in Aclamaco area which is not terribly too off from Ave Paulista. I would say it is about 15 minute ride from Ibirapuera park where a big circle around a bunch of big statues.
While it is definately in local section a couple of blocks off main roads, the avenue or rua at where it is located in on one of those tourist map that you can get from the hotel.
If you stay in near Ave Paulista, it would be no more than 20 minutes ride. Hope this helps!

I used to stay at Etoile before, but these days I stay at Jackson's apt at Recoleta. Jackson is a good friend and I feel comfortable with the arrangement. Also, since the service guys, especically, Adrian, know me well, I always stopped by the front desk at Etoile in every trip to say hello. This time they told me that their price is now 396 peso a day ( I used to pay 200 plus tax). In this price range there are much better choices in Recoleta.
I can not objectively compare Sao Paulo and Buneos Aires, since I will always have a soft corner for Buneos Aires for various reasons. However, I can say this much that I have seen more beautiful girls in Sao Paulo than anywhere else. The big negative for Sao Paulo, in my opinion, is its expense. The current exchange rate against the dollar is also not favorable. Having said that, I will re-visit Sao Paulo in a heartbeat, mostly because of some new favoritas.
IMHO, as a pure tourist, you will enjoy Buenos Aires more than Sao Paulo.

it’s hard for me to judge sao paulo as i didn’t even make it to kilt, which was in the neighborhood of my hotel. i did nothing but escorts. but here are a few observations:

Do you speak Spanish? Most Brasilains can understand spanish (but understading portugues by spanish speakers is not so easy). If you do, you will be OK making yourself clear.
There are places like Cafe Photo that have a higher percentage of english speaking gals. I think that most places do have girls that speak some english. For Sao Paulo, where taxis can't find anything and the metro covers such a small portion of a huge city, this sort of service may be great.
However, there are a couple of worries. Sampa Guide needs to prove his trustworthiness. The reason taxi drivers take you to certain places is because certain places pay them a lot of money. Starting out with the intention of free-lancing and making 100% of his money from the client is nobel, but possibly unsustainable.
Also, as a college student, I didn't know shit about where/how to monger. It is possible he is understating his age or overstating his experience. Interestingly, that is exactly opposite of what I do in life.
Also, aside from the fact that he put together a pretty good post in enlish, we no nothing about him. I think the first customers should:
1. Insist that he register with your hotel like the chicas do. You don't have to screw him the same as them, but the same insurance policy would be nice. Be sure they have a copy of his documentos.
2. Try to bring a monger buddy the first time or two.
By the way, these are not Sao Paulo-specific recommendations. In many cities in the U.S., I wouldn't even entertain the idea of a service like this being legit, so please allow me to choose my own cultural lectures.

Most cab drivers posted in front of high end restaurants and hotels will get a 5 - 15 reais comission. Bahamas for example has a small receipt paper that the driver gives to the bouncer when he takes customers there.
I have taken some people around and the best policy is that you approach each person differently. I don´t charge people. I have made many friends from this forum and I like to keep that way.
The best way for a monger to be able to best utilize the service of a guide is to research, research and research about the city he is planning to visit.

I arrived at 9am or so yesterday morning. Since it was an early arrivial, I decided to try the Hilton Morumbi. I get a lot of extra perks here (early arrival, departure, exec lounge, etc), so it makes up for the $120 US plus tax I'm paying.
I couldn't find any cheap taxis upstairs, and paid $91R for the trip.
Nice room, good view, excellent executive lounge with free drinks all day, and a great breakfast. They have a happy hour during the week, and have enough food for a meal, easily. Liquor during the happy hour is free, other times, you have to pay for it. (Soft drinks, water are always free).
I read through all the SP directory, and decided to check out Clinica Chantilly. I decided to catch a movie at the Morumbi mall first, and then take a taxi directly over there. I got there about 3:30pm and things didn't start off well. They're not Chantilly anymore, it's not 100r, and Raquel no longer works there.
Pricing is 120R for an hour. I think this place was sold a month and a half ago or so. I think it's part of a chain (Oishii Massagens). The Mariott looks like a nice place and the Itiam area is ok and not too far from Bomboa, Bahamas, Photo, FransBel, J.America, Eddisons and a little ways from Millenium.
I agree with Pro, I have an apt. in Moema and it is fairly high priced for Brazil, It is 2 suites and a pool, but is 4000r + a month, then you have to consider the apt fees and utilities which run me another 1000r a month with cable and internet (wife and maid not included) LOL.
But Mariott is cheap compared to some of the other places in Sao Paulo.

First off, I wanted to say thanks to the many posters but especially Moondog, hope you are still reading the reports. Off2golf and Gk. I did visit Eu & Elas but I didn't get to read Robert Munich report before hand, but his reports were right on.
Arrived later than schedule from Buenos Aires to Sao Paulo via Varig. We landed an hour and a half later than expected. What else could go wrong? The taxi from the international airport to the Parthnon in Moema cost a total of r$80.
The Parthnon Flats in Moema is just an average hotel that serves a purpose for us mongers. Nothing fancy but the price is fair and I thought the location was good. Only 5 blocks from the shopping mall. We had lunch there everyday, the eye candy is that good over there.
Once we got settled in we had lunch at the mall then took a taxi to Eu & Elas. We didn't know where Aclimacao was but one of my friends speaks fluent Portuguese so we weren't worried about getting ripped off.
It took us about 20 minutes to get there. The traffic on the freeway or whatever you call that highway was horrendous. As stated before, entrance was r$79 and it includes two drinks. They also have a free buffet. Since we just had lunch, no one in our group tried the food. We stayed in our clothes but it is a common locker room so we saw the girls changing, some of them taking showers, what a great site. Yes, this is a little gem of a club.
One of the drawbacks is that it is dark inside. We got there about 15:00 so it was still bright outside. Once inside, my eyes couldn't adust to the darkness. Just a word of advice. I don´t know how experienced you are. It all depends on the guy and the girl. I´m supposing you are using GPguia as a guideline for reccomendations and to be totally honest, you can´t trust most of it. You mught ask why but there are too many variables. Last week I was in Sampa and the first night (a Saturday) I had a cab bringing me to Café Millennium. I arrived between 23.00 and midnight and although where lots of girls, mainly 6-8s on the FD scale, I found the atmosphere a bit dull and uninspiring. Here's a hint: try looking for the same girl on different escort sites. Most of them will not have their pictures in only one place. i did not want my first post to be in a negative vein, however, i have gained so much knowledge from my peers on this board that i find myself duty bound to share this experience so that others may not fall victim to this scam.
i am no strange to cafe photo and have been a lregular customer even before i learnt about the board. i went there this past saturday night, expecting it to be slow. there were atleast about 60 women and about 20 guys, quality of women was fair with a few 9's. after a bit of eye contact (these girls can really stare you down) i saw this tall, beautiful, porcelain skinned brunette in the middle of the dance floor. i walked up to her, exchanged a few words in english and the smattering of portuguese i could muster and got her to my table. she had a glass of champagne, we talked a bit, started the negotiations and came to an agreement at rs 400 for 3-4 hours (she is from the south of brasil- german descent, forget the exact town) and we were off to the races.
there was a lot of hand holding and kissing in the cab on the way to the radisson- farai lima where i was staying. the hotel has a nasty policy of stopping you, making the young lady register and making you sign the guest voucher so they can relieve you off the rs50 in guest charges, which is all fine but in my opinion can be done a bit discreetly. this did not sit well with my guest who as were riding the elevator started muttering to herself in portuguese, visibly upset. we got to my room and now she is totally bummed out blaming me for the whole episode in the lobby, which i found really strange as i figured working the club she surely must have encountered this before. after a bit of an argument she took off her clothes and demanded her gift at which point i asked her to leave. now, starts the drama, she threatens to call cafe photo and tell them that i am not paying up. i handed her my mobile and asked her to be my guest. after a brief conversation she hands me the phone and i ask to speak with the english speaking manager they have. i explained what transpired and to my utter surprise i am told i should hand her the money as she could complain to the authorities and they would not want me to get into trouble with the law.
i had read in an earlier report that a monger had encountered a similar situation and that the management had changed hands and now the club was now being run by the chinese mafia. i thought in this case discretion was the better part of valor, handed her the money and started with the business, this was going to to be a grudge f--k! it was a cbbj, very skillful, then she rode me for a while (all this without any prompting from me) and then i finished off on top of her with her having a huge orgasam. it was a great experience as she was thrashing about the bed making me feel like a stud :) what neither one of us realised was she was a squirter and the sheet was wet and so was she. now comes part two of the drama, she claims that i came inside her (that the condom broke), not true as i examined it before discarding it. using this an an excuse she declared the session over and left. it was a nasty experience and will keep me away from photo for a while, which is a shame as i have had great experiences there in the past.

Romanza e Millenium were shut down today. It all started with outdoor sign on the proximities of the Interlagos race track, where the brazilian grand prix will be held this coming weekend. In one of them there was a gir suggesting oral sex on a man dressed on racing overalls. The punch line was: "Watch what happens after the podium".
The city authorities decided to check the places and shut both down due to lack of license and lack of many city requirements for bussiness establishments. And apparently they violated the criminal code article 234, which states that is prohibited to produce and acquire obscene material for trade, distribution and public exposition.
Both places had their entrances blocked with concrete blocks.
Looks like their are going to miss one of the biggest mongering weekends of the year in Sao Paulo.
Diligencies to Baccos and Connection should expect inspections in the coming days.
I might have a chance to be in Sao Paulo soon, but it may well be in the weekend, i.e, arriving Friday and departing Sunday. Haven't been in SP for a while now. How is WE and Cafe Photo, and others in the weekend, Friday or Saturday? Heard that Cafe Photo is now open on Sundays too, anyone knows if its any good?

Just a quick report because I am in Salvador, heading out to try to get laid !!! (see my reports under Salvador).
Further to Romanza and Millenium being closed, I am pretty sure Kilt got a lot of the overspill because I have been in there most of last week and it was totally packed with action, thursday night was just incredible !!!! I always have a good time there, whether I get any action or not. To me it has a great atmosphere, you don´t get hassled to buy drinks, either for yourself or for the ladies, and the entrance and prices are reasonable. The other night I walked up to the entrance of Bomboa to check it out as it was on the same street as my hotel, but baulked at the entrance fee, about 140 reals !!!! Sorry, but that is just ridiculous. Do the women in there have 6 tits or something ??? The entrance at Kilt is 35 reals, slight difference !!! I rest my case. The other clubs around Kilt are also reasonably priced, but the talent leaves something to be desired !!!!

My new business (promoting night tours for outlanders who seek the best escorts in São Paulo) started really good, all my customers enjoyed the tour and my services.

_Bahamas night club: awesome club, top quality girls and an expensive (but compatible with the girls) price.
_Kilt Shows: medium/high level girls, cheap entrance. However, I must warn you that a girl from there (called Paola) abandoned a customer of mine (before I met him) without having sex! She asked to go downstairs to get a bottle of water and didn't come back.
_American Show: great club and reasonable price. Medium/high level girls and has lots of stripping and lap dance. American style, but you can touch the girls A LOT and take them to the rooms upstairs
_Akaza: same level as american show, but not designed for lap dances. Perhaps a little cheaper. I've spoken to the manager and she will let me in for free when I have a customer
_Bomboa: Good level, but very expensive to get in. I'm working on my entry for free, will probably get it because the manager from Akaza is a friend of Bomboa's manager
_Brooklin: massage house, closes at 10pm. Good girls for a very cheap price
_Millenium, Romanza and Connection: were closed due to a problem with the law. Their outdoor publiciy was too hot and the mayor closed these clubs for some time.

First time to SP. Stayed at the Renaissance, which I would absolutely recommend (get club level). It's not walking distance to the Rua Augusta clubs like Kilt - about R$10 or so by taxi. It's also not cheap. I asked the doorman if the Kilt was okay. The look on his face said it all.
Speaking zero Portugese the ISG provided valuable information. Total cost @ Kilt for entry, table seat (yea, I know, but the girls talked me into it), two beers, two ladies drinks (one apiece) and the cost of the cabina (sp?) was R$190.
Cost for more happiness than I could stand: R$250. That included a nice body massage afterwards. She also gave me her number & quoted R$300 for a visit to my hotel next time.
Total cost for about 2 hours of fun: $250 US including taxi & tips. Not cheap but very fun.
If I didn't have an incurable compulsion to try something different I'd definitely return. I'll be back in SP in about two weeks. Are the other spots down the street similar, cheaper, ?? I'm old and gray - I like girls with a little more mileage on 'em - like 30 - 40 y/o. [funny how things change as you get older] I'd much rather have a 5 with a smile than a 10 with an attitude at half the price.
Overall not the value of Monterrey (Mx.) but still a very lot of fun.

I don’t know all the details but can tell you that I was leaving the club on Wednesday morning around 3:45 and the police were out front with their lights on.

I want to quickly comment on Bahamas. Bahamas is 2 blocks from my house in Moema and I have visited this club out of convenience on several occasions. Bahamas is notorious for their 400r cover and girls charging you 200r per hour and then telling you after the fact that it was $200 USD instead of reias, and will cause you problems if you don’t pay. I have never left the door without the 400r sticker shock and I really have distaste for unethical businesses. I love beautiful girls but I hate clock watchers and girls that are trying to see how far they can get with your money without giving you a value added product.
The girls at Bahamas will stand and stare at you, like pick me to rip you off……. I think that Bahamas has many really good looking girls if you need a trophy fuck and is open on Sunday.
They pay off the cops, so it doesn’t have the same problem that other clubs in SP have.
As for the other Clubs closures, It’s about the money$$$$$$$$$$ not about anything else……. PERIOD!

Basiclly the Millenium and Romanza were shut down due to their ads for the F1 weekend. It really pissed off the mayor.
Bomboa has a zoning problem and the fact that that area has getting a lot of real real state investiment. It is located in a sort of high middle class area. It is bond to have problem with the neighbors. The area has a strong neighborhood association group. Too many residential neighbours is bond to bring problems.
Another thing is that on site places will have problems because most boites are registered as restaurants and/or bars.
And elections are coming.....

For me, Photo was more expensive, and not as good a time. Bahamas, more girls, and a great time.
I do like the Kilt for price and a more relaxed atmosphere, but have been going there for like 8 or more years. I miss Tanya (the founder and prior owner, who recently sold the club) she was great and always greeted the clients. However, the staff is still very friendly and will treat you well.
R300 for hotel & R250 for the cabine is just the girls starting bid. They will take R200ish for hotel and less than R150ish for a cabine ride. Probably even less for the slightly older, less attractive girls. Enjoy your next visit.

I never read such a blatant misrepresentation about a club. How did you come up with 400 Real cover in Bahamas? When you report, check your facts and report the right information. You can spend 1000 Real in drinks, that does not constitute a "cover". During August, I paid entrance fee 101 Real (cover). Drinks are separate and you can control it at your will. I had two sessions there, one on site for an hour (70 Real room charge) and paid 200 Real to the girl. Then, another night, took an amazingly beautiful and fun loving 25 Yr. old girl to my hotel at Jardins for TLN. Exit fee to Bahamas 100 Real and the girl 300 Real for a date which lasted more than 14 hours.
I had been to Cafe Photo and took a girl out (entrance 190 real, includes 4 drinks, and 400 Real for the girl for 4 hours). IMHO, the most beautiful and vibrant girls are in Bahamas. You need to speak the language a little and know how to do a little bit of negotiations.

Connection, Millenium, Romanza and Bomboa are closed.I contacted my friends in SP and they told me that Bomboa is not open. The entrance is even obstructed with concrete blocks. I read however on the Gp Guia that it is supposed to be open next Monday.
Personally I was afraid to go there. My hotel (Parthenon, The Excellence) was very close (more or less 500ft). But I didn't go inside.

I returned last Tuesday from 16 nights in Brazil, 9 in Sao Paulo and 7 in Salvador. I had a good time in Sao Paulo, but not as great as my last visits.

With a little receipt creativity & putting the Kilt taxi against my faux dinner I come out pretty good.
But that reflects the original question - if I had big bucks I'd just go back to Kilt. Being the cheap bastard I am I saw the "Cocktail" sign & was hoping for a better value.
I walked the Rua Augusta area today (a Sunday afternoon - everything was closed) and would suspect that, although within walking distance of the Renaissance it might be pretty dicey at night.

If you look at the dollar vs. the euro, you can cut the prices virtually in half if you think like European. It was a lot more fun for me when the dollar was at 1.3 to the euro and I was in Germany constantly. Walking past a top club without ducking in for something was like stepping over gold coins on the way to McDonalds. If you don't like what the dollar buys, stop buying Chinese goods and buy US goods. Your overseas trips will be more enjoyable in the long run.
If the dollar were not in the toilet, no one would be complaining about the prices at most of the clubs. Where else can you see so many beauties that are ready, willing and able in one place that are there for the asking?
For me there is no substitute for seeing the garotas in person and finding one that gets the adrenaline flowing (for a starter). I also like to maintain my privacy as much as possible and keep the hotel staff out of my business. That's me.
This leaves me three options:

If you find a house you like, for 60-80R, this can be you daily stop for lunch during business hours or on the way home from work or a meeting before heading out for dinner or to a club. If you are in town regularly or move to SP, with a five times multiplier in buying power for dollars (more for euro) you are bound to have very attractive volunteers that want to spend time with you. What is real and what is fake who knows?

Well, last night was a Sunday & many of the places were closed. I really wanted to try something different [and cheaper] than Kilt. After the concierge called Big Ben [closed] I decided to head back to Kilt anyway. Got there & saw two others open across the street [Cocktails down the street was dark]. Decided to stop in for just a munute at Scorpio [sp?].
Overall a very good experience. R$10 cover. Two ladies drinks & 3 beers for less than R$100 - not cheap but certainly cheaper than Kilt. Next came the challenges: I know zero Portugese & the girl I was smitten with knew zero English. Bottom line - I figured out this was an exclusively take-out joint [excuse my naivete guys]. Okay, now I wonder if the Renaissance will tolerate guests. I presumed so since I had earlier seen a middle-aged white guy in the club lounge with a much younger local-looking gal. Still an unknown, since he at least spoke Portugese & they could've been legit.
So we agree on R$150 and take a cab back to the hotel. Once we arrive, the only thing I noticed was the smile on the bellmen's faces - they saw me leave an hour before by myself & return with a cute young thing (I'm 50+, she was 25 or less). Absoulutely no issues at the hotel. Honestly, I'm not used to the take-home types but can see how this could be addicting - plenty of room, plenty of privacy, good A/C, shower, nice bed.

Sorry I don't have much time to write, but quickly...
Spent almost 2 weeks in SP. It was cold and rainy most the time, but not a big deal. I would stay away from Kilt and the other places on that street. Not many good lookers, dangerous area, and I got ripped off bad (R$350) by a girl out of Kilt. American show was decent and not too pricey. Millenium was unfortunatly closed down by the cops when I went there. Did a girl at Bahamas, but expensive, condom BJ, and all the girls I talked to had very cold proffessional attitudes. Bomboa was the best experience for me in SP and went there twice. Decent selection, good atmosphere and resonable prices.
I met three people while in SP.

Anyway, after SP I went to Rio for two weeks and went a couple times to my usual favorate 4X4. I like it there becuase the selection is big, no cover if you take a girl before 5pm, and at R$150 a session, it's not to pricey to sleep with 5 or 6 girls durring a visit. Overall, Rio was a let down, as its gotten worse there each time I've gone over the past 6 years. Dirty, dangerous, not many good looking girls, etc.. and now with the rate to the dollar down to almost 2 to 1, it isn't as much of a deal as it used to be. I was recently in SP and Goiania.

I just had a session at My Way. I was lusting after Natasha who looks great in her web site photos but not as good in person. So I picked Adriani. What can I say. FTI agree with Full Throttle, Bourbon Street is a jazz club you must visit (if you are a jazz aficionado) in Sampa. It's located in Moema, a district were most of the GPs live.

So I´m taking a breather looking for Eu & Elas. I tried the start of the street as suggested in the post, but nothing there. Well there is a place there called Vison. But it looks really upscale. Thanks, I noticed the address in the directory last night after posting. I thought it was on Av. Aclimacao based on a post a few back. So I wandered that entire street. I'm sorry to bring that up folks, but I know that GDP (not all of them, but quite a lot) charge a different price for gringos.
I don't want to give names here (I can back it up with proofs if needed) - because it is not my intent to bash particular GDP but I want only to reveal a commom practice. Sometimes the diffeence is quite substancial.
R$300 is a little bit above the market, but it is not excessive. It think it is still fair. It's excessive when they charge you $R600, $R500 or even $R400.
Some GDP (still very good looking) even have promotions:R$100 or R$150 for two hours. As it is usual with GDP, if they "like" you they can stay with you a very long time (up till 14 hours or more) without asking for extra money. Of course, the more you speak Portuguese, better are you chances to have an extended session (the girls are not dumb. They like to talk also!).

I visited with JWadd last April when he stayed here which was part of the Accor Hotels chain. It was a super location, two blocks from Love Story and walking distance to Nestor Pestana clubs like Kilt and Cocktail.
I kept on trying to book a room there for this trip but never could on the accorhotels website. I decided to call them directly. Turns out they are now under Atlantica Hotels banner. Prices are about $R125 per night for a double. I am pretty sure that remain girl-friendly. You can earn points towards airline frequent flyer miles (Varig smiles) and hotel stays part of the Comfort Inn chain in Brazil and the US.
I planned to use GOL airlines to fly from SP to Rio on November 10th using the domestic airports. The airfare guoted at GOL's website is R$269.00 (one way). This doesn't seem very cheap for a discount airline. Then I went to the United website and found a Varig flight (GRU->GIG) for only U$S 69.00 (taxes included). Am I missing something? Is it cheaper just to show up at the airport when using GOL? Does anyone have any thoughts on these domestic airports (CGH, SDU) in terms of convenience, safety ,etc?

HI, try Hotel St German. It should be in your budget and it has easy access to public transport. Keep in mind it depends on the places you plan to go. Spanish is good enough to get around the city.
