Be happy that you at least got good service and had fun at a high price. I paid US prices and got lousy service in Santiago from an agency and one independent (who is no longer active), and all subsequent reviews on the big American review board for Santiago have been terrible. This is a lousy market for non-Spanish speakers regardless of a budget. I have since gone to several other countries and all of them make Chile look even weaker. It is not helped by the fact that Club Amsterdam comes and goes, and by the time the other reviewed massage parlors replied to my emails, I was out of the country. In other South America markets, a lack of Spanish is not a barrier. Buenos Aires has two well known contacts that will translate and help English speakers with bookings with only a small fee to the translators. Medellin has a well known hotel with English-speaking owners and providers on site, and Rio has the termas that anyone can go to with published prices for all customers. Chile should be at the bottom of the list for English-only mongers, in my opinion. But thanks for the report, and realize it could have been worse.
Ok, I am stupid and have too much money. It was Sunday and a holiday, so it was hard to find any action anywhere, so I went to Platinum Club. It was even more expensive than Palomino and also quite dead. There was one other guy there and afterwards a few more showed up. Pickings were slim, there was a very pretty Russian girl, but her Russian-Spanish and my bad Spanish didn't allow for any communication. I did end up spending time and a lot fo money with the main dancer for the night, Wendy, a Venezualen girl, who was similar to Rihanna, but even prettier. Yes, it was very, very expensive, but it was one of my last nights free. If someone insists, I will say the prices, but really, I am too embarrassed! So I vow I will pay no more ripoff prices in Chile.

Also, to clarify, both women I spent time with, were the only dancers for each club (one for Palomino and one for Platinum). They both said that they were the only dancers for the night and they were both the prettiest girls in the club, so I went for it and both times were very good. However, the Palomino night I brought the girl back to my hotel and the Platinum night I used their room and I would not use the room again. I'm just too old to do it on couches anymore!

I should also mention, I did not really meet any beautiful Chilean women. I did some touring throughout the city and I have to say that I did not even see very many-very occasionally in the nicest parts of town and in the nicest restaurants. But the girls I was with were all from outside Chile and they also said Chileans were not attractive and I have to agree. I did see many groups of high school students (as seen from their uniforms) on the streets, in the subway, and in the museums and shopping malls and I have to say almost all the girls were chunky and made no efforts at their appearance.

Agreed with Mongerer88. You spent a good money for a good service. From my experience here in Santiago so far, you must spend US prices to have a really enjoyable night. The cheaper I've tried, the lower quality I've got of course. Because only rich expats and foreigners can afford it, those clubs stay pretty high quality. So you spent the money worth your great experience.

1. Platinum: pretty big and upscale venue, almost like a movie theatre. They have shows almost every 30 mins or so. Many girls speak English. They wear dress. Most expensive out of these options.

I recommend to visit these places after midnight (12) as 10 or 11 pm are still a bit too early, and not all of their girls are showing up yet. Also try asking taxi driver. Some of them often receive commission from clubs, so they may have a ticket for one free drink or etc.
Thanks for the vote of support. Two last things:
1) both times I took taxis to the clubs, neither driver knew where the clubs were by their names. Good thing I had the map function on my phone. Also, I used Uber a number of times in Santiago with good success.
2) I really liked one of the girls and set up dates for pay twice more. She said she only gets paid by the club once a week. The other days, she gets what she brings in from drinks and other activities.

What I realized is that there's no motels listed in these areas.
Even though the clubs are usually in those neighborhood.
Probably the closest one I know is this one;.

*Very close to current Club Amsterdam location.
If you know any motel that's even much closer to Vitacura or Las Condes.

Most of the hotels in town seem not very chica-friendly. They will ask your girl to show her ID and sign a form, etc.
W Hotel seems quite loose about it. But most of the other major hotels are not.
If you don't want to get bothered by that, using motel or private rooms in the club are good options.
Private rooms tend to be more expensive though.
(*around 80 K / hour at Lucas Bar as I recall, while motel is around 60 K for at least a few hours.).

I've never been to Passapoga or Lido. Both actually seem pretty upscale from the pics at least (very similar to those in Vitacura), so I'm afraid we will end up spending almost the same as being a foreigner. I'm willing to try though. If I ever visit, I'll definitely drop a review for us.

Approximately what was the damage at a club like this in Santiago?
Sorry, it's now several countries ago and can't remember exact amount. I think it was something like $350 with drink and bar fines. The good thing is with one of the girls I saw her again and avoided all the fees and she went out to dinner with me first for the same price as I paid for her from the bar.

The first left with another guy very soon after I talked with her and the second wouldn't leave with me unless I bought her a drink first. The chica drinks cost 40 mil pesos or $56. If a deal had been closed it's 100 mil bar fine and 150 mil for the chica. For that price I wasn't leaving with less than a nine. The one who wouldn't leave without a drink is a tall Russian with long blond hair and is 28 years old. My guess is she is just selling drinks and not leaving with anyone. I stayed until 12:30 a.m. expecting more hot chicas to show up but it never happened. Spent a little cash and beers but saved the bigger bucks tonight.

For this trip Lima was the "fun" place and Santiago was the business place. I took Sky Airline on the Lima-Santiago one-way at $89 all-in. They were almost 2 hours late, but once they got going it was a tolerable version of Spirit Airlines in the USA Unlike Spirit, they did have a free baggage allowance (1 bag), but otherwose it was A319's, cramped seating and charging (in CLP) for food / drinks.
Most time was either doing business or at the Persa Bio-Bio on a Sunday, but I did have a loose hour or two for more cafes con piernas on Monday and Tuesday. Did a quick once-over in the Franklin / San Diego area on a Monday afternoon but not too much was happening. Club Eros had a cute girl I did two dances with. They hire Chilenas, who tend to be more reserved than other nationalities (certainly vs. The. Are. S) but are sometimes kinda cuts. I had done more thorough reviews of that area earlier.
Going around the east side of downtown on Tuesday afternoon, there's an arcade at the corner of San Antonio and Monijitas with a couple of dark-window cafes. Cafe Fiera has the standard bit (CLP 1. 5 K-2 K for coffee, 2 K per drink for girl's drinks). A curvier, more filled out girl from Peru also had a 10 K oral upsell. I didn't have the exact change and was taken a bit by surprise so I didn't take it. But maybe slightly rauncher than the usually bikinied place.
There's also Cafe Gazu near Merced & Huerfanos, with 1. 5 K coffee and 2 K / song "drinks", but they don't even bother with the shot glass and soda water (so you don't get the visual on how fast the girl can gulp down the drink). It works out to 1 per song, so it'd be like a club in the USA That offered $3 lap dances where you could touch the dancer and not get bothered by the bouncer 99% of the time. And the girl takes off more or it gets hotter with successive drinks, though YMMV. Such a business would do a lot of volume in the USA, you could bet.
But even at $3 a pop it can add up, so I usually didn't stay engaged long. It's not the same as the mensaje places or getting one delivered to your room or even finding one that's TLN-worthy, I know, but it's a lot more interesting than Starbucks and I'd gotten my fill in Peru, anyway.
Although had only one night stay in Santiago, doing the homework before getting there paid out the dividends. My hotel was not GF so bringing any goodies or having anyone visit my hotel was out of question. Before arrival in Santiago, I had contacted several text message friendly girls from Santiago that I came across on either estokada, relaxchile and related websites. Once arrived in Santiago, just texted the girls I had on the list and was able to meet 2 out of 3 in the same night. They sent me the address for Taxi and once arrived at their apartment (both were in Providencia) they let me know their apt number. There was no issue with the front desk which both buildings had.

I was in Santiago about a month ago. I spent 6 nights there. I actually like they place and have found it to be the most civilized of South America. I've been to every country in South America, except for Venezuela I was only stuck at an airport. People in Santiago will actually make a strict line and if you dare cut in line be prepared. I used the metro once and I already bought me a prepaid card and I figured I will just go and use my card at the metro entry. I seen people making a line so I got in where I thought it was fair. Then two young men talk to me in Spanish. They were talking so fast I had no idea what they said, but I knew what they were talking about. I wasn't scared of them though I I just stood there and pretended like I had no idea what they were saying. Then they talked more and more, then I didn't want to seem like an asshole and said in English that I don't speak Spanish. Then they both spoke to me in perfect English "The beginning of the cue is back there". They used some advance English on me. Then the next day near a big shopping mall there are some escalators and during the busy times you will see people form a very straight line waiting to get on the escalators. This isn't something normally seen in the world. And to mention, as of now, Chile is the only Country in Central or South America that is on the US visa waiver program. So if you meet you a hottie in Chile, you can bring her to the US very easy. I think Argentina might be added to the US Visa waiver list next year.
On Enirque Mac Iver street there are at least 5 or 6 adult clubs. But I didn't go in them. What I did do, and found by accident were the "cafe con piernas" Cafe with legs. Note, you go in, and tell the cashier what you want, and you pay the cashier, and they will give you a receipt. You give this receipt to the lady of your choice and she will get your drink for you. OK, what they are doing in these cafes are definitely not legal, I see them lock doors or watch out and they have look outs in the mall. So I won't give a name of the cafes. I will tell you where to find them. There are so many I could not go in them all.
I found 3 types. One is just a normal place that has good looking women wearing type short skirts. Nothing special. I went to one and it was a non-busy time. It had a really good looking woman, but she got me my espresso and that was it. I only found one place where the women wear thong bikinis and sex did not seem to be offered. It was the busiest and most guys wore suits, and most girls were 9's or 10's, but they didn't do anything sexual. But then again there were so many men that it would be hard to satisfy so many guys.
The 3rd type is the best. The 2nd and 3rd type have blacked-out windows and are located in the little shopping centers. Almost every city block downtown has pathways or makes the city block in to a shopping center type area. I was lucky and my first place had blacked out windows and was in a shopping center. They are not like big shopping malls, these are small corridor shopping mall and business centers. Most customers are old guys. The currency in Chile is pesos. The rate was about 1 US dollar to 673 pesos. I just figured that 1000 pesos was $1. 50,10,000 was $15.00 and so forth. I cashed in $100 US at the airport and got a shitty rate of 641 to 1. No passport needed.
But in the city, on Agustinas, between Bandera & Morande, there were several camibo places with different rates. I found a couple that had 670 to 1 rate; so I cashed in there. No passport needed.
I brought almost new $50 notes, but two were marked by a pen. Those notes were declined, but the place next door took the bills.

There was a Duty Free at the airport, but I did not have to use the service.
Communication:
I have the T-Mobile North American plan. My plan gave me unlimited data at 2 G speed, calls at 20 cents per minute and free texts. Thus, I started using WhatsApp on my regular phone. I started chatting with my Airbnb host before I left. As long as I had a WiFi signal, WhatsApp was free of charge. I was chatting on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype; including video calls for no charge whatsoever.
Transportation:
From the airport, I used a regular taxi; 20 K pesos. Because I was leaving Christmas night, I tried to arrange advance transportation, but no one seem to have drivers available. This made me a tad nervous, but I remember reading a TR that stated Uber was in Santiago. Yes, the power of TRs!
So I brought up Uber on my phone, and low and behold, there were some drivers in my area. The driver I had was nervous about being discovered at the airport. When he let me off, we hugged each other like we were best friends. The cost was about half of a regular taxi. And hell, I got a free hug to boot!
Spanish school:
I attended Escuela Newen for two classes a day, Monday through Friday, for one week. I paid for 10 classes, which came out to be just over 17 US per class. Escuela Newen also took my Visa card for the payment.

I found Santiago boring, dirty, and expensive. There were a lot of places to monger; but with over the top pricing. It's a huge tourist city with way too many gringos as far as I'm concerned. If you want to travel that far south, I would recommend Buenos Aires instead. Having said that, I have no regrets. I enjoyed romping through the city, and had some good food to boot.

1 - I used the word "ficha" for the girl's drink. Usually for the cost of the drink (ficha), the girl gets a percentage of that money. In some places, especially Santiago, it allows the girl to sit next to you and you can get to know her better before you decide have sex. I just passed through Santiago and had only about 6 hours stopover. I have been to Santiago before with rather poor mongering experiences.
This time I decided to go direct to Cafe 26. Basically, I entered the mall and staircases were right in front at the entrance. Half floor down were the cafes on the left side. The first one is 27. After thinking I saved the map on my phone for offline use and navigating to infamous 26, I realized that the "action" icons did not save. Crap! Not to worry, how hard could it be right? After having lived one year in Sangtiago (Las Condes) and on the coast in Reaca, all I can say is Chile blows for so many reasons. First, the local women are the least attractive of any in South America, most are downright ugly. The only attractive girls I met there were either on vacation or working girls visiting from someplace else like Colombia or Argentina. Costs were sky high, probably because Chile dosen't have many of it's own beautiful women.
This leads me to the second reason Chile is a flop, the cost of everything is equal to or higher than first world nations, but not any better quality and often times worse. The food is crap except seafood, and if I wanted seafood I would go to Boston which is several times better. Rent for a comparable place and neighborhood as I lived in Chile would be roughly 1/3 the cost in Colombia, in Argentina only 2/3 what I paid in Chile, for example. Chile is said to be the Switzerland of S America, maybe when it comes to prices! I would stay in the US before I would go to Chile, whether to live or for vacation, just on prices alone.
Another reason I don't like Chile is the people. I love meeting new people and have no trouble ever in a new place, I like get out and make friends. Chile is the most difficult latin country to make friends in my opinion, female (not that I wanted to with their looks), or male buddies. Chile has the largest population of feminists (short hairs, as I call them), and homosexuals in SA, and you have to deal with their fragile psychology almost daily as they have many of the government positions, or watch them on TV, just like you would in western countries. No place in South America have I had a problem with crime except Chile. Granted, these were not big crimes but I will explain, since I have never had a problem anyplace else. The only taxi that has ever tried to take me for a ridewas in Santiago, Chile. This clown thought he was going to drive me all over the place instead of directly to a little peruvian owned and operated restaurant I had read about on the internet. As I always prepare ahead of time, I knew exactly where were should be going, he insisted it had to be his way (I speak spanish), and as the meter kept rolling over I finally got pissed enough to tell him to pull over and let me out. He tried to get verbally aggressive, but I just moved over in the seat so I was directly behind him, there was nothing he could do if he turned around, it would've been the end of him, and told him to pull over which he finally did. I then raised my voice and told him he was lucky I was paying anything (we were part way there, even though shoulda been ther 10 minutes before! Through a few pesos in his lap and got out with no further problem.
The second petty bullshit occurrence was in the Jumbo grocery store in Concon on the coast. I shopped there frequently and thought I was not given correct change one day but it wasn't much (exactly $2 k pesos), so made note to pay closer attention though I didn't recall which girl checked me out. The second time I noticed this happen, again I was almost out of the door but turned to see which line and cashier it was so I could verify later. Yes, she had short changed me the exact same amount $2 k pesos. So now I know it is not an accident, its her modus operandi, her little gig. The next day I go back and make sure to check out with the same cashier, same result with the light change, and the verbally light her up in front of everybody. Whereas every latin country I have lived in I ended up staying longer than originally planned, I left Chile early and cut my stay there to half what I had planned. I will never go back, and I will never spend another dime on anything from Chile.

Whereas every latin country I have lived in I ended up staying longer than originally planned, I left Chile early and cut my stay there to half what I had planned. I will never go back, and I will never spend another dime on anything from Chile.So be honest, do you like Chile or not? After having lived one year in Sangtiago (Las Condes) and on the coast in Reaca, all I can say is Chile blows for so many reasons. First, the local women are the least attractive of any in South America, most are downright ugly. The only attractive girls I met there were either on vacation or working girls visiting from someplace else like Colombia or Argentina. Costs were sky high, probably because Chile dosen't have many of it's own beautiful women.
This leads me to the second reason Chile is a flop, the cost of everything is equal to or higher than first world nations, but not any better quality and often times worse. The food is crap except seafood, and if I wanted seafood I would go to Boston which is several times better. Rent for a comparable place and neighborhood as I lived in Chile would be roughly 1/3 the cost in Colombia, in Argentina only 2/3 what I paid in Chile, for example. Chile is said to be the Switzerland of S America, maybe when it comes to prices! I would stay in the US before I would go to Chile, whether to live or for vacation, just on prices alone.

The culture here is not always like some popular mongering countries where you can do video calls or meet the woman in person before you commit to anything. I am doing a mileage run to earn status on Delta and because of this I will be in Santiago on a Sunday at the end of the month from 7 to 5 PM. During a few recent visits to Santiago de Chile, I visited some cafes con pierna. I decided to write up my experience, so you can learn from it too. I'the like to thank Gary Levy (aka WT69) for sharing the famous cafe map, although in the end I took a slightly different approach than his map, as I explain below. It's worth noting that I see the cafes as a curiosity, a tourist attraction of sorts. I'm interested in „what is this good for" and „how does it work for me" rather than trying to make it fulfil my pre-existing, well-defined needs.
OK, so first of all, Chileans divide the cafes (abbreviated to CCP) into 3 categories:
1/ Type 1 - also known as „cafes de media pierna" (cafe with half a leg) - are cafes with enthusiastic female servers in skimpy outfits, who converse with customers. No touching is allowed, it's just conversation. These cafes have transparent glass, or even have a beer garden of sorts, and are often frequented by elderly gentlemen, men eager not to be tempted for more, but most of all just friends meeting for a chat, with the added benefit of girls that you can look at. Cafe Tarantino is a good example of this.
2/ Type 2 - touching is allowed and expected, as is grinding, and hugging. You pay per „dance", but extra services are not provided. Usually you can grope their tits and between their legs through clothes, kiss them here and there if that's your thing, or perhaps you can reach under their clothes. And they'll grope you. Usually clothes are not removed. Gazú is a great example of this category.
3/ Type 3 - like type 2, but extras are provided in private and some nudity happens quite often!
3 a / My own category „3 a" - where sometimes action happens in the open (HJ, BJ or even outright sex).
Extras are HJs or sex. BJs are extremely rarely offered as a stand-alone „product", are almost always covered, usually as very short foreplay before sex. Go DOWN the winding ramp (it's a ramp for walking, not for cars). The first cafe had 2 naked girls dancing, offering dances with touching (30 seconds per dance as it turned out), and put great pressure to immediately go to private. I say: skip it. The other 3 or so cafes are more typical type 3 cafes, with rather friendly ladies, nothing hardcore, but 2000 CLP per long dance (plus your own one drink for 2000 CLP) with some groping of bare titties and / or very friendly attitude is good enough for me.
2/ Galeria Santiago Centro (GSC), Alameda 949 (entrance -33.443111530769826, -70.64984298995527) - is an enormous maze of cafes in the basement level of this shopping center. At the (open air) entrance go down the escalators. It's just cafes con pierna, 23 of them, including 7 called Starleg and 7 called Alibaba. So it's best to refer to them by their store number (such as 114 A), presented at the entrance to each store. These are chiefly type 2 cafes, with some type 3 mixed in. I found them pretty overpriced, I asked around GSC and a simple dance usually costs 4000-5000 CLP, whereas in other cafes outside GSC it costs 2000-3000 CLP. „Cafe Blacks" (119 B) was cool, type 3, if you like black women. 3/ Galeria del Punky (GP) San Pablo 1145 (entrance: -33.43421561386603, -70.65379090439704) - a galeria with most „3 a" category around. The first cafe on the left and the first on the right definitely qualify.
— Own experience: In the first cafe on the left a guy was just getting a blowjob when I entered, but in the end I was not convinced by „my girl" (the only other girl in the cafe) for something more than a dance. In the cafe on the right I decided to get serviced in the common room, but the girl wasn't really happy about it and the service was very short, score of 1/10 - waste of time and money. The area is often frequented by large numbers of men who only loiter around, although are not aggressive in any way. Most of the girls are very fat and unattractive, but there are some exceptions. I did not enter any of the cafes, but hey, whatever rocks your boat. Worth passing by to see. Seems safe enough.
Except these 4, there are numerous concentrations of 2-4 cafes around the city. But please note: it's not fully up-to-date. Only the most popular places.
Worth noting is also an extensive network of type 2 (not type 3) cafes called Gazú, which seem to have good quality control of the ladies and activities, and pretty reasonably priced (3000 CLP for your drink, 3000 CLP for a dance).
Personally I came to like Cafe Imperio (Teatinos 412, first cafe going from the corner, entrance -33.43881618103344, -70.65550376602292). The ladies are in their late 20's-early 30's, but this is very much to my liking, and for their age many of them are very attractive indeed (between 7 and 9 by my books YMMV), and very friendly! It's a type 3/3 a cafe, 1000 CLP for your drink and 2000 CLP for a dance. The dance is longer than in many other cafes (a full song), lots of grinding and groping of bare tits, kissing if that's your thing, and at the second or third dance they discreetly start doing a HJ to entice you to a HJ (or sex) in private, the former of which is 20.000 CLP. And that includes all the dances you received. I think it's a pretty good deal.
Cafes usually open at around 10 AM and close at 8 PM, sometimes 9 PM or perhaps. Rarely - even 10 PM. In case of cafes in galerias (shopping centres), it will almost always be 8 PM, as that's when the galleries close. You can try your luck with cafes outside of galleries, but in the early evening the best idea is to go to a „toples", something more of a strip club, but where touching is allowed and you can easily get extras. These close at 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM. Or go to an „escort".
There are two extensive Spanish-language forums where men share experiences and opinions about the cafes and the girls. One is the aforementioned laestokada<DOT CL, the second is the smaller website lacamilla<DOT CL (go to „Foro", choose Zona Cafetera — Cafe con piernas from the drop-down list, which defaults to „Masajes = Publicaciones" Use Google Translate and do your research.

OK, so as a follow-up to the cafe post, let me share the experiences of going to the "toples" bars of Santiago. "Toples" (one s) is the name used by Chileans, so I'll stick with it. Most of the ones I visited belong to one chain, with the keyword in the name "Paraiso" (not to be confused with "Paradiso") . If you hear a man on the street offering you "paraiso" in a hushed voice with a card in hand, he's inviting you to one of these clubs.
First of all, they're not really bars. They don't sell beverages. Or they offer just one type type, non-alcoholic (like Red Bull), and at a steep price. But nobody drinks anyway. Some customers bring their own drinks, like Powerade in a bottle. Second of all, they're not so much topless, it's more of a full-strip venue, where groping the naked stripper is absolutely normal. Tits, pussy, just don't insert your finger. And try to read what the stripper is okay with, for best effect.
Even more surprising perhaps, is that these are DAY venues, noon until 9:30 PM or 10 PM. Entrance is 4000 CLP, in some 3000 CLP. On two weekdays that I checked (Friday, Monday) there were quite a few men already around 1 PM-3 PM. Everyone's dressed in street clothes, I'd say most are underdressed. Many have backpacks. But they look very average in the positive sense. There's everything from elderly gentlemen, to very horny 20-year olds. It's a mix.
The bars don't have dedicated strippers as such. For all of them the stripping is like a side job, or a side obligation. Most of the time they stand or sit in the main area, offering "extras", and they strip in rotation, with long breaks. I'd say there's a show / strip 1/3 or 1/4 of the time, and only if there are enough customers. But sex is the end game for all the girls. The strip is just to entice you to take a "private session" ("privado") or at least a "private dance" (baile / bailecito privado). The private dance (5000 CLP) is done standing up, in a corridor leading to the girls' changing room, behind a curtain. This, in fact, is just a sample of what will be offered in the proper private session, allowing you to gauge if you really want to go all the way. The private session costs between 20 000 CLP and 50 000 CLP, usually you'll get quoted two options: 25 000 CLP or 40 000 CLP, and you substract the cost of the private dance from that, if you took it.
I always took the 25 000 CLP option, as the more expensive ones were just not convincing. The 50 k CLP offer I once got included anal, and it was in some bigger bathroom or some "better" storage room. Who cares. In the end 25 000 CLP for 15 minutes max is the going rate, but YMMV, it's not unusual to get quoted more.
So where are the toples bars / clubs? Most are concentrated in the northern part of the center of Santiago, especially around Bandera street:
1/ Catedral (Paraiso Catedral) - on the corner of Catedral and Bandera (around -33.43731788213332, -70.65245046296722). It's on the lowest level of the "Catedral" Shopping Galleria. After entering from either street, just keep climbing down.
Own experience. In my opinion, this one is the best. There were always a large number of girls, customers, and shows, whenever I came in. And there was quite a lot to choose from.
2/ FashionGirls. Bandera 642, between Rosas and Santo Domingo (around -33.435955266712774, -70.65316243001527), in the basement of the galleria, just keep going down.
Own experience. Went there twice, it's OK, similar size to Catedral, but not even close in number and quality of girls, and the number of shows.
3/ Morande (Paraiso Morande) - Morande 783 (around -33.43456107003983, -70.65435027214157) - it was kind of OK, a bit smaller than the previous clubs, but not much happening.

Now what was my tactic in these bars? I liked the shows and the groping, so I'd gently send off all the girls offering me sessions immediately after entering. If they came to chat, do some preliminary grinding and just sit with me, it's totally fine, I'd enjoy all these free activities. I loved the somewhat amateurish shows. I made a brief stopover in Santiago. Thanks to all the great posters, especially LocalExplorer, for their beautiful reports and kind sharing of their knowledge and wisdom. Here are my very rushed notes.
* General notes.
- Flying into Chile: an eager airline gate agent asked if I had a return ticket. Which I, of course, did not have, so I pretended to be looking for it on my phone and bought a refundable ticket on the spot. After showing it to her, she did some puzzled button pushing but was eventually satisfied and let me board. No one else cared about my return ticket, including the Chilean immigration agent. So I refunded the ticket as soon as I got into the city. Beware and be prepared.
- Crossing the border: the immigration agent asked more questions than usual, including about what other countries I have been to recently. But after a few questions he let me through.
- Getting into the city: Uber works well, and there's strong wifi inside and outside the airport, strong enough to cover the uber pickup area. Cost me about $20 to go downtown.
- Getting around: this time I decided to stay in the stinking downtown, within a few blocks of all the hot spots mentioned in the other reviews. So I just walked. Airport is about 20 minuntes ride from downtown.
- Money: most ATMs would not work for my US cards! Only Banco Estado eventually parted with a stack of pesos. There's a flat 5500 peso withdrawal fee, so it may be advisable to take out as much as you can in one transaction when (if) you find an ATM that would be amenable to your advances.
- Connectivity: local sim cards are cheap (I think 1500 pesos) and have decent data speed.

I decided to quickly sample the 3 types of places mentioned: "topless" bars, "cafes", and massage places from the forum.

I would not come here for the hobby alone, but if I had other reasons to be here, I would welcome the opportunity knowing that I could be getting action every day.

This forum isn't very active but I'm going to do my best to document my experiences here.
Day 0:
Flight: Flew in from Rio de Janeiro on LATAM, flight was fine, immigration line took forever but that was mostly because there were a bunch of flights that arrived at the same time. I was at the back of the line and by the time I left the queue was almost empty. No one either in Rio or in immigration asked for a return ticket. Only weird thing is they keep saying you have to do the agricultural survey which they seem to take very seriously. I did it but no one actually checked it.
To city: I read that the taxis are all scammy so I took a colectivo. They have counters inside the airport and are really polite and quick. I paid for my ticket and within five minutes the colectivo had departed making my stop first. Total was like 8. 8 lukas. I had a big suitcase and backpack but had no problems and they even helped me with my luggage.
Hotel: I went to the best western estacion central. It's a good international hotel. Generally quiet with strong AC. My only complaint is that the wifi does cut out for a couple of minutes every couple of hours. There is security at the front desk but I think their main purpose is to prevent criminals from entering rather than enforcing any policy. It is very close the university of santiago and the associated metro station. I planned on staying closer to plaza de armas but unfortunately my airbnb cancelled on me at the last minute.
ATM and sim card: ATMs can be found in the metro stations and in every couple of blocks depending on where you stay. The fees are ridiculous though, 8. 5 k per transcation with a 200 k limit per transaction. Fortunately my schwab card reimburses it but it is bad. Sim cards are great here. You can buy them off the street. I picked movistar because I heard it is the best. Put it into you phone, restart it and in a couple of minutes you will get a text saying your number is activated and you get a complimentary 2 gigs data plus something like 90 minutes calling, all for just 500 pesos (or I think it is free if you get it from the actual movistar shop). Topping up can be done via foreign credit card on the movistar website for a nominal fee of 680 pesos.
I was tired after the day and so I called it a night without any action.
Day 1:
I did a free walking tour at 9:30. Took the metro at that time and it was completely empty. It started in plaza de armas. There were a handful of streetwalkers there. The obvious ones were some sort of black (probably carribean) ones. There were a handful of other sexily dressed girls, who were pretty hot, but I wasn't sure if they were streetwalkers or not and I wasn't going to blow my cover in the middle of the tour.
