Trying think of a way to ask this question nicely.........but there isnt. I see Chile has a rather low age of consent, what does this mean for the street action? Just curious is all....honest.

So you speak spanish learned in other country and you arrive to chile.
In a short time (soon you are on the airport) you will realize that they speak some kind of dialect that even native spanish spokers doesn't understand some times.
Chileans doesn't pronounce the "d" between vocals at the end of a word. i.e.: de nada, sounds: de naa. (you'r welcome).
Here are some words used only in chile that doesn't appear in dictionaries:
Pico - penis (very widely used and writed everywhere in bathrooms, walls, etc).
Pico stands for "peak" and it's used that way in other spanish speaking countries.
So when you see the mountain don't say: "Que bello pico" (what a beautiful peak) coz they'll laugh a lot from you.

chilean society:
the chilean society has been for many years far from the rest of the wold.
long distances, the andes mountains, pinochet, and other facts made this happens.
chileans and argentineans they doesn't like each other. it's funny enter on the boards or

chilean people is very influenced by american fiction movies, so they only are

known and european last names (in chile you'll be named by 2 lastnames (father and mother)).
and so, many little details to pretend they belongs to the rich group.
chileans have devotion for strangers, no matters if you carry money or not. especially americans and germans, or anyone blonde, tall and big. (doesn't matter if you are overweight).
this doesn't apply for closer countries or blacks. bolivians, ecuatorians, and so are not welcome so far.
black people it's a very special case: (please notice i have a lot of black friends and i lived my chilhood in africa, so i just try to tell you the facts)
many countries of south america, on their golden age, needed slaves, brought from west africa.
brazil, colombia, venezuela and peru were the leaders.
but chile was a hidden not valuable region, 'cause there was no gold, no cotton and far. in addition, full of mapuche rebels.

There is no way to Mario Krauzberger was born in Israel since the country (israel) was

Yup prices here are very expensive in some items compared to the rest of South America.
Suggest you always bargain it always works, just tell them you do not have any more cash. I have had discounts on buses that way as well. The bigger lines (Tur Bus, etc, are usually more expensive (better buses) and will not give you discounts).

Santiago is a great city, I often spend time there for business.
Let me give you a few advices on mongering there.
- First of all forget about the places in Santiago Centro, that includes rip-off clubs and "cafe con piernas", these places are filthy and the girls are ugly.
- Internet seems to be the best way to find decent chicks. These girls most of the time are independant workers. Best site is relaxchile.cl, sexo.cl is not bad either.
Prices can get really high, some even ask 120.000 pesos a session (1h1/4). Negotiate and never pay than 80.000 pesos, which is already a lot.

SANTIAGO, Chile -- A sex worker in Chile is doing what she does best to raise money for the country's largest charity.
Maria Carolina has auctioned 27 hours of sex to raise money for the country's poor, disabled children during an annual fund-raising campaign.

I have never been to Chile. I think that the problem is two-fold:
(1) The prices are, indeed, higher than the rest of LA.
(2) There is a lack of information.
Forums such as BA have entire sites dedicated to them...in ENGLISH. Few people go to Chile, and the ones that do are unable to go with credible intel.
I will be heading to Chile next month. If anyone has some places they'd like me to check out or questions they want answered, let me know.

Chilean mayor to offer free viagra to older men
For the first time in Chile, a mayor plans to give out free Viagra to men 60 and older in his town to improve their "quality of life" four times a month, according to media reports.
"This has to do with quality of life and it's done responsibly. It's not just like handing out candy at the corner," Gonzalo Navarrete, a physician and mayor of the poor town of Lo Prado south of Santiago, told Las Ultimas Noticias daily.
He said any man 60 years and older who wants it can have up to four Viagra pills a month after undergoing a thorough medical exam to avoid potentially harmful side effects of the drug Sildenafil.
"We'll give out four, 50 milligram pills, in other words, for four sexual relationships per month," Navarrete said, adding that the program would have a starting cost of about 20,000 dollars.
The mayor said the idea for his unprecedented move came from hearing older men in his town complain about not getting enough sex.

Santiago is a great city, I often spend time there for business.
Let me give you a few advices on mongering there.
- First of all forget about the places in Santiago Centro, that includes rip-off clubs and "cafe con piernas", these places are filthy and the girls are ugly.
- Internet seems to be the best way to find decent chicks. These girls most of the time are independant workers. Best site is relaxchile.cl, sexo.cl is not bad either.

police are investigating a possible **** prostitution ring in the port city of valparaíso after a 23-year-old u.s. marine was charged on sunday for allegedly soliciting **** prostitution. as a result of the charge the marine will be prohibited from entering chile for the next three years.
the marine was arrested at 6 p.m. on saturday after police found him with a 15 year-old girl in a hotel room during a police search for liquor licenses at the louisiana hotel. the police report said that the two were found in the room in a “non-sexual” position. the minor told radio bío-bío that they were not alone in the room, as reported by police, but with a group of friends.
the girl was taken to the carlos van buren hospital in valparaíso to undergo physical exams, which found no evidence of a sexual act.
regardless, police are now investigating a possible **** prostitution ring because the hotel was linked to a child prostitution scandal in 2007. the scandal received tremendous national attention earlier this year after a tv report revealed that seven investigations police (pdi) detectives had knowingly solicited sexual relations with minors at brothels, including at the louisiana hotel (st, july 1 ).
the owner of the hotel was also detained for facilitating child prostitution. the hotel is located in valparaiso's dockland area and is a common place for marines to stay and party.
although the legal age for sexual consent in chile is 12, the chilean penal code has a statute called “estupro” ([CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) of a minor), which establishes limitations to sexual contacts with adolescents between the age of 12 and 18 in cases where the minor could be “taken advantage of” by an adult.

I have been traveling in Chile with my significant other and have been able to slip away many afternoons to enjoy the local P4P options. Summary: Chile is more expensive than the rest of South America, more first world, more boring, and safer. Girls on the street are as pretty as anywhere in South America, although there are few Asians or Black girls.
Prices for an hour ranged from 15,000 to 60,000 pesos ($30 usd to $120), although 20k or 25k is the normal low range in most places ($40 to $50 USD). By comparison, the price range in Bogota for an hour is about $25 to $100 usd, although I had a nice 20 minute encounter one time in Bogota for $15 usd. In my brief sampling, there was no relationship between the price asked in Chile and the quality of girl or service. If you don't speak Spanish, you will have trouble, since only one working girl that I met spoke some English.
Most girls work out of apartments (departamentos) - but they don't put the exact address in their adverts. In Santiago they are mainly near metro stops, mostly in Providencia (the stops between Plaza Italia and Los Leones) or in Bellas Artes. Get a good map or print a few area maps from maps.google.com. In Vina Del Mar there are a lot of apartments within 5 blocks of the Casino. In Santiago and Vina Del Mar the addresses are pretty easy to understand. In La Sirena they mostly work out of "cabinas" which are small beach holiday cabins, but there are dozens of such places and I never found any of the places from the instructions given to me by the girls - the street addresses were very confusing. In Puerte Montt in the south there are girls advertising, but I missed that town. In Easter Island there is no P4P that I could find, although there are many attractive young Chilenas walking around who might be available.

I've been reading some posts and enjoyed your tips for Chile. Just want to clarify a few things so you don't get confused:
Completos refers to the service (complete service) this means anal sex included. There are other type of "completos" (food) and that is the term for chilean Hot Dogs (with tomato, avocado, mayonnaise). So don't get confused if any local friend invites you a completo.
To my understanding "empotamiento" refers to falling in love."Empotamiento level" means how much you fall in love with your chica. A high level of empotamiento might be dangerous cause you will be highly attached to a girl who is a sex worker. Some of the fellows add a term "Estoy vacunado" and it means that even though the girl is very attractive and you can get a high level of empotamiento, it doesn't matter cause you had a "vaccine against" falling in love with SWs (figuratively speaking).

It depends which nationality you are.
In case you are american visa is not needed and a few months ago Chile ended reciprocity entry fee for US nationals.

Also Tacna has a bunch of cheap S /15-25 chongos as well as place to get cheap electronics (due to free port).

Any pointers for santiago. Totally new here, and I don't even speak Spanish.
I was able to get some contacts online but not sure how safe they are. Till now everyone I have met, be it a shopkeeper, taxi, hotel reception or anyone else, They all say to keep the phone in pocket and carry as little money as possible.
Ans what is the situation of hotels here. Do they allow guests?

So a couple of weeks ago, I was chilling and shit when I get a phone call from a countryman of yours in Ecuador my home base something I found extremely odd I was under the impression that Chile was like most countries south of the Rio Grande, where you have prostitution that is safe legal and regulated it seems that is not the case in Chile when I studied the issue the reason are plain to see.
