For real? WOW! Are some of the banks in on this? Don't thy monitor they're ATMs? I remember hearing about a huge scam in the states where they hid recorders at Gas Station pumps, Pin pads in convince stores. Places like that; but never in a dedicated bank atm. Now you got me all shook!Generally in NYC it was at the third-party ATMs all over the city, and here it's generally ATMs out in the open in malls and such, not in banks. BUT I have heard of thieves successfully putting one on actualy bank ATMs. Thieves can be really good at what they do.

Once here in Bogota I even got a fake 20k peso note from a legit Davivienda ATM, it was right across from all the money changers in Santa Barbara.

Esteban if you were in Medellin 5/10 years ago you would know what I mean. I'm not sure if you were or not of course.

Put it this way you wouldn't even see a gringo in LLeras. Lucky to see one or two. There was a real novelty factor with the girls. That has seriously worn off now. In fact it has almost done a full circle where some of the girls will tell you it can even be seen as being a negative thing being with a gringo in some circles.

Venezuela is the opposite. Hardly a gringo around now. Easy work. Still not easy as Peru but hotter women.Extranjeros, I. E. Anglosaxons have been, are and will be very special for the latina chicas. In Colombia. The females are not only hot, they are also friendly. Compare to Argentine girls. They are simply boring, except if you go to places in the interior where few gringos have ever been. In Santiago del Estero I hang out with a group of 4 20 why-o cuties. Brasil, I only know Rio. I had an apartment in Bs As and travelled to Rio. Amazing difference for a monger. I would say that the phenomenen "opposite attracts" is a strong factor in Brasil, the interior of Argentina, Colombia, and (as I heard Venezuela). Peru, Paraguay etc. I really can not judge. The good thing is that the ladies who are attracted to anglo-saxon men are the good-looking one's. Females from Brasil, Colombia and Venezuela are hot and they will take their own initiative and approach you. This can not happen in Argentina, or USA or Europe. It can happen, just as you win on lottery. But in these countries, even if we are not so exotic we were 10-20-30 years ago we still are hot meat for this females, whom themselfes make the maxium out of their natural beauty with surgery, make-up and dressing.

Peruvians are hot in Parque Kennedy. But I lived in Arequipa for five months. Girls where generallly ugly or modest looking. Medellíand must be considered the world capital of female beauty, plus this beauties willingness to socialize and have sex with anglo-saxons. My experience is that it counts for the whole of Colombia. Peruvian girls where not like that at all, and few of them are attractive, just like in 'sexprison

You won't believe this but I'm at the airport in the USA waiting for my connection, and went on line to my bank and found almost $600 in ATM charges. This is on a card I never used this trip. I used it once last July with no problems. Look at my posts in the ATM ripoff section (Nicaragua) , and you will see the other problems with two other cards.

Under no circumstane bring ATM cards to Nicaragua. I would of caught it earlier, but I could not access the account out of the country.

I'm posting this in the Colombia board as I think it is now totaly unwise to use ATM cards in Latin America. No wait a minute, I'm getting rid of all my cards to use anywhere. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. Three different cards (only used two and three ripoffs.)

Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. Three different cards (only used two and three ripoffs.) Sorry to hear this buddy. I hope you can get all your loot back and it will not be a huge pain in the balls. SUCKS! Let me ask. Did you bring a lap top? Use "secure" wi-fi? Public computer? Did you let a chica check her email or facebook? Because it looks to me that you are the victim of a larger con / hustle. One card is a coincidence or some shit luck. TWO cards means you've been targeted specifically, THREE cards and you know they're riding you to the poor house and you need to secure ALL of you CC and bank accounts and DO NOT sleep on your paypal either if you have one!

You're lap top has been compromised some how either by some hackers spy ware or a fisher bot program thing. With this new info I'd say it was not the ATM scam rather a larger attack over the internet that granted them larger access to your shit. If we were in the states I'd say out right identity theft via the mail but because it's in another country I would guess they stole your info right off your computer.

I think you guys are right. There is more to this than meets the eye. It could be a hacker or an inside job from my Novia's relatives.

At this point I'm putting my claims in to get my money back.

Funny it got me thinking of my first Mongering trip to Costa Rica. No Atm cards, no cell phone or laptop, just a fucking blast with the cash I brought into the country. I think a return to the old ways is sometimes a good idea.

If it's hackers they're just liars and thieves and you got unlucky; if it's a part of your girls family now you're a victim of theft and of betrayal of somebody's family (maybe the NOVIA?) that you care about and in many ways that is MUCH worse. Does anyone know the current prices (Summer 2011) of a lady for short time and for all night? What are the girls asking and what is acceptable? I have heard that Cartegena is the most expensive city for girls. What about Bogota and Medellin? What about other smaller towns?

The current exchange rate is one US dollar to 1, 920. 00 Colombian Pasos What are the girls getting and what does that mean in US dollars for short time and all night?

(So, I guess this is the right thread for non-chica subjects, right?)

I went to both Hooters & Time Out over the weekend to see if they were showing the Monday night game. They both said yes.

Monday night I plopped my butt at Hooters to watch the game.

Four mini cheeseburgers were. Adequate. I was hungry.

Get this: With about five minutes left in the game (20-30 minutes real time) with a score where anything can still happen, Hooters announce they're closing! WTF!

I see Time Out across the street still has the game on so I run there & ask the guy if he's also closing. He says yes but I can watch the rest of the game since there's not much time left. He didn't even ask me to buy anything!

I ask him if the bars are closing due to some law on the "Dia De Festival". He says no,"It's just slow".

About five minutes later two guys bounce across the street from Hooters as well.

They say they had just bought one of those tall tubes of beer that probably holds about a six pack when they too heard the announcement. They had to chug their beer really fast or leave it behind.

I didn't expect them to keep the whole staff on for me & a few other cutomers, but the manager could've stuck around for a little while.

Guess where I'm NOT going this Sunday.

Hello, Gentlemen!

Does anyone know of and Horse Racing tracks in Colombia? My research has shown there used to be one in Bogota, but it has closed down because of rumors of too many horses were getting dosed with "marching powder".

I also see a couple ranchos de caballos de carreras one in Bogota, one in Medellin.

I also have seen some clues on the 'net about one in Guarne, Antioquia? Tunja, Boyaca'? Any confirmations?

ODOne of the reasons I liked Lima was they have a race track there. I need things to do to keep from getting bored on my long trips. I think there used to be a track near the International airport, but it is closed. I would be happy to hear of one opened in Colombia.

Affirmative. My new girl is from Guarne. 30 minutes from Medellin. Check it out.Thank you for the reply, have you actually been there? Does the track have a website?

I think this would be a great way to spend a day, I love the track because it is a full day of entertainment, and it is something different.

There is only so many chicas, discos, bars, and ecotours I can do. The reason I travel so much is that I like the change of scenery and experiences.

I find it quite odd that in Colombia, a country that is so deeply cultured around horses has an extreme lack of race tracks. Especially in Medellin, where they have the Horse Parade (The Cabalgata). Pablo Escobar used to own dozens of race horses. I have also seen posters of horse shows around Colombia.

If anyone of you have a link to the track website, or have actually been to this track, I'd really appreciate to hear from you.

Same rules that apply on Wall Street.

Yeah besides the hunt to look for the other 4 Colombian men involved, I don't see what this has to do with Colombia either.

"The authorities were still searching for at least four Colombian men who escaped during the rescue, El Aissami said. He did not say whether anyone was wounded in the gun battle."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/13/wilson-ramos-baseball-kidnap-rescue

And here are comparitive studies of the likes and differences between the Farc and Paramilitary groups in Colombia.

http://www.brookings.edu/articles/2009/06_criminality_saab.aspx

"After the fall of the Medellin and and Cali drug cartels in the early 1990s and the subsequent disorganization of the drug market, the AUC and FARC were presented with a unique opportunity to expand their illegal activities. The paramilitaries used the new environment to solidify their participation in the Colombian drug industry and international trafficking and to expand their 'in-house' drug capabilities. FARC remained primarily focused on the domestic protection and production of cocaine and strengthened its links to international criminal organizations to move and distribute drugs."

The whole para thing started 30 years ago with the AUC, which was formed by a bunch of wealthy Colombians with the help of Israeli mercs because they thought the government was being too soft on the rebels and wanted to end things once and for all.

The paras are NOT famous for kidnapping, the FARC and to an extent the ELN have been (although that's really a thing of 15-20 years ago now). The paras have been accused of such things as torture and mass killings in towns they believed were sympathizing with the guerillas.

I've been talking / bbm'ing / msn'ing / calling to few girls from Cartagena and something very funny happened and it looks like a modus operandi. This is the deal.

After few days of talking and "liking" each other all the sudden they came up with a new msn email address. Asking me to delete the old one and add on the new one.

Because they forgot their password or got hacked.

LOLIn the 90s they were picking people right out of Bogota and Medellin in broad daylight, or on the road from Bogota to Melgar, as well as conducting open attacks on military installations in the cities. Nowadays you have to go way out of your way into the boondocks to be at risk for that sort of thing.

The oil workers getting kidnapped do make the news here, but that's in an area so remote it's impossible to get there by accident. And if you're working for an oil company you better be used to danger the world over by now. If you're working up in northern Canada you could get fired on by one of the First Nations militia too.

Robberies should be a mongers biggest concern and while I am not trying to be a fear monger here, it is real and it is or should be on everyone's mind when walking the streets. Unfortunately too many guys think that because they haven't experienced it that it doesn't exist or that there is such a slim chance that it will happen to them that they let their guard down or even worse they write on the forum about how safe Colombia is, which in my opinion is doing first timers to the country an injustice.

That happened 3 times with 3 different chicas. How did you find these girls.

You are 100% correct, kidnapping is the least of a monger's worries while in Colombia. The big problem for tourists are the paseos millonarios (where a taxi takes you to the ATM and cleans you out) or getting scopolamine put in your drink if you're out alone. ALWAYS call a taxi by phone when out partying in the richer areas at night, especially on the weekends ESPECIALLY around 10 or 11pm. And NEVER leave a drink unattended. I really don't recommend people coming here as tourists go out alone to places EXCEPT the actual brothels. But to the regular bars, it can be risky. I generally go to places where I know the owner and most of the staff, or if not I go in a group.

I see some logical fallacies in BC's post. If one is never to go to unknown places, how is one ever to get to know any owners? Similarly, if one is never to trust anyone, how does one agglomerate a group to go out with? Or to put it another way: your mother told you never to talk to strangers, so you never made any friends. I understand BC is addressing his advice to "tourists." What, exactly, is a "tourist"? A pure tourist would never be mongering, and a monger would never be a pure tourist.

Now BC does make some good points, albeit rather indirectly. The average touron (that is a cross between a tourist and a moron, for those who don't know the term) thinks the "safest thing to do" is to take a taxi. The truth is quite the contrary in most Latin American countries. The taxistas are the ones telling the chorros where the gringos are staying.

1) Never tell the taxi from the airport your real hotel. Have him drop you off at the next closest hotel.

1a) Don't take a taxi in the first place; take a bus and then a taxi and have him drop you off at the next closest hotel.

2) Never have the taxi drop you off in front of the puticlub. Have them drop you at a nearby public location.

"Always call a taxi by phone" is indeed excellent advice, UNLESS you speak no Spanish and have the club call one for you. Then you just fucked yourself. Have the number of an independent taxi service BEFORE you go out, and be prepared with the address of a nearby hotel that is NOT where you are staying. If no Spanish whatsoever, better off having the bartender call you a cab than the doorman.

If there is anyone else in the elevator, or even if there is not, punch the button for one or two floors above where you are really staying and walk down the stairs, after making sure the elevator is closed behind you. This is an excellent security procedure no matter where you are.

Regarding having your drink drugged: Yes, it's a good idea to cover your drink at all times, but that can seem suspicious. Certainly don't go to the head and leave your drink at your seat. The best thing is to be Irish and that way your drink will be empty so fast no one can drug it.

Never trust hotel safes. Someone has a key or the combination. If you DO trust them, change the combination every time you leave the room, and wipe the keypad clean.

Scan the declaration page of your passport, the visa page for your current entry, your driver's license, and a copy of your return ticket. Don't do this in your hotel if you can avoid it. Send these to your e-mail. DO NOT save them to your computer hard drive.

Think about what you have to lose. I am single and childless and old. Not so much to lose. If you have a family depending on you, don't even go to dangerous places like Colombia. Similarly think about that when deciding whether to resist a robbery. If I decide to risk taking someone down with me, that's different than if you decide to do it, and have a wife and kids to support.

A good friend of mine just posted on facebook to send her messages there because she was robbed. She is a dental student and 2 dudes on a moto robbed her at gunpoint and took her purse with everything in it on the autopista. It is a good spot for robberies because then they can just haul ass on the highway. She was more pissed of about having to replace her cedula more than her blackberry. But still the strength and bravery she showed me. So nonchalant. Other girls I know don't leave the house for a week after.

The chicas are very good at internet detective work, and they want to know "who is this chica, who is that chica".

They do not want you to "friend" another "friend" of theirs, and trade info on them, compare notes.

I've been busted a couple times this way, and I no longer do that social networking crap.

Conversely, I have received emails "STOP WRITING TO MY WIFE!"

Social Networks and PM-ing is a MAJOR security and privacy risk.

In their defense, it is very possible that if they go to an internet cafe and forget to properly logout, or forget to uncheck the "remember my password" box.

The actual "puticlubs" as you put it, generally are above board because they have reputations to protect. And just stepping out on the street after dark in Santa Fe is a pickpocketing risk, as well as a mugging one! I'm not the kind of guy to balk at walking dangerous streets but Santa Fe is really something else. I've never personally had a problem there but I've seen enough shit go down. I almost always have gone alone to Santa Fe but I do it during the day.

I really recommend people here as tourists and don't know anybody to NOT go to any of the "normal" pick up joints for that reason. Go straight for the straight up brothels instead. Especially if you're going to be drinking. I think drinking and getting drunk alone in a bar just about ANYWHERE on Earth is stupid and risky, but here it's just pure insanity. Best to come at least with a wingman or make some local friends before you do those sorts of plans. This includes thinking twice about that "non-pro" that invited you. She's probably not really so much of a "non-pro" and if you got a live one you could be in for the setup of your life. Make her meet at YOUR hotel (don't give previous notice of it either) or at neutral places. Don't EVER let her choose the meeting place until you've established some familiarity with her.

Reading about the recent exchanges regarding safety in Colombia and all the tips that come with it on how to avoid unpleasant situations made me wonder if one is supposed to get in James-Bond-mode while travelling around the world looking for some strange ass.

Not really.

I actually wonder why on earth would you travel in the first place if you're to look over your shoulder constantly in paranoy.

All one needs to do is being sensible in the way he behaves and carries himself, knowing that Colombia, as well as many other different places around the world is not exactly the same as Disney World and that things such as muggings do happen there on a regular basis.

For the record, it is just plain suicidal to consider anything else but compliance in the case one is actually being mugged in Colombia (or anywhere else for that matter). Make life easier for yourself and only carry around things you're OK with eventually parting with, without blinking an eye; modest amounts of money, no watch, a cheap mobile phone. Know that no material possessions are worth losing your life for and that muggers are either crackheads or mindless desperados and you can't rely on them to make the right decisions, you have to know what's best doing in the situation you find yourself in.

You need not to be fooled by a false sense of security just because you don't see things happening around you, if you're on stranger lands chances are that you're not actually seeing what's REALLY going on around you. I see tourists getting off the plane in the city I'm from wearing Rolex and I shake my head in disbelief because I know full well that they've got pretty good chances of being shot at over it.
It doesn't necessairly mean that you can't wear a Rolex around there, as a local I know there is almost no danger wearing it in most neighborhoods (ironically enough, none of the safe neighborhoods happens to be the kind of place where a tourist would be in to begin with and the tourist areas are all dangerous to some degree), but just as well I take it off and slip in my pocket as I go trough the city centre because I know better and I don't need to complicate my life for a watch.
As an out of towner one can't match the level of awareness of a local, and sadly it is often a fine line between the dos and the don'ts. You don't want to be on the wrong side of the line so for your own sake, play it safe, it's no rocket science after all.

Also, it might be useful to come to terms with the fact that if you go around wide enough and long enough, you will eventually find yourself in certain situations, so I think it's better to be prepared and knowing what to do to get yourself out of it as safely and quickly as possible instead of living life constantly wiping your fingerprints from the safe and taking rounds around the block as if you got strangers waiting with guns around the corner looking to take your life away.

Make your life easier! Be SENSIBLE!

Bless

Sounds like your paranoid bigtime! Believe me know one wants anything to do with your dusty old ass.Not at all. I'm the one famous for resisting robberies and fighting with would-be muggers.

The advice I gave I think is just common sense that should apply the world around when mongering. I had a friend in NYC stupid enough to follow a SW to her place to do the deed. He had the girl on all fours and her pimp jumps out the closet and puts a knife at his throat.

Hello.

Is it legal with porno in Colombia? I have found some Colombian porno sites, very rudimentary.

It should be cheap to produce and there is a vast amount of girls who would do it for a fraction of what a US pornostars salary. We have seen Jake in Brasil, Mike in Brasil etc.

There are lot of video sexchat girls from Colombia. I actually stay in touch with one of them, the other is a model (but claims she works in advertizing, due to her nice flat in Laureles, Medellin).

Anybody has had any thoughts about this?

My point of view is to let my females friend fotographer make the videos and try to get a contract with a production company in the US or Europe and recieve the revenues. While, I, or other anglo-saxons have sex for free. With awesome colombianas.

Any suggestions?

I'll add my 5 cents. I've been to Colombia 6 or 7 times and consider it to be one of the safest countries to travel to. I always take my (not Rolex) but big and expensive watch to Cartagena. There are many apartment and other foreign business owners who live there worry free, I can't see why they would choose me a target rather than them. I dress nice but do not bring my watch to Bogota. The only thing that makes me a bit nervous is catching a taxi from that seedy barrio with the street with all the strip clubs (I forgot what it's called). It's a bit of a drive and I don't know the city well. But you have to act like you know and appear aware and sober. I still don't know how to deal with this situation. Best thing to do might be to have your hotel call an official taxi for you and then make a deal with the driver where he will wait for you for a flat rate. I have heard that taxi muggings happen in Argentina and Colombia but don't know anyone personally who had been robbed.

One thing I would be careful about in Cartagena is carrying anything illegal on self. I have seen cops stop and search tourist, and my friends have been searched while walking home with a girl from LDV. Leave your party favor in your apartment if you must do them. Other than that your biggest risks are being run over by a taxi or bitten by a beach dog.

I have paranoia going to Mexico, and I don't get those who travel to any destination other than a resort in a large touristy city like Cancun, certainly not Acapulco. I would not go anywhere near Mexico border towns. Tourists are targets and there are some pretty bad statistics. Another destination is Venezuela, I think going to the capital is suicidal.

Colombian Peso: Today it is 1950. 50 to $1 USD. Good for folks there now converting USD. By the way, I got the best rates at BOG domestic terminal than in CTG (not by much) but for those of you that care about 75 peso difference, they may want to try that.

So my girl in Barranquilla gave me a number to call her and I am having one helava time trying to call. I got a 300* number and I'm trying to call from the US using a calling card. This dumb calling card says to call the card number for my area, enter the pin, dial 011 to reach out of country numbers, and then I found through websites that I have to dial 57 before the number she gave. Problem is that it doesn't work. Another website says that things are different for home pays as compared to cell phones. Can someone please PM me and help me out. I was suppose to call tonight but since it didn't go through I would like to try again tomorrow. Not sure it matter, but I'm calling from Washington DC. Any help appreciated.

I don't know what is worse these new posts or guys asking about a Help type Disco in MDE.

After all it takes a little effort to give some info back instead of always looking to be spoon fed.

Most of the Mongers I meet on my adventures are great guys so I still try to give out intel while on the ground, but your right, it does get old after a while.

I am returning to Barranquilla in January. Last time I stayed at the Sonesta Hotel. It was nice an luxurious. But holy crap I spent a lot just for a room to sleep in at night and internet, though the buffet breakfast was nice and made me fat for the entire day. My first trip was in October and it was my first time meeting my girl and I had a blast. She lived in La Paz which is in the moutain area of Barranquilla and quite a poor living but the people were friendly and NOBODY asked me for money. I did buy 2 50lb bags of rice for my girls family and the smiles on their faces was beyond gratifying. I also bought chocolates for the neighborhood children who all sang the aphabets and danced for the candy. We made it into a game.

So this is my question. Where the hell can I find a decent place to stay for under US $100 a night? I want to stay longer than my previous 5 days and a nice hotel is about US $1300. Way too much and I know there are hourly motels that have jacuzzis and wetbars but none come up on google search. With someone with expereince in BAQ be able to point some out. An alternative to a hotel may be an apartment, however it is without breakfast, swimming pool etc. For example Alvaro Jesus is 150 000 COP per night. Small apartments have a living room with open kitchen and a bedroom. The building is close to hotel del Prado Carrera 53 # 91-100. In Colombia motels are usually love hotels where one rents a room per 3 hours or so. However they have special and attractive all day offers during the week Monday to Thursday. Rooms in motels can be quite luxury. I do not know if it is a good idea to go to one with your girlfriend.

I agree with a lot of negative opinions about Spirit on the other thread. Whenever they cheat you, you should file a complaint to the USA Dept of transportation and Federal Trade Commission. Here are the links.

http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/problems.htm

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

Also, please keep records and gather evidences. Please keep records of the names of representatives, and who did what on what time. If a representative promised you a compensation or others, you write "refund$100","hotel", etc, on a paper and have him / her sign. If s / he refused to sign, take a picture of her.

I have filed a few complaints against Spirit and Orbitz. They sent me apologies and refunded some amount of money. They are very scared of the federal agencies.

Hey everybody,

I have a little question for you fellows. I'm going to Colombia on a student visa. I'm going to apply for the visa soon. I have a little problem, I have a criminal record of 2 cases of battery (assault) and 1 of breaking. Two of the covictions are from 2004 and one is from 2006. I have no outstanding warrants of arrest, I'm not on bail nor on parole. The last conviction is almost 6 years old. And its a chapter of my life I'm forgetting. Do you think I will be denied the visa or will I get it easly? I'm a little nervous, hope you can help.

Thank youI think you should find a legitimate Colombian forum where there are plenty of "legal experts" on Colombian law to assist you. Even thought there are many knowledgeable members here, none of us claim to be experts on Colombian law or immigration. This is a SEX forum and SOME of us are somewhat "experts" on that LOL. With that said my gut feeling is that if the cases have been adjudicated already I don't think it should be a problem.

I've been to Medellin twice, (sadly not recently enough) and although I love blonde northern European women, was extremely impressed by the girls I met there. In fact, I was under the impression that the Paisas were the real treasure of Colombia. But this weekend I attended a Colombian wedding here in Cali. This crowd was from Bogota (and obviously upper crust) but OMG these were the hottest women I've ever met. And even hotter when they started to dance. Normally I'm partial to young (18-22) but in this crowd the 30-40's were definitely doing it for me. I doubt there were any Prepagos among them, so I'm not reccomending Bogota for P4P, just saying there are some stunning women from there, and I thank God for that.

Mr. E If you look at the new posters who ask a lot of questions without really trying to read the forum then when you look back after their trip most likely you will not see a trip report. After all it takes a little effort to give some info back instead of always looking to be spoon fed.

Most of the Mongers I meet on my adventures are great guys so I still try to give out intel while on the ground, but your right, it does get old after a while.Dear Mr. Gault:

1) I read and appreciate your postings.

2) I do agree that there are many newbies who don't read the forum, ask a lot of questions and never give back and that is certainely frustrating.

3) When I was a newbie, planning my first trip (which was to Thailand) I read hundreds, maybe thousands of pages of forums before I asked a question But, being a Newbie I still had a lot of questions and anxiety which a few generous souls took the time to answer. Was that information in the forums? Maybe, but I didn't know how to extract it and need the advice of my "brothers". I have tried to give back some information, certainly I haven't given as much as you have (but then I haven; t YET been able to have as many adventures.

4) So, while I think RTFF! Is always good advice, I also believe that we promote and enhance the hobby by sharing intel with mongers at every level, hoping they will appreciate what they were given and reciprocate / I know that's why I'm here.

Best,

Errol

Every woman has a price! American women and every other kind, married, unmarried, hate to break it but they all have a price. Even the rich ones, because they all want more. I will take a pay for play any day, its much cheaper in the end. I been with 1200. Per hour girls and with 20. 00 one hit girls. I don't even care if there really nice looking, doesn't matter as long as I have a good time and happy when they leave. I love honest women. Pay me and I am happy! There the women I love. A.With Tigo you get recorded voicemails as well. Nothing you can do, part of the prepago phone thing. Unless you have a Galaxy SII or some rooted Android 2. 3.4 phone that will allow you to block calls and texts using certain parameters. Like "no texts from a number not in my contacts list"

Also Tigo starts sending their messages before 8AM.

Motorcycles are my third love behind God and family, but there are too many problems associated with riding in Colombia. Criminals are one aspect, but I hear alot about some " no passenger" law that is coming.

You might want to switch this topic over to the " general info" section, because they have some rough boys here in the Medellin forum, who will chew our asses up.Are you saying they won't allow a passenger on any bike? Some of these bikes have bigger engines than a small car! It would be a shame to pass such a law.

Zig Monger.

DAS will not disband, maybe change their name if that but still will be doing the same job.

DAS has records of all tourists and where they stay, even if they are in apartments because its law for the apartment renter to supply that information to them, if he does not then he is breaking colombian law.

Mr GoGo.

What a way to see Colombia, I'd do it but for the rain here but I'd rather drive, I'm no spring chicken any more and I've nearly seen every thing that I want to see.

We here at the hotel have hosted many bikers from the BMW group travelling from Alaska to Cape Hope or what ever its called to single Harley bikers.

I have some Australian sea captain friends who sail from Portobello in Panama to Cartagena and they are always bringing bikers with there bikes.

AG.Aussie, good point about the rain. Isn't there are a narrow window of couple of weeks some time in the year when it is expected to be dry or does it rain all the time?

It would be a shame to pass such a law. From what I understand, most robberies are committed by guys riding as passengers brandishing guns. I feel what you want to do. Here is a beautiful country and what better way to explore it than on a bike. Maybe a group event like Greg suggested might be best, but riding alone could be risky.

In Medellin, seeing the Motorcycle riders zip between the cars is amazing. I can't believe that there aren't a couple of dozen killed each week. You Gringo riders do that when you're in Colombia? Just wonderingI do that routinely. Part of the fun riding on a bike. You just pass the cars sitting there like they are in a parking lot. It can be intimidating if you are not an experienced driver. I rode in Italy once with a friend who refused to do it (he is from California) and I don't ride with him anymore.

Some people freeze up when they see bikes zooming by, and one tilt of the wheel can mean serious problems for the rider. We have to watch for tourists who will pop a "U turn" right in front of us. We have to watch for elderly people who freeze up and brake for no reson. I would never cancel a friend because he wanted to be safe and make it home to his family.

Not a hundred percent sure of the meaning behind Vitrea's post. But as someone else also picked up on, it kind of comes across like he doesn't ride with his friend anymore because he couldn't keep up. Hey! Slow down once in a while. You'll do yourself and everyone around you a world of good. An opportunity to break a routine can be a good thing.

I'm planning a trip to Colombia this year and have a some questions on phones in Colombia.

Do a lot of chicas in Colombia like in other countries use blackberries because BBM is free and the best way to keep in contact with people?

The reason I ask because I have an unlocked blackberry and I found BBM really convenient when keeping in touch with chicas when I'm in another country.

Here's another question. Is it easy to by a sim card I'm Medellin and will it work with my unlocked phone?

Thanks.

AMBYo. YES! Chicas love I'm / BBM just like girls in the states! Actually most of the "regular girls" I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with all have black berrys and alaways ask what's my pin.

Sim cards are easy to find, in most every mall at the Tigo, Movistar, or Comcel store you should be able to get a sim card, or even at the kiosks at super markets should have them. I got mine at a internet cafe (not too many in the gringo areas of Medellin surprisingly) in Olviedo mall for a few bucks.

I have a cheap phone I got jailbroke in Peru that wroked all over South America (Argentina is on a different systyem as I can tell so it did not work there) so I'm guessing yours should work.

Hi,

I have 2 months holiday and I want to spend it in on location if possible. I usually go to Pattaya as it has EVERYTHING. But latino women make my heart skip a beat. Is it possible in Cartegna to do the following:

* learn spanish and dancing for 2 months.

* do a bootcamp / get a personal trainer for 2 months to lose weight.

* hire an apartment that allows guests (and ideally asks for their I'd to be left behind while the guest is in the apartment)

* have ST and LT fun.

* good time to go in Jun-Aug.

What sort of costs will I be looking at?

What sort of costs will I be looking at?* You should be able to learn to Speak and Dance no problem. Both lessons can be found at an institute.

* Bootcamp? I guess you could hire a personal trainer but one that speaks English I'm not sure.

* If you rent a spot it's your; you just have to responsible for the behavior of your guests like it was your actual apartment. Most places have a no loud parties clause IMO.

*I'm guessing ST is Short Term and LT is Long Term, If I am correct then yes you should be set and there should be no issue.

* Google the Time frame to check on the weather and be sure to check for holidays. Colombians love 3 day weekends and they all run off to the Mountains and such so all the big cities dry up and become ghost tows.

Good luck and report back

The fun factor will not compare to Pattaya, but life is all about different experiences. It is good that you have a game plan and do not plan on just chasing women. Otherwise, it would be a long 2 months.Always a problem for me on the long trips I take is the boredom factor. After you see the sites in a location then you find yourself with too much time on your hands till you do your huntng. I'm 42 days in Colombia, and had to get out of MDE as I was bored. I'm in Santa Marta now as I love the beach. Problem is the water is very cold. Of the 6 days I have been here I have only been able to swim one day.

I think I will have to reconsider Lima again as I can bet American horse racing there. This kills the afternoon, and leaves me the night for the hunt. Also the DR has horse racing, I think, but I'm not sure. Anyone know of other areas where I could bet on USA races please PM me. I'm not interested in Purto Rico (sic) as it is too expensive there for me.

I now take a couple dvds that I haven't seen and stock the room with water, beer, and snacks. I've been in Sosua when I go straight from the airport to the hotel and hit the strip without even unpacking. You just want to jump on the merry-go-round that bad. We tend to run ourselves ragged trying not to miss anything, but our bodies need quality down time to add to the balance we need.

When I'm in Medellin I go till 4am, then sleep til 2pm, but I missed out on getting the jump on starting something fresh early. I'm also learning that my travels should not be based just on pussy. I need the culture. Taking a tourist trip (no pussy) , hanging out with the locals, feeling the vibe of the expirience is my motivation.

As far as people there having more sex, if this is true then it is probably because there isn't shit else to do but go to the mall. As many times as I have been to Colombia I am just realizing this. Before my trip I incessantly asked my girl what we were going to do. She would never answer. The first two days we went from mall to mall and for fucking what? Not a damn thing but to walk around in circles. I swear if I would have gone to another Unicentro, Cosmocentro, Astocentro, Megacentro or what the fuck ever other kind of -centro that I was going to hurt somebody. After all these years of going to Colombia I guess I was too busy running around chasing tail to realize there was nothing else to do but run around and chase tail. Being with only one person made me realize that.

Mr Gogo,

JayMangos is a legitimate griingo tourist trap nightclub with a lot of schtick acts. Hot women dancers everywhere but mostly couples and large groups which keep an eye and a tight grip on the ladies surrounding and sitting with them. There are no working girls there besides the ones that the gringo tourists bring in with them LOL. I've only heard of some urban legend that some of the dancers could be bought at a hefty price of $1000usd+ but like I said this is only urban legen and I cannot confirm or deny and then how would you even approach one of the girls and ask her that? You would have to find the top shelf pimp for that one.

Can you pick up "regular girls" from there? Well can you pick up regular girls in clubs in NYC and South Beach? then you might be able to do it in Mangos, but not without a firm NON SPANGLISH command of the language.

mr gogo,

how is mangos. is it possible to pull girls from there?

jaymhl is correct. it was a different kind of place, that was so weird that it was fun. girls dance in themed outfits, but i never tried any of them. most of the girls were in groups. they have horses mouths that you [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) into. they have a midget and big yellow bird running around. the videos play car crashes, and speed videos. all the girls will let you take pictures of them in their outfits. i will try to find my old memory card with pics of all this.

overall it was a great time away from the regular pussy chase.

Mangos is a legitimate griingo tourist trap nightclub with a lot of schtick acts.

It's not a tourist trap because there are not that many tourists in Medellin. It's more of a hangout for the rich, upperclass and mafioso locals. Since it's a nicer atmosphere, gringos like to go there too. There are working girls. Mafios bring them as do gringos. Not a good idea to poach them though. Asking for a fight, but you can try to discretely slip them your number. Working girls also LOVE to celebrate birthdays, and special occasions there. However it's hard to tell the difference because local packs of girls do the same. It's not a great place to pick up working girls, but these girls love to drink and which girl doesn't like free drinks? When you see a group of girls are almost done with there bottle, offer them drinks from your table. You'd be surprised with their reaction.

It's not a tourist trap because there are not that many tourists in Medellin.

You're kidding me right?? Every single unknowing tourist in MDE will be in 2 places on Saturday night, In PL or in Mangos. Others who know the city well will venture out to other areas to avoid the riff raff.

When you see a group of girls are almost done with there bottle, offer them drinks from your table. You'd be surprised with their reaction. This is a good strategy but the girls who frequent Mangos have chocha de oro syndrome so get ready to work the game for a WHILE if you have the dedication and time.

Is not a smart idea, your asking for MORE than a fight and now he has you number. BIG LOL

AG you know you're a "special case" haha. In my opinion I would not call your particular circumstances typical, especially you going to Mangos for 8 or 9 years now where people know you there, what you do, the clientele you work with and bring in. I'm sure it was some kind of nostalgia for the people back then.

It is a fun place and I am a tourist and I did not find that a trap. I guess it depends on what one's definition of a trap is. I do recommend guys visit it at least once if you have time.

The last time I went, I went with a prepago and her sister. I had my chic for 3 hours and after 2 hours I was done hanging out in the room so I asked her if she wanted to go to Mangos. She was very excited and asked if she could call her sister (typical chic MO) and showed me her sister's picture on the phone. I thought my chic is hot but the sister was hotter. So we went there, got a lot of attention, danced for while, kept the drinks to one each and Nobody tried to hit on them while they were with me. I left to go to Fase II after 2 hours. The girls were still there having a good time and I am sure they found more generous companions and a much better dance partners.

Locals don't go to "tourist traps" because they know better. It is popular among locals making it not a "tourist trap."

Nobody said it was an optimal place for working girls but it's doable. Also, I wouldn't go after a colombian guy's girl, but you can bet 9 times out of 10. A girl with a gringo is a working girl.

Always a problem for me on the long trips I take is the boredom factor.

I'm not interested in Purto Rico (sic) as it is too expensive there for me.Costa Rica is perfect place.

If I'm a fat fuck and born before 1955 and my girl is smokin and I don't have much money. She might be a p4p. I also had to knock out a security guard at el estadio for trying to take my camara when he went through my stuff. He had a rifle, he got fired. These people are no tougher than anyone else in the world.

Stop generalizing and go back to mayorista and have a beer and bang the same p4p that truckers in Colombia bang. Bawawawawa."I have a great idea. Lets pay $2000+. Go to Colombia. Remember Tony Montana didn't want to hit families. Italians, Russians, Blacks take their beefs to the individuals, Colombians hit you're family first. Let Runner up keep fucking up in Colombia, and when he is going to a different family members funeral every week, then he will understand.

Actually went there with MDE Bob while visiting the then Mansion when AG was out of the country. Had a blast. There was about 25 or more of us and some of the chicas with us knew others there and some of the dancers knew Bob. In the end there were a lot of people hanging with us.

We drank gallons. Bottles and bottles of the local rum with beers and every other kind of drink. When the bill came was just over a million pesos. About $500 US. Was sure it was going to be 3 or 4 thousand. Would have been 10 or 15 grand in any similar club in NY.

Hello, Ezyngo. How you doing, hope all good.

From Medellin to Monteria, is about 9 hours, $80, 000. 00 cop.

You need to take the colectivo (Van) in terminal del norte, in the second floor to your right, you will find "TRANSPORTES LUZ" I think the last van will left Medellin at 2. 00 PM, but you can take the van at 5. 00 Am. TRANSPORTES LUZ S. C. A. Phone # (57-4) 2394553.

Other choice will be taking "EXPRESO BRASILIA" And ride all nite long.

Nice PUSIE but to f hot, river cross the city, Rio Sinu it is.

Any other question, please PM me.

My TWO Cents.

Hola fellow mongers. This is my first post, but I am a long time reader who has decided to give back a little of what I have learned from this site. I have been to Peru, Sosua, Boca Chica, CTG, Cali, MDE, BAQ, Santa Marta, Nicaragua, Germany, and Las Vegas (before it became Disney Land.)

My Spanish is not good, but I get by quite well even in a new location. In my travels I have met good guys like Lucky Eddie, Collage Pusher, You Can, and the infamous Urban, and Vics Picks. All great guys, and I learned a lot from them.

Ok enough boring stuff. Now for a trip report as this is what should be the main focus on this board. I arrived in MDE, and took the bus to El Centro. Cost was 7K. I went to New Life, and was surprised at the nice selection of about 25 Chicas. I had read before that New Life was loaded with Gorditas, but this was not ther case for me. I took a Morena who had a great attitude. The first thing she did was to ask me if I like to go dancing. Of course I said yes, and got her phone number. For a BBBJ I had to give her 10K. It was good, but when it came time for sex I found to my dismay that her pussy was loose. I am average size so this was a turn off for me so after about 15 minutes of pounding the beaver I gave up with no milk given.

The next day I went to Andrea which in the front is a icecream store, but has a door to the Casa. 30K for 30 minutes. A small selection, but I took Jenny who was quite beautiful. I offered 10K for the BBBJ, but she wanted 20. Her face was so pretty that I had to go that extra mile, and pay the frieght. The next day or so I went to Lindas Chicas. It was in the daytime, and only two girls were on the job. Both very beautiful, but the guys I was with did not want to wait for the hyper madam to call more girls so we left, and went to two other Casas, but did not stay as they wanted a payment if we did not partake of any girls. I refuse to pay to view girls, and I hope other members will follow my lead on this matter. I went a few nights to Mayorista, and found many Gorditas there. It is hard to believe that some of these girls ever get any business. I did find a few decent looking girls, and I paid the 30K for decent service. It was 10K for the BBBJ.

What was of interest to me was the sales girls in the nice mall in Poblado. Two different hot women flirted with me, but true to my code I try to avoid Non Pros as in my experence it has cost me far more than a working girl ever would.

I heard a rumor that a Gringo was drugged, and robbed in a hotel in MDE. That would never happen to me as I don't drink with these girls. I have heard that they will put the drug on their nipples so I guess I'm not totaly safe in that regard.

The Metro price was 1800, and every thing else seemed more expensive than my last trip there. Add the under 1800 pesos per dollar, and that makes Colombia a place I will not visit again till I see 2000 pesos per dollar again

I found this online so I am going to paste a piece here:

"when I returned to the U S I was the only one on the plane they took aside and did a special customs search.

They went through every pocket my camera and looked at every photo. Which had a few of older ladies that I hooked up with. When they did not find anything after searching for over an hour they let me go.

Two weeks later two Homeland security agents showed up at my front door and said they wanted to check out my computer because when I went through customs they said it was reported that I had photos of ladies of questionable age on my camera. I told them no, The main reason I did not want them to look in my pc was I have a lot of business information on it which I felt was none of the governments business. They said if they had to come back with a warrant they would not be so nice.

I called a friend of mine while they were here for advice he told me to tell them no and go get a warrant and ask them if they had any more questions to go through him. They left and I have never heard from them again."

Any of this happened to any of you guys? How strong is the built in windows disk encryption program? Please provide any of your experiences. The last time I got off a plane the immigration official let on to the fact that I was on some kind of list. But he did not provide anymore details. As he was talking I took a quick glance down on his desk and sure enough there was some list and my name was on it. Fortunately I did not have a laptop on me at the time, but I usually always travel with one.

any of this happened to any of you guys? how strong is the built in windows disk encryption program? please provide any of your experiences. the last time i got off a plane the immigration official let on to the fact that i was on some kind of list. but he did not provide anymore details. as he was talking i took a quick glance down on his desk and sure enough there was some list and my name was on it. fortunately i did not have a laptop on me at the time, but i usually always travel with one.there are ways to get your name purged from the list. try to contact them directy and enquire how you can go about it or use a lawyer.

even if they remove your name from the list, they will still put a red flag and your baggage is likely to be searched. to be safe do not take any pictures of sex or naked. it is ok to have pictures of ladies you met.

travelling for sexual purposes is illegal according to usa laws.

never ever admit you paid for sex. just mention saying you met ladies and were friends with them during your travel. i doubt just by looking at the pictures they can prove girls are ****. it will be next to impossible.

for them to contact the girl and i do not think they will waste manpowers to trace.

problem with immigration is they not only blacklist you here, they also send your info to all countries friendly to us.

i was stopped one time at osaka airport. they did not tell me why. later the immigration guy told me i can go. when asked he was nice enough to tell me that one of the threads on the photo page was sticking out.

he called the us embassy and confirmed my identity. many a time if they stop you they never tell why.

I've recently been checking out alot of webcam websites and I've noticed that if you go to the "latina" category almost all of them are Colombian. I found that to be peculiar. Why Colombia as compared to the rest of latin america? Almost none from Mexico, Argentina, Central America, Chile, Peru, etc. Are Colombianas just that much hotter than other latinas? Are they sluttier? Does Colombia have faster internet connections than the other latin countries?

Some of these webcam models are super hot. I often wonder if any of them would be willing to hook up in person, but I haven't tried to ask because I know the websites have rules against that type of thing. Have any of you guys been able to contact any of these girls directly and meet up in person? If so how did you go about it?

Thanks.

Two of my best friends here and my ex wife all worked webcams at one time or another. Colombia is popular for that I think mainly because the girls are good looking. Peru or Mexico isn't going to have much export value :P

I've never heard of US Customs going to someone's house. The will send a letter about something but won't show up in person. If they did show up in person you would think they would have sense enough to bring a warrant! I'm going to put all this nonsense to rest one way or the other. I'm in the Dominican Republic today, but tomorrow I will return to the USA. And I will make it a priority to ask a Customs agent about all this picture and going through computers business.

They put a red x with a circle around it on my Customs declaration card at Immagration. Made it to the customs counter they pulled me aside same shit but they ran into the wrong mother fucker I went Jerry Springer on their ass. I finally quit answering their questions and told them go fuck theirselves and their boss had to come out, I filed a complaint after getting home and I think I got them all fired, haven't seen them since.

A friend of mine in Bogota works cam as well while she is in school (don't know why she told me about it in the first place). She has voluntarily invited me to see her cam at the beginning of her sessions sometimes when she has on the lingerie and the dildo in her hand but when it is time for her to take her clothes off she always cancels it. I have tried everything in the book to hook up with this girl but she "doesn't believe in men." She always says that I/men just want to fuck her, so she won't let me anywhere near it. She did hook me up with one of her good friends in Barranquilla. She wouldn't fuck me either but let me jack off on her stomach. Then she went back and told her friend everything about how I was trying hard to fuck her on the first day, etc. My luck with Colombianas hit a brick wall with those two.

thanks for keeping your promise. anyone can do a google search and learn that customs can search your laptops and digital cameras for no reason at all. you don't have top be a perv or bbe ratted on. maybe they just do random checks. anyways, just to be on the safe side keep your private stuff private. encrypt and have a hidden partition if necessary.

Greetings,

I fell in love a few months back. I have no idea if it's real or I'm setting myself up to get hurt big time. For those of you who have been in this game a long time have you ever made this mistake?

Once one of these girls starts working is it even possible for her to go back to a "normal" relationship? What signs would you look for to help validate that the relationship is real? What would you look for to know it's a hose job? If it turns out to be real any advice on how to get her to the United States on k1 visa?

About her.

She is Colombian. She has been in this game a long time. She has been married before. She has children. She took English classes. (Is that a good thing or bad thing?)

We met 1st time on a Island. I've been to Bogota to see her once.

About me.

I'm American. I'm single. This isn't my 1st trip to courtesan.

My heart tells me it's real but from reading everything on this website over and over. My mind is telling me it was a scam from early on. The truth is it's killing me not knowing if it's real or not.

Just relax. If you like her, help her out if you wish.

Enjoy her company, and her "love" in the cama (bed).

See other girls too.

Take your time, no rush for anything.

Helping a girl out because you want to is one thing, but if she's asking you for money, well that's another.

She may like you, but be careful taking a girl to the US, may just turn into a nightmare for you.

You that unsure where you at with this girl that you have to ask us? That tells you everything you need to know IMO.

Let me guess.

HER: 5"5', tan skin. 20-28, tight body, round butt, nice boobs, young wet pussy, sexy accent when she speaks English.

YOU: 40-65 (older?) , American, some what well off money wise or VERY well off by American Standards, kind of lonely, Never NEVER EVER hooked up with a girl of any Ethnic flavor like this little Colombian Dream. Am I close? How Close?

Bro. You're in lust, not love.

HOW GOOD IS YOUR SPANISH? HOW GOOD IS HER ENGLISH?

How well do you guys communicate? How much time have you spent together in total? I mean face to face hanging out. Fucking does not count. Add up the total time. Are you over 40 hours yet? Have you spent a night in with her? I don't mean a night in of Hot Hot Sex but a normal boring nigh, diner, TV, chat, bed.

Food shopping? Family party? Pizza and a movie?

You know what I mean? How well do you know this girl?

Normal Girlfriend stuff = Good Signs!

Stupid working girl behavior= Bad Signs!

Is she a working girl? Does she want to get out? Does she want to get saved? Does she want to get saved by you?

The Game is the same with a bit difference because of the culture thing and the Working girl thing. Not all working girls are bitches just because they're working girls; they're just put into a hard spot due to lack of opportunity, family, life happens. I have friends who have saved a Ho. Mostly in Asia. It can happen but be mindful of what is going on around you.

Good Luck

First of all, just seeing your handle I have to ask: did you meet the girl in SXM or in Colombia? If it was only in SXM, have you visited her in Colombia? Unless and until you do, IMHO, you know nothing about her.

In general, I've seen anything short of outright fairy-tale in the gringo / foreign bride combinations. If the "relationship" doesn't cost you a lot of western union $$$, why not take things slow? ($$ in exchange for sex doesn't count, birthday and "dia de amor & amistad" gifts don't count either.) If she does ask for $$$, especially if she asks repeatedly. Remember that you're not her fiance and not even her novio. My advice: do not pay unless you can be there, you can see how money is actually spent, and you get total "satisfaction" every day and night you're there.

Preach on brothers. The guy has seen the girl twice and he is already asking how to bring her on his home turf. I'm going to dissent on this one though. You have seen the rules as MHL has laid out. But I am going to say that if this girl has never asked you for anything AND you have been to where she lives then you are in safe water as far as a relationship. I have been acquainted with many Colombianas. I can count the ones who have asked me for something on one hand and they were out the door from that point. Now if you have been knowing her a long time and she loses a job or something like that. Well that has happened to several of my chicas and they still didn't ask for anything.

And the rule should be quid pro quo. If you give money you should be getting something back besides a little stroke of your ego!

Well that has happened to several of my chicas and they still didn't ask for anything.I agree, and follow a similar guideline.

And the rule should be quid pro quo. If you give money you should be getting something back besides a little stroke of your ego!I hate to sound so cynical but I agree for the most part. ESPECIALLY if you don't live there and are having a long distance relationship. Some of these Colombianas are so deviant that they can get their mothers, brothers, sisters to lie for them quite easily to corroborate their outlandish stories. Mom speaking: "no she's sleeping and I can't wake her up" "She went to visit her grandma in a town with very little cell service" ha haaaaa lol

ALSO cheating can be defined in many ways where it becomes semantics.

There is the cyber cheater, the one who calls all of her facebook novios "amor" p. S. The guy who your girl is usually having the most correspondence on her wall is probably the guy she's fucking when you're not around."Oh he's just my amigo from the U" Then there are just the straight up PERRAS who do it behind your back period.

A Colombiana is a very SEE and WANT creature. She she's what she wants and will do anything she has to get it. If you can't get her the latest blackberry she will find someone who will. ALSO they are very party "Rumba" oriented and will do whatever they need to to go out and party and rub on some dick dancing while singing to the latest reggaeton. NOTHING stands between a Colombiana the weekends and when its time to rumba, don't kid yourself.

As usual (Your Mileage May Vary)

We met 1st time on a Island. I've been to Bogota to see her once.Lots of guys who meet working girls in St Maarten, Curacao and Aruba have fantasies about them. But the girls have fantasies too. The idea of a nice gringo boyfriend is very attractive to them. Having spent LOTS of time with the girls in the islands and later in Colombia as well, including 5 months with one girl, I can tell you that the islands are a vacation fantasy environment. You don't learn much about her and she doesn't learn much about you either. Everything is too easy and exciting. Reality is living together in Colombia with all her problems right next door or on the the cellphone constantly. I would like to have a girlfriend in Colombia for personal reasons, but I am spending more than a year getting to know one before making a commitment; and I picked one who never asked me for anything and actually gave me things in return for the gifts that I gave her.

The first few years that I played with working girls, I thought the sex would be better if I focused on one girl and had a "relationship". But when I followed one home to Colombia (she wasn't the first, more like the 8th) I discovered that I didn't really know her at all. Why? Because the islands are vacation fantasies. When I went back to the islands, I stopped having fake girlfriends there. I treated all the girls like amigas but not novias. And guess what? The sex was just as good with 5 or 10 regulars as it was with 1 regular girl.

-zing

p.s. of the many girls that I have been involved with in Colombia, only one actually scammed me. most of the others eventually asked me for help with various items, but they weren't tricking me. I don't pay any attention to what they say, only what they DO.

A buddy of mine who lives in DR was telling me that the chicas are always asking for money. I said that is funny because I have never been hit up for money. Now all of a sudden during and after my trip 2 weeks ago chicas ARE asking for money and gifts. I just received this message from one 20 minutes ago.

S says: mandame 50 dolares tengo una sola hoya.

And I just replied with:

mrenternational x_x_x says: parece que solo quieres dinero y regalos
S says: si te lo pedi, es porque no tengo ni un peso para el pasaje de irme a mi casa. pero gracias que te aproveche tu dinero

I haven't been to Colombia since October so maybe when I get back there my streak will be ended as well.

Hi guys,

I have a rather basic question here. When I take a DOMESTIC flight at JMC airport, usually I try to arrive at the airport 1-1:30 hr before the departure time (for an INTERNATIONAL flight. 2hr before the flight). So usually I leave a hotel in Medellin 2hrs before the departure time for a domestic flight. Am I doing right? Should I leave earlier? Thanks.

Leaving the city 2hrs before by taxi should be enough, but if you take MDE-BOG as first leg of a longer trip, you might check on avianca. Com since the early morning the situation of flight delays (real time departure times) and the decide, if it's a day affected by high delays, to anticipate your arrival to the airport to ask at the checkin desk to be put on a flight scheduled earlier.

Haven't run into any heavy traffic and If I do most taxi's will communicate with each other and go one of the 3 ways to the airport, yes there are "3" ways to the airport. I get there check in, check bags, NO PASSPORT STAMPS, go through screening, and then while in the lounge area? I usually am just waiting 10-15 minutes before boarding.

In May Spirit is adding Denver, and Minneapolis to it's destinations. As it stands now every flight I have taken to Latin America in the last year or so was full. So unless they add more daily flights to places like Colombia then all Spirit customers who fly out of FLL are going to be looking at higher prices, and less availabe seats. Now if I lived in one of the new citys then it would be good news, but when they start charging more for the flights, and even think up new ways to add to the price of travel then even those people will not be that happy.

As it is now Spirit is doing the best they can to rip you off.

I just tried to use my miles, and instead of the 7, 500 miles for the date I wanted to travel one way they wanted 37, 500 miles. This was on a off peak period. At first I thought it was a good deal to get 2 miles for every dollar I spent on my Spirit credit card, but now I think it is time to use other cards for their bonus programs. The Spirit card has a annual fee, and you also need to pay a fee for their (so called) $ 9 fare club.

In the past I have made at least one trip to Latin America in the summer, but this year after looking ahead at the prices till after Labor day it looks like I will suffer with no pussy this year at those peak travel times. Maybe I could get with Jon Gault and eat watermelon this summer instead.

My brother in law is a pilot for Spririt And they are NOT happy with things. So passenegers are not the only ones complaining. Having worked in the industry I can say that Spirit would need indications of interest that would cause it to add more flights to Colombia from FLL. So if the plane to MDE is always full and with their current schedule they are getting interest at approx 120% they up thier prices instead of adding another plane for only 20% on the overflow. Makes sense? They just don't have the volume to warrant upping thier number of flights per week. Better to have 100% occupancy on every flight.

Did John Gault get deleted? You have been complaining about Spirit (as John Gault) for over a year.

I went to 3 counters talked to the 800 number 4 times this all with my paid receipt for my seats in my hand, wasn't a happy camper. It was entertaining to the other passengers watching me swear at the Spirit reps on the phone desks at the desks. Late (really late) report disclaimer: A busy 2011 caused my Colombia trip reports to languish in production. But I still wanted to get them onto the forum anyway, to give my version of a multi-city trip and some of the options. And to give me something to look back on while sitting in my rocking chair in my golden years.

In 2010 I resolved to finally break my Latin American cherry. Asian, African, and European adventures had been great, but there was a huge hole in my mongering resume. And the Latinas I'the sessioned with in London and at German FKKs gave me an idea of what I was missing. So the question was just which country. Ultimately I decided to make this a combined tourist and mongering trip, and since I had already to several countries in South America, plus Mexico, in my pre-mongering days, I decided that Colombia offered the best mix of things to do – and giving me the chance to show plenty of travel photos when friends and family asked about my trip. That's a real consideration: I've had a few trips in Asia and the Caribbean where I had to take quickly snap some shots of a beach or a food stall on the street to give a visual accounting of where I had gone for my holiday!

Well, Colombia was perfect for that, so I headed there for about two weeks in late November 2010. My posts on the various area branches. My basic itinerary was 1 full day in Bogota and then a flight to the Amazon for 3 days; back to Bogota and a trip south to small towns San Augustin and Tierradento plus Popoyan (3 mongering-free days) ; then a day in Cali; north to for some celibate time in the mountains around the town of Salento; then to Medellin for 3 pussy-filled days, and a final night and day in Bogota.

Here I'll leave it at this, my assessment of my trip and of Colombian women. Did I have fun on this trip? Absolutely! I loved the diversity of the girls, from ultra-light skinned blondes to tanned brunettes to African hotties, though I generally didn't see many of model caliber, many more in the cute range. As far as looks I was pleased but not overwhelmed. A bigger issue was that on the visits to the casas and clubs few of my sessions (about 15 girls altogether) would rank among my more enjoyable ones. The ones that are most memorable from the trip were due to the girl's personality, and not due to the passion of the action, which was almost always kissing-free, and infrequently featuring uncovered blow jobs (though pussy licking, a real favorite of mine, was usually on the menu). The most intense experience was probably with an experience in Bogota with a girl from now-defunct Girlfriend 4 a Week.

The GFE was an elusive beast on that trip. Was it my choice of venue? I tried a range of places, but did miss out on Casa Blanca in Medellin, where from what I read the experiences, though often pricier than say casas, seem to be more intense. Were the places I visited too 'commercial, ' as one fellow mongerer suggested? Maybe, but in many visits to German FKK's the supermarket of play for pay, I've regularly had GFE experiences. Was it my limited Spanish? Maybe, but on trips since to Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, that didn't get in the way. With the Dominican girls and El Salvador girls especially the sessions were very passionate, which leads me to believe that there's something cultural here that I was missing – how do you crack the Colombiana GFE code?

RgdsI would think not. The PSP should work down there as all you need is the system, internet connection, and a TV. The NTSC that is the World Coding PSP uses so we can't play import games correct? If NTSC is what I think it is it would only effect you if you tried to play a game with a different World Coding. Correct? I got my buddy's kid a Wii and it worked fine down in Col.

Question to Colombia aficionados,

What is the best / safest way to travel inside Colombia? I am planning a 2-3 week trip to Colombia in Sept this year. I want to hit Cali, Barranquilla, and maybe Bogota, spending 5-6 days in each city (I've only been to CTG). I searched the forum but didn't find anything related to this. Any advice appreciated.

Unfortunately I had to create a new handle here as my handle from AP (SunSeeker) is apparently already in use.

Both have pros and cons. Flights: faster, SAFE. Bus: 10x Longer than flighte. 10x Cheaper, Safe but clearly there is more risk on a road with land slides and stuff like that.

Second would be hired car, possibly cheaper than flying but again it would depend on where you are coming from, some domestic flights can be quite inexpensive if purchased during promotions that the domestic airlines have. Bus travel is generally safe but once again depends on what route you are taking. I have traveled quite extensively by bus in Colombia and haven't had a single problem but I don't travel known problem areas. When traveling by bus or car there are two safety issues, accidents which are frequent on some roads and roadblocks by thieves which are less common these days but are of particular concern on a handful of roads even today.

After taking AA to Colombia for the last 7 years, I will not take them anymore!

Searching for the best rate (have been taking avianca lately for the last 3 trips) This time I found AA to MDE came in about $40 cheaper and I was like "wow" couldn't believe it. So I jumped on it, but guess what.

NOW they only allow 1 piece of checked luggage (which NO WHERE did I see that posted clearly on their site upon check out) so they charge $70 each piece each way. So what am I going to do with my extra piece of luggage? You are forced to eat it BOTH ways. So thats an additional $140.

BEFORE you could choose your seat, so NOW if you want to choose your seat towards the front, even if they are empty, they call those seats "preferred" and they charge you an additional $35 GTFO.

The flight get you there LATER than the AVIANCA and leaves at a ridiculous hour when you leave, forcing you to leave MDE at 4am!

FOOD: This is what really pissed me off, BEFORE you would get pasta or chicken, NOW they gave me a cold shitty HAM and CHEESE sandwich, NO CHOICE And for the return for breakfast you used to get Eggs and sausage or pancakes NOW they give you a SHITTY COLD Colombian Turkey and Cheese.

NO Hot towel on AA.

NO FREE BEER, WINE or MIXED COCKTAIL on AA. ALL FREE on AVIANCA.

SORRY AA. You have lost a good customer and I will tell everybody I know not to fly you!

Just had to let it out! Ahhh I feel better! LOL

Sorry to hear that. I'm stuck with AA cause it's most convenient airlines that fly out of Houston. That extra $140 could of gone to something more important. LOL. I have to try to squeeze everything in one bag cause I'm staying in Miami the week after the Medellin trip. Just wish United that had flights that made sense for its supposedly largest hub.Did you try Copa airlines?

My two colombian pesos.

I was more happy before the Continental / United merge, but the "new United" is pretty damn good, and the prices are only slightly more than AA. But to me it is worth it.

I should say I am "Elite" status now, so I don't usually get the petty extra charges anymore. But this also says that I'm willing to rack up alot of miles with them.

Hope this helps.

You meant 'intra'.

I find Colombia quite expensive to fly in. However, the buses takes forever due to the distances and the quality of the roads. Therefore, although it's a lot more expensive by air, for the average traveller who might only be here for 1, 2 or 3 weeks you really should fly and avoid wasting time on a long bus journey.

I find that with some planning and luck you can find inter-country flights for less than $100 a pop. Both have pros and cons. Flights: faster, SAFE. Bus: 10x Longer than flighte. 10x Cheaper, Safe but clearly there is more risk on a road with land slides and stuff like that.

ODI flew only one time after the continental / united merger and to was to Rio. Service was ok, but bad luck was the flight got delayed because of mechanical issues. Haven't flown united much be because their prices for international trips are expensive now.

Houston to Rio on continental in 2010 $930.

Houston to Rio on continental / united in 2011 $1450.

Houston to Rio on united in 2012 $1975

There a couple of websites (I don't know if I'm allowed to post their website on here) that have a good number of Colombian chicas doing their shows there. What's the odds of a guy actually dating and banging a webcam chica? Has anyone done it before?I actually wound up marrying one. Long story. But truth be told, I'd advise against it. Most of them are fodder for us local musicians here.

If you do decide to proceed keep things cut and dried and very casual. If you see obvious chemistry on HER PART (your part does NOT count) you can take things further. Most girls honestly do not bang their clients. In general they are doing the webcam so they don't have to touch anybody.

Whats the difference from staying in Boca Grande or El Laquito?

This will be my first trip. There isn't much a difference between Boca Grande and El Laquito. They are within easy walking distance of each other. The beaches in Boca Grande are nicer, but more crowded (I. E, more touts and beach peddlers). If you're in Boca Grande & staying in an apartment, there are two supermarkets where you can buy grocery. El Laquito is slightly further away from the centro area so the taxi cost might be more expensive, but it shouldn't be much.

Com and after awhile she gave me her MSN. One day we was chatting on MSN and she turned on her cam. She wasn't doing anything just chatting and she was fully clothed. Probably a few months later I stumble on a webcam website where a bunch of girls were performing and during that day she was on there. This time she was in a thong and topless. Nice body but fake boobs.

I was surprised how much money guys were giving her just to suck on a dildo and stick it in her ass. Well atleast I got a free show and see what her body look like. LOL. I probably wouldn't date her not cause she a webcam model, it was the fact some doctor did a horrible job on her boobs.

Many members have alluded to the jump in the prices of p4p services in Medellin, (especially) Cartagena and other cities. I just found the inflation rates in Colombia: 5. 5/2007, 7/2008, 4.2/2009, 3.1/2010, 3.8/2011. The accumulative (compounded) inflation rate for the past five years is about 26 percent. Major cities should have higher inflation rates. To me, the increases in the prices of SWs and of Centro casas in the last five years are not out of line with the CPI increase. But the chica prices in both low and high end strip clubs and high end casas increased a lot more than general prices. It seems to me, they are increasing the price by 10-20 percent every year. Probably this is not because of the gringo influx, but because of the expansion of Colombian middle class.

ThanksIf you could give us a little more info on your two options, like which buildings and / or rental manager / owner are you considering, I bet one or more here could provide more specific feedback / insight. With what you've provided, all I can offer is: you can be "on" the beach or not on (but damn close) in both. The biggest deciding factor should be the people factor, such as who will you be dealing with and trusting, along with the management, stability, security, policies, etc, of the building.

Any feed back about the place would be great!I do not have personal first hand knowledge of Martin's apartment, but based on what I've heard from others you should be just fine. I have met Martin once, merely just introduced by a mutual acquaintance, and in the 5-10 minutes of being around him he came across as a decent guy. I have not heard any negatives about him, nor has anyone shared any negative rental experiences from renting his place in Laguito. From what little specifics I know, great location on the beach and ample spaciousness. Maybe a little extra street noise on occasion (for ex. Chiva bus waiting while gathering crowd, etc.) , but that doesn't go on forever and the sound of splashing waves should provide for an otherwise tranquil state of mind.

There should be some people here on ISG that can provide first hand accounts of renting Martin's apartment. From what I know, he has a solid reputation in Laguito and I know of no reason to advise otherwise. Enjoy your trip!

Houston to Rio on united in 2012 $1975Surprising as it may seem, Brasil is VERY seasonal with airline fares. I have seen fares in this range within the span of a year.

By my observation, I would not contribute it to the airline merger, strengthening Brazilian dollar, expanding Colombian middle class, inflation or fuel prices.

IMHO it all depends how far in advance you book, day of the week you fly, and what season. Brasil in particular, rates jump up mid-November until Carnival, then it drops again. But with Olympics and World Cup in the near future, I think Brasil will be feeling bold and exclusive, and they will be looking to cash in.

I hope this isn't too far off-topic. I have a novia in-training. She's 26, a lawyer, and has a career in government. She doesn't make much money, no children, or has many assets (besides her lovely rear end). I invited her for a visit and with her credentials I thought she might have a decent chance to get a tourist visa but she was denied (they weren't very nice about it either). I contacted one of my Senators office and they offered to send a letter which they said might help with another attempt.

I'm curious has anyone tried importing a girl on a tourist visa and had success? Or is another attempt more money down a rat hole?

Once a Colombiana has had a taste of the good life, there's no going back, only up. If you can't get her what she wants or to the USA she will find someone and another way to get there.

The disparity is enormous between a Colombiana born in Colombia and living in the states and one that you find on the streets in Colombia. The ones in the states, their humbleness is quickly tossed out the window and become indoctrinated with "choca de oro" syndrome like their gringa sisters.

Each was different type of Visas, a couple tourist Visas, University Visas, I got tired of it, I relized I don't like anyone invading my man cave. I live in a rural area so they arrive with no drivers license even though I could give them a vehicle. I am never happier than I am to drop them off at the airport and send them home. I have a few I could fly in now but don't, easier to go and see them. Every single time they were different in Colombia than here, like Jekyle and Hyde syndrome. I would fly one in for a week if I took the week off but no more than that. Pics of a couple of diff ones I flew in.

I won't go as far to say that every woman is like that but it is a pretty noticeable margin. Just try talking to any woman who is in the USA from a foreign country. Most won't even let you get within 10 feet of them, don't even think of asking them out. This goes double for Colombianas, Brasileiras, and Dominicanas.

And as the guys said, if she is a lawyer then she should have some assets and you shouldn't be the one expected to finance her attempt to go to the USA. Red flag just as BC said.

Anybody know where to purchase an affordable copy of Photoshop in Medellin? I'm going to C. C. Monterrey today to have a look and see if they have it, at a reasonable price. Any other ideas? Someplace in El Centro maybe? Surely there are Colombians using this program and I doubt they are paying $670 for it, or whatever ridiculous amount Adobe is asking nowadays.

Your better bet is to find a student and have them buy a student version at their college bookstore for a lot less money. That is what I did. Or you could pirate it if you really want to save money and don't have an ethical issue with doing so.

Well well well, where to start. My second trip to Medellin was a good one. Stayed at Casa Blanca 2 and cannot give them enough kudos for their service in every respect. When I first got there Wed. Night at 10pm could not wait to get going so I went to the strip club, San Diego. This club was so so (or a no go) w / a 5 beer minimum to sit down. I paid for 3 and allowed a big sweaty blonde to fuck me for 200, 000 pesos. She made an effort to please but she was sticky and the place was uninspiring. I popped and got out of there. I am never patient when my wheels hit the ground and I always regret my hasty decisions. Not a huge loss but another lesson learned. When you have a good wingman this shit doesn't happen. No Prob, time for some sleep.

For the next few days I enjoyed the low hanging fruit at CB 1 and there were a few nights w / lots of partying and serious drinking by all. These ladies always amaze me w / their ability to put away the booze. Shot after shot they just keep on going all night long, very impressive.

The other guest were for the most part engagable and friendly. Some cool guys and some geeks, the ladies treat everyone the same from what I saw.

Boyd took some guys on a good casa tour and the lineup at New Life was impressive (that day). The other casas were hit and miss but the casas are a great value and if you find something you like you can make arrangements for more at the CB. The casas close at 6 or 7pm so the ladies will work later I'm sure. One of my fellow guest enjoyed an extremely hot negra (real black) for a few nights in a row. Man she was freaking sexy and real black!

On Friday I think I did my first latina 3some and these two ladies were very sexy. I could say to either one, stand in the corner and fuck yourself and the show was ON! I never understood PSE but watching these sexy ladies squeezing their ample young tits and fingering their pussies was a good thing. They were an excellent pair, which I repeated w / a few days later. I did venture on the dark side w / them and paid a serious price in mental anguish torture for a few LONG hours after the fun. Will not return to the dark side next trip.

I always take fotos wherever I go so and (during the last year) I enjoyed looking at these beautiful ladies I had in 2011. All the ladies (I enjoyed) from last year were from the Casa Blanca afternoon festivities. One in particular was so beautiful I wanted to see her again. She wasn't at the CB 1 so I asked Boyd about her and he gave me her number. When I met her again this trip she was surprised and happy to see me again. We communicated alright and drank a few beers. We fucked and she was on her way. One of my fellow guest mentioned afterward that she worked at New Life and I freaking couldn't believe it. I asked Boyd about this and he said she did. This lady is exceptionally pretty and she has to work at NL to keep busy.

This news really shook my Medellin world. A couple days later I saw her again this time in the afternoon. In the daylight I saw her in a different way, I saw some flaws and wear and tear. Wow, she works at the sex assembly line pumping out spent male customers. After we did our thing that afternoon she told me. Sometimes I work at a store and sometimes I have sex w / Colombian men for money. It was surprising to me that she would admit that but she did w / out any prodding from me. She has such a happy spirit around me, always laughing and smiling. She also loves the camera and I took some good shots of her. Next time tho I will not pay the CB rate w / her.

I will say that I did not get assembly line sex w / her. She spent 2 + hours w / me each time I saw her. So I can have her for 32, 000 at NL for 30 minutes or 150, 000 for 2 +hours at the CB. I did not feel I paid too much, but it was shocking for me to imagine her at NL. Later, when I started thinking about the caliber of ladies (I saw) at the casas I realized there are some ddg babes fucking and sucking in these quickie factories. What a city Medellin is for the MAN, what a city. Unfuckingbelievable.

The best part of my trip tho was about to take place. I met another guest a few days before I left and he showed me the ropes about the sketchy places in Medellin. The wild frontier (in my eyes) and it was also a challenging test for me because this was certainly the underbelly of the beast. First we went to the strip clubs in EC and wandered around those streets in the afternoon. Some streets real young ones were soliciting us and you could smell the glue or paint spray that was being smoked by guys laying on the pavement. I could see why you would not want to be here at night. It was 4pm on a Wed and it was a bit much for me. I would not want to be one of the CB geek guest touring around this area, haha, they would really stick out. Hear that geeks? You know who you are. Stick w / the low hanging fruit at CB 1.

Later that night my new good buddy shows me La Mayorista (not for geeks either). It was my first taste of La Mayorista and man what an eye opener. I have been reading about this area for a couple of years now and finally I am there. It is a really small strip of bars and short time hotels. This particular Wednesday night it was jumping. The bars extend onto the sidewalk w / tables inside and out and most of the people were on the sidewalk. The music was blaring and the sidewalks were covered by the roof extended out from the bars. It was very dark w / only Colombian guys and 3 times as many hookers, for the whole block say 50 to 70 players. These ladies were all ages and some real lookers were in the mix. My bud leans up against the wall w / his beer and motions me to do the same. So here we are surrounded by locals, leaning on the outer wall of the bars in a line w / the ladies of the night. He was always funneling pussy in my face haha and finally I had to pull the trigger. I mentioned that I liked (the look) of a black girl and the next thing I know he is telling her I want to fuck her, haha. He was always doing that all day long at the strip clubs and on the street. This lady is really fine, a very skinny big breasted light skinned black lady. Saying she was a lady is a bit of a stretch. She was brand new lets say w / an extremely perfect set of C cups, (more than a handful) and a killer hardbody I will not soon forget. The cost was 35 for her and 12 for the shitty rm.

In the room she was sexy but unskilled in some areas. She gave me a nice BBBJ and did a few nice tongue tricks. A lot of slobbering (as well) which can be very sexy but when I was about to bust she inexplicably just stopped, haha, WTF are you doing you twit?

It was still worth the experience but the hotel was terrible and had a negative affect on my session w / this sweet little creature. Lots of loud talking and bumping around, very close to my door, so next trip no sleaze hotels.

But the Mayorista was a big hit for me. After my encounter w / the little black one I saw babe after babe (that I wanted) and these were really good looking young ladies too. I was almost disappointed about my choice because the ladies I saw afterward I really wanted. So now back in sex prison I am thinking about, La Mayorista. What a (one of a kind) place it is. Medellin is now a totally different place w / my new experience. This is where the fruit is up high and even more tasty at times. The ladies I saw there were really spectacular.

Usually after a trip like this (8 days) I am content for a couple of months but being that I encountered La Mayorista late in my stay I am now hungering for more and I just got back home. Not good haha. Wow. It wasn't the edge of civilization but it was close, and I like being on the edge. It was a real eye opener. Thanks buddy.

So now I am looking out my window at the GGB in my squeamish sterile city thinking about the Mayorista. I can't get the chicas I saw there out of my mind. I want to go back now, not in a month, now, haha. Not good, haha

Nice report. IMO, Mayorista and El Centro are much more fun than San Diego or Fase II. I like Luna Lunera sometimes though too. It can get going pretty good even on Mon, Tues or Wed.

Good photos. Was the redhead Leydy?

Hello Gents,

I haven't posted anything in awhile because I was bit by the love bug over a year ago and I've been traveling back and forth to Barranquilla to visit my novia and her family. I have mongered in Cartagena and Medellin previously and I pay my $20 a year to ISG because I like to keep informed of the latest news and I enjoy the forum. I recently read an article on a new domestic airline in Colombia,

http://www.vivacolombia.co

That I thought you should know about. They have low introductory prices so this is great for those that want to monger across Colombia or fly chicas to meet you in your city. Take care.

Well well well, where to start. My second trip to Medellin was a good one. Stayed at Casa Blanca 2 and cannot give them enough kudos for their service in every respect. When I first got there Wed. Night at 10pm could not wait to get going so I went to the strip club, San Diego. This club was...What is this dark side you won't return to?

What is this dark side you won't return to?I probably should have left that part out of my tr but I thought it might interest some. Lets face it, people and their demons have interesting tales to tell. In the 80's I went thru a dark period in my life, and like many others I came out of it in one piece. There is more than one temptation in Colombia. Life is more fun w / out the yea, enough said.

What dark side did you go to with mental anguish torture?

Were you guys practicing voodoo or satinic rituals?

Good report though.

Good report though.Ha Ha no voodoo, no HeShes Ha Ha. Lots of people have a darkside and it could involve any extreme obsession I / e, gambling, eating, sex, canoeing, haha. It seems all the inhabitants here on ISG have lived a charmed life to date, haha, not me. I can easily visit my past demons in Col. And have done so w / much self control but every now and then the demon will put a hurt on you in the form of a hangover. A (severe) Pepsi hangover in the wee hours of the morning is similar to how Angel felt at the end of the Wild Bunch movie. Angel was tied to an auto and dragged around town for an hour or two. That's how I felt one particular night after my 3some. The ladies are young and can handle this stuff but I suffered like Angel for 2/3 hours haha, A Pepsi hangover is a thousand times worse than a alcohol hangover and it happens before you can sleep. Hope that clears things up a little better.

Now my problem back home is how the fuck can I get back there to La Mayorista. I made my first trip there (La Mayorista) and I liked it way too much. What are the decent hotels in LM not too far from the action. Next trip will include no gringo compound. I will leave the safety of the gringo nest and stay in La Mayorista or El Centro area. Advice appreciated.

In general just trying to have fun and share my story. Haha AND Cheers.

1) For hotels in Mayo, Central Plaza and Macedonia Plaza are decent hotels. CP is better than MP, but MP is just a half block from the chica street while CP is five blocks a way. Ladies at MP are pretty and nice.

2) As for LM vs. EC hotels, I had a similar question myself. If your actions are centered on (spend more hours) Mayo than centro, a hotel in Mayo would be better. I used to stay in Mayo for years. But I found that my actions in Mayo are only for 3 hours between 9pm-midnight while I spend more hours for casas, strip clubs and SWs in Centro. So I stay at a hotel in Centro and taxi to Mayo in the night recent years.

Now we're getting somewhere! Thanks MP for that info and advice, it is Huge. The great guy I met at CB really brought me to the next level by showing me the ropes in EC and LM. I am so jacked up about my new understanding of the layout and the possibilities in Medellin I am going nuts. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Now how do I tell the wife I'm going back in 3/4 months, Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Oh Shit!

Gentlemen,

I am about to start a business in Colombia and I'm looking for someone who can handle the whole company formation procedure.

Was wondering if any of you forum members with experience in this matter can suggest someone and / or a studio in particular.

Any help is appreciated.

Advice appreciated.I've ALWAYS met a few gringos staying in one of these hotels on every trip that I stayed in Mayo. Not sure there'll be a 'no gringo coumpound' or hotels there. And it is a good thing having these guys around to chat during 'downtime'. You might see me in Mayo on your next trip.

Cheers.

Cheers.Easy Ez, I meant the gringo compound in Poblado. My next trip to Medellin I will stay in EC and LM and maybe 1 or 2 nights in Ploblado to say hi to Boyd. I really like Boyd he makes the whole CB thing good. He's helpful, informative and generally an easy going good guy.

When I get there in Sept. (I hope) , It would be great to meet some gringos in the EC or LM. Hell yea. 1st and 2nd beers on me, haha But for now I need to "not dwell" on Medellin and continue my pursuit of speaking espanol. I started in Jan. 2011 and I am doing ok, I am confident I will have enough by September. Thanks to all for the great info and laughs.

Cheers

Hola chicos,

I'm thinking about going to Colombia for the first time around end of August. I'd like some feedback and suggestions as to which city would you Colombian experts advise for a first timer? I do speak basic Spanish and I'm in my early 30's and in decent shape. I'd like a city where I can get a good mix between non pros and prepagos. I'm all ears guys and very grateful to your guidance.

Gracias.

Gracias.Well, I'd say hit Cartagena on a Thursday night, enjoy the city for the weekend.

The beach, the casino, the old city, LDV, el central, etc.

Fly to Medellin on Monday and stay the rest of the week there. I'd recommend the Castillo for a first timer, so you're not spinning your wheels upon arrival. The staff and other guests will get ya going.

If you only want one city to visit, well then go to Medellin.

I have been going to Medellin for the last 6-7 years now and I will also be there mid to end of August. Much like you I know only basic spanish and in my early 30s. Send me a PM sometime.

Visa requirements will be eliminated for citizens of Pacific Alliance nations traveling to each other's countries, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced Wednesday.

"[We are] eliminating visas for citizens of member countries of the Pacific Alliance. That means that Colombians are not going to have to have visas to travel to Chile or Peru or Mexico. That will be done in the coming months," Santos said at the end of the Fourth Summit of the Pacific Alliance, held this week in the Chilean city of Antofagasta.

Slowly other countries will accept Colombians as they continue to combat the narcos & Bandas.
