I see there is a chica in my FB contacts who actually lives in Cartagena marking herself "safe" in the "Barranquilla Bombing"? I googled for news of a bombing in Barranquilla and found nothing recent. Anyone on the ground down there heard anything about this?I met a girl in Bogota and she went back home to Barranquilla to stay with her mom during the height of the Pandemic and border closures. She told me back in September that Barranquilla got so dangerous that she would not go outside anywhere in Barranquilla after dark. This coming from a girl who lived in the south of Bogota, so you know she's seen a lot of dangerous neighborhoods. Be careful.

SO, still working on the PCR testing site. The anitgen test seems easier in Barranquilla so far. But I need to have both set up before I book the flight.

I just spent an evening in downtown Barraquilla.

Elite Spa was open and a decent experience. Though of course they did not stick to the price claims they sent by WA. And the lady I explicitly had inquired for and made an appointment with was busy. Spent my time with a Venezuelan called "Valery" who is a very good kisser I think there was some sympathy between us.

A long further walk was pretty disappointing.

Cheaters and Siglo XXL were both closed. I hope this is temporarily. At least they still have their signs up.

Hello and what about the Zero Stress Spa? Any luck?To Barranquilla about 2-3 weeks ago. I found a flight and was ready to go--messaged around to get pcr and antigen tests in order--so I could have a plan. Next day I tried to book the flight and it went from 350 to 720--so it didn't happen.

But I did message Zero Stress as part of my prep: they responded quickly and said they are open 24/7--doesn't seem like much has changed there.

I have been a heavy poster on the USA side (under a similar username) for several years however I haven't posted there much over the past couple of years due to a heavy work load and not much action.

Anyway, I have booked a trip to Barranquilla and Cartagena starting next week and returning in mid April. A little background, I once lived in Barranquilla and Puerto Colombia for a year back in the heyday of the Narco Trafficking and murder spree in 1980. I was a kid then and in a totally different situation than today. I came to love the country, the culture, the food and especially the women. I haven't had the chance to return for many years and now it's time. I will be moving back in the future to live out the rest of my life and have some plans to build up some very lucrative business ventures there once I make the move.

This trip has a duel purpose in that I will be sussing out several of the opportunities available and tasting some of the local fair. I have made contact with several ladies and set up everything I intend to do in that arena. As has been written here many times, mongering is somewhat legal (stay in your lane and you will not have any problems) and the culture is extremely open to it. The women a smoking hot and exude sexuality. They dress and makeup to highlight their bodies, they carry themselves as objects of a highly sexual desire in all of us guys. The Pandemic hit Colombia very hard and has created a scenario where even the most cautious and stable of them now are willing to enter into some sort of exchange for services making this an incredible time to visit.

Also, I am fluent in Spanish making things much easier for me than for most. The sounds of a hot Colombian woman moaning and speaking dirty is music to my ears. The menu of what is available there is WAY better than here both in terms of the class of woman and what they are willing to do. Many (if not most) are very bisexual and willing to accompany you in 3 somes (or moresomes) hotter than anything you will get in the states for the most part. And they aren't worn out drug addicts (although some are and a lot of the Prepagos do use and even offer something called a "Fiesta Blanca" which is sex with stimulants of your choice (Be very careful if partaking in these as many things can go wrong). Be extremely safety and security conscious at all times when going anywhere for these types of trips.

I have seen all the posts about testing before returning and that was one of my big concerns before leaving. Another was getting or not getting "Travel Insurance". Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

I will be a consistent poster here with updates of my trip and ongoing info for those seeking travel info in the future.

I was told and read many times before traveling anywhere overseas to avoid wearing gold chains, expensive watches, and other items that might catch a thief's attention. I don't wear chains or jewelry anyway and leave my expensive watches at home and wear a swatch or similar style. Certain cities and neighborhoods within those cities are even more dangerous than most. I have passed through Barranquilla a few times but never stayed as it did not appear a safe place to stay or visit.

I was thinking there was more to it than just the chain. Sounds like he was in a tough barrio, which defines most of Barranquilla. Unsavory people would notice him if he was staying in one area on a consistent basis. If he is buying property there that would create more unwanted attention. One time I took a collectivo from Santa Marta to CTG. I thought it was direct like the other direction and then discovered it was stopping every ten minutes inside BAQ. I did not see anything there that made me want to get off. I suppose you can find lots of chica but the same one's go to CTG too.

Lot of covid right now.Not so much that there was a lot of Covid Cases but everywhere I went things were either open 1 day and closed the next or totally closed.

When I got the BAQ they were on a Togue de Queda (Quarantine / Curfew) after 6 pm for the entire city which meant that all the clubs and social life was gone. Then they added a 1 day out and the next in based on the last number on your passport of Cedula for locals (Odd or Even) so you could only get out in the city every other day. As it turned out, my girlfriend and I had the same ODD number so we could get out a bit during the ON days for our number. We moved on the Santa Marta and the day we got there they shut the whole place down for a 1 day open and the next day closed routine (everyone could get out and go to the beach 1 day and no one could the next). It's really idiotic if you ask me but they said they were trying to reduce the number of hospitalizations (never sure if that is true or not. Even here in the states).

Anyway, we stayed at some nice resort style hotels that offered some beautiful views and a few perks for the lock down days. I think maybe because of the lock downs we got into more playtime than I had anticipated by meeting women and some couples at the hotels and our hotel suites provided a nice place for lots of nakedness and fun.

Going back in a couple of months and will start going monthly for a weekend or so. Hope this thing smooth out soon worldwide.

International travel is always fraught with issues since the inception of the TSA and heightened security checks leaving and reentering the states but this crap with the added feature of needing the Negative Test result within 72 hrs of your flight makes things even more so and really makes what is supposed to be a great time difficult.

She didn't want anything to do with him and the apartment and everything was in her name so he couldn't do anything about it. He made a big deal with the police but got now where except on the news for being such a dumbass and they were roaring laughing at the gringo on the news saying he wanted his money back.

He fared better than this poor sap though. At least he didn't get killed. So many guys who have zero game and are socially very awkward in the states think it's easy to go somewhere else and become a king or some stupid shit. There will never be an end to this and the old adage "A fool and his money are soon separated" will play on until the end of time.

Note to self in his next life, don't go around parading like your a reggae rock star in another country, stop with all the pretense and ego thinking that your the shit, keep a low profile, fuck the putas you want and move onto the next, enjoy life and keep the attitude back in the US as it does not go over well even in the costeno predominately black areas of the coasta regions, their is a great deal of jealousy and animosity especially so with the costeno culture.

In my professional career and private life back in the US for decades I was a watch lover, high end expensive watches, and gold chains and bracelets, many purchased on trips to Venice Italy over a course of a few decades, sold them all, everything and used the money to purchase my apartment in Medellin 4 years ago and have never looked back. I don't even wear a plastic watch, nothing, nada and certainly nothing on my neck.

So given my explanation and usage of the word "tuition" in quotes and the general slant of the conversation at the time, it meant I was applying the usage to "scammers" and "non-regular girls", who want something for nothing.

Ya know, this great city gets almost zero recognition on here. I for one love it and although I have been to Medellin, Bogota and Cartagena, my favorites are Barranquilla and Santa Marta. I am going back for a few days covering the 4th of July and am wondering if any other Gringos will be on the coast to hang out and exchange war stories?

I will fly into Barranquilla spend a couple of days, Berlin it over to Santa Marta for a couple and then back to Barranquilla for a day of so and leave.

Period.Yeah, preCovid, I had no issues bringing in women to the hotels. I stayed at the Hilton one time and the GHL the other. I actually liked the GHL better and it is cheaper. I remember having AC problems at the GHL though.

I found women from seeking.com to hang out with. I ran into four stunning beauties there. All of them fucked the shit out of me, and 3 of the 4 did not want excessive amounts.

Thing with BAQ is that it is boring. Maybe if you hit the spas, you can lie them up and bang a dozen or so over time, but I think you have the right idea. I liked BAQ and the women there, but I asked guys what to do and the consensus was there is nothing.

And yeah, GHL is a 4 star hotel and costs $48 a night on hotels.com and you probably get it cheaper than that. I think if you had a routine there things may not be boring and could work out to be fun.

One thing I did do was that there is a food mall right on the river with like a dozen different restaurants that I went to that was pretty cool.

For me, BAQ is a big, busy, and not all that attractive city, but I'm there for work, not mongering, so I'm not looking at it as a vacation spot. If it wasn't for work, I probably wouldn't visit. I stayed at the Barranquilla Plaza which has a pool and is pretty cheap. YMMV, but if you make a reservation for 2, you should be ok. Over the years, I've had maybe 6 or 7 girls there and have never been charged extra and have had no problems. Walking distance to Zero Stress, but you'd need a taxi to get to other spas. Often on doncolombia the review mentions if the girl is the one in the photos from another site like mileroticos, but, as you say, that can be a toss of the dice which I also try to stay away from. No harm in asking for photos. Andrea was indeed the girl in the photos. She's not drop dead gorgeous, but I found her quite attractive and we hit it off really well. Of course anything can happen, but I've been with at least a dozen different girls in BAQ and haven't had a negative experience yet. Barranquilla does not have the tourist traffic that other cities do so I think they want your business more than pissing you off by causing problems over chicas in your room. I am told that the Don Carlton is a hot spot for gringos but have never been there. It is directly across from the Centro Commercial (somewhat of a hotspot for day hunting regular girls off the radar). The first 3 I mentioned are very nice, higher end hotels with nice facilities and beautiful rooms. The staffs in all are very professional and although I am very fluent in Spanish they also speak English. I have a girlfriend there who likes to play as well and she has some friends that we entertained on several occasions but I also fish a bit on Tinder and had some amazing success with that app in BAQ. Another site that is wildly popular there is Seeking Arrangements and not to be overlooked if you use it. The is a large selection of user accounts in BAQ there and they are all very open to almost any arrangement you want to make.

The Hotel Farranda was a gem I found quite by mistake. It is a very nice boutique style hotel away from things. It has some decent facilities with a rooftop bar, pool and restaurant. The staff was extremely accommodating and we actually met several people there who were escaping the quarantine for a couple of days and we had a couple of incredible orgies in my room 2 nights in a row with 4-5 people waking up in the bed the next morning.

From BAQ I love to go to Puerto Colombia or Santa Marta for a couple of days and enjoy their beaches and the women there as well. Trips to the Malecon along the River Magdalena are a nice break as well and I have met a couple of hotties there too.

I love Colombia and since I'm a guy who doesn't like to be cold at all, the coastal regions of the country are the place for me. I'm not a big fan of Cartagena and its pricing structure when I can find the same quality and, to my taste, a much more gringo friendly population in BAQ. Or sure the sites are great but most of us are traveling for the main events and they are just as abundant and a lot cheaper in BAQ.

Just finished three days in Barranquilla. I imagine during the famous Carnival, the place is hopping. I found it to be a sleepy little town that is not quite set up for gringo tourists. Over the course of three days I only met one guy in a bar who was from the US. I was flying solo the whole time. Lots of things to do if you are Colombian and like to shop and have money for fancy restaurants down by the Malecon. If you are a sporting gentleman like me, well, the pickings were slim. Add to that the torrential rain that fell on Thursday, few people were out.

Day one: Thanks to the Map and the google prompt "strip clubs in Barranquilla" I found a few places. One, Cheaters, is gone. Looks permanently closed. Around the corner is Siglo XX1. About eight girls total. Huge place but empty. And no one dancing. Of the eight, I found one cutie who looked like a Nickelodian bopper. Great smile. 4 K for my beer. 18 K for her Bailey's. Live and learn. 80 K for 20 minutes. I said I would prefer 30 min, she said that since it wasn't busy she could hang out the extra time. We went upstairs. In the room she strips and loses all her cuteness. Nice body, but no passion. Not a lot of experience and very quick to change positions. She promised kissing, but did not deliver. Instead I went across the street to an upstairs bar called Templo de Rock. This is just a bar. The music was awesome for about half an hour, then the DJ put on Hard core Gangster rap in Spanish. Nothing at all like the posters of Phil Lynott and George Harrison on the walls. I told the guy behind the bar I was leaving because the music changed. He apologized and said the guy with the computer makes the choices. Well, fuck him, I said to myself. No street food around, so I hit McDonalds and called it a night.

Day two: In the morning I did my compulsory Covid test at Laboratorio Continental, which is on Calle 80. Near my Airbnb. Easy in and out. Later that afternoon, I began my hunt. On the Map there's a section below Plaza de Paz and further east, near San Nicolas church. Carrera 39 is supposed to have SW hanging around. I decided to do an extended walk to try to see if there was in fact SW in this town. I began walking in daylight so I could see a church or two and perhaps find some good street food, and have beers along the way. There is a very busy Calle over on the other side of the Plaza de paz. I walked down this busy road and stopped in at every girlie bar I came across. There were about six of them on that street. I think it's Calle 34, starting at the Paseo Bolivar and walking south. Every girlie bar was just a small bar packed with hefty girls just sitting around. Ear splitting music played making it impossible to talk and set up any kind of transaction, even if I was taken by any of these big-boned ladies. I found out later that the girls all "work" there and do not leave with men unless they feel like it. And if they leave, there is a 40 k charge for the house. The security guy explained this to me. He kind of chuckled because he knew what I wanted, but then led me to believe that these girls don't generally do PxP. Just finished three days in Barranquilla. I found it to be a sleepy little town that is not quite set up for gringo tourists.And that is what I love about it! Although with 1.2 million people it is not such a little town. It is spread out and not hectic.

Let me begin by saying that my heart is in Medellin. I've never been anywhere so many incredible and willing ladies are found in one place. That being said, man does not live on bread alone, and I decided to try some less trodden ground. The airfares into Barranquilla are the best I've found coming into Colombia- much better than Cartagena, only 45 min away. Add to that that Barranquilla is a working port, along with all the perks. There are a TON of Prepago, casas, spas, and non-professionals eager to earn your dollars. I've been coming down here for about six years, during which time the COP has changed from 2200 COP:1 USD to the current 4000 COP:1 USD. Translate that to a working class port town and you have prices for 1/2 hour in a spa or casa ranging from 30 k to 80 k, full hours up to about 150 k, and hotel visits about the same or only slightly higher. I didn't see one price over 200 k for ANYONE.

I'the also add that the game in Colombia is online, not on the streets. I love a bargain as much as anyone, but with a half hour as cheap as 30 k (under $10 USD), why risk it? Most of my contacts have been through Milerticos, Photoprepagos, Skokka, and Locanto. I have Tinder but simply haven't needed it.

Of special note is Ariana at Zero Stress Spa, Carerra 46 # 74 70.80 k 20 min, 120 k for a full hour of however many rides you want. Not only is she beautiful, but incredibly friendly and unrushed. I was there tonight (Monday). Fairly experienced guy in the trade, but feeling like a needed something as a Seeking Arrangement date showed up with about 30 extra lbs than her pics and braces. I ended up routing through Bogota on Avianca for $78. No issues with flight and used the Cumbia Lounge in BOG. Of note, Avianca uses a lot of buses at Bogota airport for planning / de-planning so be sure to give yourself enough time.

Taxi.

BAQ to my hotel (NH Royal SmartSuites) was 35 k and took around 40 minutes. The area just north of the airport is called Soledad and appears quite poor, but definitely nicer than the first time I visited 4 years ago. Return to airport was quoted at 55 k for taxi and ended up using an Uber for 38 k. Give yourself plenty of time as the roads are poor and traffic bad. It also rained on the way into town ( 3 pm) and rained most days between 3-5 pm for 30 minutes or so. Bring an umbrella!

Hotel.

I stayed at the NH Royal SmartSuites. On booking.com I found rates for $53 to $65 throughout my stay. I wanted to stay at the Four Points Sheraton, but it was booked. I know I could have found cheaper places, but I needed a good internet connection for work and wanted to be in a walkable location. Overall, nice hotel with a spa and small pool on the top floor. Staff was good and no issues with girls. I had 2 visit me over the course of 4 nights and didn't need to sign in either of them.

Casas.

Zero Stress – Went around 4:30 pm on a Wednesday. Line up of 5-6 girls who I would rate 5-6. Generally mixed or darker girls, but curvy. Hotel. I stayed at the Four Points Sheraton for $53/ nt. Nice hotel with a decent pool on the top, great buffet breakfast and many restaurants close by. I had two girls visit over 3 days and no problems. One I checked in and another I just walked through like she was staying there (many business folks there so well dressed girls can blend in). As I walked away, he looked at me-I motioned to check the pockets, gave him a thumbs up and walked away: hopefully helping him a bit--they were nice 100 dollar levis-almost brand new in great shape: I just didn't need them and felt compelled to help someone in that moment. And wanted extra room in my bag for some coffee / chocolate I was bringing back with me as gifts.

So from what I am reading on this thread, Barranquilla is not really worth it. It is hot and boring during the day and no brothel open; casas are far away from each other; no street girls; although prices seem reasonable, it is no match to Medellin, Bogota or Cali.


My information is dated, but I was in and out of Barranquilla over a two week period about five years ago. Many, many casas (I went to one). Saw SW'ers in several places (mostly, at a park near the Olympic stadium), many clubs with brothels attached -- they're all well documented. I think the brothels / casas kind of move around, go in and out of business. Kind of a hot, flat, spread out city, but has some nice areas. I had two memorable trysts there, one with a very pretty, 19 yo universitaria. The other with a 24 yo pharmacist from Caracas. Not a destination, except during Carnaval when it is apparently off the hook.After years of driving through Barq a year ago I decided to explore the city and so spent almost one week and hit the casas and strip clubs and met a number of regular chicas usually in the shops where they worked, the bottom line is I have "been there now and done that" and absolutely have zero interest in returning to Barq.

So, if price is right and time is convenient then why not?

BAQ is a smaller airport, similar to SMR. So there were no long lines. But it does have priority pass lounges.

So all good from the airport perspective.

If you want to save a little on your ride to Santa Marta, from the airport for 20 k you can take an fficial taxi (ot Indriver for 8 k) to bus stop. There are frequent and comfortable buses to Santa Marta and Riohacha. The tickets were 35 k if I am not mistaken. And the departures are every 30 min.

I took the Riohacha bus back and forth (as I stayed in parque Tayrona area) and had a comfortable uneventful ride. The bus ride took about 3 hours.

I'm back in Colombia for work for about 5 weeks. Started in BAQ and managed to squeeze in three sessions. First up was Laura who had a positive review on dondolombia. Petite and cute MILF with a few extra pounds but reasonably firm. I wasn't expecting a stunner but was expecting very good GFE service which she provided. This section of this trip report covers basic information about Santa Marta and Barranquilla!

I have been to a few cities in Colombia, such as Cartagena, Medellin, and Cali, but I still wanted to visit a couple of other cities. This trip was split between Santa Marta and Barranquilla, three nights in each city.

Once again, I used World Travel 69's maps for both locations. I also consulted my travel friend, Mr. Enternational, and he filled in some missing gaps; always helpful.

Travel insurance:

I purchase travel insurance from Generali Global Assistance for around 160 bucks. Why? During these times, "Quien sabe?" I search for the policy that best fit my needs on Square Mouth.

Logistics:

Flight:

I flew on American Airlines, from San Diego to Miami, and then on to Barranquilla. The return flights were reversed.

Barranquilla was home base and I went on to Santa Marta from there for my first three nights.

Migration Form:

When I was checking in my bag with AA in San Diego, I was asked for my Migration Form to enter Colombia. I was not aware of this form and started searching for the website. This is the website: migracioncolombia. Gov. Co.

It is called CheckMig. There you need to fill out the immigration registration form 72 hours before your trip OR up to one hour before. It took me around 10 minutes to fill out the form and submit it. Once I did, within a few minutes, I received the document in my e-mail box. I showed the document to the AA agent and off I went to the security checkpoint. I did the same thing when I was leaving Colombia, but no one asked me for the document.

Immigration / Customs:

I blew through immigration and customs in Barranquilla around 1 pm. It took me less than 10 minutes to clear both.

Money:

On the Oanda exchange website, the exchange rate has been over 4000 to 1 for awhile. But, of course you will not get that rate at any exchange place within the country.

In the Barranquilla airport, there were two money exchange booths right next to each other. The exchange rates were not listed on neither one. Thus, I went to both of them and asked about their rates. One quoted me 1 US for 3600 COP and the other one quoted me 1 US for 3650 COP. It was an easy decision.

The next day in Santa Marta, I went to one of the exchange places in town and the rate was 1 US for 3800 COP. When I returned to Barranquilla, I just used ATMs.

To simplify things for me, I basically divided the prices in COP by four.

Weather:

It was hot and humid, but I knew that before I left. Every now and then, it rained like cats and putas.

Communication:

I now have the T-Mobile Go5 GPlus55 plan; no worries whatsoever.

Spanish:

I heard very little English spoken in Santa Marta and a little more in Barranquilla. If you go to those cities to conduct business, I'm sure more English is spoken. But if you are just a schmuck like me, chasing chicas and eating the local cuisine, there are very few English speakers; especially in strip clubs, casas, and all those other dirty places we visit.

Thus, if you plan to travel to Latin American countries, I highly recommend that you learn some Spanish. It is not that difficult and it opens up a whole new world!

Welcome to Barranquilla!

It is a large city with very few monger venues. There were not a lot of things to see and do, except to see their famous church, the one that looks like a small sports area!

Transportation:

I mostly used Uber during my stay. I did use a couple of taxis, but once again, they were clueless. Friday night, I was in Bar Club and I got a text from a bar girl and she wanted to meet at some hotel. I wrote down the directions and headed to find a cab. In hindsight, I should have called an Uber.

There was a taxi in front of the big bolted hands. I showed him the directions and he said no problem. I got in the cab and at the same time, he walked away! He went to a street food area, stayed there, and never came back! WTF? I was frustrated, got out of the damn taxi, and went looking for another! Yet again, in hindsight, I should have called an Uber.

I found another taxi within a few minutes, but this time, he seemed to know where he was going. Off we went and he said he needed some gas. We stopped at this crappy gas station. The gas attendant opened the hood of the car. Then he pulled out some sort of probe and put it somewhere under the hood. The probe looked like it was nuclear, nitrogen, hydrogen, or propane. Either way, when the process started, the driver and attendant both yelled at me to get out of the car! My first thought was I would be dead in seconds, and no less, die a crappy gas station! But, I feel better now.

NOTE: I used Uber when I returned to the airport and it cost $18.

Logging:

I stayed at the Four Points Sheraton. Nice hotel and I had a great room. Was it girl friendly? Absolutely, I brought in three escorts without any issues.

Restaurants:

I did a lot of research before I left and I was hoping to find local cuisine such as, ajlaco soup, chiguiro, and lechona. However some of those dishes are regional and I had trouble finding them. I did go out to some restaurants and here are my thoughts on the food scene:

Cucayo Very good local cuisine.

Donde Mama Good local cuisine.

Palo de Mango Outstanding.

Pepe Anea. Excellent.

Matriarcia Very good, but the band was better.

Comments: I was walking around that big bolted hands looking for Makumba bar, which was closed. However, Bar Club was open (they are next to each other). I went in and there was a very long bar with tons of stools. It turned out to be a hostess bar and the girls were very friendly.

I started buying cans of Smirnoff Ice and all hell broke loose. The girls started bouncing their asses like it was some sort of completion. A couple of girls upped their game and dropped their panties; I was a happy camper! I wanted to pull two girls out of the place, but I was told it would have to be after their shift at 2. I did not want to wait until 2, thus, I left. BTW, their shift ends at 4 on Friday and Saturday.

Other bars / clubs:

Because I only sought out the clubs on a Thursday night, maybe some of these clubs opened later OR were closed that evening.

La Hojo: We drove by this club around 11 and it was sealed shut.

La Troja (near La Hoja): The club looked like it was half destroyed OR pretty messed up.

Makumba: Closed. Their last FB post was in March 2020.

La Orquidea: Closed.

Murillos: Closed.

El Tunel de Amor: Could not find the place. Their last FB post was in November 2018.

LOS Prados: I may have missed this place or was too tired to go.

The areas were behind Bar Club and the big bolted hands. At night, I only saw a butt-load (pun intended) of trans. Me thinks going during the afternoon would be easier to find dickless street girls.

I pulled in three escorts from Mileroticos. One asked for 150,000 and the other two asked for 180,000. All three were very different and I completely enjoyed my time with each one. None of them were clock watchers. Maybe that was because I had tasty adult beverages in my hotel room.

Tinder / Glambu: I wasted too much time on both apps! There were many responses, but no one followed through. I am done with those apps!

Final thoughts on Barranquilla:

It was a seeking putas and eating great food trip. I thought the city was safe and I never felt threaten in any manner. Would I ever return to Barranquilla? No! But only because of the lack of adult venues. Also, there were not a lot of things to see and do in the city. However, having said that, I still had a good time exploring Barranquilla. It was a large city and I was hoping for the best. But after one night, I ran out of clubs to visit. Would I recommend the city to other mongers? No!

But, I feel better now.That actually happened to me over in the United Arab Emirates. I was taking a hydrogen-powered taxi from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. The driver pulled into the gas station, asked me to exit the taxi, and proceeded to fill the tank of the taxi with the stuff that torched the Hindenburg. The whole process took a few minutes.

That place is really bad. Fellas BAQ is not for everyone. The strip clubs scene is weak, so if you planned to go to a strip club and make it rain you will be disappointed.

This section of this trip report covers basic information about Santa Marta and Barranquilla!

I have been to a few cities in Colombia, such as Cartagena, Medellin, and Cali, but I still wanted to visit a couple of other cities. This trip was split between Santa Marta and Barranquilla, three nights in each city.

Once again, I used World Travel 69's maps for both locations. I also consulted my travel friend, Mr. Enternational, and he filled in some missing gaps; always helpful.

Travel insurance:

I purchase travel insurance from Generali Global Assistance for around 160 bucks. Why? During these times, "Quien sabe?" I search for the policy that best fit my needs on Square Mouth.

Logistics:

Flight:

I flew on American Airlines, from San Diego to Miami, and then on to Barranquilla. The return flights were reversed.

Barranquilla was home base and I went on to Santa Marta from there for my first three nights.

Migration Form:

When I was checking in my bag with AA in San Diego, I was asked for my Migration Form to enter Colombia. I was not aware of this form and started searching for the website. This is the website: migracioncolombia. Gov. Co.

It is called CheckMig. There you need to fill out the immigration registration form 72 hours before your trip OR up to one hour before. It took me around 10 minutes to fill out the form and submit it. Once I did, within a few minutes, I received the document in my e-mail box. I showed the document to the AA agent and off I went to the security checkpoint. I did the same thing when I was leaving Colombia, but no one asked me for the document.

Immigration / Customs:

I blew through immigration and customs in Barranquilla around 1 pm. It took me less than 10 minutes to clear both.

Money:

On the Oanda exchange website, the exchange rate has been over 4000 to 1 for awhile. But, of course you will not get that rate at any exchange place within the country.

In the Barranquilla airport, there were two money exchange booths right next to each other. The exchange rates were not listed on neither one. Thus, I went to both of them and asked about their rates. One quoted me 1 US for 3600 COP and the other one quoted me 1 US for 3650 COP. It was an easy decision.

The next day in Santa Marta, I went to one of the exchange places in town and the rate was 1 US for 3800 COP. When I returned to Barranquilla, I just used ATMs.

To simplify things for me, I basically divided the prices in COP by four.

Weather:

It was hot and humid, but I knew that before I left. Every now and then, it rained like cats and putas.

Communication:

I now have the T-Mobile Go5 GPlus55 plan; no worries whatsoever.

Spanish:

I heard very little English spoken in Santa Marta and a little more in Barranquilla. If you go to those cities to conduct business, I'm sure more English is spoken. But if you are just a schmuck like me, chasing chicas and eating the local cuisine, there are very few English speakers; especially in strip clubs, casas, and all those other dirty places we visit.

Thus, if you plan to travel to Latin American countries, I highly recommend that you learn some Spanish. It is not that difficult and it opens up a whole new world!

Welcome to Barranquilla!

It is a large city with very few monger venues. There were not a lot of things to see and do, except to see their famous church, the one that looks like a small sports area!

Transportation:

I mostly used Uber during my stay. I did use a couple of taxis, but once again, they were clueless. Friday night, I was in Bar Club and I got a text from a bar girl and she wanted to meet at some hotel. I wrote down the directions and headed to find a cab. In hindsight, I should have called an Uber.

There was a taxi in front of the big bolted hands. I showed him the directions and he said no problem. I got in the cab and at the same time, he walked away! He went to a street food area, stayed there, and never came back! WTF? I was frustrated, got out of the damn taxi, and went looking for another! Yet again, in hindsight, I should have called an Uber.

I did a lot of research before I left and I was hoping to find local cuisine such as, ajlaco soup, chiguiro, and lechona. However some of those dishes are regional and I had trouble finding them. I did go out to some restaurants and here are my thoughts on the food scene:

Cucayo Very good local cuisine.

Donde Mama Good local cuisine.

Palo de Mango Outstanding.

Pepe Anea. Excellent.

Matriarcia Very good, but the band was better.

Just got back from a week in Baranquilla. Up front, I want to say that I am a bargain basement hobbyist. I seek to have as many sessions with a variety of chicas (and the occasional MILF) at the lowest price in the area. Which in BAQ is 40-50 k for 20-30 minutes. No massages, no drinking with the girls, not spending the night. Just an opportunity to spend some quality time with attractive females. Which for me is the girl next door, or a typical MILF you see waiting at a school to pick up her child. If a cute face returns my smile with what looks like a real smile of her own, and, her body is fairly well proportioned, I know I will almost certainly enjoy the session. I like them natural, boob jobs and ass jobs really turn me off. To have these opportunities for less than the price of a movie ticket, really almost for free, is definitely my idea of a good time.

That being said, I didn't find as many opportunities as I have in other Colombia cities, but I had 9 enjoyable sessions and considered the visit worthwhile. I had chosen an AirBnb which was close to several spas / casas, but it turned out 2 of the ones that sounded very promising are closed. However, there was one memorable location, where I had 7 of my 9 sessions, all for 40 k for 20 minutes, though I always gave them the 10 k change for a propina. The place is on WT69's map, with the name Bloom (Blue). It was very easy to find. If you can imagine a group of cute coeds renting an apartment, and deciding to run an adult business out of it on their own, you will have a sense of this place. If you've ever watched porn, and seen the students going at it in a dorm, and thought to yourself how come that didn't happen for me in college, you can live that experience here. It never seemed that there was a mamasan or anyone in charge. When I knocked on the door, one of the chicas would look through a little hole in the plastic that was covering the glass panels of the door. The person doing so just seemed to be whomever was closest to the door when I arrived. The entrance room had several couches, like a college apartment living room, and some of the chicas were just lounging around, in various states of undress, some in street clothes. All but one, who seemed to be a little older (she said she was 22), were very cute, in decent shape, and very friendly. One would call for the others who were not in the entrance area, and they would introduce themselves. There might be as few as 2 and a many as 5 who presented themselves. You just pick one and they take you to a room, all of which had air conditioning. You could lounge around with one of them if you wanted, but that's not my thing. I speak very limited Spanish, but they were all a lot of fun to talk to while doing the deed. I judge the effort of a chica by how much effort they put into CG position, and all of them passed that test in flying colors, with tits bouncing and swinging and asses moving throughout. I really couldn't believe they would get into it like that for 40 k. All service was covered, though one offered BBBJ for 40 K extra, but I didn't feel a need for it. It made me realize I probably should have tried some other spas that had higher prices listed on the map. But the truth is, it was so hot I probably couldn't have done much more than my 9 sessions. Anyway, at Boston 3, when I knocked, I saw a cute 30 something MILF look out the window. By this time, I had already gone to 2 map locations and one on the report posted just after the map, where there were regular families living there, the spas had closed or moved. So I was assuming that was going to be the case here. But not wanting to possibly miss out, I asked her Hay chicas aqui? And she, to my pleasant surprise, said yes. At least when I went (early weekday afternoon), they seemed to specialize in MILFs, which I enjoy every now and then. 2 of the 3 were quite doable, both being the type you might see walking down the street and making you think (if you have mind like mine) "I'd like to spend some quality time with her". I seek to have as many sessions with a variety of chicas (and the occasional MILF) at the lowest price in the area. Which in BAQ is 40-50 k for 20-30 minutes. No massages, no drinking with the girls, not spending the night. Just an opportunity to spend some quality time with attractive females. Which for me is the girl next door, or a typical MILF you see waiting at a school to pick up her child. If a cute face returns my smile with what looks like a real smile of her own, and, her body is fairly well proportioned, I know I will almost certainly enjoy the session. I like them natural, boob jobs and ass jobs really turn me off. To have these opportunities for less than the price of a movie ticket, really almost for free, is definitely my idea of a good time.

That being said, I didn't find as many opportunities as I have in other Colombia cities, but I had 9 enjoyable sessions and considered the visit worthwhile. I use World Traveler 69's maps wherever I go in Central and South America, and even though they are dated, they still are useful. I just sent him a few updates based on my activity. I had chosen an AirBnb which was close to several spas / casas, but it turned out 2 of the ones that sounded very promising are closed. However, there was one memorable location, where I had 7 of my 9 sessions, all for 40 k for 20 minutes, though I always gave them the 10 k change for a propina. The place is on WT69's map, with the name Bloom (Blue). It was very easy to find. If you can imagine a group of cute coeds renting an apartment, and deciding to run an adult business out of it on their own, you will have a sense of this place. If you've ever watched porn, and seen the students going at it in a dorm, and thought to yourself how come that didn't happen for me in college, you can live that experience here. It never seemed that there was a mamasan or anyone in charge. When I knocked on the door, one of the chicas would look through a little hole in the plastic that was covering the glass panels of the door. The person doing so just seemed to be whomever was closest to the door when I arrived. The entrance room had several couches, like a college apartment living room, and some of the chicas were just lounging around, in various states of undress, some in street clothes. All but one, who seemed to be a little older (she said she was 22), were very cute, in decent shape, and very friendly. One would call for the others who were not in the entrance area, and they would introduce themselves. There might be as few as 2 and a many as 5 who presented themselves. You just pick one and they take you to a room, all of which had air conditioning. You could lounge around with one of them if you wanted, but that's not my thing. I speak very limited Spanish, but they were all a lot of fun to talk to while doing the deed. I judge the effort of a chica by how much effort they put into CG position, and all of them passed that test in flying colors, with tits bouncing and swinging and asses moving throughout. I really couldn't believe they would get into it like that for 40 k. All service was covered, though one offered BBBJ for 40 K extra, but I didn't feel a need for it. I repeated with 2 (Diana and Luna) and also enjoyed Carmalina and Pamela. I sessioned with Escarlina, who was the least attractive, when I was in a rush to get to the airport. But even she made a great effort to satisfy. The other places I went to were Boston 2 and Boston 3. Unfortunately, I went to Boston 2 four times, and it was only open once, despite one of the chicas telling me that one time that they had regular hours. The door always has a cerrado (closed sign), even when they are open. I only saw 2 chicas the one time I got in, but it was a good session, again, 40 k. I had put off going to Boston 3, since the WT69 list said that the minimum price was 70 k. However, when I went, and asked for 20 minutes, I was quoted 40 k. It made me realize I probably should have tried some other spas that had higher prices listed on the map. But the truth is, it was so hot I probably couldn't have done much more than my 9 sessions. Anyway, at Boston 3, when I knocked, I saw a cute 30 something MILF look out the window. By this time, I had already gone to 2 map locations and one on the report posted just after the map, where there were regular families living there, the spas had closed or moved. So I was assuming that was going to be the case here. But not wanting to possibly miss out, I asked her Hay chicas aqui? And she, to my pleasant surprise, said yes. At least when I went (early weekday afternoon), they seemed to specialize in MILFs, which I enjoy every now and then. 2 of the 3 were quite doable, both being the type you might see walking down the street and making you think (if you have mind like mine) "I'd like to spend some quality time with her". I chose the one who had looked out the window when I arrived. She was dressed in normal street clothes, but upon removing them, presented a great pair, and very little belly fat (she had 2 children, but there was no baby damage remaining). Avril was the only one who offered BBBJ to start, not trying to upsell to offer it. I always find that asking them about their kids helps make as much of a connection as one can make in 20 minutes, and the session with Avril was great, she really worked up a sweat in CG, as did I in mish and doggy.

I spent the rest of my time sightseeing, and combined with the hobbying, and the heat, had very little energy left for anything else. Anyway, I hope any fellow bargain basement hobbyists reading this report will find it useful.

I understand it takes time to put these maps together and your work goes unappreciated by many people who probably used your maps, but charging a fee is not the way to do this bro. Just like the stupid pay walls for the news articles, people will find a way around it. If you want to make these maps and help people out that is great, but trying to profit from the information you are providing isn't going to work.

I suggest you make the maps available for free as they used to be. And perhaps ISG can pay you a fee for hosting the maps or something. But charging individuals a fee to see the maps is just a stupid idea.
