OK as I have said that my friend got drugged and robbed in el Primer de Mayo. There needs to be a correction. The club that drugged, robbed and beat him is actually called Pasarela which is on the first floor of the building that is called Coliseo Romano. The club Coliseo Romano is located on the 2nd floor of that building. We have been appointed an investigator from the Fiscalia who we talked to last Monday so she can get the camera footage. She was very busy on that day and have not heard from her ever since. I would say stay away from primer de mayo period. But if you insist, just stay away from that corner and avoid the clubs Fiebre, Pasarela, Coliseo Romano and Castle Blue.
Update on Charles Schwab $100 withdrawal: Now about 2 months ago I used my Charles Schwab card to withdrawal $100 from a Bancolombia ATM on a Saturday. The machine said that it's having technical difficulties and didn't give me any money. The bank did however, charge my bank account and didn't reimburse me 2 minutes later like it usually does. I filed a claim with Charles Schwab and they reimbursed me 1 week later. Now 5 days ago Charles Schwab took back the $100 it credited me 2 months because they say that Bancolombia gave them a receipt (as evidence) that the ATM machine did give me the money. What? I talked to Charles Scwhab saying that there is video footage of the cameras of the ATM machine not giving me the money. The representative said "I believe you but that's how the bank works". My friend got robbed by a club and I got robbed by a bank. We could both prove it with the cameras in these institutions but somehow these institutions won't let us access it.

Do you think this is a new scam in the making? Why not escalate by filing a written complaint with the General Manager of this Bank?

It sucks.

I've had hundreds of requests from people to access my security tapes over the years and never given one.
Firstly, it's illegal to show tapes to people.
Secondly, their problem isn't my problem, I answer to the authorities and my bosses.
If the guy manages to get the cops to try and get it from me, then I'll see what I can do to be 'helpful' for the cops, because they are the only ones legally entitled. And that would only happen if it suits us and there is no liability on us.
Problem is, by the time that happens, if the guy has made the effort to bother the cops and they could give a fuck and actually turn up to ask for the tapes, by then 'sorry they're wiped every seven days' would of loved to have helped'.
If I decide to make the footage available, I show the cops how to use the machine and they can waste two days scrolling through minute by minute. I don't get paid to do that and frankly they don't care to either, unless it's for a murder, and then they'll make an effort.
That is how it works the world over my friend, your expectations are unrealistic.

Not in Colombia. I have a company, the building is monitored by cameras and it was very helpful a couple of times for me as well as far others. There are private cameras but there is also a network of outdoor cameras runned by the city. Any citizen can ask copy of it.

My opinion. I would stay away from Bancolombia machines just because of the problems dealing with the bank regarding any withdrawal malfunctions. I would try and stick with a bank like Davivienda and use the machines at the office location, not a stand alone. Maybe a pain but worth a thought.

You can sometimes get private footage also, but by default, it's 'illegal', should they wish to follow best practice privacy policy to protect their business, in line with insurance requirements etc.
The overall point was valid; the chap was never getting the footage, nor were the cops, and he seemed surprised, but that is the general position.

Just go to whichever part of town is closest and easiest with traffic considerations.
I'd recommend Santa Fe, the talent there is exceptional and such a simple process, particularly the street sweeties.

I have never been robbed by an ATM in Colombia or anywhere else in the world for that matter (knock wood) but I have no difficulty believing guys who say they have.Once, 12 years ago, Davivienda actually gave me a FAKE 20 k peso note. I was so pissed off I stormed into the bank swearing at them and announcing loudly to everybody that the ATM just gave me a false note.
Another time in MDE, an ATM spit out a 50 k note that got stuck and ripped to pieces as I tried to get it out LOL.
But OTOH, I once had a Canadian ATM not give me $300CAD of my money.

Arrived late last night. MIA-BOG. Sped through immigration and customs. I like Bogot's airport. Modern and efficient. Book a room at the Hotel San Francisco de Asis. Approximate $83 for three nights including taxes On booking.com. Walking distance to Santa Fe And on the main Cra 10. Clean rooms with breakfast included. After freshening up I get a taxi using the app called Easy. A Cabify app. I think they have one for android too. Just search easy taxi. I tried using Uber but they were all 1520 minutes away. Cab fare from hotel to the southern clubs was 13 k. About a 20 minute drive Arrived at Avenida 1 de mayo. This is Ground Zero of all this south club. Club door staff continue to be pushy And try to get you to go into the clubs. I like going to all the clubs to find the right talent. Out of the 10 to 15 clubs there about five of them had real good talent. Again mostly Venezuelan is here but you do find some Colombian women. I found me a short light skin Venezuelan with dark hair. She kind a look like A paisa with her white skin and jet black hair. Just my luck she arrive today from buga. And was eager to sit down and have drinks We ordered a 1/2 bottle for 60 k. Man can she drink. We finish the bottle in lesson 45 minutes and straight to the room She charge 60 but waiting for the room a local told me that i should be paying only 40 here I'm like damn. Oh well lesson learned it only cost 40k down here. Into the room we go she quickly gets naked and I enjoy her pale white skin. I am a dark Hispanic so the contrast was excellent. I'm staying up near Hotel Tequendama, so it's less than 10 minute walk to Santa Fe, no problems day or night.
But I like going down to 22 for breakfast around 6 am and wandering around there for a couple of hours, and at other weird times and I would just prefer to be right there on the doorstep.

No need to repeat the evening route. Mix it up and have a night out in Santa Fe with board member Woodman.
I would doubt anyone with him has ever had any issues so that option is 100% safe and certainly a fantastic eye opener (with dozens of super hot ladies lined up on the streets and of course in the clubs).

If you stay at Hotel San Francisco, you don't want the rooms on the street side because transmilenio station is right in front and the Windows are not sound proof.

My experience this week is it isn't easy to find a room, or a room that you want.
Troya Suites the first time I checked the young lady didn't seem to know if they had any rooms available, or even what date the may have. The next night I walked past and as I went to enter there was an older lady outside who asked if she could help. When I asked she just said "occupied" and wouldn't even let me so we could check available dates LOL.
Normandie is currently "full". I couldn't get any additional info as the lady was on the phone gossiping for 20 minutes, chatting to me in between every now and then.
Santa Fe suites that room with the kitchenette and sofa is occupied, no info until when but I think she said for two months.
They do have other rooms, but yea, they are very basic, to say the least.
I did get a room arond the corner for 35 K, again, very basic but there were no other options. It's the corner of 19 as you turn right at the first Street after you've walked a block past the Mobil coming into the zone. Great location I must say.

I finally registered after some prolonged lurking. I'm doing a mid May trip (May 12 to 25), starting in Bogota and flying out of Cartagena. This will be my 2nd trip to Colombia and the last time in January of this year, I had some great luck with a blend of pros and non pros in Cartagena and a bit of Medellin. This will be my first time in Bogota. The plan is 5 days in Bogota, 4 in Medellin and 4 in Cartagena. I have quite a few ladies lined up in each city through Tinder and a contact in Cartagena. When I was doing the research, I had seen this building on Street View but did not realize this indeed is the Mezzanine. (A tree partially blocks the front of this building on Street View).

Always contact the owner or property manager and ask "What is the guest policy for both the apartment and the building. Are there any restrictions or costs associated with bringing back guests to the apartment."
If you know the wingmen you travel with, always better to get a condo, it allows you to hang together and party instead of you all piling into one hotel room or having to go out to be able to hang together.

Welcome to Colombia, yes Bancolombia is corrupt as they can be, the golden rule, they got the gold so they rule, 3 years ago in a small pueblo right outside Medellin I used my CapitalOne card to withdraw 600 mil, yep technical difficulties on the first and second try, the ATM made all kinds of counting the money noise but no pesos, I filed a report and a month later got the reply from Bancolombia that I did in fact receive the money so case closed, I lost $440 USD.
It sucks.

There is another network called servibanca, those are green ATMs available mostly everywhere and that network is reliable and well maintained.

As in most thing in Colombia, nobody gives a shit and people just do what they want.There is a law stating that providing public service using a private car gives a 25 year ban on the driver's license in case of repeating offenders. So far around 100 drivers have been penalized around the country. First time offenders get their cars impounded and have to pay a 400 USD penalty fee. Some people do give a shit.
Besides uber service in Colombia is terrible. Many former taxi drivers have switched and they brought in annoying practices like cancelling the trip if the destination is too far, not convenient or there is too much traffic jam, they also cancel the trip once you get in the car so they don't have to pay uber their fee or just stop the car until the arriving time increases and the user cancels the trip. Uber used to provide legal assistance to the drivers but some drivers complain this is not happening anymore.
There are other apps with better service like cabify or easytaxi.

Here most taxis nowadays use apps instead of phone + operator. Cabify mostly uses white taxis (so called "special service taxis" with a bit higher rate), but those are also registered taxis which operates mostly in hotels. I think you can also call a regular yellow taxi using cabify app.
Most locals use an app called Beat instead of Uber.

I'm planning a week in Bogota. Here's my plan (after reading 2 years worth of posts and especially the insanely good Bogota FAQ from Oct 2018:
Stay at Hotel B3 Virrey.
First night, get an escort.

Not sure how to make that work.There is crime all right but the media isn't helping, there is a whole lot of media outlets that are politically left and thus are against the current major of Bogota, so they inflate the news about crime and create a general sense of insecurity among people, looking forward to the next elections. In particular an individual that goes by gustavo petro, is a marxist anarchist who would like to see everything burn so long as he and his political movement are next in the major office of Bogota or in the presidency. Off course you need to be safe, try not to show expensive stuff like watches or gold necklaces, keep an eye on your credit card while paying (ask to bring the wireless machine to you instead of giving away the credit card) to avoid cloning and try not to use your phone to surf in the streets of santa fe and chapinero. Also in bars keep and eye on your bottle and ask the waiter to bring it unopened. If you take the bus put your bagpack to the front and try as much as possible to hire a taxi using apps instead of hiring it from the street, in particular avoid taxis that are parked outside bars and restaurants. I think these are regular safety measures one take in most third world countries.

Not sure how to make that work.Your post reminds me of mine before I came to Bogota. I was also pretty paranoid about safety, and a few people on the forum enjoyed making me even more so! I stayed on Calle 98, walked all over in the daytime from there down to the malls and as far south as where the daytime chica motels around Calle 65. Didn't feel unsafe whatsoever, made sure to dress like the locals, not wear anything flash either. Also didn't feel unsafe at all in the downtown when I stayed at the IBIS there. The only place I did was in Santa Fe, which I found very sketchy and couldn't wait to get out of the place! Can't speak about the night time much though as main; why did my mongering in the daytime.
And all these issues about people spiking your drinks etc only apply to going to some dodgy nightclub / bar, more so at night. They certainly don't apply to going to normal cafes, restaurants, malls etc in the daytime! On my first few days before I got comfortable in the place, I found being in malls was a good place to take a break, get your bearings, and of course use your phone as much as you like, as everybody else does. Of course I had to check my google maps a few times when out walking, but just use common sense and look around you first. I had a few problems with Uber not working, but it was more because they didn't like my credit card for some reason (than anything else. Took an Uber to a mall, then it wouldn't work on the way back. But the friendly security guy in the parking called me one on his phone, so it worked out. But I would say to make sure that your Uber is all set up before you go, as otherwise getting around the city is a pain. And phoning there a cab is a lot more hassle than using Uber!
To me the issues that affected my trip were the altitude that made me tired quicker, the size of the place and transport issues I had, rather than any problems with safety. But definitely don't cancel, go see the place and enjoy it!
Looking at the crime rates, I think I am safe in Asia, LOL. I have to take 3 flights to reach this place, why would I do it now? Can anyone tell me price of virgin girls here?

Alright. I finally went to Bogota. Stayed there for a week, and definitely enjoyed the hell out of it. I did get real sick, bad cold in the middle of the week, but other than that I was like a new man.
I stayed at the Ibis Hotel next to the national museum, and met up with Woodman my first night there. He happened to bring along another ISG monger, and soon we headed down to Santa Fe. What did I see? Well it was Saturday night. And I saw girl after girl after girl lined up on the streets, as Woodman said to me, it was a buffet. And a buffet it was. Woodman showed me around, took me into the clubs and I got my bearings. I'd never been in a place like this, especially not the clubs either. My only strip club experience was in Vegas, and I didn't like it. Santa fe's? Absolutely loved it. The other monger left earlier so we just kept walking around. It had been two hours, I hadn't chosen any girls because I am a very picky guy, and I like to do a lot of window shopping. I also got to check out the Mezzanine massage parlors, didn't like the "rooms" they had. They were extremely small, like closets, just 8 feet x 3 feet with a massage table in it. Thursday I stayed in most of the day due to the cold I had, but went out to SF just before dusk. Woodman joined me later in the night and we walked around a bit, only to run into Tall Man. By the way, he is definitely a tall man. Hung out with them and we each eventually went our separate ways. Typically ending with a girl, as expected. Well, the curtains over the large window are thin and my room faced the east towards the sunrise, which woke me up at the wrong time (daylight). Okay, the noise was bad too, as there was some loud construction going on at an adjacent building. I'd been out til 3 AM, so I had a hangover and with little sleep I was wrecked for most of that day. If I had stayed on the opposite side, I would not have had the sun shining directly into my room, but there is the noise from busy Carrera 10 to deal with. The Transmilenio runs directly down this one and the traffic is heavy here. This place needs some serious double pane glass and blackout drapes before I return. The free breakfast was okay but this is Colombia, so bring your own salsa with you if you want some flavor with your food. I can vouch for the convenience of the place to Santa Fe. Its just over five minutes walk with my long legs (though I do tend to walk fast at night in these kind of places). There is another nearby hotel that I've read great reviews of, Hotel Europa at calle 23 # 13-30. I will likely try it next time, if there is a next time (I was in Brazil last month and the standards for my hobby were raised somewhat). Otherwise, I might suggest staying up in Chapinero in a neighborhood you'd actually want to stay in, and just take a cab to Santa Fe since they are so cheap.

I stayed two nights at "Hotel San Francisco de Asis" .Biggest problem I had was the toilets are very small and close to the sink. Hard to reach around and wipe my butt. That is the situation in all of Colombia. The people are, on average, smaller. Toilets are always the smaller round seats, and not elongated. The toilet paper dispensers always take 6 inches of the stall away. Hard to wipe.
I had a room on the other side of the hotel, not too bad. Its economy, like a Motel 6. Location and Breakfast was one of the highlights.

Colombian food is almost a deterrent to entering the country for me. But, I don't consider Santa Fe to be "pussy paradise" compared to places I've visited in Thailand or Brazil (though the girls are certainly attractive and quickies are cheap). What I found tho, is it's easier if you have your hotel address written down for them.
I was hammered every night leaving Santa Fe and it saves times to just jump in the cab and give them the paper with the address on and away you go.
Sure, you can explain to them or tell them where you want to go, but if you give them the piece of paper there is no confusion and no problem. Simple.

The guy gives an awesome 2 hour coffee course. His own brand rates 86 internationally, which is right up there.
Great coffee, great course, great experience, about $20.
Or just go there and drink the coffee. Some of the best.
Some other good cafes around if you know what you want and where to look.
And plenty of rubbish coffee around mostly everywhere.

The two times I visited Colombia I didn't encounter any "gringos" on the plane, or in immigration. Yes, I would imagine Cartagena does get plenty of foreign visitors since the cruise ships halt there. Now that I think of it, I met a local couple who owned a flat in Cartagena and were renting it out at an exorbitant price (something that only foreign money could allow). But, I never went to Cartagena. Never went to Poblado when I was in Medellin, either.
My point was, however, to refute the asinine comment "it seems you have visited only the upper-class or gringo-Colombia" or that there is a "real Colombia" that I hadn't been to. The only Colombia I've visited was the Colombia where I got the passport stamps (see attached photos). Is there a different Colombia I should have gone to?

SGs $8-$15+.The Tall Man has spent more time in Tijuana and spent more money than I care to remember, primarily from 1999 through 2004, numerous visits each month for extended periods of time, then from about 2005 to 2015 probably once every other month, give or take, then in the past 4 years probably 2 or 3 visits each year. Many great memories but time changes all and now spend the vast majority of my time in Colombia and specifically Medellin where I call my home.
As Woodman points out the SF scene is literally 1000 times better than the Tijuana street scene. As point of reference comparing to the Medellin centro street scene which I spent 7 hours yesterday in the Vera, Raudal and Botero Plaza areas, the SF / Bogota is just as strong over Medellin, better to say than it beats it hands-down in every regard.
Cost. Yes you can get a hot HK chica but going rate is now $80 to $100 USD for 30 minutes, give or take, a few weeks back I got a stunning 21 yo Venezuelan who could be a teenage model for abercrombie and fitch for 70 mil in one of the big clubs (Troya), that's the equivalent of about $25. USD, you do the math evaluation.
The street girls, some just as cute and youthful, are had for 30 mil to 40 mil for 20 minutes or so. That is $12. USD.
The ONLY issue that I have with SF is that it is geard strictly to the "wham bamn your done in twenty minutes" business model, I like the more subtle and easy going P4 P with some level of interaction with the chica.

I did the usual when I'm here but I tried to venture to some new spots.

This is a usual for me but it's worth mentioning. There are 20 chicas. And I found an 18 year old Venezuelan with a bubble butt, pretty face with braces. I definitely recommend trying this place out. Especially for 35 k.

This is a new area I ventured to. It has been mentioned before on the forum. There are street walkers in about 4 block radius of those cross streets. A lot are standing near hotel or bar entrances. All were above their prime. I would estimate late 20's and up and up. I asked one girl and she quoted me 40 k for 30 minutes. In my opinion not worth coming to the area especially when Sante Fe is a better option.

I went around 10:30 pm. I read and respect the opinions on this area. I honestly did not experience any of it though. I really didn't feel any danger at all. There was a small police presence outside and a gang of bouncers huddled together trying to get you to go to their clubs. There were tons of people on the streets. And none of them in the clubs. There were so many girls in the club just waiting for clientele. No lie, there are maybe 2-4 guys in each bar or club. Some clubs had 20+ girls in them. Every place I went into the girls would stand up and some would not allow me to leave blocking the entrance. All the places quoted the same prices 50 k for un rato or 15-20 minutes. The girl quality was just ok especially in comparison to what Sante Fe has. If you like girl next door, you can find some here. The girls look 18-25. There was one club on the other side of the street or fence (there is a fence in the middle of the street) called Riverside I think that was packed. It looked like a regular club so I didn't go over. But I do recommend you come down here because there is opportunity.
Sante Fe was the opposite. Extremely packed heavy police presence for some reason. Fiebre and Paisas were standing room only. There were more guys than girls but still alot of talent in the area. I had so much sex in the range of 40-80 k. It was a crazy night. I love this place.

Finished my trip, both good and bad. First of all, many thanks to Woodman, he is an awesome guide and gave many useful suggestions. And it is nice to meet Simon, and skinyCrazy though we didn't have the chance to meet.
Hotel, I stayed in hotel San Fransisco. It is walking distance to the SF scene and all major museums, mount Montserrat. It's half price of IBIS, and the room is okay, though it's little noisy and not so good breakfast. I don't think they have any trouble to bring a guest, though I didn't do it, but I did see some pretty chicas registered at the front desk.
Taxi, from airport to hotel costs 25,000. I didn't take the taxis who asked inside the terminal. Instead, I waited in the taxi line outside. When back to the states, from hotel to airport, the taxi charged 30,000. I have him 40,000 and he only returned back 5,000. So he just decided the tip by himself. Language, it's really necessary to speak Spanish. Only two Hotel staffs can speak English, and it's not very easy or feel good when eating and shopping. Especially it is hard to talk to the Chicas. And it is not that fun without enough language communication. I have been learning Spanish using Duolingo about 3 months. I was confident at least normal communication before I touched the ground. Actually it is far away from normal communication, I guess the people here speaks too fast, or I need learn more especially listening.
Experience and lessons, the SF scene is very good. Price and quality are much better than east Asia. Lessons are DON'T walk alone at night, take a taxi or walk with someone. And again have enough small bills, and have good Spanish.

BTW, does anyone know what will happen to the stolen iPhones. I guess it's not easy to hack the 6 digits pin. Do they have a tool can crack it? Or just take it into parts to sell? In addition, Apple two factors authorization is really annoying. I wanted to remotely erase my iPhone, but can't do it without the phone verification. Come on, my phone is robbed then how I can get the SMS message.

There's some lessons to be learned.
1. Your wallet should never leave the hotel room safe. Nobody in Colombia needs to see anything in your wallet, except the money.
2. iPhone X costs roughly what poor people in Bogota spend on rent for 6-8 months. It would be much happier keeping your wallet company in the hotel room safe. Buy a cheap unlocked phone, get a local SIM card and carry that. It's probably smaller, easier to carry in your front pocket, and if it gets broken, lost or stolen, you're out $100 or less.
3. Too many people are better than not many people, especially in areas like Santa Fe at night.
4. If you're meeting someone, set up a contingency plan. Know where they will be, if they aren't where you expect. This is where the cheap phone with a local SIM card comes in handy. You can get a message or a call out to the person you're meeting. No missed meetings because of cell phone signal.
You pointed out something else that is worth talking about. The hardest part about communicating in Spanish is understanding the natives. Spanish apps, or even Spanish schools, speak slowly and enunciate clearly. They don't teach local slang or colloquialisms. They also don't prepare you for different accents.
5 words that will come in handy, especially if you know a lot of the vocabulary: "habla mas despacio por favor. " Which means "please talk slower. " If you understand many of the words, but not quite enough to get the meaning, try: "no entiendo. Que es (whatever word you don't know). " In English, "I don't understand. What is. ".
Most people will be sympathetic and helpful, if you're making an effort to speak the language, unless they just stole your iPhone X.

But, it easy to get confused, both establishments starting with "Chicas" and directly opposite from each other. I visited both last Labor Day weekend. Milenio was the place where they tried to fleece me last Labor Day Weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if their chicanery caught up with them. There is just too competition to run a shady operation. 2000 is the humble place, with a nice guy named William out front. I wouldn't be surprised if it remains there for a while, as long as they run a good, straight-forward business.
Yes, that area of Chapinero is great for the density of casas located there. However, I found out in one place that you do sometimes get what you pay for (very little). Not much else of interest in that neighborhood unless you are shopping for pet supplies, power tools or building materials.

I really didn't feel any danger at all.That's the thing. Like I said in the past, Primer de Mayo doesn't look that dangerous in appearance alone but it's the MOST dangerous nightlife area in Bogota. It looks safe because there are groups of people in their nightclub clothes, many of them go to the normal night clubs on the street and the other ones go to the gayclubs in which there are many (both of which (normal night clubs and gay clubs are safer inside). Do not go alone and even that isn't enough sometimes. There are groups of 3 guys or more who are walking around looking for victims to steal from and they carry knives and believe me, they aren't afraid to use it. And that fence in the middle you mentioned? That fence is new. It wasn't there 3 months ago. Want to know why they put it up? It's because so many people were getting robbed and the thieves would sprint away from people and police and run away across the street so now there is a divider so they would have to stay on the same side of the street. If you don't believe me look up that street on google maps and the fence will not be there. You also aren't even safe in the clubs. 2 weeks ago I placed 100 k cash in my pocket so that I didn't have to bring my wallet. I remember the waiter getting really close to me and asking me questions that had no point to them and when I got out of the club, I realized he somehow pickpocketed me but I had no evidence. Mongers / clients get drugged with the devil's breath drug by the waiters or the chicas when they are inside. This happened twice to my friends in the past 3 months. One of them was robbed, and beaten by the waiters in Pasarela club because he wanted to come back in the club and get it back. The other one was drugged in another chica club and only recalls being brought to a secluded room in the club with a chica and the waiter yelling at him to give him the pin number to this debit card. He recalls giving him a fake number but might have given him the real pin when he was "out of it" thanks to the drug they gave him because there was a 100 k withdrawal that day on his card. Funny thing is that he went back with other friends and is negotiating to buy his watch back from them since they said they already sold his phone. They don't admit to robbing him but they said that he was so drunk that he bought 4 bottles and was with 4 girls and he didn't have the money to pay for it so they took his things for collateral. Please. The other case was in Pasarela club and that case is still open, they deny ever taking anything and the manager refuses to show the camera footage inside to the police because there was a "passcode error". And the local police are just as corrupt because they literally get paid by the club managers / owners so that the clubs can stay open all night (6:00 am). So the police will not help you against the club thieves but will help you against the street thieves if you're a woman or old person. They don't really care enough to chase down criminals (risking their lives) so that a man can get back his phone but they would for a woman.
These clubs are very dangerous because the dosage of the drug can be deadly. In the first case, the waiter drugged my friend with the right amount since he doesn't recall anything inside the club. He only remembers being outside because of the cold wind and the pushes and punches he was receiving from the waiters. The other time, the dosage was a bit less since my other friend recalled being inside in the room being asked these questions and had the willpower to lie about the pin number after they took everything from him (cash, watch and phone). These waiters drink a lot as well and get drunk during the night so there is a chance that they might give you too much of the dosage of the drug, and THAT can literally kill you. And who will know? They can put you in the back and they control who sees the cameras.
So if you decide that you have to go to el primer de mayo then tread lightly.

Trip report for the first few days in Bogota: The first night, I connected with Woodman09 for a 4 hour tour of Santa Fe. First, let me say that this was money very well spent. He knows the place inside and out. We visited about 8 clubs. The standout club was Troya, but several of the clubs had great girls and live action in the club. When I say live action, I mean girls totally nude rubbing their pussies on the faces of the guys right next to me. Pretty much full on nasty. I took one girl from Troya and one girl from the street. Woodman09 waited patiently for me while I was sessioning with the girls.
I would not recommend going to Santa Fe alone. I've been in some sketchy places in SE Asia, but a night in Santa Fe felt much more likely to end with a knife attack or a mugging. Just contact Woodman09. His guide service is much cheaper than losing a phone or losing a limb. He's great company, too. I'm afraid I'm not the raucous party sort of guy and I like long GFE sessions, so Santa Fe didn't work that well for me, but again, if you want tons of choice, a loud drunken party atmosphere, and 20 minutes of heaven for the lowest price I've ever seen anywhere in the world, then Santa Fe with Woodman09 could be paradise to you. Very glad I had the experience.
Overall, the Santa Fe clubs are insanely loud and the sessions are the wham-bam 20 minute variety. Not to my liking. The girls are very hot, but I need an hour to really enjoy myself. Maybe when I was 19 and only had pennies to spend, I would have thought Santa Fe was paradise. The street girls are 35 K ($12 US) and the club girls are 70 k ($25 US). Yep. That cheap.
During the daytime, I went to Abadubai Spa. It is on the second floor up a set of exterior stairs with a green leaf sort of design on it. It looks like a proper spa, and the girl who explained the service was dressed in a white nurses uniform. She took me into a room, unzipped her outfit, showed me her lingerie clad body, then called the other girls in for a lineup. These were the best looking girls I've seen in Bogota so far. Gorgeous. About 6 girls. All 9/10. I ended up picking the first girl. She was great. Only complaint was the covered BJ, but the service was very good otherwise. Very GFE with plenty of enthusiastic DFK. Price was 180 k for the hour.
Also went to Lalos, right across from B3 Virrey hotel. Pretty slim pickings. Only about 10 girls. Very quiet with only 2 other guys. No stripping or club atmosphere. Just 10 girls sitting quietly. Also went to the Mezzanine. I stuck my head in each of the places, said "Buenos Dias", then after scoping out the talent, said "Uno Momento", and skipped on to the next one. I think I went to 5-6 of them. Ended up at the one at the very end. Found a girl that suited my fancy. I would say the girls were mostly 6-7/10. My girl was about an 8/10, super enthusiastic and very GFE, so I was very happy with my choice and got her number for later. The rooms are insanely tiny. Literally about 28" wide and 6 feet long. Trying to not fall off of the 18" wide "bed" required acrobatic maneuvering. If you are at all claustrophobic, you wouldn't be able to go here. Seriously! Smallest "rooms" I've ever seen. I mean, are you all competing to see which one can get robbed, drugged or beaten the most often in the Primer de Mayo area? You tell everyone to avoid the area, but it appears you and your friends go there every chance you get.
What's the attraction? Why go back, again and again to a place where, according to your reports, one of you is practically guaranteed to get robbed? I can understand going once, but after so many bad experiences, why do you keep going back?

Finished my trip, both good and bad. First of all, many thanks to Woodman, he is an awesome guide and gave many useful suggestions. And it is nice to meet Simon, and skinyCrazy though we didn't have the chance to meet.
Hotel, I stayed in hotel San Fransisco. It is walking distance to the SF scene and all major museums, mount Montserrat. It's half price of IBIS, and the room is okay, though it's little noisy and not so good breakfast. I don't think they have any trouble to bring a guest, though I didn't do it, but I did see some pretty chicas registered at the front desk.
Taxi, from airport to hotel costs 25,000. I didn't take the taxis who asked inside the terminal. Instead, I waited in the taxi line outside. When back to the states, from hotel to airport, the taxi charged 30,000. I have him 40,000 and he only returned back 5,000. So he just decided the tip by himself. I would like to repeat Woodman's suggestion, have enough small Bills, so they don't take the advantage.

Trip report for the first few days in Bogota: The first night, I connected with Woodman09 for a 4 hour tour of Santa Fe. First, let me say that this was money very well spent. He knows the place inside and out. We visited about 8 clubs. The standout club was Troya, but several of the clubs had great girls and live action in the club. When I say live action, I mean girls totally nude rubbing their pussies on the faces of the guys right next to me. Pretty much full on nasty. I took one girl from Troya and one girl from the street. Woodman09 waited patiently for me while I was sessioning with the girls.

Ok. So I went to Abadubai yet again yesterday morning. Only two girls to choose from, Maria and Vicki. Vicki was in prior lineups for me, and didn't want her to think I was going to reject her yet again, so went with Vicki. Again, great experience. Maybe it is just Colombianas in general, or maybe it is the higher pay and classier surroundings, but these Abadubai girls just completely embrace the "girlfriend" experience. This morning I went back AGAIN to Abadubai and had a repeat session with Brianna. Since she had bugged me on WhatsApp for a repeat, I thought I would see how much value I could receive. I negotiated a 60 minute session with DFK, DATY, covered FS, prostate massage with both fingers and toy, and BBBJ / CIM for a total of 260 K ($78). Followed that with a decent massage and hot shower. Total visit 90 minutes. Batting a 1000.

I had tried Lalo's directly across the street from B3 Virrey hotel earlier in the week and was not impressed with the small and minor league lineup, so tonight I started with El Padrino. Even with a 3% Card surcharge, it would be cheaper to pay by Card than risk the Waiter pocketing 10 K, 20 K or more.

Any place has to charge VAT of 19%, but in a commun restaurant or bar the listed prices allready include VAT. In these place you can't speak to the manager, which is another red flag. I assume so. The best approach to take would be walk to each of the mirrored doors, stick your head in and look at the girls, keep repeating until you have found the girl you like. Do a short session with her in the cramped room as a trial run. If you are happy, then get her number and WhatsApp her later for a visit to your hotel. I think pretty much any working girl in Bogota would be happy to come to your room. It's safer and cleaner than any venue and she will get to keep all of the money rather than share it with the venue.
With regards to the tax "scam", the beer was 37. He charged me 49. That would be a 33% tax. Sounds like BS to me. Probably thought I couldn't do math. I would have made a bigger scene and demanded the overage returned, but I know myself well enough to know that it would get my adrenaline pumping and I'the be pisses off for the rest of the night. Better to lose $3 and call it a "fucking ripoff" to his face and calmly leave. At least the girls know why they didn't have any work that evening.

This makes perfect sense to me. Lalo appears to be on its last leg. The major difference in my mind (and with a mere one week of experience) between the northern clubs and Santa Fe is safety. The girls are pretty much just as hot in both places, although I did get a general vibe that the northern girls are, on average, a notch higher on the social scale and a notch or two more intelligent. Case in point, my girl from La Piscine del Norte was very intelligent in conversation and obviously educated. I doubt she would risk her own safety going to Santa Fe when she can lounge in a classier joint uptown with classier customers. The price premium isn't huge if you are planning an hour rather than a quickie, but the pushy waitstaff and tax "scam" is going to scare off customers like me. If Santa Fe were "safe", I would skip the northern clubs altogether, and tolerate the less refined but equally attractive girls of Santa Fe. If I owned a Santa Fe club like Troya, I would just start a limo / taxi service direct from your hotel to my club with door to door bodyguard service, eliminating the safety factor.
Thanks for the update on these clubs. Regarding what happened to your bill, they all do the same. I complained in Lido and they showed me that in very small at the bottom is written that you have to add 19% VAT. These clubs just don't get it with their army of pushy waiters. Prices of the girls became unsane in the last years while in the rest of the city talent was growing with the Venezuelan influx. As a result, a club as Lalo that used to have the greatest line-up of the city is now desperately empty. If they don't react, they will close or become a ripp off joint for the ocasional visitor. Trouble is that even the ocasional visitor knows where to get better options thanks to internet. So i gess most of these places will die in the next coming years.
If you don't like the shady atmosphere of Santa Fe which is understandable, a good alternative to the northern clubs is la 49. Safety, facilities, service and line-up is as good if not better as in the northern clubs, waiters are not pushy, do not try to ripp off with the drinks. Even if it's also pricy, at least it's a fixed price scheme to go to the room and as a gringo you will be better off here than in the northern clubs where they will try to double the prices with tourists. I discussed once with the manager of La 49, which is a green flag that the guy is close to his business, hs a long term view (it's probably one of the oldests club of Bogota), interracts with the customers and cares about customer satisfaction.

Greetings all,
I have been in Bogota the past week and enjoying the scenery (even with the rain last week). Started off the week at Ibis Hotel and eventually made my way up to Zona Rosa (Hotel B3 Virrey) for the weekend. Both hotels are guest friendly. On Thursday I saw a guy sign in a guest at Ibis in the middle of the day, shamelessly, in front of everyone. Whoever you are. Respect.
Last week SF was pretty good. I'm not one for the streetie sweeties so I spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night going back and forth between Troya, Paisas, Fiebre, etc. As continuously reported by everyone else, the quality is pretty great. Usually at least 20 girls in each place. I personally prefer Troya because the waiters are less aggressive and the quality of girls is generally pretty high. The overall highest quality IMO is at Fiebre late night. It seems everyone flocks there and unless you pay for a table there's only standing room. This was the case even on a Tuesday night. Prices are pretty standard across the board. Expect to pay 70 k /20 min regardless of which club you're in. Also expect one of the cleaning ladies upstairs to ask you for a propina.
Friday I went up to Zona Rosa to enjoy the weekend and explore the traditional nightlife scene. Walked to Abudubai Spa and was very much impressed with the lineup. Laura was excellent - 180 k /1-hour all inclusive. As previous members have stated, the quality there is very high and I definitely recommend it. Walked to Mezzanine 14 as well and wasn't as enthused by what I saw and decided to pass on a massage there. The quality was 5-7 but I felt like I was being swarmed immediately as I walked up the stairs. It made the whole experience uncomfortable so I just walked away.
I spent the rest of the weekend actually going out in Zona Rosa. The nightlife on Friday and Saturday is pretty incredible. Started both nights off with a beer at Bogota Beer Company then went around to the 500 other bars in the area. I can't really recommend a specific one as they are all pretty good. If you're into dancing, music, and pretty girls then this is the place for you. I brought back a non-pro I met in one of the bars and had a great night. Don't be afraid to approach girls in groups of guys. It's pretty common for everyone to socialize here. If you don't speak Spanish then you better know how to dance / salsa. Unfortunately, I can do neither. I just got lucky.
I have one more week here and will be heading back down south tomorrow through Friday. Staying at Ibis again.
Safety: I was with friends in Zona Rosa but was alone in SF. Watch yourself around there and don't stay out too late on your own. Inside the clubs are safe, but don't get lost trying to wander around finding new places. My advice would be to stick to the main streets, and when in doubt only walk down busy streets. If you are walking back to your hotel from SF as I sometimes do keep one hand in your pocket, move with a purpose, and keep your head up. Once you reach the main streets outside SF there is generally military police or regular police presence. Every night I walked back to Ibis I saw military police on the main road going North-South. Once I saw them I knew I was good, but there's a 5-7 minute walk once leaving SF where you're moving at your own risk. When in doubt, take a taxi. *I'm a young, fit, black male so I'm not exactly the go-to target, therefore take this advice at your own risk*.
Language: I don't speak Spanish. I know the basic phrases to ask for beer, the check, and "how much. " Getting around isn't as hard as some make it. Either use your phone as a translator, find a waiter who speaks English (many do in SF), or wing it the best you can. Download an app (Google Translate) that does instant translations and you'll be fine.
Transportation: Ibis is about a 10-15 minute walk from SF depending on your pace. From Hotel B3 to Abudubai Spa it's about a 15-20 minute walk. 25-30 minutes to Mezzanine 14.10 minutes or less to the local clubs in Zona Rosa. I like walking but I've also used the Easy Taxi app. I didn't load my credit card info in there, just input your address like Uber but at the end of the ride pay in cash. I haven't had any issues with it so far.
Lastly, as much as I'd like to meet up with other members, I didn't get a membership before departing on this trip so I don't have the PM feature. My mistake. I recommend others get the membership in the future to avoid doing SF solo.

I'd recommend asking your doctor or going on line for alternates to Viagra.
I used to get a blocked nose from Viagra, never had an issue with Kamagra gel, or Cialis. Legit Cialis is OTC in Bogota pharmacies.

I have no idea where you are getting those directions. You need to search the Bogota FAQ thread (not this thread) for the "Bogota FAQ October 2018" post. It is exhaustively comprehensive and includes 3 links to Google maps for all of the P4 P destinations. Abadubai Spa is in the north near the upscale and safe nightlife area of Zona T, about a 30 minute Uber ride north of Candelaria. It is near Calle 77, not 11. Maybe you need reading glasses. The exact address is: Carrera 12a #77 a-25. That means on Carrera 12a, near the intersection with Calle 77.
