They may have quoted you at COP115.000. I don't think they have any rooms priced as high as COP150.000. I've stayed in their "penthouse" for COP125.000. Call back and verify.
I know that the prices have been raised by COP10.000 at the beginning of this year, meaning the standard room is COP105.000 plus taxes, in total under COP120.000. Therefore, the low-cost value isn't what it used to be, but it still isn't too bad, considering its location.
I've been dealing with them over the past 2 years, without any pricing rip-off types of things. Many of the folks that I have recommended there have had similar results. They're an honest, on-the-level bunch, all-around.
Fellows, I just got a daily quote of 150,000 pesos for Real Suite 85. Is that on the level or can you recommend a better place. I need immediate help, thanks.
I called back and the quote is 115,500 pesos. I think the first lady that I talked to had a problem pronouncing the numbers. So, I am booked for a week :-0)
Bogota Veterans, what are the top ten places to visit, location info. I will visit Atunes and albejita massage parlors for sure and which places can I take pictures? See you in Bogota.
I also stayed at Suites Real 85 for the 110.00 price back in December. Good staff, freindly, and helpful. Don't know how the weather is now in Bogota, but keep in mind the rooms do not have air conditioning. Back in December, it was nippy and cool.
200K for 90 minutes with an independent is way high, even for Zona Rosa. CBJ is a mjor bummer for me. Gotta charm them and convince them you are clean, but some are strict (Hate that). Also, you have to bargain man, this is Colombia.
I like Hamilton Court too but it is getting so popualr you have to reserve quite a bit in advance.

I just returned from my first trip to Colombia, where I traveled to Bogota, Cartagena, and Barranquilla. I must say that the trip was wonderful and I WILL return. I will start my trip report saying that I'm Asian and I speak Spanish fairly fluently.
I took the Delta flight into BOG and arrived around 930pm. Cleared customs and a lady that I met on the plane ride there offered to give me a ride my hotel (Suites Real 85). If I didn't get the ride, I did see the area after exiting the doors of the airport and to the right where I would get an official taxi with the pre-quoted price.
Suites Real 85 was a very nice place in a great location. I highly recommend the place, like many other people on the forum, for first-timers. The hotel is fairly secure. I got a single room for 105.000 COP + 10% tax per night. Price is same whether you use a credit card or cash. My room was on the fourth floor of five. The higher up the room, the "bigger" bed, but worse the water pressure (hot water pressure on the fourth floor was very weak). It seemed that the fourth floor has queen sized bed, 3rd floor had full sized bed, and the 2nd floor had two double beds. I didn't venture up to the fifth floor.
The same evening (Saturday), I walked (5-10min) to the area near Centro Comerical Andino for dinner (I felt very safe and there were plenty of people around). In that area is a Citibank (not updated in the citibank website), where I subsequently took money out the next morning. I went to a salsa club called "Latinos" for the evening. Walked back to Suites Real at 4am by myself without any issues.
The next morning (Sunday), I first went to CC Andino to get a SIM Card with ComCel (Sunday is the day of rest, so most stores are closed, except for the stores in the malls). The price of the SIM card was 20,000 COP + IVA); they wanted a copy of my passport and another form of ID (which I didn't have). I had to pay another 1000 COP for a photo to go with my application.
Later in the day, I went to Monserrate and walked around the Candelaria. That morning is when I met Jose, the unofficial driver of Suites Real 85. He is a good man who is "safe" and "trust-worthy," because you'll never know where the random taxi driver may take you. I do recommend him to drive you where you want to go, but later on I just figured out how to take the Transmillenio and those mini-buses.
I arranged for Jose to meet me the following day (Monday) around 245pm to go to the Barrio Santa Fe. I met some local guys who thought that area was "dangerous." So I decided to check it out during the day, and I had Jose drive me around the blocks about 3 times to give me the layout. I asked Jose about how the P4P works. Unfortunately, Jose is not very familiar with how it works and gave me very misleading information. I explain how I found it work.
Jose dropped me off in front of La Piscina (what turns out to the exit; or entrance for employees) ~315pm, and I rang the doorbell (because Jose said that is way to go in). The guy who opened the door looked at me funny and asked me what I wanted. I thought, "Maybe this is the ploy that is used to only let people in who knew the password or something." I told the man that I want to enter inside to the Piscina. He told me that it was closed and that open at 4pm. He said that I can go to the daytime version of Piscina which was just down the street.
Well, that is what I did. I went to the daytime Piscina, and there were maybe about 7 guys and an equal amount of girls there. I stayed for a drink. Bottled beer (Consten~a and Aquila) were 2000 COP each, canned beers is much more expensive (5000 COP for Club Colombia). After watching a strip-show for a little bit, I decided to leave and walk around Barrio Santa Fe, to check out the other places while it was still daylight.
I walked around and into a whole bunch of places... and unfortunately they were MOSTLY empty. The were ones that had a substantial amount of people (because I later found out that they were 'daytime' bars). Atunes and Venus Show Bar had plenty of people there. There is no cover for entering any of these places, but as you walk in, people will start hounding to buy drinks. I would tell them I wanted to walk around and if I stay, I'll certainly buy a drink.
Thinking back, I probably should have stayed at Atunes for a drink, since there were plenty of girls around. But I was set to have an experience at La Piscina. I eventually left and walked to La Pisicina (not the daytime one). Entered there around 445p and had a seat. There were about 10 girls there, which only about 7-9 guys there. I ordered a beer (2000 COP). The girls in any of the places will just sit there and talk to their friends until you wave them over.
Because it is obvious that I'm not Colombian, nor the typical tourist from the US, I attracted a lot of attention (actually anywhere I went in Bogota). Soon I waved a girl over. We had reasonable conversation, she said that she was 18 (she didn't look 18.. more like 23) and originally from Medellin (I think that it is a typical line the girls use; it seemed everyone was from Medellin). I would say that she was a 6 out of 10, which beautiful bluish eyes, fair skin and black hair. She didn't have the best body, but her face was beautiful. I offered her a drink and she gets a Red Bull (14000 COP), goddamn it. Well... eventually we started to talk about a session. She opened with 60.000 and 10.000 for the room for ~20 minutes. 60k was the price that has been listed on this website, but I still thought about it for a while. I said that since it is early, I'm offering 50k for the girl and 10k for the room. She quickly agreed (maybe I could have offered 40k?). We discussed the rules: she doesn't give BBBJ, and she wouldn't kiss on the lips.
We went upstairs (seemed like Tijuana, Mexico) except the rooms are directly upstairs (no need to exit outside first like in TJ). Prior to going uptairs, I paid the house 60k (50k for girl, 10k for room). I had thoughts that maybe I should be paying the girl directly in the room AFTER the session, but it is my first time in Piscina so I didn't know what was the norm... oh well.
The session was okay (really weak in comparison to Rio, unforutnately). The act was fairly mechanical, but she did get me off. CBJ and cowgirl. She did kiss me on the lips with some mild tongue action. Somewhat satified (considering I spent around 30 USD$), I walked around Barrio Santa Fe some more. It is now night time around 7pm.
I walked into La Paisa bar, and there was about 20-30 girls there with an equivalent number of men. I sat down and ordered a bottle of beer (2000 COP). I was eventually approached by this blond girl (older) from Medellin (of course) who asked if she could sit next to me. I said sure and she said if she can order a beer (I figured it was better than a Red Bull, because if she did, I would have kicked out). The girl's beer was 2000 COP as well (not jacked up because it was a chica's beer (like in TJ). She gave a good pitch, and she offered a session with her (20 min) for 20k + 5k for the room. Not realizing that this was a normal price for Paisas, I agreed... (I thought the norm in the area was 60k). The session was worse that the last one (I guess I'm spoiled by Rio), but then again it was about 11 USD to get off.
I asked the bouncers to get me a safe taxi (~9pm) and they did that, I got safely back to Suites Real 85 (8000 COP).
Unfortunately, I didn't have much other experience with other mongering places, because I made friend with locals and I subsequently would meet up with them every night for dinner and drinks, etc. During the day, I would do touristy things like Catedral de Sal in Zipaquira, Museo de Oro, Botero expocision, shopping in Unicentro/Andino. I reallyed wanted to visit Salon La Fortaleza, abejitas, or Angelicales, but I'll have to wait until my next trip.
I left for Cartagena on Thursday evening, and I'll post my experience in Cartagena in that section.
Overall, I had a great time in Bogota. Mostly because I made some great friends in Bogota who showed me around and introduced me to many of their friends and colleagues.
Other thoughts:
1) I was on guard at all times when I walked through Barrio Santa Fe, however, I never felt in danger. I think it is imporant that the first timers go at least while there is still daylight to get a feel of the layout. The area gets hopping after 8pm and later. I hear that it gets really wild after 11-12am, and the next time I'm there, I'll be sure to go later in the evening.
2) A safety tip that was given to me by a friend in Bogota. Always call for a taxi. Do NOT hail one off the street (although you'll probably be fine, but it isn't worth it). IF you HAVE TO hail one off the street, take out your cell phone and call your friend (or pretend to call a friend). Say in Spanish, "Hey Juan, I'm getting into a taxi now, the license plate is ABJ-334, when I get to my hotel, I'll give you a call to let you know that I'm safe, okay?"

I opened my laptop to see if there were any WiFi connections, and there was one that was not "locked" but the connection was too poor to surf the web.
They do have one computer that offers internet access (free), but I couldn't get gmail to work on it (using their version of IE). I think I was able to check my hotmail account though.

I am thinking about visiting Bogota for afew days,i would like to know,if the hotels in Bogota have a problem with bringing girls back to your room?,becouse when i was in Rio it was a big problem,is it the same in Bogota?
Also can anyone recommed any good cheap hotels nearby the airport,that would not have a problem with girls coming to your room.

They're cool old ladies. I got the funny eye a couple of times (LOL!!!), but nothing to it. The security guys and Jose always have a chuckle over it. Pay them no mind. They'll all still help you out in the best way possible. And NEVER a guest fee.
In this manner, most of Colombia is not like the Rio hotels. There are other plenty of places besides Suites Real with the same policy.

They'll all still help you out in the best way possible. I absoutely agree. Those two old ladies (one of them wears way too much perfume) are so nice and endearing. They always had the best interest in mind for me. they always gave me tips about how to stay safe. gave me good directions etc. the whole staff was great and a big reason why I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Jose the main security guy was very nice too.
Please note: that I didn't get a chance to bring any girls back, so I never had to face their wrath ;)
it has a great location. rooms are comfortable and similar in size and configuration as an embassy suites in the us . suite real 85 is five minutes to abejitas zona rosa (directions below). the hotel is girl friendly (they ring you up when she arrives and they check the girl's docs to insure safety). suites real 85 has an independent driver (jose?)who can to pick you up at the airport on your arrival upon request, and take you around during your visit (highly recommend it) although don't expect much info from him on girls except perhaps the location of places such as piscina. the hotel is walking distance to two shopping centers with movie theaters, and restaurants.
you will be close to the zona rosa where there is a pedestrian street with many bars and restaurants (very active on thrusday through saturdays).
directions to abejitas from suites real 85 (it's about an 8 minutes walk): as you come out of the hotel walk to the right towards the large avenue there you take a right. then you walk until you see the carulla supermarket on the right side of the road (about four minute walk - carulla is open 24 hours and it is a great place to stock your room's mini fridge). take a right onto the street just past the carulla immediately crossing the street then take the first street on the left. on this street you will walk to short blocks and take a right onto the second street; there walk less than a block. enter the open door and climb stairs. (there is a small sign at the window which i think reads "masajes or therapistas".

I don't do SWs (personal preference), but I can pass along what I know.
You can find SWs on Cra 15 north of Cll 85, around the area of the rip-off bars (Casanova, Xtasis, Copacabana) on 86 or 87. There's generally a few around during the time the bars are open at night, or in the little fast food joints on 15 around the corner.
Also, you can get lucky waiting until those bars are closed, and picking up the girls who are headed out. Just wait on the corner, as they can get in trouble by their club for picking up clients outside the establishment.
Otherwise, as mentioned, there's Barrio Sante Fe. Be on alert, both for your personal effects as well as the actal sex of the SW.
I would NOT recommend the SWs on Av. Caracas around the Chapinero aera, as those I've passed in my taxi appeared to be TVs. Be very careful down there.

Last year I was visiting family friends in the North section and outside their win dow and this is a high class redidencial area there were TV SW. The addy of my friend place is not important since I assume noone here is the least bit interested in Girly boys. But they are in the Norte sector as well.

Hope that is Colombian pesos. At the current rate 60K is about US$24.
Based on my experience in the streets of Medellin, I'm guessing that the price will range from 15K on up.

Assuming these were streetwalkers, I hope you laughed and kept walking. In Colombia, the national currency is the Colombian peso. Either a joke or a silly attempt at gringo pricing.

These girls were pretty hot and many of the guys in the club were wearing suits. I will post photos later (in Brazil.) I would not come if you cannot speak Spanish; however, if you can (and well) it is a gold mine!!

The girls are hit or miss depending on the day you visit. I would advise you head over to Atunes or La Casona. They have the best bang for your buck as far as the girls are concern IMHO.

Just got into Bogota today and love it already. Much better scene than Cartagena. I visited "supermasajes" as I saw on a list of massage parlors. Cra. 11 No. 79-35. No markings on the entrance other than the address.
6 girls work there. 25,000 COP gets you a massage with a happy ending. 20,000 extra for BJ and 20,000 extra to touch the woman. I went with the basic 25k price and wasn´t disappointed. Their flyer says that 14 women work there, but staff told me only 6 did. Hours are noon to 8pm. Based on a sign encouraging the use of condoms, I expect they´re required for BJ. Doesn´t bother me. I prefer it that way.
I headed to La Piscina towards dusk and didn´t feel that it was a threatening environment. I would gladly return to sample the goods.
While on Av. Caracas I came across a series of touts passing out flyers for clubs. There are 3 on a single block: Av Caracas 66-09 (flyer says 5 servicios x 20.000. 18 - 23 años), Anonimas Bar -- Av Caracas 66-80 (flyer says 5 servicios x 15.000. orgipiñatas shows lesbian trios y mucho mas), Av Caracas 66-67 (lindas universitarias).

After seeing some museums yesterday I took a short walk (20 or 30 minutes) down Calle 22 to Conrrado Red Light District.
I went into Atones at around 5pm and saw maybe 7 women there. Had a few drinks and chatted with Angela from Cali. We couldn´t hear each other over the music and were forced to write our conversation out on paper. We agreed to a 20 min session for 50,000 pesos (45 for her, 5 for the room). I said 20 mins wasnt enough and she said 10 extra minutes would be no problem as a gift.
Turned out to be a crappy experience. She wasted some time trying to talk. We barely got to the sex when there was a knock on teh door. There was no way that was 20 minutes. She told me the time was up and i had only 5 mins more. Needless to say I was pissed that she lied.
Took off as soon as possible. And they kept trying to stall me by not giving me change for my drinks. I was pissed at the way the staff was trying to milk me for money. I´d think twice before going back. On the plus side, I noticed more was happening on my way out. More girls were there and a strip show was in progress.
I had a great time afterwards at Piscina and had a good session with Lola for 50,000. Lots of women, but not many shows going on.
Copa airlines changed around my return flight from Cartagena in August and now they are flying me to Bogota and giving me a hotel for the night then flying out the next day to Panama. I don't know which hotel I will be at yet, but I will be there from about 9 pm to about 10 am the next day. What kind of mongering options do i have?

$BillYes I know. Sorry just a little laziness on my part. I suppose it would help if I knew where I was staying as the airline has yet to let me know. But I have time. In all of Colombia I have only studied Cartagena, Cali and Medellin. So I didn't know if there was one major spot in Bogota. A ground zero for mongering so to speak. But once I know where I'm staying I can figure out where I can go.

Stay in Zona Rosa. It's close to all the action and there is a 24Hr Grocery store just in case you need anything (i.e, Beer, Condoms, Food). Parque 93 et al are just a 5 to 10 mins walk depending on how fast you walk.

Can you guys give me scoop on Bogota's nightlife? I am looking for Buenos Aires/Montreal like nightlife with cool lounges/clubs, bottle service, and well dressed people. What are weeknights like?
I was not impressed with Medellin at all in that regard. Is Bogota have more cosmopolitan? Finally how does P4P in Bogota compared to Medellin (not in terms of $ but rather in terms of quality).

Chapinero to Zona Rosa is about 15 minutes if you get the right cab driver. Abejitas is on the edge of the Zona Rosa about 2 blocks off La T pedestrian walkway. Don’t recall the FS price – been about a years since I was there. Sorry.

In terms of cosmo-type lounges/bars, Medellin does not compare. Just check out Zona Rosa and Parque 93 in Bogota.
Zona Rosa discos usually have a younger crowd (18+). Parque 93 has a couple of those places too, but generally 20-30 somethings in the cosmo setting surrounding the park. Both places are way more sophisticated for partying than Parque Lleras or La 33, 70 in Medellin.

Bogota is the main international hub for Colombia. Therefore, many more foreigners are seen in Bogota (the capital) than any other Colombian city. From Chapinero (students) to Zona Rosa and Parque 93 (embassy folks, business folks, military contractors, ex-pats, tourists, etc.). Gringos who are living or working Bogota are generally more successful with non-pros, as they have a bonafide reason for being there, and they will be there past one weekend or one month. Therefore, there can be a 2nd or 3rd date. Gringo sex tourists only stand out there when they open their mouths and....have nothing interesting to say...in Spanish or English. Colombian chicks aren't as stupid as some guys seem to think.
The upscale crowd don't need your money, nor do some need the hassle of miscommunication. Therefore, carry yourself like South Beach or Las Vegas. Feel free to try to impress with money. LOL!!!! They've seen many gringos before, as they are more worldly than the paisas. You want to impress them, have your conversation and dance (salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, electronica) game tight.
In my opinion and vast experience, P4P is much cheaper in Bogota than many of the other Colombian cities. Main reason, more options. Non-pro options are definitely possible, I can vouch to that as well.

Medellin Bob and myself just had a great 2 night stay in Bogota (well Medellin Bob did, I drank 4 bottles of Caldas Rum the first night so didnt see the light of the next day, its a pitty to because I had a stripper to take out to dinner that I met at one of the places, she was just dancing and going from club to club) and great to see the many Paisa´s there working from Medellin.

I was briefly in Bogota a few weeks ago and I had an opportunity to check out the Santa Fe scene in Bogota a couple of times. Of the 3 clubs I visited "La Piscina de Dia," "El Castillo," and "La Piscina de Dia" I preferred "La Piscina de Dia." Pretty easy going atmosphere, drinks are cheaper, and the women are a bit more easy going. If I return, I would head to "La Piscina de Dia before 8pm, then walk over to "La Piscina." "El Castillo" has some very pretty women; however, they seemed a bit cold and the set-up of the club made it difficult to interact with the women there.

The COP's fallen a lot in the last few months. I'm sure they've got more interesting things to do than keep their site updated every time there's a change -- at least I would have, but that's rather like putting an alcoholic in charge of a brewery.

Closest hotal I know to the airport is Forte Travelodge Hotel Capital on El Dorado. Can't be more than 10 minutes from there, though I've never stayed.
Bit far from the action but if airport proximity is your main concern then go there and just grab a cab to where you fancy.

Bummer AA stopped the BAQ flight a few years back but word is they are going to resume service to CTG. Given the exponential increase in gringos going to CTG, it makes sense.

i checked it out when i was there in the end of june. it was a saturday afternoon and it was a bit busy, i walked up the stairs and the receptionist was a knockout, however she said i had no choice and the girl was doled out to me like a us amp. they tried to hit me for 150k!!!! i told them no and i still pais 120k which was not to bad considering i was getting 2,5oo cop per us$.

I have recently spent 2 days in Bogotá. I already knew the city: I've lived there for 2 years in the 80's and have made short travels on a regular basis.

I stayed in Suite Real 85, thanks to ISG. Good value: 115 kCOP for a small but nice suite). Well located, as most of my meetings where in this area.
Had very little time to monger, so I decided again to follow ISG's advices.
1) Casa Britania does not exist anymore (unless it has moved): I have been walking around and nothing looks like a place with girls.

4) The morning after, I had even less time before my flight. Went bak to the same place, and picked a girl in another "casa". Not such a good choice. She was Sandra, from Cali, 25; nice face, nice body (however far from Karen), but she seemed to be boring.
As a whole, a very nice experience: I am waiting for my next trip to Colombia to try something else (among others: non pros). As most of you say, everything is possible in this country.

My gf and I wanted to go to ADN Swingers Club last night. We got there around 11:40pm and were totally cockblocked at the door. I can't for the life of me figure out why. Couldn't find a single bona fide couple-oriented swinger place.
I know this is a tall order in any city on Earth in 2006, but does anybody know where the hell we went wrong? Do you have to really dress up or dress sexy to get in these places, what's the deal? LHR-MAD-BOG, 14 hours total on Iberia, says Expedia (a pretty good site for finding international flights that don't touch US soil). It's pretty much a straight shot, and not all that pricey.
Air France (via Paris) and Air Canada (via Toronto) will also do it for you, but it'll be longer and more expensive.

What's the whole deal with "couples night" in Bogota on Saturday nights? Was with a couple of buddies, just wanted to try out a couple of non-pro places on a Saturday, before hooking up with some chica friends of mine. We were well-dressed, LOL!!! Still got turned away, as it was...couples night. Had to be with a lady, and even then, there was a cover. The nerve of these motherfuckers!!!

My first time in Bogota I stayed there thinking it was the other one and it cost about US$60/night but it appeared to be of the same quality.
They are located downtown. Only 4,000 peso taxi ride from Santa Fe. You could actually walk but I would not recommend it. The taxis from the airport to the hotel always want 15,000 pesos but I always get them down to 11,000.

I think it's kind of fucking stupid you have to get all dressed up when the clothing is going to come off soon enough anyways. Generally I go all over Bogota the same way I go all over NYC and Miami, nice shirt, black Chinese pants, black sneakers. I HATE not wearing sneakers. Actually if I'm just out on the street I wear a T-shirt and shorts because I was raised in Canada and to me 50 farenheit is still beach weather!

I am going to Bogota on Oct. 9th to meet my friend and her realitor friend to look at three bedroom apartments for rent during that week.
I am looking for suggestions on good, fun parts of the city to find a nice three bedroom apt to steer her. I don't care if it's busy or noisey. I just want a really nice place close to bars and night life that is really safe.

I would recommend Galerias. It is very close to everything, noisy, but nice and relatively safe. There are also parts of Chapinero that are nice and reasonable but some of it is a little dicey. Hopefully you can see a place before you put your money down, this will tell you all you need to know, especially if you go at night!

You could just get an apartment real close. There are tons of clubs right on calle 118 from the autopista (where the Transmilenio stops) east. It will be more expensive and 'tranquil', but there's hardly a lack of nightlife, and from there you are only a short jaunt away from Usaquen where there are MORE clubs :P

Check the classifieds in the El Tiempo from bogota, you can find hundreds of apartments for 200.00 to 300.00 per month. Evrything is cheap here for apartments. Make sure you bargain with these people, because they mark everything up at least 50 percent. Bargain with these suckkers.

That's 6 bucks an hour! Out of which the driver has to pay gas, and sometimes the hire of the taxi too. Could you survive on that? We're happy to pay the girls $100+/hour!
If the driver's been straight with you, why not cut him some slack and give him a decent tip. He'll be very grateful, trust me.
12K is less than US$5.00 per hour. I'm happy to pay the girls US$6 to US$40 per hour. This is Colombia.
The taxistas are happy for the business and do not expect tips. I do tip for extra services and bag handling. One or two K is a nice tip.

I don't want to get in an argument. I simply stand by my statement. No local would pay more than 12k an hour to hire a car, therefore neither would I. When to tip and how much is largely a personal matter, but it is not something taxistas anywhere in Latin America expect.
My philosophy is to pay what the locals pay, no more, no less. Sex in Bogota can be had from as little as 5k all the way up to a million or more per call. The former is a lot less pleasant and more risky than most of us would want, the latter is out of my price range. I'd imagine most of us are going to fall somewhere in the middle.

Visiting Bogota for the 1st time next week for work (maybe a few days in Cartagena too). I'm an experienced monger in other parts of the world, but no habla Espanol. By reading your Bogota reports, it seems that without speaking Spanish, it'll be quite a challenge to manage the club and pick up scene. I can't use my work associates that I'll be meeting in Bogota, since word would get back to the home office, or worse.

I have been to Medellin several times but I am getting ready to move to Bogota to take Spanish classes for a few months in November. I fly out for a week this Monday to find an apartment.
My question is about the main differences between the girls in Bogota vs Medellin for people who have been to both.
I have limited Spanish speaking skills but have always had lots of luck with the nonpros in Medellin. I have heard that the Medellin girls are snobby but I haven't run into that although I know it's all relative.

Bogota is like any big city. A little more cosmopolitan but alot of people are in a hurry. It is not target rich like Medellin, but at least there are things to do during the day.
Did the La Piscina and El Castillo thing. There were a few good looking women at La Piscina (cheaper) but more at El Castillo. The starting (asking) prices were ridiculous.

I am in Bogota as I write. I did some sight seeing and visited the Santa Fe area. I scoured the area. Ihave one comment regarding the high surcharge for bring girls into your room for a friendly get to gether. Inquire about the cost of double occupancy. It is $25 per day at the La Boheme and I am sure it is less at other hotels. For those multiple scores in your room this is a pain less solution.

@hotel guest surcharges - i'm not sure if you read the forum before your trips, but la boheme, morrison hotel, hotel charlotte, hotel colon, etc. in zona rosa have always charged those ridiculous fees for overnight guests. or, in the case of hotel charlotte and hotel colon, you cannot even bring in guests who aren't registered when you first check-in. seriously. it's due to its location, and generally the regular clientele of the hotel. you should call and verify ahead of time at other hotels.
there are several hotels/apart-hotels in the zona rosa/parque 93 area that are much cheaper, just as safe and convenient to all. moreover, you can bring in multiple overnight guests. you might want to read up a little. they've been posted before.
@ sante fe - the normal on-site rates at la piscina and el castillo are between cop50.000-cop70.000 (room included), depends on the girl. all-nite rates will vary, depends on the girl and how much work she's put in that day already. many of them end up at fortaleza after work (after 2:00 am), and it's easy pickings for all-nite, at cop80.000-120.000. again, depends on the girl, and how good your spanish conversation is. i prefer the nights down in sante fe. not recommended as it's much more dangerous, but much more fun and the talent is ripe.

We just returned from a quick weekend trip to Bogota and wanted to clarify some things that might have been missed in the previous reports and to add our own impressions.
First of all the difference between the girls in Medellin and Bogota is noticable in favor of the former. Having said that there are plenty of cute girls to be found in Bogota and their attitude overall seemed less noticable. In fact it was easy to make out with regular girls in the clubs, and I thought overall the girls were more opend minded compared to Medellin.
For nonpro action if you are looking to meet regual girls the best one currently is Saint Angel (or San Angel) which is on the same street around Park 93 where all larger clubs are. Come early and get a dinner table; later the restaurant turns into a club. The appetizers are outstanding. Having a table and a couple of bottles on it will help you later on with the hotties dancing between the tables.
Downtown strip clubs. This mainly concerns El Castillo and La Piscina. El Castio seems a notch above in quality of the atmosphere and decor. Other than that both had hot girls. If you arrive before 10 PM the action is slow, picking up by 11 and reaching its peak at midnight. I sampled an 18 year old from Medellin and the price was 62,000 pesos total with 12,000 going to the house. My friend paid 80,000 total to another one. This is for 20 minutes. The prices are very reasonable if you are willing to deal with mostly locals and not as nice a neiborhood as some areas in Norte of Bogota are. Outside the strip clubs, there are many SW and some of them are cute.
Zona Norte strip clubs. We never got the chance to visit any except one but it was too early and it was empty. Most taxi drivers recommended La Mansion and being very $$$$ strip club and the best in Bogota. Unfortunatly we cannot confirm. One taxi driver told us the quality of the girls is 30 to 40 percent better than that of the ones found in downtown clubs. I would like if somebody could confirming that and report here.
The rest is about food and the city itself. The north part is clean and pretty. A lot of US style loft apartments with oversized windows and some new construction is evident. The malls (there are several in that area with the best one being El Retiro) are close to world class. Zona Rosa (and Zona T) areas are clean and safe and is a good place to have dinner and start the night in one of its lounges. We would also like to recommend a place in that area to eat called Piazza Luna which is open until 3 and turns into a lounge/cafe Pravda and the menu changes. Order Balsamic Beef (25,000 pesos): one of best beef cuts we've had. The salad bar is also great. Later on at night the place gets croweded with a hip local crowd. Their martinis and the food are also great.
Overall very good impressions.

I think if you stick to the Zona Rosa area I feel you are pretty safe, just always be aware of your surroundings like in any city.
This is my first time in Colombia and reporting as a newbie. Experienced mongers won't get much out of my reports but newbies might pick up a thing or two. I get very verbose on these things and sorry, there are no cliff notes.
Day 1:
We left on the morning of black Friday and got to the airport at around 5am and the line for Avianca was already 3 deep. Luckily for us, it wasn't too bad and we made it onto the plane without any problems. After a short 5 hr ride, we landed in Bogota at 1pm and went through immigrations without any issues at all. We noticed that the LEFT line was much quicker than the right. We did not chose wisely.
We decided to change some money at the airport and I was required to submit my passport and thumb print along with a bunch of questions. I've never been asked for a thumb print before. I can't believe I went through all that trouble just to exchange 200 USD.
Right outside of the airport was a taxi stand where we took an official yellow cab to Dann Norte hotel on the north side of town. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the Museo de Oro (Gold Museum) in downtown around Calle 16. Before we even got off the car, a beggar had already came up to the door. He would not stop hassling us but I've seen far worst in NYC so this wasn't anything new. The guards at the Museo de Oro stopped him from following us as we entered through a metal detector.
The gold collection was impressive but limited in quantity. IMO, it wasn't really worth it to stop by Bogota just to see the display. There were 3 floors and only the top 2 floors had anything. Across the street were many souvenir shops but nothing really worth picking up. We then walked around the area and there were tons of people on the streets as it was near rush hour. The cops normally traveled in groups of 3 and in a dark green uniform that resembles military uniform. There were some carrying rifles as I expected. We strolled around the blocks for a bit but there was really nothing to see so we hailed a cab and went back to the hotel.
For dinner, we went to El Sitio as recommended by the "Bogota List". Had I known Parque de la 93 was full of bars and restaurants I would've just had the taxi driver drop us off in the general area and walk around until we found one. El Sitio actually wasn't bad but I don't know if it is standard practice to frisk every customer that walks through the door. It was pretty empty that night but the food was decent.
After a full day of little sleep, we took a short nap before heading out to X VIP on the list. The place could not be found so the taxi driver took us to another place close by that had no name. We entered through the front and no one was there. After about 30 seconds, a girl came out and asked us to go in. I asked if we could at least see the girls and she refused. The spidey sense went off and we decided to bail.
Next the driver took us to 2 strip clubs in Zona Rosa. Again, these 2 places have no name. What's up with that? As we entered, there was a stage to the right and a water fall/pool on the left. The place was full of colombianos and lots of unoccupied hot colombianas as well. We decide to sit for a while and just relax. My friend wasn't planning on taking a girl tonight so just wanted to chill and enjoy the view.
We saw a total of 2 strip shows. The first girl was very plain and a disappointment but the 2nd was much hotter. Guys were lined up on the side of the stage I assume to take her after she was done. I figure this place was somewhat of a clip joint charging us 24k for EACH beer. Yet we were stupid enough to take 2 girls next door anyway for $150 USD for room + girl for 1 hr. My friend picked a girl w/ a very cute face and decent hourglass shaped body. I went with a typical latina with big silicone boobs. They originally wanted 300k + 120k for the room but we negociated it 150 USD. It was still too expensive but we went with it anyway.
The rooms next door were very nice and had a jacuzzi in the room w/ pr0n playing on the TV. The attendant wanted to charge 10USD for 3 condoms. REFUSE this. The girl will definitely have condoms. My session was pretty mechanical and probably the worst of my entire trip. She then found creative ways to continue to ask for more money which I refused everytime. This was a horrible start to a 10 day trip that I was really looking forward to.
After we got out, we took a taxi right infront of the club and it cost us 20k to get back to the hotel. I am certain that it should not cost more than 5k. If we ever return to Bogota, and that is pretty much going to be never, I would give him 5k and go into the hotel and have the concierge deal with him if he wanted more money.
This was overall a very poor start to what would turn out to be a great trip.

I wish. A while back grenades were thrown into one of the bars in the Zona Rosa -- where else can you attack foreigners and the wealthy with such ease?
Also its prime territory for drink doping: never leave your drink unattended or you might be asleep for a few days. This apparently gets worse in the run up to Christmas as folks get desperate for the money.

That's were the official taxi dispatcher is and you'll be asked your destination and issued a ticket with a plate number and price. Safer.

I was asked for 200k last time by an admittedly gorgeous girl very late on a quiet night. And much as I wanted to, I passed. That's 4 pops elsewhere, and my friend downstairs doesn't over concern himself with aesthetics.

We actually did hail a taxi from the official stand w/ a printed ticket. I didn't make that clear in the report.
Since we were only staying one night in Bogota, the plane tix were same price if we stopped in Bogota or not so might as well, I didn't put too much time in research. I just printed out the Bogota list and off we went. This shows how important research is before a trip! These things change so quickly sometimes that the information in the compiled lists could be out of date.

There is a obvious threat of a terror strike there as I am sure you know per the points you mentioned. The security check you get going into bars, etc. or just watch all the car searches at Andino. Pretty obvious they are concerned about all bomb types.
As for watching a drink I hope all the guys on here know that is common sense no matter where you are.
It´s Sunday night and most of the bars are dead. There´s nary a soul in Gyros Kebab except us two and the waiters. As the wine and the shisha pipe smoking took effect my girl laid her head on my shoulder and asked when we were going back to my room. Just then a noisy group came in to the restaurant and I knew that our intimate time was over. Back in the room I found that the Casilla del Diablo wine had put the diablo into my hitherto conservative girl, met via Latin American Cupid. After some wild sheet thrashing and exhausted sleep she had to go off to a job placement agency. She´s a nurse looking to work abroad.
Also, I had already booked my flight to Barranquilla for that afternoon. After weeks of cool, cloudy climes in Cusco, Lima and Bogota I was looking for some heat and sunshine. I mean, this is supposed to be the tropics dammit. But my flight out is from here to Miami on the 23rd so my hands will have a chance to travel her 4 foot 11, 100 pound curves some more.
I arrived here on a Friday night, with no reservation and only vague ideas as per my usual precise travel planning. I resorted to the tourist information booth just outside of customs. They hooked me up with Cosmos100 Hotel on Calle 100 near Cra. 19. It cost just under $90 with taxes included. It turned out to be guest friendly enough but there was the usual ID check and a nominal charge of 3500 pesos (security charge they called it). There´s a rooftop pool that´s glass dome covered. So you can even catch some rays this way. The lightly equipped gym is next to this. The breakfast was pretty good. The only problem is they seem to think that their cool climate excuses them from any thoughts about ventilation. In the room there´s no fan or AC and the window only opens a small crack. It can get pretty stuffy in there regardless of the weather outside. The location is a short taxi ride from places of mongering interest.
However, I didn´t have a chance to sample those places since I was mostly busy with my nurse. In the malls I didn´t seem to notice many unattached girls. They were mostly paired off with boyfriends.
The Zona Rosa looks like it could be a happy hunting ground, especially on Saturday nights. Sunday was pretty quiet, which I was able to use to my advantage as described above.

What I liked:
1. Palacetes. My plane arrived in Bogota at 9: 00 PM, so I was the vulnerable stranger trying to get laid on my first night. My airport taxi driver recommended this place (also reviewed on this Board). I got there at about midnight, and there was one attractive chica on duty. Her name was Catalina, but I later found out that there is another chica named Catalina who works there. The Catalina I saw was taller than average, and she was just a little slimmer than the other Catalina (also an attractive chica, but untested). In my mongering journeys, I tend to err on my first chica because I am so damned horny. But Catalina la Alta was quite sweet and sexually responsive, as I like them. I want the lady to have a good time, and she gave it up a couple times. She seemed inexperienced in matters sexual, and there is charm in that. Oh, and she was tight, so tight it was very difficult to stay in there when she contracted to come her brains out. In my first-encounter enthusiasm, I paid her $50 in United States currency, and I also paid $10 for her drink (there was not an actual drink. Just a bar fee) and then another $10 for the room. I was pussy-whipped, and so I caved in when Catalina asked for 5, 000 for the maid. Stupidly, in my post-flight fatigue, I left my $11 bottle of lubricant in the room, so I returned the next day to see if it was still there. The goon at the bar said that it had been all used up, the prior night. Damn good lubricant, so I hope someone had a good time. Anyway, while I was laughing about my losses while sitting on one of the pathetic little Palacetes sofas, I met Yeimi (Jaime), a lady of about 30-33 years with a sense of humor and a gorgeous white, white butt. Yeimi agreed to meet me the next morning at my hotel for $50. She was great fun. She spent 40 minutes more than the hour we agreed to, and she proved to be an interesting person. She talked about her years in Japan and Britain as a working girl. Apparently the Japanese expected her to see 6 customers a day, and she did not like that. But it allowed her to buy a house in Bogota for her and her daughter. So she sees two guys a day now at Palacetes to buy groceries. She had a great orientation to my pleasure, and she had a lovely butt up in the air.
2. Piscina Del Dia: I saw three chicas there, and all were fun. You go in any time after noon until about 7, and there are attractive ladies and very few men. They ask 4, 000 to 5, 000 pesos (less than $2. 50) for a beer or soft drink, and the charge is the same for a chica drink. So you can relax and watch the European porn on the big screen. The girls do not approach you unless asked (I like that so much). The girls do show you their asses by walking past you, though. On my first trip I chose Isabella, a perky chica with a great attitude. I signed up for only a half-hour for 70, 000 pesos (about $32), but the room staff kept pounding on the door after 15 minutes. Poor Isabella lost her orgasm drive because of the knocking (she was so close). I did fine, but felt bad for perky Isabella, who claimed to be a business student at the Universidad Nacionale. On my next trip to Piscina del Dia, Isabella introduced me to her friend Diana from Cali. Diana was not as young and perky as Isabella, but was great on service (I signed up for an hour and told the maid "no molesta! "). The cost was 110, 000 pesos ($50), and Diana really put her heart into it. Not a clock-watcher, Diana was as sweet and giving as any lady I have seen. OK, she had a little Caesarian scar on her belly, but that is a badge of honor in my book. More importantly, she had a fine firm butt that she liked to hold up in the air for me. Finally, on my last trip to PDD, Diana recommended a hot young spinner named Sandra. Sandra was a little hyperactive, which makes me think of drugs. But this young lady had an absolutely beautiful body, especially her butt. What a vision in those mirrors! Those Piscina Del Dia rooms were not bad at all. Sandra spent a lot of time on her knees, and she had these long orgasms where she seemed to lose herself. I have to admit that she seemed ambivalent about all this pleasure, and I think she would have refused such intense sex if Diana had not told her to show me a good time. Thank you, Diana of Cali. The moral of this story is to treat a lady well, and she will help you out with her friends if you play your cards right.
3. It was good to get away from my fellow gringos for several days. I don't remember a single person speaking English, except when addressing me. I saw a couple Europeans at my hotel (Hotel del Parque), but no Americans or Canadians. I am sure that more foreigners hang out in the upscale neighborhoods, but it was good to get away. Mongering in Costa Rica involves elbow rubbing with so many guys it feels like tailgating at a football game. I like to be on my own. I enjoyed the restaurants, the museums, the public squares, the architecture, and the city bustle. At my age, you can't screw all day and all night.
4. I liked my hotel, Hotel del Parque. I will write a separate post.
What I did not like in Bogota:
1. The street girls in Santa Fe are at their stations in front of their love hotels by 9: 00 A. M. (the earliest I showed up). Most of the ladies are not so attractive, but I found one who looked good. She wanted 30, 000 pesos ($14) for 20 minutes, and I persuaded her to accept the same price for 30 minutes. She was so mechanical and controlling that I felt ripped off even though I paid so little. Her favorite word was "No": no doggie, no ball washing, no depth to the oral, no bra removal. At the end she could not understand why I was unhappy with her. She told me I should return. Clearly she did not have any idea what I wanted.
2. Piscina (the main club on the big street in Santa Fe) was very disappointing and very different from the laid-back Piscina del Dia. On a Friday night, there were more men than women in Piscina: a real sausage fest. The waiters and security were as rude as possible. First they insisted that I sit at an isolated upstairs table, and then I paid about $7-8 for a beer. After I was half-way done with my beer, security insisted I buy a drink for a chica. Then the waiter insisted. Actually, the women looked hard, very hard with their hard fake tits and hard bar hair and hard faces set in make-up. Looking around, I really did not see the type of fresh, hot girl that I like. The floorshow was laughably amateurish. I left.
Mixed Reviews:
1. Lancaster, Casanova, and Extasis are "up-scale" but actually tiny places in the calles 80's and 90's (in contrast, most of my mongering and sightseeing as well as my hotel was farther south in the calles 20's and 30's.). These places wanted 15, 000 pesos ($7) for a beer, and wanted 20, 000 pesos for a chica drink. I never paid for a chica drink, even though I was asked to do so every 5 minutes. That was annoying. What was nice is that I was able to get the telephone numbers of one chica at each one of these places. One of them yielded an excellent session back at my hotel for $60; one led to a disgusting telephone up-selling on the chica's part; and one was a missed opportunity because I was too busy to see her (I think she would have been very good). Personally, I think you are a sucker if you pay the regular rates at these places ($100 or more), and I think you are a sucker if you buy chica drinks for almost $10. But I was pleased by the entrepreneurial readiness of most chicas to visit me at my hotel. Milena, the chica who visited me after meeting me at the club the night before, was a sweet, intelligent angel who spoke slowly (so I could understand her simplified Spanish) and gave every evidence of enjoying her time with me. She was very unhurried and willing to try whatever I asked. She asked to stay the night, but I told her I can't sleep with anyone else in the room. She seemed disappointed and repeatedly asked me to call her.
2. Condoms were required by all seven ladies I saw. As has been pointed out on this Board before, the Bogota chicas are much more likely to insist on condoms than chicas in Costa Rica, Republica Dominica, and Buenos Aires. My own feeling on this is that I would rather have a skilled oralist who insists on cover than an unskilled chica. I was pleased by several of the ladies, all of whom offered ball licking except the street chica.
3. The street security situation was better than San Jose, Costa Rica, but not as good as Buenos Aires. Here I am talking about the better neighborhoods of all three countries. At night I felt very comfortable walking at night in the 80s and 90s calles, whereas I would never walk at night in downtown San Jose (but I would in San Isidro). As recommended on this site, I used only marked taxis. As for daytime walking, I felt comfortable in Santa Fe and most other places I went. However, when walking in the Parque Nacionale, I felt suddenly isolated with three ugly young men with facial scars approaching me. I was lucky to be able to walk on the grass so as to avoid them and jump down a little wall, to be with others. As usual, there were about 10 policemen talking with each other and ignoring public safety, just 150 yards from where I felt isolated and threatened. The police are everywhere, with their automatic weapons. They seem to have an arrogant attitude. As in Costa Rica, they are never where they might be helpful. There are just more of them.
4. The Universidad Nacionale was surprisingly politicized, with revolutionary graffiti all over and with a huge, home-made drawing of Che Guevara on a building in the center of campus. Guys, it's the 21st Century! Even though it is supposed to be the great public university of the country, it appeared to be shoddy and under-funded. On the other hand, I found a lot of Spanish-language texts in my field that I had not known about, so that was interesting. I spent the afternoon in the library during an intense thunderstorm, and I had a good time reading and poking around. But that is what I do.
Overall, I had a good trip. The chicas weren't as beautiful as I thought they would be, but I was lucky to spend time with some excellent providers. I probably will not return, but I have some nice memories. It was a splendid isolation, with hot chicas at low prices. I write this review because I would not have had a good time if I had not been able to learn from the reports on this site.

I was just there over Thanksgiving (Hotel del Parque Classico), and they did not charge me a chica fee even though I expected them to do so. The bellhop on the first night told me that there was a COP 39,000 chica fee, but they did not charge me for either of two chica visits.
On the other hand, they charged me just a little bit more for night: 90,000 vs. your 88,000.
I was in Bogota yesterday at my usual spot Hotel del Parque. I always pay COP 88,000/night. Well I had a non-pro come over last night from 3 to 5, and they added COP 40,000 to my bill. I like the hotel because it is close to Santa Fe, but I refused to be abused this way. I gotta find another crash spot.

ThanksI do not have the exact address of Palacetes. I had two business cards with the exact address, but I discarded them upon my return. Sorry.
I do have my map of Bogota. I can tell you that Palacetes is on Calle 30 where it dead-ends into Carrera 19. When walking from the Convention Center and Museo Nacionale, it is the last house on the left before the dead-end. If a taxi going west on the Gaitan expressway exits to the north on Carrera 19, he goes two blocks before taking a right on Calle 30 (with Palacetes on the corner right). There is a goon sitting outside the buidling; otherwise the house looks like every other house in the neighborhood, with no sign of prostitution. Actually, it is a very interesting neighborhood, with some colorful and stylish homes. It is fun to walk there during the day, but I would not walk there at night.
A taxi driver showed me where it was.

I do watch a lot of porn, and I have seen about 200 working girls over the past 4 years. I can say that the young chica Sandra at Piscina del Dia was as pretty as any lady I have seen. Of course, you have to like the natural Latin look. But I am not sure that her service would be consistently good (she seemed to be over-worked but committed to pleasing me because I was friends with her friend). The first-night chica at Palacetes named Catalina was long and tall in the style of a model, but she was oddly inexperienced in sexual matters.The other chicas were definitely attractive in their late 20s and early 30s, but they were not stunning in pure looks. The first thing to say about Hotel del Parque Clasico (Calle 24 No. 4 A-79) is that it is different from Hotel del Parque Superior, which is just around the corner. Hotel del Parque Classico, my hotel and the subject of this review, is 40% less expensive than the other hotel. They told me I would pay $43 per night, but the actual charge on my Master Card was $41 per night (this included eggs, bread, and coffee at breakfast).
The hotel and room were very clean, and I liked the shiny hardwood floors. I had a nice view, with big windows, of a few city blocks that rose into the foothills of the mountains to the West of the city. On my first day I complained about the shower, which gave off a single powerful stream of water instead of, well, a shower. The maintenance man found a true shower head and installed it later in the day, but I was somewhat embarrassed to learn later at various *****houses that the single hard stream of water is totally typical of Bogota plumbing. It took the water about 5 minutes to get hot on the seventh floor.
I seemed to be the only gringo in the hotel during my 5-night stay, but I saw some Europeans in the restaurant. One older man in management of the hotel spoke basic English, and Erica Gomez, often at the front desk during the days, had some knowledge of English. I liked it that way.
The hotel Wi-Fi worked consistently in the restaurant and lobby of the hotel, but inconsistently with a weak signal in my 7th floor room (it seemed to work best in the wee hours of the morning).
The bellboys and one of the waiters in the restaurant seemed to have a special interest in my sexual satisfaction. A bellboy started me out on my first night by promising me a lady “muy bonita” for 130,000 pesos, with a 39,000 peso fee going to the hotel. This amounted to about $77, which I declined. I always like to see the lady in advance. The price quoted by the waiter in the restaurant was 100,000 pesos by the end of the stay at the hotel.
Two chicas did visit me at the hotel for 1 to 2 hours each. I had met them at clubs. The person on duty at the main desk simply called me when they arrived and asked if it was OK for the chicas to come up to my room. I liked that system, where I did not have to be in the lobby with the families while the puta signed on the dotted line. I am shy. I was surprised that the hotel did not charge me a chica fee after the bellhop had told me that a chica fee would be required. Go figure.
I was able to keep lots of fruit in the mini-frig. It became somewhat cold at night, but the multiple wool covers get me adequately warm (just barely). The restaurant and room service were priced a bit higher than the typical restaurant, and the food was acceptable (nothing great but tasty).
I would have stayed at either Suites Real, but all the rooms there were booked in advance for the long weekend. On balance, I ended up liking my little hotel and its location within walking distance of the Museo Nacionale, Plaza Bolivar, and the many *****houses in and around Santa Fe. The Parque across the street really is attractive, but I urge you to stay on the main paths to avoid evil-looking ones.
Bottom line: This hotel was inexpensive and supportive of my hobby. Indeed, there was a fine big mirror on one side of the bed. That is what I want.

Dear all,
As it happens somehow often to me, my experience is not completely aligned to the majority of reports archived. Therefore, I thought to add my 5 cents of information. Note: I am Italian, I can speak some survival Spanish. This helps a lot in Colombia.
IS BOGOTA DANGEROUS?
Yes, caution must be exercised, but we do not have to be paranoid! I walked alone night and day also in Santa Fe, and nothing happened to me. At night, Av. Caracas is more dangerous than SF, actually, because there is nobody, while in SF there is people around.
Being prudent, while walking at night in SF, means:
- stay with people, if possible
- walk fast
- hide yourself, try to look a local. if you look "gringo", I would avoid to walk there at night without a destination.
Take a taxi, if you go to a club or back to the hotel (but doing so you'll miss SWs).
At daytime, I consider SF really OK. No problems at all.
I would also leave all credit cards and passport in the hotel, just in case of being robbered.

I sampled El Castillo one night. Nothing special, in my opinion. Nice girls, kind and professional doorman, but I was not very excited about what I found. I moved away to another club I think we can have better options.

I think that clubs in the North area (cr.93, ..., 85, etc) are overestimated in reports. Overpriced too.
Converesely, I found a very good club, suggested by two independent taxy drivers, expensive but worth. The name is something like Lorinai, or Lorimai. It is close to the university, cl.49 and cr.13. (pls check may be not exact). All taxi drivers should know it, I think.
Very beautiful and elegant girls, higher prices but really worth, good and clean rooms.
I did not read about it in these reports. It is a pity nobody knows it in this forum! I recommend it.
LOW-END CLUBS
If you like to be brave and have fun in low-end places (like me), then SantaFe is your place.
Plenty of clubs. Note that the *lower average quality* means that you'll find ugly, old girls AND real gems, all mixed together (lower average, higher variance, if you know about statistics).
No foreign tourists here! Spanish is a must.
Part of the fun is hunting, no? you need to explore and dig, then you find gems.
Clubs are not all in one street, so to move around you need to walk in a radius of maybe 400 meters. Therefore, be cautious at night. Look around and walk fast, straight to your destination.
Start from Av. 19, west of Caracas, and move North, up to cl.23,25 (?), where there is El Castillo.
Right time is after 7pm (if you want no people yet, all girls ready and wating for you) until 2am, 3am or so, if you like crowded places.
I sampled many, entering and exiting several times, until I found what I liked. Drinks (and girls) are cheap, however, so bar hopping does not make much damage.
I have a special memory of El Coche Rojo, smallest place where I found only 4 girls working at 7pm, but 2-3 of them were outstanding! Very young and sexy. And cheap! (30k / 20mins).

I have been slowly yet inexorably marching towards making a particular point, which will come later in this post. I realize that I have strung the whole thing out like a novela, but that is part of the fun for me.
First, let me address my friend’s behavior. He knew exactly what Ariana looked like from the moment she came over. He had every opportunity to opt out – immediately, after drinks, before dinner, during the negotiations at dinner, and before returning to the apartment. This search for the GFE seems to be more an American monger thing, correct me if I´m wrong. Probably has something to do with the treatment received back home. I think that this comes after a normal fuckee fuckee suckee suckee encounter. If you get along well with the girl, you invite her to go get something to eat. You can´t buy the GFE offering a dinner and more bucks. But that´s just IMHO.
I think Hoof Hunter is correct when he said that you guys are looking in the wrong places. The friend should have done the amigos.com thing before the trip. He would have found plenty of girls to go out to dinner with him (like on a real date!!!!), and maybe even have gotten laid.

HH: As you note, Casanova's is a gringo fleece joint, as are most gringo oriented places. I always had great luck at La 49 but it is NOT particularly gringo friendly (NOT unfriendly, but 90%+ of patrons are Colombianos). It is NOT geared towards guys going alone (you must buy an entire bottle of spirits as they do not sell just one drink except beer). It is also NOT an area to walk around at night, unlike the area near Casanova's (in the 80s) which is much safer.

Dodger, I tend to take your approach sometimes. There are people here, including Jackson, who argue it's better to negotiate hard. Not only will you save money, but the women will respect you more and give better service. I think there's some wisdom to that view if the date is 100% a business transaction, or if you're looking for a porn star experience instead of GFE. The thing about some of the Colombian hookers is that either consciously or subconsciously, they consider you to be more than a single business transaction -- maybe someone they may see repeatedly, or after a few dates even a potential boyfriend or husband. The fact that you're initially paying her more than she deserves indicates you're generous, which is something that women are programmed to prefer, by genetics & evolution. If she knows that you know you're overpaying, it may make her feel special. Of course it could also make her think you're a chump.
David, I think you're right, that U.S. mongers do tend to value the GFE more. I'd argue that while impersonal sex with a hottie is nice sometimes, other times masturbation is a more meaningful and cost-effective experience.

It´s interesting that Surfer put in his two cents. I was going to mention in my post that he is the king of getting GFE, but thought that he might have felt embarrassed since he is such a modest individual. All the girls end up loving him. He even shows up with little presents and pocket rockets.
I am hardly the "King" of GFE, although I aspire to that title. Treating hookers like princesses works wonders (although, as antifreeze likes to say, "ScrewedUp treats princesses like hookers and he ALSO gets GFE").
Overpaying ON FIRST session is a HORRIBLE idea because you set a standard, a base so to speak, for future encounters. Better to give a fair wage (but you MUST know the local market!), then suggest that you will repeat with her if the session goes well. Offering gifts or tips as incentives for good performance also helps. Capitalism WORKS (despite what Alan Garcia might say LOL!)

The guy lays out a perfect gameplan that you can follow to get a great girl to hang out with you for a few days in a row at a rate cheaper than three or four regular LT sesions. To me, that is valuable advice. At the very least, it gives you another negotiating tactic to use when you find someone to have a GFE session or sessions with. We don't have that type of option in that states.
As far as her looks, to each their own. I would much prefer a solid 7 or 8 with great skills and personality as opposed to a 9 or 10 that was simply business like. That being said, I think his girl is very attractive, with a great body and if you throw in a great personality it's all for the better.
Anyway, that's just my .02.

I just want to make sure that you are aware that the two bedroom apartment has one of the rooms with two singles beds, not a double.
I called to make a reservation there two months early, and called to confirm one week before arrival. They had lost it.
So I made another reservation, but when I arrived they said they had no reservation.
It didn't matter because they had plenty of rooms available. But I just wanted to alert you to that possibility.
Overall, it was a nice place, good breakfast, good location. ATM machines and a supermarket around the corner, and just a short walk to Zona Rosa.
I would stay there again.

Here is a link to a great place I stay. LOcated in the La Cabrerra area in the Zona Rosa. High Sercurity Building..very luxory accomdiations and no problem with ladies going there. It is a nice place that can remain grat for those that like nice things. Excellent location:
