Hi folks,
I've booked myself at The Hilton in the financial district for a visit in November. Any options close to that place within walking distance? Also, anyone know what the hotel policy is for bringing guests over?The closest casa is about 7-10 min. Walk towards Avenida Caracas, and there are a lot in the area. World Traveller's map gives pretty good info. The Hilton is an upscale business hotel. It will not be easy to bring a girl up without registering her. I keep my airbnb and also grab a hotel room if I feel like it.
From memory, the hotel room was 30000 solo, or 40000 for unlimited girls all night.
My airbnb was only 5 minutes walk from there on Cra. 13 a ##28 but with the hotels so cheap I often take both.

Just got back Sunday from a weekend in Bogota.
Stayed at the hotel San Francisco de Assis which is about 8 blocks from Santa Fe action. Basic economy for about $25 a night including breakfast. No ventilation or windows that can be opened in room, no AC or heat, but you may not need AC or heat because the weather is comfortable. Hot water in shower. Outside the hotel there are people sleeping on the sidewalk with blankets to keep them warm. Creepy men and women who look at you twice to make sure they themselves are safe. Hotel will call a taxi for you, otherwise public taxis you hail may overcharge or take the long way to destinations to run up their bill.
Saturday, before elections on Sunday, SF was closed. No alcohol after 6 pm. However I walked around Santa Fe before dark. Surprised to see two large vans of police near La Piscina. Door guard said they were closed, and cops were checking the men for arms, hand guns. Also there were pairs of army men on many street corners, with loaded rifles, clips in the chambers. Probably for the news media to show how the Mayor was protecting his residents, prior to the election the next day.
The only way to go to the clubs after dark is by taxi. I would not walk around in that area after dark.
Also, dress in drab, dark clothes. No short pants, you will stick out! Do not have flashy or any jewelry, do not expose a cell phone or it will get grabbed by someone on a mortorcycle. If you walk around in the day time, try to find other Colombian people walking the same way and walk close to them, do not walk by yourself. I had one creepy guy stalk me when I went to Santa Fe alone during the day.
To them you are rich. They have nothing, or next to nothing and survival is all they worry about each day. Stealing from you means nothing to them, you have it and they want it. Other than Saturday, in show for the election, there are few police or army people to protect you.
Its better to go with someone to the clubs, but every one inside seemed easy going, wanting their drinks and women. Lap dances for 15,000 pesos, about $5. Upstairs sex for 80,000 about $27.
Have been to other locations around the world and Santa Fe zona de intolerance has the most concentrated site for the most women, that I know of, in the whole world. Well over 2,000+ women available.
Yes, many of the women are fantastic, all varieties, tattoos, fat or slim, sexy or ugly, old and over 18. Many of the door girls are obese, in my opinion, but most of the girls inside the club are very attractive, 6-9 on a scale of 1-10. It is incredible and fantastic to see the excitement at these clubs, but take a taxi after dark and follow these precautions. Your life is worth it.
I'd say it was another successful trip. I spent a work week down there and got much busier than anticipated at work so I couldn't monger quite as much as I wanted. Still I spent a significant amount of time in Santa Fe and nailed 13 different young hotties. I stayed at the Tequendama because it is so close to Santa Fe and because the internet was great on my last trip. My Verizon Cell Phone stayed in VZW (wifi) mode the whole time. This time, my internet was terrible when I arrived. I was getting 2 bars even though I had an access point in my room. I asked for someone from engineering to come up and work on it. They did. They put me on a different SSID and I had 60-100 mb up and down for the rest of my trip. It was perfect.
Now, to the girls. I go for young, skinny girls who don't look too drugged out. I ended up finding plenty. Many who looked almost Indian. That fit my profile. The two main concentrations for me were the main block below Piscina. Calle 15-16, Cra 23-24 and the corner of Calle 20 and Cra 14 bis. I also found that there was a treasure trove of hotties a little further down Calle 20 toward Cra 16. Thursday afternoon and night, the selection was incredible. I was disappointed to see how early things slow down on Friday night. By midnight, the Calle 20 area was a ghosttown. Even though I got in much later than I planned and I had a shitton of work to do each day, I managed to nail 13 street girls over 5 full days so my numbers weren't too bad. On the gross side, I had a couple of girls who were either on their periods or started their periods while I was banging them. Not cool.
I had a Venezuelan girl from Venus who I've been chatting with since my last trip. I thought I would take her to Santa Fe Suites for an all-night visit. But after a daytime tour of the rooms, Santa Fe Suites seemed too much like a crack house. Worse than many of the short-time rooms I was taking streetie sweeties to. So we went to Amarte Suites in Chapinero for an all night in a love motel. It was alright. But the love hotel beds are NOT good for sleeping in.
I ate almost all my lunches and dinners at Voodoo burger and was never disappointed. I am as much of a white gringo as I can be and I spent hours walking all over Santa Fe. I never felt like there were any security issues at all. The only negative I did notice, and I'm not an animal rights person, but I saw people being incredible cruel and rough with their dogs. It sucks to be an animal in a third world country.
Anyway, good trip. And I can't wait to get back. Maybe next time I will check out Cucuta or Cartegena.

I've spent significant amounts of time in Santa Fe, both day and night; I feel safer there after dark than during the day. After dark, there's a lot more people out and more police, security guard presence than during the day. You're safer in crowds than on lonely streets. And most people are just trying to have a good time. The only weird stuff I've seen is a few arguments, people threatening to fight, and a couple of foot chases. Perception of safety is relative, but those who think it's dangerous probably haven't lived in or spent much time in truly dangerous neighboorhoods, where guns shots are blasting day and night, and you expect to get mugged every time out. Sure, I speak Spanish and can blend in with the locals, so that helps. But Santa Fe is really a walk in a theme park. But if you want to play it extra safe, yes the clubs will give you the security you're looking for (just watch your drink). Chapinero daytime 'casas' are also a safe bet. Also, I don't take my phone to SF, as I don't need it and it's once less thing to worry about. Cell phones are attractive targets for thefts in Colombia, they will kill for cell phones here. Another thing: the sun rises and sets early in Bogota. Currently, the sun sets at 5:40 pm, so there's a lot of time for 'after dark. ' I don't linger past 11 pm as I don't have to since it's going on all day and evening.

I find, usually when someone gets robbed or stabbed, it's because they made some mistake that they probably were not aware of (resisting a mugger, staying out too late, drunkenness, etc.). Your life is more important than some money or cell phone. I recommend if you don't have street smarts, then yes, stay away from Santa Fe; just as people without book smarts are not cut out for the university. I've meet people who have no street smarts who very quickly will endanger themselves, and in the same situation another person will no no problem at all.
Another mistake I see people do is trusting strangers. They meet a hot chick or (a cool dude) hit it off, bring 'them back to the apartment to party, next thing there's a guy with a gun at their door; or they cleverly slip something into the drink and you pass out. Basically, don't trust nobody you don't know well, don't get drunk, don't invite strangers to you place, don't flash money and valuables around, don't stay out too late, don't carry a lot of money or anything you're not willing to lose, don't resist muggers, walk quickly to where you're going, don't walk down dark empty streets, don't linger in vulnerable areas, dress to blend in, don't [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) people off, and so on. Certainly there's a cost to going out, leaving your home and country. There's no gain without risk, but you do what you can to mitigate risk, then let chips fall where they may. Wandered down to Santa Fe by myself last night about 5. 30 pm, it was my first time there but not my first in Bogotá. The info contained here was a great help to give me bit of a lay of the land so thanks to all of those who've contributed reports that make it easier for those that follow.
Initially my game plan was to get my Uber to drop me off at Troya and if I felt comfortable when I saw the area I'the just go for a wander prior to hitting a club. That didn't work out at first because nether my driver or I could find the place so I just got out and had a look around.
The first place I recognised was Paisas and I tried to use that one set my bearings, not realising it had entrances on 2 streets. Had a look around at some of the SW action and unlike Medellin there were a few I liked.
I went looking for Atunes which a number of contributors here have spoken highly of but I get it confused with Atonis which is the first bar I went into. Got myself a Heineken (mental note, drink local beer next time) and grabbed a seat. Within 3 or 4 minutes a fine looking chica came and stood nearby hoping to get my attention. As I'the only been there a few moments I ignored her to examine my options and she wandered off. The selection of chicas at that time was quite ordinary except for maybe two of them.
Went out and did another lap of the SW's and looking for Troya / Atunes and saw some very nice SW's but eventually ended up at Paisas. There were girls of all shapes and sizes at Paisas and I'm surprised the quality wasn't higher, but to be fair I was relatively early. One annoying thing was that waiter that followed me as I entered the bar pestering me to buy a drink, which I did at the bar, kept coming and standing in front of me partially obscuring my view. One final note on security. The area is definitely sketchy but not unacceptably so if you take some precautions. I had all my small notes and an expired CC in my wallet in my back pocket. Most of my cash was stashed in other pockets and my phone never came out of my pocket except for in a bar / restaurant or to show my taxi driver my address.
There was definitely guys there sizing you up as a mark but all you need to do is not be the easiest / best option. When I saw someone looking me over I looked back. Just got back from my Sunday night at SF and thought I'the share some up to date info on the Sunday scene.
There were certainly enough SW's out to make it worthwhile, nowhere near as many as Friday which was jam packed with girls. During my few laps of the block I probably only saw 3 that I was willing to pay for at that time but they were all either talking to somebody when I saw them or not there anymore on subsequent laps.

I must have walked around there probably 10-11 times and trying to make notes of which girl was candidate for my leche. Stopped a couple times to ask quanto and got price of 35 k. I did not want to give away that I am foreigner so tried to keep conversations limited as my Spanish is limited. Another thing is the waiters at the club constantly trying to tip themselves. So knowing the correct price for the drinks is essential and carry small notes.

The only thing in common is the eggs. Often they will have short rib soup, or even beef liver or bull penis soup (caldo de pajarilla and caldo de raíz). Other common options are Changua (a soup made with eggs, milk, bread and cilantro) or a nice tamal with hot chocolate, my personal favorite.
You can get American English or Irish breakfasts here in Bogota but you have to probably go way out of your way and actually pay a premium like 30-50 k just for breakfast.

You can buy it in many places now and it is not made of leftovers but it is supposed to look like it. Just take rice, and chop everything else in small cubes, meat, potatoes, plantain, beans, etc. Add some oil to a pan, fry everything, mixing and put one or two fried eggs on top to serve.
You can also hace caldo de pescado, a fish soup with sliced potatoes and a bit of milk. Quite nice and healthy.
In most places you can have for breakfast some really nice soups like mondongo, a soup made with the stomach of the cow (previously cooked in the pressure cooker to make it soft and chewable), potatoes, carrots, peas, and cooked for hours; mute de mazorca, a soup made with fresh corn (nor american corn which is somewhat sweet but a local non sweet variety), pork feet (which have been previously cooked in the steam pressure and deboned) and carrots, peas, potatoes, etc; cuchuco de trigo, a soup made with whole wheat and pork back bone (which have been previously cooked in the steam pressure to make it soft), and peas, carrots, potatoes, etc. Those soups are usually cooking for hours so the result is delicious as all ingredients have really met and melt for a very long time creating a very tipical flavor. Sometimes they are cooked in wood stoves which adds a wooden flavor to the soup.

I came to Bogota on Thursday.
There were ten of thousands peaceful protesters.
And the at night hooligans started to shatter the bustops in the city and loot some stores throwing molotov cocktails and throw cobblestones at the police.
Yesterday night was the curfew. Nobody was allowed in the street until 6 am. The night was quiet.
Some girls were working in santafe but there was a feeling that street fighting was imminent; and it happened few times between the protesters and the hooligans.
Today Saturday no demonstration but many stores are still closed.
More girls are working in Santa Fe.

I'm an analytical type by nature and I read many great reports in this forum (I. E. Routard's detailed analysis and many others). So in the spirit of sharing, I am going to tell you about some of the highlights and some of the careless errors.
The good:
I contacted Woodman09 and let him know I would be visiting Bogota. I asked for friendly recommendations and he gave me a couple. I followed his advice on one of the suggestions (Tequendama Suites). This place was a little difficult to find, although very close to the Tequendama Hotel. My room was reserved in advance even though I was arriving just past midnight. The place was amazing. A full kitchen with an oven, cooking utensils, a microwave, a half-refrigerator and glasses and dishes. There were two bathrooms an enclosed bedroom with a king-size bed and a living room area with hard wood floors and comfortable sofa chairs and a couch. I booked his place as part of a package with one of the services and my hotel rate was less than $40 USD a night. Oh and it included a buffet breakfast that included various juices, coffee a couple of scrambled egg choices, fruits and vegetables and soups and other options as well. Best of all, it was girl friendly as long as the girl left her cedula with the concierge between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm (my best recollection). Thank you Woodman09!
My first mission was to walk around the area where I was staying. There were numbers eating options in the mall like area where my Tea Suites was located. I found numerous banks in the area so retrieving cash was no problem at all. I did get winded and sweaty after any prolonged exertion. I attribute this to the altitude and my lest than Spartan shape (I'm 66 and in less than fighting trim but not nearly obese etc). I met Woodman09 after a few days at my hotel and we went for a meal and some general discussions. It was a very informative meeting. I booked him for a tour of Santa Fe the next night. Woodman09 has been living in the area for several years and knows the lay of the land, speaks Spanish better than I do and is a known quantity in the Santa Fe area. Oh, and his guide rate was very fair.
So, can you just come down and taxi your way to Santa Fe and meander your way through the area? I think you can but why would you risk it? At least the first time (or two) get a guide to take you there, show you the ropes. He'll tell you if you are dressing like a target. He'll protect you. A wingman for the inexperienced, in the Santa Fe area is good advice. There are other things too, of course. Don't wear flashy clothes, or jewelry. Don't take your cell-phone out of your pocket to see who is buzzing you, wait til you're in a covey or a strip club.
So, what did I think of Santa Fe? Pretty amazing. Many beautiful women. I didn't pull one of my first trip through with Wood but I got a few phone numbers and although I'm extremely picky, I would say there were at least half a dozen that had me drooling on that first trip. Needless to say, Woodman09 can give you advice on other parts of Bogota too.
With some connection help from Woodman, I got to meet a few other visitors there at the same time: IrishA and Ikonic. We went out one night (a Sunday) and finally we found a pub that was open. We got some grub and shared stories and ideas. IrishA is extremely experienced all over the world and had a number of great suggestions about how to improve or perfect your hobby experience. Ikonic was less experienced but a terrific person to have in your group. Unfortunately, I had slept poorly and afterwards, they went for a Santa Fe dessert and I begged off and went home.
The bad.
Well on the way back from the pub, the torrential rains of November cut loose. I waited under the eaves talking to Colombians for 30 minutes with no let up. Unable to get a cab or an Huber, I walked back to the hotel through inches of puddled water and non-stop lightening and thunder and pounding rain. I finally made it back, soaked from head to foot. My shoes were completely soggy, so was my pants, socks, tee-shirt and jacket. Yuckkkk!
I took a hot shower and got into bed. Well, a few days later, I came down with a terrible case of the flu. Perhaps (as my doctor told me) it wasn't related to the storm but somewhere I contacted a flu carrier. I was bed-ridden for a few days. I got up at night almost every hour to drink water and quench my parched throat. The third day, I visited reception and asked them if they had a doctor who could come over and examine me. This was very difficult in Spanish (for me) but it worked! They dialed a number (Uh-Oh) and I had to explain everything to a person on the phone, in Spanish. My Spanish is OK but certainly not fluent. It worked! They sent a doctor and his assistant over an hour later and YeaH! The doctor spoke English. So he checked me out, told me I had a fever and gave me an IV and some prescriptions (which aren't really needed in Colombia, since the Droguerias will fill anything except Narcotics without a prescription). He told me I would be fine in a few days, just drink lots of fluids, eat every meal and get lots of rest.
So? Instead of assuming that Bogota is just like Medellin, only a little higher in altitude and a little cooler in temperature, I should have done my homework and noticed that the monsoons hit in October, November and April. Another month would have been much more pleasant.
The other goods.
Bogota is different than Medellin in another respect. The street / casa scene is infinitely greater in Bogota. But even if you are looking for other options, there really isn't a Facebook option for Bogota. The girls are very active on Twitter, Tinder and other web vehicles like Mileroticos and Photoprepagos. Medellin is far more Facebook centric. So despite, adjusting to the altitude for a few days and being sick for a week, I did have a few Rollas come over and welcome me to the Bogota world. I found one on Twitter. I think she was a little reluctant at first, but after an I'm exchange we moved to What'sApp and talked and set up our date. She had a hard time finding my Teq Suites place but we finally worked it out. Julia was petite a medical student at University (I believed her, because when I told her I was suffering from la grippa (the flu) she sent over a few prescription recommendations.
She was really shy and reserved but a total doll. Imagine a little doctor-wannabe that is 5'0" and 90 pounds jumping your bones! I saw her a second time the day before I left and she texted me later to be very aware that the protests might cause the streets to be a problem and to allow additional time to get to the airport. Is the nice or what??
I also found another selection on Mileroticos. She was blond (not naturally) and a little thicker and she was a total animal in bed. After she left me gasping for air she resumed her oral stimulation and mounted me for seconds. I was running out of gas. Once we called it in, she and I walked over to the Macarena district and found a great Spanish (as in Spain) restaurant and had a wide selection of choices including their Sangria wine option.
Summary.
Bogota is a great city but you really have to do your homework. Medellin is an easy, go there, enjoy the city kind of place. Bogota is much higher altitude wise, much larger which means many more options and their transportation system isn't the greatest and taxis, while plentiful, are an arduous process. So, in other words, do your homework and make the necessary preparations. (A little practice speaking and understanding Spanish will be well worth the effort).

I too was in Bogota the first 2 weeks of this November and it rained everyday, one or two days it rained harder than I have ever seen before. I always stay in Chico Norte, very near parque 93. It's close to wherever you want to go, north or south and very, very safe. You need 2 days to acclimate but after that, no problem. The best part of Bogota is there are over 8 million people in Bogota and over 50% are women jajaj I like those odds. Learn Spanish, do your homework and enjoy.

I am not fluent in Spanish by any means, but I have never had a problem getting someone to understand when I use those programs on my phone, and they are free.

I take it every day during flu season. That said, if I had to guess I would say that it was more pollution and altitude that did you in then the flu. If this happens again, you will know it likely was not the flu.
That said, I really like your report. I think you really captured the good and bad of Bogota. Yes, it is pussy paradise, but it comes at a cost of the weather, the pollution, the crime, and the crowded streets. Medellin is way more user friendly for most mongers than Bogota is. For me, it is not a question of adjustment. It is just with time the city pollution, much like Mexico City, wears on me: a headache, stuffy nose, malaise. It isn't bad enough for me to not enjoy the hunt, but I don't feel my best there. For a lot of guys, going to Bogota, picking up a chick or two, and then moving to a more hospitable city may be a better option than just staying in Bogota.

That said, I really like your report. I think you really captured the good and bad of Bogota. Yes, it is pussy paradise, but it comes at a cost of the weather, the pollution, the crime, and the crowded streets. Medellin is way more user friendly for most mongers than Bogota is. For me, it is not a question of adjustment. It is just with time the city pollution, much like Mexico City, wears on me: a headache, stuffy nose, malaise. It isn't bad enough for me to not enjoy the hunt, but I don't feel my best there. Of course it would be a bad idea to be in between protesters and police, but for the rest tourists have not to fear for their safety, I mean not more than before the protests. Main impact for everyone is Transmilenio who is often blocked and vandalized by protesters, the rest is business as usual, including the mongering scene.

DT, I gave CDMX a try. CDMX Hotels are about double the price of Bogota and maybe 50% more than US. From a SD POV, women in Mexico wanted about double what I gave the Colombian ones and about half of what the ones in USA Wanted.
Sexually speaking, I was really disappointed with all but one or two of the Mexican SB prospects. The Mexican hookers I saw were cheaper, better looking, and way better in bed, and I enjoyed hanging with them too. A buddy of mine told me Mexican women had been Americanized, and I saw what he meant.
When it comes to pleasing a guy, I would say on average the Mexican woman does it twice as well as the average American woman though, but with the Colombian woman, I would say they are 4 X better on average.
I tried CDMX out because it is cheaper, easier to get to, and CDMX has so much more to do than Bogota and the food and weather are better in CDMX as well. I do have a SB prospect there, and she is like a 7, a student, good in the sack, and cool to be with.

First time visiting Bogota for a month starting January 10. I transferred planes there on my trip to Cucuta a few months back and boy oh boy was it cold. Did not expect it to be that cold. I really thought www.weather.com was lying to me.
Mostly be staying in the Santa Fe area and visiting Chapinero. I was hoping to find a massage parlor for fun. Then sit in a hot jacuzzi for 1-2 hours. Then maybe have a second round before leaving. The hot tubs in most the hotels I run into are not very hot or out of order. Or maybe a Fun Massage with a health club with jacuzzi near by? Thanks!

Lately I had the opportunity to get to Bogota. I had good memories on Bogota since I have last been there in 1998. Unfortunately*last visit was not that superb.
First I have arrived exactly at the time of the riots and strikes and therefor moving aground was quite difficult, most of the people did not go out and there was even a curfew*one night. So it was basically quite low.
I have stayed in a nice safe neighborhood called Chapinero norte. Just next to Zona Rosa and Zona T. That should have been a good place to go out at night but most of the days it was closed. I even tried to go to one massage place but no girls arrived that day due to the riots.
My recommendations is actually to stay at the center of town (La Candelaria) it is less safe but much more alive and less posh. In Zona T people are very vain and aristocrat*and you will not feel the real Bogota although it is much safer.
Since I couldn't go out much and most of the places are close I had to call escorts. Basically escorts does not worth it in Bogota. Just landed yesterday so decided to scout out some options. Took an Uber to Tantra Spa. It was strange as they had A4 paper signs saying Ajales Spa or something like that. There are plenty of positive reviews of Woodman09. I can't recall a single negative one. If you want to "expose" him, then set up a tour, take the tour and write a review.
I don't know what he charges, but I know a very good reason why he doesn't just list a price. It's the same reason why a car dealer doesn't advertise 1 price for any car on the lot. Options.
One guy might want someone to guide him, translate for him and spend several hours. Another guy may just want a 30 minute briefing. Should he charge the same for both? Someone else may want him to provide 3 or 4 contacts for a party, or might want help with negotiating for a 4 day stay. There's no 1 size fits all, generic tour.

So I went to the infamous Abadubai Spa today as I read a lot of good reports about it on this thread posted back in May 2019. Getting there was easy enough. The man has provided valuable information and insights. He has spent hundreds if not thousands of hours at this activity. Sure, you can get a wingman for free. Ever tried to change your brake pads with a friend who never did it before either? An experienced person can help you avoid a lot of mistakes and enhance the overall experience. Nobody complains about paying different amounts for free walking / city tours. The guides spend hours and give a lot of information and everyone tips based on a number of different factors. The man is providing a tour for 3 to 4 hours if I understand correctly. If you have limited time and don't want to do all your homework / research on the forums, I think he is providing an invaluable service. And he can charge whatever he wants for his services, it's left up to you to accept.
