In case you did read that pre-print, it should not have escaped your notice that this is an observational study. With that, you have to be extremely careful to make sure your groups are comparable, in the sense that differences you see between the groups are not due to design issues and how the subjects were ascertained. So people in the field usually have a fine antenna out for potential problems. This pre-print stands out in the sense that you can see right away (on the abstract page!) that there is a humdinger of a flaw.
"SARS-CoV-2-nave vaccines had a 13.06-fold (95% CI, 8. 08 to 21.11) increased risk for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to those previously infected, when the first event (infection or vaccination) occurred during January and February of 2021."
Vaccination in Israel started December 19, 2020. Who were the people who got vaccinated in January and February of 2021? The most ill, frail, in general, the people at the highest risk. It is almost comical that Gazit et al thought that by matching age, sex, and geographical area (and adjusting occasionally for an ICD code, which they said didn't make a difference anyways) they can generate an appropriate comparison group (and if there is a variable you want to match on, it is comorbidity, which only highlights their utter quantitative ignorance). To the day we do not fully understand what all the CoViD risk factors are, but according to these guys, one only needs age, sex, zip code, an ICD code (maybe), bam, done. What a bunch of clowns.
There are other issues too. People who get vaccinated tend to have a different exposure than the unvaccinated, which they acknowledge in the Discussion but throw the hands in the air about ("although we controlled for age, sex, and region of residence, our results might be affected by differences between the groups in terms of health behaviors (such as social distancing and mask wearing), a possible confounder that was not assessed" It is easy to see many other potential problems. There is a reason randomized clinical trials are the gold standard, since by definition, the difference you see must be due to the treatment (or is the result of some very unlikely outcome, with a likelihood that itself can be quantified). Yes, there is an entire field trying to draw causal inference from observational studies, but it surely requires more diligence and skills than these yahoos appear to have.
All the technical study design mambo jambo aside, the most important question in science is "does this make sense"? Quite often, when we analyze the data from a study, the results do support what we believed a priori. But sometimes they don't. Then the question is 'How come'? And we start to ask ourselves whether there could be explanations we have not considered before. And if we cannot come up with an explanation, that means we either observed something that still escapes us, or something went awry. Case in point: when it comes to CoViD-19, we consistently see that vaccination produces greater amounts of circulating antibodies than natural infection. So on a molecular level, how is it possible that higher antibody levels lead to poorer health outcomes? I have no idea. Do you?
I'll keep an eye out, but I won't hold my breath that this manuscript will make it into a decent journal.

For your typical monger it's best just to avoid north Bogota altogether and stick to the Santa Fe area in the south, but if you have money to burn you could check out Lidos. I was there a month ago and there were a lot of 7 and 8 level girls, a couple of 9's but they were with other customers. It's 200 K COP exit fee (about $50 US just to take a girl out of the club. Last time I took a girl out of there was several years ago and paid about 500 K COP for 2 hours, so pretty expensive. Make sure you negotiate the fee before hand for several hours or all night. I've heard of tourists getting charged large amounts of money in the morning since they didn't speak much Spanish and didn't agree on a fee. If the girl is negotiating in US dollars you are pretty guaranteed to get ripped off.
There is no way to avoid buying at least one drink for yourself and the girl. Cheapest drinks are 40 K COP ($10 US) for you and probably twice that for the girl. But if these prices scare you, you probably shouldn't even visit this club. You can get at least 5 girls in Santa Fe area for the price of 1 in the north.
Another option is Flirt Hotel. I visited there several years ago and not sure if it's still open, although google says it is. You don't have to actually stay there to visit the girls, but you do have to call ahead of time and make an appointment to visit. When I called several years ago the person answering spoke English, but who knows if they will now.
This place operates like a casa in that when you arrive, you'll sit on a couch and they'll bring out girls in a lineup for you to choose from. There were about 10 girls and some stunners in the mix. There are rooms on site for you to take the girls and rooms are 5 star quality. Girls are 600 K COP for 30 minutes or 900 K COP for 1 hour, so very expensive. Close to US prices although you're dealing with much hotter girls than in the US.

I speak fluent Spanish and not new to the tactics of girls / the club adding fees so I know to strongly push back and confirm everything upfront, however doesn't sound too exciting with only a few 9's. - Get Woodman's tour. See it as a rite of passage if you will. Woodman is also a good guy who will have your back. You will quickly get a hang of how the area works.
- Try to go with someone. It makes for a more fun experience and probably safer. This board is a great tool to help you find wingmen.
- Dress down, there's no one to impress. Don't carry more belongings than you need.
- There is a lot of police and you might encounter one sooner or later and it's no big deal, the bark is usually worse than the bite. Seems to happen more past 11 pm.
- If you feel a bit overwhelmed by the streets, head to one of the clubs. Make friends with a mesero who will remember you and help you next time.
What makes Bogota a sin city is the amount of options available. SF, casas, prepagos, SA. Try them all and see what works for you. Not nearly as many options as São Paulo, but you could bang a different girl every day and barely scratch the surface. I've met some gems.
Started hanging out with a partygirl I met while working out, who also acts as my new tour guide and gives all the hot spots in town to check out. On that note, there's soo much more to the city than P2 P. Unsurprisingly, in a city of 8-9 M people.
For some fine dining, head to Osk Peru (Zona T), a Japanese Peruvian restaurant. A bit expensive by Colombian standards but place, food and service is excellent. Been there several times. Make sure to ask for the Nikkei Experience where the chef brings you one dish after the other (Omakase style). If you're with a girl, ask to be seated in the indoor garden, if you're alone sit at the bar. FYI hostess is smoking hot and plays hard to get.
Walk out of the restaurant and head to the nearby bars which are all walking distance on Carrera 13. Some of them have a pretty upscale local clientele. I'm pretty fluent in Spanish but these bars are where I found the most English speaking and well-travelled crowds. I won't expand much more as this forum is mainly about P2 P but this area is great to meet girls.

For anyone else interested in experiences like Osk Peru from Park's report try LEO on Calle 65 & Carrera 5. It's hidden, almost like a speakeasy but there's a big LEO sign on the wall and a doorman that will open a very well hidden door to the place. You can't just walk in off the street, they'll radio in and see if there's room before they let you in unless you have a reservation. It's the highest end dining I've seen in the city so far, I'd rate the quality on par with an upscale restaurant in Las Vegas or Miami.
On the 2nd floor there's an amazing bar / lounge that reminds me of my favorite place in Miami. 1st floor is the main dining area if you don't want to sit at the bar, but you may want to make a reservation as they get busy sometimes. A great place to chill and have drinks if you don't mind the cost. Expect to pay 35,000 for a drink but if you like that lounge upscale vibe then I recommend the 2nd floor bar.
Got in last night and made it okay to my hotel. Was able to meet a nice girl that helped with the taxi situation which seems pretty sketchy here for non-Spanish speakers. Can tell that my hotel (Residences HUB 72 on calle 72 and Carrera 26) isn't really close to anything but a nice gym it seems. Also not sure if it's chica friendly but I'm leaning no.
First thing's first is a sim card from Claro so I can use the Uber app. Hear too many horror stories about regular taxis especially for non-Spanish speakers. Even illegal Uber app but oh well. Can't walk everywhere.
If anyone knows a good apartment 2 bedrooms (so I can lock up my valuables) in an area that is walking distance to a gym and supermarket, that would be valuable info. I'm going to take a Spanish language course here too so any recommendations would be helpful on that as well.
I'm aware Medellin has better weather. Not looking to move to the tourist areas. I want to fly back and forth from Belgrade, Serbia with ease and without the connecting flights. Thanks again.

New report, only going to submit the ones worth mentioning. This one's a top performer, definitely worth a try.
1 h outcall for 160, I took the 20 extra for BBBJ because why the hell not even though I never finish from it. I paid for the Uber, so all in it was really like 200. Lastly I'll just say that mongering in the US sucks compared to here. It's like all downside no upside. Alright so I spent a week there in Colombia.
Visited Bog, mde and Cali, it was ok.
Different places were closed since the last time I went. Santa Fe is really busy by night.
The highlights for me were:
1st time I went to la mezzanine, I felt really overwhelmed by the girls all rushing on the balcony. I did not plan to stay but just visit out of curiosity. I also tested SA and got banned 2 times for unknown reasons the first day.
In retrospect, SA prob did you a favor by banning you. Hopefully you didn't already pay them. In Bogota specifically I find nothing special about SA. Yes, its possible that its me but I find its the same average girls looking for transaction that you will find on any prepagos site. Its possible maybe I haven't really looked hard enough because I get so many emails by the time that I respond to them I spent / wasted too much time on the site so I never had time to 'search' for myself.
Some findings: Lots of Venezolanas looking for transaction and simply charging more for obvious reasons. The women I find arent that hot or anything special. After a month in Colombia I went to DR and came back, The immigration officer didn't like this idea of using Colombia as travelling hub and start to ask super detail questions but let me go.

I'll quickly go through the gist of my trip. I was pissed off at one point because the response rate from girls that I'd met on cam sites was even lower than I'd expected. I am headed back to Colombia in January for my third time. I stay in Cartagena. There is a nice hotel in the walled city not far from the Clock tower and the triangle of pussy bars. I love it. I'm not there currently but I usually stay at Hotel de Lujo as I am a cheap ass and it is very low budget, however it is most likely to be sub-standard for most people. I think Hotel Europa across from where the police sub station use to be may be more acceptable (similar to Hotel Mary in Cúcuta as far as standards go). Not sure about their prices tho. Also there is Hotel Bogotá right on the corner of cra 13 and Calle 22 which I have walked probably 100 times but I haven't stayed there yet, it may be worth checking out.

In Feb, I'll be flying from Cartagena back to the US with a 5. 5 HR layover in Bogota. Being that I don't have to clear customs since I'm coming from Cartagena (please correct if I'm wrong on this), where can I go to get a good 1 HR fuck in? Showdown.Every airline including majors has cancelled flights this year. Some things are beyond their control, other things aren't.
If the price is significantly lower and the schedule works for you, I'd fly Spirit in a heartbeat. Make sure to buy an exit raw or, better yet BFS in front of the plane. Doesn't cost that much but makes a world of difference because unless you're a contortionist, you'll be miserable in a regular Spirit seat.

The fares are dirt cheap until you add bags, pick a seat ETC. I got a buddy who uses them and just buys cheap clothes when he gets to Colombia as it is cheaper than packing a bag. I think you pay like $100 often to have a suitcase round trip with Colombia.
Xpartan is right in that the seats suck, but they are okay if you are thinner. You have the least amount of leg room of any of the airlines though. I have had some miserable Spirit flights. And he is right about upgrading. With the big seats, you are getting like a first class seat and it is usually between only $50 and $80 more.
The other part that sucks with Spirit is you are going to be waiting way longer in line than any other airline. Their computer system sucks!! When they say show up 3 hours early, you do so. The lines are horrible!
Thing with Spirit though is that when I am making my flight plans, I think I can endure Spirit for the cost savings, then I go to the airport and curse using them, then I get home and say "Eh, that was not so bad."
If it is 50% cheaper on Spirit, I say to go for it and use it. If it is 20% cheaper, I would say to use a different airline. Really the best deal is using Viva to fly from Miami to Medellin not Spirit. That flight just does not always show up when you do searches.

Took a cab drive on Ave Caracas from Santa Fe district North to Chapinero with wingman in the morning. The casas are off Ave Caracas around Calle 67 on West side.

Candelria area is much cleaner and safer than Santa Fe with lots of hotels here for $20-50 and hostels in the old town on the East side, a cultural area worth staying in. Use booking sites to reserve cancelable rooms and walk around checking rooms to make sure they meet your need. Santa Fe is only 1 mile from here, cab rides should cost 4000 Cops or $1.

Hotel Europa is small, about 6 rooms, on calle 23 one and a half short blocks West of hotel San Francisco, right at the edge of the red-light district. I had street girls walk here for extra propinas.

The hotel is fully booked while I was there. 1 block West is 3-star hotel Oceanna, but priced at $49 most time.You are talking hotel Oceania right? You can use booking.com with them, but I heard they were not guest friendly.

Not in Colombia at the moment but talked to my guy I've know for years who works at Atunes and he confirmed this is now required there. Talked to another guy who's at one of the after hour places in SF and he said no proof needed.

I will be staying close to Santa Fe..Depending on where you're staying geographically, your best bets for exchanges would be either in / near Hotel Tequendama (Calle 32 ish with Carrera 7) or closer to La Candelaria near Calle 19 with Carerra 5 ish further down from the Las Aguas bus station.
Maybe somebody else knows, but I can't remember ever seeing an exchange in SF and nor would I want to use it for security reasons even if there was one. Although it is possible to pay in USD at places in SF, the exchange rates I've been quoted are beyond absurd.
Don't dress flashy and draw attention to yourself. If you've never been to SF at all (especially at night), I would highly recommend taking a taxi at least the first time and just driving around for a bit to get your bearings on your way to the usual suspects like Troya, Atunes, Paisas, etc.

Thanks.The Avenida Chile Shopping Center and Financial, in Chapinero on Calle 72 #10-34, is full of money exchanges. It is a big building and the money exchanges are on the top floor. Sometimes money exchanges will ask for passport, but last time I went to this builing, the first exchange I approached did not require, but it's recomended to have passport handy, least have to go back to hotel for it. This building and its environs are largely secure and can exchange money any day of the week.
Watch out for fake bills in any case if you can spot them. Once somebody gave me a fake 20 K bill for change, I don't know exactly where or when it happened, but it showed up in my money pile.
