I have stayed in Bogota for 4 weeks now, but except last time I did not monger for the simple reason that I had imported 2 Peruvian girls for some nice threesomes. Many of you will say that bringing foreign girls to Colombia is madness, but I had good time. Still, after one week of well deserved rest I was ready to try the Santa Fe block. I am lucky to have a business colleague who has some experience and a car. So this report is for the newbies like me who had little idea of what to expect: The famous El Castillo, Dollhouse and Piscina are impossible to miss. There is good and polite security before allowing you inside. I staid at the El Castillo, which is big and gloomy. In my view, it is not a nice, pleasant place. There are many girls available, who will suggest you the cheap COP 80, 000 ($ 45) price, but for a very miserable 20 minutes. This is not what I like, I want a full night – find a friendly, good-humoured and well-behaved girl, chat, cuddle a bit, and have a few sex sessions. I was suggested then some ridiculous prices of COP 100, 000 for "la multa" (barfine) + COP 300, 000 for the girl. So I left. And now I give you what I think is a very good tip: Talk to the boy of the parking lot just in front of the El Castillo. He will introduce you with some girls from El Castillo and Dollhouse who are ready to go out. I gave a price of COP 200, 000 (US$ 120) for the whole night, everything included. He introduced me to 3. OK, they were more in 5 to 6 scale, not like some models in the bars. I selected one of them, we agreed for COP 250, 000 – no tip, no game, until the morning, OK? She asked me to pay in advance so she could give the multa to the bar – I usually don’t like it, but here the girl went back to Dollhouse, and came back after 1 minute, ready to go. COP 10, 000 ($ 6) tip to the boy who was very pleased and there we go. It is better than having to pay a drink to each girl you propose.
The girl was quite good, as I wanted. One of her girl-friends was a pain in calling her five times to leave me and join her, but as promised, she said no and turned off the phone. No game, no money stolen, 3 sessions, clean, cuddling, charming, good conversation and she is no stupid as she study accounting. Only problem is that she would do only cover blow job, no bare-back blow job.
Ah, I forgot: she was snoring all night. Difficult to sleep.
So remember: the parking lot.

Hey, I'm looking to make a return trip to Bogota (search my last report in June/July timeframe) after sampling Panama City and Dom Rep. Looking at the May-June time frame for 10-14 days. Was planning to stay in Zona Rosa as last time, but am considering Santa Fe as it seems to have made a resurgence in recommendations on this board. As a novice spanish speaker though, should I still stay in Zona Rosa and just taxi out to Santa Fe district to hobby?
Also, I noticed that the exchange rate is at about 1800pesos/dollar. That is about 200 pesos different than last year at the same time I'm planning to travel. Have regular travelers felt that difference in your hobbying? I definitely don't want to pay more than 150k for a TLN, but, I'm opening up more to a short time on the premises as an cheaper option.
I was trying to hold out for Medellin with some of my friends, but they wussed out and I don't want to go alone, plus it seems a little more overpriced.
Looking forward to words of wisdom to aid in my planning. BTW, I looked at this forum all the way back to September, so, I have a good idea of what's been said, which has been really helpful.

RodeoI think staying in S Fe is only slightly more insane than going there solo. But I believe I'm alone in thinking that so knock yourself out.
You know there are other options for hotels apart from these two locations? Check out the messages for other options.
And don't neglect the massajistas. For this tight-wad they offer better value for your p4p dollar than many other options.
You should not even think about staying in Santa Fe. Forget about it! I stayed downtown, but would not even do that again. Stay in Zona Rosa, and cab it to "the district".

Today I went to the Colombian Visa agency which is next to the Embassy of Holland here in Bogota on 93 street. The purpose of my visit was to get my Cedula renewed. I was with my novia from Bogota. Across the street is a photocopy shop, I entered and was waiting while my novia ordered copies. On my right I saw the ass end of a couple of very cute Columbianas. They were filling out papers. The only reason these chicas would be here was to get a visa to work on one of the Dutch islands. I tried to see the faces of the chicas since one had a memorable figure. She turned to look at me and –WHAT THE FUCK--- it was my novia from Pereira. I knew she was going to Aruba to work in 10 days and I was going to visit with her. I put my finger over my lips and she turned back around. What a close call. I still need to explain what I was doing in Colombia as she thought I was still in the USA. What the hell of the chances of that happening. This gives a new meaning to CHICA MANAGEMENT

You should not even think about staying in Santa Fe. Forget about it! I stayed downtown, but would not even do that again. I stayed in Candelaria district and liked it: nice area with universities, museums, restaurants, coffeeshops, sights. A 20 min walk from santa fe red light district.

But it is not safe at night -- I've had friends mugged at knife point there.
It wouldn't stop me staying at some of those hotels though, if I could afford 'em.
I solved the problem.
I just made up a logical story which was accepted.
I will be visiting with her later this month in Aruba.
She is really crazy for me. she even changed her e-mail address last year to the same as mine.

I was in Bogota for a weekend about 3 weeks ago and stayed at Hotel Charlies. The room ran me about $70 a night and it included free internet and breakfast. The rooms were not too bad and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not charge me extra or taking my novia to my room every night. I took a cab to most places but it was not far from the hot spots. I would stay there again.

I figured what the heck, I am on a flight to Curacao, with an overnight layover to ST Martin. So I figure there must be at least one chica at the departure gate that is going to work. You can find the girls (and many trannies! ) in Santa Fe, which is east of Av Caracas and around Calles 22-24. It is the Transmilenio Stop Calle 22. Just get off the bus, walk towards the centro and then on the right hand side you can see the girls already standing in the doorways of their houses.
I was walking there in the afternoon and it was quite safe, or at least I felt safe, but I would never go there in at night! Some girls/ trannies were aggressive and tried to pull me into their doorways, some lowered their top and showed their titts. Since I was alone and had my camera equipment with me I didn’t investigate further. And I would only do it with a back-up. Waiting outside for me to return.
Only a few of the girls were really doable in my opinion. The rest old and fat!

Mate Bogota is the most happening city in Colombia. You fucked up, because everybody leaves for Easter Weekend. I mean everybody.

But as I was a tourist at day time, this area was the best for me, could walk to sights at daytime, walk over to santa fe in the afternoon for an afternoon quickie, then walk back. Walk to santa fe around 8PM again for the night and then can back to hotel in the morning.

During my strolls through Bogota I found these 2 spots. There were some guys at the TransMilenio Stops that handout little flyers with the addresses. TransMilenio Stop Calle 76!
1. Pasarella Show, Av. 13 (Av. Caracas), No 73-28, 2ndo piso
On the flyer they promote 30 bailarinas but when I was there (was the Thursday before the Easter weekend) only 8 chicas were there! All young and doable! The perform a strip on a stage. Beer costs 3. 000 Pesos. Rooms are available. Cost for 20 minutes was 30. 000 Pesos! Chose a beautiful morena. 20yo and her name was Angie!
But: she didn't allow DFK nor DATY and also didn't want to perform a CBJ. I think she knows that she is the star of this club. ! So I just f**ed her. I will post some pictures soon!
2. Just 2 houses next to Pasarella: Clapton Bar y Wiskeria, Av. 13 (Caracas), No 73-46 just a seedy bar with some girls. When I was there 5 girls were available, but not that beautiful. Beer was 3. 000 Pesos, a girl and room was 27. 000 pesos for 27 minutes (don't ask me why they have these odd numbers). Chose 26yo Esmeralda (una negra). I will post some pictures soon!

I have been living in Bogota more than a Year. I have been to mongering places all over Europe (like the Yab Yum in Amsterdam) USA and Mexico.
I have to say that one of the main reasons of choosing to live in Bogota is the quality of the girls.
I have always sticked to la Piscina and la Piscina de Dia, El castillo all of them in Barrio Santa Fe. I have also been To Bar Shivago aka. Juan Pablo Karaoke, lancaster in zona rosa.
I read a post here about "las paisas" so I decided to venture There. Since Girls From Medellin are very sexy looking and their accents drive me wild I tought I would have a great Time there. MAYOR Dissapointment.
"Las Paisas" Is 3 Blocks west From the 22 transmilenio station. I went There on February 22nd at 11 pm. I went there by car I usually park at "la Piscina's " Parking Lot, I asked for advice to the parking guy about walking in the zone at that night and he sayed that thieves were all arround the block and told me to be careful. I walked the 2 blocks and I can confirm that lots of people were there mostly drunk but I saw no problemes.
Upon arrival to "Las Paisas" I was Forced to pay 5 000 Pesos as a bar cover charge wich included a national Beer. It was Very Crowded with a 20 male to female ratio. Most of the people were lower class drunk workers wich made the ambient not so nice. And the Worst part is that the quality of girls was a huge dissapointment. There were like 15 girls all of them rankin 2 to 4. I saw only one 7.
I have to say there was no place to sit and the music was lousy, so I stayed there less than 10 minutes and decided to go to "La Piscina" that never dissapoints me.
Stick to la Piscina. Is the best in Santa Fe.

Hi!
I was in Bogota for Easter Sunday and the Place was DEAD! Las Paisas, La Piscina, Lac Cster all were closed.
So I decided to go to Zona Rosa to see non pros but everything waS closed.
In Carrera 15 and 94 I found a street Walker. She went in my car and she made me do a wrong turn. Unfortunatelly police men were behind me so I was Asked to pull over.
I am Mexican Living in Colombia but I have no Cedula de Extranjeria, so the cops asked for my drivers license, Mexican I. D and the Cars documents.
They asked us to get out of the car and then She street walker was recognised by them. I thought I was Busted and Fucked, but to my Surprise she sayed: I was the one that told him to to the wrong turn. He is with me. The cops evidently knew she was street walker and after finding nothing bad with me or the car they let us go with out any ticket or problem!
Man Bogota is really Coke friendly, hooker friendly and tourist Friendly.
I have never had such good luck with law enforcement in any other part of the World.

You weren't breaking any laws, besides the wrong turn. Prostitution is LEGAL there.
LOL, this is Colombia, dude. :) Prostitution is LEGAL! You didn't do anything wrong.
Most important thing, you had all your documents with you and in order, that's why the cops were cool with you. One time, me and my Colombian buddy were coming back from a night of clubbing in Chia and he drove us back to the city like an old lady because he didn't have his cedula with him. He has a very nice car too, so he knew he would draw attention.
Do NOT drink and drive, that will get you into huge trouble! I know a traffic cop in Bogota and that is definitely something they are cracking down on big time. They also occasionally crack down on the "piques" i.e., street racing that occurs in certain isolated carreras way up north in the city. Other people told me about these crackdowns as well, not just the cop.
They probably just stopped you to check if you were drunk. I doubt they were looking for drugs, but as a foreigner, I would be a bit careful about that. Hookers shouldn't be any problem at all, as long as the girl in your car is at least 18 of course!
I have been to Bogota a haf a dozen times (for work) and my favorite place to find a chica is Juan Pablo/Shivago. I like this place because the girls are not so agressive, one can always find a nice girl, the environment is very "normal" and the only option is to take them back to your hotel. (I don't like places where they have rooms).
Is Juan Pablo the only bar in Bogota with this style?

Out of curiousity I checked out an age of consent site and it said 14, but I have seen a number of people refer to 18 as the age of consent.
Since I tend to prefer women in their mid 20's, after they've gained some experience and skills, this is unlikely to be an issue for me, but I do admit to being curious about the issue, and if this is true it might take out some of the uncertainty for me around some chicas that I might be attracted to. As it is now I automatically discount women who might be questionable of around 18-19 yrs, but generally speaking it would be much easier to distinguish between a 19 yr old and a 14 yr old, ID or not.
Still, I definitely advocate being sure of the age of the girl you're with. That's just common sense. Nobody wants to rot in a South American prison! :)

It's 14 but it's 18 if you are paying for it. Which means as a foreigner you better stick with 18 and up unless you are seriously planning to marry the girl!
That's good to know. In any case I always ask to see ID from anyone that I think might be questionable in the age department. It's amazing how mature or how old some teenagers can look after having been around the block a few times and all made up.
Better safe than sorry! That's not something I want to play around with at all.
One more question. With respect to ID will the local authorities accept a copy of your passport? For example when I'm in CR I get a card-sized laminated copy of my passport that I carry around with me as ID that's accepted everywhere, provided it also has the entry visa page as well. Makes a nice wallet-sized two-sided ID, and I get to leave my actual passport locked up in a safe, where it never comes out until it's time to leave for home.
Will the Colombians accept a copy of the passport or must I carry the real thing around? If a copy is acceptable do you require the copy of the entry stamp or just the main details?

I have only ever been asked to produce id once: when travelling on inter-municipal buses. I can think of no earthly reason why you would risk carrying it with you otherwise.
I suggest a copy would do just fine.A friend of mine had to pay off a police office USD 200 once as he did not carry a passport. It was not in Bogota though. After that I started carry a copy of my passport. Not sure if that actually will help if you get stopped by a police officer who really only wanna make some money.
My spanish is fair and getting better.
I write instant messages to my friends for about 2 hours nightly.

A friend of mine had to pay off a police office USD 200 once as he did not carry a passport. It was not in Bogota though. After that I started carry a copy of my passport. Not sure if that actually will help if you get stopped by a police officer who really only wanna make some money.I'm not sure either. I never stray far from my passport just in case, but neither do I carry it with me when I can leave it in a safe. If a usd 200 fine every so often might be the price of that it sounds like money well spent, though a trip to the police complaints office next to Andino mall would be my next stop "pour encourage les autres" or, more appropriately perhaps, décourager les autres.

I'd advise every tourist never to walk around with their passport. Only comes out for official business, i.e. air travel, military roadstops, in-branch banking, cellular phone offices, etc., then goes right back into a secure location/compartment. A clear passport copy should suffice any other situation, along with a driver's license.
I'd call local police on it if they insist on the actual passport.
You'd be much much better off losing a driver's license abroad, than having to go thru the dry assfuck of obtaining another passport at the US Embassy in Bogota.
Don't carry your passport. If you lose it, it could be quite a nightmare of a situation. Especially do NOT carry your passport if you're vacationing outside of Bogota. Should you lose it, I think your only recourse is the U.S. embassy in Bogota.
Make 2 laminated copies of your passport and always carry one of them with you. Leave your passport in your safe or hidden/secured somewhere in your room / apartment.

I saw the Post from Novio recomending this place. When arrived I was surprised to see the small massage parlor. If you go to abejitas or one relax they are huge in comparison. The locale only has one light, therefore the division beetween the 2 massages beds is made by a walll that does not touch the ceiling, so everything can be heared.

Not me, but a couple of people I know. YES watch your drink. And don't be fooled that it's just in Bogota. It's all over Colombia and has been used in neighboring nations too.
In general, Bogota is quite a bit safer than Medellin and MUCH safer than Cali but it's still not Disneyland.

The problem is reputed to get worse in the run up to xmas as economic pressure grows on the poor to respond to advertiser's demands.

my brother's colleague's son and d'-in-law went on honeymoon to guadalajara. both mature 25 year olds with some spanish ability. they decided to take in some local culture and so went off the beaten path to some local cantina and both got scoped. the criminals made an incision under the boy's arm and bled him out a predetermined amount in order to incapacitate him.
the old man gets a call from some people in mexico telling him that they "found" his boy and that they want to "help" but that it will cost $25,000 to do so. before it was all over and the boy and girl were home the final amount paid was $30,000. besides the psychological scars that both must carry, the criminals nicked a nerve when they made the incision so he has some permanent nerve damage manifested in his lower arm & hand.
i don't know all the details and like most experienced latin america travelers i was skeptical of the circumstances but still, it happened.
i also remember a post on this forum from a dude who related the story of how he got scoped in a bar in san diego, ca. he said it was by some overly friendly girls and that he was wearing an expensive rolex. luckily, his girlfriend went looking for him and found him before anything really bad happened.
moral of the story: be on guard for it anywhere. drink soda or beer from bottles. don't let drinks out of your sight. especially when alone or with unknowns.

Gentlemen,
I have an 11.5 hour layover in BOG from 10 a.m. to 9:25 p.m. I have not been to Colombia, but I'd like to get out and have a quick sampling of what Colombia has to offer. After researching the boards, I've found that I should have enough time to do this given my layover, and that this is relatively common.
My questions are these:
1) Will I have to bring all of my luggage with me, or can I check my checked luggage before heading out?
2) I would like to session with one chica and have dinner at a nice restaurant during my time there. Can anyone recommend where I should go? (It's in the middle of the week.)
3) Ideally, I would like to find a driver to hang out with me that afternoon, take me to/from the airport, and to/from wherever I go outside. Any ideas what this will run, and can you recommend anyone?

"I've lost weight since I've been in Colombia. It must be all the drugs," says the American backpacker, loudly, seeming to put special emphasis on the last word to make sure everyone in the Bogota hostel's common room can hear. "That, and the sex."
"2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate? Cocaine!" retorts his new-found English compadre, much to the bafflement of onlookers.
It's 6pm on a Saturday and the pair, with a Swede in tow, are getting ready to go out into Bogata and score. Five minutes ago, it was a hostel scene like any other the world over: travellers congregating to eat dinner, swap tips, catch up on emails. Now it's taken a surreal turn and become Nathan Barley does Colombia.
It's hardly shocking that some travellers in Colombia can't resist trying the country's most famous product, but it seems the drug is becoming a tourist attraction in itself. Just as you try steak in Argentina and caipirinhas in Brazil; in Colombia, you sample the coke.
Backpackers are doing lines in their dorms, signing up to visit cocaine factories, and word is going round that somewhere in San Augustin lies a place where you can make your own. Meanwhile, the six-day trek to the Ciudad Perdida (one of the country's most talked about trips) often includes a photo stop at a "cocaine factory". It may be little more than a table, set up for the benefit of tourists, but that, in itself, seems to further distance travellers from the serious reality of the country's problems.
"It was hilarious," one Mancunian backpacker said after his visit to the makeshift factory. "Just like Blue Peter. I kept expecting them to say, 'Here's one we made earlier'." After the demonstration of the initial pulping process, the group had a chance to smoke the drug. "It wasn't great stuff," he said, "but you could feel it."
A few years ago, only the most intrepid travellers would add Colombia to their South American itinerary; now it's the most talked about destination on the continent. Most visits to Colombia are, as the Foreign Office says, trouble-free. Most are drug-free, too, except perhaps for the caffeine in the spectacular Zona Cafetera region, or perhaps a shot of local firewater, Aguardiente, in the hip bars and restaurants of Bogota or Medellin.
However, for a growing minority, it's the country's dangerous reputation that has become the attraction, with these travellers seeming intent on pushing boundaries to get good stories to email home. ("The FARC are nearby? Cool!" I heard an Irish backpacker say.)
German Escobar (presumably no relation to the country's infamous late druglord) has run a hostel in Bogota for 15 years. The homepage of his website features a prominent plea asking travellers not to do drugs in his home country and to be aware of the trouble they are causing. ("If not for your own well-being, we would encourage you to refrain from supporting violence against the Colombian people by purchasing cocaine.") German says this generally filters out the biggest users, the majority of travellers are respectful and he loves his job, but he has still seen his fair share of problems over the years.
"The type of traveller coming to Colombia is changing," he says. "When we first started, it was like a family. It was a high-risk destination so there was solidarity among travellers. Now, a lot more people are here just to party."
German has some horrifying stories of travellers whose touristic dabblings have turned into something much darker. There was an English girl who became a user and then a dealer, before running up huge debts "with the type of people you don't mess around with". "She came back to visit the hostel one day very high, threatening to kill herself, and I had to wrestle the knife off her in the kitchen," he says. Tragically, at the end of last year, a 22-year-old British male, high on drugs, followed through with his threat.
Blood, drugs and death is exactly the image Colombia is trying to get away from. The government is making a concerted effort to try to clean up its international reputation (with the help of Blur-bassist-turned-cheese-farmer Alex James) and the tourism board has a direct, new slogan, "Colombia: the only risk is wanting to stay".
Unfortunately, try as they might to get people to reassess this beautiful but complicated country, some backpackers seem intent on making their own risks.

You sound as if your stop-over in BOG is for a connecting flight. I would have my checked bags marked for my final destination and then all you are responsible for is your carryon.

Started at La Piscina in Santa Fe at around midnight. I was hoping to find some stunners who hadn't made their money for the night. Unfortunately it was mainly the dregs. I like the "hooker with a heart of gold" type and these were just burnt out hookers. The ticket here is that you must go early to these clubs. The hot girls take 2 or 3 dicks and then leave.

I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza which is actually walking distance from the Santa Fe action, although I don't recommend walking at night. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and went to La Piscina at around 10pm.
I sat down and watched a cute spinner for about 10 minutes. Nobody was approaching her, but they were taking her friends to the room. That should have been a signal. I invited her for a drink. Her name was Alejandra. She didn't seem too friendly at first, but warmed up a little. We negotiate for BBBJ and DFK for a 40 mil tip. I paid the 100 mil for the room and off we went. When I get to the room, she insists on a 100 mil tip and was acting very skiddish. I realized this wasn't going to be a GFE at that point, and I got dressed and left. She was fairlly surprised and asked me to come back. I went to the payment desk and asked for a refund. We negotiated for a while and they ended up giving me 60 mil back which was fine with me.
I checked out numerous other bars. Most had no cover and cheap beer. Mostly fun/friendlly girls, but nobody caught my eye for a couple hours. Finally, I ended up at a very small bar with only a couple girls, but they were cute. I wish I remembered the name of the club. I took one for 20 mil (house fee) with a negotiated 60 mil tip for her. She was the opposite of Alejandra. A total GFE and didn't ask for the tip before or even after. I left the tip money on the bed while she was dressing and wished her well.

Granted, a lot of the beautiful women I've met in Bogota were orginally from Cali or Medellin. I like the weather more in Bogota than I thought I would. It's not a cool as I was expecting. Very cloudy though. I haven't noticed a difference in cost. Not sure where you got this "house fee" from. In Sante Fe, outside of the minimum cover charges to enter a few places, there's only one fee. What you pay for a session. The house fee comes out of that. At La Piscina, maximum, 70.000 pesos, and that's to the top chicks. Anything more, and you're getting fleeced.
Tips???? Yeah right. No need to ask me. The chicas are very indifferent and spend a lot of time with them. And most of the chicas, if comfortable, are still very GFE. Money alone doesn't make them comfortable.
El Castillo should run you no more than 70.000-80.000 pesos per session on site. There is no separate fee for the room in either place.
The other places in Sante Fe should run you no more than 50.000 pesos at most on site. Most of the other places go between 25.000-35.000 pesos. House fee included. IF you decide to give a tip, do not mention to her at all. She'll play you for a mark. Just give 5.000 pesos, or offer to buy her a drink (Red Bull) later.
Again, this isn't a knock. Just information from someone very experienced down there. Don't get taken.

I've done as much research as I could searching the forum. Looks like I want to play in the Santa Fe area but stay elsewhere. Had some difficulty locating some of the hotels with an internet search even with the web addresses, not important. Got a list of strip clubs, bars, dance clubs etc.
Has anyone used Bogota Casa to rent an apt. from? If so, I would like to hear about your experience.They have a few units in the Chapinero(did not see this area mentioned in the forum), Zona Rosa and Parque 93 areas which were mentioned many times in the forum to be ok.
This will be my first trip to Colombia after various trips to other destinations. Got to try it at least once:)

tomi'm gonna preface by saying santa fe is not a safe area. you may dodge bullets and not have a problem, but not advisable to keep taking chances. no need to ask me, just ask the doormen at any of the establishments. they'll tell you the latest fleece job. sometimes gringos, mostly colombians. you hear the glory stories on boards like this, but you rarely hear the horror stories.
i usually don't session in-house down there. usually only tln take-out. i hate time limits and rush service. sometimes i partake onsite, but generally i don't. after approx. 5 years, i've yet to pay more than 100.000-150.000 pesos for tln with santa fe, taking chicas back to my hotel in the north. most of them will stay as long as you wish, if they're comfortable. some have stayed the entire next day with me until it was time to head back to work. no $$$ extra, except 10.000 for the taxi back down there.
piscina and castillo require a salida of approx. 70.000-150.000 pesos for the girls to leave. to me, that's ridiculous. some of the other clubs down do not have a salida, but the girls prefer to work up to as close as possible to closing to maximize their nightly take. if their nights are slow, they will consider other alternatives. if you're a late night person like me, you can offer to meet them at fortaleza after work, circumventing the salida.
there are several ways to take out down there, all of which would require a more than decent working knowledge of spanish. you gotta be able to hold a conversation with them, even make them laugh. as i previously stated, money alone generally doesn't move the needle. if the chicas aren't comfortable with you, they won't go, and for obvious reasons. they get robbed and raped a lot. it happens, as the nature of the area. these chicks make cash, thieves know this well. it's not in a girl's best interest to leave her comfort zone down there with an incommunicable stranger. many of the girls there haven't even been outside of sante fe, much less zona rosa and parque 93. most don't have proper clothes to blend in up there.
if you're determined to still give it a go, here's a few tricks:
one, talk to the doormen or your waiter. this generally only works if they know you or your face, or another girl can vouch for you.
two, talk to the girl directly. have her join you at your table. hopefully, you've got a half-bottle of rum or guaro, and a can of red bull. that alone should only run you about 50.000 pesos. let her know your interest in tln and see where it goes from there.
three, go to the after-hours spots down there. there's one across frm la casona. i forget the name. but a lot of chicas from the clubs end up there. there's also fortaleza, which is a 3-5 minute cab ride up av. caracas. this is the better option, as some of the piscina and castillo girls head there after work. talk to the chicks you are interested in, maybe even dance with her, buy her an overpriced drink. see what she's talking about. no salida at fortaleza.
my personal rule, not trying to preach to anyone, is that i don't mess with street or hotel chicas down there. it's so easy to get a job at these bars. all they gotta do is show id and test clean for stds. if they aren't working in one of many places down there, something ain't right.

El Coral Gourmet should never be underrated. There's a good place on the north side of the square that has terrace seating: name escapes me right now. El Khalifa's good, esp when they've got belly dancing on. Casa Mexicana just off the ZR.
Or show her you're into her culture by taking her to one of the Paisa restaurants (Acacias? ). There's one at the top of K11 just south of 100. Another just of K15 near Unicentro, another in Galerias. Tip the musicians to play for you.

I just got back from a quick 2 day stop in BOG. It has been over a year since I went there for my friend's wedding in BAQ. Took a few guys new to Colombia and they had a blast. We played in Santa Fe with a stop at Abejitas, which was a hit with the Rio boys. They loved the professionalism at Abejitas even though it was pricey with the weak dollar but being regulars in Rio these days they are use to it. Also, it was a welcome convenience to be able to get SIM cards at the Tigo stand at the airport outside customs.
Great talent at Atunes. As usual had a blast at La Casona. Las Paisas was pretty weak when we went and the skunk beer we got with the cover turned the crew off the place. El Castillo seemed dreary, I was a bit dissappointed because of it had been one of my favorite places. We got reemed on drinks at La Piscina where a bottle of Caldas was 38000 pesos more than the next expensive place and the girls were a bit too aggressive on Friday night but the newbies wanted to see it. Decent food outside if you have the late night munchies even though it can take a while to get your food. Despite the dismal atmosphere at Castillo Saturday, one of the newbie got a perfect GFE, decent price for the place, spoke great english, educated enough to have a good conversation and dressed in a manner that allowed her to blend in when he took her to Zona Rosa. Not to mention a very cute paisa.
There was a hottie in La Piscina del dia, hottest one in place when we were there, that provided a stellar performance and was very affectionate at the table. A true pro.
The quote I got in Fortaleza was 100, 000 pesos with a 30, 000 salida. We had a blast, had some late night Sanchocho and one of the newbies fell in love for the night. Excellent GFE, who waited for him sleep off a long night of partying before staying with him into the afternoon.
I like the changes at the airport, it took us 1 hour from hotel to the gate. I remember my first trip in 2002 where it took us 3 hours from arriving at the airport to getting to gate. It has gotten better over the years but this was the best I have experienced. Although since I don't check bags it would have been nice if the added an escalator in renovations. Small quibble.
Small note, used to be I rarely had issues with what taxistas charge but now it seems to be a bit more common, maybe caused by increase tourism, that you need to pay attention to what they are charging. While it won't break you, they are now trying to charge above what rate chart says.

Staying in el centro, about 8 or 9 blocks from the action in santa fe. Went for a walk about 9 am. Found a nice little chica for 25K that would do oral sin condon. I'm planning on going to Bogota, is there any cheap prices to get there, how about time, hotels, and of course information on the ladies in general all the information will be appreciated. By the way I'm planning on going within the next 2 months. I read most of the information but it's from 2, 3 or more months ago.If you're in Texas, Continental from Houston to Bogota is your best bet. Start and end there for air travel. Going thru Miami, LA, NYC, or ATL would be a complete waste of time.

Bogota is the hidden gem in my books. Now I’ve heard much about Cali and I’m looking forward to giving everyone my 411 version. To start, for some strange reason, some things are cheaper and some things are more expensive in this city of 8 million people. A little advise to all, learn the public transportation system (transmilenio). It’s cheap. Plus if you took the wrong bus, the only thing you lost is time, not money. I’ve read some, not all the postings from Bogota and I gotta admit, the red light district (santa fe) is pretty big. My first stop off transmilenio was calle 19. You gotta watch it, cause there’s a lot of trannies in this area. One brushed my hair as I strolled by and said in a deep voice "Que Rico". I brisked away as I yelled "What the fuck! " Walk towards calle 22 and it gets better. Sure I went inside the usual places like La Piscina and El Castillo. I liked it but at the same time, I wanted to leave. I’m not much of a person to pay exit fees plus the girl plus drinks. So I went to a place I think was called "Latinas Club", around the vicinity of La Piscina. Met a young 19yr old, Yady, bought her one beer and the rest was mine. I’ve never seen a Colombian with blue eyes. Made good conversation. She’s a freshman from a nearby university. Big plate of pulled pork with rice cost 3500col. Not bad since it tasted like the best thing in the world. TGIF, Chili’s, Denny’s and all those places can kiss my ass. Street food is by far the best thing you can do. It builds character and you feel great afterwards. Till next time.

Ok folks listen to my story and I'm sure all of you'll be able to relate. I'm not one to criticise others for inflating prices because in my month in Colombia this January on two occasions I got so drunk that I was handing out pesos like an idiot. Here's what happened:
I fly through Bogota to get to Cartagena from canada the flight arrives late at night and its hard to catch the last flight to Cartagena so like before I opted to stay at a hostel for the night, I've stayed there before the Hotel El Dorado it's right near hostel platypus, it cost 20, 000 plus 5, 000 for guests.
I walked out of Eldorado airport around 10 pm I had pounded back 20 beers since they started serving on the plane luckily the Aguilas from the mall upstairs are nice and watery so I was able to keep functioning, I didn't get a taxi from the que because I'm 300 lbs 6'4 and do stupid things when I'm drunk. A paisa taxi guy agreed to 15, 000 to take me to the hotel in candelaria on the way I was explaining to him how I was gonna be doing a girl that night and he wanted to take me to the centro to show me where I should go he was selling me on La Piscina I agreed to swing by and see the place. Sure enough we started cruising around the two blocks of streets around La Piscina full of street walkers. I made him stop and I rolled down the window and called over a petite girl who in the night light and beer fog looked amazing. I negotiated with her for all night for 100, 000 she agreed but wanted me to bring her friend who was hiding in the shadows so we settled on 225, 000 but with all the photos I could take then we went to the hotel. My taxi was not happy he never dreamed I'd bring home street walkers I think he envisioned the meter running all night. We got there and the Hotel Dorado is a hole in the wall and the room was like a cell you can hear moaning and groaning from every room. The manager remembered me from the year before and was worried I'd get rolled by these girls, I told him don't let 'them leave unless I say so. Up in the room I asked the girls if they do drugs and they said NO! , . Then I said well if you do I don't mind I'll even buy you some, they were all delighted and then they wanted to. I gave one of them 20, 000 to go get some coke. We went outside to have a few more beers in the bar next door the other arrived with the coke and they each started to take turns going to the bathroom and doing it. I only got them the stuff cause I thought maybe it would make the night more fun, I guess it only does if you do it too. After about an hour in the bar they started blabbing and blabbing and blabbing we stayed there till about 3 am they each drank a bottle of agua ardiente I wanted to leave sooner but they kept wanting to stay until they each finished telling me their life stories and sang the lyrics of another 20 stupid latin rock ballads. I kept fondling the first petite girl because she was hotter and her friend seemed to be cool with the fact that I preferred her, I gave them some bull about being in Bogota for a month and we were gonna spend the month together. I spent easily 250, 000 pesos in the bar. Anyway we finally went up to the room to do the business and started with the photo shoot. I locked all my valuables in my suitcase so they couldn't rip me off while I was taking a dump. They both gave me BBBJ then I rode the hot one while the other fondled my balls when I wanted to do the other one who by the way started to look a whole lot hotter than my original choice she wanted to change the condom. This made the petite girl jelous and she started talking to my new favorite girl while I was riding her and I just wanted her to shut up. After I blew my load they really started to argue and she seemed angry. The two girls started blabbing again and the old favorite girl started crying and sobbing about her kids. That actually was what turned me off the two of them they had nice bodies and faces but they both had some nasty stretch marks. After some more agua ardiente my new favorite managed to calm down my old favorite and she pushed my head down to her box for me to dine at the y, . Yeah right, I just fingered her and she was moaning and suddenly the blabber mouth shut up cause she was carefully trying to slip the camera under her shoes. I saw it all. When we arrived at the room earlier we settled up I gave 120, 000 to each of them and it was hilarious how they looked at each other like they didn't trust each other not to steal. So when I saw my old favorite trying to steal my camera I got up and said ok ladies party's over! I actually had to physically push them out of the room. They hated leaving that room full of pesos. I could hear them downstairs yelling and screaming with the manager for what seemed like an hour. He kept coming up knocking on my door and telling me that the ladies wanted to talk to me. I said get rid of them and he explained that he was afraid they'd break the glass on the door. Sorry man what do you want me to do? A little while later he came back and told me the police were there and they wanted to talk to me, . Chr ist! So I went down and my girls are there yelling and screaming that I owe them money that I hadn't paid. I joked to the cop that this happens a lot gringos stiffing hookers in Bogota? I argued with the less angry one and from what I got is the petite one didn't have her money but the other girl did, it was all a scam, either one stole from the other or they were both in on it. The cops are useless he didn't say much he said pay her or come with us to the station. Faced with that I looked into the police truck and waved and what looked like the boss he came over and I invited him up to my room where I unlocked the suitcase and offered him 100, 000 to take those two wh ores and dump them some where far far away he had a big smile and shook my hand. Everything went quiet after that except for the moaning and groaning from the other guests. In retrospect it was probably the manager that called the police. The next day I had a huge hangover and I was easily $400 poorer I learned some valuable lessons ALWAYS pay at the end of a session never ever before! , skip the drugs it just makes them talk to much and threesomes are highly overated maybe it only works if you have a director like in the pornos directing things.

I was feeling alittle bored, so I took Trans to Santa Fe (calle 19) around 7pm. Walked around and decided to check out the east side of Transmilenio (mountainside calle 19 to calle 17). I could tell it was a slow night. The middle aged has beens hang in this area. You can get 1/2 hr for 10, 000pesos plus 5000 for the house. That's right 15, 000pesos. I didn't take the offer but it did make me think twice about the notion. Walked over to La Piscina and and saw the usual. Not very busy. Decent bodies but nothing catching my eye. And neither did any of the street girls. So I decided it was best to get something to eat. I remembered to get the exact address of where I get a great plate of lechona (cr 16 no. 22-93). I think it's the only place to get pulled pork and rice right by the major clubs. Well that night I chose to say no. There's always next time.

Sometimes the party gets the best of us. I learnt my lesson about threesomes in Sao Paolo when I caugth the free girl trying to steal money. Oftentimes, threesomes are more trouble than they are worth. I usually do them in an control environment (in house) and tend to avoid them when the girls push for it. Yeasterday la piscina was packed. There were many girls and lots of new Talent. I had a wonderfull session with a cute little spinner her name is Cristina. Thank you.Colombiancupid.com is a great one too. I went through and found all the ones I was interested in that were either in Bogota or Cundinamarca Dept that had logged on within 30 days. I marked all those as favorites. About 50 in all. Sent all of those girls interest notes. Sent those who logged in within a week email messages through the site. About 25 in all. Got replies from about 15 of those, most of whom sent me their email addresses and phone numbers after the first or second communication. From there, narrowed down to about 5-7 who had cars, no children and maybe spoke a little English (you can be a little picky by that point). By then, it was about 2 days prior to my trip, which I let them know the dates ahead of time. I called the 5-7 by my 3rd day in town and all agreed to meet at some point. We'll see what happens, but phone conversation seems promising!
The site has a translator to translate messages from the girls (I assume one is available on their end too. I use Babel Fish to translate before I send them a message, showing an effort and all. Unfortunately the information in the Bogota Lists folder is very outdated; the Suites Real 85 is listed as a rate of 109,000COP per night, but the current rate is now $106 US! I will do my best to help update the list on my upcoming trip to BOG. It would also be helpful if somebody who knows the area well could create a google earth map of the neighborhoods and popular casas for us first-time visitors.

1. It's a disincentive for members to contribute.

3. It almost always leads to arguments.
4. It provides a "cover" for Serial Antagonists to provoke other members.
To address the usual arguments:
1. If a guy wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's his risk and his business.
2. If a girl wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's her risk and her business.
3. If YOU want to protect yourself from either or both of the aforementioned parties, then YOU should use a condom for sex all the time and thus YOU will be protected from the allegedly unsafe sex practices of the other parties.

For those looking for day action (9am-9pm) where Santa Fe is a bit quiet and the north is a bit expensive (as someone pointed out to me recently) chapinero is not a bed bet. Not sure at night there is a few Whiskerias that open up on the Carrera 17th around calle 65-67 or so but cant say whether they are any good. But I went to Julianas on Monday Carrera 19 #67-49 which was advertised in El Tiempo either the newspaper or the web site and it was pretty good. They had a bed which was a nice change from the massage tables in the north, was pretty clean and had a good lineup of girls, some average, 1-2 good looking and one petite stunner from Venezuela, Tatiana. monday, june 30: left medellin 6:30am using busline brasilia (50k, $28us), pulled into the capital at 3pm, about 8. 5 hours. it is a peculiar side-effect how the internal conflict of colombia, in forcing 77% of its population to the cities, has preserved the natural beauty of the countryside.
identifying the oldest (i. e. , safest) driver i taxied from the bus terminal to district candelaria for 9k. checked into a hotel for 25k, prívate room, bathroom, tv. at first glance the city is nicer, cleaner, spacious than i expected. there are maybe two or three homeless people around my hotel, compared to a couple thousand in medellin's centro.
tuesday, july 1: shopped for and purchased an airline ticket. pulled 900, 000 from a citibank atm (carrera 7 y calle 16-36, edificio avianca). found a detailed map of bogota dc, scale 1:30, 000, by cartur, for 33k, to be found in any panamericana librería y papeleria store (one in the north is carrera 15 y 72-14). cheapest cialis i can find is on the corner of carrera 10 y av jimenez (23k each).
bogota being three times as populated as medellin makes for longer and more crowded bus rides. the transmilenio is, at first, a more complicated beast than med's straightforward metro. i note throughout the day the women on the streets are definitely not as pretty as in medellin. i suspect a lot of in-breeding -- or ugly pills are free.

from my hotel in candelaria it is a fourteen block walk to the zona tolerancia (santa fe). at 5pm i strolled into the zona for a preliminary peek. lots of people around, shops open. there are an incredible number of transvestites present, some with huge breasts. as for women, lots of uglies and fatties. saw one cutie only.- and she was a glue-sniffer. no thanks. at this point i ask: with the exception of more tourist-orientated activities why come to bogota to monger when there is medellin?
saturday, july 5: back in district chapinero to complete the rounds, 4pm to 8pm. while there are a lot of casa and club options in chapinero to screw in, (my definition of) quality is sorely lacking. keep in mind i hit chapinero on peak days, friday and saturday, both days in the late afternoon and early evening.- optimal times on optimal days.

For Santa Fe I say El Castillo and Atunes are the nicest clubs. Best party clubs are Troya and Paisas, a distant third being Fiebre Sex. Paisas suffers from human congestion. Troya, with its circuit around the outside of the bar, is easier to walk. Troya is my favorite.
For quality budget-mongering Bogota blows.Bogota might not be cheaper, but I think the quality at clubs like El Castillo and Atunes is much better than Medellin.
My MO is to grab a girl out of Castillo, Vegas, Atunes or Paisas TLN with soem perico to keep the party going for about 100-150k. I love the spinners in Castillo. Friday/Saturday nights in Bogota are the best.

It was about 4 a.m. in Bogota in June. Most places were closed. We found this places called La Pantera. It's on a major street in the center or close to the center.
They had some people inside, also a few girls. We got drinks(including a bottle of Aguardiente). I started talking and dancing with one girl which did not look too bad, but also not really great to my standard. But I had no other choice for an early morning. Then they offered time with her at a room, for 50K peso or something like that. Which I thought to be a good price for a club.
However it turned out to be you get what you pay for. The room was very small - no bed! One friendly "manager" walked in the room several times, also brought a stereo, and was smiling a lot. When the girl got to the business, she got partially undressed, undressed me, but then she did not do much. She expected me to get a hard on right away. They she said that I look sick and she does not want to suck. Which was of course bullshit. All other girls I was with were giving only compliments about my physical condition. Also she mentioned that if I'd like we can go to my hotel. So it looked like she wanted to leave with me, so she gets more money. She was also quite drunk.
I did not want to deal with this anymore and left. Also complained to their stuff and demanded my money back. Of course I was sure they are not gonna do that, I was just curious what they are gonna say or do. I told them that I'm not gonna recommend their place to others. The stuff was very polite and "understanding" but they only only offered to come next time and promised a better service for the next time.
So I guess the lesson was not to go places without a good review, or you may expect bad service especially if the price is too low for such place. Also if a girl appears to be drunk or high you do not wanna deal with her. My problem was that there was no other choice. But it's ok, later I found better places in Bogota.

I was in Bogota in June and on one morning visited the massage place called Abejitas or Abadesas, on Calle 104 and Carrera 15. It's on the second floor mezzanine of a small office/store building. Unless you know you would not guess what they do there. When I got up to the second floor walked next to the "offices", a girl looked at me from a partially opened door and asked what I'm looking for. I realized that is the place. And asked what they have for me. She told me to come in.Inside she explained that they do massage and for 80K or more they do sex.

I am going to visiting Bogota on a business trip the end of July.
I have traveled to most of the countries in Central America. I was in Panama a few weks ago.
I needed some help since I have never been to Bogota.
First, I am looking for a nice business class hotel that will be GF. I was suggested the Hotel Windsor House, The Hotel Capital Four Points, The Hotel Cosmos and the Hotel Bogota Royal. I am not sure where these hotels are located or what district they are in. Can anyone help me with a suggestion?
The list that Tungurahua posted recently is so larger for someone that has a very short time in the city. Can someone give me some suggestions? I am looking for a good working girl bar in the area of any of the hotels or near by.
Since I have never been to Bogota, I do not have anything to compare it to. Something that is similar to what I am looking for is a place like the Del Ray in San Jose or the Cigar Bar in Panama City Panama. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Any of these suggestions do not have to be walking distance from my hotel, I usually take a taxi at night.
Also, what is the going rate in Bogota? Most of the Colombia woman I have met in other areas in Central America, like Costa Rica and Panama, are around the same price, but I would like some idea for Bogota. Can some give me the price range for ST and LT?

The hotels that you suggest are ok. But the places that report our friend Tungurahua are in the middle of the city or near to the middle like "chapinero". If you will go to the "Chapinero" or "Santafe", I recommend that you don't go alone, because this places can be something dangerous.
Near to the hotels you will go to a place like "Juan Pablo". The prices are near to 200k or more.

When in Bogota in June, I visited the famous La Piscina. It's a nice place, but it looks like the things are not very straightforward there.
The club is divided for two parts. A bigger pool area and a bar area. They have separate procedures regarding drinks and girls. Unfortunately I did not know that and went directly to the pool area. They asked me If I wanted a drink, I asked for a beer, they brought a big (22oz? ) bottle of corona. They asked me if I wanna seat with a black girl who was sitting nearby, I refused, since I like lighter girls and wanted to see what else is there.
There were probably about 20 girls total, a few hot ones. I walked back to the bar area. On the way back they stopped me because I was carrying beer.they though I bought it in the bar. They do not let people in with drinks from outside the pool, so I had to tell them that the beer was ordered in the pool area.
Girls were also kinda divided, some in the pool area, and some in the bar. And a few walking everywhere. I tried to talk to one who was standing next to the pool. I think she was the most beautiful, but did not look friendly. I wanted to check if that's the case, and yes, she looked at me like she does not want to talk and soon went to the bar area. I'm still not sure how it works in the pool area. I did not see an guy coming to a girl and taking her. So maybe you are supposed to ask a waiter to bring a girl you like. In the bar area everything looked much simpler.
Finally couple of girls were passing by my table, and one was really hot, but not as good as the first one who refused talking to me. But this one was very nice and friendly. We looked at each other, and she sat next to me. We talked for a while, then decided to go to a room. The price was 80K for 1/2 hour. I said I'm gonna see how it goes, and them maybe get more time.
When leaving I paid for the beer and redbull, the price for two drinks was ridiculous 50K peso!
When paying for the girl, they also asked to pay for the room, I think about 12K peso in addition to 80K for the girl.
Anyway, the girl's performance was pretty good. I realized that we do not have much time and did not want to wait until somebody knocks the door, so I finished before time was up. The girl asked me why I finished so early, as she wanted more or she wanted me to buy more time. Right after she said that, the time was up. We heard knock in the door.
When leaving the club the guy at the entrance asked for a tip, like he is working really hard for me.
In conclusion, the girl was very good, the club is nice but expensive, they expect you to pay for everything from the entrance fee to the tips on the exit. The drinks are extremely overpriced. I think the best idea is not to go to the pool area and hang in the bar area. Also it's better to ask for the price of drinks before ordering.

Making the homework. For your infomation; The streets of Bogotá have been laid out as a grid pattern. The carreras (streets) run parallel to the mountains from south to north. They are abbreviated as Cr, K and Crs.
The calles (also streets) run from east to west and cross the carreras perpendicularly, they are abbreviated as C, Cll and Cl. Others, called Diagonales, run diagonally east-west like the Calles, and the Transversales also run diagonally but south-north.
Avenidas, abbreviated as Av, are usually larger and main streets. The numerical system for the Avenidas is used but some have names like Avenida Jimenez de Quesada, Avenida Caracas, etc. Each address consist of a series of numbers, for example: Calle 92 # 15-34. This means that the house on calle 92 is 34 meters from the corner of carrera 15 towards the 16.
The Zhivago Bar also called Juan Pablo´s Bar is in the Carrera 18 No.93A-83 , in this place you find 20 or more chicas, the prices are around of 200k pesos for a ST of 1 1/2 hour, for LT or "amanecida" is more, 500k or 600k pesos.

When in Bogota in June, I visited the famous La Piscina. It's a nice place, but it looks like the things are not very straightforward there.
The club is divided for two parts. A bigger pool area and a bar area. They have separate procedures regarding drinks and girls. Unfortunately I did not know that and went directly to the pool area. They asked me If I wanted a drink, I asked for a beer, they brought a big (22oz? ) bottle of corona. They asked me if I wanna seat with a black girl who was sitting nearby, I refused, since I like lighter girls and wanted to see what else is there.
There were probably about 20 girls total, a few hot ones. I walked back to the bar area. On the way back they stopped me because I was carrying beer.they though I bought it in the bar. They do not let people in with drinks from outside the pool, so I had to tell them that the beer was ordered in the pool area.
Girls were also kinda divided, some in the pool area, and some in the bar. And a few walking everywhere. I tried to talk to one who was standing next to the pool. I think she was the most beautiful, but did not look friendly. I wanted to check if that's the case, and yes, she looked at me like she does not want to talk and soon went to the bar area. I'm still not sure how it works in the pool area. I did not see an guy coming to a girl and taking her. So maybe you are supposed to ask a waiter to bring a girl you like. In the bar area everything looked much simpler.
Finally couple of girls were passing by my table, and one was really hot, but not as good as the first one who refused talking to me. But this one was very nice and friendly. We looked at each other, and she sat next to me. We talked for a while, then decided to go to a room. The price was 80K for 1/2 hour. I said I'm gonna see how it goes, and them maybe get more time.
When leaving I paid for the beer and redbull, the price for two drinks was ridiculous 50K peso!
When paying for the girl, they also asked to pay for the room, I think about 12K peso in addition to 80K for the girl.
Anyway, the girl's performance was pretty good. I realized that we do not have much time and did not want to wait until somebody knocks the door, so I finished before time was up. The girl asked me why I finished so early, as she wanted more or she wanted me to buy more time. Right after she said that, the time was up. We heard knock in the door.
When leaving the club the guy at the entrance asked for a tip, like he is working really hard for me.
In conclusion, the girl was very good, the club is nice but expensive, they expect you to pay for everything from the entrance fee to the tips on the exit. The drinks are extremely overpriced. I think the best idea is not to go to the pool area and hang in the bar area. Also it's better to ask for the price of drinks before ordering.

I maybe forced to stay near the airport area.
Based on what I have read the cheaper areas for ladies are near the city. Is there other areas that are also good, but maybe a little more expensive?
Is there any good hotel bars or clubs where there are working ladies?
Some of the customers I am going to be visiting are suggesting hotels like the Raddison, Hotel Windsor and a hotel in the Salitre area.
I do not thing I am going to have a lot of free time till the night time and if I have to stay at one of these hotels I would really like to find a good working girl bar or club to do my shopping some where that is a close taxi ride from my hotel.

Some of the places you named are already clip joints. And taking anything more than a throwaway cell phone, the cash you plan to use, and a copy of your passport to Barrio Santa Fe (La Piscina/Castillo/etc), is so not advisable.
Stick to using credit cards in reputable places. At a minimum, hotels. At maximum, mall stores and supermarkets, where it is charged directly in front of you. Even with restaurants, you open yourself up to being cloned. Doesn't always happen, but sucks ass when it does.
In one night in May, a friend of mine only used his debit card once in Bogota, at the Citibank ATM in Zona Rosa, right in the Zona T. There were bank guards outside, as usual. Wouldn't you know it, his card got cloned and used a few more times. Who knows how it happened, but it did. His bank reimbursed him eventually, but goes to show.
Monger on.....but with common sense.

If you are forced to stay near to the El Dorado Airport I suggest you take a look (www.ghl.com.co) the Hotel Sheraton(Calle 25B Av. El Dorado # 69C-80) or the Hotel Capital (Av. El Dorado # 69A-51). Both hotels are in the salitre area and next to the airport, American Embassy and Comercials Centers like Salitre Plaza and Gran Estación. But, like the friend DoloresThomas said this a dead area for playing.
The Raddison and Windsor are in the north area.
The Santafe area is more close to the Salitre area that the places that I suggested, but I think that to go to Santafe is bad idea if you go alone.
In any way you can go in taxi to Zona Rosa and visit that places.
In this moment I don't know a good and confindential guide.
When you choose your hotel, will look the best opcion for your shopping place.

Again thanks for the wonderful advise.You can visit the most reputable hotels/stores/travel agencies and a single dishonest employee can easily clone, copy or simply write down your credit card numbers. Hopefully, you will get money returned, but then you have the problems of your credit file being ruined.
When you are asked the question of credit or debit, select credit, because then you receive alot of protection due to consumer protection laws for credit cards, you do not receive the same protection when you select debit.
Another advantage of selecting debit for example when you visit a gas station is by selecting credit you are asked to enter your zip code, which is alot safer then selecting debit and entering your PIN number. If someone is able to get your PIN, they simply clone the card, and your cash is gone.

Okay, so, here’s the first of 2 or 3 reports on my 3 week trip to Bogota. I figured I better break it up in order to make sure I don’t forget anything.
Be prepared! : In the lead up to the trip, on the advice of someone on this board, I started trolling Colombiancupid.com and Cybercupido.com. Both excellent sites, though, I’d argue the former seems to have a lot better bells and whistles and more quality selection than the latter. Colombiancupid.com is also English-speaker friendly. Anyway, you can read my last post on this thread regarding my methodology on narrowing down my selection there.
Situation: In Bogota for 3 weeks (2 wks business, 1 wk pleasure). Staying with 2 guys in apartment. I know one guy from work, don’t know the other. Don’t know if either is a monger. Apartment in vicinity of Zona Rosa. No one has a car.
Cell Phone: An absolute must to keep up with chicas if staying over a long period of time. Even if you’re only straight mongering (paying each time), you will inevitably run into a girl you want to see again and again. If you get her number, you can arrange her to visit you and skip any club exit fees (salidas). As it was, the phone that I had from last year did not work. It was functional in that it was still receiving the tower signal, but, I think since my minutes had run out or it hadn’t been active in so long it was discontinued. Went to a Comcel store in Andino Mall to try to get it activated, they said I needed to go to a technical service location to get that done. Didn’t feel like bothering with that, just used a cell phone from work which worked fine. No issues, but didn’t get it till my 3rd day on the ground, so, I couldn’t call any of the chicas whose numbers were in my phone from last time for 3 days.
Landline Phone: Okay, here’s something different: the string of numbers (I. E. 10 digits) that you dial on a cell phone are different than dialing a landline (7 digits). You have to dial 031 then the number to call a landline from a cell and my roomie says you need some kind of special subscription to be able to dial from a landline to a cell.
Long distance (back to the states): With obligations at home, I needed a way to call back to the US regularly without spending an arm and a leg (interesting how we’ll spend an arm and a leg on P4P, but whine over a few cents a minute for phone call). Got hipped to Yahoo Messenger, where for 1 cent per minute, you can call anywhere in the US (and I think other countries). You charge up the account with a min of 10 dollars, get your microphone/headphone headset for 8-10 dollars and you’re good to go, just type in the number into the address screen and hit enter and you’re dialing. Not a bad deal, just need an internet connection.
Last trip recap (posted Jul 27 07): I took a trip last year and everything was great! I had 6 chicas in 6 days. Nothing like the numbers you can post in DR, but, the prices are cheaper there too! I pretty much stayed only at Casanova’s (I called it La Piscina mistakenly) and Copacabana’s and I don’t think I spent over 200, 000 pesos for any one girl. I stayed in La Boheme Royal Hotel in Zona Rosa. I met one non-pro chica that I didn’t bone.

by now, we had reached thursday night, the beginning of the weekend for most in bogota, which meant the girls would be out in force. now, apparently, the cultural norm is that fridays are for the mistresses and saturdays are for girlfriends/wives. i guess that makes thursdays for the pros, right? well, that’s how i took it! i decided to explore some of the casas within walking distance; addresses, i have no idea, but, there's about 6 or so places in the vicinity of zona rosa.

Week 2: Next night I hit up Juan Pablo’s again to get with Heidi and her friend Alejandra. Found out they were both from Medellin. Take note of the trend. Hello all,
I'm flying to Bogota tomorrow, I've browsed through some pages of this thread and I still have 2 questions:
1) Apparently Santa Fe is the area to visit to have fun. How is the security there ? It kind of concerns me, especially since I will be alone ... Of course I plan to go with nothing but the necessary cash and my clothes on. Is it safe during the day ? At night ? Is it ok to hail taxis, or is it better to have locals call them in advance ? etc ...
2) I plan to stay in Central Bogota/ La Candelaria, cos it's the touristic area and I'm a tourist. Could anyone recommend a good girl-friendly hotel there ? My budget is around 50/60 $ a night, and I'd wish to have nice clean rooms, with big bed, and i don't want the guy at the reception to be embarassing if I bring a girl (small extra fee is still ok though, I guess)

Rodeo 9112 maps are pretty useful but you need some information behind it ie first hand.
I went down to the strip on calle 67 with a line of puta houses just down from the love motels.Caracas and 67, and tried the first one walking down. There were four uglies to my amusement "other girls are busy senor? No gracias" and I tried the next one. Same story and the next and the next until I got to Julianas 2 which had 5 colombians in the waiting room ready for their Thursday night piece of action. Not going to wait an hour and see another selection of uglies assuming the bonitas are busy again? So had a walk around the block and tried another on the corner 2nd floor before the line of casas. Same story, more uglies. Now it could be true that was a busy night and all the bonitas were busy but the ratio of uglies just seemed to give me the impression that the standard isn't that good in that area unless of course you like uglies or have a paper bag handy. The only exception is Tatiana in Julianas 1 but I think she only works days and probbably goes off to the other clubs in the north at night. Ironicaly I had turned down a real cutie in El castillo when I popped in for half an hour around 7pm as she quoted me 90, 000 whcih seemed to be a gringo price. Also being my first time there didn't really connect with the place, more of a reconassiance mission I suppose. Think I'll try other clubs in the area probably La Piscina or Atunes. So far my impression is that while Santa Fe can be dodgy later on if you keep your wits about you should be okay and the talent can be as good as anywhere else. That said if you want more than 20 minutes then itll cost you around 180, 000 for an hour which is near to what you pay in the northern clubs. Yet to try some of the northern clubs mainly due to lack of wingman and excuse to stay out late at weekend without the wife hanging around.

Recently, I've spent more time in Bogota and I've had a chance to sample a lot of the storefronts in the "Mezzanine de Masajes" at carrera 15/calle 104. The last couple of times I've been there, I've noticed that a restaurant and a tattoo parlor have opened up on the mezzanine so, depending on one's taste, one could hang out there all day. (What must the owner of the restaurant have been thinking opening up a food joint surrounded by pussy? )
Working from streetside to the backside of the mezzanine, here are some samples of what you can find.
