Don't fool yourself, there are just as many robberies and muggings in Chapinero as there are in Santa Fe. I prefer Chapinero just because it's easier to get to.

I only know that the cheap stuff in the poor areas is likely to be basuco. What you have to pay for something that just rots your nose and turns you into a selfish prat rather than something that will make you rob and kill your own family to get more of, I have no idea.
Okay, before I get flamed, I just want to say that the details of my Rio trip WILL go in the Rio, Brazil forum. But, I just wanted to point out that, in my humble opinion, at this point, I would still have to rate Bogota above Rio in terms of mongering. Now, I just returned from Rio 3 days ago for the first time, and here are some of the factors that have led me to my conclusion:
- Passion. While the Brasileras are no doubt the leaders when it comes to actual performance in bed, the degree to which you can get a GFE in Bogota seems a little easier. Girls were much more willing to go home with you for little or nothing over the going rate. Of course, my knowledge of Spanish is alot better than that of Braz. Portuguese which likely contributed to my ability to communicate (or not, in the case of Rio).
- Variety. This will undoubtedly strike a note with some, but, after awhile, it seemed like I had seen all the body shapes, styles that Rio had to offer (I know I haven't); I definitely didn't bone all the ones I wanted, but, I don't know, I just kept longing for Bogota, whereas in Bogota, I am constantly surprised with a different type of girl. Perhaps it is the sheer volume of girls in Rio that made me come to this conclusion.
- Services. Believe it or not, services in Bogota actually seemed more efficient than in Rio. Had a few problems with different things in Rio that seemed to take forever, whereas in Bogota things were rectified immediately. There was also a helluva lot more space in apartments in Bogota. Bogota, especially Zona Rosa and Parque 93 also seemed to have an abundance of nice places to eat and dance, whereas these places seemed limited in Rio (again, I acknowledge this was my 1st time there, so maybe I'm missing out on places).
- Friendliness. I think the fact that Rio is more of a tourist destination than Bogota contributes to the locals' standoffishness to tourists. They know that tourists will only be there for a short period of time and thus are resistant to any attempts at a 'relationship'. Whereas, you may be able to string a Bogotana along from trip to trip as she will live in the moment with the hopes of something down the road. Though she may only be yours when you're around, at least she IS yours then. I have no hesitation in approaching any Colombiana in Bogota to join me for a drink, lunch, dinner, coffee, or dancing, whereas in Rio I didn't dare as everyone seemed to be to busy unless they were on the beach (again, my extremely limited Porto may have contributed).
- Advantage. Again pointing to Rio as a tourist destination, I think gringos have an advantage in Bogota simply because there are less of us there than in Rio; therefore, we can pay less and expect more.
- Mileage of the girls. I did the math and most of the terma girls I spoke to said they got with 3 guys a day and worked 5 days per week. If the average dude's piece is 6 inches, and most girls I spoke to had worked for 2 years, that means, those girls have had 8, 640 inches of dick running through them.
Don't get me wrong. Rio was AWESOME! I am already planning my next trip. There are all kinds of asses that I want to get into in Rio that I didn't get a chance to during my 8 days there and I highly recommend it to anyone. But for me, my heart remains with Bogota and the many GFEs that I've had and that await me there. I'm also planning my next trip to Bogota. And it will be sooner, closer, and cheaper!

I had a trip to Bogota last Dec 2008 and it was pure heaven in all aspects. Girls have this natural beauty and incredable bone structure with an asses to die for (literally).

It is in chapinero norte. It is a a normal office bhuilding and tghe places occupy the whole first floor one next to other. They are like barber shop setting. If you know what I mean.

Seems the FARC is at it again. Last night about 10ish, a car bomb exploded killing several and injuring more. It was in the Chapaniro area again.Is this separate from the explosion at the Blockbuster Video just outside of Zona Rosa (Calle 82 with Carrera 9)? Or do you have your facts mixed up? This incident was at about 9:15pm on Jan 27th with 2 killed and 18 injured according to El Tiempo. Different press articles say that the Minister of Defense says it may be FARC or may not be FARC (but a copycat). Would be very disconcerting if there were two incidents at roughly the same time!

No one wants to say exactally what group or persons are involved at this point but all indications reveal the same type of system used to iniciate the IED as previous. Coppycat bombings are easy due to the information the media passes on. Thats why I have always stressed, never give interviews. I will be in Bogota next week and get the eyes on info.

I have stayed in this hotel in the past. The good thing is that the price is very reasonable for the rooms they offfer. The bad thing is that it is in a dicey area and you have to watch your back while walking around there at night. If you live in a large city then you know what precautions to take. Don't get a room near the elevator because you would never get any sleep. But if you are looking to stay in Bogota cheap, this place is not bad.

Thanks especially to World Travel 69 & Tungurahua, Bogota has probably the most comprehensive guide for the hobby in ISG. They make very easy to navigate and stay out of trouble. Some stores like tower Records in el Andino have a ticket booth where you can buy the tickets in cash.

RodeoRodeo my friend, I recently went to two concerts in Manizales, Marc Anthony and Juanes. Tickets were available everywhere in the malls, the clothing stores had them and there was a kiosk in the mall selling them along with tickets to the bullfights, and there were smoking hot chicas walking around the mall hawking them. I don't know Bogota at all but I am sure if there is a significant event you won't have trouble finding tickets, actually they will probably find you!
A word about the concerts, they were scheduled to start at 7 pm By noon time people started lining up to get in and by 3 pm There were thousands of people out there partying like crazy, my apartment is on the 11th floor and overlooks the stadium. You could bring in as much booze as you could carry as long as it wasn't in a glass container. Both concerts finished after 3:30 in the freekin' morning dude. 30, 000 drunken dancing Colombians, priceless.

Well, long time reader, 1st time writing.
Using forum advice, I made my way to CR 15 #104 03, Mezzanine #8, or 9. It was the last one on the left, facing the street, 9 I think, I'll confirm tomorrow. Anyho, went in and was whisked off to a room by Michelle, the rest of the ladies in the front area were engaged on their cell phones.
She was decent looking, maybe a 6-7, but when she smiled the teeth were a little messy. Nice body, slim, but not "Columbian" slim, maybe a 6.

I can't recall the exact address, but te place is easy to find and the staff quality is high above the rest of these fast-food-like-micro-brothels. Also prices aren't that much more expensive. Last time I was there I screwed a REALLY good looking 9 from Ibague for 140k, massage included. This was a couple of years ago, but I guess prices must still be in a close range. I can't recall the exact address, but te place is easy to find and the staff quality is high above the rest of these fast-food-like-micro-brothels. Also prices aren't that much more expensive. I had a trip to Bogota last Dec 2008 and it was pure heaven in all aspects. Girls have this natural beauty and incredable bone structure with an asses to die for (literally).

I walked through there yesterday. I did not go up to the top floor, because the place looked empty. I did see one Hair place, but the rooms are really small and open, so I did not ask. I did see a curtain next to it that could have been their massage room.
The other place next to the gas station should be south not west, because the Calles run East to West, starting South to North, but the streets do wind around and could be in a westerly direction.
And I did not check that building out.

I am by no means an expert on the Bogota scene, but I would suggest you stay in the Zona Rosa area, and the further north you go, the safer, nicer, convenent it will be. As for chicas, I don't know your budget and the class of girls you like, but Bogota should have what you want. It will cost you more to go to the clubs than the massage places but you will find better quality women though that does not guarantee better service. Alot depends on you.

I stayed at the HOTEL VIP then my #1 Novias apartment.
Again I had a wonderful time at the hotel VIP. The apartments are very clean and the owner.

Frankly, Colombian food sucks. The Colombians need to take some lessons from the Peruvians. There are outstanding restaurants all over Lima.

And you're right: there are no beauty queens or models to be found there, although sometimes you can find an authentic (overpriced, though) gem among the staff, and befriend her to meet elsewhere.
I've been with Mansion girls after a first meeting in the house, or have met them before in other casas and have later on found them working this "higher class" joint.
As for the 49 mansion, I believe they use the name because it is somehow classy and represents. I've said this in other reports. Some kind of urban myth among taxi drivers and other people in Bogota (thinking that famous models and actresses work there. Absolute BS).

I wouldn't say Colombian restaurants are too expensive. Price isn't the issue. Quality is the issue.
Again, I've never been to Bogota. However, I do go to the other four major cities of Colombia (Barranquilla, Cali, Cartagena and Medellin). In all of those cities, Colombian food is boring and Colombian restaurants suck. The so-called "best" restaurants in Colombia do not compare with the best restaurants in any developed country I have visited. Furthermore, the so-called "best" Colombian restaurants do not compare favorably with restaurants in other countries of Latin America. Restaurants are far better in San Jose, better still in Buenos Aires and the best restaurants of all are in Lima.
Are there exceptions? Sure, but the generalization is still accurate. In every city I find a handful of Colombian restaurants that are adequate. Not great, simply adequate. Since my visits to Colombia range from one month to four months, this is a problem. It is tiresome to eat at the same handful of restaurants month after month.
In my experience in Colombia, Gringos tend to congregate at certain restaurants that attempt to mimic Argentine steakhouses.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Colombia is the easiest place in the world to meet and date beautiful women. Other than the women, almost everything about Colombia sucks. Without the women, there is absolutely no reason to ever step foot in Colombia.

I beg to disagree with you. Some of the finest restaurants I have ever eaten in were in Bogota. Pesquerilla jamarillo, would compare very favorably with any great fish restaurant in the world. Café Renault is also excellent Italian, Café Bogota has excellent excellent high class Colombian food also in park 93 are some great sushi and other restaurants.
Had some great fondue 3 nights ago chalet Suisse.
With respect to Colombia. I would like to retire there. Colombia according to the HPI, happy person index, has the second happiest people on earth USA ranks # 150. I find the people wonderful and the cost of living incredibly low.

Remember: posts are delayed: I posted before you mentioned your generalization -- even though it was in the Bogotá section -- was based on never having been to the country's principal city. Rather like judging US cuisine based solely on a tour of Indiana. Though, now I think about it, that's likely to be fairly accurate.

I do go to the other four major cities of Colombia (Barranquilla, Cali, Cartagena and Medellin). In all of those cities, Colombian food is boring and Colombian restaurants suck...Restaurants are far better in San Jose.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Colombia is the easiest place in the world to meet and date beautiful women. Other than the women, almost everything about Colombia sucks. Without the women, there is absolutely no reason to ever step foot in Colombia.I disagree with everything you wrote above. There are very good restaurants in those cities, certainly better than San Jose. The museums, the architecture, the old city in Cartagena, the countryside around Medellin.-there are a lot of reasons to visit Colombia besides the women.

The women in Colombia are just beautiful for sure, but there are more reasons that that. Guatape alone is worth the trip, I thought that was one of the more beautiful sceneries of the world. Flying those loony paragliders above Medellin, you feel like the bottom fell out of the world when you take off, but what a rush! Cartegena for the old town, the winding roads thru the mountains, it's a fascinating place. So much more that I can't think of right now.

Sorry it's taken me so long to report about this guy. I have been to BOG a few times, and each time I use William, a guide in Bogota. He lived in the states for a while, so he has good knowledge of English. He also understands the hobby and knows where the best spots are in Bogota. My favorite part about him is that he is about 6'2" and pretty large. Taking him along with you to the more dangerous parts of BOG is not a bad idea.
William drives a four-person tourist van and is licensed, etc. He has always been on time to the airport, and he has always been very nice to me. He really goes the extra mile for his customers, and that is why I am posting on here.
His rates are pretty good too IMO, and he is very flexible on them. Just ask for a quote. I typically end up using his services for an entire day and paying him about $100 a day. For a day's worth of driving you around, showing you places, and being your bodyguard, that's a good deal.

PLEASE don't be paying a taxi driver $100USD a day. That is so way overmarket it's ridiculous. Most of them will work for 12k-15k COP per hour. Do NOT pay more than 15k an hour for a driver here unless they are driving a 40 passenger bus or something!

My cross-city trips get them around 20k for 30-45 mins work, for comparison.
But sure, USD100/day sounds a bit much -- unless its a 10 hour day of course. Though it sounds like he's buying some personal safety and an English speaker too for that price, which you won't get from a normal cabby.

For someone I know and trust to come pick my up in the airport in the morning, take me wherever I want to go during the day, stick with me when I go places, make recommendations, speak fluent English, and take me to my hotel at night, $100 USD is completely fine and fair in my book. And it's not a taxi. It's a nice air conditioned van.
But to each his own. Obviously, you can get around Bogota for much less if you know where you're going and don't mind going it alone. I simply put the information out there for those interested.

RodeoI haven't been to Bogota for a few months so my info may be dated, but here's my take:
1. La Casona - great music, wild shows & contests, cheap beer, open early, and oh yeah loaded full of many beautiful ladies for very little money. One of the best monger spots on the planet.
2. Las Paisas - a few notches below.
3. La Troya - another nice place filled with beautiful ladies for cheap. Classier than the above.
4. Venus Night Club - sleeper bar, probably I am the only foreigner who has ever entered at night, but I have rarely failed to pull out a stunning gem from this one.
5. La Piscina - formerly my favorite bar in Bogota, it doesn't impress me as much as it once did, but is still a damn good bar. The day time version is also cool, during the day. Also listed to prove I actually have been to more than just one block in Bogota.
Honorable mentions: Fiebre Sex (another fun place!), Tamaguchi, Atunes

The two of us went out in BOG at the beginning of Semana Santa, a pretty dead weekend in a pretty wild city. William was extremely patient driving us from place to place as we searched out what little action was to be found. Moreover, he was very professional and kept a keen eye out for us when the beers started to flow. Most certainly recommended.

This is a tough nut to crack down here. You may have heard that in Mexico and Brazil they have lists of famous models and actresses with prices circulating, here AFAIK there is nothing of the sort. Colombia has a very strong culture of "no ser sapo". Of course I'm sure that just about any pretty face you see on TV is available but getting the right connections is not gonna be easy, much less as a foreigner.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm finding my biggest problem here is there are TOO MANY bars, I've been doing lots of running around. Regarding quality in certain neighborhoods- the casas in Chapinero Norte seemed to have alot of 5-8s but no 9 or 10s. The quality at the major santa fe bars (atunes, venus, casona, etc) is VERY good, saw quite a few stunners at the 50k price point, this was at 3 in the afternoon. I can't say the same for the smaller sante fe casas- I saw some truly disgusting beasts standing in those doorways. Gonna hit the pricier places around parque 93 tonight, will let yall know how those measure up.
Why is Mansion best on Tuesday and/or Wednesday?
So Mansion is the best place to meet the highest quality considering money is not a driving factor.

I have already gone against conventional wisdom and have become emotionally involved with a Colombian woman. Further I have petitioned for a visa for my girlfriend to come to the US and will now be facing the interview process in Bogota to determine my girlfriend's eligibility for the visa to be issued. Can anyone advise how to handle the the questioning by the consular officer of how my girlfriend supported herself? My girlfriend was in the "life" and has not had an identifiable means of support for the past five years. I appreciate any constructive advise, even if to get it means enduring harsh critism.

3: chances for approval are very slim if no money in the bank or no obligations (kids or sick parents) to guarantee her return
You'd be better off telling her to get a legit job during the day and selling chocha only a few nights a week if necessary--do this for a solid year or two and save an assload of money (tell her not to spend it on shopping and bullshit).
I have no experience with this but I have been hipped to the rules by someone who used to work in an embassy in Latin America.

I can tell you that un-employment is not uncommon in Colombia and that being a student or part time sales person selling "clothes to friends & family" is also common and difficult to both confirm AND deny.
You need to have plenty of photos together, proof of communication from the US to Colombia (E-mails, phone records) you should know things like her favorite color, her best friend's name, where she was born, raised and lives. And she should know the same about you. And although you may not be given the opportunity to speak to the interviewer, you being present with her ay the interview helps out. With all that said, be carefull!
Set your heart aside and "test" any girl's true motives at every opportunity. I have a number of friends that have had successful marriages with Colombianas. But the "hotter" the chica and the "more adverturous her past". Unfortunately the less likely she is likely to stick around once her papers are done.

Now, the one thing that one does not want to do is to lie to the U. S. Consul. And, in your fiancee's situation, there is not need to do that. Assuming there is no impediment to you and her getting married in the U. S. Jurisdiction where you live, there are limited exclusion from a fiancee visa. One is that the party seeking to immigrate to the U. S. Is a prostitute. Many in Colombia exist in the gray market economy. Some type of service work. I assume that she can truthfully say she was assisted financially by family, or had several boyfriends, etc. Frankly, unless she wants to volunteer that she was paid for her company on occasion, the issue will not arise. The interview is primarily to determine if you and she meet the statutory requirements for the K-1 visa: that you have met in person, intend to reside in the U. S. , intend to get married within 90 days after her entry into the U. S. , and that you are able to support her (that you have income at least 125% of the poverty level). She will probably be ask where you met, etc.
There is a lot of information available via the internet that describe the fiancee visa process, the questions ask at the interview and generally what you and she must do, and what can be expected.

You are confused. You are referring to a tourist visa, seems Hombre is referring to a fiance visa. Hombre CAN accompany his fiance to the interview, in fact it is recommended. Having family, money, assets are NOT a factor in the approval or denial of a fiance visa. Besides completing the paperwork properly and providing the proper documentation proving a VALID relationship, the interviewer at the embassy will ask questions of the woman to determine if this a a valid relationship and not a visa scam.

MelThis is incorrect! You will be free to attend the K1 fiancee visa interview along with your girl at the embassy in Bogota. The interviewer might even ask questions of you. I believe that is a good ideal for you to attend with her.

I went through the whole thing and had my Paisa (Non Pro) here in Louisiana with me for 2. 5 months before I chickened out and decided to remain single and a monger.
For good up to date info I recommend www.visajourney.com There I was able to find all the forms we needed and I filed everything myself without the need for an attorney.
Personally I do not regret the experience at all and I feel certain in the event that I do ever decide to marry again that it will be a Colombiana, but nobody in the biz and that is not a lash out at anybody.

Curious. What obligations does the US person have under a fiancée visa besides getting married within 90 days? Are you responsible if she flies the coop or refuses to go back? Just thought I´d pass on a few highlights:
Went to the massage place in Zona Rosa (Abejitas I think).
--Address was Carrera 14A #83-26, smack in the middle of what looks like an eatery of some sort in an orangish, yellow building.
--Rate was 180,000COP for 1 hour.
--Went at like 5:00pm, about an hour and a half after getting settled into my apartment and there were no less than 20 girls.
--I would say the girls ranged from 7-10 in looks, with the 7s leaning hard toward 8.
--I had Juliana; absolutely perfect body and about 8.5 in the face...not bad.
--Not the best performance, was a real clock watcher and didn´t really get into it at all.
--My wingman had a girl named Valentina who was about a 9 in looks and according to him, a great performer; says her head game was sick!
--Great choices overall, even though my experience left alot to be desired, I would and will return...THIS TRIP!!

Is this Chica friendly?I've stayed there a couple of times, albeit most recently in 2007.
I didn't have any problem with having a guest come up to my room. That is, no chica fees.
An earlier poster was correct, though. It's a boutique hotel, in a nice area. I understand the hotel to have been converted from an apartment building, and the rooms are more akin to a studio apartment than a hotel room.
It's impossible to be discreet there, though. The lobby is the same size as a typical apartment entrance area. The front door is always locked and, at least in the evenings, there's no doorman. So guests/visitors have to knock on the door or ring a bell (an old-fashioned bell, not an electric ringer) to alert the desk clerk to unlock the door to permit entrance.
I preferred the Suites Real 97, also located close to Parque 93, as there's less of a 'walk of shame', for these purposes, although the Casa Real is a considerably nicer hotel.

I am contemplating whether I would want to go to Bogota at least once before planning on going to Medellin. I just got back from Cartagena and previously have gone to Panama. I find that I like "picking up" freelancers in bars/discos the best-- such as from Habanos/Venetto in Panama and LDV/Elektra in Cartagena.
I have searched through the previous posts and the Bogota lists, but can't seem to find a reference to a bar/disco for freelancers in Bogota. Does anyone of know of any such venues in Bogota? (I do see that there are many strip clubs and casas in Bogota. Also, I am not really interested in trying to meet a "non-pro" at this time).

There are plenty of places here that have that reputation. Half of the Zona T could fit that description actually. Also any of the Bogota Beer Company's. And many places off of the 1 de mayo, many places off of la 53 in Normania.
BUT I cannot recommend them to go to. There are very high incidences of scopolamine attacks in those places. It's just not a good idea here. It's not a good idea in Rio either. It's too easy to get slipped a Finn. If you do go, DONT GO ALONE. Otherwise, you have been warned.
I'd say stick to the whiskerias, they are clean and safe and you can always negotiate take out if that's what you want.

I just wanted to post a positive report on Marcia here. I met her IRL on Saturday night. She lives in Ibague, and fortunately I happened to be passing through, she will travel to Bogota or somewhere close though given the right circumstances.
She is short and very much voluptuous, in a good way, she has a nice big ass, smooth skin, and she's soft and feminine without feeling "overweight" in any way. TWI've stayed at that same hotel many times but quit when hit with a chica fee one evening.
Try Extasis or Casanovas on Calle 86A.
Walk down Calle 85 to the grocery store, turn right (Calle 11?), walk half a block to Calle 86A, turn right again and the clubs are on the right hand side. They don't open until the evening with chicas arriving at about 10:00 PM.
During the day, try out Abejitas -- a poster gave details at post number 1995, a few posts down.

Hello Fellow Travellers! I am travelling to Bogotá in a couple of weeks (for a week's vacation) and was wondering if anyone knows of a quiet, safe, reasonably-priced "party-friendly" hotel?
Also, has anyone had any experience staying at Suites Real 97 (or 85), if so, your opinions on these locations would be very much appreciated.
I am just completely amazed at how expensive most hotel rooms are in Bogotá and was considering renting an apartment instead (I just can't afford $1000-$2000 for a hotel room for one week if I am to have any money left over for the real purpose of my travels.).
My principal concerns with respect to a hotel are are quietness, safety and privacy (for party-related activities).
On that note, does anyone know of any reasonably-priced hotels (less than about US $80 per night) that are quiet, safe, clean, and where I can party in my room without fear of having the door being kicked in by hotel security.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I promise a "juicy" trip report upon my return.

Also, has anyone had any experience staying at Suites Real 97 (or 85), if so, your opinions on these locations would be very much appreciated.
I am just completely amazed at how expensive most hotel rooms are in Bogotá and was considering renting an apartment instead (I just can't afford $1000-$2000 for a hotel room for one week if I am to have any money left over for the real purpose of my travels.).
My principal concerns with respect to a hotel are are quietness, safety and privacy (for party-related activities).
On that note, does anyone know of any reasonably-priced hotels (less than about US $80 per night) that are quiet, safe, clean, and where I can party in my room without fear of having the door being kicked in by hotel security.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I promise a "juicy" trip report upon my return.

I know my co-degenerate following out there has been anxiously awaiting my trip report from my last debaucherous journey to Bogota. While I attempt to come down from Cloud 9 and collect my thoughts, I hope these pics will tide you over! One correction, the one girl, Mariana is from Casanova's, not Juan Pablo'. Over the course of 3 1/2 days, I banged 10 girls from Atunes, Juan Pablo's, Mezzanine Massages, Abejita's Massages in ZR, Casanova's, and other places that I don't remember.
I feel like a new man having discovered the scene in Santa fe. I've stayed there several times over the years, and always found it comfortable and reasonably chica-friendly. I've brought girls back that I met out, and also had girls come to the hotel. In the latter case, I've always called the front desk to let them know I was expecting someone. Never a problem. I tip well.
As for party-friendly.- maybe not so much of a sure bet. On my last trip, I brought 4 girls back (nice girls I had met at a bar, not professionals). We were talking and drinking, nothing crazy, but definitely on the late side.
The next morning the manager was quite angry, threatened to charge me for the girls, etc. I was very contrite and apologized profusely. No extra charges appeared on my bill, but it definitely showed that there are limits.
Well my Friend that was back in 2004, now this times are $98.00

Even 150k is really the high end of things here. That's what my friends pay who also pay 240k for a pound of weed that can be gotten for 50k.

This is of course for a 15-20 min romp on site, but, in my opinion, well worth it for the sport fucker like myself! I would like to know if there are any other places with similar quality for the same prices.
This has me wondering if the girls at Casanovas or Mansion would go for similar prices for shorter times onsite.

What some people do here is they go to La 49 and hook up with girls there, and then once they gain each others' confidence they start to arrange outcall sessions from them. That usually runs around 150k for TLN. Once again, La 49 would be a helluva rare treat for me. I'm just too much of a cheap bastard. I can't imagine paying 160k just for bottle service, even if split 4 or 5 ways. That's so far above the normal market value here it's not even funny!
There are tons of brothels along la 17, Santa Fe as is mentioned here a lot, and also along the 60s and 70s and La Caracas there are tons of other places. Most of these places are in the 30-70k range. Once again, takeout is almost always an option, especially after you've hit a particular girl a couple times. The good part is that these areas are very concentrated so if you don't like one place you just move on.
Oz Platinum on 74th just below Caracas is a strip club where they have a room where you can take girls. The incall part is cheap, to take a girl out is ridiculously expensive though. I have reports from a couple threesomes I had there with my wife a long time ago, you can search for it.
TBPH, I'm in an amigovia phase and really don't even visit the whiskerias that much at this particular point. I've got a couple hookups with girls I really like as people who have their own places and their own money and we treat each other a lot and have no problem keeping each other warm. But of course, you have to have the balls to come here and live here full time to get that sort of benefit!

ThanksI stayed at the Embassy Suites several times, called an Escort Service, the lady went to the front desk, they phoned me to advise I had a visitor, once the clerk escorted the lady, knocked on the door and I signed something. That was the worst of it. I never brought one back, I do not think they would object.

In my recent research into chica fees and chica friendliness, I e-mailed a lot of places and called a few too. Here's what I found as far as chica fees go. I think you can circumvent these fees in some cases, such as when you can sneak a girl in or make buddies with the front desk clerk. In any case, these are the "official policies" of the hotels.
By the way, for my money the Embassy Suites is the place to be. I had no problem bringing girls back. They didn't even have to sign in. No charges, no nothing. The suites are large and clean. Something like $120 USD per night.

Reading the report about chica fees I remember having faced similar situations quite a few times.
In general hotel staff do not hazzle customers when bringing in a girl. During daytime she just registers at the reception and no additional fee should be paid. At night in good hotels where security is high, which is recommendable of course, registration should be required, too. In smaller hotels, especially if the staff knows you well, the night guards could let the girl in when you accompany her, generally without asking questions.
Guys, everybody knows, what is going on and that especially foreigners tend to have a bunch of girlfriends over there. I am in mid 30s and used to stay in Suitesreal and have never had a problem there. Just be a good and friendly guest, good Spanish helps, tip the security guys and all will be fine, even if you come home with changing temporary girlfriends.
Back to chica fees in upperclass hotels and apartment suites: You are the guest, you pay the room and I for ex. have never paid any additional chica fee for an overnight guest. As soon as they try to put it on my invoice the manager gets an immediate appointment with me. One thing helps: I always make reservations for 2 persons, even if I check in alone. So even the breakfast is already paid for 2 persons. No chance of covering any additional fee then.
And again: Fluent Spanish and a friendly chat with the security guys helps a lot, so that they know you well and can expect a tip.
