Day 1.

Spent almost 2 weeks in the south of the city doing strictly day game around the University del Valle area and Unicentro and some parts of the north around Centenario Mall, with only a sloppy BJ to show for it all. Which admittedly is still better than nothing.

That being said, I decided to ship in a young sexy 21 why / o Colombiana from Manizales (I had met about 5 weeks prior) for my last weekend in Colombia. I had a few lukewarm prospects for the weekend but decided on the sure things instead. She had been hitting me up lately with, "quiero verte antes de irte. " So I decided to go for the guaranteed lovin and bought her a bus ticket to Cali.

I met her at the Terminal de Transportes around 10 PM on a Friday night as her bus was actually on time. From here we grabbed a quick snack before making our way over to the taxi line. Take note this is the official taxi line. We did not hail a cab from the street which is generally not advisable in Colombia, even though I've done it several times without incident. There was a single dark-skinned Colombian guy (looked black) in front of us in the line with several other middle-class people with luggage behind us. Red flag #1, when it was time for the black guy to get a taxi, I noticed that the next available taxi actually waved off this black guy and pointed to us to come get in instead. The thought that crossed my mind was about a Chris Rock standup routine complaining how hard it is for a black person to get a taxi in NYC, but otherwise didn't think anything of it.

Red flag #2 - I was instructed to put my girls luggage in the front passenger seat. When I closed the door (a bit too firmly, apparently), the taxista started angrily complaining that I slammed it way too hard. He clearly seemed to be agitated for some reason. I apolgized and was like, "tranquilo, tranquilo. " Anyway, I gave him the address to my hotel and didn't think anything more of the situation.

Red flag #3 - about 2-3 minutes after leaving the terminal, the taxista pulled into a natural gas refueling station to fill up the tank. We were instructed to get out of the car while it was being refueled for our own safety. The taxista then disappeared for a few minutes and returned once the refueling was complete, probably 4-5 minutes later.

Ref flag #4 - we get back in the car and the guy is complaining about how expensive it cost to have to refuel his car (50,000 COP) and about how he has already been working 20 hours straight today. I was starting to now get uncomfortable at this guy's negativity but me and my girl just kinda brushed him off and thought it better to ignore him.

We slowly approach my hostel now and it is probably 10:45 PM. My hostel is located on Calle 5 across from the Library. It is quite dark, there isn't much traffic, but I didn't think anything further. The taxista approached my hostel very slowly as he appeared to be looking at the numbers to see where the hotel was. Eventually, I just said, "this is close enough, we will walk 3-4 buildings. Gracias. " We get out of the taxi, my girl gets our on the opposite side toward the driver's side / street and I get out on the opposite side on the sidewalk / passenger side. Pay the man 20 k and get about 9 k change. I have the change now in my left hand and my girl's wheeled suitcase in my right hand. Close the door gently, and the guy pulls away about 20 ft and stops.

As I turn to my right I see a guy on a motorcycle (engine quietly running) wearing all black clothing and immediately notice a semi-automatic pistol in his lap, full face helmet on his head. Immediately I knew we were fucked. Next thing I know I feel a cold hard metal object being repeatedly rammed into my right shoulder blade. I knew it was a gun (#2). I dropped the taxi fare change to the ground, and we both simultaneously put our hands up. Then, I slowly went for my iphone 4 in my left pocket and just held it up. It was snatched up immediately. I look out of the corner of my eye and I see my girl in a hysterical panic. The girl was now being approached by guy on motorbike #1, gun shoved in her face. The guy takes her huge purse and her wheeled suitcase, when a third guy on motorbike pulls up now and scoops up her suitcase. The guy then starts patting her down with one hand while holding her at gunpoint with the other. From here, I still have a gun in my back, and my guy tells me "Cartera, Cartera. " I reach into my right pocket and give him my moneyclip. From here, the guys slowly walk towards their waiting motorbikes while looking back over their shoulders at us.

Then, they just drive off, while occasionally looking back at us. I grab my girl and we immediately run into the front entrance of my hostel. The robbery is over, although she is absolutely hysterical and can barely breathe.

Overall damage: she lost what amounted to easily over $1200 USD in merchandise. For her, this is about a 3 month salary. Two smartphones, lots of nice clothing, her wallet, bank card, 30,000 pesos in cash, makeup, purse, etc. I lost about 150,000 pesos in cash, my travel bank card, my ID, and a beat-up iphone 4.

Lessons learned / advice from this experience:

(1) Whenever possible, always use easytaxi, uber, or a similar app when calling taxis in Colombia. This will ensure that you have the driver's information in the event shit hits the fan. I personally prefer using public transport when possible, but in a city like Cali this isn't really possible.

(2) Under no circumstances should your taxi driver stop en route to your destination. Taxi drivers are specifically prohibited from doing this during a taxi fare. Didn't know this at the time.

(3) Under no circumstances should your taxi driver be on his phone. People in Colombia are generally very wary / paranoid of a taxi driver on their phone because it is easy for them to tip off some waiting robbers.

(4) If your taxi driver seems agitated or in a negative mood at all whatsoever, get the fuck out of the cab and get a new one. There is no reason you should be dealing with a taxi driver with a bad attitude or bad mood.

Final thoughts.

It turns out we firmly believe that we were set up. The whole thing was planned. When we stopped to fill up the tank, we believe that the taxi driver called in the muscle during the time that he disappeared to use the bathroom. Next day, we filed a police report at the police station in the centro of Cali, then I went to the bus station and we watched the video of the registered taxi line. While at the police station telling our story, one of the clerks just shakes her head, let's out a sigh, and says, "Cali es Cali" (Cali is Cali). She seemed disappointed but completely unsurprised. Luckily, our taxi driver's vehicle was on video and we were able to get his plate number. That being said, it is highly unlikely that there will be any sort of justice done on our case. After talking with the police detective, we realized how swamped and understaffed their office seemed to be. We realize and understand that there will probably be no justice in this case, given how inefficient the justice system seems to be in this country. Lesson learned, and I hope at least one person can learn from this too.

He just got a bad apple taxista and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cali is Cali like that clerk said. I've been to Cali 10 Xs and been to that bus station and thru that taxi line numerous times without incident. Never been robbed in Cali; maybe I'm lucky or doing something right, don't know. That guy did the right thing and gave over his cell phone and wallet (cartera) without blinking. But to know that you have a bad taxista with an attitude in advance is impossible to know.

Three days in Cali at Four Points Sheraton (which is cheap for what you get). Visited Flores Frescas (Calle 20 N #4 N-16) only 2 blocks from the hotel. Reasonable service from Ailena, who was the only one in the bar when I got there at 7-8 pm. I think I paid over 100 USD (for an hour. The waiters did not seem honest and kept raising prices, so I didn't spend much time there. Overall, relatively clean. Went to Events Lizz (Ave 2 and #19 and-65) a few blocks down next to the river. Lizz opens by noon and I found several women there by 3 pm. No dancing, but you can have your own private dance downstairs (in the back off the courtyard) where there are small rooms each with a strippers' pole. I overpaid 50 mil for a few dances; but thought she was cute and sweet, so I paid. Service upstairs costs 80-120 mil (I overpaid for the latter). Overall, the service was reasonable but nothing special. A mother of 4 with short blonde hair and braces was very nice. Sorry, can't remember names. Overall, the club was honest and the bouncer insisted that I wait for a cab after dark. Also, the younger workers can offer "party favors" if you're into that.

cali plaza hotel is good to stay. i was there for 8 nights in august. female guests can come in anytime during the stay, but must have i'd and photocopy of the i'd is left at the desk. the hotel staff is familial / collegial and friendly with a good service attitude. the wi-fi is strong and good speed. the hotel comes up quickly on agoda and hotels.com. however, you can also contact the director of events directly to negotiate a price including all taxes, and double occupancy and breakfast for two. i paid what came out to be about 70 usd per night for a one bedroom / one bath full kitchen apartment inclusive of all taxes, breakfasts for two and unlimited guests with i'd. the hotel is clean and enough space in the rooms. however, try and stay in the back (example room 201,202, 301) as there is an open air bar / restaurant (good one / popular in the area of the city el viejo barril) directly across the street and it is loud..You've did a great review. I will be heading to Cali on October 7th for the first time ever and staying for 2 weeks. I may do some traveling, but home base will be Cali. Just a side note related to my Clinica experience. Before hitting Doctor Amor, I visited this establishment located almost at the corner of 28 N and 6 bis N, upstairs from a front store disguised as a barbershop. So we'll disguised that I was unsure if that place changed of business.

Hi everyone! I am looking to visit Cali for the first time in August for approximately two weeks. I've checked the Cali forum and Cali Lists and found lots of good stuff to help me. Even more so if you are into Salsa / Cuban music. The City is full of energy almost like Carnaval. Everybody is ready to party and non pros can be gotten if you're reasonably young and fun-loving (although obviously pros are also available).

You can see one or more big acts every night. I've seen Sonora Poncena, El Gran Combo, LOS Van Van, LOS Hermos Lebron, Grupo Niche and many more. Just a fantastic time.

Note that that week (between Christmas and New Year's) is dead in almost every part of Colombia except Cali where it's the opposite.

Got into Cali a couple of days ago. Staying in Miraflores / South Cali. Good area. Visited Adorables Chicas en Fantasias #2, Carrera 23 #9 e-91. About 10 girls. They were ok-ish. None of them floated my boat apart from one. A girl from Pereira. She was great. Spent an hour with her. Came back the next day at around 2 pm but they only had one girl on. Didn't get up to much today. I hiked my way across Cali to Bar La 20 (Viente) #1, Calle 20 #7-42. The streets were quiet as it's Sunday. I'm thinking that those streets would be a little funkier at night time but during the day, I'd be unlucky to have to deal with trouble. Bar La 20 was quiet when I got there. But over the course of the afternoon, it filled up both with customers and chicas. Bloody seats were damned uncomfortable but beer was cheap. I think a Club Colombia was 3500.

Your chances of being robbed go way up when you're not aware of your surroundings. If you're aware that someone is paying too much attention to you, or is trying to get too close, you can usually avoid the situation. Unless your phone is on fire, keep it in your pocket.

Over the years it has deteriorated that most of the clubs that once attracted the crowds have closed down. Business has also been drying up for the sex workers in this area. Many trannies have taken over their territory so if you monger here you better do a voice check or a crocodile check before you get take out.

I still have the contact numbers for a couple of the girls that work these streets if you want a safe adventure at a reasonable price.

It's a very clean and classy place, kind of pricey for local standards (massage packages start from COP 70000). I was presented 4 girls, all of them 6-8's on my 1-10 scale. Attractive, clean, but no one a stunner that turns heads. They come in brown bath-coats which don't allow to reveal the full figure.

I chose the light skinned one (Meli? Shorty, beautiful face and thick lips. The room is as depicted, with a very clean shower.

The problem is that I don't speak spanish and well, frankly, this town is pretty fkn rough. I am staying penon. My question: how would you illicit or inspire an employ like him to get the performance you want?

The language barrier isn't a problem when I have time, space, and quiet to type / speak in a focused setting. The problem is that nighttime in this town is anything but LOL!

I guess a good recommendation for a rub / tug, motel, that is open during the day would be best. That way I can safely uber there and back. An outcall agency that has a receptionist that speaks english would also be good, my apartment doesn't care if I have chicas over.

The daytime is a more focused atmosphere than the nighttime IMHO. The club thing over here is just not for me. Those are located in nasty areas of town and dangerous to be in after dark, the music is loud (where a speech-oriented app translation is impossible), and everything is too crazy to have any kind of focus (so a translator app is too slow to be useful).

Bar La 20 is south of the Cali River, I guess youd call it on the southside. Yes its near parque San Nicolas that's the main one, but across the street is No. 2. Smaller venue and a lot fewer chicas. Not really worth going to but an easy pop in after finishing at the main Bar La 20. Cheap beers, blue collar environment. Go at 5 pm should be a lot chicas there.

Casas:

Dr. Amor: The girls have wristbands whose color indicate the price. This place has a lot of girls. They tend to be on the thick (not fat) side and a good number have had surgery. Probably the nicest rooms I've had in a casa in Colombia. Sorry I forget the prices, they are higher though (maybe 80-120 a half hour, and another 60 for 2 or 15 hours, sorry I forget). This year I haven't pulled the trigger on any girls there. When I did the service was good though. They're not pushy about taking a girl, after they do the lineup if you want to sit somewhere and think it over that's fine. IIRC the rooms had showers. On google maps I think they start you looking the wrong way if you search for "Dr Amor, Cali". Turn the camera around and you'll see a parking lot with a grey fence. Once I had to go through that parking lot, you go to the right after you enter the lot. Otherwise go to the right from the street, taking a left following the outside of the parking lot and its the next building. Various shrubbery, it has a white picket door on the fence. In google maps there is a guy in a red shirt in the outer entrance (I'm curious which one of you that is).

Caras Lindas: Smaller, they usually have at least 4 girls though sometimes 8 or 10. Different girls have different rates, I think its between 45 and 55 for a half hour, maybe 75 and 85 for the full hour. I suppose some have a lower rate. There was a girl there named Mariana, 18 flaca that was doing nice GFE service (+20 oral natural). She stopped working but I heard she is back in the evenings. There is one other girl there I like, a short flaca with black hair. Might be died purple? Also GFE, the second time I saw her I offered +20 for oral natural. Granada club: This place is more discrete. Its near Caras Lindas, if you head towards parque de tortuges and from there go west on Calle 18 Norte there is a dead-end street Avenida 7 a Norte. They have no signage and don't publish the street number (and I forget it). But its on the right, not all the way at the end but just past where the buildings recess a bit. I lucked out once and passed when they had their door open and that's the first time I found it. The other time there was a younger guy sitting at the intersection (I thought he was washing windows or something) who asked me something I didn't understand before he led me to the case. I think they want 75 an hour. He said he has 4 or 5 girls, I think there were 4 the last time I went. I didn't pull the trigger. One was hot for the tall thick (not fat) amazon type. I was underwhelmed though.

8/6 "Spazz's rumba".

My first day in Cali and this was Random strip club in Grenada. Dirty, gross, loud music, and loaded with ugly girls. A nutshell for Spazz and everything that he is. - the girl was Manuela, morena, well toned, firm tight flat stomach, wide hips, fake tits but not too big. Chino features Like a Thai "little brown fkng machine. " Very mechanical. It was okay I guess. Cold shower after.

We left and went to another place, Events Liz. Veronica. Sweet face, light skinned, dark hair, Natural tits. All in all not too bad. Did the bottle service with the room and 20 min upstairs. It was aight but nothing to write home about. If Spazz wasn't a part of this it would have been better. And the place is also in a shtty, shady azz part of town.

8/10 - fired Spazz, but the only good thing he ever did was introduce me to Bernie, a driver who turned out to be the best damn reference I can give you for Cali. Ask me for his contact, HIGHLY recommended.

Something I learned about the scene here in Colombia, the club thing just doesn't do it for me here. I don't speak the language, I'm not into salsa, and they are brilliant atmosphere to burn all your money before you get to the action. Once you're there, its very short time left on the clock. Its meant to be deceptive in order to keep the customer confused and frustrated. The girl is good, but I don't recommend clubs. So I am going to go the more focused route and take their environmental weapons out of the equation. After I found Bernie, I stuck with the option of private delivery and never looked back.

Welcome to Cali! A city where stop signs and red lights are merely recommendations after midnight.

First and foremost, I want to thank World Travel 69 for his excellent map and BayBoy for his recommendations. There was very little information that I found, but World Travel 69's map was golden! I always try to update his maps whenever I visit the countries. This trip, it was truly a challenge because there were so many damn places to go. I focused mainly on the clubs, not the casas. In four nights, I never made it to all the clubs, but I really tried DAMMIT!

Logistics:

Flight:
You can get coach flights out of San Diego for around $970 and change.

Logging:
I rented a nice two bedroom apartment on Airbnb for $100 per night. The place was a rooftop penthouse with a jacuzzi and my host was great. It was located in a very nice barrio called Granada.

Weather:
The weather was in the 80's during the day, but the city cooled down nicely after the sun went down; when I do the most damage!.

Money:
The currency is in thousands, which takes a day or two to get used to. Fuck, I hate math! On the average, the rate was 3000 to 1 US. So basically, I just divided by 3 and it seemed to work out. The small bills are a fucking waste of time! For example, the 1000 note is worth 33 pinche cents!

Exchanging dollars:
My host warned me about changing dollars at the bank or western union. He said they offer 10-20% below the official exchange rate. But, I did not want to simply trust my credit cards with the ATMs. Thus, I brought cash and went to one of the banks the second day. What a fucking ordeal! I was in the bank for over an hour, filling out paperwork, and giving them my fingerprints; lesson learned. It took forever and a day to get out of that damn bank!

Getting around town:
I rarely used taxis during my stay. I used one from the airport to the apartment, it costs 60 K. When I was in a hurry, I used a few taxis; they were dirt cheap. Even cheaper, I used Uber most of the time. The first night, I met a taxi driver named Edward. I used him for the four nights. We agreed on an hourly rate. I like having the security of someone waiting for me. Because some of the places I went, most would be scared to get out of the car, no less, enter the place.

Language:
Very few chicas, taxi drivers, and restaurant workers knew how to speak anything but Spanish. I struggled at times, but that was part of the fun of exploring a different country.

Communication:
I have the T-Mobile North American plan. My plan gave me unlimited data at 2 G speed, calls at 20 cents per minute and free texts. Thus, I started using WhatsApp on my regular phone. I started chatting with my apartment host before I left. As long as I had a WiFi signal, WhatsApp was free of charge. I was chatting on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype; including video calls for no charge whatsoever.

Where and what I ate in Cali. First off, if you are seeking great chow, Colombia should not be your first stop! I really did not have a lot of time to eat at restaurants; too busy running the streets naked. But there were a few places with decent food:

Il forno. Pasta dish called Sicilana.
El Valencia. Paella with beef, chicken, and ribs.
La Cerveceria. Cordon bleu.
Macarroni's. Lasagna.
Koky. Late night chow, open until 6 AM.

All of the other food I ate was unmemorable.

The Venues:
First off, I'm not a big casa type person. But I was determined to hit every club on the map. However, Colombia decided to have a damn election during my visit. Thus, my last night, Saturday, there were no bars, clubs, or discos operating after 6 PM. It was not a problem because all the girls were not working and were hitting me up on WhatsApp, so I had my favorite of the trip come by for a couple of hours.

I was determined to gather as much information as possible. In each bar / club / venue, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. As each night went on, the more I drank. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to correct me. The fichas were various prices, I am quoting the lowest ficha price.

I don't drink beer or whisky, so in many of the places, I was shit out of luck. Some places offered shots of rum and tequila, which I could live with. Otherwise, I just had a tasty bottle of water; sad, huh? In every place I went, sex onsite and offsite was available. I will mention my favorite places at the end of my club listings. Before I report on these next clubs, I want to share my thoughts on El Centro. I went during the daylight hours, which was a good call. The area is not for the faint of heart. It's pretty rough and not a place that you would what to walk around, especially if you have blonde hair like me. My Uber driver was hesitant to drop me off in front of Bar La Veinte 1. I told him, don't worry, I'll be fine (I hoped).

As I left Bar La Veinte 1 to go over to Bar La Veinte 2, I asked the security guard where Bar Gardenias was located. It was a few doors down with a blue awning. After I checked out Bar Gardenias, I was walking past the security guard and he asked me where I was going. I told him I was headed to Bar Soreno, which was about a block away.

The security guard told me that it was obvious that I was a gringo and insisted that I should not walk in the area. So, I took a fucking taxi to Bar Soreno, even though the place was just a block away. But, I salute the security guard for being concerned for my safety; it was thoughtful.

To newbies. The term they use for a 1,000 note is Mil, meaning thousand. So 20 mil is 20,000 pesos, on and on.

Comments. Yes the security guy at the club gave you great advice to take a cab even for one block. I was in centro last year and just as bad if not worse than the zombie land of Medellin centro (just north west of Raudal) with literally a thousand drug addicts on the street in a two block area.

As to Cartagena, Cartagena seems to be more of a tourist place, especially for the Colombians (been there twice). Lots of women, but limited in clubs when compared to Cali.

On the follow up question regarding Medellin vs Cali. The answer is simple: Medellin is a much more beautiful city.

Cleaner air, better nature, better cultural monuments, bigger city, more variety in everything.

But, as Cali do not even have even a slice of the tourist crowds that nowdays spam Medellin. (I swear. I hate filthy, dirty backpackers and worthless hipsters. So I stay way way way out of Lleras).

That means your chance of meeting a nonpro in Cali that are not jaded from the waves of hipster-tourists, are a lot bigger.

Also prices for P4P is lower in general (if you are a bottomfeeder, strolling the dirty streets in el centro, Medellin, looking for a glue sniffing woman that has not washed herself properly in the last year. Please stay in Medellin. The filthy centrodump is your paradise).

For everyone else, P4P prices are lower in Cali.

Just remember Mr Toms warning: very few people in Cali speaks English, and those that do, are often well educated upper middleclass = not your typical P4P/ nonpro target group.

Been to both Cali and MDE many times. To answer Thad Max's question, yes women are generally a bit darker in Cali. Cali has a more substantial Afro-descent population. Both cities have plenty of very attractive women. Cali has more of a dance culture, so the women tend to be pretty fit.

Other differences-.

MDE is a more "pleasant" city. Cali is poorer than MDE and in general, just a bit more grungy, though it has some very nice areas. Also Cali is a bit hotter than MDE (though not nearly as hot as Cartagena). No metro train in Cali like in MDE.

There is even more silicone in Cali than in MDE (hard to believe). Go out to clubs and you will see some women that look like cartoon characters.

Easier to meet non-pros in Cali.

You're less likely to run into fellow Gringos in Cali.

I like both cities, and I frequently hit both in the same trip.

Great report. My real takeaway is that I did not miss a thing when I was in Cali last year and did not partake in any mongering. I am getting embedded in Medellin. The way TomJackin layed out the report is great! I am here now and can vouch for the accuracy of this report. Here is my little two cents.

I visited Dr Amors and sessioned twice. First time with a 21 year old Blanca blonde Paisa. She is tall and has the typical Paisa face very pretty. She was super tight and very accommodating. Probably my favorite stop of the night. About 20 women. Some really good looking. Others average. It's a small bar but wasnt crowded. I like the variety of looks here. Had a few women trying hard to get me to stay when I was ready to leave. Went around 1 am. Prices were 100 k for 20 minutes, 150 k for 30 and 200 k for an hour. Cali is freaking great. There are alot of spots. Those were just night spots. I'm here visiting one of my girlfriends and there is so many hot girls here that are non pros. Like honestly my girlfriend was honestly hotter than 90 percent of the girls I seen in the clubs and casas. And walking around you see alot of the same thing. Alot of opportunity here. Alot of people say that it's dangerous here. The Uber driver said not really it's just like any other place. He lived in Tampa and New York and said it's just as dangerous as those places. Now, granted both of us resembles people in Cali. He said I'm built like an NFL player so I would have no trouble here and that's been my experience in most places.

I would highly recommend Cali to anyone. There is a lot of beautiful women and places to find them for great prices here. It's a lot more spread out than Medellin the forum favorite but to me there seems to be a lot more women here. Bogota Sante Fe Is still best in the world. But places like Dr Amor are excellent establishments.


Welcome to Cali! A city where stop signs and red lights are merely recommendations after midnight.

First and foremost, I want to thank World Travel 69 for his excellent map and BayBoy for his recommendations. There was very little information that I found, but World Travel 69's map was golden! I always try to update his maps whenever I visit the countries. This trip, it was truly a challenge because there were so many damn places to go. I focused mainly on the clubs, not the casas. In four nights, I never made it to all the clubs, but I really tried DAMMIT!

Logistics:

Flight:
You can get coach flights out of San Diego for around $970 and change.

Logging:
I rented a nice two bedroom apartment on Airbnb for $100 per night. The place was a rooftop penthouse with a jacuzzi and my host was great. It was located in a very nice barrio called Granada.

Weather:
The weather was in the 80's during the day, but the city cooled down nicely after the sun went down; when I do the most damage!.

Money:
The currency is in thousands, which takes a day or two to get used to. Fuck, I hate math! On the average, the rate was 3000 to 1 US. So basically, I just divided by 3 and it seemed to work out. The small bills are a fucking waste of time! For example, the 1000 note is worth 33 pinche cents!

Exchanging dollars:
My host warned me about changing dollars at the bank or western union. He said they offer 10-20% below the official exchange rate. But, I did not want to simply trust my credit cards with the ATMs. Thus, I brought cash and went to one of the banks the second day. What a fucking ordeal! I was in the bank for over an hour, filling out paperwork, and giving them my fingerprints; lesson learned. It took forever and a day to get out of that damn bank!

Getting around town:
I rarely used taxis during my stay. I used one from the airport to the apartment, it costs 60 K. When I was in a hurry, I used a few taxis; they were dirt cheap. Even cheaper, I used Uber most of the time. The first night, I met a taxi driver named Edward. I used him for the four nights. We agreed on an hourly rate. I like having the security of someone waiting for me. Because some of the places I went, most would be scared to get out of the car, no less, enter the place.

Language:
Very few chicas, taxi drivers, and restaurant workers knew how to speak anything but Spanish. I struggled at times, but that was part of the fun of exploring a different country.

Communication:
I have the T-Mobile North American plan. My plan gave me unlimited data at 2 G speed, calls at 20 cents per minute and free texts. Thus, I started using WhatsApp on my regular phone. I started chatting with my apartment host before I left. As long as I had a WiFi signal, WhatsApp was free of charge. I was chatting on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype; including video calls for no charge whatsoever.

Where and what I ate in Cali. First off, if you are seeking great chow, Colombia should not be your first stop! I really did not have a lot of time to eat at restaurants; too busy running the streets naked. But there were a few places with decent food:

Il forno. Pasta dish called Sicilana.
El Valencia. Paella with beef, chicken, and ribs.
La Cerveceria. Cordon bleu.
Macarroni's. Lasagna.
Koky. Late night chow, open until 6 AM.

All of the other food I ate was unmemorable.

The Venues:
First off, I'm not a big casa type person. But I was determined to hit every club on the map. However, Colombia decided to have a damn election during my visit. Thus, my last night, Saturday, there were no bars, clubs, or discos operating after 6 PM. It was not a problem because all the girls were not working and were hitting me up on WhatsApp, so I had my favorite of the trip come by for a couple of hours.

I was determined to gather as much information as possible. In each bar / club / venue, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. As each night went on, the more I drank. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to correct me. The fichas were various prices, I am quoting the lowest ficha price.

I don't drink beer or whisky, so in many of the places, I was shit out of luck. Some places offered shots of rum and tequila, which I could live with. Otherwise, I just had a tasty bottle of water; sad, huh? In every place I went, sex onsite and offsite was available. I will mention my favorite places at the end of my club listings. Before I report on these next clubs, I want to share my thoughts on El Centro. I went during the daylight hours, which was a good call. The area is not for the faint of heart. It's pretty rough and not a place that you would what to walk around, especially if you have blonde hair like me. My Uber driver was hesitant to drop me off in front of Bar La Veinte 1. I told him, don't worry, I'll be fine (I hoped).

As I left Bar La Veinte 1 to go over to Bar La Veinte 2, I asked the security guard where Bar Gardenias was located. It was a few doors down with a blue awning. After I checked out Bar Gardenias, I was walking past the security guard and he asked me where I was going. I told him I was headed to Bar Soreno, which was about a block away.

The security guard told me that it was obvious that I was a gringo and insisted that I should not walk in the area. So, I took a fucking taxi to Bar Soreno, even though the place was just a block away. But, I salute the security guard for being concerned for my safety; it was thoughtful.

In the last 18 years I've travelled to Colombia maybe ten times, mainly stayed in Cali. This time ten days in CLO and a couple days in Armenia. In Cali I went out with girls from Calenas Club VIP, Casa Paraiso and Kathmandu. The most expensive and sexiest girl was from Calenas Club ViP. No responses therefore I assume it isn't as great as Medellin or Bogot.Cali is more spread out. Medellin if you stay in el centro area is very walkable for mongering. Cali you need a cab for mongering. Price point is about the same. But with the influx of Venezuelan deals can be had. Also Cali isn't a pretty city like Medellin.

After somewhat disappointed first trip back from Medellin a few months ago, decided to try Cali this time.

Spent total of four nights and stayed in Granada neighborhood with well-known Airbnb place.

The Granada neighborhood was recommended from other members (thank you World Travel 69 and BayBoy) and it was great choice since the place was central to everywhere and very safe.

And, huge thanks to Global00 and TomJackin as I used your reports as my trip guide.

Here are some random things I noticed from the trip.

Uber- Believe or not, Uber was cheaper than Medellin. Every place that I went, it cost around $1-2 dollars.

Aguardiente- I am a huge drinker and Aguardiente brand wasn't available in Cali. They drink Blanco which is the same thing as Aguardiente but different brand name.

Bank ATM- Used the Davivienda bank and it gave me option to withdraw 2,000 k this time. Believe since I was using my Bank of America card few months back from Medellin, system might have remembered me.

Again, not sure with other members, but this combination gave me option to withdraw maximum of 2,000 k at every Davivienda bank locations I tried.

Food- There were so much restaurants and bars in Granada neighborhood. However, cannot recommend any places since foods I had was mediocre at best.

Finally, below are my experience with mongering in Cali.

Dr. Amor- I went to this casa every day during my stay and loved it. Usually, they had around 20-25 girls between 6-8 in looks. Never show anyone 10 but many were attractive. The place is very safe and met all my gringo friends in the waiting area. Unlike was in Medellin, it did not bother me to meet other Gringos since you do not see much in Cali. I was happy to see other fellow Americans which we linked up and went to the clubs together at nights. The cost was like 100 k per HR. I read report about wrist bands, but I never noticed the colors since I was just looking at the girls.

Casa Paraiso VIP- Went on Saturday afternoon and was disappointed. They had around 15 girls and really, they were all shockingly ugly.

Calenas VIP- Went to this place the first night around 1 am And I was only person in the club. They charged 10 k for door fee and place had around 6 girls. Since I was only person in the club, one girl literally told me that I was not going to leave without having sex with her (in a good way). So, I did end up having sex with her but didn't remembered much details since I was too drunk. The cost was 300 k per HR and room was nice with shower. I think motel was attached to the club.

Deluxe- Very posh place like La Isla in Medellin but smaller. A bit far from all the other places. Went here every night and liked what I saw. Found out that many girls were from Medellin and one girl told me that she works in Cali and other cities since she doesn't want her family to know which made sense. The cost was 300 k-400 k, but each girl took 250 k every night I was there. The room fee is extra 10 k but it's super clean with shower. There were about 15-20 girls and maybe less than 5- 10 guys during my visits. The three nights that I visited; it was all same girls.

Flores Frescas- Walking distance from my place in Granada. Went to this place twice both Friday and Saturday but it was closed. Someone shouted something in Spanish on the second floor, but I could not understand due to my lack of Spanish.

Escoces- High end place right next to Dann Carlton hotel in El Penon area. The place is somewhat small and English-speaking bartender told me it starts popping after 2 am And closes at 5 am. I did not see much talent and did not session. Because of Deluxe, was not able to come back to try again.

Club 44- it seems more local and girls look much younger with club vibe. Stayed for a bit but just went to Deluxe.

As you can see from my report, I went to Dr. Amor during the day and Deluxe at night. I do think that girls were better looking in Cali than when I visited Medellin few months back. Maybe all the Medellin girls were working in Cali, who knows.

Also, I never felt uncomfortable or in danger at any time. People were warm and make sure I was having a good time. All the places that I went, people were super friendly and welcome me to their city.

Unlike Medellin, Cali is a bit dull and grungy. However, there are tons of women out and felt like if my Spanish was up to par, non-pro game could be crazy as women were so approachable.

My trips always will be short such as 3-4 days due to my work and not sure if I give Medellin an another shot or just go to Cali again for next trip. I highly recommend anyone who visits Medellin frequently to try Cali to see for themselves.

I agree with the others. Thank you very much for the report! I've been a Medellin regular for 7 years and have taken maybe 3 trips to Bogota, 1 to Cartagena, and 1 to Baranquilla. Cali and Santa Marta are still on the list!

Just used Uber everywhere which was super cheap.

Cali isn't dangerous as people suggests. It just another city where people were super friendly.

That and reggaeton. In regards to these cultural traits, Colombia and Brazil are on different planets, though they share a border.

The only upshot I can think is that the unappealing food fosters a low rate of obesity. There is less incentive to eat. I was in Bogota last Labor Day and amazed that in the entire city, I only saw one fat woman. She was a late middle-aged looking woman working in one of those downscale neighborhood diners where they serve plates of food with four starchy entrees. I guess she came by it honest. Though I did read the body burns more calories at higher elevations and maybe that is why people seemed so trim in Bogota. That and constantly walking uphill.

The Tall Man.After getting abused for an hour by a 24 yo Venezuelan I selected at Dr Amor this afternoon, hehehehe and I was sure that she was a caliena, I have nothing left in me tonight to write a report of my visits last night. I liked the relaxed set up of Dr Amor and can now fully understand why many of you visit this place.

I too am not concerned about the color of the chicas wrist band (this dictates the girls cost per hour as they vary) as I select from looks and gut instinct and my selection this afternoon reinforces my MO, she is a sweetheart of a lady, enjoyed every minute with her and guess what? She is 90 mil an hour. Cost and looks are usually not relevant here as she was a bargain by any standard.

So I'm thinking about giving Cali a try, probably while the flower festival in Medellin is going on (trying to avoid those crowds).
