Master Monger, I wasn't there and don't know what happened. But I have known Rigo for a while now, and have seen him in various situations, and I have never seen him be scared.

I think that what Rigo was trying to tell you is that it wasn't worth the time, effort and risk to push the issue farther.

Ultimately what could you hope for, a complete or partial refund of your $180-200,000 pesos. How much trouble and effort would it take, and, if the bosses believe the girls story, then what? Sorry to hear that Master Monger, but it's not worth the hassle. I was in Cali and had a similar exp, and you're NOT going to get a refund, I certainly didn't. I guess, that the risk we take when we pay upfront. On top of that, the chica STOLE my camera(i only found out AFTER she left my room). Anyway, just chalk it up to cost of learning the ropes. From now on I would be VERY cautious about paying up front no matter WHAT the girl or the manager/pimp said, especially when you take them off site.

Just got back from Cali. I had a great time and a special thanks to the folks at Hostal San Fernando.

Here is a list of some places I went to (YMMV):

1. Cra. 23 #9e-91 Barrio Bretena, 80k per hour to take out, 50k if in-house. The gals at this place were all between 20-30 years old. Most were Fat and not very attractive. They had about 10 gals.

2. Dream Girls (that's the name on the card), Cra 44 #5B 79 Barrio Tequendama. They charge $40k per hour. I went there on a Monday and they only had one gal. According to the manager they usually have about 10 gals but, for some reason they only had 1 that night.

I will have to give MM a break on paying 150 for 3 hours at Kaliente. I have been there several times In the last year and a half, and I have never been able to get it any cheaper there either. If I remeber correctly its something like 100,000 an hour in house or for three hours out of the house its 150,000.

Hi guys,

I was just recently updated to Regular Member status as I have been reading the posts on a regular basis for a couple of months now. So here’s my request:

This will be my first visit to Venezuela, so can anyone provide me with information regarding the p4p and non-pro scenes in Puerto La Cruz and its surrounding areas/cities? I will be there this upcoming November for the good part of the month. I’m going with a friend who is originally from there so perhaps this will give me a boost of some sort. We’re planning on going to Caracas and Isla Margarita for a couple of days although I think Margarita would be closer to PLC.

So, any updated information would be greatly appreciated. Some good tips will definitely give me a head start and would help make my efforts be more on target (so to speak). I will also be reporting live from the scenes while I’m there in the hopes of providing this virtual community with substantive information. For those of you interested,
I am in Cali, I have been here close to two months. I have never visited any other city in Colombia so all my pictures were taken here...on a side note it will probably be 20 years before I come back to Latin America, while most of you think I have had a great time here in the last four months, I would just like to say this:

LATIN AMERICA in my educated opinion is filled with 95% of the women having their heart replaced with a calculator so they can figure out how much money they can (Literally) SCREW you out of. They need this calculator because the intellectual level here dips far below even the stupidity of the United States, which is quite a feat in itself.

Latin America is only for when you are OLD, UGLY, and have a nice fat retirement fund to feed all the pirahnas (girls). I have been to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Lastly Colombia so I dont think I am under-educated, I also speak very good Spanish.

For those of you with a little game, and looks, if you dont check out CHINA or INDONESIA well then your just foolish. I also speak Chinese and Indonesian.

I am done with Latin America for a long while, and for those of you who are whining, BUT I DONT LIKE ORIENTAL WOMEN, I highly doubt you speak any Oriental Language or have given it more than a month.

IN FACT: I would like to Challenge anyone who has been to the Orient and speaks the language, and who has also been to Latin America and speaks the language, to honestly tell me they like Latin America better. This also has to be in the last 4 years otherwise it is way out of date.

I havent decided where my next trip will be either Thailand or the Philipines but for sure somewhere in the Orient.

Well thats just my rantings and if you are still hell bent on going to Cali here are some great restaurants:

Lenos & Carbon in every major Mall - GREAT MEAT for about $7 a person

Crepes & Waffles - Everywhere in Cali and good - about $6 or $7 a person

La Papa on Ave. 6 around 20 next to Karens Pizza - about $6-$7 a person

Noche Del Rio on Ave 4 Oeste #01-109 Barrio Granada about $8 a person

Cali Viejo - Any taxi driver knows - About $10 a person

Maki - I know this sounds crazy but, GREAT SUSHI and it is located two blocks east of the Parque Del Penon in the north, but it costs at least $15 a person.

Tezones - Ave 8 Norte #29 on the corner - Awesome but about $15 a person

Tutti Sappori - Two places down from Tezones - ITAILIAN - $15 a person

Last Tip: Take an ad out in the EL PAIS asking for just a little bit better than you actually want for $5 dollars and your phone will ring off the hook!!! I have a 40% rate for banging the girls from my ad...FOR $5!!!! I banged 10 girls!!

I have to respectfully disagree, however, with your assesment of the latina.

I have lived and traveled all through Central America and all over Colombia and Venezuela.
The latinas I have met and dated through the years, for the most part, are sweet and from humble families that would give you their last peso and would never ever ask for a dime in return for their kindness.

I believe you got it backwards ... 95% of the "true" latin women are sweet, humble and loving ... looking for someone to love them back.

When I visit / date the "professional gringo hunters" , I expect them to be more calculating and cold.

I suspect your arrogance rubbed many Colombiana's the wrong way (the same way it irritated many here, myself included). IMHO, while the percentage of moneygrubbers is higher than Ricker's 5% estimate, it is closer to that that your ridiculous 95% estimate. Chinese are WAY more money oriented and mercenary than Latins. That is why they are rich and gewtting richer faster than any nation. Granted knowing Mandarin/Cantonese will give you an advantage that few kweilo have, but I think you are in for an eyeopening. I had a Chinese GF for about a year and we are still friends; she tells me LOTS about Chinese women.

Indonesia, on the other hand, is one of my two favorite countries for womanizing (Colombia being the other). Bahasa is simple to learn, and Bahasa speaking bule (foreigners) score BIGtime; easier than in Cali even. But, IMHO, Latinas (especially Colombianas and Brasileiras) are more truned in to their OWN sexual pleasure than Asians (this is a HUGE generalization, I know). There is a fiery pasion in the heart of a Latina that is mesmerizing.

I wish you good luck in Asia, but you might get better results even there if you tone down the narcissism a bit. Selamat Jalan.

My experience is that Asian girls are much more interested in only money than are the Latinas. Obviously, money makes the world go around, and "everybody" needs and wants money, especially girls who are engaged in "the business."

IMHO there is a higher percentage of Asian girls that are interested in "ONLY" the money. A higher percentage of Latinas seem to want to "share" the passion and the romance of the experience. The Latinas seem that, or at least act more like, they have a genuine desire to experience a BFE, and that they are also doing it for emotional reasons that go beyond just the money.

I can not say that same thing about Asian girls. Asian girls just seem to have a much more "clinical" approach to what they do. That doesn't mean I would kick the Asian girls out of bed, or that I would rate them poorly. I love Asian girls...

Much of this difference is probably rooted in cultural influences, and the inherent differences between a girl being raised in an Asian culture versus a girl being raised in a Latin culture. Not to mention the influence of me being raised in the USA, and the effect it has on my own perceptions and how I perceive the two cultures.

The way I see it, it's a bit like comparing a Rose to a Carnation. They are both lovely, but they are also slightly different.

But, IMHO, if you want a more genuine and romantically passionate GFE, then Latinas deliver the goods more consistently. Of course, there are acceptions to these broad generalizations. I know a girl in Thailand that can compete with the Latina girls I know...so, there you go.

Is it possible to get a long term girlfriend in Latin America if you can't afford to take her out....probably not unless they are poor trash.....although hard in the States it is possible, and I did it to over 300 girls in China and Indonesia, they thought I was a poor teacher.

One more gripe about latins is they typically don't respect anything but themselves...they don't respect time (Always late or sometimes don't show up at all)...they don't respect relationships (I find all too often they are motivated by the highest bidder and cheat on their boyfriends) Or if not they are ulgy, speaking of which I would like you guys to send pictures of these girls you say are nice because I have seen alot of REALLY NICE ugly girls, they don't have a choice.

On the other hand I was in China for 1 year and a half (Mainland - Middle - Northern China) Because all of southern China sucks ass!!

One more time I will not accept opinions of Chinese women from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shen Zhen, or even Beijing, because these girls are money oriented and UGLY. Well they are not ugly in Shanghai or Shen Zhen.
The best city is Xi'an, then Huibei, then ChongChing, then anywhere in nothern China.

Really I don't give a rats ass what gets me in their pants, as long as I do it, but here is a FACT: I can walk down any street in China or Indonesia and get lots of smiles from girls who are completely willing to fuck for free.

Latin girls don't give me the clear signals or just don't dig me as much either way I am going to the place where I am a Rock Star!!! I hear how handsome and intelligent I am on an hourly basis in China and Indonesia and that feels really great.

And China and Indonesia have an average monthly income of around $80 a month for the nation, where Colombia is close to $160, I can guarantee you that everything is Cheaper in China and Indonesia...read my posts for those two places.

You've posted some good points.
Have to agree with you regarding Colombianas conception of time. My chica stood me up at least 3 times in 3 weeks and came as much as 4 hrs. late other times. When I first met her, the first 3 dates she came 20 min. late using excuses regarding her children (possible). My tourist guide book mentions their inability to keep appointments. BTW, a P4P woman came only 20 minutes late to my hotel for a dinner date. Of course, she was "working".

I have visited several AMP here in my European city. My experiences are they are very money oriented (no pun int.). Getting every cent counts while the latinas in MP here are just nicer about it as the latinas in Cartagena. They trust me to pay afterwards while Asians expect payment upfront.

I have never been to China. It is on my list for spring 05. After reading countless posts from members in that area, my feelings are Asians have a tendency to cheat or require more payment for extras. Latinas seem to enjoy sex immensely willing to satisfy and be satisfied sexually while earning pocket money. Both their heart and body are into the experience. IMHO that's a true turnon.

WARNING...Sorry this turned into such a long post, but I must be feeling literary today :-), if you can call this kind of crap literature HAHAHAHA!!!

I can't comment on the quality of girls in China or Indonesia becauase I haven't been to those two venues...yet. But, as for Thailand, I agree with you that the girls are much more reliable at showing up than Latinas. Although, I must say that, in Cartengena, I had a very reliable string of girlfriends, and having them showing up was never a problem at all.

In fact, in Cartegena, the girls were almost too reliable, and I was having to artfully juggle them all the time just so I wouldn't have three of four of them at the apartment at the same time trying to kill each other. I remember coming back to the apartment, and having them waiting for me on the streets outside of my apartment. They would be pacing back and forth and anticipating that they were going to "catch" me when I came home.

I remember dodging them, and having to hide from a couple of them in a few stores along the adjacent street. Don't misunderstand...These were really sweet girls, and they did not have aggressive personalities, but they were not like the Thai girls who did not seem interested in spending more than the prearranged LT or ST periods with me.

Of course, I found a couple of Thai girls that were the exception, and they reminded me of these Colombianas. They were interested in LLLT with me, but generally the Thai girls as a whole were more interested in fulfilling the prescribed LT or ST, and then moving on to the next cliente.

However, I stand by my assessment of Asian girls, but more accurately meaning the Thai girls, and their "clinical" approach. The Thai girls just seemed colder and less passionate to me. In addition, I found them to all have the same body style, and their personalities to be very similar to one another.

When I was in Thailand, I found myself eventually becoming kind of board with the cookie cutter body styles and the seemingly cloned facial features. Don't misunderstand, I still consider them to be very beautiful girls, and on the whole, there seems to be a higher percentage of beautiful Thai girls than there are Latinas.

But, I was in Thailand for nine days, and I remember thinking on one of my last days, that I wish I was in Monterrey where I could have a much more diverse selection than the selection that I was eventually growing bored with in Thailand.

I sense a greater diversity and much more of a range of selection in the Latin countries. However, in Cartegena, I found there was also a limited diversity of selection (ie: many africana/morena mixes), but I have heard that Cali is much better for ethnic diversity.

I have found that sometimes it is my own approach that makes all the difference when it comes to interactions with women. I'm careful not to form mongering predjudices that might result in my erecting barriers that, through my own behavior, causes me to enjoy a venue less than I might potentially have the capacity to enjoy it.

I have proven to myself over time, that sometimes just a slight adjustment of my own attitudes can significantly effect the way things are going when I am in a specific venue. When things don't seem to be going my way, I try to really make myself aware of what I might be doing or thinking to cause the whole experience to be less than satisfying. Once I accept the reality of my own behavior, and I become more sensative to my own attitudes and behaviors, sometimes I am astounded at how things turn around. So, when things are not to my liking I start to look inward to see if my own thought and attitudes might be my problem.

Please don't misunderstand, this has merely been a commentary about my own behavior, and I am just relating a method I use to sometimes get out of a "funk" that I might be in when I find myself in a venue where I am less than satisfied. This is not meant to be taken as a comentary on anyone elses behavior or attitude, and I don't want it to be construed as such.

If China and Indonesia offer a "better" GFE potential, then I am all ears and open to the opportunities. Unfortunately, it's probably unlikely that I will get an opportunity to visit China and/or Indonesia in the forseeable future due to professional and personal obligations, but when and if I do, based on your obviously convincing and confident assessments, I will definitely be looking you up for advice.

I am sorry your experience in Colombia has apparently been disappointing. Sometimes it's really difficult when you have been to a much better venue (ie: for you, China or Indonesia), and you realize what you may be missing. I know how you feel...Sometimes all you can think about is what you could be having if you were only back to where you wish you were. I have thought many times that sometime ignorance is bliss...that is, sometimes I wish I did not know of another venue to compare a less than desireable expereince to.

I had the same experience in Costa Rica. If I hadn't found a couple of good girlfriends when I was in San Jose, I would have regretted taking the time to go there. Even now, I sometimes think of returning to Costa Rica to see these girls I know, and then I start to think that it just isn't worth the most two important things I have, time and more time. The cost of getting is relatively reasonable, but the cost of girls is relatively high.

Anyway, let us know if you find some diamonds in the rough their in Colombia. Also, let us know if you have traveled outside of Cali to Medellin, Cartegena, Bogata, Barranquilla, etc...I would like to hear your assessments of the other cities in Colombia if you have ventured to any of the other cities.

Regarding China, I know Guilin and the rock star thing is there (like Indonesia). Cantonese areas ARE less friendly, I agree. MY ex-GF here is from Chengdu, Szechuan, which reputedly has the best lookers in PRC. Also had some Northern girls (Tianjin area) met in Singapore, but being in SIN changes them I'm sure. I like LBFMs, rather than the tall, white, girls more common in North of PRC.

Try CTG before you bail on Colombia; a lot of guys prefer it to Cali, but scene is quite different. Also, long hair is disfavored by most Colombianas so that may hurt your game a bit; the rock star look goes over well in Brasil, Argentina etc. but Colombia is really a more conservative country where cleancut is what chicas prefer (Carlos Vives blonde dreadlocks being an exception).

Good luck in Asia. If you can speak putongua (Mandarin), you are a smart guy indeed. Fing brutal, like Thai or Vietnamese. That is why I love Bahasa (and Tagalog to a lesser extent). SO simple & phoenetic.

In fact, I prefer someone to come right out and say what they think without sugar coating everything. I have been to Indonesia and I agree 100% percent with what MM & Zippy had to say about. I too prefer the country and women over Colombia, the problem with me is that its just so Damn far away!!! Althought I do try to go when I can.

The Cali section has had little info on Avenida Sexta (6th ave) in past reports although we all know it is there.

Just to butt in about FF. One of the hottest chicas I ever got in my life was from that place. It is also the most expensive. mm, i found your posts interesting and informative and i look forward to more posts, but please, take a little care when your are mongering on sexta late at night...especially north of 17th (where the ice cream place is). i was in cali for 3 months earlier this year and thought it was safe checking out the ladies on sexta late at night until i had a couple close calls with some suspicious characters. in my 3 months, i don't recall seeing any police around that section of sexta late at night, so if you get in trouble, you are likely on your own.

going around sexta in a taxi is a safer option, but there are two things to be aware of, first, the taxi drivers expect to be well paid for this task. i'm not sure why, because normally the taxi's in cali are a great deal. they don't tell you up front either. upon leaving, they'll ask for about 20 mil (then again, maybe i was just unlucky with the drivers i selected). second, since there are many safer options in cali for these women to sell themselves, they are probably on the street for a reason. it might be to make a little extra cash than in the casas, but it could also mean they are ****d, failed the medical test given at the casa's, or they are not female. personally, i was very cautious about picking up on sexta. i had two very bad experiences and will probably never try again (fortunately, it was just bad service and i only lost about 40 mil each time).

also, i would think twice about posting an advertisement that mentions you are an american. i know the whole kidnapping thing is way overrated, but there is still a slight risk, and if the wrong person read the advertisement, it could invite trouble.

I actually got out of there with 300k for the chica for three hours. Very cool and I never haggled on price. I have heard more than one account where the experiences sucked. If you go to FF be prepared. My philosophy is why save 50-100k and have a shitty experience. The truth is if you have a crappy time you will get no sympathy from the management. At least the first time he was voted in, people could have hidden behind the fact that they didn't know the guy. But this time, the American people have confirmed to the world that they are not so bright by giving him 4 more wars (I mean 4 more years - it's the same thing anyway). The world has basically figured out that the US is not a heaven for investing that is any different than any other corrupt country. The only difference between the US and Argentina as an example, is that the US doesn't have the US that bullies him around while Argentina does.

The value of the dollar is set by the trust of people around the world in one's economy by a simple offer and demand mechanism. People do not want US dollars anymore because they think that other people will not want it also (bringing its value down). It's true that the US dollar was way overvalued before the tech bubble burst, and now it's closer to something reasonable, but still my wallet hurts.

My fellow Americans: enjoy the tax-break you have right now, because a shit load of reality is coming your way. When most Americans will start strugling with 14 hour/day jobs to put some food on the table like the rest of the world does, I do not believe the rest of the world will put an aid package together.

The sad thing is that I love so many American people and wouldn't want them hurt in any way. But WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING?

I am an American living in Europe for almost 30 years. I left because of my European marriage.

I have seen the dollar fall during Reagan's and Bush's years, increase during the Clinton years because of economic advancement and ellimination of the national debt.

GW Bush and the previous treasury secretary, John Snow are TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE for the weak dollar. They believed American industry could through exports of US goods abroad improve the US economy out of a major unemployment problem by deliberately allowing the dollar to fall, thus industry would hire through improved sales.

Well, it has backfired. WHY? The dollar is now over 30% weaker since its high about 3-4 years ago. Yet, most US products still cost the same as it did earlier. The importers are maintaining the high prices without reducing them in injunction with the falling dollar. Someone is reaping windfall profits. I can name many US products still costing the same price. Europeans are not buying.

The dollar is weak and will weaken until Bush raises taxes or reduces the deficit substantially. The deficit will increase because of an uncontrolable war and not finding the terrorists. Congress and the President MUST RAISE TAXES in 2005 or the dollar is going lower. Only an incompetent leader gives tax cuts in times of war or military conflicts. If FDR did, we'd all be speaking Deutsch today.

It will take 6-8 years from now to rectify "GW's" (Wrong) disasterous domestic policies.

Even a slight increase in interest rates has shown to be a negative effect on the currency. The dollar should have increased.

Yes, a majority of Americans are worried both at home and abroad but what does it help when a small majority of the population chooses a man because he is likeable, family oriented and church going. The president has to show results of his policies both domestic and intern'l. There are no long term results.

It's a little irritating to have members from other countries 'tut-tutting' about the poor Americans. I think there were plenty of us that understood the issues pretty well, but thanks for the feedback! I will be lecturing here on French and German foreign policy next week.

I can't imagine how we re-elected this guy either. It's seductive to think of Bushies as unenlightened sheep but I think that's lazy thinking. These people who 'voted Red' are a huge swath of this country and not just fringe loonies. They had their reasons voting for this dude and not addressing it may bring us more of the same *shudder*.

I think that there's something worthwhile, because the left were more vocal (Moore, MoveOn.org, etc) in this election than in the past and the voting went worse for the Dems.

Personally I agree we are in financial trouble. With the huge cost of war, raiding of Social Security as well as privitization of the fund, the disasterous give-away to the pharmaceutical companies in the Medicare 'Reform' bill, etc etc. it is no wonder the dollar is slipping. It's the whole reason I voted Democrat this election.

Gotta hand it to Rove. That guy really is a master of the political game.

Not to turn this into a polical discussion, but since I was one of the people that voted in this freakin' election I figure I oughtta have a say.

i moved my office recently in order to get a t1 line in cali. a buddy of mine from delaware has a porn shop here in cali (offering chat services from cali to people), and got a t1 line. he's a pretty nice guy. so i offered to fill the empty office in his building and use his high speed internet and he agreed. now, not only do i have a t1 line, but i also have a bunch of pretty looking women running around all day. all that for $120/month. ain't that a miserable life???

I went to see my med student in the afternoon. Good session of 1/2 hour. Then, back at work, a girl working in the building stopped by my office and asked howcome I didn't look at her more. been to thailand 5 times, indonesia 5 times and the philippines almost 20 times but none have stolen my heart like colombia. for pure sexual debauchery, colombia is no match for los (land of smiles=thailand). pi is perhaps most similar in that there is more romancing and "love". thais are more detached yet the sex can be very hot (eyes rolled up in the back of the head etc). for watching sex, los is way ahead of the others (though only in pattaya and still nothing like 10 years ago when live sex shows were all over the place). thailand has a president who would be called a bible thumper if he was not buddhist. he really has been cracking down on sex, drugs and rock and roll. imagine an intelligent version of bush. kinda like uribe. yet many thais would ask me about bush with thinly disguised contempt. virtually the whole world dislikes him (and, by extension, us).

thailand is certainly much safer than colombia, but it is also overrun with sex tourists, backpackers and tourist couples (unlike colombia). if you like hanging out with drunken euros and americans, you'll love it. relatively speaking, even cartagena has very few foreigners.

i love colombia for the country, the people and the romanticism of the girls. i like thailand for the gogo bars, blowjob bars and easy availability of every type of sexual activity you could imagine. everybody who enjoys the hobby must try both (or they are a very incomplete hobbyiest).

peso under 2200, yen at 100, thai baht under 40, canadian dollar at 85 cents etc etc etc.. like aids, osama bin laden and every other evil, the right wingers will blame clinton but they cannot deny the chronological correlation between the decline of the dollar and the idiot moving in the white house (and the economic policies of the current us government.)

I live in Cartagena. It is more safe than many US cities the same size(about 1 million). I have been to Medellin. It is safe if you stay out of the poorer barrios and stay in the city. The trip from the airport is safe.

I have heard that Cali, Bogota, Barranquilla, and Bucaramanga are relatively safe. Travel between cities by air. I am sure that many smaller cities are safe. But, unless you know that for sure, stay away.

Next month I am taking a three-day bus trip from Medellin to Cali with overnights in two smaller cities. I am travelling with an older, educated chica who was born and raised in Medellin.

Also, land transport between Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Santa Marta is generally safe.

Well this is not the place to discuss this crap but I would just like to explain where I stand.

I like providing definitions because it is difficult to refute them.

Ok, so, obviously Republicans are based off of a "Republic" standpoint and Democrats are based off of a "Democracy" standpoint.

Now before I say anything Else I would like to clarify that I really don't care who is President because I do not plan on living in the US for much longer. I am leaving for many reasons and some do include the political future of America which I feel may be a hopeless runaway train.

Back to the facts:

Republicans are usually, about 99%, very wealthy and powerful people in which about 50% have come from wealthy families. It is not a secret how Republicans feel about Rich and Powerful people and businesses. QUOTE: (George W. Bush at a fund raising dinner) "Quite an interesting group of people we have gathered here this evening, alot of have's and have mores, some people would call you my constituants, I like to call you my BASE. It is a FACT, Republicans focus on the views of the upper and the FOR THE TIME BEING upper middle class.

Democrats (the lesser of two evils IMHO) are also very wealthy people generally. One of the differences is they USUALLY made their money and are interested in politics for Fame, Power more money but sometimes maybe 20% of them actually want to help America as a whole with no reguard to furthering themselves in any way. Now democrats usaully look at society as a whole but because the Poor and Middle Class make up the majority of America it would seem that Democrats base off of them in there political views.

The problems and the conclusion:

Republicans want to enivitably control the people rather than the people control the government, because they are the rich and powerful and that has always been the way it is. Contrary to idiotic belief, Republicans, allow to be spent, and spend more money than Democrats, but shade it better especially with the words Defense, Infastructure, then as of recently Terrorism and Homeland security, and then to worsen the matter they cut taxes for the wealthy and BIG business. That is why we always have a deficit when a Republican is President...GO FIGURE.

Democrats on the other hand come up with programs that may, and I repeat "may" have been started to help the society as a whole but often have flaws that enable it to be taken advantage of, such as: Welfare. It is very easy, especially for narrow minded people, to jump on a band wagon of hate to hang the Liberal Democrats, when it is really the Republicans who spend the most money.

In political conclusion if you don't realize politicians are bad on a whole, then you come from the wrong position when addressing politics.

The best political setup for me is a house and senate slighty controlled by the Republicans with a Democrat President to veto all the bullshit spending and the tax cuts for the wealthy. My dream would be a organization that closely monitors government spending HONESTLY to seriously quell overspending and slush funds.

They will give you all kinds of business cards for places in the area and the cards usually have special deals on them. They clearly know what they are talking about when the subject is mongering in Columbia. I do not dispute this, in fact I read their posts to gleam information in preparation of my own trip to Columbia. I just object to the gratuitous Bush bashing on a forum devoted to finding and procuring women.

I would just like to point out that a clear majority heard all the arguments for removing Bush and decided to reelect him anyway. We are not all rich, bible thumping, right wing extremists. Elverselee: 6 cities (plus San Andres which is NOT a city) . None of the cities is extraordinarily dangerous IMHO (others may disagree) but you need to use common sense and be cautious in ALL (tourist parts of CTG safest, BOG most sketchy). Traveling by land BETWEEN CITIES (except CTG-BAQ) is MUCH more dangerous IMHO.

Costa Rica might still be a good idea for your first trip outside of the US. You need to get your feet wet. Cartagena is a possibility, but I would not suggest Cali for a first-timer even if you are fluent in Spanish.

I'm making my trip to South America in February and still deciding on where to go. I've been to Peru and have almost decided return there, but I'm also open to Columbia and Ecuador. I'm buying my ticket in the next week but I have one question that I can't seem to find the answer to (All I can find in this section seems to be US political crap).

Are there decent hotels in Cali that run around $30-$35 or less per night that are guest friendly? I'll be spending about 3 weeks wherever I go. I've found prices for everything to be in my range but the pricing I've seen for hotels seems to be much higher. I speak enough Spanish to get by and I'm a seasoned traveler so it doesn't have to a Hilton. I just want a comfortable place without bugs that is clean.

Right in the heart of Avenida Sexta, the area where you want to base yourself. This is the safest place in Cali as there is a permanent police checkpoint DIRECTLY in front. Tampa: IMHO if your Spanish is poor, I would stick to Cartagena as you will have a VERY hard time in Cali. Guides can only help you so much (like if you are trying to bond with a non pro and canbnot speak any Spanish your odds are VERY limited IMHO).

My first trip to Cali, on two occasion i had young 19-20 yr chicas eyeballed me bigtime at this internet cafe. BUT my spanish(5 week of pimsleur) at that time was really bad, couldn't even say anthing beyond hola, without resorting to my phrase book. I wasn't quick enough, i had to let those opp't pass. I did score w/ a non pro but that we met on the internet and she spoke some english put was patience with me.

I notice my next trip to BOG, my spanish(5 mos of pimsleur) was much better and consequently was able to connect faster w/ non pros and pros! In cali chicas eyeball alot more than in BOG, so you if you can talk, you're in. Plus your "foreigner" exotic factor goes a lot longer ways than BOG.

Hello and seasons greetings to all. I will soon be submitting some pics of a chica from the casa right next to the casa 'Faraon' on La Avenida del Rio. I forgot the name of the casa and the chica. She's from medellin and quite a caracter as well. Though, IMHO, Fantasias Internacional http://www.fantasias-internacional.com was a far better place. The casa on Calle 13 # 22a - 44 Barrio Junin, which seems to be the main one, is far better in terms of the rooms and the chicas than their second location.

A fellow monger has made a list available on most of the places to monger in Cali. The prices have gone up just a tad bit since then - very reasonable still. I stopped by a few of them but Fantasias took it away for me in terms of price, girls, room and availability. It was funny accidentally walking into the room where all the chicas sleep/live while they're there. It was also somewhat bizare seeing the owner of the place having drinks with some cops in uniform on one of my visits to the place. Nothing to worry about since it was business as usual. As you all know, I was in Cali for about two months and my experience with eyeballing was quite a bit different than Caslug, I also had a couple of foriegner friends who I think shared the same luck as me.

I did notice though, girls would look when I was with a girl, and quite obviously. Maybe because I was usually with an ultra hot girl or maybe they just wanted to get me in trouble. Never the less, walk through Chippe Chappe one day without a girl and another day with a girl and do the comparison yourself.

Colombia has such a vast cultural look that I myself often had problems guessing if someone was a foriegner or not, because of this the "Rock Star Effect" of girls giving you definate signs of interest are way down in Latin America compared to Asia.

That and Latin America has had alot more interactions with Foriegners and the word has spread more about hunters like ourselves. I have been doing research for my next 2 trips, which will be starting late March or April, and I think Thailand may be similar because of this, so I may hop over to the Philippines for some GFE action.

I will also be going to Costa Rica to meet up with "FREE SEX" the guy who helped me in Panama, to repay the favor. Also, I have actually been dreaming about a return trip to Nicaragua and the city of Managua so we will be taking the $10 dollar bus from San Jose to get there.

Although Nicas don't really hold a candle to Colombianas as far as beauty, I can't help to forget the awesome service and the quarter mile with 100 girls on the street. ALL easily had for $30 for the Night!

I am also missing Colombia, I wish I would have figured out that Newspaper Ad thing sooner, and I am planning to try it in Costa Rica and Nicaragua in March. "FREE SEX" is trying it in the D.R. as we speak, so we will have to see his results." I think it might go over better in other countries than Colombia because using a cell phone is SO expensive in Colombia, compared to places like Nicaragua or the D.R..

America sucks right now, I am feeling the ugly pain of reality every time I look at my new American girlfriend... :-(

Your right about other girls checking you out when you're with another girls. When i went to lunch at chipichape food court w/ my dates, We would get check out(curiousity) by lots other girls who were eating. As you mention, they don't EYEBALL you just walking down the street, both times that happend to me, i was in an internet cafe and speaking horrible spanish and asking if the cashier if they spoke any english. First & foremost, the ABSENCE of large numbers of "predators" (to use MM's term). Girls will smile at you, but on balance they are not as cute as Colom,bianas IMHO.

Prices are cheaper than Colombia too, BUT I found Managua WAY more dangerous than most Colombian cities. More issues with thievery by the girls than in Colombia too.

Also, Carretera Massaya, the street with all the streetwalkers, had a large number of travestis (TVs) . The Playboy Club (now closed I think) was great, but LIPS, Red Palace etc seemed like overpriced clip joints. There was another area just East of the airport (on direct road to Granada) where SWs congregated.

Except, that me and the US State Department find Managua to be more safe than even a laid back city like Cali. Although, I would recommend staying away from ultra poor neighborhoods and the mercado oriental, Nicaragua is still safer than Colombia.

Recently in Colombia:

Criminals sometimes use the drug "scopolamine" to incapacitate tourists in order to rob them.

This happened to a friend of mine in Cali and as they threw him out of the car, after they had his money, his shoe got stuck and severly hurt his ankle.

He will walk with a limp for the rest of his life.

Although, I still feel Cali is safe enough for the smart traveler.

I think we all can admit that Colombia ... Cali, Medellin, Cartagena etc ... has something special about it's atmosphere.

... listening to the Salsa music or the music which I love, de los Vallenatos ...
... relaxing and enjoying the hip-hugger cladded chicas strolling by ...
... the numerous PFP locations as well as the beautiful regular chicas

However, lets not kid ourselves ... it can be dangerous. If you're a seasoned explorer ... like Surfer or MM or like many others on this board ... you prob have developed a sixth sense about you that helps keep you away from this danger.

As far as street crime goes ... the difference between Cali or Managua is prob zero ... they both have mucho poverty and their share of "bad guys" willing to rob you of your "plata".
The bigger the city, like Bogota, Caracas, NYC ... more "bad guys".

As far as kidnapping, occassional bombing, etc ... we have to admit Colombia wins for danger ... I mean, would you rent a car and drive from Bogota to Cartagena? Definitely not.
When I lived in Guatemala, we drove all over C. America ... sure there was occassional problems but not life threatening.

I've had fun in Managua ... like MM said, that strip in Zona Rosa has some nice chicas and the price is cheap ... the (TVs) hang out on the far end of the road ... not along the main strip ... I was just there 2 weeks ago for a night.

However, the quality of chicas is not that of Colombia ... and the fun atmosphere ... IMHO ... is not even close to that of Colombia.

On that note ... I'm back to Venezuela tomorrow where the chicas are on even par with Colombianas and the fun meter is pegged.

PERCEPTIONS often being more important than reality when it comes to "danger" I suppose, I can only state MY PERSONAL FEELING of insecurity while in Managua. The countryside CERTAINLY is safer than in Colombia, and perhaps I have a false sense of security in Cali because I am so familiar with it. Also, I rented a 4X4 in Managua (to access the surfing beaches near Rivas) while I take taxis in Cali (and the taxistas KNOW the areas to avoid).
But i certainly defer to Ricker's opinion of relative safety, and Nica was experiencing a large series of Earthquakes when I wass there that added to the climate of fear (as a Californian I wasn't nervous, but the people wewre literally sleeping outside when I arrived because they feared their houses would collpase (this was Summer of 2000). .

I also feared shakedowns by police in Managua MUCH more than in Colombia. I got hit up TWICE while driving in Managua, once with reason once without. One incident (where they had a reason) was a humorous anecdote which I shall tell here.

I am VEHEMENTLY opposed to driving while intoxicated and would NEVER do so at home. But in Managua I had the 4X4 so I chose to drive with a friend to Playboy Club (where you were required to buy a bottle). So we leave at 3am and I am quite buzzed, but there is ZERO traffic on the street and our hotel was closeby and there was no way I was leaving the rig there overnight.

As anyone who has driven in Managua can tell you, road markings are virtually nonexistent and one way streets can suddenly become one way IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION with no warning. So I cruise through just such an intersection and all of a sudden find myself heading straight into a police truck heading the opposite direction. I hit the brakes and 3 heavily armed cops jump out with guns drawn with tension written all over their faces (like they expected a gunbattle with traqueros). As soon as they realize we are two gringos coming home from a night out, the tension in their faces is replaced with shit eating grins. These guys are SO friendly now. So they begin discussing the code section for going the wrong way into a one way street and begin arguing amonst themselves ("es siete ******", "no, es quince claro, no sabves nada . . . ."). They have a card listed sections and fines but cannot agree on which section applies. I give them $20 or so worth of Cordobas and all is forgiven. In fact, they tell me I can continue going the wrong way up the one way street until reaching my hotel, and they then provide us an escort back to the hotel. NEVER once mentioned a breathalyzer despite the fact I am SURE I smelled of Bacardi.

Hey LIP,

Finding someone you can trust is more valuable than getting the GFE from a chica. The second is assured with a little patience. The other is very hard.

Even the top people for apt in Cartagena have had their troubles. I have only one person I can trust, the rest of my experience has been consistently bad! Once they have the dough in their hands, forget it. Hiring someone to find you a 'good deal' will mean you get someone that will find you an apt for the price he thinks you can pay.

Best thing is to find a connect you can trust and ask him. If you want some apt in Cartagena, I can lead you to the right person. No commission for me (I don't need it quite frankly) and you can get a quality place for a good price. There are shit apt for less, but I don't recommend them. I pay around 40-60 bucks a night, but the 60 buck a night place is pimping sweet. I saw a few in the 50 range and there are a few tight one's there as well. I know some dude will jump in and rave about the 25$ place and they are usually shitholes as far as I'm concerned.

I'm getting a little burnt on the apts with their fucking security guards. I had an unusual problem this trip where I brought four friends with me over to the apt for a drink (not for a fuck, just for an hour until my friend showed up. These girls were well known as 'good', meaning no rip-off chicas). The guy stopped us and told us we couldn't go up. "One girl, one guy" was his rule. I tried explaining what was going on in Spanish but he was adamant. Total fucking bullshit when you see the Colombians rolling in with like 8 of their buddies, family members and who knows what in tow.

I had to get the lady who rented us the apt so we could go up. No one was acting rowdy, it was just this guy getting a bug up his ass. I can respect what they are doing if they are doing it consistently, or for a good reason (drunken asshole, etc). But I don't consider myself one of these and I expect to be treated with the same respect I give out. I am seriously thinking of looking at houses for rent for the future, and I will report what I find. You can get one with good security not too much more than apt. I have one in mind and will check it out next trip if things don't improve.

As far as touts, I try not to use them but probably would for Cali. I think the overall casa quality is so low I would rather get chicas to my door and just scope them.

I had a great two weeks in Cartagena recently. If you have any questions besides "Where can I meet that Medellin chica?" (answer: Medellin probably since I met her over six months ago at Playboy. She's no longer there dudes, sorry!!).

Sorry NPaul, no jealousy whatsoever. Should there be more technological awareness and resources in the hands of women that are "preyed", there would be an equivalent to wsg for women. I am sorry Ricker for watering down the compliment, I am positive you are intelligent and level headed. Although, I do remember pushing a few of your buttons a while back and you flying off the handle a bit. This is very similar to myself so I said it would be a close debate between us. TIP of the DAY:
In Cali there are many massage places that advertise in the paper or in the phone book. The prices are anywhere from 20k($8) to 30k($12) for one hour of a real, good, professional massage. I visited about 6 different places and they ranged greatly in the look of professionalism.

I´m wondering if something provoked this. Anyway, I made it to Cali fine and checked into Hotel Windsor which is near the discos on Sexta and close to Flora Frescas. It costs around 100 mil per night ($40). Be prepared when you check-in to some local Cali hotels, it´s often name-your-own-price. I started to high with 100 Mil based on the immediate OK I got from the receptionist.

I headed to Frescas soon after checking in. The quality of women was average for Frescas and the price had increased since I last visited. It´s 15 Mil to enter, 60 Mil for a half bottle of Rum and Coke, 180 Mil for an hour with a girl, and 30 Mil for the room. I didn´t notice them charging separately for the girl and room before, maybe I got screwed. That adds up to over $100, which is very expensive for Cali. I took a very petite one named Jennifer down to a room and she was great.

The next morning I was off to the bus terminal in Cali where I bought a ticket on Palmira Express to Pereira. Only 15 Mil ($6). It´s a 3 hour trip. This is a great way to visit other cities while you are in Colombia. In Pereira, I checked into Hotel Melia which is 200 Mil per night. Soon after, I decided to get my teeth whitened for only 250 Mil. The assistants at the dentist were hot. This is one trip to the dentist I enjoyed. Unfortunately, that was the hightlight of my trip to Pereira. I went to three clubs in the night, Flora Frescas (yes, in Pereira), Star Club, and La Barre Club. All had poor quality women and uninteresting/boring settings. I had heard women from Pereira were sexy and easy, but I did not experience this on my trip. I had planned to stay two nights, but cut the trip short to return to Cali for some fun.

Back to Cali for a few more nights visiting Frescas and trying the non-pros on Sexta. Nothing outstanding to report. It actually started to get a little boring. I think this visit was too long. Around 3 days per visit is enough for me in Cali.

How was the downtown bus terminals in cali or periera is fairly safe? Is 250 mil for teeth whitening the average price? I heard great story about periera too. I was in Cali for 10 days and was bored during the day, at night was OK because that's when you usually meetup w/ the non-pros.

I'm heading to Lima next weekend and i hear the peruvian chicas are even MORE friendly than chica in COL. That would be something!

As I stated many times, Cali (and most probably Pereira) are pretty boring places to be during puentes.

I took a day to go to Palmira last weekend. It's about 30 minutes from Cali, will cost you about 1200 pesos in bus (about 50 cents if the dollar doesn't drop another 20% this week), and you'll get a new playground to play in.

Once in Palmira, go to the 42nd. It's busy at night (don't go there during the day, nothing happens there). There is another Flores Frescas there. Although it is the same name, it's a different concept. Girls were extremely pretty, and there was a lot of them. But they were also cold and didn't make it easy for you to break the ice. There are 3 bars on the 42nd with girls (Flores Frescas, the next building on it's left - don't remeber the name, and Champagne).

Overall, a pretty good trip that I'd suggest to everyone. The only downside is that the last bus coming back from Palmira to Cali is around 9:30. Should you miss it, you're up to paying a 25,000 pesos taxi.

1. Hotel Don Jaime is now INSISTENT on charging 27,000 for overnight guests. I am a regular there and know the staff but despite my pleas and protests, they CLAIM new management insusts due to a directive from the Government of Valle. I am suspicious of this claim and will call me other main hotel in Cali to verify, but adding that 27K makes the price difference betwen HDJ and my other place small enough (they give me a tariffa cooperativa)that I would stay at the other which is solid 4 star +.

2. Met Wolfybaby who is a great guy. Hope to see you again before too long.

3. They now have an Xray machine at Cali airport. Some may recall a scandal last year when people were forced to pay big $$ to a hospital for stomachj Xrays then gave kickbacks to the cops. I am a White, clean cut affluent looking guy and both myself and another guy who also did not meet the profile got stomach Xrays, PERHAPS because we wwere last people to clear immigration. They asked me why I showed up 1 hour before the departure, rather than suggested 3 houirs, and I said because I was sleeping at 5.30 in the morning (didn't admit that I also wanted a final quickie with my accompante). So MAYBE it was that, but ALL passengers got frisked upon arrival in Medellin too (another first for me) and they had dogs running over the suitcases as they came on conveyor. Looks like increase in drug surveilance.

Surfer, thanks for the tip, but those are the days that my work is shut down. I do have the flights reserved, so that is not a problem. One to Cali, the other to Bogota, and I have about a week to decide which one I want to take.

Actually, these were the only two monger destinations in the WORLD that had flights available for my frequent flyer miles! So, ready or not, here I come.

There are no flights available to me later than the 25th, so if I have to be a regular tourist for four days, I will just have to monger harder after that.

I do not have a room yet, and sent off some feelers today. Also wrote a number of non-pro Columbianas, and have two nibbles already, so maybe I can use them to fill in the breach.

Still looking for helpful tips from you guys.

Hi guys. Here's a quick message to tell you why you should never move to Cali permanently.

I've lived here for 2 years now! I now have 2 horses, about 5 girlfriends, a wife and 2 kids. A couple of years ago, things were way simpler.

Bottom line is the following. There are way too many temptations down here! It's just unbelievable how life is different in a latin country than in a so-called western civilized country.

I am 36 years old, and it appears that I am going through my mid-life crisis. I've been married with a Calena for 8 years now. Although I strongly believe that she's awesome, with 2 kids, her body is not what it was and there are plenty of beautiful girls around me to remind me that. Also, since we've lived in the US for 3/4 of our relationship, she got some character defects that were accumulated there (thinking that she owes me, thinking that she can corner me into marriage because of fear of divorce). For some time, I've been releasing some pressure in casas, but lately got involved a bit deeper with some girls that I had to warn my wife about that. She know that I went in casas and got to accept that fact (although it was a difficult thing for her at first). But now, emotions are involved, that's once again a different thing. So, I told her a couple of weeks ago about it. Dear, I am meeting other people and am getting emotionaly attached to them. There was an obvious shock on her end and her answer was basically that I am with her or without her (divorce). But, after time passed by, and that she looked at her alternatives, she's putting some water in her wind glass. She's 30, not bad looking, but not a bomb shell either, has 2 kids, no jobs, a good life with about 4 million pesos monthly (minimal wage here is about 360,000 pesos), has a car, a house and a good little settled life. although I would never throw her into poverty, there would obviously be some effect to our divorce.

So, here is where we get to Colombia. The system is so screwed up here that she really doesn't have any protection whatsoever. She is then forced to be reasonable in everything that happens. In her case, that means considering losing all that just for the fact that she can't accept that a guy is actually a guy. Once she considered stuffed carefully, it all becomes clear in her mind. Conclusion: she communicated to me that I can do what I want during the day (meeting people, dancing, relationships, etc), as long as I come back to sleep at night with her she'll accept it - no questions asked. During which time, she'll try to reinsert some of that long gone magic in our couple so that I do not need any other outside relationship.

Once again a screwed up system helps people becoming better. How great is that for the system to actually encourage people to work together on issues instead of looking for quick fixes? In the US, I would have been long divorced. Now, instead of that, I have a wife that understands better what is it to be with a man, but really for better or for worst.

Last Friday I went out with Edith. She's a 25 year old accounting student with the best body and face I've seen in here. We went out for a drink and then concluded our night at the hotel. Wow! How lucky am I? Then, on Saturday, I met a girl at my office that is a bomb-shelve. She is plain hot. 2 kids, has an 8 day old divorce to digest. So I asked her out for Saturday night. We went out dancing (people who know me know that I need much to get on a dance floor). She moves so sensually, that I was melting in front of her. It was way too much! Started kissing on the dance floor during the Meringue, it was all out of this world. We then concluded our relationship at the same hotel.

Meeting people is so easy here that a wife doesn't have much chance. Women also do not respect much the fact that a guy is married. everything is up for grab here. As a matter of fact, even women do it. If they're married, they always look for an upgrade. So, everyone is always pretty much on the market here.

So, in conclusion, unless you're looking for a whole lot of adventure while exploring true human nature, and not the rule of law, do not come here! If you're married, have kids, and love them to death (as I do), do not move here. There are just too many temptations and a normally consituted being just can't handle so many temptations.

The world is definitely a different place in Colombia, Venezuela, etc.
Women that wouldn't even look at you in the "west", not only look at you, but desire you in S.America.
Especially, like you say, when you develop feelings instead of just the physical attraction.

I have a hard enough time just staying put with a girlfriend ... to get married, MAYBE a long time from now. Actually I've been married and have 2 GREAT kids from when I was too young ... the Ex is cool, friends now, and the kids too.

Bottom line is ... like a lot of my Venezuelan amigos tell me ... it's great to be enamorado (like the initial love), but to have a deep relationship ... don't know if I'm capable with so many possibilities in S.America.

As soon as I get over my funk of being back in the real world, I'll try to put together some sort of report, but what could I say that hasn't been already discussed in detail here? Anyone wishing info on hotels or casas merely has to devote a couple of hours to scrolling back a couple of dozen pages or so. Sure, Colombia lost more soldiers (47) to the guerilla in the month I was down there, than we lost in the same time period in Iraq. And not only have new offensives been announced against the cities, but the drug lords are starting to get annoyed again at the latest wave of captures and extraditions. Not to mention the ever growing crime rate. No reason not to come on down. What I do wish to express is my gratitude for having made new friends who are legitimately good people, whom I look foward to knowing better in the coming years. Thanks to AntiFreeze, Surfer, the wild man from down under, Aussie Greg, Salsero Loco, as well as MDE Bob , Richard and Tom, for making my last trip memorable.

2nd time to colombia had a great time.

Hot chicks everywhere! I stayed near parque Caicedo downtown.

2 caveats:

1. I speak spanish fluently
2. I have family there (guide)

Colombia is a very dangerous country-if some white dude reading this thinks he's going to go down there and score not knowing anyone and not speaking spanish, he is a fool and may likely end up in serious trouble-you are definately NOT in Kansas anymore.

On the money front-flores frescas sucks why travel down there to pay anywhere near US prices?- we went to clean well run casas that trotted out 8-10 hot girls that charged 40000 pesos ($17) for a half hour 70000 ($32) for a full hour. also got a lesbo show dildo and all and screw both chicks for 100000 ($45). These places were mid range-upscale and considered expensive by locals, flores frescas is overated and WAAAAAAY overpriced.

To weigh in on which women are better looking Medellin or Cali- Cali had many more darker women and many more black women than Med. I myself prefer lighter skin women so I would have to vote for Med(although it has been a long time since I've been there).

That place is more beautiful than any city I've seen in Europe (though I have not been to Paris) and it is SO safe. You can walk around anywhere at any hour (they only go out after 11pm or so and stay opn until 4am +). Colombia is now until 2am (used to be 1 when La Ley Zanahoria was still being enforced), but you just can't relax like you can in BA because of the omnipresent threat of crime or violence. No city in Colombia even comes close. Poblado, Medellin's toniest area, is a dangerous dump compared to Recoleta. Ditto Cartagena's Laguito and Bogota's Zona Rosa.

I was also surprised that most everybody speaks English (UNLIKE Colombia). Prices for chicas are not that much different than Colombia with CURRENT exchange rates (3 Argentine Pesos for a dollar compared to 2300 Colombian Pesos). 100 Pesos is kind of the standard rate for an hour (I never ask about the 30 minute rate because I just ain't a 30 minute kind of guy, like Antifreeze Wink wink.) BBBJ is more easily available than Colombia (it is a less conservative country), though some girls will hit you up for $10 extra for this.
By paying a bit extra, I got more than half of them to allow tonsil shots. Try THAT in Colombia! Most LOVE DATY, and the pocket rocket was a smash hit ("regalado me" was a common phrase I heard).

One thing that I do NOT really like is that more than 50% are lightskinned blondes. VERY few have the dark, exotic, skin, hair and eyes so common in Cali and Cartagena. NO mulatta's at all. There were girls from Brazil and Paraguay working, bit no Colombianas at all (they cannot get visas). Many of the girls in BA have worked in Spain and Mexico as visas are easy for Argentines.

Jackson and his partner, Captain Dave (a great guy whom I met), have Sunday pool partries at The Mansion, a mansion where they rent out rooms to WSG members with lots of chicas in attendance. I met a pair of a HOT pair of identical twins who do threesomes but, alas, they were blonde. The house guests (2) had reserved them but they returned to the mansion late. They were about to lose their girls as one yanked me in the laundry room and started the BBBJ (we were drinking wine) before the houseguests arrived. Nice freebie. But I digress.

Saludos to the Colombiana board. I am looking for your opinions about where to go for a trip - March 12-20. I am thinking of Panama, Guatemala or Cali. I have been to Cartegena in 2001 and found the women hot but I did not find a good bar scene or the gorgeous ones from Cali. (Maybe LDV is new?) I have met women from Cali all over L.A. and they seem to be the sexiest smartest women alive and would love to go.

But... I am pretty intimidated by the possiblity of kidnapping in Cali. I am pretty savvy about crime though. Can I get away with going to Panama City to meet Colombianas? Are there other alternatives that might be good like Guate or Managua? I have been to Caracas and San Jose and did NOT like the scene in either place. Havana was great but I was there 5 times and think the Calenas are more attractive.

I am in the same dilemma. I'll be in Ecuador in June and would like to go to either Colombia (Medellin) or Argentina. Can't seem to make up my mind. From what I read in the Panama thread, the prices there a high (like San Jose, where I visited last June) although there are plenty of Colombians in Panama. Also see the post by Surfer below comparing Colombia and Buenos Aires. Just when I think I have made a decision - someone posts something that brings me right back to square one! From reading posts on Bs As, the prices seem to be going up for the FLs in clubs, but boliches still are cheaper. Of course, I could stay in Quito for the duration because the prices there are cheap compared to either Colombia or Argentina; but the choices are limited as is quality.

Can experienced mongers give some advice please?

Surf gla you made it down to BA. It is an incredible city and really blows away anything you will find in Colombia as far as a city goes. Anytime I read on PL or some other boards where someone says that Medellin is the nicest city in SA I know right away that they dont have a clue what they are talking about. Medellin might be the nicest city in Colombia, but compared to BA its like a Detroit crack house and thats no joke.

It’s difficult for me to recommend any specific place for two reasons.

Firstly, I was taken to the places by local friends and I can’t remember now which was which. Moreover, I didn’t always sample the merchandise present. We often just went in, had a beer and left again because there are so many casas in Cali that you always expected to find something better at the next place. There was never any pressure from the owners to go with a girl.

Secondly, the number of girls present at a particular time varies a lot. All the girls I’ve been with told me they only worked part-time to make an extra buck. They claimed to be students and needed the money to pay for their studies or housewives.

I only went to casas during the first few days of my stay. I’m a near-native speaker of Spanish and when my friends and I hit the viejotecas and Juanchito in the weekend it was easy to pick up more non-pro girls than we could handle. This is the best way to find chicas in Cali if you speak Spanish.

One more thing, if you go to a casa and find a girl that is to your likening take her phone number and let her come to your hotel. This is more favourable for you and the girl. Don’t overpay! The most I paid at a casa was 60,000 pesos.

Be careful. In spite of what some mongers at this site claim, Cali is NOT a safe place.

I can attest to Pete's apt. in Cali. I rented there and he is fantastic guy and the place charms everyone entering. It is large, with private rooms with baths and he serves a standard US breakfast. He's tolerant of me and my buddy dragging in our ladies of the street and casas.

The Flores Frescas casa is a trip at least for the show, it's worth two trips at least just for that. The women are pretty, but expensive by local standards. I went with one for an hour and had a great experience.

A better casa for more reasonable prices in lo Maximo. at Av. 5B No. 24N-78 tele. 661-4913. Prices are 30k for 1/2 hr. 50k 1 hr. and the girls are very pretty. It is open day and night like most casas. I hesitate to post this info. because I fell for one of the chicas there, stupid me. Anyway it's great.

I met an english speaking guy MIke on the street, who hooked us up with a couple of pros that were fun and we had them several times in the 10 days. Mary and Alejandra, both great bodies, silicone and all. Mike usually sells flowers going from bar to bar, tall and thin.

In Peru pro´s would give me a huge attitude when I would even suggest filming them and most night clubs will ask you to leave your camera at the front desk after they searched you.

Non-pro´s in Peru were pretty cool about it. Even if they don´t like it a little smiling and saying something like that you want to remember them on your lonely hours back home will give you the ok.

In Colombia I never discussed filming up front with pro´s. I just pulled out my camera and started making pictures and video´s. If they stop, I just say "por favor, mi amor" and smile and even suggest that I will not capture their face. I do get their faces too though. Not a problem.

I didn´t really try filming non-pro´s in Colombia.

Travel for the purpose of having sex with someone under 18, if you are a US citizen, is illegal. Nude photos of someone under 18 cannot be brought into the US. Very graphic hard-core photos may also present a problem. Tasteful nude photos are no problem.

My question is how would they ever find a small card in your wallet? In my years of travelling to many different countries, my wallet has never, not even once been looked in.

Also, is that the exact wording of the law 'for the purpose of sex with someone under 18' - if so, what if it's not the 'purpose', but happens anyway?? You know 'I swear judge the purpose was business, the girl was a bonus!'

And, this doesn't make alot of sense to me anyway, not saying that it's not true though because many US laws make little to no sense to me.

The age of consent in different states varies greatly, many if not most are actually under 18 (16 or 17). So what about that? Is the 'federal' law 18? If so what's the precident for that?

Doesn't matter a whole lot to me though, for one I stick to 18+, and my videos are tucked away neetly in my wallet.

That is the exact wording. As you correctly point out, some States have ages under 18. The Feds cannot make it illegal to have sex with someone under 18 when State law says different. They can and do, however, make it illegal to cross State or National borders "for the purpose of." Thus if you cross from one 16 State to another 16 State for the express purpose of having sex with a 17 YO, you have violated Federal law. If you cross said State line to buy a car and happen to have sex with the 17 YO office girl, you have violated no law as long as 17 is legal in the State where the event took place.

Essentially the Feds are targeting, among others, tour operators who would organise trips to have sex with under 18's.

Children affected by fighting in Colombia

TORIBIO, Colombia - Thousands of children in southwest Colombia began a third week without school Monday amid the most intense fighting between government forces and leftist insurgents in years, including an attack that killed one student.

With classes suspended, hundreds of fearful civilians have sought shelter in the Cecidic school in Toribio, the main school in this part of the Andes with about 7,000 students. With dormitories for teachers and students who live far away, it serves a rugged region inhabited mostly by Indians who want no part in the conflict.

The fighting erupted on April 14 when the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, bombarded Toribio, 250 miles southwest of Bogota, killing Yorfan Armando Trochez, a 9-year-old at Cecidic. His classmates say school won't be the same without him.

"I'll be sad because Yorfan sat right next to me in class," said second-grader Dania Vanessa Isaza, her large, brown eyes welling with tears. "He would always lend me a pencil or give me a piece of candy."

Reinaldo Opocue, the school's headmaster, tried to reopen classes a few days later. But the clashes persisted, often encroaching on the school. Government reinforcements arrived by helicopter as an armored column unsuccessfully tried to reach the town by punching through rebel lines.

"We were unable to teach math while gunshots whizzed by," Opocue said. "And it wasn't difficult just for the students. The teachers were terrified as well."

The fighting has now spread along at least a 14-mile front, and every day, gunfire and explosions echo throughout the jungle-covered mountains. Homes, vehicles and even horses have been outfitted with white flags in hopes the warring sides will not shoot at them.

On Sunday Colombia's top military leaders toured the region and reported progress in regaining control of the area. But FARC said it was holding its ground. It is the first time in years that the FARC has fought pitched battles against government forces instead of simply carrying out hit-and-run attacks.

Instead of math, the children are learning about warfare. While 12-year-old Dina Lizet was speaking to a reporter in Toribio, a large explosion was heard.

Asked whether it was a mortar round, Dina responded matter-of-factly: "No, that was a gas cylinder bomb. A mortar round does not have as loud of a thud sound."

The fighting on the western face of the Central Cordillera of the Andes Mountains represents the rebels' boldest challenge since President Alvaro Uribe was elected three years ago on pledges he would crush the 40-year-old insurgency.

The FARC has long had a presence in the region, where Nasa Indians made up 98 percent of the population.

Markos Yule, regional education director, said FARC rebels have tried to enroll their own children in local schools, but the tribe - not wanting to associate with a warring faction - has kept them out.

The Indians used to reject schools because students were forced to speak Spanish rather than the indigenous language. Children were whipped for uttering even a word of the Nasa language.

But then a push was made to integrate the indigenous language, said Yule, wearing a traditional brown and beige vest called a kapisayo. Attendance jumped from 900 students in 1990 to 6,900 today.

Half the Indian students are now studying the native language, but it is still slowly passing out of use, Yule said. The students, who wear T-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes, say they prefer to speak Spanish and only take the language classes because their parents told them to.

The rebels said their assault on Toribio was a message to the government that they will not accept the presence of police or military forces in town centers. Two years ago, a large police bunker was built near Toribio's main square.

Colombia's army chief, Gen. Reinaldo Castellanos, who toured the zone with Ospina on Sunday, vowed to restore state authority. "We are ready ... to flush them (the FARC) out of here," he said.

Since the start of the rebel offensive, the military has reported a total of five soldiers and three police officers killed. The rebels have denied any deaths in their ranks.

The FARC, created with the aim of overthrowing the government and bringing greater justice and opportunity to the poor, has instead been widely condemned because of its involvement in the drug trade and extortion rackets, and its reliance on frequent kidnappings.

More than 3,000 people are killed each year in the conflict.

Just before we went to Medellin last week, my girl was in a bad mood. She only explained to me later exactly why.

It ended-up that her sister, which is the only family member that still lives on their land near guerilla infested Popayan's coutryside since their father and brother were executed by the guerilla, was really close to mortar rounds hitting the ground. On the spot, my girl sent her money so she can get the Hell out of there. My girl only got a smile back when she was able to talk to her sister safe in Cali. Her sister is now back on the finca, and says that everything is back to normal (I don't know if that is actually good news or bad news that everything is back to normal).

If enacted, a Federal standard would superceed a State standard. However, there could be a constitutional challenge based on States' rights. I'm not very good at predicting the future (Hell, I have enough trouble trying to figure out where to go to dinner), but I don't think that the Feds would ever be anxious to abrogate the right of Mississippi to determine when its daughters are old enough to consent to having sex.

this law has been on the books for exactly 2 years (apr. 30, 2003) it’s the usa protect act (not to be confused with the usa patriot act).

if you click (or copy/paste) the link below you'll get an idea of the types of cases they are prosecuting. mostly homosexual ****s, although they did get one guy in mexico for having sex with girls 10 - 14.

as far as i know, they aren't looking at guys have sex with 17 (or 16 or 15) year-old girls, even though they could under this act, and even though those ages are within local consent statutes.

I looked at the link. It says in part, "to arrest and prosecute travelers who intend to go to another country to engage in sexual activity with children." This makes it illegal to go to another country for ther purpose of engaging in sex with a minor. Read this carefully, the sex act itself is not illegal. As I read the release, this law DOES NOT make it illegal to have sex with a minor. Nor is it possible, to the best of my knowledge, to enforce US laws extraterritorially.

I’m no expert, but to me what ity comes down to is the government’s definition of what a child is. I’ve seen it stated as 17 years old, but haven’t read about anyone arrested for that.

On March 19, 2004, Clark pleaded guilty to engaging in and attempting to engage in illicit sexual conduct with minors in foreign places. The U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, denied his attorney’s constitutional appeal of the child sex tourism provisions of the Protect Act. On June 25, 2004, Clark was sentenced to 97 months in jail.

The actual law itself is what I was looking for. I'm going to take some time to read it now.

I don't initially see any constitutional problems with the law. If it can be proven that someone went to another country for the purpose of sex with persons under the age of 18, that someone is fucked. And they should be.

My concern is with the guy who goes to Lower Slobbovia for a vacation and maybe a little sex with over 18 girls. If the guy fucks up and does a girl aged 17 years and 364 days, can he be prosecuted under this law? I think that the answer is no.

Had good/bad luck with USPS 6 weeks ago. That is to say I mailed a package to Cali ($12 and change) but it took 6 weeks for it to arrive at the chica's house.

From what I have read elsewhere, USPS delivers to a US gateway and they contract the last leg out plus local delivery. Have read some horror stories on another site regarding using USPS though.

That being said, FedEx/UPS are unbelievably expensive $55-60 for the same package.

I tried calling the Servitrenga office in Miami but no luck.

I have been contacted by individuals wanting to know where to go in Cali with all the usual questions a guy has before he takes a trip, especially the first time.
I recommend that one research these pages for as far back as 6 months to get a feel of what others have done and posted. Ask specific questions on this page and many will help with specifics.

For me the Cali things has been quite nice. I am mixing business, medical treatment and women in every trip.

I have met a guy to rents rooms in his nice apt. for $35/night, it's a nice place with usually nice guys renting the other rooms.

I've never stayed in a hotel in Cali so I don't have any point of reference as to hotels/cost/chica friendly or not.

The night life is very good here both for hookers and generally having a good time. It's like a party atmosphere, especially on the weekends.

Girls are everywhere.

I have done the casa thing, and even been tempted to pick up some street girls, some are hot. I did that in Cartagena but haven't in Cali, maybe I should. I also, try to meet girls on the internet before I come here and then call them and check them out. I haven't scored big with that approch as yet. Also, everyone I meet here I ask if they have friends looking for a gringo and that has yet to pan out, but I'm giving that some time, too.

There is most any kind of intertainment here, from sport bars, girl bars, dance clubs with every kind of music from salsa to trance & techno, etc. very hip and modern scene.

The north side of town is where most of the clubs are located, many on Ave. Sesta.

Anyway that is all I can manage to write at this point.

I was getting drunk yesterday at Chipi Chape when a chick from amigos.com called me. I boned her last week on our first date. But apart from killer natural titties she isn´t that cute so I never went out with her again.

Anyway as I´m drunk I say ok let´s go out. So we meet up and she wants to present me to her auntie. In fact I think she wanted to go there to pick something up or drop something off.
After that we walk 3 blocks to the main road to get a taxi. When we´re waiting for the taxi two guys walk by and turn back and get really close. Everything went so quick I only remember that one sec I had my camera the next moment I didn´t.

My girl told me that they came up and took my camera (Canon Powershot SD300 $400 with memory card) out of my hand and started touching my pockets. Which tells me that I was pretty pissed drunk because I remember that my camera was in my pocket and all of a sudden it was gone.

Good thing is for some odd reason I told my girl to carry my cell and 300k pesos on her. And as the guys didn´t even look at her, they didn´t steal that.

Everytime I feel like getting pissed drunk it ends up being expensive.
