Tony is for the lazy.
I've said it many times Tony is for those who just go to Playa Hollywood and want to sit on their ass and have everything handed to them with zero effort. It doesn't matter if they are paying double or triple, they want to do the bare minimum but expect the top level everything. Its the same type of behavior that happened at Kings in Sosua or where they would sit at Playa Sosua under all the green Presendite umbrellas are and just want to point at chicas and have them come to them. Just as I learned the hard way about sitting under those green umbrellas with the owner putting the drinks chicas ordered on our bill without our knowledge is the same with Tony upcharging on the price for drinks at Playa Hollywood.
I don't get what so hard in going to look for a girl yourself when they are all around.
I've never used Tony, Jose or his son Allejandro chica services. ITs bad enough they constantly ask for a tip via buying them a drink and I never see them drinking it then when the bills comes its just numbers written on a napkin with no breakdown of what was ordered, thank goodness a chica put me on to when ever we ordered something to put a note in our phone so when the bill comes we know the exact number.
Tonys cash crop is probably cocaine not chicas. I found the girls on the beech to be hardcore and would avoid them.

Of all the cities I used seeking.com/ SA, the one population wise I probably had the worst success in was Cartagena. For that reason, initially, I kind of ignored it, but I had been dating a woman that I met from the site for almost a year now. She was a government contractor and still being given Covid pay but that ended this month. She was in tears telling me that she had a new job but in a city without an airport 2 hours north of Bogota and was not going to be able to see me much anymore. I asked what the salary was as I wondered if I could cover it and braced to be high balled, and she told me her job was going to pay her $500 a month. I almost laughed when she told me that. That small amount was a relief.
I had been flying between Colombia and the USA to meet her or flying us both to Mexico for a while. We would meet every 2 weeks and the airfares and hotel costs were adding up. If I supported her, I could choose any city in Colombia to put her up in. It took me about 2 seconds to pick Cartagena. I am not sure if it is the sea air, beach, or lack of altitude, but I feel great there, tons better than Bogota.
So this was the month of the move, and we got in and scheduled a time to start to go see apartments. The first one was on Bocagrande, but it did not face the beach. We specified 3 bedroom so maybe there was an apartment available facing the sea. I don't know. Then I asked the price. Keep in mind that I had been seeing condos here priced at $200 k and had been paying $100 a night (or $3000 on a monthly basis). So she tells me the price, and I do the calculation and it is $450 a month. I was just stunned at how cheap it was.
We then drove in the direction of the airport. There was a nice apartment on the 2nd floor with a swimming pool and gym. $550 per month.
Then there was a high rise where the view of the airport was practically like it was in your backyard. I really liked that place. $650 per month.
Finally, we went to the island of Manga. There was one apartment on a high floor with stunning views. The complex had a workout area and three pools, and the apartment for some reason had four toilets. The tenants were happy with the complex and bragged about how nice it was. I knew that was the right place, and we both loved it. It was $700 a month.
So now came the time to sign the lease. The real estate agent was very busy, and I had to actually postpone my flight (it was free as American overbooked the flight to Miami) and met her to sign the papers the next day. My gal was jobless now and so we had to sign the lease together. The agent had never rented to an American before and we had to set up an escrow account and I had to put $5000 in it. I plan on being there hopefully 7 to 10 days per month.
The only reason I am mentioning the $ amount is so people know how much it costs if they are interested in looking into it not to get anyone's approval. I am sure the centro rats, guys fucking bare, and those snorting mountains of cocaine, are going to tell me what a risk this is. LOL. Please do not make me regret being honest. I could have said, "All they wanted was a one month deposit."
For transportation, we rented a scooter for an hour and I am looking to buy one for my gal soon. There is a place, near the great Persian restaurant Persepolis, that rents them. It was pretty cheap like $25 an hour and it is amazing how quickly in the scooter world things have changed from gas to electric. I am not sure what fuel will be easier for my gal to get but I hope we can go the electric route.
I set her up on the soft dirt of the beach, and she took 30 minutes on her own riding. We then went to the road, and she handled herself well there too. She was actually excited to have a scooter, and I think Cartagena is a great city to have a scooter in. We went everywhere on that thing with no issues.
I was actually looking into cities in Mexico where we could meet and so I am happy to get more of a home we can meet in that we can set up like we want. Thing is that I do not mind the flight to Cartagena given how it is broken up (two 2 and a half hour flights) and that the Miami airport is so smooth. I got through Customs there with Global Entry in less than a minute.
It has been surprising to me to see how many people monger in Cartagena given the better and cheaper options in Medellin and Bogota. I suspect it is because the people like the city and just deal with the prices. The problem with Cartagena long term was the prices. The hotels I liked were $100 to $150 a night versus $40 to $60 a night elsewhere, and the Airbnbs ran around $100 a night as well. Having an apartment is like getting better than Airbnb or the hotels for $25 to $30 a night, maybe $35 if you include all expenses.
These prices to me make Cartagena a very interesting place to retire or in my case to settle down in, and I suspect others will follow.

I think using an "agent" like Tony has some advantages. First he bring the chicas to you so you don't have to waste time and effort shopping around. Second, presumably he has weeded out the thieves and poor performers because they are bad for his repeat business. Yes he makes some money on the deal but if he only is bringing vetted chicas to you its worth it and its not a lot of extra money. I have never used Tony but have used guys in Mexico, CTG and Cuba and they always brought me good girls. Comments?I've gotten some gorgeous chicas with great performance from him over the years. It's one of those things. There are going to be some who think he's great and some who think he's terrible. And they're both right, at least from their viewpoint.Its the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" effect. Not really much of a report. But I went to playa Hollywood again recently. Before I got a chance to use Tony the same tout as before saw me and snatched me up.
I ended up meeting the same 23 year old Venezuelan as before on my own. She saw me from a distance and approached me after I declined the tout's first girl. Sexy fun girl no tattoos looks like a young Kardashian. Ideally I want new girls every time though as am already dating someone but the girl does have something nice about her.
Constant pressure from the tout though to buy this and that the entire time and forcefully following us back off the beach to help get us a taxi kind of kill joyed the overall beach experience. As usual. Maybe his purpose was to figure out where I live? I dunno. Extremely annoying and overkill though.
Quite frankly the presence of these touts ruins the entire experience of Cartagena in general. Especially the longer you stay here I especially just love all the forced fistbumps and high fives followed by looks of utter contempt and rage on their faces as soon as you turn your head or act like you aren't looking for one second.
Also. Right after I had first sat down in my beach chair. A strange random looking guy on the beach. Looked like a Venezuelan refugee of some sort walked by me and gave me a throat slashing gesture before this at one point as I was sitting in my chair as if to threaten me. Not sure if was completely random or by design. Everyone knows me on Bocagrande beach now something that I do not like at all but I am a big beach person so hey.
Guys if you go to playa Hollywood the conclusion I have reached is you can have a much more pleasant time by skipping the touts altogether. Just look for groups of girls in skimpy bikinis and go talk to them yourselves. Invite them to go swimming then taxi them straight home.
Easy peasy IMO. Have just reached my limit on the amount of BS that one must tolerate when dealing with these shady characters. Will be the last time I use any of their "services. "

I would NEVER pay more than 200k for 1 hour (1 pop) and 300k only for the hottest found in a club, all dressed up sexy, including some nice time in the club. Girls from the beach should be 150k-200k.
Even understanding that the flow of post-covid gringos has caused major inflation in Cartagena, budgeting for 300k as base price for a girl from the beach is insane and will only lead this place to a place where to not go anymore, if not for the architecture and nice restaurants.
Just my 2 bucks!

You should be paying no more than 200 k for 2 hours IMO.New guys will pay 300 k. Experienced hobbyists will pay 150 k-200 k.

We have a drink her 2-3 friends join us I get the phone numbers they have a beer and leave than me and the hot girl get ready to leave I pay Tony give him a little tip he gets me a cab and offered to pay for it but he knows my apartment is only a 3-4 min walk but he knows I will be back the next day. All in all I have no issues with Tony because I feel we know each other and I must give it to him because he has came up with some down right pretty ass sexy chica, I make the price I ' pay which is between me and the chica never him but he do know I'm going to try to get everything BBJ, Raw fuck and some ass and pay around 250 to 350 Kor maybe more. Coming back in January. My second trip. The first one was last year and it was fucking amazing. I am an older man so I like things easy. Never found a hottie on the beach but the Clock Tower and the triangle of pussy clubs served up some great pussy with no problems. My question is should I give Tony a try just for the experience. Can he really deliver a ten that will do anything. What do I tip him. Last year I stayed at a hotel on the beach for a couple of days and they rented the space on the beach. There are plenty of other places to go.At night, as soon as I enter Centro at night the asking prices skyrocket. But the same exact chica will be seen at Playa Hollywood and it will only be 200 K max pro una palvo. This is why I usually get them during the day, try them out and if I like them call them back for the night at 400 dos palvos minimum. But sometimes, just sometimes I something new and shiny at night, something I never seen and it looks like it can be a good fuck. Then comes the internal fighting of do I want something new or just go with something old, eventually new and shiny wins and time to haggle jajaja.
If I loose the negotiations at night I take something old and in the morning I bring them right back to the negotiating table and they don't even haggle its the price I say.
This is just my experience of day Vs night outcomes, but I could be hella wrong as I've only been doing CTG for 5 years.

I gave up and was already outside the disco, took another chica which was bad (her phone kept going off and she kept going to answer it, then she couldn't do doggie style because of pain and just wanted to do 1 position, on her back SMH.) I left before cops cleared the area. Its too exhausting to be negotiating at 2 am, it kills the mood and just brings frustration. Normally I would have been gone by midnight but the person I was with was being too damn picky with every girl inside and outside the club. But the following day she came around for 200 K no issue had a great session that cleared all the frustration she gave me that night, and the frustration I got from the chica I decided to take. She saw the pool after we finished and wanted to hang out and jump in it, told her tomorrow and showed her the door.

I spent a Night There, visited a few clubs and la Torre:
Forgot the name of that one but there is a swimming pool in the middle. Girls were looking good, mostly friendly. Prices are around 350 k pesos, you could probably bargain.
Pleyboy, same beautiful line up with prices around 300 k.
There is another one a few dozens of meters from pleyboy, girls are physically less stunning (claimed 200 k pesos but probably not a so firm price) but very nice, friendly and some are more than willing to have a good time dancing, drinking and more. (Just have to enjoy your time, buy the drinks or the time in the room).
I have been taken to a club named nexus, seem a normal discoteca. There was a cover and plenty people in.
All this was on a Monday.
Girls at la Torre, I would say between around 20, possibly a bit more.

Imagine being told you can only those on the initial reservation are allowed, or you are only allowed 1 visitor per day, or no visitors after 10 pm. If you think paying $50 a night for an Airbnb is good, then think again of the conditions.

Its like trying to stop pigeons from getting at bird food. Avoid Playa Hollywood if you can but if you want to go just for the experience and a good story to tell then by all means have at it.

Most people say that skin / hair / eye color is not enough to pass for not being a gringo, they can tell my a lot more than that including your overall demeanor.
When I go to look for chicas at the beach, I do not go to "hang out" at the beach, I go to scout for chicas and do it while staying on the move. I do not sit down I do not not speak to any touts of any type. I come in from the El Laguito side of the beach (this is the side that faces more to the west, looking over at island Tierre Bomba) then I make my way around to the beach area that is facing more north, aka Playa Hollywood (on google maps ther is a marker at that far end called "Playa Las Velas" but I have always heard that whole area called Playa Hollywood) Then I start at the in front of the front row that is closest to the ocean and I make way down the row of people sitting on the beach and keep my eyes open looking for chicas sitting with other chica (s) or sitting alone. If these chicas make eye contact then I smile, if they smile back at me. The overweight old man gringo. Then I know they are probably working and unless I want to keep looking for something better I will wave them over to me and ask them "estás trabajando?" then if she says yes I start negotiating. Other wise I walk between the next rows and keep looking.
This is not a guarantee to keep all the pests away from you but I just literally shut out anyone who is not a hot chica, I do not make eye contact, not even a "No gracias". Been seeing lots of new stories of drugging and muggings coming out of Medellin lately. That got me wondering. How safe actually is Cartagena?
It feels way safer than Mexico for example to me yet maybe not quite as safe as Santo Domingo DR.
I never really leave Bocagrande or centro areas though. I did taxi to baru island to see the bird sanctuary a few days ago though. Loved it. Was very high which made the ride through the sticks more tolerable.

Lyrica pregrabalin. That one will really fuck you up if you have no tolerance. Anything over 1200 MG will make you drunk and very euphoric. Maybe start lower if you never did before try 650 MG first. Then gradually add. Its an amazing combo with even some low grade bud. It amplifies alcohol big time as well. And you can get its little brother gapapentin. Lyrica much funner though IMO.
You can also get Xanax but you might need to wait an hour while the pharmacy gets their runners on it. I haven't tried valium. I love valium for hangovers.

This is why when I travel our number 1 rule is if we can avoid it, to never stay in condos or buildings with security as it eliminates 90% of the bullshit of last minute visitor rules. We strictly go only for apartments. These rules can be anywhere from:
Only 1 visitor per day allowed.
Visitors only allowed between 9 am - 9 pm.
No visitors allowed after 10 pm.
Visitors are not allowed to dawn on the property.
Visitors are not allowed to use building amenities (pool, gym, etc).
Guest must pay up to 15 mil COP per visitor entering the property (This can get annoying real fast depending on how many you plan on seeing).
All guests entering must check in with ID (This can fuck you over with the Venezuelan chicas because some of them are there illegally and don't have a Cedula or Passport).
You can always chance it but I strongly suggest you find another location where you have a solid answer pertaining to visitors.

Thanks!I went to Paradiso Marino, which is considered one of the better clubs. I thought it was great, lot's of hot girls! The cost was 200 mil pesos per half hour. So, I did an hour for 400 mil. Beautiful 18 year old. Bare for 50 k extra. It is a 20 min + cab ride from Laguito, and not in the greatest neighborhood. So the fare is a lot more than just 10 k to El Centro. At the end of the day, a little more expensive, but nice to have a parade of girls to choose from. One more thing, they keep the rooms too hot, so it's hard to go for extended time.

Recently stayed at the Ermita Hotel which is about a 5 min walk to the walled city or a 10 k cab ride. The hotel had all the amenities you could ask for. The Gym had everything you could need for a good workout I. E Treadmills, free weights, smith machine, yoga mats, & bicycle. The best part was security was very welcoming to our guests. We were a party of 5 and each night we paraded 5-6 women after hours and they let them right in after taking their info down. The security even wanted to hook me up with a Chica he knew. I'm pretty sure he would have taken a cut of whatever was given. They even helped order pizza / wings around 3 am. Overall the staff is very accommodating.

If there was no prostitutes in Colombia but someone offered me a free vacation in either Cartagena or Medellin. I am going to choose Cartagena. If I was only going to prostitutes and both cities were the same then of course I would choose Medellin. A comparison of the number of reports from each city and you see that most mongers choose Medellin.
Even though Cartagena does not have a nice beach, I still enjoy getting an apartment that has a balcony overlooking the ocean. I am also a big fan old shit so I like the old city and the narrow streets that wander through the colonial spanish architecture and visiting Cafe del Mar to watch the sun set over the ocean from a hundreds year old battlement. I like the festive atmosphere of some of the popular plazas like Domingo Plaza in the old city or Plaza Trinidad in Getsemani.
The difference is that if I were strictly going for prostitutes then Cartagena girls are five times more expensive by a than the street walkers in Centro area of Medellin. Even though I mostly just do FB chicas and they cost more than the SWs, I usually get more time for my money that the average girl gives for the same money in Cartagena. That goes without saying that there is in my opinion a pretty good concentration of gorgeous hookers in small area in Cartagena. In Cartagena without any previous planning or preparation you can concievably walk into La Dolce Vita and be surrounded by beautiful women that you can fuck for $50 - - same may happen in places in Bogota as has been reported -but the abmbiance there leaves something to be desired and the weather is just downright cold compared to Cartagena.
Medellin is the City Of The Eternal Spring. Because the weather is almost always around 80 degrees fahrenheit. It is the Godlilocks weather. If Bogota is too Cold (and it is) and Cartagena is too hot / humid (and it is) than Medellin is just right. Also as a bigger city there are a few areas that are crowded with restaurants and bars for La 70 and La 33 in Laureles come to mind but I prefer the area in Poblado east of Lleras Park in Poblado.
In reality these days I spread my time between both places. I do Cartagena first or I do Cartagena first and then Medellin and then back to Cartagena for a day or so then fly home. It depends on whether I find a significantly cheaper flight going to one city over the other. If it is summer time and hot here than I would rather start in Cartagena because the heat doesn't seem as miserable. Then it is such a relief to hit that perfect climate in Medellin with no humity. But if I start in Medellin then that heat and humidiy are just that much more oppressive. So that is an example of preference driven by weather for me.

Anyone flying JetBlue out of JFK prepare for a new annoyance. They did the usual no bag drop unless you show CheckMIG filled out but then once I got to the gate they made everyone line up to check if they had CheckMIG filled out before boarding. I was completely harassed by touts and women while walking over there, literally coming out of the doorways, doubling up on me, and crossing the street in an aggressive manner viewing me as a mark. On that particular occasion, I must have been hit on by ten not so pretty girls walking over from Plaza Madrid. It seemed to be a real low rent crowd too. It happened on the other street where Delirium is located as well. It was similar anti-social behavior with woman grabbing me — just a pure money grab — and I think many were Vennies. You used to never see girls in that area in prior years and they mainly stuck close to the plaza. Many of the touts struck me as a potentially dangerous due to their aggressive and at times hostile behavior. You know how it is, they follow you to the entry of LDV, for example, then try to get a payoff from the door for bringing you there even though I ignored them the entire time. I think it's a matter of time before there is an unfortunate incident involving a foreigner.
In years past, I don't even remember meeting a Vennie. They were usually girls from Medellin, Bucaramanga, or Cali and many were pretty nice, sometimes college students etc. , and had some memorable times. On this last trip, I did not encounter that type of lady; instead I got the feeling they were mostly trying to hustle you or worse.
Hopefully, this crackdown is short lived and rids the town of some of these bad elements.
You guys do not think they do not see the same hookers everyday? And those hoes usually dress a certain way too. You are a single foreign guy approaching one of them and it is easy to determine. Haven't been reading the CTG board until today since I was planning a trip in mid December. Had a great time in 2015. Reading about this crackdown is sad, but more sad is that it sounds like tourists are coming in hoards and without any discretion. Has the same demographic of American tourists that overran Sousa now started coming to CTG in large packs acting loud and stupid and then posting and bragging about it on YouTube and social media? My friend and I saw fireworks shooting up from Centro so we decided to go and see what's going on. So by the time we got there its over thanks to the flooding from the rain earlier causing cabs to drive through the high water and breaking down (we are coming from El Laguito). The Clock tower was barricaded off and no chicas anywhere but to be fair it is a Wednesday night and not a Weekend. We then decided to check out Dolce since it was about 8 pm and we can get first pick at the chicas when the bouncer at the door asked for vaccine card. Now, I'm ready to argue the fuck they talking about because they always pull some shit when we want to go in but then he points at the sign on the door and lo and behold it says as of the 3rd of November entry is prohibited unless you present your vaccine card. I can't argue with a sign that's in plain English jajaja. So we go to get the cards on our phones. Mine comes up and I'm good to go, my friend however vaccine card mysteriously disappeared from the NYS Wallet app now he have to redo all the instructions to get the card back. But we finally got in and just a bunch of girls standing around and the surprising thing is that I recognize many of the girls from my prior trips in the year but now many of them went and got fake tits. SMH. Such a let down, so we left and went over to Space, the guys at the door already know us by face and don't even ask for Vaccine card or pat us down and just waves us in to enjoy the chicas.
So as a heads up to the unvaccinated, Dolce is a no go unless you can work your way around it.

Regarding the new law / situation, I don't see this law staying for too long. Maybe it's just there for the holiday season cause they will put up decorations in the Plaza. I remember they had the decorations last year with fewer people in the Plaza cause of covid and curfews. I don't think they will bother the clubs with the new law. They prob just want give the streets a clean look. Scaring tourist, even sex tourists, will have an economic affect on the city. Watching YouTube and reading message boards lately on DR and Colombia, it is interesting that this hobby which was generally older or middle aged men, alone or with a few close buddies, and discreet, has now been adopted by young guys who act hard and presumably have access to girls back home. I know a lot of cops would give the gringo the shakedown, but now they can really shake someone down by saying we'll haul you away, stamp you a "unpleasant" and deport you. I see the shakedown amounts going up. The rule doesn't say what's the punishment for the colombian or vennie, if there is any.

The Colombians have been patronizing themselves for years. Foreigners are Johnny come latelys . It seems no area wants to be labeled a sex tourist destination. Acceptable P4 P is organized and done with discretion. I've noticed the majority of chicas in the casas are Colombians. Most of Venezuelans work in the street.
I remember my friend and I walking the streets of Cali Colombia with a local Colombian. The Columbian couldn't understand why my friend was trying to conduct business with the SW. He said they were mostly Venezuelans and not considered safe. The Casas and bars were more discrete, safe, and socially acceptable.
I can see the Colombians targeting SW. At the clock tower I notice a mixture of families with and without children and SWs. The SWs seemed to be excepted but discretion had seemed to been taking a backseat.

Cancun generates $20 billion a year and oil generates $10 to $15 billion for Colombia. Does Cartagena have the infrastructure Cancun does? Nah. The beaches? Nah. The fun things to do like the Xcaret parks? Nah. Las Vegas style shows? Nah. Easy 2 or 3 hours flights from Mexico and the USA? Nah. A sane Covid policy for tourists like Mexico? Nah.
Mexico cracked down on prostitution. They did not want the image of being ho to the USA sex tourist and outside of Tijuana, a big city in and of itself, the Boystown areas in the border towns like Laredo, Reynosa, and Juarez became virtual hoing ghost towns. However if you traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico City, or Monterrey inside of Mexico, you could find Western style strip clubs, escorts, and sugar babies galore and for not very much. So if you were to follow the Mexico model, that is what you should do. Keep the hos but keep them away from the families and not so out in the open.
In the Cancun area, the escort agencies have been cracked down on. Still, there are high end strip clubs. For the Mexicans, there are casas where you can get your needs met. I have been there but I had my own map and rented a car and got serviced on the cheap with no problem. Another monger went by cab. The police stopped him and told him, "The casas are not meant for you. Stick to the tourist areas."
The easy part is saying you want to be the next Cancun. The hard part is getting there. Mexico's infrastructure is miles ahead of Colombia, and you have to treat the tourists well to some degree. This president locked up his own people for 7 months, is demonizing mongers, and is requiring vaccine cards to go out to eat.
I was in Cancun when there was a huge Indian wedding. You are talking about a 100 guests and probably 50 rooms rented out at the Marriott. These are the events the president is dying to have. Could you do this in Colombia right now? Given the restrictions, my answer is not just no but hell no. And even if you could, the flights from 48 of the 50 states would be a nightmare.
It will very interesting to see if Colombia can turn itself into a tourist destination. There are some great and interesting places to see. That said, I think this president is the last one who should be trying to do it. He needs some serious training in hospitality.

That is interesting take. Honestly, though, I had to pass on going to Cancun in the summer months because of the amount of rain. In the fall, there were hurricanes and tropical storms. I thought the Mexican Pacific was hurricane free, but then they had a small one while I was in Acapulco. I was told Cartagena is hurricane free.
The one place I saw that always had sun and good weather was Cabo San Lucas. Thing is that when you get into the depths of winter, it can get pretty cold there.

They would say its raining and streets are flooded so it cost more. But to be fair we did have to drive very slow through some foul smelling water every night in Bocagrande and EL Laguito. After the first 2 time they got me with the 20 mil on this trip I just tell them "10 mil a Centro" or 10 mil a El Laguito" then when they say no I start walking to another taxi and it quickly changes to yes jajaja.
Same shit the motoconchos use to do to me in Sosua. I know its 50 pesos to get from where we were to the beach or Anvee but they wants to charge 100 or 200 pesos.

Often I have walked a couple of blocks away, onto the main street, by the drug store and hail my cab from there. Also they have a rate chart. Normally 8 mil sounds like the regular rate. But the rate is higher after certain hours and possibly on weekends. Ask for the rate chart if you feel they are taking advantage of you.

If the president really wants to make Cartagena more hospitable for travelers he needs to crack down on all the hustlers that are pushing a hard sale on tourists no matter where they're from. Sure the clock tower has become something of an eyesore and that's understandable but targeting foreigners is not the answer. To me sex tourism is people on sex tours, groups that are specifically marketed as providing sexual experiences. The problem I have with this is that they are pushing all the girls from where the clock tower to inside the clubs, and if they do that it won't be long before the clubs do the same bullshit in Cartagena that they do state side where girls enter free but guys have to pay to enter. Colombia is not dependent on sex tourism money like the DR. Unlike the DR; the P4 P scene hasn't boomed the economy with sex tourist money within the last 12 years.
The Colombians have been patronizing themselves for years. Foreigners are Johnny come latelys . It seems no area wants to be labeled a sex tourist destination. Acceptable P4 P is organized and done with discretion. I've noticed the majority of chicas in the casas are Colombians. Most of Venezuelans work in the street.
I remember my friend and I walking the streets of Cali Colombia with a local Colombian. The Columbian couldn't understand why my friend was trying to conduct business with the SW. He said they were mostly Venezuelans and not considered safe. The Casas and bars were more discrete, safe, and socially acceptable.
I can see the Colombians targeting SW. At the clock tower I notice a mixture of families with and without children and SWs. I can't remember the name of the street but everything is on there all the casinos, it's one block off the beach. Took a cab ride from Boca Grande into the Walled City about 6 PM. The distance was about 3 miles but traffic was congested. At the Southern tip, I went into El Muelle restaurant to pee, which had no client at that time. Flew into CTG on Viva, arriving 3 PM, took a 20 K Pesos ($5) to the hotel in Boca Grande, hooked up with a wingman who arrived a few days before and has been hoing hot Tinder dates, rates were 200 K - 300 K Cops ($50-75) for 2 hours. A few tour buses but the largest is the 2-level red bus with yellow roof.

I was wondering what is the current situation of the policy of hotels concerning bringing girls at one place since it seems to change quite fast depending on the various political decisions knowing that:

- I will not really be a customer of the hotel, but still will have to enter through the hotel lobby.

I was waiting for the Hop On bus in front of the McDonalds on San Martin Sunday morning. An old cabbie approached me, kept asking what I wanted, finally asked if I wanted chicas. I said I did not want any but he kept hanging around talking, said he could bring chicas to my hotel for 400 K.

I was walking around looking for food and found my new annoyance! This damn guy was constant zipping around the narrow streets of the pussy triangle on a pair of scooters like he's doing down hill skiing. On top of that sometimes he also sometimes had 2 other scooters over his shoulder. Almost hit me twice. Decided to get something new and found this cute little thing from Medellin. We get to talking and she seems funny were both laughing. We get to negotiating and she wants 1 million. I start laughing and tell her I'll give her 200 K for a quick and if she's good I'll give her 500 K for the night. She insists on 1 million. Fine, I'm not interested and I start walking away, to which she stops me and say OK 600 is fine. Great, we get back to the apartment and we start drinking and talking some more, she runs out to the pool and start taking her selfies posting stories, etc, I really don't care she's looking cute. Time for sex, she goes and showers and comes out in the towel, I go to shower and come out in a towel as well as a joke to her doing it jajaj. She turns of the lights so I can't see anything, I turn the lights back on and tell her I like to see everything during the activity. A bit of back and forth of the lights being on and she gives in. She takes of her towel and I take of mine then she puts a face like she just found out Santa Claus isn't real, then I noticed where's she's looking. OK, I ask her what's wrong she says its big I tell her no its normal size, but she slaps a condom on it and starts to suck, I'm already turned off by this so after a minute I say lets go. I get on top she starts yelling "duele" OK, I flip her over, she still yelling "duele"..I honestly have no clue why you guys are still messing with the pros there. Seems like trouble just waiting to happen. A police shakedown or a drugging. Don't let them take pictures of your place as well man. All they are doing is sending all that to their pimps to size you up to see if you are worth robbing / targeting or not. Thought you knew better. Your friend from dolce even confirmed to you that that chick was aiming for a potential police shakedown from you. Probably because she didn't find a good opportunity to drug you. I bet these girls are flocking in legions there from Medellin and all over and getting cuts from police for shakedown opportunities.
I will be returning, but it will not be for the pros there. Locals resent the hell out of us gringos doing that as well lately especially here towards Christmas. Cartagena has a lot to offer imo. So I can't say I really even blame them. I had so many moments of cringe trying to get obvious looking working girls into my nice Airbnb in front of large groups of local travellers dirty eyeing me up and down Is what it is.

These youtubers have single handedly destroyed the scene that you guys loved so much there. Will probably be back to normal eventually or maybe not? The covid vaccine mandates to enter certain buildings tells me that a world wide shift is taking place right now.
If I had my choice I would go retire somewhere in Asia maybe a in krabi Thailand but covid is changing that too. I will be on my guard next time in Cartagena though. A lot of those vendors are big trouble waiting to happen and I'm sure a lot of them are scheming ways to get police shakedowns as well with false complaints / lies.

I plan to stay at one Airbnb located in the Radisson Hotel in la boquilla (I will not be a client of the hotel, but will rent a Airbnb apartment located on the last floor of the hotel).
I was wondering what is the current situation of the policy of hotels concerning bringing girls at one place since it seems to change quite fast depending on the various political decisions knowing that:
- my hotel will be located in la boquilla and not the centro, maybe it is less strict there?
- I will not really be a customer of the hotel, but still will have to enter through the hotel lobby.
- I don't feel really comfortable asking directly the Airbnb person renting the apartment.

The strictness with guests thing is a double edge sword. It greatly protects you when they photo copy their IDs so the girl would have repercussions if she drugged or stole from you but can also make things complicated with constant changing rules. I personally think it's worth the safety though of always having a security / front door person.

Thanks for your help!Looks like you're in the clear for visitors. As long as management or security does not pull a fast one on you then you should be fine. I would suggest to advise your visitors to dress normal and not in street worker attire so eyes are not focused on you.

Nothing in the rules about no visitors and 4 guests allowed. Booked it fully refundable, and then started asking questions about visitor and guest policies. At first I got back vague answers so I had to drill down on them as to specifics, hours allowed, when guests have to be registered ect. After several questions finally have it all spelled out in messages in case they switch things up on me. Visitors allowed till 8 and I can register 3 more guests after I check in. Its a 1 bedroom. For a week that will work for me because I have stayed in that building before and like it. Oceanfront modern condos for cheap.

Some time ago someone posted names of couple of people who speaks English and can arrange a nice girl to stay with me at least for a couple of days for a fee. I looked at several pages back and could not find.
If anyone who knows these people and can pm me I will appreciate it. I know there are some who rent apartments but I prefer to stay at upscale hotels. Since it is first trip would like to take in the sights as well.

The Hilton is at the end of Bocagrande beach, and I have not stayed there, but I have stayed at other luxury hotels: the Dann Cartagena, the Hyatt, and Ermita which is a Marriott hotel, and the rooms were all pretty much the same. The Hilton, Dann, and Hyatt are all on the beach and the Ermita is not so my question to you is this, which is more important to you: being by the beach or being able to bring in women.
Thing is that guys here have said they have brought women in and out of the Ermita without any issues. From what I remember, I think you could skirt the registration desk and get to your room but my memory could be wrong. Anyway, it is the only place I have read or heard of where you are going to get a luxury hotel room and have women come and go without issue.
If you are going for the beach / ocean life, stay at the Hilton. But if you are going for women, I would cancel and get the Ermita.

Thanks again.The Hilton does not allow you to bring visitors to your room unless, as you say, they were registered as a guest when you check in. One thing is that if you do not have a chica lined up before you get there then just register for a day until you get one lined up then make another registration with the chica on it. You did not say when exactly you are going but I might suggest that the closer it gets to Christmas the harder all this is going to be to do. The Colombians flock to Cartagena for the Christmas holidays and chicas tend to gravitated toward the families and work less around the holidays.

For guys new to any location having only a few days, cabbies are very good resources to find gives. The definitely know where houses are. They have taken me to many excellent local hot spots, advise and watch over me while I indulged.
It's just good business both ways. It make good sense to pay them a little extra to get what you want quickly and cheaply.

Thanks guys. I am going in February if Philippines does not open up then. Maybe I should book one night first and see how it goes. Ermita looks good as I have good status with Marriott. Do not know if locals care much about it. I can always cancel day before checking in and rebook day before also.
Since it will be first time I would be more of a tourist than mongering. I have had good experiences with Colombians in Costa Rica and Panama. But Cartagena maybe different.
Like everything else personal experiences vary wildly in mongering.

It is best to check Colombia official Embassy site regarding COVID to see what information pertains to you and your origin of travel.
Information changes all the time, what is no test today can be something entirely different tomorrow. Check their info and plan accordingly.

I believe it's going to be enforced at your departure airport so be prepared. Maybe travel insurance might help if you have to cancel.
We won't know for sure until we hear reports from people traveling to Colombia tomorrow.
For non-resident foreign travelers 18 years and older:
Vaccinated non-resident foreign travelers must present proof they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for at least 14 days prior to travel.
If less than 14 days have elapsed or if the vaccination scheme is not complete, the traveler must present a PCR test with a negative result taken within 72 hours of boarding.

When I went to do bag drop, they wouldn't let me check my bag unless I showed them CheckMIG, then at the gate everyone who didn't check a bag was called up to the gate to verify they all had CheckMIG filled out caused the plane to be delayed because people did not have it filled out. My wingman and I spent a few days in Cartagena, and here are some of our observations:
1. We rented a 2-bedroom condo from Juan, in Laguito, for $90 US per night. The condo was all right for our purpose, next to the beach and chica friendly. Some minor inconveniences only.
2. A bit disappointed for the supply of chicas during the day. We had to wait until evenings for some action. We were there for only 3 days, so we were not interested in the chicks we met the night before, nor in the chicks from the beach. At night, we liked the Torre plaza in centro. I picked a chic from there on one night, but we really liked Dulce Vida and Space. We were impressed by the quantity of chics available and the ratio of mongers to chicks. It was very favorable to us. A headache on who to choose but very happy with that problem. Most chicks were asking 300 k cops, some even asking $100 US, but all quickly retreated to the 200/250 K cops. I was surprised how expensive ST hotels were. We were quoted 180 k cops at one hotel close to LDV. Luckily the chicks did not have any problem coming to our apartment.
3. We took a taxi from centro to Pley club, but it was closed. So, we just turned around and went back to centro.
4. Cartagena was crowded, hence it was difficult to move. Way too many cars, traffic very slow around centro. Restaurants were crowded at night. We found a very good sushi restaurant, not too far from LDV, called Maki Sushi. Reasonably priced for a sushi restaurant.
5. We took the hop-on, hop-off city tour during the day. It was hot and humid, and the bus was moving slowly due to heavy traffic. I am not sure if it was worthed.
6. I have read so much about Cartagena taxi drivers being cheaters. We did not experience any of that, unlike our experiences in Medellin.
