The lockdown was scheduled to end at midnight, yes. I'm not sure why there is so much confusion about the schedule. I have no problem getting a test to get in to Colombia but arranging one to get out could be more difficult.

Good hotel choice Zona Rosa, it's my go to Hotel and the room you were in has a good view of the courtyard of the Veracruz Church. That cannot be a problem. The problem will be if you test positive and you are in Medellin! I suggest to make plans for all cases. I really miss how people could even consider to travel overseas in this situation.

Truth is that given that Covid causes blood clots, it can affect any organ in the body. How many heart attacks or strokes were related to Covid and people were not tested or tested falsely negative? As bad as people said Covid was, it is actually even worse.
Moderna started testing back in March and the people who got the shots then still have elevated antibodies and are now saying the vaccine works for at least a year.

With coming back to the USA, you need a negative Covid test as well, but you can get the antigen test and that only takes 15 minutes to run. It is not the logistical nightmare the PCR test is.

USA will require PCR test for entry beginning Jan 26.I only want to make sure that it is clear that the rapid test is the requirement because there's a big difference between a PCR test and an antigen test. The antigen test is the rapid test that is performed and the results are confirmed within 15 to 45 minutes of the test administration. A PCR test could require 3 to 5 days in order to complete depending on the time it takes for the center to ship the test to the lab. A PCR test is a lot harder to manage under a 3 day time period than a rapid test that is done in the same day at worst.
The PCR test requirement for Colombia is a lot harder to satisfy than the return trip test that the CDC / USA requires for entry onboard a return flight to the United States. That said, I do not know where you can find an antigen / rapid test in Colombia. If anyone knows or can confirm a few reliable options that would be great. If not, I'm asking friends and people I know in MDE for referrals to places where you can reliably get an antigen test for our return flights. Good luck everyone hopefully I can share reliable info.

Yes, taxistas have told me la isla is open even on curfew days, but I have not personally gone myself so I cannot give first hand knowledge whether it's open till 2 am. Both of these tests, when negative, show that you are not currently infected with the virus. The antigen test is far preferable to PCR test because it is faster (some places in US you get the results in 15 minutes) and cheaper. Zeos1 appears to be confusing antigen tests with antibody tests. Antibody test is a blood test that looks for antibodies in your system that fought off the virus. Having a positive antibody test is good because it means that your virus infection / Covid case is behind you and so it is unlikely (though not impossible) that you will get re-infected. Said differently, a positive antibody test means that you have some level of natural immunity to the virus. The CDC order will not allow you to enter the US via airplane on the basis of a positive antibody test. Likewise, the order will not allow you to enter the US via airplane just on the basis that you have already been vaccinated.

Antigen is the best test to take for purposes of getting on a plane to return home. It is on their website. If you're looking for a test that provides you more comfort then you should go with pcr. But, I only care about getting home so I will take the rapid test. Results in 15 to 45 minutes vs 3 to 5 days.

Antigen tests seek specific proteins from the surface of the virus called "antigen". PCR tests seek the DNA. Antigen tests are intended to find if the virus is present, as PCR tests, but are less reliable than PCR.
What Zeos1 and other posters meant to mention is the test for antibodies, but he used the word "antigen". I don't want to be pedantic, but the difference is substantial.

A PCR test takes hours typically at least 24 to get your result.
Both Colombia and the USA accept PCR tests. Colombia does not accept the antigen test. The USA does.

As for this part, "or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight", this is to give people an out who have had the vaccine or have had a Covid infection previously and have formed antibodies to the virus. Unless you know for sure you have had Covid or got the vaccines weeks before, I do NOT recommend using this method.
If you have gotten the vaccine, I DO recommend this test because it has no time limit.

Both of these tests, when negative, show that you are not currently infected with the virus. The antigen test is far preferable to PCR test because it is faster (some places in US you get the results in 15 minutes) and cheaper. Zeos1 appears to be confusing antigen tests with antibody tests. Antibody test is a blood test that looks for antibodies in your system that fought off the virus. Having a positive antibody test is good because it means that your virus infection / Covid case is behind you and so it is unlikely (though not impossible) that you will get re-infected. Said differently, a positive antibody test means that you have some level of natural immunity to the virus. The CDC order will not allow you to enter the US via airplane on the basis of a positive antibody test. Likewise, the order will not allow you to enter the US via airplane just on the basis that you have already been vaccinated.

I have a trip scheduled for February 3rd, and staying the whole month. I'm mid 30's and not necessarily worried about the virus itself but what I am worried about is lockdowns and curfews. I have until the 29th to decide for a full refund and schedule out at a later date.

Also given how fluid and quickly things could change with weekend lockdowns, what might happen is you buy a ticket and then they have a weekend lockdown. Therefore I would suggest arriving on say a Sunday night. This last week a few members showed up like on Thursday and then were locked down from Friday night until Tuesday morning after the Holiday on Monday, so unless they had a companion, or dared to venture out like one member you might be stuck. Also line up as many of your previous contacts as you can which you can always cancel. When I came down in November I utilized a similar strategy to a certain degree. As far as COVID, well that's a crap shoot for sure, and if you think you will be vaccinated by April, you will have a lot more piece of mind while mongering. A tough decision for you but if you still get the paid vacation in April and can get vaccinated well then I guess you just wait it out with the action you can get with Rosy Palms!

A postive test has real implications in all sorts of ways beyond the health ones. This policy is ludicrous and will be hard to implement well in my opinion. We also need data about what happens when vaccinated people are exposed, do they get no covid, mild or asymptomatic covid, or what exactly if they do get exposed. And are they infectious or not. Because the worst thing that can happen is you go on a short trip to escape for a few days, are feeling 100% fine a few days later, and get a nasty surprise, a positive antigen or PCR test the day before you leave and are thus stranded for 2 wks! Try explaining that to your employer and whoever else in your life. This policy as with so many implemented with this pandemic has not been based on facts, well considered or arguably even practical and solution oriented. It is just killing short term travel of all kinds not just mongering. Who would chance a family vacation to the Bahamas for example? I hope the travel industry presses for and gets some answers. I had a short early Feb. Trip planned and likely going to have to postpone. Just giving myself the next 2 wks to see how things evolve.

The only objective way to say someone has recovered from Covid is the antibody test, and you are right it is not FDA approved. I just am assuming that is what it means.
The vaccines just became available a few weeks ago. Granted, some people like MDS got them in the trials but most people do not. I know a ton of people who got the first vaccine but only one who has gotten both. So once there are more people with the vaccine, I bet the CDC will address it again.
If it is two weeks after your second Covid vaccine injection, I am not sure you really should not have to do any testing.

We checked out about 5 clubs in and around centro from 7 pm till they closed at 10 pm, had a drink or two in each, saw some familiar faces and some new ones, got a few contact numbers, I was tempted to pull the trigger in one of the bars (Occidental) but decided not, my buddy found a sweet heart on the street whom he had at his finca last weekend and so he went to her hotel room for 45 minutes as I hung with a few friends who own a business over in Radual street, then at about 10:30 pm my ATF whom I had not seen for a year and lost contact with her wham she comes running up to me, left centro with her in tow and drove my buddy home to his finca and had incredible sex last night like you do with a long lost love, which she is hehehehe.

I don't know what category this falls under, but it's more than fraud / forgery as they could of been or could be infected potentially exposing others. The problem could of been avoided if Migracion policy were to refuse entry into the Country without a test, versus an alternative quarantine policy that is difficult to enforce. It amazes me why people try to get around following the rules, especially with something like this.
They deserve to be severely punished for this, but will probably just get to pay there way out of it somehow, and will probably be banned for future travel into the Country.

I have some contacts that I can have come stay a night or 2 with me. I don't know if they can get from their place to mine during the lockdown. So that could be tricky if there is a weekend shutdown. Like everyone, so over this. I just want to get back to MDE so bad. The longer I am gone the more ready I am to just live there. But, its been months of trying to figure life out-and I still am not sure how I could support myself there.
If you decide to come down to Colombia you should confirm whether or not there are any three day weekends, meaning are there any Holidays on a Monday as they have had a propensity to have stay at home orders during those weekends. Also given how fluid and quickly things could change with weekend lockdowns, what might happen is you buy a ticket and then they have a weekend lockdown. Therefore I would suggest arriving on say a Sunday night. This last week a few members showed up like on Thursday and then were locked down from Friday night until Tuesday morning after the Holiday on Monday, so unless they had a companion, or dared to venture out like one member you might be stuck. Also line up as many of your previous contacts as you can which you can always cancel. When I came down in November I utilized a similar strategy to a certain degree. As far as COVID, well that's a crap shoot for sure, and if you think you will be vaccinated by April, you will have a lot more piece of mind while mongering. A tough decision for you but if you still get the paid vacation in April and can get vaccinated well then I guess you just wait it out with the action you can get with Rosy Palms!

The weekend / week day curfews are implemented to get the infection rate down and subsequently relieve ICU capacity. It looks like some of these actions have been taken previously and helped get numbers low. Hope the same thing happens now.

I've gone there during curfew and non-curfew nights. But they're def not 24/7 like before. I know one of the manager type guys that work there and they were closed on some nights during the lockdown. If they would open during lockdown, you won't go through main door, there's a a side entrance they use, so make it seem the place is still closed. Also, main floor (strip club area) has been closed. You would go upstairs and they converted it into a bar type spot and rooms available to do the deed. Just that not much privacy cuz some rooms are right next to the bar tables so you can see who’s going in and out of the rooms haha.
Luna Lunera stayed open continuously since March, 24/7. They kept it on the down low and advertised apartments to the public. As far as I know they never got fined or caught. They were doing renovations at the same time so there were times when you had to tread lightly to avoid construction debris.
From where I am sitting overlooking Avenida 70, there is more activity compared to the lock down last weekend. Mucho, mucho less than normal but there are a few people milling around and there is some traffic. Flame (girl from last night stayed over) had Frisby's chicken delivered again (they are my fave fried chicken chain in Medellin). I haven't left my Room since 6 P yesterday. The lock down this weekend is less than half as long as the one we had last weekend ends Sunday at 5 P I believe, I did not confirm. Let's hope we have a trend.

As I've written before it seems clear that the entry requirement the United States announced it will put in place January 26 is a negative PCR test result. The enforcement is at the point of departure. Airlines are to verify the requirement is met as a condition of boarding.

All of us who are vaccinated are getting a CDC letter / card indicating vaccine confirmation. What are the chances that immigration authorities in Colombia revise this requirement.

The CDC left it vague about how someone who has recovered from Covid could enter the USA. I think they are going to have to address the vaccine issue and what they meant by recovered shortly. Are they really going to let in people with a positive test and a doctor's letter as some have suggested here? Maybe that is what they meant, but that does not make sense to me.
I implied before that if you booked at double occupancy rate at Ayenda hotels they would not charge you for guests. They would not charge you for the FIRST guest at a double occupancy rate, after that, they charge 20 mil per guest (about five bucks), with some leeway depending on the timing. For example, if a chica comes up to my room in the middle of the day for a drink and leaves in an hour, I wouldn't expect to be charged. But why in the Hell would you want to do that, jajjaja? Find them and Fuck them. Also, this past weekend I got a friendly warning for, Don't bring more than three girls to the room at once (three were allowed) and they seemed to get nervous at a threshold of six girls in a 24 hour period, jajaja. I'm planning a trip to Medellin next month (subject to COVID). I've done Tijuana and Guadalajara, and the real reason I want to visit MDE is the non-mechanical experience. I want better experiences that 1-hour arribas with half-decent looking chicks.
How would you all recommend finding the following type of chica's if you had 6 days in MDE?
1.) Under 30.
2.) Between 6.5-8 in looks.
3.) Willing to spend 2-8 hours.
4.) Sexually open - 3-course menu etc.

You are correct on all counts and I can tell you did in fact visit during the early lockdown. The construction dust and the noise from the temporary bar bothered more than anything else. After a couple of times I stuck to the apartments, first in LOS Colores and later right behind the la 33 headquarters. I am a sentimental fool when it comes to certain places. I don't believe the CDC makes or enforces border security. It is an advisory body with respect to coronavirus control. The USA State Department (which maintains a web site where the latest accurate information can be found by the way) makes the policy and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (aka "ICE") enforces it. ICE also maintains an up to date website. You won't find punter information on either of those sites. I mention this because there appears to be topic confusion. Perhaps the moderator can help with structuring the content here differently.

Those are the only parts of your plan that should present any difficulty.
In my experience it's harder to find a girl over 30 than under 30. It's harder to find a girl under a 6.5 than better than a 6.5 or better.
Your other 2 requirements mostly depend on you. I rarely have difficulty keeping a girl for at least 2 hours. With some guys, the girls are ready to go as quick as they can. There are lots of things that go into this.

Given that I used points I cancel at anytime with no penalties, and the flight leaves at 11:55 PM with a 1:40 layover in FLL, so a perfect connection time. There were a lot of other flight options available, with Spirit actually being a little cheaper but Jetblue is much better all around. Now is a good time to buy flights being refundable with no penalties.

No more. Now I do have a few real cuties that I will give out their contact numbers for, why now? Because they have been spoiled and on their way up to becoming higher earners selling their pussy, and I have trained them in the bedroom and outside how to treat your man so they got game. And I always ask beforehand that they are good with this.
But otherwise never again.

The Tall Man.Mongering is essentially every man for himself, IMO. This is only my second trip to Medellin and I do not consider myself an expert about this city, at least not yet. I can only imagine what it will escalate to once I am relocated here permanently and embedded. There are guys who act like you're holding out when you don't cough up the exact info they want about girls, hotels, etc. That would be correct, I am holding out unless I have met you, approved you, and you have someone worthwhile to trade, WITH her permission in advance, jeje. This morning, La Gacela and I walked from the Estadio Metro Station to UniCentral Mall, a 30 minute stroll along the full length of Avenida 70. I bet we walked by 20 little boutique hotels and as many apartments for rent within a block of Avenida 70 that would be just as "friendly" as any Ayenda property. Jot down the 4 answers on the back of the business card from the hotel. Take a foto of the front of the hotel to match an image with the card. Don't hesitate to ask to see a Room. They will probably show you their best room, then ask can you get that exact same room? At the end or your reconnoiter, glance over your cards and decide your next move. Ostee out.
