Update on my recent post re facebook and second accounts. It seems that FB are getting good at spotting multiple accounts being set up. I tried and the new account was blocked. But in settings. Privacy you can stop anyone seeing your friends list. That affords a decent level of privacy so current friends don't see a rash of new Colombian friends with sexy profile photos!
Here is another level of privacy that can help this situation also. I do not know if you read my earlier post discussing this issue. But here is another thing people do. When you add the chicas as FB friends you want to add them to your "restricted" list. Here is how: once you are "friends" on FB, go to their profile, click the button that indicates they are your friend, its a grey button that says Friends and has a silhouette with a check mark. Click on that and a menu pops up where there are options like "unfriend" , "unfollow" etc and there is an option that says "Edit Friend List" and then another menu pops up with little squares next to the options and you find "restricted". Now they can only see posts and photos that you post to "public".
The reason for this is so that when you make a post for your regular friends and family to see and all of sudden you get 10 to 50 "likes" from chicas in Colombia then your regular friends will see this and so still be able to look at those chicas profiles but if the chicas are in your restricted list then they will not see your posts as long as you are not make the audience of the post "Public".

Just got back from El Centro. Can't understand why anyone would be scared of visiting there during the day.

Just got back from El Centro. Can't understand why anyone would be scared of visiting there during the day.6 months ago it was dangerous and 6 months from now it may well be dangerous again. One thing I did not add in that last post is a person can also print off the directions from Google Maps. What I usually do is after I print the directions and while I'm still sitting at the computer with the map pulled up, I note how many streets are between each turn that I am going to take along the route, I write those down next to where Google has the distance between each turn, so that when I am walking I can glance at that, count the streets, make my next turn, then I glance at the map only after each turn, if your memory is better than mine you probably would not need to look at every turn. But if you prep enough before you go out you do not need to be staring at the paper the whole time..

There are also dozens of shopping centers, malls or whatever you want to call them north of San Antonio between the Metro tracks and Oriental.
Another good spot for clothes shopping is in Itagui just around the corner from the Mayorista red light zone. It appears that the quality is a bit higher there, but prices are also higher.

This post is in response to reading the post about having phones out, printed pages, maps in general.
Medellin looks to be on a grid coordinate plane. With Calle being your X-axis and Carrera being your why-axis. The little trick for me is "calle East: and "Carrera north". It is a little mnemonic trick that says to me Calles run east-west and Carreras run north-south. See that I capitalized the same letters?
Calle North and Calle South has an event horizon that runs through Pobaldo. As you go north, the Calles count higher. Unless you are going to Invigato, Calle Sur (Sur is south in Spanish) will never enter your thinking. However, the same is true. Further south you go, the numbers will increase.
Carrera West and Carrera East does not seem to exist. The Carreras start way off in the east, so they just count from 1 on upwards as you go westwards. Having a river bifurcate the city is helpful, IMO, as it says "east-side" or "west-side", but to me though alone though as I don't know if anyone else sees it that way.
Does Medellin have squiggly streets? You bet it does, but it does not change the fact that you can pretty easily navigate if you know which way is north, or any one cardinal direction.
If you have been to NYC or any city with a grid system, even if it has twists and turns, you can figure out Medellin.

El Centro girls are supposedly 30 k, that's typically for a maximum of 30 minutes, and often only 15-20.
For online advertisers 80 k-150 k for 1 hour is a reasonable range.
Casas are about 50 k for 30 minutes in El Centro. In Laureles they run between 80 k and 150 k per hour.
Loutron I believe is 300 k for 1 hour, although 1 hour is probably the maximum time you get for 300 k. If you finish in 30 minutes, your time is probably up.

IMO the longer times are irrelevant unless you've previously test-driven the chica in a short (one hour or so) session. It depends on how you make the comparison. If you compare casa, for example, Energy in Laureles to typical Clinicas in Sao Paulo. The price is about the same, some are higher, some are lower. To be fair to them, I'm not saying they don't know what there doing in the Countries they normally go to, but a newbie showing up here will not be in tune with what can be had here and for how cheap. So for the guys pulling girls from Lleras, and paying 200 K, I don't feel sorry for them, yet find it amusing, and get a laugh out of it.
And guess what, prices have gone up as a result of the newbie Gringos overpaying.

If you start out at the San Antonio metro station and walk west, the area bounded on the east by the north, south metro tracks, on the south by the east, west metro tracks, on the north by the Veracruz church and on the west by Carrera 54, is almost entirely shopping. Clothing stores of all types are in practically every building. You could probably spend 3 days doing nothing but checking out the stores and kiosks and still not find them all. There are lots of bargains, but quality does vary.
There are also dozens of shopping centers, malls or whatever you want to call them north of San Antonio between the Metro tracks and Oriental.
Another good spot for clothes shopping is in Itagui just around the corner from the Mayorista red light zone. It appears that the quality is a bit higher there, but prices are also higher.
If clothes shopping is your thing, Medellin is a good place to indulge. Before the drug cartels, the textile industry was Medellin's claim to fame.Yes -- the denim and pricing in Medellin is phenomenal. The Super Fashion Center is fully of homegrown discount stores. The stiching is average but the selection and pricing is great.
The malls are slighty higher priced but the quality justifies the extra price.

Incredibly overpriced but just what I was looking for, really.
I needed a walk, and it was the perfect 20 minute journey. Poked around Rio Sur and felt most comfortable with OM Spa, and remembered JJBee has mentioned it. I asked how much the hour long massage was after I was done, so I really can't complain. Whatever they said wasn't going to change my mind. The interesting part was Luciana, a thicker girl with a cute face, asked how I wanted to finish; manual or oral stimulation. JJBee can maybe help with the pricing here, and maybe tell me if she up-sold me... but it was 130k for oral and 80k for manual, I believe. The massage was 180k for a grand total of 310k. Anyone have ever tried Swingers club in Medellin and I know that there are few of them. I finally made it to Medellin. Arrived on the 16th from Bogota and made my way to Ayenda Lukas on LA 70, booked a superior double room for 4 days, checked in and went exploring. The hotel and room was terrible, LOL, it was very small, the safe did not work and the bed was extremely hard. LA 70 is very active day and night for anyone that has never been, many bars, restaurants and little shops / vendors. Headed to Parque Lleras around 9 pm to meet up with SoberHanz69, had some beers and walked around looking at the girls, there were many options but I was just doing some recon and got a few whatsapp numbers. We met up with a couple of guys from NY and hung around with them for most of the evening, I headed back to my hotel around 2.
I left the Hotel Lukas on the 17th and got a full refund minus the 1 night I stayed which was nice. Found The Origen Local Suites, a little more expensive but I have a large room with a kitchenette and laundry area for 157.000 cop a night. The guest policy is no charge during the day from 8 am until 9 pm for 4 hours and 50.000 cop for an overnight guest or after 9 pm. One warning if you stay, it is noisy if it bothers you, ask for a room higher up. Spent the rest of the day bar hopping and talking to a girl I met many months ago as we had plans for Saturday, the day of love and friendship.

Yesterday, Wednesday it was raining, bought a few groceries and hung out in my hotel being lazy, today I am planning to head back to Centro to see what it's like before noon. I hope I didn't bore everyone but wanted to share my adventure so far.

At the airport now, heading to Cartagena and although I did enjoy my trip, I doubt I'll return. This is mainly due to the language barrier and logistics of getting there from my town though.
I really enjoyed the street workers and casas in El Centro but didn't really enjoy Parque Lleras at night. Granted I didn't go in many bars or Gusto's but I didn't find the majority of SW's much better than the quality at New Life and Zandaly.
I won't miss the food (my blood pressure has probably jumped up due to the salt) or the hills.
I did enjoy eating at La Pampa and Barbaro Cocina though and highly recommend them. I also enjoyed the ice cream at Crepes and Waffles and a few other places too.

Just made it to Medellin. First night, Fase dos. I actually wanted to go to La Isla, but the taxi driver kept fighting me about it jaja. I'm guessing he probably got a commission or something. I didn't want to get another cab because it was raining and that that was first taxi that stopped after 10 minutes in the rain so I just went to fase dos. As soon as I got there and sat at the table, this chick came up to me. Arriely or something. Kinda bleh, but whatever. It depends on how you make the comparison. If you compare casa, for example, Energy in Laureles to typical Clinicas in Sao Paulo. The price is about the same, some are higher, some are lower. The difference being Clinica is cleaner in that you always get a clean towel, clean bed sheet, Listerine in the room, have not had a not working shower yet. GFE is the default. So I will say Sao Paulo is a far better value at this price range.
Sao Paulo has night clubs that can get expensive but again GFE is the default, you can just make out on the sofa for hours before going to the room which I did do in La Isla sometimes too but never to the extend that I can do in Sao Paulo clubs. There is no strippers asking for tips and the working girls rarely ask for drink, tip or upsell, at least I have not encountered one yet. LOL. If you like La Isla, then you will like clubs here. La Isla only has one bar. The clubs in Sao Paulo can have more than one bar, restaurant, pool table, cafe.

Most of the girls who work online in Colombia expect to receive 100-200 k for an hour. It doesn't matter how many days you are telling them you want them to stay, they have no guarantee that you'll keep them for 20 days. They have no idea if they want to be around you for 20 days. What matters to them is you're expecting them to commit 24 hours for 1 hour of pay.
What's in it for them? Many of them have children to care for, or elderly family members who they support. They have dogs and cats and other obligations. How are they supposed to handle those obligations if they are stuck with you for 20 days?
Instead of thinking the fault lies with the Colombian women, maybe you should get a better idea of the local situation.
If a girl normally makes 150 k for a date, and it takes up 3 hours with travel time and preparation, she can, in a good week make 1.5 million pesos or more, with only 30 hours of her time. That leaves 138 hours to do what she wants, be with who she wants and to live her life. You're offering her 910 k and want to monopolize all her time. You've made no allowance for her to feed her dogs and children, to care for her grandmother, or spend any time with the people she cares about. And you expect her to kiss your feet for offering her such a deal?
All of that ignores the fact that you're both unknown to each other. You have no idea if you're in any way compatible, you have no idea if she's a thief, or if she has bad personal hygiene.
If you want to have a girlfriend in Colombia, spend your free time, while you're working in Colombia meeting women, talking to them, getting to know them and then find one who wants to be your girlfriend. You'll end up with someone who you are compatible with, someone who wants to be with you and you won't need to insult her by offering her a ridiculously low price for her time.

About to make my first trip to Medellin in November and trying to do a lot of research, but I am stuck on something. Because I didn't know any better, I had booked a hotel in centro, because it seemed to be close to all the low priced casa action, but from what I'm reading in some pages in this forum, it doesn't seem to be a smart place for me to stay for my very first visit. Maybe later, but not right now, when I don't even know any Spanish. My issue is that no matter where I travel, I try to avoid taxis as much as possible and I like to either take a train, bus or walk. Taxis of course are always the more expensive transportation option which I try to avoid by trying to position myself in hotels to where I would not need a taxi.
Anyway, I'm now thinking that I still want easy access to the El centro area, but won't want to get a hotel there, due to what I mentioned above. Did research tonight and it seems that areas I should stay as a first timer is the El Poblado area or the Laureles area. I saw tonight that a metro train (Linea A) can take me from El Poblado to El Centro (Parque Berrio, Prado stops), so that looked promising. No idea at the moment if Laureles area offers something similar, but for right now, I need to know if anyone can recommend a low priced hotel (less than 50 a night. You should venture out around the San Antonio and Parque Berrio stations, and not the Prado station. There are many hotels on and near LA 70 in Laureles Estadio. I have read many are guest friendly. The rooms facing LA 70 will be noisy during the weekends. I don't stay in hotels, so I can't provide personal information. The hotels in Laureles are quite a bit cheaper than in Poblado.

Because I didn't know any better, I had booked a hotel in centro, because it seemed to be close to all the low priced casa action, but from what I'm reading in some pages in this forum, it doesn't seem to be a smart place for me to stay for my very first visit. Maybe later, but not right now, when I don't even know any Spanish. My issue is that no matter where I travel, I try to avoid taxis as much as possible and I like to either take a train, bus or walk. Taxis of course are always the more expensive transportation option which I try to avoid by trying to position myself in hotels to where I would not need a taxi.

There is a second metro train line that goes from Laureles to El Centro. It's a short walk, from San Peter apartments to the Estadio metro station. More importantly it's nice and flat. The Poblado station sits at the bottom of a steep hill.

When you get to San Diego, there will be a group of young ladies and men to help you with your luggage and hail a taxi for you. They are completely safe and help you for a tip, one or two mil is sufficient. Sometimes taxis are waiting and sometimes not, but at that time of night they should be waiting. You have to walk a short distance from where the bus drops you off to where the taxis pick you up. The helpers will take your luggage and lead the way.

I was watching this video of a youtuber walking around El Centro and around 7:05 there is some footage of the infamous Carrera 53 Calle 52 intersection from a great vantage point which I'm am deducing is the Grill Venecia (see attached photo).
Anyone ever eat here before- is it as promising as it looks as an observation deck of the action?You can see the name Grill Venecia on Google maps street view on the second floor. But have never eaten there. There is a place a block and a half away across from Miami Center that has smoked meat using wood that I love to go to. I would recommend just grabbing some drinks for sale on the second floor and sitting there simply for the view. Better view then being on the street and no worries about pick pockets or homeless people or girls asking you to take them.
But I hate that hotel for short time. The one behind it is better. They seem to always shorten the time. Also, it is so loud with the people up there. They are always banging on the doors letting people know time is up. I was with a girl and they pounded on the door next or across from us and it is was so loud like it was our door. I didn't see this particular chica but there are a number of adds from this establishment. Click on "Anuncios mismo teléfono" and you'll see all the girls on offer there. These girls use an apartment on the east side of the town. On google maps search for "Panorama Austral Rionegro" and that's very close to their apartment. My suggestion is to book an Arbnb or hotel in either laureles or nearby poblado for a couple of nights. You can take the metro or cab to see el centro and see if that kind of environment suits you? Be aware that a lot of the supporters of el centro here don't venture out at night for good reasons. This board is dominated by members that swear that el centro is great. I don't agree with that but I respect their opinions. I personally don't go there. If you want to stay in an arbnb in laureles, I would be careful about booking a room in SanPeter. The noise level is intolerable unless you are lucky enough to get a sound proof room. Only a few of the rooms provide that. Good luck

I have fucked in that motel more times then I can count over the past 5 years. It is a cheap 7 mil for 30 minutes motel. I also have sat in the remodeled corner section and re-charged my batteries and watched the action below.
The restaurant as shown in the video at 7:05 is opened and very active place during the day and at any given time during the day and evening there are probably 30 chicas standing in the arched entry ways and right outside the eatery.
