I called Capital One 360 each time I left and was given confusing feedback about fees, no charges or it depends were you use it. I was advises to use ATMs with the all point logo. I never found that logo in any DR or Colombia ATM so I used it anyway. Upon checking my statements, I never saw a Capital One 360 bank charge and I use more than 10 different ATMs.I don't know which Capital One card it was, but yesterday my buddy was trying to use one here in Thailand to purchase some suits. He had to call because they had blocked the card even though he had called to let them know before he left the States. They unblocked it and it worked. This forum is called reports, not tips. Bumping this to keep us on topic.I agree with you a lot. Historically this thread has had very few reports, and very few posts were interseting to everyone at the same time.

But sometimes I read a few posts intersting to me, ie. Coca leaves sold at heath shops. To me, it is not that painful or time-consuming to just ignore posts about viagra, tips, banks, etc. I am sure a few members like these topics, and they don't bother me.
Secondly, most of the members criticizing about the lack of relevant reports here have never posted reports themselves. I won't mention their names, of course.
Lastly, many good reports used to be mocked and attacked by a few haters until they were removed by Jackson last year. Now, reports are respected and appreciated. This is a great improvement.
I am not disagreeing with you. I am just mentioning some factors to help considering whether a stricter policy on the issue of posts is more productive.

I just came back from Medellin and I had a blast. Just wanted to keep you guys updated.

As you know the Peso has taken a hit because of the raising dollar. When I came to Medellin the Peso was around $260,000 (Pesos) for Every $100 US Dollars. So it was a excellent mongering trip, I hardly spent any money.

Medellin Mansion.

As you know I stayed in the Medellin Mansion, its the perfect mongering spot in Medellin, There are working girls in and out of the mansion everyday. My 2nd trip was a bit disappointing. Why was it disappointing? Because I was in the mansion last year around June.

Which was almost 8 Months ago and I still see the same 20 Girls from my last trip!. I was hoping to see some new talent but its the same chicas! You would think after 8 months that I would see some new faces but this trip but I did not. Plus during the day the mansion was pretty dead. Most of the girls only came out at night time. Maybe I came at the wrong time? But last time there were way more girls. Next time I think I will go during summer time when university is out.

Most of the girls will accept 150,000 Pesos for 1 Hour, or 250-300,000 for the whole night. So that comes out to about $58.00. So the mansion Girls are a bargain, Even though I think I get better performance at the casas and its much cheaper.

This is the premier Casa I love new life, and it only cost 42,000 pesos per hour. That's about $15.00 per girl? Amazing! I went to new life the next day I landed and boy did they have some new talent and for $15 bucks you cannot go wrong, even if you get a whack nut.

I fucked about maybe 8 girls out of new life. I had some nice sessions, and there performance were way better than any mansion girl I had and they want 150,000 pesos per hour. Definitely check out new life casa, To me they have the most girls and there rates are amazing, Your not going to get good quality cheap pussy anywhere else.

Now with Loutron I did not make it to this casa the last trip last year, but everybody that I met in the Dominican republic that has been to said to try out Loutron Casa. Its the most expensive casa in Medellin at 230,000 pesos per hour and it was suppose to have nothing but 9's and 10's Chicas. Boy was I so disappointed! First to find this place was a hassle and journey. Its up in the hills with a big gate. So while I'm taking the taxi I'm thinking this place is some exclusive casa and since there charging 230,000 there going to be some stunning women! On my last trip Coffee shop was a nice casa, I found some gems during my last trip, but this trip the place has gone to hell, I found no chica that spark my interest, but hey they only charge 36,000 pesos so on maybe you guys might like this place but for me last year was better. Did not go to energy on my last trip but this trip I said I wanted to check this place out. I think energy is way over hyped. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were around 10 chicas working that day. I found many 1 or 2 that spark my interest but at 130,000 peso per hour, I would think the women would be better quality, again I found better looking girls in New Life.

Regarding the Loutron post the other day, the last time I visited was before Christmas. I don't understand the big deal about the house, it's too damn big and empty, would have been a better gymnasium except that it's too far away to be of much use. I came over to this board from Sosua Reports. I will visit Medellin in May 2015. It will be my first time in Medellin, and my first time in Colombia. So far, I've been to Thailand, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. My most recent experience was in Sosua earlier this month. I'll be in Pattaya again in March. I'm not a total novice at this habit.

I have had some brief conversations face-to-face about the Medellin scene, but I want to speed up my learning curve. I will be a short time (7 day) visitor with basic Spanish language skills, and I want to find all pro action. I understand that Medellin has a combination of club-like short time venues and as well as "casas".

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of relevant posts or give me a rundown / overview of how the scene works in Medellin.

Another thing that we have a tendency to forget is that this is a job for them. They may act like they want to be with you, but it is an act. It's very possible. I took a fb girl from Medellin to Cancun for 5 days. But she wasn't somebody I just picked up out of the blue, we had multiple dates previously and had a good connection. I wouldn't be able to do that with someone I just met. And it's more fun when the girl wants to travel and have fun at the same time and also get some financial assistance as well. I gave her about 700 mil pesos which included her airport transportation and a mini suitcase that she had to buy for the trip. And of course I paid for everything while there. But Cancun was too touristy for me, too many gringos LOL. But the endless tequila shots and hot sex at night was well worth it. I'm in my 30's and speak Spanish, so having communication skills helps.

There are a few things money cannot buy. Pros would get tired of and frustrated by being with somebody who can't speak Spanish and / or whom they don't know. It would become a nightmare if a pro doesn't know about it, lured by the money, and accept your offer. Plus you have to watch her 24 hrs to make sure she is not stealing your things. Just find a girl friend. But you cannot fully trust even "girl friend" in Colombia.

I have stayed in this area before and already know where I will be renting a room for about 20,000 COP a day. I will use this hotel primarily during the daytime and occasionally at night. However as this area gets very dicey at night, I also am going to rent a room in a safer and more upscale neighborhood relatively close to El Centro, preferably in either Estado or Laureles. I have no problem paying upwards of 150,000 COP for a nice place to stay that is guest friendly with no joiner fees with the expectation that I will be booking a double room.

Any hotel suggestions with perhaps a pool and nice rooms / grounds that is guest friendly close to El Centro would be appreciated. Ideally the hotel will be close to a Metro station as well. Not interested in the Poblado area or the Mansion.

If not full, they expect you to buy a room to participate. They were full on the day I inquired, but I did not partake as I headed to El Centro then Mayorista instead.

I have learned a lot from this site and have posted numerous trip reports from various countries to contribute, but now I understand why vets don't post as much or at all due to people just being trolls or questioning their motives. I am no vet by any means, but I go out and do my own homework and research.

About a year back 3 gringos and 7 chicas went to San Andres / la Playa and they got drugged and chaos broke out. At the time I was on line amigos with one of the guys and buddies with the other two. Plus I had taken a spin with two of the girls and was VERY good friends with one of their sisters. I told the real story at what had happened. What did a certain "Pro" that posts here accused me of.

Went out with a buddy yesterday late afternoon and hit several casas including a few I haven't been to before, maybe 7-8 in total. I tried reading through the forum and think I've narrowed in down but this being my first trip it's tough because I don't really know the lay of the land. Coming with a wingman, we have some mongering experience in the DR but this is our first Medellin trip. We like the action, the hunt and clubs. So we are thinking we want to stay close to Mayorista. It seems to be the 2 options here are Macedonia plaza and Alcaravan. These places are close enough to the action where we would just be able to pick up girls and walk back is that correct? From what I understand these hotels are decent but basic, no AC which is a bummer, is one better than the other? Is there a better option in the area?

The no AC might be a deal breaker for my friend so Hotel lleras 10 looks nice but further away. Is it a walk you would make with a girl during the day? And at night safe too? Or would we need to cab it? Is it girl friendly, extra charge?

Thanks for the help guys.I can see from your post that you really have no handle on the layout of Medellin, how spread out everything is and it's many, many various ($$ & quality) chica options. I suspect also you are not fluent in Spanish. The best and only recommendation I have would be for you and your buddy to stay at the Mansion. During your 1st stay enjoy what the Mansion has to offer but make a point to get your ass out to hit the Mayorista street scene (look at a few rooms in nearby hotels-- they have some good value options); hit the Parque Lleras bars and check out Hotel Lleras 10 (this is a nice option in that area); hit the high and low end Centro casas; hit the strip clubs.

At the Mansion you will meet like minded guys who will be happy to point you in the right direction. After your first trip you will then be able to make an intelligent decision on which scene(s) best suits your personal tastes and budget. - Just my humble opinion. Good Luck.

LM is a small strip of bars, ST hotels (decent to shitty) and restaurants, it is fun when it gets busy. On a good night maybe there are 30 to 50 hookers working the strip. In the day time it's a ghost town, maybe one or two stragglers are working. That has been my experience visiting my buddy a few times during the day. The best times on LM are on the weekends after 9 or 10 pm.

They used to have chairs on the wide sidewalk but the police put a stop to that a couple of years ago. The mongers are Colombianos and the occasional gringo. I would not want to resemble a lily white computer geek on La Mayorista, but that's just me.

I have enjoyed some of the most beautiful women in Medellin there but w / the beauties come uncertainties about age. For me La Mayorista is close to the edge of civilization, it's all about one thing. There is a lot of pressure for young Colombianas to work this entry area of the trade so beware! On the weekends is when it's got the most potential and coincidently school is out on the weekends.

Also La Mayorista is at one end of town, the last metro stop. So everything else will that much farther away I / e El Centro which to me might also be a good place for you to do your thing. Taxis are cheap so you might consider staying more centrally located. But your original plan ain't bad for working the hookers of La Mayorista. Be careful, and stay away from the police wandering around. Sitting in the open faced bars downing a cold one, watching the scene is a favorite of mine when in Meddy.

Also La Mayorista is at one end of town, the last metro stop. So everything else will that much farther away I / e El Centro which to me might also be a good place for you to do your thing. Taxis are cheap so you might consider staying more centrally located. But your original plan ain't bad for working the hookers of La Mayorista. Be careful, and stay away from the police wandering around. Sitting in the open faced bars downing a cold one, watching the scene is a favorite of mine when in Meddy.

If you need hand holdin' then go to the mansion. But if your a grown ass man then be adventurous and stay in el centro. There are some hotels near el estadio metro to that are good too. El estadio has a nice strip of bars where locals hangout. Some working girls do hang out there. If they approach you and are super friendly then they are working. If you stay by la mayorista, I would just stay there Friday Saturday and then stay somewhere else the rest of the time. Medellin is very easy to get around by taxi or metro. Most of the Casa scene is very concentrated in downtown Med with a few being a short taxi ride away. I here you can use Uber now too. Which I would use late night. Look at the Google Casa map and you'll see it's really not that bad to get around. Def get a smart phone with GPS so you explorer efficiently. I'm going in mid May for some dirt. LOL. Hey guys, I was looking for some insight for a place to stay. I tried reading through the forum and think I've narrowed in down but this being my first trip it's tough because I don't really know the lay of the land. Coming with a wingman, we have some mongering experience in the DR but this is our first Medellin trip. We like the action, the hunt and clubs. So we are thinking we want to stay close to Mayorista. It seems to be the 2 options here are Macedonia plaza and Alcaravan. These places are close enough to the action where we would just be able to pick up girls and walk back is that correct? From what I understand these hotels are decent but basic, no AC which is a bummer, is one better than the other? Is there a better option in the area?

The no AC might be a deal breaker for my friend so Hotel lleras 10 looks nice but further away. Is it a walk you would make with a girl during the day? And at night safe too? Or would we need to cab it? Is it girl friendly, extra charge?

Had a solid weeArrest/Incarceration/Release Report deleted by Admink in El Centro two days in a row last week, hitting casa after casa with a couple different friends on different days, and all of us were well satisfied. It's always fun to take a friend around that is visiting for the first time, they're like a kid in a candy store! In the group we have all different tastes, and yet we all found several to suit each of us. I had a thin little blonde on only her second day in this business, as confirmed independently with the dueno of the casa. Beautiful face, light eyes, be-cup titties with great mouth and teeth. I got her number and intend to take her outside the casa a few times so will keep her to myself for now.

On a bit of a down note, one observation we made was the signs popping up in many of the casas warning patrons that to view the lineup will cost 3-5 K pesos depending on the casa. What's worse, some of the signs are in English which tells me the problem browsers are likely foreigners. More disturbing than the trivial amount being charged is the trend. I'm just guessing, but it seems the gringo business (or trouble) is not as appreciated as most gringos would like to believe. The good news is the problem will take care of itself, because Colombia is for Colombians and they will remind an asshole of that if he needs it.

I'm sure some employees can understand English and the next thing you know they may start charging foreigners more than locals like they do in China. Some of us foreigners are on a budget and just wish to pay the reasonable fare which I'm sure the casa owners are quite capable of setting. Furthermore I do tip for exceptional service as I am occasionally quite demanding. I do not tip for average or poor service.

Anyway, the lineup was presented in the following order-.

Gina (who I sampled last year).

For example, Zandaly had a black girl running the front desk / bar last time we were there, and after ordering beers that were too warm to drink and seeing the lineup, she had the nerve to go full court press on a viewing fee! I think this place is one of the casas I was referring to recently that has a sign when you walk in posting the fee for viewing. I fly the non-stop flight from Atlanta to Bogota when traveling to Colombia, and I mainly see Colombians and business people. Actually the gringos on these flights is usually around the 20% level, and the majority of those seem to be business people. I am quite sure the Atlanta-Medellin flight will be very similar. It only makes sense that with Colombia become more open to business opportunities and foreign investment, that the amount of direct flights from a very international airport like Atlanta's would increase. I'm quite sure its not linked to tourism.

I don't see it happening. If that was the case, those NY Cats would have long flooded the scene.

A few other things:

1) Medellin is full blown Spanish time. Most guys don't even know elementary Spanish. Sosua is mongering on training wheels, which is why it is so appealing to most.

2) There is no Sosua type setup in Medellin. Maybe in Mayorista, but I doubt dudes could figure out how to get there, let alone navigate the scene. Also, there are only so many rooms at the Mansion. These dudes like to travel in packs, and knowing that one of their boys may not be able to find a room unsettles them. Their only other option are hotels or apartments. 99.9% of hotels in Medellin are not guest friendly, leaving apartments as the final option. Drop these dudes off in Laureles and they will think you just dropped them off in the middle of Kansas.

3) Medellin is not cheap. It would explode most of these dudes budgets who are used to $40 rooms in Sosua. They could pull a Mr. E and setup in $15 rooms at Love Motels in El Centro, but most of them would shit their pants in that area come nightfall. Plus they can't "make it rain" or flaunt their chains down there unless they want a gun in their face or a knife at their back.

I'll add this: as I have said many time, Colombianos set the prices of the local market. Prices at Loutron, Fase Dos, and La Isla (whatever it is called now) are not that high because it is overrun by gringos. We are .05 percent of their patrons.

After spending a couple months in Medellin I just want to write up a trip report for any guys making their first trip and looking for a general guide. As for all you old curmudgeons that just hang out on this forum to proof read, criticize and debate every little topic please just ignore this post because I'm not into all the back and forth.

Regarding lodging I stayed in both El Poblado and in Laureles and I liked both equally well. Both areas felt perfectly safe to me both day and night. El Poblado has more shopping and more of a business district while Laureles felt more like a very hip neighborhood in a big city with many outdoor food & drink places. When I return I'll probably again split my time between these two areas. I didn't pick up any chicas off the streets or the bars in either area either because my tastes are too fussy or because I didn't stay out really late at night when there are likely more chicas looking to make some silver (plata is the Paisa word most often used for money).

I started with the strip clubs because "I love strip clubs!" As I stated in an earlier report the only Medellin strip club I found worth visiting is Fase Dos. The nice thing about the clubs is you can drink and chat with all the girls which is what I like to do. Even with my beginner level Spanish. When you get that feeling that you're ready for action and you've found the right girl you just let her know you want to go next door to South Beach. The total cost for girl and room is 180 mil or about $72 USA Today for an hour or "until you finish". The goal therefore is to make the phone ring after one hour. If you need to buy a condom it'll cost you 5 mil. Get used to using the word "mil" for thousand. From my experience it's best to visit the strip clubs after midnight. Face Dos is jammed and the best looking chicas are working then. After my session I usually worked up an appetite and there's a great little outdoor food counter right there along the sidewalk. Lots more folks to interact with again.

Regarding lodging I stayed in both El Poblado and in Laureles and I liked both equally well. Both areas felt perfectly safe to me both day and night. El Poblado has more shopping and more of a business district while Laureles felt more like a very hip neighborhood in a big city with many outdoor food & drink places. When I return I'll probably again split my time between these two areas. I didn't pick up any chicas off the streets or the bars in either area either because my tastes are too fussy or because I didn't stay out really late at night when there are likely more chicas looking to make some silver (plata is the Paisa word most often used for money).

I started with the strip clubs because "I love strip clubs!" As I stated in an earlier report the only Medellin strip club I found worth visiting is Fase Dos. No matter how many times I asked for clarification of services and prices, the guys running the establishments couldn't give me a straight answer. As a customer, I am always weary of people who can't give me a straight answer or be firm and establish a standard for customers to be able to know what to expect when visiting. Oviedo Mall Cambio: 2,190 cop / usd.

ATM withdrawl (debit card) 2,344 cop / usd.

Keep in mind this is a debit card and not a credit card.

I have done this little experiment in the past and I believe when all ATM fees were included the rates were much more equal or maybe even a little better at the cambios, but things have obviously changed leaning to better rates at the ATM. ----If one exchanges $1,000 usd this will amount to a difference of roughly 150,000 cop. A guy can have a lot of fun in Medellin with 150,000 cop. :-)

ASIDE- on a recent past trip I noted that my debit card (which has no chip) would not work in many ATMs around Medellin. Almost all required a "chip". The ATMs on the wall as you enter west end of Mall Oviedo (nearest the cambios) do process cards without chip. Also the ATM at RIO casino in San Diego does as well. In centro I had real difficulty getting cash without a chip.The above experiment on exchange rates was done in Jan /2015. The below repeat experiment on rates is April 2015 just three months latter:

Friday the cambio gave 2410 pesos / dollar while the ATM debit card gave 2505. Saturday the cambio was 2395 and ATM 2465. This was quite a drop in one day, but I have noted in the past that weekends usually are the worst time to get a good exchange rate anywhere in the world. If I were going to make a generalization I would say wait until midweek to exchange large amounts of dollars.

This strong dollar is truly making things a whole lot cheaper here as long as you stay clear of the gringo business entities that quote their prices in dollars. I cannot blame them as they are just trying to make a living, but the locals are still very much peso based. Peso prices have gone up a little bit in general, but no where's near matching the dollar's valuation.

Just back from my first nine day trip to Medellin. I stayed at Ibis Medellin around 38 USD per night. Taxi in Medellin are very cheap.

Day time action.

During day time I hit Centro casa. I use the casa map that can be found on the board. I try using google map to go the casa but not successful so decide to give exact address to taxi driver and they always found the right address. I paid on average 40000 COP for half hour and give 20000 COP for BBBJ if girl agrees. Half of the girls want to give only covered BJ therefore no tip.

My first two times I stayed in El Poblado,(check pic) very upper middle class and close to Parque Lleras, but also very hilly, my calf received a very goof workout. Then I stayed at Envigo, very middle class and not so hilly.

As far as girls I would use the casas as a backup plan. The girls in MDE are very sweet and will make you fall for them, plus there is chocolate there but very limited. You won't find the skinny waist and big asses I know you will desire, but you will find sweet girls.

Here's what I did; I would spend the nights hanging out and checking out all the establishments and if I saw something I like I would have her for an afternoon delight the next day.
