As a destination, or as only a stop-over, there are places in Pasto.
Several Night Club Discotecas with girls on-site. Flamingo's on road going south just before Catambuca, a couple minutes' by car. Lots of girls, mostly from Cali. 85, ooo for session, opens 8pm There's another one on the road from the airport a few kilometes before getting into Pasto (didn't get to visit) Also motel and casas in this vicinity. In center of town, around the square or plaza where they have the Carnival parade, there are a good number of SW's, girls (and other things) in doorways and casas for night activity.

To Vics Picks -- If youre talking about Pablo Escobar´s mansion in Doradal, I was there last year. Its called Hacienda Napoles just outside Doradal. Took a bus from the Caribe station. It took about 3 hours, COP 20,000.
Pablo had a large collection of exotic wild animals, which the state turned into a wild animal park. Theres lions, zebras, monkeys, pumas, parrotts etc. Theyre fixing up the mansion, turning it into a museum. I think its about 20,000 to get in. I enjoyed the trip.

I just spent about five nights in Manizales. I had my first taxi driver recommend a club called Manhatten when I was getting a ride to my hotel. The next taxi driver said it was not worth going to, and if I understood him correctly, he was describing it as a rip-off place. He said he knew girls that he could take me to and have a look. He told me this after I asked about casas. He was taking me to a termales that day, and afterwards he asked me if I wanted to go see chicas. I was sleepy and tired after a whole day at the hot springs, so I reluctantly declined. It seems like a good taxi drver is the way to go in this town of 400,000. I was here to take a break and be a tourist and relax anyways, so I'll have to explore the chica options on my next trip.
But some practical information I'd like to share is the Hotel Escorial that is conveniently located several blocks from the main cathedral in the center.
Calle 21 No. 21-11. It's 106,000 Monday through Thursday, and 80,000 the three other nights. Very nice place, people, and convenient central location.
I arranged a day trip at the hotel to Ruiz del Nevado - a national park that takes you to 4,300 meters and the snow line. It was worth it, but be prepared to get a headache for about five hours from the high altitude. The good thing is that the trip ends at the Termales del Otono - hot springs pools (three of them) outside of Manizales. The three pools are in the more public visitor area, but for a little more money, I'd recommend the pool in the hotel area - less crowded. The termales are about a half hour outside of town (15,000 pesos each way). I spent three days there and one evening. If you like termales, I'd recommend a visit.
Bucaramanga - I have been thrown aback by the beauty and plentiful gorgeous chicas everywhere here. I totally wasn't expecting this - that's Fo' Sho'!! Admittedly, the faces are probably not as pretty (on a general basis) as those of the beautiful paisas, but the bodies more than make up for it. Body-wise, the chicas here don't have anything to envy girls from the rest of the country. I've been warned about their hot-headed temperaments and domineering ways - where they where the pants in a relationship LOL!!!! I've yet to find that out for myself, though LOL!!!

It was hilarious walking in and seeing all the chicas dressed like playboy bunnies (with the ears and the works) LOL!! They wanted $150,000 for 1/2 hour. I definitely didn't take up on the offer as the girls themselves (about 15) were not displaying any type of positive attitude at all.
Finally, I went diagonally across the street into this well-known place around here by the name of Stop. The cover is $10,000 and can be used towards the purchase of a drink (a beer). The chicas charge a base fee of $100,000 which includes $30,000 for the room. But if you buy 1/2 a bottle of rum/aguardiente for $60,000, you pay only $10,000 for the room + ($50,000 - $70,000) the chica charges.
I saw two that were definitely worth it - a tall and fine blonde and a beautiful mulata. Incredibly enough, there were some very big girls and some other ones that would not make it to this caliber of casa in MDE, BOG or Cali. I conversed with the mulata and brought the price down to $80,000. I normally don't like to overpay, but considering that it was raining and that I was told that in el Centro, you find casas where you pay $40,000 (could be unsafe) + the cab fares - I figured I just go for it. F___ it!
This place was built for a nightclub because the rooms don't have bathrooms in them. The room itself was something else - it had a sofa, a lounging chair, a table and a mattress on the floor (sans the bathroom) LOL!! It was like paying for a room at a regular nightclub where you can get away from the crowd for quick shag LOL!! There are some truly beautiful chicas in Bucaramanga/Floridablanca/Piedecuesta.
There are tons of beautiful ladies in these cities. i have always had a liking for Bucaramanga, at one time i thought about retiring there. I always found Bucaramanga to be safe. I required medical attention on two of my visits and found the doctors and facilities to be very good. If you ever visit a special person there and want a private place try the El Portal. It is a small nature perserve. The cabins are very nice and the one that we used had a very large hot tub.

Don't let my report throw you off from visiting Bucaramanga and the neighboring cities of Floridablanca and Piedecuesta. I have yet to visit these last two but I just got back from Giron where I went to meet-up with two non-pro and sweet chicas a local dude I met this past weekend at one of the regular crowd bars introduced me to. The cab ride cost $10K each way but everything else was very reasonable. We hit this place by a river and bridge and had a picada (mixture of different meats and potatoes) with some beers for a very favorable price. Part of the town itself is very colonial and nice to walk around and take pictures of. The weather is certainly nice in Bucaramanga and the city itself is growing at a fast pace. The costs for cab fares are not expensive. A fraction of what they will cost you in MDE and BOG. The food is also very good and not priced as highly as in other cities (depending on what and where you eat at).
The chicas are stunning. Man, they sure have these super knock-out bodies. You will go crazy seeing so many beautiful chicas. I kid you not! I'm not mocking the Paisas or putting them down or anything (as many boardmembers here seem to be on hair-trigger alert. Like NORAD or something. Always standing by in their defense) but after Caracas, I have not seen so many goddesses in one place since. The area where I am staying at, Cabeceras (the Poblado of Medellin or Usaquen of Bogota) is filled with a lot of university students from the Universidad Autonoma of Bucaramanga. Which is an elite, sort-of an Ivy League school of the area. So the eye candy is plentiful though trying to approach them is very much like trying to approach the non-pro Paisas from El Poblado, Envigado and Sabaneta. But aside from that, it does seem like one can have more access to regular chicas at a fraction of the time, costs and energies that you will in Medellin. Again, I hope not but I'm sure that I'll receive a firestorm from the Medellin ultra-loyalists of this board LOL! Though I hope that is not the case as that is not what I'm trying to brew here. Another city definitely worth checking out is Valledupar. The women are knockouts too with that beautiful skin color blend of light dark with pretty complexions that lately has become my taste du jour. They are very friendly and approachable and the city itself is decent albeit it, very hot. With lots to see and do nearby.

More so than in other parts of the country, as I understand it. Paragliding and river rafting seem to be top among the activities here. Also, if anything, there are other places nearby one can get away to like Valledupar to the north, Cucuta (and Venezuela) to the east and Boyaca and Bogota to the south. Oh, and ofcourse, heaven-on-earth for most boardmembers. Medellin. To the west.

I've been doing it all by bus, believe it or not, since private drivers are outside of my budget reach. Aires http://www.aires.com.co/Home/Default.aspx has some very decent airfares if you purchase them with some time in advance (usually a week). It usually involves making connections in Bogota. Hey, they have a direct flight from the Olaya Herrera airport inside of Medellin to and from Bucaramanga. They even fly to Fort Lauderdale through BAQ from MDE. I've flown with them to Leticia, Amazonas and to Cartagena - both times from Medellin (Jose Maria Cordova airport). It seems as if Avianca is trying to match their prices also - all the better for the common flyer. I try to travel by bus at night so that I can sleep some along the way and get there in the mornings.
Cyberdas, thanks! I will have to check into that, can never find flights to OH, always wind up going to Rio Negro, with that pain in the at$$ ride into Medellin. I've seen so many good reports here about Bucaramanga, I have to see it. Even if it only for the eyecandy.

Furysys, it seems like the only commercial flights that pass through EOH are those of Aires, Satena and ADA. These are for local flights only too since all international flights, for some reason, have to go through Rio Negro. Which as you mentioned, blows. I remember when I was a kid flying from NYC through CTG to EOH on Avianca. Too bad about that not being the case any longer.
The eye candy in Bucaramanga is incredible. Granted, and I'll retract on something I wrote previously about Medellin, the women here are outstanding and plentiful but so is the case with those in Medellin, Bogota, Cali, Valledupar, Manizales, CTG and Santa Martha. I just wasn't expecting that to be the case over here. The bodies sometimes outdo the faces, but even so, they are still great to admire. IMHO, the same thing also happens in Brazil.
Regardless, my take on things is that, for the most part, women in Colombia (and Venezuela) are beautiful even if they're 3s or 4s. I'll gladly take a 4 in Colombia over any 7+ in sex prison, any time of the day, especially since knowing how out-of-reach those 7+ trolls in sex prison are to begin with. My experience so far of Bucaramanga girls is that they are a bit more approachable than those in other parts of the country. But then again, that is relative and YMMV.
Ok, cyberdas, you have convinced me that Bucaramanga is certainly worth the visit next time I head on down to beautiful Colombia, with those beautiful women. Would you know how long the busride is from Bucaramanga to Valledepur, seems like far too much trouble to fly, all the flights seem to go back to Bogota first. Both cities certainly seems worth checking out.

I'm glad I convinced you on heading to B/manga; I'm sure you'll enjoy the eye candy. The bus ride from B/manga to Valledupar and Medellin is approx. 8 hours each way. I rode from Valledupar to B/manga on the night bus and arrived early in the morning. Valledupar seems like a chill place with chill people. The gals are knockouts and the approachability index is very high. They listen to a lot of vallenato over there and the temperature is like that of CTG. Cab fares are very reasonable as the city itself is not that big. I hope this info helps somewhat.

You're right about those long bus rides. I just got back this morning from MDE after travelling all night through a mostly sleepless bus ride with this fat dude who snored the whole way from the bus terminal in MDE to 20 minutes before arriving in B/manga. Unfortunately, bus travel in COL could be a hit or miss kind of experience. So renting a car could make good sense if 1) you can afford the costs associated with doing so (daily rental fees, gas & tolls) and 2) you have what it takes to drive on the one-lane each way highways and crazy inner-city traffic with all the trucks, busses, motorcycles and cars on the road.

I finally hit Siboney last night after hearing much about the place and after learning on Sunday, when I tried to go, that they were closed. I headed there with a local buddy of mine just to be double safe. Apparently it was cool since the place itself counts with two bouncers that check for weapons at the door.
The joint is rather small and is located on the second and third floors of a corner building right off La Transversal 15, about two blocks south of another famous casa in B/manga by the name of Las Golosas. Any taxi driver can take you there without any problems.

The rides there are also on a bigger scale than those you find in other parts of the country. Hey, you can also go on the canopy ride like Alvaro Uribe once did.. LOL!!!

i think you'll find your road trip through those areas to be very different from mainstream destinations in col. from tunja i definitely recommend stopping by villa del leyva. aside from its colonial past and remnants, the town boasts several museums, dinosaur-related stuff and outdoor activities nearby. barbosa, from what i saw riding by and from info. i inquired, doesn't have much to offer. san gil is a must. that's fo' sho'! don't forget to visit las golosas in bucaramanga. prices range from $30k. $35k for 20 minutes of fun. the selection is decent enough for the price. any cab driver will take you there and cab fares there aren't expensive at all. if you travel by day from b/manga to cucuta, you will ride through a high and cool place. el paramo de berlin. with some awesome views. pamplona is pretty chill too. cucuta has several casas with decent prices as well. when i passed through there en route to venezuela, i was told there's a casa with paisas only and there are other casas with chicas from all over the country. definitely worth a peek. good luck with your travels and if you need additional info. / tips. just pm me. cool?

You're welcome! Just so you know, the standard cab fare from the B/manga airport to the city goes for $27K each way. The buses and mini-buses from B/manga to San Gil are decent enough and the rides are for no more than 2. 5 hours each way. The roads in that part of the country are relatively safe too. Don't let anything keep you from visiting B/manga and its surroundings. You will come across tons of foreigners along the way. It is one of Colombia's best-kept secrets if you asked me. Tunja is a high altitude Colonial city. Very colonial and really nice people. Temperatures can get cold at night. There are some bars about 8km north of town they are all in the same area plenty of ladie$. Also, theres an old hacienda type place way up at about 7500 feet overlooking the city on the road to Leyva. Its xtremely isolated. Its called Frontera. Best if you go to any of the above go with a couple of buddies or wingman.

SchwmmBucamaranga is not that great of a place. The (relatively) small Zona Rosa is dead during the week. There's a place previously mentioned here. Colossus. That is nothing more than a plastic table & chair, low budget dive staffed with a dozen hard-working hookers. The colonial bairrio (which you pass coming in from the airport) though, is noteworthy. The airport itself is noteworthy: located high on a mesa above town, interesting if you come in during clear daylight. There are daytime casa options and not really much more to do here. A city for the curious and for guys who like to check all the boxes. Have heard the bus ride to Santa Marta goes through interesting countryside; if anyone has done it, wouldn't mind hearing about it.

There's buses from Terminal del Sur in Medellin going to Manizales approximately every hour in the daytime. One company is Empresa Arauca. Its a 4 1/2 trip. Costs approx. 30,000.
I've never taken that co. Can't recommend it or not. Looked it up on the net. Arauca is the company that I use, I thought the price was 40. 000COP but I could be wrong.

When I take long bus trips I go on an empty stomach and only buy bottled water to go along. There's too much curving and swerving by the drivers for my stomach to take.
And I still get one of those barf bags just in case.
Using the bathroom on the bus was an experience, it would have been impossible given the wild turns we were making but the bathroom is so small you are stuck in it like a sardine so can't get thrown around.As bad as that bus ride may have been. And, I can believe it. Driving that route was worse. Between the rain, construction, horse running loose in the road, tolls, and the curves, hills, hills, trying to pass the trucks. Wouldn't do it again. Could stop though anytime for photos. The scenery some of the world's finest.
Judging by what you say about Manizales, MDE will always be a good spot for casa, chicas etc. I will admit to.
Being kinda surprised that nothing much seems to be available, but maybe that is the old circular argument that if there is nothing, then nobody will go there, therefore nothing will ever happen. The girls know there is always business in MDE, and costs of living are far less in Manizales and other places, so there will always be a migration there.

First stop: Buga. Nice little pueblo, friendly people. Very religious, the center of the town is an old historic church. Lots of beautiful girls.
Second Stop: Armenia. Another very nice little city. Lots of hot girls. A nice cento area to see. Historic church, big sculptures, nice little shops. Sorry guys, but the name of the hotel here escapes me. But if you stand in the town square facing the church and look to your right / front, there is a side street with an obvious hotel there. That is where I stayed. I recommend the place, it was very nice and only 40, 000 pesos a night. Directly across the street are a bakery and restaurant, as well as a convince store. Also here is the National Coffee Park. It is like a small version of Six Flags. Very small. But still fun. 25 dollars buys you a ticket that included all attractions, including a horse ride, bumper boats, go carts, roller coaster, etc. Worth 25 dollars for a fun day. If you are in shape, try the 'coffee walk' back to the top instead of the cable car. Its a nice little walk that will give you a little workout.
Third Stop: Pereira. I did not really like this place. It seems just like St. Louis. A dirty little industrial town where the people are not very friendly. Smoggy, etc. Their only claim to fame is the 'viaduct' which seems to be a large bridge. Not real impressed, did not stay long. Perhaps there is more that I missed.
Fourth Stop: Santa Rosa / Termales. OMFG I love this place. I could move here. Santa Rosa is a nice little town, friendly people. There is a little cafe called Pablos just before the road to the termales. The service here is EXCELLENT even by US standards and the chorizos are fricken awesome. I highly recommenced. I also highly recommend the Hotel Termales. They are right up the road from the public springs. It is expensive for Colombia (97 dollars a night) but it is great. You get a room, access to a private hot spring and pools, poolside service for anything you want to eat or drink, a nice restaurant (you can opt to pay about 30 dollars more for all inclusive breakfast and lunch) and a massage spa that is twenty feet from the hot springs. It also includes free access to the public hot spring area. Pricey, but worth it to set in your own private hot spring with your novia wrapped around you, sipping your drink and contemplating if you should both go get a full body massage or not. FYI, my novia identified several prepagos there, so the place is obviously chicka friendly. I think it may be BYOW though, I did not see any girls trolling for work. Also, don't think too much about why the doorman here needs a 12 gauge. Just be glad he is on your side.
If your budget will not accommodate this, there is another option. Just around the corner from the public springs are several small bed and breakfast type places and many good little eateries. We ate breakfast at one (fresh ages, arepa, pan, chorizo for only 14, 000 pesos for both of us). They are much cheaper. The charge to enter the public hot springs area is 20, 000 pesos. These smaller hotels also have cheap horse rides (10000 pesos for an hour). They take you up into the mountains on horseback and the views are amazing. They also have canopy rides, etc.
All in all, a great area.
Final Stop: Manizales. A very nice little town. Very similar to any normal college town in America. Nice nightlife, cute girls, clean town. Stayed at Casa Galvez. Cost was 68 dollars a night, highly recommend. Very nice rooms, nice staff. Went to Zona Rosa for entertainment at night, and it was fun. Many bars and restaurants and a very safe area. Walked around centro the next day, nice street with many shops, etc. I did not see much in the way of P4P, but I did notice a shop in Zona Rosa called 'Manizales Cupid'. It seemed to be a dating shop (I am assuming for gringos) to meet locals.

Today I also went to "Sagrario" it is another casa con chicas, I saw only 1-2 interesting chicas,"Sagrario" is a casa like "Donde Robinson", you go there and bring with you a girls. Chicas of "Sagrario" cost less about 70. 000 pesos for 2 hours. But "Donde Robinson" is definitively the best. Cachete is a bar with enough ugly putas.

Armenia is much the same only not as dirty with a smaller 'rough section'. I like it, though I watched 3 guys kick the shit out of a guy from across the street in the safety of a restaurant. When they got tired of kicking the guy in public, they dragged him down into the darkness. Amazingly, saw him walking around later on that night.

Ya. Arriving in Armenia you have to keep driving over the bridge past the church to get to the better part of town.

I arrived in Pereira yesterday on the bus from Medellin after a 5 1/2 ride. This is my 3rd trip here so I kind of know the ropes a little. Came here mostly to go to the hot spring spas in Santa Rosa de Cabral.
Checked into the Hotel Soratama, right across from Plaza Bolivar. And immediately made some rounds of the plaza. I have not been to Per. Or Arm.. But it would be difficult ot beat Medellin for pure P4P, especially if you know the ropes. Tons of choices. Endless really. And the prices!
When I go to a city, I try to stay awhile. Short fly overs just don't do it.

I was in Pereira last winter.
Tranvia: Hooker bar on the northwest corner of Parque Lago. Mellow place, no hustle, cheap beer. But, not the best looking women.
The doorman recommended Flores Frescas. It's a couple blocs away. Yes, I did walk that neighborhood at night and lived to tell the tale.
I didn't think it was that bad an area. Walk like you know where you're going and don't act like a victim.
Flores Frescas: Same experience as Palermo, basically. Expensive. 130K for half an hour. WTF! And the chambermaid will be banging on that door after 30 minutes.
Excellent quality, though. I'm afraid the local narcos drive the prices up.
Palermo is right, non-pros are not easy in Pereira. Don't know how that myth started.
I do like that part of Colombia.

If you are in Leticia, then mongering is not the reason why you are here. There are tons of excellent places in Colombia filled with gorgeous chicas and much better weather. However, if you are looking for a girlfriend for the night after exhausting trips to the jungle there are places you can visit here. There is a place called Excalibur Bar, pink color, one story building on La Frontera (Internacional Ave) between Cll 7 and 8, right in front of the convenience store. There are two places with girls sitting in the chairs in front, bar and private rooms are in the back. It's a short walk from the hotel district in Leticia, no need for a cab, place is fairly safe, even at night. There are several stores across the street and a night food stall. You can also take a cab for 2-3K from the center of Leticia, if you stay by the river. Talent on hand is mostly brought over here from Medellin and Cali to work for few months. About 10 to choose from, ranging from 4-8. Since there is not much competition cost are far higher then in BOG, it will cost you 80K and there is not much room for negotiations.
Further down the street as you cross into Brazilian town of Tabatinga are few places on the left as you cross the border, but they appeared dodgy and unsafe. There is a huge local dance parties in Tabatinga if you happen to be there during the weekend, place is called Compra, if I remember correctly. Any cab from Leticia can take you there. 15 min drive for 30 K. It is for sure a sight to see, and if your Portuguese is good you might get lucky.

It's been three plus years since I was there, saw little pro activity as stated above, but the non pro was outstanding. I was there about a week and had enough time to develop some relationship with a couple of non pro locals.
I took the bus from Medellin to Pereira, mainly to go to the hot-spring termales in Santa Rosa de Cabal. But I was surprised on the action I saw in Pereira.
After checking into my hotel I walked over to Plaza Boulevar and walked around. I must have scene 10 working chicas there. Mostly young and scrufty. Some looked like druggies, but none of them really turned me on. So I walked over to Bar Tranvia on Carrera 7 next to Parque Lago. There were about 8 chicas in the bar ready for action. So I'm hanging out in small coastal town, where there is not a lot going on, but I wanted to try it out and see some nearby sites, plus I had 2 'amigas' to meet, that I had met online and had been chatting to for the last month (hey, it's boring in sex prision, what else are ya going to do?)

Mean while my amiga in the back chats on her blackberry to her novio and I hear her telling him she's on her way home from her aunt's place. When she hangs up the cop phones her and she has to placate him for a while, and I hear her telling him she is with a few of her sexy amigas, and they are going to meet him another night, for sure.
We miraculously back up safely and head back down the hill, finally reaching level ground after nearly sideswiping 2 more cars who blare their horns and flash their lights.

All in all, about the worst way you could go about finding the right bar to go to, but I do enjoy the ride, usually. I'll be heading back to that little town and bar asap, but I'll be alone this time. I think it will all have been worth it.

Thanks for the info. La Puerta is good, lots and lots of gringos though and a place where non pros and pros are looking for them. I've never been to Taganga. There are some coastal towns west of Cartagena where you can fnd some bars with no gringos, non pros mostly and not as easy as Santa Marta which is gringo central.
Santa Marta: Do not stay out of town at one of the high end resorts, you end up paying a fortune in taxis to SM or Rodadero. Best to rent an apt in Rodadero as many have said before. Some good hostels with private rooms too (La Brisa Loca in SM).
You can have some terrible food experiences in Rodadero and SM too, but I highly recommend Ouzo in el parque de los novios. Great steak, pizza, pasta.
For lunch, hard to beat Cafe Lulo. Lulo, Agave Azul, Ouzo and El santo are all related, so go to one and you can find cards for the others.
Bars: Didn't have much sucess in Rodadero, but I assume San Alejo is a good bet, and the locals all swear by la escollera. Burukuka or whatever it is called was high end, all couples when I was there.
The place to go is La Puerta in SM, a short walk from parque de los novios. Soon as I walked in a prepago gave me the smile and I knew I was in the right place. Fridays and Saturdays from 11 pm to 3 am. Not jammed full of prepagos, but a few. Actually, probably lots, but not all are obvious.
The one I met was showing me her tits 5 minutes after meeting. She was fun for a while, but then got so wasted I bailed.
Non pros everwhere, young guy's paradise, and even I did pretty well. There is a reason the few guys on ISG who spend a lot of time here tell you to go to Medellin. I wouldn't give it away either except that I hate the heat, and besides, blackhawk69 is a dork and deserves to have his secret revealed. Anyway, I'll go to Medellin, where non pros are way more difficult, but at least I can walk around without getting fried.

1st stop in Taganga: Mirador, bar just over the top of the hill coming into town. Mostly a young hangout, but an average looking prepago approached me until my amiga intervened.
Sure thing place: Sensation. Just on the corner of 1 and, maybe 13? 14? Anyway, just follow the loud music, second floor, open air.
Lots of prepagos, and I mean lots. I actually had a better time on weekdays, when the place was deserted, just me and 4 or 5 prepagos. Easy as pie. And of course once you know one of them, they introduce you to all the rest. They all know each other and often dance in a pack of 6 or 8. If it's really dead, they are probably hanging out in front of the bar by the beach. Just lean on the railing there and they will see you and send a scout up, LOL. Don't be shy.
Weekends the place is packed, and there are 15 to 20 prepagos that are obvious, maybe lots more that are not so obvious, that are after the young gringo backpackers.
So I actually had more trouble finding a good one that was available on Friday and Saturday nights. They all gave me their phone numbers, but were already spoken for or were keen on the younger guys that had shown up from SM. Still, fun place to hang out, girls dancing on the bar by the DJ, cheap drinks, good times. Loud music of course.
Be careful though, one of the ringleaders looked to me to be pretty young. She swore she was 22, but she looked 16 to me. I told her I was not interested whether she had a cedula or not, she was offended but later she got over it and she was useful in bringing all the others around to meet me.
Also met a coke head rail thin half Russian chick from Cartagena, said she usually worked at LDV. Also not even close to my type, for so many reasons, but I bought her a drink and she started working the crowd for me, and introduced me to 3 or 4 girls I never would have known were on the program.
Young guys in this bar were having the time of their lives, I was kicking myself for not knowing of a place like this when I was 20, damn.
Met 'Tatiana', I thought she was local for sure, morena with almond eyes far apart, stunning body. Turns out she is from Medellin, usually works in Cartagena, as a lot of these girls do I suppose. I have phone numbers, but not much point as they will only be around a week or two before moving on. Anyway, if you can't find a girl in sensation, well, there's no hope.
You do have to make sure they know you are keen. I mean, the first time I was there (with 2 amigas) the girls waved and smiled at me, but when I didn't go over right away, they give up and move on. When I went back alone I had to go and tell them why I ignored them the first night.
Anyway, Tatiana tells me 200k, I said no way, and foolishly offered 100k, which brought a smile to her face. We settled on 120k because I am a sucker and she just looked damn good. Where to stay: If you can handle the heat and don't mind no air, Casa Holanda is cheap and clean and about 50 yards from sensation. Divanga is a good hostel, has a pool, but it is way up a hill, and the streets are mud, not to mention the idea of walking up an unlit dirt road at 3 am is not a pleasant one.
Best place is probably hotel Ballena Azul, especially if you want air con. I didn't stay there but it looks to be the only modern upscale place there.
Food: Pacha mama was very good, nice place to take a girl too. Casa Holanda gets good reviews, but it is very average. Less than average IMO. Far better: Cafe Bonsai, excellent sandwiches and a bbq at night. Good coffee, wifi and air con. Perfect.
Do not eat at any place on the beach. I had the worst rubber shrimp you can imagine, just awful. Maybe there is a good place along the water, but I gave up after 2 failed attempts.
Enjoy you lucky bastards that can handle the heat.

Santa Marta offers dirty beaches, very limited mongering opportunities compared to say a Cartagena, Medellin, or even Barranquilla. It also is not the greatest place to be at night if you do not know your way around, as robberies and crimes against tourists are very common. Actually a couple of tourists were killed in Santa Marta last year. It does have only 3 puta dance type of bars, and alot of ugly street putas wandering around who are over weight, and missing teeth. Never seen so many girls with missing teeth as you find in the Santa Marta area. Must be something in the contaminated water, and yes the water is very contaminated.

Up the other side of the coast, west of Cartagena, is a small place called Tolu. A load of bars cluster to the east of town with some non pros. Behind these bars is a local brothel that is "rustic". Maybe your next trip.
Yeah, SM is overrun with gringos, especially the backpackers on their way to Taganga and Tayrona, but the girls go to where the gringos are in my experience.
But Taganga was the real surprise for me, just so easy, either with local non pros or with the prepagos at Sensation.

Please Please don't go to Pereira if chicas are your no. 1 objective. Its going to be disappointing. Not much here and what there is not very good looking compared to Medellin, Cali or Bogota.

That being said, the locals need places to release their sexual tension just like any place so there are places to go, you just won't find them without the help of a local. My advise is to enlist the help of a taxi driver and if they don't help you ask another one. There is a small but decent strip club scene but it is in El Centro which at night is very dangerous, at least as dangerous as El Centro in Medellin, if I had to choose between walking at night in either place I would choose Medellin so if you go to the clubs in El Centro at night by all means go by taxi, DO NOT WALK, I can not stress this enough. I am very well traveled and the one and only time I have been in a life and death situation was the one and only time I decided to take a stroll in El Centro in Manizales and I was not walking alone. Anybody that lives in Manizales will tell you to stay out of there at night.
If you PM me I will give you the address and phone number of a small casa that has a stunning inventory as long as you promise not to post it here or anywhere else for that matter.

Been hanging around here for the last 2 days, mainly to go to the hot spring termales in Santa Rosa de Cabal. Don't have much to report, I've talked to a couple of prostitutas in the El Centro area, but they started off asking 30K, which is ridiculous considering the looks and location. I didn't pull the trigger with any one of them.
I can recommend a good restaurant, its named is Urbano in the Bolivar Plaza Mall upstairs. For under $6 I had a big steak, plus pasta, plaintain, and a fruit salad too.
I like Pereira because its a safe and comfortable place to hang out even though there's not much to do here.

Seems to me that this city would enjoy the same climate as Cartagena, but with few foreign tourists.
That makes it interesting, at least to vivist for week or so, since Medellin, having it all but a beach.
I read on Wikipedia that the Panamerican Highway is broken above Turbo, so it seems dificult to access to Panama, even if it very close by which is part of the Catch 22 situation I encounter about leaving Colombia to renew my tourist visa. It cost $750 US to travel from Medellin to San Jose, where I have a dear friend, while the corresponding trip in USA, Europe or Asia would the like $100-200 US. The only cheap rout is to Ecuador, but it seems boring.

There is currently no paved road connecting through the region to Yaviza, Panama, where the highway continues through Central and North America.

I recently was in Buenaventura on business and thought I'd add some information for mongers.
Thist isn't a place for sex tourism, if anyone is looking for pastures new, nor incredibly is it a haven for those who like black pussy because although obviously there is plenty around, its not P2P however perhaps those who stay for a while might be able to find some local produce for regular consumption.
The "flashest" club in town is apparently a massage parlour, recommended by the taxi driver and 20 minutes away from the centre, and is called PK2 on calle 5A no. 42-12 Bellavista. The tax drivers know it as the 14 as there is a supermarket or something there nearby with the same name.
The club itself seemed promising at first neatly layed out private parking sofas why all. I thought that it was a mix between clubs in Bogota and european brothels.
However I was there at 5pm and obviously it was too early, I was recommmended to come back around 8pm where there would be more girls.
The place was safe and apparently for upscale locals for people visiting the port and obviously foreigners in town. Its a shame it wasnt properly organised for daytime activities, athought if you must have sex there are girls on the premises and I'm sure the manager would call you one at any time.
However, the quality of the girls was lacking, I did not see anything to my liking although the pretty ones might arrive later. The bossman seemed nice enough but after offering fatties and uglies I decided to quit.
Generally my opinion is that the girls here service the horny sailors or their bosses who after some drinks don't care who they fuck, however at 130, 000COP for 45 minutes it would seem better to go the red light area for a cheaper relief.
In any case I asked the taxi driver to take me there which is near the port in the centre. At 6pm it did not seem too scary with a church there and many families however there were some neon decorated bars, spotted a group of Chinese walking around onviously from a local ship. Could be crazy later on but certainly not like Santa Fe in Bogota.
If you are brave you might want to hang around here at night, but I would suggest a taxi driver to drive you around and pick you up when you are done.

I had planned to go to Buenaventura but a friend who is there semi-regularyly said the same thing. He did mention that while it looks safe. Seems to me that this city would enjoy the same climate as Cartagena, but with few foreign tourists.
That makes it interesting, at least to vivist for week or so, since Medellin, having it all but a beach.
I read on Wikipedia that the Panamerican Highway is broken above Turbo, so it seems dificult to access to Panama, even if it very close by which is part of the Catch 22 situation I encounter about leaving Colombia to renew my tourist visa. It cost $750 US to travel from Medellin to San Jose, where I have a dear friend, while the corresponding trip in USA, Europe or Asia would the like $100-200 US. The only cheap rout is to Ecuador, but it seems boring.

Even though milions have been poured in it's never been developed. Probably the Panamanian government prefers it that way. It provides a natural barier to the drug war activity that is hapening in Colombia and cow disease too.
What about crossing into Maracaibo? I supose that's further for you?

Haven't heard anything lately. A lot of changes with roads connecting cities is coming in the next few years, I think their be more people going to the coast on weekends from the inner cities.
Well this surely ain't no tourist town. 500, 000 people and I must be the only gringo. A refreshing change of pace.
So, I went to this address. Supposedly a casa, Pererios (sp?) Calle 35 #5B-12, at Carrera 5. Quite a hike from the centro. Anyway, I found the right address, and knocked, and no one answered. It was in kind of a sketchy area, and had no markings, and I got the info from another forum from a 7-year old post, so I didn't hang around too long. Who knows, ownership of the building might have changed, and I might have had an unpleasant interaction / conversation. Anyway, after I left, I saw a fugly woman banging on the door for a while, and after a long while someone answered. If that woman was representative of who was working in there, then it was better as a pass.
Seeing as how it's Saturday night, the town should be live tonight. Will start at Star club, apparently the one place that is most like a strip club, and report back with findings. Plenty of eye candy on the street, hopefully it's in the clubs tonight too.

I survived the insane 2hr $10 bus ride from Cali on Trans Mar. I almost got religon again. Any port city this size has got plenty of hookers. If you're a slime like me, just go to cheap bars ask around and they'll show up! Paid 30k for 61 minutes. I always say 61. Not 60 cause I insist they don't short my time. After a couple of sessions I just get massages. Full body of course. Stout black girls seem to do the best at that. Stay at the Hotel Cordillera for about $17, small room with air con, refrig, cold shower, TV, breakfast and balcony overlooking the street. Its a 5 min walk from bus station. Noisy as hell. Bring ear plugs, I use wax. A shortwalk away is the American Bar. They have about 15 girls, a little above my standards but as ashamed as I am to admit it I did two of them for 61 minutes each for about $37. That was the most I've ever paid but what the hell. Any beaches there?Downtown there is a tourist port where you can sign up for launch trips to Bahai Malaga and other tourist destinations. The boat takes about an hour. Bahai Malaga nature preserve has hotels, bars, restaurants, sand streets, only Claro cel, no internet except slowest Claro, a dark sand beach, great whale watching in late summer early autumn (none of this safety oriented whale watching of the USA or Canada; your captain takes you right up next to a giant grey whale in his little motorboat) , exploring the jungle on boat, wild life, etc. Lots of Colombian tourists here.
The city itself seems like the pits for sightseeeing.

At one point the murder rate was astronomical. 175+/100K. It has calmed down a bit but not that much. I am fairly adventurous, but I would consider it too "caliente" for my liking. That and what is the upshot? It's not a gorgeous port or anything. You could find action in almost any city, nothing extraordinary there. Even beautiful black girls can be found all over, for example Cali.

Santa Marta offers dirty beaches, very limited mongering opportunities compared to say a Cartagena, Medellin, or even Barranquilla. It also is not the greatest place to be at night if you do not know your way around, as robberies and crimes against tourists are very common. Actually a couple of tourists were killed in Santa Marta last year. It does have only 3 puta dance type of bars, and alot of ugly street putas wandering around who are over weight, and missing teeth. Never seen so many girls with missing teeth as you find in the Santa Marta area. Must be something in the contaminated water, and yes the water is very contaminated.

More to the point, the beaches there are not ugly unless you're unwilling to do any legwork whatsoever. Go into the national park, take lanchas (water taxis) and explore a bit. Where the river mouth meets the ocean, there are nice private cabinas. Very pimp place to take a girl. There is a house that hangs over a cliff, ditto. Inside the park there is a serious diversity of beaches, some of which are very nice. It's much nicer than Cartagena and the Pacific region as well.

I'm in Santa Rosa cabal might be here still for awhile way nicer then Chinchina put less pro places, While I'm posting on Chinchina I think those bars that are past Parcel on weekends may open late morning and close like 2 am like the Santa rosa bars. Also when you take the bus from there Chinchina as you start to take the road a couple blocks from where the buses leave seems to be another bar with girls. Maybe next Saturday leave middle of day from Santa Rosa take a 3 mil 25 minute bus ride there, My main thing is to hit Las Vegas bar there in centro past parecel that one block of sleazy clubs not the supers hit holes by the market. I know at El parcel its 45 mil for a quickie in Santa Rosa at the Pollypop bar like 37 mil a quick 20 minute pop maybe that las Vegas since its scummier might be cheaper, Will go like noon like I said return 7ish.

If you like to dive, Taganga is a good place. Went with Poseidon for a 2 dive trip. COP 150K. Told them I had a bad experience last time around and the dive master was very attentive.
I found a great restaurant in Taganga. Baba Ganoush. It is up the hill at the beginning of the road that takes you out of Taganga. I had excellent Carpacio, Filet Mignon in Red Wine (Blue Cheese was recommended but not my thing) and white chocolate mousse. Awesome view over the bay and the whole town too.

So it looks like Santa Marta has a bit of a negative reputation. I'm an expat thats been living here a while now, if you are heading this way let me know and I'd be more than happy to point you in the right directions (hottest girls, apartments, girl friendly hotels, clubs, VIP etc.).

There are a few places in popayan near each other. I think they are on carrera 17 straight southwest from the bus terminal (down the main avenue a few km). They have expensive and cheap places next door to each other there. I think there are three or four places. I visited two. There is a very expensive place called oro negro (black gold). The place looks decent inside but the girls were normalish and wanted 80K! In frigin popayan! So I said umm yea bye. Next door you have your typical dim lit cheap place. Lower quality and high mileage chicas but 30k. Much better price for a quickie! The room was extremely basic but hey I came. Girl was nice and friendly and at the end she pulled out a tip jar with a coin hole in it! Hahaha coin tips in Colombia. Fantastic! I resisted the temptation to tip her in bills and put perhaps 700 in the jar.
Before going out in Popayan I did search the forum for any information and found none. In general, every decent sized city in Colombia will have chicas, just ask a taxi driver. Smaller places like farming villages only have chicas on Saturday nights. You have to ask.
For the tourists out there, San Agustin only has chicas on Saturday afternoons / nights. From Parque Central on the supermarket side, go down the hill behind the church for two blocks and in the third block the chicas work out of a house on the right. You will know it by the loud music. The only alternative is pitalito (40 KM away) a 50K taxi ride each way.
San Agustin archeological site is splendid BTW.
No action in San Andres near tierradentro.
BTW, its always funny to see Colombians reactions when I ask for negocios de mujeres (surprise, you are looking for prostitutes!). I look completely like a gringo but speak spanish. Never had any issues.

This is in the same area as the bull-ring area clubs but a few kilometers further out of town on the highway to Pereira. It's by far the nicest installation and the girls seem to be the hottest. If you are passing through Medellin and you're looking for something approximating the nicer clubs in Medellin, this is it. Taxi from town should run about 10k, entrance is 10k with 5k consumnible. Don't really remember drink prices, somewhat inflated, but cheaper than Fase II or La Isla as I remember by a good bit. I could set up a new date with her and have the police come and take us to the station and I can show the evidence from my previous trip and from my bank phonecalls etc. Or another guy from Colombiancupid meets her and let me and the police know where you are and then go her to take her for questioning.
To complicated for $US 1500 minus all the costs and time. But other persons have maybe lost a lot more. She is skillfull and totally deceptful. Semmingly harmless, but stings like a Cobra when you except it the least!

When I took a shower she waited for me in my hotelroom. Then she took the card, ran to the ATM and took out cash, and then back to the room, putting back the card in my wallet.
I could just got out of the shower 1-2 minutes or seconds before and I had caught her. Since the first thing I did, was to check if my card was still in my wallet. It was. This she managed to do both Friday and Saturday night!
I saw the withdrawals and called my bank. The bank gave me the facts and where and when, and I put it together.
On the Friday she took out 1. 8 million and on the Saturday 1. 2 million. 3 million pesos! The ATM max!
I broke my own security rules. I did not ask for her cedula when she entered my hotel. I left her unwatched. I mean JESUS!
This was a lesson to be learned.
Now I have updated my security routines; I change codes on my cards when I feel someone might have seen it, I have a wire-lock on my closet and inside I have another lock on my laptop bag and suitcase etc etc.
I needed to be thaught a tuff lesson.

I recall what I did. I was taking a shower.
She sat next to me, but sure she must have been VERY lucky to get the code like that, but the exact time of the withdrawals tells that it is her, not the hotelstaff as I initially thought.
Since it was the card with chip, it was not shimming, and in order to get a refund I need to have some sort of identification of her, since it teoretically could be myself who did the withdrawal.
She is skilled in what she does.
I would love to go to Pereia and explain my case to the police and have her explain herself. But I think such an humilitaion she will not take. She will respond with an acuse of sexual abuse.
It is the oldest trick in the world and as an Old Pirate I should have knowed better.
I had kind of pneumonia and sinusitis and aside the antibiotice I took painkillers Tramadol which made me slow. I should never have traveled to that ugly city.

As what happend in Pereira could have been avoided if I had her cedula (which I stupidly did not ask for).
I now sended mi I'd and passport via whatssapp and got hers in return by photo. We have been on whatss app and Skype since April.
She first thougt it was overcourse but then she understood and collaberated.
I have saved the photos of her I'd / cedula on my computer and on gmail and msn.com , so I can't loose them, and can get quick access to them if I loose my celulcar.
And I will check my Internetbank everyday and before leaving, making sure that there has been no whitdrawals from my card.
I will use cash more in order not to expose my PIN Code unnecesarily.
I bring a TITAN suitcase with good locks, but not unbreakable, so I will put a additional lock on it (if practically posible), and / or inside where I keep my cards and passport etc.

Visiting a friend in Buga which is a small town about an hour outside of Cali. After landing in Medellin the other evening, I stopped and bought my bus ticket to Buga at the South Terminal. There are a few bus lines but I chose the one I used before on a trip to Cali from Medellin. I chose the last bus at 11:15 so I could sleep most of the ride and that bus seems to not have many passengers so you can spread out as far as seat choice. This ride was fast, comfortable and un eventful. I say that because the last time had a few things happen like a few accidents on the road that held up traffic and the police stopping us and boarding the bus checking everyone's I'd's and the luggage compartment. The bus ride took 6 1/2 hours and stopped at Palo Blanco which was about 5-10 minutes from my friend's house close to the center of Buga. There are plenty taxis waiting at the bus stop.
I won't be here mongering but always have my eyes and ears open to what may be happening. I do think it is a nice place to check out if you have free time and you are in Cali. Visited the big church here which is relatively famous to Catholics in and around this area and as far as Medellin since I heard people mention it there as well. I will try to post more on this town but have only been here two days, I can say it is pretty and tranquil and there are some nice looking women here. I will post photos when I have a chance.

You have to at least get a half bottle of firewater or ron to get a table. I was quoted 150 k for half hour in one of the room in house. Steep. Bar fined a hot girl instead for 100 k fine, and 150 k for her (negotiated that with her, not "official" price). She stayed all night with me. This YMMV. I really hit it off with this girl even in the bar. Had to make excuses to make her leave the next morning. I guess my days of wanting them to say overnight like in the Rio heydays are long gone. From what I hear from others, the girls here are usually very pro. I would not expect to have the same experience I just did with the others. I think it's just that I knew a lot about her part of town in Cali, and she may have construed that as a "connection".

Overall, PEI is definitely not a mongering place. Not even close to MDE's quality and quantity. The regular girls? They are beautiful, alright. But, if you want easy pickings on that, go to Cali. Thanks!I went back to some reports of mine from 3 years ago. Dona Tere is 40 K for a half hour; and 50 K for an hour for the chicas. The room is included in the price. Drinks were 4 K. Beer and alcohol only, no soft drinks and no food.
Its a blue collar place for hard-drinking Colombian guys. Usually theres 10-12 chicas on premises with 3 rooms in the back.

My view on Pereira. Nice small city. Not that great for mongering. Even dating multiple girls can be difficult not because of their friendliness (they are friendlier than MDE Paisas, I think, though not chase you down friendly like Calenas), but rather the smallness of the city makes it easy to get caught. Went to Buga on a lark from Cali. Short bus ride, about an hour. The main thing here is the religious stuff. Impressive iglesia-basilica with lots of gold inlaid walls inside. An amazing statue of Christ nailed to the cross. El Senor de LOS Milagros.
Now the good stuff. I had heard of a monger scene in Buga. Found it a short walk from the church at Calle 8 and Carrera 10. There were about 5 girls there in early afternoon. This city is the worst I know in Colombia and I am not talking only about crime. It is a huge Comuna 13 if you know what I mean. Cucuta.
Finally have something new to contribute to the forum. Flew out to Cucuta via EOH domestic airport in Medellin on EasyFly airlines. Saved money on airport run to Rio Negro which usually runs me 60 k pesos. RT cost almost 200 us for last minute booking but more than 7 days advance can be grabbed for half the cost I paid.
Easyfly has turboprops with only foot space for carry-on, which must be small or they will check it in. My regular carry on bag I checked in as it did not meet their carry-on dimensions, wasn't space for it anyway. About 1 HR flight and EOH has a good variety of shops and food if you get there early. Security was quick and only about 5 gates which you line up when called then walk out to another holding area before boarding. Cucuta airport is bare bones so take what you need as not much there.
Stayed in Holiday Inn (70 us), which is new and safe / secure part of town. Lots of quality bars / cafes / casinos / malls within walking distance. The town has an Ave 0 (zero) which could be compared to ave Poblado but scaled down to a provincial city. The malecon (street along river) is also kicking at night and can be walked with walkway on the riverside of street and all business on opposite side.
I only had 2 nights to explore but got some good starter info.
Casas.
Nothing like Medellin. They open early evening to early morning, most only have 3 to 5 chicas with costs of 70 k for 30 min to 1 HR depending on casa. Drinks can be purchased and expect facilities to be like lower end casas in Medellin. When you ask Taxi to take you to one use "casa de citas". I headed out around 3 pm so saw a few doors but all closed. Still provincial culture here from my conversations with the taxistas. Nothing really gets going till nightfall. Only got one business card for "Oswald Club" in San Luis barrio, number 3133381618, its near the main church / plaza for the barrio. Door was opened but no chicas, walked in and cleaning lady still at it from the night before. Large sala house with rooms to the back, very basic with plastic chairs. All closed so cannot speculate on quality of chicas.
Nightclubs.
Here I was able to get some eyes on the product. There are many, which I was surprised by, I will list them in my order of least favorite to most favorite. All seemed to have same pricing of 80 k chica for half HR with room and 6 k for beer and 50 k for small liquor bottle whisky / rum. Not much of a stripper show at any of them but all have some chicas that will dance. Rooms are sparse and bathroom very basic with open showers. On weekends open till 3 pm.
My opinion only.
Officina Paisa: Small club with good a / see and decent chicas. Smallest club I visited and I could not move around. Only stayed 5 min, some pole dancing was going on and at least 10 chicas I could see with some attractive and no gordas.
Colegio Grill: A little bigger than the one above but not by much. No a / see so can be stifling late night as I went early then late. Good selection of chicas about 15 to 20.
Elite Club: Large club with large sofas, I like the space, felt comfortable here, another bar with good selection of chicas about 15 to 20.
Note: Colegio and Elite are like 1.5 blocks from each other, can walk it.
Simon's: Large club with lots of good seating areas and a / see. Good selection 20 or more chicas. Popular eating / disco area further down the hill so really all in one stop area, walking distance.
The exception to above is "Bahia Club", it is more upscale, excellent facilities and more on par with Medellin night clubs. It is outside of town on the road to Venezuela. Several car / love motels close by. Most of the girls I talked to were Paisas, I guess hiding out to keep family from knowing the work they do. All girls were doable to me and each girl has her own pricing but I was frequently getting 150 k per HR room included. A rum / coke was 12 K and small bottle of rum 50 k. Very laid back and exclusive feel. Nice pool area out back. The girls live on site and seem to all have positive attitudes. I went late so the chica count was low like 5-8 girls. My problem was that I did not make a reservation.
In the old days, when you booked online you paid more.
Not today.
Two problems for me was that I did not bring my passport, just the passport card, which they would not accept at Soratama Hotel.
So I stayed at the Ghl Hotel Abadia Plaza, which accepted the passport card.
But because I did not make reservation I paid US $86, instead of US $44 on booking.com.
Although I did use booking.com for the second day.
In an earlier post someone mentioned that they planned to retire to Santa Marta Colombia. I thought WOW this could be great, on the Caribbean side of Colombia with great looking white sand beaches. Planning my trip I decided to fly into Barranquilla and take a 2 HR bus ride to Santa Marta. I found an apartment on the beach with Air and wifi. Thats all I cared about. Off I go. The flight and bus ride were nice. From the bus station in Santa Marta I took a short taxi ride to my apartment. The building was a 8 story run down condo. My room was on the ground floor next to the parking lot. Nice fumes. The room was a storage room with a bed and ac unit. It smelled of mold and I said this won't do. As I walked to the street for a cab the desk clerk and cleaning lady started chasing me asking me to just try it for a few nights. I dove in the back seat of a taxi and said ondile ondile. The driver turned and said I do know what that means. I locked the door I said just get the F. Outa here. He took me to a close by hotel with AC. Eighteen dollars a night and a real dump but for one night I can live with it. After checking in I asked the desk clerk for a nice restaurant nearby she said we have nice restaurents everywhere. I thought this may not be that bad and as I walked away I looked back and said do they have air-conditioning. She said no senior no restaurants in this side of town have AC. Oh yea did I mention how hot it was. The weather chanell said it was 83 f but it felt like 111 f. The wax was melting off my shoes. The clerk called me back and said don't buy anything of beef. I asked why and she said most places don't have refrigeration.
Ok I have been to many small cities all over the world. I'm always looking for that great place that no one has discovered. This could be that place. Eventually. The beaches were some of the beast I have seen. I think ill wait a while before I try it again.

Ok I have been to many small cities all over the world. I'm always looking for that great place that no one has discovered. This could be that place. Eventually. The beaches were some of the beast I have seen. I think ill wait a while before I try it again.LOL. I think you meant "andele", which is more Mexican Spanish. If the beaches in Santa Marta are some of the best that you have seen then you must have not seen many beaches. They definitely don't have white sand, and the water leaves a lot to be desired as well. A good rule of thumb is to go to the places that have the most posts on ISG. I think that would be Medellin as far as Colombia is concerned. Also take a look at tripadvisor reports while planning your trip.

Finally have something new to contribute to the forum. Flew out to Cucuta via EOH domestic airport in Medellin on EasyFly airlines. Saved money on airport run to Rio Negro which usually runs me 60 k pesos. RT cost almost 200 us for last minute booking but more than 7 days advance can be grabbed for half the cost I paid.
Easyfly has turboprops with only foot space for carry-on, which must be small or they will check it in. My regular carry on bag I checked in as it did not meet their carry-on dimensions, wasn't space for it anyway. About 1 HR flight and EOH has a good variety of shops and food if you get there early. Security was quick and only about 5 gates which you line up when called then walk out to another holding area before boarding. Cucuta airport is bare bones so take what you need as not much there.
Stayed in Holiday Inn (70 us), which is new and safe / secure part of town. Lots of quality bars / cafes / casinos / malls within walking distance. The town has an Ave 0 (zero) which could be compared to ave Poblado but scaled down to a provincial city. The malecon (street along river) is also kicking at night and can be walked with walkway on the riverside of street and all business on opposite side....Thanks for the info but do you have any addresses?

Elite is 4-58 Calle 1 near the bridge.
All Venezuelan girls, 15 or so. Better than Venus. Mainly 8's and 9's. But pushy chicks who sit with you and order watery beer drinks that come with a token and the bartender gives them a new drink become they finish the old one.

First of all I'm sure you have been to many more beaches than I have. But I must say with so many posts on a sex web site you must spend a lot of time posting. Your right I have not spent near as much time on world beaches as you. Of course I did live on mission beach in San Diego for four years. I am sure that if you compared Brooklyn Coney Island beach to Santa Marta beaches, Santa Marta wins as the best beaches. But, compared to Santa Marta to most beaches in the Dominican Republic with the crystal clear blue and warm waters, then Santa Marta dark beaches are dumps.

Santa Marta has gorgeous beaches but you have to travel to get to them. The beaches in the Centro are basically garbage, no reason to travel for them. The Rodadero beaches are passable but nothing special. If you go into Tayrona, there are some stunning ones that are well worth the trip. Nicer than DR, IMHO, and not as homogenized as San Andres (though I do like San Andres and the ABC islands a lot).
As far as an alternate destination in Colomba, Neiva has beach and a bit of a scene. I have known several beautiful Paisas who went there to work on little two-week stints and stuff. Sounds more expensive than a big city (as opposed to somewhere like Armenia where you can fuck local girls for a sandwich) but it's a decent option for those sick of the same old stuff.

I had to read back to 2006 to find a report with a complete list of addresses. I was in Manizales only two nights. This was not a mongering trip, and unfortunately for mongering purposes Monday and Tuesday are not the best in this smallish city.
The three chica bars on calle 27 between carrera 23 and 21 are still open.
Taberna Oasis is at 22-47 calle 27. It is open during the day, from 15:00 to 0:30. It is a small bar with about 8 chicas at tables at around 5 pm. Price is 8,000 pesos for the room and 40,000 for chica. Did not inspect rooms. Beer was 4,000 pesos. I would rate chicas 5-6 at best, most appeared over 30.

The other chica places I located are strip clubs near the bullfighting arena (Plaza de Toros):
Club Joy is still there but was not open on a Tuesday night. It is on Avenida Centenario in the block before the bullfighting arena as you go down the hill. The address is calle 10,24-139 but calle 10 merges into the Avenida Centenario, which eventually becomes the Autopista del Cafe (highway towards Pereira and Medellin).
Cassa Show and Manhattan are next to each other, on Avenida Centenario, about 500 meters downhill past the Plaza de Toros. I stopped in both places, saw 3 unattractive girls in one and 2 unattractive girls in the other. The doorman at Cassa Show tried to convince me that more girls would come later (this was about 9:30 pm) but I decided not to wait.
Instead I got a taxi to Sabadell, which is a few kilometers down the Avenida / Autopista leaving Manizales, about 6,000 pesos taxi fare from Cassa Show (but only 8,000 back to centro). This clearly wants to be the high-end club. There was a 10,000 peso cover charge. The place was relatively dead on a Tuesday around 10:00 pm. Six decent chicas eventually appeared. Beer was 10,000. Cute chica's opening offer for 30 minutes in the room was 170,000, but then agreed to 150,000. The six girls were decent but not stunning, maybe 7's for my taste. They charge another 5,000 for a condom, this is the Spirit Air of strip clubs. On-site rooms are nice with beds and showers. Marcela, a blonde with big tits who told me she had worked at Pleyclub in Cartagena, was a great performer, albeit CBJ. They apparently have actual strip shows on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, but otherwise the girls just sit around staring at their cell phones.
All in all, not great for a first-time visit, but not bad either. Mongering here may be more fruitful at the weekend.

"If you are in Leticia, then mongering is not the reason why you are here. There are tons of excellent places in Colombia filled with gorgeous chicas and much better weather. However, if you are looking for a girlfriend for the night after exhausting trips to the jungle there are places you can visit here.
There is a place called Excalibur Bar, pink color, one story building on La Frontera (Internacional Ave) between Calle 7 and 8, right in front of the convenience store. There are two places with girls sitting in the chairs in front, bar and private rooms are in the back. It's a short walk from the hotel district in Leticia, no need for a cab, place is fairly safe, even at night. There are several stores across the street and a night food stall. You can also take a cab for 2-3 K from the center of Leticia, if you stay by the river. Talent on hand is mostly brought over here from Medellin and Cali to work for few months, about 10 to choose from, ranging from 4-8. Since there is not much competition cost are far higher than in BOG, it will cost you 80 K and there is not much room for negotiations.
Further down the street as you cross into Brazilian town of Tabatinga are few places on the left as you cross the border, but they appeared dodgy and unsafe. There is a huge local dance parties in Tabatinga if you happen to be there during the weekend, place is called Compra, if I remember correctly. Any cab from Leticia can take you there. 15 min drive for 30 K. It is for sure a sight to see, and if your Portuguese is good you might get lucky.
Stay in Leticia, on Colombian side, much more pleasant then Tabatinga. ".
"Gardenias, just get a city tour from a taxi driver (15 k COP or less) and he will drive you past it. I walked by one night (I was already occupied with a non-pro Paisa I met on a jungle tour) and there were about 20-25 chicas working and maybe 10 mongers. It is important to note that every bar / restaurant / nightclub here is an open-air outdoor affair without air conditioning, and the heat and humidity here is oppressive. ".

Thanks to WorldTravel and others for excellent lists and maps; there is not much useful info I can add. One useful bit of information is that there is a Citibank ATM on the first floor of the Victoria shopping mall, near the Juan Valdez cafe at calle 19 and Cra 11. The downtown area, unlike Medellin and Manizales, is full of people and seems quite safe at least in the earlier part of the evening (until 11 or so on weekends).
Star Club. Carrera 13, #19-48. Opens around 7 pm, but not much happening until later. The first strip show on a Thursday was at around 12:00 am. I paid no cover charge. The beers were 12,000 pesos. Nice selection of girls, maybe 15 or so. Many pricing options were offered. If you buy a half-bottle of guaro or rum for about 70 K, you get a naked lap dance for two songs. You can get a private lap dance for a price between 25 K and 50 K (I think they pay the bar 10 K and negotiate whatever they can with customer.) For a room the chica pays the bar 15 K. I was offered 80 K by one, and 100 K by another. The interior reminded me a bit of San Diego show in Medellin. No hustle, nice vibe, tip the waiters the equivalent of a dollar or two and they will be very helpful, bringing you girls you select. I was impressed by the quality of the chicas but tastes vary. Some fat some thin, some silicone some natural.
I also stopped by Flores Frescas and Dona Tere. What a contrast. Flores Frescas wants to be the high-end option. They charge a 5,000 peso cover charge, and drinks start around 15,000. Girls want 180,000 for 30 minutes in a room. Also offered were dances priced similarly to Star. There were about 6-8 girls on a Friday evening around 9. Generally attractive but no better than Star Club. The club is smaller than Star, and I was told the rooms are nicer, with jacuzzis etc. I did not partake because the house pig cornered me and told me her tales of woe for half an hour. I did see a stunner on my way out. There were fewer than 5 clients at any given time.
Dona Tere, on the other hand, was chock-full of guys, wall to wall. It looks like any other street-level bar. There were 5 or so chicas I could see, all of them quite cute, but the ratio seemed very unfavorable. I did not get an update on prices.

There's a place called lake Calima, a 2 hour drive north of Cali. It's a touristy area where a lot of Colombians seem to go on weekends with family. I met a girl who's now inviting me to visit her in her hometown, not far from lake Calima. So her village is not directly at the lake Calima, but a bit more to the north.
I have never been to Colombia, and before I go with my friends in 2016, I'm thinking about doing a short trip to the outskirts of Cali and see this girl. Looked into renting a finca for us, and prices are nice, especially with the weak peso at the moment. However, I have no idea of the current security situation in that area, actually Colombia as a country is still one big question mark for me.
If I go I'll go light and leave the address where I'm going and my travel itinerary at a friend's house, just in case something happens to me or I don't come back at all. At least there will be some information of where I went. Can't tell my parents where I'm going. The place also doesn't have internet so I suspect it'll be a challenge to contact anyone. Now you may be thinking "Is pussy worth all this" hehe, my answer to that would be "No, it's not". But I'll also be exploring the area, I like nature and love a good hike. So in a sense it's a relaxing / activity vacation in the hills, combined with good company. I'm an adventurer but that doesn't mean I'm irresponsible in my actions, so I'm trying to assess the risk (if any) and maybe some of you who know the Calima area can tell me a bit about it. General thoughts on this trip are also welcome from people who have been to Cali / Colombia or live there.

I also did a trip to Calima many years ago with a regular chica although it was just a day trip. Not worried about security, just want to know a bit about where I'm going. So far the webs haven't shown me there's any danger in that area, that includes your comments. As for the girl: I fucked her two months ago in a brothel in the Antilles. Had a decent amount of sessions with her including TLN's, going to the beach etc. During a period of three weeks. Instead of going to Calima I decided to return to that same island while she was still there to see her and others off course. I'm now on the island. Had some good sessions with her again, but also saw some other things I don't like. Jealousy is playing up and she's acting strange. She didn't say so, but I know she would like me to stick to her only, not going to happen with so much pussy around.

A friend and I drove in private car from Medellin, stayed Monday / Tues night. Highway route is good road, slow winding traffic at times due to semis. Took us 4 hrs with lunch stop. Renting apt via airbnb close to centro. First impressions are what Medellin might have looked like 30 years ago. Less noise, traffic and more space to move around in. I was very comfortable walking and talking with the locals who call themselves paisas as well. A lot already written about what's available but I would describe action like this, no casas like Medellin, the casas are turned into bars with plastic chairs / tables and nicer places have sofas and such. Two types I found with help of local girl I grabbed out of " Whiskeria Dona Tere". Day type casas / bars that open early like 10/11 am and close 8/10 pm and night type casas / bars that open when the day ones close and stay open till early morning. Prices are cheaper at daytime casas and the younger chicas seem to frequent the night time bars. Of course there are the regular chica bars / strip.
I agree with what's been written before on the places on the list / map and will include some notes from the few I liked most.
Whiskeria Dona Tere is a day time bar (not the hours posted before) and had that local bar feel, rooms are very small but half hour with girl / room is only 60 k. Good selection here and close to Parque Lago with lots of places to eat. Exit fee was only 20 k which I jumped on and my girl showed me some places she knew about. Not 2 minutes later they left and came to the bar I was at. I asked them what happened and they said they are asking ridiculous prices for drinks. Never entered. There was a 5 k peso cover that night.
Casa La Abuela was written under a wrong name earlier or they changed the name, "La Aula", same address, phone number is 326 6136, cel 3108219679, same prices. This is a daytime casa and a few doable chicas I saw the afternoon I went.
La Mansion de David, nighttime casa / bar located at Cra 8 No 28-77,3103831066 website mansionpereira.com, many roomed sala type layout of casa with sofas. All young girls and best selection I saw during my stay. Drinks were reasonable and chicas 60 k with room included. Take out 50 k fee and 100 k / HR to girl.

I just returned from a short trip to Pereira, Colombia. I want to thank Piano Player, Gonefishin, and World Travel for their reports and information.
Pereira has a population of 500,000 people. It is located between Manizales (400,000) and Armenia (300,000). Both Manizales and Armenia are about 90 minutes away by car. Also, Pereira is located between the major cities of Medellin, Cali, and Bogota and all 3 of these cities are located many hours away. Although Pereira is located between these 3 major cities, it clearly has the feeling of Medellin. There is even a saying that Pereira is a small (chiquito) Medellin. The looks of the people are clearly similar to the looks of the Paisas in Medellin as well.
I stayed the Apartahotel San Juan del Lago. Cra. 7 a. No. 25-34. The hotel is perfectly located in El Centro near the corner of Parque Lago and the location is easy to find. The hotel has between 15-20 rooms located on 3 floors. The one negative is that upon entering one must carry their luggage up about 25 stairs to the main floor. The property manager is Liliana Restrepo and she lives onsite. The online rate was between 100 k - 120 k per night but when I called directly (to inquire about the chica fee) I was quoted 80 k with no deposit required. The chica fee was 25 k. There weren't many hotel options in Pereira and the nicer hotels charged a minimum of a 70 k chica fee or more. BTW all of the rooms have different layouts so ask which rooms are available upon arrival and compare a few. I would stay at this hotel if I were to visit Pereira again.
I took the bus to Pereira from Medellin. 41 k. Online it said 4.5 hours with a 20 minute stop for food. In the bus station, they said 5-6 hours. Bus driver said more or less 6 hours. 6 hours and 20 minutes later I arrived.
I returned by plane from Pereira using EasyFly Airlines. Two prop engines and 26 minutes from takeoff to landing in Medellin. I attempted to purchase my ticket online using my credit card the night before doing a day trip to Manizales. Their system was not allowing international credit cards. The next morning I was forced to take a taxi to the airport to buy my ticket and the price had changed from 140 k to 190 k. The time and hassle of doing this cost me a planned day trip to Manizales. I would recommend the plane versus the bus. I would recommend the bus from Medellin to Guatape (2 hours) or Jardin (3 hours) but with the bus ride being over 6 hours was the difference making the plane a better option.

I stopped by 1-2 other places in El Centro that were not worth mentioning. There were some streetwalkers in the large parks in El Centro but I didn't walk through the parks many times and when I did I didn't see anything worth mentioning. I was told there were bars with hookers near the hot springs in Santa Rosa. The one driver I spoke with said the girls there were less hardcore but I never went to check them out.
A note to you guys traveling to Colombia: If you have a short trip I would not recommend Pereira. The major cities in Colombia have better infrastructures with many more mongering options than Pereira. For you guys who have extended stays in one of Colombia's major cities I would recommend Pereira as short 3-4 day side trip.
Note to World Travel: La Mansion de David needs to be put on the list. This is one of the most popular places in the city and was mentioned as such by Gonefishin.
Note to Jackson: Pereira not Armenia needs to have it's own thread. Currently Armenia is listed while Pereira and Manizales are not. Maybe a thread name Pereira / Manizales / Armenia. If I had to list one it should be Pereira IMHO. Just an idea. Do as you will.
