OK Nibs, here’s some follow-up.

Baeza: about the only claim to fame for Baeza is that it’s on the way to Tena from Quito. There is regular bus service. The road is sketchy though, especially from Quito – downhill the whole way. I only passed through so didn’t learn anything about the sex trade. The town seems too small to have much of a selection.

Tena: pretty small, but good-sized for a jungle outpost. The population is probably around 20,000, the majority of which are Chichua Indian. The town is divided into half by a couple of rivers, the Tena and another one that I can’t remember the name of. The northern part of town is cleaner, safer, and nicer. Plenty of taxis on either side

I didn’t survey the brothel situation, but opted to have a taxista guide me to a service provider. He took me to a residential house in a shanty neighborhood and knocked on the door. A guy answered, they talked, the guy went inside and a woman came out. I watched all of this from the car, but it appeared the guy was pimping out his wife or sister or something. But hey, who am I to complain? I had the taxista drop us at a bar so I could talk to her for a little while first. She was actually very nice and kind of shy, doing the semi-pro thing to make ends meat. We had a few beers then walked to a small dive hotel for a room, which cost me $1. She was very inexperienced and I felt like I had to romance her a little, with foreplay and the whole bit to put her at ease. I guess she had to justify the fact that she was going to fuck me. She even drew a little cross over her face before insertion. I didn’t even ask her what she charged, just gave her a $20 because I felt sorry for her. By her reaction of gratitude, I’m sure it’s more than she’d ever received before. Also, she looked Indian, but didn’t speak anything but Spanish.

I stayed at Yutzos, which looked like the nicest hotel in town, but was in the shitty south end. I also had a delicious trout pizza, I know trout pizza sounds awful, but it was the best fucking pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant but it has a large open dining area with a thatched roof, unfortunately, so do most of the places there.

Archidon: small colonial town by Tena. It’s got to be the misguided missionary capital of the oriente. No action here, just tons of bible thumping.

Misahualli: remote port at the Napo and Misahualli Rivers, much closer to Tena than Puyo. It’s nothing more than a tourism outpost for jungle tours and lodges. Your best bet here would be other tourists. I’ve run in to several females traveling in pairs but seem to never score due to me being alone, thus not having a companion to occupy the uglier of the two, and my usually limited time constraints. The bus ride from Tena is only $1.

Puyo: I’ve never been to Puyo and heard there’s nothing there. Although its large population-wise, there’s not much commerce and less tourism than, so there’s not likely ample services that cater to our kind of service needs. I guess you'll have to go and verify.

In Milagro in the province of Guayas, which is less than an hour away from Guayaquil there is a place called "El Barrio". It's a big brothel where girls stand at their doors waiting for customers to purchase their service. I'm not sure if prostitution is legal in Ecuador (it must be) but everyone knows about it. Just ask a cab driver to take you there in case you can't get there on your own. There you can find woman ranging from 3 to 8, some I might add are very cute and extremely cheap. You can get FS for just a couple of dollars. How to get there: As you come in to Milagro on the main road you'll make a left at Guayaquil ave. st. ??? Then you'll make another left at Seminario which is only a couple of blocks after you make your turn at Guayaquil. There is a school on that corner (left hand side) called 17 de Septiembre. You'll continue on Seminario for approximately less than two miles and you'll be turning right on one of those big streets at the end of the town. Sorry can't recall the name, but if you ask any kid in that area and they can point you in the right direction. Like I said, everyone knows about this place. Go there, have some beers and some girls for a very low price. Happy nunting!

I might be heading out to an area called manabi I haven't got the slightest clue where it is but, most ecuadorians I have heard form tell me that the horniest women in ecuador come from there, they also happen to be the most beautifull I can somewhat vouch for that since some of the hottest babes out here have told me they are from Manabi anyway any mongers want to report on that area post up. Hey Doom, Manabi is the Province that includes Manta and Portoviejo. Portoviejo is the capital, but is a dirty shit hole. Manta is a bigger town (approx 300,000) on the coast, has nice beaches, good restaurants, the only airport, and a US Air Force Base.

And its true, the hottest women in all of South America come from Manabi, but more specifically Chone, a small town about 2 hours by bus from Manta. (they are having a political crisis at the moment and everyone is on strike). Chone is famous for their women. Supposedly, a bunch of British pirates landed near Chone to bury their treasure, porked all the local women, and created a eden of green-eyed, olive-skinned beauties.

In Manabi, Manta is the commercial and tourist center. Nights are pretty lively, with lots of people partying, loud music, etc. For excellent seafood (the arroz con mariscos rivals the best of Lima) and to try to pick up local girls, go to the Playa Murciélago malecón, just below the Hotel Oro Verde. There are several walk-up only restaurants with good food and beer, with lots of hotties walking by. If you’re a gringo with short hair, they’ll think you’re in the US military and you’ll get several marriage proposals. Manta has a couple of brothels that you need a cab to get to. They’re supposedly just outside of Manta on the way to Portoviejo. I didn’t try them because I was having pretty good luck with the locals. Spanish is required as none of the chicks speak a fricking word of English. I met one hot, nasty girl that said she was a Hari Krishna. I tried to get her to hum the Hari Krishna chant on my nut sack, but she wouldn’t go for it. She fucked like a champ though.

I saw a few very good looking women around Manta; however, I also saw several butt-ugly fat chicks too, so I guess it kind of depends on luck and being in the right place at the right time.

The coolest beach town around is Puerto López, south of Manta. It’s a small fishing town with a good tourist infrastructure. From here, you can also take a boat to Isla de la Plata, which is also called the “Little Galapagos” because it has pretty much everything the Galapagos has at a fraction of the price. Women however are nonexistent (unless you count old hags on vacation and euro-trash hippies with hairy armpits that backpacked their way down).

I’m not sure I would try to get to Chone right now. Last week the pissed off workers blocked all the roads in and out of town. The gov’t had to call in the Ecuadorian military to try to restore order. Good luck.

There is by Mid Jan going to be the grand opening of a new strip club from Guayaquil in Manta it will be called "Juniors" just like it was in Guayaquil same "high class" style different city don't know how well this club is going to work out in another city but from my experience there is no professional clubs in the Manta area just some low level uncivilized "chongos".
All the women from Guayaquil will be going to Manta, however it's been my experience that this particular move will probably raise the prices for good looking chicas in the Manta I guess there is always a down side to every good thing.

Doombringer (or anyone else that is familiar with the coast), I was thinking about going to the Galapagos Islands, but the airfare from Quito is just ridiculous, so I have decided to just take a bus and go to the coast for maybe a few days or so. Where would you recommend I go? Manta, Esmeraldas, etc? Which coastal city has the best looking women, both pro and non-pro? Best clubs?Lots of Colombianas near the coastal cities? I´ve been told the bus fare from Quito to the coast is only about $8-10 bucks or so, which sounds like a good deal. If anyone has any info on the coast please let me know, I´m still a newbie when it comes to the scene here in Ecuador!

Well, I don't have seen very much activities at the coast. However always i'll take my chica to Manta, Playas or (which I prefer) Atacames: indeed the transport from Quito (7 hours in bus) is about 10 bucks. With Tame it's about 50 (half an hour from Quito to Esmeraldas). The hotels at the coast are normally very cheap but don't go at carnival o with othre fiestas.

hotel balandra at ave 7 & calle 20 is your best bet. cabanas, pool, clean, the works. if it's full (usually is during peek times), next best thing is the hostal manakin at ave 12 & calle 20. its an old house converted to a hostel and a couple of hot girls work there as clerks. no pool though.

taxis rip you off from the airport to town. you can't get one to town for less than $5. if you bus it to manta, the bus terminal is near down town, and taxis are about $1 to the hotels. or you can walk from the bus terminal. just head west along the beach, walk about a half mile, turn left at calle 20.

I just purchased a hotel on the beach just outside of Canoa in Manabi. For you who are familiar with the area, it is about 45 minutes drive to Chone. Chone is the treasure chest ofr Beauty. I am really considering making the hotel into a private mongering institution and am open for suggestions from any of you on this. It is my first venture in this area and do accept suggestions from fello mongers.

This report is by no means intended to be comprehensive, just a record of some of my impressions of a week spent there.

First of all, this city of 20,000 has a reputation for being dangerous. There are many Colombians there, and they are blamed for some of the crimes. I don´t really agree with this. Most of my tense moments did not come from encountering Colombians, but rather staying out after dark downtown in marginal areas. After a week in this country you should be able to see trouble coming and think with your head and not get drunk at night. Usually it´s whom they call the ´morenos´around here that you have to watch out for.

The Colombians do a good job at running many of the places of prostitution in a professional manner. You as a customer are not the target, and should not have any business conflicts with them as such. However, when they are crossed, they kill ruthlessly.

Now for the fun part.

Harem del Primo

This establisment is a giant chongo consisting of two adjacent buildings.
One building is U-shaped and the door of each hooker´s room opens to the open courtyard. In the courtyard sit about 100 men drinking beer. When a girl is available, her door is open and she stands outside by the door. Then you select the girl and go inside with her. Needless to say, everybody in the courtyard has a great view of you selecting the girl and going inside her room with her. There were only about 10-15 girls working, so this arrangement did not appeal to me. Next to this large building there is another large building, where the whole business is hidden from view and this building used to have better women. Unfortunately it was closed down already when I got there.

Can´t remember the first part of the name of this establishment, but it is said to have average looking women. I did not go inside it due to the fact that I was unimpressed with what is left of the Harem.

A little bit further down, at the entrance of the road to the Indian settlement, there are two chongos close by, one on one side of the street, the other on the opposite side. This road is at km 7 outside of the town. You can take a bus here or a taxi. It´s not recommended at night. I was there at dusk, and the place was already beginning to look sketchy as one black dude was asking for $1 in a nice manner, however, it wasn´t completely dark yet. I ignored him, went into both chongos, and did not see anything but average looking women, a couple of them morenas. Both of these chongos are in a black neighborhood, which in Santo Domingo means that you don´t wait until it gets dark. So I did not stay, like I said it was already sketchy to be there at dusk.

Prices. All of these places are in the $5-$7 range.

Did not go there but was told that it was okay.

I have seen several other chongos on the road from Quito, outside of town. It seems they are quite a ways out of town and the taxi fare could be substantial.

Well, that´s it for now. This place is mongers´paradise if you know Spanish and are street-savvy.

I am wondering if Santo Domingo de Los Colorados is still worth a visit. I had a pretty good time there in June and contemplating a return visit. I am in Iquitos, Peru now and the action in the chongos is pretty lame. Best action is through introductions from moto drivers or friends. It´s not the same freewheeling pro scene like S.D. de Los Colorados. Just wondering if SDLC is still worth a visit.

I tried to post here before, but it did not show up, so here goes again.

I will be in Ecuador from 10/17=11/1. I will mainly be in Quito, but would also like to take a bus trip to Manta for a day or two.

I would like ANY information on Manta or Tarqui that I can. Even on the mainstream travel sites information about hotels and local sights are very lacking.

I read that there is a USAF base near Manta now, so I would assume there should be some chongos and clubs around to help these guys spend their money.

Any information will be appreciated.

Well, as you can see, there really is no information here about Manta, not even a thread for the city! So when/if you go, you have to let us know how the action is there. The only info I have is what an Ecuadorian monger told me one day when I was in Guajira; he mentioned that there were a few places on the outskirts of Manta, he rattled off a few names, one of them was El Cielo or Cielito, didn't write it down though, sorry. He claimed you could get chicas for $5 there (that's right, five US dollars), this info is just hearsay though, since I've never been there. Doombringer also mentioned that a strip club opened up there earlier this year.

I'd like to go back to Ecuador next year, but to spend some time in the cities on the coast, so any info you could report on would be appreciated!

There are a couple of places in Manta. I made a visit to El Puente as I was told it was the best. It is about a $4 taxi ride out to it from center of Manta. It is out past the airport. There are several other clubs along the same strip. The ones I remember the names of are (but there are a couple of others):

El Puente
Night Club Amadeus
El Imperio

El Puente is open from 10 am to 11 pm. Chicas are $6. They have a strip show every hour. There were about 15 chicas there when I visited around 5:30 pm. About 70 guys. The chicas all stand in front of their doors while the guys all sit at tables in the middle. I was disappointed about this set up as I like to sit with a chica and talk to her a bit. But....I had a really nice and sexy chica there. Katrina from Quevido, 22 years old. Beautiful chica.

There are also a couple of places on the road out toward Montecristi - Strip Tease and Dreams.

So that is the update on Manta.

I was told by one taxi driver in Manta that there is a chongo (brothel) in Puerto Lopez. I thought the town too small to have one so I never asked when I was there. Lesson learned...never assume and always ask. So if anyone makes to Puerto Lopez it is worth asking a Mototaxi to take you there.

Yes, there is a place called Cielito, or at least there used to be. It was up on top of a hill in a poor neighborhood of Manta with dirt roads etc. Me and my friend used a taxi driver to take us and return a few hours later. I think I paid around 20 or 25 dollars, but I could have probably bargained down. But, I was a pretty inexperienced monger at the time.
Manta also had some decent looking streetwalkers that would cruise some of the outdoor cafes at night--toward the north end of town. It was a pretty mellow place and seemed like an easy place to get laid. This was about 8 years ago. Hope it is still good now.

In Cuenca there are about 6 places all next to each other along the same strip up on a small hill above the town. The names of the ones I remember are:

El Oasis
Los Tanques
El Candil
El Mirador

It is about a $2 to $3 taxi ride there from the center of Cuenca. I went to El Oasis as that was the one most recomended. $6 chicas and I was told by the bartender it is open from 9 am to 10 pm. There are only a few benches to sit on so most of the guys just stand in the middle of the room and the girls stand around the perimeter. The rooms have these green lights above the door that go off when you go in to the room, then when your time is up (15 minutes) they start blinking again and the the girl will tell you times up.

There were about 20 girls there when I went. I spent time with this beautiful blue eyed girl from the Manabi region.

Unfortunately I didn´t have enough time to check out the other places on this strip. I was also told that there is another place called Jorge´s in another part of Cuenca.

I am always choked that guys do not report their findings in a new city for it leaves subsequent travelers to have to find the same information again and again and again. So after delaying for a couple months during travel here is my report on Loja (southern Ecuador) for the three travelers that may get this far in the next decade.

During the trip from Quito to Loja I noticed a recurring pattern in each small town. As Civid's findings seem to confirm each town has a casa or two (or three ...) on the outskirts. In Loja it was no different.

The word "chongos" is the magic word; if you are only going to learn one word in the Spanish language before coming to Ecuador this is it. At the bus station I simply asked a cabbie "Where are the chongos?" He said about five kilometers out of town, quoting me $3 US for the ride. Pavement quickly turns into dirt road, streetlamps disappear, past two police guards and a gate, then a sign that reads "Zona Tolerencia," down a hill and you spot five neon-lit buildings. Welcome to the Red Light Zone of Loja.

The five clubs here are named Las Vegas, Manhattan, Escorpion, California, and Imperio.

Las Vegas is the busiest. Some fifteen rooms around a square seating area. It's a smelly shithole but oh well, you're in the sticks. $1.25 large beers. 600 penny chicas. "Hmmm, which one has the cutest face and biggest breasts?" I asked myself, as they all had big asses.

I picked Kathy of Manabi province, 22 years old, been in town for a month. Started with a BJ, to missionary, she stood up on the bed for some entry here, doggie, flatdog, side of the bed with me standing. She was good at pulling her legs back for pussy exposure. Back to standing on the bed, one hand on a tittie, the other on her ass, as she did all the work and fucked me. She bent over and I plowed her from behind to cum. Continued on into bar Manhattan. Found Mariuxi, 28 years, from Santo Domingo, who has a single child of eight years in Lago Agrio. 600 pennies. She lit a candle for room lighting. Need I say more?

Next afternoon returned. Found and screwed 18 year young Vanessa of Loja. Cute face but otherwise a typical chunky squarish Ecua-girl. 600 pennies. Loud and obnoxious in the bar she shied right up in the sack. I figured she would. I remember thinking it was a little weird to be fucking in the mountains in daylight as I am used to the big city at night (or in dark places).

In the early evening, while parked in bar Escorpion for a beer, a girl walked in that had me interested. Jenny of Loja, 18 years old. What luck -- two 18ers in a day! Very pretty face, slender. 600 pennies. I had expectations for this one. However, stripped down her tummy was wrecked from a recent pregnancy. Rats.

Didn't realize until the end there was sixth bar just up the hill called Enigma. It is the 'high class' establishment of Loja -- $10 a chica here. A slender 8 -- the prettiest chica to be found in all six clubs -- was present but by this time I didn't have anything further to give. Headed back to Loja for a morning departure to the border.

On the bus saw yet more fuckclubs on the outskirts of passing towns, including the border town.

Leaving Ecuador

Unfortunately I don't know if I will be allowed back in to Ecuador. When I hit the border (September) the guard made it apparent to me I had overstayed my visa by some 5 days. Figures, I can calculate a five month Capital Investment Report to the penny but I can't calculate the number of days on a visa. Fuck.

The customs guard, with passports and visas operating on a computer program, said there was nothing he could do to override the system. I needed to pay $200 US to exit the country. He showed me the government pamphlets for late exits so the one-fine-price was legit, be it you are five minutes or five days or five weeks late in leaving. No way around it.

Well, turns out there was a way around it. He told me to go get the Peruvian customs guard. They talked. As I did not have $200 US cash on me at the time I just walked out of Ecuador without an exit stamp. Paid $20 to the Peruvian officer to 'look the other way' (they operate on paper, not computer), voila, into Peru I go. Which means technically I am still in Ecuador and over my visa by some 3.5 months now ... and counting.

I asked the Ecuadorian consulate here in La Paz to see if I could clear the outstanding charge up. Nope, as they don't have the frontier/customs computer program here I can only clear it up at the border. Sooo, if I ever want to return to Ecuador it could be hit and miss as to re-entry ... bring a mittfull of cash with me and see what happens.

i agree with civid, im in 5 day trip in cuenca, only found the area know as "los tanques", this is over a small hill near the city, this can be too tough to explain how to get there so just ride a taxi and say "llevame a los tanques", every cab ride in cuenca is only 2$ to every non-gringo.

this area has 5 casas, some of them are

chicas chicas
el trebol
el candil
el mirador

this places are the eerie version of casas found in northern quito, with a heavy [CodeWord109] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord109) smell, so are not worth your time, but this area has the rule that the entrance in every casa is free, monday through thursday.

but the casa, that is worth the time of writing this report is "el oasis", has an orange wall, and i think of it as the improved version of 4033 touch me in quito, yes is that good, the place is cleaner, every room has its own bath, the girl quality is slightly higher than 4033, (but don’t expect fallen goddess) the beers are only 1$, and the fichas only cost 6$, yes every girl is only 6$.

there are a couple of petites, that made me scream "i cant believe she’s not ****", really small petites, the only bad thing is that photos are forbidden here, but if you’re near cuenca you’ll have to check this place.

Amazon region of Ecuador -- Lago Agrio, Macas, Puyo, Tena, & other smaller places :
Was told by a local that chongos do widely exists in the country's Oriente.
It certainly beckons pioneering for chongo discovery as much as many other parts of the country.

Ambato:
No chongos are permitted. In a neighboring town (or city) I was told one exists.
Can't recall the name of the municipality.

Banos:
No chongos are permitted. In the neighboring town/city of Rio Verde, I was told there is one.

Coca (Amazon area):
In the downtown area, across from the bus station appears to be a chongo. It's called La Gran Manzana or big apple. Several young & sexy women seemed to be hanging around inside and in front. There may be more in this town.

Cuenca:
The Cuenca government (like many other local municipalities) must regulate the chongos to certain sectors of town. The ones already mentioned by Civid and Friky00 are located on an unpaved road just one block up a hill from a heavy traffic principle roadway below. The places here are listed from higher to lower quality and were all $6.

All of these places were open when I visited in the early afternoon and none required a drink as an entrance fee as I wasn't hit up as I entered (though most I didn't stay). I did slim and curvacious "Melody" at Los Tanques whov would do anal for an extra $10, but without photos -- so I stayed away from that hershey highway.

Taxis are supposed to cost $1.50 (according to locals) from hostalandia, but the cabbies often will try to get $2 to 2.50 or more if you allow them.

Also for the adventurous Tungurahua types, there are some more chongos (maybe 2 or 3) in another sector of the city which I haven't been to but was told isn't as "safe" -- probably mostly due to the clubs not being open in the day.

Puerto Lopez:
This safe laid back coastal fishing village has three chongos according to one motorcycle taxista in which he took me to two (2) of them. Both were away from the central touristy area by a 50 cent taxi ride. One which is slightly north of the main streets and inside a building, the other slightly west and is in an outside courtyard -- both walking distance if you want. Ficha = $5, with seemingly no entrance fees. Both places had three women working when I visited (during the mid afternoon) but was told that up to eight or so would be there when it's busy. All ladies were young and pretty. While on my way to Manta from the beautiful Mindo cloud forest, I stopped over in S.D. just for the evening.
After arriving in the late afternoon, I checked into a hotel very near the bus terminal for an easy early departure the following morning. An early evening stroll around that area revealed that in back of the bus station and it's attached fenced in little park, is a small street with a number of little shops. Among them on the same block are four (4) bars in which the nightime darkness will all shine with green lights. While I only peaked in and noticed younger ladies appearing to be working with plenty of drinking male clients, one cute babe of the only not-so-busy bar met me at the door as I peared in and swore with a grin to my inquiry that these green lighted places were not "chongos". I hadn't asked around, especially among the cabbies about the chongo action, but a street bottled water vendor swore that the green lighted bars were chongos.

BTW, a correction to Siempre Adelante's #18 post in which he stated the population as only being 20,000.
According to the latest Lonely Planet Ecuador travel guide, it has almost 200,000 folks. Probably only a typo...

Was told 2 or 3 chongos exist near the train station (or possibly the bus station).
Some more in another sector near the edge of the city which is supposedly not as safe.

The other two said that there were only 4 and that they were on the edge of town. 3 of them were on one side and the other was in another section. The fichas were $7 up to $20, though the cabbies didn't seem certain. Supposedly, there are no entrance (first drink) fees.

Also, I asked them about the main northern border city and crossing point with Columbia named Tulcán. Was told that 3 chongos exist there. I didn't bother getting more details as they seemed less certain about a place other than their own.

While I was walking away from Centro towards the bus terminal, a women standing in a public market area asked me if I wanted a fucky sucky for $20. She was about 30ish & wasn't that attractive, nor was she repulsive. Didn't feel like haggling with her, but surely would have if I was horny without options. It appeared that there was room to have sex somewhere to the rear of some of the streetside mercado stalls. There are 2 public mercados (markets) next to each other there in the Centro area. Their street location is roughly Guererro at Sanchez y Cifuentes (one street name). The Lonely Planet guide suggests avoid the area at night as it isn't safe.

otavalo- I stayed at the indio inn (not indio hotel) very nice and they accept credit cards some of the hotels are gross in otovalo this one is very nice...rooms for $30.
About 3 blocks from my hotel was hotel las torres gemillas calle 31 de octubre y quiroga. Its a hotel with a bar either inside or right next door $12/10 chicas for 20 minutes.

Also there is a chongo on the corner of the bus terminal terreste when you arrive to otavalo. It has no name so ask around $10 for the chicas.
I recommend you try to get a bus direct to the bus terminal in otovalo or you will wind up having to switch buses in the middle of the highway like I did . . .. .Please feel free to add your knowledge to these reports.

There are at least 2 chongos. El Ternero is located towards the back of town going up the hill. El punto here costs $5! There were 5 girls working when i was there. 2 were quite hot. i didn't partake in any action and went to the other chongo.

Haren is located on the highway north of town on the far side of the gas station. El punto here is also $5. There were 5 girls here also and one really caught my eye so we went to the room. The owner of this club is a hot colombiana and apparently she isn't available but i'm sure for the right price...Beers are $0.90 in both clubs.

A mototaxi to and from any of these clubs will cost $0.50. Look for paco, who has mototaxi number 19. He took me to both clubs and drank beer while he waited on me- you can usually find him on the malecón.

Beware! There is no ATM in the town and the one bank doesn't give cash advances. If i'd had money i would've stayed longer.

I went to the beach town of Manta, 3 hrs. north of Guayaquil by bus. Travel around Ecuador and a high percentage of the hot girls you see working are from Manta and/or the Manabí Province- i figured it was a can´t-miss destination.

I was wrong. The beach is uninspiring. I didn´t see as many hot girls as in Guayaquil. The chongo situation is very poor.

I went to El Puente around 9 at night. There about 15 guys sitting around a large room and not a single girl. Finally, a ho comes out of her tiny room. There were 2 other girls and none were impressive. A guy working told me they had had a hard time retaining girls.

I found out why as soon as i left. A taxi driver informed me that there was a shootout there last week and 3 guys died.

Took a taxi down the road to El Imperio. It was packed with guys- probably 120. I saw about 10 girls. I got a few menacing looks from some guys. I left.

On the way back we passed a club called Amadeus but by this time i´d seen enough of Manta.

The malecón is a good place to walk at night to see people. The only girls I saw who were obviously hookers were old and sketchy looking.

The street called Flavio Reyes has all the nightlife but since i didn´t bother since i don't go to discotecas alone.

Here's the Portoviejo report. People will tell you it's dangerous but that's not true from what I saw. If you're into roughing it, stay at the Hotel Paris right on the main plaza. $4 for a room and you can bring in all the chicas you want- this is where local couples go to have sex.

Portoviejo has the hottest girls of any city i've been to in Ecuador. The city center is bustling and both of the city's plazas are currently under construction and closed to the public. I didn't spend enough time here to see if regular girls are into going out with gringos. There are 3 chongos, all a long way outside of town.

On the road towards Santa Elena, a taxi took me on the 25 minute/$2. 50 taxi ride to the community of Colon where 2 of the chongos are. The taxi driver told me he'd wait on me at the chongo for $5 per hour, but I opted to walk out to the highway and take the local bus back into town for a quarter.

It's $5 to impale any of the girls there. Oversized Pilsener beers are $0. 90. There were 6 girls at the 1st place around 3 pm, a 8, 7, 6, 6, 5, and a 4, and about 20 drunk guys. After a few beers, I chose a hot flaquita, who i'd easily rate an 8. I gave her a $1 tip for 3 photos. I went to the 2nd place, drank a beer, and left. If i'd had more time I would've stayed longer.

Note that both clubs in Colon are about 250 yards from to each other in the back of a field. To walk from one to the other I had to go through a banana grove and a campesino came yelling at me with his machete. Next, I had to go under a barbed wire fence so that route wouldn't be advisable at night or anytime for that matter. Walk back out to the main highway to get from one club to another.

I was just in Esmeraldas for a week but was working the whole time and didn't have a chance to run around and play. I wasn't impressed by the girls I saw around town, but I did see a club called "Las Minas" just outside of town.

Having spent a lot of time in Colombia, I must say that I am not at all impressed with Ecuador, but I also didn't have a chance to investigate much. In Colombia, Medellin especially, I will see 10 super hot girls walking around in an afternoon. In Ecuador, I saw maybe 5 hotties in 10 days. Depressing.

I did have a great $20 session with a hot blonde with huge fake tits at Cafe Rojo, right across the street from the airport, before leaving. I actually had to trundle all my baggage across the street to the club because the Quito airport won't let you leave the international check-in area once you enter. Recently spent the night in Machala. Stayed at the Oro Verde Hotel, which was deserted. Staff was friendly. Rooms ran about $100 for the night.

This is basically banana country down there. Very sleepy place. I believe girls from El Oro province have the reputation of being attractive by Ecuadorian standards.

There are a few chongos in town. We sampled two right down the street from each other, and not far from the hotel: El Huequito and Extasis.

El Huequito was dead silent. The entrance fee was $1, which got you one big, warm beer. There was a big screen TV with porn. One chunky Ecuadorian dancing lackadaisacally on a pole. One very fat chica that you wouldn't want to fuck unless you are into barnyard animals, which is fine if that's your thing.

We walked down the street to Extasis, which was much more happening. Good, friendly, Machala crowd. Some highschool kids out to lose their virginity. Beers were cheap. Colombian porn with a black guy sticking a tree trunk up a woman's ass played on a television, making people visibly squirm in their seats.

There was an excellent strip show in the middle of the room -- girls were really performing. Small rooms surrounded the stage. The girls were excellent quality, 7-9 -- most seemed to be from Manabi. My friend screwed a 19-year-old married mom from Chone -- $7 for 20 minutes. She could have been earning $150 in Guayaquil and more in the U.S. She was that hot. The girls would do outcall for $30-$40, probably all night. But my buddies went for the $7 shot and are still talking about it.

In summary -- Extasis was a very solid place filled with women who should be earning much more than $7. Enjoy!

The town of Piñas is a friendly little place located in southern Ecuador in the El Oro province. It is not a big town, but is large enough to have three banks and one chongo (according to the cab driver). The houses are all perched on the side of the mountain with the main streets following the contours and the cross streets steep enough for a roller coaster ride. The town reminded me of a mini San Francisco.

The place, called Nightclub Rosita, is on the outskirts of town ($1. 50 taxi from El Centro). There is an open air courtyard with tables and a small bar, with the rooms in a horse-shoe shape around the courtyard. 15 rooms in all with bright red hearts painted on them. A large Pilsner was $1. 25 and there was no minimum or entry fee. I asked the bar tender the price of a ficha and he said it was $5.

I was there on a Thursday night and there were about 8 guys and 5 chicas, ranging from about a 3 up to a 6 for the best looking one. The chicas did not mix with the guys but sat on plastic chairs in front of the doors of their assigned rooms. Everyone there pretty much looked like they were bored to death, and I think I sat there for about 45 minutes and did not see a single trick.

Finally I decided the 6 was as good as it was going to get that night so I popped a vitamin V and finished my beer, then walked up to the 6. She told me the ficha was $6 (not $5) but why argue at that price level. Who knows, maybe the price was $1 per point and I could have gotten the 3 for $3. Anyhow she gave me my money's worth for a 30 minute session and not much more. Covered BJ, no kissing on the lips, no touching her p***y, but pretty good straight sex, any style I wanted.

So if you somehow end up spending the night in Piñas, this is the place to go. You really don't have any other choice.

There are three fuck clubs near Puerto Ayora.

Amazonas is five or ten minutes out of town on the road that leads to the airport. Templo is next door on the side closer to town. The third is much further. Couldn't find it again if my life depended on it. My cab driver referred to it Banana Nada. It's real name is something like Banananal.

The Banana bar I didn't go into. The doors were wide open and from the outside it looked like a roadhouse type deal. Well lit with benches and tables. Not much of a bar surrounded by cheap stools. If there were sawdust on the floor it would not have been out of place. We could also see that the place was nearly empty. The driver seemed to be discouraging me from going in and I took the hint.

Templo is typical. Dark, small bar, stage with a pole, etc. There were only four girls I could see and they were not very appealing. I did not stay. I was not charged a cover. The driver said it costs $15 for the chicas.

Amazonas is the place I checked out. It looks more prosperous than the other two. It's clean enough and has a kind of cheesy disco feel to it. It also is well lit, has a pool table, and what I suppose is a dance floor. There are rooms in a hallway off the bar and in other buildings surrounding the parking lot. I was told that the women are from the mainland and change every month. The first one I chose, Andrea, from Quayaquil was no knock-out but not fat and a good enough performer. Standard fair. CBBJ and then bang away however you like to completion.

After the excursion to Banana Nada, we returned. The second I chose was much better looking and had a body I was dying to get my hands on. She had an unpronouncable name and was from a place I never heard of. She said she used to work at Cafe Rojo. If that is true it is easy to see why she doesn't anymore. A starfish of the first magnitude. I would not have been surprised if she had begun filing her nails and popping gum during the session. $15 for the chica. No cover. Cokes and waters, $1. Don't know about beer. My drinkin' days are over.

These places are clearly geared towards locals. My driver told me tourists rarely go here. This is no Pattaya experience and no english is spoken that I heard. To put it into perspective, I can tell you that when I finished with Andrea, she opened the door to the bathroom so I could clean up and there was a turd floating in the bowl. She said she was out of toilet paper, so after a cold water rinse I had to wipe off with the soggy napkin from my coke glass. She asked for a propina which was declined. The starfish did not.

The cab driver quoted me $2 one way from town to Amazonas. $8 to wait one hour and return. I paid more but I didn't have the info and we went to that third place. I don't see why a taxi couldn't throw in the hop from Templo to Amazonas.

I really liked this town, which is in southern Ecuador, Zamora-Chinchi province. According to one internet site the population of the whole province is only 16, 000 and Zamora is its capital. The only other gringos I saw there in 3 days were at the bus station passing through town. The people are not unfriendly, but they can't help but stare when they see a gringo in town, and as soon as you start to make eye contact, they turn their heads away like they are too embarassed to talk. There is only one bank with one ATM in the whole town, but there are plenty of places to eat and a VERY nice new hotel called Orillo del Zamora for $12 single including desayuno.

Okay, enough of the town. When I asked a taxi driver where to find the chica action, he said the only place is Las Palmas, which is about 7-8 km ($3. 50 taxi) from town, along the highway towards Gualaquiza. It has a center courtyard area (closed in, not open air) with about 10 rooms around it. The chicas are assigned a room and sit on chairs in front of their doors waiting. No minimum or entry fee, large Pilsner $1. 25, fichas $6.

I was there on a Friday night and it was really tough to get a turn. There must have been 25-30 guys and only 4 chicas. Well call it 5, one of them was big enough to count for 2 chicas. Anyhow the talent range was very wide from a 1 to what looked at first like about a 7, but turned out to be a solid 8 or better. The other doable looked to be a 6 or so, but was very lively and mixed with the crowd, while the other three just sat on their assigned chairs between sessions. Which was not very long as the night progressed and the guy-chica ratio got worse and worse.

I jumped in just as the 7 was finishing up with a one-ficha session. I was actually a bit worried that someone would get pissed off at an old gringo like me grabbing the best looking chica on a busy Friday night, but did not run into any trouble there at all. Once I got in the room with her, the strangest thing happened. She actually looked BETTER up close than at a distance. Very accomodating, thin, pretty face, not that worn-out look of most chicas in under-$10 chongos. The thirty minute session did me a world of good and I left with a smile on my face.

having left the chilly highlands of quito, i set my sights on machala, a city of 200,000 near the ocean. the town can be inexpensive if you want it to be with decent accomodations for $15 a night, but $8 will get you something spartan but clean with cable tv. taxi ride within the city costs $1.00

now for the chongos: the chongos are best reached by taxi.

this chongo is outside of machala, so the taxi ride here costs $2.00. by far the best chongo that i have been to. they have the youngest working women here. there must be at least 50 rooms arranged in a circular shape with an outside bar in the middle. the standard $7 ficha is the rule, but i negotiated a 30 minute session with a beautiful manabi babe for $15. and she earned every penny of it. in advance i negotiated an extensive bj session and all went without a hitch as things were agreed to in advance with no interruptions of pesky negotiations. her eyes are a hypnotic color of grey/blue with the typical manabi tan complexion. very slim, about 18 years old, maybe on the risky side of 18, but a definite professional.

my impressions: the exotic complexion of the women here remind me of brazil. one could spend a couple of weeks here and sample the women for sure. if you speak spanish it`s not dificult to get introduced to non-pro girls and you may not have to pay at all, but they expect some kind of a commitment to take them back to your country. so nothing is really free i guess, it depends on what you are looking for.

Every chongo I have been to they insist on condoms, which is a good thing, I use one anyway. However, bbbjs I have not asked for, so it´s unknown if they would agree to one. I agree with the earlier post on Pertoviejo. A lot of very hot women in the downtown area. I wasn't there long enough to connect up with any locals but there was certainly lots of hot stuff around. I've been to the chongos in Colon 3 times and the talent there is very good. At least one 8 in each followed by some 7's and 6's. They like repeat customers and mileage definitely increases. The girls seem to be there for a week and then return to either Quito or Quayaquil. $5 per go. BE CAREFUL walking between the two chongos. The first one of not bad because the road in is fairly short and there is some houses, a cemetery, a police post at the intersection with the highway. The second one is a long road with very little on it. I was chased by 2 locals who had designs on robbing me at 3 in the afternoon. Fortunately I can run quickly and I saw there intentions before they got too close. SO WATCH OUT on that second dirt road in. Probably safer to go via cab.

been in cuenca for over a month now and it's safe to say that the only place that you should go would be oasis, do yourself a favor and don't even try the other chongos in los tanques, what a waste of time.

last week, i headed to oasis but it seems that now there's a new rule that you must have id in order to enter, looks like too many **** kids go there to lose their virginity and oasis got caught by the cops.

los tanques is now a much safer place than before, there's a police station right across from oasis, the street is lighted and the doorman pats everyone, a much needed improvement.

the talent there is pretty much from manabi or guayaquil, not too many cuencanas as this is a very small town and the gossip runs rampant. girls run from 5-8 depending on when you go, during the week is very limited, i've noticed that on friday afternoons and night is when you get the most chicas.

the reason why i didn't like the other chongos was how the places were setup, it doesn't feel safe at all, plus the fact that i saw some blood on the sheets on some of the rooms was just downright discusting.

prices are $6 for 15 min, in oasis there's about 20 rooms, a stage for some strip dancing and two bars, the house has two floors, and beers ran for $1. i've had about 3 chicas at oasis, all of them open for suggestions in regards of positions, got cbj and mpos, did not ask for bbbj and you're definitely not allowed to take pictures there.

I have visited the excellent Chongos of GUAYQUIL.

I also tried some non-pro action in Guayaquil (GYE) with very little success. GYE is the largest city in ECU, it is the NYC of ECU. The GYE women talk extremely fast which is very difficult for me to understand in my semi-fluent spanish. Also, alot of them seem to blow you off on dates, when a bigger better offer comes along. Non-Pro action in GYE takes alot of persistence alot of flashy cash and alot of tolerANCE FOR BS.

Salinas is a distant third because I would be there mid week and it is not yet high season there. I have heard good and bad things about Manta. Riobamba has some good things said about it.Rio Bamba vs Manta

Very little comparison in my book. We call Rio Bamba "Frio Bamba" Because it is ALLWAYS COLD. It has the worlds tallest mountain looming up over it (who's going to bite on that? ) Now Frio-B is one of the most Architecturally interesting cities in Ecuador, has a beautifull town plaza and from one spot in town, gods willing/clear skies you have an AMAZING view of about 6 snow covered volcanos. There are some decent cheap hotels and restaurants there. I usually stay at the Hacienda Andaluza that is north of town out towards the Chimborazo Volcano if I want a nice place and whatever middle of the road place in town. The little mongering I have done there took place about 2 miles/km off the main road to the right at about the first redlight as you enter town on the Pan American Hwy from the north. I was showing some tourists around and we stopped in for a quick beer, found one so shiny I had to fuck her, it was about $8.

Manta has a nice costal climate, much better than Guayaquil (Guayaquil is not on the coast actually so it gets on sea breeze cooling effect). People on the coast are more open and liberal and the women are better looking. Plus you have the good Ecuadorian seafood. Mongered a little bit there for a couple of days and one night picked up a good looking 20 year old, real sexy, at a bar where ho's hang out. I liked the atmosphere as it was not a casa where the gals were lined up against the wall but a regular bar type place with a bunch of *****s! RIght up my alley, it is on the main street heading out towards the Airport/Base (imagine that) and had some sort of cowboy name. There are a couple of bars right there. Taxis will know the area. Then I did the BIG CHONGO on the road out past the base the next day during the day. Lots of cheap *****s there and a couple of good ones.

Don't know what you mean by white ones versus mullatto's? Sounds like you need to go to the US/Europe/Argentina/Uruguay/Chile. There are white women here, they are mostly well off or their husbands are and they are not about to screw that up by fucking a gringo that looks for $10 pieces of ass in chongos (-:

The military base is in Manta. It is a US base that they run AWACS planes out of. There are not very many Expat there and they have been there for awhile so most have probably got them a steady or two if they monger.

Don't recall what night I went but don't recall seeing any other gringos there. I went overthere had a few beers and talked to several of the gals. The banana capitol of the world, they say. But taking care of ones own banana is no reason to venture here.

That being said if you should find yourself here, there are a few options. The chongo system here is as uninspiring as it is any where in Ecuador. Full of gordas for $7 per 15 minutes. I admit to seeking to satisfy my curiosity about these places but that is the extent. Ask the taxi to go to Extasis where they have beer for a buck and about 14 rooms and chicas. Or there is a giant outdoor chongo with over 50 rooms but it closes at 6PM. What type of out-of-work clientele they are seeking to attract with those hours, I can only guess. I forget the name but ask for the "chongo muy grande" and I am sure you will get there.

Now for something a bit more useful.

On the road from Machala into Puerto Bolivar (10 minutes from Central) is a Korean owned hostel and bar named Extemo. They rent rooms for 10$ and have a bar on the first floor. The bar itself is not bad for just drinking and you can find 4-8 chicas milling around. You make the deals with them individually and pay the house $10 for the room whether you decide to use it or not. Also keep in mind that the house can go out and get you someone to your specification if there are only gordas in the bar at that moment. Good service and I always felt safe and appreciated. Go with $10 for the puta but I have gone up to $20 for the right quality of service. I will say that this is absolutely no reason to visit this area but it seems to be the best option so far should you find yourself here. Personally I would rather be in Lima or anywhere in Asia.

Actually the best option in Ecuador is to speak some spanish and talk to the local woman. Machala with 300, 000 people has barrios and barrios full of pretty-woman-wanna-bees with hardly another gringo in sight. The one thing that I have learned about Ecuadoreanas is that they are terrible shy compared to other latinas. They give you no clues and you must make the first, second, and fifth moves. But they tend to be receptive (to taking your money).

I do have a pretty one that I took off of the market (from Extremo). I will post a pic when the relationship winds down.

So I go to Cuenca on buisness on a sunday of all things, went with one of my roll dogs from the US we check into a hostal that costs about $8 a night with a hot shower and go cruising about 10 pm we ask the locals about where the night clubs where and they told us to come back on monday because everything was closed so we go to a well known area around "Terminal terrestre" which is a ground terminal the US equivalent of a greyhound hub and find SW the most disturbing thing about it is that is mostly transited by TV's, chicks with dicks and all sort of disturbing caracters the only girls I found in the area was a girl that charged $15 she being the only woman on the block got snatched up right away and could not come back to her because we were so busy trying to find more real SW that she eluded us I would recommend this as a place NOT TO GO to if you want a REAL woman.

I do not know WTF is going on in Cuenca but I went on the stroll on a Friday night we went to the famous "Oasis" it runs along Av. of Americas, the it turns on a hill there are about 10 "chongos" in the area, and like "calle 18" in Guayaquil there is police station smack in the middle of the area, so me and one of my dogs are hanging out eating hot dogs in the street so here we are hanging out almost finished and almost ready to hit the stroll. We are almost done eating and about to go when I see heavy police presence in the area and two minors getting dragged out of "Oasis" so the police get a little heavy handed and close down all "chongos" about 12:30 on a friday night they force everyone to leave the area and the party was over WTF. So I was still a little wrestless and went over to the stroll out on the terminal and guess what there were 90% chicks with dicks and 10% women on a FRIDAY night WTF.
I guess Cuenca is a more conservative city than either Guayaquil or Quito and about the homo part it's too fucked up for me too think about.

Continuing in Cuenca because of business allows me the opportunity to explore Cuenca's mongering places which are a little non-existent even though it's the third largest city in Ecuador. I finally went to the world famous "Oasis" with some of my workers it's one of the most fucked up places I ever experienced in all the time I have been mongering, the place on the outside has a structure that is esthetic on the inside it's a pastel color there is no entrance fee and the paint is in mint condition a first of any "chongo" in Ecuador the ceramic tiles gives it a regal look and the rooms inside are amazing considering is a $6 casa however, the place is a pigsty they appear never to clean the floor ounce a week if ever the chairs are plastic picnic tables and appear so burnt that people almost never use them so everyone is standing up a first for me a standing up "chongo" the women were nice but are not typical of the region most of them are from the coast or from Colombia.
Anyway the place structurarly is awesome it's even got a go go pole for the girls to dance if this stupid fuckers would just clean it up and organize it better it would be a first class club, then again it would certainly increase the price of the the bitches.

I was in Baños the last week of 2005. There are no clubs in town.

Las Cinco Estrellas is located down the road to Puyo about 9 km out of town. From there it´s up a little dirt path approximately 100 yards. The taxi ride there cost me $5. I walked in, told my taxi driver to wait, had a beer, and left. There were no other guys and about 4 horrid girls.

Then we went to La Posada in the community of El Placer about 15 km out of town on the Puyo road. There were 6 girls to be had for $6 a pop. Beers were $1.50. I went to a room with a girl from Guayaquil who had an amazing ass and after 30 minutes I decided I wanted it all night so i paid the bar $15 and took her back to my hotel in Baños. There are no taxis back to Baños but buses can be flagged down that come by every half hour or so most of the night. The bus back into town shouldn't cost more than $1 for you and the chica.

This girl was a pro and ready for everything from all angles. The next morning I gave her $25 and she left.

On a side note, the famous hot baths in Baños leave much to be desired. The murky water is chanelled into concrete pools which often become uncomfortably crowded with people early in the evening.

I cruised the malecon (main drag in front of the beach) - Over several days in Manta, I didn't find many attractive SW around. In fact, there weren't many SW either ugly or pretty. I saw a few skanky-dressed girls that looked like SWs. When I did approach and talk to them, they didn't want what I was offering. must not have been SWs

Non-Pro/Semi-Pro Action:

I spent many nights chatting up the girls on the main strip for bars/nightlife: This is a street called Flavio Reyes. There were alot of well-dressed, pretty girls. They all seemed to have plenty of money and weren't interested in any of mine. Maybe they were rich and/or had rich Ecuadorean boyfriends. I felt like I was in any disco area in the western world.

Pro-Bars/Sailor Bars:

East of the city center, on the malecon, there were two bars side-by-side that were frequented by sailors. Most of the pros in these bars were unattractive. Sorry, can't remember the names. They are on the malecon one block past the statue of the tuna.

Bargain Chongos/Brothels:

As a budget mongerer, Chongos seem to be your only safe bet for getting laid in Manta. The only problem with Manta, is that the two main chongos EL IMPERIO & EMPERADO NIGTH CLUB are on the outskirts of town.

EL IMPERIO seemed very promising. Not to dirty, not too fancy, your typical 7-8 chongo. It was quite large and roomy, perhaps one of the largest budget chongos I have seen in Ecuador. I am sure you can find what you are looking for there and at a great price. If you can't you can always visit Emperado, which is right next door. While kind of far out of town ($5 cab ride), I would pick this as my #1 chongo destination in Manta.

Well boys I'm in Manta now and its pretty ddecent mongering place if you know where to look.

To start off I'm going to spend a month or two here since I'm traveling up the coast of Ecuador. There are two chongos in Manta, El puente with alot of colombian ass for 5 dolllars, El Emporium up the road for $5 ass. I got a private 4 song dance and full sex after a negotiation. There are three chongos in Galapagos according to the crew of the boat I was cruising in. Amazonas, Courto Cuarto and Cuarto Y Medio. I didnt have time to check all three so I went to the one that most people in the crew said was the best, Amazonas. Amazonas is on the road that goes towards Baltra Airport. Its pretty far from town so you going to have to take a cab. The cab ride there was $3.00 one way. I got there around 12am. Now, I am not a picky guy at all and I reliazed that we all have diffirent standards about what a fuckable chick is , but that chongo was something out of that movie ´¨From Dusk till Dawn,¨ The girls were quite hideous looking. At the time that I got there, they were holding a raffle for having a sex with a chick for $1 a ticket I guess they couldnt find dudes wanting to pay retail for the pussy. This is strip club /chongo located on the outskirts of cuenca. Went there last month, I was told that it opens at 7pm and closes at 4 am.

Not sure how much a taxi would charge you but I'm guessing at about 5 or more, the cost to get in is $20 and you get a small whiskey bottle. The best reason I can think of for you to go here would be that all other chongos in the city close by 12 and I've seen cops harassing people by the bus terminal, plus there's always stories about robberies happening in that area.

I'd say that brisas is the safest place you can find in the city, security guard at the front door which remains locked at all times, you have to knock to get in and to get out.

Now the quality of girls there varies constantly, when I went there were about 15 chicas and 5 of them were colombians, I talked to a few of them and was told that they move a lot, so 2 of them were only there for that week.

Prices are set by the girls but start at 20, of course some will try to raise the price, the colombians tried for 40 (right) but talking to them for a while helps lower the price.

The place inside is ok at best, well no other place like this in cuenca, but that's not saying much really. a big screen tv playing 80's porn movies at all times, while the reggaeton music is blaring, there's a main stage for the strip dances and a lot of tables, the girls remain by the bar area until you call them over to join you. I found that they are not pushy to get you to buy them drinks, actually they were fine just sharing the whiskey bottle with me.

Each girl has their own room so they tend to be clean and not messy like the other chongos, you get 30 min with the girl and they seemed to be quite calm and not in a rush to get things done.

To take a girl out costs about 80 plus 30 fee to take the girl out, once again it's not cheap at all compared to $6 chongos.

Like I said, it's not the cheapest and it's not such a great deal that you'll want to hurry up going there, but it's a good destination when it's past midnight and you still feel like partying a bit, if you bring friends I was told then that the entrance is $35 for the whole group and you get a big bottle of whiskey, a pretty relaxing and safe environment and that's what I liked the best.

For anyone going to Ecuador, there is a new law for tourist visas!

We can no longer get a 90 day extension after our initial 90 days in Ecuador. Only Peruvians and colombians.

The only way anyone else can stay more than 90 days is get a 12-x visa. To get a 12-x visa within ecuador you will need an ecuadorian as your garantia and a copy of your bank account and a plane reservation.

I hear that if you go to Peru first you do not need the garantia (ecuadorian) but I don't know for sure. But I am sure of the part when you are within ecuador.

Opebo: the thought did cross my mind, but I am unsure if the passports being 'machine readable' contain previous passport information embedded in the coding like the 'lost' passport number -- I will do some research on that. Well. Yup, Tung guessed it; any 'machine readable' passport leaves data on your in and outs of every country you visit as you go.

By just slipping the passport into that 'machine' any custom can gain access to a page that lists your in and outs of countries on a chronologic basis.

All of it is saved in the global database, and yes, even if you 'lose' your old passport and get a new one they'd still know when you been where, if they want to.

On top of that, in the country you belong to (but I couldn't tell you if it also works for foreign country customs wanting to investigate your things, but I doubt it) they can even gain access to another page where all of your criminal records are saved, along with your ins and outs of prison and time done, plus other details about your legal status, present and past.

This repeats some information that I posted in the Quito section but may more appropriate here. I was just in Shushufindi and El Coca. Both are common cities to pass through on the way to the Amazon. I did not stop in but I am certain there is a monger spot in Shushufindi just as you are coming in by bus from El Coca. It will be on you left as you enter town. It is a one story building that might be a 1000 sq ft with a sign that I think just said "nightclub". Both Shushufindi and El Coca are oil towns where young guys have a pocket full of cash. I suspect there are several places like this in both cities. Maybe someone already knows about them or will be adventurous enough to try to find them. After a long bus ride they would make a nice rest stop.

Ok, so I haven't heard of this place at all, but it seems that it's been going on for under a year.

This a somewhat upscale night club, compared to the $6 chongos. It's located right next to the other chongs, but in the main street (Av. Americas) maybe a block or two from the other chongos.

Now La Piramide is open Tuesday. Sat 8pm. 3am (they may close early if there are no customers).

Entrance fee: $5 and you get a free drink

Cost: $50 or $60/hr if you wish to take the girl out. This time I chose the $50/pop.

Girls: I went during easter so it was slow, about 8 girls, normally about 15-20, ALL colombians and about 80% of the extremely hot, I'd say there were 7-8-9's, From what I was told, most of them if not all of them used to work at the Dollhouse, Extasis or 555, they were defintely top notch.

I went there this past Saturday at about 9pm, there were only 2 other clients and about 4 girls, by 10pm all of the chicks must show up (I was told) or they end up paying a fine, so by 10 there were 8 girls and the clients kept on coming (by 12:30 when I left the place was half full).

So I have to say that this is a welcome change from the chongos I've frequented in cuenca, even from brisas del Mar (I was told they had some colombian girls but the police raided the place so the quality went down). This is by far the best.

There's parking $1, and the guy at the door charges you the $5, you're then given a ticket and you have to go up a flight of stairs for the entrance.

The place is clean, spacious, lots of chairs and sofas to sit and relax, the drinks were not cheap, they go from $4 to $5, music is a mix from electronica, merengue, hip hop, rock. There's a dancing pole but I never saw anyone dancing up there.

As soon as you go inside and you get your complimentary drink, the bartender asks you if you wish to have some company, the girls are sitting around and you get to choose the girl you want to talk to.

I chose this magnificent girl named lana I believe, a tall, thin but curvy girl from Cali, and I have to say that it was a great GFE experience, I spent the next 2 hours just drinking and dancing with her, I never felt pushed to make the deal and actually it was me who had to ask her about prices and what not.

When we finally went upstairs, she gave me a lapdance and let me play with her, I gave her an orgasm first and then she went to work on me, had a nice massage and some playing around, this girl was definitely not in a rush. Multiple positions and she was very aroused, no need for KY or any other oils, moved with confidence and would have not cared that we spent all night just enjoying ourselves.

I am definitely curious if more folks go to this place. Seems very costly. The building reminds me a little bit of the facade of Guajira in Quito, except for the fact that it has a spiral staircase for entering. Not necessarily "discrete" for folks who might be interested in that. Av. De las Americas is a very busy street, and has plenty of cars going by. Your entrance will take a fair amount of time as you go up the spiral staircase.

Anyway, those are my initial insights. Other folks will have to do the interior scouting. Cuenca is a very small town of 350K, and, like I said, I prefer not to shit where I eat, or. Well, there's probably a better analogy somewhere.

My friend in guayaquil says she doesn't get sick when she goes to cuenca only quito. Maybe she is used to it. I believe cuenca is at 8200FT and quito at 9300Ft *roughly.

Has anyone felt sick in cuenca ? Do those few hundred feet really make a difference ?

I assume I would need another set of clothes for cuenca than for guayquil right ? Es mas frio por ahi.

Hey man, there are a lot of expats who retired to live permanently in Cuenca, so I'd say that the altitude is not that big of an issue.

I mean sure I came back to Cuenca after 12 yrs of living in pittsburgh, yeah I felt it when I walked up the stairs or walked for a while, that was it. Give it a try, see if it works for you, I really don't know what health conditions you may have so I can't assure you that you'll be fine in Cuenca.

I spent the last 35 days in Manta and Montanita as well as a couple of days in Guayaquil. This is part one of Manta. There will be nothing extremely juicy here as my girlfriend of 13 years has found out about my hobby and knows of this site. I did not post while I was there because I know she would have been checking daily to see if I was up to something. I'm only posting now because she probably won't look for it now that I'm back and most of the stuff here I have told her about (since I've been caught, I've been pretty open with her about what I find...I'm just not allowed to partake).

A lot of this has been sent to private e-mails.

Manta is a large city in Ecuador and has between 200,000 and 500,000 people...depending on the source that you go to. I stayed in an apartment in the central area, this is a pretty safe area and you can walk around at night without too much trouble. Avenida Flavio Del Reyes is nearby and that is where are the bars, discotecas and popular restaurants are. Manta is a large city and I went around to various locations but the safest are in the central area. Safety is a concern in Manta because there have been more than 175 murders this year, there are strip clubs and probably other places in the other parts of town where you can find prostitutes for cheap, but do you really want to put your life in your hands and risk robbery in search of cheap pussy, that you may never find?

Before I start, if you are a butt guy Ecuador is your place. I have never seen so many outstanding asses before in my life. The downside is that many of those outstanding asses had a fat gut attached to them, but there were many, many, many, extremely thin women with gigantic asses. It was almost heaven and probably will be the only reason that I return. Men here like the bigger women, which is an advantage for most of us, because the thinner women get ignored and are easy to get.

Bars - Nashville South and El Caribe, these are two bars next to each other that are owned by the same lady. She's a very sweet old lady, but she knows why people show up in her bars and she delivers. These are located on the Malecon between Calle 13 and Calle 15. Originally, I did not like these locations and most of you will not either. I like to sit, buy the girl a few drinks, talk for awhile and then when I'm ready to leave take the girl home and screw her. A majority of the girls there have no interest in anything but getting in finding a guy screwing him, taking the money and leaving.

There are between 15 to 20 regular girls that work there. Now matter what others say, these girls are not part-timers. A majority of them have that "I'm a prostitute and will rob you blind" look in their eyes. I avoided those and spoke with the other ones. Every female in the bar is for sale including the waitresses and the bartenders, with the exception of two. They are the nieces of the owner. You can tell who they are because one collects all of the money when the owner is gone and selects the music on the computer the other has very light skin and works as the bartender. Both are hotter than almost all of the prostitutes in there. You can probably figure them out by the fact that they will not let you get close to them, will not hug you and will throw you out on your ass if you try and offer them money.

Please note that I said, "offer them money". This is the strangest place that I've been to, because even though everyone knows they are for sale, most of these girls will not mention sex for money unless you specifically ask them about it. If they approach you and start talking to you or ask you to take them home, they are desperate. Lower the amount you are willing to pay for these girls appropriately. The cutest girl that I met there, I actually believed that she wasn't a prostitute, we spent hours together, we even went on a date. The last day I was there, I found out that she was also a prostitute and was simply waiting for me to make my offer. I was stunned because I was waiting for her to offer to go home with me, after meeting with her several times, I figured she was normal and was off limits (she also worked at the bar). She was the only one I wanted from there (with the exception of the off-limits bartender), and instead of wasting my time or money, I should have come out and said something.

The cost for these girls at the bar range from $10-$40. The prices have nothing to do with their beauty or what they are worth, it is simply what they believe you will pay. Every girl that asked a price for responded with, what do you want to pay. My response was always "gratis"...and we we worked from there. Another one that I thought was really hot...but she was pregnant... offered me $15 sin condom. Perfect price for me, she was beautiful, but the whole screwing a pregnant prostitute thing gave me the creeps. She was also concerned the price was too much. Another girl that wasn't a regular but showed up who was gorgeous and dressed perfectly...not slutty, but like a beautiful girl that happened to be in the wrong place. Started at $40 but instantly dropped to $25 when I showed that I wasn't interested in paying $40.

For the nice girls in the bar, the ones without "the look". $20-$30 is more than generous. For the others, pay as little as you can because they are going to try and squeeze every nickel out of you before you go. They will ask for a propina, cab fare, money for condoms, free drinks (if they want a botella de ron, run and run fast) and will try to steal your wallet. Many times when I spoke to these girls, I kept my hand in my pocket on my wallet. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, have change....lots of change. This is very difficult to obtain in Manta, I even went to the banks and asked for ones and they didn't have any to give. Pay for everything with the largest bill you have, one dollar bills and coins are like gold here and DO NOT give them up unless you have to. You will need them for the cab ($1 in the central area and no more than $3 to the outskirts of the city). No cab driver has change...ever. Most bars don't have change...ever.

Topi Tu Pizza - This is about 100 yards from Nashville South and El Caribe. There are working girls here but they are more expensive and in my opinion more attractive than the girls in the other two bars. The pizza here is fantastic but expensive (by Ecuadorian standards). The working girls dress nicely and sit at the bar drinking...unescorted. The place will allow them to stay, but does not encourage or want prostitutes, this is where you want to simply sit down order a drink and casually chat up the women. Women in Manta are VERY leery of strangers, so if they respond, they most likely are working. Again, be subtle here or risk getting thrown out.

As far as the local scene as meeting women. It is near impossible. Women simply don't talk to men on the street. In the bars and discotecas, women don't go unescorted and if they go unescorted (such as in groups) they are instantly hounded by the hundreds of men that have no women with them. Women do not buy drinks for themselves here. They simply sit and wait until guys buy them drinks. They do not dance or spend any time alone with strangers (the exception is Conga on Thursday nights). In a nutshell, it is nearly impossible to meet a "normal" girl for sex without developing some sort of relationship. I should mention that if you are under 35 and have blonde hair and blue eyes, the women will fight each other to get you. The "European" look is treasured here and the women love the men that look different from them. Also, many discotecas do not allow single men to enter. Most men here drink in groups and many of the places are really small. They don't want to waste a table that could have 5-6 guys drinking on one guy by himself. So to solve this issue, they don't allow guys to enter alone.

Conga Discoteca - One of the 5 or 6 real "discotecas" in the city, the others are just glorified bars. Thursday night is ladies night. All ladies get in for free and it's open bar. Men are $13. Many, many prostitutes on this night only, but you must know how to dance. Dancing is very important to the women here and if you want to spend more than 5 minutes with one, knowing how to dance goes a long way. Women generally outnumber the men here on Thursday nights about 2 to 1 until 2AM, then all the girls have to go home so their parents don't know what they are doing. This means you need to leave with the girls before 1AM. This is typical of almost anyplace you find working girls, they generally live at home and their parents don't know what they are doing, they will be in trouble if they arrive home after 3AM. So most have to earn their money by 1AM or they call it a night.

You can take these girls back to your hotel or apartment but the safer bet for all involved is to go to a motel. A normal motel costs $8 for an hour and $3 each additional hour. The clerk provides condoms at the register. Again, bring change because they won't have any. The girls that want to milk you dry will want you to take them to the "nice" motel which is $15, but you want the $8.00 motel. Ask the cab driver out front, the ones outside of these bars know what you're doing because they pick the girls up from the bar and take them to people looking for prostitutes all over town. A trip to the motels is on the bad side of town and once you get to the neighborhood, you will understand why I mention that you shouldn't go there to look for cheaper pussy. Cab fare is $1.50.

I flew into Guayaquil but I do have some information...During my trip to Montanita, I encountered several people that were robbed on several buses (from Guayaquil). I have been told since the first day that I began traveling never to ride a bus at night. These people all rode buses in the early morning or after dark and were robbed. They all knew not to ride at night but figured it was more convenient. One had $500 cash and his laptop stolen while the other had every possession that he had owned stolen. The others, had a small amount of cash taken.

I was with a large group of well-traveled Europeans and each one of them had a story of being robbed on a bus (or waiting for a bus) in Latin America at night. So I guess you should follow conventional wisdom and stay off the buses at night. There are flights from Quito to Manta if you don't want to do the long bus ride (my girlfriend did the bus ride a few years back and was terrified the entire trip...the driver had a hard time going down the mountains and the bus was out of control several times). The bus ride from Guayaquil is about 3.5 hours by bus. There are no flights from Guayaquil to Manta.

Everyone I spoke to preferred Quito over Guayaquil and in retrospect, I should have flown in to Quito.

After several attempts to go to the chongos in Manta, I found a cab driver that was anxious to take me to a chongo. The other cab drivers told me it was too dangerous and too far away to go there, but in the end, I found out that it is just out of the way and really not worth their time. They can stay in a small area and pick up a lot of fares in an hour or they can drive a person to the chongos pick people up there and drive them even further out of town. The further away they are from the central area, the greater possibility they have of being robbed, so for many, especially those with new cabs, they were not willing to make the drive. I met my cab driver on Sunday afternoon and he told me that I had to go to the chongos because the girls were much cheaper than the girls at Nashville South and El Caribe. Like everything else in Manta, the chongos are closed on Sunday, so he set up a time and place to meet me Monday evening; he was only 45 minutes late (that is a good thing).

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m not just looking for a wet vagina. I really do like to meet the women and talk to them awhile and actually like them before I screw them. I’ve been to Lima, but never bothered with the brothel there, I was able to meet girls on the Calle de Pizzas and take them back to my hotel for $20. In Guatemala, I spent most of my time in chongos, they were just normal bars with attractive women sitting around in them. A person would hang out, have a few beers, talk to people and when the urge hit, he would grab a girl and take her in the back room. In Guatemala, I would sit for an hour or two drinking beer and chat up the girl that I wanted, when I was ready, we’d go in the back for 30 minutes. Afterwards, I would stay and talk to other girls or hang out with her some more. Many of the Guatemalan guys would get the girls really wasted and then take them in the back and screw them, at first I thought that was pretty shitty of them until I did it once and I have to admit, screwing a drunk prostitute is much more fun than screwing a sober one (I now believe that this is true for regular women too). Anyway, in Guatemala, after one or two lays, the girl would go home happy as a clam because she made good money and would then take several days off of work.

This was nothing like El Puente. My cab driver and I showed up and the place was packed. When we pulled up there were guys outside begging my cab driver to take them home. This is something that is important to remember, because both El Puente and El Infierno are quite a bit away from all the other open businesses and there aren’t cab drivers sitting there waiting to take people home. So finding a cab back to Manta could be a problem. As we were leaving, there were many groups of Ecuadorian men walking down the road in search of a taxi. This is okay for them because almost all Ecuadorian men do things in groups, but for the American or European that is uncomfortable inviting their friends to a chongo, they are alone and I can’t believe that walking that street alone could be safe. Anyway, inside there were more than 100 guys (on a Monday evening) gathered in one large circular room. Around the exterior of the room there were 34 doors. Each door had a prostitute in from of it. Many of the guys had been drinking for hours and were completely wasted. The men outnumbered the women about 3 or 4 to 1. If a guy wanted a prostitute, he simply walked into the room that the prostitute was standing outside of, she would close the door and that was it. After the guy left, the prostitute would walk over to the gate, pay the house its share and then go back and stand by the door and another guy would get up and walk in. Over an hour, I was able to see every prostitute in the place but over that I hour I saw many prostitutes disappear 3 times. It was a busy operation, so busy that I felt sorry for the girls. I couldn't imagine having sex with that many people in a day (well, actually I could, but it is probably different for them). The attractive girls had guys lined up waiting for them. As I said previously, Ecuadorian men like a different type of woman than American men, they like them a little thicker, so if you’re into skinny chicks, you probably won’t have much of a wait. I did speak to one girl and she was just an absolute sweetheart and for the first time in years I felt bad. She was such a sweet kid and all I wanted to do was stick my dick in her for a few bucks. It wouldn’t have been an issue if she was mean and nasty.

Anyway, the cost for the girl is $7 or $8. I believe it was $8, but looking at my e-mails that I sent immediately after I went, they said $7. None of that matters because you will probably be charged a gringo surcharge. The girls do oral, anal and regular sex. Oral and regular sex should be the amount that I quoted above, anal should be higher. Unfortunately, with Americans and Europeans the price will probably be 1.5 to 2 times higher depending on how good your Spanish is. At the same time, because this place is so busy, your options are limited…yes, you can drive a hard bargain and refuse to pay extra but why would she even bother with you when there are 3 guys lined up outside her door waiting for you to finish?

After I left El Puente, I made a quick stop at El Infierno since it is less than a mile from El Puente and on the same street; it was pretty much the same thing. It was much smaller but the men outnumbered the women at least 5 to 1 and like El Puente, it simply wasn't my thing...the prices were the same but I didn't partake.

Probably the most interesting part of the trip was the ride home. I paid the $7 or $8 bucks for the cab driver to go with one of the girls...mainly because he was irritating me by trying to get me to go with the first available girl in the place instead of giving me time to look around. As we were leaving El Infierno, he stopped and picked up two of the working girls and gave them a ride home. As they got out of the taxi, there was a family waiting for a taxi, he picked them up and gave them a ride home. As they got out, he picked up another group and gave them a ride home. At that point, we were not only just outside of Manta, but were also way outside of Montecristi…another town/city quite far from Manta (probably not terribly far, but when you can only drive 30-35mph on the roads, it’s far). At some point, he was showing me the knife/machete that he keeps under his seat to use on people that try to rob him and it occurred to me that I was in the middle of nowhere, at night, alone and with a cab driver with a gigantic knife that was slightly nutty. My first inclination was to jump out and run, but I had not seen another cab for about 40 minutes, so I was stuck with him.

He turned out to be okay, but I have to remember that I have a family that depends on me and I probably shouldn’t be getting myself into situations where I can get killed. So even though I wanted to, I didn’t make any more trips out to the chongos.

My final comments on Manta and tips that I received from local men on scoring local girls…unfortunately, they all came 2 days before I was to leave town.

I am glad you posted this because, very few others have posted Manta trip reports. Also very few others have posted trip reports about finding non-pros. My experience in Manta was simliar to yours.

In 07, I spent several weeks in Guayaquil and 1 week in Manta. My results where similar in both cities: After sampling the local brothels and dropping my load, I spent my days wondering the streets and hitting on female shopkeepers, I spent my evenings in the bars and hit on the females there - I mostly went to bars on Avda Flavio Del Reyes. I am more interested in finding non-pros, and use the brothel action as a fall-back/supplement.

I am not a bad-looking guy and I am stylishly dressed and well-groomed, I didn't find the shopgirls in Ecuador to be too freindly or to be too easy to get into bed. I only scored with putas in the prostibulos. The girls in the niteclubs were even harder to land.

I wasn't too successful with hitting on non-pros. In fact, I would have been more successful in the states with the amount of time I spent hitting on women. (To be fair: in ECU I was hitting on 18-29 y/os and in the states I would hit on 30-39 y/os). Perhaps it was because my spanish was not yet up to par. It seemed to me that both Guayaquil and Manta were both rich cities. I stayed in the elite areas, and therefore spent most of my time in the posh areas, and tended to meet uppercrust women.

It is either that the culture in Ecuador is too conservative or perhaps I was hitting on girls in the richer areas and they were too rich and I had nothing to offer them. What I need are poor women, because I have something to offer them.

To find a budget hooker in Manta, these two bars are ground zero. I found the quantity and quality lacking.

I like spinners with skinny bodies, and many Ecuadorianas have ample bodies. Maybe there were 5-8 girls in each place. None of the girls at the tables appealled to me. The only hot women were the waitresses and bar staff. I fell in love with one of the cute waitresses. I didn't realize that they were also for sale. As I would have definitly brought one of them home with me. The girls seemed to arrive in Taxis and hung out outside these two places. None of the streetwalkers appealled to me. All were older and fatter. The Pizza place was dead.

Perhaps the quantity was lacking because I came at the wrong time of year. I am sure when the Tuna Fleet is in town that these bars are happening.

There are much much hotter women in the chongos (slender, killer bodies).

In Puerto Lopez could find three "Chongo". A "Chongo" is within the town (The Tercena). The other two "Chong" is the road to Jipijapa near a gas station (El Idolo and Tres Corazones). When I was (12H), "El Idolo" was closed and I took only a beer in "Tres Corazones"

so during my last few days in manta, my teacher explained to me how i can successfully meet women in manta. before i tell you of his plan, i will briefly go over how latin american women are different from american women (if you travel to latin american often, you probably know this).

first, latin american women are used to aggressive men pursuing them; if you want a woman you simply cannot be passive about it. i’m probably from one of the most liberal cities in the us and the quickest way to turn off a woman here is to chase after her. here, looking at an attractive women could almost get you arrested (“he was [CodeWord125] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord125) me with his eyes”). i have spent many years perfecting the “show interest, but not act interested” look and asking women on a date but not making it seem like a date. so for me, latin america is refreshing because i can actually act like a guy. unfortunately, 30+ years of dating women in my city makes it difficult for me to change from letting the woman think they are in control to aggressively taking charge. anyway, my point is, if you find a woman you like in latin america and don’t go after her, she will believe that you are not interested in her. if you see someone you like or are attracted to, you must walk right up to them and talk to them. a flirtatious smile will get you absolutely nowhere. admiring a woman from afar with the hope that she will notice you will only make her think you’re creepy. you have to put yourself out there, show interest, tell her that she’s attractive, tell her that you want to meet her later, get her for her phone number (if you give her your phone number, she will not call you…unless she’s a prostitute) and call her (no texting). don’t wait 3 days or whatever the rule is now, you call her that evening and immediately ask her out…if you haven’t done so already.

second, you pay for everything. there is no going dutch. you pay for her cab ride home (though real etiquette is that you ride home with her in the cab and then go back to your place). she will most likely bring a friend on the date; you pay for the friend also. if she likes you or feels that you’re safe, she will tell her friend to leave. so you must be nice to friend. in general, be cheap with the prostitutes but not with the normal girls. prostitutes will milk every cent they can from you; normal girls will be somewhat frugal with your money.

lastly, if you do get a normal girl in bed, don’t expect her to spend the night. she most likely lives with her parents and cannot be out all night. if she’s spending the night, you probably have a prostitute.

now, moving on to what i was told about meeting normal girls in manta.

the people in manta are social; very few people do activities alone. you have almost no chance of meeting a woman while you are by yourself. if you don’t have ecuadorian friends and can’t make any, you need to find other people to hang around with. you will not meet anyone if you sit or travel alone.

if you want to meet ecuadorian men, go to a busy bar and watch a soccer game…don’t watch, but participate. pick a side, pay attention and act like you give a damn who wins (just don’t pick the wrong side). buy drinks for the guys near you (c’mon, they are a buck) and you will suddenly have friends, learn their names and speak to them. from there, work on finding out where they will hang out or what they are doing on weekends and move on from there. more importantly, other people in the crowded bar will see you hanging out with the locals and will speak to you if they see you again. i’m a very good salsa dancer and i danced with an ecuadorian woman at a discoteca one night, we made quite a scene. for my final week, i was stopped on the street constantly by people who saw me there and wanted me to dance for them or wanted to know if i was colombian or cuban. once that happened, the more local people i spoke to, the “safer” i became. if i had only known that during the first few weeks, it would have been a good trip for me.

another way to meet local women is to go to the university. there are bars right in front of the main entrance and many people are there that are dying to speak english, but have no one to speak english to. at these locations, you need to play down your spanish and speak english (loudly) and people will speak to you and sit with you. i tried this the day before i left and it worked…unfortunately, people wanted to hang out with me and take me places over the weekend but i was leaving.

also, at the university, right inside the main doors, there is a tourist office. it is manned by students that are learning english in school. i was told that you can offer to pay a student to guide you around town and show you all of the important spots (including good bars and discotecas). this may not be what you are looking for, but to meet local women you must make friends and this would be a start.

remember the key to meeting local women that are not prostitutes is to have local friends; they will introduce you to women once they know you.

finally, i did not try this but was told to give it a shot. once or twice a month, the government gives out money to single, unemployed mothers. it’s only $30 but it is an incredible sight to see. the first day, i saw it, i needed change. i went to the bank and there was a line stretching down the block and around the corner. this line contained nothing but women that were there to get their money. in addition, there was a second line for men that actually had real bank business (they got priority). i was told to walk down the line and talk to any women that i thought was attractive. they would see that i was american and would be interested. it seemed a little to scummy for me, so i didn’t do it, but a british guy i met tried it and he said he successfully met several local women.

What I have found (from Colombia and Peru, not Ecuador, but probably similar), is that, for me anyway, I do not have to do a lot of chasing, simply say hi, how are you? My Spanish has gotten better over the years, and they will respond, and talk to you, they all want to learn some English. Having said that, while they enjoy conversation, that absolutely does not mean I am going to get laid now, or at any time in the future. They seem to especially like the fact that I am trying to converse with them, without acting like a hornydog within the first five minutes.

The one I have been with for a while has kind of worked out like that. We bang each other silly when I see her now (in Medellin), but it started from a hola, como estas?, and went to coffee, and went from there.

Absolutely true about the other stuff, by being nice initially, one will get integrated into a circle of friends. Showing an interest in learning Spanish helps a lot more, and you have to be willing to pay for them. It is certainly worth it in the end.

I like your use of the word 'liberal'. Certainly in the original context, liberal meant minimal government supervision, and freedom to choose, now it has transmorgrified into a state of nature whereby God help you if you look the wrong way at a woman. Where I live is exactly the same, if I say hi, I usually get a dirty look and they walk away. It is difficult to adjust to the life in Latin America, but I have somewhat been able to do it, and now, I just ignore all the 'hoes around here, they are absolutely not worth it.

At times, I had my children with me (yes, I brought my two teenage children with me on the trip...we all took Spanish classes), and I got the same reaction.

Once people spoke to me, they were fine but getting that initial conversation from a female was damn near impossible. All of us at the school had the same problem, we initially found it hard to get people to speak to us. The majority of us were surprised because we had travelled extensively in Latin American and never encountered that problem before. Montanita was exactly the opposite, I will write about it when I have time...

Most foreigners, especially folks from estados unidos, will have a VERY TOUGH time dealing with people in Manta these days. They just closed the air force base I think last month, but from first hand experience I can tell you that the military dudes as well as contractors have used and abused the local manta population for years and years. There is a very distinct disdain for US citizens that exists in Manta. Too many military knuckleheads lying and fuckin the local women and leaving them with babies. Do your research; you will find there are TONS of bastard US military kids running around Manta, with the father's being total jerks and cutting off communiction with the mothers. If you are going to monger in Ecuador, stick to Quito. Trust me on this.

safety is a concern in manta because there have been more than 175 murders this year, there are strip clubs and probably other places in the other parts of town where you can find prostitutes for cheap, but do you really want to put your life in your hands and risk robbery in search of cheap pussy, that you may never find?

bars - nashville south and el caribe, these are two bars next to each other that are owned by the same lady. she's a very sweet old lady, but she knows why people show up in her bars and she delivers. these are located on the malecon between calle 13 and calle 15. originally, i did not like these locations and most of you will not either. i like to sit, buy the girl a few drinks, talk for awhile and then when i'm ready to leave take the girl home and screw her. a majority of the girls there have no interest in anything but getting in finding a guy screwing him, taking the money and leaving. many times when i spoke to these girls, i kept my hand in my pocket on my wallet. also, very important, have change....lots of change. this is very difficult to obtain in manta, i even went to the banks and asked for ones and they didn't have any to give. pay for everything with the largest bill you have, one dollar bills and coins are like gold here and do not give them up unless you have to. you will need them for the cab ($1 in the central area and no more than $3 to the outskirts of the city). no cab driver has change...ever. most bars don't have change...ever.

topi tu pizza - this is about 100 yards from nashville south and el caribe. there are working girls here but they are more expensive and in my opinion more attractive than the girls in the other two bars. the pizza here is fantastic but expensive (by ecuadorian standards). the working girls dress nicely and sit at the bar drinking...unescorted. the place will allow them to stay, but does not encourage or want prostitutes, this is where you want to simply sit down order a drink and casually chat up the women. women in manta are very leery of strangers, so if they respond, they most likely are working. again, be subtle here or risk getting thrown out.

as far as the local scene as meeting women. it is near impossible. women simply don't talk to men on the street. in the bars and discotecas, women don't go unescorted and if they go unescorted (such as in groups) they are instantly hounded by the hundreds of men that have no women with them. women do not buy drinks for themselves here. they simply sit and wait until guys buy them drinks. they do not dance or spend any time alone with strangers (the exception is conga on thursday nights). in a nutshell, it is nearly impossible to meet a "normal" girl for sex without developing some sort of relationship. i should mention that if you are under 35 and have blonde hair and blue eyes, the women will fight each other to get you. the "european" look is treasured here and the women love the men that look different from them. also, many discotecas do not allow single men to enter. most men here drink in groups and many of the places are really small. they don't want to waste a table that could have 5-6 guys drinking on one guy by himself. so to solve this issue, they don't allow guys to enter alone.

conga discoteca - one of the 5 or 6 real "discotecas" in the city, the others are just glorified bars. thursday night is ladies night. all ladies get in for free and it's open bar. men are $13. many, many prostitutes on this night only, but you must know how to dance. dancing is very important to the women here and if you want to spend more than 5 minutes with one, knowing how to dance goes a long way. women generally outnumber the men here on thursday nights about 2 to 1 until 2am, then all the girls have to go home so their parents don't know what they are doing. this means you need to leave with the girls before 1am. this is typical of almost anyplace you find working girls, they generally live at home and their parents don't know what they are doing, they will be in trouble if they arrive home after 3am. so most have to earn their money by 1am or they call it a night.

you can take these girls back to your hotel or apartment but the safer bet for all involved is to go to a motel. a normal motel costs $8 for an hour and $3 each additional hour. the clerk provides condoms at the register. again, bring change because they won't have any. the girls that want to milk you dry will want you to take them to the "nice" motel which is $15, but you want the $8.00 motel. ask the cab driver out front, the ones outside of these bars know what you're doing because they pick the girls up from the bar and take them to people looking for prostitutes all over town. a trip to the motels is on the bad side of town and once you get to the neighborhood, you will understand why i mention that you shouldn't go there to look for cheaper pussy. cab fare is $1.50.

next up...

my first visit to a chongo.ok, where should i begin? as i mentioned before, i spent a little over a year working at the manta airbase a couple years ago, so i can kind of break this down from a perspective of someone who is not just passing through.

first, safety did not used to be such a big concern in manta as long as you weren't a complete knucklehead and being too comfortable. as long as you walk the streets like you know what you are doing and where you are going you should be fine. giving off the impression of not being an easy-target will discourage most criminals from messing with you; unfortunately too many foreginers get pissy-drunk and this immediately gives and easy target. also know that nowadays there have been reports of women slipping pills or powder into drinks. here's a piece of advice, and i know it will sound crazy because you are on vacation. but don't drink or get drunk! i know i know a party pooper, but if you must drink, stick to bottled beer. they are usually only a buck or even 50 cents for pilsner and if you even have a half of inkling that someone tampered with it after opened, buy another one with your cheap ass!

secondly, as i mentioned in a previous post, the city of manta is jaded by having a foreign military base shit all over their city for the last 10 years. so like you say, meeting regular folks these days takes some effort, spanish, and patience. trying to visit manta for a week or even a few days and get some non-pro pussy will be a futile effort. the women who used to mess with foreign guys ended up with bastard children and the local men dog them out tremendously for it. thus, other local women stay away from foreigners because they know that if/when they strike out with that foreigner, they will be blacklisted in their community and have no chance for an ecudorian boyfriend or husband. please believe, ecudorian men refer to all women, pro or not, as *****s/putas/prepagas/casafortunas if they so much be seen having a drink with a foreigner. you can blame the us air force for that.

third, conga. conga traditionally is not a prostitue hangout. i think that just recently (like end of 2008) it began being a prepaga hangout. you see, conga at one point was the only really hip club that was on the "base safe list" for the military to hang out. so thursday night at conga was known all over manta as the place to be if you wanted to meet and date a sponser, ie a us military or contractor (who is living in manta for some extended period of time) who you could possibly form a relationship and get a ticket out of ecuador. there was plenty of opportunity for healthy relationships with local women blossoming from there. unfortunately, too many of them ended with pregnancies and abandonment. but ever since the base started closing and there was less military, the local non-pros recognized that the long term possibilites were over, so they stopped going to conga. now the only prospects were men looking for some short term fun, a few months at most. thus, this is the realm of the prostitute, not the girl who is husband shopping as before. all the regular girls went back to begging their way back into the graces of ecuadorian men after shunning them for so long.

fourth, you really don't have to pay at nashville south! the girl who you dated those few times probably would have fucked you for free if you had just tried. my friends and i never paid at nashville, although i rarely went there. that's not to say it's the norm, maybe i was just lucky and the girls knew us and like us. and fyi, topi pizza sucks. there is at least 3 better spots for pizza in manta.

Went to Loja and visited the chongos areas, did not have much time to do much research so went to the most recommended place by the locals "kamasutra"

It's a nice place about 5km away from loja on the way to zamora, about 15 rooms, the girls stand in front of their rooms.

Ficha is $7 entrance free, if you drive then it's. 50 for parking.

There were about 4 colombian girls there, about 7/9 the rest seemed ecuadorians and a bit lower on the scale.

Went with daniela, a colombian with a great booty and wow was the service fantastic, as soon as I entered the room she greeted me as if I was an old flame that she hasn't seen in ages, very GFE and very flexible! Could not believe the quality of girls that can be found here, may have to go down there sometime soon.

So I arrived in Cuenca a few days ago and so far I found it to be one of the most boring places on Earth. Being Ecuador, I wasn't really expecting to stumble over a BJ-bar at every other street corner, but some hint of action sure would be appreciated, i.e. where are nice coffee shops where you comfortably can have an espresso (no, not Nescafe) or cappuccino while watching the world pass by, where are the bars where you can hang out for a beer, or something more substantial later, a strip-club would be nice too! I saw a couple of heavy-frame SW's on a street leading to the airport, though. One thing is great: With a fare between $2-3 for most trips within the city the taxis are cheap and the taxistas are friendly: They can take you economically from nowhere to nowhere.

Don't have pm capabilities so I'll try to be brief.

Looking for action, the best place is called hmm I forget the name, you see there's a street full of houses with "workers" (called chongos) the area is called los tanques, open from 10am. 10pm (mindnight on weekends), If you end up going there, ONLY go to the chongo that has private parking, called OASIS, it's the best one from them all, really avoid all others. Right below that street is the main busy street (las americas) there's a very nice (strip club / *****house) and I can't remember the damn name, it's got a Triangle sign in front, blueish garage doors, only open from 9pm on, but it's got some of the best girls you'll find. If you go to los tanques ask around everyone knows this place.

SW's stay away from them, they are pests in this city, you won't find quality, PLUS the area of the airport and bus terminal is the WORST area of the city, couple of guys got killed on new year's in that area, very bad.

Not sure where you're staying but look for places to stay near calle larga, it's the hot spot for bar crawling in this city plus it's pretty safe. There are dif types of bars, and not all of them are crap.

Coffee places, try cafecito near calle larga (has free wireless too) and the best one I love to go to, is called Sucre sale, a french owned cafe located in parque calderon, it's got the best coffee I've tasted in the city, and so far I haven't found one single dish from their menu to be bad, the guy is damn good and you will have a nice view of the park.

THE best restaurant so far in cuenca is called Bertuchis, about 20 min walk from downtown, just plain the best italian food in cuenca. There are many other places to try some decent food but hope these work for you.

In calle larga and hermano miguel there's an american bookstore called "carolina" ask her about other places to eat, etc she knows every single hotspot in the city.

I found out the hard way. Cuenca sucks for action of any kind. However, I did discover a bar near the large set of steps that cross the river to the other side of town. It was called Wunderbar and there were quite a few ex-pat and backpacker types hanging out there including some Euro girls who were learning Spanish in Cuenca. Beyond that, you are correct, there is barely a place to have a decent cup of coffee.

Things to do, well, you could take a bus to the old town that has the devil train to the bottom of this desolate canyon. There is also an interesting hat museum up the street a bit from the Wunderbar. You can buy authentic Panamanian style hats at this museum too.

Oh, and watch out for the old mustard trick at the airport.

In terms of bars I take my negative attitude back, to some degree.

Just came home from a nice lunch and cappuchino at Wunderbar, near Escalinata/Calle Larga. The place is run by a German, and you can have the typical German Weizen beers etc. This is a real nice hangout in an old brick mansion. I like Cafe Austria also, but haven't had food there. I went to the bar across from the Hostal Siberia also (funny! The Siberia looks like Archipelago Gulag). The corner bar there is nice as well. I would not touch one of those SW with a 10' pole, near the airport, actually they were across from the sombrero factory, besides, I don't have a car.

I followed Saeta's advice and headed out for dinner to "Bertuchis", Av. Unidad Nacional y Padua. The cab driver didn't know the restaurant but after I gave him directions it was easy to find. It's on the corner of the divided four-lane road, well-lit. I had Pan de Ajo (SIX (!) slices of grilled bread with just about the right touch of garlic, lots of cheese), Ensalada Cesar, crisp, fresh, and an almost perfect Lasagna de Carne. The bottom layer was just a little dry, but the taste was excellent. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend the place, even after just one meal. Thanks, Saeta! I would consider the neighborhood to be semi-safe; lower middle-class residential, single-family residences, townhouses, all built maybe in the last 15 years. Since you are close to the Remigio Crespo street area, I still wouldn’t recommend walking at night.

Afterwards I went to Calle Larga, the center section of that street is closed to traffic at night, causing huge traffic jams along the route. Police patrols Calle Larga on foot which gives some sense of security. But except for them, the area was almost dead. A few single souls were hanging out in the bars, not much more. Maybe at 10pm it was still too early.

I flagged down a cab to head out to Av. de las Americas to look for Saeta's strip-club, the taxi driver didn't know any "Tira de la barra, Club de Striptease", anyway we were cruising along. No luck, the street lights got fewer, we simply couldn't find the place.

This really sucks. Maybe I should go home and watch “Curb your Enthusiasm” on HBO?

Hey Frank, I found my own review about this place, like I said it's on Av de las Americas below the "Tanques" area.

If you go to the Tanques, you will see a very long set of stairs leading down to Av de las Americas, from there walk about 20 meters in the direction away from the city and you will find it.

Ok, so I haven't heard of this place at all, but it seems that it's been going on for under a year.

This a somewhat upscale night club, compared to the $6 chongos. It's located right next to the other chongs, but in the main street (Av. Americas) maybe a block or two from the other chongos.

Now La Piramide is open Tuesday. Sat 8pm. 3am (they may close early if there are no customers).

Entrance fee: $5 and you get a free drink

Cost: $50 or $60/hr if you wish to take the girl out. This time I chose the $50/pop.

Girls: I went during easter so it was slow, about 8 girls, normally about 15-20, ALL colombians and about 80% of the extremely hot, I'd say there were 7-8-9's, From what I was told, most of them if not all of them used to work at the Dollhouse, Extasis or 555, they were defintely top notch.

I went there this past Saturday at about 9pm, there were only 2 other clients and about 4 girls, by 10pm all of the chicks must show up (I was told) or they end up paying a fine, so by 10 there were 8 girls and the clients kept on coming (by 12:30 when I left the place was half full).

So I have to say that this is a welcome change from the chongos I've frequented in cuenca, even from brisas del Mar (I was told they had some colombian girls but the police raided the place so the quality went down). This is by far the best.

There's parking $1, and the guy at the door charges you the $5, you're then given a ticket and you have to go up a flight of stairs for the entrance.

The place is clean, spacious, lots of chairs and sofas to sit and relax, the drinks were not cheap, they go from $4 to $5, music is a mix from electronica, merengue, hip hop, rock. There's a dancing pole but I never saw anyone dancing up there.

As soon as you go inside and you get your complimentary drink, the bartender asks you if you wish to have some company, the girls are sitting around and you get to choose the girl you want to talk to.

I chose this magnificent girl named lana I believe, a tall, thin but curvy girl from Cali, and I have to say that it was a great GFE experience, I spent the next 2 hours just drinking and dancing with her, I never felt pushed to make the deal and actually it was me who had to ask her about prices and what not.

When we finally went upstairs, she gave me a lapdance and let me play with her, I gave her an orgasm first and then she went to work on me, had a nice massage and some playing around, this girl was definitely not in a rush. Multiple positions and she was very aroused, no need for KY or any other oils, moved with confidence and would have not cared that we spent all night just enjoying ourselves.

So I ended up going to Piramide last night, from what I understand they are open from 9:30 pm til 5 or 6am, $5 cover.

went there at around 11pm and the place was sort of empty, about 5 guys there, but there were over 10 girls, about 2 or 3 from guayaquil and the rest from colombia, this is also another reason why I like going there. I’m in Cuenca since last Friday. As others mentioned earlier, there is not much going on here. Although beautiful, it is a very quiet town, which virtually comes to a standstill on Sundays. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights lots of bars and discos are open with young and pretty girls but they are not p4p. No good for me as I’m past the age that I could pick up young and good looking non-pros. However, if any of you guys would like to try your luck, Calle Larga is the best place for non-pro action. My advice would be to take a hotel in that street as well as it is quite safe.

As I had been warned by the front desk guy of my hotel that Los Tanques is not safe at night, I decided to give Platino a try. I don’t have the exact address but it is on Calle Gran Colombia between Ordonez and Vega. When you come from Ordonez, it is on the left side of the road. There is a window with blue light and the word ‘Platino’ on it. They open from 9 pm until about 5 am, Tue-Sat. However, the girls only arrive at about 10:00 pm (at least they did when I visited, last Saturday). It is a very small place but it looks new. When I visited, there were only five girls, four of them Colombianas and about six customers. One of the girls told me that Saturday is always very quiet and that there are more girls (but also more guys) on Thursdays and Fridays. The girls available last Saturday were 6-7 and one 8 (in my book). The best looking one, a blonde from Medellin had a bad cold and was coughing heavily all the time so I decided to let her go.

Instead, I hooked up with another blond Colombiana (this one from Armenia if I remember well), named Andrea. She was very friendly and not at all in a hurry to go to a room. I was in the Oasis chongo last week. Couldn't try the other described clubs like Piramide because I needed to be back in town early. The choice of decent girls is very limited. Most 4-6. So it takes some time to spot a nice one. The place is filled with Cuenca guys, but they seem just to look and drink beer. First I met Diana. A nice flaca, mid 20, nice talking before and after, good service. No real GFE, but close. She got 10$ + 5$ tip. I returned 2 days later and she told me that she missed me yesterday.)

I wish I had found this forum when I was in Quito, but I am now in Banos. I am new to international travel and fairly green in the P4P scene. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on the scene here? Do any of these massage places that line the streets here offer anything more?

I am here in Banos for another few weeks taking spanish lessons before working my way south. I was working on a bartendress at a bar for a few nights this past week. I've never been a great pick up artist in English, much less a language I am just learning, but I'd like to explore P4P with non-pros, especially if there are no other options here.

I was intent on getting her to go out to lunch or something and then making an offer if she was reluctant to go forward. But she was non-committal complaining about having to work every night, preferring her own cooking, etc. At the time though she was clearly shaking it for me behind the bar and not dismissing me at all. Thanks in advance for any words of advice from anyone.Well, first of all it depends on what you're looking for, at Oasis you arrive, motion to a girl for a room. 15 min and then you leave, it's not a place to hang out at all! While in Platino you can hang out and relax, dance with the girls, talk.

Now of course prices are going to be dif too, Oasis will be $6, don't even ask for the price, just give the girl $6 as you enter the room, bring the exact change (yes it's a very mechanical straight forward issue). While Platino, entrance is $5, room with a girl for 30 min is $50.

What else, quality is also dif, big time. You might find some gems in oasis, but it's almost guaranteed in platino, and while in oasis a girl may have had 10 guys or more all day, in platino girls usually have 1 all night, or two at most.

I'd have to say with your language barrier, girls here I've never met one that spoke conversational english, so my suggestion is you try oasis, they open at 10am every day, go there early pick a girl, pay her and be done, not much spanish required for that.

Word of advice, DO NOT ever attempt to go find street walkers by the terminal terrestre area. 80% of them are transexuals and the area is a very high risk dangerous one, I wouldn't dare walking around that area even in the morning.

Thanks for the info, both of you. Platino or Paramide certainly sound more preferable, in terms of quality and comfort. I do need to practice my conversation skills big time. I assume it will be very noisy though (loud music) in Platino or Paramide, which won't help.

I am studying / staying at Gran Colombia & Cordero, which I think is a pretty short walk to Platino. Not sure where Paramide is, but understand from previous posts that they are pretty much the same. I suppose I will give it a go and hope I can find a girl willing to take money from a gringo that can't converse too much.

The Oasis sounds interesting and I would like to try one of those places (maybe wait until next week when I'm in Puerto Lopez?). I don't like to be too rushed though and taking a cab out there for 1 quickie doesn't sound real great. What is the neighborhood like there in the daytime (late morning). Is it possible to have a quickie, go have a cup of coffee or lunch somewhere close by and go back for another round before taking a cab back?

i just finished a 6 day stay in cuenca. i can see why the folks at international living magazine have it ranked one of the top retirement destinations in the world. great weather, good infrastructure, a safe feel, and just a generally nice place to be. even the water from the tap is potable, which i thought was amazing.

but the purpose of this forum is not for promotion but rather for reporting. so i'll give you my impressions of mongering in cuenca.

as i had dutifully read the forum prior to traveling to cuenca, i was prepared that it was going to be pretty much a wasteland for mongering. but thankfully there were postings about some low budget chongos away from the downtown area, and i ventured there during the day for relief.

gentlemen, the place you want to go is called the club oasis, located in the el tanques area in the highlands above the avenue of the americas. i went there 3 times, on tuesday, thursday, and saturday afternoons.

to get there, i would flag a taxi and say to the driver, 'el tanques, oasis chongo, por favor'. after saying those words, each driver would give me a big smile and wave me into the cab. i would then ask, 'cuanto cuesta? ', and found the taxi fare was anywhere between $1. 50 and $2. 50 from calle larga.

the first time i went, i was really nervous from having no idea what to expect what i got there. but you know, i had one hell of a time each time i was there.

here is the routine: after the cab drops you off out front, walk into the covered parking area and head toward the doorman, who is dressed in an orange polo shirt. he has a metal detector wand and checks each patron for suspicious metal objects. i'm guessing not a lot of gringos go there, because he had a surprised look on his face as i walked up.

but what was cool on my second and third trips was that he recognized me, and would shake my hand as i walked up to him. by the third day, oasis was starting to feel like cheers, haha.

he motioned me through the door, and i walked in. the oasis is divided into two levels. the upper level was deserted that day (tuesday) so i headed down the stairs to the lower level. no cover charge was requested on tuesday or thursday afternoons, but entry to the lower level on saturday afternoon required a $1 payment. after paying the entry fee, the bouncer motioned for me to put my index finger onto a red scanner device, which i am guessing records my fingerprint and is used in lieu of a traditional ink stamp for re-entry into the lower level.

each level is actually a large open area, with chairs rep001tered about. each day there were around 20 ladies present. as mentioned in other postings, the quality of the gals isn't real high. lots of 3-4-5 rated ladies, with an isolated 6-7. for those of you who have been to tijuana, the average lady there resembles the average tijuana street gal in the zona roja.

lots of really short and tight mini dresses with clunky 6 inch acrylic heels. i have heard that hispanic men like their women on the larger side, and this place did not disappoint. not a whole lot of thin gals in there. lots of what i like to call 'sexy chubby' women. gals who could stand to lose 40 pounds, but are dressed in such a way that gave them the look that drives joe's libido off the edge.

the really hot looking gals were quite busy. once one would re-enter the room after a session, it didn't take long for someone to flag her down and get busy.

now for the nitty and the gritty: on tuesday i selected a thick gal from columbia, aged 28. dyed blonde hair, with a pretty face. she was the only blonde gal i saw there the whole time. short mini dress and cute sandal heels. forgot her name, but it doesn't matter. regular patrons would probably recognize her because she was there each day i went.

when in the room, she put her arms around me and gave me a big hug. i took the initiative and started nuzzling and kissing her neck, which she seemed to like. i then moved my mouth to hers and surprisingly she kissed me back. after a few seconds i slipped her the tongue, and suddenly we were slurping away like two kids in a dark corner at a junior high school dance.

after shedding our clothes, we laid on the bed and started kissing some more, then she asked if i wanted to spend one hour with her for 'cuarenta', which is $40. for the life of me, i can't figure out why she thought i would pay $40 for an hour when i was going to get at least 15 to 20 minutes of her time for $7.

similar story to that with the columbian gal. covered bj, spirited boom-boom. she even brought out a plastic pan and washed my little friend when it was all over. i gave her a $1 propina and left.

grand total for everything including taxi = $13. 50.

gentlemen, if you go on a saturday afternoon, be prepared for it to be absolutely packed with guys. at 3 pm both levels were packed with what i estimated to be around 100 guys total, with about 15 chicas present. the hotties pretty much ignored me, so i was only getting visual interest from the much less desirable ones. so i decided to stick with the manta lady for a repeat visit.

once in the room, she informed me the price was now $10, which i attribute to there being so many more guys there that day. had another great time with her. grand total = $16. 50.

3 days. 3 fichas, total price $46. 50. cheap and fun mongering makes cuenca that much more of a desirable retirement locale.

Wow, you really got ripped off by those girls, it's always $6 no matter what, one easy way to know is by asking the guard at the entrance or the bartenders, anyone will tell you so, prices do NOT increase because it's the weekend, that's silly.

Simply put, they saw a walking ATM on you, next time don't ask for the price, just pay the correct amount. It really aggravates me that those women pulled that stunt.

Also, be careful who you talk to inside those places, most of the people there are thieves or hoodlums, not a good idea to make friends there in my opinion, the security guard has a metal detector for a reason, lots of criminals go there, be careful.

It has come to my attention that there is a new upscale establishments called Pole Dancer and is on the hill leading up to Los Tanques. There is a guard at a big rollaway driveway entrance the facility is excellent but expensive, relative to the norm for Cuenca. The ' door ' is $15 and that gives you 2 beer or drinks the girls are top notch 8 and 9's service is $70, but not sure of time. The owner goes by Caesar, friendly and safe facility the cops were in and out there appears to be a ' connection' with the owner a good thing, given the number of murders on the hill.

Went to Puyo in the Amazon last year and visited a large chongo called Las Vegas. It's located on a dirt road off the main road to Banos. The cab drivers know it. I was told that Wednesday is the best night since new Amazon women are introduced then. It's a large room pumping reggaeton. I recall it was $8 for 15 minute. I gave a gal $15 and was told I would not be on the clock.

On the far end of town The Volcano Bar is a bar that locals hang at to dance and watch football. There are some loose women there but watch your back for pick pockets.

I just reported on my stay in Quito, I then went on to Cuenca for a week, and had a very different experience.

After not really enjoying the cheaper chongos in Quito, I decided to stay up market in Cuenca and went to Piramide. Unfortunately I pronounced it with the accent on the next-to-last syllable, sort of like you're supposed to do in spanish, and the taxistas didn't know what the hell I meant. Eventually we got it sorted and found Pir-A-mide at 9:30, completely deserted. Just as we were leaving a truck showed up with the guards and the said it would open at 10, only 2 hours late! I went back to the hotel, and returned at about 11. I went in to see lots of nice girls. 7.9 standard, wondering around, and a couple of groups of guys ignoring them. I did what I usually do, and walked about having a good look at all of them, looking for one with a ready smile and a glint in her eye. I struck gold. I'm not going to give her name, sorry, but after she sat on my lap for half an hour I decided to skip the crap and bought her out for the night. We had one of the most sensational nights of sex I've ever had, she just descibed it as intense. I negotiated a discount rate to buy her out for the rest of my stay, got the Sunday for free, and we spent the whole time together doing loads of tourist stuff. I have some health issues which prevented us from quite touching the heights again, but it was still great. I'll be seeing her again at the end of the trip for a few days, and hopefully again after that. A very special girl.

Unlikely this information will be of much use to most but I took an out of the way trip to Guaranda, a small city on the eastern edge of the central Sierras. I am on my way to Banos but wanted to check out something different. I asked my taxi driver if there was a place to find girls and he said there was but noted it was Monday night so the place was closed. In the morning, we went to a small town nearby famous for their cheese and chocolate. On the return, he took me to three places with chicas. The first was your standard southamerican bordello with six rooms where the overweight and quite ugly chicas hung outside the room waiting for customers. I could not believe this but my driversaid the cost was $60 for 15 minutes. These girls would have to pay me.

Then we drove down a dirt road and I saw a spectacular looking location and what appeared to be hacienda located by a small river with waterfalls within a deep gorge. My driver drove me to the front entrance though it was closed since it was around noon on Tuesday. He explained that Colombianas work there there and the weekends were the time to go. Apparently, one can rent a room at this place for $100 per night and then negotiate with the girls for additional services. It is called Estasi (ecstasy in English). A few minutes away is another place called Las Vegas Club. It was a bit down at the heels though it was open, though only the Madame and one other fatty was on the premises. We had a beer and left. Again, my driver said weekends were best.

Not sure how anyone who reads the Ecuador board would find themselves in this area but there are places around here.

As a follow up to my previous report on Guaranda, I arrived in Banos a few days ago. It is a pretty town, almost alpine in nature, though it does not offer a lot night life excitement. I had read about a club near the road to Puyo, a jungle town about 45 minute drive from Banos, so I hired a taxi for the evening.

The name of the place is Las Vegas, certainly not nice by Las Vegas standards or most US or Euro clubs. The girls were mainly of the gordita variety. Some were from Colombia, others from the coast, and my ultimate selection from Puyo. The price couldn't be beat at $10 per 15 minutes or $40 for an hour. I picked the girl from Puyo because she was petite and pretty, about 20, and seemed sweet. They all kept rooms in the back of the club and we went there after some some minor chitchat in Spanish. When she took her short black dress off, I quickly discerned that she had had children, as it turned out two, and the body was already showing some wear at 20. She was surprisingly inexperienced and did not even know about the 69 position. After we left, I spent some time with her as the other girls in the club gave me the eye but really did not see anything that caused me to regret my original decision. For the money, it was not bad as she was cooperative but that's all I can say. However you also have to add in the $30 round trip taxi ride too so overall it was not that cheap. Puyo is close to a town called Shell, which was named after the US oil company so I am sure that at some point this club had US workers coming here.

My taxi driver told me that he could take me to Ambato on Saturday, another city about an hour from Banos, and he could find a TLN for me for around $100 but doubt I will take him up on it. I just don't think the quality is there in this part of the country.

Esmeraldas is a dangerous city, I almost got robbed in broad daylight on a busy street today. But if you happen to be there, the red light district is just a few blocks west of the central park. It consists of 4 chongos on the same block, pretty much all next door to each other. There is no feento come in, chicas are $8 for a no rush session. I went to Oasis today, as well as all the other chongos on that street. Although Oasis has the best selection there was something I liked in all the others as well. Oasis hours is 11am to 10pm, make sure you bring ID or they won't let you in, a foto copy of passport works. Prices are $10 for 15mins. Personally I liked the other chongos better, they are not as crowded and the girls seemed less jaded. Found gem at the chongo El Mirador all the way on the far end, a very cute 19yo from the coast her second day on the job. Only $7 for 15mins! And she was really into it. Her name is Arelis and she's there until next Saturday. Going back to see her tomorrow.

Recently visited Cuenca and popped into Oasis a couple of times on weekday afternoons (4-7 pm).

Cost is now $10 per session. Confirmed this with one of the bartenders, a taxi driver, and a local inside the joint. Taxi driver said it's been $10 for about 6 months or so.

As mentioned previously on this board, it's best to take a taxi there, at least the first time. Cost me $2 to get there from the main park. Parque Calderon. And $3 back. Once you know where it is, you can easily walk there since it's only about a mile from the center. It felt pretty safe during the daytime, but a bit sketchier once it got dark. I'm not sure of the exact address, but if you type "Cayambe Cuenca Ecuador" into Google maps, it'll highlight the very short street that it's on.

When you approach the club, you'll go through the parking garage, and the club entry will be on the left once you're inside the garage. A bouncer will ask for your "cedula" - show him some form of ID. He wasn't happy with the paper copy of my passport, but let me in anyway. The second time I took my driver's license and that kept him happy.

Once inside, there's a main level which was vacant this time around (but was being used when I was last there about 5 years ago). So assuming the main level is vacant, take the steps down to the lower level. There was no cover charge either time I went, but it's been reported here that there sometimes is. Anyway, downstairs there are some waiters wandering around, but most people just go to the bar and order drinks. A normal-sized "Club" beer was $1.50, and a bottle of water was $. 50. The vast majority of people get a large beer bottle and share it with buddies using plastic cups.

There were probably 30+ girls there, and they mostly just stood around waiting for you to approach them. I never got more of a sales pitch than some light touching as I walked past. I'd rate two-thirds of the girls as 3-5's, another quarter as 6's, and the remainder as 7's. You don't need much Spanish. You can just walk up to a girl and say "nos vamos" and she'll lead you to one of the bedrooms surrounding the main bar area. Lock the door and enjoy yourself. Pay afterwards.

I tried out three girls. Service seemed pretty scripted. All three started with CBJ, and then moved on to cowgirl fairly quickly. From there they all wanted to go to mish. That's all fun, but I then asked for "a cuatro" followed by "boca abajo" and they all went for it, so I assume that if you have a preferred position, they'll generally comply, but YMMV since what I like is pretty generic. One of the three asked me for a tip afterwards.

No extra charge for beer for chicas. 1.75 for a 750 ML beer. And the chicas are 10.00 usd per shot. Ask the taxi drivers to take you there. Just say the words chongos and they know exactly what you mean. Had an amazing time in these little towns and finding these chongos. My advantage is I speak Spanish but I am not Latino. Ditto! I was in Bahia last October and was informed by taxi drivers the only chongos were in San Vicente. After passing through San Vicente a few times on the way to / from Canoa, I decided to pass as it did seem to be a safe town. Really one of the poorest places I have seen in Ecuador.

However, Bahia (across the bridge) is a nice enough place to relax for a few days and a decent chongo would certainly improve the relaxation element so would like to know the at location, if it indeed exists over there.

It seems the only solid, safe and recognizable place to go to in Cuenca is Oasis.

I have noted in previous posts the only way to find it is to "type Cayambe Cuenca Ecuador into Google maps". When I do that, it brings up a marker on a street in Cuenca called Casa Santiago Montalvan. Is this the correct street? Any other tips to identify the place? For eg, does it have "Oasis" written in English on the front of the entrance? Any other tips / info appreciated, thanks.Just take any cab from the city centre and tell him to take you to 'LOS chongos'. Which means the brothels. Its about a 10 minute ride out of town, will cost around $2.

Its on a street with about 5 brothels.

Oasis is the biggest and most popular chongo in Cuenca, usually with at least 30 girls working. But it's also the one with most men. It's my least favorite. When it's packed you get to enjoy the overwhelming odor of stale beer, sweat and cum. But that's pretty normal for the low end Ecuador chogos.

Chicas in my experience give the worst service there.

Take your time and check out the other places. You can find the odd gem, even a Oasis.

The area is safe, some locals say it's sketchy at night, there was a gunfight there awhile ago.

I was in Puerto Lopez last night. There were 2 x Chongos not far from the Terminal Terrestre. On the same road. Either side of the road. There were 7 girls in one and 5 in the other. I sampled one out of each. They looked fairly seasoned although service was good. Of course, their rooms are not the cleanest (!) - and they were in demand. Business was good. Plenty of locals in both locations. I forgot my passport but didn't get asked for it in either venue. The Policia called but didn't check customers. Although a short time afterwards a guy working at one of the places warned me that they may come back to check ID's.

Service cost 10 dollars for 15 minutes. Beers were 2 dollars/beer for a large Pilsener.

Visited the Amazonas Club in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, Galapagos, whilst I was in Ecuador.

It-s a club about 4 km out of town. Just get a taxi USD 5.

There were about 6 girls and about 20 guys when I was there. Girls are 5's-7's IMO. Charge is USD 20 for 20 minutes. Rooms on site. Girls are Ecuadorian and Colombian.

Place is open from 530 pm to 2 am. I-the get there early to avoid being sixth or seventh of the evening. .

Nice enough place for a visit. Take your ID to get in the place.

Went to Club Chirimoya in Santa Isabel when I was in Ecuador last month. Really good place. All the girls were 8's or higher. $10 per session. FS and BJ, both covered. Adrian is the owner. Speaks very good English as do most of the waitstaff. Most of the girls do not, however. There is usually a floor show later in the evening that can get delightfully raunchy. I went there a few days ago (Wednesday) at 3 pm, no entrance fees, you pass the gate and reach a large open space with chicas lining up (around 15 chicas and as many clients).

Only one drew my attention (the only one slim actually). It's $15 for 15 minutes, room included. She gave a good service, friendly.

At the risk of sounding like Nibu Raphael with his incessant questions about mongering venues in obscure areas, does anyone have any experience or info on chongos around Banos?

I've RTFF for info on more traditional mongering areas like Quito and believe I'm well covered there (and much thanks to Doom and all the rest of you for that). But there are absolutely zero reports on the Banos area (perhaps because there's nothing there), not even any questions referencing it, which kind of surprises me because it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in mainland Ecuador (aside from any mongering) and I'm sure I'm not the only guy who'd like to know.

I did find ONE chongo in the area on Google Maps that's located about a 10 minute drive due east of town, called PUNTO G Nigth Club (sic) but little info beyond that (other than it doesn't open until 4 pm and is up a dirt road off the highway in the middle of nowhere, ie not someplace I'd relish driving to in a strange cab after dark w/o having more intel on it). I suppose I might just have to ask some local taxistas and report back if I find one I can trust and make it back from the trip if I go. I understand your point about the effects of covid. A lot of the old places are opening back up but for a lot of others that was the nail in the coffin and they're gone for good. Old info was never completely reliable but is even less so now (e. G. The Quito mongering map is somewhat helpful but is long overdue for an update).

As for going to places off the beaten path, I'm not exactly a complete pussy. For example, I've been to the former prison in Lima Peru that has been turned into supposedly the world's largest brothel, the Trocadero. That may not exactly be off the beaten path but it was a little tricky to find and very sketchy inside (and, BTW, HIGHLY recommended to visit as a "sociological" experience even if you don't wind up partaking).

I've also visited a couple of chongos on the outskirts of Pisco, Peru (accompanied by a local waiter we befriended) and one independently in Ica (on the outskirts of town but right on the main road into town). It definitely helps if you have a local you can trust to guide you (and I don't know about taxistas in Ecuador yet). LOL, and even if you think they're honest and reliable, you don't know if their standards of beauty will measure up to yours leading to a wasted trip (fewer beauties to be found in these small town chongos). Bottom-line: there's always some risk.

BTW, does anyone know whatever happened to that crazy fucker Nibu Rafael. He stopped posting in 2014 but I think he still has more posts on ISG than any other member (over 6k) many if not most of them on off-the-beaten path locations. Was he committed somewhere for psychiatric treatment or was he finally simply banned from ISG by the admin?

FWIW, a little follow-up research turned this info on that Baños chongo (admittedly very old, so prices and who knows what else has probably changed):

Punto G, Direccion Kilometro 5. 5 via al Puyo, Pasando la Repressa Agoyan, Tel: 0987897150. About 5 miles outside of downtown Banos, just past the dam on the way to Puyo. Look for the Punto sign on the left after crossing the dam. A great place to hang out and chat with some pretty chicas, some of which are from Colombia. New girls rotate into the club every week or two. Open 5 pm to Midnight -- Monday thru Thursday; 4 pm to 2 am -- Friday & Saturday, Closed Sunday. Optimal: 5 pm to 10 pm. $3 entrance fee (includes a large beer or water). $2. 50 large beers, $5 liquor shots, $40 liquor bottles. $13 chicas (20 mins is the norm). Stripshows on Friday & Saturday. Taxis from the center of Banos run $5; they will call you cab to go back to Banos if you need one. Usually 8-15 chicas are available. Nice house-lounge setup with music videos, a great sound system and plenty of room to dance with the friendly ladies. Private parking is also available. If you really enjoy the company of your favorite Punto G chica and she likes you, she may be able to leave the club with you after closing time, but a $20 fee is required by the house.

There is an area in Cuenca known to locals as "log chongos', any taxi will take you there.

Getting a taxi requires an app, ask the locals which apps they use (usually a local, even regional app) and get it. Hailing taxis on the street is not effective andd quite frustrating.

There are 3 large chongos in the 2 streets up the hill and a few smaller chogo / bars. Some open later afternoon when they open the chicas are already there.

Daytime game is quite good, lots of chicas, not many men. I made a video on my tourism channel that you may enjoy, hopefully you guys like things other than pussy but of course it would not be a hard day of work if the happy workers who got paid for said services, if they did not go to the "chongo" after a hard day of work, it has been a while since I went to a Boondocks chongo back in the day when I used to work security I had to guard containers in some pretty off the beaten path areas and had to go to some pretty fucked up "chongos" this country reminds me of some of the stories of the west that I have read that no matter how small the town there was a house with sex workers somewhere, so after we finished our happy labor we went to the small town of Samborondon, now here is what I found out while doing research for this happy report in Wikipedia Samborondon is listed as a town of 11 k people which is complete and utter bullshit either the census people are high or they do not know how to count considering the amount of idiots that work in government in this country I would not be surprised if it was both, I live in one of the gated communities in Samborondon since I am no longer dusty, however just in the gated communities there is like 25 k is not hard to count the average gated community is 500 houses every house has a family since unlike you humans that live in the west, there is a novel concept here people in house have families in them, something which is becoming increasingly rare in the US since women want to act out of pocket and men want to be whatever it's that they are trying to be now since there is no strong masculine father figures in our current cultural climate but I digress, so there is like literally 100 of these communities, Puntilla alone has 1000 families and every other area right next to it on both sides of the river is a gated community all the way up to Aurora and that is not even counting Ciudad celeste which is 30 gated communities of 300-500 families, add to that a construction boom because everyone is fleeing the City of Guayaquil a robust traditional farming community of rice fields and Cattle wrangling and you got much more than 11 k humans.

Now the city proper where the rich do not live is a small city I would assume no more than 5 k however these are quite productive humans someone has to attend all the farming and cattle in the community there is also I found out a thriving cowboy culture here, I have not seen a real cowboy since I live in Oklahoma as a small child many decades ago I doubt you find any in the state today, so the happy workers take me to their places of recreation and I found the experience interesting, small town chongos are kind of always the same they are all small, the sex workers are average at best, cheap you can have bareback since cowboys, fisherman, laborers are all extremely masculine and want what they want I would not suggest you try, would anyone really want a sex worker that does bareback with everyone? That being said it was an interesting experience it was wide opening to see men with leather hats or straw hats with a six shooters on their belt you heard me right six shooters as a former servicemen I find them quaint, they lack firing rate are somewhat heavy and ammunition is a problem revolver can only carry 6 rounds in the rotating chamber, but I understood well enough by looking at the humans that carried these weapons that my opinion of their gear was irrelevant except for the most important fact that it could still kill you, I would guess that about 20% of the patrons had weapons they seemed to be happy relaxing and drinking and obviously fucking this is not an open carry country yet you would not know it by visiting these places it was not shocking as much as it was unexpected I have heard about these types of communities but I have never visited them or one of their chongos did not feel any danger I was with the happy workers they are members of the community like I said it was interesting.

Small problem however is that we arrived at the area around 6. 30 pm and they told us to be done in 15 because they close at 7 pm WTF moment #453 of the day so the area has like 6 clubs back to back 2 large ones and 4 holes in the wall alot of sex workers but we have like 20 minutes to get shit done becase they have to close, when I asked why they close so early the management and locals told me that after certain hours there is incresed in gang related activities some narco dealers use the main roads to transport their illegal goods to the port of Guayaquil and because police HQ is so far away there is very little security another WTF moment, I was not even a little aware of this even though now I do this for a living then again it's not common for me to travel this far into the boondocks to get some entretainment but I can report that the girls there cost 10 whole dollars, cheaper than Guayaquil for sure, what I can say is that because of the price and patrons the sex workers were on a lower level that what I am used to seeing but there were some actual gems out of 10 girls perhaps 1 or 2 were extremely doable, So Mr. Manabi picks up an average girl I assume to get the party started he allways begins the day with one and ends with about 3 sex workers, so he pays for his session we take photos of all the locals on the outsied an we keep it moving.

We grabbed a 3 wheeled motorcylce that costs about. 50 cents each and we took it for 10 minutes towards an establishment called "la mansion" The place is amazing as usual, however we found out that they close at 8 pm and 9 pm on Saturday and this was Friday another WTF moment, this was clearly guetting out of hand I asked the guard who I have known for years, since when the change in policy la mansion was an establishment that used to close at midnight I got the same answer the "security situation" so since we had no choice we said fuck it, Mr. Manabi found a spinner an afro colombian girl this girl, was so thin that my hand could probably fit 3/4 of her butt cheeks my hands are larger than the average man but hey, this was Mr. Manabi's preferance that day, can't argue with that, he raved about her and said she was a delightfull performer I would have partaken but I am a certified security officer in the country and what I saw was not that inspiring also there were patrons in the establishment that was clearly packing, no judgment I am also a supporter of the second ammendment even if this country does not contemplate such ammendments, so Mr. Manabi was done with his mission and we got a cab back to Guayaquil the way back was probably 40 minutes Mr. Manabi felt he had a good time he still remember the spinner colombian as an amazing session I will have to put her in my "to fuck list" in the future, remember players a woman is never yours it is just your turn.
