Just thought I'd share an experience I had in Lima this past August.

Day 1: I arrived to Lima and stayed at the Sheraton near el centro. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and the area appeared safe overall. I've stayed there several time for work trips but this past August I traveled to Lima three days early to try to check out the monger scene. My first attempt was to hit up photokines. Needless to say, this was a big mistake. It feels like this website is full of bait and switch and fake pictures. Even the apparent verified profiles are fake. I called a verified provider, with the green check, and scheduled an hour appointment. It was supposed to be a Colombian woman, thin with blonde hair. The person who came to the hotel was a brunette who was 20-30 lbs overweight. When I met her at the lobby I walked her outside and gave her 20 soles for her trouble and said that I wasn't interested anymore. What a buzzkill. At this point it was already 11 pm and I was tired so I went across the street to play the casino slots and called it a night.

Day 2: because I wanted to make up from the previous night, I reached out to Geisha Academy. I saw a Venezuelan girl and thought to make an appointment. I used WhatsApp to reach out to the agency and the owner was super nice. Very responsive and clear in what services they provide. I asked for the Venezuelan 20 year old and he set it up. I scheduled an hour and met this woman outside in front of the hotel. She was exactly how she looked in the photos that the agency provided and her body was the exact as in the website ad. Reading old reports about the Pizza Alley streetwalker scene and the freelancer disco, it seems like Lima was once a great place to be. These days, Miraflores has pretty much been cleaned up. Lince is being targeted as well. Soon, there'll be nothing left but those darn nightclubs with fancy brochures that the multitude of touts likes sticking under your nose. I have spoken to my amigo Jockey16,and he has helped me a lot. Some things I would like to know are.

1. R+V The massage place on 9 Av. Canada. I always had a great time there. Anyone been there lately?

2. Las Cucardas It was my favorite spot in Lima. Had some great times there with my Wing Men.

3. Tequila Rock. I still have a old tourist pass from there LOL. Jockey tells me it is not good anymore there, but things change, and you never know.

As far as Pizza Alley. I have never liked it there, and as far as it has went down hill is no matter to me.

Funny I used to make my headquarters at Hotel Maria Luisa, but I found out they have doubled their prices, and are no longer girl friendly. Such a shame as it had such a great location.

Also I once went to one of Sly's party's. That was a blast. I hope he is in Lima when I'm there.

I got the bait and switch on a service and f'd up by not keeping track of the number. My bad. In any case, I'll most likely head to Tequila Rocks as I like to at least see what's on the menu. The other location "Las Cucardas" when googled pulls up a few different locations. Am I to assume a taxi would know where and what it is?

There are folks like John who like Miraflores and like to spend their money in a completely different way than you spend yours.

Others however:

- who like to stay in Miraflores will gladly pay the difference to stay in a better protected area where you can walk instead of taking any transportation.

- who like to take a lady to a nice restaurant before the deed instead of a hit-and-run such as in The Trocadero.

- Who like to bring a lady to their hotel / apt instead of going to a brothel.

So I headed out on my own last night searching down LOS Cuscardas to see what I could find. First thing to note, is that you are looking for the Las Cucardas, Ricardo Treneman, Lima District, Perú if you search for Las Cucardas you wind up in Las Cucardas San Martín de Porres and you definitely wouldn't want to go there. LOL.

In any case, I was staying at a hotel near the San Martin square and had no expectations on what I would find. I actually simply walked to the place, took about 30 minutes and I was just kinda checking the area out. I had no problems and never once felt threatened. Upon arrival it was easy to see the place and it looks like someone pulled it out of Vegas and dropped it in Lima; lights, lights, lights. Entry fee was 30 sols and they gave you a receipt and a condom. Guess that tells you something right there. They search you and don't allow you to bring in your cell phone which I thought was a bit odd but I left it with them (note: Recommend turning it off or not even taking it with you). In any case, upon entering the bar I thought I was in an indoor version of the red light district in Amsterdam. Their is a you-shaped corridor where the ladies have their rooms and the bar is at one the top of the you.

It was around 11:30 PM and there were plenty of ladies to chose from from 6's to 8's from my pespective with very few "thin mints" most were "thick and solid. " My timing was pretty good as I sat the the bar, ordered a Corona (15 sols) and a stripper was announced on stage minutes later. She was solidly built and did a fun show with chocolate sauce letting guys lick it off of her (a bit disgusting if you ask me. But who am I to judge). Around midnight things were starting to slow down so I walked the you and picked out the skinniest, prettiest I could find. It was 80 sols for the service which was done in her little room. Pretty efficient setup very similar to the rooms in the Red Light district in Amsterdam. Service was covered BJ and full service. The girl was welcoming and enthusiastic.

Once finished, stepped back out, grabbed phone, tipped the door man and there was a taxi outside; 25 sols later I was at my hotel. All in all a pretty decent gig but not my typical MO.

Got to Lima at 11 PM after a total of about 9 hours flight time.

I was really tired so after a short walk around Miraflores I turned in for the night. It has been almost ten years since my last trip here, and a lot of changes I have noticed. The exchange rate is around 31 soles for a dollar. It is really*nice to exchange dollars here. No need to show your passport, and wait for all the red tape like in Colombia. No money changers on the street like it was before. All exchanges are done in little stores all along Largo.

I talked to a few SW, and 300 soles was the asking price.

I took a taxi to Las Cucardas. The taxi charged me 20 soles. The ride back to Miraflores brought me a small problem. The cabs were lined up outside, and the price they wanted was 30 soles. I offered 25 ,but they said no to my price. I started to walk away, and they called me back for 25. At my stop I had not the correct fare so I gave the driver 40 soles. He gave me change for a 30 soles fare. I let him know he was a bandit, and cussed him out in Italian as that is my favorite way to let my displeasure be known.

As far as the girls in Cucardas they were for the most part a little on the gordita side. Entrance into the club was 30 soles.

My action is set up with Jocky 16. I have booked 4 girls with him. I have seen two of them so far. Both were GFE, and spent at least two hours with me. The main thing I liked was how sweet they were. Tonight I will see I think the one who looked the most attractive. She tells me she will teach me Salsa dancing.

If you stay close to the airport or to Indepenencia, you'll be close to one of the hottest P-4-P zones in Lima, which is the area around MegaPlaza in the limit between the Independencia and Los Olivos districts. Lots and lots of hotels, pseudo-massage parlors, slot casinos, discotheques and even street walkers, at roughly half the price of Miraflores. Just google prostitution megaplaza and you'll see what I mean.

With the Spanish you say you have, check the ad pages with location filters like photokinesiologas.com and look for girls in Los Olivos, San Martin, Independencia and Comas, almost all the outcalls from these districts will go to Independencia. In fact most "working girls" live in those districts and travel to Miraflores to "work".

Also, if you lodge in that area, you'll be within walking distance of the "Metropolitano", the metro-bus that will take you right to the new brothels "Las Sirenitas" and "La Colmena". I was surprised as I* thought for the most part the girls were better than the ones at Las Cucardes. I talked to a few and the asking price was 30 soles. I did not partake as I am only interested in GFE action. Even if that kind of place was what I liked I would not return as it is sure a long ride, and when you want to leave the taxi men try to charge you double what it cost to get there. Well that was the standard procedure when I used to relay on hotels and outcalls. The hotel desk would call your room to tell you that you had a guest at the reception and ask you if you wanted her to go up, so you could say no and have her wait for you at the lobby. It is not a bad precaution to arrange that in advance with the reception desk, just in case.

Another standard procedure was to pay "for the taxi" whenever you refused a girl. It might seem unfair to pay when it's she the one trying to cheat with fake pics or a bait-and-switch scheme, but that was how it was.

Nowadays with the flood of "working girls" and p¡mps from Venezuela, one has to be more careful because they are more likely of a delinquent behavior and some, effectively, try to threaten and scare you when you refuse a girl; I'd suggest to be very clear beforehand and warn the "dispatcher" that, if the girl that shows up is not the girl in the pictures, you will not accept her. That, and making sure to receive the girl at the lobby and not at your room door.

Well I had a very nice trip to Lima, other than the 3-4 hours going through Immigration nightmare and the 2 hour one leaving.

The first night I had booked with points at the Holiday Inn next to airport as my flight got in about midnight and thought I could avoid the trip into Lima and hit some spots on North side. As it turned out I didn't get into the hotel until 3 AM due to the immense line in Immigration.

The guy was not amused in the least.

Two: A couple weeks ago I went to a small no-chain pharmacy, far away from my usual mongering zones, and asked for "Tadalafilo generico de 20", the guy said he only had brand tadalafilo, as "Tada" from "Eurolabs". I was in a hurry and 11 soles would not make me any poorer so I asked. How much? The cost was S /. 12.50 (soles). Cheaper than generic! You can tell because the generic drug says "Tadalafilo" in the box while the brand drug has the brand name in the box. I've asked for "Tada" elsewhere since then but never found it again.

So this is my advice: Always ask for the generic drug, if denied, ask the price, if the price is not good (3 soles or less for sildenafilo, 15 soles or less for tadalafilo) or if they ask for a prescription, just say thanks and go to the next pharmacy.

Venturing away from Miraflores with no command of Spanish requires a wingman or a trusted taxi driver, even more so in the Independencia / LOS Olivos area.

Regarding safety; there are no hotels in Independencia that I can recommend save, maybe, the Royal Inn Suites Spa Hotel in Calle LOS Andes but, just across the Avenida Alfredo Mendiola (Panamericana Highway) in LOS Olivos, more precisely in Jiron Carlos Salaverry, there are several nice ones. You can check Hotel King Palace, Hotel Asturias or MVH Hotel and, a couple blocks further away in Calle Gonzales Vigil, Hotel Las Palmeras. Any of them is safe enough and you can easily google them out by adding "LOS Olivos" to the hotel name, but I seriously doubt you will find an English-speaking hotel clerk there. Another downside is that every hotel in that area aims for the P 4 P business, so there will be the noise of couples coming and going and having sex all day and all night.

And, if despite DownUnderMonger's and my advice on the contrary, you decide to lodge in the Independencia / LOS Olivos area, don't miss going to "El Aguajal" or "La Choza de la Anaconda" restaurants, both within walking distance from any of the hotels I've mentioned. There are very few good restaurants serving Amazonian food in Lima and these two are the best I know; Amazonian cuisine is very hard to get right and very easy to dislike if not well done, these are the only two restaurants in Lima where I go when I'm in the mood for Amazonian food. Try juane de gallina, patarashca de paiche (or any other river fish), tacacho con cecina, inchicapi de gallina (a typical Amazonian soup). And, to drink (non alcoholic), camu-camu or cocona juice; avoid "aguajina" (aguaje juice), it tastes great but it smells awful. You can google any and all of these dishes if you want to investigate before making up your mind.

Have a safe trip ans a nice stay in Lima.

Hey everybody, short time reader first time poster. This website seems to have solid tips for how to monger in Lima, thank you for what this site has already given me.

I have done an incredible amount of research into the online side of Lima Peru. 'kinestops' seems the most legit, I know to go by the 'fotos reales' seal but. That's all I know about the matter. Does anybody have recommendations for other sites? Especially anyone with personal experience. Worried about bait and switches. Or no shows. Also I Read somewhere on here to have the girl meet you in the lobby or I was thinking by the concierge desk.

I'm in the Miraflores area so if I can't find a girl online, there seems to be agreement that tequilla rock is a good option for a more in person selection. I have only been back once since the Metropolitano has been constructed, and didn't catch it then (It was just the Miraflores line at the time).

I was worried it would be really crowded and unsafe (I'm picturing TransJakarta as that has a similar timeline to the Lima Metropolitano and heard horror stories about that).

J. J.Thanks for the info! I may have given the wrong impression that I only like posh gourmet places. I don't mind dining at all sorts of places from food stalls, markets, to 3 Michelin star joints. But the place in the Hilton seems way more convenient. I'll try to get some time to check it out.

Also, if anyone knows any must see touristy stuff please let me know. I want to spend some time checking out the city.

Time to explore!It all comes to your definition of "small town". Cuzco Tacna and Arequipa, as well as Chiclayo and Pucallpa, are among the 10 biggest cities (other than Lima) in Peru.

If for "small town" we mean "less than 100,000 inhabitants", I'd had to say the best are Huaral (chongo Las Visitadoras), Barranca (chongo El Totoral) and maybe Ilo (chongo El Escorpion) although it is not that good.

If we go for "less than 200,000 inhabitants" We'd have to add Huacho (chongo El Manzano), and Pisco (chongos Villa Hermosa and Sauce Blanco, both next to each other).

But if we settle for just "other than Lima" I'd had to say Trujillo; there is El Milagro and El Quinto Patio (sharing the same parking lot as El Botecito and El Trocadero in Callao), there is Baha Rosa and Pantaleon in the same quality level of Las Sirenitas in Lima and very close (half an hour by car) in the minuscule town of Laredo there is the new Kamasutra VIP. Then there is Chiclayo with Las Poncianas, Tacna with Las Sirenitas and Las Cucardas and Piura with El Siete, El Siete y Medio and La Colmena, in that order.

Forget Arequipa. There is no legal brothel in Arequipa so the only chongos there are small, dirty and very low quality, illegal joints. Guys must travel to the nearby cities of Pedregal, Camana or Mollendo to find a low-quality but legally established small chongo. There are good chongos in Cuzco, Puno, Cajamarca and Huancayo too, but those are high altitude cities (a hard call for your hearth and your lungs to enjoy a chongo at an altitude of 9,000 feet or higher), and their chongos are not as good as the ones in Trujillo, Chiclayo or Tacna.

Of course, good, regular or bad is all a matter of perception and I've not traveled to all and every city in Peru, but this in my opinion based on the places I've visited at least once.

Reading old reports about the Pizza Alley streetwalker scene and the freelancer disco, it seems like Lima was once a great place to be. These days, Miraflores has pretty much been cleaned up. The influx of Venezuelan refugees has made things worse, not better.

But that made the once lenient local authorities react and the map of the P 4 P business is changing. New low-cost brothels are appearing everywhere (away from Miraflores) offering, mostly, Venezuelan girls.

Action in Miraflores has been reduced but is still there, although the prices have gone a bit higher. Most of the action moved to Lince but the authorities pressure means it is always changing and there is not an established specific zone yet.

The new "hot" zone is now in Independencia and Los Olivos, In the vicinity of MegaPlaza mall but that is way too far for tourists and is mostly aimed at the local market.

The only alternatives left for those who want higher girl-quality levels seem to be the "caletas" and the ad pages, with the risk of bait-and-switch they involve.

Polvo.I was there in January and $100 bills were no problem. It was nice to just put the bill in the slot and then get your soles back pronto. In Colombia it is a pain to change money. They even take a finger print and make you sign a form. After all that you get a lousy exchange rate. In Lima the rate was very good. When I go back I will bring more $100 bills instead of ATM cards.

Since the Venezuelan invasion, armed assaults against the "cambistas" increased exponentially and several cambistas were killed. So many local governments (Miraflores and San Isidro amongst them) banned the money exchange on the street. As a result, most money exchange is done at "casas de cambio" and there are lots and lots of casas de cambio all around Miraflores, San Isidro and every district where the cambistas have been banned. At a casa de cambio you find the cambista (most probably the same guy that used to work on the street) behind a bullet-proof glass with a small slot where you put your dollars and get your soles.

You can still find cambistas on the street in Lince and some other districts but more people is getting used to the casa de cambio every day, since the rate is the same (especially if the cambistas are not banned from the streets) and they are perceived as safer.

As John G. Described, it is ok to bring $100 bills, up to $10,000 I believe, before you have to disclose it at the airport.
If you are staying for a while, it is better you open a local acct at a bank, with a "no charge once a month attention at the counter", and make a significant deposit. Then you can use their Debit card to withdraw you money at any time you want without any charges, otherwise the regular ATM withdraws are limited to $400 and they charge you about $5 for ea withdraw.

The forum has suffered a mix of reactions but finally I believe things are back to normal again, regarding David and possible consequences to those who knew him, so I hope we'll be "seeing" you and sharing your experiences.

Prices at the 69 and similar spots 9 are way high, but offer and demand usually sets the going rates.

The old bait and switch and same old, same old mechanical, pro hit-and-run. Never go away.

I think somewhere on the North Coast seems to be the best option.

There's a direct flight from Santiago to Trujillo on JetSmart (Flight from Australia goes to Santiago), and I'm still to explore Puira and Sulliana.

Though I did read about how scam-happy Tumbes is, hopefully, that is the only town like that up there.

Otherwise, it will be a town / city between Chimbote and Lima where Lima is in easy reach, although a 180 degree bus cama isn't too expensive either from further north.

Forget Arequipa. There is no legal brothel in Arequipa so the only chongos there are small, dirty and very low quality, illegal joints. Guys must travel to the nearby cities of Pedregal, Camana or Mollendo to find a low-quality but legally established small chongo. There are good chongos in Cuzco, Puno, Cajamarca and Huancayo too, but those are high altitude cities (a hard call for your hearth and your lungs to enjoy a chongo at an altitude of 9,000 feet or higher), and their chongos are not as good as the ones in Trujillo, Chiclayo or Tacna.

Of course, good, regular or bad is all a matter of perception and I've not traveled to all and every city in Peru, but this in my opinion based on the places I've visited at least once.

In my post I forgot chongo Tres Cabezas (former Casa Rosada) in Chimbote, great place. We have to consider Chimbote in the "Other than Lima" category, right after Tacna and before Piura.

There is not really a good chongo in Sullana. Quite some years ago they opened Molino Rojo; new, clean pretty much like a smaller "Las Sirenitas" and they had a good start but, somehow they lost momentum, started losing their best girls, failed to attract new good ones and, the last time I was there, two thirds of the rooms were empty and I found the few girls present quite unattractive, but that can change anytime since the infrastructure is there and is good. All the chongos there are in the road between Piura and Sullana; El Siete and El Siete_y_Medio are close to Piura (side by side), La Colmena is across the road, a few yards closer to Piura, and Molino Rojo is in the same road but close to Sullana. You can visit all four in one day if you start early (I've done it).

Prostitution is legal but proxenetism is not, and the law defines proxenetism as "to benefit from the sexual commerce of third party persons", and that allows for a very wide field of interpretation. In principle, anyone opening a chongo is "benefiting from the sexual commerce of third party persons" so. How can be legal prostitution exercised? This is how: A chongo is a local business and, as all and any business that is open to the public, they need an "operating license" issued by the local government (municipalidad). All legal chongos have a valid license for which they pay the local government a yearly fee and are controlled by the public health authorities.

Now, the people (and their authorities) in the northern half of the Peruvian coast are way more open minded, when it comes to prostitution, than the people of the southern coast. And the Arequipenos are the less open minded off them all. Tacna is a notorious exception and I think it is because of its proximity to Arica (Chile) where prostitution is prohibited. So that is why there are no legal chongos in Arequipa, the local authorities simply refuse to issue the operating license. The chongos you find there are small illegal joints with no sanitary control of any kind because, obviously, nobody is going to invest any money in a business that can be closed at any moment and survives only by bribing the authorities.

I was in Lima for the first time and stayed there for three days and got it all mapped out pretty well for what I needed during those three days. First of all, I did not stay in Mraflores but in a hostel on Plaza San Martin, it's called Orchid Hostel and is located on 959 Jiron Carabaya which in in a Lima District near the Centro. No complains, I was in a 6 bed dorms and only one night there was another person in the room with me, all the other nights I had the whole room for myself. People say it may be a bit dangerous in that area, honestly, I walked all days and nights, I was in Centro at midnight on two different nights and no-one bothered me. Lima seems to be very calm city except for traffic, they all beep those horns all the time and it's annoying. Second, money exchange, I was getting 3. 37 at all money exchange places in Plaza San Martin and that's probably what it is. Food, very disappointing, I was looking for a Peruvian restaurants after being told that Lima is a Culinary capitol of Latin America and there was none, two chevicherias, some Soup restaurants, one Swiss and one German restaurant and many 'hole in the wall' kind of places that I did not want to visit. But who cares about food, there is always Starbucs or McDonnalds that can do the trick.

Girls, I was lucky to find it the second day after google maps sent me to a different neighborhood when I typed 'Las Cucardas" and was walking through ghettos after 10 pm. Quito is 9,350 ft. Mexico is 8,380 ft.

Huaraz has a chongo called "Vichay NC" (20 soles if my info is right). I've never been there, every time I've been in Huaraz I've been as a tourist and with the family, but Huaraz is a well visited touristic destination in winter (US Summer) so it should be at least an average chongo.

Cajamarca has a chongo called "El Polvorin" and another one called "Las Cucardas", five years ago they were not great but not bad either and relatively expensive for a chongo out of Lima (25-30 soles); however, after the end of the "gold fever" Cajamarca's economy has gone down a lot, so I wouldn't expect too much. Girls go where the money is.

I think you will enjoy Las Sirenitas! The quality of girls there is on par with Cucardas. Maybe even better! Keep in mind that they have a shift change at 3 P. M. The "hot" zone is north of Mega plaza, comprising Calle 1, Calle be and Calle see (Check Google Maps). Lots of discothekes, bars and nightclubs there, the street walkers are usually hanging in and around those bars and discos.

The ads in Photokines mentioning "in front of" Megaplaza, sometimes refer to that same area but mostly refer to the zone across the Autopista Panamericana Norte, basically Jr. Carlos Salaverry from Calle Jose Salazar to Av. Carlos Izaguirre (Check Google Map again). Not many streetwalkers there, save maybe around Parque Cajamarca, but lots of hotels for the P-4-P business and quite a few "casas" pretty much like the "Prepago Spa" you mentioned in your report. You cannot find them, however, unless you already know where they are because they have no signs or markings of any kind, so previous telephone contact is necessary for your first visit.

I was planning a trip in March, but did not book anything once I saw how the world was changing. One thing we'll need to keep in mind when the borders open up is the quarantine rules, both coming and going. I imagine every country will have some sort of rulebook around this. For example, no point in taking a two week vacation from your home country to Peru if once you arrive in Peru, you have to self-quarantine for 2 weeks. Same applies coming home. Will your home country force you to quarantine once you land. How will that impact your work?

Things to consider before traveling internationally again. Just because the border is open does not mean there will not be restrictions. Also, what happens if the world goes into lockdown again because we opened to quickly. Then you could be stuck in Peru for months without the ability to work. Also, what if you catch the virus while in Peru? Even if you have travel insurance, will they try to get out of claims by saying COVID-19 while traveling was a known risk and not covered?

Not saying these things WILL happen, but they could. I think if we travel right after the borders open, we have to be aware of any risk and will probably be on our own to solve any problems. I am dying to return to Peru, so I will be anxious to get there once it appears reasonably safe to do so. I thought I read somewhere that Peru may not open to international travel until October, but I don't see how that could be financially viable.

I do not recall where, but common sense dictates things will not magically return to how they were prior to lockdown. I'm not specifically talking about Peru. All I am saying is be prepared. Check your travel and medical insurance in advance to make sure you are still covered. Check to make sure there aren't any quarantine restrictions once you arrive in the country you are visiting. Check that your home country will not force you to quarantine when you return.

If these things do not concern you, feel free to do as you wish and deal with the consequences, if any. I agree, there will not be a universal standard and every country will have their own version of the new rules for international travel, so my point is that we should do our own homework before traveling. This is especially after the lockdown opens.

I thought Lima in particular would be an ideal place for Covid to spread. The weather is the same almost every day, there is a high population density, and the air quality sucks. Bogota has much the same issues as Lima but it is at a higher altitude and the weather in Bogota is nuts (cold one hour then warm, sunny one hour then pouring down rain) and would seem not that accommodating to growing a virus.

Peru has very few ventilators and ICU beds like in the dozens only. It is 11th in the world with Covid cases, and I could easily see them overtaking Canada and even China, so they are the last country in South America I see opening up. I certainly can see Colombia opening up given how few cases they have in comparison. Ecuador has been hit hard, but I suspect there is a lot of immunity built up there. With Peru, if they opened up this summer I would be shocked. Their case numbers are still going up, not as dramatically as they were, but they are still going up. I do not see them opening up until September at the earliest.

Quite a delay in this report. I was in Lima for a short trip in late Feb. Right before all the shit started. I really loved the city. I stayed at a few hotels the Doubletree and JW Marriott both in Miraflores. Both were awesome and girl friendly. The JW is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed at in South America. I went down to meet a few friends and eat at a few restaurants. I was blown away by restaurant Central, if you are a foody I highly suggest checking it out. I also made it to astriad why gaston which was really good as well. Come to think of it, Lima probably has the best food I've had in South America. I spent all my time in miraflores and barranco. The night life was great.

Girls were not the main point of the trip. But I did meet up with a few of jockey16's friends. Both were total sweethearts, highly recommended. I also meet up with a few girls off tinder. "I can't say where he works or when you can find him," said the carefree family member at his home in Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso in Callao. This property, with three floors, white walls and easy access, is located on a corner and is the same one that Victor reported as domicile in the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status. José, dressed in sandals, shorts and an open shirt, adds: "that is a screen", when consulting him about the foundation that his brother was going to create and his interest in Creole music.

Víctor is a man respected and feared by the prostitutes of Las Cucardas. For many of them, he is the person who gave them the opportunity to improve their economic stability; for others, a simple 'businessman'. Nidia is 22 years old and did not come to Las Cucardas by chance. In 2013 she was already renting her body to exclusive clients.

Going through the door is a ritual and a forbidden daring for women, except for those who work there. Four security people monitor the entrance: one registers the taxis that leave the brothel, as it also offers the mobility service; two impose order in entry; and another checks customers with a metal detector.

Cell phones, suitcases and any large object are prohibited. At the reception, an old man with Japanese features keeps the devices and charges the entrance fee: 38 soles (approximately 12 USD) in cash or by card. The proof of payment goes out with the name of Rosa Hatsue Shimabukuro Shimabukuro S. A. see. Which has its fiscal address on Avenida Argentina, a branch and a warehouse on Avenida Guillermo Dansey, and the premises of Las Cucardas.

The entrance fee includes two complimentary drinks, a condom, and a control ticket. She attended 30 men on average every day, endured the indecency of many of them and the infatuation of others. She gave a percentage of her money to Las Cucardas for each service offered, something that Victor himself denied tirelessly.

"There are no cafes here (.) nor do we take 50% of their work," boasted Víctor Shimabukuro in an interview for Caretas magazine in 2009. The controversial character claimed at that time that he only rented the rooms for 100 soles. Today the story is different. Although the Las Cucardas administration does not take half of what prostitutes earn per client, it does receive 25% of that income in the end; that is, 20 soles.

In one shift, either day or night, each of the women serves 15 clients on average. The basic rate, which does not include unprotected sex or "special" requests, is 80 soles for 20 minutes.

In just one day, a prostitute like Nidia takes home 900 of the 1,200 soles she earned by pleasuring men; that is, 50 soles more than the monthly minimum wage of a Peruvian. Together, the 60 prostitutes generate 25.9 million soles (US $ 7.7 million) for sexual services in one year: 19.4 for them and 6. 4 for Las Cucardas.

That is new, I stayed there in Feb pre covid and it was totally girl friendly.I booked the next 2 weeks at J Pardo (former "Las Americas" then "Thunderbird") where they assured me visits were allowed. Sigh. You guys only care about the price of pussy and not about the price it costs to get somewhere, the looks of the women, and lodging costs. Quite frankly, the looks of the cheap hookers in Colombia blew away the high end ones in Lima.For me. Pretty much.

Lodging, I'd never look at something high end as Doubletree. When I started going to Lima, it was staying at 3 stars like Maria Luisa when it was S / 70 a night and always kept my accomodation costs under $40 a night.

Flights, it's all the same to me, I fly into Santiago/BA from Australia.

I also have asthma so I think I'll have issue at altitude, esp in Bogota.

The main thing that scares me about Colombia (and what I like about Peru. And Ecuador when I finally get there) is that there is a safe environment where you can have cheap sex. I am scared shitless about going to Santa Fe in Bogota or Centro in Medellin, having to negotiate with a woman on the street and follow her to a dodgy hotel. However I feel very safe going to 90% of chongos in Peru and having sex on the premises, something I've done hundreds of times.

If someone can suggest a safe way to do it in Medellin, I'm all ears, but I'm too weary reading stories of being drugged, boyfriends walking in and blackmailing/threatening violence, holes / doors in the wall where people can steal your items, etc. All this stuff does NOT happen in a chongo in Peru, but does happen when dealing with street girls anywhere in the world (same stories around SW in Tijuana etc).

It appears that your mongering style demands:

- Low costs to get to your desired spot.

- Great looks of the women for 100 soles or less ($30).

- Lowest lodging costs.

Despite not knowing these folks traveling needs, you have defined your way as the only way to monger and you get upset tor ". You guys are arguing this point. ". Very few people would criticize you for spending all that money to bring a Venezuelan girl and get "Engaged" when she may be forced to walk the streets when you are not there, moreover. I am sure it was a lot more expensive that what the average monger would pay for pussy.

Others have described an even cheaper way than yours, specifically:

- Stay at a Backpacking, bunk-bed-sharing motels.

- Going to The Troc or Las Cucardas where you can find hot chicks.

- They thumb a ride from town to town.

Yet they haven't criticized anyone for spending their money the way they want.

Cost of a room at one of three Doubletree hotels in Bogota hotels in Bogota ranges from $52 to $55 a night on hotels.com. Cost of one night in Lima Doubletree is $108 on hotels.com. It is $109 a night in Santiago. In Mexico City $80 and in Sao Paulo it is $65. Everyone of those locations save for Santiago has better looking women.

I really do not even know why you guys are arguing this point. Maybe once Peru devalues its currency again, it will be a bargain, but it sure as hell is not now.
