Sorry, but what is a prepaid cell phone at orange? Will be in DR soon and am interested in such arrangement. How many minutes does it buy for $30?

ask the receptionist at your hotel where is an orange shop.

get the most basic phone at US$30, which include phone + 5 minutes, and then buy a 5 or 10 dollar charge for 30 or 60 minutes (approx).
keep in mind that you only pay to make calls and not to receive them.

Excellent point freedick,
If you travel to the DR on a regular basis, purchase an orange phone. I like to get normal chicas and if meeting chicas that give me numbers I want to be able to call them from hotel and have them be able to call me. What is about 35US for a phone, and a 200RD phone card, it's a good investment in my opinion? I hate trying to use the payphones in the DR, they suck. Plus traffic is loud and can be very difficult to talk and hear if you find a payphone that works. Orange shops all over, impossible to miss.

please note:

unless you are staying more than a week, I advise against flying into Santo Domingo and then going to Sosua by land.
First, you will need a cab to go to the coach station (US$30-40), then you will spend 5.30(five hours thirty minutes) hours on a bus, and then you will need to do the same on your way back, so take US$100 and two days off your vacation plan.

If you decide to have your cab driver take you straight to Sosua form the airport, guess...its's still US$100 and 5 hours...

Just a thought,
If someone wants to travel to the south and hit the north coast as well it may be more beneficial to fly into STI(Santiago). Santiago has a bus station that goes to Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo and only costs a few dollars for a ticket. It would cut down travel time considerably instead of just flying into SDQ and planning to go to the north coast. Santiago is centrally located for travel.

Well there was the blackout on Friday so I rescheduled for Sunday whicah was the earlist and then there were the lightning storms. Well I arrived 3 hours late into Santiago, went thru customs and gration supper fast grabbed a taxi ($12) and said I wanted to go to Holdephia and the clubs. He suggested to checkin first and I agreed. It was 2,100 pesos including tax and that also included breakfast for 2 and admission into thier disco as well.
Off to Illusions where there was a crowded house. I askede a chica how much, she replied 3,000 pesos. Then off to the Casa Blanca which was closing. It was about 4 AM now. Back to Illusions wher I asked chica #2 if 2,000 would do it and she said 2,500. Tne next chica said yes but it was 4:30 and I was beat so back to the hotel it was.
I gave the taxi guy an extra $8 for doing the clubs and he was good with it. At the front desk I asked the guy if he knew any chicas that was thin and in the 18 range. He said give him 15 minutes which turned out to be a half hour. She was too big so I said no. There was a knock on the door about 6AM and the bellman had 2 more chicas that were not my type as well. They really tried. I asked the taxi how much to go to Sosua in the morning and he said 1,000 pesos, I countered with 900 and he said fine.

I work up early, asked another taxi and he took 800 so off I was. I was in Sosua in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Arrived in Sosua, got my novia and went over to Caribe Campo Hotels. Its got 150 rooms, 2 pools a restaurant and a bar. I had e mailed the guy beforehand, since Brian, Hoonybird and TSM have all stayed there. I was given a studio for $25 per night. I am with my novia 3 years this month so I decided on a nice quiet hotel this trip. I went to town with her, had lunch at Mora Mai, was joined by, Mav and Brooklyn Zoo. Afterwards I was off for 300 peso massage number 1. It was great!!!
Back to the hotel to swim, there was a guy from Austrilia there, young guy into mongering as well. Afterwards Izzy, myself and the guy went to The Sexy Lady Bar, where Mav was. He owns it. It was raining hard and 2 other mongers came. Turns out they are on my Yaahoo club and knew me as well.

Tuesday Aug 19, 2003:

Starting every day here at the internet I moved on to Breakfast at The Mora Mai. Afterwards I stopped by The Palace and saw Billetes. I continued on my way to my massage, I saw a Haitain girl walked a bit with her when I saw Mav and Benjo and chatted a while. I then passed this cute chica, said she was 18, that was at my Hotel as well and we had coffee. She was living with her parents there. Later on I knocked on her door and a 30 year old German answered the door! Opps I must have the wrong room. I will see her around later for sure. I got my 300 peso massage and went back for my afternoon swim.
Got some dinner and ended up at The Sexy Lady for a few hours. They have 3 chicas working there, all are around 18-19 and cute. Pictures by me to follow. TSM guy and Billy came by as well. Iwas a nice rainfree day. My mellow vacation is going well.

Wednesday and Thursday Aug 20 & 21
I was on vacation really from mongering. I got my 300 peso massages, walked around during the day and swam. I checked out The Villa Chessy which has 24 rooms and there was a monger there that knew me from Asscon in NY. He is there with his 4 friends and they are the only ones there. I stopped by The Blue Dolphin both nights where my friend DanMan is the only one there as well. I hung a bit with the ownners who are all there. Its very dead in Sosua now. I was at The Palace both days and sat with the new guys there as well. There are 4 mongers staying there. Soronji and Estelle were hanging out there with 2 of the mongers. I went by The Sexy Lady both nights and they have 4 on staff there. Its very mellow here these days.

Crystals was the first stop and the are back in opreration then we went to El Boem which was crowded then we hit Mountainview. One chica wanted 2,500 pesos but Dan passed. Sat Aug 23
It was raining all day long. I managed to get out for my massage during that time. Later on in the day we went over to The Blue Dolphin where there were 8 of us hanging out and 3 chicas showed up. Nice ones at that. About 10:30 PM Izzy, Danmam and myself hit the new Breezes Casino then went on to Casa de Equipo where there were maybe 10 chicas then on to Las Brieses where it was packed and there were maybe 15 chicas. Some hot ones. One wanted 1,000 pesos for an hour and a half but Danman passed. It was a nice ending to trip #21.

About the phone. Its a good idea to have a phone. I've been to the DR about 10 times in the last year and half and a phone comes in handy. I wouldn't buy an Orange phone though. I have one and the coverage sucks. Nobody can ever get a hold of you and you end up missing a lot of calls from friends, family and chicas. Buy a Codetel phone. There a little more expensive but you will rarely miss a call and you can make a call anywhere on the island.

There is a great web site for very cheap travel. It is 11thhour.skyauction.com. An Ebay type of site where you bid for trips. This night I only see a trip to Punta Cana at (current bid)$1.00. But beware there is a service charge. Around $200 I think. My brother used this to purchase a round trip ticket to Sao Paulo for $540 once. Most of the trips are Continental Airlines. He had to fly from Columbia, SC to Newark and then to Rio. They tend to have mainly Mexico and Brasil destinations. But every now and then have DR flights listed.

By the way. Jimmy, thank you very much. Your posts are fantastic. DR is definately my next stop. Semi-fluent in Mexican Spanish and Brasilian Portugues.

(I have info on Brasil and Mexico. But mostly outdated as I have been stuck in the states for the last two years due to the economy.)

You can start at any starting point but I will start at The Sosua Palace.

I come downstairs around 2, chat with a few mongers and when its a crowded house there are plety of chicas around. Soronji, Mercedes, Estelle and a few othere were on hand. Tampa Bukke came over from the Europa and Dan Man came over from The Blue Dolphin. A few of us then walked over to The Blue Dolphin and shot the shit there. He had a couple of chicas sitting around as well. Everyone is welcome there as well. After a bit we would walk down towards the beach, sometimes stopping at The Haligali for a drink as well. After that we would pass The 4 Roses, where any mongers from The Europa usually start their bar hopping adventure.
Onward to The Sexy Lady which can be anywhere from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. Now its time for Dinner so we decide and a great spot usually is The Bolgna Bar where you can sit at the bar and eat and star at the 2-3 hot chicas working there.
After dinner, this can repeat until its time to hit Puerto Plata!

My last day, yea!!! Went for a swim then jumped in the taxi to Santiago. along the way I saw a chica needing a ride but the taxi wouldn't stop so after 10 minutes of me yelling at him when we saw another chica in need he stopped and she got in. She needed a 10 minute ride and said she had a 45 year old gringo internet boyfriend so she really didn't need any money. O well!

Acepta invitadas/huespedas? or El hotel acepta invitadas? or Yo puedo tener invitadas? (Do you/hotel, accept guests(feminine plural form) or Can I have guests(feminine plural) invitadas may be easier for you to say than huespedas, both mean the same thing. Will be understood in context.

To all my D.R. north coast mates,

Can anybody give me a quick run-down on up-to-date prices for Sosua chicas for two hours, and all night? I don't want to overpay and I see that the D.R peso is making a bit of a comeback against the dollar. I think it got to about 30 DRP to 1 US last week.
Also, what are the best strip clubs on the north coast for picking up "seriously" hot chicas from - regardless of price? What can I expect to pay for a "10" from one of these clubs for toda la noche?
I appreciate the info, I will be in Sosua arriving next weekend.

I just got back from the south coast less than two weeks ago, I am sure prices should be similar to the north. Shorter time(1.5-2hrs during the day which I always require) should cost less than 700RD. Overnighters should cost less than 1000RD. Currently in many areas the peso is around 32 to 1 US dollar. Just shoot for 600RD for short time, and 900RD for overnight and you should have no problem finding a woman what so ever. You might even get lucky and find one for overnight for300RD which I did last trip but paid 500RD because she was very good:) These prices reflect street girls, beach girls, girls in bars but not those who work in places like Crystals or Remington's. I am sure they would be around 1500RD-2000RD for overnight but someone else can tell you more certain information on that.

No. 3000-3500 plus salida. And all the best chicas in those places are hard core pros. That means - very difficult to negotiate the price and to get a quality service and attitude. They know that they (those 9`s-10`s) are in demand and if you do not pay what she wants there are always enough suckers who will. Street bars` girls are much better deal.

It really depends. I know the owner of Crystals and all his chicas stay as promised. If they don't he makes it right. Over the last year over 100 of us went to Crystals. As long as the chain isn't broken things go well. I mean if you go with mongers that have been there before then their chicas know other chicas and so on. Mountainview is another place that I always got great service for about $40-$50 per night. Long Beach across from Crystals runs $30-$40 per night but its hit or miss.

There was a earthquake today in Puerto Plata, with 2 dead. I don't now any of the places are infacted, but a lot of homes are no longer there. I don't now of Sosua had any affects, then my friend from Cabarette was send for work to Samana. When I will here something more will report this here.

I can't seem to get any information on anything besides Puerto Plata re: the earthquake.
I heard that the earthquake that hit Monday caused considerable damage to many of Puerto Plata's dated schools - displacing some 18,000 children, however caused only minimal damage to area hotels and resorts.

The airport (POP) was closed temporarily while they had an engineering company check for structural damage but was open again my morning.

Does anyone who knows "Dominican John" personally know if the Palace was damaged during the quake? How about Sosua and the rest of the north coast?

John at the Palace responded to my inquiry regarding the status of the hotel following the earth quake. The place sustained only cosmetic damage and he has put a crew to work getting things back in order. He is open for business and the building is solid.

Yes, John from the Palace emailed me back.

He said that damage was limited to first floor apartments only.
Mostly cosmetic, cracked ceiling, broken toilets and some stucco.
Crew is working on it now.

He also said that the earthquake was the F***ing scariest thing he ever experienced in his life and if he never experiences another one it would be o.k. with him!

I am writing you all from the internet cafe/exchange bank in downtown Sosua. I arrived here on Saturday night and am staying for 9 nights in the Sosua Palace penthouse, leaving on Sunday.
Wow, all I can say is wow. This place is pretty amazing!
First I want to thank all my internet mates who gave me the info necessary for me to make this trip ..... they include of course *******, GPiper, nuhomet, wolverine 71, and mirco (sorry if I misspell some of your handles). I am having a great time!
The place is absolutely mobbed with beautiful women and a serious lack of interested men, it is a buyers market! Prices are 1000 pesos for toda la noche at the very most (about 32$) but I am positive girls could be had for much, much less $. I offer 1000 pesos and the girls are about to run out the door with me. I was in a bar called the cowgirl bar last night and they had 7 gorgeous women and only one other customer besides me. The salida was 400 pesos but I told the bartender because it was so late cerca medinoche, I said he should wave it and he agreed. I paid 800 pesos and no salida for an absolute 9 named Cynthia. Kinda big backfield but HOT!
John at the Palace is an awesome guy we struck up a quick friendship and we have eaten dinner together most nights. I have some connections and I have given him some advice on his business and he is appreciative.
The Palace took a very serious beating from the earthquake, it is sad to say, but its a little disingenuous for him to say it sustained cosmetic damage only and he admits that. However, he has a crew working like dogs day and night and things are really improving! He is puting in 5 seperate reinforcement beams running from piso primera to the third floor for support and he is bracing for the BIG ONE.
The night life in Sosua is hot every night of the week, so far I have picked up chicas at bars called The Cowgirl bar, Four Roses, The Flamingo strip club, The High Caribe Night Club and the Bora Bora Bar. I rented a car so I am kind of the designated driver for the boys in house but a car is not necessary as everything is close to John's Palace.
The restaurants in town are also great. Mora Mai is tops with a great menu and good prices but PJ's is also good with great sandwiches and it is open 24 hours. I give honorable mention to La Roca which is not exactly cheap but last night I had a 2.5 lb. lobster dinner with all the trimmings that was 5 stars.
John has the usual suspects hanging around the bar at the Palace including Soronji, Blausey (sp), Pearla etc, but there are plenty of other chicas sticking there heads in and out.
I have posted on the Honduras San Pedro Sula board and was quite critical of the posters for not giving me all correct information. I found the prices in San Pedro Sula to be considerably higher than what I had expected, but not here. I actually feel the prices (because it is such a buyers market) right now are actually lower than I had expected! I think if you work on a girl hard enough you could have some for pocket change, and I don't meen dogs either!!
P.S. The ground is still alive guys! The ground is still alive!!
6 more earthquakes since I arrived just 4 days ago. I was woken up twice since I have been here with pretty serious quakes in the middle of the night. The penthouse is rocken and its not me who is doing all the shaken! The other night my girl almost jumped out of her skin.... TERREMOTO!, TEBLOR DE TIERRA!!!
The supermercado in town sells Budweiser, thank God. Presidentes give me an instant headache!

i got up early to drop my chica off and john and his crew is already getting ready to start pouring the concrete for the reinforcement beams i mentioned yesterday. he knows that that ******* and his crew are arriving later this month, he says he likes you guys and he wants everything to be "up to standards" when you arrive. i think he will have the place looking great, he is working very hard.
no earthquakes last night at all, yippee!
the palace is starting to fill up now for the weekend but all though everyone seems to have heard of the wsg.org board, it appears i am the only member currently staying there.
exchange rate just hit 32-1 which is the best rate that i have received yet. if you hit any of these "exchange" stores with dominican john first when you arrive afterwards when you come back they don't even make you show i.d. they say "you are staying with john, right?" when you say that you are they just cash your checks without even presenting your passport.
i think the only thing about this place that i don't like is the beach. now there is nothing wrong with the beach in sosua per se, it is beautiful and all but it is the way that it is set up that is iritating. you drive or walk down this narrow street past literally dozens of little vendor shops that ***** everything from cigars, tee-shirts, rings, wooden statues and assorted crap. the vendors absolutely mob you in every direction. i mean in a town of vultures they are the kings! then when you finally get down to the beach the way it is set up there are vendor shops on one side of the beach walkway and the beach on the other. these guys "hit you" from every side mobbing you and making the whole beach experience pretty damn undesirable. oh well, what are you going to do?
if you are a sun worshipper, the penthouse works great - you can lay out up there and nobody bothers you.
o.k. guys its off to breakfast, (i have to get rid of my big budweiser head):) i think its going to be mora mai for desayuno.

then it happened.... "the man arrived"
on friday night the 6'5" rubio grande, gordon tinnat, john's partner arrived for a worldwind, alcohol fueled freeforall from florida.
gordon comes down to the island very infrequently but when he does........ buckle up and enjoy the ride!!
john's partner gordon, myself, gordon's cousin rob from kentucky, and sean from tennesee hit cristals at 10 o'clock sharp on friday night.
cristals was packed with hot chicas but at that early hour a serious lack of customers. by 11 gordon was "pie eyed" sitting at the bar with four girls draped across his lap, sean had fallen in love with a muy bonitas mujer negro, rob was occupied with two girls he couldn't decide on and i was squirreled over in the cuarto privado with a smokin hot light skinned morena.
we brought the four back to the palace and all of us had enough left in the tank afterwards for round two at the high caribe night club. at the high caribe 1200 pesos takes it for toda la noche with no salida. cristals is a bit more pricey but may well be worth it to you because the choices are primo!!
last night, the alcohol fueled coche zipped across the country to the the city of santiago. gordon made a few calls and it was four guys and six girls stuffed in a honda accord for a straight fuel burn back to sosua. the car was so packed we had two girls sticking out of the sunroof. they kept stopping the car for more girls on the street who wanted to get in but we told them we would have to throw then in the trunk!
when we got back to the palace, things degenerated quickly into a absolute free for all in the pool when the chicas all wanted to nadar desnudo. with salsa blasting at 15 decibels on the hotel boom box we hit them in the pool, in the jacuzzi and then upstairs to the jacuzzi in my room. yes we fit 10 people in the penthouse jacuzzi ....... i didn't think it could be done!
i'm leaving today and i'm muy triste.
p.s. la jazz is here. he is a real nice and stand-up guy, i like him. he came around the pool but i think he wants to start his fun a little slower at first.
p.s p.s the ground is still alive!! another tremor hit the island last night, chased my chica down the stairs nude at 5 in the morning. i screamed off the balcony "get your f''''ing ass back up here b''''"!!!" she got the message....

If you have a birth certificate that is either original or a certified copy with a raised seal, you can travel to the DR.

The tourist card can be purchased when you land at POP, or sometime AA sells them at the US airport. I can sometimes buy the torusit card at JFK for instance.

Since posting like a madman in Sept 2001, the net results are I have
met so many mongers and this trip there are alot returning.

EMRcool is coming with 2 buddies.
Kwiz and Buc are returning as well!
It may look like a crowd but there is room for more.

Jump right in and introduce yourself to everyone. These are all
great guys. We usually eat breakfast at The Europa or Mora Mai so
join us. Both great places with good food. I usually eat at about
9:30 - 10:00 everyday.

Lots of internet cafes and I post everyday so you can read whats hot
and meet up with us. I will update events as they happen.

Group trips to Puerto Plata will meet at Sosua Palace or Europa at
around 10PM when they occur. Check out the Blue Dolphin Bar. They
know me as well as a few of the other guys so you can meet up with
us. We will scout out a central beach location where you can meet up
as you please.

O'kay leave from New York to santiago enroute to sosusa place. I met
a guy on the plane who was going to pp offer me a free ride with his
novia n driver. Arive at the airport and its ranning like hell, By
the way you get off outside in this airport so I got soak. The
custom guy ask for some cash, I told them only had a card it work and
the process was much faster then sd or pp airports. My free ride was
in the back of a pick up truck dont do it the ride the worst. Pay
for a taxi or take the bus. Afther 1 and half hours I hit the Sosusa
palace. John the owner was not there but his worker call him for me
and I met him later great guy. I was in the penthouse and love it a
floor for myself and my own jaquizzi.It was 1pm and I was ready to
eat Alberto who helps out at the palace took me to maua mai and the
food was so good I ate lunch and dinner there my entire stay. By the
way I don't eat Breakfest. Back to the palace the were there were 3
chica there d'ont rember there names. Pass on all 3 and there was
only 1 other monger there a guy name frank we hung out later that
night. Went into my hot tub and came out met mercedes with big
bottom. I took a couple of pic of her and then fs bbbj and cover sex
O couse. She was good, but want to try the other mercedes next time
she has a smaller bottom but she is a little sexier. Took a shower
watch soom tv and then had another palace girl madi she nice young
girl and seem to be shy and new to this she love to kiss. The sex
was okay but the bj was fair alittle cambra shy, but I got two pics.

meat markert girl from the palcace and from all over. This was my
first time in sosusa,but been to bc and sd and pp no disco compare.
If you can't someting you like get on the plane and go home. I had a
hard time making up my mind took a girl who was going to show me how
to dance in my room. She said she was not a puta and had a job as a
barmaid. Well thats nice, but I just want sex and she was great in
the bed bbbj was just fair she was about 5 stay to about 10am. I
gave her some money for her and son and she took it quick, but she
still said was no puta. Well afther lunch walk around and this place
is a joke guys you will not belive how easy it is in sosusa to get a
girl. In the stores, street, or in front of the house wow and for
500 pacos about 15us the rate was 34.5 at judy bank. I never even
made to the beach,so can't comment on the girls there. Took 2 country
street girls up to the penthouse for 600 pacos and had a good time.
Later I met sorinji the girl with the metal in her mouth. The girl
can do her job she give one of the sloppiest bbbj you ever get and
the sex is good . She was the best girl I had in the palace. I also
want it nilsa who Is no longer there and anna who is still working
but was in sd at the time. At night me and frank when back to have a
drink at sexy lady bar same girls so we hit the disco and I took one
frank pass he was leaving in morning. BTW there were 3 other monger
who came in young guy early 20s who only wanted to stay at the palcae
and hook with the new girls who eat lunch dinner and stay with them
in pool. Hey to each his own I also saw 2 other guys in and out
the palace. At 41 I am now spend and thinging about v-pill, but I
can make one mor day without med help. Last day so I pack and ate
lunch then bought some gifts and things talk a little while with the
dominican gue who spoke some enlish and met a friend of his dyis man
she was a 10 in my book and spoke some enlish well you no the rest.
That night me and mr nyc went to pp first crystals 15 girls didn't
see noting the price 3000dr and 800dr exit fee thats about 110us.
The bar across the street had about 10 girls but didn't stop for
them. Next Elbohem the girl were about the same as crystals 7s and
9s the only 10 was leaving with some one I would have pay for her.
She was blond green eyes and very lite and a body to macth. I am
into girls with nice bottoms. Next to the other side of pp to the
glaxcia and me and mr nyc were the only guy not dominican. The girl
were more my type I sort like em a little bigger in the bottom then
most and I found 4 but took one. 300dr exit fee and the girl wanted
3000dr then 2000dr its was okay for my last night. I could give 1500
but didn't want to bargin no more and it was getting late plus the
street were on fire and garbage was everywere that side of town still
doesn't have electric power. The girl was ok not worth 2000dr. 2
from the high carib for 800dr were much better in bed, but she took
some nice outfit pic for me. That it I'll be back soon. PS Jdr

Wednesday October 16, 2003:

Well I arrived on time via Santiago and its a packed house in Sosua. checked into The Palace, which is very good shape after a major earthquake 2 weeks ago, and Breastman and his 2 buddies were there. Pesos at Judy's were 34.60 to the Dollar today. There were chicas in and out all day and some new ones as well. I will get pictures tomorrow. Seems like the day place to hang will be the Palace. Soronji, Yenni, and Mercedes were a few on hand. Later on Bronco checked in. SantiagoJeff arrived later in the day as usual. I got my first massage today for the usual 300 pesos. Went over to The Blue Dolphin Bar and hung with Mav. Bbuyer is staying there. Later on BPL and his 2 buddies were there. The Playoffs are on every TV in this town. I walked around town and there are chicas everywhere to be had. Over at the 4 Roses I saw EMRcools gang and Raider who are staying at The Europa. Mav and I hit The Villa Chessa Bar and Grill and had a few drinks. They have a restaurant that closes at 10PM. I passed Ant and his buddy roaming the streets of Sosua. Mongers everywhere!!! went to Leo and got my $1.80 haircut as usual.
I hit High Caribe and there were lots of chicas there as well but not that many pretty ones at 12PM. There was a steady flow of motor conches bringing in chicas to The Caribe. I saw a very hot chica by Residential that wanted 2,000 pesos for a short stay. I believe she needed spending money on top ofher Western Union payments.

Friday October 17, 2003:
Started the day with Mav drinking coffee. Expecting about adozen new mongers today in Sosua. They are staying at The Palace and The Europa.
Its World Series week and all TVs in town on the Games. If you wantto hang with other mongers, we will be at Villa Chessa Bar or Blue Dolphin Bar. A few nights we will head into Puerto Plata after the game. It was another good day here. I went swimming, got another massage. Tampabukke arrived and we hung at Sexy Lady then Mav, him and I hit VillaChessa Bar we we played with their hot waitresses for an hour. They are major teases and we made dates for later on and they never showed. Wow who would have thought that!
Big D is back in town again.
I hot Sosua beach which was slow and cruised the town. A few chicas stopped and caught my eye but I kept on moving. I saw that chica from Club Residential and bought her back to my room for a shortie stay for 750 pesos. I shot it in her mouth, she was a real trooper. Kwiz arrived and Mav, him and our chicas hit the casino. Very interesting day.

Saturday October 18, 2003:
Started the day with Mav drinking coffee. Breakfast at Villa Chessa, price fix 80 pesos, French Toast, coffee and Juice. Got to play with Silvia the waitress again. More mongers coming in today again, three from NY. Got my favorite motoconch, drove to Sosua, along the way saw a hot 19 year old Haitian,back to my room, a photo shoot and BJ 200 pesos. NICE!!!! Hung around the pool with Kwiz, Ant and his buddy. On hand were Blausi, Mercedes, Soronji, Ana, and 2 other chicas. Very pleasant afternoon here. Later on the 2 Canadians that were staying at Casa Marina came by and did Soronji and Ana.
Went with Breastman and crew to Rockys for Ribs which were slow, cheap and good. About 10 of us were hanging at Blue Dolphin Bar. Memos hangs there now. Cobra arrived from Santo Domingo and we hit High Caribe,which had very few hotties, and Latina club,with 2 that I wanted, which were both packed with chicas. Prices from Crystals seem to be around $100 per night these days.

Sunday October 19, 2003:
Went to Mora Mai for breakfast, Cobra, Emrcool, Russian dude and our chicas. Back to Palace fora swim, which had in attendance, Soronji, Blausi and Yenni.
Yesterday was an easy day. Lots of hanging at The Blue Dolphin, many Americans, English and Canadians passing thru there. Hung most of the day at The Palace as well and many coming by there as well. Donnylad arrived, staying at Voramar came by. The MadRussian, staying at Club Residential, where a/c is $5 extra per day came by ase wll as the mongers from Europa.
There now is a group of 13 mongers from NY taking up most of the Palace and they are in and out all day with chicas. They are not from the internet but are very friendly.
Mr Video arrived from Ohio, and will be living here for 3 months. There are many mongers coming for extended stays.

Monday October 20, 2003:
Had my breakfast at The Europa with Kwiz. The single traveler arrived as did MH1592. We hung at Blue Dolphin where there were about 4 different chicas hanging out there during the night as well as I got another massage and this time after going there 30 times I looked at the name of the place and its called "M & M" The Palace where there were 10 chicas at a few points in the day. Carmen and a few chicas from The Flamingo were there for a while. Dinner at The Bolgna with MH and there were a few NY Fireman there as well. Heading home I saw a chica walking and gave her a ride back to her place. She needed some dinero but said she would give the services tomorrow, so I said I would return tomorrow then. Joannie was working at the bar next to Isle de Pizloa, so I stoped and bothered her a bit as well.
I saw Marosol around town as well. There are lots of chicas around if you take the time to look for them. The ones I knew that I saw would give 500 peso short time prices to me, which is not really that bad.

Tuesday October 21, 2003:
Started off with the internet then saw a massage place with
2 18 year olds, but no extras for 350 pesos which was very good.
Saw another fine19 year old that spoke
English and I hung with her for 2 hours. I will see her Thursday again. Jean from Montreal and Oscar arrived in town. The guys from NY staying at the Palace have a massive flow of chicas coming thru at all times. They are friendly but are not part of the internet monger world so stay to themselves. There are 15 of them at 3 hotels around town.
Sawthe chica with the apartment at the Latina club which was slow at 12PM. There were a few others there as well. The Merengue club had a few has well, hanging there.

Wednesday October 22, 2003:
Started the day at the internet then got picked up by friends and headed over to Moca, 20 minutes from Santiago. Met a friend with a disco, and was shown some cabanas nearby where it can happen. Will be introduced to some chicas on Friday and maybe a photo shoot will occur!! If it works out I will land in Santiago for a few days to start all trips then pay a taxi $20 to get me to Sosua. Camp david is $25 in Santiago and Cabanas are $12 for 8 hours as well.

Returned to Sosua where there was a chica waiting for a motorconch soI gave her a ride. I wispered in her hear, asking if she needed some money and of course she did. Off to a quickie hotel for an hour. Her name was Ruth and she is 5ft tall and 21 years old.

Thursday October 23, 2003:
SantaJeff arrived with 7 friends for a bacholor party and took over 8 rooms. 5 of the 7 NY guys wanted to stay a while longer but they had to move to Residential cause Jeff made reservations 3 months ago! Up to the Penthouse they went as I and Big D were invited as well. The stero was moved up there as well. All the Palace chicas followed and into the Jaccuzzi they piled!!!! 5 cases of beer, 5 pizzas, 14 loads lost, we were off to Mora Mai. What a scene, cause the other group was there as well so Mora Mai was packed with mongers!!
There are 12 mongers at The Palace now.

I went to the beach again yesterday and its quiet there but there are chicas and people drinking and swimming there.

Friday October 24, 2003:
Stated the day with a massage again, can't ever get enough of those. Hung on the roof with SantaJeffs crew. Great Bacholar Party! The trip is almost over and did it rain!!! Worst I ever saw but I got out to do my rectangle run and saw Joann and Lori working 1 bar, Ruth working another bar and Marasol still at another bar.

Saturday October 25, 2003:

Same thing again, coffee and internet then Paco arrived from Moca. we hit Long Beach and it was slow there then Mountainview where I saw Billy. It was packed and cheap. Must have been 50 chicas there. Salida was 300 pesos and asking prices were 1,000 to 1,300. Headed back to High Caribe where Paco got a chica for 800 pesos for 3 hours. Not bad.

Beddy by was 3am then a 12PM flight from Santiago.

Well first he knows where all my chicas live and work and can see if they are there so I don't waste time looking. He can get them and bring them to our special meeting spots.

Summary of my chicas!!

I am planning to visit the DR next Thursday (30th).

I want to be there until next Monday for a total of five days.

I do not speak a word of Spanish. And I am Asian. Do the girls accept Asians?

I called American Airlines (I live in New York City) and the lady told me that they do not fly to Sosua. They fly to the capital city. So if I stay in the capital city for the whole five days, will I have many opportunities to find ladies? Because I see a lot of posts from Sosua.

What hotels will allow you to take the girls to your room? I heard that low budget motels will allow you to take the girl to your room but I prefer a more cleaner and safer place to stay.

Can anyone please recommend a hotel with its contact so that I can call them and book it? When I make a reservation, should I call beforehand or can I just sign up for a room when I get there?

I am sorry for the many questions. If any of you are at the DR, I will buy you lunch or dinner! :)

I arrived in sosua Last sunday. And I had promised myself not to see the girl I spent 5 out of 7 days with in May and to try lots of girls this time, but of course I went out sunday night and found a very nice bartender girl at one of the small bars. I agreed to meet her Monday after her work finished 1 a'clock at night and of course she is great and a real GFE so I have spent the rest of nights with her and some of the days. she is 23 accordingf to the ID card but probably younger but I will not ask. I am having a US Thanksgiving Dinner at Rockys and the cost is 199-
pesos for Turkey with all the trimmings and coffee and desert. There
will be about 100 people there this year. I do Turkey and Easter
dinners every year and it is attended by expats from all over the
country and tourists alike. Stop by but if you want to eat you need
to contact Marco to make a reservation. Feel free to stop bye for
drinks. This is a nice thing to do when you have no family in the
DR. Lots of great people show up and lots of business gets done also.

New to the board as a poster, however I have been a reader/lurker for well over a year now. In fact due to the great reports I read here, I made a trip to DR (Punta Cana) last December. I intend to maybe comeback again this December and visit Sosua this time around. I am currently planning a trip to BA Argentina for early November. My other travels include Thailand and Amsterdam.

Back again from home and is longing for the next trip. (Beginning February). Short update. Stayed with the first bartender girl for most of the nights and some of the days. Very nice GFE. Even followed me to the airport.
I was with my May favorite girl one night and one day. It was not exactly the same. Maybe to many boyfriends now, I don't know but the new one was better so... Was with a couple of other girls in the afternoons. One extremely good called Maria something. Next time I will spend more time with her if she is still around. Prices are the ones that have been reported 1000 for the all night things and for one of the other girls I payed 500 for 2 hours and for another 800 for 3 hours.

president dismisses threat of "unrest"

president hipolito mejia gave a rep001hing reaction to the warnings of the president of the dominican american chamber of commerce, jorge ivan ramirez, who said that the current economic troubles will lead to social unrest. "look at me - i am shaking!" said mejia when questioned on the matter by a tv reporter. ramirez, who is also the president of codetel, had described the crisis as the most serious the country had ever experienced and said that if the government does not start to manage the situation "in a more disciplined and equitable manner", the country's social order and political legitimacy will quickly break down.

** no currency in the world has dropped in value more than the dominican peso over the past 9 months! the exchange rate is no longer amusing it is getting downright unsettling! the dominican currency is sinking like a stone, and it can't be much longer before there is the inevitable spike up in crime. who better to target but the walking atm machines......the tourists. i will be back down in sosua on sunday. cuidado all!!

I am writing you'all from the internet exchange bank in downtown Sosua. I am once again in the Sosua Palace's penthouse, and already enjoying everything but the weather. Its raining mucho, and when it rains here boy does it rain!!
Exchange rate here is (as I read the sign in the window) is 37.7 to 1 dollars, 41.6 to 1 euros, and 57.1 to 1 pounds!!!
Uneffin' believable! The chicas seem to be unaware that their currency is worth less and less every day, but the restaurants seem to have noticed. There is a number of plates whose prices have been ducked taped over with new higher prices at both PJ's Steak house and at Mora Mai.
I'm not entirely sure how often I'm going to post during my trip , its not that I don't have freetime, I have oodles. Its just that the post by (El Rey) ******* are so complete and accurate re the Sosua scene that I'm afraid most of my stuff would be repetitive. If something hits me as important during my stay here I'll report back.

O.K. since one of the most senior members on this board GPiper doesn't think my posts are boring, I think I'll add something today! Just dropped off my little Vaquera, (cowgirl) back off at her room above the cowgirl bar. Luisa Martes, 23 years old, adorable medium tan skin, dimples, and million dollar rack.
After, I zipped back to my room and pulled some cash out of the caja fuerte and drove to the exchange bank/internet cafe in the center of town to scoop up some pesos. I would strongly suggest that everybody reading this beg, borrow, cheat and lie but do anything you can to get on a plane pronto and get your butts down here as soon as possible! Steal some vacation time you had saved up from something and come on down! Bribe your boss! The exchange rate as I am reading off the sign is 38.6 pesos for 1 dollar!!!! That's not a missprint!! 38.6 to 1!!!
59 to 1 pounds english! 41.8 to 1 euros! I don't think Disneyland will ever be this cheap again. The U.S. economy is improving and the economy down here...... well.... isn't.
I got to go I am absolutely surrounded by German tourists breathing down my neck for this computer.

Greetings gents, have posted for a year and half under jstem30, but am now back as I've finally figured out how to disable my browser and can post again after a years absence. I'm finally going to the DR for the first time, and I have read on the forum about every day and have been doing my homework as much as I can. Would welcome all help from DR mongers about the following:

3 of us are staying at the All-inclusive Sosua Bay resort. We don't like the long term girl experience, so we booked a non-girl friendly AI because we love the all you can eat and drink thing, and in Sosua, we're close to the action. I've heard much talk about the short-term cabanas and *******'s beach massages for 300 pesos, but I was needing any info please on these and also clubs to go to with rooms on premises or safe hotels nearby to take the girls to. We all want to hang with the chicas for a short time, and then chill on the beach the rest of the time. I've been to Amsterdam, Curacao(I've just posted there about my trip) and Costa Rica this past March(just posted there) and have tons of info to trade out as well. I'm finally getting to go to the DR and I want it to be the best trip yet. I just need a little direction.

here's the up to date scoop. excange rate has pretty much flatened out currently at 37 to 1. there is another member here by the name of fantasy who said he got 41 to 1 yesterday at the exchange bank next to edy's sports bar. it appears that there is no correlation between the internationally listed exchange rate and the actual rate that you can get on the street. people here are dumping their currency for almost any price. it appears that the dominican president is running this country into the ground quickly and the scuttle butt on the street is that the enire country is going to the dollar exclusively in the next 6 to 9 months. panic has set in and dollars are at a ridiculous premium!! a dollar only currency here would be muy malo for us!
for me the girl that i mentioned before luisa has turned into my total gfe. i saw her last month so i unearthed a few photos that i took with her last month of us in a restaurant (mora mai) and brought them into her bar and told her that i had returned to see her because i missed her. i thought that she would probably think this was a cute sentiment and give alittle extra effort, but what actually happened i never counted on. this girl is desperately, desperately poor and was looking for any possible little piece of hope to get her through the week. the idea that a nice looking gringo ameriano returned just to see her, absolutely blew her mind. i first realized i was in trouble when she started sobbing before we left the bar the first night. this is what happens when i use my [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134) sized stegasaurus brain and hatch up ideas that i think are intelligent. thinking is not my strong suit! it is working for me though big time! she's absolutely terrific! she's a whirlwind in the upstairs jacuzzi.

Is it posible to get SW's to give it up outdoors?

I know the basic rates so I am not going to get fooled, but I am wondering if it's possible to pick up chicas on the beach in broad day light and get some action in a secluded area.

Just a word for first timers (like myself) upon your return to the real world: prepare yourself for the emotional letdown. The only cure I can think of is thinking how soon your gonna be able to make it back. That said, as soon as I recuperate, I'll try to cull some actually usefull information from my trip, but being a native Spanish speaker myself, my results, or those of anyone who can parlez with the slightest bit of confidence, are nearly impossible to replicate. Remember the phrase "your milage can vary"? Speak the language and you can run on fumes forever. Do yourself a favor and LEARN THE LANGUAGE!!!! Also, treat people with respect, and try a little tenderness (thank you Solomon Burke!). I stayed In Puerto Plata a bit removed from the heavy 'mongerring' scene and it was my pleasure to run into CULEBRA, a very cool person who's still there enjoying all life has to offer. By the way, the day before I got there, Tues. the 5th, there was a brief 4.6 aftershock. Thankfully throughout my stay the only thing shaking was my bed and my jeep.

***Sosua is on the north coast about 15 minutes by car from the primary City on the north coast, Puerto Plata. Yes, I think it may be the very best place to try for a first time trip to the "D.R." and some of the girls down here are absolutely amazing! Inexpensive lodging is everywhere, but I think it is necessary to travel down here sin a room and negotiate while you are here. Don't worry you will find something that is girl friendly and cheap.
If by chance you are having trouble just follow a German tourist around, none of them seem to want to spend more than 2$ a day here for anything.

*****tidbits, all of the dishes at pj's steak house now have masking tape over the prices and brand new prices written in. 25% higher. i guess the people down here have figured out that their currency is never going to make a comeback.
mas tidits, high caribe is still wild but with a very high percentage of dark black haitain girls. it is evidently the spot of choice for them. saw a wild cat fight involving a monger who started talking to four haitian girls that all came in together and he started buying them all drinks. around selection time the four started "boxing it out" for him. he was laughing his ass off while the security guards were wrestling with all four. man o man can those haitian get hot when they're angry!!

Hi guys. Oh well, I've been back a week now and it has been depressing. Just thought I'd give everyone a brief about my 2-wk stay in the DR. I'll detail my stay in Sosua here and my stay in BC in the appropriate stay. AllI will say is that I had an unfortunate experience in BC which I suggest anyone intending to go there reads about.

Firstly, it was great to meet up with Jimmy and John at the Palace. U guys gave me some useful tips. Mav at Blue Dolphin was a great guy too. I think I surprised Jimmy with my tastes and I admit I did have some difficulties satisfying them.

As I explained to Jimmy, I pay no more than the equivalent of $30 at home for the full service (usually inc. anal) and I expect to pay a lot less than that in a developing country. Whilst I did find relatively cheap girls consistently, it was harder than I expected. In general I didn't find DR as good value for money as I expected and I'm still not sure why most girls are charging what they are doing.

19/10 - Got to Sosua at lunchtime. Hung out at the Palace for a bit. Went around the usual bars but all the girls wanted the usual 1000 pesos minimum. I ended up at High Caribe a bit too early (11) and jet lag caught up with me. I got a motoconcho who took me around to find a girl which I did on a street. She agreed to let me give her oral for 300 pesos. She wa's unusually unshaven and an oriental looking type. She did kiss but cut short our session abruptly. I managed to only pay 200 in the end which was ok. Found a cockroach in my room which didn't help!

20/10 - Went down to the beach and acquaintance with a local guy who spoke good english. Started by trying to arrange a girl but failed to do so. Ended up talking me into renting a car for the next couple of days with him as driver. Saw this amazing girl at the beach that he knew who had these incredible breasts. Agreed the works for 500 for a couple of hours but she didn't have the right card etc. Ended up driving out to PP and stopped at a local bar on the way back which had loads of chicks. The salida was 100 but I didn't take one at the time. Ended up seeing another one of his friends at Bar Pluto. She was a light-skinned lady from Santiago by the name of Tati. She said she was 28 but later caught her out and she all but admitted she was 34. Agreed to 500 for 2 hrs. She was great in bed and spoke English. Was the only one who actually let me come on her face. Didn't kiss though.

21/10 - Had been out for the day to Samana. Ended up agreeing to do this bird my driver knew in Charamicos. Checked out all the local bars and even a druggie girl he knew. She agreed to do it all for 300 inc. anal but for some crazy reason I declined. She got pissed off with me and I never saw her again. The one I did take was a 30-yr old by the name of Onya. 22/10 - Spent the day along the coast west of PP and also at Jarabacoa. Boy did it rain!! My last night in Sosua for a while. Checked out the local bars with my driver to no avail. 23/10 - Took the early bus to SD. Please see the BC board for my sexcapades there.

30/10 - Arrived from SD for one less night than planned, after the change in circumstances. Got down to the beach asap to find my old acquaintance. Found him without any probs and had a nice lunch on the beach. Agreed to try and find a girl. Firstly, there was a young Haitian girl who didn't have a card. Briefly entertained doing it in another hotel room but didn't happen. Eventually found this young, lighter-skinned girl he knew who he told me had agreed to 500. Went off in a motoconcho to my hotel and she was to follow in another. A couple of minutes after I got there, whilst waiting outside, 2 young black girls pulled up in a scooter. Said hi and established I was waiting. We got talking and it turned out both were Haitian but one (the more attractive with nice tits) was born and brought up in SD. The other one knew a German guest there and was visiting.

B4 I knew it, I had asked if her friend was working. Turned out se was on her period but agreed to 500 for the usual. I had fancied having a Haitian girl anyway and it looked like this other girl wasn't coming anyway. As it happens, just as we were about to go in, the other girl arrived. I cunningly had a quiet word with her and made out that I had only agreed to pay her 300. She was unhappy with this and left. When the Haitian girl and my local guy asked, I simply said she had wanted 700. The Haitian girl was great except for the blood. Kissed great.

31/10 - My last full day! Went fishing in the morning and took another trip to PP. This time used a gua gua - what an experience!! My contact said he may be able to get me 2 bisexual ladies for a 3some at 6pm. This time came and went. I decided to check out a local bar called Plaza Caribe which I had stopped for a drink at the night b4. I had got talking to a friendly barmaid from Santiago. She ignored me this time. In fact, all the girls did which was a bit strange. Figured I'd get a quick nap b4 meeting my guy at 9 as arranged.

Then, the next thing I know I'm waking up and it's 1am on halloween night!! I was half tempted to go back to sleep as surely I couldn't find a cheap girl on my own at that time. She soon disappeared. Then, b4 I knew it, this black chick dressed sexily grabbed me and started dancing. B4 I knew it she was all over me with her hands doing dodgy things and mine all over her for what seemed like an eternity. We eventually went outside and sat down. I got her a drink which thankfully was non-alcoholic. At some point I found out that she was a 23 yr old single mum from Haiti. Turned out she had worked at Blue Dolphin too.

Then came the question about going back to my place. She asked me to put a price and I said I never paid more than 500. She laughed and eventually said she could go for 700. She insisted on this and kept saying it was dead there and she couldn't find another guy. I stuck to my guns and she finally agreed to 500. It was 3.30. She said she knew the security guard at the hotel too. She had an amazing figure and I couldn't believe I was getting 2 hot Haitian girls in 2 days! It would have been nice to have had a Dominican though. She didn't kiss but she was good otherwise. Had a dawn swim in the pool after she left.

1/11 - Did some shopping in the morning and got myself to Eddie's bar to watch the soccer. It was dead but there was this great barmaid who was friendly. Couldn't believe she was 35 with 3 kids. Says she just got married to an American guy. Eddie came in with a fellow Brit. Back to the hotel to get packed and to the airport. Free transfer by the hotel which was nice. Far from a limo service but useful. That was it!

To all, the exchange rate has unfortunately been sinking for us. It is now listed here at the internet cafe/exchange bank at 35.2 to 1 U.S.D. Still good but not 41 to 1 anymore. Things change hour to hour so anything is possible when the markets open again tomorrow.
The weather here has been about a 5 on a 10 scale. I understand that if I decide to return again next month December is even worse. It rains pretty heavy every morning, and then stays cloudy most of the afternoon. Not great tanning weather, but works great with my gfe for afternoon fun!
To Bil, I have never in my entire life met a human being who does not drink, I have absolutely no point of reference on this one!!! (Smile) No, No, No a mistake I also made when I came here for the first time. U.S credit cards are NOT excepted in all restaurants and hotels. Incredible but true many places accept only cash or travelers checks. There are all sorts of govt. imposed surcharges on the use of US credit cards so many places don't accept them. Check before you arrive. The Palace does NOT accept any sort of credit card, never did, never will.

Wow, great PP summary Dominiking. How did you find out about Galactica. I'll be staying near PP soon but I'll being using Taxis. Do they all know about this place? If you go for short, do they have rooms on premises?

I don't know Puerto Plata well and have never been to Mountain View, Galactica or any other bars. Do they let you negotiate at all?






Try Latina Club, very packed!! Also I went around the entire town and always saw something walking around. If you use a motor conch they loose track of time and will be very happy with 100 pesos, most times.
Mountainview has rooms for rent, Galatica doesn't

Well just like tulips in Holland back in the 1600´s the mania is coming to an end.....exchange rate today is 34 RDP to 1 USD.
They changed it down as I was walking in the door, guess they saw me coming.

It seems that the High Caribe disco and the Latin Club have some kind of working relationship when one club closes the other one is open. Tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday High Caribe is closed, but plenty of putas bumping around the street ifo 4 Roses, Hali gali Bar, Bora Bora bar etc. I have found that many of the hottest chicas are the ´working´ bartenders. They are also available but usually have to hang at the bar till closing time which is usually around 3 AM.

You can be wandering around everynight from 8PM until 5am if you desire!!!

You can even start at 11AM at the beach, try a drink at stall #10 or #66 both monger owned!

Stop by the Bolgna Bar, check out the hotties that work there and have an iced cold cappacino or beer or eat a nice cheap meal, if you are hungry.


Get a 300 peso massage at one of the many places on the 2 main streets, Hell get TWO!!!!!


Stop by the Palace Bar, The Blue Dolphin Bar or The Villa Chessa Bar, all monger owned and operated!!!!


Drive to BlackBeards in Costamber, monger owned as well!!!!


Chat with other mongers, make arrangements to hit The Puerto Plata Clubs, Crystals, El Boem, Mountainview, and Galatica to name a few. Cabs are rented by the night!!!! CHEAP!!!!

How far in miles is the Palace hotel to the beach? Do I need a visa to stay less than 45 days? Can one walk there? Is there any affordable gyms or weights to exercise and pass the down time? Also, in your experience are the girls shaving their bush or letting it grow. I never cared for furburgers when DATY.

In my experience most of the girls are shaved or have very short hair and I have even helped a couple to increase the portion that is shaved.

This winter I will be visiting Sosua. My prison will be villa flor. Many other flights and appartments are already fully booked. I think half of the Dutch population is on its way this winter. Crazy!

Does any one have any experience with villa flor. I am afraid its not "friendly" as most other places, but its the way it is. Please some more info about this place, and maybe some more about the surrounding area (of course I have been reading most of the messages in this forum, but I can't get enough).

Since this place is not all-in I wonder what a decent breakfast and dinner costs and where to go. And what is the price of a cold beer and a fancy cocktail near the beach?

A very good breakfist at La Roca is 90 or 100 pesos. A beer at the beach is notmally 30 -40 pesos. Dinner depends on the place. A good dinner with typical Dominican food you can get for less then 150 pesos in Cherimicos. Some more "international food" in Sosua or Cabarete for 300 to 2000 pesos depending on what you choose.

I heard of problems with ATMs down there like the card getting sucked in. Only chicas are supposed to suck! Another thing might be is say you want 6,000 pesos. Some ATMs have limits such as 4,000 pesos, etc.

I prefer cash and take some checks just in case I need to cash any while I am there and I take my ATM card.

I have been posting in Costa Rica and Curacao, would be glad to answer questions on those forums, but am now moving onto the D's. I'll be in the Dominican Republic January 23-30, 2004. My 2 buds and I are doing the all-inclusive at Sosua Bay Hotel. I know, I know, the un-girl friendly AI's. We don't like the long term girls usually, we're just big fans of doing the deed on location, so I've been trying to get feedback on short-term options in Sosua, Cabarete, and Puerto Plata. I mean strip clubs with rooms on premises, or anyplace like that with rooms on premises or safe short-term hotels close by. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

*** I don't use ATM cards, I prefer to load up on travelers checks. If you stay at a secure hotel with a security box you will not have a problem. Crystals is closed. Expect to reopen soon, apparently there was structural damage due to the earthquake and the govt. finally made them give some attention to it.
A couple of guys went to Mountainview and the girls tried to charge them 200$ U.S. for all night. The guys were experienced and laughed in their faces. Soon the price "dipped" back down to 2000 pesos or about 50$.

Well it is my final few hours here in the "D.R." and if you listen with the right kind of ears you can almost hear the engines of a 757 charging preparing to take me back to the US of A... back to anonimity....back to civility....back to my overdue Cablevision bill (those BASTARDS!!)
I came here again so quickly because of the cheap currency but found an amazing gfe and I may return again next month to see her again. (or at least to check and see if the rabbit died!)
I wish there was some kind of pill that they sold in a pharmacy in the US that could bring back the memories I have of this place if there was I would probably need at least 500 mg by this time tomorrow.
I look forward to going home but I also look forward to returning. As the writer Hunter S. Thompson would say "Just another freak returning to the freak kingdom."

My first posting of a trip report. Probably will not be anything
others haven't already written but what the hell. The trip reports I
read helped me immensely so if mine helps someone it was worth the
effort.

Tuesday 11/11/03 -

Arrive in POP - in and out of baggage check and customs in 15
minutes. Grab a cab to the Europa - $13.00. Check in , get changed,
change some money - 35.5-1, hit the streets. I walk no more than 100
yards and I hear someone speaking english and I make a comment to
him. We continue to walk together and he starts saying some things
that I know I have heard before. It was Nomad from Texas. He is
staying at the Blue Dolphin.

We proceed down to the beach where it is dead. Almost everything is
closed due to the strike. We go down to a place that I was at on my
previous trip in September - Siempre Sol (#145)owned by a great Dutch
gentleman by the name of Herman. We have a few beers and head back.
Nomad gives me a tour of the Blue Dolphin where I meet John - seems
like a nice enough guy. The bar is empty and we head over to the
Palace where it is also dead. There is no bar in there for you to
stop by to have a drink - contrary to previous posts.

We then head back down the street stopping a long the way at a few
bars finally settling on the Merengue where it is packed with chicas.
In a NY minute we are surrounded by 2 chicas a piece. I choose a
shorty who was a 7-8 and I head back with her to the Europa. Have a
short session with her for 500 pesos and I call it a night. I had
worked all day (0200-0930) prior to my flight on Tuesday and I was
used.

The weather is not the greatest. Like Florida, seems to rain whenever
it wants. Being a beach person it defimitely will not be a vacation
that I come back with any color. It still beats NYC this time for the
year.

Wednesday 11/12/03 -

Breakfast at La Roca - pretty good. Head back down the beach for a
walk. Go back to the Europa and get changed. Run into Nomad again and
we head back to beach where we stop at Mav's bar. Meet Mav and he
appears to be everything that is written about him. Nice guy, ton of
info and bar is in great location - first one on the beach. We hang
there for a few beers, settle our bill - yes we got the 10%
discount.Nomad and I head for a walk again where I bump into a chica
I was with on my last trip. We have a few beers again at Siempre Sol
and then we all leave. Nomad back to the Dolphin and me back to the
europa with the chica. She is not a pro - didn't pay her a dime last
time. Definitely looking to be my novia but no doing. I am to meet up
again with Nomad at the Dolphin bar but I wound up getting there 2
1/2 hours late. A great time with the chica went a little longer than
expected. She was into a lot more this time. Bbbj, daty, a lot of
kissing. very enjoyable. I would up giving her 500 pesos and she left.

I meet up with Nomad at the Dolphin and there are 4 chicas there and
2 other guys from Montreal. We leave and proceed to hit the Flamingo -
12-1 ratio, 4 roses and every bar on the strip heading down to the
Latino Club.

Whoever the wise man was who said all you have to do is stand in the
middle of the street and hold up your fingers for how many chicas you
want is right on the money. Every bar is packed with chicas. You do
not even have to make a run to POP to Crystals or El Boehm.

High Caribe is closed this night so it is a little more crowded than
usual. Unbelievable amount of chicas. Not all great looking but there
are many in the 8=9 range - packed. Take your choice! Nomad settles
on a chica we had met the night before and I am still scouting
turning away many as they approach. I finally meet up with a 21 year
old.

My dreams have come true. To me she is a 9.5 easily. I am a tough
judge of talent and if I were to paint a picture of my ideal woman
she is it. Beautiful face, tight slim body, curves in all the right
places and she frickin speaks english!!! We have a few drinks and we
leave with Nomad still hanging there.

Everything I could have hoped for. She is wearing a ridiculously
tight dress highlighting her unbelievable body. Bbbj, kissing,
more kissing, shower, doggie style, every which way but loose. She is
so tight and put together that I can handle her pretty easily and
flip her all over. A dream night. We sit and talk - english. A better
personality than her physical appearance if that is possible.

We never discuss money and she never asks for a penny. What is going
on here? This is too good to be true. She stays the night we go at it
again in the morning and I give her 1500 pesos when she leaves. I
would have given her 15,000 pesos she is that gorgeous and nice.

She gives me her number and I am debating whether to call her
today. High Caribe has a bikini contest tonight that should be
interesting. I would love to hang with here again but there are so
many chicas around why limit oneself? I am sure I will hit again
before I leave. Too good to be true.

Pesos up to 36-1 today and weather is pretty much the same. Who cares
about a little rain when you are in paradise.

Mongers near and far, hurry down here, the chicas are definitely
lacking for attentiion and seem to be in heat. Bargain basement
prices are readily available.

Al Kikuras - Hi there. Not sure about High Caribe as I was only there twice during my entire stay. I would be surprised to find out it isn't open 7 nights a week though.

I wouldn't really know what the hottest bars are in PP as I never went out there for mongering. As for Sosua, Merengue Bar seemed to be a big one. Plaza Caribe always seemed to be kicking but mostly locals.

I appreciate your comment about the salida at Plaza Caribe. A minor point is that the rate was 35 when I was there.
However, the main point of principle is I hate to think that anyone other than the girl is getting my money in these situations.

Another general thing to add about my report is that I had general probs getting BBBJ's. Practically all the girls agreed to it b4 but most had some sort of prob in sucking without a rubber. I found the same prob with all girls in Rio as well as most of the latino types I had in Madrid too. The same thing also with CIM or facials. They just refused to do this when it came to the crunch.

V. few girls actually even entertained the idea of anal. Fair do's to one or two who actually gave it a go but just couldn't go thro' with it.

Palace is sold out so I will be starting at The Europa where there
may be 10 other mongers staying as well. I want to do a couple of
days at Villa Chessa as well. Last trip in July I stayed at Caribe
Campo, which was fine but a long walk down the hill at night.
This trip I hope to meet a few of the heavy posters here such as Bill
and Jazzy. There will be the Beauty contest on Sunday and the day
trip to the river. So much to do in my very short 7 day trip. I have
to jam in my daily massage at M & M of course. Then there are the 2
beach bars to check out when ever possible. I will be back 3 weeks
after that for 12 days. Its a good thing there are so many chica
friendly hotels there now. Looking at the calandar, its packed there
with mongers. 6 more Days and counting!!!!!!

Just back from Sosua. The team is in place Fantasy, Swed and others have organized for the next weekend event. Girls were arriving this past weekend. They seem to be more playfull with smiles and bodies ready for action, the bars are happy playgrounds. The beach was average rain the past week and I mean rain. Amigo bar is open and guest are stopping to say hello. The normal talent was in town. The clubs High Crabie and Latino had new talent. Bikini contests was good turnout. Life is good.

I just returned yesterday from 6 great days in Sosua. Here is a
recap. I hope it helps.

Weather - rain for a while almost every day. Sun finally showed up on
Saturday and ofcourse Sunday when I was leaving.

Pesos - ranged from 35.5-1 when I arrived to 39.8-1 when I was
leaving. The best rate seemed to be from a man on the beach named
Mateo. Just ask for him everyone knows him.

Beach Bars -

Mav's bar - the Amigo bar #10 - is up and running. 10% off your bill
for all who are a member of this group. Mav great source of info and
a real nice guy. Just stay away from his tips on Cabarete!

NY Shark bar - #66 - Finally opened up yesterday after most of the
week was under construction. The had some nice looking chicas working
there yesterday trying to entice customers over.

Siempre Sol - #145 - My personal favorite. Owned by Herman - a great
guy who has probably the best business on the beach. Great food on an
outdoor barbeque, a great belgium beer called Duvel and 3 of the
nicest chicas working there. Service is better than great. What is
even better is that Herman seems to know every available chica around
and can be a great help to all. Tell him Walter from NY told you to
drop by and he will welcome you with open arms.

POP - made one run to Crystals and El Boehm. Same quality as when I
was down in September. Some absolutely beautiful, young chicas for
your choosing. I wound up taking a chica from Crystal's - 3000 pesos
all night - no salida. Bars across the street from Crystal's are also
packed with chicas however a little rough around the edges.

Sosua Bars -

Merengue was packed everynight with chicas just waiting for us to
come in. All shapes and sizes - take what you want for the night. It
was definitley the hot place in that area. The Flamingo bar always
had around 10-15 chicas working there, nothing great. Just walk down
the strip and stop at every bar along the way until you find
something you like - guaranteed!

Latino Club - packed the night I was there. This is where I met my
ultimate fantasy lady. Lucky me. It appears that a lot of the chicas
that were in all these bars on the strip make it to either the
Latinoi Club or the High Caribe at a certain hour.

High Caribe - again, packed with chicas. A lot of Haitian ladies in
there. It is all there for your choosing. I took one chica from
there - 500 pesos short time. She then started with everything that
Jimmy had said she would. It felt like I was reading one for Jimmy's
posts - my baby is sick, my mother is sick, etc, etc.

Mongers -

The best part of the trip after the chicas. Met Nomad my first 15
minutes after checking in while we walking down the street. We spent
most of the time mongering together. He is a frickin animal. If it
ain't nailed down, he will nail it. A great appetite for the chicas.
He is staying at the Blue Dolphin and I think John is making a
special wing just for him. He will never go back to Texas! The man
can drink with the best of them and had to have as many chicas as he
could get his hands on. If he reads this he will know what my name is
for him. Hey Nomad - 45 in NYC today!

The last 2 days there I met icemancool from Iceland (WSG group). The
guy is wasting living there. He would be a proud NYer. I kept calling
him a freak of nature because of his blonde hair and blue eyes. All
the chicas wanted to touch his hair. It was pretty funny to watch. He
knew how to play it off too. He had his share of chicas.

Europa -

Great price $31 night tax/ac included. Big rooms with a little
kitchenette area. Chica friendly - they just have to leave their ID
at the front desk.

Palace -

Only went over once. Seemed dead. I guess it was the quiet before the
storm of next week when everyone arrives. No bar to stop by and have
a drink at. One interesting thing was that 2 guys from Jersey had
reservations there and left there to come to Europa because they did
not like the feel of the place. Different strokes for different folks
I guess .

Blue Dolphin -

Pretty quiet as well. Usually had 3-4 chicas in the bar at night.
They are doing a lot of construction there to make the place better.
Should be pretty nice when it is done.

Food -

Mora Mai for breakfast - 55 pesos for eggs, bacon, toast, fruit. I
also ate at La Roca - same type of food a few pesos more. Not crazy
about PJ's. Most of my day time food was eaten at Siempre Sol - filet
mignon, great real meat burgers, shish kabob, fries, salad.

I hope this rather long recap was of some help to someone. That is
how I found out about a lot of things is by the racps.

Planning a return end of January. Already counting the days.....

Great report!! I'm heading to Sosua the end of January as well. It seems every club in Sosua is teaming with chicas. That leads me to my question for all DR mongers: Where is a safe, air-conditioned, short-term hotel to take all the girls I meet at Latino club, Merengue club, High Caribe, etc.??? My 2 buds and I just like 1-2 hour sessions. I'm doing an AI in Sosua but still want to party with the chicas a lot. I've posted extensively on Curacao and some in Costa Rica, so I'm more than happy to exchange info.

Saturday November 22, 2003:
Well my flight from JFK was actually 15 minutes early for a change. I chatted with this mo, nger from Brazil that I met on the plane. Brazil sounds even better from a guy that lives there.
Arrived at POP and was greated by fao from my Insearchofchicas and my novia. Went over to The Europa and checked in. Exchanged some money at 39 - 1. WOW!!!! Quickly saw Jazz and The Natural and headed over to the Bolgna bar for Ice Cappicinnos. We were joined by the Swede.
At 7PM while I waited to get picked up by Feo and his Novia, I saw Mihilda, from trip #5. It has been a long time and she had a baby and put on a little weight, but still looks good. Izzy and I, Feo and his novia all then headed to the campo for shrimp dinners which cost all 4 of us $20. It was good.
Afterwards we headed to the Blue Dolphin bar and Brooklyn Beas and his gang all took over that hotel, w:ere there and the famous Nomad as well. Linda was there as usual.
I took a tour of town, High Caribe had chicas there and The Latina club had some chicas. I saw Lori and Johani workimg at their usual spot as well. The town was very lively at midnight.
The exit fee is now 1,000 pesos at crystals which is $25. Its always $25 and he always adjusts it for the flux.

Sunday November 23, 2003:
Well I started with the internet then saw Jazzy and he showed me his 2 condos for rent. Both have 2 bedrooms and are $475 for 7 nights. Nice big pool with security and you can come and go with chicas. Then we looked at the new luxury hotel in Caberete with 223 rooms for $60 per person per night. A 2 minute walk to Casa de Equipo.
I returned and hung at beach bar #66 for a bit then onto my 300 peso massage.
I returned to Mav's bar #10 where skygoggles and his 2 buddies were hanging. LaJazz, was with a chica and was cruising the bars with West Fla as well. In town was Swede and Fantasy moving from bar to bar. Brooklyn Beas and his gang were hanging at The Dolphin with their chicas. Mister NYC was getting ready to hit the town!! I took a few turns around the town and saw numerous chicas that I had been with in the past. Ended up at the High Caribe for the beauty contest. There were 14 entries. It got started at 2am and I was in bed at 3am.
I was talking to a few mongers and there were willing to put in 10,000 ($250) per man for a great big contest next year. If we can get the pot up to 500,000 pesos we will get the best selection of talent from this country!

Monday November 24, 2003:
The peso is at 40.30 to the dollar! Lots of hanging out. I was cruising, first I saw Ruthie from a previous trip and said I would return but then I saw Mahilda again but this time we went back to the hotel for some wild sex, a very nice massage then onto The Blue Dolphin to hang with Mav, Nomad and the gang. I gave her a gift. Later on I had dinner with Izzy her friend and Mav. LaJazz and his gang hit Puerto Plata again. I saw Trainwreak in town, he just arrived. After 2 days at The Europa it turns out Big D is in the next room, WOW!! Wondering around I checked out The Latina club at 11PM and Midnight and it was light there. High Caribe was closed. The Merengue bar had a crowd and one chica started at 1,000 but lowered to 700 pesos. I saw 8 chicas that I wanted, 5 I had done in the past and 2 I ended up doing.
I spotted this 21 year old very light skinned chica so off we went. What a BJ she gave!!! I handed her 500 and she left. Thats $12.50!!!!!
The peso is at 40.30 to the dollar!

3 days served at The Europa now spending the last 3 at The Palace. Started the day with Maria giving me a 500 peso message in my room. Hit Caberete with Mav and checked out the massage places. They want 400 pesos for the hour. I saw a few chicas roaming the crowded streets here. Onward to meet Uni and he gave me the VIP cards. We had dinner in Caberete, and it was 1,100 for 4 persons.

Back to Sosua and we hung At The BD bar where there were many mongers laying around. Peso is over 41 to the dollar!!!!!

Seems like the Blue Dolphin has the same problems as The Palace, a monger gave their maid 20,000 and she quit!!! Palace now has a toothless old maid cleaning the place. Do you want her????

At 11:30 we were drinking at the bar by the Latina club and it seemed like everyone in town came by there!!!!! It was the center of the monger universe!!!!

You can hang alone, meet up with a few mongers for a drink then move on in this great town.

Got picked up by Feo and went about an hour away to the river. Had a meal in the mountains and returned to Sosua. Got my usual 300 peso massage at M & M
located at Alejo Martinez Strasse #1 Plaza Colonial #15. Cel # 272-0130.
Spoke to some candates for sex and set up a few different times. Peso is @ 42 to the dollar.
Had some coffee and drinks with various mongers in town. They are everywhere!!!!

Started the day with breakfast at One Residential, only 100 pesos. One of the chicas from yesterday showed up and we went to a sleezy hotel in Sosua Bajo where the room was 100 pesos. She is 18 and cute married to a German Guy. Had a nice hour with her and gave her a gift of 500 pesos. Peso is 42 to the dollar now.
Went with Mr Natural to La Roca for a members only 65 peso great lunch. Feo and Uni joined us along the way. Now all my club members get that deal plus tax with the card. Its $2.50 for a choice of 10 nice items.
Onward to the beach from 2PM to 6:30PM hanging at the shark bar, #66. All club members get 10% off here as well. Pictures to follow soon. Joann and Teresa joined us and the owners were there renovating and serving up drinks.

Hung out at Mavs bar at the Blue Dolphin until 8:30 then about 10 of us had Thanksgiving at La Roca, $10 and it was GOOD!

Onward to Puerto Plata, Mister NYC his driver and me. Mountainview was light, Crystals was jumping, use the club card for a discount there from now on (Salida is 1,100 which is roughly $27.50 and the chicas are asking 4,000) and El Boem was packed (Chicas were asking 3,500 complete) . Gattica was BAD!!!!
Long beach was hopping as well. Those chicas were asking 1,000 to 2,000 pesos for the night. We goy one 22 year old to go back to Sosua with us and for 600 pesos she gave me head then MisterNYC head, went back to the house for a photo shoot then blow me again. Nice deal we guess.

2am entered the Latina club which was light the High Caribe which was packed.

Hope this helps. Actually you really don't need a map. Walk down the main drag towards the beach and you will see just abut every place JDR has talked about. Blue Dolphin is on the opposite corner of the street that the Palace on. Not on this map.

I just got back on Wed. and am returning on Saturday for 3 months. Have an apartment at the Dolphin. If you need someone to show you around, stop by and ask for Don/Nomad. I love it in Sosua.

I am sorry to hear that Claudia (maid at the Palace) quit since she definitely "wasn't too tough on the eyes". I also think I know the monger who was responsible for throwing her the money. He was down there during one of my trips and was absolutely CRAZY for that girl! (nuts is what he was - she isn't all that)

I will be back in Sosua next weekend, December 6th (last minute cancellation from my plans to go to Panama City) and will post as I can - unfortunately I will be down there and involved in something else so I can't go too crazy! It will be fun driving the town again, though.

Need some help! Decided to come down to Sousa for a 4 day trip and I am having problems finding a O.K. flight from Minnepolis (MSP) to POP. The best I can find has 2 stops, and 13+ hours Airport to Airport. The problem is getting to Miami before the 11 a.m. flight to POP and the return is worst, with a one night stay in Miami. Is there any other flights that I can not find on the internet between MIA and POP, besides American. Or any other routing that anybody know about? Any help would be GREAT!

You can get there in one shot by going to Santiago instead. It is about 25 miles from POP. You leave MSP in the afternoon direct to MIA then transfer arriving in Santiago (STI) in the evening (on American Airlines). Might be a better option than overnighting.

Thanks to all of you DR mongers for your informitive posts and to the weak DR Peso, my semi annual voyage will make its way to the DR. The Euro is just to strong these days to take in the FKK scene in Germany, the clubs and privates in Prague, etc., etc. Unfortunately, my trip from the midwest to POP was $800 on American. Other than the air travel costs, looking forward to some splendid days in Sousa. My first time (virgin) mongering dates for the DR are Dec 9 to 23. If any of you are around Sousa these dates, look me up. I plan on visiting all the different places mentioned in the forum around Sousa and PP with detailed reports to follow. Might even take a short jaunt to Cuba if possible. If you happen to be there before me, leave me a little bit. By the way, are you guys like me? Meaning - are you thinking about getting your next nut while you are getting a nut.

IMO, AA has a monopoly on POP from MIA. Unless I'm mistaken, they are the only airliner flying non-stop from MIA. I'm sure AA knows why so many men travel to DR. It's not pumping oil, it's pumping.

Continental has direct flights from Newark EWR to POP for $580.

I paid $600 round trip from Denmark to MIA this coming April. That's over 4500 miles. There's no reasonable explanation why a 2 hr. flight from MIA costs so much unless my suspictions are correct.

I can fly from MIA til Sao Paulo (7-8 hr. flight) for less than I am paying from MIA to POP.

Does anyone have another answer?

I have come out of hibernation to post aain.

I was in Sosua in Oct and the going rate for prime puntang was mil pesos but I was paying 600 - 800 (with a few free bees from girls I know). Thats when the exchange rae was 3 to 1 so you do the mat. Thre were plenty of guys paying 1500 pesos but that becase they dont know any better. You must keep 3 things in mind when pussy hunting in Sosua, namely:

1) Always haggle and agree on YOUR price beforehand.

2) Let them know you are not a dumb gringo but are wise to the ways of the DR (I am). Otherwise, they will take advantage of you.

3) Observe and apply the simple laws of Supply vs. Demand. When there are 20 putas in the merengue bar and 3 tourists, you can pretty much haggle a puta down to well below "market value"

It helps to speak Spanish too.

So, I am returning in Janurary. What have you guys been paying these girls?

Newbie report from a newbie. This afternoon I got a dollar exchange to DR peso at 37.5. Was 41.8 at the airport upon arrival. Overcast all day, but hasn't rained. Surf's up in the bay. Suggest you get one of the best rates at the airport cambio before coming to town. I got a taxi for 10 bucks. The sign to the right of the exit says $15. Heard you can take a ( gua-gua )or minivan and share a ride with others for about 20 pesos on the main road to Town. Can recommend the Siemprie Sol beach bar in the center of Sosua beach. My meal was good for about $2.20. Pork brochette, salad, fries. Bottled water .50 cents. The owner gave me the 411 on a friendly guy named Mapelio. He walks the beach path from 10 am till 230 pm and will change most currencies. Looks about 48, is balding, carries a big wad of pesos in palm and gave me the best rate over the cambio's. Even the cambios will negotiate exchange over what is posted on the board. There are a few freelancers cruising the beach path so choose a bar and enjoy the water on one side and the pedestrians on the other. The beach is rather small and takes about 6 minutes to walk one end to the other. In town, I find the action is definitely on weekends and later evenings. The finest girls are usually taken by someone, so if you find one alone, better hurry. Plenty enough girls to go, but hard to find the "one." The High caribe disco about a mile and a half north of town,( or looking at the beach and go right) There are regular girls and their boyfriends, but you will know a freelancer because they are aggressive and will approach you. This place has transvestites. Not alot but they are there. Very friendly proprietor in Rocky's bar and lodging , but hard to find and usually sold out for $15.00 girl friendly and fan room . Next door to Rocky's is the Cowgirl bar, but have to pay a 300 salida (exit fee) + girls pay. Or you can bang them , 200p bar fine on premises. Nice selection of about 10 cuties. I have to say that the D.R. is not like in Thailand, where the girls are all business. Some of the most beautiful ones working in the bar have to be courted and requires time and effort. Am finding most of the pro's have at least 1 kid. Got a stripper at the upstairs bar next to Europa hotel. Asked her to come to my room after shift over to save myself the 500p salida. Gave her 1000p (too much?) for a short time. DFK is very available here. Internet is 40b/hr in the White horse internet cafe. It is slower than the Nice clean fast mosquito free cafe down the street that has the Super Super cigar store on the corner. Some street freelancers will take 500p or less s/t. Many do not have (documento) or I.D. so they may not be admitted to some girl friendly hotels like the Europa. (Recommended). Hotel Voramar is too far away for me as I like to walk to and from the beach and action. The blue dolphin hotel is too expensive, half way thru construction, but seems to have a future for high end mongers. Friendly proprietors. Fine expensive chicks are invited to the bar there cus the owners let them drink for free. The Sosua palace hotel is kind of a hyped up dive that does not justify the $46. price tag imho. I hardly saw any girls there and the ones I saw were just avg. to poor. Was talking to one expat who says he pays girls 1000 s/t on the beach but everyone else says 500 s/t and 1000 l/t. Got to go with the high concensus. Have fun!!

Newbie report con't. Finding out the beautiful girls working behind most bars will work their shift then go home to their boyfriends. Or until someone better comes along. A big waste of time if you are on a short trip. This almost seems like trying to get some white puzzy in the U.S. The sharks that hit you up aggressively like in the Meringue' bar almost always end up badly. Some girls will try to get you to pay up front before action once they are in your room. DON'T DO IT. They may look good, but if are talking fast, they are probably hyped up on some drug and will steal/not deliver as discussed, or even threaten to stay in your room if you do not pay extra. Found out many girls will make appointments with you and then blow you off. Discovered that the D.R. girls are some of the worst prostitutes in the world when it comes to stealing/lying and cheating. I have had alot better treatment/selection/ and service in other places of the world. Why is it that all girls here that approach you and say hello will ask you for a drink within 2 minutes? Who in hell is training them to act like western horz? Be very careful of those expats that live there and befriend you. They may have other reasons for being friendly. Like the (english?) guy who tried to lay a sob story on me and begged for money. I have entered alot of negative in this report, but had to get it off my chest. Have had a couple of very good GFE experiences, but overall if you are choosing a destination for girls, # of bars,hotels, GFE experience, honesty, overall value and slection, and food, the D.R. ranks well below Thailand and the Philippines. A closed door party is a private party in which we (That is Feo and myself) rent a hall (A shack with a roof), have a live band and food and drinks. What many don't know is that there are a few hundred little towns and villages within 30 minutes of Sosua and Puerto Plata. Here you can learn to dance if you want to, have Dominican food, prepared in the local restaurants. We will have waiters working for tips running around to get you things.

Its really very cheap and its a great source of finding raw talent. I think our first one will be December 29th near Caberete. I will post the numbers of taxi drivers that know how to get there, not crooks and you can stop by. There will be an admission charge of 100 pesos ($2.50) to cover the rent.

If you speak a little Spanish, I guess you will meet about 10 chicas within yelling range of the front door.

This is an option to going to Crystals and paying 4,000 pesos when all you really have to do is spend 200 pesos for food and beer and end up with a chica.

In that case I suggest telling them the entrance fee is 500 pesos so they will lose interest. I also suggest that you tell any of the guys that attend not to wave around a lot of money. Try to impress the girls into free sex or give the girls a few hundred pesos in the morning for "breakfast" or "clothes" or what have you. No need to ruin them all by turning them into pros. Trust me, they will be happier getting 300 pesos from a gringo or just thinking that they have a gringo boyfriend than they would be leaving the party alone and broke. newbie report con't. Sun has poked its head out maybe 10 minutes total today. There are alot of cops around the Meringue bar shooing and arresting the freelancers. Was told that if they are walking or hanging around solo, they are subject to arrest. The girls will rush to talk/sit by a tourist when in cop presence. So many ugly ones, very few 7-8's. Went to Puerto Plata downtown yesterday to look around. Costs 20p/person each way via a car you catch on the main drag and share with locals when the car fills up. Cheaper is the gua-gua or bus that is 10-15 pesos and makes more stops. The latter drive like maniacs. I didn't see anything interesting. Was dropped off at the center of town which had a big municipal building and a park. Did buy a part for my moped to bring back home. Was a light/horn combination switch with brake lever attatched for 300p new. Great deal. Walked into "one ocean place hotel". This place I was told is girl friendly, $450. u.s. per month and close to action with great internet, (fast) and calls to u.s. for 6p per minute. If I return to D.R. will probably stay there. When charging room to credit card, make sure you negotiate rate for pesos. They will negotiate your room rate in dollars, but will charge you high exchange for your dollar on your card. (you want LOW peso rate for your dollar.) Wish I didn't pay my room up front. Next time will try different lodging. Need to tell people coming here that during rainy season, there is absolutely nothing to do here in Sosua. There are no malls, no movie theatres, the place is kind of a 1 horse town. No 7-11's, no Mickey d's or Burger king. Day time mongering is almost non existant.

Was told that if they are walking or hanging around solo, they are subject to arrest. The girls will rush to talk/sit by a tourist when in cop presence. So many ugly ones, very few 7-8's. Went to Puerto Plata downtown yesterday to look around. Costs 20p/person each way via a car you catch on the main drag and share with locals when the car fills up. Cheaper is the gua-gua or bus that is 10-15 pesos and makes more stops. The latter drive like maniacs. I didn't see anything interesting. Was dropped off at the center of town which had a big municipal building and a park. Did buy a part for my moped to bring back home. Was a light/horn combination switch with brake lever attatched for 300p new. Great deal. Walked into "one ocean place hotel". This place I was told is girl friendly, $450. u.s. per month and close to action with great internet, (fast) and calls to u.s. for 6p per minute. During the off season the rooms are around $300 per month. If I return to D.R. will probably stay there. When charging room to credit card, make sure you negotiate rate for pesos. Europa gives their regular customers the same rate when charging. They will negotiate your room rate in dollars, but will charge you high exchange for your dollar on your card. (you want LOW peso rate for your dollar.) Wish I didn't pay my room up front. Next time will try different lodging. Need to tell people coming here that during rainy season, there is absolutely nothing to do here in Sosua. There are no malls, no movie theatres, the place is kind of a 1 horse town. No 7-11's, no Mickey d's or Burger king. Day time mongering is almost non existant Player Doroda Resort has a shopping area, movies and fast food places. Its 20-25 minutes by car.

I am once again writing you from the Internet cafe/exchange bank in downtown Sosua. 4th trip in 4 months. I am locked in an all inclusive with my (former cowgirl bar chica) Anjela, and enjoying every minute of my vacation. Some of these girls are absolute putas and will never be anything else, but other girls are different and the more time you spend here the easier and easier it gets to spot the good ones. Once you get in their heads and their hearts, man o man do they give you everything they have and anything you could ever want! (plus its free now!)

Even though I have been hanging with my chica I have still made it out to see what the action looks like. Also have been hanging with Fantasy alot. Clubbing with him, eating with him and he is a good guy and a good contact. He seems to be juiced in to all the action down here and is an invaluable source of information.

Info for future travelers. There seems to be a series of concerts scheduled to be held at the High Caribe Disco and at the Sosua Car Wash for the next several weeks. Big name acts like Sergio Vargas, Fernando Villanova, Elvis Martinez are performing and every girl in Sosua will be there. I hit the Sergio Vargas concert the other night and it was real good. If you are a burn out former Van Halen, Aerosmith fan like me the music is actually listenable and when the concert is over the chicas are swarming everywhere. The concerts start at about 11.00 PM and ends around 2.30 AM. Unfortunately, you will probably have to hang in until the concert is over but at 2.30 the choices are amazing! It costs 300 pesos to get in (7 bucks) so for this very high price there are alot of girls who would also LOVE an invitation to the concert for any real generous mongers who are interested in a date. Many girls can't afford to go without help.
Latin Club Disco is also open on most nights but it does the best when the High Caribe Disco is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Soon the High Caribe will be open 7 nights a week (starting around Christmas week) so the Latin Club will be hurting, no doubt.
Avoid the Cowgirl Bar!! I have been hanging in there just about every night for a couple of hours and Bachata dancing with my girl (a former employee). There are not alot of good looking girls left in there, but the two or three, that are cute, are SICK! Through word of mouth and by hanging in there I found out that two or three of the "most popular" have infection de sangre. (blood infections) They told my girl in private and she told me. I'm sure if I just walked in off the street they wouldn't exactly mention this little piece of information over drinks! I´m sure this is a problem all over the north coast but the information I´m giving you here is CONFIRMED!

Been to Sosua Palace 3 times now and plan on returning soon. I was a big Boca Chica fan up intill the last 9 months when Boca Chica just went right down hill. Was a good thing the 1st time I went there back in 97. Most of Boca Chica girls look all beat up & worn out. Sosua seems to be the happening place now but I hope the same thing doesn't happen here as did to Boca Chica. I highly recommend The Sosua palace for any single guy looking to hook up with some cute Broads. remember Sosua is not like Cancun Mexico, where you have drunk college kids every where you look going to NYC style discos. If thats what youre looking for go to Cancun, I did when I was in college. Sosua is laid back, cuteDominican girls on the beach, in the bars & clubs. And you won't be paying $6 a beer or $8 for a drink like in the Cancun clubs. In the the high carib club your looking at 60 pesos a beer which is like $1.20.. no biggie.. The Sosua Palace is a nice place to stay, rooms are clean, good water preasure, safe deposit box, hot water, cable tv, hot tub, and in a good location. The owner John, what a great guy, will help arrange taxi service or what ever you need for you. You people that come to the Palace are mostly guys in there 30's or 40's, and don't act like savages, like I said your not gonna have young 18 year olds drunk and throwin up all over the place like Cancun is sometimes. This place is for guys to relax, meet some cute girls, drink and have a relaxing time. I've never had a problem with any of the Palace girls trying to steal nothing.. but always take reasonable means to safe guard important stuff. (put it in the safe, hide the key, then let the girl in your room) Theres a place across from the palce called the Blue Dolphin, Didn't see any good looking girls there, and the owner guy, some fat old dude was askin me too many questions, felt a little uncomfotable, don't think I'll be going back there since theres nothing going on there except a pool with no water.

Flights out of Calgary direct to Porta Plata leave on Wed and return the following Wed and run about $900 to $1100 CAN. I am going to try and find a last minute cut rate and might be able to shave that by a 1/3. Now I just have to decide on a hotel in Sousa. The Palace looks good, not sure about the others. Don't buy tickets through Aeromar. They are indeed facing severe financial troubles. From a general information based Dominican Republic board I am on, several of the posters there have been taken: can't get refunds, just kept their money and they are still selling tickets knowing they won't be flying, have rerouted in earlier stages passengers to Aerocontinente, but as of this time: people possessing Aeromar tickets can't fly into the DR and they aren't being compensated.

This is a problem with non us based airlines/major airlines. I have flown once to the DR with US airways and all other times with AA. I will stick with stability and a FF mile program knowing a carrier has more than just a few planes, if a flight is delayed I can hop on the next one of that airline or be comped and flown on another one at my carrier's expense, etc. I would rather pay an extra 30US and get FF miles and have peace of mind, than flying on an iffy airline that could go belly-up about a year after entering the market. What makes me mad is that Aeromar is still selling tickets, not having their flights, refusing to return money, and knowing that they are going to be taking the person's money:(

Well I'm back from my 4th trip to the "DR" in as many months.
I got back on Monday and I still have yet to recover from those marathon flights that I had to endure. Incl. delays and delays and delays 11 hours down and 9 hours back to JFK. :(

My final night "in country" I went to the Fernando Villalona concert at the Sosua Car Wash with my girl Anjela, John the owner of the Palace and his girl Ruth. John doesn't go out much so it was nice to get together. I wanted to put this out there so people will appreciate that my comments are certainly not totally objective - but here goes!

I think that anyone who is planning a trip to Sosua should look no farther than The Sosua Palace for his hotel selection. John offers a wide range of accomadations from modest studios to spacious two-bedroms all the way up to the rather exotic penthouse. The rooms are reasonably priced and the best thing is that for your stay you will get John's full atention to your needs. John is an easy going, likable guy who once you talk to for 15 minutes you'll feel like you've known for a lifetime. (I'm sure we have all known someone like that) He's a person who will do everything in his power to make you happy and your stay memorable. I think the problem is that some people have unreasonable expectations of what their stay will be like.

I think the average "newby" to the Palace believes that his arrival will begin after he has traversed a meticulously groomed lawn and he is "announced" at the front gate. Once at the entrance he will be greeted by a Mariachi band, two flamingo dancers and a bartender that looks like Isaac from the Love Boat. He will then be presented with a colorful, gooey rum drink (complete with umbrella) and a menu of all the "House" activities that will be commencing soon - and to which his presence is of course expected. (Afterall its considered to be every man's fantasy for a week).

The reality, I'm afraid, is somewhat different. To get to the Palace you will travel down a rocky/dirt road to the entrance where you will likely be greeted by Luka, a diminutive dark-skinned Haitan with a pair of pliers in his hand. (There's always something that needs tightening!) There is no bartender who looks like Isaac - in fact there's really no bar and the only music, typically, is whatever is "piped in" from the Haitan pulperia across the street. However, once you unpack, relax, and just let the Palace develop slowly.

There's always a friendly gathering of mates that make there way down to the bar area, there is always an attractive assortment of ladies who make there way into the pool area looking for fun and now with the new maid that was just hired I think you are getting very good accomadations, a very attentive staff, at a very attractive price and all with the potential of a very exciting and unforgetable trip! Give it a try I'm sure after your trip is over you will want to return again and again.

John's business is actually doing quite well and he has scores of very happy repeat customers - the problem is these "experienced" travelers have become lethargic and (with the exc. of *******) no longer post on this board or any other. People tend to write much less frequently when they're happy - only when they're upset or angry. Its only human nature.:)

Aeromar Airlines has promised to pay a collective US$1.5 million to ticket holders recently left stranded in New York. Meanwhile, a group of travel agents has asked President Hipolito Mejia to intercede in order to get another carrier for the marooned Aeromar passengers. They referred to the two Air Atlanta 747s currently parked at the Cibao International Airport awaiting their charter passengers from Punta Cana as a possible solution to the crisis. According to Juan Carlos Nunez, president of American Worldwide Travel, there are 5,500 Dominicans stranded in New York City. Aeromar said that although there may be as many as 6,000 passengers stranded in New York, they will only reimburse between 2,500 and 3,000 ticket holders, as the rest held reservations but had not paid for their tickets. Those Aeromar customers who had paid their passage in full can go to their travel agents or company offices to receive their refunds, according to Ryan Polanco, the company's vice-president.

John is always on hand and completes everything that is needed. The palace is well kept big rooms and Luca gets you what is need.

I have to agree with you that people going to DR and staying at the Palace must be very happy with their trip, but they don't post the action they encounter. I read the JDR stuff and go to his site, but I miss the details. You know we all live a DR fantasy though the trips of the folks that go. NO we don't want lies, but we want detail. Especially the detail of the people to want out for, both good and bad.

Most of all, where are the pictures? The Photos in the gallery are old, and I know the action is still "HOT". I have saw the Palace regulars, but a few new pix will be nice. and pix of new DR ladies are very Welcome! Put me a few legs and booty shots in it for me. I am a "legz" and booty man.

All-in-All, the DR board is the best to read, because the Police are hardly ever involved, the ladies are sexy and foxy, the men don't have many problems, and the trip really is more like a trip to Fantasy Island than just a vacation.

Once I get my things out of the way, I want to take my first trip. Hopefully airfare will be a lot kinder to my wallet and burget. There is no direct flights from Cincinnati, and no special prices.

I've been going to DR so much that my passport no longer had anymore visa spaces for them to stamp and I was getting funny looks from custom officials. Its very simple to add pages to your passport & its free, just download the DS-19 form and print it.

There is an option to pay $60 for expedited service. I did not use this option and I expected it to take 4-6 weeks. I got my passport back in 1 week to my suprise with a bunch of fresh visa pages stuck in the middle of the passport with a raised seal stamp.

There are many passport services on the internet that do this service for large fees $70- $100. Do not use them, there is no need! Just follow my advice above!

Well, its finally over and I am kind of glad. Returned from Sosua and have mixed feelings. First of all IMHO, that the owners and investors of a couple of hotels like the Sosua Palace and Blue Dolphin are using this forum as an advertising medium and have others post nothing but favorable comments about their hotels. Be careful and beware. YMMV. Feel free to check their business out, but you can and will find cheaper and better and nicer locations than those "hyped" in here. For example, the One Ocean Place complex is very nice but not on the main street so you may not even know its there. Girl friendly, the best, cheapest, a/c- internet in Sosua. I wondered why most guys come here for lightning fast trips of 4-10 days and now I know why. Sosua has limited food and women selection. You may eventually yearn for american fast food if you stay longer than 2 weeks but you will be out of luck in the immediate area. Local food prepared by the beach can make you sick. Just look at the eyes of the fish they are frying and watch their sanitation habits. You may lose your appetite. Your wait will sometimes be agonizingly long for your meal. La Roca is about as close to home as you will find. Across the street is Morua Mai, but the food I had was tasteless and bland. The spaghetti at La vida loca spaghetti house tastes good and is cheap but takes about 30 minutes to get and the skank hookers they allow to hang around the joint can take your appetite away. They have a bar of soap and a bowl full of cloudy water to wash your hands and everyone elses. Do they do this in Italy I wonder? Again, at Morua mai, The french onion soup tasted like watered down instant with a thin slice of cardboard melted on top. The pizza was good size but they skimp on tomato sauce, so was very dry. I also hate it when the restaurants add the 22% to your bill automatically for tax and tip. P.J. steakhouse does this also, but La Roca doesn't. They don't have to, because most places don't. It's just more profit. Cigars- I scored a sealed box of 20 authentic La Habanera crystal's in glass tubes for 1000p. They are 100p each cigar at the Super Super store or 150p ea. at the airport. The dominican made fakes sold in town and beach side with the glass top humidor box of 25 churchills was negotiated down to 300p. These fakes smoke fairly well, but are inconsistent in pack quality and the resulting burn may also be uneven. Make sure you open the box and check a few out. Another guy complained of green leaves. For americans going home, according to the U.S. customs website, you can bring back 100 non cuban cigars and 200 cigarettes. The women- did notice that most dominican women have this strong foul stench that emits from their pussy after pumping them for a while. 95% of them. Even after asking them to wash very good down there. Good luck, and I suggest your fan or a/c be running while doing the nasty. Most girls look basically like black american girls (the haitians) with straightened or dyed hair. The dominicans in Sosua are medium to dark black girls mixed with spanish blood. Almost all (thankfully) are not fat fukks like american women. Very nice figures on many working girls. Day action is very limited. A few freelancers during the day on the streets or cruising the beach, but most come out at night or after they finish working their day job. Most have scars or tattoos somewhere on their body and at least one child they are providing for. Many saggy titts. I stayed for a month in Sosua and toward the end was tired of seeing the same girls I did in days past, during the night and day walking around or in the markets, etc. The community is very small. For those who like to stay with one girl, you will have no problem. I like my variety and found it hard to find top notch girls who would take 1000p or less short time and not rush. I hung around with a dude I met, and he was very happy, because he was into girls I would never touch. But hey, to each his own. The lowest price girl was this owner of a bar on pedro clisante st. I continually carressed and massaged and talked to her then bought her a drink. Wasn't sure if she was a pro or not. Older but really really turned me on. I walked her home after closing since she lives near my hotel. Asked her in and she stayed all night. She showed me the inside of her apartment the next day and I Was going to the beach and she asked for some money to go to Santo Domingo. I gave her all I had in my pocket. 150p. We parted and I still saw her around in days following, greeting me with that 2 cheek kiss and asking where I'm going and if I had a novia yet. One of the best times of my trip, but I had other conquests on my mind. Had a couple of girls I threw out for not willing to wash their box, or bad attitude or demanding 1000p for sub par service even though no price was discussed. I think its best to negotiate service and price and time before going in your room. Some had the balls to ask for payment up front. NO WAY. Changing pesos back to dollars at the airport was weird. I am very familiar with Sosua and thought your report was good. The Blue Dolphin and the Sosua Palace are exactly as you stated---overpriced and hyped-up. I personally like the Europa much better. I disagree with you in that I find the food in Sosua to be good, except for El Toro steak house which is not good at all. Waiting a long time for your meal is a problem everywhere in the DR. As far as the girls go, I think you paid too much at 1000 pesos. I talked them down to 700 or 800 pesos on my last trip 2 months ago and got quality girls for that. The "regular girl" that you banged and gave 150 pesos to for carfare or whatever it was is the way to go down there. If you can find a nice poor girl who will bang you an dosen't ask for money, it's a good idea to give her 2 or 3 hundred pesos every few days to get her hair done or whatever. This keeps her coming back and makes it much easier on your wallet than shelling out 800 pesos to a new girl every night. You have the right idea in negotiating and refusing to overpay. Lets keep the prices down so we can continue have our fun. I am looking forward to taking another trip in a couple of months. I will have a detailed report upon my return.

i disagree with your assesment of my pay scale for hookers. according to my taste, the women i was really attracted to almost always asked for 1500-2000 pesos initially and were bargained down from there. i would gladly pay 1000 or even 1500 if i found girls that really really got me that excited. these women in sosua are extremely rare. ymmv. the average price i paid for my girls was 700p and bought very few ladies drinks. in a couple of cases, no price was discussed and i gave them 400-500p if the service was poor and unsatisfactory. i am no newbie when it comes to hooring and the girls you bang may make me laugh and vice versa. overall the selection and quality of women in sosua is poor to average when compared to south east asia. i am not the type to shell out a few hundred pesos to keep a girl on a string. i pay when services are rendered. why eat the exact same thing everyday? variety is the spice of life. i enjoy the sampler platter and can afford it. the europa can be a pain in the azz if your girl doesn't have an id. it's not too bad if your looking for american standard rooms. lots of mosquitos and peeling paint. the a/c's are noisy and pool is more like an ice cold jacuzzi. the 2nd floor is not connected to the house generator for 24 hr electricity. say a few prayers and hold onto your rosary if you get "diego" the manager to take you to the airport. he really drives like a maniac. no shiit! someone tell him that jeep cherokee is not a porsche.

I have to agree with SousaDoctor when it come to money for a woman in Sousa. Every woman at first will ask for 1500 peso or more, if you pay it, she wins, no matter what her quality is. If they sense that this is your first time, they will try for all the marbles. Why not, I would too. Since the peso almost hit rock bottom, most guys don't care that they are paying way too much, especially guys who come once a year. If you meet a nice woman who is not hardended & americanized, then why not give a few hundred pesos. A few hundred pesos is about $5, that really doesn't hurts your pocket. I'm surprised being not a newbie, you didn't discuss price, as long as your in areas where there are lots of pros, you have to discuss price. Would you buy a used car without discussing price? Now if your outside the pro areas (Santiago, the Colonial Zone for example) and meet a nice woman at the supermarket or beach, then I wouldn't discuss price, might ruin the moment.

One thing your right about is the women in Sousa aren't the best (not bad) that DR has to offer and neither is Blue Dolphin & Sousa Palace for a good nights rest, I usually stay at Casa Linda. These places are good for a guys first time in DR who don't know there way around & don't rent a car, if you don't want to see more of DR then a small town like Sousa, then the Palace is good for you.

Some of my friends on there first trips to DR thought the girls at the Palace were great and I'm sure they are still, but after going to Puerta Plata, Santiago and other areas, I don't find them as attractive as the women there are. Matter of Taste.

I would tend to agree with Bil's report myself. As a newbie I went to the DR early December via Santiago. While in Santiago, I visited Casa Blanca & Passion Night Clubs. I did not take any girl to the room/hotel because in both places, the girls were asking 2,000 -3,000 pesos at least minimum 2,000 peso's. I thought that was too high. At least based on my taste/preferance for quality. I thought Casa Blanca had the better made women than Passions. And unlike Sousa, there were many light girls. The Lesbian show at Casblanca was great as the girls do it for real.

Fast forward to Sousa: I arrived at the Sousa Palace and was met by Luca. There is no reception area or formal check in procedure with a paper trail like in a regular hotel but the Sousa Palace is a Chika hotel and not a regular hotel anyway. I spoke to John, the owner via another monger's cell phone and John is a very nice guy. I did also meet with John in person. As there are not many choices for similar establishments in Sousa, I think the Sousa Palace compares favourable with the other hotel i.e Dolphin. Please note the other hotel - Europa is a regular hotel!

Considering Sousa Palace is owned by an American (most business European owned mainly German) and a fellow monger, I think patronising it is not a bad idea. I am not here to endorse any hotel business. However, my experience at th Sousa palace was favorable given what is available in Chica-friendly accomodation. The beauty of the Sousa Palace is that there are other mongers staying there you can meet. On my first night, I went to a buffet dinner & drinks at a resort with 3 other monger's and it was great. Also, there are house girls running around the hotel and you can get a quick one without going far if you want to. There is no obligation to do a palace girl. I assume if a girl gave you problems, you could always complain to John and the girl would hear about it. On Sousa Chica's: I picked 4 girls from High Caribe and all except one were problems. The 1st girl agreed to 1,500 pesos for all night but after one pop wanted to go to sleep. I said no way, "you did not come here to just sleep but fuck". Then she started an attitude and I paid her then kicked her out. The second girl I picked from a Bar and agreed on 1,500 pesos all night but after one pop still same story. I got lots of an attitude problems with her, paid her 1000 pesos and kicked her out. I got a pair from High Caribe who did not quote the price and when we got to the Hotel they each wanted 2000 peso's. I said no way, 1000 peso's each. One of the girls was into my drawer's and wanted to have my personal items and later I found my digital travel clock missing. I did at least 3 palace girls paying 1000 pesos each for short time. Nothing, I remember about the sessions. On the night Vargas played at High Caribe, I still tried one more time and this girl was good in performance. When I was about to give up on Sousa, I went to Lationo Disco and danced with a nice girl from San Francico, DR. I took her to the hotel and she was girlfriend experience. I gave her my room number and she came back 2 days later. On my last day, I spent the night with her and that is the only girl I will remember on my trip. My impression of the DR girls in Sousa is that you have Haitian girls who are 100% Black and the Spanish & African girls who are half black. Now, before someone starts this racial stuff, I'm 100% African born and raised. If you have seen Ethiopian or Eriterian women from Africa and some of the African-American women, that is basically similar stock to me. I did not see hardly any 100% Spanish girls unless those are in the Puerto Plata clubs but I did not go to the likes of Crystals or El Boeham. For the 3,000 going rate, I rather save that for Brasil or Argentina. My opinion is that DR girls are the worst working girls in terms of service I have so far found. They ask for Peso's but don't want to fuck. They will trick you that it is all night long and then after one pop expect to go to sleep. Also, no day action and most of them appear like at 1am-2am when you are drank, tired, can't think properly and take them for all night and go to sleep after one pop. Easy money for the girl who does not have to work all night long. I have been to Thailand and Tijuana and thought the girls there were more fun in bed. I think coming from California, I rather pay to go to other better destinations sorry! My memorable experience about the DR is the one girl and my stay at Horus Apartment Hotel. Too bad I stayed in a romantic Horus by myself because Passions did not have any girl for me worth paying 2,000 pesos and moroever in advance at the bar. I have compared DR to SEA for mongers who have more time, and are not sure which is a better deal. Flights to Asia are usually a bit more expensive and longer depending on your origin. Longer vacations of 3wks to a few months are definitely better in SE asia if you like asian hookers. There is just so much more to do, prettier,cheaper, and better selection of girls, better availability(24hrs), less stealing (ex.-thai's are buddhist ) , shopping, food, transportion choices, lodging, etc. If you can score a $500 r/t ticket or less and you only have a week or so, then DR is a good choice. Fun can be had in Sosua, but I had to learn the system and culture and then work it into my mode of operation. I have to bring this up again because its a major turnoff......most DR girls have a really putrid stench to their puzzy's and don't know, or care how to get rid of it. Can make you lose your woody. There are alot of business owners who post perfect experiences in this forum to keep customers coming to Sosua. I just post my views and observations from a neutral point of view based on what I have experienced at "greener pastures." I spread pesos around my way, you do it your way ok? Sometimes I discuss price, sometimes not. Depends on my feeling with a girl. A 500p girl is a 500p girl, not a peso more. Maybe less if she pisses me off. The top of the line girls will always discuss price with you in advance. The middle of the road girls may try to squeeze 1000 from you after a short time and if you don't pay that, they won't leave your room. Day #1, December 22, 2003:
Well JFK was mobbed and my flight was an hour delayed. Arrived in POP to be greeted by my Novia and Feo and off to The Palace. Converted some money at 35 to the dollar. Had a nice dinner at Mora Mai. Swung by the Blue Dolphin and Nomad was there. They are having a chritmas meal starting at PM. The bar is working at The Palace and they have a TV as well. Soronji is the bartender there. I hung out withh JJ and The Russian Dude. Fantasy and The English dude are at The Palace as well. It was a long day so back to the room with my novia.

Day #2, Tuesday December 23, 2003:

Started off the day with breakfast at LaRoca. Then on to the Shark Bar, #66 with JJ where we met up with Mr SanFran who is also staying at The Palace. A few other mongers stopped by there and Lou shot the shit with us.
Onward to my first 300 peso massage at M & M then hung out at The Palace abit.

Scotty from Canada checked into the Palace today for a week. That makes 6 of us there now. The bar is always open, well sort of.

I cruised around as usual. We had a Turkey Dinner at La Roca, and it was good and cheap!

Its great to know that there are guys looking out for us everywhere. A Tourist guide, from anywhere in the country, would have added on 500 and said that was a good price. There were alot of people at this show. When I return in April I will make it a point to get over there for he shows. They are well worth the ride.

You are comparing a place Asia ( Thailand & Philipeans ) with a million hookers to a place with a few thousand. Second you are comparing a 24 hour flight to a 3 hour flight. Its very different really. It helps that its $300 to get there from NY. If Dr was 18 hours most of us would never go there.

Regarding One Ocean Place, she has been there so long it is impossible to get a room from Dec 20 - March 15th. She has a steady flow and only 50 rooms. I have stayed here and mentioned it before. Last Dec she had 1 night available when I got there.

I have never noticed horrible pus.y smells coming from all DR women. I have had numerous amateurs, and pros. I have a son with a DR woman and her pus.y smells good. I can't totally knock the north coast, But I haven't found a reason yet to make me go there from the South Coast area and Santiago province. People can overpay their assembly line ho's if they want, in the north garbage pit of Sosua(from what I have heard) or the south coast garbage pit of Boca Chica which I frequent. Boca Chica is only good for pay for play action, and the town is a shithole and I recognize that. I would never say that Boca Chica is beautiful because it isn't, but I get cheap pussy for my haggling dollar. The beaches would be nice if you didn't have to about beat off the vendors. I about have heart attacks hearing people paying 1000RD for one shot deals and giving them the money and telling them to leave. Paying 2000-3000RD for overnight and then paying them when they want to sleep,leave, etc. Are there that many spineless people out there? Lay the law down but be respectful doing it, LEARN SOME FREAKIN SPANISH/NEGOTIATE/AND DON"T PAY FULL AMOUNT UPFRONT/ and you won't get screwed over as much. Unless the woman is Selma Hayek, anyone paying MORE than 600RD for a one shot nut, 900RD for a 2 shot nut, or 1200RD for all night and the morning of carnal bliss are complete idiots. I quoted these prices and I don't even pay that much, EVER.

Hmmm, a good point for me is that if everyone is flocking to Sosua and paying inflated prices, BC girls become cheaper when I need to use a pro and I have all of the amateurs in Santo Domingo and small towns around Santiago. My good fellow monger Wolvine, I will have to concede, I'm one of those "non adventurous, lazy, spineless mongers" you mention. Ha, cut me some slack; without speaking Spanish, the going can be tough negotiating and laying down the law! I read here on the board all those prices you quote i.e. 600RD for 1hr, 900 RD for 2 hours and 1,200 for all night. However, the reality on the ground was different as none of the girls would take less than 1,000 RD. I am sure being a new comer and speaking no Spanish made it hard for me the first time. I hope to take a Spanish course at a local college. That way next time, I can do better. No, I don't think I'm an idiot when you are in a different country and don't speak the language, the last thing you want is fights with a hooker or to interact with the local police. I chose not to go there. In anycase, while prices in DR have no bearing to prices anywhere else, I'm always mindfull of what I routinely pay in nearby Tijuana ($40-60 +11 for the room) for 30 minutes to get just one pop. So, I put things in perspective and I'm sure the 1,000 ($26) - 1,500 ($39) RD I paid will not break the bank. In the USA strip clubs, guys pay $20 just for a 3 minute lap dance or $40 for a nude dance. It is a learning experince for me about DR scene. There is always a learning curve and I understand that.

You have been a great help answering my questions and filling in the blanks while planning my trip to Sosua, and with my trip over I thankyou. But on the other hand, anyone who has read my posts knows that I call them as I see em'. These observations may differ from yours, and not everyone acts and thinks like you, and of course vice versa. For example, any newbie will find that the Sosua Palace is on an unpaved, unlit street, which is a prime mugging opportunity and scary. The times I walked in there, noone even saw me enter. It's like your paying $45. u.s. per night to stay in someones house. The bar wasn't open, the pool is dinky, no girls. If that kind of place is for you, have at it! I think I know why there are quite a few cheerleaders hawking the joint. I ate at Rocky's twice and my food wait time was 45 min. and 80 min. I asked for ketchup and it arrived after my steak and fries were gone. People should know that Rocky's is a very basic accomodation, you get a fan, full size bed, 13" t.v., noisy kids in the complex behind to wake you early a.m. and maid service every few days for $15/day. There are 4 rooms to choose from. Great place to gather information or use their fast internet 40p/hour. According to your last visits time line, you ate and partied on New Year's eve at Rocky's and on Jan. 1 you had food poisoning. Then you had the sense? to go have breakfast there the next day? What's up with that my man? Its seems you travel to the DR 12 times /yr. Well the avg. guy isn't that fortunate. I offer my comparisons betw. SE asia and the DR for those unlike you that want the best bang for their buck and have more that a week to travel and are willing to spend extra time on a plane knowing they will have an overall superior time with the significant advantages SE asia has to offer. This of course is IMHO and the purpose of this forum is to analyze and gather data from more than one source. I say again, if your into black girls, DR is your place. About Morua Mai, IMHO the food is overpriced and poor quality for the area, and they add that 22% b.s. to your check for tax and tip. I'm not stupid and can figure out my own gratuity. If the service is poor, your fukd. Eat there once and you will know why twice the amount of customers are across the street. I heard from a reliable source, that the owner of that restaurant is some type of connected hard ass who likes to intimidate the competition and plays the local mafia game. I don't hate Sosua, because I found the beach area very good after about 2 weeks when the touts figure out you aren't going to buy, and leave you alone. Cigars are cheap and quality can be very high. Beers are also cheap in bars. Haircuts are cheaper in Charamicos 50-70p and there is a bakery just up the hill on the left that has excellent cornbread and banana bread slices for 5p. There is even a restaurant where a 1lb lobster is 250p. If you own a Honda or Yamaha moped, then buy your parts here. Take care and may you never get SOSEWER's revenge again......

In regards to my comment about the majority of DR women having a knarly puzzy stench. My research comes from hookers picked up at High Caribe disco, Merengue bar, Cowgirl bar, Havana bar, Plutus bar and many others as well as freelancers on the street. I should have clarified this. All of these girls work the Sosua area and may or may not apply to other cities. My nose is as sensitive as the next guy and I know a skank scent when I smell it. If they don't wash correctly the first time, they are asked to wash again. If they refuse, they get the boot. In a couple of instances I watched them splash water and sometimes soap on the exterior of their cuunt. We all know to clean correctly they have to at least stick a finger or two inside. Another monger told me to stick a finger in their box, then put it in their mouth. If it stinks and they refuse, they will understand. I gather you haven't been here, so you know what you have (or have not) to look forward too. No offense towards the Dominican mother of your child.

Glad you got a little chuckle out of the post but wasn't meaning to come across so harsh and imply that you were an idiot for not speaking the language at all, but I have seen many tourists here and I end up translating for them and negotiating in Boca Chica mainly. It gets to be a pain in the butt. I would take at least a beginner college course and use cd's and book studying too. Learning the basic present tense and simple past forms, basic sentence structure plus a memorization of the few hundred bare minimum words and various sentences that are important will make a monger's time much more easier in any Spanish speaking country. The prices I quoted are primarily good when the peso is between 37-44. I know the north has many more mongers than the southern part of the DR and I think I know the reason why your prices there are so high. Overpaying AMERICANS/CANADIANS. visiting the north and spoiling the girls and creating high prices that hurts all mongers. Why don't n.american mongers haggle, I know it isn't in our culture as much but when in Rome, do like the Romans. While the south area mongers are usually hard haggling Germans, Italians, and Europeans and most of them speak at least intermediate Spanish along with a couple of other languages. Of the mongers in Boca Chica, I would say only 5 Percent are americans/canadians.

I may not have been to Sosua(and to clubs you mention) but I have been to: Juan Dolio, San Pedro de Macoris, Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, Santiago, San Jose, Janico, Andres, etc and few dozen other towns in the DR ranging along the south coast to the upper central DR on several extended trips of more than just a few days. I have much experience with dominican pros and amateurs and have had pros from Puerto Plata, Sosua, northern areas who were now working in the south and none of their pussy's were unkempt and stinky. You must have a very sensitive nose or fetish. But the women in small towns in el campo(the country) generally have thicker bushes due to not trimming very much but no difference is smell or taste. My baby's mom is from a small town in the country and isn't a pro so I didn't take offense anyways. But I have traveled all over the DR except Sosua/Puerto Plata area, etc and I have sampled working girls and amateurs and I think we will have to agree to disagree because I am not going to go solely to Sosua area/to the places you mention just to see if a girl's pussy stinks and is clean.

I don't have too big a sample to make a strong generalisation, but from my limited experience in DR, I would have to agree with you. I met a girl when I was in Sosua (she was from a small town near Santiago) last year and hung out with her the entire week in Sosua and then she met me several months later in Boca Chica. The first time I went down on her I recall saying to myself that this was the most distasteful pussy I had ever eaten (I have subsequently eaten one more distasteful one from a provider I met on Craig's List.) Some of the others I tasted in DR were not nearly as nasty.

It's possible that they don't have it as part of the culture to do a thorough douching. I recall the first provider I was with in Argentina took about 20 minutes (off the clock) to clean herself once we got to my hotel. I son't think women in DR have this so ingrained.

Let's be careful about generalising however.

Hey Pilgrims,it will not be too long before my trip . ,My map looks like its about 1.5 hrs at the least from Santo Domingo to Santiago . Is this sound about right? Is there any road houses that have chicas on the way? I know we have been pm'ing back and forth and I will take you up on that beer if I ever run into you. Metro Bus from SD to Santiago, easy to use station in SD, will take approximately 2.5-3 hours and last time on this route was 150RD. Bus leaves hourly from SD to Santiago. Then can catch bus at Santiago station, grab a burger at the Burger King(or is it MC D's) next to it and about 2 hours to Puerto Plata if you want to head up that way. By car, about at least 2hours from SD to Santiago without stopping.

I don't stop by clubs, brothels, etc and don't even look for them but there probably is something around the area before getting into Santiago. There are small bars and colmados along the way where you can ask the locals. More than likely for a small fee they will try to find you a woman.

I like the red wine Carmen. You will have no problems finding wine, just stop in any supermercado. When in Santo Domingo stop in La Sirena Supermercado and you will see hundreds of wines at a good price. I think I bought this wine for 405RD when it was like 30RD to 1US. It is from S.America, Santiago producing region. A lower quality wine was Santa Maria and was about 300RD at the same exchange rate. I believe it is from the same area. I recommend Carmen though but if you are looking for certain vintages they have special stores in Santiago and Santo Domingo where you can get good wine. Presidente beer is the national brand of beer and better than that Corona sh.t from Mexico. I enjoy Presidente's and is better than American beer, imho.

You want the best dancing normal bar/club in the whole DR with live bachata/merengue musicians such as Frank Reyes and Aventura with about 700plus of normal dominicans on weekends, cover last time I knew was 100RD, check out La Igual bar in San Jose de las Matas(sajoma is how it may be posted on signs as well). Smaller city about 30 minutes from Santiago, amateur heaven because I know you speak Spanish, just giving you a little hint by mentioning that bar as a good place to develop some real gfe:)Take care and pm for more info if need be.

It's good to see some lively debate on this forum. I leave for Sosua in 19 days for the first time, and I promise I'll post the honest truth. I've been fortunate to have been all around the world, staying in among others, Ritz Carlton's around the country, and a bazillion p.o.s. motels around the world as well. I'm feeling pretty qualified to give a nice unbiased opinion on the goings on of Sosua and the North Coast. I'll be staying at an AI but have a room for the week also at the Palace for mongering. Best of both worlds. Many thanks to all of the guys on this thread for the great posts. I'm looking forward to it. If you wanted some action, say for fewer than 5 days, and you live on the East Coast, where would you prefer to go other than Sosua? Taking all things into account - travel time, cost of flight, hotel costs, money for the ladies, etc., is there a better value around? I agree that Sosua is not paradise, but it's the best place I know of for getting 5- days of whoring in fewer than 6 hours door-to-*****.

I'm not pre-judging your response. Just curious to hear where you can do better.

I am an American living here in Paradise. I sat back and kept my mouth shut when I saw your last foolish post but this latest is too much! You asked where you went wrong. Let me begin:

First of all, the girls you find in front of Rockys, Plutos and Mereange Club are the biggest scum in Sosua, so you wonder why thier pussy stink? Its clear that a guy like you who wants to pay 15 us for a room isn't going to step up and pay the money it takes to get a decent piece off ass anyway (a whole 25 to 30 us).

Here's some real advice: go to High Caribe or Latinos (after 2 am if you want the super models thats when they come out, did you know that genios?) or go to Puerta Plata to Cristals or El Bohen.

As far as your horrible advice telling people where to eat, I hope no one heeds your advice. You were telling people to go to the beach and eat in those shit holes! They wash all vegetables and salad in tap water which will make you sick for sure. The only place on the beach to eat is Lous Shark bar. He is American and you can hang their with other Americans and he cooks on the bbq.

As far as the foolish comments on the Palace, did you stay there? If not, is it the owners job to entertain you? Have you heard about any muggings on the street? I haven't in the 15 years I have been here and I think someone would have posted if they had gotten robbed? Hang out with some of the Palace Regulars and they will give you all the good advice and phone # you need.

I have never been to thailand or Asia, but I know their is a lot more pussy there, but if you want to fly 24 hours have fun. The DR is a great alternative to that. No, its not packed with pussy like Asia but thier are plenty of girls (if you know where to go).

So my friend, keep up the foolish adivice. After all you must be an expert, its your first time!
