I think you can get a much cheaper escort in Prague.

I visited Prague in the Autumn of 08 and could not make it a complete mongering visit as I was there on business. One of my associates was game but not well versed as to what and how to go about it, so we went the high end route. Well, difficult to answer as it depends on the private / girl and client. In most privates you have to pay an extra for OWO (sure, there are exceptions - in Mazlive studentky OWO is included in the basic price), and in all privates you have to pay an extra for anal. I've never had to pay for DATY.

Yes, in certain nightclubs taxi drivers get commission for each client they bring in (from 500 czk to 1500 czk per "head" dependings on the club!). Especially St. Pauli, Velvet, Escade, Cabaret Amsterdam, Lotos club... All these clubs are out of center and can't easily attract guests (even cabarets & nightclubs in the city center like Darling, Atlas, Sexy Gogo, Sugar and Empire are now fighting for customers beside their location).
So never listen to a taxi driver :) He will only drives you to a place where he can make extra cash, not to a place that will fulfill your wishes :)
I went once to St Pauli. Take the metro to the Vltavska station. Surface. You can take a tram (1,3,5 or 25), or just walk (it is not far).

Yeah, 3000 Crowns is way OTT. Most privates are less than that. Sweet Paradise has a bit of a reputation for cute girls who overcharge if they think they see a newbie.

I am really disappointed by reading that the famous "Budapest"scam has found its way to Prague, which I have always thought was better than that. But I remember being approached numerous times by young pretty girls (always working in pairs) in Vaci Utca, main street in Budapest. The scam was so well known that I believe it was even a warning on the American embassy webpages in Hungary! Anyway I read that there is a valid option for you, if you really find yourself trapped and can't get out without paying in a club/bar/restaurant. The trick, is that you should not risk your health, but only pay with credit card. Next it is important that you file a complaint at the local police station. Then with the receipt you get from the police, you forward this to your credit card company claiming not to be charged for the due amount because it's a criminal offense. It's up to the credit card company to pursue the case in order to get their money back! I am not sure if this works in reality, but I don't see why it shouldn't!
Of course the best option is not to go along with these girls. If things look too good to be true. They often are.

I can't remember being directly scammed in Prague, at least the dancer has always ended up fully nude. Some give less contact than others ("air dance"), so you should make sure you ask for a "lap dance" and not just a "private dance". (Although usually a "private dance" is also a lap dance.)
Most girls offer touching for 500 CZK extra. Without touching, the standard rate in most clubs is 1000 CZK.
Rates are higher in Darlings and Sexy Go-Go (now renamed Barbie Nightclub). Not sure about Atlas. Those clubs are actually brothels with strip shows, where some girls dance on stage and do lapdances, while most girls are working the floor and selling sex. They're not the best places for lapdances.
For lapdances, it's better going to pure strip clubs like Goldfingers, Hot Peppers and Carioca. There they use "standard" prices (at least when I was there), and there's a better selection of attractive dancers. Hot Peppers even had free entry, and you got a free beer for each lapdance.

The price has nothing to do with it. It has not changed between my visit last October and the one in January and it was in both cases Kc 1, 100 (plus whatever extras I chose).
During my October visit I was really impressed. Both with the privat and the girl. At that time I considered GE probably the best place to visit in Prague and I stated as much in my review. Very relaxed atmosphere in a great environment, with a very accommodating girl (Simona). As a result I made multiple visits and I always left satisfied.
Compared to that my January visit was disappointing. I felt hurried when I was there and I did not enjoy it as much. This does not make it a "bad thing" but GE in my view dropped from one of the best places to a privat that is only somewhat above average. It is only 15 extra minutes but it makes quite a difference because of the atmosphere it allows to develop. At least for me.
And that's a shame since I have not found another place in Prague that would come close to my October experience. I'll be back in Prague again in less than two weeks and I guess I will have to keep looking (I would gladly repeatedly visit a place that felt like GE last October and I would have no problem paying the few extra Euros).

The price is still 1.000CKR for ½ hour. Basic suck n' fuck.
