Hi Ali, nice report. I have been going to Prague every year for the past five years, and have noticed that prices for venues available to non-Czech speakers have gone up much more than inflation. I guess that is because visitors just come in and overpay. From the providers' point of view, it is only logical that they charge whatever people will pay.

ShowPark is located in one of the building of the Holesovice market in Prague 7 (Prazska Trznice, Hall 18, Bubenske nabrezi, Prague 7 - Holesovice). It´s open every day from noon to 6 am. There is a second (and discreet) entrance in the back of the building open from monday to saturday from noon till 8:00 pm (during the regular market opening hours, access trough the main gate on Bubenske nabrezi. The hall 18 is the first building on your right).

It´s only ten minutes from the city center by taxi but taxidrivers will probably try to overcharge you... You can also reach ShowPark using public transportation (tram stop "Prazska trznice" tram 1,3,5 and 25). It´s the first stop from Vltavska metro station (line C).

There is a bar on the ground floor (free entrance). The waitresses are dancing on the bar and offering "body shots" but no strip-tease or anything else.

On the right of the bar you will find stairs going to the showpark rooms. The entrance fee is now 100 kc (4 euros) but regulars can buy a discount card (500 kc/10 visits or 1000/40 visits).

ShowPark is advertising 62 rooms in the "Amsterdam" style but not all the rooms are fully rented. On good nights you can find about 25 girls waiting for customers in their rooms between 8 pm and 2 or 3 am. Mostly czechs but a few slovaks, ukrainians or even a couple of african women as well (since the EU admission in 2004 a few thousands people coming from Nigeria and other african countries moved to the Czech Republic. Last two or three years, some african women appeared in night clubs like Atlas, Darlings, Sexy, Empire...).

There is quite a big rotation of girls in ShowPark so the quality (girls look) may vary a lot from a night to another night (from 5 to 8 out of 10). Each room is small and equipped with a shower and a-little-not-very-comfortable kind of bed. There are two wings, one offering new rooms the other one still using old rooms.

The flat rates charged by the girls are 1.000 czk/30 minutes and 2.000 czk/60 minutes. The girls service is closer to "mechanical sex" than "GFE", Showpark being called by some locals "the sex factory". These rates are including basic service (covered BJ and classic sex - one orgasm only). I really have not heard that happening in Prague. Other places like Budapest I have heard have that problem. If you want a strip club try Goldfingers in Wenceslas. I can't say I know of many massage parlours in Prague. There are a few privates that do massage. Many of the girls in Privates will give you a massage but also full service. Most clubs in the center are a rip off in that they are pricy and target tourists, but if you want a good time and are willing to spend some money try Darlings. I also like K5 which is a but further afield but still not far from the center (walkable if you have 15 minutes and very near the tram/metro at Namesti Miru). The quality of girls there is going back up and they have a number of very cute ones at the moment.

I visited the Zlaty Strom disco that reopened after reconstruction.

The disco is located on Karlova street 6 near the Charles Bridge, in the basement of the hotel U Zlateho Stromu. I paid 100 czk fee for entrance.

The disco has a main room and several smaller room on two levels. On the lower level where the main room is there is a long bar and a dance floor. The dj is playing commercial pop music. The crowd is young, both czechs and tourists.

On the upper level new decoration including new seats, tables, plasma tv´s and three new wooden bars can be found in the various rooms.

One of the room is well know by czech men and very popular with tourists because go-go girls are dancing in swimwear and taking top-off each 15 minutes. There is no extra fee to enter this room.

A new wooden bar replaced the old stage where the girls where dancing. This new bar has a L shape and the girls are now dancing right on the bar! (4 poles).

Nightly about 8 girls are dancing in pairs with a maximum of 4 girls at once.

To be honest the girls selection was really terrible, only two or three girls were okay looking that night. But it varies a lot from a night to another night.

Now that the stage disappeared, it looks like there is no more sexy shows on the programme (lesbian show, dildo show and full strip show where taking place trough the night before the closing and reopening of the disco). As you can imagine this room is mainly filled by czech men and tourists (italian, german, british...).

I walked trough the other smaller rooms. Have now had a look at the Jet-apartments and have seen the prices for high season quoted at €60 for a two person apartment.

Do you think me and my mate from Windermere could book our self’s into it and bring girls back (provided the Hotel/apartments is guess friendly) with out being charged more.

And by that I mean do you get two single beds or two double beds because they have quoted at the bottom, extra bed €15.

Or would we bough need to be in separate apartment.

If it is your intention to bring girls back surely would be better to each have an apartment and therefore have some privacy.

The apartments I have stayed in from them are simple, but clean and tidy. I never had to pass any doorman etc so no one else would have known about "extra" people being brought back.

No entrance fee, 1 hour in the club at 1900 CZK during happy hours (12:00-20:00) and 2500 CZK at night (20:00-05:00), 1 hour escort service at 2500 czk (better rates for longer terms).

The club is located on Srobarova 6, Prague 2 wich is the villa that housed the private "Dessert club" in the past.

Depends what you mean by nearby to the "action".

While it's not the closest hotel to the city center clubs or where most private are Andel´s hotel in Prague 5 is a good 4* with good review on Tripadvisor and next door neighbor to Andel metro station and it's also fairly easy to take a taxi to where the action is without getting stuck in to much traffic.

Praha... much more than 5 letters, the place I know since october 1998, the city that gave me the best nice beautiful memories about meet new people and make love with women.

I arrived and immediately I decided to visit the most expensive place, Darlings, why ? Cause there I had a wonderful hour with a girl from Saint Petersburg and cause to see about 100 girls in the same place give you a mood hardly you can get somewhere else.
Even if it was supposed to be 108 girls, I saw only about 40 girls, I stayed there about 1,5 hour, so I saw almost every girl, even the girls who were in bedroom when I got there.
I was disappointed, cause most of them were very average, cause the 4-5 best ones were the same of september and cause no one of them did bbbj or anal, neither with tips. And actually one hour in Darlings costs 5.500kc...

I spent about 500kc for entrance and one beer and I left for Sexy that is a club in the same street of Darlings, where one hour is 3.900kc, much better, but about 20 girls, some of them nice, but very cold in attitude.

I went out and try to find a not rip off taxi driver who took me for 200kc to show park, one of my favourite place, cause you get into for a few euros.
The quality was low and I drunk there one red bull and left for Pink Dolly, where there were only 2 girls, one bigger than me and the second one was slim but a 6'.

I went to Sweet Paradise, where were about 15 girls but only 3 of them were nice: 2 blondes and one who looks from Asia.
Later I understood she was from Mongolia, I went with there, cause it was about 4:00 am, she has a gorgeous nice body and face, but she is not what I call passionate woman, however at least I got something new and I spoke some minutes in russian too. ;)

About lunch and dinner I was every day at pizzeria grosseto in namesti miru or at potrefena husa in vinohrady, for me very good food at reasonable price.

Then I tried Escade at morning at 7:00 am, one of the few club still open at early morning, I got there the sister of Angelina Jolie in blond hair, a bit mechanical sex, but very nice body even if 5.000kc it is a very expensive price in Prague.

Many taxi drivers suggested me Amsterdam, so ok, let's go to see it. At entrance woman told me the price was 3.500kc included one hour.
So far as I stopped to be naive many years ago, I asked in czech if I could get into only to see the girls, she smiled when she noticed I spoke czech and she said ok but entrance was 1.000kc, I smiled even more and I said goodbye. Immediately she said entrance 500kc, I turn on and said still too much. She said 300kc and then I realized it was a truly rip off place without the need to get into to see the girls.
My suggest if they are asking you in advance to pay for one hour without see the girls,be sure, they very well know, they have such a ugly girls that this is the only way to have you pay one hour....without see them !

My second time at show park I was really a very lucky man:I choose a blonde who look not in good mood, she was from Plzen and I offered there to take a cofee together just to test if she was a cold or friendly girl.
After some chit chat in czech she showed her attitude very friendly, so I decided to spent the very cheap price of 1.000kc of half hour with her....I stayed about 3 hours.... I very seldom found such a friendly, intelligent girl in night club whom was really a pleasure to have a conversation and obviously the sex was even better.

I went again to Pink Dolly and to Sweet Paradise, but I did not go to bedroom, no one girls there worth it.

I went to see apartment Flora, it is the best place, very cheap, where to go if you do not want to take your escort to your hotel, it is in front of shopping center Flora and one hour in clean bedroom is about 15 euro.

I tried to call many privates and I had to say that even if, they are surely the best chance to have very friendly girl for a very cheap price included bbbj and often anal too, it is not so easy to find girls free and to find the place.
Just an example in a privat close to Flora I booked at 17:00, but I arrived there with a very little delay at 17:03 and when I called the girl, she told she was already waiting for another customer. I acrossed the street and I smoked my Marlboro when I saw a surely foreigner go to the door, he call with his mobile phone and he spoke english, but, I do not know why, he was not able to make the girl open the door. After a while he left and I immediately call again, they told me they were free.
Their english was really poor, I communicated with them in czech and still do not know why they did not open the door to the man before me, however I got 45 minutes of pure fun for 1.200kc + 200kc to have french kissing,shower together,licking and bbbj....what a wonderful bargain !!!!
Trust privat, maybe a bit hard to get there, but hardly you will get disappointed...imho !

There are a number of Apartment agencies now in Prague, I have found all apartment agencies I have used pretty secure, even though none of them have offerd so called safety posit.

Was in Praha last weekend and boy was it quiet. Went to of my favourite haunts and they all said there starting to feel the pinch. But stragne thing you try to get a flight out from Uk and you can,t unless you pay top Dollar. Of course paid my usual vist to Korunni 5 and had a blast. Don't worry, You'll find hundreds of ATM's in Prague streets, banks, Prague Ruzyne airport, train & metro stations, in the main post office on Jindrisska street (almost open 24/24) and even in hotels like the Prague Hilton Atrium hotel...

ATM's accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro cards for sure, many of them Sirius, Diners Club and few other cards as well.

Some ATM' s even allow you to credit your SIM card (Czech operators only: O2, T-mobile and Vodafone).

Yes there are few good Pizzeria´s in Praha as we know.
The only Grosseto restaurant I have used is on Jugoslávských partyzánu and it was quite OK.

I have liked the Colesum one in Na Prikope or Ovocny Trh and used to be my favorite one in the summertime, but now my favorite one is at Pankrac Hotel Pizzeria Pankrac near red line Metro Prazského Povstaní.

Yes, it's a very old trick used in Prague for many years now... You can meet these guys i.e. on Wenceslas square in front of Jalta hotel or Debenhams department store. They are definitely not czech (but coming from further East). There are taking your USD, EUR or GBP notes and giving you i.e. removed BGN notes (bulgarian Leva) :) The funny point is bulgarian language is using cyrilic alphabet not the czech one but tourists don't make the difference and are not suspicious when receiving bank notes using cyrilic alphabet...

Good warning from Ziraell regardings dammaged bank notes (torn down, tagged or missing a piece), it' s true that they are often refused in shops, supermarkets...

That is right changing on the street has been a problem in Prague these 8 years I have been going there, and the first two things that were warned about cashing on the street and receive worthless notes, and there used to be another problem in Prague which I heard is not as bad now are taxis on the streets they often used to use Turbo meters in their cars and some of them were going faster than a stop watch, but a Czech friend of mine has told me the Police have been keeping a good eye on this over the last few years.

I am asking for some advice from readers who have visited Prague for pay for play action and also NordRhein Westfalen (Germany) saunaclubs for their experiences and advice. Please do not take my perceptions as an indictment of the Prague pay for play scene.

I have a bit of a decision to make. I booked a 5 day trip to Prague (flight £65) in Dec 07 when I did not know how much I enjoyed the German FKK clubs. On Monday I booked for the same dates of 10-14 July a trip to NordRhein Westfalen for £6.42. The car hire if I went ahead with a NordRhein Westfalen trip is €92.50 for the 5 days. Now having booked the two flights it gave me the option of doing for the same dates either a trip to Prague and its brothels or the sauna clubs of NordRhein Westfalen.

You may ask why I did this.

I had someone I know drop out of visiting Prague together and then reading the Prague reviews I was getting the feeling of mixed results for pay for play action. Or better, combine the 2 tickets you have (I presume you can't cancel and get a refund for any of your tickets), take your flight to NRW, spend 3-4 days there, then take a cheap low-cost flight from NRW to Prague (Germanwings for example has real cheap flights out of Cologne/Bonn, less than £10 if you're lucky), then fly back home from Prague.
