Well guys I was disappointed with the whole experience and I have to say that whilst SOHO is an excellent replacement for Mikado, the quality of women is pathetic. Just back from a few days business in Helsinki, and went one night to Alcatraz, a strip club at 2 Eerikinkatu. ThanksIt's a bar, I've only seen Eastern European girls, you meet them and negotiate the price with them, then go back to their apartment in the city (usually very simple / cheap place) or to your hotel / apartment. There is an entrance fee, can't remember how much though. At least 10 Euros though. Plus, the coat check and then the girl expects you to pay her coat check on the way out (assuming you get "lucky").

Here you go with my SOHO report. I stayed in a central Scandic Hotel. Found that SOHO was only 8 minutes walking way from the heart of the city. Entrance was 12 EUR's. Polite staff, nobody is taking care of you between the entrance door and the bar area. If you have a coat, there is a desk in between, where you can give away your coat. I went straight to the bar area. In the middle of a big room there is a bar and seating possiblilities around. I sat at the bar. Nobody is pushing you to drink. I took a Stella Beer (normal helsinki prices) I looked around there were about 15-20 ladies hanging around, going to gentlemen politely. A lot of ladies were talking to men just like that. They are no way pushy. I was approached by a Russian lady from St. Petersburg (late 30's but very good shape) who was nice, polite and talkative. Night Club Soho- October Report.
I mentioned a couple months ago that I would be in Helsinki in October, and would report back, after I had visited Soho. Here is my experience.
I was in Helsinki for the first time, at the start of a lengthier journey, a few weeks back. I was only in town for about 48 hours. I spent the daytime, the two days I was there, seeing the city. I was especially caught off guard by the number of trim, slim natural blondes that were there. The temperatures were between 11 and 15 C, and allot the ladies looked quite stylish, and downright hot, in their black tights, short skirts or long tops, and above ankle heeled boots.
I stayed at one of the three centrally located Helsinki Omena hotels (Omenahotels. Com) on Lonnrotinkatu. I stayed at the hotel chain from a recommendation on this thread. For Helsinki standards, it is inexpensive, considering its location. It is simple, but, clean and modern. There is no reception, and you will enter the building and your room with a door code, that you will receive by text and email. 24 hours before your arrival. It was just fine for me, and made the ideal lodging for a possible Soho slumber party. I walked by the same older gentleman twice on my two days there, coming to the hotel with two different much younger ladies. Could that have been one of you guys?
By the time I had checked into the hotel, the first day, I had probably been awake for 27-28 hours due to my flight. I was determined to visit Soho, but, I knew I would not be in any condition to go, let alone the possibility of 'entertaining' a lady, without some rest. I set the alarm for 10 PM and got some sleep.
After a quick shower, I walked back over to Mannerheimintie and had something to eat. I then walked down to Soho at Ratakatu / Bangatan 9, which is not even 10 minutes away. The street is only two and a half blocks long, so it's not hard to find Soho. Safety in central Helsinki is nothing to ever think about, in my opinion. It was a Wednesday night, and I arrived at an 'appropriate' 11:30 PM. They are open 20-02 Mon thru Sat, and Sun 21-02. The outside glass door was propped open. I paid 12 euros as soon as I entered, and walked down the stairs. There was a coat check at the bottom, at a small additional cost, and the night club was then off to the right. It is not a tiny club, but not exceptionally large either. There was a centrally located square bar that you can walk completely around. There are chairs and couches around the perimeter with a few tables. I suspect there may have been 40 people there, at most, at any one time, but I really wasn't counting. There were quite a few more women there than men. People were coming and going regularly.
Most everyone, men and women were dressed very casual. I wasn't sure what to expect, and I had on a casual sports jacket and khakis. You will fit right in (Jayjay28) if you wear blue jeans and no jacket, like you might wear in any casual club. There didn't appear to be a dress code. I didn't see too many ladies that had on dresses or skirts, and most had slacks or jeans and only a couple had hot club wear attire. It was a real mix. I would say that most of the ladies were in their 30's, maybe even some 40's, with a couple hot young exceptions. I think you have the jealousy idea wrong. Remember, my trip is over, and you still have one that hasn't taken place yet. I'm the jealous one! I'll take any anticipated trip over memories any day!
I know that you mentioned in an earlier report that you didn't have a lot of experience with mongering. I mentioned a couple months ago that I would be in Helsinki in October, and would report back, after I had visited Soho. Here is my experience.

I visit Helsinki a couple of times a year and have had good experience with Soho as well, although there has also been times when I have failed to find anyone to excite me there. I find girls associated with any organization less risky and more open to suggestions. I will check out soho next week but will pick up only if any stunning beauty is available.
