Yes, I hear that 30Ls is the going rate for massage + HJ. I don't know too many of the places, but I have heard that Okinawa is as good as any of them.
Maybe things have changed, but up to a year ago Okinawa was something totally different from the classic massage salons in Riga.
More similar to a brothel, it had a small bar where you can sit and drink with the girls. You pick-up your favorite and pay the fee allegedly "for the massage". You move then to a place next door, a sort of small apartment with a central sofa area and a few bedrooms on the sides. After 5 minutes of massage the girl will start negotiating the extra price. At the time it was 30LVL, I doubt it is still the same today.
While in Okinawa you go for sex, in all the other massage establishments there is only a lucky chance to get something more than an HJ. It is down to the girl to offer (or accept) the extra. A while ago, around 50% of the girls were willing to earn some extra cash; recently I have found this percentage falling down drastically.
Price also can vary a lot, usually from 30 to 60 LVL. I suggest going there during day time, as they usually charge less. Nighttime there is often the extra night fee. I have heard several people being asked 50 or 60 LVL for just the massage + HJ (it happened to me recently). You just have to politely point out that you are a regular customer and that the quoted price is double than the current market rate. With a bit of luck, they will drop it to 35/40 LVL.

Arrived this morning basically because it was the cheapest last minute flight home after a jaunt down to Austria. In and out of Riga with most of a day here.
Picked up a little booklet at the airport called "Riga in Your Pocket", fairly good. Just back from a trip to Riga.
Here is my two cents worth.
Arrived late at night on low cost flight (wondering whether it was worth the cheap price to put up with a planeload of stagdo's with the manners of idiots).
The Airport is small but clean and very easy to find a taxi, the red cabs seem good value paid 7lats on way into city and 8 on way out, its great not to get ripped off by the taxi mafia on the first night!
Anyway arrived at my hotel and headed out to see what fun the night would bring. The Riga this week magazine in the hotel room has a good map and several ads for discos clubs and massage joints.
I made for the Old Town and must say that Riga is a beautiful city with well laid out public parks and quite similar to Tallinn.
Approaching the the Old town you can't help but see stunners left right and center 7's 8's and 9's strolling around with that east europe grace, hot pants and high heels.
Went into a couple of bars in the center and had a couple of beers and then headed into the Roxy Disco ignoring the pleas of several touts offering the strip bars and nightclubs.
Roxy was not great with poor doorstaff and not so much hot chicks so we bailed and headed next to La Rocca which seems to be the most popular local disco. Entrance was about 5lats but the eyecandy wass well worth and the place was full of students and a great vibe. There are several dance floors with a russian disco in one part (warning watered down drink) and a expensive topless bar on the third level. This placee stays open until about 5. 30 am or 6 and was pretty cool, it is a bit of a young crowd but I think if its freebies you are looking for its the best bet for Riga.

All in all I would say that Riga is a great place to visit but the stripbars are there just to ripoff the stagparties, I think the best place to score is the local discos and as for escort services I think the next time I go I give escort-latvia a try as when you add up the cost of stripclub prices the charges of escort-latvia don't seem that bad.

Sorry I haven't had time to report back on my Riga trip, been rather busy but here goes.
I was in Riga for 2 nights for a business meeting, well one and a half nights bearing in mind that my return flight was at 0700 thus the 2nd night I didn't venture out and chose to utilise a well stocked minibar.
But the first night was somewhat unreal. I went out, looking for something to eat, during the early evening first trying an English pub, but only staying for one beer, until I ventured across the road to an Irish pub where I had something to eat.
Strolling back to my hotel along Kalku, I was only looking to see where Roxy Club was located, I was approached by one hooker after another, the first wanted LVL80 so sent her packing, the second wanted LVL50 so took her back to my room for a somewhat clinical shag. Riga used to be a great place for action before RyanAir started to fly there. Now every punter across Europe can get there for less than 50 Euros. The overall impression seems to be that pulling hot freebies in Riga is as difficult as London, NY, Paris or any big Western city. I was in Riga between christmas and new years eve and decided to try the ‘’Lilami’’ Massage Houses. There are 5 of them in Riga, pretty close to each other. I tried 4 of them in 3 days and here is my report.

Two weeks in Riga. I was very very disapointed! Years ago Riga was a hit. Now is shit!

I am sorry I have to agree with some of the negative reports posted here. Sure there is some interesting architecture, and there are beautiful women everywhere you look, but if you are looking for sex, paid or "free", Riga is not the place to go. Riga is rigged to extract as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, from the unsuspecting tourist, even more so from the sex tourist. At one point I needed some batteries for my camera, and in the touristy area they wanted me to pay 6 Lats ( 12 USD) for 4 batteries. Later I found them at the grocery store for 2 Lats. There is a grocery store at a mall in the old town. Try to get everything there. It is also a great place to scout for stunningly gorgeous women.
For the sex tourist things are even worse. From looking on the internet, you might have the impression that there is lots of relatively cheap sex with reasonably good looking women, but that is not the case. As soon as you start calling you start getting the bullshit. First, some refuse to talk to you because you are a foreigner. Second, the girl you want is never available. Third, you get offered an alternative girl who charges far more, and of course, you do not know what you might be getting. The lowest offer I got was 80 Lats, and most were 100 Lats or more. If I wanted to pay that much, I could have stayed home.
Whatever you do, DO NOT go into one of those so-called strip bars. They are not like the strip bars you are used to at home, wherever that is. Your entrance and first beer are overpriced, and you will have to pay even more if you want any girls to dance for you. You will pay even more if you foolishly agree to buy one of the girls a drink. DO NOT.
The "strippers" are also recruiters. You will see them walking around the main drag, approaching foreigners, speaking a little English, and inciting them to come to their club. Chat with them, flirt with them, and invite them to your hotel, but DO NOT agree to go with them to their club. Yes, the girls are sexy as they can be, and will promise you the best time of your life. Unless the best time in your life includes losing a lot of money and not getting any pussy, you will be sadly disappointed. You will see more, better, and sexier women in any bar, who will gladly dance "for you" without asking for a cent.
I chatted one up and invited her to dinner instead, and she quickly agreed. We went to the coffee place and overpaid for a meal, but I did not mind too much. It seems that they are total free-lancers. They "work" for several hours for a bar, but their work includes recruiting, so they sometimes just go dancing, and if they feel like it, go back to "work". If they have no customers they just sit and talk, anyway. After her meal she went back to the streets to recruit foreigners.
She agreed to come to my hotel the next day, for a fee, of course. She did come, several hours late (she had been "working" until 9:00 a. M.) and wanted 150 lats for the pleasure of her company. When you make money so easily from dumb tourists by just shaking your ass, I guess you are going to ask for top dollar for everything else. Economically seen Latvia in a desolate condition and the government may go bankrupt by summer if it does not receive soon a major credit from the EU. In Essential you will find about 80 % men and 20% girls. About 75% of men are foreigners from western european countries, the Middle East or Africa. Most of the girls are there with their friends or boyfriends and frankly speaking by far not that beautyful as girls you can see on the streets during the day.
In La Rocca there are much more russians. The proportion of men to woman is still very bad, about 75% to 25%. Again, girls are there either with their friends or boyfriends.
So, forget about that clubs if you wanna get to know freebies. The best option in my opinion is to try smaller clubs or bars or to aproach them during daytime in bars. This requires however a lot of courage and good communication skills. And don't forget that they have a certain foreigner aversion! So, its very difficult.
BTW, if you wanna pay you just have to go to old Riga between 8pm and 11pm and you will always find some girls who aproach you. I found that quite bothering though.
Finally, I have to say that I had some freebie fun due to some existing contact I had. Otherwise I would have been left stranded.

My first trip to Latvia was about three years ago with my best friend. I have been in Riga a couple of weeks ago. First of all don't get worried about all the rip offs and muggings. It's safe as long as you apply common sense, don't look like a rich asshole screaming to be robbed and stay away from the striptease bars.
So here my report.

Yeah well... what IS it about these nouveau riche places like Riga, Moscow, etc? Latvia isn’t that poor anymore
According to a friend who has been to Latvia before it joined the EU, it was like heaven and he thought it was such a pity that he couldn’t stay much longer as he was there for business.
IMHO Latvia is extremely overrated. Since joining the EU they have gathered loads of EU funding: on many buildings, bridges, trains, buses, and even private homes of people, etc you see the logo of the EU’s European Structural Fund. This has made them really rich because as my local friends have explained me it’s a cultural thing there. Get EU funding for your projects and you can get half of your company given to you for free with EU funding or tell the EU you are building a community building while you are actually building a 2nd house for yourself. It is really funny for what stuff you can get EU funding….
There is a rich part and a poor part in Riga
Latvian women look more and more westernized, well at least the university students I have talked to. Since I was only staying in richer parts of Riga I haven’t seen much of the poorer parts where rich Latvian kids don’t hang out. When going to eat at the big Ludo restaurant out of town when going there with a tram you will see part of the unsafe poorer areas. When you go to the mafia run central market near the central bus station, you will see the real poorer part. My Latvian friends have told me stories of their friends when they went to the poorer part of Riga, and they even got beaten up and robbed of their money and clothes and shoes.
But the girls at the cheap central market look like proper Eastern European girls, and unfortunately I didn’t have enough time spending my time there. If you go hunting there, go in a bigger group as it is safer.

Enough bashing the corruption, now going to talk about girls. Are they hot? Yes, they are! But is it like going to Eastern Europe? No, it just feels like being in Western Europe – They have really westernized in this part of Eastern Europe, maybe also because you have so many western tourists coming to Latvia.
A very big disappointment to me was that girls don’t look like proper Eastern European girls like you see in for example Moldova. They are too westernized and dress like western Europeans. But that doesn’t take back that they are hotter.
