Saturday is couples only night at Paradise, so there's less of a gang bang atmosphere and more real swinging. BTW on Fri. night, Candy Club, another local club has a similar night with 7-8 pros. On these nights the pros are what attract the hordes of men as they are a sure thing and f*ck anyone who wants to, so it's not like there's actually any competition. Most of the couples on these nights come for the atmosphere and not so much to play.
Actually, the locals say that Showboat which is just outside of the city has a better scene than Paradise right now on Sat.night so you may want to consider that. I haven''t been there on a Sat. night. Both have excellent facilities. BTW in Holland outside of the city are some fabulous clubs including one that is perhaps the best in Europe, Kastel Waterloo, which is as its name applies in a huge mansion.

3) You can get to Showboat via public transportation from Am-dam. Or go to the club's website, and get the contact info for their in-house car service which will pick you up from anywhere in AM-dam and take you straight to the club - just remember to tip the driver.

I have been to Paradise club one time on a Thursday. Not for the faint of heart or shy folks. The girls are quite rough, not sure how the management figures that men will actually show up in large numbers to stand in line to fuck a 5 or 6. The scene is worth seeing once,, no more IMHO.. After visiting the FKK's, I don't have the same intial phobias about seeing people fucking around in public not to mention showering with both guys an gals while people casually walk by.

Your chances in the Wallen are slim, if all fails go to the Tromp or Dolleb. Why look for a girlfriend

You are a little off in the pricing structure of Yab Yum. That is the most expensive place in Amsterdam. Sessions there will start in the hi 100 Euro Range with a 50-75 Euro Entrance fee. Most good sessions will run you well upwards of 300-500 Euro once you make it past all the "champagne" routines.

Park 118 is the best value in town, 75 E for an hour, a few more Euros if you want the larger room with a bath.

Vienna Massage would be your second best pricewise but has more girls working than Park 118 which can be hit or miss. There menu ranges from basic massage for about 50E to full on threesome for about 450 E with quite a few options inbetween.
Go for #7 which includes all the goodies for about 135 E/hr.

Damn. What a beautiful city. I don't have much time to post now but I thought I'd give a quick update. Internet cafes aren't too common here that I can see. I found one near the train station in an alley behind the McDonalds on Damrack 34 or in that vicinity. Yesterday I walked ALL around the city. I probably walked around 7 hours including the day and night. It was raining so it kind of sucked but today is gorgeous out. I'm staying at the Marriott which is great. It's not cheap but like most of the Marriotts in Europe the quality is there and my best is really comfortable. I was dead last night after I got to my hotel.

I think I've never slept so hard in my life. My feet were so sore from walking. I walked around the RLD last night and it's super interesting to say the least. I heard you couldn't take pictures so I didn't bring my camera but I saw many people snapping photos. As long as you're not taking one of the girls I don't think anyone minds. I'll go back tonight and snap some photos.

I didn't think I could bring myself to walk into one of those window girls since there are TONS of tourists walking around. I've hobbied a ton of places around the world but this was totally different. The range of girls ranges from disgusting to gorgeous model quality. I kept walking by one girl that was HOT. She kept motioning for me to come over but there were always a ton of tourists by her. She kept laughing and waving me over. A HOT brunette from the Ukraine.

By the end of it I was exhausted. I walked home and was dead. I'll post more details about the beautiful city later. I'm taking a tour of the canals in about 10 minutes. I find most things here aren't terribly expensive compared to other cities in Europe but they aren't cheap either.

I took EasyJet for the first time from London Gatwick and be prepared for hefty fees if you go overweight. You are allowed 40 lbs. and no way in hell I can keep within that range for an 11 day trip through Europe. I paid $68 in penalties as they charge about $4 a lb over! The entire flight felt like an infomercial trying to sell you crap. Example: "Why not buy that special someone Chanel #5. It smells great and you know she deserves it...." and on and on and on. Thank God the flight was only 50 minutes. I just bought a train ticket to go to Paris tomorrow morning. Not cheap at $180 US for a first class ticket.

Internet cafes are hard to find in Paris. I finally found one here in the Latin Quarter. I really like this area. Lots of good bars and restaurants.

here is part of my report that i typed on my laptop when i was in amsterdam. i'm posting it now even though i already went to amsterdam.


finally i’m resting. today was another very busy day. yesterday i walked around a ton and today was no different. i saw many different parts of the city today. i recommend you take some sort of city tour as it’s a good base to familiarize yourself with the city. a city tour with a canal tour is 22€ which i found to be a good deal. you can do them separately if you want. 17€ for the city tour and 7€ for the water tour.

this is my 6th trip to europe in as many months. i could never get tired of the great architecture here. nothing beats europe when you consider architecture, history, and beauty. amsterdam is a very clean city. the people here are also very beautiful. the girls are taller and more beautiful than many of their european neighbors. walking around london i rarely see classically beautiful girls but it’s totally different here. amsterdam is also filled with tons of young people. in germany and switzerland you rarely see big groups or crowds of young kids but in amsterdam it is filled with them.

amsterdam is also an extremely laid back city. i would say that 90%+ of both the natives and the tourists wear blue jeans. i came during the high season so there are tons of tourists and the streets are full.

arriving from london is very easy. odds are you will fly here on a low cost carrier like easyjet. i think my ticket was only around $100 or so with taxes but then i had to pay another $60 in overweight baggage charges. when you arrive from the airport depending on where you are staying you can take the klm shuttle which is only 10.50€. it goes to 16 of the top rated hotels. even if it doesn’t go to your hotel, odds are it will go close to it. it stops in front of the airport and runs every 20 minutes and no reservations are needed. luckily they stopped right at my hotel. i think someone told me a taxi is around 35-40€ so definitely take the shuttle.

upper end hotels here are quite pricey. i’m at the marriott and it’s in a good part of town in leidseplein which houses many of the clubs and restaurants. it also has tons of clothing stores. clothes here aren’t cheap though. i noticed that either someone at easyjet or american helped themselves to some of my clothes from my bag so i had to go out and buy some new clothes. a pair of nice jeans costs 100€. ($120).

it’s quite easy to walk around the city. i haven’t taken a taxi and won’t and i haven’t even used the above ground tram system preferring to walk. many people will tell you that amsterdam is very easy to get around. that is generally true but it’s easy to get lost. something i like doing when in europe is just walking around aimlessly. i’ll walk a good hour or two then look on a map and see where i am. then i’ll make my way back to my hotel. beware though. many streets look the same here and without a map you could get lost. however, after a while you’ll notice what street you’re on and easily can make your way around.

you must have a good map if you want to get to know amsterdam. i prefer the knopf citymap guides which are quite small and will fit in a jacket pocket and folds out to show each major part of the city. i’m not sure which cities they have but i bought one for london, paris, and prague. there are six major parts of the city. they are leidseplein, the dam, museumplein/waterloo, rembrandtplein and mutplein. another good map is the suurland-falkplan- amsterdam tourist map which shows every street and canal, tram routes/stops and the museums. you can buy it from most tourist stores for around 3€.

at first i thought the city is too spread out to walk on foot but i was wrong. i’d say you can see most parts of the city with a 6 hour walk. add in several more hours if you want to stop in any part of it. make sure you have comfortable shoes as you definitely will need them. also, be careful as i don’t think pedestrians have the right of way here. i’ve seen a few people nearly get hit by cars, buses and trams. yesterday i saw a girl on a bike within 2 seconds of getting smashed like a fly from a speeding bus.

speaking of girls on bicycles, there are a ton of them riding around. some of them are damn hot too. i can’t imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer seeing all the girls with their short skirts riding around on their bikes. the bicycle seems to be the preferred method of getting around. i heard that there are as many bicycles as there are citizens here (735,000). whether that is true or not i’m not sure but there seems to be bicycles everywhere. the funny thing is they aren’t nice bicycles either. they all look old fashioned and its kind of surreal to see everyone including men on these bikes. i took tons of great pictures of bicycles chained on bridges, against buildings and in the background. one of my favorite pictures that i took was this bicycle at this restaurant with a sign that says, “no bikes”.

there are tons of great restaurants here. the food is quite good. they have every range of restaurants here. you don’t have to spend a lot of money on good food either if you don’t want to. i know some of you don’t like spending money on food or it’s not important to you. i love eating good food. i usually go to nice places at night but during the day it’s easy to snack affordable here. they have these great shaorma places with these egyptian sandwiches. they are very tasty. you can get a large sandwich, french fries and a soda for about 11€. they also have this store on leidsestraat that has snacks they put in these vending machine type windows. you simply put a 1€ coin into the slot and you pull out the food item. you can see guys in the back of the machines constantly refilling them with fresh items. i ate something last night coming home. i’m not sure what it’s called but it was this breaded item that was filled with gravy and mushrooms. it was good.

the stores close early here. most of the clothes stores close by 5:30 pm here which i find odd. there are still tons of tourists walking around so i’m not sure why they close so early. maybe they just want to relax and enjoy themselves??

the culture and people here are super laid back. if you couldn’t already tell from them accepting and legalizing prostitution, you’d figure it out when you see these stand up toilet stands that guys can use in busy touristy areas. i took a picture of it and will post it. they are these stand up toilets that guys just [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) in. it’s a little surreal to see guys taking a whiz with tons of tourists walking around. talk about an un-shy society.

there are tons of great museums here. you definitely shouldn’t miss some of them. the rijksmuseum is closed for 4 more years until mid-2008 for renovations but there are plenty of others. i also hit anne frankhuis (anne frank’s house) which was nothing major but very interesting when you consider what she went through. i just got done reading the diary of anne frank so it was especially interesting.

ok. now for some hobby information. i’ve been traveling more the past year more to see beautiful places than see beautiful girls. still, i like to combine the best of both worlds when possible. amsterdam has a ton of hobby action from clubs, private girls, rld and other options. to be honest, i’m not that motivated to hobby here. i’m saving funds for when i arrive in prague.

i walked down the rld and it’s very interesting. you can read and hear all about it but until you are walking down it you can’t really appreciate what it’s like. keep in mind there are a ton of tourists here. not only men but women as well visit it out of curiosity.

i always thought that rld would be bigger than it is. it’s actually a small area. just look at a map at the damstraat area. locate oudezijds voorburgwal as far north as the oude kerk (old church). as expected, the girls are in apartments with red lights around the window frames. some of the girls are downright nasty. some of them are fat and just plain ugly. how they make money is perhaps the biggest mystery i’ve encountered in my trips to europe. it might be from the drunk guys walking around. i saw many british guys that were so drunk they could barely walk.

there are also several hotties in some of the windows. none of the girls look like they are from the netherlands. instead many looked hispanic, asian, eastern european and brazilian. they are all wearing bikinis or some other sexy outfits like two girls i saw in skimpy nurses uniforms. the girls will wink at you or tap on the window to get your attention. it really takes a girl that is not shy to do this as there are so many tourists that come here.

They are taxed just like any other business and I'm sure the government does quite well with the taxes but honestly the government/city gets more out of it in tourism dollars with curious tourists and guys going to Amsterdam to see the RLD. These tourists have to stay in a hotel, eat, take transportation, etc.

Fashion is very important. The right brands, the right shoes. Maybe you hate it, but it is the way it is.

Where do you get your pricing info ? The only windows in Amsterdam that offer F &S for 30E are in the Pijp, Singel, or the Asian and African Girls by the Church and towards the Niewmarket (sp?) I am 24 and am planning a trip to Asterdam for late Dcember early January. I have saved up about 3,500 so far American. I think it will cost 500 for tickets and 500 for a 5 day stay. I was wondering what some of the best places to visit are. Considering I have about 1,500 to 2,500 as spending cash when I am there I was wondering what I should blow it on. Which hotels are best and what time of year is it best to visit and what to watch for so I don't get ripped off also wondering if anyone knows how much the pot out there costs for an ounce?

For cheaper deals consider a stay in nearby Haarlem, Leiden or Alkmaar. All three cities have good rail connections to Amsterdam from very early till very late.

If the $500 for five days are for hotels alone, no problem. If they are for hotel+food+drinks, you might have a problem.
Unless you go to YabYum, you will probably not be able to fuck your way through $300 a day. RTFF and you will find that spending $100 makes most people very happy.

Here is my AMS advice, hope it helps:

The layout of Amsterdam is pretty straightforward. Central Station is the train station and it sits "atop" the city (I think it is North). The city is divided into sections, which are pretty much cut up by canals. Whichever direction it is, the city is thought of with Central Station at 12:00. You can take a train to Central Station from the airport, or a taxi directly to your hotel for around $40US.

Below Central Station (less than 1 mile) is Dam Square and the Royal Palace, that is kind of like the center of the city. This main section of Amsterdam (Central Station/Dam Square/Royal Palace) is called City Center. I think it is also called Damrak.

The section to the right of this area is the most famous Red Light District.

The section to the left is called Singel.

The section below City Center is called Leidensplein.

These are the main areas that I would focus on.

Everything is connected by a great tram system, that hubs back at Central Station. It gets a bit confusing (especially if you have been visiting a coffeeshop), so I usually get a "day pass," which is around eight or ten bucks. Just ask the conductor, who sits in a booth on the tram for a day pass. If there is no conductor, ask the driver. That ticket is good all day for any tram.

hotels -

The best hotel in town is Grand Krasnapolsky. In Dec/Jan, that place should run about $150-$200 per night. It is a classic European Hotel, at least four stars -- if not five. It is located between Dam Square and Central Station, and less than a ten minute walk from the main Red Light District.

Second choice, Hotel Victoria. It is right across from Central Station, and is very nice-- classic European hotel, but a definite notch below the Grand Kras. You'll probably spend around $150/night. It's also a ten minute walk.

You can also go for a smaller hotel, just make sure that you can get in and out 24 hrs/ day. Some of the smaller places are run by a married couple, and you'll quickly turn them into enemies when you stagger to the door and start banging to get in at 4am. They'll run less than $100/night. I recommend both the Singel Hotel Amsterdam and the Multatuli. They are probably fifteen minute walks to the RLD.

Both of these are nicely located close to City Center, but on the other side of town from the RLD. Singel Hotel is near one of my favorite places for a wake and bake, called Floyd's. A place that I really liked that is a bit better than those two, but a notch below the Victoria was called NH City Centre. It is in a section of City Center called "Spuistrat," which is in the south of the main City Center. Kind of like how Greenwich Village is in the south of Manhattan. That hotel is a twenty minute walk to the main RLD (but only ten minutes from the Singel RLD -- more on that later).

Be careful not to make a mistake by trying to save a few bucks, and staying outside of the main city. A lot of hotels are technically in Amsterdam, but can be a twenty minute train ride away from the fun. The last thing you want to be doing at 4am is trying a figure out where Central Station is, waiting 45 minutes for a train, taking a 20 minute train ride to your hotel, and then walking another five minutes to get there. Stay in City Center (or Singel).

Finally, if you think you might be partying heavily, the Grand Kras and the Victoria have the benefit of being landmarks, so any taxi driver can get you there. I have spent an hour in the back of a cab, running up a 100 euro fare, trying to find my hotel (with the full knowledge that the cabbie was taking advantage of the situation).

Red Light Districts -

The main RLD centers around the Old Church. Looking at a map of AMS, with Central Station at the top, the RLD is at 2:00 on the clock. It is quite massive, you'll notice it by the obvious ladies in the windows, which have red lights over them (or around them). It is pretty easy to find, and takes a good couple of hours to take in all the sights. The RLD kind of centers around the "Old Church," which a landmark that everybody knows (they also know you are looking for the RLD not a church, but if you are asking a little old lady or a cop, it is a bit more politically correct). Blue lights mean he/shes. Ladies are generally of similar nature on certain streets (Europeans on one street, Latinos on another, Thais on another, etc, etc). So, if you are in the mood for some Thai, once you find one, you'll probably quickly find a good selection by sticking around that general area (usually, but not always).

The basic fee is 50 euro, which comes out to $65 US. Plan on a bit more for multiple positions, and always clarify topless, multiple positions, or anything else you want. 50 euro is a five minute suck followed by a one-position shot on goal, with both parties fully naked. Negotiate in the doorway, not in the room, to make sure you don't end up spending $120 when you could have spent $80. Or, you can just plan on getting off for 50 euro. When I find a lady I like, I usually say hi, kind of lean in the door and say "fifty," she say yes. Then once the door is closed, I say both of us nude, a couple of positions, ok? She usually says "twenty more." I say yes, and off we go. Make sure you have proper change, if you give her eighty euro, don't expect ten back. Anal is tough to find, S&M is easier. Almost all have sex toys (but again negotiate first before junior decides that stuffing those anal beads up her ass while you are doing it doggie style is worth another 50 euro).

There are literally hundreds of girls working at almost all times of the day (it is slow 3/4am - 9am). Some sections of that area can be a bit nasty at night. I know there one section that I seem to happen across once or twice while walking around that is just off of the RLD and is heavily Jamaican. It is a scary place, and whenever I make the mistake of wandering there, I quickly turn around and get back into the crowds. There are always junkies, panhandlers, and drug dealers lurking around, usually near the bridges that cross the canals. They should be avoided, best accomplished by simply ignoring them. You will be solicited for "charley, cocoa, viagra, hashish." Don't respond -- the last thing you need is to either get ripped off, buy fake drugs, or get arrested. I have heard that pickpockets are around also, but luckily have not had that problem. As is the case anywhere, carry a copy of your passport, and a days supply of cash. Leave the rest at the hotel. On the weekends, there are drunk kids from England, Ireland, and everywhere staggering around.

The sex shows are a rip off. They run about 40euro, and feature one or two couples screwing in different positions for a half hour. The Banana Bar is a strip joint, which can be fun if you have a good load on. It is about the same price to get in, and the girls do tricks with bananas, and will write postcards with their privates. It is still a rip off, but better than a sex show. You get one hour in there, free beer (for a tip), and a very crowded/drunk audience that you have to fight over to get to the girls. Then you can eat a banana, or have a postcard sent home to mom, or whatever. Again, still a rip off, just less than the sex shows.

Don't ever take pictures of the ladies in the windows.

In the Singel section (which is on the other side of City Center), there is also a RLD, which I prefer. It is in the South/Center of Singel. It features a lot of latin women, is much less touristy, and tends to run about 40 euro versus 50 euro. Also in Southern Singel there is a great coffeeshop called the Grey Area, which is run by a couple of Americans. The nice thing about NH City Centre (hotel) is that it is a hop, skip, and a jump away from Singel's RLD and the Grey Area. You are basically separated from the best parts of Singel by a canal.

Apparently, there are other RLDs throughout the country, but I am not familiar with any others.

Coffeeshops and Bars -

Coffeeshops are all over the city. Floyd's is a five minute walk from Central Station, I think it is in the northern section of Singel. They open at 7am, and have a very, very high quality selection of hash and weed. It is a great place to get breakfast. Most places are open from nine or ten until midnight, or so.

Abraxis is down near NH City Centre, and is a nice place that has a nice selection, and the Grey Area is fantastic for quality weed.

My best advice is to stick to these kind of places to procure your day's supply and then go out around town. You cannot smoke anywhere, but about 1/3 of the bars in town will permit you to light up (sometimes only at a table, or in a certain section). Just ask the bartender.

I'd avoid the Bulldog, or any of the other places that have been around forever and have a famous name -- they are pricey and the quality of herb is not there. There are also "smartshops," which offer other organic goods, such as Peyote or Mushrooms. Overall, your ability to feret out a quality coffeeshop will make the difference between getting massively stoned for the week, and spending the week working on getting stoned. Spend the time to find a good shop, and then make sure you find a hash or a weed that you like. If a hash has the word "cream" in it, it is generally of higher quality. If you just have to visit one of those "famous" coffeeshops, so you can tell the boys back home you partied there, go in, get an eight euro gram of weed (that costs five euro anywhere else in town) to be polite, but smoke some of that fine herb you picked up at Floyd's or Grey Area.

In terms of bars, there is a great selection of everything, from dance clubs to dives. If you like beer, you will be in heaven -- you are wedged between Germany and Belgium and get a fanastic selection of European beers.

Leidensplein (to the south of City Centre) is the heart of the "younger set's" nightlife. It is pretty much techno/transe music. Most of the town kind of turns into a techno party on Friday and Saturday, when it seems that every European between 18 and 25 comes to Amsterdam for the weekend. Otherwise, if you are just looking for a more low key place, it should take you less than ten minutes to find once you start walking around. Virtually every block in City Center has at least one bar and one coffeeshop.

You can also buy weed or hash in a few bars (maybe 10%), which is good to know in case you run out in the wee hours. But, it is doubtful that you will run out; a stoner in Amsterdam is like a kid in a candy store. Even if you have a pocket full of nuggets, it is tough to resist getting "just one gram" of that sticky purplish/green Hawaiian/Humbolt cross that you just happened upon. Keep in mind that the legal limit for possession is five grams, however.

Funds --

It runs about $400-$500 to get there, and anywhere from $100-$200 per night to stay there. I usually get Euro travelers checks from American Express, which can be cashed many places. I bring a few hundred bucks, and exchange a hundred at the airport in the US before I leave. Exchange rates suck in airports -- so only exchange enough for pocket change, the taxi or train, and tips to get you to your room. Then, I use an ATM once a day if I need money. That is your best exchange rate, just remember that many banks count Friday - Sunday as one day (so if you take out 300 euro on Friday you may be SOL until Monday ATM wise).

You are not going to buy the weed or hash by the ounce, but by the gram. It is very potent. I found that a gram of very good hash easily lasted two people for the day (!). That ran about ten euro ($12 US). I also found that a five-euro gram of average weed didn't last two hours in a coffeeshop, and it didn't get you very stoned. Don't even think about bringing even one seed back to the US.

I generally found that between, food, drink, smoke, and women, I was spending about 200 euro per day, which is less than $300 US. If was planning a five day/four night trip, I'd figure $1000 transportation and lodging. Then I'd figure another $1000 for fun. $2000 - $2500 would be a good budget.

Where to visit -

The only touristy place worth visiting is the Heineken Factory; it's like five bucks and you get a gift and to drink beers. The only casino in town is in Leidensplein, and it sucks. You're not in Amsterdam for the museums, you can see that stuff anywhere. Have fun, it is one of my favorite cities.

I'm not sure if I misunderstand or that you are wrong, but from CentralStation you walk over Damrak (a street) to get to the Dam (a square).
During that 10 min walk, half a mile at the most, the Singel is on your right and a little later the main RLD is on your left, after you passed the sightseeing boats.

Just to clarify my references to right and left, that is looking at a map with Central Station at the top. So, yes, if you are walking from Central Station, the RLD is on the left and Singel is on the right -- and you'd have to keep walking forward (quite a bit) to get to Leidensplein. If you are looking at a map, Central Station is at 12:00, RLD is at 2:00, Singel is at 9:00, Leidensplein is at 6:00.

Not to start a debate, but for whatever it is worth, I wouldn't care if DaVinci were brought back from the dead, and you could go watch him paint while he explained his deepest thoughts and feelings about the Mona Lisa -- that's not why I flew across the Atlantic.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT patronize the African women around the Oude Kerk. They will lie about what they charge to get you in their kaamer, then once you are in they will start asking for money

I am going first week of September for 2 days staying at Tulip Inntel centre which is between Central and Dam, close to RLD and Singel.
Two days does not leave me time to do everything, however I would like to have a punt in Alkmaar and Singel, can anyone give me any tips about Singel as it is my first time in Amsters since 1969! Singel appears better than RLD.

Regarding blue lights:

Made my first trip to Ams earlier this week, I have already posted on the Alkmaar board about my trip there.

Stayed at Golden Tulip Inntel close to Station and Singel.I had a note to visit Korta. 26B but there didn't seem to be a 26. Around Singel there are quite a few working girls, be careful on Spuistraat, a TS works there, not sure if number 59 but has Thai massage signs in window.

Nice post earlier and very descriptive! Well done. It’s the long detailed reports that really take me back. When you mention "The section to the right of this area is the most famous Red Light District" this is well known as De Walletjes or De Wallen, boy do I miss Amsterdam and can't wait to return.

I wanted to chime in on what was mentioned about the well known coffeeshops, "I'd avoid the Bulldog, or any of the other places that have been around forever and have a famous name -- they are pricey and the quality of herb is not there" I on the other hand would not steer anyone away on the generalization.

The Grasshopper which is literally steps from Centraal Station in Damrak on Brugstraat has some of the best buds in town, not to mention the ketema - Nederhasj. The buds are not pre-bagged and the price is literally the same as other coffeeshops, true you can not buy an ounce, as by law any coffeeshop can only sell 5 grams in one visit. Just like the women in town, you have to shop around and you will discover a few unknowns.

As far as prices go for the trim, I have never said a number initially right off the bat. Due to the possibility the girls might offer themselves for lower price than I would expect, leaving me with more cash to tip and play with. And if you had a nice time with a girl, I suggest doing her again and you might see a special touch for your return business.

It’s been a few months since I have been to A'Dam and I am getting anxious. I will return again in November roaming the canals stoned, searching for that warm kamer with inviting rewards to be found. I've made a map of the main red light district and the "Singel" red light district in Amsterdam. It's an Excel sheet that fits on one A4 when printed. To make it fit on one page and to keep it readable it's not drawn to scale.

The letters A, B, C and TS represent the kind of girls you can expect in a given street: good girls (A), so-so girls (B), bad girls (C) or transsexuals (TS). The letters don't represent houses or rooms or even single girls. In fact the houses with girls are often interrupted by sex shops, cafes, hotels et cetera but I didn't include them on the map.

Where it says ABABA et cetera the population is mixed. I mean, you can always encounter an A between B's or a B between A's. And when you're lucky you might even encounter an A between C's, but that's rare. It's more likely you will meet a C between A's...

I've never noticed blue lights but maybe that's because I visit Amsterdam by daylight most of the time. I don't know if you want to avoid or visit TS but anyway I can assure you that the TS are concentrated in 4 streets, as you can see on my map also: Gordijnensteeg, Bloedstraat, Barndesteeg and the corner of Koestraat / Oudezijds Achterburgwal. You will hardly ever find a TS elsewhere.

Also, you don't need much mongering experience to see they are TS. A lot of them don't even try to hide it.

Maybe the blue lights are just the fashion? Or those lights against mosquitos? Or black lights (but they are purple?).

I think you should read this forum before posting questions like that but this is what I can tell you in general: 99% percent of the really good-looking girls will not do BBBJ and certainly not CIM. Quick report from an Amsterdam first-timer:

In town for IBC last weekend, I saw AMS and its RLD for the first time. I wasn't expecting much from the RLD except touristy ripoffs but quickly saw a slim, dark-haired hottie in a window near the end of the RLD labelled In Den Lichtenkooi.

As far as I can tell, all of the hotels in the Netherlands are fine with an escort. Prostitution is legal in Holland, and the policies of the hotels reflect that fact. In addition, unlike the third world, your escort is unlikely to spend the night, and the hotels know it. Not dead, just a reflection IMO of Amsterdam. There is little to add on earlier posts. I go there regularly: the RLD is a rip-off, prives are hit & miss and would be written about in that section. Nothing new happening. I'm going in a couple of days and may try a new (for me) Prive, but Amsterdam is not so hot anymore. A short train ride to Alkmaar, Hague etc gets better value.

Everyone should visit Amsterdam on their mongering tour. While working on the continent and in London it became a regular weekend stop for me. I also began taking direct trips there from the US and then going on to my final destination. Here is my recommendation on how to make your first trip and weekend successful.

Most flights from the US arrive early in the morning. Let your hotel know in advance you will need an early check in. They are usually accomodating. I recommend the Marriott. I have found that the best looking girls in the RLD are in the alleys near the church. But a first time visitor should walk around and see all the sights. But come back here. Just returned from a trip to Ams and it was certainly an experience. I agree with other posters that the RLD was mostly a trousist thing and the service you get there is definitely not what you would get at a privee. Even after I thought I had negotiated to great details, the girls would still go back on their words after you have paid. I would check it out for the experience but not invest too much $ in the RLD.

As for hotels, any hotel near the Dam is close to the RLD. Check out the NH affiliated hotels. I stayed at the NH City Center and it wasn't too bad.

I checked out Park 118 which was reported by others to be the most affordable privee. Others I wanted to try were Vienna Massage and Candy Club. I thought I was charged more for an hour of time by the house (I was charged 100 euro) than reported, but the quality of service was so much better for the standard 40 euro for the girl. I went to two places, Candy Club and Parkside 118. Candy Club asked for 17 Euros to enter and the girl, Sylvia from Valencia, asked for 50 Euros. So, for 67 Euros, I was able to have sex, but it was out in the open.

The convention I'm attending has booked the NH Grand Krasnapolsky for me and other delegates - it's supposedly the best 5-star hotel in town.

The lobby is huge and generally so busy that nobody really takes notice and if you have an escort visit you then she will be dressed in such away as to be totally inconspicuous. But you might have to line up for breakast, I kid you not, it reallly happened.

I would suggest to you though, that its hell to get a hotel room during this period in Amsterdam, so you might want to book a room in advance for the period that you need it.

If you like mixing grass and girls you wll have an incredible time, if not, you will still have an incredible time.

Given what you said below, I might just stay at the Kras after all. I don't mind a walk of shame (I have no shame ;)). Besides, no-one I know personally will be there as far as I know.

Living in Dubai, it was automatic to ask if a hotel if Girl Friendly, as some hotels here are not (despite the roaring and inexpensive hooker trade - e.g. I pay about US$80 or less *all night* for delicious Russians, Chinese, Africans, etc).

My organizers already have a room booked for me at the Kras, so I think I'll just leave things as they are. Is it easy to get to the main RLD and the Singel RLD from there?

Piper its a pleasure man - actually I am also based in the Middle East and not that far away. I have always had these thoughts about Dubai.

Anyway the girls in Holland are a little more expensive then the $80. - you would spend in Dubai.

If you have the time and can make your way to a quaint town called Alkmaar
the RLD there is even more low key, lots of East European ladies, but that might have changed due to a clamp down on immigrations laws.Alkmaar is a 45 minute train ride from Amsterdam.

To get to the main RLD you exit the Kras main doors turn left and at the end of the block turn left again - its only a few streets away and very convenient in relation to the hotel. It is spread out though. Part of the RLD is at the back of the hotel. One word of warning is this particular RLD has gone down in value. I had some wild times here but there is better to be had. The experience though is not to be missed. If you have never seen the windows it will blow your mind away. Things really start cooking at night.

I will send you details of the Singel RLD I dont remember the street names but its about a 7 minute walk from the Kras.

As for brothels Vienna Massage is a keeper but there are others. I had the best experience from Women of the World Escort Agency, a lady by the name of Noa. Stunning Dutch student, classy, compliant and great company. That will run you close to $200.- if I am not mistaken and worth every cent.

If a window girl does strike your fancy you might beable to convince her to come back to the hotel but they don't really like to do that.

Being a 5 star hotel the brekkie is one would expect to get in an establishment of this standard, excellent and high quality. Defintely not the few slices of ham and bread as is the case in less quality hotels.

What did blow my mind as I mentioned was the fact that one morning guests had to wait on line due to the hotel being fully booked out.When the Kras is full its crowded. The dining rooms can not quite accomodate a full breakfast sitting.

For those that like to eat breakfast out there are a ton of places that serve a mean bacon and eggs. One of the best in my eyes is a coffee shop called Barney's ( there are 2 ) where you can have a big fat joint, together with your pancakes, bacon, eggs and excellent Dutch coffee.

Good advice Buzz, thanks. I'll avoid them. Sounds like my home city in the West. I'd almost forgotten, living in Dubai for years. Here, SW's are virtually all drug free. In fact, the very few junkies there are here, are more likely to be found in the nightclubs. An old fave of mine who had been clean for over a year when I met her is now serving time in the pen.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the clubs and found there was no rush to pick a girl. In fact some locals go there and only drink. The ones I went to had unlimited drinks for the men. Any brand you wanted. As always tipping the bar staff helped. They also served as good sources of information on particular girls, as to their level of activity and boundaries.

hi everyone, just like to re-introduce myself to this board with a brief trip report from my recent excursion.

Fedex, you must have got all the info you want from Ignatzmice, but very briefly;

Singel - like De Pijp an area more for the locals generally not visited by tourists passing through. I wasnt aware of its existence during my first trip. Usually an area with a load of nice girls but not as cute as many in the main RLD. You can still get girls at 35 Euro for a 20 minute suck and fuck. As they cater more for locals the girls tend to offer better value as they they have to rely more on repeat customers.

De Pijp - like the Singel in that its more frequented by locals. I haven't been offerred a 35 Euro session here but then I've only sampled the talents of the area a few times. Been there, tried to do that.

Let's assume you arrive at 07:00 and have departing flight a 11:00. If it arrives on time and you can get off the plane fast enough, you can get by passport control and to the taxi rank by 07:30. You would then on any day, get to the Wallen RLD by 08:00. Taxi fare is about 40-45 Euros depending on the route taken.

I am sorry to say that the pickings at that time on any day are very slim to almost none, depending on your tastes. You may run around in useless circles looking for someone, anyone, to satisfy your needs. And you may, and will likely come away with nothing.

It really is hyper hit or miss in the morning and mostly miss. The best morning ladies come on at no earlier than 10:00 and usually at 11:00.

You would then need to get a taxi back to Schiphol (another wasted 40-45 Euros) by no later than 09:30 to catch your flight since passport control lines at Schiphol, while better than what they once were, can still be bad - a hit or miss situation. You probably won't miss your connecting flight but you may still worry like hell. Also they now have x-ray security check at the gate and that will add some more time and sometimes significant time to your boarding depending on the size of the aircraft.

Good luck if you do try it. I tried to do it, it was not successful and ultimately very stressful.
