there have been a couple of positive reports on the showboat swingers club in zaandijk near amsterdam. i had been there a few times in the summer and to be honest i wasn't impressed and had made my mind up never to go back. but given recent reports i thought that i would give it another go, yesterday, because by all accounts things there must have picked up.

one of the biggest selling points for me about this place is that it is not too far from amsterdam so you can make a day trip and return to amsterdam without booking a hotel. there are other dutch swingers clubs around amsterdam but they are much further away e. g. like in lelystad which is over an hour by train. the nearest main train station for the showboat, zaandam, is only a 15 minute ride from amsterdam centraal and then you can take a bus which gets there in 15 minutes or a taxi which will cost around 12 euros. the 89 bus is once every half an hour and you need to get off at koperslagerstraat and walk forward for about 20 metres.
i caught the last bus for the evening which left zaandam at 11. 30pm and by midnight i was changing clothes in the club and raring to go. getting changed in the communal changing room with other women taking off or putting on their clothes puts you in the mood.

It's a large sauna, with swimming pool, clean and pleasant.

All are close to th RLD. 5minute-10minute walking time MAX. The Grand Kras and Roode Leeuw are closest, about 1block away. The RLD is a bit too sketchy for me to stay there at night. Never found a decent to nice hotel in it either. I know you said budget hotels, but I'd highly recommend paying just a wee bit more and look into the hotels I mentioned. Walk up to the door, press the door bell, and the fun begins.
When you walk into the place, the office is on the left. There they will collect your money (40 euros when I went on Sunday evening), and they will take your coat or any other items you would like to drop off. They give you a ticket, which you give to the barman who will mark off your drinks as you get them. You pay for the drinks as you leave. From here, you walk about fifteen feet down a corridor, and bang - you are there. There is one large open room which is divided off into smaller more intimate areas, some of which can be blocked off with a curtain. As you take in the sights, you may notice a couple fucking away on the bed immediately in front of you. if you turn right, you will find a small bar area. It will take you about 45 seconds to check out the alcove areas, and your introductory tour is complete. I went to the bar, got a beer, and sat back to get the lay of the land, so to speak.
The first thing you notice is that a) almost everyone has their clothes on, and b), there is not the obligatory changing room and lockers where you change out of your clothes and are then given a towel which you feel obliged to carry around with you for the rest of the night. People drop clothes where they are as the need arises. I did not feel any issue of security about this. The place feels like a neighborhood bar where people just happen to go fuck, so it is not like other places in Amsterdam where you feel that if you take your eyes of something for a second, it will disappear.
As described in other reports, this place is essentially a brothel. It is the usual drill. There are lots of Eastern European girls (Romania, Bulgaria). They come up to you, rub your cock, ask if you want to fuck, tell you it will be 50 euros, and then, if you accept, they take you to one of the two small rooms where they can draw the curtains. - CP has a great facility - probably five times the size of CC. CP has a sauna, a great indoor pool, and great private rooms.

FugitI do it all the time. Generally my flights arrive around 9:00 am and I have to be back at the Airport for a 2:00pm connection. You have more than enough time.
You can put all your hand luggage in a locker in the departure lounge for Eu 6. 00. (Don't forget to take your passport and boarding card for the next flight with you). You can buy train tickets from machines on the way out of the airport or from a kiosk just outside. You need a ticket to Amsterdam Centraal; day return is Eu 7. 60. Trains run about every 12 minutes.
