johan007 you're 100% right. Norway is expensive not only in our hobby but expensive for everything. I visted Oslo and Bergen and saw no SWs or trace of reasonably priced action. A quick update on Oslo’s strip clubs. There are about six clubs, of varying quality. I’ve listed them by order of best-to-worst:
1. VIP Go-Go Bar, Bernt Ankersgt.5 (near Youngstorvet). Tel: Cover: 100 NOK (around US$14). Usually six-seven girls each day (closed Sundays). Most from Eastern Europe, 7-10. Very good show. While the seating could be better, it’s still the best place to visit for a strip-tease. There are also some Thai girls in the club each night, but they are likely from a Thai massage parlor in the same building.
2. The Ten Club, Haakon VIIs gt. 5-B (close to Nationaltheatret). Web site: http://www.the10club.no. Cover: NOK 100 (plus mandatory 20 NOK for clothes hanger for jackets). The cover charge twice as expensive as the other clubs, while the quantity of girls is usually low (3 or so) and the interior is the worst of any of the clubs. Alright well, I decided to do some research this week.
(Right now the Norwegian kronor is approx 7.2 kroner to US $1)
INCALLS:
There are many incalls of 1 girl type (but most likley with a pimp somewhere, I doubt they are actually independent. Thanks guys for all of the info on Oslo. This was all really useful for my own trip there last weekend. Friday night was busy when I explored the area at around 11pm. Skippergata seemed the busiest street. The top end of the road, nearer Karl Johanes, had a few unsavoury-looking characters around looking drugged although they weren't being in any way threatening. The rest of the street down as far as Myntgata had a good selection of girls, probably about twenty in all, with a mix of black girls, eastern european types and some drugged-looking locals. Prices may be going down, but my impression is that it only applies to street walkers. And that scene is just too seedy for my tastes, and besides, like the previous poster said, Oslo isn't that big and the SW scene is pretty much concentrated around a downtown area, meaning there is a risk of being seen by someone you know.

I'm here in Oslo for a few days and have not yet partaken of the ladies here. There are two reasons. Probably Oslo is the worst place for mongering. First quality is bad, price is high and it's illegal. Sex for pay in Oslo seems quite difficult. It's illegal, the prices are absurd and Oslo hardly come up when you google 'hot city'. The god news is though that it's possible to find some action and also something worth paying for.
The street action takes place around Tollbodgaten south of the Central Station and parallel with the main street Karl Johans Gate. Actually, I found a swingers' club on line and went there on Tuesday night. The two guys who were working that night were very friendly and helpful. Both spoke enough English to help me communicate. The only other place I can compare Oslo with is Stockholm. Same setup. But at least in Stockholm prices are lower, and last time I was there I found some shadow of, if not crazyness, at least colour in a few people.
Unless you must be there for business, my advice would be to stay away. The place is an expensive, neat desert.

As I am living in Oslo and a few times have "had some fun" I thought it would be nice to write some of my experiences.
First of all, remember that in Norway it is illegal to pay for sex, you do a crime as soon as you have attempted to make a deal to pay for sex. The fines for this crime is up to 3000 EURO! But use your head, and the risk is not that high.
1. Streetwalkers. There is a lot of streetwalkers in Oslo, close to the central station (Karl Johans gate, skippergata). Mostly girls from Nigeria. I don't know the prices, as I have not tried the streetwalkers after the law (not paying for sex law). The risk here is after my opinion biggest here, a lot of police in the area and not discrete.
2. Apartments a lot of girls work in apartments, mostly east European girls, but also some Norwegians. Prices is from 900. 2000 crowns for a half hours, and 1500. 4000 crowns for an hour (Norwegian girls on the top of the price list). Sometimes it is possible to get a quick suck and fuck cheaper. Apartments are quite safe, hotels a bit more risk.

Happy ending (hand job) , from 200. 500 crowns extra, a few places you can touch the girl but not that common. I have only been offered more services at one place, but it was closed by the police two months ago. Remember also happy endings, are illegal in Norway. Thai massage places are quite safe, but two months ago, it was some writings in Norwegian newspapers about them, and the police told the press that they would have an extra eye on this places.

Sorry for heading all the bad reviews about Oslo but this is the reality here. If you want to monger Scandinavia is probably not the place to go. Prostitution is illegal but paying for sex is illegal. You can be fined around 2000-3000 for this. In my mind you can find three type of prostitutes here in Oslo:

Went to Ban Buriram Thai Massage on the corner of Herebs Gate and Tøyengata near the botanical garden as it was pretty close to both my hotel and the train station.
