Novosibirsk is the Bangkok of Russia. If you can speak Russian, you'll be OK.

Both cities are very cheap, but if you don't speak Russian and your visa is not in order, well, it will certainly be memorable.

Explorer8939-

I've seen your postings around - thanks for the information, you seem to have some knowledge of the Russian cities. I am looking to travel for two months in Russia next summer. I have some ideas about settling in a city for a few weeks, renting an apartment, experience the local action, then moving on to do the same in another city. For various reasons I've got Novosibirsk, Omsk, Ekaterinburg and Ufa in mind. I know you previously mentioned that Novosibirsk is the Bangkok of Russia ( I hope to be intermediate conversational by next summer - using Pimsleur). Can you elaborate on any knowledge or opinions you have of this city and the others? What about the safety in these cities? I always think safety is a lot of common sense, but then one reads the latest report on Voronezh and begins to wonder.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey I read on a newspaper that IRKUTSK girls are the beautifulest girls in the world. The paper said that Moscow guys (in communist period) were doing the travel to look for a wife (it's 2000 km from Moscow)

Maybe you should go there to see if it's real ...

Bye.

Here is a very useful site.

http://www.eatlas.ru/scripts/ymap.dll/english/dmap.html?name=1061808283670&w=354&h=280&map=msk_eng&group=english

this is a mapping site in both English and Russian.
(the link is to the english version)

It allows searches for streets/metros etc. Extremely useful for finding those private apartments or showing someone where you need to go.

I have printed out both an English (transliterated) map and Russian cyrillic map of where I will be staying. It will make it easy to show a taxi and for me to follow stret signage.

I hope it is of help to people.

Here is a very interesting way fing the regular Russian Pros. If you speak Intermediate to Good Russian you can go directly to this site:
http://omen.ru/love/poiski.htm
For those of you like me who only speak a little Russian first open this site:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and paste the omen.ru/love/poiski.htm link into the web site translator.
Most of these women probably speak little or no English but since the prices, phone number and sometimes even the metro stations they live at are there you should be able to at least meet them outside a station and sort figure out business. The prices per hour, 2 hours and Night are at the bottom of each page and there are women there for EVERY taste (old, young, fat, big breasts, 2 girls, BSDM, Anal, Etc.)
The site has info for all of Russia but only St. Petersburg and Moscow seem to have alot of entries.
The only this I can say is that I have NOT been to any of the women here as I have a new Russian lady friend. If she does not work out then I will happy to give my first hand experience with the above site.
The only cautionary rule here is that if someone wants to rob you going to thier apartment and having 5 big Russian guys mug you wouldn't be hard so meeting them at a metro station deciding to go to their place or yours is up to you.
Also, for anyone who speaks almost no Russian and can still manage to meet the girl a print out in Russian of her website with the prices clearly on the bottom will prevent "Gringo price hikes". Thanks to MIKE #3 for pointing me to this site

Across,

The price written in the advertisement usually means nothing. When you phone you have to ask them how much it will be. And if you say that you read something different, they will say that's only advertisement, that it was not them to write it and that they don't even know what (and where) is advertised.

Expect to pay 40-50 dollars per hour to 70-80.

If the price is lower usually it's because you have to order a girl and minimum time is 2 hours.

If the price is higher, probably it's a vip salon or they want to rip you off.

And don't forget that sometimes the photos are fakes.

Guys,

There was a report on the BBC website that made statements suggesting that the HIV virus demographic spread (outside Asia & Africa) is WORST in Russia and Ukraine.

It suggested that the high increase in IV drug abuse was the main contributing factor, and that some 5+% of the population are infected, and the percentage is due to rise dramatically between now and 2008 or so.

Just a warning shot, to suggest that "belt 'n' braces" are used. (i.e. Condoms and check for needle tracks!)

Happy Hunting all you lucky mongerers. I've been to Russia several times and have never failed to be impressed by the quality of the talent available, it would be a shame if that lasting memory of the "hot Blond" from St pet or Mosw turned out to leave more than a memory with you!

ygm... I'm not sure of the context of your question... everyone has urea plasma... it is a method of measuring kidney function. Another name is BUN, blood urea nitrogen, and it is present in your blood. If you have a build up of BUN, it is an indication of kidney disease. As your BUN increases it is an indication of an increase in the severity of the disease.

It's not like it is an STD... I hope this helps.

The photos on the Russian escort advertising sites are usually, but not always real. There is a Russian language forum which you can use to a limited extent with Babelfish. Russians are not the best reviewers in the world. They are not familiar with the use of acronyms like bbbj or daty and they gabble endlessly on about what kind of soap is in the bathroom, instead of giving the weight of the review to the actual sex. A couple of interesting tidbits for the Moscow traveler:

Sheremetyevo... the world's most depressing airport is still setting records for passport control waiting times but FINALLY has a decent place to have a beer while waiting for your departure flight... there is a TGIF in the departure hall that even has CNN. Not exactly a pre-requisite for an acceptable airport pub, but since there is NOTHING else to do at Sher, even CNN is appealing! :) Food is average Moscow wannabe American cuisine, but nonetheless a giant cut above the rest of the atrocious offerings we have all come to know and love at the pseudo restaurants littering the airport. Only disadvantage of TGIF is that it is OUTSIDE of the check in area... so after you`ve checked your bags and gone through passport control you'll have to settle for the "classic" offerings of Sheremetyevo... which really only boils down to the Irish bar and its soggy microwave pizza and beer.

Taxi fare: If you are returning to the airport and decide to take a normal taxi, make sure you agree to a price beforehand. I usually pay between 700-900 rubles to get to the airport from central Moscow. Gypsy taxis will always agree to this price and official taxis will usually do so. On my most recent departure however I didn't follow my own advice and didn't haggle with the driver as he insisted on using the meter. I stupidly agreed, estimating it to be about 1000 rubles. It turned out to be 1800, which is about $60 and twice what I normally pay. So don't let them use the meter, insist on 900 rubles max and they will agree. If he doesn't take another. It is also possible to arrange for a taxi beforehand through the internet, this will cost between $25-40.

No Olgas!

A recent review of my carousing activities in Russia has determined that I have failed to fuck even a single Olga!

And in an even more disturbing trend, I have found that 17% of my conquests have been Elenas... it seems that Elenas have united to monopolize my flesh... they must be stopped!

I must encourage the Dashas, Natashas and Katyas (at 9% each) as well as the incomparable Zhenyas (who occupy a mere 7%)to spread their legs more willingly and quickly before I am stolen away by yet another loose-moraled and enticing Elena.

And not a single Olga in the list. Nor a Ksenia or a Ludmilla. Simply depressing.

In assembling the statistical data of my research, I was able to compile a list of Russian girl's names, with their short "cute" forms.

A number of other names occur and for these I don't know the short form, or know if one exists. Perhaps other WSG members can help...

Elena (Lena, Yelena, Alyona)
Natalia (Natasha)
Daria (Dasha)
Ekaterina (Katya)
Alexandra (Sasha, Alex)
Evgenia (Zhenya)
Valentina (Volosha)
Ulya (Julia)
Anastasia (Nastya, Ana, Anja)
Maria (Masha)
Irina (Ira)
Tatiana (Tania)
Victoria (Vika)
Svetlana (Sveta, Lana)
Snezhanna (Jana, Zhanna)
Inna
Zara
Arina
Nadia
Margarita
Olessia
Oksana
Ksenia
Alla
Ludmilla
Vera
Marina
Polina
Maya

Following questions occur:

Is Alyona another form of Elena? I have a book that says it is, but for me they are two different names.

Are Oksana and Ksenia the same name?

Do I have too much time on my hands?

Just for statistic reason my Natasha folder is the biggest with about 25%!

But only 1 guy Ruslan and only 1 guy Wladimir.

I have a friend who might argue with you about that!

Alyona, Aliona, Jelena, Elena, Jelen, Elen all same same, although some girls are given a name and they do not use other forms. For example a friend of mine, is called Elen, she dioes not use any other form. Another; Alyona will answer to all the above, depending to a degree upon who she is with and where. She wil choose NOT to use Alyona, Aliona (more spelling than pronounciation) when she is with non-Russians, the others in various forms are used with non-Russians.

Elena is NOT Alyona.

I asked a russian friend yesterday. :-)

Dusty Bin

Tell that to my friend who refers to herself as Elena and Jelena, but whose birth name is Alyona...

Stravinsky
05-27-04, 19:13
Just my 2 kopecks worth,

The most common diminutive of Oksana is Ksyousha, I've never heard Ksenia used that much.

Some Elena(s) call themselves by Alyona, just depends on the dyev.

Alexandra is Sasha, or Sashinka, or Sashoolya. I've never heard a Russian Alexandra call herself Alex. If she does, it's a dead giveaway she's spent too much time hanging around American mongers. ;-)

Interestingly, Sasha is the diminutive of both Alexandra and Alexander.

Tatiana can be Tania or Tanooshka

Svetlana is Sveta, or Svetoolya, or Svetohchik. Again, no Russian Svetlana would ever think to call herself Lana.

Russian diminutives can go on forever, limited only by your imagination. When Americans do Checkov, it's not unusual to create whole new characters because they can't keep the diminutives straight.

Its My Life, hard to say because the Cyrillic characters didn't translate properly. If there was some way to get maybe a screen shot of a Cyrillic web page uploaded then we could tell.

Quick question,

I've heard a rather odd blanket statement recently, to the tune of:

Most Russian women not only like anal sex, but prefer it.

Now I realize that is a terrible generalization, but in everyone's experience, does this hold more true than not?

Roger Mellie
06-06-04, 08:44
Shos : the Tatar names are good value cause only about 3 million people (1.5 mil females) are even candidates for them. Will have to compare your Almira with my Aina from earlier this year :-)

Enoch: I would not go to the degree of saying they prefer it, but I have never had a single russian freebie who would not let me do her arse.

Russian girls and anal:

Regular girls:
I haven't been as lucky with anal... many girls do seem to not prefer it. Nearly all have tried though, so don't be shy about trying to convince your girl. RM is particularly persuasive. It must be his cologne. :) They won't be insulted by the request though, so just give it a try.

Pros:
Tochka girls are most likely to do it. I am sure at least 90% (if not all) of them have taken it up the ass before, either during their "training" session or from a "demanding" customer. CF and NF will often demand extra cash for it, if they allow it at all. Sometimes you'll find a freak who just loves it... or even demands it... so happy hunting.

You can buy KY and similar at most large drugstores or at sex shops which are quite common in Moscow. Prices are high though, so I suggest bringing your own.

Roger Mellie
06-08-04, 18:16
I agree with the Doc ... they dont seem to prefer it, but Russian girls are not typically as assertive as western ones and once you have them in a compromising position, their attitude seems to be very flexible. As the Doc has also said in the past, they really love a man in control and a man who is a real man ... its almost as it they prefer a guy who is very firm with them, once they open up to you

washington, june 7 — one suspect was a convicted **** from
baltimore accused of molesting boys in two asian countries.
another was a doctor from georgia who the russian police said
drugged his young victims in a st. petersburg hotel. a third was
a retired army sergeant from seattle who may have molested up to
50 children.

the three men would once have almost certainly fallen outside
the grasp of united states prosecutors. but with the long arm of
american law growing ever longer, all three could face
significant prison sentences in the united states because of a
measure passed by congress last year that gives federal
officials much more power to prosecute people suspected of
molesting children on foreign soil. officials have already used
their expanded authority to prosecute five american men, four of
whom are awaiting trial. dozens more investigations are under
way from sri lanka to costa rica.

american officials are hoping their investigations will help
break what they believe are shadowy internet networks used by
****s to share photographs of children and travel tips
about countries with thriving child sex industries.

but so far, prosecutions under the new law have focused on
people who traveled on their own.

the initiative dovetails with two priorities for the bush
administration: adopting a more aggressive agenda abroad to
protect american interests at home and attacking what president
bush has called the "special evil" of **** and
exploitation. in the process, federal officials have forged an
alliance with humanitarian groups in exposing havens for
so-called sex tourists.

"we're no longer having to fight alone on this," said joseph
mettimano, child protection policy adviser for a christian-based
group called world vision. "we have a very active and very
engaged government power working with us now."

but that new power is also prompting debate in federal courts
and in public policy circles over how far the united states can
and should go to combat child exploitation abroad.

some critics of the initiative, including defense lawyers and
law professors, question why, at a time of pressing
counterterrorism needs at home, investigators from the
department of homeland security are using scarce resources to go
after molesters abroad. others accuse the bush administration
and congress of overreaching by seeking to create what amounts
to a global police presence. "what we're seeing is the
ever-expanding authority of the federal government in the
criminal justice arena," said mike filipovic, a public defender
in seattle who represents michael l. clark, the former sergeant
picked up in cambodia.

"stopping child abuse is a laudable goal, but it's really
somewhat patronizing to these other countries to say that we
feel that the only way to solve this problem is for us to do it
for you," mr. filipovic said. "the issue here is should our
government be able to prosecute our citizens for acts committed
anywhere in the world?"

some child-advocacy groups estimate that as many as 25 percent
of all sex tourists abroad come from the united states. although
the data is inexact, americans who have sex with children abroad
are thought to number in the thousands, with hard-core
****s, casual tourists and business people taking advantage
of lax enforcement, child advocacy groups and american officials
say.

indeed, some countries in southeast asia and latin america are
now seen as havens for molesters, turning a blind eye or even
tacitly welcoming such tourists to promote their economies,
experts say. against that backdrop, agents for the bureau of
immigration and customs enforcement, within the department of
homeland security, have mounted an aggressive effort with their
new power. investigations number in the dozens, officials said,
with targets in cambodia, the philippines, thailand, sri lanka,
india, russia, mexico, costa rica and elsewhere.

american agents are careful to open investigations only with the
cooperation of host countries, said michael j. garcia, who
oversees immigration and customs enforcement. in cambodia, for
instance, the police have in several cases charged americans
under local ordinances, then held them for extradition in close
coordination with american officials.

and in the washington suburbs, several analysts at the
immigration agency's cybercrimes unit now peruse the internet
and follow tips about sex tourism networks abroad.

the government's expanded legal authority to pursue molesters
abroad comes as part of a 2003 federal law known as the protect
act, a package of child-protection measures best known for the
creation of the amber alert for missing children. a more obscure
provision eliminated an obstacle for prosecutors seeking charges
against americans accused of molesting children abroad.

previously, prosecutors had to prove that a suspect left the
united states "for the purpose" of molesting a child, a standard
that authorities said made it almost impossible to bring
charges. the protect act eliminated that and imposed a 30-year
sentence for a conviction.

"the big change here," said charles a. ray, the american
ambassador to cambodia, "is that we can actually take aggressive
action against these people and see results."

mr. clark, who lived in cambodia for about five years before his
arrest and had returned occasionally to seattle, is the first to
challenge the new law. according to the criminal complaint
against mr. clark, he told investigators that he had molested
"approximately 40 to 50 children, stating that some of them may
have been 18 years old." he was charged with molesting two boys
and pleaded guilty to the charges in march. but he also argued
that the legal expansion was unconstitutional and an abuse of
congress' authority to regulate commerce.

on april 26 a federal judge in seattle upheld the
constitutionality of the law, saying congress had acted within
its power. mr. clark is to be sentenced june 25 but may still
appeal the ruling.

american officials acknowledge that privately, some countries
remain wary of working so closely with united states agencies.
but so far, american officials say, foreign nations have been
largely receptive.

cambodia, in particular, is considered "a paradise" for foreign
****s, said aarti kapoor, a lawyer with a cambodia-based
group that assists prostitutes and abuse victims. many residents
are young and impoverished, the country's judicial system is
prone to bribery and corruption and neighboring thailand- also a
favorite destination for sex tourists - has cracked down on the
sex trade, ms. kapoor said. "u.s. law enforcement represents the
only hope of finding justice," she said.

federal officials point to richard arthur schmidt as just the
kind of person that the new law was intended to snare.

mr. schmidt, 61, is a former schoolteacher from the baltimore
area who was repeatedly arrested in the mid-1980's for abusing
boys.

in 1987, mr. schmidt was sentenced to an 18-year prison term
after being convicted of multiple counts of sexually abusing a
12-year-old boy in baltimore, court records show. he served 13
years, spending part of that time enrolled in a sex-offender
program, officials said.

in 2000, he was released early for good behavior and settled in
an upscale neighborhood in north baltimore. but in 2003, state
investigators said that he had tried to take pornographic
photographs of two boys in the baltimore area, state officials
said. a warrant for his arrest was issued, but he fled, first to
north carolina and then to the philippines.

last year, the philippine police arrested mr. schmidt and
charged him with having sex with **** boys. he fled again,
this time to cambodia. and within weeks, he was again spotted
having liaisons with young boys.

this time, workers with private child welfare organizations
spotted mr. schmidt taking a cambodian boy to his apartment in
phnom penh. according to court papers, the workers called the
cambodian police, who arrested mr. schmidt. cambodian officials
notified american investigators, who interviewed mr. schmidt him
and began building a case for his indictment in the united
states.

two cambodian brothers, ages 10 and 13, told investigators that
mr. schmidt had taken them to his apartment several times,
teaching them english and computer games, then photographing
them naked in the shower. a cambodian judge released mr. schmidt
last dec. 25, but confirep001ed his passport and placed him on
police watch.

two days later, a social worker with a french group, action for
the children, saw mr. schmidt check into a guesthouse with a
12-year-old boy, officials said. the social worker, who had been
tailing mr. schmidt, called the police, who arrested mr. schmidt
again. the boy later told investigators that mr. schmidt had
sodomized him.

mr. schmidt was returned to baltimore in february to face
charges under the protect act and is in jail awaiting trial. his
lawyer could not be reached for comment.

one group, the international justice mission, has investigators
who build cases against suspected offenders, then turn the
evidence over to law enforcement officials. the group has also
been training cambodian police in collecting evidence that can
be used in american courts.

another group, world vision, serves as a clearinghouse for tips
on foreign sexual predators and has mounted a $2-million
advertising campaign, financed in part by the state department,
to warn americans against committing sexual offenses abroad. the
group plans campaigns in thailand and costa rica, and with
billboards near the airport in phnom penh and elsewhere in
cambodia.

"abuse a child in this country," reads one poster, "go to jail
in yours."

the article talks about prosecution of crimes committed in russia. this is certainly directed at ****s, but how much further will the long arm of us law go?

the report of the arrest of this guy is actually old news... it was first reported almost two months ago... what i find interesting is that all of these reports talk about the perverts that go after young boys! give me a break...

the real news of this article is the change in the law that originally said that you must travel to a location with the "intent" to prey on **** people... girls or boys. now, apparently, the "intent" stipulation no longer applies which is good information, but bad news...

unfortunately, in many parts of the world, it is very difficult to tell a 17 y.o. from a 19 or 20 y.o. unless you check id's it puts every monger at risk. of course, in some countries a 25 y.o. looks 16, but that is another story. in russia, it is very difficult to differeniate between those girls 16-17 and those 19-20...

of course, this is the ny times and personally i prefer to wait for other sources to validate the new law.

The slang expressions range from delicate to brutal... just like Russian sex. They'll even make a ho blush.

sammon... stop a car until you find one that will drive you out there. It is much cheaper to find a reasonably priced car from the Center to SVO than the other way. Depending on the time and traffic and where you are, you should be able to get one for 300 to 500 rubles. Of course, you will have to make yourself understood.

Also, remember that SVO has two terminals, one on each side of the airport and each serves totally different markets, or you could wind up at the wrong place and have to trek over to the other terminal.

This is a site that collects donations to help victims of terrorist attack. They can accept donations via PayPal and credit cards. Their last action was to collect funds for victims of Dubrovka theater terrorist attack in 2002 (they collected about 32000 USD). They always list both people who sent donations and who personally received the money.

Train travel between Moscow and St.Pete and vice-versa:

For those of you travelling to and from St.Pete you may want to consider taking the train.

The trip isn't particularly interesting nor is the train particularly comfortable, however there are a few advantages:

Cost:

Depending on your booking class and the train, you should pay between $30-50 one way. It is suggested to book first class so that you receive at least some form of comfort. This is cheaper than flying, however the real savings occurs in taxi costs, as when taking the train you arrive in the center of Moscow or St.Pete and you shouldn't pay more than 100-150 rubles to reach almost any location in either city. As we all know, taxi costs to and from the Moscow and St.Pete airports are considerably more expensive.... at least $30 one way from either airport. There are cheaper options like the route taxi, bus etc., but if you have more than one piece of small luggage these are impractical.

Time:

You more or less break even on time since the train takes between 4-5.5 hours depending on which one you take and you can show up just before it leaves, rather than an hour or two earlier as with the plane. Obviously you don't have to wait for luggage either, and the trains stations are centrally located, whereas the airports are 30-40 minutes out of town.

Night trains:

I haven't tried this, but there are night trains every night to and from St.Pete and Moscow that leave at about midnight and arrive around 8 in the other city. Saves a night's lodging, but is also a night of mongering less. You may get lucky on the train. But that is a big maybe. As far as I know, the trains don't slow for tochkas...

I'll most likely continue to fly since it is usually a business expense for me, but for private trips or something different, the train isn't bad. Ain't great. But ain't bad either.

Stravinsky

Doc,

I second your recommendation of the train between SPB and Mockba, for all of the reasons that you mentioned.

I'm not sure it's true that you would be losing mongering time on the night train. I travelled on the "skora po-ezd" once, between SPB and Mockba. The night train doesn't leave until after midnight, and as you said, you can arrive at the vokzal right at departure, which leaves you most of the evening in SPB.

As for getting lucky on the train, why not bring a dyev with you? The dyev that I was with in SPB decided that she wanted to travel to Mockba with me. Unfortunately, at that time, international tourists were still strictly controlled by Intourist, and I believe that "narodni" passengers were not even allowed in 1st class, so she had to travel in steerage. Just as an interesting note, my 1st class fare was $100 USD, hers was $2.00.

Today, I imagine those restrictions have been lifted. The 1st class sleeper cars are designed for 2 people with 2 double beds in each compartment. A couple bottles of champagne, a tin of ikra, some bootyerbroti, a handful of condoms and you should arrive bright and early in Mockba, ready for a good night's sleep. ;-)

Anything is possible in Russian trains if you are willing to bribe the conductor. I was going from Moscow to Peter. I asked a devushka I met in Karma Bar to enjoy the charms of Peter together and she gladly accepted my offer. But we couldn't get a ticket for her as they were all sold out. I called a Russian friend of mine to see if there is anything we can do. Following his recommendation we talked to the conductor and he somehow managed to find a private compartment for the two of us. He only asked for 900 rubles for her ticket :) Good deal. As you can guess we didn't sleep much during that trip :)

Assuming that you are not purple... green... or perhaps... blue... you'll have no problems in the center of Moscow. Of course, it is a big city and things happen occasionally to every race.

At the same time, I must say that I've heard of many more problems with skinheads and racism in Spb than in Moscow. Of course, as in any country, racists do exist. If you stay in the major clubs for mongering you will have no problems. CF is loaded with many people of different races and cultures from all over the world. I've never seen anything that was close to a racial incident there. I've also seen many men in NF from all over the world with no problems. There are many clubs that cater to Latin music and many girls go just to meet men of color.

I took a client, who happened to be African-American, to a RU club several nights in a row. Most nights he was the only one of his race in the club. On several occasions, the girls were practically fighting over him, offering themselves and their friends either with his girl friend or without.

Other than this, the only insight that I can provide is that many of my clients are of all races and I've never heard of a problem. Of course, one problem trumps a thousand good experiences...

Here's an interesting article...

Sunday September 19, 2004
The Observer

I remember the first time I had sex - I still have the receipt. The girl was alive, as far as I could
tell, she was warm and she was better than nothing. She cost me £20.

I was 16 then and I'm 41 now. I have spent 25 years throwing my money and heart at tarts.
I have slept with every nationality in every position in every country. From high-class call
girls at £1,000 a pop to the meat-rack girls of Soho at £15, I have probably slept with
more than 1,000 prostitutes, at a cost of £100,000.

I am a connoisseur of prostitution: I can take its bouquet, taste it, roll it around my
mouth, give you the vintage. I have used brothels, saunas, private homes from the internet and ordered
girls to my flat prompt as pizza. While we are on the subject, I have also run a brothel. And I
have been a male escort. I wish I was more ashamed. But I'm not. I love prostitutes and everything
about them. And I care about them so much I don't want them to be made legal.

In English brothels you shuffle into a seedy room so dim you can only meet the girl by Braille. But in New York last year I sat on a four-poster bed while 10 girls paraded in front of me one by one, like bowls of sushi on a carousel. 'Hi,' they would say, 'I'm Tiffany', 'I'm Harmony','I'm Michelle', and I would rise and kiss them. It was so touching, so sweet, so kind. There should always, no matter what, be politeness. It is the way the outside world should work, selfishly but honestly.

The great thing about sex with *****s is the excitement and variety. If you say you're enjoying sex with the same person after a couple of years you're either a liar or on something. Of all the sexual perversions, monogamy is the most unnatural. Most of our affairs run the usual course. Fever. Boredom. Trapped. This explains much of the friction in our lives - love being the delusion that one woman differs from another. But with brothels there is always the exhilaration of not knowing what you're going to get.

The problem with normal sex is that it leads to kissing and pretty soon you've got to talk to them. Once you know someone well the last thing you want to do is screw them. I like to give, never to receive; to have the power of the host, not the obligation of the guest. I can stop writing this and within two minutes I can be chained, in the arms of a *****. I know I am going to score and I know they don't really want me. And within 10 minutes I am back
writing. What I hate are meaningless and heartless one-night stands where you tell all sorts of lies to get into bed with a woman you don't care for.

The worst things in life are free. Value seems to need a price tag. How can we respect a woman who doesn't value herself? When I was young I used to think it wasn't who you wanted to have sex with that was important, but who you were comfortable with socially and spiritually. Now I know that's rubbish. It's who you want to have sex with that's important. In the past I have deceived the women I have been with. You lie to two people in your life; your partner and the police. Everyone else gets the truth.

Part of me used to enjoy the deception. There was something about the poverty of desire with one's girlfriend. Sex without betrayal I found meaningless. Without cruelty there was no banquet. Having a secret life is exhilarating. I also have problems with unpaid-for sex. I am repulsed by the animality of the body, by its dirt and decay. The horror for me is the fact that the sublime, the beautiful and the divine are inextricable from basic animal functions. For some reason money mitigates this. Because it is anonymous.

What I hate with women generally is the intimacy, the invasion of my innermost space, the
slow strangulation of my art. The writer chained for life to the routine of a wage slave and the ritual of copulation. When I love somebody, I feel sort of trapped. Three years ago I was saved. I found a girl whom I could fall in love with ... and sleep with prostitutes with. She sends me to brothels to sleep with women for her. I buy her girls for her birthday and we go to *****houses together. I am free forever from the damp, dark prison of eternal love.

A prostitute exists outside the establishment. She is either rejected by it or in opposition to it, or both. It takes courage to cross this line. She deserves our respect, not our punishment. And certainly not our pity or prayers.

Of course, the general feeling in this country is that the man is somehow exploiting the woman, but I don't believe this. In fact, the prostitute and the client, like the addict and the dealer, is the most successfully exploitative relationship of all. And the most pure. It is free of ulterior motives. There is no squalid power game. The man is not taking and the woman is not giving. The ***** fuck is the purest fuck of all.

Why does a sleazy bastard like me like *****s so much? Why pay for it? The problem is that the modern woman is a prostitute who doesn't deliver the goods. Teasers are never pleasers; they greedily accept presents to seal a contract and then break it. At least the ***** pays the flesh that's haggled for. The big difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs a lot less.

But it is more than this. What I want is the sensation of sex without the boredom of its conveyance. Brothels make possible contacts of astounding physical intimacy without the intervention of personality. I love the artificial paradise; the anonymity; using money, the most impersonal instrument of intimacy to buy the most personal act of
intimacy. Lust over love, sensation over security, and to fall into a woman's arms without falling into her hands.

Having an instinctive sympathy for those condemned by conventional society, I wanted to cross the line myself. To pay for sex is to strip away the veneer of artifice and civilisation and connect with the true animal nature of man. Some men proudly proclaim that they have never paid for it. Are they saying that money is more sacred than sex?

But one of the main reasons I enjoy prostitutes is because I enjoy breaking the law - another reason I don't want brothels made legal. There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it desirable. When I have dinner every evening in Soho I always think: isn't scampi delicious - what a pity it isn't illegal. I'm sure I am not alone in this. Even Adam himself did not want the apple for the apple's sake; he wanted it only because it was forbidden.

As for the girls, the argument is that making it legal will somehow make it safer, but Soho has one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Anyway, crime and risk are part of the texture of life. Indeed, Freud tells us: 'Life loses interest when the highest stake in the game of living, life itself, may not be risked.' Risk is what separates the good part of life from the tedium.

I decided to ask my Claudia, my favourite prostitute. I first spotted her in the street in Knightsbridge 10 years ago and was so taken by her haunted beauty that I decided to follow her. There was an air of great quality about Claudia. The faces of English girls look as if there is not enough materials to go round. They have thin lips and papery eyelids, box jawbones, prominent Adam's apples and withered hearts. Claudia looks Mediterranean - her lips are full and curly, her nostrils flared, her eyes black and as big as saucers.

She walked and I stalked all the way to Soho and down Brewer Street. No. No way. She couldn't be! She turned, and walked into a brothel. I couldn't believe it. I could fuck Raquel Welch for £25.

When I ask if she wants prostitution legalised, she reacts violently: 'No way! I tried to take a regular job a few months ago. After tax and national insurance I was left with practically nothing. So I came back here. On a good day here I can take £500. I don't have a pimp, so after paying the overheads and the maid I've got more than enough.' There you are. Income tax has made moreliars out of the British people than prostitution.

I know a little bit about the business side. Some years ago I became a madam and a male escort. I turned one of the rooms in my flat in Shepherd Market into a knocking shop and joined an escort agency. I went into prostitution looking for love, not money. That said, I always took cash. The women wanted company, someone willing to please at the midnight hour, and straight sex. It was nerve-wracking wondering if I was going to be able to get it up or get on, but at least I had a valid reason for liking my lovers - they paid me. I didn't care if someone called me a ***** and a pimp.

So you see, I have always been a prostitute by sympathy. As for the rest of society, prostitution is the mirror of man, and man has never been in danger of becoming bogged down in beauty. So why don't we leave it alone? Or learn to love it, like me? Sex is one of the most wholesome, spiritual and natural things money can buy. And like all games, it becomes more interesting when played for money. And even more so when it is illegal.

Hookers and drunks instinctively understand that common sense is the enemy of romance. Will the bureaucrats and politicians please leave us some unreality. I know what you are thinking. That it's all very well for people like me to idealise *****s and thieves; to think that the street is somehow noble and picturesque; I have never had to live there. But so what? One day I will. Until such time, I have to pay for it. How else would someone young, rich and handsome get sex in this city? Yes, yes, I know. Prostitution is obscene, debasing and disgraceful. The point is, so am I.

Great article, some interesting thoughts. I think the guy is too callous, I still believe in the integrity of the female... find that woman in her and manipulate it in that male way she adores, she'll love you for it.

Am conducting a research project with a very cute pro in St.Pete, exploring her life as a pro. The shit I do for you all. This kid's sufferin.

Anyway, here's her words so far... maybe you'll find it interesting.

"Why are you guys like that? You make promises and then you find good reasons not to do. I mean your arts. But the picture is good indeed. You are talented. The only thing I do not understand why you send me the picture of another women. You have made a lot of pics of me and sent only one of them. I am not very fond of the company of other women."

"Well, I do not know what you want to hear from me about my work... I started only this year in June and spent most of the time in Tribunal that you did not like. I had an Italian boyfriend who paid everything for me not to do any kind of work at all. I just wrote my books at home. Then we split, and I had to solve the money matter myself. So that was my way to the Tribunal. One day I felt myself terribly tired of everybody there, had a kind of depression and stayed at home. I have not visited it for a month already. When I live the night life every day I get tired of it very quickly. Now I try to find out what I want to do and to have in my life. In fact I want to get married again, and I get the proposals regularly. But I do not do the final step because of my fear..."

"may seem very funny outside, but inside I am too complicated even to myself. And right now I do not know exactly what and who I want to have in my life. That embarasses me much because I am used to be a kind of person who always knew what she wanted. Changing a lot of faces in front of me tires. I continue refusing proposals because of the fear to be mistaken again as my previous marriage was just terrible. I am not even sure anymore if I want to have a guy by my side after yesterday's date with an American. I feel total shit.

Well, I do not know other places for the girls to work you have mentioned. My first book describes in details the hooker's life here, in Russia. In my third one I am telling about it in other countries. And it is written well about it in the book Callgirl by Jeannette Angell though this book seemed to me a little bit boring due to the sophisticated style (the author is a professor at the college and worked a callgirl in Boston, US). It also opens the inside feelings of the working girls you have no chance to know being a customer."

Peace out brothers... I am on the case. I love these girls.

Can someone explain to me how http://omen.ru/LOVE.HTM works please.

Put it through a translation program that seems to suggest that if you wish to contact one of the women, you have to fill out a form. Do you also have to be a member?

Quite a few of the pictures are obviously fakes but some of the obvious genuine women look quite good.

Diet Cola,
http://omen.ru/love/poiski.htm website works ok with http://babelfish.altavista.com if you do your search in Russian first. You have to cut and paste that huge, long link from your address bar AFTER you have chosen the city, age and extras (anal, toys, lesbo-show, etc.) in RUSSIAN and hit "search". Also, they now subdivide Moscow by subway stations so you either have to get the whole country or spend time checking each station one by one.
The Moscow and SPG stilll seem to have the best representation by far on the site.

For some times, I have been thinking about how to post some Russian words in Cyrillic, which can be useful to learn some Russian “survival phrases” or to recognise some places once you're in Russia/Belarus/Ukraine (restaurants, clubs, saunas, streets, etc...) because, on site, the big sign with their name is written in Cyrillic. Last, but not least, being able to post in Cyrillic can be a big help to assist other members browsing Russian web sites.

I’ve done a test using Unicode in the test forum of WSG and checked on several computers. The Cyrillic characters show up correctly on most, except one (a Mac with OS 9.2 and Internet Explorer 5.1). I then asked some WSG members to check if they can see these Cyrillic characters correctly too. 7 out of 8 do (the one who doesn’t is also a Mac). Not too bad so now, I’m posting my test again here, to check if majority of WSG members can also see them correctly too.

In principle, with Unicode, those using Window XP and Internet Explorer 6.0 should not have a problem. Mac users, on the other hand, may need to install the “Apple Language Kit”. For more info, see this “Test for Unicode support in Web browsers (http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/cyrillic.html)” page.

TEST : RUSSIAN FOR DUMMIES ;)

Привет(Priviet): Hello

Как у вас дела? (Kak u vas dela?): How are you?

Вы очень красивы (Vy ochen krasivy): You're very beautiful

May I ask for some feedback by PM only (as not to clutter this forum). If my mailbox gets full (it often does), just PM me again later. I’ll check and clear it each day. I’m more interested in those who can’t see the Cyrillic characters properly. Please let me know what is your operating system (Mac OSxx, Windows xx, etc…) and your browser (IE, Netscape, etc…).

If only a very few people cannot see the Cyrillic characters, it may be worth posting some Russian words in Cyrillic. This gonna be fun. :D

Thanks
Jim

PS: If this works reasonably well and there is an interest for it, I will explain here how to insert these Cyrillic characters in your posts by using Unicode. In the meantime, if some of you wanna try, please do it in the WSG Test Messages forum (here (http://www.wsgforum.com/vforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=370)), not in this forum and turn it into a mess, and Jackson may ban me!!!! :(

gj... good exercise. It is frustrating to post or read one filled with gyberish. AND you are very correct that if you can't spell out a name in Cyrillic you may very well not be able to find some places in Russia and other EE countries because the name is normally NOT posted in English. The one big breakthrough in recent years is that the street names are "usually" posted in both Cyrillic and English, but not on the builiding on the street corner as is normal, but on the signs around the street corner.

This has saved my ass from a bribe a few times...

As we know, you have 3 working days to get your visa registered in Russia. No problem for those staying in hotels, but if you're are staying in an apartment, the difficulty in having your visa registered is a headache we all know about.

If the militia stops you within those three days, make sure you have your departure card with you, as this shows when you arrived in Russia. This may not be enough however, also make sure you have your boarding pass stub or ticket stub from your flight with you... showing when you arrived in MOSCOW... this seems to satisfy the militia. I got stopped yesterday walking to Dirty Dancing near Belorussky Voksal and the militia were satisfied with the boarding pass stub.. third time that the stub has saved me from further interrogation.

The reason behind this is as apparently follows: The arrival card/departure card you receive in the airplane before arrival has a numbered code on it. Mine for example (three times in a row actually) was numbered starting with a 78, which is the code for St.Petersburg. So the militia, satisfied with my arrival date stamped on my arrival/departure card, were not satisfied with the fact that my arrival/departure card was apparently from St.Pete and wanted to know when I arrived in Moscow. All this is pure technicality, but you know that they are only looking for a technicality to snag you on. So having the boarding pass stub showing which flight you arrived on, from where and when will kind of take the wind out of their sails... at least it worked for me.

Had I not had the stub, they would have started the "we have to go to the station to work this out" routine that costs 200-200 rubles.... or more.

BTW: DD is one of the dumpiest clubs I have been to in Moscow.

Hello again, Moscow friends, and happy (impending) new year to all.

Today I was cleaning up my book cases a little, and came across a lillte book I had bought a while back. I got a big laugh out of it, and thought it would be appropriate to share it with you. Unfortunately, the search function is still not working properly, so, my apologies if this has been covered before.

The book is called: "Dermo! The Real Russian Tolstoy Never Used", by Edward Topol. ISBN 0-452-27745-0. Here's (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0452277450/qid=1104517279/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/104-4869097-2334306) a link to it on Amazon. It basically is a collection of very nasty, vulgar Russian idioms you may one day come across in your mongering career in the world of Tochkas, etc. Note, however, this does not constitue an endorsement of profanity by Sexplorer :o, but it is not unreasonable to expect one may one day come across some of these expressions and it is good to be able to understand them.

In case you are interested, there is also a Spanish version of the same book called "Mierda", which I have posted about in the "Argentina, Spanish Phrases" section. We badly need such a segment in the Russia board as well, BTW.

On a different note, I am looking forward to another short trip to Moscow at the end of January, and would appreciate hearing by PM from other mongers in town.

It was recommended by me about 2 years back, but thanks for bringing it up again!

It really is fun.. and my gfs confirm that it is real Russian "mat" or street slang... even though some of it is very obscure and extremely filthy, the girls always get a huge laugh out of it. Also a good icebreaker with otherwise chilly pros.

Wouldn't go around using the insults often though, some of them are quite extreme! Also very sensitive "good" girls might be shocked by it... but those kind of girls are a waste of time anyway! :)

I have never been to Russia, but I have followed the board and seen a fair number of photos of (I presume the best available) girls from the street and several of the bars and discos. I have also reviewed the offerings from several of the internet sites in which I found a lot of very attractive girls that give a complete list of their services and the prices fo 1hr, 2hr or all night. The prices seem to be very reasonable considering the prices quoted for lineup girls and others.

Is their a problem with the internet offerings? Any comparisons or info?

I want to visit Russia, but I don't speak the language. Where would this pose a problem.

On some of the p2p sites, a lot of the phone numbers start with an 8 (ex: 8(3412). I thought that this was the code for Aruba. Is this some sort of phone scam or am I ignorant about how the number system works?

Rain,

You're right, 7 is the country code for Russia. The prefix 8 is an internal code for dialing numbers from within Russia. The internet girls assume that you are a local guy so they give you the local prefix, which is 8. If you wanted to call a girl from outside Russia, you would substitute 7.

What you do is to find a hotel (look on the web - search "moscow hotels") where you want to stay. THEY usually have connections with a "letter of invitation" services who will provide you with the letter (based on the dates you requested). They are usually a "link" on the web page. Alfa and Gamma-Delta have services available for sure - that's where I stayed last time

Depending, IF you want to "move around a little" (as in tour the country) - for which you SHOULD speak minimal Russian - you can get up to 30 days of "entry". And in deference to the comment (Enrico's) about "reading Cryllic" - YES, learn at least some. Russian is far easier than a tonal language and at least most of the alphabet is the same as the latinate alphabet.

Once you get the letter, ($35 to 50 depending on agency) book the flight and then go after the visa - go to a consulate (if you have easy access, paperwork available over the web - 3 passport pix needed) - visa cost is $70 for 3 week advance, $80 10 days; raising scale up to I sort of remember $200 for same day service - pretty much walk-up

(I'm only going on memory for the costs and that was 2 years ago - I read this forum but travel mostly to south-east Asia now - no visa necessary to Thailand) The rest, you can read from the forum.

Business visas are usually multi entry and cost extra

More fun with phone numbers:

Both of these numbers are from the sexbombzzz site, and i think both are for SPb.

8-906-276-95-54

(911)208-31-97

Huh????

Why such divergent formats? The only thing that is in common is that both end with xxx-xx-xx (7 digits). But the prefixes are wierd.
8-906 - I assume this one is something like 8 being the regional code for SPb? Correct? But what is the 906?

Then there is the second number's prefix (911) ? What's up with that? Is that a Moscow number?

If I am inside of SPb what do I dial for both of these?

Doctor_Skank
06-30-05, 06:00
Rovnak,

Those are mobile numbers.

Anything beginning with 8-9xx is a mobile number.

If dialing locally (within Russia), you dial 8-9xx-xxx-xxxx. If dialing from a western mobile or from outside Russia, dial +7-9xx-xxx xxxx.

You can actually enter the numbers into a Russian phone using the international Russia prefix +7 9xxx etc. and it will work as well. I find this more convenient.

Be careful calling mobile numbers from outside Russia or with your Western mobile. You can spend $$$ very quickly. Get a Russian SIM card and phone number and use that for all your local calls. It'll pay off.

8 isnt a regional code, just a prefix.

Area code for St.Pete is 812 and for Moscow 095. Usually these area codes will mean the number is a land line, but not always. Some mobiles also use the original city area codes.

CA Traveler
06-30-05, 06:55
doc is correct, but to answer Rovnak's one last question... the 911 is the identifier for the mobile service the person has.

There are three main mobile providers in Russia, MTS/beeline/megafon. Each is assigned groups of numbers beginning with "9"... Each area has different 9XX numbers assigned to it. I've never seen the 911 so it must be in Spb or some other area outside of Moscow.

Doc's advice is very good, after your visa is registered, or get a RU friend to get a local SIM card for you. It costs less than a dollar and it will save a ton of money.

Also, I have been told that as of July 1st, it will cost to dial a mobile phone from a land line. So, it will really pay to have a SIM card. In any case if you have a number that is a land line or a "7 digit" mobile number, you can dial it from a land line without an extra charge.

Moscow Wolf
06-30-05, 18:40
Some mobile phone operators charge their subscribers even when they get called, not only when they originate a call. This is unheard of in other European countries AFAIK.

That's why some chicks prefer to get called on their landline. That's also why sometimes they tell you that they can't talk to you too long because they "haven't loaded up the phone".

thanks for clarification.

In other words for the two numbers I sited, both are mobile, and both require the 8 prefix, but one provider put the 8 in there and the other omitted it, thus the confusion.

So for the one listed as (911)208-31-97. You really need to dial 8-911-208-31-97.

Another question. ATMs. I just read in a tour book that some/all ATMs have a withdrawal limit of only 1000 R.

That seems absurdly low. What is the general experience?

CA Traveler

Most big ATM bank services offer the option of receiving Euros or USD.

Member #4732
07-02-05, 05:32
yeah, I thought 1000 was absurd, but that is what the Lonely Planet SPb guide says. I just double checked. Hope the rest of their info is more accurate.

Anyway, your comment about currency choice raises the next question. What is the best currency from a monger bargaining perspective? I normally would just get the Rubles in order to have a single currency on hand for all activities. This of course assumes that negotiating with girls in clubs like Magrib can be conducted in terms of Rubles, which according to my oand cheatsheet is 3000 Rublels to 100 US.

So, if the negotiating target for an all nighter with a hot girl in SPb is 150 US, does it make just as much sense to target 4500 R? i.e. she says 6000 and I counter with "Nyet, nyet, 4500".

Basically, which currency (R / $ or E) and negotiating strategy works to a monger advantage or is it a wash as long as one is converting properly.

CA Traveler
07-02-05, 06:49
In Moscow, most people will work with USD and/or rubles. Tochkas have been quoting in rubles, but most girls will quote in USD at clubs.

However, I've been told that in Spb almost everything is quoted in Euros... So a more reasonable negotiating strategy would be... If quoted in Euros, offer dollars. This represents a 20% discount, "skidka" pa Russki.

I understand your plan to carry one currency, but I for one, will carry rubles, big bils in one pocket and smaller bills in the other pocket so that if I happen to misread the denomination I will cut my losses unless I'm too drunk to know which hand is which. :)

Put you USD/Euros someplace that you will only reach for them if you know exactly what you are doing... Even then don't carry more than you may need. Since I will NEVER pay upfront, you are pretty safe leaving most of your money locked up in your room. (Tochkas are the exception to this rule and you must pay in advance)

Spb is a much more dangerous city for tourists than Moscow so you must realize that anytime you go out you may lose everything that you are carrying with you.

CAT,

RE currency and negotiating. You are the experts, I am newbie, so I am not inferring anything. I am just bringing some data to the table so you can interpret it for me.

For example, here is an example from the high end (ridiculously high end according to this board I believe).

There are two web sites that list similar girls in SPb. One qoutes prices in Rubles and the other in Euro.

In general, for the same girl, the price quoted in Rubles is significantly lower than the Euro. I leave it to you guys to tell me if this is just an artifact of currency fluctuations and whether the girl will insist on the higher of the two quotes. Or will she ask "where did you see my ad" and base her quote on that?

For example Karina:
on rusdosug
http://www.rusdosug.com/details.php?id=19213&style=0
Here the Rubles quotes are 5600 р. 8400 р. 16800 р.

while on bestladies:
http://www.bestladies.ru/forms/shablon2.php?id=133#
The Euro quotes are 1 час - 200 € 2 часа - 300 € ночь - 600 €

That is almost a 20% difference in quotes:
5,600 Russian Rouble = 163.679 Euro

ok, i have to vent. those of you who speak russian will shake your heads and think "he doesn't know what he is getting into!"

i'm in my second day of crash imersion in pimsleur russian i. i'm up to lesson 7, trying to do several lessons a day instead of just one, since i am off work and have time.

the problem is without knowing cyrillic, i can't cross reference the pimsleur audio with something written to validate whether i am hearing the word(s) properly. i used pimsleur very effectively to get up to speed on portuguese but then i already knew basic spanish. but even then i had to cross reference to a dictionary.

anyway, its not so bad except for one very very frustrating word sequence that they keep repeating and for the life of me it just sounds like mumble mumble mumble. its supposed to be "would you like" as in "where would you like to eat?" or "what would you like to eat" or "what would you like to drink?" or "i would like to eat" etc. over and over and i still cannot parse this phrase well.
sometimes part of it sounds like "katz il y ba". boy do i have a long way to go before i'll even be able to order dinner.

R... it is very important to learn the RU alphabet. Many words that you see on signs will be English words written in Cyrillic. So all you have to do in that case is spell them out and you will know what it says... Even on the menu, dessert, pizza, etc. are just written in Cyrillic.

As far as your girl goes, it is obvious that she priced herself in Euros and then as she was doing her other website, she priced herself in USD converted to rubles. It wasn't too long ago that the ruble was 28:1.

In any case, you come back to the same point that I tried to make earlier. Offer USD when you can... or if that doesn't work, RUR will be better for you than Euros. With the recent fall of the Euro they may be more than willing to take USD or RUR.

Rovnak,

You seem a nice guy, let's relax !

Maybe the ads were posted at different times one in rouble, one in euros.

Which is a certainty is that they do not reevaluate their quotes daily to follow the fluctuations of the rouble against the euro or the dollar!

Try to get a discount ! Anyway I never pay such prices!

Good hunt

Slavicgourmet,

I am not nervous, I am just doing my usual research. When i went to Brazil I did just as much research and it paid off very well. Unfortunately, this board is not as active as the Brazil boards so there is less existing information and therefore I am asking questions which may seem absurd to people who are experienced with Russia. These boards are for exchanging information. Before I went to Brazil I asked a lot of questions. Then when I was there I wrote a lot of reports giving back information. Now my reports are used as a reference on that board.

To your point, "try and get a discount". I can't get a discount without knowing what the standards are in the first place. That was the whole thrust of my line of questions. Trying to establish the norm so that I could negotiate intelligently.

CAT,

yeah, i bought a pretty good little book called "Beginners Russian Script" by Daphne West. It is a good intro to cyrillic.

IL... Nice thought.... however, in reality it just doesn't work. It can be a nice toy to play with when you are in your room/apt and building a little rapport before you proceed to drill your bride for the evening, but it becomes stupid to whip out this little thing and start punching letters while the girl looks at you like a fool!

Trust me... I bought the most advanced, dual direction... super disgronifier... max torque... duracell batteries... It still sits in my drawer because it is fun to play with but there is no way you, rather... An excellent resource for current club, concert, event and restaurant information, provided you can read and understand basic Russian, is the following site:

Just got back from Petersburg. Guta Bank ATM's will allow withdrawals of up to 14,000RR or $400 at one time. Check with your bank to see what thier limit is on your card and you should be able to maximize withdrawal without incurring high fees. The ATM at the Nevskii Palace that I mentioned before is Guta Bank.

I can not figure out how to start a new thread. But to all mongers reading this its important. Russia is Beautifull and the women are breath taking. But please dont go there if you can not afford to go. (pinching pennies) I dont mean spending $300.00@hour on a ***** either. It can be expensive just to stay there for 2 weeks. Prices have gone up a lot in the last 4 years. This is my 8th time going there next week. Yes its better and cheaper and less hassels to rent a flat thats for sure. But reading these threads you can live there and rent a flat and get your brains fuck out all for $1500.00 @month. Well I guess it can be done if you speak Russian, but why count pennies. Its that simple save your money and then go, Yes I like torchkas too. But at least 1 time a week I rent a 10+ from the agency. $500.00 @night. Thats my treat. These women are a bargain to begin with. You can not get that quality in the States or Canada for those prices thats for sure. You can get beautifull women in North America but you must be a millionaire to pay there nightly rates. I always rent a guide $125.00 a day meals included plus his hotel he takes me to places all over Russia some places are $10.00 @hour for women. They would charge $100.00 a hour in Moscow/Saint pete. The real treasures are the oblast regions , the hot ones eventually head to Moscow but its nice to get them where they live before they go to the city. Tver Komostra Vladistock Vologda Volograd jerk off places no body goes to it can be dangerous yes but I have a guide. Money does not buy love but it buys a lot of happiness. So if you want to experience Russia save a few extra bucks and have a better time. there was a jerk call Kremlin King arrogant bastard but he always had the mot beutifullist women you got to give him credit for that. No Torchkas for him. I seen his photo, lucky arrogant prick that he is, He is very handsome man and stinking rich so I guess this also helps. We all can not be like Kremlin King, I wish I was except drop the attitude he has.

Guys,
what is the age of consent in Russia?

I have to write up some reviews of SPb but for now I'll say that the P4P is tough for a short term visitor, probably quite good for a resident.

But the opportunities for girl friends seem quite good. I was able to get several phone numbers cold on the street and metro. One of the numbers is for an incredibly hot little student. However, she is very young. I think she is just entering university. I want to stay on the legal side of the age of consent.

What is the magic behind the EE girls(RUssian, Ukranian and others). Why do we always feel comfortable or special with them. Why do we mostly feel GFE experiences with the EE girls?

I am not fall in love with one but I kept thinking about her, I know her patron very closely and I am a close friend of her(patron). Time to time we just come together to chat and drink.

I enjoyed taking her nice and popular places and feel very special with her. I am aware that she had sex with another man a day before and next day. Even though I felt weird. Hard to explain.

Is this part of the business. I have been mongering almost 9 years in 3 different contienents mostly in US, RUssia and Turkey, but I have never felt like this before. I had sex with girls and women who are more beuatiful than her. But I kept thinking about her.

4 of my buddies and I had two days long weekend house party. 4 guys 5 girls. I also argued with my buddies not to share her with others.

I am stucked.

Okay guys, I just received some big news, and I could to really use some perspective on it, possibly from people who have been there before.

For most of the summer, I have been dating a very cute college student from Russia. She is in the United States on a summer work visa. She is a language student from a university in Russia. We have had a great summer, she is a lot of fun, and the sex has been incredible.

Well, summer is over, and now it's time for her to go back to school, but, as you may have guessed by now, she doesn't want to. She told me just today of her intent to stay in this country for at least a year. She knows that getting a visa will be a big problem, and it sounds to me like in her mind she is prepared to stay illegally if necessary. Where I live in the United States, there is annually a large contingent of foreign students that come from Russia and other countries in that part of the world. From what I understand, it is rather common for a small percentage of them to stay in this country after their work visas end. (And with US immigration policy being what it is these days –i.e. Mexico- from a legal aspect, it doesn't seem to be a big problem for them.)

What I’m mainly concerned about is the legal aspect for me, and the personal aspect for her. We have not exchanged “I love you’s”, but I'm pretty sure that's how she feels. I'm afraid I can't say the same about her, although I do care for her deeply. When I asked her why she came to this decision, she told me that I was a part of the reason. But more significantly, she said, she really just doesn't want to go back to her country. She has talked with friends through e-mail, who have already returned, and they tell her of the despair they feel upon returning to Russia, how they miss the United States and the lives they had there. One theme she consistently hits upon is the lack of freedom for her and her female friends in Russia. She tells me that in America, she can do whatever she wants, go to the clubs, spend the night with her boyfriend without society or her parents, giving her shit about it. I know this is a somewhat simplistic outlook, I'm just trying to explain where her mind is. From where she sits, right now, her life in the United States is better than it ever was in Russia, probably with or without me.

At this time she is working at a restaurant at the oceanfront and seems reasonably content with the work and the people she works with. Some of her Russian friends have tried to talk her out of this idea by asking her what will she do in America for work. To work in a restaurant or be a housekeeper forever? She is aware of this quandary, but in her youthful outlook (she’s 20) she chooses to see only the great potential for life in the United States. Her English is okay, but it's not great by any means, and I doubt that she could pass the language exam for university here.

When we first met back in June, I thought what a great situation this was: a relationship with a predetermined end-date! Three months of sexual bliss, a tearful farewell kiss at the airport, and then back to my normal life. Certainly, I was not expecting this. As a seasonal romance, it could not have been better. Three months is about my limit for relationships anyway. She is a great girl, but not in a marriage sense, and certainly not at this point in my life (I’m 29). So for her to tell me that she wants to stay now is totally fucking things up. She hasn't told her parents yet, and the flight she was scheduled to take is still three weeks away. Of course, I feel bad because she is dropping out of school to stay in the United States. Would she have made the same decision if I were not in the picture? Hard to say.

So now for the questions: What to do? Should I break-up with her now in the hopes that her sorrow will drive her home into the arms of her friends and family? Should I count my blessings and enjoy this lovely girl and delicious piece of ass to keep me warm this winter? Should I be concerned about being in a sexual relationship with a potential illegal alien? On this note, I should tell you that we are not, nor do we have any plans, to live together. Along those lines, what rights do non-citizens have concerning paternity and other domestic issues? I'm extremely careful during sex, rubbers every time, but God forbid, if she should become pregnant, would the paternity burden be placed on me by the state, just like with a citizen? (I really don't get the feeling that she is deceitful and would try to get pregnant intentionally, but then again, true deceit is by its very definition difficult to determine. Nonetheless, my babybatter goes down the toilet every time.)

Above all, I don't want to be caught in any legal trap, nor do I want to be the cause of this sweet girl ruining her life.

Anybody been here before?

(Didn't there used to be a Russian Women-Opinion thread? I looked for it but could not find it. If you guys think this post is off topic here let me know and I'll move it)

Perhaps not very easy for you, but try to explain that she will not be a permanent part of your life. Then she can do an unbiased decision. However, I understand that it is very simple to give such an advice not being involved in the situation.

LS... Here's the deal... If she honors her visa and returns to Russia, she will probably be granted another visa to come to the USA, student/tourist/fiance... BUT if stays in the USA illegally, she will never be granted a USA visa, of any type, again and she will never be able to leave the USA for any reason... at least, and still be able to return!

This is very common when RU girls come to the USA and it is a trap if they choose to stay. Very difficult and long lasting decision.

It is a similar situation if you overstay your RU visa and then want to get another visa... it becomes more difficult. In the USA, it becomes impossible.

LS,

Count your blessings, fuck like bunnies, and make sure she gets to the airport on time!

I've never been in this position myself, but I know many people who have. CAT is right, this type of situation is a trap, for both the girl and yourself (at least emotionally).

She has 4 options;

1. She can overstay her visa. No one will come after her. The INS is not going to send out Marshals to track down one stray Russian girl. And there are no legal consequences for you in associating with an illegal alien.

But she will not be able to work after her work permit expires, and she will not be able to renew her work permit, so she will have no source of income. Her only option will be to find an employer who will be willing to hire her, knowing that she is illegal. This is a terrible life, much worse than her life back in Russia. She will be paid less than minimum wage and she will be at the mercy of whoever happens to be employing her for as long as she is in the U.S.

2. Stay as a student. It's possible that she could adjust her current visa status to that of a student. She would have to register at a college or university here in the U.S. and she would have to show that she had the financial resources to support herself while studying here. Are you willing to pay for that?

There is a terrible shortage of nurses in the U.S. right now. I've heard that the State of California, for instance, is sponsoring foreign citizens who are willing to make a commitment to becoming professional nurses.

3. Persuade some American guy to marry her. Are you willing to do that?

4. Honor the terms of her visa and go home. If she does, then there is a very good chance that she will be granted another visa at some point in the future. If she doesn't, she will never be granted a U.S. visa again. Unless she marries an U.S. citizen.

As young and idealistic as she may be, you need to persuade her that she really is better off back home.

If you really want to test her love for you, send her home, and then go visit her in Russia. If she is still as crazy about you back in her home town as she was here, then it might be for real.

One piece of advice. If she does decide to stay, as I said, the INS will not track her down, but, if she should happen to walk into an INS office for some reason, they will arrest her on the spot and deport her.

BTW, if she gets pregnant, it's her problem. If the child is born here in the U.S., it will automaticlly be a U.S. citizen, as well as a Russian citizen. But that won't help her in any way in so far as staying in this country.

Good luck,

Stravinsky

LS,

This really depends on where you are, and how easy it is for a person to survive there without a visa. I know quite a few Russian girls in NYC who have lived here several years illegally, and they do perfectly fine - have their jobs, driver licenses, bank accounts, credit cards, car loans, etc. But if you're in, I don't know, Idaho or Washington state then it may be difficult to survive as an illegal immigrant.

In any case, if the girl wants to stay she certainly can, and she does have options even being here illegally. She'll get paid under the table, won't pay any taxes / social security, and won't get to vote, but other than that she should be fine. The only way for her to become legal though is through marriage. These four Russian girls I know, I met them about five years ago just as they got off the boat. Three of them are still single but desperately looking, and the fourth one got married three years ago, and just got her green card without any problems.

Anyway, this is all regarding her. In regards to you, the ONLY option is to eject, eject, eject. Do NOT stick around. Russian girls are best enjoyed in their natural habitat, or fresh out of it. If she stays in the US and you keep seeing her, be ready to watch that Mr Hyde come out and rapidly take over.

Whatever you do, don't marry her; or at the very least don't marry her until she becomes fully Americanized in a couple of years. Every single marriage or long-term relationships with replanted ex-Soviet dyevs I've ever seen, they all ended very similarly because of the girls' rapid personality change brought on by the change in environment. Be very, very careful. She's only so nice because she doesn't know any different, yet.

Be a man and tell her that if she stays you have no plans on taking care of her.

Or have her enroll in the cheapest community college you can find and get a student visa.

Sometimes it almost gets annoying listening to Ukrainian/Russian woman complaining about being stuck in the ex SU. If they want to know what life can really suck like, they should try being a female in any Muslim country or living in 90% of Africa.

Be careful if you will decide to marry her..

I totally agree with 109.

I have 3 friends married with 2 slovak girls and 1 czech girl, it is unbelievable how these girls from east europe change after they get married!

They become even more selfish than our, very much, selfish native italians girls!

And when they are married, they know that if they decide to get divorce, they will have all life long very good salary from you without do nothing.
This make, for example my friends, scared often to do something wrong, make them do so good and their wife treat them worst as if they were dog!

They, my friends, are housekeepers now..sad, very sad, but true!

Maybe my friends are just weak?

I don't think so... The life of divorced man here in Italy is not so nice and very seldom marriage with girls from east europe have long future.

Just what I saw here, just my 2 cents.

LS:

The guys are right, tell her like it is. She needs to know the real deal and you certainly dont want to maneuver yourself into an ugly situation.

Escape is relatively easy now, if you wait to long it could be like quicksand.

Her situation isnt uncommon, girls on exchange programs, au pair girls, work permit girls etc. go through it all the time all around America.

Still, she has to know where she stands and where you as a couple stand. You arent her knight in shining armor, even if that reality hurts both her and bruises your ego. You said it yourself, you don't want to be that guy.

IMHumbleO her only legit option is to go home and try to come back as a student... it will give her perspective about her time in America and the chances of returning legally are good. If you do like her enough to do so, offer for her to come back to you, but as a legal immigrant on a student visa... and only on a legal basis.

If she stays illegally, she'll be poor, unskilled, lacking proper language skills, illegal, and vulnerable to blackmail, abuse and manipulation.

She'll be class A white trash. That's a shitty life.

Be good to her, be kind to her, but tell her like it is.

Just to clarify a couple of things about marriage to a RU girl... I agree totally with everyone about their attitude changing, which is dangerous enough.

However, I'm not totally sure about getting a visa extension if a RU girl is in the USA, gets married and then requests a visa based on being married...

BUT, if an American marries a RU/Ukr girl in the FSU, she must still go through all of the visa requirements that every FSU girl must go through for a fiance visa. The rules change slightly if you have been married for more than a year, but you still must jump through the same hoops. This applies even if she has a husband and a baby who is an American citizen. At this point, who knows how the fiance visa would be affected if she had overstayed her visa in the past.

My gut tells me that, in this day and age, the authorities will not be particularily happy when she overstays her visa and then walks in married and requests a green card based on marriage to a US citizen... even if she has another US citizen sucking on her right breast at the time.

Best advice for us all to give you... Send her home and go visit. Then you are in control... BUT, if you decide it is "LUV", get a pre-nup and never tell her all the details of your financial affairs or you may see it on another official document in the very near future.

This is a subject that I have researched and all I have to say is this. It's not worth it! According to the I-864 that you sign to bring them here USA that is you agee with the US govt to take care of them for ten years wheather you are married to them or not. housing, health care, money, everything! Also they get a document in the US Embassy when they get their visa that outlines their rights under US law. Phone numbers to call they whole enchelada about how to protect themselves from this horrble man! The minute they step off the plane they can scream Domestic Violence and call the police and guess what, you're guilty automatically and they will kick you out of your own house! Believe me I have seen this happen to a guy in spokane washington and this happened two years ago and he is still making the house payment and paying for everything. She accused him of trying to make her a prostitute and the cops halled his ass to jail and them the legal fees started. My advice is visit and then leave. have fun enjoy life but fuck the rest of it.

Ca_T,

Now we're getting technical, but well, I should clarify my own point from earlier. I should have been clearer.

Basically, yes, if you let your visa run out, you're screwed. But! There's a catch. If you send INS a letter requesting an extension of your status, or a transfer to a different status - even for a completely bullshit reason - your status will remain 'in process' for a loooong time. In New York or LA or some other immigrant-filled area with the overworked INS, if you want to stay, you can stay almost indifintely.

So, it's not that you're perfectly fine staying here 100% illegally. However, you can stay with an expired visa and no immigration status, and keep yourself in legal limbo for a loooong time, at a cost of 32 cents per month.

CA Traveler
09-16-05, 10:16
109... actually, that is probably a loophole in the system that is a reasonable way to "extend" your visa without having a red "I" tattooed on your forehead. Too bad that doesn't work in Russia... here if you over stay your visa you will have some 'splainen' to do.

Stravinsky
09-16-05, 15:59
CAT,

If an American man marries a Russian woman in Russia, then there is no longer any need for a fiance visa, since a marriage has taken place. The Russian bride would then be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa, based on the fact that she is now married to a U.S. citizen. And, yes, she would still have to jump through all the hoops that any foreign citizen would have to jump through in order to immigrate to the U.S., except that her visa would be automatically approved, since she is a member of the immediate family of a U.S. citizen.

If the girl has a history, however, of obtaining a U.S. visa under false pretenses, i.e., overstaying a previous visa, then it's hard to say how the State Department would react to that. I'm not sure they could deny her a visa, but they could make her wait for a long time. So then the guy is faced with a tough choice. Do I stay here in the U.S. while my wife is stuck in Russia indefinitely? Or do I move to Russia and live there?

1o9,

Sure, there are lots of illegal aliens living in the U.S. and making a good living. I used to know/subsidize quite a few of them before Rudy Baby shut down the lap dance clubs in NYC. :-( As we all know... the only way a young woman can live well in the U.S. as an illegal alien is to prostitute herself in some way.

BTW, the Patriot Act has just completely changed the landscape for illegal aliens living in the U.S.. Hell, it's changed the landscape for citizens living in the U.S.!

LS,

These guys have posted quite a bit of great advice relating to this subject. Russian women are quick to fall in and out of love. I gave thought to something similar last year, fortunately I did not.

Funny thing is many of these issues apply to women worldwide and especially American women! Be honest & keep repeating the word no.

Thanks for all of the repsonses, guys. I knew I could expect some good feedback here.

A lot of times in life it seems you know in your mind the proper course of action to take - the only real challenge is forcing yourself to do it. So, I will talk to her again, tell her that I think her staying here in the U.S. is a bad idea for a number of reasons. I will tell her that I think she needs to go back to her city, back to university where she belongs, and that if she chooses to stay here, I can no longer be a part of her life.

I'll let you guys know what happens.

P.S. - On the Westernization of her attutide:

It's already starting to happen. Nothing serious yet; she hasn't turned into a raving b*tch or anything. But over the last few months, I have seen the demure, passive girl I met in May gradually grow in self-confidence, fueled by the power and promise of her new surroundings. It has been an amazing and bittersweet thing to witness. Mostly bittersweet, however, because we all know how these stories end. Once she becomes fully westernized, of course, the girl I knew will be gone.

Strav... OK, granted it is not a "fiance" visa... there is a separate category, number, for it, but the requirements are the same... interview, medical tests, etc. I know, a former monger buddy who married to a RU babe, lives here, and he is going through it now. It is the same EVEN IF they have a baby who is a US citizen. Now, granted under normal circumstances the visa will be approved, it still takes time. Apparently the laws are different still if you were just married, more strict that is, and a little less so if you've been married for a full year or more.

Marc25 has good advice... in fact, it is good advice whether the girl is Russian OR American!

I have this fantasy of getting a Russian girl pregnant, but I feel it is time to make it a reality. How would I go about finding a girl that wants to have an American baby? Should I be upfront and just ask a girl right away if she is interested? Would it be easier to bring her back to the states before or after she has the baby?

Thanks for your help

I am a single 28 year old guy that is also looking for marriage, so I don't think it is as crazy an idea to want to get a Russian girl pregnant as it may seem on the surface. Are there any particular areas in Russia you think I have a better shot at finding the right girl? Thanks for your help.

CA Traveler

BJ.... Please share with us why you think that RU girls would be jumping with joy to have an American baby? Just exactly what do they gain from that?

If a RU girl wants to get knocked up... there are plenty of RU men who will gladly drop their seed and run...

If you think that they would do it just for a green card... think again, an American baby is not an automatic trip around the board to Park Place.

If you are thinking that some sweet young dyvushka will jump at the chance to marry an American, you may quickly find that the numbers are far fewer than you anticipated. For example, I had a client come to town with high hopes of offering a fiance visa to 1 of 4 girls in Moscow on his first visit to meet them... His brilliant plan was to take them back to East Bum Fuck USA and then after 90 days decide if he liked them or not and if not... he would just send them back to RU. Unfortunately for him, he wound up leaving town three weeks later with his tail between his legs because they all told him to take a hike.

Please understand that today's Russia is not the Russia of 1992 or 1998... As has been written about many times, at least in Moscow, you would be shocked at the amount of disposable cash many of these girls have. That said, I am sure that if you speak Russian and you head out into the smaller villages you will soon find someone who is willing to carry your baby.

However, I still must ask... what are you getting out of this??? Are you planning on taking her back to whereever and make her your wife? Your mistress? Your pet?

I suggest that if you seriously want a wife... come over here and stay for a while and meet some people... go visit some smaller towns... write to some girls and get involved with the people. You'll soon have more credibiltiy, both with a Russian girl and on the board, than just throwing out a fantasy that seems more like an erotic nightmare to most of us instead of a lifelong dream that you are considering making a reality!

Guys,
what is the age of consent in Russia?

I was able to get several phone numbers cold on the street and metro. One of the numbers is for an incredibly hot little student. However, she is very young. I think she is just entering university. I want to stay on the legal side of the age of consent. The age of consent is 16. If she is just entering her first year of University she will be 16/17. In Russia they only go up to 11'th grade and have 5 years of university.

I was just answering the question about what the law says, according to a lawyer from my company in Russia. But I spent a lot of time visiting Russian schools that our company sponsors and everyone should be careful with First year university students they meet in clubs, especially outside of Moscow, because they are usually under 18 and really innocent, while looking a whole lot older and dressing like she is experienced. I was in Perm in a disco club with some Russian businessmen and a girl who spoke some English came up to me and started talking to me. She was not my type so I was only polite. One week later I went to a School and presented a gift from our company, Alina the same girl was there as a 11'th grader. I thanked my lucky stars I didn't talk to her much that night in the club.

How can we tell if a Russian woman is married? Do they wear wedding bands the same way as American women (left hand, ring finger)? I have heard that Russians wear them on right hand but which finger?

Thanks.

Stravinsky
10-10-05, 01:24
Charlie,

Most Russian women will be of the Russian Orthodox faith. If they were married in the Orthodox church, then the wedding band is worn on the ring finger of the right hand.

If there is a ring on the ring finger of their left hand, it could be an engagement ring, or it could be a gift that their babushka gave them on their 16th birthday. Or maybe something they picked out of a box of Cracker Jack.

Big Bro,

Although we all would question the wisdom of falling in love with a girl who gives up her most intimate physical gifts to other men for money, love is where you find it.

Consider the emotion she inspires in you as a gift in itself. You feel love and affection, you feel both good and bad. You stay up late thinking about her. As much as you worry, you dont want to be without this feeling.

She reminds you that you are human. That you are capable of these feelings. Enjoy it while it lasts. It probably wont last forever, but while it does, she's yours and nobody elses.

Hey guys,

I'm in SPb, will have a lot to report once I get better internet access. Very successful visiting apartments.

Anyway, the Rendevu weekly is great, but I was wondering what the abbreviations mean in the ads. I assume they stand for sex acts that the advertiser is willing to do:

I may misrepresent the abbreviation because I do not know how to type in the cyrillic

A/C - I assume this means Anal Sex ... da?
r/C - the r is really the G sound as in gorad. ... Group Sex?
O/C - oral sex?
CP - the second char is the "P" sound as in Ploshat. - what can that be? sex play? sport? sex public? WTF?

And how about the ever popular "yest padruga" or "padrushki" - is this their version of GFE? I have found most of the apartment girls are hesitant about DFK? Should I be asking for "yest padruga" ahead of time?

and then there is the wonderful but rare "foto originale" ... I figured that one out already.

Doctor_Skank
10-27-05, 07:35
Rovnak:

A/C = Анальный секс = anal sex
O/C = oralni sex = oral sex
Г/C = I assume you are right, gruppni sex = group sex
CP = Семейным парам = married couples welcome

padruga yest or padrushki= means "I have a girlfriend" or "girlfriends"... meaning you can book 2 or more girls for a menage or whatever... at extra charge of course.

I've been reading that senior mongers keep saying that it's better to stay at an apartment than a hotel. The only obvious reason given is that it is easier to bring girls back to apartments as opposed to go through the hassle of hotel securities. And then apartments might be a little cheaper.

But I was wondering wouldn't it be more convienient to stay at a hotel and have a hotel maid clean the room and do laundry for us? God knows how many clean sheets we mongers need. There is also the issue of doing grocery shopping and stocking the bar. Wouldn't it be easier to just stay at a hotel and have everything taken care of by hotel people?

Armorer
11-10-05, 02:40
Well, the places I have rented some are like hotels, they will fix it to where you can have it cleaned daily, and laundry done. Just depends on what you want. Me I like it cause it seems more privet, and seems like better prices for what you get. Thats why I choose apartment

Charles H:

Apartments vs. Hotels:

You're right, there are advantages (+) and disadvantages (-) to each.

Hotels:
+ convenient and easy
+ generally well-located, easy to find
+ some have in house stock, although girls are of questionable quality in relation to price
+ regular cleaning
+ registration of visa provided
+ other basic services such as business center, exchange office, bar all on location

- expensive, $200+/night
- cheaper Russian hotels NOT girl-friendly
- regular "freebie" type girls often dont want to go to hotels
- only basic amenities
- hotel guests tend to "bunker up" in hotels and never really get to know Moscow

Apartments:
+ usually good location in center
+ cheaper than hotels, $100+/night
+ good apartment will have all amenities, incl. kitchen, DVD player etc.
+ regular "freebie" type girls prefer apartments
+ all apartments are "girl-friendly"
+ most apartment services offer cleaning at least once every 2 days
+ exposure to real Moscow life

- no visa registration service provided
- some apartments located in impractical locations
- requires some knowledge of Russian living style, door codes etc.
- some apartments may have hot water problems etc.

Basically it depends on your purpose of visit. If you are only staying a day or two, just want to bang an NF pro or two and money is no problem, than any of the Western hotels will be fine.... but plan on spending $250+ for most hotels, especially in high-season... and it always seems to be high-season in Moscow... the cheapest time of year is curiously enough the Christmas season when business travellers stay home.

If you however are staying for a few days or more and also want to pursue other p4p options and maybe even hunt "normal" girls, you are definitely better off in an apartment, where you can create your own love nest and atmosphere. Besides that, over the course of a week you'll save hundreds on accommodation costs and can cook your own meals etc, saving more money and time. If your not familiar with Moscow, make sure apartment is on Tverskaya near the Pushkin Square. Its the most convenient location for newbies and there is a lot to do and see right in that area.

If your interest is also in dating/fucking regular girls, an apartment can be a significant advantage. Girls are more interested in guys who visit Moscow regularly... having an apartment goes a long way to convincing them that you are a Moscow regular and worth fucking.

Occassionally you will meet regular girls who are interested in seeing the inside of the expensive hotels they usually just drive or walk by, but for every 1 of them there are 5 girls who'd prefer to be in an apartment somewhere in the middle of town, like Tverskaya. If you get a regular girl in your apartment, you are almost assured of scoring. If you are in Moscow with a fellow monger, throw a party in your apt... girls will get relaxed and have fun too.

Skank, thanks for the feedback as always. Well organized and very helpful. That settles it, apartment it is for me! I'm mostly interested in chasing freebies.

When I stayed at a hotel last time, I was worried that the hotel staff would sell me out, tell girls (freebies) that I have brought different girls back to my room everyday. That would've really screwed up my plans.

So freebie girls don't want to go to hotels because they don't want to be mistaken as hookers? Are they taught in Russia that nice girls don't go to strangers' hotel rooms?

Doctor_Skank
11-17-05, 08:31
CharlieH:

I doubt that the hotel staff would sell you out, you'll certainly not be the first guy they see parading in different girls everyday... actually you are more likely to be sold out by the babushka watching the door in the apartment complex your staying in... they can be pretty ratty... but that shouldnt worry you really either.

"Good" girls are taught that you dont go alone into a "strange" guy's room period, but this old adage seems to have been overhauled by modern life. Often it is easier to get them in the apartment for the first time during the day time. Certainly many freebies would have no problem going to a hotel either and are sometimes even curious to have a look, but the apartment is more comfortable for most girls and you are able to create better atmosphere there... unless of course your staying at the executive suite in Ararat or Riverside Towers, which might also be impressive for the dyevs. Frankly speaking though, I've yet to see a hotel room in Russia that really impressed me, not even in the most expensive hotels. Comfortable, clean and warm yes, but true luxury no. Very basic, especially considering the price tag.

If you go the apartment route, I suggest you try to get an apartment in the very center, as besides the geographical advantages for you, especially younger girls from Moscow's outer suburbs can be quite curious about seeing the inside of these buildings. Even if the apartments arent really impressive either, you'll at least get them in for "tea" and thats all that matters. Once in there, you can go to work on them.

And never underestimate the powerful combination of seductive lighting, sensual music and sweet alcoholic cocktails...

CA Traveler
11-18-05, 08:08
Just my two-bits worth... Don't worry about being sold out by hotel staff... They are pretty much closed mouth about it but you will find the big problem with them is that they want their cut.

Apartment problems??? I've never experienced a problem with any of my apartments OR more importantly with the 10 apartments I rented in Moscow. And believe me when I tell you that I have presented some situations that should have caused problems with the 24/7 door security,

However, IMHO you will find that apartments are far less trouble than hotels... of course, doc's excellent comparison lays out the differences between the two... if one or the other is your highest priority, then you should let your priorities help you make a decision. Personally... I would never stay in a hotel in the FSU unless it is either free OR if I have no other choice.

What exactly is a sponsor and sponsorship in Russia?

Is it you pay x amount of dollars per month in exchange for sex x times? Is it basically an extension of seeing a hooker, ie, renting by the hour versus leasing for a month? Strictly a business transaction?

Is this how sponsorship works?

What do the girls and men expect in a sponsorship relationship?

Is it something common in Russia? Or is it only a phenomenon in Moscow and St. Pete?

I'm still new to the scene, any info from the exerienced mongers will be appreciated, thanks.

BigthDikth
12-01-05, 18:02
If you are over there and make friends with some of the people you will have a better idea about sponsoring. You could sponsor a hooker that has you as her only client or it could be a normal girl that is your girlfriend or mistress. Or it could be someone you have befriended, no sex involved, and you simple want to help that person. I was helping out a girl by having her do some work for me. She is a nice girl and when I tried to give her anything like clothes, money, etc. she would always say no. For me the money was very little but for her it meant getting through the month with enough food. I ended up hiring her to do little things for me. I got the pleasure of helping someone who was worthy and she was able to keep her dignity and get thought the month a little easier.

2. Data, Time, Language and Regional Options
3. Pick a Task: Add other Language or Pick a Control Panel icon
4. Languages, Details, Add
5. Languages, Details, Preferences, Language Bar, Show the Language Bar at the desktop
6. Language Bar appears in System Tray (bottom right of your screen. When you doppelklick it, you can change the language, to Russian or many other languages. To change back to English, doppelklick the RU.

You have to experiment a little.

Otherwise, you can also use Help and Support in Windows X. In the Search field type: Text Services

Charlie,
If you are using an MS Windows based PC, go to Control Panel | Keyboards, there should be a tab there that says "Languages". Click on that and "Add" a language. Select Russian. You will also have to specify a key combination that you will use to toggle between your English keyboard and the Russian keyboard, like Alt-Shift.

It'll probably take you a while to figure out which of the Cyrillic characters corresponds to the Roman characters on your English keyboard.

Remember, this will only enable your keyboard to enter Cyrillic characters on your screen. That doesn't necessarily mean that they will print on your printer. For that you will need Cyrillic fonts.

Et cetera, et cetera...

What’s the magic behind the EE girls? Did mothers teach their beloved daughters how to please a man? Even 19 years old shy girl became a wild cat on bed. Who thought these girls to put condom with tongue. Their natural scent makes you crazy.

Not always but sometimes they really enjoy rough sex. Harshly pulling hair, heavy handed snapping or squeezing the boots, tough penetration, nipple biting (usually they love to do it), no Greek but ass fingering during the DATY or penetration. 19 years old to 35 years old, does not matter how old or how experienced she is; she is aware of her sexual powers and she makes you her toy boy.

After a while passion and emotions deeply affect your relation with the EE girls. Not only small details (holding the door, help her to wear her coat, small but passionate kisses, holding her like a canary-softly but not the let her run away, light up her cigarette, remember what she drinks, play the Russian cds she likes, and more) make her closely connected to you but also help you to break the ice and jump over many barriers.

One of my friends just returned from Moscow. He stayed at my blood brother’s apartment. My blood brother and I had great times and adventures in Moscow. My friend has kept telling me how the beauties of Russian women hypnotized him and how attractive they are.

My blood brother lives and works there; recently he met his 5th girl friend. Nowadays I also have a serious relationship with a Moldavian girl, even though that does not stop me mongering, but forced to revaluate my life style and my passionate love to EE girls.

I have countless relations with pros-semi pros and freebies. I still cannot find the answer of why I love Slavic women. What makes me deeply connected to them?

Do you have any answers?

By the way you may find short term and long-term apartment lease offers and ads who are looking housemates in Moscow at expat.ru accommodation section.

Its not them AJ, its you. Its in your DNA. They are just the

biochemistry.

That IS part of the mystery of their magic!

Its that you CAN'T answer that question.

Besides, if you could find an easy explanation, then it wouldn't BE

But its the same for mongers who say their favorite flavor is latin

Some not so interesting observations about Moscow:

1) Everybody hates the bomzhi (bums). Girls that would go out of the way to help the poor still hate the bomzhi. I’m not fond of them either and generally believe that every healthy person is solely responsible for their own fate, however I thought they might receive more compassion than they do. They don’t.

2) Young taxi drivers will hit on your p4p date or even your girlfriend. Young Russian taxi drivers seemingly have no problem with trying to chat up your girl or even getting her phone number, assuming most likely that you don’t speak Russian. Fucking assholes. They usually claim that the are just offering taxi services, but WTF? If my girlfriend ever gave a guy her number I’d leave her in the fucking taxi. Once a pro I was with gave her number to the guy. I overreacted and chewed her out afterwards.

3) Teremok tastes great. There is a fast food chain of kiosk-like restaurants called “Teremok”. They serve blinis, salad and soup. Blinis are like French crepe or thin pancakes. The blinis are very cheap and really delicious. If I am on a Moscow fuck-a-thon I eat tons of caviar, red of black. Of course black’s better, but much more expensive. Teremok's red caviar blini only costs 135 rubles ($5). I eat to replenish lost protein. No idea if my theory is scientifically sound, but who cares. It convinces me that I’m reloading. We elite ISG sex commandos need ammo!

4) Riding in gypsy taxis is one of Moscow’s most memorable experiences. The most harrowing and sometimes most fun adventures I’ve ever had in Moscow were in the taxis. Last trip my taxi driver had no legs. Old man drove a Lada station wagon with some sort of hand-operated clutch, gas and brake. A weird contraption of metal was steering him through the crowded Moscow streets. And he drove like a fucking tank driver in a hotrod, Andy Capp hat on his head, cigarette hanging from his mouth and sunglasses on. I don’t scare easily, but that was a ride I’ll never forget.

5) Don’t forget to be a tourist now and then. No matter how well you THINK you know Moscow, you can always find new places that captivate and hold your fascination. And that goes for finding new girls too. Moscow is simply great.

Reading your observations and looking to your foto, very good idea the view of window with the girl close.., remind me to the unforgettable days in Moscow in january...

Yes Moscow is so expensive, so big, but it is a must for everybody who feel himself a romantic turist with the hobby to hunt russian girls.

Your 5th observation has to be written in a little piece of paper and to stay in the pages of my passport to remind me to be always a "little" crazy out there, cause Russia never disappointed "crazy" guy who will treat it with "respect" and always fullfill his mind with unforgettable memories of Mockba.

I have homesick, need to comeback home soon...

I had the Rycckii televisor on the other day, and happened to catch an interesting news report.

There was a discussion that took place in the Russian Duma, which is nothing newsworthy, except this was a discussion about Russian tourism. I didn't think the Russian Federatsiya gave a rat's ass about foreign tourism, but there has been a big decline in Russian tourism and the the Duma was concerned.

Apparently, it's beginning to sink in that tourism can represent a fair amount of income to the Russian government (imagine that!). The Duma wanted to understand what was causing the decline in tourism and they came to the following conclusions (surprise, surprise):

1. Onerous visa requirements,
2. Lack of affordable hotel accomodations,
3. Moscow is just too damned expensive.

So maybe there is some hope after all.

Doctor_Skank

Strav,

That's assuming we want tourists flocking to Moscow. I don't. I dread that day. It certainly won't make Moscow better for us. I dread the day the visa requirement is lifted, there are cheap flights to Moscow and there is $70/night accomodation. I am not trying to be elitist but rather pragmatic. May the day of a truly affordable, tourist-friendly Moscow never come.

Agreed. Keep the high prices, there are ways to avoid those.

It would be nice, though, if we could just get our visa when we arrived.

What is the meanng of "минет" or variants thereof.

I see this word translated as "will pass" when it is run through babelfish or other automatic translators. It appears often in reviews and ads.

PS - anybody know of a better Russian translator than babelfish. I don't know if it the translator or the fact that the reviews are so full of slang. But running reviews from the amurspb forum through babelfish is hardly useful. Half the time I can't even figure out if the review is positive or negative, so much of it is translated into unintelligible literal phrases.

doc... I don't think you should worry too much about Moscow becoming a "tourist" haven. I have had several friends and associates in the last two months tell me that they do not plan to visit Moscow very much in the future. They are just tired of the attitude and high costs. One is a businessman from Europe who used to travel there monthly. Several others are mongers who, like me, love(d) Moscow for the adventure and numerous options for ceks.

Besides, the same Duma that is concerned about tourism is the same Duma that implemented all of the current laws AND several others that they had to backtrack from because there was such an uproar from big foreign business who have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get their employees there.

In addition, even with a drop in tourism the city's desire to maximize revenue has totally outweighed proper planning. What other big city would allow as many as 8 or 10,000 hotel rooms to be either destroyed or in reconstruction at the same time. In addition, the city ulitmatum that they would build 100,000 moderately priced hotel rooms in the center will never happen simply because the mayor will sell any property controlled by the city to the person with the highest return for others besides the city. So, that means that by the time that the actual legit buyer for any center city property is actually able to buy it, the price has gone through the roof, in an artificial way, which then requires a very healthy price for a hotel room to recoup the large initial investment. Hence, the hotel at 3 Tverskaya, which was to be a Hilton is now going to be a Ritz Carlton.

Besides, if worst comes to worst... they can always insist that a few more places be turned into casinos which will really get the crowds there... Right?

To be honestly, babelfish is not really reliable. In my first time in Moscow, I wanted to invite girls to Sunday brunch. I used babelfish to translate it into Russian.

Sunday brunch translated as “reaping a field”. And girls kept saying Nyet. :)

Big Bro AJ (love that name),

No kidding, the babelfish translation is downright comical. I can take an arbitrary dev review (they call the "fairey" reviews (or goblins, its like Middle Earth), plug it into babelfish and its a howler.

I told Doc Skank, that one set of reviews kept talking about "big noses" and I could only conclude from the context and the photos that it must be some sort of slang for big tits.

Some of the translations are like modern poetry, interesting and entertaining, but unintelligible.

Hi there,

It was years ago I was working as a lumber jack (really) very close to Finnish border in South-West of Russia. There I learned a couple of phrases I know try to remember. I wonder if you could translate their meaning, might be that they dont mean anything but lets try

idi nahhui
turak
kreslamati
huili dibe nada
jobbai mati turak

I just tried to write as I heard them pronounced. Very funny thing was, it was the time of good old Soviet Union in early 1980's, that I heard those phrases said by females, who were working as a forewomen... Oh, it was nice time, I was young and there were beautiful communist girls :)

Sorry to bother you with this :)

JB:

I can decipher a couple of them offhand:

idi nahhui : idi na hui = go to the dick, meaning fuck off/[CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off

turak : durak = idiot, wanker, fool

kreslamati : (no idea what this means)

huili dibe nada : hui tebe nada? Something to the effect "what the fuck you need?)

jobbai mati turak = the first part is probably "ebi", meaning "to fuck"... the second part is "mat/mother" and the third part is "durak/idiot"... but in that combo it really doesnt mean anything... unless " fuck mother, idiot"... in the past tense its "yob mat" ... "fucked mother". Somehow there seens to be a "tvoyu/your" missing in there... so maybe the classic: "ebi tvoyu mat, durak"
... "go fuck your mother, you fucking idiot"

Russian girls... or Slavic girls in general... are an addiction you'll never cure yourself of. Nor will you ever want to cure yourself... can I get a Proud to Be a Slavic Girl Sponsor bumpersticker?

Doc,

GOD BLESS YOU…I want that bumpersticker..:)

To this day, I have been trying to explain how I become addicted to Slavic women. There is no cure for them…

Some guys only prefer Asian girls or Latinos, and they compared with Slavic woman but NO. This is not like that.

Asian girls, petit skinny tight, different experience but not that special….Latinos shaggy booty, mostly perky boobs, joyful but not really my type…

I don’t understand why they try to compare Slavic women with others.

Eyes to die for, body to kill….I am addicted to Slavic women, not only for sex...

The Dermo book has a ton of very obsolete expressions. If you really want a masterpiece (which will definitely impress the girls a lot more since a lot of the ones I've met have seen the Dermo book a lot), look for the Tolkovij Slovar' Russkij Mat. It includes everything from modern urban slang / profanity all the way down to village / kolkhoz vulgar talk.

Thanks for the tip, but where can we get the book you are talking about? I havent been able to find it.

As for Dermo, it is almost 10 years old so some of the slang will be old-fashioned, especially the idioms. Nonetheless, most of it is up to date, as many natives have confirmed to me. Besides that, I usually just use it as an icebreaker, which has always worked. Girls read it and laugh their head off... add a couple potent drinks to the mix and the right mood is set. Much more effective than reading "War and Peace" together over a glass or red wine...

A bit off topic, but does anyone know a place that will register you w/o the landlord letter? They just tightened up their visa laws agian and if you have 2 registration violations you will be denied a visa. Almost no landlords here will never provide the letter as they a) don't want to pay taxes b) are to lazy to go down to the living committee office c) are afriad that they will appear on radar of some petty offcial

Where are you living? Essentially whomever made your stay arrangements should also provide your registration, respectively whomever issued your visa invite.

If a hotel, then your hotel should register you, for free.

If a travel agency issued the invite, they should register you.

If the travel agency won't or can't do the registration and you are staying in an apartment, then the apartment agency should offer this service for about $30-50.

If none of the above can do it, some hotels will do it for a fee of one night's stay, usually about $50-100, for example at Hotel Pekin. Some will do it for less I am sure, but you'll just have to try.

There are numerous "dubious" agents who also provide registration services to foreigners and non-Muscovites (you see their ads plastered everywhere around Moscow) but I personally have never gone that way since the people issuing my visa invite register me for 6 months.

Why don’t we create a thread focus on Slavic women. Besides our sexual experiences, we might share our opinions on Slavic women.. How we become addicted; the reality behind our addiction.

I will be honest; I am addicted to Slavic women and others don’t attract me any more.

Dude, I told you, its in YOUR DNA. Its your basic animal instinct
to fuck to reproduce the species.

Also, trust me, them turning you on has as much to do with
other cultures, especially american women, turning you OFF
because of their lousy greedy cold attitudes.

If you were stuck most of the year in the US of Abstinence,
you would just as gladly fuck some hot Peruvian college
girl as you would one from Serbia. I mean, anything that's
foreign, even orientals or skinny Indian pussy from Trinidad.

What matters is that its foreign. Now, when it comes to
selecting a travel destination, that is different. 13 vacations
in a row for the last 6 years to some dreary industrial soviet
block steel town, when I could be anywhere else like Bora Bora,
means the Slavs exert the ultimate pull on my soul. The
sweet nectar from their sex organ that they share keeps me
comng back and buzzing around looking for a new supply
because, well, I just want it more than anything else. If I
was sitting in Bora Bora enjoying the beauty of nature, sunshine,
clean cool waters, fresh seafood, tropical breezes, I'd just be
depressed thinking about the sweet muffin I left behind in
Rostov.

There is definitely something wrong with that, but, well,....what
are you gonna do? When you're hooked, you're hooked.
And bringing one home with you is just a lot easier said than
done, and a whole 'nother subject. For you few lucky bastards
that have jobs or income that let you actually live there all
the time, well, fuck you, we hate you!! :-)

Don't get confused by peasant's question... The letter that he is talking about is if you are renting an apartment from a RU landlord or if the apartment service is not doing their job and turn you over to deal with the RU landlord. If you try to register yourself, you will have to get the RU landlord involved... He will likely NOT want to pay the community services AND run up a red flag for the tax police that he is making money on rentals. Technically, you must be registered to an apartment, or hotel, but as doc said there are places who will register you... one I know used to register you for $50 or $60, Peking Hotel, Room 629, it is a travel agency ask for Layla.

Of course the other letter is the invitation letter for the visa, tourist or multiple entry and this is part of the visa process and not the registration process.

peasant you are correct that RU continually makes it more and more difficult to enter and stay in the country... it's that constant harrasment that forced me to consider Ukraine as an alternative and I am very glad I did. The stress level here is about 20% of Russia. Not to mention the current 28C temperature varitation and the $30 no holds barred sex we've been enjoying! :)

I was referring to the fact that whoever issued the invite, whether it is a hotel, travel agency/apartment service or a company, is theoretically responsible for your visa registration and if you want long-term registration of 6 months, they are the only ones theoretically able to do it.

Notice my emphasis on theoretically... Russian bureaucracy is a pain.

Ukr vs. Rossia:

Admittedly, Ukraine is a very attractive place to visit... hot women, cheaper prices and no visa/police hassle. It's definitely a friendlier place in terms of that. I cant wait to visit again.

But if I had to choose between Ukraine and Russia I'd still pick Moscow's unique flair, wild, loving Russian women and big city life hands down over Kiev, Odessa or Ukr. I have yet to find a city that has the same combination of available, approachable women, night life, big city flair and youthful energy that Moscow does. Just as you said about Odessa however, much of Moscow's flair and attraction is under the surface.

Thankfully, I can also choose to have both... :) So see you in Odessa... hopefully soon!

Then you take the receipt for that payment to the company who issued your visa and with that receipt the 6 mo registratin will be made. It is a two step process which the landlord must be involve in.

Hi,

was several time faced with this problem and could saddle for myself a very special way....cannot explain, just that much that the police officer should pay me in order to keep his job.. :-)

Following expierences I made using a registration service announced in the metro middle of last Year:

*Used a friend of mine to call the phone no. in order to fix an appointment and get the adress
*Meeting point was next to there office outside (the like to check the people before they will tell you the final adress)
*Went to a underground office and paid 20€ for a 6 days registration(so far so good)
*They told me they would need 1 working day to arrange( thanks god it was Monday)
*Left my Passport there in very bad feeling
*Tryed to call them all next Morning....Was more then happy to reach them in the late afternoon
*Went again to there office (did I mentioned it was 8 Metro stops far away from Centre?)
*received my passport with registration!!! Yes, you really learn in Russia to enjoy simple things

The sense of this story?
They registered me somewhere at the end of Moscow, it was even immpossible for me to spell the name of the area, street name, no. of house, no. of the entrance, no. of the apartment + the name of the apartment owner...

Thanks god in this week no one police guy stopped me because I would have been in much bigger trouble with this registration since I could'nt explain why a german guy is having such strange adress....

Better ask people they know how to deal with this and pay the 50 bucks for it with pleasure ...

Maha:

I fly Pulkovo all the time and so far they havent crashed once while I was aboard. :) (knock on wood)

Its a St.Pete based airline and they recently introduced Boeing 737s. Should be a reassurance, but lately aging Boeings have been falling from the sky more often than the Tu-154s and Il-86s that they used to fly internationally, see recent Boeing crashes in Greece, Africa, South America, Asia, USA.

Flying is always a risk, if you think any single airline is perfectly safe, you are mistaken. On international flights Russian airlines perform very well... the only recent crashes were not the fault of pilot or aircraft, but rather European air traffic control. Nearly all Tu crashes in the last 15 years were on inner-CIS flights with oddball airlines...

OK, service, food etc. on Pulkovo is average at best... but my luggage always arrived, flight was (almost) never late and it is cheap. The 737s are a definite improvement on the Tus and Ils, which got you there, but in which cabin comfort for the passenger sucked... hated those seats.

Another option is SAS, which flies over its hub in Copenhagen. Nice airport. Flights from Europe to St.Pete are fairly cheap.. maybe not as cheap as Pulkovo, but in the same ballpark.

My advice Maha, fly Pulkovo. Save your cash for the dyevs. They'll thank you in their own special way. :)

I have read a few pages and found out that it costs about US $ 150-200 for a girl in Russia ST.
Where as I was in Thailand and I did quite a few Russians there and I paid any where from US $ 50-60. They were nice looking.
Why are they so expensive in there home land??? Just curious.

So if there is more money in Moscow and St. Pete than why they go to Thailand.
And I am talking about 8-10 range girls in Thailand.

You know there are other cities in Russia? And there are girls in those cities? And there are also Russian girls in such countries as Ukraine, Belarus, and others?

Also, comparing prices between different countries is very silly. $50 in Moscow is very different from $50 in Thailand.

Holidays?

Getting to know a different culture?

Escaping Russian reality?

The difference between -20 and +30 degrees?

Why are there so many Western foreigners in Thailand?

Cheers,
