Marriott has a Brand called AC Hotels, which is lower cost, and simple, yet clean and very nice. I would stay in the main area around Placa de Catalunya. It is central for tourist things and easy to get to most flats. You might find cheaper rooms iin the outlining areas, then cab fares will cost you a fortune. I'm using What's Up to set up some things in advance with a couple of ladies. One is at EEden53, and the other Independent.
