Regardless of some positive posts in this forum I must share with you the experience I had so you could make your decission whether to visit there or not.

Had some time today and had been checking out the neighborhood. First time for me in Istanbul.
Aksaray: Everything is pretty concentrated in one spot.
I told the cab driver to bring me to Aksaray McDonalds, which is right in the middle of the action.
But the food there sucks, never been to a worse McD's.
All the Discos I read about, are on the side of Mc Donalds going down or up the road within a 200 yards. If I saw it right, Bacardi is located going up the road 1 block in the little mall area a little inwards and there going down the stairs. It got a sign there
Big Pub is going down the street (downhill) 1 block from McD's but presently closed. There are some more Discos but be aware some might be rip offs.
But the most interesting place I found just when I was about to be leaving.
It is just on the opposite side of McDonalds the street going away from the mainstreet, walk 80 meters up the street on the left there is a street (Alley) with a lot of restaurants only. Actually it is more a walkway, the tables from the restaurants almost touching each other in the middle of the walkway.
There are many EE girls sitting for every taste, actually some a little older. But that is fine for me.
The system goes as follows: Drink is usually 5$ and ladydrinks the waiter told me are 20$.
