Well, it seems that yesterday was a fruitful day for some friend out here.

I was happy to hear that Mucky had a good time following my advices. The Orange Hotel has the best rooms around Aksaray district and yes, he is right; you can use the room for all night for the same price. It is actually 50 mio TL, for 2 hours or the whole night, no difference. They drew a mere 5 mio TL more from him, probably because he was a stranger. The only minus for the rooms is that they have no minibar. The other hotels have a minibar where a bar of chocolate, two fruit juices and two bottles of cold water are free as a courtesy of the hotel. But those are not worth preferring those hotels, because of the clostrophobic mood of the rooms.

They will be more friendly if you call them with their names. If you do not remember, just look at their name cards attached to their shirt pockets.

Following Kayinco's lead, I checked out this Chinatown place in Gayrettepe this week.

The place is located in a business district. So during business hours, the place would be crowded and the chances are you would bump into someone you know. It may be hard to explain what you're doing there. The entrance is a bit awkward. It's situated next to a cafe which is frequented a lot for lunch. So be extra careful during entrance/exit.

However, the place was a better experience than Nadide. The woman I was with was face 7/10, body 9/10.

Well, I've been back home for just a couple of days and I'm already suffering from the onset of Turkey withdrawal. I had a great time and I just want to write this as a postcript to all of the adventures I had there. I've been pursuing this hobby for a few years now and Turkey really is a fertile environment for letting yourself go and having a good time.

I had a few people PM me concerning places in Antalya to have a good time. So I thought I'd just write my unvarnished experiences here of the couple of days I spent there 2 weeks ago. I rolled into Antalya at about noon, checked into my hotel and decided to do the tourist thing. I saw that there was a Water Park next to the hotel and decided to check it out. It turns out that I was able to get free of charge because of some deal they have with my hotel. I walked in and man, what a madhouse it was. I don't mean that in the sexual way but in the crazy, kids running everywhere way. There were probably more Russians there than in Moscow. Anyways, I walked around for a while scoped some girls out for likely candidates, saw nothing worthwhile and left to go back to my hotel. I asked one of the car hops about all of the Russians and he told me that Antalya and the surrounding area is very popular with Russian package tours. Hmmm, I didn't know that.

I then decided to go downtown and check it out. So, I walked down to the nearest tram station, across the street from the Antalya museum, and rode it downtown. I will say that it was a little bit of a walk from my hotel to the stop. However, it was a pleasant one because it was all on a shaded boardwalk bordering the beach. All throughout this boardwalk there are little cafes and restaurants where you can take a break or just chill out.

As I was saying, I caught the tram and got off downtown. Once there I walked around for a couple of hours, snapping pictures, and just admiring the city. Eventually, I ended up at the Old Harbor and I had an early dinner there. I ate at a restaurant that had an awesome view of the harbor and sat there for a while admiring the vista until about 6:30 PM. Now, I didn't think I would do anything that night for after a couple of beers I started getting the urge. I thought, well, when I catch a taxi to go back to the hotel I'll query the driver and see if he knows what action is available.

I walked up the road where taxis where sitting and got into one of them. Once we got moving I started making small talk with the driver. He spoke rudimentary English, I mean more than enough to make himself understood.

Taxi Driver: Yes, nice place

The taxi driver started talking to him in Turkish and when they were finished Jabba left to go upstairs. this is a small summer resort town of istanbul, where most locals have their second summer houses which they visit for weekends. most people send their families to this town and join them at weekends or just come to work from there. it is on the e5 international road (the old european motorway), about 40 km away from yesilkoy airport). one can also got there by following the tem (trans-european motorway) and taking the kumburgaz (i think it is the fourth exit after toll booths at the exit of istanbul).

the most popular and decent place to stay there is the princess kumburgaz hotel, where a room for two is a mere $80 including bed and breakfast. the room rate is $70 during the week. it is completely monger firendly. they only ask for your and the girl's id's and do not ask antything else, except your signature on the entry card. it has a nice beach (but i do not advice anyone to swim in the marmara sea, since it is the most polluted deposit of water in turkey) a very nice covered pool accompanied with a big jacuzzi and sport facilities at the basement floor, and an outdoor pool. it is a 5* hotel, but 4* according to my rating. rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and well lit, especially the ones with a terrace.

you can take your gal to this hotel, which is not far away from istanbul, or you can find girls (mostly ee girls) at many discos and bars rep001tered in the neighborhood in kumburgaz. the scene is very similar to the bars and pubs in aksaray, whereas the rules and behaviour of waiters are mor polite in kumburgaz. kumnurgaz may be a good choice for mongering during summer season. in the previous years, the police and local gendarme were putting too much pressure by frequent night and day attacks against prostitution in this elite (!) summer town. but pimps and hookers always find a way out.

you have to go to kumburgaz by a rented car (if you already have rented one-do not rent a car to go there only-it is not so far), or by taxi. if you have a turkish speaking friend, he can send you by public transport, but how you'll get back is another question. but be careful, the taxis can charge serious fares for that way (about 40-45 km.)

It has been a while since my last report but I have been viewing the progress of the Istanbul chapter of fellow mongers with utter delight. I have quite a build-up of stories but my most recent one takes the cake, so here it is.

I've decided to try Altin Isik Hotel ( the disco is named Balance ) adjacent to Serenda on Thursday night.

Balance Disco is actually much more spacious and comfortable than Bacardi and Serenda with its two floors and a much larger dance floor. What's more, the tables are arranged in such a way that you've got the opportunity to sit surrounded by girls to whom you can chat to a certain extent.

The disco is open till 4-5 a.m and the entrance fee is 15 bucks for the weekdays and 18 bucks for the weekends just like Serenda, which allows you to have a drink, so no need to spend anymore.

Here is my plan for you .

1.-) Even if you are going to Antalya, you'll have to change planes in Istanbul, so fly to Istanbul first. Stay at Holiday Inn. It is a mere $80 per night. You can make use of all the facilities of its neighboring sister Crown Plaza Hotel (pool, health club, etc.) without having to pay for the more expensive Crown Plaza Hotel. Visit the Sultanahmet Region - Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yerebatan Cistern, Topkapi Palace Museum. At night, dine at Vogue restaurant located on the terrace of BJK Plaza at Akaretler-Beshiktash district. Ask the taxi driver to get you there. You will pay around $85 for two. It will be an unforgettable dinner I promise you. It has one of the most fabulous night views in the world. You can eat a piece of wood with pleasure by that view. 2.-) Alternative 1: For relaxation, go to Kalkan. Kalkan is a small town between Dalaman and Antalya, about 80 km. from Dalaman. It has the most clean water in the Mediterranean Sea. Kalkan town has many beautiful restaurants. Ask the hotel reception about places to visit around. There are places tyou must see. Renting a car or Jeep is very cheap in Kalkan.

3.-) Alternative 2 : Choose any of the small hotels in Antalya - Kaleici region or, Kemer Region at www.nisanyan.net

I would recommend you to stay at Kaleici, it is the middle of the town, near to historical places, restaurants, etc. But if you would like to stay at a holiday village, go to Kemer.
you will like both of them.

At the Kaleici, prefer one of the hotels with a pool.

At Kemer, you do not need a pool, since the whole town is a beach.

If you go to Antalya, you should book your flight to Antalya airport. You can go by taxi to Kaleici. But do not forget that Kemer is 65 km. from the airport. Rent a car fropm the airport. The Plaza Hotel is not in Beyoglu, but it's located about 2km from Akmerkez on the European side.

In such places the going rate is a minimum of 100bucks for 2-3 hrs, but it's still negotiable.

James Joyce Bar is much more interesting after midnight and especially at weekends.

I am watching the twirl created by the "$600" incident. I would like to share my 2 cents on the topic.

I would like to thank Yavuz Hayat and Andre Alfani for their comments. I had the feeling they read and reacted to my posting in the spirit I intended. However, being called "unaware or unconfident (actually it's spelled inconfident)" by Vegamars was not called for.

In every market, there are different price points. And usually the quality differential do not justify the price differential. Think about German cars (Mercedes, BMW) and Japanese cars. I was in Istanbul a few weeks ago, but I don't have much new to add. The whole "scene" in Yenikapi/Aksaray seems up and running after earlier clampdowns by LE, but the authorities are still pretty tough on overly conspicuous activities. Unlike reported earlier, Serenda and Altin Isik Hotels are not compelling or disturbing in any way in terms of annyance caused by waiters or hotel staff.

Moreover, the maximum duration time including Fridays and Saturdays is 2-3 minutes for check-in.

You can easily meet a girl at the lobby without having to pay the entrance fee.

Compared to Orange Hotel, both hotels have more spacious rooms as far as I can observe.

As a foreigner you'll not face any problems for bringing in girls, as long as you're not staying in a 2-star hotel.

If you wanna be totally confident, just go for a 4-star or 5-star hotel.

The cheapest and most appropriate 4-star hotel is the Mercure Hotel in Beyoglu that's just a 5-minute drive from Aksaray and right across the Irish Bar, James Joyce.

As Vegamars says, the location of this place is very good, very easy walking distance to Taksim and short cab ride to Aksaray. Needless to say the Hotel was guest friendly.

I stayed at the Hilton about 2 weeks ago. My business prevented me from really pursuing action on Aksaray. On my last night I walked around Beyoglu and some Russian guy tried to talk me into going to a club. I declined. Later, on my way, back, he saw me again, and I declined. He then proposed that he send a girl to my room for $300M TL for 3 hours. I talked him down to $150M TL.

other 5 stars close to the airport are polat reneissance, cinar hotel and the holiday inn crowne plaza, which are standard 5 stars with no extra points except being near the seaside.

ther are many other 5 stars in istanbul, which you may find at any web site. but tatstes and prefeences may differ. the above are recommended according to our tastes.

as for the girls - just be patient and read back as much pages as you need to find all the information you will need, including phone numbers, addresses, even pictures of places to go and the girls to choose from...

I have no concrete information from the restaurateurs of Aksaray, but in the past Seranda was always closed for Ramadan. As for the rest it was sort of 50/50, but with the more conservative line that the government and the city of Istanbul have begun to take it may be tighter this year. At any rate, during Ramadan one has to be more careful not to offend religious people's sensitivities, which also means that many hotels stop renting by the hour, that there is less overt action, and that the one there is generally starts later at night.

Big Pub is located on the main street of Aksaray, but as mentioned before, the atmosphere is not so appealing as Serenda, Irmak, Bacardi, Balance,etc. both in terms of the quality of the girls and the conditions such as the design, music and so on..

The prices are reasonable, but the place is so packed up that you've gotto share your table with strangers and it's not so easy to get in touch with the girls and to invite to your table for a drink, which is a must to talk about the details.

If you can manage the rest is easy as you'll be lead by the girl for the hotel selection nearby and so forth..

For the best selection out of a large range of selection Serenda and Balance discos are the most ideal locations, as you can talk to as many girls as you wish without the necessity of having to make any extra costs other than the entrance fee of 15 bucks that covers your first drink.

You can easily bring in all kinds of girls when staying at five-star hotels like Conrad, The Marmara, Hilton, Ciragan-Kempinski, Ritz, Ceylan, Dedeman, Plaza, Hyatt-Regency, Princess, Movenpick, etc. in Istanbul without having to deal with the hassle of registration..

Over the weekend I went to see this famous autoshow. On the way back I wanted to show Irmak to my friend and decided to have a sip - no action.

I have been away for a while and when I came back, I checked the forum to see - frustration !

I sure did RTFF before f%&king coming to Istanbul, thats not the point and yes I was there for short period this time but will spend 2-3 months in Jan-March so understanding where the action is makes my selection of the hotel for that visit more enjoyable as you definitely can understand.

I am no tourist guide and dont know the city before so advice before reports just is the way to go for me.

I'll get back to reporting once back in Istanbul..
