Excellent postings Lego Maniac and don't worry about some of the negativity you have received. In the end it comes down to personal choice and if you see something that you want then you must put your own price on it. Perhaps that is why you have had such good times with the choices you made, because you did not put them through the slightly degrading experience of having to barter over their own bodies.
As for dressing down in Kiev that is something you do not need to do. In this town smart casual is the order of the day and the Kiev girls most definitely do notice a guys clothes, in particular his shoes for some reason or other. So get rid of the sneakers and wear some stylish Gucci loafers with maybe a nice pair of Armani trousers. Leave the sneakers and jeans to the millionaire Rock Stars desperate to make some pretentious liberal left social statement.
Ok Lego, here's my report. It's been pointed out recently that the board doesn't need posts from newbies such as ourselves and that all the information on where to go is right there. Perhaps I'm just not much good at reading comprehension but I've read a lot of the board and, while its been an invaluable source of background infromation, outside of River Palace there's so many conflicting views that I still don't know where to go. So my post will be part information, part question, feel free to criticise, I'm here to learn.
On the payment debate it appears these $300 rates that Lego is paying are now resulting in enjoyable all night encounters, at least on the repeats. I really can't begrudge someone wanting to enter the experience in a positive frame of mind if they can afford it.
I've been travelling through Europe for 9 weeks now. Visited 13 different countries and in terms of female beauty my subjective experience has been that Kiev is the best so far. Haven't been to Russia yet though.
I was in Thailand recently which was much cheaper in every respect and easier but the quality does seem higher in Kiev to me. I'm probably comparing apples and oranges here though and I'll certainly be back in Thailand in the future.
First night I had no choice, straight to River Palace. Despite having read Lego's warning I still had a warm up drink or two downstairs. Chatted to a ridiculously happy (good on him) German chap for a bit while listening to the cover band make a much better attempt at 'Venus' than Bananarama ever did. Not a great deal to see down here apart from one of the dancing girls but eyelid fluttering was about all I was going to get there.
Outside of this my experiences of the first two nights have already been covered by Lego so I'll fast forward to night 3, friday night. We met at Decadence house for dinner which was good and not as expensive as I would have expected. We'd reserved a table at the night club upstairs. This place was amazing. The women were just stunning. Unfortunately though I had no idea what was going on. Getting plenty of eye contact from tables peopled exclusively by women but I get that at home too if I dress up a bit and, like the baltic states, girls in general here seem a little happier to hold your gaze. There were girls dancing by themselves, it looked promising but I just didn't get the impression anyone was going to be easily available to a short term english speaking traveller such as myself. Lots of guys here too but probably still balanced towards women, quite a local crowd. When we stood up to leave though I noticed all these girls looking over. I was wondering if we should have stayed and seen how the night progressed. A Ukranian guy I spoke to today said, somehwat bitterly, that Decadence was full of rich kids impressing each other with their jewelry so maybe we didn't miss out on anything. Has anyone on the board had any success there?
So off to River Palace again. When we arrived, around midnight I think, it wasn't as good as the previous night but gradually more girls started filtering in. I'm not much of a dancer but I do appreciate a girl who can dance and there was a blonde on the dance floor that was doing some great things. Dancing in a sexy but playful manner. Lego sent one of his female companions over to summon her. Not much english but she was very cute. We sat there for a while, half conversing. She pointed out the hottest girl in the fashion parade on the stage and I had to agree. The issue of money came up and she suggested US $300 for two hours. I said $200, she shook her head and said $300. When I ventured $200 again she said with surprising eloquence and a big smile, 'I dance. You think.'
Now I'm not poor but, for me at least, this isn't an infinitely sustainable way to be living my life. If I pay US $300 on top of all my other expenses regularly enough I'll wind up on the street in my skivies trying to sell my shoes. Hell of a lot more that the US $100 I was paying for all night with the most beautiful girl in the house in Thailand as well.
So I really did want to pay less but she'd pretty much told me she wasn't leaving right then for that money and she was happy to keep dancing and showing herself off. And in my subjective opinion she was one of the best girls in the house. So we agree, or I submit, to the $300 price and we're away. She was in a word fantastic. Lot of fun, she kept babbling away in Russian. To even the score I spoke some French since she didn't understand any of that and just occasionally we got some sense out of each other in English. When our time was up she asked if I had anything to eat. If I'd been able to deliver room service I think she would have stayed on. Alas I'm staying in an apartment and could only offer her some fruit. I suggested we get dinner tonight and got her phone number before she kissed me again and left.
Now though my Ukranian friend tells me (without me having volunteered any of this story or prices) that the women at River Palace are lazy, greedy, drug users and the best ones want 2 to 3 hundred Euro! He says that you are better off going to clubs such as Arena disco, Caribbean Club, Shooters and waiting till later where you will get more for less. These are his words, not mine, and for all I know he's never been to any of these places.
So I guess I'm confused again.

I fully agree with you and have the same views about our "monger deals". I always feel uncomfortable discussing about money and what can or cannot be done. When I get a request I take it or leave it without any bargain. The hottie will propose you a lower price later if she is really interested. I pay a lot of attention to the chemistry and the way the girl touches me in order to understand if she will be hot. Level of conversation is also important, as good sex and fantasy are upscale with bright and funny girls. If I feel the "connection" I will go on, otherwise I stop, even in front of a 10 model (never went below a 9 or a robust 8 anyway).

My final 2 cents... I think that the big value of this forum comes from sharing experiences, tips, and views about our "hobby". I appreciate LM's reports as they are honest and show how he behaved... I think also that he has thrown more money than needed, but definitely it is HIS money, and market prices will grow anyway notwithstanding him, because of the overall economic cycle, the increasing number of rich guys in Kiev and the goals of Kiev's hotties (they are no more looking for surviving but for the top of italian and french fashion!). We are all free to disagree, but this doens't mean we have to assault people that think in another way.

First all, whether good or bad experiences I like to read all reports, it gives a different perspective on things.
I'd like to toss a few musing on things, doesn't mean anything other then my opinions.
First off one of the major reasons why we p4p hounds used to go to places like EE is because the women are extremely attractive, very compliant and relatively inexpensive. Combine that with what used to be inexpensive accommodations and airfares (RT to Moscow from the East Coast of the US used to be around $400 in the mid 90's - 2 years ago you could stay in a western styled apartment in the center of Kiev for $50/night or 1k/month). Based strictly on p4p with the current pricing structure for the casual western tourist (women, meals, airfare, apartment) there is no reason why anyone would want to leave the US or Western Europe. You can get model quality women for $200-300/hr, better accommodations, service and food cheaper in the West. If you want to save up all year and blow your money living like a high roller go to Vegas – you will have a much better time. There are a few reasons why I could still see p4p guys going to places like Kiev or Moscow. First off the morality double standard is in full effect, as a male you can get rolling in the gutter drunk, have a new p4p girl every night and no one will think anything less of you. Second, I can understand why the 40-50+ set likes to go. A 50 year old guy dating a 20 year old girl is somewhat more accepted in this part of the world – notice how I said somewhat. And of course some people don’t like to play in their own backyard. For some going to another part of the world is somewhat liberating and allows them to assume another persona.
Was moved to a new apartment by my agent since I'd booked late and had to accept two seperate apartments. Rooms are nice enough but crappy building and the air conditioner is next to useless.
Went back to sleep and woke up early evening absolutely starving. No sight seeing today either I guess. Short walk to Arena City for dinner alone. My girl from last night is 'ill' apperently and wants to do dinner tomorrow. The menus at the sports bar and beer bar are interchangeable so I pick the beer bar since there are more people. As I wait for my food I'm half reading my novel, half looking at this gorgeous tall (but not too tall) slim brunette eating with her boyfriend, sugar dady, whatever. She keeps flicking looks at me and smiling to ensure I'm fully appreciating what I'm not going to get.
After dinner I remember to use Arena City's toilet facilities which feature actual running water! Go back to apartment to change and discover that my apartment again has this technological marvel. Immediately I fill the 10 litre container to the brim. Who knows how long this luxury will last.
End up walking half way back to Arena looking for a taxi so I go on to Club 112 downstairs at Arena City. Lots of tourists, lots of girls. There's a reasonably cute one from upstairs that comes down to order a drink right next to me. I'm about to talk to her when another girl interjects herself. Disengage from that conversation quickly but not quickly enough and the sort of cute one is back upstairs with her girlfriends. Plenty of girls at the bar to talk to but I'm not really into any of them and not feeling particularly sociable so I finish my drink and leave. There's a 15 minute wait to get into the Arena disco and its already past midnight so I jump in a cab and ask him to take me to Shooters. He tells me its a student place and not really a good place to meet girls and suggests I have a look at a strip club called Penthouse. Why not? I'm feeling pretty lazy so maybe I should just sit and watch.
The women that operates the brightly lit, wood panneled, elevator here is about 60 years old, absolutely tiny and wearing a bell hops outfit. I feel like I'm in a David Lynch movie. Strip club was ok. Had a reasonably attractive girl with very good English trying to convince me to take her home for US $300. I'm feeling flighty though so when she disappears out the back I pay up and leave.
Turn up at River Palace at about 2:30 am and there's still some talent. There's a girl here that's been smiling at me for the last two nights but I've always been distracted so I call her over for a drink. US $200 to come home with me. She stays for about three hours. My best experience yet for the trip. I've still got running water. I'm in love with Kiev again.

Lots seem to be happening!
First of all, ART 112 is very much open. I was there Thursday and Saturday.

People attune to what's going on know that the clubs either make payments to the police or they make payments to the Mafia - if it was me I'd pick the police too. Just the cost of doing business, as it is in most of the world. Heck, in my puritanical provincial small city of Boston members of the local PD were recently busted for running an illegal strip club. And this is where with a little overtime rank and file members can make 80-100k/year. Just think how tempting it is to the cops making $100-$200/month.

Meaning that police need food to survive also. Some are more hungry then others, but you should still pay for them to fill thier bellies full of steak and vodka.
I see something never change over there. One hundred years of corruption does not change over night or maybe even in a generation. I have had to bribe goverment officals many times in during my stay there (five to fifteen years ago). No one can erase the mentality of the russian people in a few short years.

I never bothered to confirmed it but I have been told by quite a few people that streetwalkers hang out at the top of (the hill) Shevcheko Blvd.Now many street walkers hang out near Ukraina building. You must go down the hill. These gilrs are different than in Prague. Whereas unsafe in Prague, safe in here. You can find a student sometimes. Rates will be $60/1 to 2 hours.

In this unfortunate lower class of Ukrainian society, AIDS, tuberculosis and other serious diseases are rampant and a problem that may well seriously affect the rest of this nation within 10 years.
If you want to pay $60 or so, then call the Kiev Post agencies, it is safer and better.
If you want an SW, then I suggest you also first make sure you have arrangements in place for health insurance that covers AIDS treatments.

My concern with street walkers is that the foringers that come there for sex of for other porpouses drive up the price or pussy. Once might be a novelty to pay top dollar, but to do so over and over again does nothing more then drive up these prices. If you stick to the center, you will not see the real dregs of society here.
The ladies who you think are "streetwalkers" who inhabit the center are not by any means the hardcore SWs who inhabit New York, Paris London or other city center. In Kiev they are mostly short-time pros or semi-pros. They pay off the militia and wander the streets generally unmolested. They make the money they need to and then disappear.
I even suspect that they are also part of many local agencies who cater only to locals, getting picked up and going to another sauna or apartment when the call is made on their mobile.

"Mexico" on "Kreschatyk" close to Independence Square is a not so expensive, the drinks are not too expensive and the price for all night is 300 euro. I have had some gems pulled from there. However, the last time I was there (in July) the quality of girls was very bad.

Your math is way off, I am sorry to say.
C, A, and L are all sold openly in most pharmacy kiosks and stores and almost everywhere, not just in the center.
You can buy single tabs as well as packages of 4, I believe, been a long time since I bought some. Viagra is the cheapest at about 300 grivna per pack of 4 to about 500 grivna for C. L is somewhat in between.
That being said, the math is $60 per package for V or about $15 per tab to $100 per package for C or about $25 per tab.
These prices are for the actual manufacturer's products. You can also get so-called generics or similar made products at much lower prices.

As for the availability, I've only ever used central pharmacies which all seem to stock them, so I don't know about any outside of the center. I am sure most pharamacies in the city stock the stuff. Thanks allAs for how they stay in the USA, it's the same as with any other illegal immigrant, and there is a vast network of Eastern European women here to help them out. They hide, lie, and manipulate the system when necessary. With numbers at least in the hundreds here in Memphis alone of illegal Mexican immigrants, one or two Ukrainian girls are going to be well below the radar. Tennessee even passed a law a few years ago that allowed illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses and the resulting lines at DMV were incredible.
The fiance visa is practically guaranteed. If you jump through all the hoops, it WILL be issued. However, it takes a few months, and any mistake on your part will restart the process. For those of you, who have never been to Kiev or who have not been here for a long time, a few information.
The Ukraine is a poor country, but do not forget - Kiev is not the Ukraine. You will find here more Bentleys than in London and more Ferraris than in Milan. Prices are getting higher and higher every day.
Examples:
When I arrived here a few months ago, the prices for a 100 square meters flat in a normal area was about 2000 USD per month. Now you have to pay a minimum of 3.500 USD. They only give you contracts for max. 12 months as they will even make that sum higher.
Food:
In general going out for dinner was cheap here. In the meanwhile we have reached western european levels and it is getting more and more expensive. Nevertheless, there are still areas where you can go to and have good food for a few euro.
Girls:
Why always going to places everybody knows? Ok, RP is ok, but... everyone knows that area so the prices are much higher than anywhere else. Sure, Arena is a nice place, but the girls there know that most so called tourists know these areas only and know what to ask for... Why not going to a normal bar or pub and look around there?
Transport:
Although taxi drivers have to switch on the taxameter, they will not do it. They will tell you a lot of nice stories about whatever. Insist on the taxameter or give him a maximum of 60% of the money he asks for. That is more than enough.

Forget it!
Salaries:
Still, most people earn almost nothing. A truck driver earns 350 hrv a month (about 50 euro), a waitress maybe 700 Hrv. Policemen have about 1.500 Hrv, teachers a bit less. People working for the government have about 2.000 Hrv, secretaries about 2.500 Hrv. So whatever they ask you for, it is much more than they earn. Expensive cars you will only find in the center of the town, in other areas you find old western cars or ladas.

Inet info is seriously out of date re: airport, customs and the like.
No problems, 15 minutes at immigration, customs not an issue.
Booked an apartment (sort of last minute, my plans had changed) from ukr-apartments.kiev.ua as they had the best decent apartment at a decent price. Very nice place on Lva. Tolstoho, zero complaints, $110/day and worth it IMHO.
Taxis: Well, what can I say?, found some good ones and some who I had to laugh at. They were just fishing for dumbsh*ts. I did find one really nice young guy, very reasonable prices, waited while we shopped/ate or whatever and was pathetically pleased with a small tip. Used him for three days... no problems.

Some more sugestions.
1. Exchange, it's everywhere... the best rates are at the central market (Bessarbski Rinok) at the end of the K. By the way if you use USD, remember, like in Russia, to bring new or nearly new notes (in any case with big faces!). Same fore Euros, try to avoid 200 and 500 notes.
ATM are safe and good if you use them located in banks! there is one on the K. fasade of the Rinok, took out a lot of times, no problems.
Never use airport changes, you usually loose 10%.
If somebody asks you UAH or USD or EUR, pay him (or her :) ) in what asked, otherwise you loos a lot in change.
2. It's cheap. on Kiev Star 25 minutes are approx 3 USD. In many places, by the way from the apartment renters you can usually rent a phone for 3 USD a day.
3. Of course you should get in dowtown Kiev, as said, for 20 UAH, and in the new city (other side of the river, for 40... but... when you are going to put hundreds there and hundreds on other places... you can afford 10 or 20 UAH more...
If the guy just ask incredible sums just go to another, there is no taxi queue!

I think that the chaepest place I found in EE was in a little city in Tatarstan, East European Russia: 200 RUR / 8 USD, or so, per hour... meaning 80 or more LT.

I do not know from Ukraine, but, the easiest way is to fly from Ukraine to DME Domodedovo (no flights at the moment) or SVO (but you have to change termainal, and it might waste a lot of time, and then to Kazan. Otherwise you can get night trains from Moscow... very comfortable... in first class.
You can also go between Kiev to Kazan by train, with stopover (few hours) and station (Kievskaya to Kazanskaya) change in Moscow... all in 25-29 hours.

The construction of the new boat is going to take longer than estimated therefore the River Palace will continue in its present format for at least another year. There are a lot of new girls hanging out there at the moment, unfortunately most of them rank between 5 to 7's.

Part One: Shopping for Sex
It was the breast of times, in was the *****st of times, it was the age of womanizing, it was the age of foolishness, it was the Spring of hope, it was the Fall of 2007… okay, okay, I will just get on with my tale of chasing tail in two cities – Kyiv and Moscow!
This was a long overdue trip, which originally I had thought would occur about a year ago but was twice rescheduled. The downside of that was the many torturous months of anticipation. I had envisioned her keeping me warm in remote places or on long train rides to inspect facilities. Now the first time I ask her to join me on one of these trips she chickens out.
