Here's the deal about Odessa. For 9 months of the year it's a fairly inactive place. From September to May it's a buyers market. Take a look a the photoline on Mamba. Lot's of massage and sex offerings there at the moment. As soon as summer comes. Wow. It's a different story. Great fun and full of people partying. However, many factors then work against you. Lots of competition is one, also, girls prefer to party than the usual dating scene. Prices for P4P girls increase.

Somewhere to stay in Odessa and party. Odessa gets very full so book a good apartment in advance. Common thinks to do:
- guided walking tour through Odessa (but only in Russian, English only with private guide)
- visit the catacombs (also only in Russian)
- visit the Delphinarium at the beach, which is also nice daytime hangout spot, but the water is not clean.
- visit a opera show.
- go to beach at Arcadium, at daytime Ibiza and Itaka are beach hang-out spots, the entry to the beach is free, but a chair cost at least 80 UAH.
If you stand the in front of the opera, go down the street heading to the harbour on the left hand side there is after 200-300 meter a public tourist office. At least they should speak English and should be able to asist you with booking something. Apart from that, I noticed a nice Biergarten and a cafe with really good handmade chocolate (try the melted chocolate) at the park on Deribasovskaya street.

As there were only a few Westerners in the past, you might be the only one around this year. But the hassle of the visa and flight via Moscow or SPb makes it rather complicated.

A train ticket from Lviv to Simferopol (and return) is about 300 UAH (30 $). There are less tourists than last year, of course. And there are just flights from Moscow to Simferopol. But even last year just 5% of all tourists used the plane to come to the Crimea. Most of the tourists travel by train, bus and car.

How far is Koblevo from Odessa, is it worth a day and overnight trip? I am guessing it's happening every day not just weekends. Koblebo is almost in the middle between Odessa and Nikolaev. Cheap trip by bus, about 1 h-1. 5 h. When going in the morning from Odessa, not so much outbound traffic.
Busses start at the Main bus terminal, or, even better, at the smaller one close to railway station. There, buses start at least about once an hour during daytime.
Yes, nightlife all the week, as the place is a pure holiday area.
Koblevos bus station is located at main road Odessa-Nikolaev, so a bit distant from beach / holiday area. Take a micro bus or taxi for a 5 min. Ride.
Quality of water and sandy beach not the best, but there is also an aquapark. Simple accomodation.
So you will find more "normal girls" in this typical "Russian style" beach area, which means, lot sof small shops / bars or even merrygorounds.
As accomodation might be not so easy to be found "on the spot", you should go there early during daytime. One night stay preferred, to join the night life.

Yes, you are right, this might be possible. As UA-authorities use this special term instead of "RF-visa", not to officially accept Crimea to be Russian territory.
Yes, most likely, you are correct.
Note: The hassle with visa for RF is not to get them (you can buy using various agencies on the web), but the local registration, you have to do yourself, in case you do not book a hotel.
Having lived several years in SPb in the past, this procedure was handled via my local agency in SPb. However, last year, October, for my short visit in SPb, I bought a visa from German agency, promising, registration can be done in any post office. Which is the official status, BTW. However, in whole St. Ptersburg, there is only one post office, the Central one, who really does it. Took 4 h in summary, to be accompanied by my local friend, I was staying with.
So, whoever wants to go to Yalta, for example, and books a room in Oreanda, Hotel Yalta etc. Is well off. , when buying a visa on the web.
But will have serious problems to do the registration himself, when just trying to find some cheap accomodation "on the spot".
To be fair, as you have to fly thru RF anyway, you might register in Moscow or SPb when passing thru to Simferopol. Good method, when you have enough time for a stop over.
SPb always is worth a visit. Great city.
I was always a great fan of Crimea during summertime, but now is not the right time: lack of "devushkas", and visa hassles. And lack of "Z" this year.
Thanks Reiner. Looks like we will check out Koblevo for a day. Generally Odessa is quiet on weekdays, even in normal times. Weekends beaches are packed and Arkadia is banging. Sun-Wed is slow. Central bars are ok, Morgan bar in the Center is a happening place on Mondays. Weekends is really your best times, too many girls too much eye candy, hard to concentrate on one.
Re Crimea, I am not sure what the hype is all about. It's really not one town there, it's very spread out, lots of cheezy discos and generally poor type of local tourist. I wouldn't go unless you know exactly where you are going and with whom.

That means nightlife is very poor on summer there. So I am still not sure where to go. Just for a one week of holiday splitting your days between 3 different cities isn't a good idea. So my brain says stick to Koblevo and my heart wants to go Odessa. I also know what I will find Odessa. I have been in Kiev before.

As I find the earlier posts, although not exactly wrong, but somewhat cathegorical, I felt I wanted to contribute to the discussion.
As for my part, I have been to Odessa several times the last year, and visited most of the clubs in Arkadiya as well as in the city center.
It may be true things are not what they used to be 15 or even 10 years ago, but from my own personal experiences you can definitely have a good time in Odessa and Ukraine still.
Especially at the moment with the grivna being at record low rates. Yes, the clubs are not for the local blue collar worker for sure, a drink is 80 grivnas or something, adjust it to the real wages in Ukraine.
And you have some incredibly expensive drinks.
The girls that visit the clubs are the same as in the rest of the world. Many just want attention and some temporary fun, but some actually want to find a decent man, and you can still do the local day game as I usually do, by talking to girls.
In the stores and in the street. If you want partying and fun Odessa is great in the summer, although Kiev overall is a better alternative for this, easier to pull one night stands, more working girls etc, but like I said the summer is something else.
If you want to find a girl for something serious, Nikolaev or even Dnepropetrovsk or Kharkov is better.
I stayed at Chernoye More and Chernoye More Privoz as well as booked apartments, and both outside the hotel and in the clubs (Palladium for example) working girls have approached me.
Last visit in April two girls asked for 2000 zloty after going with me from Palladium to my apartment.
I would not pay too much attention to cultural differences and mentality. In my opinion people are pretty similar and have the same wishes all over the world.

I think another important point here is flight safety. I was just about to buy my ticket for Odessa and this Malaysian plane crash happened. Idiots thought that it was a cargo plane. Normally I don't have flight fear but after all that, flying there can be too much stress. I guess flight ticket prices will also go up. Or down rapidly I am not sure. I don't think you'll get scammed, but I don't think P4 P is an option at strip clubs in Odessa if they make enough money from lap dances.

I was just trying to recover after a tired trip so I can already reply to you.
For me my first Odessa visit was one of the most full of fun trips. I had scored in the first night with a WG and with a Freebie on the third night. I had tons of Hugs french kisses and kiss on body. My lips were never free.
My third try with another freebie and it did not result positively.
About Koblevo, Miccheck can give you a more detailed info. I was also like you indecisive to get there or stay in Odessa and I decided to stay and now I think it was definitely true decision. Miccheck has gone there on Thursday and I have talked with him on the phone and he told me that place is a little bit dead.
I think for normal times Koblevo can be a good option especially for the races that Ukrainians not so positive. (like Turks.). We really have a bad reputation in there.
But recently because of war even Odessa has half full in reservations or maybe less so Koblevo and other places are just dead.
We also had good time with Miccheck in Zazighalka Strip Club on a Monday night. I wish to check the new strip club Office also if I had time which has lots of flyers around the city.
For me the strip clubs there are well enough to spend time in. It's possible to take strippers out for a price of 2000-3000 Grivna but sex isn't guaranteed. Private dance is 350 grivna which is quite satisfactory. One of the girls make me cumm in priv. Dance. Cover charge is 150 grivna and lady drink was about 50-75 grivna and beers was 50 grivna if I am not wrong.
Also we have checked Captain Morgan and it has 10 people at about 2 o clock we have seen 2 fat WG inside.

It's 50 to 70 grivna to get there with taxi and it's not easy to find a bus Deribasovskaya to Arkadia.
Even if you have found, you will travel in standing.
I advice you to rent a high quality apartment because girls are impressed of this.

I have never felt unsafe because my hometown was away of the neighbourhood the protests take place.
If you don't throw yourself just in the middle of the things you are always safe everywhere.

I am visiting again soon, I found a great deal at the palladium hotel, thought why not it has a nightclub right there with free entry, the suite looks nice, and its not far from the centre.
I have RTFF going two of years back I couldn't find any information about odessa hotels.
Any one knows if they are girl-friendly, do I have to pay extra for unregistered guest?

There is indeed a lot of confusion around the exchange rate. I am regular in Odessa (do not know what the situation in Kiev is) but for before going rate for 1. 5 - 2. 5 hours with a pro from Mamba who will visit you was 800 grn plus taxi which with the old exchange rate (8 grn=1 usd) was about 100 USD. Girls are still available for 800 grn but other are requesting the same 100 USD which is now about 2,400 grn. I guess the girls are still asking the 800 grn as local mongers are not paying in USD.
Odessa really became a cheap place to visit but maybe it will change soon as the restaurants, hotels, clubs and girls get their prices adjusted to the new realities. Just take a look at booking. Com to see how cheap you can get a hotel room in some hotels but others got a lot more expensive. I was in my favorite restaurant on a Monday and they never adjusted the prices in the menu meaning that I got a starter, big steak and chesecake plus 2 beers and coffee for 440 grn which is as little as 14 USD (a few weeks ago the exchange rate was 30 grn=1 usd but now dropped to abiut 24 grn=1 usd) as this was a really bargain I came again the next day but now there was a menu card with adjusted prices and whilst my favorite steak was 220 grn before it was 600 grn.
I see that the prices in the bars and clubs are about the same BUT imported alcohol is the triple price now in grn but about the same as before when counting in USD.
A few words about the clubs in Arkadia and the forthcoming summer: It is true as Crimea is gone Odessa is the only really beach resort in Ukraine now. However, a large part of the visitors were from Russia (and some of them girls who where looking for financing of their parties and vacation in return of services) and I think there will not be many Russians visiting this year.
Another point: Security. It is really a good time to visit Ukraine as you can get a good bargain due to the fluctuation in the exchange rates BUT security is a real issue. In Odessa bombs are maybe not "common" but at least weekly events, political active peoples apartments, army recruitment offices, cargo trains and also the branches of "PrivatBank" is a target (The owner of PrivatBank is a rich man running his own army fighting against the rebels in the East to regain control over his coalmines.) and most scary for me was one time about a month ago when I was leaving and waiting in the airport and suddenly we were evacuated from the terminal as a suspicious device was found. F. Hell. It turned out to be a real bomb but it was placed at one of the private jets always parked on the field and also belonging to one of the olegags. Security is an issue to think about.

Got to my hotel around 2 pm, checked in went for a little sleep and got up around 6 pm, outside the hotel found a taxi to take me to the centre and to my surprise the taxi driver was a lady. I have never seen a woman taxi driver in odessa before, any way got in the taxi 10 second later the lady taxi driver asked me if I would like to have a nice girl or if I want a massage. As I was going to meet with one of my mama contacts I said thanks but no thanks. Got to the centre got some coffee waited for my mama contact for 20 min and then called. She told me she thought the meeting was the next day. Well called the lady taxi driver back and toke her offer, she maid a phone call and drove to a small street near the port and parked there for about three min. Then came this very cute girl got in the car, and as it turned out she speaks very good english. Back to the hotel she told me 800/ H plus 100 for taxi, I asked if she could stay longer and she said she is busy, well she spent little over an hour and left, good service too.
I went to check the club around midnight wasn't impressed, left few min latter. Ordered two girls for massage, they arrived 35 min later got very good 2 hours massage with two girls (they were above average looking and better service than looks). Damage was 1200 each for 2 hours.

Web sites (top model mamba and the rest) are fine but you never get the photo you see. Mamba is becoming very strange place I had very long conversation exchanged phone number and agreed for a meeting that never happened and I also had a 3 lines conversation ended in my bed an hour later. I tried being very nice and gentlemen and I tried this conversation:

- $70 fro two hours with anal.

So I guess there is no mamba standard or technique its what ever luck you have.

Regards.It was the Palladium, the ratio is almost 1/1. Prices are cheap (a draft beer is 70 UAH), but if you are alone you would have no choice other than standing at the bar or pay $$$ to have a table. Standing on the bar means you are far away from any action or contact. Most of the girls seemed to be either with some one. If you are a smoker then it becomes quite funny. You can only smoke at a table or standing near the stairs, if you are at the bar you can smoke hookah but not tobacco (go figure). Although it was the weekend the place was almost empty around midnight.

I have stayed in Deribesovskaya and it was a lot of fun (I have seen a few Pitons, some rabbits and a lion) but I must prefer to stay in Arcadia because in day time I spend in Ibiza Beach Club and at night in Western Club.
It's 50 to 70 grivna to get there with taxi and it's not easy to find a bus Deribasovskaya to Arkadia.
Even if you have found, you will travel in standing.
I advice you to rent a high quality apartment because girls are impressed of this.

Between these time periods you want to take a rest or get a shower or change clothes in your hotel room. So you will have to go from city center to Arcadia in daytime and then at night totally two times. This is time consuming and it is a cost. Of course you can take the buses which are very cheap but they are always busy and you have to travel standing. Therefore it is a better choice to stay in Arcadia.
