Sure you guys will attack me for saying this, but this post is so pathetic, I couldn't have dreamed up a more ridiculous attempt at mongering if I tried as hard as possible to write the most inept loser for getting laid.

I was in Dixie Club 2 nights in a row about a year ago. My feeling was that no sex was on offer in this club, except that one stripper was open to maybe meet me on her day off. Perhaps everything has changed? When I was there, the club had only 2 strippers, the rest were go-go girls. Nik as well as most provinces suck for p4p. Even little villages have town hooker but does that mean we should all go there? I spent time in nik a few times 3 yrs ago and it is pretty boring. Thanks for the info. FYI, I was in Dixie House over Thanksgiving. Saw the menus, but was not offered anythhing besides the 2 dances in private room. Girl was awesome, fresh, attentive, friendly, believable, spoke English, and was at least an 8. She told me that there was no sex from any of the girls in Dixie House. Well I visited Nikolaev again to spend some time with my GF and since she was giving me the cold shoulder I decided to take my contact up on his offer to find me a rental. Oh well, made the train at 7:45, bought pivko and cognac AND finally got back to Kyiv at 6am Sunday!

this is my first posting on this site, so i hope that i can help you out. i spent 10 days in simferopol and the crimean peninsula last summer. i didn't do much on the mongering side there, but can tell you about some of my general observations. first, if you get a rental car to drive around, get the insurance and use hertz and no one else. the reason for insurance is because of the roads and driving methods along the black sea. simferopol used to be a central point for the russian mafia. a great deal of the mafia personnel were coralled up 10 years ago and are now finishing up their sentances, so they are getting out of jail now. they will set traps that will cause you to have an accident with their vehicle and expect you to pay them off. your rental insurance company can take care of this. vehicle theft is also high in this area. i left my vehicle, a ford focus, alone in a well lit high traffic area for 15 minutes while i went into an internet cafe to check my e-mail. when i came out a guy was casing my vehicle. the reason for hertz, over avis (which i used) is that hertz has crimean (local) license plates versus avis which has license plates from kiev. i was pulled over twice during my trip for speeding, and was told that the reason for being pulled over is that they thought i was from kiev. the people in the crimean peninsula, especially the police, don't care for people from kiev. the police will stand along the side of the road with hand held radar detector that looks like an airport flashlight, and wave you over if they want to harrass you or give you a ticket.
simferopol is a buissness hub, so there isn't much to do there. i spent most of my time getting out and traveling along the black sea (yalta, sevastopol, and other cities). please feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

Which when you think about if you and a buddy and a few girls can't drink/eat $100 in a club you were probably better off staying home.

Change your time schedule. Holidays for universities start in July, so not so much choice in June.
Hotel Yalta is good place to stay, not the best hotel intown, but reasonable prices. They even have web site.
But in June no problem to find an appartment "on the spot". Different story in July/August.
Lot of advertisements on the roads to Yalta; many possibilities to book an appartment on the spot with the people at the central bus station in Yalta. Less commission to pay for the agents in the park besides "Hotel Oreander" (that is one of the best in town, NOT Hotel Yalta !). In Oreander top class pros, 200$+/h.
Depending upon how long you want to stay, the first 2-3 days in Hotel Yalta make a lot of sense, and then look for yourself in the city.
One hint: Do not go to the private beach of hotel Yalta. This beach is only for hotel guests, so you will miss the contact with the "simple female, local tourist".
Just go to the beach in front of Hotel Oreander; about 3km walk. There you will see the "Local Beauties". There are also the cheap bars/discos in the evening.
And the beach ist the best place for hunting, anyway.

Samara cost of lodging in provincial Russia is a big turn-off.
Flats in the center on the main street are over $100 per day now. But I don't care, gotta go for it. Might have to be the last time though. Couldn't pass up a free $1500 frequent flyer plane ticket. Took five fucking years to earn one!
Don't know if I'll want to pay that much again, on top of the high prices for apartments. We shall see.

You might be right, perhaps I’ve been here too long and my vision of reality is wrong. The point I have tried to make is $100 is a months earnings for many of the locals, (monthly overheads on 2 large apartments I pay for here run at a similar amount to $100(this would include gas, electric, water, security systems, services charge, cable tv, management fees and probably other bits and pieces what I have forgotten)). In this perspective you are talking big money for the locals, but compared to USA and Europe obviously not.
You might want to try some of the clubs/bars at Omega beach or Park Pabida (ïîáåäû)? Next time you are here in summer or alternatively the bars/clubs at Balaclava are very busy (upmarket, much Russian money here, but be very careful who you upset here).
Never been to Zeppelin but their ads are all over town, mile 44 (umashava) is good there is also a new club on the same block called ?45 (I think) also at Umashava there’s bar called Omega Bar which is very popular with the younger locals Friday/Saturday (all nights during summer). If you’re in need of some European type food in this area you have a new bar in the Poseidon shopping mall on the 2nd floor, take the elevator, turn left at the top walk into the kids amusement place and it’s directly on the right good women, Russian billiards and very good pool tables. The Playboy Club which you have previously mention is located within a 5 minute walk from The Yard Hotel on Êàìûñîâàÿ óï (fuck knows how you pronounce this one) might just have a look this weekend.
Easter soon which signals the start of the season here can hardly wait!

The place with the skating rink is "big pocket" Poseidon is on the same road just before you get to Omega Beach on the left.
That complex is a hoot. Did you ever get a chance to go into the other buildings? The labs and workshops look exactly the same when the place was abdandoned when the Soviet Union broke up.
They did/are doing a nice job with the Mall conversion. Lot of renter turnover tho.

Good place to be if you are in your 20s and got looks, pushing it if you are in your 30s. Best value is BYOB, chicks love the mention of the place. Accommodation wise: mostly private rentals in nearby towns, I believe $50-100 per night, not sure though since I had friends arrange everything. Getting there is tough, driving from Odessa took 6 or so hours on a very busy dangerous road (non divided highway). Probably best to fly. Lastly, the place is as far from P4P as it can be.

I wanted to implement it last summer, choosing Odessa as a base, but I didn't find and house for 3 or 4 weeks at a reasnonable price. and in august they only rent per day.

It is NOT a party town and just cannot be compared to Kiev because Ukrainians arrive to the capital every day from all over every place in their whole country to go there for a million different reasons. Plenty of Belorussians and Russians head to there also. So all the visitors plus the 3.5 million residents can support a healthy nightlife scene at several different levels from super gucci all the way down to pool halls and bowling.
But who the fuck is GOING to Kharkov, unless you wanna work in the cigarette or tractor factories. Oh my how exciting! The college kids have made a few restaurants around the university popular, but all those places close down by 10 o'clock. Mr.Cool dj that I sat next to on the train invited me to check out some klub in the suburbs. It was a medium size place with about 35 of Kharkov's beautiful people, guys wearing leather and looking tough, and sluttily-dressed 20-25 yeal old girls shaking their asses and swinging on go-go poles. The girls there seemed the type that did not get up the the morning to go to classes or to a job. They seemed like spoiled rich kids that stay out partying to 4 oclock every night and sleep til 4 in the afternoon every day. They also were not looking for a sponsor, though I only tried asking the hottest younger ones. I might have gotten lucky with the oldest cum-buckets of the bunch, but their pussies were smelly stretched out grayish shrimp paste. So I said fuck it.

Hi Prosal, long time no see buddy, how have you been? I haven't been to Brazil in awhile, although a red eye from NY is not bad. Went to Colombia twice this year already - helps my spanish! Qjump is making a slightly dangerous assumption that all girls will have sex if they agree to come back to his apartment. Just for information, you can reach Mariupol directly by plane if you fly trough Kiev. I actually moved there from Kyiv last March '07. Stayed until June. The main street is Kyivskaya. There is an ok hotel on thi street with a decent Armenian cafe. There is a fun open bar/cafe called 3-gooses. Many 20' somethings there. There are 2 sushi places that each have a disco, fun but young crowd.
I had some problems approaching the ladies (I usually go after the free ones), they were very cautious. Found out later that 6 months prior there was an American living there that favored young boys, definately made it harder.
There is a street. Mykalivskaya. That is perpendicular to the main st. And it is closed. I had good success there in the open kafes.
You will love the prices! Nice 2 room in center was $300/mo. Taxi almost anywhere. 8 grivna. Myself and 2 ladies in open kafe, 3 pivos, 1 cognac, meat & chesse plate, 4 wines and 2 big ice creams. 54 grivna!
Most at that time were making $100 or less per month!
They also have a Hydro-Park that has a nice bar/cafe and the beach is ok!

Nope! they get national passports at 16! ie ID passports! to travel etc its 18 without parents signature! so they are not legally a adult till 18!
They may look it but in the eyes of the law no they are not.

Very authentic local flavor. A 90 minute drive to the northwest from SIM or or SEV. Local girls and low class tourist girls range from average un-interesting up to sweet and lovely and up to ultra incredible. And unless you make the mistake of trying to talk to some drunk jealous Ukrainian guy's girlfriend, they are approachable and likely available. You can find accommodations, but they get booked in August so you might pay higher prices, and you may only get what's left over. Cold showers, very primitive, and not very cool at night, but it is authentic. Hot girls too.
You car would be safe parked inside the car park of the motel at night, and they will pay a guard to wacht them at night, but if you use it in the daytime to drive to some of the remote beaches, they will try to break in.
They can't help it, there's nothing else to do there.

I was supprised by the overall good street and real estate condition in Donetsk. Everybody appeared to have a fair standard of living. Hotel Atlas is situated centrally and it has attached to it sort of a Shisha-Bar/club. On weekends there is a DJ as well. People seem to take Atlas Bar as a base to start the nightlife. It is never crowded and certainly one of the higher class places in Donetsk night life for the mature Yuppie sort of crowd.
Overall I have never seen so many woman without men, They walk around in groups at night and daytime. Some of the girls were stunningly beautiful. During my 2, 5 day stay I have probably seen a handful drop dead beauties that would normally only gather in milano during fashion shows.
I was traveling alone and would say I had 0 chance to hook up with one of those girls. Nevertheless, I did have the feeling to get some attention again in disco clubs and bars. A feeling that I have been lacking in western european countries for quite some years (I am 40). To my impression girls are outnumbering guys by 70/30% in the clubs!
I have observed 3 Italian guys, all mid 40's, who have been trying to get into contact with girls at Atlas Bar and later in "Virus" disco club with great ambition. They approached the girls in a typically italian manner. It was funny to look at. The girls usually did not even look at them and would chase them away like nasty flies.
Being lazy of sitting alone and being ignored in the Atlas bar, I decided to check the local Stip Club scene. There is one Table dance club within the disco club "Chicago". It was open, but you can forget about this one.
Next was Club Africa, which is just a couple of hundred meters away from Hotel Atlas. That evening there were 3-4 girls dancing. They were nice to look at, however, I was not used to the habits in ukrainian table dance clubs. With each customer coming into the cub, the girls come on stage one after the other and have a little dance. After this dance, the girls come close to the customer and expect a tip of 20 Grivna. Since I did not have so much change (Grivna) with me I gave the girl only a 10 Grivna tip. She was so pissed off. That she actually returned the money to me. *LOL. Thereafter I decided to give another club a try. Close by there is the table dance club Tallin. Small club with something like 7 very good looking girls. Same procedure, all 7 girls would have a dance for you and will expect 20 Grivna tip. So before you actually chose one girl you will have to pay 140 grivna. Drinks are not expensive for european standards and you can sit with a girl and drink a bottle of champaigne. Advantage here is that the girls speak basic english. So I figured it is my only chance to at least speak to any ukrainian girl while being in Donetsk. I spent the evening with one 20 year old, beautiful girl from the suburbs of Donetsk. She was looking sort of like Cindy Crawford in young (really) and we had a nice time, including some private dances. All together I did spend something like 200 € that evening. The girls said they are not allowed to meet men outside the club, nor are they allowed to exchange numbers or any other contact information. They would get real trouble if they would do so.
When I came back to the Hotel at around 4. 00 am, I decided to have a look at Atlas Bar again. It was Saturday/Sunday night and there was a group of 3 girls and 1 guy sitting a little bit drunk in the clubs designer furniture.
When the girls saw me, they asked me to join them. Apparently they were a little bit pissed off by the guy they had with them but did not know that well.
One of the girls spoke basic english, so we could have some conversation. Finally I was sitting inbetween two beautiful ukrainian girls in their early 20's. Both perfectly styled, both equipped with Iphone and designer fashion, but apparently no professionals. The girl to my left sort of looked like Angelina Joly She appeared to be interested in me but did not speak any english. Since the bar was closing down and it was already 5 am, we did call it a night. I was able to hand my phone number to her, but she was sort of disappointed to see it was no ucrainian number. I was leaving Donetsk the same day.
Taking together, I would say there is no professional scene, since there is just not enough tourists or business men around. On the other hand this gives you some chances with normal girls, but you would need to have basic russian language skills or you meet the needle in the heystick who speaks english. I have been in Donetsk end of June. Donetsk has 1 million inhabitants and there is still a lot of girls around who are not in Crimea.
I will go back there for job and will enjoy the club scene. I would not go there especially for mongering. But quite frankly. I never go somewhere for mongering purposes only.

Would advise that you have alarm fitted that has a visible light flashing this does act as a deterent, also you should park in one of the many security car parks (6-10uah per 24 hour period).
Hotels in Sevastopol, you might just struggle but there should be apartments to rent (try the railway station/bus station).

I was in Yalta a few times by car (small Merc). No problem, driving even makes more fun than in Torino :-)
During night, use "stoyanka" (guarded parking).
Places: Yalta now too expensive for me, but worth a visit.
In Evpatoria, Sudak etc. lower prices, and more "standard" locals. Koblewo (between Odessa-Nikolaev), "Jelesni Port" (north of Crimea) even more girls on low budget.
In that respect, a car makes sense, in case you have some time.
I will also go again middle of August, by car, to
Evpatoria, and kazantip.
West coast (Evpatoria) is more for the young mothers with little children, because of real sandy beach, and you have to walk many meters until swimming depth. South coast, like Yalta and Alushta/Alupka stony beach, and you immedialtely need to swim. So for the teenager/student types.

Still good here even though its quieter than normal, I took a few hours out yesterday and went by the river/lake near to Atlas there is a man made beach there loads of student types, obviously ones whith no money or boyfriend to take them to sea!

Dmert, Fort Knox is the main high-end nightclub in Donetsk. It's about a 15 minute taxi ride from the town centre (30-40 UAH).
The eye candy is truly stunning BUT it's not an especially easy place to make approaches. The response can be quite cold a lot of the time. Either be very persistent or get a table on a regular basis and let your face become known.
Face time is important to break into any club clique. Is it worth it...dunno, depends on how much you enjoy it. During my miguided youth it was fun. Now it generally gives me a headache. :)

Ciao Was. 99, I was in Poltava 1 year ago. I was in Palazzo hotel for 3 night. Near the hotel, at about 150 meter on the right, there is anice dico-club (sorry I don't remeber the name but there is only one). Every night I was there but if you do not speak russian, uhmmmm it will be an hard work. Becasue inside many nice devuskas but not p4p. Anyway the city is safety, nice, very. Provincial. But I don't know anythings about sauna or s. W.
I was there with a girlfriend and. It was fine. Let us know how did you feel there.

Well Andy and all others, Poltava does have some P4P at the truckstop outside town on the main road, otherwise nothing. Really nothing, no saunas, no streetaction and no apartments/clubs, believe me I tried hard but there was nothing. However, there are 3 great Discos in town, Robin Hood, Spider and on more I forgot the name. If You speak a litte Russian (I do) you will get laid, it is a very nice, small and provincial town, take care.

I rented an apartment via ukraineapartments (add .com to that name), apartment nr 26 in Poltava, about 2 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from pubs and resturants. The livingroom/kitchen actually overlook the best restuarant in Poltava (you'll see it) were I had a 3 course dinner + drinks, brandy, dessert for aprox 180 grivna.....by the way the Jacuzzi was great for the freebees.

I gave 65 US/night, the best Hotel in town was about twice as expensive. The price included cleaning after I left. The service-lady met me outside the apartment on time, and also knocked on my door exactly 8 o clock sunday morning for checkout as agreed, it worked great.

First of all I must say that picking up a girl in a discoteke or other places where Ukrainians meet isn't as easy as many tell on this site. I am 50 years old, allthough I am slim, I probably look like that. I didn't succed once. Even thoug my Russian is fairlygood. I tried in the streets (talked with many, but never had one, they were all ugly), in bars, in restaurants. If you want to be sure to have one, go to Motel (brothel) or Miraz. Don't trust anyone who says that you can go to this or that cafe or restaurant. And this applies to all of Ukraina.

Will be there next year again, definitely. But: Go together with a girl. To pick up there was very difficult for me, at least. Needed quite a few (rather expensive) drinks :-)
Best is also to go by car. Because of accomodation.
