Had a week in Lagos, but not much time for fun. Managed however to get a trip to Havanna Bar. Or former Havanna Bar. I think it has changed name, but its referred to as Havanna on www.oyibosonline.com.
This place has changed since last time i was there (less than a year ago). Much more ladies around, more approaching and not that good looking. I was a little in a hurry so i didn't have time to find a dream lady, so i ended up with the one on the pics. Due to legal issues, this is a members club. Entrance fee is Naira 3000.- on a weekend (Naira 1000.- Mon & tues). Considering you can get a lady for Naira 3000.- a night this is quite expensive.
After our beer, we went on to the Hilton to check out the layout. Parking can be a little bit of a hassle. Found the "club" empty of course but at least now we know where it is.
Plan is that sometime on a Monday or Tuesday, we will venture down to the Titty Club (cheap entrance) and see what is on offer.

Well just to keep the forum alive. No real info, just a night out.
Well it is Monday evening in lovely Lagos. My board of directors is in the country and I am meeting them for a drink in the Sheraton Lobby bar.

Well there is quite a lot of fun to be had in Ikeja. Broken down there are two main areas, GRA Ikeja and Opebi Road/Allen Avenue.
GRA Ikeja
Issac Jones Road - Metro Bar and Sandras Bar.
Metro Bar is not a classic pick up joint but has the coldest beer in the area. Sandras Bar is where you can pick up or get picked up.
Oduduwa way - La Cachette and Londoner
La Cachette is bar, restaurant and disco all in one. Certainly there are ladies there to be picked but you will have to see if they are not in company.
Londoner is a restaurant with english pub food (cheap good and always packed).
Opebi Road/Allen Avenue

This is a general observation and can be applied to all of West Africa.
When I first plunged into the nightlife scene here in Lagos, it happened a lot that when meeting a girl she would say:

Have not heard of any furnished appartments for rent "short time" here in Lagos. Which part of Lagos are you looking at?

On recent visit to Nigeria, I can give a few tips for gentlemen in need of TLC.
1- First of all, Nigeria is not hell, provided you know what you are doing and where. I youe xpect Nigerian or others no to try to cheat you, avoid travalling and go to your next video store for a XX DVD.

I assume you stay at some decent hotel? They have taxies for you. You pay like 3k Naira for 3 hours and then 1k Naira for each additional hour. There are many hunting places on VI. I suggest you take a look at www.oyibosonline.com for an overview of restaurants and bars. But a couple of quick tips:
- Pats bar. Nice bar and expat hangout. And plenty of nice girls. Relatively relaxed. The girls have to pay to get into Pats, so they are then not the cheapest ones. Expect $50-100 for a night.
- Havanna. Just opposite the road from Eko hotel and closer to Bar beach. Less pricey, but quality on ladies varies more. Some really good ones though.
- Ynot. This place is pure madness. The girls are on you so tight you might want to pay a bouncer to make them keep a little distance. All qualities to be found there. I haven't picked up there myself, but I assume you can negotiate a nice price. Be careful though, the ladies here seems pretty desperate.

Use your common sense, and assume that everone wants your money. From there, you can refine your street-sense further.
That being said, there are pockets of coolness. La Sala, Cypon, and Bacchus are all excellent (NYC-quality) nightclubs in Lagos. Lots of beautiful women.
I stayed at the Hardley Suites Hotel in Victoria Island. US$220/night, but a clean, friendly, and safe hotel. I highly recommend it.

However you can fly into Lagos go to Sheraton and have a great time at the clubs there. But bring lots of money and do not leave the hotel grounds.

I have just made a short trip to Abuja. I can advise that the Capital Bar at the Hilton is still an active haunt for WG's. As for decent hotels for 130. I think that's a bit low. There are 2 or 3 top hotels where you can count 3 times that a night. And then 2nd tier is immediatly a lot worse.
As for escorts no idea. If you read the thread there are some pick up joints where there are a lot of girls and some are 8's or more (depending on your personel taste offcourse. But reliable? Don't come to Lagos then. Agree for the price and try to choose wisely. There is some good fun to be had: p

returned to lagos for the first time in a year, and not much has changed. went to check in to the eko hotel, and found out they were overbooked by 25. a delegation decided not to check out even though i had a confirmed reservation! luckily, i had other accomodations for that evening, and was finally able to get in the next night. they are continuing the renovations here, and the new rooms in the mail hotel are quite nice. from the standpoint of a safe accomodation for a white westerner, this is still the only real place in town.
two days ago, i hung out by the bar at the pool. little or no action. a few looked available, but plus-sized. not my type. i like them built for speed, not for comfort. the bar was quite crowded. someone told me that they have made a concerted effort to keep the girls out.
last night, went out with the entourage. started at pat's bar. it was crowded, but mostly guys. a few pros inside hanging at the door. they looked a little long in the tooth for my tastes, and only about 3-4, but it was early, about 9 pm. out front, also about 3-4 girls were trolling around, who didn't want to pay to get in. maybe 5s on a 10 scale.

Yours, C.You can use the services of companies like starcomms, visafone, reltel. They charge an initial fee between 10,000-15,000 naira. Thats between $85-$120. Then there is the monthly fee of bout $60-80 depending on the company. They all have PCMIA cards you can slot into your laptop. Service is quite ok. You can check out the websites of these companies for more details.

"Sex workers 'targeted' in Nigeria
Islamic authorities in the Nigerian city of Bauchi have reportedly launched a crackdown on sex workers identified by the Red Cross in a census.
The BBC's Shehu Saulawa in Bauchi says that the local Sharia commission has begun rounding the women up.
But a commissioner said no arrests had been made and authorities were merely "supervising" against illicit acts.
The Red Cross carried out the census amid efforts to tackle the spread of HIV in the north-eastern state.
Muslim majority Bauchi is governed by the Islamic Sharia law.
After the census had identified 320 women, the local Sharia commission ordered that they be rounded up, our correspondent reports from Bauchi.
He says the Sharia commission seems to have been prompted to act by the perception that it was unable to enforce a ban on commercial sex workers in the state.

Not in the China town. In fact none of the asian girls who are domiciled in Lagos are available. Food is plentiful and reasonably priced but service a little slow on the food. Open 24/7. Live music on Weds, Fri and Sunday. Sunday evening is the busiest day and you need to get there early to get a table. House rules for the WG's who are in abundance most evenings. The girls are generally well behaved.

I am a recent arrival (fresh fish) in Lagos, and spent last weekend checking a couple of the bars that you guys have recommended. Pats bar was pretty empty when I checked it, perhaps because the football was still being shown on Saturday night. My next stop was Tricks bar, which had a good selection of WGs. Some of the WGs had a fairly aggressive marketing technique and were asking for US$ 100 or more. I ended up with a 22 year old who agreed on 10,000 naira for overnight. She told me that Pats bar charges the girls 1,500 naira entry charge unless they enter with a customer. Her service was only OK, but she did have a spectacular pair of firm D cups.
Some questions for the old timers. Was I grossly overcharged when I paid 10,000 naira? What is the chance of finding a 3 holer in the bars? Anybody with experience of street walkers in Lagos? Any feedback welcome, even if it only confirms that I was ripped off.

SandmanI'm not an oldtimer but a fairly new guy in Nigeria ( not even 2 yeras ). I'm not saying you got ripped off cause a lot of the girls now ask 10k. The best sex I had in Lagos was with girls who where happy with 5.000 and a ride home the next day. The 10k ones are the reall sharks out there. But I've also had a couple who would only accept that amount.

Having got caught for 10k Naira last weekend, I was determined to strike a better deal this weekend. I ended up in Michaels last night and managed to hook up with a girl for a total of 7k for an all nighter including her tip. She was a good performer and in no hurry to leave this morning. Have just pushed her out of the door about half an hour ago. She told me that Michaels charges the girls 7,500 a month to let them in. There were no stunners in Michaels last night and they ranged from 4/10 to 7/10. I guess that mine was about 6/10 in looks and 7/10 in performance. Overall a better experience for me this weekend than last weekend. I must be starting to lose the fresh fish smell.

For the uninitiated, it may look strange and immoral. Yet, for the dozens of patrons gleefully watching, it was a salacious entertainment.
Strippers at Ocean Blue, a strippers’ nite club, located adjacent to Sweet Sensation Bus Stop, along Opebi Road, Ikeja, Lagos, now have sex on stage to the delight of men and women who pay to watch them.
Last Friday, two young girls ‘electrified‘ the club when one of them appeared on stage with an artificial penis. The girl with the toy acted the role of a man during an intercourse with her colleague that lasted for over 30 minutes.
The patrons, mostly men, showed appreciation by throwing money at the strippers while the show lasted.

About 12 girls danced stark naked in the full glare of the large crowd. Apart from dancing naked, the girls gave a ‘lap dance‘ to whoever could afford to pay them N1, 000.
Lap dance is a kind of dance where the girl dances naked on top of a man, rubbing her body on the private parts of the patron to arouse him.
At the peak of the show, some patrons who paid N4, 500, were ushered into the VIP hall, a dark hall inside the club, where they can do anything with the girls. The money is shared between the club management and the particular girl who takes care of the patron.
P. M. News investigation reveals that the stripper receives N2, 000 for the job and N2, 500 goes to the club as entrance fee to the VIP hall.
Entrance fee to the club is N2, 000 and if a patron wishes to have a ‘chat‘ with any of the strippers outside the club, he or she pays N2, 500 as exit fee, and at least N3, 000 to the girl.
Girls at Ocean Blue are of different sizes and complexions. But P. M. News observed that fair-complexioned, slim and tall girls got the highest patronage and were paid more money.
Besides the exotic dances by the strippers, it was observed that TV screens at the club were permanently showing pornographic movies. Patrons kept switching their eyes from the screens to the stage, located beside the bar.
P. M. News also observed that some mobile policemen visited the club in the wee hours of the morning, and left after a brief chat with officials of the club.
One of the bouncers disclosed that they have a good relationship with the police for the smooth running of the club. Ocean Blue nite club is like a boxing ring with few chairs for patrons. Most of the patrons remained on their feet for most of the entertainment. The club opens daily, but the exciting days are Fridays and Saturdays, when strippers bare it all.

Usually go out on Thursday. This is my first outing since getting back from holidays.
Went to michaels around 9ish, its was fairly crowded with a good mix of expats and locals. Seems security are tighter nowdays.
Band was playing some jazzy tunes before the singers came on. Still the same. Gals. Not many lookers around, max would rate 6 or 7 depending on the be (er)holder.
Left after a while, not much happening. Went to pats. There was a band too yesterda an expat on sax and later a local singer belting reggae songs. Not too bad.

Then its N1500 entrance fee per day. I guess, the gals will have to be of higher quality and demand higher cahrges to meet the expenses.
Most gals hooked up with some expats. So none available. Moved on to Why not before 12. Which is really bad timing.
The place was slow. Loads of gals but few potential customers. Went up and worst, two gals and a bunch of lebanses crowding the pool table.
Downstairs, loads of waiting waiting but quality raneg form 2 to 6 with one or two 7s. Here you get mor choice as during weekdays gals pay N300 to get in while on weekends N500.
Will be looking to check on Tarzan tonight as gals say it swings on Firdays and Sundays. No cover charge for the gals too. Sounds interesting.

Yesterday went there around 8 plus. Good crowd and the band was just about to play. Mostly expats here with one table of Chinese youngsters. Anyway. Loads of gals here. Fairly good selection would rate it 4to7 with some I would put at 8! Just hung around for some drinks. Gals coming over to chat and tried their luck. Bought them drinks. Dressed up and headed to Ikeja to checkout the stripclub as reported by a fellow monger. Got to Opebi road near sweet sensation and saw lots of cars. Boy it was jammed full of cars. A smile lit up my face.
Parked the car, got out ready to get in the groove. Walked to the club and the big blow. There was a sign that said the club had been closed down on the order of the gorvenor of lagos state.
He said the club was morally corrupting the citizens of the state. Damn after driving all the way from the Island. And guess what? It was closed just a week ago, after a newspaper reported it activities.
Decided to investigate the source of the parked cars. Found out that there a club beside the strip joint. Similar to ynot in victoria island. Lots of girls and there also rooms on-site for quickies. Not a bad crowd. Couple of hot chicks, but decided that would be for another day.
There are a few Chinese joints that cater to asian/Chinese only.
They have karaoke rooms and gals form PRC to accompany you for dirnks. If you fancy to take them out. Its USD200 for ON until 12 the next day.
Fees per gal for karaoke session is N5000. Room is chargable depending on outlet. Some big joints that cater to large groups can charge N25, 000 per night for rooms.

Visited Pats Bar last night for a couple of beers at about 9pm. Not many people in the bar and hardly any girls. Seemed odd as it was weekend and the place had been much busier just before Christmas. Then moved on to Michaels. Better there but not by much. Only a handful of girls working the place. I was not looking for a girl to takeaway as I had brought one along with me. Benin City, Nigeria is an unmined gold heaven! I'm from Canada and I recently had the good luck of travelling to Benein, Nigeria. It is with deep regret that I must inform all those who patronise Trick's Music Bar in Lagos, that the front man (name withheld) and a co-owner, sadly passed way this morning (6th January) due to heart failure.
He will be well missed and our condolences go out to his family.
A short memorial service will be held, date to be confirmed.

Information just passed to me from a friend in Lagos:
New strip club opened up in the Ikeja area, he couldn't remember the name of the place but it's located behind Olajuwon House on Allen Avenue.
Entry fee is 2,000 Naira, reasonable selection of WG's and strippers who will negotiate prices for full sex with from 5,000 Naira.
There's also a strip club opened up somewhere in the Lekki area, although he didn't have any details on this place.

a first time visitor to tarkwa bay, a lagos island, cannot but marvel at the wonders of nature. located at the atlas cove, it is a place to love and to weep for. indeed, it is an island of fun and shame.
almost cut off from the glare of the prying eyes, getting to tarkwa bay is not a piece of cake. being an island, it is not a place to go by the lily-livered, especially when the waves are angry as well as raging and the visitor knows nothing about swimming. a trip to the place, from mekwe beach (jetty) near bonny camp on lagos island, could only be done by speed canoe. the trip takes only 15 minutes at break neck speed.
no man's land
tarkwa bay could pass for a no man’s land. it is unorganized or rather has no definite pattern. tightly concentrated shacks dot the landscape. only a few buildings are made of block, most of which were erected by european sailors and slave merchants, who used the place either for leisure or as transit camp. such buildings are collapsing now and stand like structural sores, especially near the beach area. narrow stretches of dirty foot parts snake around the place.
splendid beach
despite the fact that tarkwa bay belongs to another age, the culture of enjoyment has evolved there. fun seekers from the metropolis throng tarkwa bay beach, especially during the weekends, just as the residents catch their own fun in their own way. indeed, tarkwa bay has a beautiful beach. those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of lagos consider it as an ideal place to chill out. people organize parties and other social activities at the beach, especially wild ones, where sex orgies are cherished. there, you behold the beauty and mystery of nature, as ocean waves billow into the sky, cascading to the shoreline and leaving foamy bubbles that soak into the fine sands.

Experiences at the Hilton in Abuja have been wacky, unfavorable, and at times uncomfortable.
Let me explain.
Previous reports here are on target about the women’s aggressiveness but they are generally nice and talkative too in the bar areas. Once in the room, the bubbly personality can change on a dime, going from a smiling and engaging person to a moody, frowning, un-interested, and sleeping person in milliseconds.
Above all else, the girls are real people, most coming from backgrounds, deprivation, and faulty or crummy educations that I can hardly imagine. The average monthly salary is something in the low hundreds. Which is all the more frustrating when the women give the hard sell and start throwing fits in their insistence for sums of money they and other regular professionals here hardly make in a month.
Bottom line is that they must get close to what they ask, otherwise, they wouldn’t consistently propose similar figures.
So, the first very frustrating part of the Abuja Hilton experience is the prices are so out of wack compared to the economy here. As well, the prices are more than a fully functioning, incredible German FKK. You would do well to check your curiosity and horniness at the door and not even bother with the whole thing, unless you enjoy the whole game and will chalk up any inflated prices and poor service as a life enriching, cultural experience.
I have learned things about this culture, so I am good with the times I’ve had, but you should know what you are getting into.

in response to the post on the ghana section, i felt it necessary to make a few comments.
firstly, i've lived in nigeria for most of the last 12 years, i'm married to a nigerian girl so i'd consider myself reasonably well qualified to comment on the country.

threafter, nigerian has been controlled by a sucession of stupid, corrupt and politically inept northern dictators who have had little interest in the development of nigeria into a truely pan-african force, have had more interest in [CodeWord125] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord125) the nation of it's wealth and filling their swiss bank accounts.
of these so called 'leaders', the democratically elected olusegun obasanjo, who was military dictator in the 1970's and also ran two terms as the appaling post-military years has been the most blatant thief. although obasanjo is a yoruba (from the south-west area, around lagos), he fought on the side of the northerners in the civil war and is widely disliked by yorubas and igbos.
the common man on the woman in the street has had no role model to learn from, all they have seen for over 40 years are the liars and thieves who have purported to govern the country.
nigeria today depends on it's oil and gas revenues for more than 90% of gdp, despite having many millions of hectares of fertile land available for cultivation and a manufacturing base which has never realised anywhere close to it's potential. nigeria is incapable of ensuring anywhere close to a basic electrical supply and businesses (and individuals who can afford them) are reliant on generator sets.
nigeria currently stands at no. 19 on the index of failed states. corruption is widespread, as is violent crime including kidnapping, poverty and economic malaise. so, in this respect nigeria certainly would appear to anyone not familiar with the country to be uncivilized.
however, talk to any man or woman on the street, and you will get a different impression entirely, nigerians are among the happiest people on earth. despite the day-to-day struggle to survive, your average nigerian will grumble and moan a little and then just get on with providing for his family and living his life. this attitude i have rarely observed in any other west african nation (with the exception of some ghanaians and anglophone cameroonians), and it is this attitude that helps nigeria stand out from the rest.

As per my recent report. Its a crap shoot. And you should be forewarned that most previous warnings are accurate.combining cultural differences and the crazy factor, you let someone in your room and anything can happen.
There are some quality and fine women here, but, if you don't choose well, and if you are not in the right place at the right time, you could have a mini psychotic on your hands. All that has changed now. Women can actually make a career for themselves in any of these fields. This has also brought with it some very unwelcome trends. Most banks will tell you that they are equal opportunity employers of labour, yet the females get a very raw deal. Sure the banks hire workers, male and female alike and place them in various departments, but the females mostly, predominantly, end up in marketing.
Most companies have adopted this method of hiring women, especially, young, attractive women, irrespective of their qualifications, solely on the basis of their looks. These women are then shunted to the marketing department, from where they are unleashed on the populace, especially, the men. The reasoning is simple; quite correctly, the people with the most funds are men. They are the ones who control the different tiers of government, with a few token women. They own and control a vast number of choice businesses; women control only a paltry number of substantial companies and are vastly outnumbered by the menfolk. All this money has to go somewhere, so banks jostle to get depositors and they don’t take no for an answer. If you already have several bank accounts, you are asked to withdraw your money and deposit in theirs!
A simple study will show you that a man is many times more likely to loosen his purse strings when approached by a pretty female than a fellow man. In fact, the chances of a female getting through to a particular male customer are more than marginally higher than her male counterpart–for the most part. So much so that there is even a term for it. In the local parlance, it is referred to as ‘Bottom Power’. It is this key factor that banks have honed in on to woo some otherwise recalcitrant customers.
While this strategy is certainly true of most companies, the banks are by far the worst culprits as they have taken it to a really baffling, and downright alarming, proportion. In fact, trust Nigerians, they have already come up with a term for these women-‘Deposit Mobilisation Officers’.
I have a relative–though I’m ashamed to admit it–who bragged to me about how he bedded a certain young woman who worked in a new generation bank, all because she wanted to ‘land’ his account. According to him, after she had been on his case for a while, he asked her to meet him in a certain hotel so they could finalise the ‘transaction’.

As if on cue, his phone rang and from the conversation–not to mention the smug look on his face–it was another lady trying to get him to open an account with her bank! This is really Corporate Prostitution with the bank management as the Pimps and the women as the–for want of a more euphemistic term–mules. Even Senator David Mark had some very choice words about this practice. All these despite the consolidation in the banking sector meant to make them stronger and more efficient.
There are women in managerial and other key positions within the banking sector, but the real core, decision-making positions are still saturated by men. Take a roll call of the entire bank CEOs in Nigeria, how many of them are women? Only Mrs. Cecilia Ibru of Oceanic Bank. Despite all these difficulties, the deplorable economy and the mouth-watering perks offered by these banks have ensured that the said women go the extra mile to try and secure jobs in these places. This is something guys you have to watch out for.
As a rule I never show them any foriegn currency and that $100 was like 12, 000 naira! 'thats way too much money for a nite of sex'! Some of these nigerian girls are to aggressive and greedy.
Thats 12, 000 is equivalene/equal to what these girls parents give them for a whole month in school and they are making that in 5-6 hours in one night!

As I said before 5, 000 naira ($30- 40 dollars) for the nite is fair and reasonable considering that you may have bought the girl a meal and a drink before getting to the main action!
But to give you my honest opinion a meal (between 1000-2000 naira for two with drinks and 3000. 5000 for a couple of hours in the night is a good deal for these girls. There parents/guardians & sponsers give them roughly between 10. 20 thousand a month while they are in school for a three month period (I have a business friend who duaghter is in university of ibadan and thats what he gives her for a month on average). So when a girl makes and additional 20, 000 from 3 to 4 sexual encounters or "runs" as the girls call it that is more than reasonable for them.
But as I said before if you only keep them in your room for 2- 3 hours when you give them the five thousand naira they can't complain.
The average salary for a good job in nigeria is about 40, 000 naira a month.
Which work out at 2, 000 naira for 20 working days in a month. So if you give her 4. 5 thousand that double days wage and for what? For having sexual fun for a couple of hours! So I always do the maths in any country when I am mongering.
And my point is that 40, 000 naira a month is a starting managers salary as I was in a nigerian friends office and he was interviewing for a floor manager in his factory and the going rate he told me was between 40 to 50 thousand naira. Admin workers or junior staff ie those fresh out of university may make between 25. 30 thousand a month and just school leavers my make between 15. 20 thousand naira a month. So the average salary is 25, 000 naira a month as I checked this out with mtn the mobile company in nigeria.
So guys you have to be firm with these girls and avoid all the sob-stories of
1. My mother, father, auntie, cousin etc is sick and they need money for an operation so can you help me with 20, 000 naira etc etc 'duh'? Why does the girl not put like 2 thousand naira aside from the money received from shagging to build up savings to pay for the operation.
But if she did this the sponsers would demand where she got the money from!
2. I about to be evicted from my accomodation outside the camous or where-ever and I need 30, 000 naira to rent another one.

Been a while since I posted on WSG, mainly because I have written all there is to be written about my regular stomping ground, Istanbul.
Anyways, been in Lagos for a couple of months, and I can now give my opinion about the mongering scene here.
Pretty dreary. Few places to go to, always filled with the usual suspects, and too expensive for a 3rd world counrtry!! Now to the details ......
First things first, all of you guys flying in for a couple of days, please STOP paying what you are paying! I have not paid more than ₦5,000 plus about 500 for the “taxi”. They moan and complain, and act all pissed off, then sad, then threatening, but don’t let that get to you, it’s just part of the act and part of dealing with the WG in Nigeria. DO NOT PAY THEM IN $ or €, just make sure you have locsl currency and use that!
Hotels – I stayed at 2 different 5 star hotels in Lagos, and at the Hilton in Abuja, believe me they have no problems with girls coming in. Just be casual about it when going in, and have some small change on hand in case one of the “security” people starts to be a pain and makes a big deal. Again, do not exaggerate, ₦500 is VERY good, and may even be on the high side if it is only a regular guard. Thankfully I am at a guest house now so I don’t have that issue anymore.

He told her that he would pay the 4, 000 naira for the soup that she ordered from room service, he gave her some snacks that he had in his bag, and told her to get the fuck out of his room.These women feel that if men can afford to pay 45, 000 for a room per night then they can easily pay30, 000 for themselves. Unfortunate too many men visiting to nigeria fall for paying these amounts also, if you notice you see ver few Nigerian men at these big hotels becuse they have no intention of spending 30, 000 for what they can easily get for 3000. Sex in Africa is cheap, leave the Hilton and pay local prices it is waiting for you on the street, if a woman makes 4, 000 per nite that is 80, 000 per month without working weekends, which is more than 90 percent of the people in this country make.
They all hope to hit it big, but in reality very few do. In a city with over 40, 000 *****s not all get a date every night the latter you pick them the hungrier they get because the bills must still be paid. There are plenty of hotels in Abuja that offer AC, good security and are clean at 100 US. As long as you are at the Hilton and Sheraton expect to pay Hilton and Sheraton prices.

Top class hotel with prices to match. There is a bar but no club.
If you want action, head to the bars on nearby Opebi Road or Allen Avenue. You can't fail to score!

When I was at the Elephant bar at the Sheraton, I never saw a single woman dash any security money to get inside, there were no bouncers at the entrance. The price for drinks was triple what you would pay outside and the women outnumer the men 10 to 1, which means plenty of women are going home alone and empty handed. When you can make 8 times the daily wage in one night I do not call that tightfisted, remember many are grateful to be making 100 US/ mos or 15, 000N. I think I am paying quite well! Example, security at the hotel I was staying at made only 10, 000N / mo. Contracted security at the US embassy were pain no more than 15, 000N. Many of tyhe hotel staff were paid less than 15, 000/ mo. I only speak from what I know.

I just want to share a nice experience I had this week. For my first visit in Nigeria I stayed at the Protea Ikeja hoping to find some nice chicks (although I was told this hotel is not the best place). Actually this was even worse than expected: the hotel is just dead. The third day as I was at the bar, the waiter told me that the reason why the hotel is dead is because everybody goes to a nightclub named "The Place" 100 metres away. Ok fixed! My objective was settled for the night to come. 1 am; I asked one of the security man to escort my mate and I at "The Place". From outside it looks like a cafeteria but I quickly noticed on the right an door open with music and spotlight in the background. This is it. I went through. Free entrance. And then ended up in a hudge room with about 200 people. Male/female in the same proportion. All locals. The setting is a bit rough but the ambiance was great. We ordered drinks and 5 minutes later we were in hand. I found a nice Queen, obviously not a profesionnal like probably most of the girls in The Place. After a while I asked her tariff. "don't worry about that! " she said. So fine, we went to my hotel. Reached my room without any obstacle at the reception and we had a nice cession; BBBJ, DATY, 69, GFE. Queen was happy the stay for the night but as I was tired, I asked her to leave and gave her 10.000N which seemed to satisfy her (she gave me her phone number for my next visit so I took this as a positive signal).

These are all bars and night clubs located at a section of the Ewet Housing Area of the city. This section is popularly known as 'Maitama' and action begins at about 8 pm every day. Most buildings in the area are either eateries, clubs, or bars with decent WGs hanging around. The place is a monger's paradise. Please share your experience here when you are done.

I visited Havana bar on Friday evening for the first time. I was actually trying to find Che bar but gave up looking and headed to Havana. I could not believe how empty the place was. Maybe one third full and never more than 2-3 oyibos in the place at any one time. There was a very poor selection of girls, maybe 4 maximum. The place was nothing like Pats bar or Michaels.
Did I just pick a bad night to visit Havana or is it usually this empty? Anybody recommend another bar on Ikoyi with a selection of girls?
