Getting there from Addis is no longer simple. It used to be a 40 minute flight on Ethiopian Airlines. Since the outbreak of hostilities, there are no longer any flights. The last couple of times I went there I had to go to Djibouti for a night and then grab a Russian charter flight to Asmara. Same thing on the way back, so I lost a night each way, though Djibouti can also be fun.

As I said though, it's been quite a while since I've been there, and things may have changed.

W/o a question Eritrean chicks are much better than Ethiopians. I was in Ethiopia years ago and I was disappointed too. Hard to find a girl who will do what you want. Some are reluctant even to change positions. I was slapped once. It is true they are beautiful, but so are the girls in kenya, so are the girls in ghana, so are the girls in south america. Well I really did not monger in many african countries like some others did. Maybe those who did will give you better insight. The countries I had visited are ghana, kenya and south africa. My favourite is w/o any doubt ghana. It might have changed now but during my last stay, I enjoyed every second of it. As you may have read in some of my previous reports, I had one outstanding experience with an Ethiopian girl. Even the non-pros are not expecting big presents or luxury diners. That is different in SA. The fixation on designer labels, the great variety and quality of restaurants, the luxury lodges etc. all that has also increased the appetite of the girls.

The prices for pro's varies in SA. On the street - e.g. Pretoria - it should be still quite cheap (as low as 80-100R for a blowjob with cumming in he rmouth), but the better girls advertising in the papers have gone up to 500-1000R for a session (but usually including more than one go!). The Rand is about 12:1 to the Euro at the moment.
In Ethiopia the street prices are lower and there are no adverts in the papers. The info from Lobo and others are quite correct. You get nice girls for a night from 200 -500 ETB. The Birr is today at 12.5:1 to the Euro.

So, SA is more expensive but also more spicey! Although the beauty of the Ethiopian girls is not matched by anything in SA!

The Desalegn #1 is an older hotel that’s not particularly recommended. I gathered the Desalegn #2 was the hotel mentioned in the LP guide. I ended up at the Desalegn #3 by mistake, but that turned out to be the place where I intended to stay. How 2 wrongs can make a right! I still don’t have a clue where the Desalegn #2 is located.

The Desalegn #3 is on Mike Leyland St, better known as EU Rd. The European Union building is just across the street.

thanksDon't take this as a final word, it is just my best guess. Based on what I read on eastern africa in general and Ethiopia in particular, I would say about about 70-80% are cut. The campaign against FGM started in africa not long time ago. Many countries today in africa have made FGM illegal. Parents are also well aware of the risk involved and most do not want to practice it abymore. 18-20 years ago nobody cared. It is relatively a simple procedure which can be done by a local handyman in your own house. It is very dangerous and deadly to say the least. I had been to Ethiopia only once for about 2 weeks. Most of the girls I went out with were cut. If you ask them, they will tell you. It is not really a big secret. You can also tell the cut from uncut. Anyway just wanted to share all I know about it no matter how little. Those with many experience about the country will tell you more.

I don't think that you are quite right about so many young girls being cut. I just spent 3 months in Addis Ababa and the better educated girls from Addis do not undergo this ritual any more. However, it is still common in some of the distant rural areas. Likewise with HIV. Many of the younger people are well educated about the need for precautions so the rate of HIV amongst younger people in Addis is not on the rise.

As I said in my previous post, I really do not have that much of a deep knowledge what is going on inside Ethiopia. Just wanted to share my guess. Many NGOs in developing countries say that FGM is much more common than we know. As I said the campaign against FGM started not long time ago. Was that the case 18 years ago? Definitely not. Not only that but also some of the WGs in addis come from other cities where parents do not have much of a knowledge about this dangerous procedure. Anyway it is good to hear that the number is much smaller.

I was never in Kenia, but I were in Addis Ababa so I might not the best Advisor.
Addis is a very safe City, which is a big plus.
Internet is very slow in Addis, maybe in Nairobi as well, but I guess Nairobi is a bit better developed.
There are no big shopping center with all kind of shops, or francize you might miss that. In Addis there are no big cinemas, where one can see english speaking movies.
So, Addis you can get bored very quick.
In Nairobi you have not only Kenyan girls, but also girls from the neighbour countries.
I would choose Nairobi.

thanks in advance.I just spent 3 months in Addis. It is a nice safe place. People are friendly and there is no hint of racism. Its refreshing after some other central and southern african countries. They are very proud of their culture.

There is a Cinema at Edna Mall that shows the latest English Movies. There are some good nightclubs. The girls are easy to talk to but they can be hard work to get to date. Memos nightclub is an easy place to find WG's. Addis does tend to sleep after about 9.30pm at night except on Friday and Saturday nights.

I met a guy who had just spent 3 years in Nairobi and he hated it because of the crime and racism towards him. He was really happy to have moved to Addis. I haven't been to Nairobi for a while so I can't post any comments about that place.

You will find many Ethio girls and girls from other neighbouring countries in nairobi where as this is not the case in Addis as far as I know. Kenya has better infrastructure than Ethiopia. That is a big plus when you travel. As someone mentioned earlier, there is basically nothing you can do in addis except sex ofcourse. Girls are more open in kenya. If you are after variety, go for kenya. You will find whites and blacks. The other thing you can always fly to addis during your vacation and enjoy everything it has to offer. These are neighbouring countries and it is not that expensive to go from one to another. That is what I think. Those with a lot more experience in these countries will give you better info. Oh, there is racism in Ethiopia, just not against white people, but against blacks. The Ethiopians consider themself not as black, but brown. Anyway in Ethiopia are different tribs. Some more light than others and the more lighter ones consider themselfs als more pretty.
But, it's not an open racism, it's more a kind of preference.
That there is a cinema at edna mall, I didn't knew. I went in alot of malls, to see some eye candy, but I wasn't too impressed.
The most shops in the malls deals with local handicrafts. No, international branches. Not even food branches. There is no McDonnels in Addis, nor any oder fast food chain has a restaurant. Some may not see that as a drawback, since the local cusine is Ok and there are enough restaurants. But, it's a good indication that the land is not very developed.

ThanksBeauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some prefer slim body and some go for chubbier type. I belong to the later one. I love my women with some more meat. Ghana sufficiently provides that. You can also find slim bodies here. Just take your time and look around. Women in ghana are very easy going. You can bed a non pro in a very short period of time. Well, I made the experience that the behaviour of Ethiopian women in bed is very bad. I had about 5 or 6 girls from Discos. 5 from 6 were very disappointing and even awful. I really regret that I took them. One a muslim orphan were Ok. Not very good in bed but also not awful. She didn't enjoy sex, but she were very gfe.
I guess Ethiopian women were not made for p4p, but maybe they are better marriage material. Maybe than they improve their sex skill, if they start to love one. The two Ethiopian girls I had in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were also not good in bed.

The Sheraton has a Disco. The other discos are Platinum, which may have a hotel above it, Memos which does not have a hotel, and there is another disco at Edna Mall. I forget its name. There is a new hotel called Millenium Hotel on Bole Road and about 10 mins from the airport. The rooms are nice and can be got for USD100 a night. But in Addis you always need to negotiate prices depending upon vacancies.

There are also lots and lots of small bars/"discos" all over town.

Yes, thats the start, go all the way down to the Dreamliner Hotel, and theres a sign for the massage place, go past the sports ground and there's a sign by the compound. OK facilities, shower etc.

Choice of 2 or 3 girls, rreally good massage followed by whatever you like.

Just at the top of olympia near the furniture place, down the road that ISN'T the petrol station there is a smaller road, with some kind of "cultural" centre involving the usual coffee-and-singing crap.

However this one is different in that all the girls are yours for the taking afterwards.

IMHO: Club Platinum is not nearly the biggest or best disco in Africa, and there were about 3-4 times as many guys as girls the few times I've been there. It is very nice, big and the waitresses are smokin hot, and the hotel upstairs has great rooms, but unless something has changed recently, it's not the best spot to find women in Addis.I concour. Club Platinum is basically a club that can seat 300 max and the owner is stupidly exagerating.

He has never been to say Carnivore, or Mad house in Kenya or clib Silk in Uganda, so he calls his club the Biggest in Africa. It maybe in Addis Ababa since Ethiopians don't think of them selves as Africans, but definately not in Africa.

gentlemen, this report describes the situation in addis ababa, ethiopia covering a 5 week period during april and may, 2009. based on the time i spent in addis, the following summary covers the information most likely to be of interest to like minded individuals such as your selves.

ethiopia is a landlocked country situated in the horn of africa, bordered by eritrea to the north, sudan to the west, kenya to the south, somalia to the east, and djibouti to the northeast. its size is 1,100,000 km² with an estimated population of over 85,000,000. ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world and africa's second-most populous nation.

the capital city addis ababa is translated from amharic as "the new flower." near the center of the country, addis is the largest city in ethiopia, and the country's commercial, manufacturing, and cultural center. it is situated in the center of the country at an elevation of about 7,600 ft / 2,500 m above sea level in the foothills of mount entoto, and on a plateau that is crossed by numerous streams and surrounded by hills. this is the highest capital city in africa, and its high elevation gives the city a mild, pleasant climate.

addis is a sprawling city, well wooded, especially with eucalyptus trees, and crossed by broad avenues. modern, multistoried buildings and wide open boulevards sit side by side with historic churches, palaces and monuments, as well as traditional one- and two-storied structures, and simple country-style huts. it’s typical to see sheep, goats, cows and donkeys walking down the streets, among traffic, and framed by skyscrapers and office buildings in the background.

addis is a difficult city to navigate since many streets either have no name or have multiple names, and often local landmarks such as churches or even phone booths are used as reference points rather than addresses. it is best to navigate by using landmarks like the post office, abiot/ meskal, the station, and areas like piazza, bole road, and mercato, which are shopping areas. some roads have one name on the map and another in general use. for example africa avenue on the city map is universally known as bole road, and has biru avenue as debre zeit road. there is a large and efficient network of blue and white taxis and minibuses which are inexpensive and cover the town.

based on my experience, ethiopia is a great place to monger. if you like women of color, there are some beautiful options available. habesha women come in all shapes and sizes, and some are available at very reasonable prices. on a price per sex act basis, this country has some of the cheapest options available with prices that range from less that 1.00 usd up to 200.00 usd, depending on the category of women you are looking for, the length of time you want to spend with them, and how much you are willing to pay. i found that in general most habesha women love sex, and i had some great sessions here. however, for cultural reasons they do not provide oral services (i.e. no bbbj).

the biggest challenge i faced was the language barrier, since most of the ladies in the venues described below, only spoke amharic. this required me to go with a guide/translator, and i was able to enlist the help and assistance of a reliable taxi driver. i recommend him highly and if anyone is interested, please pm me for his name and contact information.

for a country that struggles with food security and is always on the verge of starvation, ethiopia enjoys an amazing rate of night clubs, bars and brothels. ethiopia allows prostitution, but has outlawed brothels and pimping. the hotels, bars and nightclubs of addis reveal a thriving sex industry. sex work is usually linked to establishments such as restaurants, bars, hotels and nightclubs frequented by wealthy expatriates or local businessmen, but the city also has residential bars, hotels and red light houses that function as brothels.

in addis, there are always available options for sex. as in most places, most of the bar scene activity is on friday or saturday nights. however, there is also bar, hotel, brothel, and streetwalker action available every day and night.

several areas of the city are well known as ‘red light’ districts. the city’s major areas for commercial sex are piazza/doromanekia, arat kilo, urael/chechnya, kasanchis, mercato/sebategna, cherkos, meshualekia, kolfe, american gibi, china sefer, gojjam berenda, talian sefer and shola gebeya. during the 5 weeks i spent in addis, my time was focused on the first three areas listed above and described below. please note that the following doesn’t include all the venues available, but only the ones that i was able to visit.

during my time in ethiopia the exchange rate was between 11.18 and 11.22 ethiopian birr (etb) to 1.00 usd. all of my price conversions below are done at a rate of 11.20 etb to 1.00 usd.

piazza/doromanekia

this area has several streets of activity. the first is the street running from charles de gaulle to the taitu hotel, the second is from the taitu hotel straight ahead to the first left (continental hotel on the right corner), up the hill to the damask bank atm on the right, down the alley (several hole-in-the-wall bars on the left side), left and up the hill (st. george hotel on the right), then right down ras mekonin avenue to the blue nile hotel. based on my experience, all of the ‘budget’ or cheap hotels in the piazza area function as bars, and also as brothels with several rooms available onsite for st liaisons. the quality of the space varies and most are small rooms with a single bed, nightstand, but no toilet or shower.

hotels - most hotels in this area fall into this category and include queens, national, abyssinia, jambo, continental, florida, venus, st. george and the blue nile. all of these hotels have onsite st rooms available. in all these venues a beer costs 10.00 etb (0.89 usd). the selection of ladies varies, but i always found 10 to 12 available in almost every location, except the venus and st. george, which typically had only 5 or 6 working. based on my experience, prices typically started out at 200.00 etb (17.86 usd) but fell quickly due to the competition. perhaps others can do better, but depending on the lady (looks, age, personality and attitude), i always paid between 100.00 and 130.00 etb (8.92 to 11.61 usd), plus another 20.00 etb (1.78 usd) for use of the room/bed and a condom. so, i never paid more than 150.00 etb (13.39 usd) total for a st session in any of these place.

brothels – the compound directly to the right of the queens hotel with the light green painted wall has ladies available from mid-morning until late night every day. directly across from queens, the royal is set back from the street and provides similar services. although both have more women in the evenings, there are always options at these places during the day. both have small rooms available containing a single bed. prices typically start out at 100.00 to 150.00 etb (8.93 to 13.39 usd) but are negotiable. the quality of the ladies and rooms is a step down from what’s available in the hotels. i usually paid 100.00 etb (8.93 usd), plus another 20.00 etb (1.78 usd) for use of the st room/bed and a condom. i never paid more than 120.00 etb (10.71 usd) total for a romp in either place. on saturdays, i usually had my first session of the day at queens around noon, then had lunch at the island breeze restaurant, and went back for a second round.

streetwalkers - in the piazza area, most of the streetwalkers are found on the street running down from charles de gaulle to the continental hotel. every night there are always a few ladies along this street and on friday and saturday nights, there are many. almost all are on the side opposite the florida hotel and are in the area between the omar kayan restaurant and the venus hotel. up the hill from the continental/florida hotels, on the right is an atm (look for the dashem bank - piassa branch sign). there is a small alley that goes through to the next street (between the venus hotel and the damask bank atm). there are usually ladies on that corner with the atm. on the left side of the alley as you walk through there are usually several ladies there, and also several small bars that usually have 2 or 3 women working inside. there are a number of st rooms available in this area where the lady will take you. the initial asking price is typically around 100.00 etb (8.93 usd), but is usually negotiable. i pulled several ladies from this area and never paid more than 50.00 etb (4.46 usd) plus another 20.00 etb (1.78 usd) for use of the st room/bed and a condom.

in this area, and in addition to the taitu hotel, the wutma and baro hotels are popular backpacker hotels that are located across from each other on mundy street (the street behind the taitu hotel). all 3 would serve as relatively inexpensive lodging options and as a base for punting in the piazza area.

urael/chechnya

this is the area on mickey leland street and runs from the atlas hotel at the corner of bole tele and mickey leland to the classic hotel at the opposite end of the street. the yoly hotel is about half way down the street. any taxi driver will know this area. reportedly it is called chechnya (pronounce as chi-chi-niya) because of all the fights that take place there, especially on the weekends. i never went there without seeing some type of altercation that resulted in punches being thrown, usually among women, due to too much alcohol, general disagreements, or competition over customers.

bars - this street is full of small bars, and several are not much bigger than a closet. some are larger but most can only accommodate 8 to 10 people. several of the random unmarked doors are actually bars, but they only open up at night. you would never know that they were bars unless you poked your head in. many have only 2 to 3 ladies working inside, but sometimes on friday and saturday nights, there are a few more. most of these ladies are available for both lt (all night at your hotel) and st. not all, but several of the bars have rooms available for st liaisons, or there are rooms available in the area. prices ranged between 100.00 and 150.00 etb (8.92 to 11.61 usd), plus another 20.00 etb (1.78 usd) for use of a st room/bed and a condom. i only went st here and never paid more than 120.00 etb (10.71 usd) total for a session in this area.

streetwalkers – in this area the majority of the streetwalkers are found along mickey leland street. from the corner of bole tele road and mickey leland street, they are usually on the right side in the area between the intersection and the bars, and also on the upper end on the right near the classic hotel. on bole tele, it’s the area that runs from the bole telecom building up to mickey leland on the right. at night these ladies are usually on both sides of the street, so just drive slowly or stop and they will approach your vehicle. many are available for both lt (all night at your hotel) and/or a st session in a local room. the initial asking price is typically around 100.00 etb (8.93 usd), but is always negotiable. i only did this once and went st using a nearby room that the lady had prearranged. i paid her 50.00 etb (4.46 usd), plus another 20.00 etb (1.78 usd) for use of the room/bed and a condom.

arat kilo

this is the name of a street in addis and means four kilo, or that it’s 4 kilometers from the city center. my taxi driver referred to it as a ‘dirty corner’, but it’s more a section of red-light houses, and any taxi driver should know the area. at night you will find ladies standing in the doorways or just inside these small rooms, many with red lights on inside. the quality of the space varies and the rooms are generally very small with a cement floor and contain a single bed. sometimes there is a small nightstand or a chair, but there is no toilet or shower. you just walk-up to the door and negotiate with the lady on the price. there is a certain ambiance and rough edge to places like this that have always appealed to me, and in addition to the price, that’s why i visited this area as much as i did. based on my experience, the initial asking price was usually around 50.00 etb (4.46 usd) but always negotiated down to 20.00 (1.79 usd), and even 10.00 etb (0.89 usd) on several occasions. needless to say, the quality varied from the previous venues i’ve described, but i never paid more than 20.00 etb (1.79 usd) for a st session here. although i never had any star performers here, and often the sex was mediocre (think starfish), this was the cheapest pussy i have ever found anywhere, so no real complaints.

the most direct way to find this area is to go straight from trinity church, cross king george street onto arat kilo (under construction when i was in addis) and follow it to the open area where several streets all meet, then go right. you are still on arat kilo and as you go up the hill the rooms are on both sides of the street.

although i walked through this area alone during the day, i would strongly advise against it at night. it’s a known rough area, and even the police avoid the area at night. many of the residents here chew khat (catha edulis). this is an evergreen plant with psycho-stimulant amphetamine-like properties that is used as a mild stimulant. there is also an araki (local distilled beverage with an alcohol content of 45% and the nickname of ‘kill me quick’) house in the area, and there were always a lot of intoxicated guys staggering around in the street, and i saw several fights break out over what i perceived as nothing. the combination of khat and alcohol can be very volatile. my taxi driver refused to park his vehicle on the street for security reasons, so we parked some distance away and walked in.

other areas and venues

strip clubs – although there are rumored to be several around town, the only one i was able to find was chocolate city, located in the aros hotel (just down from the simian hotel going towards piazza). there are 5 habesha girls that strip and dance nude. it’s not quite up to american or european standards, but for an occasional change of pace in addis, it wasn’t bad. the entrance fee is 50.00 etb (4.46 usd), but you have to buy at least a half bottle of spirits at 450.00 etb (40.17 usd). both times i went there i was always with several other friends, so sharing the costs made the outings less expensive overall.

hotel bars

sheraton hotel – office bar – this is probably the best and most upscale hotel in addis and the prices reflect this. live music some nights and upscale ladies. depending on the lady, prices always start at 200.00 usd, and it takes some real haggling to get them to drop. i walked away from some gorgeous women because of the price. the lowest price i was able to get was 50.00 usd for all night with a beautiful habesha, but it took some bargaining. this was my first night in addis, and after paying her initially, i ended up spending most of my free time with her. the sessions were always good and usually included sex with a condom, and multiple positions and pops. overall, it was a very gfe and at no cost other than drinks and meals.

hilton hotel – usually a handful of ladies around the outside bar, but depending on the night, you can find others at the lobby and sheba bars inside. prices typically start at 100.00 usd but quickly drop. the most i paid at the lobby bar was 30.00 usd, and this was st with 2 different habesha women. both spoke english, were in their early 20s and students at addis ababa university. i did everything i could to talk them into a 3some, but they wouldn’t agree. during my time in addis i saw each of them 3 times, and paid each one 30.00 usd for a st session.

night clubs

there are a number of trendy nightclubs in town that attract lots of upscale, well dressed, and very attractive women. i visited several and there are some stunningly beautiful women available, but with prices starting at usd 200.00 and rarely dropping, that’s not my scene. most are very popular with well to do ethiopians and arab businessmen from the middle east with money to throw around. with the other cheaper and more enjoyable punting options described above, i didn’t spend a lot of time in these clubs.

They have taken down their sign outside and you can see it sitting against a wall inside. Or better yet, they have their number on their small sign right at the Dreamliner, so call that number and ask them for more specific directions.

Tried Rosa's Massage yesterday. I didn't feel very well about the room and girls there, Happy Up is obviously better for everything. However, the girls there were recomending a new branch office of their's, which name is "Helen's Massage", said it is much better condition than Rosa's. Well with Moonlight you will not have so many choices of girls as in Helen/Rosa or Happy up for that matter but you will have somewhat a complete service.

Well, I went to Addis in April, 2009 and spent almost twenty four days there. First of all, keep in mind that Ethiopians are very conservative and very religious: Respect them and they will respect you.

To be exact and clear, there are four main stations where you can get your chicks in Addis: (1) Discos (2) bars (3) streets (4) shopping places.

In Discos, and there are many in Addis, especially Concord hotel Disco and the Memo, the price is very high. For short time, they will charge you $100 and long time $ 300/400. Of course, the price is only for straightforward legs up doing. They don’t suck, don’t kiss and don’t indulge in anal sex. If you bring them to the hotel and then want to get rid of them, you have to pay for their coming up to the room. The funny thing is that the Ethiopian chicks who travel outside for same business will charge half of the price. In Dubai, you get them for only $ 50.

In Addis there are many Christmas Light bars. These are small cabins with one or two waitresses in. Beer there is very cheap but these waitresses, who cant speak a single word of English, have already Ethiopian customers. I visited almost 50 of these small bars and never saw a tourist there. Moreover, outside these bars, it's totally dark, you can't see anything. Now, how would you take a lady out to your hotel in this situation?

The third group of chicks can be seen on streets. You can't see their faces but you talk to them. They charge around $ 10 for short time and $ 30 for long time. But there is a problem with these street chicks; you can't touch them to see whether they have boobs or bums, because the moment you touch them, they will ask for money. If you don’t give them, they will scream in the street. Imagine yourself in a dark street caught in a situation like that. Fortunately, the credit goes to the Ethiopian government, there are security guards everywhere. So it's rare that Ethiopian youths make an attack on tourists.

The fourth group can be found in places like Piazza and Friendship Centre. You can say Hello and invite her to a cup of coffee but it takes time for her to come to your hotel.

Thanks for the report sami29.I was planning to go to Ethiopia the coming january but I am rethinking about it now after I read your report.I was there once long time ago and it was not bad.They did not have power outages during those days.I could stay until mid night and go back to my place w/o any problem.I have been reading about these outages for a long time now and it is really amazing that they did not come up with a solution for so long.I know that the chicks are so so in the performance department.From what I read here,I think it is getting worse.I do not mind paying 10 or 20 but the darkness is really annoying.I think it is time to change plans.

First of all, I think this ADD section could use some help. There are so many possibilities and places to get fine, hot, smoking Ethiopian girls.

I worked in Addis for about 6 months as a single guy and when not working, I was mongering. Two of the months I had a regular with only a few side trips, but definitely went out scouting with friends. My stay was always at the Sheraton Hotel and they know me very well with all the girls I had in and out of there. Never a problem, ever!

The bars at the Sheraton, Office bar and gas light are good places to check out and have a few with friends and see some smoking hot girls. Prices for drinks are higher than in town bars, but not bad. The scenery is always good and fun to mess with. My goal was always to get free ones out of the Gaslight and did on some occasions. On some they were looking for $100 qnd could get them down to $40-$60 depending on you. They also know to ask for $100 Euro and aren't shy about taking Greenbacks. These girls are a little ruined by business guys and guys to scared to head out of the hotel, so they are willing to pay the higher prices. Since I lived there and they always saw me, it was easier for me.

Memo's and Concord. Good places to go and just have a good time. I have picked up many a girls out of both of these places and iy always seemed that there were afew new ones I have never seen before. I would always run into past girls and never a problem. As long as your playing the game they know. I suppose if you told one you loved them and want to be with them and they see you, definitely an Ethiopian girl would have an issue. But then again, why is she there? Prices always range depending on you.(young old, good looking/average, play them off and not look interested in getting laid, if your drooling or not.) I would never pay more than $70 ever. A couple drunk nights out I'm sure I slipped and don't remember, but that was my policy. A lot of times I would get them to come back for free just to hang out at the Sheraton and be pampered. Not a problem. I was never over energetic about getting laid, so it was easy to play them back for a free roll, and " I am such a nice guy". A TIP from a local is don't drink the booze at these places as it is mixed with local gin which isn't good for you. He grew up in Addis and frequents the bars and this was his advice. I always drink beer anyway.

Platinum Disco was always a good place to pick up freebies. If your a Westerner you are swooped up in the VPI area if you like that. I always hang out by the dance floor or at the lower bars. Never problem's finding a girl in here. And the last time I was there, it had been a few months since I had and they had dancing breaks with girls for your pleasure. I knew the manager and he was always offering girls to me that worked there and I even let him sho me one once. I'm into finding my own, but its an option. If he would have offered up his bartender in the VIP lounge I might of taken her home to meet mom and the ex.

There are a many of nights I had my local taxi driver take me to bars and never remembered the names. Him and I would walk into one of the little bars, usually with a girl or two and maybe two customers. I ould buy all of us rounds for a couple hours and my bill was never more than $40. CHEAP as we would be heavily drinking. Took home a freebie out of one of those bars once and she was pretty good. Young and was worried when the door guys were laughing at how young she looked. They did check this one in as we were coming in at 600am and it was busy. She was old enough.

My last month I was really getting out and visiting new places with some local people I met through my very good friend who is married and living in Addis. But then I was moved out to Dubai. Much rather hang in Adddis! MaybeI will have an update soon on those new places as I might be heading back.

As far as the girls, the past reports are correct in some ways. Oral and Anal are far and few in between. I found one that blew me just like a filipina, and thats why she ended up being a regular girl. I did have girls that would give blowjobs, but if their not really into it, then neither am I. Anyway, I asked here and there about the current situation over there when it comes to the power outages. Based on my info, the problem has not changed at all. A week or so ago, the govt announced that there would be no blackouts anymore but outages still remain the reality of day to day life over there. Maybe it is a good idea to buy a number of flash lights when going there just in case. LOL.

I have been working outside of Ethiopia for the last 3 months so I don't know how the power outages have been lately. While I was there, there were always small power outages and Internet loss could be for days sometimes. If you stay at the bigger hotels and hang out at the bigger bars and clubs, most all have back up Generators. Even at the Sheraton the power would go out for a few minutes at a time, but would always come up. This might not be the place for a person who needs 24/7 Internet and will get pissed off if the lights go out on them while taking a shower in their 5 star hotel. It didn't bother me at all. But then again, I also live in the Philippines now and don't even need hot water! I know what I would be doing in my room if the power went out.

The power situation ha snot improved at all. Despite some announcements of the Government, Addis is shut down every second day from around 07.30 until after 20.00 hours. Perhaps the situation will improve towards the coming weekend (Ethiopian New Year). Basic problem is that two big dams, which should have been finished 2007 and 2008 respectively are still not producing. Life has become rather awkward without electricity.

What you are confusing about the info on this board is probably just a reflection of who is writing. People who are coming for a brief visit may find it boring, the girls lazy (though very pretty! ) and the overall situation confusing. If you stay longer of have some good advice you find the right spots with the right kind of girls and you enjoy urself. Fact is the girls here are extremely attractive but also very conservative and without much imagination. Usually they are passive in life and in bed. But if you invest some time and effort you can turn some of these potential sexbombs into real ones. Well put Afrolover. Their are some definite beauties in Addis. I have read some reports saying that only the good ones are in Dubai or in the Middle East. And I ask myself, where do you think they came from and how many more do you think are still in Addis? Their are so many beautiful girls in Ethiopia. I wasn't to in to the seen in Dubai when I worked there for a couple months just recently as it was too expensive and I don't like the wham bam thank you mam mentality. At that time he answered that he was not aware about AIDS in the country...!!!!! So I believe that actually Osho saved my life…..

Here some other report on STD in Ethiopia, the report is frightening, but it might be same (?) but if we monger in Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia etc., do we know which bacteria, viruses and funguses are in their pussies...? may be similar and we are still going for it...

A study on STD pathogens in sex workers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

OBJECTIVE: To study the prevalence of some STD related pathogens among the core group to isolate some of those agents and assess their in vitro chemosensitivity pattern; to establish the seroprevalence of syphilitic infection.

METHODS: Cervical, vaginal specimens and blood sera were collected from 282 randomly selected female sex workers in Addis Ababa. Amies transport media was used before inoculating samples into specific growth media. Chemosensitivity of Neisseria Gonnorrhoeae isolates was assessed by both Kirby - Bauer disk agar diffusion and MIC determination. Blood samples were tested for syphilis by RPR and TPHA qualitative method.

RESULTS: Signs of single infection were found in 117 cases (41.5%),
multiple infection in 64 cases (22.7%).
Pathogens included N.Gonorrhoeae (78 isolates-30.1%),
T.Vaginalis (62 isolates-23.9%),
C.Albicans (51 isolates-19.7%),
G.Vaginalis (27 cases-10.4%)
PPNG accounted for 57 strains (73.1%).
Resistance to penicillin was detected in 73% of PPNG and 5.3% of non PPNG strains,
to Ampicillin in 70.5%
and 2.6, to Sulphamethoxazole in 59% and 18%.
Seventy-six sera out of the 203 studied were reactive on serological tests for syphilis (37.4%), and a significant correlation was found between the results of qualitative RPR and TPHA.

CONCLUSIONS: The results above reveal the coexistence of multiple STD pathogens in the studied group, increasing therefore the risk of HIV transmission. Further studies on the same group with a broader spectrum of test is recommended to rule out a larger number of pathogens.

Abstract: Introduction: The most predominantly practiced HIV prevention strategy in Ethiopia is the “ABC” approach. However, only the ‘use condom’ approach can practically be applied to sex workers. If condoms used consistently and properly, and don’t break or slip off during sexual intercourse, they prevent the users from acquiring HIV infection and reduce its transmission and slow the spread.
Objective: To asses the pattern of condom use and their effectiveness, and related factors. Methodology: Study design was mainly a cross–sectional quantitative study, complemented with a qualitative study, an in–depth interview. Results: A total of 369 CSWs were interviewed. The proportion of CSWs who consistently used condoms for three months and who put condoms onto their male clients’ penis at their last sexual intercourse was found to be 85.6% and 35.8%, respectively. Using condoms for contraception purpose had significant statistical association with consistent condom use behavior of sex workers (OR=6.6, 95%CI, 2.3–18.9). The prevalence of condom breakage and slippage at the last sexual intercourse were found to be 4.4%, and 1.5%, respectively. Prolonged sexual intercourse was the only factor believed by almost all IDI participants to cause condom breakage. Trying to continue sexual intercourse after ejaculation and starting sex before a penis being erected properly were believed by IDI participants to cause condom slippage.
Discussion: Our consistent condom use finding was grossly similar with that of 2002/BSS finding (85.6% vs. 90.2%). Higher proportion of consistent condom users was observed among Bahir Dar sex workers compared to other study findings like that of Mathias et al viii 1998 (85.6% vs. 40%). The statistical association between consistent condom use and condom use for contraception purpose was also observed in Mathias et al 1998 research (65.3% among condom users vs. 24% among non-users, p<0.001) Conclusion: This study has demonstrated both high proportion of consistent condom use and an encouraging participation of CSWs in putting on condoms to their clients. To add to that, before coming to Ethiopia I had heard so many bad things about the STD's here and how its not sfe even if you have protected sex. The power situation ha snot improved at all. Despite some announcements of the Government, Addis is shut down every second day from around 07.30 until after 20.00 hours. Life has become rather awkward without electricity.I never post here, I hope I am doing this correctly. I was in Ethiopia in 2005, right after election disputes. I recall people telling me there were power outages when the BBC (or someone) broadcast a radio program that provided an uncensored view of the outside world / opinions critical of the ruling party. Their claim was that the government was shutting off power so that people could not listen to this radio broadcast. Everyone simply turned on a battery powered radio and listened to the "dangerous" radio program anyway.

Has anyone else heard this explanation?

Addis Abeba, Street Brothels - 3 photos

Discovered a street with street brothels, red curtains hanging before the cottages…
Mescal Place/ take the road where the TOTAL petrol station is in the right corner at the beginning of the street (street leads to CONCORDE DISCO)/ after crossing the old rails/ take the road right/ after about 500m again right.

this is my first post although i have been following the forum for a while. i am especially interested in the massage scene, and am happy to see that the list of reliable options for a good massage with extras is growing.

here is my experience so far. note that i typically only ask for hj if the girl is reasonably attractive (6+) and i feel there is high likelihood of success. in my experience, it is a good sign if the masseuse leaves the towel off your body, does a good job on your ass and upper thigh area, "accidently" brushes your pole, has a box of tissues in the room, etc. these all signal that there is a good chance of receiving at least a hj. it's definitely a bad sign if the masseuse covers you up with a towel and then avoids the ass and upper thigh area.

in general i have been unsuccessful in beauty salon type places and i assume this is because most of their customers are women. the best are the 24 hour "massage/steam/sauna" places, although even at these places success cannot guaranteed. it's hard to believe that you could have a 24 hour massage parlor without extras available but it's true. who wants a regular massage at 2am? not i.

at all places massage is 80-120 birr for one hour with a tip of 50-100 birr expected for hj service. if the price is above 150 birr, then it's probably a "classy" or "professional" place where extras aren't available anyway.

1. extras (at least hj) are definitely available

helen massage (off bole rd, near jingtao chinese restaurant). reliably good massage with hj easily available. always a few girls (6+) to choose from.

rosa massage (off meskel flower rd, near dreamliner hotel). same owner as helen massage, which is better in all regards. however, good massage with hj is easily available and 2-3 girls (5-6).

happy up (off bole rd, near mega building / makush restaurant). only been once, but received good massage with hj easily. several girls available (6+).

amazing (jambo building, bole tele rd). nice place, decent massage with hj. had same girl both times (4), but at least one other may be available.

global hotel. decent massage with hj. only one girl (5).

lotus (in awassa town). good massage, cute girls (7-8), ok facilities. received hj no problem. other users report nude massage and different extras available.

2. other members have reported extras are available but i didn't get the right vibe

lovely spa (sheger house, bole tele rd). open 24 hours, decent massage but extras did not seem readily available the two times i tried. had cute girl (7) one time but she did not seem interested.

life on (near bole brass hospital, end of bole tele rd). unmemorable experience, did not try again.

moonlight (on eu road, near desalegn hotel). other users report good service (even bj and fs) though i was turned off by the large, unattractive masseuses. i haven't been in 6+ months, so maybe things have changed. good facilities though.

3. extras may be available if you have the right girl and/or haggle a bit

toronto (friendship building, bole rd). really nice, relaxing massage, open 24 hours. two girls working (6-7), though beds are separated by curtains, ie, not very private. haven't been in over 6 months so maybe things have changed.

ethio-thai (ethio-china rd / wello sefer). very good, professional massage with excellent facilities. seemed too classy and professional to consider asking for extras. only saw one masseuse who was not particularly attractive but there are probably many others since it is a big place.

herbal (edna mall, bole tele rd). typical beauty salon offering lackluster massage.

touch me (in dashen bank building just past edna mall, bole tele rd). enjoyed nice moroccan bath but never tried massage. very little privacy. two girls who look like sisters working (5-6).

redwan building (opposite edna mall, bole tele rd). this place gave the right vibe, so i asked for hj but was refused. girl i had was not attractive (4), though i spotted another who was in the 7-8 range.

desalegn hotel. not the eu road branch, but the one on the road between bole and tele bole that passes the unhcr building (up from saay pastry). had awful 30 minute massage from unattractive woman. very crowded with people using sauna/steam. won't repeat.

4. extras definitely not available

rosa (getu building, bole rd). good professional massage, but masseuses are old and/or fat and facilities are not attractive.

bole rock (behind edna mall). excellent gym with good sports massage; choice of woman or chinese man.

boston day spa (bole rd). very upscale place; not worth the money since better massage is available elsewhere for less money.

hilton. same as above.

sheraton. same as above.

filwuha spa (city center, near "fin fine"). large compound with natural hot springs. excellent therapeutic massage. choice of four blind men!

I have been a little busy with work, but found time to get some action in the last couple weeks.

First, off the plane I texted my old regular girl and was excited to get back into the rotation. She came over the first night, we drank a bunch of Tanduay Rum and had a great evening catching up. I have stayed at the Atlas Hotel a few times and have never been questioned when i have taken a girl there. Desalgan i beilive is also close by and certainly the street on which Deselgan has a lot of night action and girls walking around.

Atlas is certainly girl friendly and its in a quiter part of Addis. My suggestion is if you are going for a longer period, than try some of the guest houses. They are cheaper and much nicer to stay in. Living in a guest house, you can walk in a time with a girl. I remember one i stayed in often called the Family Guest house which is a 5 min drive from the Airport, the other one is Emmad Appartments which are very reasonably priced and not bad living wise. Emmad is also 5-10 mins drive from the Airport and not far from Bole Road or any other places.


Hi Does anyone have any experience of the Atlas Hotel in Addis - condition, girl friendliness etc. I was there a year back and stayed at the Deslegn, but thought the Atlas was better placed - i.e. not so far to walk to get to the good areas. I was in the Meskel Flower Rd area (around Dreamliner Hotel) the other day and was amazed by how many 24 hour massage places exist there now.

I tried Mahi Massage after reading favorable reviews in this forum. Very nice facilities, good medical massage, but no HJ. After finishing I spotted two other girls working, who were better in the looks category. Will try again after 6pm.

Other massage places on Meskel Flower Rd that I saw:

Though obviously the best place for mongering in Ethiopia is Addis Abeba, other cities have also possibilities, and sometimes cheaper and better.

Anything can be possible, but you dont make a mistake if you head to this bars with coloured lights outsides, as though it was christmas. There you will always find girls for sex.

Sometimes that it is very obvious, since there are lots of girls, as in Gondar, where I found a great selection. I chose a lady with a very dark skin, with a nice body and face, for all night and 30 dolars.

Found Heli massage yesterday night, it just on the way from Getahun Besale building to 22(Haya Hulet), off the road which Axum Hotel located.

Was in Addis within the past couple of months. Some laughable experiences at the Office Bar at the Sheraton Several nice & friendly overtures by me to some very beautiful Ethiopian ladies were snidely rejected by the gals. Seble Massage: Well folks "this is it". Finally we can all enjoy a wonderful massage with every extra services we may request being fulfilled by the ever willing Seble. Yes, her name is Seble and she used to work in Helen massage and she also told me that she worked in some other places too. But I found her at Helens. I really loved her services when she worked there and I used to ask for her whenever I went to that place. Unfortunately, she and the owner of that place, Pink, couldn't get along so she quit and started working for Life On massage. I visited her a couple of time there. However, she did not stay there for long and the reason she told me was that she wanted to open her own exclusive massage place. Then she finally made it.

What you will find at Seble's place is pretty much very private as the place itself doesn't even have a sign/post indicating it is a massage place. Actually, she just alloted a portion of her residential house for this purpose. The location of the place? Well take the left hand side of the dirt road by Haji Bushira Building in front of the main entrance of Airport Customs (gumruk) and drive by dirt road for about 20 meters to find a second turn narrow road on your left hand side and just try to pick her house gate which is painted white and marked number 2 in red. I know it will be a bit difficult to locate her place as I myself needed to call her to meet me and take me to her place.

Anyhow, I must say I am very happy by her services and if you are the type of person who want a complete service with no limit then this is the place in Addis.

By the way, for her massage service including a full sex session afterward I only paid her 200 birr!

One more note: I have been told by most of the girls working in many of the massage places, their aspiration is to open their own massage place just like Seble did. I would also like to remind you is that Pink herself, the owner of both Helen massage and Rosa massage, was once working in Happy up before opening her own.

I have noticed after I posted my report on Seble that I didn't mention how to approach her if you want to visit her place.

So, Ethiopia! When you arrive, get the fuck out of the airport ASAP. It's full of bitter wankers who have nothing better to do than hang around and harass ferenji. But what do I care? They're going to spend their whole lives in miserable poverty, and I earn more each year than they do in decades. Or at least I do when the motherfuckers don’t lay me off. Again.

Some Ethiopians love themselves, since they regard themselves as having "fine features" in the words of one vain tosser I got stuck talking to. Some of them can be fucking racist about their darker-skinned brothers and sisters to the south as well - they even throw the n-word about. Cunts.

My taxi driver from the airport (agree on prices BEFORE you get in the car - you can play a group of taxi drivers off against each other to get yourself a reasonable price) warned me off staying at Concorde: "They have a night club there, you won't get any sleep. Safety issues as well, brother. Lots of Africans there, people fucking." So if you want a good time at a girl-friendly hotel with tonnes of hardcores to choose from, go to Concorde.

Every taxi driver will bib his horn at you. That’s his way of letting you know that he wants to rip you off. The horn translates as, “Please get in my car, White Man, so I can charge you five pounds for a two-minute car journey.” Just ignore them, don’t even raise you head. Tehy aren’t even worth acknowledging.

Hotels: see previous reports. Don’t worry if you find yourself confronted with a ***** of a receptionist who won’t let you take a girl up to your room. The girls always know a cheap, nearby guest house which will be happy to accommodate you. I used these guest houses for short and long time. Using a guest house for long time cost me a maximum of a fiver ($8); short-time, a guest-house room cost me a maximum of £2.50 ($4). I probably could have bargained lower, but didn’t think to since the girl did the talking with the doorman. Admittedly, these sorts of guest houses aren’t exactly five-star accommodation, but they don’t break the bank in the event of an emergency.

Two places I’d recommend:

First, there's a club called Illusion. It’s absolutely packed on Fridays and Saturdays, great atmosphere. It’s a normal club but there were some smoking-hot girls eager to charge ferenji rates. No idea on drink prices, I was wasted long before we got to the club so didn’t bother to drink any more St Georges.

Second, there’s a place called Mera Restaurant (see map) near Atlas and Desalegn,which does tankards of draft St Georges at 7 birr. Nice and cheap, and the food’s good.

No trip to Addis is complete without spending a good amount of time in the habesha bars getting lashed on tej with the locals and trying to do the dancing. Do it wrong and you look like a chicken, then everyone laughs at you. Heh.

Turning back to girls:

Ethiopian girls have pretty faces. The only complaint about them, even many of the ones with hot faces, are their legs. Generally speaking, just not the shape I like at all. The look disjointed or something. That said, there are enough beautiful girls with great legs to satisfy the most voracious appetite. Don’t waste your time looking for non-pro action in the richer part of town. The overwhelming majority of their boyfriends and husbands have enough income to keep them well-dressed etc. for them to be contented. I imagine that it’s doable, it’s just so much more effortless to merely stroll about in one of the many crappy streets away from the financial/hotel centre of town. Pretty girls who smiled at me in the shittier parts of town wouldn’t even acknowledge my ferenji power in coffee shops in the affluent area of the city. Oh well. It’s utterly trivial to get laid by a hot non-pro. Just walk the streets of a poorer part of town and they’ll smile at you. Exchange phone numbers, meet up later, buy a few drinks – you know the drill.

Easy non-pros aside, I spent nearly all my time trawling for good-looking street walkers. My first time ever using SWs, not quite sure why I opted for this method... It was kinda exciting to try something new, I guess, plus using pros saves all the dross of making conversation with and buying drinks for a girl all evening whom you only want to fuck hard. I was absolutely gutted since I was with my super hottie who I didn’t want to lose by picking up another super hottie in front of her face. Later on, when I made my excuses to my super hottie, I went back to the spot where I’d spotted this new super hottie. Alas! The leggy meat had been snapped up. I was fucking pissed. I went back there virtually every night after that hoping that she’d be there, but I never went back on a Saturday. I found the Chuchu bar by going to the circle at Edna mall. At the circle go down the road directly across from Edna mall about a KM. Turn left onto one of the side streets there (near a pharmacy I think) go about 50 meters down and you will see ChuChus in front of you.

i am in addis briefly for a day, and found the time to visit the amazing branch located inside the jambo building (opposite the cathedral).

You do not need to take malaria prophylaxis in Addis but you do if you go out of Addis to lower altitude towns like Awassa. I would consult the US Center for Disease Control website on Ethiopia for specific shots recommended but you definitely need yellow fever, typhoid is a good one as well.

What about the dreamliner hotel, is there a club or good bar inside? Is it GFE?


As this strand has moved from massage places only, attached some pics of an Amhara girl I met in a club in my hotel a few months ago. Very little English but happy to communicate in lots of ways - and also keen on mirrors and camera.
