Some random bits from Gabon. Did not get action as I was in female company, but there are girls all over the place.

As everywhere in Africa, girls are at many of the cheaper discos and beer-drinking places. They will find you. Or make some male friends by buying them beers, and they will give you the lowdown on girls.
Price for girls: In smaller towns, probably in the 5.000 CFA (10 US$) range. In places with many rich expats, asking price is 10.000 CFA (20 US$) or more.

Libreville:
In quartier Louis, the main restaurant & bar area, there are a few proper nightclubs. One is at a corner 2 blocks up from the well-known Odika restaurant. Looked expensive, probably in the 50-100 US$ range.
Places with cheap local bars that are safe and accessible for tourists: - at the upper end of quartier Louis (just walk uphill on the main drag, 5-6 blocks away from the Odika - at the lower end of quartier Mt Bouet, in the diagonal street inland from Point Mole - at the "couloir de la mort" in quartier LaLaLa.
Gamba:
The "Auberge Missala" has a disco with girls.
Also try out their fishing camp in Sette Cama (great place to see the southern end of the Loango national park).
In Gamba town, girls hang out at the aptly named "Greenpeace" bar (the area around Gamba is the center of Shell oil exploration).
For having hang on a long time in Gabon, let me give you ALL places where you can find girls.
If you really want to pay, go to the bars of restaurants & hotels, you may also try the disco bars (Amiral, Cotton Club, Vertigo, ...)
If you got less money (5,000 - 10,000 FCFA = 7.5 € - 15 €), you'll find girls along the beach at night, around an area called "Chez Jeannot" in Louis, near the "Camp De Gaule" (the french army HQ) which is a very unsafe area even for locals.
You may also find girls in Lalala à gauche (couloir de la mort Death Hall) or in Gare Routière and YogoSanté. (Nigerians and Cameroonese girls) but I dare you to put a single foot down there alone.
Finally, for those that likes to have sex for free and are a little bit smart, just stop the girls in the street. In many cases, you'll get her in your bed before the night. FOR FREE !!!
I was in Gabon a couple of years ago. I stayed at the Okoume Palce Hotel. The hookers there were rather blatant. They would follow you up in the elevator and show you their tits. Also, they were quite graphic in explaining what they would do for you. Believe me, language is not a barrier in that sense.
As to prices - the going rate for half and half seemed to be about 35 to 40 USD!

Your choice to spend more than what you should.
I stayed a month over there. I did not have a hotel but I rent motel rooms for fucking when I needed, I took the taxi every single day, several times a day, I ate and drank every day outside and I fucked every single day of my journey. I spent maybe around 300 €.
Up to you guys, but if you do not go, fine for me, there will be more girls to fuck.

I have been to both many times. Both are Shitholes, Libreville less of one than Douala.
Port Gentil is a pretty typical west African port. It was once a French colony and there is still a large French presence, with French being the spoken language. The capital is Libreville, which is only a 20 minute flight from here, but by road it might take one whole day. It is dead easy to fly to Libreville from Europe/Paris. The local currency is the CFA (Communauté Financière Africaine Franc). €1 is about 650 CFA or £1 is about 1000 CFA. It is used in several west African countries, not just here. There are many reliable and safe cash machines in town. It is also easy to change Euros, less so British Pounds or US Dollars.
On the girl scene, there is plenty of choice. There are no such things as brothels, not that I've heard about anyway. If you want to meet women you simply go into a bar, disco or restaurant and they will find you! Once you are at one of these places, several girls or maybe just one or even just a barmaid will approach you. All will want to chat over one or several drinks (time well spent I must say) and then after a little chat you can or they might suggest a visit to either their place (which is pretty safe) or to a motel. If it is a motel, a taxi (which are plentiful) will take you to one of literally dozens of very low key / low budget motels, which aren't obvious from the front. A degree of luck and trust on behalf of the taxi driver is required here. The room will cost between 3000 CFA and 20,000 CFA (£3 to £20) for the night depending, and will be African basic, with possibly an en suite with hot and cold taps but with only cold water form both. Never mind.
After doing the deed, you can either drop the girl back in town, or continue to stay the night, depending on what the original deal was. It is when leaving that you give the girl the money to “pay for the taxi” i.e to pay her for her time. Telling her it is for the taxi will make her feel much better, and this is important if you want to see her again. Pay her anything from 5000 CFA to 30,000 CFA. If you want this girl to be your girl then the higher amount is advisable. Either way, it is still dirt cheap. You will probably find that most of the girls are either “dirty” (excellent) or just down right nymphomaniacs. You won't be disappointed.
Word of warning, come prepared. Take a bottle of water to the motel with you, along with some quality European condoms and even some Viagra tablets if so desired. Even some lubricant in a small bottle might help, especially if she wants to be fucked up the ass! Ooh ah Mrs!

Port Gentil is quite a fun place if in a typical dirty haphazard sort of African way. When you go out for the night there is certainly no shortage of types of places to visit, classy, seedy, lively, basic, its all here.
Immediately outside the port gate is a bar called Dockers. It is basic, but the beer is cool and adequate. If you only want one or two beers before going home then this place is fine. Well, there is really not a lot of activity in this forum. Thought I'd add a bit here:
Hotels:
Have not tested them and only stayed at the Meridien which is a totally overpriced and lousy hotel built in the 60's or 70's and has never seen any update since then. The bad news is. There is not much competition for them in Libreville. Have not seen any hotels of international standard that are newer around here. The good thing: The Meridien is GF so no much hassle to bring somebody, except she'll have to leave her I'd with the security guard over night.
Clubs.
Most of night life is concentrated in the "Louis" area. Plenty of nightlife venues there.
La Licorne: Awesome place with the cutest girls ever. Highly recommend. Some expats, not very crowded. The pizza place next to it is quite good.
Cotton Club: More upscale venue that asks for 5. 000 CFA entry. Great selection of women inside. Seems to be the hangout of the expat community. Bursting with activity on Fridays / Saturdays.
Tropicana: Right opposite the airport, on the beach. Nice atmosphere, decent food, next to it there is a venue with plenty of girls and music bursting. Beware of burglars though.
Generally food and drinks are on the expensive side compared to other African countries. But the women are just great. I have had only one I met the first night I stayed here. Decided to stick to her since she was fantastic. Never asked for money. I gave her CFA 10, 000 anyway as taxi money in the mornings.
Transport: Taxis are crusing back and forth on the main street. Within city limits you pay between 1000-2000 CFA.
All-in-all, there is not much to do in Libreville and if the girls weren't so hot I'd give it a pass. But they are. So enjoy.

This thread is quiet, and it must be that the French do not like to share! I observed that Gabon is the French man's playground. Or if you can speak fluent French, Gabon is your oyster! I cannot speak fluent french, and I was bogged down by a lot of work requirements. Lots of work and cannot speak much french, now that is a recipe for late nights and early mornings and not having much fun. But I am happy to report that I scored action in both Libreville and Port Gentil, the party city. Would I go back? Yes, but only after I have taken an intensive course in French and can understand it to the same or better level as I do Spanish (me thinks I need to take a trip to DR or Costa Rica or Colombia!).
Gabon is still expensive, but you can still find some bargains as it relates to hotels, food, and transportation. The Gabonese girls are not desparate for sex for money, but there are some West and Central African imports that are looking to score some of that oil money. It wasn't until my last night in Port Gentil that I came across some SW's. Not my preferred thing. I also was working on some non-pro action, and scored that back in Libreville.

I never took a WG, but in general, it's very easy if you're an expat. The best place to find them is Cotton Club, near the Louis neighborhood. The club is full of girls waiting for your attention. The dance floor is somewhat small, and in true African fashion, the girls usually dance in front of a mirror. It's quite a scene to see them shake their stuff. Not sure about prices, but I would say try to keep it under 30,000 FCFA (almost 60 USD).
Libreville may not be Nairobi or Accra, but if you find yourself there, there should be a way to have fun.

Time can be spend much more productive than going sight unseen from networking website, unless of course she's webcam you. So many little nightclubs near airport, and in quartier Louis, VIPs if haven't caught one by late after midnight. The one place to absolutely avoid is New Cotton Club. It feels like some cheesy excuse of bar in place like Houston Texas at shopping mall. Can't believe anyone would go there except if new in town. If you start your evenings early, go first to casino. Many girls looking, then after 11 pm they begin to drift off to nightclubs. For foreigners in town: work related only reason, this is no tourist place. For hotels, better get one in close so you don't have to pass the police stops. Although strangely, at police stop in front of casino (water side) girls at night waiting. Catch them in your headlights and inspect while police is inspecting your passport and visa.

On my final night in Libreville, I went out solo. As I enjoyed a pizza dinner at Pizzeria Americain, I observed the entrance to VIP Room just across the street. Hardly anyone came in. No unaccompanied females. I passed. After dinner, I continued walking to the corner. Standing outside MB Club, I could hear live music inside. A cabaret wasn't what I was looking for, so I decided to head back to Club Insomnia. As in Douala, drinks are bloody expensive in Libreville. But at least, 3500 CFA buys you 0,5L of local brew Régab.
I surveyed the scene until I spotted the most adorable cutie. Her straightened, natural hair highlighted her exquisite face. Her elegant yet sexy dress showed off her perfect figure. Clover was bursting with energy and soon dragged me onto the dance floor. As we took a breather, Clover was disappointed to hear I was just a tourist, only in town for a few days. But my smile turned into a frown as Ludvina was shocked when she checked her watch, and announced she had to hurry home... alone! :(

The hostess, who'll greet you with a kiss on the cheek as you walk in, is a total babe. The waitresses and bar staff all look as if they're contestants in a beauty pageant. I bet they get great tips!
I ventured to the central dance floor, where girls tend to congregate in front of the mirror. I was surprised not a single girl approached me. Entering the club in the company of Ludvina may have been a factor, but that definitely wouldn't have stopped the vultures in Douala. A handsome, muscular, blonde guy in his 30s was hitting on everything in a skirt, but getting turned down. In Douala, he'd probably have been raped. While you can get laid in Club Insomnia, you definitely shouldn't assume every girl is a hooker. ;)
Ludvina returned earlier than expected. After we mutually admired her mirror image in motion, we headed back to my nearby hotel. Ludvina was worth the wait.
