Recently came back from my fifth trip but first in 3 years. Mada hasn't changed much so I must have because I used to find it charming in a broken-down backwater kinda way but I was bored. Will I go back? Probably not but would still recommend it to a first timer because it's different. The appeal of Madagascar is novelty value. Once the novelty wears off, you begin to be confronted by the reality of the place, most of all that there is nothing to do. You can try to convince yourself that by sitting in an all-day minivan ride you are having a real adventure, but anyone here who can read between the lines of some of these reports will have figured out things for himself.

No need in trying to read between the lines, since everyone is openly revealing to you the facts about Mada.

Quite certain, everything wears off. Even your most comfortable shoes one day.

So it is just what you make out of it and your personal preference.

Mada has not been and will never become a destination like the regular ones, it is as unique as the ones who like it.

After an ok and surprisingly quick 10 hours pothole filled ride from Fianar Cotisse Premium dropped me off exactly at 1800 at the station. I wish Premium was available everywhere. Worth every penny.

As we approached Tana the city showed itself from its lovely side. I was almost shocked how pleasant Analekely was. Light traffic only half the street hawkers. Only beggars as obnoxious as ever. Sunshine. A breeze cleared out all the smog and pollution.

Evenings. I was surprised by the number of police patrols out there. They patrol in groups of 6. Lots of signs of improvement. New garbage trucks new Fire engines. The new president seems to rake in Donations.

Went to Glacier last night. Its one of last authentic joints on earth I think. An institution. If you have not been at Glacier you haven't been in Mada. A microcosm of oddballs, tired ass hookers, gasy playboys, retired French mongers. There's a blind man hanging out there and a Chinese monger. Nothing has changed. Thanks god. Except the prices. Seems to be a new manager. A hilarious gasy band was on. I'd say a mix of Buena Vista Social Club and the Blues Brothers. Three blind guys with cool Ray Bans rocking away gasy songs. One guitarrist had all his front teeth missing. A buyer's market. 30 chicas and maybe 4 mongers on the ground. I sort of got side tracked by a very slim chic. Beautiful face. Took her home. Turned out to be a complete dud. Sucked out tits. Oh well. Doggy was bearable. After the deed I kicked her out straight away with 60 k. Yuck.

La Buse.

Who'll take a Street Walker next time. Some Lookers.Sounds like that starfish that gave me an STD. She had blond dyed hair. Absolutely useless in bed and then the condom broke. Got that fixed with a anti Cancroid / Herpes medicinal cocktail kit LOL. Did make me lose a week in Nosy afterwards.

Things to do in Tana:

Went in Tana to the restaurant 'coin du foie gras' in the Isoraka area. I'm a big fan of goose liver pate. Went there at noon. To my surprise they had an all you can eat cold buffet for 25 k. Very good quality, fresh products, good cooking. After an hour or so they start serving a couple of warm dishes. I think the buffet is only Friday afternoon. If you come specifically for the goose liver you may better come another day. The foie gras at the buffet is a sort of mixed liver. I did get some whole pieces of quality foie gras but that was because I had mentioned that was the reason of my visit. It is not part of the buffet. The restaurant closes at 19:00!

Went with a girl to cinepax cinema at the Waterfront Shopping Center. Tickets 25 k, Thursdays 30 k for 2.

Also went to shopping center La City. Nothing special but resembles somewhat Western shopping centres. Not a slippers and tank top area as I was walking around there LOL.

Opposite hotel Le Relais Normand there is a market area. If you walk in that area through the little alleyways past the 'gargottes' you will see in the back a series of tiny bars of about 2 to 3 square metres. I'm pretty sure they double up as wh*rehouses at night. I don't mind a bit of grubbiness but this is a very deprived area and you have to have suicidal tendencies to walk into the market at night.

Either you fall in love and learn to live with the pitifalls and shortcomings of a country or not. If all you look is for a cheap shag don't come to Mada. Or for that matter to subsaharan Africa. I had a house in Gambia for 2 years and an Apartment in Mtwapa. I know about african living. LOL.

what you make out of it and your personal preference. Mada has not been and will never become a destination like the regular ones, it it.Thanks for that helpful information, Tinte. I already experienced things like the taxi brousse ride from tana to tamatave then up the coast to a ferry crossing to Ste. Marie. Now, I take the flight direct from Tana. For Antsirabe, the white cabs at airport Tana will take you there directly upon arrival. No need to experience Cotisse 'luxury' again and again unless it is unavoidable. But, a lot has to do with your budget or any personal preferences. The real Mada can be staying in beautiful French colonial villa (with cook and house-keeper) or in a 20 k a night squat with your streetwalkers. Up to you, everyone finds their own level.

What do you mean Mada is not a 'regular' destination? That makes no sense.

That's all? A couple of dozen in Tana? Then it's more about 99% locals. Same in the Philippines even thou there are more puti (white) mongers but if you compare their number to the locals. ? Maybe whites are more visible but that's all. I was dating a girl from Bacolod a fairly large city in the Visayans some years ago and some of her friends warned her about me once they found out that I was from the USA. They told her to be careful with me because Americans are responsible for a lot of prostitution including underage prostitution in the Philippines and I might be a rapist too. I took her to "Golden Field Bacolod Entertainment Center" where all the girl bars are concentrated so she can see for herself how many white colonizers are there. But we didn't see any so I had her talk to the doormen and also the mamason in all the bars just to make sure. I really dragged her through it. The common reaction she got was a head shake with a smile: No whites! All locals and some Korean and Chinese. That convinced her. There is one more thing: Most of the underage prostitution in the Philippines by foreigners is done by Japanese and by far. They just keep a low profile stay out of sight and organized usually in high end hotels. They don't get a bad press neither the Korean sex tourist even though they dominate the market. It seems to me that the media and the leftist are just using the West's self hating "blame whitey for everything" narrative for their own agenda to push their religion of victimalogy. Do you feel some of that also in Madagascar and other African countries? To a certain degree yes. The white man is responsible for all evil. In Mada less so. But in other african countries a lot of BS is spread around in churches and in the media each time the white man is involved in something. Novelty effect I guess. Same everywhere. Most so called underage prostitution is local. Or else how you explain the staggering number of child pregnancies everywhere. 99.9% locals.

La Buse.

The simple African tends to believe all the BS which is spread by these self-styled ministers of these free christian churches. For example. Of course the bad white man is responsible for the spread of HIV...

Travelled 20 hrs yesterday and after taking 2 planes and 2 trains I am back home. After 6 weeks Madagascar it feels unreal and uneasy to be home again. Yesterday I was in Tana with my ‘holiday girlfriend’. She was crying for hours and speaking Malagasy to me although she can speak French. Now I am in my cold Western apartment and she is in her place in the hot and humid Nosy countryside. I'm experiencing a reverse culture shock. I feel like I went into a time machine and got thrown back in another time and place.

I don't know if I will be going back to Madagascar. I speak fluent French but I felt I was an outsider. As Neddy mentioned before, there is a huge French mongering expat community but they will largely stick to their own. Only in Nosy was I able to penetrate the French bubble. If I do return I'll probably fly directly to Nosy. I will not be going to the south (Tulear) again. In my opinion Tulear is more for French pensioners on a very tight budget. There is not much to see or to do. I don't care if I have to pay 5 Euro or 20 Euro for a girl. I want quality time when I'm on holiday.

On Malagasy scams. In Nosy I spoke with several French Madagascar veterans and they all said the same. If a girl starts making a scene about money and threatens to call the police they simply pay. I don't know how I would deal with that myself. I can't imagine myself paying huge sums just because a girl demands so but on the other hand I also don't want to get into problems with the cops.

What do you mean Mada is not a 'regular' destination? That makes no sense.Regular in terms of not made for the average monger, the scene mainly is not made for foreigners and their specific needs.

Everyone finds their own level? Yes in terms of different up level challenges and therefore rewards.

Have I ever mentioned money? No. Because not the point by the way.

I went there in 2016. Beautiful location but again there's nothing happening daytime and I saw the same faces in the same bar (Florida?) each night.

Hired a driver and went to Tulear. Took 3 nights and was worth every cent. I gave a Dauphin girl a lift which was a waste because word got out each time we arrived in a small town en route about the vahaza and my driver was picking a girl each night from the ones suddenly hanging around in the street outside where we stayed. It cost me 10 k maybe.

I can't imagine myself paying huge sums just because a girl demands so but on the other hand I also don't want to get into problems with the cops.I know exactly what you mean. Reverse culture shock. Absolutely. I get massive withdrawal symptoms after a couple of weeks back in Europe. For me the true shithole is the West... Not Africa. Time machine absolutely. Its like Europe 60 years ago. No #metoo. No sexualharassment BS. Here you get harassed by the girls LOL. No LBGT BS. 80's disco. Total timewarp. People actually talk to each other. Greet me on the street. No terrorists. Just girls dress hot and you hit on them. Perfectly normal. Here you smoke your fat spliff with a gorgeous perfectly hopefully legal 18 years (hahaha) drop dead gorgeous gasy chica in your in arm and look at the flawless southern stars sky while the selector pumps up the volume in the open air boite...

Malagasy scams. Usually the underage scam. Fake IDs or borrowed big Sis ID. Its not that expensive. Usually the girls are happy with a couple of 10k ar. Only tourists pay too much. They get charged in Euros. LOL.
Mate of mine. Expat 30+ years in Mada fell for it too. The girl tried to blackmail him at police. Tough luck for her. My friend knows Chef de Police. 200.000 AR. Problem finish. And the girl was not local. When the local chics found out she blackmailed, she was hounded out of town with two black eyes. And she got zero money. Thats how things are settled in Mada.

My longtime Mada Veteran friend told me how things are settled here. In the beginning he didn't know the local customs. If you live here at years end the local chef de police or even better the prefet or sous prefet of the province gets a suitable year end cash donation in a brown envelope. Like 200 k the amount is not so important. This is the slush fund for women and booze, as the meagre salary goes to the wife of the guy. After that you'll never be harassed by local police anymore.

My mate told me hilarious story. He travelled with the local sous prefet in his red Mercedes. They were stopped at a police checkpoint. The unfortunate patrolman didn't know he was dealing with the Sous Prefet. After a good dressing down they were on way again. Sans cadeau. My mate was waved through in the whole province whenever he showed up in his red Benz passing through police or gendarmerie checkpoints. LOL.

All it takes is a phone call.

Went there only once. I liked it instantly.

They played music to my taste. A nice mix of guests and cultivated fellow mongers as well. The bar is a kind of circle in the middle of the floor. On can do the hookerhopping round the bar, then go upstairs whit the choice where there is a small bar again and a chambre separee.

Doable loos by the way.

Since I got hunted down and got offers everywhere even by the hotel stuff I focused on other attractions. Like good, safe food.

I went there with a pickup from the drink and sate place next to LE Glacier.

Modern style disco with live Band and light show. They have a second floor up with a second bar, access only by passing two mean gorilla looking door dogs. Anyway nothing of interest up there.

Lots of nice girls of all sorts having a good time with some local guys too. Good pleasure ground.

Imagine you would hook-up with random girls in a developed nation. Within a week you would run into trouble with husbands but you hardly ever hear about a jealous boyfriend in subsaharan Africa. Actually it's so rare I can't even remember reading about it on any ISG forum.

That means that they are or 1. In it together or 2. Understand / Accept 3. Begrudgingly accept 4. They don't know.

I doubt they don't know about because otherwise we would hear about jealous boyfriends bursting in hotelrooms because someone else is shagging their bird. I have the feeling I'm missing something. Feelings of jealousy are universal. Men are men right? Or aren't they?

The other day I saw her walking past me with her gasy boyfriend. Of course she ignored me. A very common business model in Kenya. Most chics have boyfriends or even husbands. They know exactly what they are doing. Some guys get even introduced to the clueless monger as "brother" or "cousin". LOL. Most of them just can not afford it. Matter of better surviving, if they would have the money for sure thy would't look at us. In the same circumstances, we would bee more or less of the same nature. That 's human I guess.Madagascar society traditionally is said to be a matriarchy, and if so is some kind of factor in sexual commerce. Bigger reality is the poverty and the need to do whatever it takes to survive.

LE Glacier the classic dive bar, with great live music at night: best appreciated with blood alcohol level at point12 and above. It works only for brief visits though. Not viable for long term stays as the same tarted up, high mileage things turn up night after night (some of them for years). By day, the place is a single mothers' convention (not what we're looking for). Better options are outside on the avenue eating and drinking al fresco. Join them! Buy beer and share. Fresher quality, the right age, and many are awaiting their cherry vazaha experience.

For nightlife, our preference is for the bars and pubs out by the University. Totally different girl quality. And no vazaha: we imagine the 15 k taxi fare is prohibitive for their budgets.

Brand New hotel: Hotel LE Pousse Pousse. Excellent rooms, no street noise, clean. Can get entire apartment. Even the cheap rooms (25) are decent, on 5th floor with elevator and nice views. Located next to Tana Hotel, and above a ShopRite that's especially convenient.

Park Tsimbazaza: go with your Malagasy date, any day except Sunday or holiday when it's crowded. The lemur zookeepers will target you for a special show (ask if they don't). 5 k cadeau (give 10 k for both cages) they'll bring the animals, put them on you for pictures, feedings, whatever. Best experience. No need to take some tour walking in the muddy woods all day and seeing nothing, plus overpaying for the privilege.

Pokeris is spot on in his reports its all about confidence.

Spot on analysis. My French was non-existent 5 years ago. You need to make an effort. Next Kiswahili. French you need everywhere in Africa. 2 thirds were French colonies. But even if you speak French don't expect to have decent conversations with french Nationals. They like to hang out with their own. Except maybe Parisians who speak proper French. Or Alsatians and Belgians. Southern French? They speak gibberish not French. Actually the best conversation I have with French speaking malgache. Same level simple French conversation. The girls. You don't need French really. Many from la brousse 0. 0 French except Bonjour. But make no mistake. They know how to count. Hahahaha.

Is there a difference between East vs West in terms of how whites are looked at?While that's a question everyone probably would wonder about, answers are subjective. Out of the 54 countries in Africa, I've only been to 37. Friendliest (and fastest): Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Uganda (too easy). Other countries where they were incredibly easy (but not as many good-looking ones): Liberia, Zimbabwe, Equatorial Guinea. Countries with fantastic bodies everywhere, but where language limitations could slow things up: Angola, Benin, Togo. Country I didn't care for: Malawi. Of the northern (Muslim places) Ouagadougou and n'Djamena were good. Within countries, it's still about tribal.

I'd have to write whole Pages. Its not only East versus West Africa. Each african country has it's own history. Generally as a White you're not facing that kind of racist attitude as a black man in the Western World. A white man especially in remote areas has absolute novelty value. Kids touch your skin etc. In Gambia sometimes you face some drunken rastas bitching about the white man called toubab because recently boatloads have been deported from Europe and the US. You can't generalize.

Uganda has never been a colony but a protectorate. Versus Kenya a Colony. Big difference in perception. In Tanzania which had a socialist past under Nyerere the people were educated that the white man was an evil colonizer and slave trader...

Neddy. The reason I asked about East vs West Africa is because East Africans were sold as slaves by Muslim Arabs to the Middle East and other places via the Sahara desert and Indian Ocean. I assumed countries on the East such as Tanzania would not blame whitey. Makes no sense for them to do this unless it was part of the socialist anti-western reeducation agenda. I guess as a result Tanzania is not the friendliest place for mongers. Golfinho just posted his answer to my question and he ranked Tanzania as one of the friendliest and "fastest" place in his experience. It's a little confusing. Some Kenyans has some emotional baggage or mixed feelings about whites in general because of the colonial past as oppose to Ugandans who are free of it? Does it affect your general feelings when you are in the country or when you are interacting with your girls?

Gambia. Etc. Kenya was a free Market economy ever since. The white farmers who stayed on could go about their business. TZ all white Farmers were expropriated during the socialist years. In Kenya mixed race relationship is normal. In TZ its frowned upon. But times are changing there. They embrace free market economy and try to play catch up.

I once had a talk about it with some black Kenyans. Bottom-line was that they admire today white Kenyans for their " better " Suaheli and some in their excellence in Woodoo. The also said, fact is that the black upper-class in combination witch the chines is sucking them today more than the whites in colonization time ever did. Also to me it was visible that Employes in hotels were not very in fond for local guests. Well besides they say, if you turn a mzungu up side down. Money will always com out.

Been going to Mada for more than 20 years and seen many changes but IMO the excellent times had with Malagasy ladies (most of the time) has been memorable. From the Merina Indonesian looking ladies of the High Plateau to the gorgeous Vezo Polynesian mixes of Tulea (with natural blonde streaks in their hair) and the south West, the many regions have their spice and variety. Have even spent time in villages in the South West where the local chief sends over a tribal teen to keep you warm, it being considered impolite for a stranger who is a guest of the chief to sleep alone. I've done it with everything from coal black with straight natural hair to Chinese coloured black frizz haired gals with green eyes and if you like exotic mixes, this is a great place for mongering. This is where Africa meets Polynesia meets the Orient meets Indonesia. Religious.

Malagasy girls are liberal. They like sex and it's not something anyone is prudish about. Some southern tribes specialize in traditional fallatio and kama-sutra like positions. Many Malagasy, maybe most, are good masseuses, as massage is a tradition in most of Malagasy cultures. Traditional girls know how to wash you without soap. Using their hands and plain water in a hot bath, they exfoliate you naturally. Followed by a body massage, a BJ and FS. Yummy. If you like hard street walking sluts and pillow princesses, you can find them. But so many more sweet, gentle non-professionals part-timing for a "copin" and a little pocket money.

Yeah there are the online scammers and the "my mother is very sick" types as well. What can one expect in one of the poorest countries on earth.

Maybe I'll post more on a few good and bad places and times in future. Every time I land in Tana I usually head straight out from the airport a few kms down the road to an MP and unwind with a polite, gentle Gasy gal.

Means hair removal, not washing. Did you actually mean that some hair comes off during this process? I have enough that I wouldn't mind but it sounds a bit unlikely.

SE.Actually (the Latin), ex = from / off, folium = a leaf. It has come to mean to shed something: leaves, scales, bark, flakes of skin...like that. The latinate for ripping out hair would be deracinate.

I love NM Expert. I bow my hat to the expert on Pousse Prices. I speak french too. And the price is 1000 during day in Morondave. At night its 2000 and for bigger distances like from Karafun to Insomnia at night its 3000. And yes. I had 2 local chicas in the pousse.

In Antsirabe its 2000 for cyclopusse during day. Any distance. At night 3000.

I don't know. Maybe your prices are from another country. Or 15 years ago.

In Tamatave its 1000 for cyclo pousse. Bajaj daytariff 2000. Late night there is only Bajaj. And at night the tariff is per person. So 3 people its 6000 to Pandora.
So why should I haggle about 25 or 50 cents... I am not from a country in the ME....

Why should I tell a girl she's from La Brousse. Its offensive. And I respect all chicas. Sophisticated or not.

La Buse.

Who ll find out about the late night tariffs in Antsirabe soon.Hum I leave in Tamatave.

In the day: cyclo-pousse 500 AR, Badjaj 1000 AR per person. Never problem for a foreigner (Vazaha) with taxi badjaj, the price is the price, that all. Always problem with "pousse" (puss). Why paid more with "pousse" than a Badjaj?

- In the night; depends where you go and where do you come from. If you are in hotel, the Badjaj is good (gardian in hotel), never pousse OK? It's dangerous. If you have an apartment, take care, use a taxi automobile (car) more secure OK? Because the car have doors. Price: never up to 7000 AR, a price with taxi car (automobile) the race (course?) you are alone or 2 it's the price for the 2.

- For the Pattaya discotheque, take care the around not good, and not taxi. Same before forget the cyclo-pousse. Do a deal with a Badjaj more safe, usually it's 10 000 AR go and return. Just to call him for return in your hotel. You are only or 2 it's 10 000 AR for the group.

Sorry for my English. I'm french. Have a good year!

VL.I got scammed by a few, for sure. But not by most. I love their hygiene. Never saw any women in the world wash their pussies for 5 minutes before and after. Have you noticed? Funny thing is in Africa you get all types of pussies, huge variety and plenty of massive clit types, labia like bloodhound's ears etc. Malagasy gals are nearly all "dainty" down in the box. Like Orientals. Little neat triangles and micro-clits even ones that look as black Africans. Another thing, did you notice the weird thing with hair with the Vezo gals down in Tulear to north of there? Check the kids and teens. They have blonde or reddish streaked blacks / brown hair, never curly like Africans. But when they get older it just turns black. Many Australian aborigines have blonde hair until age 7. Pure blood ones! There is a real story in the mixing in Madagascar that awaits DNA.

There are few sights in the world of women like 3 or 4 Vezo gals aged around 19-21 strolling the beach in South West Mada, trolling for compliments and come-ONS. They have shapelier butts than other Malagasy ethnics also. Like watching dark butterflies of the most lovely sort just fluttering.

They are mostly very clean and very self conscious about it. Most girls won't let you touch them before the shower, and I typically slow them down beforehand, help them undress and let them undress me, have a little fun cuddling and playing (and many will go right to a soft wet BJ), and then lead them into the bathroom to shower together. A bit of a ritual. And yes, I love their petite bodies (my style of choice) and their pretty little pussies, which most prefer to keep neatly shaven. And yes, the girls in Toliara are the most beautiful in the country, I have always thought this and have claimed it in the forum. And yes, the Vezo often have natural reddish-blonde streaks in their hair. It is more pronounced in the remote SW villages outside of Toliara then in the town, caused by the sun I believe, which is why kids have it more I think.

Quite possibly have Polynesian and other roots They do not look African, even when very dark. Someone suggests the hair is due to malnutrition but not I think in stunning 18 yer old with body out off the central casting. Much research remains to be done on the mysterious genetics of the Malagasy.

I also enjoy Morondava. Met lots o nice Sakalava gals there tho few are too corrupted by tons of Eurotrash whites in every bar. But you can survive in most subsaharan African countries on unbelievable low amounts of money depending on your comfort level. I need a clean new 1 Bedroom apt. Which you can find at around 100 $ a month. Why live in a cardboard box for 1200 $ a month as a working poor in California. LOL. Some prices in Entebbe. Local strong beer 70 cents. They had it several times so they are half immune. I am only doing exposure prophylaxis. That means spraying the room. Sleep under the mosquito net. For long term stay in Africa no expat I know takes chemo prophylaxis. Not even doxy which is an antibiotic. I carry Chlorine Dioxide. 14 drops kill the parasite complete in 4 hours. Me and my mate use it all the time. For me malaria is a non issue really. By far the best resource is

If the area on the map shows blue I do exactly nothing. For Example In Ifaty there is no malaria. but im the villages 80 kms North there is. Just talk to the local government health station. They will advise you.. another trick. I usually travel during dry season. that's why I always consult climate charts. If you develop flu like symptoms fever etc. ALWAYS do a quick test. Its available any where. I did it in Uganda as well as in Ifaty. It was free there.

I am planning to rent an outrigger and a local guide starting from Mangily and staying in villages rather than tourist hotels, precisely to enjoy the full hospitality. Realistic? Many thanks!Rent an outrigger: go to Daniel the pirogier, runs a beach resto at Mangily. He does those trips. But calculate a few days and not to sleep in villages but at the beach. The pirogues are hot and cramped. Take a lot of wwater and sunshed with you. Those boats are only fast upwind but not if the wind comes from the side or front. To Morombe, 120 miles north, will take you about 3 to 5 days.

Its sold as water desinfectant for legal reasons. On YouTube plenty videos MMS. Don't listen to the hired goons from the pharmaceutical industry. I take it all the time. The plan was stay tana first night visit glacier have some girls and next day take cottise to tamatave, but Kenya airlines canceled my daytime flight from nairobi and rebook me to the night flight at least they let me know 12 hours before so I not waste my time at airport. So when I land tana I have just 7 hours left to my cottise to tamatave. Get 2 month visa for 45 dollars buy sim card and have some nap at airport till get light outside. Walk out negotiate with taxi driver bring me to cottise for 40 k ariary.

After 8 hours later I reach tamatave. First visit was la terasse most of girls is ugly here or the same I fucked last year already. Food is always good and tasty here. Later I went to taxi be 23.00 pm on Saturday it was many people bought few thb big for 7 k and was looking around. The quality of the girls was not so good but few was fine. One girl come to me and said she know me and show my facebook at first I don't recognise her but later I find out I fucked her before last year. She still was good looking so I decided repeat her again.

She ask if its will be a problem if she bring her friend together at my hotel? I said show me a friend she walk to dancing floor and bring other cute 20 years old girl for me. I said no problem she can go also I give you each 40 k ariary for all night they both quickly agree.

We comeback hotel sex was good and I manage cum 2 times. In a morning I kicked them out with 40 k each, because to sleep 3 people on 1 bed was not so comfortable and I have slightly hangover.

Wake up afternoon was horny already so decided to text some facebook girls. After 10 minutes I get reply from one 18 years old cutie she agree come my hotel for 30 k for few hours. She arrived she was looking good we chat on google translator for a while, she was very shy. Later I fucked her but sex was not good the girl was shy and without any expierence she start to shake when I take her clothes off, her body was great so I manage to cum when fuck her for a while. Send her away with 30 k and 1 k for pus pus.

Decided to stay hotel tonight and just watch tv series and rest alone 3 girls is less than 24 hours is enough for me.

Madagascar is pussy paradise after my trip to zambia and zimbabwe where I don't have so good time because girls is ugly at this countries. I will add some reports about zambia and zimbabwe when I not lazy!! I find some hidden places here like 2 dollars brothels which never been reported on ISG before.

After 9 days spend at tamatave can make some report. Tamatave always was the best mongering place for girls at mada for me. The weather is great not to hot and was raining just 1 time strong at night all others days is sunny or cloudy its not so hot and good for walking. In 9 days I have 14 diffrent girls some of them I repeat. I like young and slim girls without kids between 18-23 and I don't have any problems to find them here at tamatave. I mix my mongering with facebook girls and la terasse, taxi be girls. 6 girls was from clubs or la terasse and 7 from facebook. Honestly I have better time with pros they was good at bed and more fun instead semi pros facebook girls. Fb girls some of them was shy, don't like any pic (because don't want be seen at hotels or have boyfriends) and not so good at bed as pros from clubs. I suggest tamatave for someone who can speak french and like datings plenty of girls who want date here. Like example I text around 20 facebook girls and ask if they want meet me? 19 of them agree. My second question follows can they come my hotel room? From 19 girls agree to come my room around 8 or 9 girls others said I am not a working girl or something simillar to let you know she is not interested to it. So its means its plenty pros and non pros here who want date. I not into datings because its not so fun without french language. Nosy be is also good for girls but here most of girls are pro so if you like non pros tamatave is better option. All girls I meet I pay 30 k ariary for short time and 40 k ariary for all night sometimes give 1-2 k extra for transport. Never have complains about money even I never talk about money before I just give them that I think is fair from my side. Most facebook girls even not look at money they just quickly put it into their bags when I left next to it. Here is not Kenya or uganda where is better agree price before if you don't want dramas.

For food I was eating just 2 places everytime its la terasse here food is great but price is higher also. I like al barakat.

I highly recommend this place al barakat its cheap and food its nice with big portions also wide selection. Its just 200 metres aways from flamboyants hotel you can find it on google maps. I will add menu of this place so you can look how cheap the food is here.

Bajaj (tuk tuk) is 1 k ariary at daytime for short distance like 1-2 kilomitres but for longer like 3-4 kilomitres they ask 2 k. At night they want 2 k even for short distance like 1 km, but sometimes its still posible to negotiate for 1 k like example from flamboyants to la terasse I get for 1 k at night but I never get lucky negotiate from taxi be back to flamboyants for 1 k at night they always take back just for 2 k. Also they have some new bajaj on the streets with more seats which I never seen before on my last visits or maybe I was blind: the I will add pic of new bajaj.

Pus pus I pay 1 k most of the times but I prefer more bajaj its same price and faster.

So really nothing change to much at tamatave plenty willing good lookings girls for me, many options for food I plan to stay here more one week, no point to move somewhere other side maybe there is raining a lot or to hot.

Good to see you are lapping it up as always. I think I know this Baracat? Muslim joint around the corner? I usually stay at Anjara and it is also just around the corner from there. Steak frite with salad 2 bucks! Sure the steak is not imported filet but it tastes good and is a fine meal unless you have a huge appetite which I don't.

Keep up the reports. Nice to hear how things are going. I like the place too. Better than Nosy Be and Tana unless you must have a beach or a big polluted city. Unfortunately I have 6 more months to go before I get back.

Here is not Kenya or Uganda where is better agree price before if you don't want dramas..Long time for you means all night? Until next day morning or just into the night. What about short time? How long is that for you? I guess a short time is not really short in Mada. When I hear short time I'm thinking of half an HR. Could you clarify that.

When I hear short time I'm thinking of half an HR. Could you clarify that.Short time can be from 5 minutes to 3 hours or more, long time can be from 6 hours till 2 days. This short time and long times at africa don't have exactly time slots. You decide how long it will be or last yourself.girls are not clock watchers here nobody never calculate the time you spend together. If you go some masssage salon or brothels it will be time slots but with freelancers its your choise how long it last!! My short times most of the times last from 20 minutes up 2 hours depends how fast i cum, how i like a girl sometimes i cum 2 times if the girl is good. All night is something from 6 hours to 12-24 hours with multiply shoots when i get bored from girl i kick her out.

Flew in from Mnl, Bkk with a 6 HR layover at Nairobi (spent the layover in Turkish VIP, so no problems, a few beautiful Kenyan hotties). On a side note, I arrived Bkk on 1/27 for one night. Outside my hotel a group of big booties from Nairobi were lounging, I chose a fat assed honey for 1000 baht and off to the races.

Next day flew to Mnl and went to work 10 hrs north of Mnl until 2/9.

Back to Mada, arrived 3:30 pm and breezed through immigration (very nice experience). I speak English, Spanish, Filipino, Brazilian Portuguese, Basic Mandarin and Basic French, so very little issues with communication. Hotel taxi was waiting and off we went to Tana. Comparing traffic in Tana to Mnl it was no hassle. Checked into hotel unpacked and around 5:30 made my way to Glacier. Interesting bar, some French expats and some fuglies hanging out. Had a water and waited to see if any beauties were going to grace the bar with their presence. Well, I got tired of the wait and decided to go and rest until around 10:30 pm. Back at my Hotel I fell asleep and woke up at 6 am. My plan is to stay a couple of days here and then move to Tamatave. Mada People are laid back and really quite friendly, in my view. I'll see what can be found tonight.

Hi everyone,

I am considering coming to visit Madagascar this year; I plan to visit but also to meet some nice girls but I have read on some website that there is a law against meeting locals, I don't remember the consequence but it was enough for me to think that it's maybe not a good idea, and I have also read that the hotels could be fined if they welcome locals + foreigners, so that a lot of them won't accept guest, so I'd like to know if those laws are applied or not before deciding to come here or not. From what I have read on this topic I supposed that they are not enforced but I prefer to check, thanks a lot!

Its hard to find hotel at madagascar which is not girlsfriendly. You can bring 1,2 or 3 girls if you like nobody cares. You read some bullshit or you mix up with other country madagascar don't have this law as you talking about. You remind me simillar law was at Laos before or even still have now you cant bring local girl at hotel if not married. But many hotels dont care this rule at laos and i was bringing girls without problems.

Made my way to Glacier around 7:30 last night, again many girls were available but none to my taste. After several approaches from different prospects, one came and sat next to me and stuck up a conversation. After a while of talking and intimate gestures I decided to check out Manson. It was about 9 pm and only 4 ladies of the evening were present at Manson. Took a cab to Taxi Be and on the way saw a lot of street walkers near Sole Hotel (none were of my liking). Arrived Taxi Be, too early I guess nothing there.

I went back to Glacier and after 1/2 hour a pretty young thing attached herself to me and we went back to my hotel, however we got caught in a monger-policeblock fortunately I only had 10,000. Paid the perpetrators and off to the hotel for an excellent time had by all.

I carry two different debit cards from two different countries, BNI ATM issued withdrawals without a problem using my Visa debit, however when I attempted a withdrawal from the same ATM using MasterCard I received a "your bank declined the transaction. " I called my bank, they told nothing had been requested from any ATM. So I went and spoke with the manager of the bank and she informed me BNI ATM indeed honors Visa but for MasterCard one has to conduct a withdrawal in the bank at the counter. The very lovely manager was kind enough to provide the names of 2 other banks that may provide withdrawal using MasterCard debit.

Had a glacer simple next door to LE Glacier, did a walk through, seules les femmes expires sont prsentes, they were looking at me like my junk was hanging out in full view.

BNI bank cash machine working with mastercard no problems I use many times diffrent towns but just allowed no more than 200000 ariary from one go if you try put bigger amount transaction will be declined.last time i use it at ivato airport 12 days ago and it was working fine. I take 600000 ariary in 3 diffrents goes. ivato airport dont have BFV cash machine so i always using BNi here with mastercard. Just try next time again and you will see I am right. BFV bank cash machines with mastercard allowed 800000 ariary from one go (if cash machine have enough notes inside with 20 k ariary) if not they ask put other ammount. Also its depends from your bank what is your bank card have maximum withdrawa limit per day or 1 go. Also they have another bank which accept mastercard but I forget the name I think its a bank with some blue letters on cash machines but they don't have them so many like another BNI and BVF cash machines they are everywhere and both accept mastercard without problems and any charges for me.

Well sir like I said, that is what took place. I withdrew 200 k from Visa no problem, however using MasterCard I could not withdraw 200 k. These are both Debit cards with large balances. My MasterCard debit had no record of any attempts to withdraw from an ATM. I'm just reporting my experience. No worries.

TP.Still enough girls same as any time of the year where they can disapear? Weather is good was raining just 1 time strong at night in 12 days. On weekdays clubs it his and miss somedays I can't find anything I like or even collect any number, most busiest days is Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If you come here just for girls from clubs, la terasse maybe its aint best selection probably after 1 or 2 weeks you will fuck all of them you like, nosy be is better choise for it but if you mix clubs girls, facebook girls, normal girls who walk on street you can have good selection. Yes I will go nosy be just not sure when yet maybe next week or maybe end of February. I enjoy tamatave still I can find new girls I like everyday.like now i am at taxi be it has probably 80-100 people inside 60-70 of them girls other is vhazas and some locals. I saw 1 girl i like and collected number so its not so bad.on weekdays it can be 180-250 people inside and i easy can find at least few girls i like.best time is come here around 23.00 pm this time you still can find a seat if come later its get very full and most of the times need to stand even on weekdays or get some seat near entry where is quiet and no action.

I didn't find anything comparable that is two or five years old. On other boards that is also discussed in that way and the result was that that law does not exist anymore. But no guarantee. If have been there, never heard something like this at Madagascar from locals, expats, hotel owners or anybody else.

Only illegal below 18 now. If they catch you the owner of the guest house faces 10 years hard labor as well.

In Nosy Be that was a one time shake down after a french TV station made a report over sex tourism. These guys were just unlucky. None went to jail. Some were fined. These guys were just at the wrong time at the wrong place. Make sure the chica has ID. But that doesn't mean much. Loads of fakes or borrowed from big sista. Hahaha.

TP.Quiet. Yes no tourist season due to the rainy / cyclone season. But Tamatave is no Sextourist / Lemurlover destination. So local girls are there of course. What surprises me that there is not a lot of rain. Pokeris seems to be lucky. But weather changes. So climate charts are not as reliable. Uganda Kenya lots of torrential rains where it supposedly is dry season now. Also almost no cyclones up to now. Very unusual.

I have revolut visa also just in case when travel and few other extra cards but I don't use it. And revolut giving slightly worst exchange rate than mastercard. So why I should loose every month about 60-70 dollars or even more using revolut instead my mastercard which giving better exchange rate and charge nothing. So why people should listen and loose more money every month?

Last night taxi be was very weak selection and not many people probably of the hard rain didn't take any girl and don't collect any numbers. Wake up in a morning have a breakfast today is no rain and weather is cool for walking.

Went to cottise transport and bought my ticket to tana and other one after few days to ambanja. Its a big swimming pool near cottise after hard rain last night. I decide walk near two brothels next to cottise. One is behind cottise and other is closer side to petrol station. They have 5-6 girls. I was slowly walking in the water is quited deep some places when some girl start coming my side next to me. She said you are a liar I look at her laugh and said you still remember me? She said yes 2 weeks ago you was here drink beer at bar and told me you come after to see me for 10 k ariary but never come. I told her you have good memory. She said lets go now 10 k have good hotel here for 5 k. As she was speaking some english and was so so looking I decide give a go just for fun to change routine. She bring me to other hotel (if you can call it hotel of course) opossite side from her brothel. Room price was 5 k and 200 ariary for 2 condoms. The girl make me some blowjob I fucked her little bit but could cum I decide not try anymore and better save my cum for facebook girl which is coming after few hours. Give a girl 10 k make some photos of room and left.

RN 6 in bad condition. Then it means either waiting days until floods subside or backtrack all the way to Tana. To Nosy Be I only take flight.

For nightlife, our preference is for the bars and pubs out by the University. Totally different girl quality. And no vazaha: we imagine the 15 k taxi fare is prohibitive for their budgets.
Thanks for the tips. I'm headed to Tana in a few months and have good French. Any particular bars / pubs by the university that you can recommend?

Went to Nosy Be around 10:30 pm and very quiet, I ordered a thb LE petit and waited about 30 minutes for the ladies to filter in. By 11:15 pm five girls joined me at my table. The music was good and the conversation also (I am beginning to really like.

La langue franaise). Around about midnight I was on the dance floor bustin salsa moves, great fun. Yeah, the selection was average and below so called it a night, but I still enjoyed my time spent.

Welcome- no problem with your english. Our french is worse.

Tell us more about Pattaya Disco: ok for vahaza to pick up better then at TaxiBe?Taxibe is a good place. You have New York New York not far too. In New York a lot of expatriate.

It's simple. You eat in the Terrasse (good french food, no sick). And after go to discotheque.

Take care of you please.

Pattaya disco, is far but no expat there. The women are no pro. Pick up a woman is easy everywhere in Madagascar if you are nice and polite. The problem with some foreigners everywhere, they don't know if they want the sex or the love.

In France we are lucky, we have the neobank "Max". All free, no commission, everywhere in the world. No limit with currency 4100 ariary for 1€. And the bank of Madagascar take no commission too same in Thailand. All free if you live in France in Europe continental. The problem with N26 is expensive, and Revolut the free is limited. The other we have 2% of commission and bad currency (4000 for 1€).

I like al barakat..You are very generous!

Usually the longtime (the night) is 30 k Ariary. I don't know for a short time, I don't like that maybe 10 k or 20 k AR, not more. And same if you are with her by day + restaurants of course. For the very long time is 100 k AR per week (7 days), for the holiday men. Don't forget, girls want you and not all girls are with a foreigner (vazaha). The vazaha alone is rarely there. You forget the salary is minimum 200 k AR by month in Madagascar, 400 k for lucky men, more possible. You favored the prostitution with a holiday "vazaha" than a normal work. See the two . Yep.

You see in the Terrasse a lot of foreigners because good price and good food no really expensive (menu of day 13 k AR), the big THB is 4500 AR, for a center place is very good, you have free WiFi too, and electricity. Some girls go there. But not a lot of foreigner pick up her. I'm sorry but ugly women, they hope you are very drunk for going with you. But they don't have her back to the bar and see you same in LE Glacier bar in Antananarivo hehe.

Badjaj is 1000 AR per person even if you go to the Ocean 51 (good restaurant but not the price more than everywhere, it's only family place) from the Flamboyant (good choice for this hotel). Don't forget too Tamatave is the city of the Chinese soup but Malagasy method.

Forget the puss, a lot come from Tulear and they don't care of you, only the money, they try to take 5000 AR of you, they are very poor and like that because they wait every time. It's for the people of Madagascar (500 AR per person the real price of pus). Badjaj not same, they can earn 40 k AR per day! They like working and they are polite with you.

Like a crazy Jungle.

I arrived Taxi Be around 22:30 and it was already packed, showing some signs of improvement over the the previous night. All the tables had been taken, fortunately there was one space at the bar left and after ordering a thb petit, someone brought over a stool.

I was hopeful the quality of les filles would increase as the night unfolded. About an hour into my sojourn the likelihood of better prospects began wane.

People were drinking, dancing and generally enjoying the night. A big girl from the night before (who desperately wanted to pleasure me) and her two friends accosted me and big asked me to take her, I declined politely, and then another young thing walked up and started grinding on me. To get rid of the big girl, I accepted an invitation to go dance with grind girl. After returning to my stool it was even more packed, still no improvement in quality.

My problem now was grind girl was becoming attached, I excused myself and went to the toilette, but damn, when I returned she was still there. In the intermission between trying to loose grind girl, several other girls came to me and offered themselves.

I told grind girl I was tired and leaving she wasn't having it, she and 3 other girls followed me out the exit. While trying to leave, grind girl and 2 of the other ladies began arguing in Malagasy. I took advantage of that situation and got in a waiting pousse x2. While driving away another girl hopped in and off we went (albeit over the shouts of grind girl).

We got back to my hotel and I was pleasantly surprised by my new found friend.

At daytime or before sun goes down you can see some nice girlls who going to the beach but not at night. Maybe you was lucky to found some cuties here. I book hotel this time in advance on agoda because it gives discount and cost cheaper instead pay direct to hotel. I know most of the times hotels are cheaper to pay direct on arrival instead booking platforms but sometimes its opossite always best to check both options.

Look at my phone already have few missed calls on phone and messages from few facebook girls. I text message for one I want she come my hotel and she make me short call back (most of the times they don't have any credit even for sms) I call her and find out she speak some little english. After 30 minutes she was already at my room. 19 years old sweety no kids, slim, great body as I like. She ask wifi password and start play on her phone. We have some talk and I start take her clothes of she stop me and said but I need money? Its makes me laugh and I said of course I give you money. She ask how much you give me? I said 30 k for short time. She said its small and she want 50 k I said its to much I give 30 k. She don't think to much stand up and take her bag open my room doors said bye and walk away!! It was not to much time to thinking for me so I call her back and offer 40 k I don't want lost good looking girl for small money. She wasnt very happy but accept it. Sex wasnt great she don't have any expierence but after some fuck I manage to cum. Also she refuse to make a blowjob and told she never done it before. If my memory is good its a first time in madagascar from hundreds girls I have I didint get a blowjob. she allowed some pic together and some selfies i give her 40 k as we agree and she left.

I have been an Avid Reader of ISG and trust me, this website is Awesome. Good to know stuff before you get into stuff.

On my first trip to Tana, I picked up a chick from a club (it was on the first floor and I guess when there are 50 girls and 20 guys) where girls were just waiting to be picked up. Lack of knowledge or French and Malagasy was a Pain, but I guess, Love has no language. Paid her 50 K was she was an OK fuck.

Flew to Sambawa the next day and further to Antalaha, picked up the waitress at probably the only club (if you can call that a club), 80 K. Sex was bad, but she was nice in general.

On my second trip to Tana, got a bit crazy and picked up a girl from the Supermarket at one of the malls. She was nice. But Language was an issue, but I guess, we got over it. 100 K for all night. And a big ass smile when she left the next morning. Wanting to stay back longer for no extra cost. It was a 2 day trip so not much action the second day, had an early flight.

On my third trip to Tana, got even crazier and used FB Messenger to pickup. She was nice, good sex. But she came with a couple of her cousins to make sure I was alright. But greedy. Wanted more than 200 K. Next day, called the supermarket girl and she was eager to meet and stay over.

I can share digits of both the Supermarket Girl and FB Girl.

Now. Heading back to Antananarivo / Sambawa / Nosy Be very very soon. Guys, what's new. Where can I find, nice Brown, Pretty Looking lower 20th college type girls. I stay at one of the nicer hotels and am OK to spend 250 K a night. They have to be good in bed. Body and face does matter. English would be a good plus!

Tana is always not so bad for few days. Have just few girls here. First girl was from glacier 20 years old from toliara all night is 50 k she was with nice attitude and good at bed just communication was very weak she don't know any french and google translator is not so good to malagashy.

Second girl was from facebook 19 years old cutie with great body I like her a lot. She arrived my hotel and I find out she has her period. I ask her why you don't tell me before you have period? She told me just desole desole (sorry) . I offer her to fuck her ass but she refuse, and get angry for my offer, so I offer her 20 k for blowjob and she agree. I shoot my load to her mouth and send her away.

This time I stayed at hotel shangai its just 250 metres away from glacier. I liked this place. Shangai hotel have a bath, fast wifi, safe, fan, big balcony, tv, hot water, quiet at night price is 78 k per night, reception stuff speak reasonable english, also they have restaurant inside hotel. Rooms is very simillar to sole hotel just sole don't have bath and balcony but have fridge and free breakfast but price is also higher.

First, I am glad you are enjoying your visit to Mada. After that I have to agree with Amadeuss. If you bothered to read so much why are you overpaying and want to continue to do so? 250 K per night? 4 or 5 times the going rate. Especially if she is good in bed. How will you know until you have fucked her? Unless you are trying to bang the "No Comment" chick there is no need for such.

She left with a big ass smile and wanted to stay longer. No shit. You just gave her a weeks salary. Seeing as you are flying all over the place you obviously have no need to budget but you don't need to toss around big money for a good time. It can also attract the wrong kind of attention.

Have fun.

Last few nights in Tamatave went well, hooked up with another ISG master and had great fun. Saturday we went to Pattaya club and it began raining elephants and monkeys. Waited an hour having a drink but nothing changed, it remained lifeless. Decided to go to Taxi Be, arrived at the bar and the driver was asking far more than he deserved. Between arguing, paying "OUR PRICE" and the torrential rains, when I exited I must have dropped my money in a puddle but I didn't realize it until already in the club, F&$K.

Taxi Be was jumping upon entry, lots of girls 3 thru 6. We stayed about an hour, archived some numbers for later and retired.

Next night was Sunday, rolled in to Taxi Be and actually the quality was improved. After notebooking a few numbers, I settled with a cutie pie who I sensed would provide great GFE. I was right, she loved to kiss and was a true pleaser. I decided to keep her the next night before my trip to Nosy be. I have to say Tamatave is a fun place.

SE.So SE, thanks for the reply it really helps.

Both the girls the Supermarket and FB. There was no conversation about Money at all. It was meant to be a coffee at my hotel and everyone concerned knew where coffee turned to Vodka and then the room.

The Supermarket I have 100 twice so giving less would be a crime. She also expected me to drop her to the closest bus stop in the morning.

With the FB. I gave her the 100 in the morning and she complained it was less, I just didn't want to create a mess or anything, so I gave her another 100, she asked for another 50 for taxi.

But I get your point. Thanks.

The super generic introduction which contain zero info such as supermarket inside a Mall or a "Club with no name" was a setup to his main goal.

Ask a question.

Wake up guys.Dear NmExpert,

Please pardon me for not able to drop names, I honestly don't recall them, let me try and satisfy your query though.

I don't have a Main Goal or a Setup! I don't understand what kind of a setup I can do.

So this mall that I went too:

1. Huge Parking Lot.

2. Stores on Either End.

3. Next to the stairs there was a Forex Shop.

4. Bang on the other side of the forex shop was the supermarket.

5. Telma Mobile Shop band opposite the forex shop.

6. Every shop in the the mall was unbranded. Other than an Optical shop that had some good older models of Cartier Eyewear on display.

7. Guys selling bikes in the podium.

8. Stairs going up right opposite the forex shop.

9. There was this huge single outlet selling just about everything and this was a 2 level shop with internal escalator.

10. In December, they well selling Big and Small vehicles next to the parking lot.

Enough? If not, my next trip, I will note down the name.

So, about this club. Apart from the name, I remember it really well. Very close to the main shopping area. We climbed up stairs, bar was bang in the middle, seating all around it. Bathrooms on the higher level in the corner. So this bar was slightly different because we can go all around the bar, this was this section that was so Dingy and dark, people seemed to be getting on with it there. There was a lady outside the toilet expecting money for using the services. If you enter the bar, bang on one end the floor is slightly lifted. The only thing off about the place was the black light. Some dandruff from my shirt was so closely visible.

Just smile. Say "salama en vaovao". Fair l'amour? combien? Type the amount on your phone. And you're done! All you need to know in Mada.Boss Needy,

I just typed what you wrote on Google translate: the first one is Malagasy and it means Healthy en New and the second and third was Love & How Much?

What is the logic behind " salama en vaovao" Healthy en New.

Arrived to ambanja from tana with cottise transport total journey time was 21 hour same time as at dry season last year before. Already at tana before my travel I start feeling not well first get diarrhea which I fixed with tablets and when arrived at ambanja I was hit by some tropical flu (already second time this trip). Went straight to hotel and sleep 6 hours wake up even was feeling worst diarrhea comeback and flu was stronger find some power and take pus pus to pharmacy buy medication and comeback hotel straight to bed wake up 3 am morning could sleep anymore after 17 hours sleep with small gaps. Now feeling little better. Will wait morning and go nosy be. Seems my 2 facebook cuties at ambanja need to wait me till my next visit.

Happened a kind of to me too. Girl asked in the morning for 500'000! HeHe! 50'000 is a deal! But she insisted and made a face.

Gave her the 50'000 and showed her the door, wich she used and left. I shut the door, laid on the bed and thought to my self " always pay the first man, it only gets more expensive."

Minutes later it nocks at the door.

Shit there you go! I opened the door and there sche stands again, eyes in tears begin me to show her how the elevator works.

If one does not know hes legal status for certain. Pay! He might regrets it later.

Once I had a lady which wanted to call the police, threatened me with it. I took her mobile out of hand, called a ghost number and started a conversation with a ghostpoliceman in office. That worked just fin. She wanted the mobil back and left with nothing in a few seconds.

But than again, that bravery can always turn into a disaster. Pimp, hotelrules, police etc.

I guess it is a thing of personal judgement at the moment, knowledge of the rules.

Of course shit can happen even you settle the price in advance but its less chance this way. I have very big dramas 5 or 6 times in 10 years mongering once girl assault me with broken beer bottle. And many other small dramas, but I never pay more anyway if I agree diffrent before. When you get more expierence you will start feel when is better agree the price or when is better just to give in a morning what you thing is fair. On e way can bee to signalize that you "keep " her for god service several days, drama is finishing it. Or low fix price and additional tip. Anyway it the end it is about trust as well.

Pros might know to pleas you well, but first of all they know best how they please them self. The term " Ladysnake " therefor is quite common, because they bite you to.

If you stand not on solid ground, one is lost anyway. Experience therefor is good ground.

I agree what all of you say. To confirm beforehand specially in Tana what to pay in advance. I also had those threatening moments but with some peaceful negotiations you can manage the drama.

In the case I was calling Troll was because he firstly boasted that he read through the reports here but then forked out 100.000 plus another 100.000 and added a taxi fare of 50.000.

Those one day millionaires will increase the number of girls going for 100 or 200 and if not then starting a fight.

I don't think it is Pokeris' first language either but even with the spelling errors and the like it is pretty clear what he means. To a native English speaker pimping means a guy as intermediary trying to sell / rent you a girl. I have never seen that in Glacier. Perhaps you mean there are local guys hanging about trying to see if they can somehow capitalize on "rich" foreigners in some fashion by "helping' them out or some sort of scam? Dodgy fucks you see in every third world country? I don't know.

But I had sexy girls even during day running around Glacier for 40 k too. Many of the Glacier mercenaries try to collect 50 to 60 k and try to take off after one shag. If you are not good in French, show the amount on your handphone. Its understood. Some gold diggers smell a chance and press you for 100 k or more. Biiig drama if you not pay.

Spend here 2 weeks so will put some info maybe its helps for some newbies.

Ambanja-ankify taxi brousse is 5 k ariary. Ankify-nosy be fast boat ticket is 15 k ariary. Bajaj from hell ville or port of ferry to ambatoloaka is 3 k. If you need some medication buy it at pharmacy at hell ville or dzamandzar pharmacies. Don't use pharmacy at ambatoloaka (the one not far from taxi be or near bmoi bank cash machine) its rip off place for tourist prices and most things cost 30-40 percent more expensive. Like example medication from diarrhea cost here 34 k ariary and viagra tablets 23 k ariary and the same tablets at dzamandzar pharmacy cost 22 k for diarrhea and 15 k for viagra. Bajaj price from ambatoloaka to dzamandzar is 1 k and it takes around 15 minutes. First week at nosybe I stick with other ISG member so we have good fun after he left and I continue mongering alone.

Mongering: you can do it everywhere at nosy be, but for me the best places is:

AR Daytime: (daressalam) sit at the big bazar market (grocery store at daressalam) outside they have tables for sit, so you go inside the shop buy any drink and after sit outside and wait all girls is passing by or going to the shop its best places to collect numbers or invite girls straight to your hotel. You can find here some good looking young girls (18-22) without children which you never find at night in taxi be or biliard bar or another discos.

Taty chris disco (open just on sundays best time is from 9 pm till 12 am) all island is going for party here on sundays even on low season is packed around 150-200 girls inside. Every time I go here I collect at least 4-5 numbers from girls I like. You will find here many girls which you never see at taxi be or biliard bar. I like this place its a proper gasy disco!!

Taxi be, biliard bar,(bussiest times 22.30 pm -00.30 am. I go here every night the quality of the most girls is low, many girls have children and not good looking, but I manage to find at least one girl I like every night or every second night so its enough for me. Biliard bar was closed for more than 3 weeks before but from March 2 reopen again. When just taxi be was open and biliard bar was closed it looks packed every night and was difficult to find a seat. But now when both open and girls split between them is not busy anymore and you can see its much less girls when on high season.

Serena disco and djembe disco they both still open and rotating few nights one is open next few nights another one. They never open both together. They start very late when taxi be and biliard bar is closed. One time I go here 1. 30 am pay 3 k entry and it was just few people inside. I not bother comeback anymore because at 1 am most of the times I have a girl and in bed already.

Prices: as I mentioned before for short time I am paying 30 k ariary and never negotiate the prices before I think its more than enough. And for all night is 30-40 k ariary I agree the price before and all girls accept it don't have any refuse yet. Few times I give 50 k ariary for great service for all night.

As I mentioned last year nosybe mongering is super easy all girls is giving the numbers from probably 30 diffrent try this time I get refused just one time for number. You don't find any models here at nosybe the best looking girls is probably are between 7 -7. 5 (maximum) range from 10. Now is low season and have much less girls when I was here last year on may.

Weather: is good for low season just little bit of rain in 2 weeks time and just at night.

Food: some places is closed because of low season, but some start reopen on March. Most of the times I am eating at bidule, zeburger and at mama mia pizzeria food is good here big portions and tasty the prices is higher between 17-35 k per dish depends what you eat. I try avoid all local gargotes because tired of all diarrea I was getting diffrent times. Also very close to bidule at same side of the street have nice place for local yoghurt for 1 k and cakes for 1 k its also good to sit and look the girls passing by or collect some numbers.

Madagascar is good for girls but prepare yourself for some shit also if you stay longer like electricity blackout, bad diarrhea, some kind of tropical flu with bad body pain or something diffrent. Nosy be is good place for mongering, but after two weeks I see its getting harder to find for me a new girls I like. I see same faces same girls everyday and night. Tamatave gives better option for mongering and much more girls and little bit better looking. I was planning to move to diego for 1 week or more soon, but another monger coming here which I met at Colombia before so plan to stay a bit longer at nosy.

So my 4th trip to Madagascar, this time we'll informed though, thanks to Seniors.

Landed in Tana, picked up my Supermarket Girl on my way to the hotel. The name of the mall La City. It was the 29th Feb, for some reason the mall was full of hotties. And some kind of a show was happening on the 1st floor. She was really nice. Up for just about anything and no hurry to leave. I actually left before her. For my morning flight.

Headed to Sambava in the morning, drove to Anthalah for an hour of work. On the way back (driving my business partners car), 3 beautiful ladies wanted a drop to Sambava. Much obliged, we gave them a lift and they more than happy to stick around till the next morning. Had some fun at the Orchidea Beach II hotel. We had lunch and some love making. And drinks in the evening and another round of love making. No money exchanged hands. Left them at their homes around 9 pm. Went out to the beach. Being a Sunday. Everyone was on the beach making merry. Most of the guys eating some kind of a plant. Stopped at a shack for a couple of local Rum. Picked up a couple of nicely dressed locals wanting to have a few beers and then head to our hotel for love making. Did that and they refused to take any money too. When offered, they were upset and said, they were not *****s. Good for us.

Flew back to Tana the Next Morning and made friends with the Airhostess, she was more than happy to catch up for a Coffee. Got my driver to drop me at my hotel and sent him to the airhostess house to pick her up (she had to change her clothes, couldn't be seen wearing her blue tasardia uniform). Coffee at La City followed by quick round of Love Making at my hotel. NO money exchanged. But a promise to meet on my next visit and take her out shopping. Driver dropped her back home.

Headed to Nosy Be the next day. A lot of expectations. Found a room at Hotel Blanche. For some reason the first 4 hotels we visited were full. Didn't realise until we ventured out, that LE Taxi Be was like a 3 minute walk. Thanks to all the posts on ISG, stopped there for a drink and picked up a nice local for 50000 for the night. She knew little English, but was nice in bed. She left at 8 am. Had to go to work. Anal was allowed.

While standing in the balcony, enjoying the view, girls at the beach were dropping like flies for giving us a massage for 15000. Got one of those with some nice hand and blow job. Slept through the evening.

Again went to the balcony for the sunset view and what do I see, a beautiful fair coloured girl, sitting, looking at the ocean and sunset. Put on some decent clothes and went and sat not very far from her. I was approached by a few more women for massage, which I was refusing. Next comes a black guy offering me weed. I didn't understand what he was trying to do. Door to my conversation opens. This beautiful girl, tell me he wants to sell me weed. As I said no. He then started talking to me in French now trying to sell me Coke. Again the girl explains this to me and I ask for rates. Not wanting to buy it, but still asked her to translate how much. 100€ for 1 gram, I refuse. He goes on to explain he buys it for 75 and makes 25 . The girls shoos him away tells him I don't want anything.

Perfect chance now to get talking to this girl. We chat for a while, her English was very very average, but I could get a sense of what she was trying to say. After 30 minutes of her showing me her son's photo and her white french fiance photos. I offered her a drink. Headed to my room for a quick drink and she got the hint of what I wanted. My driver took her home, she changed into something nice (I picked the dress from all the photos she showed me) and we went out for a pizza. This pizza place was like 2 shops away from LE Taxi Be but on the other side of the road. While having dinner, we negotiated a price. It was slightly more than what I had paid the previous night, but she was worth the extra effort. After dinner we again went to LE Taxi Be had a few more drinks, this time the live band were singing a lot of English songs, so stayed till midnight. She left the next morning after passionate love making, the only thing I couldn't do was Anal. And 75000.

The next morning driver comes to pick us for the airport. Guess what, he brings along his girl and introduced us to her. While he left her in my room to chit chat, he went ahead and did some his chores. His girl could speak English, she worked in a hotel. It was her day off. She was so fine. God. Why didn't I meet her before. Fair coloured. Decent boobs, perfect ass to compliment that perfect body. What a package. But hey, she was my driver's girl. We spoke for a while and decided to meet in private on my next visit.

They dropped us to the airport and guess who I see next to the baggage belt. The Tasardia Airhostess waiting to pick me up. Surprise. Surprise. We went back to the hotel together, one very quick round of love making. She knew I had an MK flight to Maurice and time was short, again NO money exchanged.

Guy's, I love Madagascar. What a trip. Thanks to you guys.

Digits I can share: Supermarket Girl, FB girl, Beach Girl (nosy be) and beach girl (Sambava).

I don't want to share the Airhostess's number. She was really nice.

Decent hotel is 50 Euro on the beach.

Ambotoloka hotel is not on the beach. Do you want to get similar Mangily experience? See the waves ans massage girls while you hold your cup of coffee?

Then 50 Euro and above.

Ambotoloka hotel do not have Wifi in rooms only in reception. Bedsheet are replaces every week. Mattress are the cheapest possible that exist. Aircon low power so it a budget compromised hotel but most of the Mongers like it but they are crawling all over and arguing loudly in the floor hall.

Gents,

I'm heading to Nosy Be this summer (I guess it's winter down there) and considering Hotel Ambatoloaka. Online it says free Wi-Fi in all the rooms, but I'm reading some reports here that it has Wi-Fi only in the lobby. That would be a huge pain in the ass and probably a dealbreaker. Is there anyone who has stayed there recently who can confirm one way or the other?

Also, about the beach massage girls, I RTFF'd and saw the figure 15 k. Is this for one hour full body? Including happy ending? And is it like in mombasa north coast or pattaya where they have a massage shop you can go in to get the massage, or do you take them back to your hotel?

Many thanks for the info, I hope to repay it with some reports when I get out there.

I always tip the cleaning ladies so clean sheets is never an issue.I do the same in Thailand. New policy in many hotels and Service Apartments but they are ready to give new towels every minute. Harder for sheet but the cleaners will kill for tip. So about Nosy its a nice place for a week, more then a week I feel I need to run. In Tulear I had no issue to stay for a full month. And flight from Toulier to Nosy its two separate flight and you need to take hotel in Tana in case of the first flight late and you miss the second. I wish they provide one boarding pass for connecting flight.

Call me crazy, but I'm entertaining the idea of having kids with one or more nice girls and paying them monthly to raise the kids.

I want more children. Don't know why, maybe a biological impulse. And when I retire, I might move over to Africa and have a younger family (or more than one).

Can you experienced expats explain to me why this is a bad idea (it probably is)? What will go wrong?

Do you know the cost of living in rural areas in Madagascar, Kenya and other African countries? What would be the minimum "salary" I would have to pay a housewife to live reasonably comfortably and raise 4 kids without having to work?

Many thanks for the info, I hope to repay it with some reports when I get out there.Chris,

I stayed at this place called Etoile Blanche, it was an under construction place for Euro45 a night, nice big rooms with attached good sized balcony facing the beach. If you are in the balcony the girls will shout out to you for service. Yes 15000 incl.

Full body massage and a hand job. So these girls are working in the day and once they are free from their regular jobs they tend to go in for extra money. They come to your room to give you the service. This hotel was like 2 minutes walk to LE Taxi Be. There were a couple of disco's around, but it was empty when I went.

The guy came with a WiFi code but I didn't seem to work, I didn't bother complaining as I had my mobile with local sim. But yes, there was a system in place.

One thing though, they are constructing the 3rd floor, so its noisy post 8 am until 4 pm.

WiFi didn't work in room and sometimes no electricity, the generator is only for light. Charging any device is not possible during that time. Cleaning service until 12 o'clock.

Massage usually offered for 20 k and extra service should be discussed before.

Massages are on the beach or better in your room. I didn't see any massage parlors others said there are a few.

One more thing avoid hotel Gerard et Francine, no local guests allowed.

You are a kid yourself by thinking like that. Not mature enough to raise a kid. You need a family where everyone has responsibilities to give a child a future. You can't buy a well educated kid. No way. And if you think so as I said before you are not grown up yet.

Fuck the girls, enjoy, but avoid to make them pregnant.

If you have too much money, just sponsor orphans. Soo many in homes all over Africa.

They like to brag about having children from different women on different islands. Not paying child support only when they visit the mother, they stay with her for sex and some family life until they get their fix and move to the next "wife" on the next island and then to the next making turns as they please. They call it the Kirida tradition. Problems starts when the wife starts fighting for the no1 position. You will be pressed for more and more support because you are a foreigner with unlimited funds. A Filipino men has little money, they are poor but you will be pressured and harassed brutally and I don't think you have the skills to handle them like a local men.

My hotel was 60000 ariary per night but I negotiate 40000 ariary per night. Its not on the beach but close. I will not mention hotel name I keep it for myself not need to know for everyone and ruin the prices after. Hotel ambatoloaka is good hotel and its cost 100 k its not at beach but very close you can see sea from your room, have aircon, wifi and everything you need. I know 2 persons who stay here already and they both said its good for the price you get.probably you can negotiate this hotel also to lower price if you try .Well, congrats! Can you give us some tips for getting deep discounts around 35% for accommodation (especially if not renting a room for a month or longer), please?

And I wish you all healthy trips in the time of Corona!

I was thinking on having one kid with each girl and encouraging her to get married with a nice guy that will help raise my kid along with his.

With my financial support, I assume these girls will be attractive for husbands due to their income. And they'll be able to pay for decent education.

I wouldn't be surprised if their laws are similar to Western countries' but not enforced. To them you're a rich foreigner. Therefore opportunistic lawyers and even political and civil rights organization would join in the fight against the oppressor the symbol of the ongoing legacy of colonialism etc. To enforce the law to it's fullest. It's sounds crazy but often that's the reality of the Philippines and I have a feeling it's similar in other poor developing countries.

Sicko Dreamer.

If you want to help anyone, sponsor orphans. Or adopt a kid. That allows you still to fuck any girl but not to get her into troubles. A baby out of wedlock will throw her out of the society and no local guy will marry her anymore.

ADOPTIONS.

Anyone who would like to adopt a child may do so by donating an annual amount of €100. This money is subsequently deposited in a bank account in the name of the adopted child. When the child reaches the age of majority, the money that has accrued will help him in his studies, in his professional life, and in establishing a family life. The child's adoptive parents will receive the child's areésumé and photo: they will also be informed about the child's studies and progress. Raising another man's child is shameful that even the willing man's parents would disapprove. As you mentioned chances are that the step dad will be a pimp or an abusive man taking the money for his expenses. She will have difficulty to be accepted and taken seriously by society. Hotels are not financed by local poor people but by rich Indian businessmen or other foreign investors. Hotel prices for a good hotel in Afrika are more expensive then a comparable place in Thailand or other Asian countries.

In Mada you can get decent Hotels for 20 to 30 EU. Not in NosyBe, but in most other places. You can also stay in a dump for 15 EU or less, as Golfhino did show. But then -- where is the fun?

Salama: godmorning or good afternoon or even goodbye.

Vaovao: 'how are you ? 'but words have many meanings depending in which context just like the word tompoko it can mean "man" or "woman"

So SE, thanks for the reply it really helps.

Thanks.Hello L Travellr.

100 means 100 ariary fmg.

Or 100 k AR (fmg) if it's 100 k it's too too much.

Hello L Travellr.

100 means 100 ariary fmg. What is this nonsense of 100 AR (fmg)? Fmg does not exist since 2005. Sometimes the speak fmg then you divide by 5 to convert to AR.

No such thing as 100 means 100 ariary fmg.

Do you know the cost of living in rural areas in Madagascar, Kenya and other African countries? What would be the minimum "salary" I would have to pay a housewife to live reasonably comfortably and raise 4 kids without having to work?I think the best way to work this out is to have a child with a woman who is a single mother. It would be an amazing opportunity for all involved. I know a few of them, they very nice women, great mothers, but had the bad luck of getting pregnant and dumped by some trigger-happy idiot. In fact I have a friend who used to be a model, runs a successful maquillage business, has a super positive personality, has a super cute little daughter, has given up the hope of a proper partner, yet would love to have a second child. She's awesome. Get someone like her.

Or I also know a woman in her early 20's, who is trying to finish her studies while managing a kid, living with her parents. She's studying engineering, her degree project is some kind or robot, how cool is that? You could help her finish her studies, move out from her parents, get a good job, so she can also contribute economically and not be entirely dependant on you. You would be her hero, her parents too would love you.

In terms of costs, it depends on the economic level or location. Say a lower middle class in Tamatave or Fenerive, I would aim to give 150-200 $. Perhaps up to 400-500 $ for someone in Tana who is of a better social level. Maybe it bit more. You can also expect additional requests for medical bills for the family, etc. Up to you to manage that. Say you want your kid (and hers) to go to a nice private uni later on, that's about 1500 $ per year. Just to give you an idea.

You could show up once a year, bring some gifts like a new mobile phone or buy the in laws a new TV or something, and be treated like a king.

Some small update about tamatave: everything is open and seems nobody worried about coronavirus to much. Pattaya disco is dying on Saturday at 12.30 am at night was just 20-30 people in groups and non single girls available. Same situation was 3 weeks ago when i been here with another monger.
New York was fully packed some local singer was playing entry fee was 15 k ariary, lift was broken so need to climb all the way up through the stairs. Most of girls was with malagashy boyfriends or not good looking so left after 1 water. Taxi be was packed but quality is low could find any girl I like or see the same faces I already been taken before. Raining a lot now at tamatave last 4-5 days so weather its aint great!!

The United States, by contrast, has only 94 people per square mile.

I think this may help explain why the virus has had little traction in the States outside of NYC. By contrast in New York State it's 421, and in NYC it's 26,400.

At the moment Zero per square mile. At least at Ave Independence.A sight to behold. No pollution. No traffic. Never to be seen again in Antananarivo. Pussy paradise. And no problem to extend visa as there is no way to leave the isle rouge. Except maybe by boutre. Mangily would be now my preferred quarantine spot. Easy to sneak pussy in for an extended curfew session.

Then you can must be anticipating 3rd world standards for your stay. The good news is a beachfront bungalow (in Tamatave, attached photos) can be had for 25,000 ariary (that's 7 dollars!) leaving you more of your hard-earned cash to splurge on food, drink, and procuring your dates.I regret I had invested a lot of extra money for accommodation in many of my previous trips.

I had a clean, big room with comfort in Jakarta which cost 15 USD per day for my first Indonesia trip, many restaurants around and not far to go everywhere.

A dump.

Near Tamatve you can find clean and well furnished seaview rooms for a little more. (Pic1).

And near Tulear you get for that rate a beach bungalow in much better condition (Pic2).

If you are ok to spend about 80.000 MGA you can everywhere get a very nice room to stay.

Yes. Correct.

The seaview room is about 80 k..80 k is small money its just 21 USD. In Kenya no such price can be found on a beach so the real question is about girls, Does you are able to get girls that you like in order to justify the effort to get all the way there. If yes then its fantastic bargain.

Toliara city hotels always leave something to be desire and no beach. Mangily is more then 100 k. Sure you can rent a dog house and convince yourself that you are an explorer a true African pioneer.

Nosy Be? After I got multiple disease there I thing I am not coming back. So now only Toliara option remain.

About the Ylang Ylang apartments in Ambataloaka, Nosy Be, mentioned here before. If you don't particularly care about your accommodation Ylang Ylang is a pretty good find. In Januari 2020 rooms with fridge were 50 k but they are in a bad state. Locationwise you can't get any better. They have free sunbeds to use in front of the sea. You can get the girls from the beach directly to your room. And in the evening you can enjoy the sunset with a cool seabreaze and a glass of wine under the palmtrees while the others are sweating it out. You are also only 200 m from the nightlife at Taxi Be or Billiard. They have no sign outside and no internet presence. You can find the location on mapsdotme. I couldn't handle the sight of the rooms. They where renovating some when I was there.

I stayed at Ocean 501 Hotel in 2017. I had paid MGA 76,000. 00 for one night for a double room on the first floor. I think it was room number 6. Your can see the beach and sea from the room and its terrace is nice space to relax.

The forum has been very quiet. Anyone in the country that can report a reliable status? I have heard a variety of things. Mainstream news has little information with only 121 confirmed cases, certainly an underestimate. Meanwhle, Malagasy friends are reporting stories of people dropping dead in the streets of Tana, almost certainly unrealistic hysteria coupled with lots of conspiracy theory, a common response I think to lack of good information and the distrust of the govt.

Anyone living there have a better feeling for how many cases there are? Are people dying? In infection risk high?

Thanks. VL.

Thanks. VL.My take on Covid19 is. Its basically the seasonal flu albeit apparently more contagious. It needs the right conditions to rapidly spread. I. e. No wind, high humidity, temperatures around 10°. For me the major annoyance is that I'm stuck in Covid prison as there is no flights. There's a boatload of tropical diseases that are more dangerous in Madagascar. Check the normal death rates. On a good day in Italy 1800 people die for example. I don't think it will spread a lot in African countries. It's simple too hot there. People in the slums will die of hunger because of the idiocy of governments imposing lock downs. Two of my German friends live in Morandave. Their biggest worry is civil unrest. Hungry people plunder their house and make off with the flat screen TV. Not Covid19.

La Buse.I thought that too. What you described is the characteristics of a flu virus cell. However, this virus is spreading in all indoor and outdoor environments, temperature, humidity and wind. Its being spread not just from coughing but by the breathing of humans and pets alike. It will likely come in heavy waves until most people either develop immunity or until a vaccination is feasible.

How can you assume it works after testing it on 2 people? This is ridiculous.Well, the placebo effect does work (scientifically proved), so maybe an infected person could have drank the herbal remedy before reading your post and get cured, after it's very unlikely.

It's always better to see the glass half full and have hope. That's exactly why Mada president is optimistic, I mean who will vote for pessimistic president that associate himself with bad news. Look at Trump Corona task force daily briefing he his over optimistic and yes the curve is flatting. Here in Thailand we reach 13 case per day and decreasing. Hot weather helps? Absolutely.

That's why I am counting that my trip to Toliara in late August will be as planed.

First post, so be nice. It's also a bit of an essay so apologies.

Over the last half week or so I've read (literally) the last 50 pages of the Mada forum and more than the odd page from one or two other countries too, so the RTFF box (for Mada at least) is ticked. I've got the general gist of what to expect.

I have a particular set of needs (don't pull up a chair it isn't that juicy) some of which are in common with the ethos of the board, some not. I've posted in Mada as I can see there is a fair bit of experience here, and importantly some with differing opinions and thoughts regularly posting here.

I am early 50's (look younger & in decent nick) and I want to go to somewhere in Africa flying from UK, probably for 3-4 weeks. Exactly when depends on the venue / climate and obviously see-19 lock down being lifted. I speak English, a little French (I can and will improve if need be) and less Spanish. I would consider bouncing to a few different venues, maybe 5/6/7 days in each place depending on logistics, cost of internal flights / transport time etc. This could include different countries in close proximity. So with that in mind, I'd value the advice as to what country / countries might fit my needs as a first timer to Africa bearing in mind the following wants / needs.

1. I am an experienced traveler but I am travelling alone so safety is paramount. Yes I know sh1t can happen everywhere. I won't be flashing the cash & acting like Billy Big Bo11ocks. I won't be sporting a vlogging camera on a 10 ft selfie stick or have a 1000 Canon hanging round my neck, but neither do I want to spend 3 weeks looking over my shoulder or worrying I might get stabbed for chatting up a local girl.

2. I want a good choice of bars and restaurants, within a safe walk and / or where taxis / transport are easy to get and plentiful. Getting safely back to the room is a major priority should I have the odd late night.

3. Fishing. Specifically I must have places with fishing close by. By fishing I do not mean charter boats and tourist excursions (I can find this out elsewhere). I mean places where I can literally rock out of my room at dawn / dusk and within a short walk be next to the water albeit by a beach, a lake, or a river. The quality of the fishing isn't massively important, it just needs to be accessible and as aesthetically pleasing a place as possible. The option of a longer walk or a taxi / bike ride to somewhere more remote is also a plus.

4. Last but not least, the reason we are here. The ideal scenario for me is somewhere I can blend in without too much fuss. Where I can easily make an acquaintance or two & have a bit of a crack. I'm not really one for 'Hi. How much?' as an opening line. It's not my thing. I like a rapport. That said after 5 days of sleeping alone, who knows?

Thanks in advance.

.Welcome to the Mada-thread. Not many newcomers do an intro as you did but only ask silly questions which are written here before. They get a bashing.

But let me answer your questions as someone going there since 2008.

You will be safe as experienced traveller. Just follow the rules for single travellers not to show up, be friendly but still watch your back. And you will be fine.

Improve your french language skills if you want to venture further than Glacier Disco. Even many of the girls not speak french well. But if there are any problems, someone will.

If you want to stay in places where many events are in walking distance you may note Tana center for the start, then Tamatave, NosyBe, IleStMarie, Tulear / Mangily and perhaps DiegoSuarez. Don't try to cover all. Distances are far. In 3 weeks, select 2 or 3 and also visit in between some of the parks along the road. And if you book taxi brousse or Cotisse bus well in advance, the style of travelling is not that bad but time consuming. Stay flexible with your planning.

Big Game Fishing operators you find in NosyBe and Toamasina. Select the right time of the year. Fly-fishing in the streams in the parks is possible, but you can't stay there overnight.

Good luck -- and if you discover something new, let us know.

What du you mean by aesthetically pleasing. LOLThank you very much for your help, most kind.

Wrt 'aesthetically pleasing' I was referring to the surrounding countryside, the scenery, sea views etc. To have fishing on my doorstep in a beautiful spot is a massive deal (to me). After personal safety it is the biggest issue, wherever I stay. I especially like to find places where the fishing spots are not crowded or, as yet, too heavily commercialized. That said, I appreciate that 'aesthetically pleasing' can have other connotations, which also make for a more interesting day when the fishing is slow. I would not be opposed to this either.

I have family and friends who have visited Kenya and whilst they have said nothing to put me off, it does seem to be the first stop in Africa for many UK tourists, perhaps subconsciously that's why I never ventured to that forum first? I do have a need for something a bit off the beaten path, different from the usual tourist locations. That said, I will absolutely take your advice on board and start reading those forums in earnest. Thank you once again.
