I am planning my first trip to Nosy Be

Is there an English speaking hangout for expats?

I will do some boots on the ground searching for a place to stay, but I am open to referrals.

Thanks.Consider this. When I went I just met one native English speaking mongerer in more than a month. A seasoned, confident punter will probably be ok. But if you want to hang out with English expats why bother with Madagascar? There's so many Anglo African countries with beautiful women to choose from.

I have learned a lot from the experience of hardcore Africa guys but I've also learned that their interests not necessarily equal mine. Most stay for a longer periods month (s) + and as such want to stretch their $ as far as possible and that is fine. But if you are a 2-3 week holiday maker do you really want to put up with the sub level infrastructure, living and travel conditions Madagascar has to offer?

What I want to say is don't limit yourself to a tunnel vision where only the price of a WG matters when you should be looking at the total package. Does it really matter to you that much if you pay 10 or 20 usd for a girl? If it doesn't there's a host of other countries to choose from.

Planning my first trip to Mada. Will arrive next week and could spend up to 3 months. Only interested in places with beaches.

Based upon reports, it looks like Nosy Be is a good starting point for a first-timer like myself. I speak decent French and have a healthy budget, so I plan to also visit:

Antsiranana

Mahajanga

Toliara

So my question. . . From Nosy Be, what is a logical travel plan to visit these other places? What order makes sense?

P.S.

I'm undecided about Toamasina. It was initially on my list because reports say the ladies are mostly black (my preference) and quite beautiful. However, I removed it after reading there is no swimming in its ocean due to sharks. Now I'm on the fence. Is Toamasina worth it? If yes, then where would it fit in the travel plan above?

If yes, then where would it fit in the travel plan above?I never been to Nosy Be and Mahajanga, but a geographical plan would be if you start in Nosy Be to go to Mahajanga and at last to Toliara, which is full south of mada.

With 3 months you have time to experiment some coastal roads, but they are the worst based on my readings here, but they can give some so nice surprise, with some girls found in villages, maybe it could be a plan. At least from Morondava but take advices as I didn't experiment these ways very difficult and long.

Also, Mada has suffered a lot, as usual, but the covid period has surely added a lot of pain, without tourists many hotels could be closed now. So take advices from people who knows.

What I can talk about is the way to Toliara from Tana.

In Tana, I stayed at hotel Sole, quite nice, I had a good session with the girl doing massage inside the hotel, not usual apparently but she agreed!

I stayed also in Select Hotel, not so good but can be a choice too.

Excellent restaurant "Les Artistes" where you can find rooms also.

And LE Glacier which is the place to be at least once maybe.

Easiest could be by plane but you miss all sightseeing along the road 7 going to Toliara from mada via Antsirabe and Fianarantsoa.

This way by the road is long, better to plan 2 or 3 days with a stop in Fiana and Isalo National Park depending if you like to visit some beautiful landscape.

From Mada I took Cotisse, very good transport. After I had a driver with his car, he drove me to Isalo where we stayed one night "Chez Alice", very nice lodge, with a trek in Isalo Park.

Then drive again up to Toliara but be careful, some parts of this road are risky after 5 pm and at night, Dahalo's are targetting buses and sometimes taking some lifes in addition to all the belongings of passengers.

In Toliara stayed at Hotel Serena. From there you can walk in the evening to the avenue bord de mer, and have dinner at Etoile de Mer where you will see girls hanging along the avenue.

Then the best part, for me, I went to Ifaty by tuktuk, beautiful coral lagoon with so nice beaches, to Hotel Bella Donna, excellent place where you will find a french chef cooking like a Gault & Millau 3 stars!

2 rooms are on the shore, very quiet, and I took benefit of one masseuse, not the most beautiful, I tried several, but we had a very good fit between us, so every days I had my massage, very good, in the room, followed by a full service. So nice reminds.

I did a trip also to see the whales in the sea outside the lagoon, beautiful sight there. I went 2 times, 1st I didn't saw very well the whales, but second they were just close to us.

So, this was what I did, but was in 2018 so many things happen up to now. At least I know that Bella Donna is still there in Ifaty, so you should try, at least for the food.

And if you speak french no problem to manage all the trip.

Oh yeah, for anyone wanting to RTFF.

1. First learn the names and locations of the largest 8-10 Malgache cities AND their French synonyms by hard. People will use them interchangeably. If you do not know both you will be utterly confused. I didn't and had to RTFF twice.

You don't have to read the whole forum. You can start in 2017 and discount the corona period. Barring some exceptions it's mostly rubbish written by bored punters like myself.

Once you have pinpointed cites of interest you can fine tune by searching the whole forum by place in Malgache and French.

2. Itineraries should be thought of in time and comfort and not in distance. 70 km could take you between 1-10 hours depending on the area / road conditions.

3. Carefully take note of any taxi brousse offering designated seats, 1 person / 1 seat. Any other can bring you untold pain and misery and is at your own risk. Personally never again. I prefer hitchhiking instead.

4. Visit the Tsaradia website for local flights and learn which flights are on offer. There's a high probability you will need one.

5. If you are too lazy to RTFF read the posts written by Neddy69, Pokeris, Amadeuss, SouthEaster, Golfinho, the Expert and others.

The main 4 punting areas are Tana (mainly nightclubs), Nosy Be, Tamatave and Tulear.

The vast majority of WG in any place are cotieres meaning coastal dwellers that have more African features. If I remember well the darkest girls can be found in the south.

I did a couple that could be described as half castes. One in the highlands in Antsirabe and one in Manakara.

BTW, didn't see any sunbathing or swimming in Tulear / Toliara either. The beach is dirty. You can go to Mangily but you have to take a taxi brousse to get there but it basically is just a small village with a nice beach.

You're not going to get shark eaten splashing around waist deep with a girl or three, even if you're an American that 'speaks decent French. ' Morondava has a beautiful beach -- one that gives dirty a whole new meaning. Check it out and reframe your frame of reference.

Albert9989, I appreciate the info. I would prefer to travel overland, but you mentioned the Dahalos targetting buses. Is this an issue across the whole country?

Golfinho, both you and Tailpipe have said Tulear (Toliara) is not the best beach destination, so it's now out. Replaced it with Sambava. And good point about the sharks, so I'll check out Tamatave (Toamasina).

Updated list for beach trip, in order:

Nosy Be
Mahajanga (Majunga)

Sambava

Albert9989, I appreciate the info. I would prefer to travel overland, but you mentioned the Dahalos targetting buses. Is this an issue across the whole country?

There are many roads which are qualified as dangerous, at least it was the case when I was there in 2018, but all drivers knows, and they will tell you if you can or not take that road and at what time.

Antsirabe to Morondava road for example was also a road to take during day only.

But at the end, if you follow the advices of knowing people nothing will happen, you just have to be aware and not decide to go anywhere without taking care.

Last point is about beaches.

I agree fully that Toliara / Tulear doesn't have beaches, but we don't go there for beaches, its the place to meet girls and there was a great choice there.

But at about 1/2 HR distance with a good road, you have Mangily or Ifaty, and there you can find a marvellous beach.

I add some pics, one from Google maps showing were is Ifaty from Tulear, and the other taken from inside a cottage which is on the beach, at Hotel Bella Donna in Ifaty.

If you find a good girl in Tulear then you can bring her there in Ifaty and spend some marvellous days and nights, or you can just decide to rest a bit there.

You can also stay in Ifaty and do the go and back to Tulear during the day to get some girls and bring them back. Some can be found also in the ifaty village at evening.

So, up to you, depend how you want to spend your time. 3 months is a lot, you have time to go in many places.

Morondava also has nice beaches and nice girls, good to check. But road is a bit long. Close to there you have the famous Baobab Alley, good to give a visit also.

Updated list for beach trip, in order:

Nosy Be

Antsiranana (Diego Suarez)
Sambava
Toamasina (Tamatave)Neither Diego nor Sambava do have beaches for swimming. Its not only about the sharks but more of the strong waves and currents. That refers to the whole east coast. However, an upcoming place is Saklava Bay near Diego: a home for kiters. You can find new hotels (rooms above 50. - a nice fine sand beach, a lot of wind for kiting but not much on nightlife, except you wish to fuck a backpacker girl there.

Near Tamatave you can visit Fenerive. The beach there is gentle and you can find nice beach cottages. Or go further to Ile St Marie: beautiful beaches, boutique hotels and willing girls not in bars but just from the brousse. Go explore.

Took a look at the Tsaradia website. Any interior flight lands or departs from Tana now. There used to be a flight from Nosy - Antsiranana, Tamatave - Sainte-Marie and Toliara - Toalagnaro. Maybe they'll reinstate them in the future idk.

Imo the Ministry of Sex Tourism ought to organise direct flights between Nosy Be, Toliara and Tamatave. Would make life a lot easier!

A card issued by USA Bank not accepted on line, at call center in Paris, or in person. As for the travel agents advertizing on Skyscanner: they could not complete the transaction. The only one that worked back in March was travel2be, but they're located, I believe, in Ukraine so you might not want to take your chances with them at the moment.

For hotels in Tulear: if you're a truly cheap person, there's the Albatros Hotel at $15 usd. The Palm Hotel is $20: recommended.

Looks like things are looking up. More air routes as of July 14 which is nice. Now if they would just drop the bloody PCR test requirement it would make things a lot easier. I am currently looking at Vancouver. Amsterdam - CDG. Tana for end of September. The only place I need a PCR test for is TANA! I could have a long layover in Amsterdam. Anybody know if there is rapid PCR testing there and approximate cost?

Hopefully by then they will drop the PCR requirement. And clear up the chaos in European airports! Pearson in Toronto is currently one of the worst on the planet.

"Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of a negative PCR, NAT, NAAT, or RT-LAMP test result, taken within the previous 72 hours of departure. Alternatively, proof of a negative professionally administered antigen test result, taken the day before departure, is also accepted. " Has this been the case all along? I thought the PCR was required by ALL arrivals not just non vaxxed. Has anybody who has arrived recently, say within the last few weeks done this and is the norm? I have been looking at flights for days now and the logistics involved from the west coast of Canada are a big pain in the ass but there is a good option YVR-AMS- CDG-TNR which gives me 20 hours on the ground in Amsterdam, which I do not mind to rest up and then a quick hop to Paris before connecting to Tana. I am fully vaxxed and if no pre departure testing is needed it would make my trip a lot easier. And the money I save on not testing will pay for my hotel in Amsterdam! Any feed back welcome.

And when you leave Madagascar if your destination country requires covid 19 test before arrival then you will have to pay 290.000 AR for the test fee here. (It is the rate for foreigners) For locals its only 100.000 AR haha.

If you happen to come across this girl on Facebook, don't waste your time.

She will promise you the moon, and then ask for "taxi" money upfront.

Thankfully I didn't fall for it, but she eventually admitted that she never had any intention of showing up. Trying to run a scam is her gig.

Just arrived in Madagascar for the first time. Initial reports are on the way. But first, want to confirm the current requirements for arrival. My port of entry is Nosy Be international airport, and I arrived on Air Austral (via Reunion island).

At least 72 hours before arrival, apply online for your tourist visa.

Within two days, you will receive an email with your visa pre-approval attached as a .pdf

Print this document and carry it with you. Upon arrival, show the pre-approval document to the immigration official and pay in cash. The price is $45 USD / 40 euros for a 60-day tourist visa, which can be extended for an additional 30 days (a total of 90 days).

A negative PCR COVID test is required 72 hours before departure.

ALL passengers must also pay for a COVID test upon arrival at the airport. This is required, regardless of vaccination status. The test costs $20 USD / 15 euro.

Quick test on arrival in Mada no more.

If Tsaradia is cancelling their tests for local flights is blurr: some news say yes, some say no. Its done anyway direct at the airport before departure. No big hassle.

On departure in Tana it depends on the entrance-rules of your country. But you better have documents from your embassy on hand. Sometimes over eager staff claim that all foreigners needs to be tested.

The situation in Antananarivo is not like before the pandemic, bars like manson are not crowded and most of the time you see not so beautiful and desperate girls. I guess provencial girls know that there is no vazaha and they don't come to Antananarivo, even street walker scene is not like before.

Bathrooms are dated but hot water is working (important in the cold months in Tana). Also WiFi is ok. Some of the beds are wobbly. But never they broke down. When checkin in, ask to have a look at available rooms. Most rooms facing the road are ok.

At night its ok to walk from Glacier up the stairs to the hotel, although the area is a bit dicey.

Well according to the IATA map, Mada has dropped "ALL" health restrictions for entry. I noticed in a post by choclatehunter something I had not seen before, a requirement to apply for a tourist visa 72 hours before you arrive. Is this for real? Never heard of it before. Also, some other health form also required to be filled out pre arrival. I assume all of this is dead now or am I wrong?

I'm in Nosy Be for the first time, so here are some observations and tips which may be useful others. Special thanks to Pokeris for his reports and direct messages before I arrived.

Note: Current exchange rate for 1 U.S. dollar / 1 Euro is 4,100 ariary (AR)

AMBATOLOAKA
The center of the action in Nosy Be is a small town on the southwest coast called Ambatoloaka (Amba-TOO-LOO-ka). It's walkable with a great beach, lots of beautiful women, and a relaxing vibe.

TRANSPORT
Tuktuks are easy and cheap. You can go anywhere in Ambatoloaka for 1,000 AR, and a trip to Hellville (20 minutes) costs 3,000 AR.

GETTING CASH
I use two ATMs in town every day. The BNI Madagascar ATM accepts both Visa and Mastercard. The BMOI Bank ATM accepts only Visa. Neither bank charges a transaction fee, and their exchange rates are close to the official rate of 4,100.

PRICES
According to other tourists I've spoken to, Nosy Be is the most expensive part of the country. Having said that, the U.S. Dollar and Euro are strong, so I don't personally find Nosy Be expensive. For example, I typically spend 15,000 AR for a meal (whole fish / quarter chicken, rice, and vegetables). A bottle of water / soda at the supermarket costs 2,000 AR.

BARS
The two main bars in town are Taxi Be and Billiard (pronounced Bee-Yaa). They are next to each other, and are the focus of most action. You can hunt just these two bars since they are full of ladies. Action starts around 10 pm nightly. A bottle of beer / soda / water costs 5,000 AR.

LADIES
They are plentiful and very cooperative. The typical lady I see is 1. 68 M, 50 kg, medium brown skin. Similar appearance to ladies from Dominican Republic and Brazil. Most wear their natural hair in afros, twists, puffs, braids, etc. I pay 40,000 AR for short term, and 60,000 AR for long term. I've had no complaints so far. There seems to be no shame, guilt, or judgement from the local community; these ladies are providing a service to make money to support themselves and their families.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Lots of choices, depending on your budget. You can spend several hundred Euros per night if you want a top hotel. My first couple of nights were at budget-friendly Hotel Benjamin, not far from the beach. I paid 100,000 AR per night. Then I moved to a hotel which is on the beach. I'm now paying 65,000 AR per night. I also visited another hotel on the beach called Chez Pat. They have rooms starting at 70,000 AR per night.

BEACH
Ambatoloaka Beach is clean, easy to walk, and great for swimming. Plenty of hotels and restaurants to choose from, and the local Malagasy people also spend a lot of time here. Vendors are everywhere, selling t-shirts, essential oils, jewelry, etc. And lots of sunbeds on the beach with ladies who offer a massage for 20,000 AR. These ladies will also come to your hotel room for more services.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
Many ladies do not have smartphones, so Whatsapp is not common here. Be prepared to send a lot of SMS text messages. Most have Facebook, so Messenger is also popular.

LANGUAGE
English won't get you very far here. All ladies speak Malagasy, which I don't, and about 80% speak French. I speak a little French, and a little goes a VERY long way. Conversation topics are repetitive (How are you? What's your name? Where are you from? How did you sleep? What are you doing tonight? When can we see each other?) so it's not difficult to learn the local French.

INTERNET
For mobile data, I bought a SIM card with Orange, and it works fine. I paid 30,000 AR for 4. 5 GB of data. The other service provider is Telma, but many tourists have told me Telma's service in Ambatoloaka is poor. Also, I regularly buy bundles of 450 SMS text message for 3,000 AR to chat with the ladies (see Digital Communication above). Wi-fi networks are available at many bars and restaurants. Just order a juice, and ask for the password.

BE CAREFUL
There are a lot of underage girls on the beach and in the streets. Always ask for an identification card. My hotel has security, and he takes the identification card when a lady arrives, then he returns it when she leaves.

The Malagasy health bulletin, in French, of 11th August 2022, clearly states that both testing-on-arrival in Madagascar, and pre-departure testing (within 72 hours prior to arrival from abroad), have been scrapped. This has been reflected by the US embassy in Madagascar's advice https://mg.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/:

"Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? No.

Effective August 11, 2022, the Government of Madagascar has ended all COVID-19 testing requirements for entry.

Are health screening procedures in place at airports and other ports of entry? No.

Proof of vaccination is not required for entry.

The Government of Madagascar no longer allows free tourist visa extensions. Those on tourist visas must purchase a ticket to depart Madagascar and then go to the Immigration Office or Ivato Airport to get a stamp allowing them to remain until their return ticket date."

At 4%, Madagascar has the second-lowest Covid-vaccine take-up rate in Africa, after PDR Congo. Compare that to 95% in Manila and 60-70% in the Philippine provinces. This is good news for anti-vaxers concerned about shedding effects during exchange of body fluids.

https://edition.cnn.com/interactive/2021/health/global-covid-vaccinations/

Sex destinations no longer requiring Covid-vaccination, tests or quarantine include Madagascar, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia & Cuba. Thailand, Myanmar, Colombia: test. Philippines, Singapore, Brazil: vaccination.

Yellow fever certificates are only required for travel between endemic countries, e.g. Colombia > Brazil (both endemic) or Kenya (endemic) > Madagascar (non-endemic); Western countries (non-endemic) > Madagascar (non-endemic), not required; Western countries (non-endemic) > Colombia (endemic), not required; transit only, not required.

Thanks for your comment! It's very interesting but you say you pay only 60 000 for LT with ladies? But it's only 15 euros? How look the ladies for this price? Are they young and sexy? Or they're old, fat.Yes 15 euros for the night. And yes there are many young (18-23 years) and sexy ladies.

Money isn't a problem for me. I can pay easily 100 euros per day if the lady is sexy.Just be careful not to overpay since this could spoil the local market. Remember this is Madagascar, not Thailand. For example, many of the hotel and restaurant workers in Ambatoloaka don't earn 100 euros for a whole month of work (10 hours per day, 6 days per week). So 15 euros to a lady for one night is happily accepted.

Because I just come back from Thailand and I'm planning to visit Madagascar and Nosy Be, and I really love sexy ladies who are between 18/25. I don't want ladies who are more than 30.

Money isn't a problem for me. I can pay easily 100 euros per day if the lady is sexy. Please don't go! Stay in Pattaya.

It fits better to your needs as you can "buy" ladies there on the meat market. If you throw money in Mada you will attract the gold diggers and cheaters. The leftover trash. They will find you as the mosquitos the light.

What do you think of this plane company AIR AUSTRAL? Are they good or not? Because I'm thinking to book my plane ticket with them but the reviews on this company are very bad. So did you like travel with them?

Waitress from taxibe or biliard bar at Nosybe is getting 200 k ariary per month which is around 48 euros so you think twice when you think price would start with 40/50 euros.

My hotel has security, and he takes the identification card when a lady arrives, then he returns it when she leaves.Nice accurate report. Welcome to Madagascar! If you are still there, try Tatie Chris, a big dance party every Sunday night up the beach in Madirokely.

Read a little bit some tens of pages backward in this forum first please.I'm same like all the guys on this forum. Sometimes guys say me ladies are sexy, but they're about 35/40 and look old and fat.

So that's why I'm very skeptical about have a sexy lady for all the night for 15 Euros. For 15 euros, I'd love to see a picture of the ladies you have to see if she's really sexy or not!

If to have a sexy lady, we need to pay more like 100 euros I'm totally OK with that! And seriously, we're from Europe or America or any rich country, and I really would feel bad to spend all the night with a lady for only 15 euros. It's a shame!

As for your your hurt feelings over 15 euro per night salary. I think its fine. One can eat a week for that. I personally pay less but I enjoy lower quality. If you want to give her more then you can but there is no need to whiteknight around like an imbecile. Be prepared to get milked if you pay absurd amounts.

I think it's you who is a shame. As you are spoiling the market!!

If you are in Europe or US and you pay 300 to a call-girl, this may be a 3rd of her monthly apartment rent.

So if I pay in Madagascar a girl 15 Euro that's already her one 3rd of her rent too!! What's wrong with this!? Nothing!

And what's the argument "we are a rich country" !?
We are already paying (forced to pay) a kind of immense high fee for facilitating to arrive at these countries. Let's assume flight 1000 Euro, others expenses 1500 Euro = 2500 Euro in total, probably more. Stay of 14 days, let's assume 14 girls sponsored, 2500/14 = about 180 Euro spent already on our side per girl to make her happy !!

It you who is wrong!

Cosmo.

Arrived Madirokely Saturday and it was good many girls out but I was tired from not sleeping 24 hours so my judgement could be questioned. Took 1 with me and can not complain about the performance but I would estimate we fell asleep at 01.30 and then apparently she set her phone alarm to 07.00 and wanted to have her second round then, fuck no. Sent her away and fell asleep again. Next time I will tell them I sleep until I wake up and there will be no alarm going off, or else they are not coming with me.

Sunday was a disaster. Only attractive girls was some of the waitresses and I am not waiting until 03.00 when they finish. Only pros that like to smoke and drink, no interaction. Last time I went here was in 2019 and I remember Sunday's being bad but not to this level.

I am here for diving also so I have other things to do also. I will give it a week to evaluate if it is as bad as my first impressions?

Then maybe move on to Toamasina or Toliara?

It was started in a report below that Mastercard is working in BMI, that is not correct. There is a picture outside the ATM claiming to accept Mastercard but it is not working, I tried 3 different cards. BMI takes Visa but will only give you 200000 per transaction. BMOI gives you 400000 per transaction, have not tried higher. So be prepared to come here with a Visa otherwise it will be very cumbersome going 30 min in tuktuk on hellish road everytime you need cash. I guess they must have ATMs in Hellville that actually accepts Mastercard but that can be confirmed by someone else.

I've seen reports of extending a tourist visa in Tamatave and Tana, but I can't find anything about getting an extension in Nosy Be. Does anyone have details? They can't do the visa extension in NB right now (or at least they couldn't 30 days ago), the passport will need to go to Diego Suarez.

You can go to the PAF (police of the frontier) at fascene or at the port in Hellville, they sent quite often a policeman with several passports to do the extension (but it's more expensive than the regular price if you do it by yourself in Diego).

If you have the need for large withdrawals, you can go inside the bank to use your debit card rather than do multiple ATM withdrawals and avoid the ATM fees; depending on the time of day it can be quick since you get on a different queue than most people there. But ATMs are definitely easier if you are not withdrawing millions. With all of these I get a 1% exchange fee, but that might be my own bank (.

Before there was only the 10.000 Ariary note. Now the ATM dispenses 20 k notes most of times. So. What you do? 40 k is sometimes not enough. So it'll be 60 k. I had several times problems with change. No 10 k notes. I'll be landing shortly on Isle Rouge the first time since 2019 too. Let's see how it goes.

La Buse. That shouldn't be an issue. After I pulled from the ATM I just asked bni bank next to relais normand hotel to change the fresh 20 k notes to 5 and 2 k notes. Costs nothing. Waited maybe 10 minutes. If you only need a few small bills can always just go shoprite, restaurants or places which have change and always pay with the biggest 20 k bill so youll always have change.

She's ok to come pick me in airport when I arrive and spend all the holidays with me. In fact she's looking for a true husband who will take care of her. She's ok to fuck 2 times per day. She sent me many pictures of her and we did 2 video calls. She's the same girl like on the pictures. I love her a lot but I don't expect nothing from her right now. This depends on you. Antananarivo could be interesting for city travellers. So many old cars, old taxis (where else you can see this? Only Cuba probably) horrible traffic, chaos, pollution, danger at night.

Nosy be is great for sea and beach lovers. How long time will you have in total?

Yeah, FB.

In the two and half year break I spent a lot of time trolling on FB for girls, and amassed a collection of possibilities. For those unfamiliar, it is just a matter of combing through profiles and Friending pretty girls. Some of them accept the Friend Request, others don't. For those that do, that alone is the first indication that they are available / looking. Once they accept, send a Message chat. If they respond immediately, good chance they are looking, and you start up a chat with them. I have tried various strategies, sometimes being too direct doesn't work and they shut you done, even unfriend you. Other times you quickly start chatting about sex and what is on the menu. My french is poor, so I use a translator. When I got to Nosy Be and started to look them up, it was hit and miss. I contacted about 8 of them, I think about 4 or 5 responded, and I managed to hook up with only 2. One was not worth it really, nice enough but no chemistry, and she was obviously not into it. The other was a serious sex machine, despite her very sweet FB profile, quite shocking actually, totally took me my surprise as I thought she was a "good" girl. But she wasnt at all! Ranked among the best I have had, very PSE, not GFE, everything on the menu, hard core DT, gagging and swallow, highly experienced for a young looking 19 yo, and was definitely there for the money, but excellent.

I have to admit I am not sure FB was worth the trouble, at least for as much time as I put in, which I think was too much time after the fact. I also found a couple girls at Tatie Chris and Ambotoloka, in the more traditional way, and I think I like more the opportunity to mingle, flirt and make a choice. One of them was my sweetheart for most of the trip, true GFE and trying hard to please me and make me feel like a king. Between her and the FB puta, I traded off different nights with each and had both my PSE and GFE girls. One thing I did notice was a lack of girls in Ambotoloka that met my minimum standards. Not sure which has changed, that I seek hotter girls now, or if they have got rougher at the bars. Tatie Chris was the much better place for "la chasse".

Happy hunting and be safe. Capt.

Got in a couple of days back. Still no fan of Tana and waiting to get out. Fuck of a time getting over the jetlag from Canada. Will post a longer blurb on first impressions later when I get into a place with decent wifi. Staying in Shanghai for the first time and it's OK except for the absolute shit internet. Still better than Canada! Better go before I lose this.

Isoraka and further up towards the rova. Now it's spring. The Bougainville will be in full bloom. Yes down in the belly of Tana it's different. That's the polluted traffic jammed Tana with beggars money changers and Street walkers. Fine with me as I'm not a beach addict. I love to explore on foot. And so much pussy from the whole country. Plus good restaurants and patisserie. The only drawback is transport. It is how it is. Still I consider Tana much better than say Kampala. And you can't avoid it entirely as you always have to transit through it. Especially if you traverse Madagascar on Taxi Brousse. Traditionally I stay in Tana a week for warm up. Then I consider my options. East to Tamatave West to Morondava or Mahajanga. South to Antsirabe Fianar or Tulear. I occasionally fly but only to the North I. E. Diego or NB. Internet. I can't be bothered with so called free wi-fi. The first thing I get is a Telma 4 G bundle plus orange telephone credit. Enjoy.

Hi all, it has been a while since I posted. I was wonderig about Glacier and other venues like it. How it all works and what the girls expect. I am thankful for any info.Soon an answer to your post as next week I come back in Tana.

I plan to stay at least 10 days at tana. Hotel sole, Shanghai hotel are full so I will go to Relais Normand even if I got a big problem in 2019. (steal of my cash) but this hotel is in the center, cheap and the room are big.

I Will check Manson LE Glacier, taxi be. And as Neddy I will stroll along during the day.

After I plan to check in an hotel with a swimming pool like flots bleu if the weather permitted.

I already went to hotel Carlton 1 day but it is too expensive but the inside swimming pool is beautiful.

After I will go tulear or morondava or majunga, tamatave.

I am looking for a cheap hotel with a clean swimming pool? Any advice,?

I just took the taxi brousse from Tana to Diego and all I can say is DON'T. 31 hours of vehicular torture point to point. The northern section of the road from Tana is basically many stretches of unsurfaced dirt with 2-3 foot ravines running through them. Once it rains it will be nigh on impassible. The section north of Ambilobe used to have several stretches of reasonable road before the latter shitshow of the next part. Those sections are largely gone now and it has been reduced to a homogenous rubble of loose rocks and gravel around the size of golf balls. Anything over 10 k / h results in a teeth chattering ride combined with lots of bumps and swerving. After 20 hours or so I started to get the same feeling you get when you step off a ship and it feels like you are swaying side to side but in this case you just feel like you are bouncing all over. After 31 hours I could barely keep my feet! All I can say is never again and for all you cheap charlies (I am one!) think twice. No think three times.

Some observations:

On exit from the new terminal you no longer have the free for all haggling with numerous taxis. They have changed it to a single stand with a fixed price of 70 K, an absolute bullshit price. When I stepped out I looked around in the dark in vain and since it was after midnight and I was dead tired I paid. I am not sure about the domestic flights and if they still use the old airport. I hope so as I am sure you can avoid this scam.

As mentioned before Shanghai hotel is reasonably priced and good location, La Ribaudiere not far away is good but the regular prices are not. If you can book ahead it may be OK. Sole seems permanently booked and the price has gone up about 30-40 %.

Glacier is a little fixed up but otherwise much the same. Lots of girls hanging about and I found a couple doable ones but don't expect any beauty queens! It is largely a matter of luck if any really tasty ones are there or arrive when you are there. Price for beer has gone up 33%.

Food in general seems up around 10-20%. Beer at reasonable places is only up a bit but restaurants are charging about 50% more for wine! Absolute bullshit. New taxes?

I have also noted that supermarket have gotten rid of a lot of the cheaper goods, including lower end wine which used to be a bargain, at least on occasion, and the Score in Diego has dropped a lot of the more expensive meats like salamis. I guess they were not being bought much during covid and they have yet to come back. They have dropped any inexpensive wine too.

As for girls here, I went straight to bed last night as lack of sleep, food and the just plain exhaustion of the trip had me wrecked. I will give a report on what I see after a few nights out looking around.

31 hours Tana to Diego is actually not bad at all. Why you complain? LOL.

I advise trying it in the rainy season. 5 days altogether.

These days just Nosybe to Diego can take up to 16 hours.

But you have been here before so you knew it. Are you in a hurry? Instead you do 1 stop in Port Berg 1 stop in Ambanja then you arrive fresh in Diego. Easy and without backpain for 1 week.

Interesting to read some updates. Pity sole hotel prices go up 30-40 percent it always was my favourite hotel in tana with friendly stuff. Did construction is finished already near shanghai hotel? Its was no noise during your stay? If you walk just a bit outside tana airport and catch a taxi you can negotiate with taxi for 30 k ariary for a trip to hotels near glacier or around also same works back way to airport I done it myself last time I was here. But I understand at midnight its not good idea walking in a dark and looking for a taxi with all your belongings. I will be back to mada on beggining of December myself for 24 days trip I could not resist to buy a plane ticket when I find a great deal with air France just for 680 pounds roundtrip from london last month. Nowadays the price for same days to travel is 1600 pound and up its crazy!! Don't decide where to go yet but it will be nosybe as I have hundreds of contacts from here or maybe I go toliara instead Seems some guys on this subforum will be in toliara before I will comeback to mada so its will be interesting to find some new updates if someone will report!!

Hey Dzika I will be going to Tulear in November also and if our dates overlap I will shoot you a line and we could have a few beer one night (or several nights!

Pokeris unfortunately the fucking construction is still going on near Shanghai. I will probably stay there again for a couple of days but will request a room on the back side (no sun to wake me) as far away from the construction as possible. OTOH perhaps by December they will be finished. There is a place nearby called the Palm which looks very nice on booking sites but there are only 4 reviews (all good) so I am leery of trying it. 680 pounds round trip is indeed a bargain you lucky sod! Costing me around 1800 Euro roundtrip from Vancouver.

BTW so far pussy situation in Diego is not good at all. Place is busy enough daytime but nightlife looks like it still has a long way to come back. I will give a more thorough report in a week when I leave.

I agree with what has been said about the miserable state of the roads. Avoid the taxi brousse. There are frequent night time hold ups. Taking a private taxi is an alternative but is not cheap. Going from Tana to Toliara for example will run you about $400-500. But you can break journey halfway and stay in a hotel for about 50,000 ariara.

400-500 bucks? WTF why wouldn't you just fly? For that money at current Tsaradia prices you could do a round trip ticket.

And don't worry about the girls in Glacier being no hassle to take to your room. The real hassle is getting the mutts you don't want to stop pestering you!

Well 10 days there and I am beginning to see why it does not appeal to some guys. I first went in 2016 and really enjoyed myself and while I still do like the town the pussy situation has definitely deteriorated. In general I rarely traipse around town checking out any and all venues. I normally go to Taxi Be and pop in to La Vahinee for a look. The latter used to provide the occasional cheap looker, particularly daytime. These days, not so much. Taxi Be is still hopping most nights. I went on a Wednesday and it was packed to the rafters. Unfortunately there is not much on offer. Plenty of pussy but very few lookers and heaps of fatties that would have to pay me to fuck them! Then there is just the plain lousy lay. Got contact info one evening from a decent looking girl with big tits and made an arrangement for 11 next morning. First she was an hour late, not even a fake apology. Once in the room a very slow disrobing only to find out she doesn't give head, a first for me in Mada. The big tits were more flabby than firm and no amount of jerking was going to get me hard. After a couple of minutes trying to get my half hard dick half way into her I gave up and sent her on her way with 40 K and she asked for more for something to eat. Jesus. Then on the way out the door she asked if I wanted to see her tomorrow! Yeah, right. Not saying this is the norm now but it is a first for me there.

I am not the FB type. I like to see my potential pussy up close and personal and Diego is no longer the draw for me it was. Perhaps those more inclined to hunt will do better. Good luck.

Some town info: I stay at the Hotel Imperial. Around 88 K a night, new firm matresses, AC, OK wifi (pain in the ass they change the fucking password every day!) and a fridge. Good sized rooms. Right down the street 30 metres away is La Cantine restaurant where I ate 75% of my meals. One of the cheapest in town and the food is pretty good, several specials on every day. Only drawback, can be very slow so if you are the impatient type go early or late. Very busy on a Sunday as one of the few places open.

Continuing with some of the weird money practices here. None of the banks would change my US dollars. Brand new crispy from my bank before I left. No idea why. Best I have found is MCB in Tana currently just over 4000. On another note, don't go to the bank on a Monday. Normally slow but even worse then. I realized when I was there it's obviously because they close early Saturday and all day Sunday.

Well I will post this now before my wifi dies!

Oh yes,

Their STD status? Who knows? Condom usage is very low here but STDs are not very common like in some African countries. What kind of service? HM they do pretty much everything I guess except anal. Yes it still happens although they don't look corrupt or money hungry as 4 or 5 years ago though. How long will you be in Mada? Wish you well too.

Freelancers are all over Glacier and several other venues in town and as for STDs, you never know until after the deed but I have never gotten one from a Mada girl and I don't do raincoats.

Hello,

I will be in Nosy Be from 26 October to 8 November. It's the second time for me there, the first was in 2019. I know well Ambatoloaka and I speak a little French. The first time to Nosy Be I went thanks to the suggestions of this forum and I liked the scene, the girls and the isle. So I'm in "debit" with you and your reports and as I travel alone I will like to help you there "on the spot". If you want you can contact me for the details. Also if I have the time I will write a report on my return for everyone.

Thank you again for the helpful reports!

I agree with what has been said about the miserable state of the roads. Avoid the taxi brousse. There are frequent night time hold ups. Taking a private taxi is an alternative but is not cheap. Going from Tana to Toliara for example will run you about $400-500. But you can break journey halfway and stay in a hotel for about 50,000 ariara.Did you ever take a taxi brousse? Did you ever take a taxi overland? I assume your infos all are by hearsay. No personal experience. Don't confuse people here.

Yes, there had been hold ups years ago at night of taxi brousse. But that is over since long. Even at that time nothing at daytime. Meanwhile the traffic is much heavier and many trucks using the roads. They communicate with each other IF there is any weird situation.

Yes, most of the main roads like RN 5 or RN 7 are in a poor state: some streches need total repair, some bridges broken and then the road passes through a stream. But if you not only go to Mada for cheap fucking but to visit the national parks then you need to use the roads. Just take it easy.

Cotisse is a reasonable company for land transport. Meanwhile also Sonatra starts a premium service and some other small companies like Transmalala (www.transmalala.mg). For a trip by Taxi brousse make sure that you get a Merc Sprinter and not one of the small Hitachi Vans. Take the seat by the door in front, not the middle seat: your balls will be boiled because you sit on the engine. Prices to Fianar 35.000 AR. Fianar is a nice village for a 1 day stop with an interesting night life. From there to Tulear 40.000 AR. Each part takes 12 hours! Be prepared.

If you take a private car it does not cost you 500. -$ to Tulear. Or you prove that you are a vahaza ridicule! A typical price is between 40 to 60 $ per day for the car with driver plus the gasoline. 250. -$ to 300. -$ is a fair offer with stops at the various parks on the way. If you share with a friend its the way to go. Same refers to the way north to Diego.

Since Tsaradia got a new management, the company is as good as an airline in an African country can be. If you book on internet early you pay about 500.000 to 600.000 AR to the various destinations. Giving them your Mada telephone number and you will get updates if there are changes in the timing. You also can change your flight for a little fee. I took with them 4 domestric flights lately: all on time and without any incidents. But the few flights get quickly booked. Last day booking and you may not get any seat.

Mada is developing. Building industry is booming. Expect many changes in coming years.

Thanks to Amadeuss and Tinte for the new travel options overland. After my 31 hour nightmare I will not bother this trip but next time around I will definitely give it a try at least one way. 7 people for a dedicated trip for 50 bucks is a great option to Tsaradia, especially if you have lots of time.

Hello all, many thanks for your comments.

As a matter of fact I took a taxi brousse on several occasions although only day trips with no overnight stays. The bus was overfull and on one occasion we had an accident en route and were delayed for many hours. It is cheap but it is not very comfortable.

My girlfriend and I opted for a private taxi and probably overpaid but we did not really have any viable alternative since the flights were all overbooked. We had a great trip and stopped several times to take in the sights and stayed in a half decent hotel half way to Toliara.

Cheers.

Thanks. I will be sure to check out these companies on my next trip. You seems to know what you are talking about. I know I overpaid. Incidentally my girlfriend is Malgache and I am perfectly fluent in French. I am pretty circumspect but sometimes you just don't have much choice. We were in a hurry and that's what happens. The driver became a friend and we are planning to meet up again in a few weeks.

Yesterday day I arrived First Time in mada tnr with Ethiopian.

Immigration took some time and was a bit confusing, because I needed to go to 3 different Windows.

Bought a airtel sim for 15 k with 3 gb Internet.

Taxi mafia asked 70 k to sole.

End of the parking some one with a privat car (Old bmw) accepted 50 k.

Was with baggage so didn't try to leave the airport possession.

Later I meet a member from here Who showed me around the street Hooker scene (many thanks for that).

Later I went on the prowl by myself and took a 19 year Old hardbody from the Street.

Agreed to 30 k for 2 rounds.

Many kissing, cuddling. She was tight and wet.

Flat stomach, no baby.

Fucked her two times. She sleep 6 hours with me, than suddenly wants to go.

Asked for more.

I said no and gave her 31 k (didn't had exactly 30 k). Was good for my first mada fuck.

I can not Wait to go to Toliara tomorrow.

Tana is to cold for me.

Walking in shorts is almost impossible.

My French is not fluent but good enough to ask people and to get infos from the locals, not from the "friend taxidriver" who is your friend because you are now his ATM (as the living pirate La Buse said correctly!

I had to do an urgent trip back from Tulear to Tana in an empty "taxi" which brought tourists down and now wanted to drive back empty (but for sure the gasoline already paid from the earlier guests). He was utterly happy with some pocket money to have me as passenger. And I was happy to have a cheap seat: win win situation!

And there are many "lemour tourists" nowadays taking a private car one way. However, if you just want to go straight to Tulear or Diego. Book a flight early: 2 or 3 months ahead. It saves you a lot of backpain.

I have not visited Nosy Boraha since 2008. I have searched the site but I could not find anything about girls and where to find them. Last time I rent a motorcykle and drove around the island and did pick up two girls on my journey. Nice to fuck them, one at the time. I just spent 3 days then. Now my plans are to stay a week or so. Where to pick up girls? I have not decided where to stay yet but maybe close to Ambodifotatra. I did not went to any cafe or other place to pic the girls. Best place to find girls?

Had Some issuses with the flight.

As the gangsters asked me to Pay 40 k for over weight baggage (negotiated from 80 k) without receipt.

And in LE recife they gave me an room facing the Street, but before they promised seaside.

They said tomorrow I change room.

We will see.

Here in recife cleaning girls are offering themselves.

Outside on the bench are also Hookers sitting.

Fucked one of them for 20 k ST.

Nothing special but she Was great at sucking balls. Ou Yeah I love that.

But now I want something to cuddle.

I'm exhausted from the travel here but for Sure will find something.

Pic from bench Hooker outside recife.

Better without face as I'm staying here longer and had bad experiences.

Maked out with the one with Blue hair.

Kisses, DFK and touching. Like horny Teenies.

Went together from robyv to Black noir and back.

Then I took her to hotel.

No ID, some discussions and we went inside.

More kissing and we fucked two Times.

Sleeping Arm in Arm.

Early in the morning She waked me up.

We fucked once And then She wanted to leave.

Ok. I gave her 40 k in her bag.

She did this sosua shit And put it on my stomach when I Was lying On bed and said its not enough She wants 80 k.

I added 10 k, so gave her 50 k and pushed her down the Stairs and went to my room.

She killed Everything with that. And all was so nice and natural and because of that also no pic.

After sunset every place in Madagascar is dangerous. After 7 pm 50% chance getting robbed. After 8 pm 70%. All gasy are home latest 8 pm tucked in with their sipa gasy. At night the vazimba roam. Talk to the French expats at LE Boef or the Dromadaire and you will get the prices they pay. The non-French speaking lemour tourists without any clue are the culprits..

So far you have paid 12 dollars for an overnighter, turned down the same from a foolish cleaner that thought you were a pushover and paid as little as 5 bucks for STs and you are still bitching about it. Jesus mate what do you want? Your previous posts show you have spent a lot of time mongering in the PI. How many Filiapinas were you shagging for 250 pesos? Put it in perspective. Of course you will run into the odd greedy one, goes with the territory. Overall you are probably spending less on pussy than food and drink! Still probably one of the cheapest places on the planet to get laid.

Without drinking went to Disco.

And again noticed without Alcohol its boring for me and I'm not the Disco guy.

One Was entertaining me, but somehow I didn't wanted to take her.

Gave her 2 k tip and left.

Wanted to collect numbers from the girls on Street.

Was already writing down an number and then the one from Disco comes out and is running After me.

Ok, so I took her.

Told her two rounds for 40 k and She should leave.

I ate an burger at gelateria this day and was not feeling well because of that.

In hotel we fucked once And then She Just ignored that I did not want her LT and starts sleeping.

Ok.

She Was sleeping Deep And long. Until 10 am.

In the morning I fucked here once again as its getting Worse with Me.

I already have diarreha.

I ate breakfast.

ITs really hot today, so I will stay in my room and hope the Situation with my stomach gets better.

Later when I'm ok I want to meet the one from the Street, from which I took the number.

Attached one pic from the sweetie last night.

(please go to Tana and nosy be with your "bucks" as there are already enough places are fucked up price and Service wise).

And I've done Tana and Nosy Be don't care for either. Can't wait for your take on NB. That will probably make you want to change for an earlier flight out.

Look, I was just making a polite inquiry.

I have been to places much more dangerous than Mada and take good care of myself. I was just interested in the knowing about the general situation.

Thank you.

I have a very good advice for you. Best you stay at home and watch NatGeo TV. Yesterday they robbed a tourist group near my place in Analakely. Around 10 pm. After sunset every place in Madagascar is dangerous. After 7 pm 50% chance getting robbed. After 8 pm 70%. All gasy are home latest 8 pm tucked in with their sipa gasy. At night the vazimba roam. Yes. Gasy ghosts and witches. And the ancestors roam the fady places.

Bienvenue a Madagascar.

Thank you.So if you claim you have been to more dangerous places? The general situation? Its quiet. Tana is a lot cleaner. They tamed the traffic jams largely by introducing new one way systems. There's lots of city police. There's new CCTV cameras installed. Do not walk after 8 pm. The economic situation is dire. Loads of girls look for rent money. It's end of the month. Voila. Try to start to RTFF instead of asking people "polite questions" which are answered a few posts back. Like the Taxi from the Airport. As I wrote a few posts back. Its 70.000 AR. When you arrive past midnight with AF you take an official taxi. Period. And to some posters which whine constantly about prices for girls. I have a Tipp. Fly to Thailand. Its funny. So many clueless sextourists around shagging the same 5 high mileage expired girls in La Recif. And yes. Its hot in Tulear now. Summer is approaching. Yes. And have fun with the shits and sweats. The best time in in the south west is winter. April to September. I stay in Tana. Nice and cool. Literally 100's of girls to shag. Good food good patisserie. No rain. During the day I explore new quarters. Tana has 1. 6 million inhabitants. So go figure. The number of shaggeable girls when I consider the population pyramid is a couple of 100.000's in Tana alone.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Madagascar

On average when I walk around I see DOZENS of hot girls. Of course. Stay at home with momma or fly to Thailand if you speak ZERO french. Do yourself a favour. Stay in Soi6 and shag some overpriced 30+ years old hookers. And if you want to see hot girls in Bikinis or Merina Models there's swimming pools ici.

Dear Gents,

Does someone has an recommendation for an girlfriendly hotel in ivaty, besides bella dona?

Want to go next Week for 2-3 days but not Sure what hotel to choose.

Location must not be superb, most important is girlfriendly and price.

As I don't want to spent more than 50€/200 k.

Thanks again for your advice Much appreciated, though your tone. I am glad to know that Tana is safer now but not to go out after 8 PM? Where do the FLs hang out? On l'Avenue de l'Independance?

As for dangerous places, the Vietnam war was bad enough or Cambodia during the late 1970's.

I have have had my share of danger and am much the wiser But I always ask when I am not fully informed myself. I'll be just fine but all the same I ask when I don't know.

I arranged for a hotel taxi for 7,0000. I don't fancy walking down across the airport parking just to get ripped off my some free lance driver or worse. I have been there twice recently and seen for myself that it is dicey at 2 AM. It took me three hours the last time to get my bag and to clear customs. To say nothing of the Covid check. But I gather that is a thing of the past now.

It pays to be safe and to ask.

You can always PM me if you like.

Thank you.

Prends soin.

Tamatave is relatively busy. I was unfortunate enough to get covid there about 3 weeks ago. Laid me out for a couple of weeks. La Terasse is bigger and busier than ever as you have probably seen. Now in Tulear and the opposite. Place is deader than a doornail with the exception of LE Jardin. A few lemur tourists and a smattering of expats. Score has 4 times as many employees as customers! Must have been a ghost town when covid was here. Seriously if I had known how quiet it is I don't know if I would have bothered this time around.

If the roads (and travel times) continue to get worse I will have to think about going to fewer places and just fly. Fuck the cost.

31 hour journey from where to where?

It took more then 9 hours from Antananarivo to Tamatave by cotisse for me. The road is so mall, Tamatave port is the biggest in country so there are so many big trucks on the road. And the driver was going so fast sometimes. But sometimes 10,20 km per hour. So many potholes in some areas. And if you want to fly, 50 minutes flight from Antananarivo to Tamatave is minimum 460.000 (110 euro) For this country it is too expensive.

I just had a quick look on kayak and 2 months out a flight from Amsterdam to CDG will run you about 70-80 euro. On the other hand a flight from London to Paris can be had for about 30. Considering wages are paltry compared to Europe, someone in Tsaradia is making a shitload of money, or they should be. I know there are some economies of scale to consider but still. My flight from Tana to Tulear was around 120 euro and it was only half full. Doesn't make sense.

Maybe back in the 60's. Everybody steals. Same as Kenyan Airways. Air Mad if I remember correctly had a German manager years back. It didn't take long for him to be fired. Too efficient. Tried to get rid of the graft. 120€ is a cheap price. Haven't found anything less than 145€ up to 200€ one way to Tulear up till end of December. The cheapest tickets are the coup du coeur they're like 20 of them then the tariff goes up.

London Paris you can use train, car, ferry and plane. Its a short hop.

Tulear. Tana you can get a sore ass more than 2 days in taxi brousse paying 100000 AR plus overnight hotel.

Or pay 2 Mio AR for a private car, 1 1/2 days on the road.

Or use a plane 2 hours for 900 km.

Paris. Rome about same distance you pay more if you compare flights with 20 kg luggage. And no one complains.

Guys -- Mada got distances. Get real. If you not like it and and only have to complain, better stay in mom's basement.

I'm sitting in Hotel Shalimar (recommended) in Tana right now and my Trip is going to end.

For me I did two mistakes.

1. Going to Toliara. This place Was not even close to what I expected. Yes, its quiet.

But I thought the were more girls available, but there are not so many. You go 2,3 Times to Disco and you know Everyone. At daytime its very difficult to find something to fuck.

I expected more. I should go to Tana, tamatave or nosy be.

Was a few days in Tana and enjoyed the Street Hooker scene here, as this is really my thing.

I should have stayed longer.

My mistakes, lessons learned.

Maybe some time I come back, I would stay in tana longer for Sure.

2. The Language.

Yes, I knew this before.

I learned french for about one year with an App every day, but it was not enough.

I don't understand them, or they don't understand me. Its a hassle, but ST still possible, but I miss somehow the communication.

Many also have poor or no french skills.

Also it seemed many girls where somehow Shy, but maybe this is also because of the language barrier. But still the Service was good, but I liked to fuck the Mombasa girls more. But here BBFS was even more easy than there.

Anyway I did not regret this (even if I had regular stomach Problems) as it was an nice experience.

Maybe sometimes I come back, but go to other cities than.

For my next Trip I will finally try Cuba, as I'm hungry for latinas and I can get cheap flights from Germany for below 600€. And I have some spanish skills, so will be fine.

(no, I will Not go to soi 6, as I'm much more the AC Guy, but anyway thanks for your valuable insights).

Can you elaborate a bit more on your experiences with the street girls (areas, prices, service, time frame)? I have seen them around Sole Hotel at night but they generally only appear after sunset and the window of opportunity is about an hour after sundown. I felt you could hang around a bit longer but the safety situation degrades as the streets grow quiet.

During the day I only saw WG's in a back alley close to Hotel LE Relais Normand, street Lalana Karija or very near to it. Types methamphetamine ho's and potbellied housewives. Sure someone will like that 😄.

.Toliara is never was sex paradise like some ISG member try to mislead everyone. Toliara it simillar to other medium size towns has maximum 5-10 good looking girls which is available. Even before club was full of girls but its not has so much lookers after 1 week you can fuck them all and after as you said you see same faces same girls nothing new. It can be sex paradise for someone who don't care how girls is looking and can fuck any girl who look worst than a dog or recife cleaners just because they are so cheap here. Toliara is fine for 1 week or a bit more with trip to mangily but after you getting bored here as its nothing to do. The truth is every mada city after some time is getting bored and start lacking of new good looking girls. If you want non stop sex with new girls every time you need to move from city to city. Some guys enjoy same girl or just few girls in their all trip I prefer 1-2 new girls every day. Yes tana, tamatave nosybe gives much more better looking girls and quantity than toliara I was at nosybe for 24 days than it was no flights and much less girls but it still was fine to keep me busy for this period. After I could not find any new girl so I moved to another city. Nosybe at least is not bored place and its easy to stay here longer. Some nosybe ass picks from last trip.

You need to do your rounds.

Sometimes I walked around, found nothing and come back one hour later and looked to Check it again. You allways need to check. Again and again.

I did many rounds and also find something to fuck.

Interesting is, that the ones standing up on the side of the main street, are quoting 50 k ST and will not budge.

You walk back to Sole Area and there are always fine with 20-30 k ST.

But I try to never pay more than 20 k ST than.

Service was good and often very good.

Always BBBJ and BBBFS.

One real cute I had her two rounds and she sleept with me a few hours for 30 k.

But you have to be lucky to find such a gem.

Walk, walk again and look haha.

I walked at any time and was never scared or had problems.

Only beggas are annoying.

Sometimes there is also police presence, but never anyone has asked me for Passport.

Hey all, anyone been to both Madagascar and its outlying island countries (Mayotte, Comoros, Mauritius, areéunion, etc) who can compare compare-and-contrast them from a sex tourist's perspective? Trying to plan a trip, already know I'm at least visiting Madagascar itself, but trying to figure out where else I should / shouldn't bother to visit while I'm there.

Bit more context:

I'm equally okay with paying pros (freelancers, bar girls, etc); or with making tempting offers to desperate amateur girls who are open to selling their bodies; or with just seducing and hooking up with locals, if they find me attractive (I'm in my 30's and not fat or ugly, so there's a chance.) Whatever gets a stream of novel young women to visit my bed, I'll do.

And I don't much care about what I can see or do on the trip otherwise. This is a "spend every waking hour fucking, with multiple women per day" vacation for me, not a vacation vacation. I can ignore bad food, bad accommodation, high crime, etc if it means better / cheaper / more / kinkier girls.

I've RTFF for Mada, and tried to RTFF for the neighbour islands, but few people seem to visit them long enough to talk about them here. Guessing people living in Mada long-term have opinions about them, though?

Reunion. Territoire the outre mer. If you like to shell out 100€ to shag the same Malgache hookers. Hahaha. I meet Reunnionais here in Madagascar they fly to Madagascar to hobby.

Mauritius. Prostitution is illegal. There's regular raids on illegal brothels. Malgache hookers get deported.

Isle Comores. Flights very expensive. 95% Muslims. You can score there for sure. Up to you to shell out a fortune in air fare. Check Ewa Air.

Mayotte. Again French territory. You might score there with refugees from the Comoros there.

Don't think if you're young and good looking. Doesn't make any difference at all. Irrelevant in subsaharan Africa. I am 59 and shag nothing older than 23 years. And that's OLD.

I will go out on a limb here and guess that none of the places you mentioned will come close to the price for pussy you will find here. I have read a few reports for mauritius and it looks both more expensive and pretty bleak in terms of quality. La Reunion, I guess even more expensive but the girls may be a little more palatable. The ONLY info I have on Comoros is from a friend whose info is 30 years out of date. Muslim influence big but covered girls during the day in tight jeans in the disco at night and not shy. I expect that is no longer the case. Bear in mind that airfares to all these places are stupidly expensive.

If you are a newbie go to Nosy Be for the number of hookers available. If you want to try your luck with "civilians', Tana or Tamatave are your best choices. If you are here for less than a month, definitely limit the number of places you plan to go, especially if overland.

Hi,

Here a some pictures of the disco street in Tulear. Made in "LE rose Noir" at night. The one picture inside was from a empty day and very early in robyv.

There is a new disco with the name "Safari". Not so high distance from LE bouef and in the same street of the restaurant.

So I think places to find girls in tulear:

- Robyv - more professional girls, more space for everyone.

- LE rose Noir - More people, more normal kind of disco, cheaper.

Hi, my experience in Tulear is limited but I liked LE Dromadaire. A lot of French expats and a few WGs not bad looking. Also, the food is half decent. Opposite there is I a disco but I never went. You might also want to check out the local university. Lots of pretty girls. Buy you need good French to communicate and it is far away.

Good luck.

I will go out on a limb here and guess that none of the places you mentioned will come close to the price for pussy you will find here.I agree with that, mostly; from what I was able to dredge up online, most of these islands don't seem too promising. I just wanted to see if anyone on the ground knew something I didn't about them.

The one interesting exception seems to be Mayotte. It has extreme levels of poverty (no local industry, and it's a dependency clinging to France that France itself doesn't want, and so does nothing to aid); and so the girls there may actually be cheaper and more eager than anywhere in Mada. It also helps that, AFAICT, there's basically no reason for rich tourists to ever visit the country (no resort hotels, no real hospitality industry; I think the only reason foreigners ever visit at all is to see some special species of lemur? And so the "foreigner tax" will likely be minimal.

In other words, Mayotte seems to have the relative cost-of-living and quality-of-life of a "conflict region" like South Sudan or the DRC or (most of) Angola. But without "wandering the slums" implying you might get shot at. (At least, you're no more likely to get shot than you would wandering a slum in the US, haha.).

I would think that, if one is interested specifically in making poor civilian girls "too much money to say no to" offers, without breaking the bank for themselves, Mayotte might be interesting, even moreso than Mada.

(Also, for someone already in Mada, the round-trip flight to Mayotte is apparently only $300-$500 -- not too bad.).

If anyone knows better and can tell me that that's all hogwash, though, I'd like to hear it before I potentially waste a week of my trip checking it out.

But I do almost find it reassuring that even the Mada locals don't know much about Mayotte; it means that it might be not-talked-about because it's an obscure subject, rather than being not-talked-about because it's worthless to consider.

If you are a newbie go to Nosy Be for the number of hookers available. If you want to try your luck with "civilians', Tana or Tamatave are your best choices. If you are here for less than a month, definitely limit the number of places you plan to go, especially if overland. Thanks for the recommendations! My schedule isn't set in stone yet —*if I wanted to look into all three areas, what would you say would be the minimum amount of time I should spend visiting to get a real impression? A full 90 days of a tourist visa?

Ah. And Madagascar is not a sex tourist destination. For that avail yourself to Pattaya with 27.000 30+ years old hookers to choose from. Madagascar is for the discerning Africa adventurer who avails himself to the local pleasures.I'm actually visiting Mada for business (I know: weird, right?) That business will stretch out over at least a month, but will be taking up remarkably little of my time. So, I want to take advantage of an opportunity, and maximize the amount and variety of sex I have while I'm there.

That being said: there'd be no point in getting excited about experiences I could just as well have elsewhere. I've got plenty of "30+ years old hookers" right next door at home, so I've never seen the point in visiting places like Thailand; and if that's all Mada had to offer, I wouldn't be planning my trip the way I am. It is indeed all about those "local pleasures" that one cannot find elsewhere.

Untold suffering awaits you. Tropical shits disease Cholera the Plague Malaria viral Eye Infection VDs all await you.Oh, don't I know it! I've dealt with all of that plenty. It's my first time to Madagascar, but not my first trip to Africa. I think I'm pretty used to it all now. (Which is the other reason I'm not overly excited about the regular tourist schtick. I've seen the jungles, the beaches, the beautiful waterfalls, the rolling pastures, the tribal people, the cities crammed with fire-code-violating stick-built three-story buildings, etc.).

You will not find those "local pleasures".

Save your money for your local hookers next door below 30 instead complaining about the cheap ones.

Why would I not find them? Perhaps you have an incorrect assumption about what is behind the euphemism here.

Yes Comoros is possible. But be forewarned that alcohol is very expensive there. All are imported and big tax! And not just alcohol many things are so f. Expensive! I was there for around 10 days and I didn't score, not worth in my opinion! But it is an interesting island though!

Forget all the outlying islands for our hobby.

Reunion. Territoire the outre mer. If you like to shell out 100 to shag the same Malgache hookers.

Who might be inclined to visit the Comoros one day. After all you can get there 5 wives as the prophet decreed.

Hello everyone,

I'm planing a big trip out to Africa for my birthday I'm American but I'll be flying from Germany as I'm going to monger there first. I just have a few questions I stuck between going to Ethiopia or Tana as getting a flight to Nosy be is inconvenient and I'd rather get to only going to over here for a week. Some things I've noticed is the Ethiopia board is quiet and people describe the scene as more massage shop and maybe some streetwalkers that sounds lame just want to be sure that is the case. On the other had from the pages I've read Tana, Antananarivo has street walkers but also a few freelancer bars which is more my style. Some of the names include Mojo Bar Manson and du Glacier are there others.

Also is there a good hotel that has a good gym I'm not a budget travel so any price range is fine thank you all for your help.

Thanks for the info guys. I may pop by after I arrive and see if the construction is ongoing or over. I was also thinking that the proximity to Glacier was very good, one of the closest hotels.Did the construction now reached the hotel? Or did they just not put their rooms for 2023 into the system? There is no room available for any date in 2023 .

Some background, I'm an experienced travelling third world scavenger and believe I can handle basic security challenges, so no need for "friendly advice to stay away" but thanks anyway. I have some free time before upcoming Asia trips and thought I'd check out Madagascar as airfares to Mada seem reasonable. I'm looking at touching down in either Tana or Nossy Be. My French is probably passable, we will see.

I have been checking out Badoo and constantly get most hits from Tana, in fact Nossy Be girls are rare. I guess many of the Tana girls are freelancers, but I haven't really cracked the code how to tell FLs from more regular girls. Does anyone have experience of pulling girls from Badoo and the pro ratio?

I've seen reports that it may be difficult to exchange even crisp Benjamins (really? Any tips how to get good rates for USD (in Tana / Nossy-Be)?

Many hotels look pretty mediocre, unless you want to go with the international brand names. I prefer 3-4 stars, clean with working AC, refrigerator and not too many dodgy guests (except me) max rate around 50-60 USD / night. Happy to accept lower if comfortable and clean. Checking online I see a myriad of rather dysfunctional hotels. Any suggestions? If you read back on my posts you can see I'm not a lemour tourist who will overpay girls, I will stick to the going rates indicated here.

The girls are almost never online. Only the super rich own a smart phone.

Be. Forget your freshly printed US Dollars. Utterly useless on this island. Bring 100€ cash or use the good ol ATM.

See. Forget the western conception of free lancer. Pro or whatever you call it.

The. What you want a 4* hotel for? You want to waste money? Get a clean vezo hut for 10 $ a month.

E. your French will be almost useless. Most girls speak about 20 words. Fair l amour? Combien? All you need. They know how to count in french. Be aware there's 2 currencies. FMG and MGA.

F. Stay away and book to Thailand. There you'll find your 4* aircon hotels.

G. You're not suited füare Madagascar.

Therefore. Stay Away.

This is not "Third World". This is Madagascar. Ah yes. And there's no Uber only Pousse pousse. This is an OFFLINE country. Most of my girlfriends are proud owners of a Cell phone. I get an answer IF and WHEN they have credit or their phone is actually working or it's charged. Then you MIGHT get an SMS IF they're not shagging their local BF or another tourists. Maybe after a week or so if they're in dire need of funds. Other than that. Move around and see what opportunities present themselves. Ah. And book for at least a month. I find it amazing that Ben is not welcome, he's usually a good travel pal, but will use the ATM option then.

Thailand is bit boring for me nowadays. Partly same with Phils, where I have lived many years, but now spend only a couple months every year. Time to try something new, let's see how it goes.

PS I've chatted with heaps of Badoo girls, so obviously La Buse's suggestion that they don't have smartphones is a tad outdated. Once I have got my feet on the ground phone will not be a prerequisite for carnal connections.

Yes offering the price first is a good idea. I have been asked 250.000 AR for ST. Haha. This perspective is fascinating to me. With girls in many countries I have always done the opposite: I ask their price first, and I do not negotiate. Instead, if I don't like their price, I walk away, right away, and do not let them rope me back in.

Why? Because any girl that asks a high price, is someone who thinks highly of themselves and their own market value; and so very likely is someone who thinks they are "above" the sort of wild kinky things I enjoy, either refusing it outright or massively upcharging for it. (Even after saying they'll do it! Especially after saying they'll do it!

Whereas a girl that asks the going rate, or even lower, is a girl who (at least in that moment) sees her body as a commodity, to be sold for a commodity price. And so is a girl who will likely not think of herself highly, and will be open to doing all sorts of additional things with no upcharge.

Do Malagasy women break this logic? If so, they'd be the first ones I've ever seen to do so.

Greetings, All things considered I have had a very good trip so far, traveling to a couple of places, Sambava and Tolear, among others. By plane, I should add. It sure beats private taxi. To say nothing of the taxi brousse.

Tana is interesting too. I had never really explored the city before and there is much to see. I took several walking through the Office du Tourisme situated at the top of the hill in a wonderful small park adjacent to the Hotel du Louvre. Also, I squeezed in the Parc des Lemurs and the Royal Palace. Negotiate a good price. It is worth it. Always negotiate.

I stayed in a number of hotels in Tana, including the Glacier, which is not bad by local standards. They even have a fridge in the room. And the staff is extremely friendly. I always bought them the drinks and sandwiches and they helped me a lot by keeping an eye out for me and offering me extra good service.

I also stayed at the Shangai Hotel, which is a more family oriented but situate on the hill overlooking the Avenue de l'Independance. The staff is very friendly and the food good.

I checked out Sole Hotel but it is a bit far removed from the Avenue de L'Independance and I would not walk around there at night. Several FLs on the street opposite the hotel in the afternoon. They typically asked 30-40,000. There are other hotels on the avenue de l'Independance as well and they look OK.

I felt perfectly safe in the Glacier hotel. Outside is another story after 7 PM. This guy jumped me early one night in the street outside the hotel but I was carrying nothing of value. I easily pushed him away with my arm and leg sending him sprawling. I am surprised that he approached me because I am not exactly a small guy. Quite the opposite. I stand two meters tall and weigh 110 kilos. Despite my age –mid-seventies--I am in the shape of my life. His sidekick quickly backed away when his partner in crime went down. But I learned my lesson and avoided the arcades on either side of the Avenue de l'independence after dark. Better to walk in the inner lane reserved for parking.

I had a bad case of diarrhea, maybe from omelettes. To be avoided, they say, since eggs are never refrigerated even in the stores. I would also avoid the mayonnaise. But the hotel staff at the Glacier helped me find a good doctor and even escorted me there. Total cost 30,000 ariar with meds. That would have cost a lot more in the States.

The Glacier club across the street has a number of gems actually. You just have to look. Treat them well and they will reciprocate in kind. I typically would invite my lady of choice upstairs for a light snack and drinks and talk. They want at least 40,000 but since I treated them to dinner they seldom charged anything at all and gave fantastic service. They all spoke decent French by the way.

The music at the Glacier ain't bad and I sometimes I would just chill in the bar with a beer and listen to the band.

Keep well and enjoy. But take care. This is not Disneyland. Never carry anything of value with you beyond whatever cash you plan to spend.

If so, they'd be the first ones I've ever seen to do so.Mate. There is no and there's never been a "logic" in pricing in subsaharan Africa. Read my countless posts to that subject. Use the search function. A good rule of thumb is a white man pays roughly double to one and a half the price a local pays. For example in Tana a local pays 20.000 MGA for a shag. I mongered in ten subsaharan countries now. And it's everywhere the same. 10 USD. Except. Tourist areas or rich expat or rich local venues like 5* Hotels or upmarket Discotheques in the most expensive neighbourhoods. There the price quoted can easily be 10 Times as much I. E. 100 USD. Another factor is language. If the girl speaks English in non English speaking colonies a skill set expect the base price of 10 $ to multiply by 5 to 10.

The other factor is time. Time in subsaharan Africa is irrelevant.

ST can be one shag or two shags. 30 minutes or 2 hours. Get used to it. In some markets the difference between overnight called fortwith LT is relatively benign. After a certain hour public transport might not be available or it might be outright dangerous to move so girls prefer to look for a bed to sleep. How often you shag. It depends. Usually 2 to 3 times. There's the age old problem of girls you agreed to for "LT" and she tries to take off after one shag and still collect a higher rate. Always negotiate a "shag" and see how the vibez are. There's. A zillion factors.

Bienvenue a Afrique Noir.

Lesson no 1: Never influence middle men.

Since I have travelled quite a bit. I know that certain places are operated through SPAs and Brothels. SPAs and Brothels are a mafia. Perfect example is girlie bars in Thailand and South East Asia. Countries like Australia is very oppressive to mongers because of oppressive regulations. When you enter into a legal brothel in Queensland, the sex worker comes to you wearing glouse to check your dick. It's oppressive to the level that you get a limp dick when they do that. Australia has been a famous place for street walkers where you can walk up to them and negotiate prices. But legal brothel system and online escort site that offer Asian hookers for high prices has runined the mongering scene. In countries mongering is not an industry. Girls get the full benefit of it. Whatever amount you pay them goes to them and their families. Even though you tip them as they please you it directly benifits them. There are two important facts you need to realise in mongering.

1. WGs don't do it for fun. They do it to survive.

2. It's a service and middle men ruined the service (Example: South East Asia).

Lazy mongers prefer Spas and Bars because they are too lazy, shy and insecure to talk to women. As clever mongers we should not influence middle men. We should never buy girls from girlie bars and pubs. We should always influence freelancers. We should tip them based on their service. We should do everything in our control to protect the freelance sex scene in countries. Because sex is a fundamental requirement. All these nonsense of women empowerment and bullshit make it oppressive to alpha males who are sexually active. If you meet women who are in need of money. Get their consent and offer a price in exchange of sex. Doesn't matter which country you reside. Then you can offer her to some of your friends and get her a customer line. We have to cut the middle men. We have to influence sex work in a way that directly benifits sex workers and mongers. That way, we as mongers can control the market. If we don't run by this code we may have to fuck shitty drunk tattooed hookers in bars for rediculous prices similar to some beer drinking loosers do in Thailand. It's funny they think WGs are their girlfriends.

Lesson no 2: Value preposition.

Value for sex workers in the market is an arbitrary value, hence always devalue sex workers and inform other mongers to pitch the same price. Always negotiate prices on websites when you call them or meet them. I have probably screwed more than 1000 sex workers (humbly) in Sri Lanka. Including actresses, models, showgirls, spa girls and what not. Lotta mongers pay rediculous amount of money to them. Especially foreign mongers. Maximum I ever paid is 50 USD. I always do ST as little as 25-30 USD. Anything more than that I offer my price, if they are firm I walk away and I inform others not to buy. Because it is not worth it. Russian and Thai sex workers residing or touring in Sri Lanka or India propose high value due to rarity factor. I always avoid Thai and Russian hookers in such countries and go for the local. It's always cheap to fly and screw a Russians or Thais if you so badly want to screw them. Make them feel like they lose a faithful customer. This is specially true when it comes to middle men (Spa / bar owners). You don't have to fuck by anyone's rules. You can make the rules.
