This report describes my perspective on the situation in Pretoria, South Africa covering a 6 week period during February. March, 2010. Based on the time I spent in Pretoria, the following summary covers the information most likely to be of interest to like minded gentlemen such as your selves.
Pretoria is a city located in the northern part of Gauteng Province, South Africa. Pretoria is 35 miles northeast of Johannesburg, 30 miles from Johannesburg International Airport, and 437 miles from Durban. It is one of the country's three capital cities, serving as the executive (administrative) and official de facto capital; the others being Cape Town, the legislative capital, and Bloemfontein, the judicial capital. Pretoria is contained in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality as one of several constituent former administrations (including Centurion and Soshanguve), and therefore sometimes referred to as Tshwane. The population exceeds a million people, the bulk of whom are government officials. The city centre is laid out in typical city fashion on a grid with wide roads, making getting around fairly simple.
Known as the Jacaranda City for all the purple blossom-bedecked trees, which line its thoroughfares, Pretoria is a lovely, quiet city. When in bloom, the jacarandas throw a blanket of mauve over this, slightly, more sedate city. Even so, Pretoria boasts superb shopping centers, museums, art galleries and restaurants. Although it is physically close to Johannesburg, Pretoria has a totally different feel to South Africa's commercial capital: it's quieter and calmer, and people stop to chat and smile.
Like Washington and Canberra, Pretoria is largely a forgotten capital city. It is, however, the executive and administrative capital of South Africa. Its grand buildings (including many foreign embassies) give the city an unexpectedly dignified and stately presence. As the academic, scientific and technological capital of South Africa, the city has the most highly developed technology and research sector in Africa. Four universities and a number of scientific institutes are located there.
Atteridgeville, Mamelodi, and Soshanguve are the historically "Black townships" surrounding Pretoria where the majority of the Black African citizens of the Tshwane Metropolitan area still live. Atteridgeville is 7 miles, Mamelodi is 15 miles, and Soshanguve, Ga-Rankuwa, Winterveldt and Temba are about 25 miles from downtown. Many residents work in Pretoria, traveling by bus, train, taxi, or driving personal vehicles. Lenasia, about 10 miles south of Pretoria, is home to many of the area's Asian citizens. Each of these communities forms part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.
Based on my experience, Pretoria is not a great place to monger, but women are available if you are so inclined. If you like women of color, there are some beautiful options available. South African women come in all shapes and sizes and include African (Xhosa, Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Shangaan and Vendaulu, Tswana and Venda), Colored (mixed White and Black descent), Indian/Asian and Caucasian. The local newspapers are full of classified ads for adult services. The English-language newspapers that are published daily in South Africa include The Star, This Day, Sowetan, Pretoria News, Business Day, and Citizen (in the Johannesburg-Pretoria area). There is also a popular Afrikaans language newspaper (Beeld) with an adult services section in the classifieds. Since I was working in Pretoria, I mostly relied on the classified ads for adult services in the Pretoria News. This newspaper was available at my hotel, but I also utilized the online classifieds at http://classifieds. Iol. Co. Za/home.php. Just click on Adult Ads, verify that you are 18 years or older, and under publication select the newspaper you want to check. I used this system for about 50% of my contacts. There's always the element of surprise since you are contacting a provider on a sight unseen basis, but that's also the nature of the game. My experience with all the providers I selected from this site was very positive. The prices quoted by African women contacted from this site ranged from 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) to 500. 00 ZAR (67. 50 USD) for an hour. However, I only selected women in the 300. 00 ZAR per hour category. The price quoted for Chinese women was also 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) for an hour.
It should be noted that many women advertise in the newspapers and also online at the site mentioned above, and/or other web sites. The newspaper and online contact numbers are usually different, but that seems to be the system.

Street Walkers

Since they are often on both sides of Schoeman Street, and since it's a one-way street, you may have to circle around to check out the options on the opposite side. Several times I picked-up women here and took them to my hotel for a ST session. The Flamingo is a full adult entertainment club including strippers and working girls. They have VIP rooms with private jacuzzis, and regular rooms without any frills. All the rooms have beds and are rented by the hour, not daily. The entrance fee is 50. 00 ZAR (6. 75 USD), and the first stripper comes on at 2000. Both times I was there, the strippers are on for 20 minutes each, but there's a break of 40 minutes between each set. During these breaks you are usually offered additional services include lap dances for 400. 00 ZAR (54. 00 USD) for 3 songs. The lap dances include the woman fully nude, rubbing against you up close and personal, with touching allowed except "down there". The rate for a private room with Jacuzzi that includes sex (called full house) is 600. 00 ZAR (81. 00 USD) for an hour. The food and drink prices are also very reasonable. Note: There are women who only do the lap dances, and others that provide full house services. On the two occasions that I was there were two Chinese women available for full house services, but the rest of the women working/available there were all Caucasians. No African women were working there.
My experience in Pretoria, South Africa is based on this 6-week visit. I was there for work and didn't have as much free time as I had hoped, so was unable to explore more options and venues than those described above. Well what can I say this is probably Cape Town's most known adult venue.

I have been all over Cape Town but never to this venue before. I think the reason is partly because of the bad publicity and the known involvement in other illegal activities of the owners of this venue. I went there with two friends. At reception we were greeted by "Tiffy" (Ex N40 & PLUSH). The minute we walked into the bar / lounge area we were immediately greeted and attended to by the ladies. The lounge area is spacious with a bar and a pole or two for dancing.
They run about 20 ladies of which I spotted about 8 Thai ladies. The rest were coloured, a few black and about 2 to 3 white ladies. The Thai ladies are young and GORGEOUS. They are visibly run / directed who to entertain / attend to by a Thai transvestite! I avoided eye contact as not to attract his / her attention ... I have been in Cape Town some weeks ago. Before going there, I bothered a few senior members of ISG, asking information, advice, etc. After my trip, I did not have the time to write a report, so I simply disappeared. I feel guilty for this, so I want to recover today, even if late.

Anyway, I did not do that in CPT, because I did not have the time to get the actual feeling of the place and I did not want to put myself in needless danger.

They told me to come back to their place, because I am safe with them.

Beside that, it was not clear to me how safe or unsafe is actually CPT. People's word always claim that all places are impossible to walk at night, but I happily wandered around on foot at night in San Salvador, Medellin, or other towns in Central and South America without much problems, just using common good sense (I wrote plenty of reports there, have a look if interested). Anyway, I did not do that in CPT, because I did not have the time to get the actual feeling of the place and I did not want to put myself in needless danger.
The last night, I asked a taxi driver to take me to some place with young girls. He brought me first to Bedazzled, but I did not want to enter. I wanted something more underground. Bedazzled seems to be especially popular among taxi drivers in CPT. Other 2 tried to take me there before, even without me asking anything special. I wonder if that place is really the best, or simply it is the one who pays better drivers.
Then I asked the driver (a 50yo coloured man with tie and past-gentleman appearance, although a bit drunk after a while as you will read) to take me around for young SWs in CPT. I told him that I wanted to see the city around and understand the scene. We agreed for 200R for one hour tour or so.
SW scene in CPT was (is?) very poor. According to the driver, police cleans up the streets at least once a week, and streets were dry. I spotted a few ones, but not very much appealing. He brought me to all most popular streets for SWs in CPT, or so he said. Places where I honestly I could not go on foot, either because too far, either because not very safe for a single white man walking alone after midnight. I think we went along Main Rd and High Level Rd (sorry, I cannot be sure) at NW of Long St. (Beach Rd), as well as at SE of Long St. still not far of the City Ctr., not neglecting the streets close around Long St., and finally also quite far at East.
I liked to see some dilapidated areas. I did not think I was wasting money, because at least I was exploring the city at night, finally!
After all this, he proposes me to take me to his neighborough. He claims special young girls may be available there. I say I don’t want because I am a single white and he is coloured, but he tells me "no problem! you are with me!". Actually, the guy did not look a bad person, so I decided to try to have a look.
That way, I started an adventure that was worth, alone, more than any mongering expedition in a brothel.
He took me to Elsiesriver, a neighborough on the way to the airport, which I later found out is populated solely by coloured people, that is not black, not white people (racial segregation is still effective in SA, although not enforced by law).
He stopped in front of a pub (I forgot the name, but I am sure there are not many there) and parked. When we entered, everyone was staring at me. I don’t think white men are expected to enter that place, especially after midnight. Loud dance music, beers, and many people dancing and drinking, ranging from the worker to the gansta look. He introduced me to many ones, I shook hands, and I sat down at a table with his cousins (2 fat pregnant girls) and friends. I was looking straight into eyes of everyone staring at me and I did my best to look very confident of myself etc. I don’t think it's a good idea to show you are afraid of the situation, especially if someone with tattoes and piercing looks into your eyes while he shakes your hand. Anyway, I was starting to think that, this time, I went too far. (Actually, the day after I asked someone about Elsiesriver. I found out that the place is not so good, but neither so bad. It is just a neighborough of low-class coloured people.)
He brought me a beer in bottle. I am so paranoic, that I simulated drinking and then I offered the bottle to him (I was thinking: "is this bottle drugged or what?"). He drank a lot from my bottle, so I started to think that I could start to relax.
To make the long story short, I remained one hour in that place. It was an outstanding experience. I went to the back of the bar, sitting around a fire with the owner and his wife. They were so happy to have a tourist in their place, that they even did not want me to pay anything. Everything offered by the house. Also the DJ was a very nice person and came to meet me. They wanted to know what was my impression of CPT, Elsiesriver etc. etc.
During all this chit-chat, the life in the bar was going on as usual, with music, beers, dances, one man smashed out from the toilet from somebody probably hurt by a wrong word, another one falling down completely drunk and moved aside to the wall to not impede passage, and all the like you can imagine.
Their cousins were very worried about me ("do you have luggage in the car?" "where he wants to take you?" "he just found this job as taxi driver and now he is getting drunk!" "pleased tell him to bring you back to your hotel and stop drinking") so finally I pushed him to take me back to the City Ctr. Atmosphere was very good in the bar. They told me to come back to their place, because I am safe with them.
We left the place and we went back to the city. The meter was running after R400, so I told him that I wanted to pay a SW girl for him too, but not so much for the tour by the meter. He stopped the meter, took out another beer from the back of the car and started to drive and drink (we were somewhere SE of Long Street now). We had the time to enter another bar, where all customers were dark black now, have another beer there, but still not girls.
At that time, I was not really hoping to see some good girl. I was just enjoying the safari in CPT areas where I would have never ventured on my own, so it was ok for me.
After a while, we stopped near a better-than-others SW, around 20yo or so. She asked 100 in the car. Never ever buy a SIm card from the airport, I was told that the Vodacom SIM card in the Vodashop at the airport cost 100 rands (14 USD) while if you buy it from any shop outside airport, it cost just 3 rands(0. 5 USD). All the sim cards, including Vodacom and MTN when bought from a normal shop are dirt cheap. You can ask for the Telkom or MTN Sim card price from the airport, but it should not be more than a USD. Otherwise, you can come outside the airport, and buy sim from any shop, just you got to have your passport and proof of residence.

My 9 days business trip to Pretoria is coming to an end and I would like to provide some feedback before returning to my routine back home.
As suggested by a Norfolklad I booked a room for the weekend at Protea Hatfield Apt in order to avoid any type of problems with guests and to be able to reach restaurants, shopping centers etc on foot.
Even if it served the purpose, I do not recommend this hotel that is quite shoddy for its price as well as extremely noisy during the weekends. The students parties (ear breaking music, yelling drunken teenagers.) last until the sunrise and if you are in block F is just like having the whole club in your bedroom.
A good source claims that Sheraton is as guest friendly as Protea (in the sense that girls will just get in and head to the rooms without any questions) so if budget is not a problem I recommend to go for that
Finding girls is very easy through the websites that have been mentioned dozens of times here on ISG (won't repeat them as they can be found few posts above). However some tips from my source may be useful:
- look at the pictures. If a girl has something nice to show she will show it. So if for example you see two inviting melons covered by a bra, well it is likely that those melons once the bra is off will rather look like fettuccine. If in all the pictures your honey has a skirt or something to cover her legs, her arse may be too large to fit the bed and so on.
- Age: one thing is the real age another is the working age. If you want a young girl, don't pick one claiming she's 23/24 as most likely she is 30.

Was there last month and stayed off of Main St (near Fort). Met a number of women in bars, one of whom told me I could do anything to her that I wanted. ThanksI used taxis to get around between venues. Safe to walk around city areas during the day. Once the sun goes down, I always used a taxi. One night near Dublin there were weird people around so I took refuge in an internet cafe where I called a taxi to the door.
Taxi are also dirt cheap in CT.

Advice to first time visitors coming to SA.
This should be of use to all tourists coming to SA. Theres a site called esa that have a very good record with women, sometimes you mite get the wrong ladie, but its not as bad as SEXTRADER. With the esa most of the pics are taken by there own photographer. So basically what you see is what you get.
There are plenty of scams, and ladies who do to tourists what is known as skimming, they are controlled by their nigerian pimp. Not sure if this is already too late, but I did not look into the forum for some time. I would advise the Parktonian Hotel in Bramfontain if you are a bit adventurous.
