Thanks!Well, you can get massage in 5 star hotels as Westin near gulshan 2 circle and Radisson near the airport. And if you pay extra usually you can get extra but honestly I dont think that its worth it and way too costly.

I received a call from the guy who runs the famous joint near Gulshan circle saying that they have raised the price. It seems that they must be having good business out there. Unlucky me, did not have the time and interest to visit that crowded joint in years now.

But, where else can you conveniently get a drink in this town, if not 5-star hotel bar. To the street to begin looking for the fun. Your night is going to depend on luck, i.e. which rickshaw driver you get. Selected a young, energetic one, clean dressed and off into the night. First-stop was nearby, behind a white metal sliding door, into courtyard of old house. About a dozen chicks in one room dressed in normal clothes, around 18-25 yo. A couple doable, but in lousy environment. Dirty rooms with a lot of hallway traffic. quoted 5k, came down to 2k, but passed. From there, rickshawed to tour of downmarket rundown 'hotel' type places with quotes as low as 1k ($14). Just too sleazy. Then we pedal to a 'bar' where from behind a grate I am handed two cans of Heineken. Thus fortified, we continue. More of the same. Until enough and back to the hotel. Once in front, volunteers to call girls, and its "ok, deliver the goods." Sitting outside, and enjoying the night and car pulls up. Driver ith two girls in the back. Good quality, but the deal is 'get in and we take you to place.' If they'd have come up to my hotel, it would have been too perfect. But, was wasn't interested in their agenda so passed. Lot of available women in Dhaka and don't doubt that a long term visitor would have a field day here.

Going to be staying at the Shertaton in a couple of weeks and have a few questions for anyone who can provide answers?
It seems the best place to find girls is at the disco in the Sheraton - what's the best time to be there?

The best time to be there is after 10pm. Most of the girls do have a good level of English. Some you have to appraoch but most will start talkign to you if you are sitting alone. They are ALL lookign to earn money. Most are just for a few hours but some will do overnight. They will try to charge us approx 6000 but they will come down to 3 or 4. Especially as it gets late. Like independents everywhere, the girls are a mixed bag. When you agree, you have to go to the front desk and they will note the girl's name. Not sure you can bring anyone in.

I'm a non resident Bangladeshi but I started mongering in Dhaka back in 90's! Trust me the best quality you'll find in some residential areas but only if you know some local pro (mostly businessmen) in Dhaka. Certainly never never in Sheraton/Westin/Radisson!!!!!!!
EZ Feelin used to get some nice fresh arrivals and though I highly respect him, I don't think he got the premium quality in Dhaka. I have now tried both the Park Road place and Ban Sarman on Road no 12. Park Road provides an excellent chinese Tuina massage with plenty of touching at the right places but nothing more!! The place is not very clean though!
Ban Sarman also provides reasonably good massage but the treatment rooms are not private. Its not relaxing at all!

Behind the Spanish embassy is a *****house. The Spanish embassy is easy to find in Gulsan near the big crossing. The front of the embassy is on the main street, on the right side is a allay. I was in Dhaka in March 10 staying at the Sheraton. Day one, checked in and went on to business as usual. Had dinner at the restaurant downstairs with a business associate of mine. I spent a bit of time in Dhaka in recent months and the best option for any mongers is probably the massage parlours. There were a couple that I would recommend: Avera Spa, which is in Road 11, Baridhara, and Reera, next to the Lakeshore Hotel. At the Avera you are guaranteed a HJ with each massage, the girls won't be shy in asking you if you want 'extras', although they are not model-types by any means. I think they are from the Garo tribe in Bangladesh, so oriental in looks. There was one younger girl with a great smile, but the other two were not blessed in the looks department. Though a good option for a nice massage and quality HJ. They don't rush you either. Price was BDT2, 400 for the massage and they won't give you the HJ without a BDT1, 000 tip (they might ask for more if you are new, but stick with BDT1, 000).
The Reera Spa is much more quality set-up, quite classy (for Bangladesh) and, again, you can get a good massage there if you want just that. Girls are a mix of Banglas and Thai girls. I went there three times: first time I asked for extras, and the Thai girl was only to willing to help. BDT1, 000 tip for a nice HJ. The second time I got the Thai manager, who usually works at reception, as the other girls were busy. When I asked her for extras she seemed genuinely shocked and asked who I had seen last time. I didn't grass the girl up though. And the third time no joy either. So I used to frequent Avera much more often, as I knew what I would get. Price at Reera similar to Avera.
Apart from the massage parlours, there aren't really any clubs in Dhaka. A couple of brothels, as have been mentioned earlier in the forum. The Spanish Embassy one is the one most rickshaw walas will take you too, as they get a cut. It's fine if you like that sort of thing, a little rough around the edges but a good selection of girls when I went. There were a couple of other places around Gulshan the rickshaw guys mentioned to me, but I didn't go. Don't worry too much about them taking you anywhere, Dhaka is pretty safe if you are a Westerner. I think I paid BDT4, 000 at the Spanish Embassy place and it's quite safe. If you are not used to the sub continent you will worry about why there are loads of guys hanging around inside, but that is how it is here, never any privacy, but they are not going to cause any trouble for you.
Anyway, I found Dhaka easier to monger in than India, none of the hassles and uptight women you get in India, although the variety is not so much. But you can definitely have a good time there. Enjoy!

I'm expecting to be in Dhaka for one week from Monday 23rd July. I think I am being booked in to the Rupshi Bangla Hotel. But can probably intervene and make my own booking if there is a good reason too.
I've spent 30 minutes or so reading the forum here and it's brought a smile to my face. I didn't think that there would be much action, but there seem to be a few spas which would be perfect. Reasonably priced too. Plus other options, I'm sure.
A couple of requests for advice though:

I have been offered a 12 month contract based in Dhaka starting in January. I posted some time ago enquiring about the Dhaka scene. My visit was delayed but is now confirmed for next week, Monday to Friday. I will be staying at the Ruposhi Bangla and should have free time to myself in the evenings.
There really doesn't seem to be anyone sharing much information about where to go. The only place I can see is Gulshan 1, which I will probably try (La Diplomat?). It would be much appreciated if anyone could share some more specific information about what to expect here (a bar was mentioned. Is this just a cover for a brothel or is it a bar with a "bar fine" equivalent that you pay in Thailand / The Philippines?
I will definitely report back here with my experiences but at present, I think all that I will be able to comment on is the existence / non-existence of FL in the *Sheraton bar, and a wiuld goose chase around Glashan 1!

For what its worth. My trip there revealed that getting a lady at the Radisson is very possible. The quality and age group might not be that positive. But action is definitely possible.

At the murky bar, with noisy music blaring inside and an open garden area outside there is a limited amount of local talent available. Most was certainly over weight
(Saris help disguise the bellies).
Prices were high ($100 short time) but then se were the beer prices at BDT400 ($5) a can.
If you can face crossing the road in the appalling traffic the Sakura Bar and Restaurant has beer at BDT150. I did not test it late in the evening but rumour has it that ladies are available there.

3 weeks in Dhaka got changed to working all around Bangladesh and transiting through Dhaka. So I still stayed at The Pan Pacific on the transits. This is a good value hotel if the location works for you (Those who understand Dhaka traffic will understand that)
Went to the bar at about 9pm one evening. Had to stand there and let my eyes adjust to the dim light. Music was loud and certainly not to my liking and nearly had me walking out. There was a row of guys at the bar, tables had couples and a row of girls sitting at the back. One of these girls motioned me to come and sit with her. ThanksDon't cut out the house unless you do what I am doing, and pricing for what I am doing is based solely upon performance, availability, beauty, and especially exclusivity. In other words, whatever makes both of you happy. Nothing worse than an unhappy fuck.
The cheapest girls worth doing are found in nearly all the hotels on the west side of airport road just south of Kamal Ataturk Road intersection. Only problem is that you won't know which hotel or which floor to go to. This is where your rickshaw driver comes in the picture. Find a young one that speaks english. I just holler into a crowd of rickshaw drivers,"Who can speak english?" Pick the youngest one that answers in english. Tell him you want him to help you find girls. If he looks hesitant, like he might not know, grab another driver.
My experience has been that unless you want to settle for girls in the 2-5 range, you will pay around 3000 for an hour. Maybe 1500 for 20 minutes. That would be 37. 50 and 19. 00 respectively. Those places are ratholes, and if you get there even semi late, she will already have serviced as many as 10 guys. You can sometimes find a surprisingly good looker in those places, but everyone else thinks so too, so she will be well used.

The only less than $5. 00 locations I know of are in the border crossing towns where truckers may have to lay-over for up to a few days, and the oldest sections of Dhaka. This is my 8th trip to BD. 6 here in Dhaka, and 2 in Chittagong.

The only action I found (not that I was actively chasing it) was in the bar on the first floor. Go for a look, (I didn't like the music much) but got invited by the girls at the back to sit with them. Took one back to my room, nothing special but not terrible either. You have to go via reception where they take her ID and sign her in. When she leaves they phone you in the room to make sure everything is OK before they give her ID back. The desk is very helpful and the girls know the procedure so you just go with it.
Some nights of the week there is quite a good BBQ out by the pool that is worth trying as are all of the restaurants in the hotel. Ask for a room on the pool side and not the road side as they are quieter.
