Day 4, Thursday: Yangon.
I took advantage of Nana Hotel's breakfast buffet before taking a taxi to Don Muang airport. Day 5, Friday: Yangon.

An electronics shop near my hotel had a 'money-changer' sign outside and when I walked inside I found that they offered superior rates. I went in with a stack of prisine US dollars and left with a wad of crumpled kyat. Next I went to the travel agency in the lobby of my hotel and booked a flight up to Nyaung U for a few days time. This would be the start of a brief four-day touristy interlude in which I planned to visit the temples of Bagan and then Mandalay. Although I would see if I could sniff out any action in both places, mainly it would be a case of relaxing before I went to the Pattaya. None of Asia's budget airlines fly from Yangon to Nyaung U so I paid $80 for a seat on Air Mandalay.
My afternoon was spent exploring Yangon. I visited the golden Sule Pagoda which sits in the middle of a busy roundabout and then relaxed in the park nearby. I visited the oldest temple in Yangon which sat in very peaceful grounds and then had ice-cream at Nylon with lots of young Burmese couples. I visited a large indoor market where I saw one of the most attractive girls I have ever seen sitting in the textiles section. She had pale skin and amazing features, a supermodel in waiting. My day culminated in a trip to the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda. It was highly impressive and I stayed there for a few hours as I watched the sun set. Yangon definitely has plenty of interesting places to visit for tourists.
My plan tonight was to visit JJ's, another 'must-visit' in Yangon. Some reports online suggest that JJ's is now closed so as a contingency I had drawn up a list of other potential places to visit. The problem with Yangon is that information is sparse and in many cases out-of-date. For example I'd read about a bar called Palace which is located in the same building as Emperor. One guy said it had the best selection of girls in Yangon but that was a few years ago and things can change very quickly. Was it still open? I read another report that opposite Emperor are a few more bars worth investigating. 369 and Zero Zone. But the report was several years old and I couldn't find any current information. I did remember hearing music on that side of the street when I went to Emperor so maybe one or both is still there? I figured that I could try visiting 369, Zero Zone and Palace as they are close to each other. If all three were closed or if I couldn't find a suitable girl there would always be the option to go back to Emperor. Alternatively I could talk to one of the touts outside and organise a 'pizza delivery'. There's something exciting about waiting on a dark corner for a driver to arrive with girls on the back of a motorbike. I met a gem of a girl like this in Sanur, Indonesia, when a power-cut meant I couldn't visit any of the X-houses.
Another option in Yangon are the discos. Music Club in the basement of Park Royal stays open late and has high-end freelancers who quote $100 or more. The description 'high-end' troubles me as often that means good-looking girls who act like princesses and expect you to pay over-the-odds for the privelege of spending time with them. On the plus side there is lots of up-to-date intel about this place so it is obviously going strong. Apparently Pioneer Disco on Ahlone Road also has freelancers available for lower prices.
However none of this happened. At Shwedagon Pagoda I met a fellow Brit who had been backpacking around Asia for a year. He was good company and we ended up eating together at a local-style canteen near Sule Pagoda. Before long we'd downed lots of beer and set the world to rights. My favourite part of the conversation was when we were discussing women of different nationalities and he told me that he'd fallen in love with a girl who worked at his hostel in Colombia. He told me rather graphically what a tiger she had been in bed and how she'd taught him things he'd never done before. South America is a place I have never visited but one day I will do the horizontal Tango with a few of the local ladies.
To give you an idea of how cheap Yangon is, my meal comprised of two main courses and on top of that I had six beers and two whiskeys. The bill came to just $7 and that included a generous tip. Although hotels are expensive in Yangon, food, taxis and day-to-day expenses certainly aren't.
I walked back to my hotel feeling rather merry. I wasn't disappointed not to take a girl as I'd already fucked six girls in four days on this trip and besides, I'd had sex with Titi and Tutu when I woke up. Like a good long distance runner, it's important to pace yourself.

Yangon day 6, Saturday.
I expected to wake up with a hangover but I woke at 11am fresh as a daisy. This was my last day in Yangon before the touristy part of my holiday in Bagan and Mandalay. I'd be visiting those places for four days and since I didn't expect to pick up any girls, it was important to leave Yangon with a bang.
During the afternoon I went on the 'circular train' around the city. It was a good way to see city-life merging in to the surrounding countryside and the trip lasted three hours. At the penultimate station a stunning Burmese girl stepped on to the train. She had beautiful dark skin, long curly hair and was dressed elegantly in a yellow dress. A taxi was sitting outside Asia Plaza. I asked the driver "JJ's?" with a sense of trepidation as I'd heard reports that it is now closed but he nodded his head and quoted me a fare of 3000 kyat. Yangon's taxis don't have meters but drivers seem to quote 3000 kyat regardless of where the destination is (the exception being the airport). JJ's is located in Mingalar township near Kandaygyi Lake which is over double the distance to Emperor, yet both fares were the same.
The journey took ten minutes and we pulled up outside a large building. It was busy outside with lots of people stood next to the road. I paid the driver and when I stepped out on to the pavement a young man in a smart shirt asked "JJ sir?" He walked me down an alley to the entrance and we took a lift up to the 4th floor. He told me "JJ not start yet. Disco 10pm, fashion show 11pm". The time was 8. 30pm but I didn't mind as I like to arrive early to survey the scene. Besides the early bird catches the worm! Some people suggested online that JJ's was closed permanently but the young man explained that it was only closed from November 5th to December 5th.
I paid the 4000 kyat entrance fee which also entitled me to a free half-pint glass of beer. It was a bigger club than Emperor but with a similar layout, a dance floor surrounded by seating areas. Up three steps were lots of tables and stools which is where I chose to sit as it was where most of the girls gathered. One clear improvement was the lighting, I didn't need night-vision goggles like Emperor! From my stool I could see around the whole bar which made it much easier to gauge the talent. It was early and there were only 15 girls but those I saw looked very promising. One was a tall girl wearing a figure-hugging black dress. Her hair was tied up and she was a 9/10 in my books.
Unlike Emperor, no girls swarmed around me which I saw as a positive as I like to make my own choice of companion. But then three scruffy looking Japanese men walked in and the girls circled them like vultures. By 9pm there were 40 girls and I had spotted three gorgeous specimens. The standard in JJ's was definitely higher than Emperor. By 10. 30 the place was very busy and there were about 100 girls, the large majority of which weren't sitting with a customer. The talent-levels were very high and I spotted ten girls I'd rate 8/10 or more. None were prettier than Ju-Jue though. People who think that there is a set price for all girls in places like JJ's are living in a dream-world. While I'm sure that some of the lower-rung girls would gladly accept $40, there was no way in a million years that Ju-Jue, or indeed any of the stunners that swarmed around the Japanese customers, would accept that price.
The fashion show started at 11pm and it felt like more of an event than Emperor. The girls paraded around the stage in elegant outfits and there was even a bit of dancing involved. It reminded me of one of the catwalk shows in Angeles. The Japanese customers lapped it up and after 20 minutes most of the girls had been given a garland of flowers. It was funny to watch. The standard of girls was no higher than the rest of the club, yet the Japs were competing with each other like they were panic-buying in the January Sales! I was very impressed with JJ's. It's a better venue than Emperor and in my opinion the standard of girls is higher. Another advantage is that it stays open until 3am as opposed to Emperor which closes at midnight. I was just wondering whether you got your visa on arrival (at the Yangon airport) , and how much did it cost. Also, for money I used ATMs to get cash advances from my credit card. It was worth the four dollar fee / transaction, as I did not want to carry so many crispy dead presidents on my person. There is an ATM just around the corner from the club. Looking forward to your future posts.

Last month we migrated the forum to a new, more powerful server.
The latest version of PHP on the new server included several subtle changes that were not compatible with our programming code.
These differences were so subtle that it took several days for the anomalies to be identified. Once we identified that we had a code compatibility issue, my programmer and my server administrator worked diligently for several days to comb through all of the forum's code searching for and modifying our code to work with the new version of PHP.
One anomaly was that a small number of posts were "eaten" by the system. We believe it was limited to posts containing a very specific, very little used character that we believe was either a hyphen or a semicolon. We're not exactly sure because our subsequent code modifications fixed the problem, thus preventing any additional examples of the anomaly.
Any member whose post content was inadvertently not published is welcome to re-post their original content.

The argument of low lighting at Emperor is not a strong argument.It is if you want to have a longer window to find a girl than 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm. During that time Emperor is well-lit and you can see all of the girls but a lot of the best lookers will already be taken by the Japs and Koreans. Before and after the fashion show, the entire venue is plunged in to darkness and you can only see girls who are stood very close to you. It strikes me as very strange. Using an interpreter, I have been told by 3 girls on different occasions that if the fee is $50, the girl gets $30 and the mommy gets $20. You can decide for yourself if that's a better deal for the girl or mamasan. From my perspective, it's a good price for me and I usually tip extra. This is a poor place and $50 all night is about 1/6 of what I pay in developed countries. Of course other people are trying to get by on less money and they can offer whatever price they think its worth to them. I didn't post either an unblurred nor a totally obscured photo for a few reasons. It is possible the test was false positive and I didn't want to publicly "out" the girl if my test was wrong (2% probability). But there is enough information in the photo that if you've read the post and you pick up a young thin girl with hair like hers wearing a gold necklace, then you should be very safe. But then you probably should be very safe anyway.

To anyone new to the forum who is thinking about going to Yangon, my advice is go. Burma is a beautiful country and Yangon has more than adequate pay-for-play opportunities for a few days. Emperor and JJ's are rich hunting grounds with lots of lovely girls available for cheap prices. Not a huge amount of P4 P outside of Yangon though. Getting around can be a bit of a pain, flights are unreliable and the trains are poor, but the buses are reasonably good from what I've been told.
People are very friendly and there is a lot of info on this forum as well as some in the Thailand forum.
I may pop down to Yangon in a couple of weeks for a looksee.

I have traveled extensively around Asia and it's one of the most beautiful, interesting tourist destinations I have been to. I highly recommend Lake Inle and Bagan. In terms of pay-for-play, there is very little outside Yangon so it is not a place to go specifically for the girls. In Myanmar you are probably not allowed to go to these places anyway. The road to Maymyo is reasonably good and is not affected by the rains, it's the main route to China. Not sure if the boats are affected or not, I once took the boat from Mandalay to Bagan, which was quite interesting.

I haven't done the Bagan to Inle lake trip for 18 years, but I think this road would be good.
Yes, most trips are by modern, air conditioned buses, the trains are just too slow. There are several local airlines that fly to a lot of the towns, so these are an option. I think that is the only realistic way of getting to the beach at Ngapali.
Spent 1 night in Yangon enroute to a job posting, took a glance in at JJ's, having in previous visits been to Emperor, Zeros and a few others.
JJ's IMO probably the best selection of SYT.

The hotels are in two centres, the Southern hotel zone and Northern hotel zone. There are no massage parlours, street walkers, etc around any of them. Also, almost none of the hotels have bars. There are some KTV bars out in Pyinmana but you need a car to get there. I've heard you can get girls there to take back to your hotel but I haven't tried. I'm on a government project with a gov supplied car and driver, and these guys tell everyone everything you do. I know this because I get told what one of my staff gets up to on weekends. It's not worth the risk for me and as I have to go out of the country every 10 weeks it's not important enough for me to bother about. You could take a taxi but you probably won't be able to get a taxi back. There are some ok beer stations out that way if you feel like a cheap beer (500 kyat a glass) but they are a bit local and not to everyone's taste. I personally like them and go there a bit, but most of the colleagues I take to them don't like them.
Some good restaurants out that way as well, Feel restaurant and Breeze bar are two I go to regularly. There are almost no expats here, probably about 10, so nobody caters for them. Hope you play golf, there's not much else to do here!

I take money out of ATM's all the time, I don't bother with US $. KBZ and CB bank both support overseas cards. Both my Singapore and Australian cards work. There is an ATM in the arrival hall at Yangon airport.
I suggest you do bring some cash though in case your card doesn't work, I know some people who haven't been able to get cash out. Credit cards are hit and miss, some places say they take them but their machines never work. Probably poor connections to the banks. You will need to bring very crisp US $ notes. You get a better exchange rate for larger notes. Any tears or ink marks and they will not get accepted, even in banks.

I was there 6 years ago I took taxi with othre people from tachelek over the bridge from mae sai. Took about 7 hours. There was talent tbere a line of brothels on street. There was hotels plus gambling it seemed safe.
Was there recently and this is not how I Would describe the situation.

I was in Yangon for a night last week and found a good restaurant, Monsoon, just off the Strand near the British and Australian embassies. Reasonable prices and very good quality. It's on google maps.
I normally don't post about restaurants and tourist attractions, and I am in no way connected with this restaurant, however I have noticed a lot of posters complaining about the lack of god food in Yangon. To be honest, the local food does kind of suck, there are a few dishes that aren't bad but in general the food is not to my taste.
I was with my family so I couldn't undertake any hobbying whilst there. I stayed at the Strand, which was very nice, but pretty expensive. No girls in the bar and I didn't see any girls that looked like they were going in with customers so I'm not sure if it's a GF friendly hotel, but I would suspect it isn't.

Most of them are very clean and offer just a Burmese traditional massage.

One of the sisters is working in the Spa of the Amazing Nyaungschwe hotel but one the sisters has a massage place at their home.
She is a bit shy and it doesn't make sence to ask immediately after a happy ending but if you return 2 or 3 times you can get it.
She is cute, young slim but doesn't speak English very well.
To get there from the Amazing Nyaungschwe hotel turn left over the bridge, then the first to the right and just follow the signs.
Even in Yangon many massage places are clean and offer nothing.

This is the first I have heard of a HIV test kit. Call me uninformed. I suppose they can be purchased at a pharmacy. Can you provide more info on the kits. Cost - reliability. How long does it take to complete the test. This is good info and by the way Your handling of this cituation was first class.Well, if you read the original post, all your questions are there. But since I'm bored here's the details:
1) test OraQuick Rapid Test, see this link. http://www.oraquick.com/.
2) buy them online or in USA pharmacies, not sure about other locations, but likely.
3) cost: USD35.00 per test if purchased from Amazon in bulk of 3-6 tests.
4) reliability, check website, but generally as good as at a lab if swabbed correctly.
5) time, 20 minutes. So get the girl into the room, swab her gums and start the test. By the time you are ready for anything dangerous, that's intercourse, you should have your answer. (Nearly all data indicates that a BBBJ is close to an impossible way of transmitting HIV).
Note, if the girl has recently contracted HIV, this test will not catch it. But, IMO the girl would have to be very unlucky to have contracted it in the prior 60 days unless she was having repeated unprotected sex with an HIV+ guy. So this will catch many of the HIV+ Population, but not all. It's good additional insurance.

I don't know of any hotels that don't follow the government rules about keeping records. I don't think you should be too worried. Burma has almost no computer technology and any old hotel guest registers are probably just going to collect dust in some store room or be tossed out. This isn't Beijing. Even there it wouldn't be an issue. However, I do have a friend that owns a small 2 star hotel. If you wanted to contact me when you get in town maybe I could help you. I have mailed my money to get a subscription but don't have one yet. Hopefully soon. Then you can PM me.

I have only been to Pioneer club once, but it was a couple of days ago. It is a regular disco. I got there at about 2230, and was a bit disappointed by the selection of girls. But as far as I could work out there are more later. The music is very loud, so it is difficult to talk to people. I would bring ear plugs. The girls are a bit more expensive than some other places, seemingly more freelance too (which has advantages and drawbacks). I found JJ's more convenient than Pioneer so far, though the area around it and entrance have a much, much more dingy feel and you have to get used to handling the touts, waiters, mamasans etc.

Thank you! Is it possible to buy a quick hiv-test in Yangon and how much is it?I don't think you can buy the quick tests in Yangon. But I do know that the clinics use them so there might be a way. I usually buy them from Amazon who will ship internationally. If you are serious about protecting yourself, then you should bring your own test kits. But the quick test only shows antibodies which take 30-90 days to appear, so a clean test only means that the girl wasn't HIV positive a few months ago, but she could be now.
Recently I had a bad experience. I tested the girl after sex (stupid me) and she came up positive. I had used protection for the actual act, but there was other contact. I took the girl to a clinic for a blood test in the morning. It confirmed HIV+. I freaked, but everything is ok now (for me). I tried to get the girl into a free clinic, but the mamasan blocked her from going. I think she is still working.
Don't bareback these girls. HIV is spreading in Burma.

I have to wonder with now several HIV+ girls working, by whom are they getting infected? Most brothels in Yangon are in houses that are only known to locals. I was a lucky one to have visited the underground brothels whilst I was there. I was leaving pioneer one night empty handed and a little frustrated. Approached a taxi, told him where I want to go and agreed the going rate with him, BTW I was on my way home. As I was getting in to the cab a local guy approaches me and asks if I want a lady, without hesitating I said yes. He jumped in to my cab and took me to what I would describe as a normal neighborhood, I did try to remember where we were going but I was a little intoxicated. Anyway, the guy asks me to follow him and we enter what I would say is normal house. The front room was turned in to a bar, by that I mean some cheap strip of neon lights, a couple of chairs and a stereo. I wait in the room which was guarded by a couple of young guys and few minutes later I get a line up of 4-5 girls. Looking at the state of them (hygiene) I politely refused and the pimp says no problem, I will take you to another place. In we get to our cab and off we go to yet another location very very similar and I experience the same crap, young girls who haven't washed etc. At that point I just said to the pimp I will go home. Got to my apartment and gave the taxi driver extra for the drive around at which point the pimp starts asking for money and I refused and walked off. So to answer your question, yes there are brothels, but they are not clean, I am guessing if wanted to shag in any of those places, I could have done. You are better off staying away from such places.

The kind I use work with either blood or just swabbing the girls mouth / gums which is generally much easier to get a girl to agree to. Also, these aren't approved in developed markets so not sure how well they work.

I just left Kawthaung, where I was mongering for a few days. I chose to go because I'd read good things about Ranong (just across the border) and was also interested in sampling the offerings in Myanmar.
I'd read reports online about KTVs operating openly in the area that were really just fronts for prostitution, but there was not very much info available on actual location of these places. The first day I was there I decided to walk around and see if I could find them, but my journey turned up nothing.
Ultimately I got a moto taxi driver around 9 PM and made the universal hand sign for fucking. We went pretty far from the town center up the eastern coast of the peninsula, out where most of the fishing boats tie up. I'd estimate we went 5-6 km outside of town, down some dirt roads, and to a little house with 3 girls. If my visit had been a daytime one I'm sure it would have been a normal restaurant, but come nightfall all the diners clear out and the ladies move in. There were 3 girls lounging about, all a little bit heavier and older than I was looking for, so I decided to move on.
I told my driver him "no" and "too old" in broken Thai and he took me to another place 1 km further on. This second house also had a restaurant area with girls like the first but also appeared to have a bar attached in a another room that seemed to be quite busy with men and women alike. The restaurant half had 4 girls available. Two were in their late twenties and two were in their late teens. One of the teens was a little heavy and the other nice and slim, so I settled on the latter for 500 be.
Services were rendered in the back, where there were several cubicles (3 m walls and no ceiling) with a mattress inside. It looked like where the girls slept at night. It was more of a sausage fest. Cut my losses and headed to cafe liberal only to find out its shut for renovation. Taxi driver was good and suggested DJ bar is open till late. He was correct. In general I don't pay any more than 80 k Kyat. All depends on the service I get so anything between 50 k to 80 k and I don't ask the girls upfront on rates. I just take them, and pay them in the morning. If a girl asks me how much I would pay her, I just tell her I'm not interested.

The oil massage was really ok and the oily HJ was first rate, not sure if any other service was offered but I didn't ask as I only wanted HJ. The girl was chosen for me, I didn't get to pick but they did ask me want I wanted, I said I wanted a slim young girl, she turned out to be 28 slim and quite pretty, she is number 20 if you go.
At night I went to JJ disco, it was packed with Freelancers and I got attacked by about 10 girls as soon as I walked in the door, you get a free beer with entrance fee and you are led to a table, the girls just stand around you until you pick one or tell them to go away. I spent 4 weeks in Myanmar last year, spent the entire length of my visa and stayed quite some time in Mandalay. It is a great place for tourism, but I think it is the worst place for monger in whole south east Asia.
The e Visa online was easy, 50 USD and got the approval letter in my email the same afternoon, talking about first world efficiency here.
In Mandalay there are only local venues, still no established foreign venue. There are many brothel houses. One of the bell boy took me for an adventure 2 times. There are really spread out all over the city, one here one there, and no way to tell it's brothel from outside unless some pimp call you. There are rooms on site but there are the dirtiest brothel rooms I have ever seen in all Asia. They quote me 25000-50000 kyat. I still not sure the real local price since I went both times with a bell boy.
These places are the most user unfriendly brothels I have ever been in Asia, when I did not take a lady from a house, the pimp always ask me for a tip, I eventually both times coerced to take a lady but I knew I would never get excited in these conditions. But honestly I saw a few young cuties here and there, but the atmosphere there is the worst I have been to in all southeast Asia houses.
I also found a sex massage. It is in Pacific hotel, but you have to use their hotel room as I was told, I was quoted 65000 plus room fee I don't know, I think the pimp tried to rip me so did not take a girl, but there were 2-3 quite doable ones.
I think the most popular local venue is the fashion show, I saw quite a few of them in town, most ladies are okay for take out. I did take out 2 girls, one from the beer bar next to the Yangon-Mandalay bus terminal, one from some place north of city near the river. The one from bus terminal beer bar, I paid 100,000 all inclusive, bar fine and service, very very cute and nice body, but no clue about blow job. She said she only get 2-3 customers a month. I tried to ask her out on my own, but she never picked up my phone so gave up.
There are also freelancers working through pimps on the street or hotel staff. The price is not cheap. A bellboy tried very hard to persuade me to take a lady on his phone, eventually he brought her for viewing, I did not like her and rejected, she wanted 50 USD, I said I would do for 30000, but no deal, and keep asking me for a tip or gas money.
I really had a good time traveling in Mandalay and surrounding areas, and Bagan. Bagan also has several local brothels, and they are definitely not for the faint-hearted.

First trip to Yangon. Just under an hours flight from Bangkok. Thai Airways 8,000 baht return. E-visa online $50. Picked up Telenor simcard, and speed was good. Airport Taxi to Park Royal hotel was 8,000 Kyat.
Park Royal Hotel, breakfast buffet was good, rooms on roadside are noisy, ask for one overlooking swimming pool. Wi-fi was decent. Lobby bar had happy hour 6-9 pm, and great Chinese.
Restaurant on second floor. Hotel was guest-friendly, but ladies need to have ID card. Basement nightclub called Club 5 had approx 20 ladies every night, free-lancing, they were asking $100 longtime, but this was negotiable. Their English speaking skills was weak. They were there from 8 pm onwards.
Ice bar in basement of Sedona Hotel had a few freelancers, and a great Philippine band in the evenings.
Pioneer Club at Yangon International Complex had a lot of ladies working, but venue was so smoky, and music so loud (techno type tunes) I didn't hang around long. Their is a second room adjoining main dance floor where a lot of ladies hang-out. Outside their was a busy Black Canyon restaurant too.
My favorite venue was JJ's, all the taxi's know it. Lots of ladies inside, also groups of ladies in traditional dress dancing for tinsel. Freelancers were requesting $80 in there. A couple didn't have ID, and their English was not very good. The only negative with this place was from lady escorting you upstairs, waiter. Toilet attendant, lift operator, they all hang around for a tip. When you sit down, you get get bombarded with groups of girls, you have to be quite blunt and choose one you want to stay, and send the others on their way. A few local guys dancing and drinking inside too.
I never got to Emperor's but did walk past it in the daytime, round the corner from Chinatown. Saw a couple of massage shops in Chinatown with young girls sitting outside, that looked like they had potential.
Facebook and Wechat doesn't seem to have impacted on Yangon yet, most girls had Viber. I had a great week, loved the food there, and its not nearly so touristy as Thailand. If you are after sophisticated conversation and nudity then definitely not the right place for to go) but if you want something different, then Yangon is an interesting city.

Better take the quoted rate and if in the room later she asks to go early, then agree (as you do not want to keep a girl who does not want to be there) and offer her 20 k less than the agreed rate, which she will generally accept (and then ask for taxi money, which you should always give, 5 k). I was last there mid-March, a month ago.
2. About times. We like to go later and enjoy party vibe when clubs are in full swing. Who goes at 19-20 o'clock? Well, the same people everywhere in Asia who go at this time: sad sack little weenies where this is their idea of a real date. They walk in wearing flip flops and shorts when the place just opens, the lights are still on, girls are just coming to work, then point and click without preliminaries, no drink, nothing, just out the door with their prize looking so self-satisfied. I gave him the riot act, but he laughed it off like he was playing a joke, which prevented him from getting his a$$ beat. Also, a few nights later, some douche bag cut in front of me when I was ordering street food, and proceeded to steal from this poor old lady trying to make a living for herself. Recently I finished my long awaited adventure to Mong La. I and some friends had been planning this for a while, and finally we set our time and carried out our trip. It was a really eye opening adventure.
I and a friend met in Tachileik, and another two friends from the 141 site also wanted to join us but they would be coming from the China side. A bro from Sammy's arranged for us a nice Toyota with a driver guide in Tachileik. He took care all the formalities for us smoothly, passing through several check points, and got us the travel permit at one of them, and check point officials kept the passport there until we came back. We paid may be a bit more 120 USD, but the driver guide took care everything without we even getting off car.
The whole journey took about 7 hours. We stayed at the China Town Hotel, and went to change money. This is in theory Myanmar, but in practice is China. All money is in yuan only, all signs in Chinese, all the people in the city speak Chinese.
The next day, my 2 pals from 141 site who traveled to China and made their way to the border Daluo, just took the motorbike and crossed the border without any immigration check, seems like all the tourists from China just come over without any travel documents.
But first problem my hotel won't let them stay without immigration stamp, so a taxi from hotel took them to a nearby casino hotel, no problem check in here, nice room only 200 RMB, even better and cheaper than mine.
This city is just amazing wild wild west. There are girls everywhere. They pass you name cards from streets, from casinos, restaurants, this really reminded me the old Zhuhai where all these angels walking up and down Lian Hua Lu passing out their name cards. They ask for 300, but we got a few down to 250, the choices were really abundant.
There are karaoke brothels all over town, but the on site rooms are not too clean, we tried a few just for experiences, price 200-300, service varies wildely from person to person. The girls also come from all different places, Chinese, Vietnamese, Burmese, Cambodians, even found a few Thai ladyboys.
I found at least 3 China sauna. The taxi driver told me there are 8. I tried the one in my hotel It was quite pricey, so only me and a friend went, and other 2 guys went for cheaper option, my lady was 750 RMB for 120 min, no limit of shots, so not too bad, got 2 shots off in 2 hours, plus a really really thorough tongue cleansing on my butt hole. We spent 4 nights here, it was a really long anticipated adventure, my two illegal entry friends have crossed again into China and flyed out of China safely. This is really a wild wild west town with it's own governing entity but controlled by China not Myanmar. The casinos, all these Chinese gamblers, then comes along the huge army of ladies of the night, it was a fun short adventure, a few pals from other site are planning to go in Nov, ask me to join them, surely it's tempting to go again.
Forget to mention, if you go to Mong La from Mae Sai, you need a real visa beforehand, the e visa letter does not work here, if you have visa, you do not need a guide to Mong La. If you go from the China side, most people just cross on a moto taxi without a visa, but it is officially illegal, but I see tons of Chinese do that all day, but one problem is big hotels will not accept customers without official entry stamps, but no worry there are many other hotels many with casino attached, will admit anyone even without any ID.
Another interesting thing is here is officially Myanmar but you see many Chinese police in uniform patrolling the streets.

After reading your report I immediately began searching the internet for more information about this little wild east hideaway and was kind of amazed. So I am adding Mong La to my dwindling short list of places I have to visit. I understand the girls working there are a from a mix of different countries including obviously China and Burma. They all live in outskirt of the town, the town is virtually all Chinese. Regarding the different types of working girls, the ones promote on the streets passing name cards are basically all Chinese, but ran into a few Viets as well, also saw a few Thai ladyboys. The lady houses are more of a mixtures. There is a whole row of houses by the market place, but many other places too, they sit around outside soliciting, Chinese still the most numerous, there are also Viets, Cambos, Burmese, Thais mixed in. I did not really pay attention to Burmese girls much, because Chinese girls overwhelm other ethnics, and some cute Viets could also be found. In 4 days I tried about 12-13 sessions, if I did not like a session I just stopped and move on next one. In my memory I only had one Burmese in a lady house and don't remember the details. We rely on name cards a lot late hours, call them and they show up your room, if you don't like it, you can send them away, but a few asked me for a 10 RMB tip for walking here, which was fine. By the way, in Mong la you need to get a Chinese sim not Myanmar sim. And remember to tune your time same as Beijing not Yangon. We had no problem finding cute ones from these walking and soliciting on the streets, we just kept the cards of these we think worth calling later.
I tried one sauna but looked at another one for lineup. The girls were mixed, they had Chinese, Cambos, Viets, Thais, but did not remember seeing any Burmese working in the expensive sauna. My girl said she is Chinese Vietnam, I think she means Vietnamese of Chinese descent. She was multi lingual, heard her speaking fluent Chinese and Viet with others, also she said she can communicate in Burmese as well. I saw one gorgeous Cambo in another hotel sauna, mamasan said she is Chinese Cambodian from Phnom Penh, did not have chance to take her, 800 RMB, I really regret it I did not try her out, just imaging her sticking her tongue into my butt hole gives me a sensation.
I may go back in Nov for a longer stay, several pals from 141 are planning a trip there, I really would not mind going again.

I spent a total of four nights in country.
First night was spent in Tachileik. Hired someone to show me around and we went around to the usual houses (nothing much has changed in town. Same setup as when I was last here). I took a girl from one of the houses I'd patronized last time (of course they have a new set of girls available now). She was 2500 bhat for the night.
Second night was in Kengtung. Hired man and I took the bus up there and hired a couple of local moto-taxis to take us to some spots. These guys took us to three bars which were due West out of Kengtung. The offerings were all older and fat, so I passed.
Third night, again in Kengtung, hired man wanted to go back with the same motorcycle guys. I insisted on finding a younger guy than the ones we'd had the day before, and it payed off big time. They took us due South on the main road to Tachileik, and we stopped at three different clusters of houses.
- The first was a row of five standalone houses with 3-4 girls each. Most of the girls were in their mid-20's, but one girl really stuck out. She was nice and slim and looked younger than the rest. I asked how much for LT and mama said 220,000 kyat (about $175). That was way too much for me, so we moved on.
- The second group was a row of storefront bars right on the main road to Tachileik. There were 3 places all clustered together, but the girls all looked older.
- The third group was a courtyard structure 50 meters to the west of the main road to Tachileik. It had seven individual houses, and there were some nice girls around 18-20.

Did you managed to go kengtung. Sometime around Feb. This year, the immigration at Tachileik won't allow me to go Kengtung because of fighting at the border towns. So I was only allowed to remain in Tachilek.
I have been trying to work out the best places in Myanmar to monger. My impression from reading through past posts on the forum and from spending som time in Yangon and Naypiydaw:
1. Yangon.
2. Mong La.
3. Keng Thung.
Apart from those three places, it seems pretty dead. It would be great if anyone could recommend another place in Myanmar. I am interested in places with a reasonably large selection of girls, especially SYTs.

I was in Keng Tung last week and tried very hard to go to Mong La, but it was utterly impossible for a foreigner to go there due to some conflict between the Burmese military and armed ethnic groups. Seems the Chinese are still able to cross over from China, but no access for Westerners.

If I remember correctly, 2013 the price of emperor girl for overnight is USD40, I called two and 3 P that time.

Visa Situation:
I was last in Tachileik 6 months ago. I used eVisa and strongly recommend it. You get to keep your passport and that's worth the cost to me. Make sure to print out the authorization that you are given once your eVisa is approved.
You can still do the old exchange passport for visitor permit process, but there is no longer a day pass where you keep your passport.
Hotels:
The Nich hotel is right near the border crossing. It's very GF (never been given trouble with 10 girls taken there). Rooms are reasonably priced, comfortable, and you don't have to do any walk of shame as the entrance to the rooms is separate from the lobby.

Frankly I didn't think it was all that amazing. There are a couple of sensational journalist reports about the Wild East and crazy sex offered with rare type of people, of live tigers, of drugs. I think these were written by authors that wanted to publish something exotic-sounding. It makes tantalizing reading, but it mostly bullshit. I spent 2 days there with a guide who speaks Chinese, Khmer, and English. There was none of that there. Yes, I saw some tiger parts for sale in a hidden market and some bear gall bladders. Yes, there are prosititutes but the quality was pretty average, the prices not cheap, the service not good. I was not offered any virgins for $50/ night. There were no posters offering undr-age women delivered to your hotel.

One thing that is sold there is the HIV prophylactic TENOVIR. If you are worried about HIV, you can buy Tenovir at the Myittar Mon pharmacy across from the hospital, near Chinatown. Cost is about $1. 00/ pill. Dose is 1 tablet a day. Start about a week before and continue a week after and you will have extra protection. So, for a 1 week visit, $21 will buy some peace of mind. HIV is common in Yangon, especially with older workers.
City Mart sells Durex Play lube (at least China town branch) in the pharmacy part near the entrance.

Typical chicken farm performance: dirty, no BJ, no licking her (believe me, you don't even want to lick her), no kissing, just fuck her while she's laying down doing nothing. I visited the border city, not much change and not much new except I found the prices lower. Some for four hundred, more for five, many for six, and some for seven hundred, there was one for twelve hundred, smoking: yes, no, no. I just walked away from that snobby place with ten, twelve pre-Madonna's, I just walked in and walked out. One place with four, five candidates and first I thought for sure they were ladyboys, for four hundred and I think they would have gone down to three hundred if I had shown any interest. And there was this place that is like a courtyard with ten, twelve shags, all at four hundred, perhaps one or two were duable.
I visited seven, eight places and I knew there were the past that there were at least two more perhaps more but was it worth to find them? You have to be firm and patient and ready to walk away before hearing the prices drop. I did a dead fish with a pretty face for four hundred to warm up but it cooled me down instead.
Amnesia is right, it is always hit and miss and the places are shags; my luck I didn't encounter any smelly ones. The problem is that it does not matter what price; it is always that same lousy service except with a prettier face. Yes, it would be possible to back track your way to places you were taken but some hard to reach on foot. I used those motorbikes with cover; I think there is a name for them, each trip good for up to two visits for a hundred baht RT and each time with a different driver, couldn't locate the good guide.
At one place a lineup of about fifteen or more starting at five hundred, then seven hundred and twelve hundred. Interesting enough those at seven hundred tier prices were more attractive than others, go figure. At a different place, a lineup of fifteen or more of young women all at five hundred but none would give you an appetite or erection, perhaps if they dressed up a bit or use some cosmetics. My question is that with that abundance of candidates is there a local market for that?
On a related note, I noticed those who would greet you up front with smile and charming attitude, . Would give more attitude and less service. Perhaps the thrill for them is just to take away the business from others. I did not try take out.
You may want to stay away from the Nich hotel and the other two next to it, I thought the heavy presents of black SUVs could be sign of NGO's and / or WHO. Better locations would be pass the night market, closer to where you would like to go and more local service places available. I had a hard time finding decent foods. You may want to avoid EVA Airlines because their cost cutting campaign is going too far and don't risk it with Xiamen.
You have to plan on staying for more than a couple of days to get hold of the scene, better yet skip this town and move on to your next destination otherwise; try to keep the prices in check.

I wrote this report a while ago, but neglected to post.
It is an old city, with lots of historically old beautiful buildings. But it is quite run down and among the least developed capital cities I have visited. I keep wandering around thinking I will bump into some cool cafes and hangouts, or fun bars, but there are hardly any. And what there is closes about 11 pm.
There are some very fetching women here, out in their traditional longyi dresses. But on the street I have not had much luck in catching their eyes. Seems few speak English. Online there are girls on WeChat, but they are difficult to engage. They greet me as being nearby, but then send garbled messages and emoticons. Sometimes they do video calls, making funny noises and laughing. But I have not succeeded in making myself understood or arranging to meet up.
The other night did stop by some of the bars on Shwedagon Pagoda Road between Maha Bandula and Anawrahta Road. It was 11 pm. The lights for Empire Disco were out, and the people outside said it was closed. Across the street I could hear singing, so took the lift up, but there was no one inside already. On the street there were touts trying to offer girls from nearby parked cars, but I did not pursue it.
One of the touts asked if I wanted a massage. It was getting late, but for your benefit I looked. Let me say that my experience has been that the locals were sincere. I had all good experiences with no sense of someone taking advantage. Not taxi drivers, not touts, not waiters. When they talk to you they are nice, and not looking to take advantage, or not in a big way.
The massage place is on the 6th floor of one of the building entrances north of Empire. In fact, it turned out to be a decrepit KTV. Huge rooms with old, nasty, torn couches. They brought me a girl. She was cute, but too thin to bang for my taste, though I would have gone for a massage. But I asked about the massage, they said "no massage, boom boom". I am not sure if they expected me to bang her on the dirty couch or take her out. But I took a graceful exit saying I was looking for massage. As I left I asked how much was boom boom? Sixty dollars. I said thanks and walked away, and could he him offer forty dollars as I went down the stairs. I did not feel any pressure, they were all, even the girl I said no to, were quite friendly.
The following night I went back to Empire Disco, arriving about 10. You enter through what looks like the grimy entryway to a closed market, go around to the right, take the lift to the 5th floor. In the lift, a friendly waiter engaged me in conversation. He is from Shan Province, growing up with a mother who taught him English and Mandarin. He was chatty, which always makes me suspicious. But in the end, he was a great help, and never put his hand out.
He explained that the entrance was K5,000 ($3.70), including a free drink and peanuts. The place is quite big, with couches arranged in seating groups and in the middle a dance floor. Along one long side runs a bar. There were doors around the parameter, which I expect are VIP rooms. He took me to an empty couch and explained the drinks. He said they close at midnight, but turn off the lights at 11 pm – per the law. He then went on to explain how it works with the girls. On the dance floor, there were about eight girls in gowns in a procession. If you wanted one of this "fashion show girls" you bought a K5,000 lei and the waiter would put it on her. She would afterwards come visit you, and if you liked each other, agree a price. He said that fashion show girls would be K90,000-150,000. Also, now surrounding us, were "freelancers". These were better value he said, about K70,000-90,000. The girls were smiling, waving, saying Hello, and holding their mobile phones up to illuminate their faces in the dark. If you are interested, you ask them to sit. If not, they leave quietly in a few minutes. There is no cost to have them sit, I imagine unless you buy they a drink. But none seemed interested in a drink, not dance, and not in small talk. In fact, few spoke English well, tough I did not have trouble communicating.
Once they sat, all got right to business. The first was very cute, medium hair, killer smile, short skirt with long legs. She wanted K70,000 ($52) and would stay all night. If OK, she would go change into street clothes. I said no as I wanted to explore more.
Next I wondered around a bit. I saw lots of choice and I got lots of attention. It is easy to meet them.
When I returned to my seat my friend came back. He asked why I was still alone. As we chatted three more girls came. A tall, very pretty, slightly rubenesque girl, who I shook my head no to, a small girl with red hair I did not fancy, and very pretty girl, about 5'2", who looked a bit older, maybe late 20's. My waiter friend said she was their mamasan, and if it were him, he would take her instead. I asked if she spoke English, and he said no. I smiled at her but she motioned to her girls. After a few minutes of sign language she sat down and said K90,000 for short time only – turns out she spoke English when she wanted to. I was starting to regret letting the first girl go. She was sexy, and wanted all night, but I did not see her any more.
Left alone again, I stood to take in the next "fashion show". I had the distinct impression that one of the girls – super cute – was smiling back at me, even though I had not bought her a lei. When their show ended two came right over to me and made their offer. One caught my eye. She said "I go with you K90,000". When I just smiled back, she said "K80,000" ($59) and gave me a cuddle. It was getting late, I did not see the first girl anymore, and so – without checking the details or chatting to see if she would be still interesting to me after 5 minutes – I said yes. Whereupon she left to change to street clothes. I do know better.
When she returned, she kissed my cheek and said "let's go". So we were off. No chat, no drinks, no dancing. Straight to work. On the way out I looked for my friend, hoping to give him a tip but I did not see him. Another waiter however, handed me two condoms and put his hand out. I gave him K1,000 ($0.74), which is a third of what the condoms cost in the convenience store. He seemed quite happy. Once we got outside she wanted to take a taxi. I explained that my hotel was two blocks away. She, and the drivers standing nearby, said "no, police" – my entire week in Yangon I have seen exactly three policemen, and that included one sitting in a corner police station – but OK. How much? K3,000 ($2.22). OK, not much, but this was the first time I felt shaken down. But hey, 2 bucks. Still, there are no police, and would have been nice to walk with her a bit.
Arriving at my hotel, she handed her ID to the guard. When we got to my room she took over. No longer sweet, she was bossy. She said "pay me now". Recognizing that this was a bad sign I put up a bit of resistance. She insisted, and in for a penny in for a pound. I remembered we had not discussed short / long time – I knew we should have sat together for a while before agreeing. So I paid her, then put my wallet in the safe. She then told me to shower, alone. Cutting to the chase she was a starfish with attitude. She was beautiful, but no kissing, no BJ, don't lick her. Don't touch her there too much. I played with her pussy till she finally started moaning and spread her legs, and seemed to cum. Then mish was all she would do. I went to one of the hotels where they offered spa. The trick with Burma is the spa must give oily spa, else extras is not there. Most of the legit places will not offer oily spa. So key is took for oil spa. And when you go there book the oil spa. So I did exactly that. Came in this lady, was decent looking, was very chatty and by her talks I could tell extras is on the menu. She gave me a amazing massage with great butt massage and slight butt fingering, this was even before discussing extras. She turned me over and saw my hard on she laughed and played with it, asked mr=e if I want extra, I was like heck ya, but only HJ was on the menu. I just got back from a five-day upcountry trip in Thailand including Mae Sot (a border town on the Thai / Burma border). I drove up from Bangkok and from Mae Sot it's only a 10 minute drive to the border post on the river, and then over the road bridge into Myawaddy in Burma.
When I arrived at the border post on the Thai side there was a horrendous line of cars and trucks queuing up to clear the Thai customs / immigration, they were lined up in the centre of the road but had left space on the left for non bridge-crossing traffic so I kept going, right up to where I could see the immigration check-point on the bridge. It's a busy road and there are many shops with free road-side parking available and I was able to find a parking space very close to the immigration check-point. I parked up and walked back to the immigration check-point and went to the end of the small queue and waited for about 5/10 minutes until it was time to hand in my passport. 2 minutes later I was off. There are two options if you arrive on foot and want to cross the bridge, you can either walk over the bridge or take a minibus taxi service for THB20. I chose the taxi service.
I planned to make use of the opportunity to try and sample the local talent in Myawaddy. When I arrived on the Burmese side and cleared immigration I found a taxi-guide (I had expected to be approached by local taxi-touts when I arrived, but was not, so I approached a few people and told them I wanted a taxi). I had been warned that it might be difficult to find an English-speaking guide, and it was, I have a basic command of Thai and in the end I found someone who could speak Thai and I engaged his services. I made sure that I caught sight of his vehicle BEFORE we agreed a price, I told him I wanted a local tour, 4 hours, to finish back at the Burmese immigration check-point. I did not bother to change money and only had Thai Baht with me which was not a problem. He asked for THB1,000, I offered THB400, we settled on THB600. I made it clear to him that I would only pay when he dropped me off back at the start point and he agreed.
It was only after we set off that I mentioned that I wanted a lady and asked him if he could help, he said no because it was too early (it was about 4 pm), he said the local places don't open till 8 pm. I told him I was only there for a half-day visit and expressed my desire to sample some of the local talent so he said he would try and he made a few phone calls. We ended up in a local brothel (a ramshackle mostly wooden two-storey house, fronting the road ie it was not hidden from the road) which had about 8 girls available, all late teens / early twenties, with two or three of them that I would consider do-able. I was in no rush so asked the driver to take me to another place for a look and he willingly obliged. I was not impressed with the choice available at the second place so asked if he could take me to another place. It was a 3 storey shophouse and had about 15 girls available, all in their late teens / early twenties. There were three that took my fancy, one of them was endowed with larger than average breasts, late teens, so I went over to her and said Hello, and took her arm and playfully rubbed it, then I pulled her over to a corner of the room behind a screen so as the other girls could not see, took out a THB100 note so she could see it and then stuck my hand down her bra and had a good feel of both breasts, she made no attempt to stop me. The girl took me upstairs to the room, it was very small with just a mattress on the floor, there was no A / C but there was a fan but it wasn't working and neither was the light in the room! It turned out there was a power-cut. I asked if I could take the girl out to a short-time motel but was told the power-cut had affected all of Myawaddy so decided to go ahead in the room. It was about 38 see and stiflingly hot with no fan, and I started to sweat just from the effort of taking off my clothes! It was a pretty good session with the girl but by the time I was finished I was covered in sweat and it was rolling off of me! And to make it worse there was no shower in the room, just a couple of toilet rolls to clean yourself up with. There was a small ramshackle toilet / shower downstairs in the yard out at the back of the house but to use it you would need to get dressed first before you went downstairs, but I didn't bother. I attempted to pay the girl but she said no, pay downstairs. My guess is she probably got THB100 out of the THB300, she did not ask for any tip but I gave her THB100 and she seemed genuinely pleased. So I went downstairs and paid the THB300, there was no attempt to hustle me out of any more money. I said to the driver it's time to head back to the to bridge, when we got back I paid up (THB600) and he made no attempt to hustle me out of any more money and I gave him a THB100 tip.
After exiting Burma I arrived back in Thailand, I was only in Myawaddy for one afternoon but if I had had more time I would have sampled more of the talent. I went to the trouble of getting an on-line visa for Burma before I arrived at a cost USD $50 (valid for a 28 day stay) but was told at the immigration booth when I arrived on the Burmese side of the bridge that if I was going back to Thailand the same day they could have issued me with a day-pass for just THB500!
So I had the opportunity to stay in Yangon for 3 days & I tried 2 of the places.
1. Emperor.
I went to emperor at 9 PM. Apparently the entry fees is 10 K now with 1 drink. As soon as I went in I was seated on a couch. The place at least had 100 girls. They were all lining up in several batches at several places. At first I thought they were lining up for fashion show, but later on I saw a group of 5 being released from queue who approached a group of guys & started convincing them to pick them. And then came the next five. And so on. I wondered what would one have to do to get such special service. Maybe it was only for a group of people. Not single guests.
A couple of okay looking girls approached me but I declined politely, because I wanted to check out all other options. I roamed around, but could see only few faces properly. As I came back to my couch, 1 of the waiters (24) brought a girl (xyz khan) to me and told me she's new arrival & she'll do anything I say. I was reluctant as I wanted to see all options once fashion show started. But since he insisted, I let her sit next to me. She was cute & shy, couldn't speak English, but I wanted to know all my options. After a while the waiter again asks for my decision. I told him I'll check for others. For some reason it seemed like he was sparing the good ones for VIPs and letting me take off with ordinary options. Although, I did take another round across room and realized most good options were already taken. I also started thinking, after the last experience of rude girls in Thailand, maybe a new shy one might be different & better. So I asked 24 to get me her again, and fortunately she hadn't found anyone else. He told me he had given me the best one. Which pretty much turned out true even though he must be saying that about every bird.
I asked him, when he says she will do everything I say, does it include anal? He seemed hesitant, and said he'll ask her. After sometime he came & told me she agrees. Price was 1. 15 for night which was more than anticipated, but I agreed anyway. I was supposed to pay whole amount to the bird when she leaves hotel. The waiter asked for a tip, and seemed happy with 5 K tip.
We left for my hotel (Yuzana Garden). In taxi I started feeling her up, but not in a dirty way. I just held her hands and kepr running my hand on her thighs. On this day I didn't really like anyone from the available lot. So I went to emperor again. Here's a tip. At both these places, If you don't pick a bird before 9 PM, all good ones will start getting picked and disappearing.
Even at emperor all good ones were mostly gone, but just before I was about to leave, one bird passed by. She wasn't the 10 I was expecting, but given the circumstances, she was quite good. I'd rate 8. Fair little bird who spoke good enough English. I quickly picked her, gave the tip and left for my new hotel (Sidney).
Since almost all experiences with Yangon birds were similar and amazing, I'll summarize the common FR in the end of post. We had amazing time again. Even had some nice conversation about life etc. When I told her I like being kissed near ears, she went all crazy kissing me there and gave me hell of a time. Satisfactory end to day 2.
At Apple, after long time of looking for good ones, I picked one from fashion show, who got picked by another guy and she chose him. I got the advance back. Another fun thing. I wanted to have bathtub for all my deeds, so every time I booked a new hotel with bathtub in preference. 2 out of 3 times, the standard rooms which expedia showed having bathtub, didn't have it. So when I argued about it and showed them screenshot of expedia showing bathtub included in standard room, they gave me an upgrade to superior room which had bathtub. So do use expedia.
Yuzana garden hotel. Close from emperor. Girl friendly. Good property maintained badly. Low lighting. Still livable. Friendly staff. One of their staff walked with me at midnight to help me find food, and chatted with me about mongering. Told me a couple of good clubs to pick birds from, but I didn't really have time to check out new places.
Sidney hotel. Far from emperor. But amazing rooms. Girl friendly.
Azumaya hotel. Girl friendly. Good from inside, but placed in the center of a very crowded market.

John.Scan through Yangon thread for locations, setups, procedures, and precautions. Plenty of reports are there.
For other cities, try social media apps and do ye ole courting, dating, and promise of a better life for her and extended family. Otherwise, bring along someone from Yangon. Or, go alone to save money and explore at your own leisurely pace.
FYI, Bagan is really for tourism and religious experience, so don't expect any mongering activity there.
For those members who have gone to brothels / shophouses. Do they tend to look a certain way? Girls sitting outside, certain colored lights at inappropriate times of the day, etc?
As in, if you didn't have a driver bring you to the brothel, would you have been able to distinguish them by yourself just by how they look? Or are they completely nondescript?
In Vietnam, for example, there will be ladies sitting outside. Everything else will look normal, but you know what business they're in.
