An answer for the replies:

I visited Thailand over 20 years, some 30 times. The last 10 to 15 years, Pattaya knew an increase of crime. But felt always safe, if you be a little carefully. For Thailand I can assure, every time I visit this country, I know almost for sure I won’t get killed, and come back home safe.

I am sorry I can not feel the same way about Cambodia. Last year, I visited Phnom Penh, and must admit it felt safe. (I was careful, no stupid behaviour).

This year, I visited Phnom Penh again and Sihanoukville and it changed my mind. I would choose I was robbed, instead of what I’ve seen. (question – did this happened to you)

On a ugly morning, I saw a victim who was robbed. Blood all over, looked his head was smashed. Still alive, but urgent medical help was needed. Lots of Khmer, but nobody seems to take action to help the man. I was the only barrang around, and explained the man needed a doctor or taken to a hospital. They seem to understand me, but nothing happened. Later on, policemen (I guess it was policemen) came so I though I’d better walked away, could not help because I did not witness the crime. More than 20 minutes later, on my return, I passed back the place. Still Khmers around, the victim still there. I kept on walking, for the same reason I left; did not wanted to be involved.

Now, I am deeply ashamed, maybe for me a man died because I walked away. Did they understand he needed urgently medical help? Or don’t I understand why nothing happened? One thing for sure: he needed help and the only barrang who passed by, walked away.

Now you know. Understand why I did not wrote this in my first report. I’m not proud about this. I know I did not kill him, but it feels the same way.

If this happens in Thailand, They do something, for human respect, and if not, they do it for not scaring tourists away.

Later, I talked about this with other barrangs, wanted to know if the man survived, if they heard something. That’s when I heard to many stories about crime in Cambodia. Some saw things for real, others heard some stories.

That’s way I made this topic. On forums I saw so many good stories, inviting you to visit Cambodia.

Sometimes a topic quotes about to be careful, but others give as answer that it is not that bad. Sure it is, that’s why I wrote in this forum to be sure every one can read and hope to understand the danger in Cambodia. As many of you, I also felt safe one year ago when I first visited Phnom Penh.

If you agree or not, I want you all to know.

Also, it won't matter much if you kept the room keys with you or not as the GH or hotels ALWAYS have duplicate keys, how else will maid get in to clean your rooms? (and also in case you lose your keys?.). if hotel wanted to rip you off, don't need your set of keys to do it?

PTThat's not the way it happens. The danger of your room getting turned upside down comes not from the hotel staff.

Some simply check from outside, looking at the key panel to see who's inside and who's not. they break into your room from a backside, stairway, or whatever. That is why SOME hotels keep the keys under the desk, but also some of them put the key later on back on the panel.

One other story I heard was one not trustful motorbike driver who hangs out all day in front of an hotel, knew precisely which room was taken or free, and which was occupied at the moment. Changed hotel places every day to hang out.

Hello,

One time arriving home late in the flamingo hotel in PP i could have taken easily my key from the '' keyboard'' because all the staff were sleeping. I did decide to wake up the person sleeping at the reception and just ask for my key. It is true not all the keys could be taken but most of them could without even passing to the other side of the counter. Next time i should get a videocam and record these sleeping staff . Greetings, Frits

If you want to visit Cambodia for the fun and the ladies, don’t go. Stay or go to Thailand. More choice and better, more beautiful ladies. And stay alive! There is crime & murders everywhere, but i'd have to agree that Thailand is probably a safer choice, at least in BKK.

BTW back in 2007 a poster told his story about how he was imprisoned for taking photos and or videos of a girl. They took him for a ton of cash and he felt lucky to get out alive. His ISG handle is Dirty Benny.

I am not sure about Thailand being the safer option.

On the subject of making porn vids and photos in Cambodia, yes, Cambodia has one of those strange laws against debauchery, which includes making porn films and having sex with more than one other person at the same time. I would stick to taking only one of whatever takes your fancy back to my hotel and no filming!

Best to see such laws like the Lese Majeste laws in Thailand. Such laws may not make sense to us foreigners but best to completely avoid any infringement.

There have been a few claims on the board and elsewhere about Cambodia being dangerous and certainly more dangerous than Thailand - the idea is that if the cops don't get you, the regular criminals will. Yes, the cops are corrupt and, as in many countries in SEA Asia, once you are in their hands, things are going to be deeply unpleasant and don't expect any fair play.

On the criminal side, over the years there have been many instances in Phnom Penh of muggings with guns but that seems very seldom now. There is still occasional gun-play but only between rival Khymer gangs. As a foreigner, you would be very unlucky to experience any violence in Cambodia, even in Phnom Penh.

As regards the police in either country, it goes without saying that you should just keep away from them as much as possible. At all times you should be polite to them - I know of instances where a foreigner was shot in broad daylight by a Thai police officer on duty (but survived) because he insisted on insulting the policeman.

Generally you should be polite to everyone and avoid making them lose face - IMHO, drunk Thai men are highly suseptible to losing face and therefore can be rather dangerous.

By my reckoning, whenever a foreigner is killed in Cambodia, there is always a big fuss because the authorities are afraid of a sudden decline in tourism as a result. In Thailand, foreigners are killed every year and this does not seem to affect tourism. But because Cambodia has the murderous past (Pol Pot etc), murders of foreigners has a bigger effect on the image of the country.

It is impossible to know how many deaths of foreigners in either country have really been disguised murders. My own experience tells me that there is a lot more talk in Thailand among Thais and foreigners about such issues (who is on a hit list, which recent death was a disgused killing etc) than in Cambodia. Of course, this could be that the Cambodians just don't talk about it (which I would find rather strange as they talk about everything else) and/or the foreigners in Cambodia are kept in the dark about such matters.

What this boils down to is if you are polite, avoid breaking local laws and steer clear of crazy barang (they can bring you real trouble!), you are likely to have less trouble than you would have in any large Western city and you get to have sex with exotic women and you can do it for a fraction of what it cost in your home country.

I was thinking of bringing some outfits this trip. Should I pass on that?I think you can take as many pictures of women with their clothes on as long as there is no depiction of sex; ie no pics of a girl fully clothed giving someone a bj or shagging while almost fully clothed. Otherwise you run the risk of being charged with debauchery or making pornography. Why run the risk?

Pasteur Laboratory next to Calmette Hospital. Avoid this place.

All are expensive tests.

They offer Herpes test (although in the west doctors don't usually bother testing. They only use visual diagnosis. So it is a waste of money)

Likewise any western doctor will charge you a fortune for a consulatation and will probably then send off samples to the public Cambodian labs.

I prefer public/charity based clinics rather than private ones (both here and in Thailand).

Sinoukville Public hospital Free HIV test (western run so I've heard or at least to standards) 1. Check for Hep A and B immunity. You should of had these in home country if you are engaged in sexual contact. Hep A, B can seriously affect quality of life, whereas VDs are just a nuisance. 2. Syphilis test I think 1 and 2 was about 5 bucks

PP Municipal Referal Hospital (and the clinic around the corner on main road does free HIV) Hep A/B Hep C. Rare to catch through sex. 15, 000 riel bargain The clinic is found by going along kamuchea krom about 1 km, and turn left where there is a grassed area. I think it is st. 169.

HIV tests here are rapid 30 min tests. But they normally ask you to come back next day.

General dermatology/STD clinic.

From psar thmei go along kampuche krom about 2 km until you see red petrol station on the left. Turn left and clinic is seen on left about 1 km down the road with metal railings border. I think the road is nohru 215.

Cost for consultation for barang is 2. 5 dollar.

Open 10-12, 2-4. OK english is spoken here.

DO NOT buy their medicine prescribed because its sometimes half the price in a pharmacy. Although the pharmacies are reported to sometimes stock fake drugs

Don't trust Cambodian clinics?

Bangkok/ChiangMai has thai red Cross clinic, don't think theres one in Pattaya. HIV 200 bht, VDRL/syphilis 80 bht half hour wait and they will tell you where to go if you want to see if youve contracted HIV within last 3 weeks. This is the HIV PCR dna test and costs 1500 bht.

Normal HIV tests only can see if you have had HIV for 3 months (although most cases show up within 1-2 months).

How common is HIV?

If you go into Snooky hospital there records show about a 25 percent positive rate on testing people. This seems very high. But remember that most people go to the clinic when they are I'll/or have inital symptoms. Flu/diahorrea/etc so this isn't really a true figure.

At the other clinic mentioned, I flicked through some results books and found less than 5 % positive.

After having herpes and hpv (wart) scares/false diagnoses as well as rashes and leaky cock syndrome I am now considering abstinence! There are plenty of nasties you can get even with a condom. I think I am pretty lucky not to be HIV pos. Considering the amount of you/p sex I've had and small cuts and abrasions I routinely get during sex.

Checking out the girl beforehand (if she agrees to lights on and an intrusive check up by yourself) are not always full proof. Many problems contagious even if they can't be seen at the time.

I am unsure about the experience of clinic '"doctors" in SE Asia though. They like to get out the folders with pictures of worst case STDs and say. Well yours doesn't look like that so you are OK! When you look up STDs on internet it says symptoms are often mild and cases can look different. So maybe I do have some issues after all.

I don't mean to scare monger. Theres plenty of that on Thai forums with people claiming 20 percent plus hiv infection rates in Pattaya- thats BS.

Hi,

I am planning a trip to Cambodia and did some research for the age of consent. Its turnes out to be 15.(according to UN and Cambodia officials)

Now, to be on the safe side should we take it to be 18 or just interpret the law as he is?

Any practical knowledge we be welcome.

===============================================

Greetings John Palmer,

The age of consent is irrelevant to your situation.

What you need to know is what is the [u]Age of Majority[/y], which among other things is the age in which they can vote, get married, enlist in the military, and participate in commercial sex activities.

Please exercise caution.

Thanks,

15 is if the parents agree to marriage only. 18 is the true age of consent in Cambodia.

For the topic of age of consent, be careful. Over the last few months there has been reports of several people busted for 15 and 16 here. While the age of consent is 15, there is a really draconian indecency law that applies to anyone 16 or under in which money is exchanged for any type of sex act.

As for the question, I hear a lot about the famous ROCK Entertainment center, a. K. A. The ROCK, but don't know much about services and prices. Anyone been pricey enough to visit the place.

Thanks ahead.

Good post simian, you are spot on.

People must remember that cambodia is a deeply conservative society.

However a visit to the rock may dispel that notion.

Great venue with shockingly loud music in the disco but also many massage and karaoke girls.

But if one cant speak khmer it will be expensive I think.

Well worth a look though!

i just spent 10 out of the last 12 months in phnom penh and loved it. i driving my thai registered car in and out many times using 4 diferent border crossings and never had any hassle.

i lived across the japanese bridge but usually took the 500 reil ferry in to pp which dropped me off at the end of street 136 whihc ios the perfect place to get started, as i am a photograper i wlked aorund everywhere at all time sof the day and up until about 9 opm and never had any trouble.

its a safe as u make it alhtough have heard stories and as anywhere if ur in the worng place at the wrong time or targetted by moto driver or set up by one am sure it could get bad. since i never used motos but only tuk tuk unless i was in my own car.

u can see some pics here, http://phuket.zenfolio.com

its a great country but as for value for money thailand wins hands down unless ur into drinking $1 beers and smoking cigs.

Hi guys,

Would it be possible to break $100 USD bills into smaller demoninations at the hotels/changers etc.? Possible in PP as well as SR? Unfortunately, I do not use ATM and always bring cash with me (unfortunately no 1s, 5s,10s,20s or 50s) during my travels.

Yes you can change USD in most hotel only if you are staying there, some large hotel will even change Amex express tc, but it is a good idea to bring many one and five dollar us bill and some small Thai bht.

Thai baht is no good in PP and must be changed to $ or Riels and you get bad rate.

Just buy something for a few $$ an dthey will give ya $$ and Riels in change. ATMS give ya $50

Hello fellows, I plan on being in PP at the end of this month hopefully in time for the water festival. This will be my first trip to anywhere in South East Asia. BTW, I will be traveling with 2 good friends of mine from So Cal and they both speak fluent Cambodian, Viet and English (both of them born in Cambo/Viet but raised in New York).

Would appreciate some help with a few things:

1. Can you get Viagra in Cambo? Any idea what it cost for a 50mg tablet?

2. Can you purchase good Trojan condoms there or should I bring my own?

3. As both of my friend have family in a village way outside of PP, what kind of small gift/gesture to bring to my friends family?

4. I have read reports on these forums about certain bars closing down, how is the situation now? Any better or worse?

5. Are things any better or worse for P4P during the water festival celebration?

Thanks in advance,

1. I'd recommend you buy Kamagra, which is the same thing as Viagra. You can get four 100mg tablets for $1.80.
2. I haven't seen Trojan condoms, but Okamoto makes a good condom with many varieties.
3. As a gesture, Cambodians usually bring fruit such as durien, when visiting. Don't be put off by the smell.
4. They've been putting restrictions on bars such as not letting the girls dress too sexy and halting the practice of bar fines, but you should be able to find a lot of action.
5. The Water Festival shouldn't make it any better or worse than other times. It's the religious holidays that make for slims pickings. I do recommend that you stay on the west side of Norodom. Traffic is blocked or restricted anywhere near the river during the whole festival.

Phuketrick

1. Buy your viagra in Thailand on the streets anywhere along Sukumvit. Why buy it, if the brain doesn't want it why give something to make the cock want it?

2. Bring your own condoms

3. A gift from your OWN country will be more appreciated than something they can buy on there own. Ask your friends.

Why buy Durian when they can get it there?

4. Many bars are shutting down and the actions is tighten up PLUS the girls seem to want more $$ now than before (I was there last week) check out some of the bars on 104 and 136 and of course Sharkies and WA. Still $20-25 will get you all night if you bargin.

5. WORSE many people leave during that week cauee of the traffic and the girls just want go have fun without some Barang around them. I was there last year (you can see the pics under my sig file) and loved it. Of course I lived onthe other side of the river where more Cambodians were then Barangs.

Its a great time but don't carry to much cash and watch your pockets, cameras, gold etc lots of pick pockets around and the corwds are. Well, you will see.

They really only block off 2 streets back from riverside and you won't be driving anyway. I LOVED that festival while most Barangs hate it and leave for kep or Snooky

Good gracious, it was 33C yesterday. I was riding around with Saran to the shooting range and then I wanted to get a hair cut, so Saran dropped me off at the Central Market - it is actually not inside the market but in the buildings around it. Anyways, there were many to choose from and I picked the one with other customers inside - Taipei Hair Cut. The haircut itself was lousy - I told the owner to buzz me with #2 clip on top, but he used #1 instead. It's okay, so hot here, less hair is not a bad idea.
Then came the typical shampoo, but the after cut cleaning service was extraordinary and consisted of these activities:
1. Using a blade to shave - which I turned down b/c I wanted to keep my whiskers.
2. Trimming of mustashe and facial hair
3. Trimming of nose hair
4. Trimming of hair in ears
5. Cleaning of ear wax - wow, it felt strange having some stranger sticking a bamboo q-tip in your ears, but I felt oh-so clean afterwards. This is a must-try service!

Total damage was $6. She also tried to give me a massage too, but I wanted to stick with cleaning - wink wink.

Tired of all those hawkers, hasslers, streetsellers, cyclodrivers, ladyboys and brats - the ones who don't understand that if you wanted whatever it is they are offering you / asking you for that you have two eyes and a tongue to ask for it . . . ?

I tried this one last night in Siem Reap and it worked a treat. Much easier than stony silence or long explanations.

Rotate one or both hands held up in front of the body (similar to the Queen of England’s wave but faster) and it means 'no', 'I don’t want it', etc.

It's a Khmer gesture they seem to understand even from across the street (as they start to cross to block your way and politely enquire if you want something you obviously don't lol ;))

Saves everyone time and hassle . . .

I think most of the main books have been mentioned, but here's another couple I've brought on this trip with me - if you like reading relevant to the culture -

Notes From My Travels - this is Angelina Jolie's diary of her NGO tome in Cambodia and I think I'm finding it better than I expected it to be. Especially relevant if you are travelling rough north of Siem Reap.

Rediscovering the Khmer - this one by Antonio Graceffo sometimes tries a bit to hard to be entertaining but is still a pretty good back to basics encounter off the main routes.

Neither have anything to do with mongering ( but the one that does, Off the Rails in Phnom Penh, is hopelessly out of date now and in dubious taste anyway).

I've not seen these two in the usual sealed colour bootleg versions you get of books here, but both ate available as electronic downloads, which can be handy for travelling light.

Saves everyone time and hassle . . .
This gesture works pretty much everywhere in SE ASia, including Vietnam where I learned it. THe gesture is a bit like turning a large volume knob on a stereo back and forth. You can do it generally, as described above by Christopherd or you can direct it at someone in particular.

Have to be careful, if they think you're miming a volume knob, rather than leave they might say "MISTER YOU WANNA BUY A BOOK?" ;)

Seriously, most effective is to not look in their direction but to do it while making it clear you are avoiding looking directly at them. Any eye contact reduces your chances of getting them to scram. It comes across as a mixed message (your hand says Go, your eyes say Stay) What I've also seen, which is REALLY annoying, is how some locals will initially do the sign for them to leave, and then the seller will persist and keep at it, and then after a few times of the local giving the sign for them to leave (which I guess is something to do with a face issue -- they don't want to come across as too 'easy') they switch and start acting interested suddenly. I have a feeling that's how they get trained to be so annoying.

I haven't tried it elsewhere yet, but it works a treat here, especially as the other poster pointed out, you obviously don't make eye contact while doing it.

What I particular like is that it is not only more effective than a verbal refusal or stony slience, but it is a lot more polite. It has a number of other uses including, "We're closed," and "Don't walk there you might step on a landmine." ;)

In such scenarios in SE Asia, stony silence or sullen looks is taken to be a customer who has not been won over yet. Verbal abuse is taken to be the customer is getting ahead of the curve in the bargaining process. As Christopherd says, never look at them in the eyes. Even the most hateful look will be taken to be contact, which is the first step to making a sale. It sometimes seems to me that these hawkers, beggers and those in between (selling something but really begging) have somehow learned their approach from those sales and marketing psychology books that are published mainly in the USA. You know the "change your life forever and be successful in business" tomes which describe someone yelling 'no' is a potential sales opportunity because you have managed to gain their attention!

I think off the riels is still a great yarn, sorry off the rails.

I believe that they stayed at the capitol guesthouse, still a big backpacker area on street 107 just off monivong near the orussey market-maybe PPs best market.

The buses stop at the capitol and the people who frequent the restaurant are really bizarre.

I have never seen odder people, obvious old mongers, older couples, hippies etc.

Its a real zoo.

Yeah, but the main reason Capitol is always so popular with just about everyone and every country is because all them travel books you pick up will have Capitol GH recommended (in EVERY language possible)- especially Lonely Planet.

Yes, it's worth picking up cheap for a quick read while you're here, even if you give it away again to save on luggage weight travelling home.

It's a sort of 'classic' in its own sleazy way.

Jolie, on the other hand, will make you cry, and even if she sanitises by omission some things, there are enough details that will ring true for those who have explored to know she is not writing it from her Boracay deckchair.

Graceffo, he will maybe want to make you explore a bit if you have only till now done the well-trod, well-rogered, tourist path.

I can't speak for the expats who'd stay there or hang out there, but for me when I arrived in PP for first time by bus from HCMC, back when it was a bus ride from hell (2001-- the other was the Siem Reap to Thai border stretch), you get out of that bus in the early evening, in the rain (when I arrived at least) and you're already in ground floor of the guesthouse. So... it's pouring rain and of course you get a room. "how much for the room? $3? Three? dollars? how much is that in ... oh it is in US dollars... so you're serious") Taking your luggage upstairs you can't possibly be prepared for the shock when they open the door of your prison cell. Just a flimsy aluminum bed (very squeaky) with a mattress as thick as Off The Rails in Phnom Penh, and NO furniture at all. Cold water shower with just a trickle coming out. The one window was a missing half cinder block at the top of one wall, with a little screen over it, letting you hear but not see what's going on out in the hallway. Come back downstairs to have somethign to eat and people-watch as the rain pours down outside, so there's no question of going anywhere else. Have to wait for a break in the rain, hopefully tomorrow.

Yeah but.. I think its as popular as it is mostly cuz of all the tour buses that arrive there from HCMC, Siem Reap, S'ville etc. Maybe LP has something to do with it too. But yeah, if you saw The Beach and thought Leo Di Caprio's guesthouse room was exotic and adventurous, you might wanna stay at the Capitol. Everyone else should probaby try a real guesthouse or hotel.

there was an article last month in the cambodia daily about the cambodian courts (the laws there are a joke; you can buy anything, unless the world media reports on you) setting a trial date for that 60 year old french national. the story is that the french guy picked up the 16 year old by the circle monument, and took her to a cheap lakeside guest house. then the cops busted in when he was getting felatio for $10. he admitted he picked her up, and he said he asked her age, and he said the girl said she was legal. the girl collaborated his story. but the courts set a trial date since he admitted procuring a child prostitue.

all the stories i recall about **** sex has been with girls aged 15 or less.

seems my paranoia about martini might be justified. there are girls that look 16. not as many as before though. if you go there, the cutest girl there in my opinion will be that girl that looks young. last month, i saw a girl that was extremely cute; i heard other guys call her jail bait. i asked her how old she was. she said 22; ya right. my theory is they work there until they are legal, then they go work for the high class places. why would they want to work for $25-$30 short time (the cute girls ask for more than $15), when they can get a lot more in the high class establishments. ya ya, i know you guys say asian girls look younger than they are.

the moral of the story is be careful!

my driver heard of that story. he said it occurred around december. he said the girl was well known. it seems that she is very attractive. he said the guest house paid $3k or $5k. i guess the french guy didn't want to pay (probably a lot more). but in france, is it acceptable for a guy to have an affair with a 16 year old? france might be different than the us. i would have pay any amount of money to not be labled as a child molester.

there was an item in this week's phnom penh post about an israeli man charged with having sex with 17 year old. the girl denied it, but the police said she was lying cos down the police station she had 'confessed'.

the average php non-minor, it seems, cam be identified by stretchmarks worthy of her grandmother, and a c-section scar worthy of farmer rumbold's rustly shears. there are nice exceptions - if you are sure they are of legitimate age, be nice to *everybody* then bole 'em and leave 'em ;) ;) ;)

Last time I was in Siem Reap I thanked my driver by buying him lunch. While making small talk the topic of marriage came up. He said he was saving money to marry, but that it was expensive. He said he would have to give the girl's family $1500 to $3000 depending on the girl. Maybe $1500 for someone selling fruit on the side of the road. He asked me if I thought this was expensive. I got the feeling he was looking to make introductions for me. I read that people get a finder's fee for this sort of thing...like an agent. So I was curious if that is the real price? It seems a little high for this economy. Anyone here married to a Cambodian?

Roguesta
05-02-10, 09:38
The price sounds about right. They find it incredulous when I tell them that you can get married, in the US, after buying a simple license. If someone brokers a deal for a couple to get married, he would most certainly get paid a fee. This is true for most transactions. If you ask someone if they know of an apartment, and he points at a 'For Rent' sign over your shoulder, he will approach the landlord, and ask to get paid.

Added to which, Cambodian marriage ceremonies are relatively drawn out, hence expensive, events - lasting up to three days.

I don't know how much the wedding itself might be, of course it would be relatively inexpensive compared to a western wedding.

I often wonder about if westerners pay dowry in Cambo. In Thailand 'sin sot' is high on the agenda for any Thai girl, virgin or not or divorced. Farang guys seem to approach it as if paying it is a badge of honour, odd.

I asked my Khmer girl about it once and she said "No! I marry once already", it was pretty abrupt, I wondered if she is just of the opinion that it amounts to buying a human being or something else. Somehow I got the feeling she was offended I even asked.

Most khmer's do not do this sort of this thing. They look at it like buying fish in the market. I am not fish you can not buy me.

But you want give present to my mother then you are a very good man. There are no rules and each family is different. Most are just happy that they have someone to take care of there daughter who will in turn take care of them if she can.

marriage in the US is actually fairly cheap if you skip all the normal arrangements (flowers, tux, wedding gowns, banquet halls, renting the limo, professional photos etc. etc)
All you need is the license. Church service is optional only for the religious.
Hell, a buddy of mine got married by Elvis a few years back and all cost less than $300.
Seems the asians tend to spend ALOT more for even a simple wedding. Also has to do with saving face for your family, if you don't spend enough money for the wedding, then it is perceived to be a bad omen (start) as you are not "good" enough for the other family as a good provider. Of course, this is the simple version as its more complex and differs from one asian country to another but bottom line is alot of time and money is spent and often alot of money is "borrowed" just for the wedding.

It's not like in the US, where a wedding is just a Party. I was totally shocked how many 20-30 year old women are divorced already. I personally don't know anybody in Europe that is married bellow 30.

Guys.

New to the site and wanting to know the best way to get up to PP. I am thinking of going into BKK and then straight to Pattaya, have done this before but a few years ago now.

What are the best suggestions and different ways to travel there that are a bit budget conscious.

Thanks

yah gots 2 ways to get there bubba - overland or overair. From Pattaya you can go out to Suk and Central and take the bus to TRAT (the 6AM bus is probably best but a chore getting to the bus stop - directly across Suk and about 20m to the right - look for the benches and people waiting) ANY bus to TRAT (it SAYS "TRAT" on the front of the bus) will get you there but so will RAYONG (but you will change buses there to get to Trat), then on to KohKong, overnight unless you find someone else to share a cab because the bus leaves at 9AM and then by BUS to PP (or Snooky as you see fit) the next day (it's faster to Snooky from KK because of the TRAFFIC as you get closer to PP) Figure 200B from Pats to Trat then 120B to the border, 1000B the get the visa (I recommend getting an electronic visa for $25 over the internet then just get it activated at the border to avoid the Cambodian border control mafia) then somewhere around $9 for the bus to PP (takes maybe 6 hours) Take your own beer - I swilled about a 6-pack on the trip. Other route is to go thru POIPET (that little shithole) but you wind up dealing with the taxi mafia to get out of dodge. Now to FLY, buy a ticket and then you get back to the airport for the 7am (730?) departure on Air Asia - 1 hour flight, $20 visa at the airport (bring an extra passport photo) and then into town (took a moto trailer last time with 2 other guys for $6 so $2 each - be warned, unless you know where you are going and WHERE IT IS, moto drivers are pretty much lost - last guy didn't even know exactly where walkabout was) When you leave you can fly back for about $50 plus the $25 airport departure fee or go overland with a ticket to a destination in Thailand (usually Pats or BKK) or just to the border and go from there (be warned again that it's IMMENSELY easier "ta khun pood thai dai" (if you can speak Thai) or you WILL get ripped off. There is another alternative but it's not for the novice - take a visa run minibus from Pats to to the PAILIN crossing and then onward from there (that's a sporty course unless you know some Khmer - which I don't so I've not tried it...yet) The RIDE, of course, is much more comfortable in a minibus

Have fun - it's an adventure the first few times. i prefer to fly but since I seem to wind up about 1/2 way down to ChamYeah (Cambo border crossing) anyway, I have been going overland to save the trip back up to BKK.

I have been reading about girl bars and the like being closed down and cleaned up due to the government efforts. However, some things never change, they are simply shifted. Am I correct in guessing that the p4p scene is still on supply, but it has just shifted in where it is located? I find it hard to believe that the girls who were previously working girls have now all gotten jobs in factories. There is still demand in PP for that kind of action (which is likely responsible for driving up the price), but what about supply? Where is the supply available at these days? Regular bars? Night clubs? SW's? What about freebies? Are freebies even available in PP, or is everyone so hardened that they don't give something for nothing?

Also, what about massage places? Have all of these been closed down? Where do those girls work now? Or, what about a legit massage? I loved me some massages in Thailand. Can I get a Thai quality (or better) massage and what do they cost?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions. When I get on the ground I will be happy to be doing the reporting rather than the asking.

I did this yesterday. Bought a ticket on the minibus to the tahi border from a tour agent for 800B . 7.30am pickup from my hotel.
Got to the border about 1pm I think.

Minibus drops you about 10m from the Thai exit visa, geta exit stamp.

Walk about 200m to the Cambodian side. Someone will offer to carry your bags if you want but you need to tip them.

Fill in a form for quarantine 20B.

The touts will offer to fill in your visa form but ask for a tip if you let them do this. Then fill in the visa application and go to a small office where they will ask for 1000B (about $35). This is a scam as the dollar price is $20. I just good humouredly insisted than I only had US Dollars and I was going to pay $20. After 5 mins of trying to get me to pay 1000B they then said OK $25. I still insisted it was just $20. After another 10 mins They asked for $20 + 100B tip. At first I said I didnt have a photo as I didnt really want to waste one, but they said that it was an extra $5 with no photo so i pulled out a photo and insisted on giving them $20. Eventually they reluctantly agreed. My guess is that 95% of foreigners end up paying 1000B so they are skimming off $15 for every foreigner walking through that border. nice work if you can get it. I presume a good percentage of this flow back up the corruption chain.

If you are going to do this my advice would be 1 try and go in alone, they are much more likely to let 1 guy through without being scammed than a few of you. Try to maintain a sense of humour and politeness and just say that you have read the regulations and you know the real rate blah blah blah, but figure on losing at least 15 mins arguing with them.

The last public bus to PP leaves around midday so I missed that. But I started talking to a an American woman with 2 teenage sons and after some haggling we got a taxi to PP for $60, (should be $50 in the other direction). I offered to pay $20 for the front seat and everyone was happy. Taxi dropped me at Hotel Asie in Monovong Blvd at 5.30PM.

Hotel Asie gets mixed reviews an attracts primarily Asian tourists but I like it.
Each time I come they greet me like a long lost friend - I generally come about once a year. the basic rooms go for $20 but the 4th floor suite rooms are much nicer with wall to wall mirrors which is kind of funky. The rack rate is $50, the front desk will offer you $40 if you ask and they agreed $35 after calling the manager given iI'm a repeat customer. Very large room, nice furnishings, table chairs couch, buffet breakfast, free wifi.

Called up my regular girl here and was answered by a Cambodian only speaker, the hotel guys helped out and 30 mins later got a call back from my girl who said she had given the phone to her aunt. As shes going to come round at 2pm i thought it was time to try the hotel massage. They have toned it down a bit since last time when they were offering "private massage by beautiful young girl or boy", anyhow for $6 / hour I thought worth a shot. The girl showed up 30 mins later. OK looking 23 year old. Massage was really rather so so. Not keen to take her top off. HJ or Boom boom was available, starting price $50, quickly reduced to $30 including massage fee, but my offer of $10 plus $6 massage was turned down so she ended with just $6 plus $2 tip and left sulkily.

A case of hope over experience as my experience of in house massage has rarely been great.

I might be spending 6-8 weeks in PP this June-July. I was wondering how I can track down a decent one bedroom apartment that has internet available and more importantly AC! I have been to PP in the summer and I know it gets VERY steamy! I do not want to pay an arm and a leg so budget is important. I will be doing some volunteer work at the Royal University so I would prefer something close (walking distance or so) from the university.

Tried searching "hotels" but couldn't find a list.

Most of the top rated $50 and under hotels I see listed on Trip Advisor have "we don't cater to sex tourists" on their websites.

Any recommendations for monger-friendly, midrange places would be greatly appreciated.

Ironically in Billabong's reviews there was a comment about older Aussies with Cambodian girls-and Billabong has a no sex tourist warning. I wonder if that got put up after the comment, or whether they just don't care.

Billabong is definitely not a girl friendly hotel. I would recommend the castle hotel as a good mid range price hotel it is very near the riverside and a very short walk to street 136. It is girl friendly.

I would recommend Golden House (http://www.goldenhouse.asia/). It's located on St 136 across the Candy bar near the riverside. It's a good location. Of course it's girl friendly.

The rack rate is $25 and up; it has a few room types. I was able to get the $25 room for $20. It has a good bed (very important to me) , fridge, wi-fi, decent size LCD with clean cable channels, central hot water and in-room safe. The best thing is that it's less than a year old; the place "feels" nice and fresh. Of course this will only last for another year or so before it gets thrashed.

The problems are that the room is very small; not sure how larger the more expensive rooms are. It has an Asian style bathroom. It has a very small window that faces the back. Actually I prefer not to have a window. Sometimes the people on the street (I think it was the food sellers) yell in the morning.

Another poster recommend the Castle Hotel (http://www.hotelcastle.com.kh/). I checked out that hotel a few years ago when it was new. It was nice. But at $65 for the cheapest room, it wasn't worth it IMO. Not sure if you can get a discount.

please excuse the interruption. i do not regularly visit the cambodia forum but wanted to share this recent article with my isg friends.

also, please note that while i do not condone sex with children, neither do i condone the 'long arm' of us authorities. many might want to overlook the actions of us authorities because they feel that child sexual exploitation is so pernicious, but i feel that this is just the 'camel's nose under the tent' and soon those same us authorities will try to prosecute individuals for less pernicious activities.

ok, with that background, here's the article.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12298870

29 january 2011.

the us agents tracking down sex tourists in cambodia.

by david henshaw.

producer, the paedophile hunters.

as part of an initiative to protect children from sexual predators, including those who travel overseas, special us agents operating in south east asia have brought more than 80 alleged child sex tourists back to america to face justice.

sihanoukville looks like paradise, or at least a decent, low-rent version. golden beaches, swaying palm trees, cheap alcohol and shimmering sea.

retired american pharmacist ronald adams had come here for the good life. setting up a beachside cafe. but one morning last february adams' personal vision of paradise was shattered, when officers from the cambodian national police raided his apartment.

they found a collection of sex aids, child pornography on dvds and a variety of illegal drugs. adams was accused of drugging and [CodeWord125] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord125) a 12-year-old girl.

under the radar.

for westerners arrested on child sex charges in south east asia, things do not always turn out too badly. gary glitter got a two-and-a-half-year sentence in vietnam for obscene acts with girls aged 10 and 12.

these are poor countries, where $100 can buy your freedom. but ronald adams had more to reckon with than the local police. an agent from america's immigration and customs enforcement agency (ice) was part of the group carrying out the raid.

if a us citizen is caught abusing children abroad, american agents are now on hand with the specific aim of getting the suspect on a plane to stand trial back in the us.

ice is part of the department of homeland security, based in washington, with a severe, brooks brothers-suited lawyer, john morton, as its director.

"don't think that simply by buying a plane ticket to leave the united states and going to a country with less robust investigative and prosecutorial capacities that you are going to be able to get away with it again," morton said.

"perfect example. the three gentlemen we brought back from cambodia."

the "three gentlemen" were given the moniker twisted travellers by ice in a heavily publicised and deliberately humiliating extradition from cambodia 18 months ago.

all three had previous convictions for abusing small children in the us. the oldest. 75-year-old former marine jack sporich, now faces a sentence of 15 years for sexually abusing a number of young boys.

cambodia's jails are full of foreign paedophiles, but for most of them a short sentence is all they have to worry about. but even that can be avoided if you have the money to pay off the police and the judge.

america was the first country to be positively pro-active about arresting and returning their child abusers to face justice. it has been joined in the past 12 months by australia and canada.

for us special agent chris materelli, it is as much about moral responsibility as law enforcement.

"if americans are coming here to do this against the cambodians, it's our job to try to help the cambodians clean it up," he says."they're our citizens, it's our responsibility to bring that person to justice."

in the seven years since the protect act was passed, america has brought back 85 child sex tourists to face justice in the us.

but none of this would work without a ground-breaking change in the way us agents work. not just with local police, but ngos run by ordinary citizens.

in the tourist hot-spots of cambodia, action pour les enfants (action for children, aple) acts as the eyes and the ears of ice in keeping surveillance on suspect americans.

young men on motorbikes patrol the streets with video cameras supplied by the americans. it was an aple undercover team that came across ronald adams openly asking for sex with **** girls,"the younger the better".

this kind of co-operation with ordinary locals represents a massive change of attitude, almost unthinkable 30 years ago in the wake of america's bombing of cambodia.

cambodians are welcome within the ranks of ice agents. vansak suos, once a conscripted boy soldier in pol pot's khmer rouge army, now occupies an office in the us embassy in phnom penh, with a photo of himself and bill clinton on his desk.

vansak's story is bleak, his brother, two sisters, and grandfather were all killed in the time of pol pot. he, himself, barely survived, but having done so was determined to use his life to protect other children.

big catch.

forty-five-year-old millionaire from florida, kent frank, is probably ice's biggest catch so far. he is a serial global child sex tourist, who was caught abusing four **** girls in his hotel room in phnom penh.

vansak describes how frank tried to bribe the local police chief.

"kent frank just stood up and put his hand in his pocket. then, shaking the hand with the boss. and the boss just found $100 in his hand," he says.

frank admitted to having sex and taking photos of the girls he had been with, saying that he believed they were all over 18.

"that's a common defence, that these kids are older than what they appear to be because they're asian," says ice agent gary philips."and if i had a nickel for every time i've heard that, i'd probably be a millionaire."

frank tried to delete the incriminating photos on his digital camera, but at ice's state-of-the-art cyber forensics lab back in the us. 1,600 deleted pictures were recovered. frank is currently serving a 40-year sentence in a federal jail.

but it doesn't always end that way. after seven months on remand in a cambodian prison, ronald adams was released without charge. the court decided that because his alleged victim says she was drugged, her evidence could not be relied on. he has since disappeared.

vansak shrugs and moves on. he is, he says, proud of what he has done. every sex offender convicted means that many more children are now safe.

Hello, everyone.

Borat's in town! I'm thinking to side step from BKK to Cambodia for the first time, partly figured it will save me alot on living costs over Thailand. Would love any thoughts on the comparison.

I like to stay in one location as a base for at least a month or two. The main thing for me is actually a good reliable and fast internet connection due to my work, so would love recommendations that have the residential balance. Preferably, there's something that also has a gym / pool on site as I'm trying to get in better shape.

Also for those that have recently been there, where is your favorite location? Seems like alot of people found SR to be more fun than PP. I also like heard the high HIV rates in Cambodia (like 20% infections in P2P) is a concern, so may not partake in P2P much. Would therefore be interested in anywhere with hot tourist chicks and work the freebie. Also from my research it seems like it's legal to smoke in this part of the world? Is it true? .

Sorry for the newb questions, I'm pretty new to this part of the world.

Sorry for the newb questions, I'm pretty new to this part of the world. Thailand is more expensive than Cambodia for hotels and girls.

Thailand has better infrastructure; A / C bars and paved roads.

Girls will be more expensive in SR than PP. PP will have more girls and options.

Wear a condom if you are scared about HIV.

SR will have a lot of tourist chicks. A lot will hang out on Pub street. Haven't been there for several years. Don't know which one is the happening bar. Usually (in places like Vang Vieng and Snooky) , there is white staff working that promote the bar with cheap drinks; this attracts the drunk white girls at night time.

In Sihanoukville, the place to pick up white chicks will be in Utopia. Utopia has a mixture of backpackers and freelancers.

The policy of the government is to prosecute only the seller and not the user of weed. If you are paranoid, only have a joint or 2 on you and not a bag of weed. Then some overzealous cop won't try to get a bribe from you.

It is "virtually legal", but I still would be discrete. You can smoke in many places out in the open. But some Cambodians get parnoid and don't like it.

The quality of weed is horrible. You can tell the difference by the feel of the weed. The one that is sticky will usually be the best of the worst. Since the Lakeside scene is going to disappear in PP (there was a lady at a convenience store that had a huge stash) , moto-dope drivers or happy pizza waitors can get you some. All of them will try to rip you off; you have to say no and keep on asking for better. Eventually you might find someone that will get you the best available stuff. Then they will try to overcharge you for a small bag. You can also get joints from some happy pizza places and some of the bars.

The best consistent weed (which still will be lousy compared to the Amsterdam quality) will be in Sihanoukville. Google "sihanoukville happy hippi".

Today, Vietnam devalued the dong 9% again.

You can swap US dollar s for VN dong in Cambo. Do so if you are going that way.

Just avoid the rip off places. With ingenuity described below, the 8% slug can be avoided, and the have few bucks more for mongering activities.

The Vietnamese go to Cambodia using bank ATM card, specially from Techcombank, to withdraw US$2, 000 (the max allowed every transaction) for multiple transactions. Then, they sell US$ for vn dong in Cambodia. The different rate of what they get is 8% more than in vn.

What you want is extremely hard to find, as many have discovered. Short term rentals here tend to be either in guest houses or in $1000+ serviced apartments. I did find one place that would rent by the month for $250 for a studio, but it was just a converted hotel and was pretty run down. You best shot is to check the two main Cambodian chat forums, Khmer440 and Expat Advisory Services, and the classified ads site, BongThom. You occasionally find people wanting to sublet or looking for roommates who are willing to accept short term rentals. I doubt you will find any walking distance from the university, however. That is not a popular expat area. You might also check directly with RUPP.

This report just out on khmer440. Girl mentioned by name is a well known thief and addict. She is in cahoots with a fairly large clique of local and western scumbags. Tempting as it can be to use, best to avoid all illegal substances whilst visiting the Kingdom. Several drug users, rather than servers, have been set up and busted by khmer cops, who are 100% corrupt, in league with the above mentioned clique. Here's the post on 440:

This country never stops to surprise me. Yesterday evening around 9 pm I observed four Cambodian individuals (3 male, one female) using a so called IMSI catcher. They sat across a guesthuse near Rue Yugoslavy apparently observing an american guy and his khmer chick inside of their room. I sat right behind them in a restaurant and they caught my attention because they were using expressions (in khmer) like "american dog, american motherfucker, stupid american" and several times the word "ganja". The woman had a towel on her head hanging down left and right of her face and between the two ends of that towel she was trying to hide that device which looked very similar to this one: http://www.neosoft.ch/products/emerg_tr. LOCK_ID=39

The device she held not only transmitted a very clear audio signal but also a video signal clearly originating from a handset inside that room. Always when their mobile phone was moved the device across the road displayed parts of their faces, limbs, other body parts, the ceiling, the door, the bed. I could clearly hear what they spoke about and they were apparently smoking something. One of the Cambodian guys wore earphones through which he received translations and he passed that information to the girl with the device next to him. I was watching that scenario for about one hour when the girl upstairs said goodbye, I heard the door shutting and two minutes later she came out of the guesthouse, crossed the street and exchanged some words with that four people operating the device and disappeared. She didn't see me which was good because I know her. Haven't seen her for many years. Three or four years ago her regular hangout was the Walkabout and some other bars down that street. She speaks a very good command of english and that time she was going under the name "Ari". In the meantime the guy upstairs decided to write a SMS. Through his secondary camera in his mobile phone I could see his face and the text he was writing! ! Well, after that I had seen enough and I left the premises.

My question would be now : has anybody on this board witnessed things like that already? What's going on in this little shit country? Don't they have better things to do than using $ 500, 000 hardware to spy on some ganja smokers? It doesn't make sense. Any explainations?

it can't be for ganja.

hard to believe it would be for hard drugs.

only thing remotely possible is that they were tailing a ****. from the articles i've read, after a tip, the ngo group puts the guy under surveillance. then he gets arrested. i'm assuming all the guys arrested i read about were guilty.

Another report lifted off 440:

'On a side note I heard a scary rumor from my friend. He told me that police may now stop any foreigner on the street that they suspect of being under the influence of drugs and take them to the police station for a mandatory drug test. If you fail it or refuse to take it, you get 30 days in the clink. Hopefully it is just bs, or there may be a mass exodus of people out of here since the police would most likely abuse the hell out of this law by randomly pick out foreigners and threaten to take them to jail if they don't fork over some cash. '

they were arrested for "drug production". the picture shows hard drugs and marijuana. imo, they were arrested for selling hard drugs. i've seen people ask to borrow a spoon; lol!

wondering if the cambodian police have evidence of selling. the owners (2 of them; not 1 as the article states) did not allow locals in their establishment. if the police raided the place, they would have found the evidence for "drug production".

it seems the happy hippi had way too much pr. i saw many references on the internet. plus they advertised openly in snooky; they advertised the "amsterdam experience".

i doubt they will spend much time in jail; this is cambodia; money talks. i bet money will talk because the western media will not have the spotlight on them (unlike the **** stuff).

If one is only emailing mobitel is a bargain for $5 a month, I can even get some fast downloads for that too.

As for accomodation.

If you want to be near RUPP you should probably stay on or near the riverside.

There are places advertised for $300 or so a month.

If you wanted a pool or health club then you have to go to BKK1 and pay upwards of $600.

Much further from RUPP though.

Nice rooms, great pool & grounds and excellent buffet breakfast. Put your points to good use here.

Penh: Intercontinental is not near anything. The hotel itself is a fine business class hotel, but I would not recommend it due to it's out of the way location. Don't waste your points here.

I heard there is a new Sofitel near the Russian embassy. It is probably real nice, but it's location, although better than the Icon is not that good either meaning you would have to take transport to go anywhere.

I like the Himawari. It has a great location on the river, walking distance to many restaurants and museums, a very good pool, large rooms and GF. I stayed here my last trip in March and will book here again in future. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Thanks for any help. The Sofitel is far and away the best bet in PP. If you appreciate good food it is even better with some of the best International restaurants to be found in the city. Take your GF to the Sunday brunch and she'll be thanking you for the rest of the week. While not right in the action it is only a couple minutes by Tuk Tuk which you can catch out on the street or use the Hotel's pricier transport.

Been looking over this part of the board the last few days.

I last went to Cambodia 10 years ago and it was well worth a visit, from what I'm reading that is absolutely not the case anymore.

Just want to make sure I am understanding things correctly:

Because NGO influence has grown, the youth of Cambodia are no longer employed in the water trade.

The western economy didn't get to make any money off of that, so they have redirected them all, via NGOs and under the guise of saving them from 'exploitation' into

Wage slave jobs at clothing factories etc. At least that way the west gets a cut of their exploitation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all was fine and dandy 10 years ago, but I certainly ran into as many girls who were comfortable with their work as weren't (not unlike if you went into a McDonalds and asked everyone in there "how do you feel about working here?").

I bet the population in general are not getting that great a deal off of their new western forged economic model.

And neither for that matter are the people who frequent this forum :/

Is it just Phnom Phen that has gotten lame, or the country as a whole?

Sounded as if Snooky wasn't up to much either, and when last I was there Batanambang didn't bring much to the table either.

Kind greetings,

FritsWhen you check the bank selling rate, you won't buy them in Holland. Cheapest rate you will get with Visa. Make sure you have a credit balance on your CC account, collect your $$$$ from any ATM in Phnom Penh and you are only charged 2% above mid rate. No extra charges. That is how I always collect my $$$ in Cambodia. BTW, in Thailand you are better off with changing cash 50 euro bills into Bahts.

May the force be with you.The evisa is very easy and worth the $5. It's for a tourist visa only. When you arrive on a flight you don't need to wait in a line to get a visa, but instead you go straight to a counter that says "e-visa" on it. Also they will stamp your passport with a small stamp instead of using the 1 page sticker.

You need to upload a passport photo. It takes 2-3 days to get approval. They email you a a PDF that you print out. You'll need two copies. One for when you enter, one for when you leave.

http://www.mfaic.gov.kh/evisa/

Go to this site, scroll down, read "Name of Port" for more details depending how you arrive.

You can currently use an E Visa to fly into:

Phnom Penh International Airport.

Siem Reap International Airport.

Cham Yeam (Koh Kong)

And to enter by land:

Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) from Thailand.

Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey) from Thailand.

Bavet (Svay Rieng) from Vietnam

Thanks for the info, the bit about the small stamp instead of a full page sticker is valuable info. My passports are full as I travel on business a lot.

May the force be with you and your light sabre throb.

Hello there,

I'm thinking of visiting Cambodia.

But I'm not sure where is best for a sex tourist.

The 2 areas marked for discution on this forum are Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.

I take it that these areas are the places to go.

For a first time newbee can someone recomend me the best place to visit and which one would be cheapest.

Lookig at the map Siem Reap is not far from Pattaya Thailand.

A lorry driver in a layby was telling me the other day that you can travel from Pattaya to Cambodia with a 3 day visa for about 60 quid; is this true or not.

Thanks.

I have looked back through the posts and I am trying to decide is it better with the E visa or not. I have read reports on people with E visas being made to wait where cash visas are given priority. Has any member been recently and can comment which is the best option.

I am going to fly into Siem Reap from KL with Air Asia the head back to Pattaya a week or so later via road.On the airport arrival, the E-Visa will only save you about 10-20 minutes. With the E-visa, you go straight to immigration. Without it, you need to get in line to get the visa on arrival, but that is usually a quick process at the airport.

There are no scams at the airport. Hence it will cost $25 for the E-visa instead of $20, and you save 10-20 minutes. There should be no problems leaving with an E-visa.

Arriving at the land crossing is a different matter. Previously, there was many scams attempting to charge you extra (now there's less, but it's still around). The E-visa will avoid some of that. Look at talesofasia.com and travelfish.org for good info on the land crossings.

JamesCambodia will be the cheapest for sex.

Phnom Penh will be the cheapest area. Go to Street 63 (cheap shack brothels) , Walkabout Bar (cheap ugly girls) and Martinis (slightly more expensive but cuter).

Phnom Penh will be cheaper than Siem Reap. Only go to Siem Reap if you want to see the Ankor what. Sihanoukville (beaches) will be cheaper than Siem Reap, but not cheap as Phnom Penh.

When you go to Cambodia from Thailand, you get a 30 day tourist visa which will cost between $20 - $35 (depending on how badly you are scammed). You can either get a E-visa or get the visa on arrival.

From Pattaya, you can take the local bus to the border and cross by yourself.

Also from Pattaya, there should be tourist buses that will go to Cambodia.

The above 2 options should be less than $90 (60 quid?).

Research talesofasia.com and travelfish.org for land crossing info.

Walkabout Bar (cheap ugly girls) and Martinis (slightly more expensive but cuter). Is this a good scenario.

The further south you go (Bankok to Phnom Penh) the cheaper it gets.

Is street 63 safe and OK for newbee tourists?

Is it only brothels or hockers standing agaist lamp posts?

What would be the going rate hear to take a girl for short tearm or all night?

I take it the Martins is the name of a club?

If I go to Phnom Penh then it is too far south from Thailand unlike Siem Reap, to make a holiday into a cross border crossing.

Thanks for the info on this

Question for you guys.

I'll be arriving in PP soon and getting to the hotel about midnight. I'll probably be pretty tired but walking around full mast. Without putting in the effort to go to a bar after 24 hours of travel, would it be realistic to just walk out of the hotel and ask a driver on the street to get me a girl or take me to a girl? I'm not too picky, just need something vaguely feminine to poke, haha.

prices with freelance girls are usually $20 st and $40 lt for a decent looking girl.

You walk in and either let the girl (s) pick you or you pick them. If you want a drink you have one. Otherwise you pay the barfine (5 st 7 lt) and buy the girl one drink. You then pay the girl $25 ST or agree on a LT price. Unlike Walkabout or Heart of Darkness, you won't have to wonder who will go or negotiate price because any girl not behind the bar will go and the ST price is standard for all of them. The only caveat is that some do things that others won't, for example CIM.

One thing I found a bit frustrating was the quest to get a BJ in Cambodia. In all but a few cases the girls willing to do it wanted extra or just flat out refused.

Most said they did not do anal as well. When I was in Sihanoukeville I had anal sex with two women and attempted with another (I could not get in) in Phnom Penh. In all cases I was told beforehand that they did not boom-boom there. I found that if while doing them doggy style I went for it, they may struggle a bit but none of the three I tried with got upset after. With the two I got into, once it was in and I got going they went with it for as long as they could and neither asked for more money.

Obviously I cannot just stick my dick in their mouth when they are not looking, but is there some kind of trick to getting it included in the service? After a little over a month in Cambodia I learned to do without it but it is something I really enjoy.

Always ask whether they do it as you negotiate a deal, rather than once you are in the bedroom. Often the girl will say yes to clinch the deal. I've found about 80% of the girls will agree to a BBBJ.

Not sure I personally agree with your approach to getting anal sex. ("they may struggle a bit"?)

Like you I've found most Khmer girls won't agree to it. On one occasion I asked a girl from Cyrcee and she said no, but said she had a friend who would do it. So I took both of them, and when the girl who wouldn't do it saw me with her friend, and that the friend seemed to do it with ease, she then volunteered to try (for an extra fee!). So I ended up doing it with both.

Another time I took out a 'new' girl from a bar (I often ask which are the new girls or those who haven't been asked out for weeks, as I find they are often the most willing and enthusiastic) and she seemed happy to do everything including anal.

I've found it sometimes depends how well the girl knows you. If you go to a bar frequesntly and get to talk to and buy drinks for the same girls, they are more relaxed and willing to agree to BBBJs etc. They are human beings after all and respond to being treated nicely and respectfully.

Cyrcee was very good. When I went with the two I chose they insisted on switching condoms when I changed girl. I found them to be more fun than the same sort of set up up in Pattaya. And much cheaper as well. And I ended up cum on tits with the larger of the two girls. She just laughed.

The ST place across the street is a shithole though. I seem to remember some sort of penalty if a towel gets "lost" of $14! And very similar for the key. Nothing happened in that regards but take them to your hotel if you feel like its too creepy there.

aussieguy100,

i appreciate the advice. i also want to apologize because my comment about anal sex was a bit crass. after re-reading it, i have to admit that i sound like a bit of a [CodeWord126] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord126). instead of saying struggle i should have explained that sometimes if you just slip in instead of asking, there tends to be a wtf moment from the women. some say stop or not there (in which case i stop) , but some let it happen. of those who let it happen some can be a little jumpy when the penetration first occurs.

I found this online so I am going to paste a piece here:

"when I returned to the U S I was the only one on the plane they took aside and did a special customs search.

They went through every pocket my camera and looked at every photo. Which had a few of older ladies that I hooked up with. When they did not find anything after searching for over an hour they let me go.

Two weeks later two Homeland security agents showed up at my front door and said they wanted to check out my computer because when I went through customs they said it was reported that I had photos of ladies of questionable age on my camera. I told them no, The main reason I did not want them to look in my pc was I have a lot of business information on it which I felt was none of the governments business. They said if they had to come back with a warrant they would not be so nice.

I called a friend of mine while they were here for advice he told me to tell them no and go get a warrant and ask them if they had any more questions to go through him. They left and I have never heard from them again."

Any of this happened to any of you guys? How strong is the built in windows disk encryption program? Please provide any of your experiences. The last time I got off a plane the immigration official let on to the fact that I was on some kind of list. But he did not provide anymore details. As he was talking I took a quick glance down on his desk and sure enough there was some list and my name was on it. Fortunately I did not have a laptop on me at the time, but I usually always travel with one.

I've been thru this same detailed search at SFO, where I expect it, I always get the same search there. Never in Houston or LAX. But back to DHS, if they show up two weeks later, they WILL have a warrant.

I'm currently in Thailand, and I'm wishing to avoid the sonkran water festival in Thailand on April 14th, I was planning on going to Cambodia to get away from the madness, but a friend here told me they have the same water festival in Cambodia, can anyone of you guys on here confirm if you have sonkran in Cambodia? If you do, is it as crazy as Thailand, or?

Since we travel to this humble country we may as well try to gain a balanced view of historical facts weather or not we choose to believe them.Israel Shamir (that is not his real name) is the author of the article you linked. He is a notorious liar and a holocaust denier. In the article he exonerates Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge, and writes that the Killing Fields never happened or at worst is an exaggeration of a thousand fold. In addition he is also an anti-Semite and Jewish holocaust denier too. What a guy!

Shamir's little Cambodian tale reminds me of Joseph Goebbels famous quote 'If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. '

If you think Shamir's account of the Pol Pot years is anywhere near accurate or "a balanced view of historical facts", then you are mental. No one knows exactly how many died during those years. The best estimates are 1 to 2 million, but he really cared about Cambodia!

And 9/11 was an inside job, right.

The worst genocides of modern history

Mao Ze-Dong (China, 1958-61 and 1966-69, Tibet 1949-50) - 49-78,000,000
Adolf Hitler (Germany, 1939-1945) - 12,000,000 (concentration camps and civilians deliberately killed in WWII plus 3 million Russian POWs left to die)
Leopold II of Belgium (Congo, 1886-1908) - 8,000,000
Jozef Stalin (USSR, 1932-39) - 6,000,000 (the gulags plus the purges plus Ukraine's famine)
Hideki Tojo (Japan, 1941-44) - 5,000,000 (civilians in WWII)
Ismail Enver (Turkey, 1915-20) - 1,200,000 Armenians (1915) + 350,000 Greek Pontians and 480,000 Anatolian Greeks (1916-22) + 500,000 Assyrians (1915-20)
Pol Pot (Cambodia, 1975-79) - 1,700,000
Kim Il Sung (North Korea, 1948-94) - 1.6 million (purges and concentration camps)
Menghistu (Ethiopia, 1975-78) - 1,500,000
Yakubu Gowon (Biafra, 1967-1970) - 1,000,000
Leonid Brezhnev (Afghanistan, 1979-1982) - 900,000
Jean Kambanda (Rwanda, 1994) - 800,000
Saddam Hussein (Iran 1980-1990 and Kurdistan 1987-88) - 600,000
Tito (Yugoslavia, 1945-1987) - 570,000
Sukarno (Communists 1965-66) - 500,000
Fumimaro Konoe (Japan, 1937-39) - 500,000? (Chinese civilians)
Jonas Savimbi (Angola, 1975-2002) - 400,000
Mullah Omar - Taliban (Afghanistan, 1986-2001) - 400,000

I'm from New York bro.

I didn't say Phnom Penh should be avoided at all costs. Some people like it. Some people even like the urban centers of India (!). But if you dislike extremely loud noise on a consistent basis, or if you're a light sleeper who needs rest, then you should look elsewhere. This is the type of comment that I find might be useful to punters.

Can anyone tell me how the noise levels of PP in Cambodia compare to places around NEP in Bangkok?

On Christmas Eve or day, I forget which, I could hear loud fireworks explosions till almost 4 AM by my residence on the 10th floor in Siam.

I expect New Years Eve celebrations to be even worse.

Is it time to invest in ear plugs, noise cancelling headphones, or turn on your IPOD? Perhaps a loud fan can be purchased in PP to drown out other noises. Having AC in your hotel room could work to the same effect.

But the point isn't about massages. It's about how fucked Cambodia is for mongering. It doesn't make sense that a haggard old bird with kids and a saggy stretch-marked body who is probably on crack or meth and lives in one of the poorest / lowest cost of living countries in the world where prostitution is right out in the open would ask for MORE money than a 19 year old stunner with a flawless body who probably spends more on her makeup than the aforementioned woman spends on her monthly rent, living in one of the world's most expensive countries, where the prostitution seen is underground.

When massage girls in Phnom Penh want more money than massage girls in New York City, something is amiss bro. Thanks for the entertainment.

I expect New Years Eve celebrations to be even worse.I was in PP for two weeks (mid-Dec) and the only noise that woke me up was from the girls coming to clean the rooms (they do that in Thailand too, they talk loud to wake up the guests so they can clean their room quickly and go home!) , PP was very quite as far I'm concerned (I wasn't staying on a busy road but generally they don't use their horn much at night. Hence so many accidents. LOL).

You should expect a bit of fireworks during the festive season, that's normal everywhere, in London I used to get really annoyed with fireworks noise around 5 Nov. Far worse than anywhere you can imagine?)

Currently I have problem with noise in Sihanoukville, just about any guest house or hotel here has a bar with load music till late at night. My first hotel was next to karaoke place with load music, the new one has building work next door, and tonight a concert right outside in the large space. Though that is one night a year and I actually enjoyed going to this concert.

The biggest problem and difference I see to LOS is the issue with health and hygiene here, they have no idea what it is about, rubbish everywhere, smell of sewage, just about anywhere guys stand up and [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), day or night, not to scare you but there is currently a dengue fever outbreak / epidemic in PP, so far the reported cases in 2012 is even worse than the 2007 outbreak (Google it). But I don't think it's much to worry for a week or two visit, I didn't come across any mozzies in most places I went to. I think it mostly effects people living in poor areas and shacks etc.

Google trucrypt and follow the instructions once you; ve read up on what its about.

Always delete using some kind of secure file wipe program.

And probably a load of other stuff. Read up on disk hygiene, security etc.I used to travel to the USA regularly but never do so now for these and related reasons. Ever since 9/11, every security / government / customs agency has taken upon themselves to violate the rights of individual arriving travelers with virtually no probable cause. If the reason for delaying you and turning your stuff upside down is a secret for security reasons, you have no rights any more.

I have been reliably informed that most of these searches without probable cause are illegal. But if they find something suspicious, their powers are extraordinary under Homeland Security and related laws.

By using encryption, you may be opening yourself to problems with these guys checking your computer. Either you agree to provide the key which defeats the point of encrypting your files in the first place or you refuse. Refusal could be used as probable cause to either a) keep your computer for further checking be) Arrest you under some dodgy unclear legal code or see) subject you to further investigation. Better to backup everything to the cloud (Google drive) and leave some boring data on the computer. You need to get rid of the evidence that you have backed-up to Google drive along with other disk hygiene measures otherwise they will want to see that too.

I have additional serious concerns about travel to the USA. There are some really peculiar redundant laws on the books that should have been removed years ago. And some of the laws prohibit importation of substances that are perfectly legitimate in other Western countries. For example, codeine in cold or flu remedies that are available across the counter without prescription in many countries. Accidentally importing such meds in your luggage could drop you in very hot water. All of that in combination with their overweening powers, lack of probable cause etc make me nervous. And anyway, with some exceptions (Nevada) , practicing the hobby (esp FS) is deeply problematic due to draconian laws with police running sting operations and all sorts of nonsense.

can anyone tell me how the noise levels of pp in cambodia compare to places around nep in bangkok?in pp i stayed at both the flamingo and the blue tongue. i never heard any noise at either one. the blue tongue could uses some drapes to block out the sunlight though. in bkk around soi 4 i have stayed at nana, but now i stay at ibis or grand sukhumvit. never any noise at either of those locations as well.

But if they find something suspicious, their powers are extraordinary under Homeland Security and related laws. There is no such thing as probable cause when entering a sovereign country's borders. Probable cause is the fact that you are entering. Don't like it, keep your ass out as you have been doing. In addition, if you are not a citizen of a country then that country's rights and responsibilities do not pertain to you being a foreigner. Just because I choose to take my shoes off and kick my feet up on my coffee table does not mean you have the right to do the same as a visitor in my house. If I tell you to take your shoes off before entering then that is what you do if you wish to gain admission into my house. You don't go to someone else's house and get pissed because they have certain rules and protocol that you have to follow and you are not allowed to do the same as you would in your own house.

Judging by your attitude I suggest that you are better off not travelling to the USA where your unsubstantiated attacks on the country might make you unwelcome.

Prostitution is alive and well in the USA. Maybe the local WGs prefer more rational clients.

Prostitution is alive and well in the USA. Maybe the local WGs prefer more rational clients.I think you mistake my meaning and I have no wish to get into a flame war on this.

I lived in the USA some time ago and I long ago learned to love its people who are probably rank among the most hospitable on the planet. I love its cities, including NY, Boston and even DC for its museums etc. But a control freakery has crept into the administration of the law through its many agencies since 9/11.

Your experience might well be different from mine and you are perfectly entitled to your opinion on that score. But so am I and my various American friends and acquaintances who are unhappy with the state of affairs that currently exists with respect homeland security and related issues in the USA. For instance, I personally have never experienced a laptop examination in any Western country except for the USA. Quite a few people I know say the same.

Of course you may not see such actions as infringement of the liberty of a law-abiding person. You may even welcome it. You may like to have your laptop taken from you for a couple of weeks and searched but most people do not. You may like on arrival to be taken aside for no reason and treated like a criminal and be questioned. Most people do not.

"I have been reliably informed" means that I have been informed by at least one person who is knowledgeable in this area of the law. In this case, I am referring specifically to three lawyers who have good reputations and who are partners in different law firms.

I have had several friends and colleagues whose careers over the years were ruined by the enforcement of vice laws in the USA through sting operations. You may not have had this experience and thankfully neither have I. Again, such sting operations are not allowed in other Western countries as far as I am aware but they are very prevalent in the USA and are discussed at some length in the USA sister site.

Excuse me if I chose to travel or to practice the hobby where I am unlikely to have trouble with the law, have better overall value for money and where I am unlikely to have my privacy invaded on entering the country. There is nothing irrational about that.

I have always found Americans to be most welcoming and more than happy to discuss openly the goods and bads of the USA (there are good and bads in every country). I would never like to visit a country whose authorities would make me unwelcome if I ever opened my mouth to agree with criticism that is being voiced by their own people. I certainly hope that the USA has not stooped to the level of doing precisely, as you seem to infer in your last sentence (that the USA authorities might in some way make me unwelcome because I voiced a criticism of their treatment of travellers arriving from abroad, a criticism that is also voiced by some of their own law-abiding citizens).

I am glad you find that the hobby is alive and well in the USA. There are many posts from folks on the USA sister site to this one who are actively discussing what I have mentioned, such as sting ops of the more devious kind and other matters to do with what they term the invasion of the privacy of their sex life whenever they choose to pay a provider.

But you are entitled to your opinion even if you don't think that other people are entitled to theirs.

i agree that the level of searches and such is egregious. but are people actually having their laptops taken for weeks?

the only thing i ever saw proof of was that the guy who shoots porn in the dr (toticos or whatever he calls it) had two of his hard drives confirep001ed for being full of porn.

How many Cambodian hookers that go with foreigners have HIV?

BTW, maybe the Cambodian section here on ISG could use a Safe Sex thread.

Interestingly at the same bar is a 17 year old carrying a 19 yo I'd card.

How many bar girls in PP do you think have slept with our African cousins? Do the girls show you a list of past fucks when you pick them up in Candy bar for example? Seriously? I hate to think of the sexual history of these girls OR the blokes who sleep with them. How many men passing through PP have slept with African prostitutes, or Pattaya, or? Basically if you are sleeping with bar girls from 104/136 and not using a condom then good fucking luck because you will need it. Shudder.

An aquaintance of mine who nursed him over this period said he recognised a lot of girls from the Skankabout picking up their weekly retrovirals from the clinic there.

It's the perceptions of Africans not having any money. Heck, one of the babes asked me where I was from and I said Africa. SHe told me that I was lying and right away knew that I was an American. Shortly thereafter I took her up stairs and fucked the hell out of her, (sweet revenge). Once we were back downstairs again with my arms around her and my hands in her girlfriend's panties and I asked them why they don't like people from Africa. They said its because the Africans don't like to spend money.

I walked past it yesterday (remembered location from previous visit) and there was a local restaurant there. Not a trace of the old place. So far I haven't found a satisfying daytime on-site place. It's the feelings left behind from the days many years ago. There were a slew of Africans (real africa africans) for years that had scammed girls with counterfeit money, or didn't pay, tried to 3-4 way the girls and built a bad rep. But girls all respond to $. Once they realize a person is black american or european (or another girl says you are 'good man') then it's no problem. Smile, buy a few drinks and its all good.

For what it's worth, this is what I heard from Cambodian women (totally unsolicited) while staying in Phnom Penh for work:

- They often do not believe there are black people in America who do not originate in Africa. All Cambodians are Khmer, so in their mind, all Americans are white. No matter how many times I tried to explain the situation, they were having none of it.

- Blacks are Africans. Africa is a country. Or Africa is Nigeria. Nigerians are in Cambodia because Nigeria is poor and Cambodia has more money. Nigerians sell crack in Cambodia and use fake money and fake passports. Nigerians don't have visas and the police don't like them. Some Barang have HIV. All Nigerians have it.

- Black guys have huge cocks and fuck too hard. Black guys hit women.

- Black guys are cheap. Black guys don't buy lady drinks. Black guys don't pay enough to boom boom.

- If a bar has black customers in it, white and Asian customers will not want to enter.

I heard each of things enough times for it to stay in my memory. They would actually point out the one or two ladies in a bar who would go out with black customers and make jokes about it, to which the ladies pointed out would deny or respond with anger. I'd say the dislike for black people among most working ladies in Cambodia is among the highest I've encountered, much higher than say the Philippines or Latin America (but still lower than say Korea, where people are literally deathly afraid of blacks).

They're all fucked up don't even bother trying to figure it out. They are prejudice among their own people because of skin colour. Like Khmer culture is mostly Indian culture or very similar, but they say they have their own.

They think white guys have big dicks too, I had a 3 some in Thailand before and the one girl would only BBBJ me, but wouldn't go for a ride said I was too big. She liked Japanese and Korean men under 100mm WTF, should have brought along my 10 year old son for her.

I did read a report on the internet, don't know who did the research, but they said Khmer, Thai and Korean men had the smallest dicks. 4 inch average. 6 inch for caucasian and 7 inch for blacks, but my best friend that's Khmer is the same size as me at 150mm and I have never had a Khmer ever say I was even big just average, which I agree. I have white friends that are 5 to 10 inches so?

I think 7 inches is about perfect you can slam the whole thing in there, I know my friends that are 8 and up say they can't use it all on most girls with out hurting them.

Ok that's enough I'm starting to feel gay talking about men's dick sizes. Never mind.

Cheers

today, while watching al jazeera television network, there was this documentary about [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) and brutality against cambodian women by cambodian men. they target girls even as young as school girls and assault them physically and also [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) them. it could be 15 or even more men at a time. as prostitution is illegal in cambodia, the girls rarely report to the police. secondly, the girls said that they would be further raped by the police and nothing really happens. just a handful of the gang [CodeWord124] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord124) ever are brought to courts. if you want to watch this documentary, it may be on the al jazeera website, called [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) among friends. the documentary was made in 2013. as the police is usually with the [CodeWord127] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord127), not sure if you can do anything if you come across this while you are there. it was stated that the cambodian culture is quite abusive and there is considerable domestic violence. another factor may be the 30 years of non stop war and hardships. just be kind to the cambodian women when you are there.

Hi,

I'm travelling to S. E. A. In Mars 2014, I'll start spending 3. 4 weeks in Thailand on holiday, and then maybe some weeks in the Philippines before heading to Cambodia where I'll try to find a work.

Just wondering, are there harder to date and mate with women (long term relationships) in Cambodia, no money paid, compared to the Philippines or Thailand?

It's good to sow you're wildoaks around some, but I feel lonely without a real girlfriend over time.

Hi friends,

I am planning to visit Cambodia next month. I will stay there for 10 days. I am going there only to enjoy sex tourism over there. Can you all please guide me which are the places I should visit and stay I. E. Phnom Penh or Siam Reap? Or there are any other good places? I want day and night actions both. How the girls are? Which girls are more cute? Khmer or Vietnamese? What are the rates of ST and LT? Rate of bar fine? How should I approach for a girl to barfine? I will prefer very young and cute girls. Which are the bars I should visit for that? Shall I also visit HCMC of Vietnam or it is better in Cambodia. Please, guide me. I will be on regular in this forum.

Thanks

age of consent vs age of majority

=============================================

greetings gentlemen,

the age of consent is the age in which girls can participate in consensual, non-commercial sex with their teen-age boyfriend without said teen-age boyfriend being charged with statutory [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123).

however, the age of consent is irrelevant to the members of this forum.

what you need to focus on is the age of majority, which among other things is the age in which they can vote, get married, enlist in the military, and participate in commercial sex activities.

please exercise caution and govern yourself accordingly.

thanks,

and if you are a citizen of the usa, that age is 18. this is one of the few laws that follow us around the world regardless.

age of consent vs age of majority.

=============================================

greetings gentlemen,

the age of consent is the age in which girls can participate in consensual, non-commercial sex with their teen-age boyfriend without said teen-age boyfriend being charged with statutory [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123).

however, the age of consent is irrelevant to the members of this forum.

what you need to focus on is the age of majority, which among other things is the age in which they can vote, get married, enlist in the military, and participate in commercial sex activities.

please exercise caution and govern yourself accordingly.

thanks,

Hi folks,

I'll be on vacation in Cambodia for 3 weeks end of April until middle of May. Anybody know where to find a tour guide who can show you both the seedy sides of the country and ordinary tourist sites like Angkor what or maybe a beach or whatever as well? Basically I enjoy sightseeing, eating and beer at the daytime and punting, barhopping etc. At night in my holidays.

Would be willing to pay a reasonable rate (like 20-50 USD a day, don't know what the going rate is) for some local to show me around a little, maybe act as drinking buddy at the same time. Or do I just ask some local motorcycle dude to show me around once I'm there? Don't know how safe that is. My first time in Cambodia, so far mostly have had experience in China.

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help. I am in Cambodia for a few months, but for various reasons have no intention of meeting any of the locals, working or otherwise. However, my internet is too slow to. Do what I need it to do. To stop me going crazy.

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find DVDs of an adult nature? I'm not talking about anything illegal or extreme, just the everyday kind of dvd I might find in a store in the US.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I'll be in PP soon, and wanted a general rundown, so I have a bunch of questions: It'll be my first time here and have no clue what to expect. I've been reading around the forum to check stuff out.

How is the scene in general this time of year given that it's low season?

What's the big difference between the Vietnamese and Khmer girls? Are there usual differences in standards and prices?

If you like the Viet girls, are they in particular spots or everywhere?

What are usual prices for ST, LT, and overnight that I should be paying? What kind of factors help in negotiating?

I keep reading about the farm girls and short time shags. Where do you find this?

Where would be the best place to start off on a first night there?

Update on Loco Bar on St. 130. My experiences in PP limited to two short trips. But this new bar is the nicest visited. No pressure on lady drinks ($3. 50+) , very nice atmosphere, super clean and most important very very nice group of young ladies to take care of you.

My first choice tanked, that time of month. But option 2 turned out to be fabulous evening in my hotel. She registered as required by GFE hotel and had relaxing 2 hr session. Not a clock watcher. Definitely repeat with her and over 10 from bar that caught my eye!

Visitors should check it out. Slightly off the more populated bar streets but girls not as hardened pros, IMHO.

Pix show them modeling some tee shirts I bought. Doubled as pj for #2 girl at hotel session.

Just back from Cambodia. The girls were nice I thought, but anybody else notice an abundance of absolutely asshole judgemental western backpacking type bum tourists, as all of Sout East Asia seems to be full of (was my first visit to SE Asia, before always went to China)? Like I was in Sihanoukville with a girl from a bar, invited her out to lunch and we were peacefully enjoying our meal when some backpacking student type couple sat down next to us and started talking about the "sick western sex tourists in Asia" and so on. The same way I had made the mistake of booking a hotel over the internet from tripadvisor. Com, which I would NEVER do again that wasn't girl friendly and when I showed up with two girls in tow in the evening the f*cking hotel clerk showed me a sign that read "sex tourists not welcome", but the hotel still took my money, right. Then I made the mistake of going to a kind of bar next to that backpacker hotel, it was full of arrogant American student type pricks, who all seemed confrontational towards the single male Western traveller to Cambodia. So these experiences kind of spoiled the entire vacation for me.

So my recommendations for anyone:

1. Choose a hotel after you get there that is close to the bar street and girl friendly.

2. Stay away from the backpacker / foreign student bums places.

And once more, the Cambodian girls themselves were mostly very nice. But next time I will go to China again, no judgemental backpacking student bums in Zhuhai or Dongguan.

Oh, and sorry for coming over as angry, but I spent a lot of money on that vacation to have a good time and I wasn't bad to anybody, especially not any girl, so I don't expect to be insulted by some random assholes that don't even know me.

As for what you've written, I'm quite surprised. I guess you went to some of the worse places in Sihanoukville.

Coolabah Hotel near Serendipidity beach is confirmed as guest friendly and most of the guests seemed to be non-English speaking Russians anyhow. The other better alternative is to stick to Victory Hill which has a bunch of girl-friendly guest houses and anyhow most of the people living there are sex tourists and expats that frequent the girls on a regular basis.

But I do agree. The backpackers, or rather what I prefer to call, young cheap naive tourists being ripped off left and right (all the while convinced they're going off the tourist track. Ha), don't really have a high opinion of what goes on. Most of those that I saw were in groups, including their girlfriends, so they honestly are living in a different world. Ignore them. You'll never see them again.

Anyway, I changed hotels in Phnom Penh after the incident with the "no sex tourists welcome" sign which the hotel clerk pointed at and the second hotel close to the bar street was also girl friendly.

Still, the problem for me remains. And maybe I'm to self conscious. That I don't really like to be looked down the nose by some western tourists when on vacation, so I guess I won't be returning to Cambodia.

In sihanoukville, I prefer Victory Hill, but I also stayed at hotels at Otres Beach, at Serendipity Beach and on the islands. All GF.

Hello everyone,

My report, as promised, of my trip and my impression of Cambodia's scene, particularly concerning myself with the 3 most popular cities: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and of course, Sihanoukville. I'll start off by conceding that I do not live there, and that what I write is subjective, based on my own experiences, and therefore will be up for dispute by some, so feel free to take it with some salt, particularly if you're an expat with more experience here than me. This is also my first time coming to Asia, so forgive the naivety that may crop up in between the lines.

I'll probably divide it up and place the relevant parts in their respective sections by city.

Right now, I'll give some general thoughts.

I quite enjoyed my time here and the scene is quite bustling and active, despite apparently not being what it was back in the 1990's and increasing restrictions on certain activities by puritan authorities. There are no strip clubs, there is no public nudity (hell, there isn't even any porn to buy at the markets as even pornography is illegal in this country). This seems to be a conservative country outside of what goes on at night. Cambodia still, as far as I know, is the cheapest for both daily expenses as well as for mongering (please PM me if I'm wrong with other locations, I'd love to hear).

The women in Cambodia first of all come across as quite passive and unsure, meaning that most of the time you'll have to make the first step for the girl you want, unless you wish to be cornered and saddled with one that you don't. This goes for the bars, as much as it goes for the nightclubs, as much as it goes in the street. Being firm and clear, while not being blatantly rude probably will get you the most out of your trip. To quote a previous report, it is all an illusion, plain and simple. So, steer that illusion to the one you want.

The other hurdle to me is a clear language barrier: The level of English as one would think, is quite low, even in the barang / hostess / girlie (pick your favourite name) bars meaning that if you like to have good conversation and then move to the next step, you may often be disappointed. Trying to repeat yourself in broken English while trying to talk over the music over and over again is not everyone's cup of tea. Get used to the same 3 questions over and over again: "Where you from?" "How old are you?" "How long you stay in Cambodia?" and make sure you have a clever, playful and comprehensible answer. (I forgot to add "You play pool?

It goes without saying that the more Khmer you know, the further it will get you. Other reports add some colloquial phrases, though be careful with pronunciation which takes practice. Personally if I lived here, I would love to speak it fluently and this would probably exponentially improve the experience. Though in this case, I'm not sure whether one would stay in barang bars at all to get what one wanted.

A lot of the girls, along with being naturally passive, also often seem to be disinterested and inactive in many of the bars. This is exhibited in the worst of the bars where you walk into one, are approached by the ugliest, oldest or fattest specimens while the showcase girls that invited you in in the first place, stay outside playing on their phones.

You're in now, you better buy a drink. Personally I would either play with this point or just leave. Keep in mind that in the bars, money talks, and the lady drinks show the interest and basically keep her attention long enough to even have a chance at getting what you want (they get 1 dollar of the 3-4 dollars you pay). As has been written, it is a rip-off and usually never consists of alcohol but rather coke and water. That, my friend, is possibly the most overpriced drink you'll ever pay for, but it's not the drink, it's the company. Ask for a massage and pull her closer to put things into perspective. Sadly, you'll find that not all girls that gladly accept the lady drink will barfine.

Personally I found the bars to be far from ideal places to bang (and definitely not the cheapest, already boosted by the 10 dollar barfine), but they are safe, reliable and entertaining.

The girls look younger than they often are. Younger does not translate into better service and usually means less English, but that can be fun too if, again, you're forthright and make her do what you want.

My tips for the first time travellers would be to always talk to other expats in the bars (don't be a stranger), as they can give valuable tips, know the rates and know the scene generally. This can help avoid the beginner's traps.

Of the 3 cities I visited, doubtlessly Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville are better, in that order, with the latter simply being smaller and low key, yet with plenty to offer. I'll provide more details. There likely is are more places, but not everyone on a holiday is interested in a 3 hour bus trip each time, just to discover that there isn't anything of note.

The other thing to look for is when you reply positively to pool (or connect4 for that matter), they'll try and make a deal for the lady drinks: "if I win, you buy me / us drink". As if playing against.

Pros (no pun intended) is a fair bet.

If you are traveling anywhere in Cambodia, if available always use Mekong Express. This is a upstanding company that lives up to their reputation.

I used them when I traveled from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. They had a English speaking guide in addition to a driver. They passed out snacks and a cool towel. Their pit stops were at actual restaurants with fully functional bathrooms. They provided wifi on the bus. They didn't stop at every small village to try and pick up passengers. When we arrived at Phnom Penh, they explained to us that they have already arranged preferred tuk tuk drivers to take us the rest of the way to our hotel at a fair price. They explained that before they did this, many tourist would get ripped off. I was skeptical at first, but everything was well organized when I got there. The bus pulled into an enclosed and fenced depot. I told them where my hotel was and they priced everything in zones, my zone was $4 which is not cheap but reasonable. The tuktuk driver showed sincere concern for my safety. He even told me to keep my luggage and backpack in the center of the seat so people couldn't snatch it while we were on the move.

http://catmekongexpress.com/schedule.html

Here is an example of a bad bus experience. I took Sorya on the return trip from Phnom Penh to Poi pet. The english speaking guide got off the bus when we hit the city border. Pit stops were at terrible locations. Most of the time the bathrooms did not have running water, there was just a big tub of standing water and a cup for you to scoop out water. The restaurant we stopped at for mid day meal had like 3 food options. The driver stopped numerous times to pick up random people. It was like a public bus. There was no wifi. They were not on time, they didn't care what time we arrived. When I arrived in Poi Pet, they were so disorganized. I was first off the bus and kept an eye on my suitcase. I had a feeling they would lose it if I didn't grab it as soon as they removed it from the storage compartment. After I grabbed everything I was swarmed with people offering me rides at ridiculous prices. They dropped us off on a sidewalk. I decided to walk away from the swarm and went down 3 blocks before flagging a tuk tuk and riding it the rest of the way to the Thailand border.

Going to add this as a word of caution, because my conscience tells me to. Cambodia is not a very clean place. I had diarrhoea for most of the time that I was there, as evidence of this. If you get sick with something serious, or are at risk for infection, get the hell out on the next plane as terrible things (imagine dying from a broken leg) can happen during the "treatment" at the clinics and hospitals (especially bad in Sihanoukville -source? The expats living there).

The other thing (I'm not your mom, or any other nagging figure in your life) are STDs.

Although apparently the rate of AIDS transmission has fallen in this country, as well as the number of people with AIDS (they must drop like flies in this failed state), it's still fairly high.

By world standards, and worse, much higher among the "sex workers", especially the freelancers (estimates put it at between 25 and 50% Even if you get through the risk of HIV.

There's a ton of others to worry about (Gonorrhea, Herpes, Hepatitis be and C). I would suggest not to take a risk anywhere, but most definitely not here. Cambodia may not be Africa, but it's closer than I would be comfortable with.

Again, I'm not here to scaremonger, and I think I made it back in one piece. But I should have been more aware of the risks before going.

Thursday December 18 2014: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Thursday ordered a probe into an apparent mass HIV infection believed to have been spread by contaminated needles, as the number of suspected cases passed 100.

Hundreds of panicked residents of the remote Roka village in western Battambang province have flocked for testing since news of the infections emerged last week, with health officials saying a total of 106 people may have been infected.

"I call for a thorough investigation into the issue," Hun Sen said in a televised speech, urging tests of the equipment used to verify the patients have contracted HIV.

Teams from the kingdom's Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNAIDS have been at the site since Tuesday to review the alarmingly high number of positive results and offer free -- and voluntary -- testing.

"I urge everyone to stay calm and avoid listening to or spreading rumours," Minister of Health Mam Bunheng said in a statement.

"We should also fully respect the privacy of the affected families and ensure they do not face stigma and discrimination. ".

The outbreak, in the village of around 800 residents, emerged in late November when a 74-year-old Roka man tested positive at a local health centre for the virus, swiftly followed by his grand-daughter and son-in-law, the ministry said.

The spotlight then moved to all of the patients -- including teenagers -- of an unlicensed local doctor, whom villagers suspect of spreading the virus through contaminated needles.

Local media reports said the self-appointed doctor has been questioned by police.

Mean Chhi Vun, director of the Health Ministry's National Center for HIV / AIDS, Dermatology and STDs, said health experts were double-checking the results.

"We need to do more confirmation tests," he told AFP.

Cambodia has been widely hailed for its efforts in tackling HIV / AIDS.

The National AIDS Authority says the rate of HIV infection among people aged 15 to 49 has declined from 0. 6 percent in 2013 to 0. 4 percent in 2014.

Currently, Cambodia estimates more than 73,000 people live with the disease.

The country is aiming for a zero-percent HIV / AIDS infection rate by 2020.

Hi all,

I chatted to a foreigner today and while chatting about the Cambodian visa options, he told me that his expat friends informed him that changes are expected in March 2015.

Currently when arriving by boarder crossing or a flight, it is possible to either ask for a tourist visa or an ordinary visa (business visa) and these visas will be issued. I am not sure how the changes will effect buying a visa, all I can do is pass on the info I heard today.

The changes will affect the business visa. At this time the ordinary visa can easily be extended for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. My friend told me that if you already have an ordinary visa, then if the indicated changes come into effect in March, then then the extension application needs support documentation, either proof of business docs or employment docs.

After chatting to my friend, I did visit my travel agent who has handled my extensions before. She told me that the changes are expected in March. Further she said that there is little details available or provided by immigration at this time.

So we shall see if the changes are implemented in March. And what might be the details implications and requirements for those currently staying in Cambodia while holding an ordinary.

I will visit my travel agent in a couple of weeks to quiz here about any further updates.

Thursday December 18 2014: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Thursday ordered a probe into an apparent mass HIV infection believed to have been spread by contaminated needles, as the number of suspected cases passed 100.The numbers of contaminations that are occurring in the Battembang HIV outbreak do not stack up for it to have come from a single doctor. The risk per 10,000 exposures for needle sharing and needle puncture is 63 and 23, respectively. For the number of infections that are occurring. The doctor would have had to treat around 20-40,000 for the sums to make sense. It is quickly becoming apparent that there is something of a cover up being attempted. The latest theories to come out of Phnom Penh are that the source of the outbreak is actually from recycled syringes. Whilst large scale recycling of syringes is quiet common in rural communities, for the quantities we are talking about, it seems likely that it is actually from a Ministry of Health licensed source.

The government doesn't have a good track record regarding this outbreak, with Hun Sen originally denying the numbers infected. It is highly unlikely that this story will be allowed to run in the self-censored Cambodian newspapers or state controlled television centers. The source that I heard this from is a political figure, and has been verified as 'an active rumor' by someone I know working in the Cambodian health service. My advice to anyone visiting Cambodia for the time being would be to bring your own supply of syringes if you need them, or be sure you get them from reliable sources. Buying from any small pharmacies at the moment is suspect.

Since the late December post, local chatter about the visa (Ordinary / Business) has 'stabilised'. Starting about six weeks ago articles started appearing in the local newspapers reporting debate and updates for the 'Business visa'. The focus of the discussion seems to be emanating from the Dept of Labor rather than the Dept of Immigration. The Dept of Labor is interesting in managing / controlling the numbers of 'undocumented' people engaged in work / business activities without the appropriate visas and work permits.

Further, and this is speculation, the Dept of Labor seems more interested in the Vietnamese contingent. Prior to the appearance of the newspaper articles there were a series of raids on Vietnamese business and detentions.

The newspaper articles essentially reported the Dept of Labor wants aliens to hold the correct visa documentation and needs the cooperation of the Immigration Dept to achieve this goal.

However for those, like myself, who are neither working or operating a business and are self funded may be confused about what options are available for extending the Ordinary visa for the three, six or twelve month extensions.

The current stage of the changes was clarified in one of the more recent newspapers which finally addressed the point for self funded expats. The report stated that if a foreigner is neither working or operating a business, the Ordinary visa extensions will be granted. This kinda makes sense, because it is the Dept of Labor pushing the debate rather than the Immigration Dept.

My Ordinary visa is due for renewal next month. Yesterday I did visit my visa agent and asked if there were any major changes to the visa extension situation. She assured me that everything is still the same for my case. We shall see if this is indeed true next month when I submit the passport for a 12 month extension. And I will report back the result.

I have a question about something that might be taboo to talk about here, but I couldn't seem to find a way to ask this in a general Asia forum. Coming from a place where weed is legal I was wondering about the best place in Asia to monger and get good weed one is as important as the other to me and it has been hard to find a decent answer. First If I offend anyone I apologize if there is a better place to ask please let me know I just want to have a good time. Again I don't want any contacts just want to know where is a relaxed place.

Hello guys, girls!

As a former Pattaya tourist I wonder if Cambodia really is better and cheaper.

So I kinda want to know if you can get the same options comparing to Pattaya in Phnom Phen.

Or is t really better as what people say.

All do I read some internet site about Phnom Phen I rather.

Want some info from you guys.

Next year I am planning to go to Cambodia. Phnom Phen.

So I am after some information upfront and tips.

I am like many who go Phnom Phen also a sex tourist.

But more for the GFE.

My questions!

What are the current average prices off:

GoGo Girls and Bar Girls with Barfines and for.

Short time and Long time.

What are the prices for oil massage or any other massage.

What are the food and drink prices.

Or restaurants prices.

Can you expect similar experience like Pattaya or better please let me know.

Thanks upfront.

I have a question about something that might be taboo to talk about here, but I couldn't seem to find a way to ask this in a general Asia forum. Coming from a place where weed is legal I was wondering about the best place in Asia to monger and get good weed.It seems Jackson will allow this type of chat where weed is semi-legal (places where the police won't harass you), but it will be deleted if you discuss specifics in countries where it is illegal, such as Thailand.

Note: Things have changed previously, and things can change in the future. You need to be smart and scope out the scene.

There is virtually nowhere in SE Asia to get good weed for the average tourist.

Cambodia: Things have changed. There was open smoking along the riverside, but now even the Happy Pizza places will ask you to smoke across the street, even though they put weed on the pizza. It seems the Cambodian government want to keep it low-keyed. Stay away from the hard drugs, and everything should be fine. Cops shouldn't harass you for bribes, but you never know. Heard of couple of stories where cops harass you for weed, but I think story is dubious, but you never know. Caveat Emptor. You can get it from the tuk tuk transport drivers. I use the ones that hang around Happy Herb Pizza. Quality is bad. Chill places to smoke are Red Foxx (Ex-Pat bar on Street 136, joints are available, but the quality is even worst than the stuff you get on the street.) and Le Crycee (Hostess bar. Owner said the bar is "protected". You are allowed to smoke weed there). P4P is easy - maybe this is the best country to chill with weed and P4P in SE Asia. But weed quality is lacking.

Vietnam: Depends on the area. District 1 Saigon allows open smoking. Check corner of De Tam and Bui Vien (Backpacker Central). Girls that sell cigarettes have it. Quality is horrible. P4P is difficult for newbie tourist. Read the forum for info.

Laos: In the old days, drugs were rampant. Now the government cracked down, even in Vang Vieng. I heard that police from Vientiane come to Vang Vieng to bust backpackers for bribes. Some bars advertise drugs on their menu. Those places are protected. Heard stories where cops bust people taking joints away from those bars. Laos is no longer weed friendly, but it is available and safe if you are smart. P4P is worst out of these 4 countries, but it is available if you read and look around.

Thailand: Illegal. It is jail time if the cop doesn't accept bribes. Heard stories where seller has cop friend, and he bust you for brides. There are many stories where the cops will have roadblocks, and they bust idiot backpackers who carry it with them. But of course, Thailand is one of best places in the world for P4P.

And if you know a good rental agency to.The Riverside is a nice area. It's the tourist area with hotels, bars, restaurants and hostess bars. As you go up the riverside, you will see apartments (with riverside view) being advertised on the balcony. Also, there are some real estate offices along the riverside that will have apartments listed for sale and rent.

If I'm there for a few months, I would consider the Cadillac Bar and Grill. http://cadillaccambodia.com/.

That American leases or owns the bar and the apartments on top of it.

The apartments has a riverside view. The apartments on the second and top floor are more expensive. It's fully furnished.

It seems safe. It has a good location. It's located on the riverside near the corner of Street 136. There is no security, but IMO, it's very safe. You enter the units from the back located on Street 136. The stairs are somewhat dark, but Street 136 is crowded, and it should be safe.

I can't remember if it has a full kitchen. You get discounts if you sign a 6 month or year lease. He also rents it out on a shorter time frame for a higher cost.

Almost all hotels in Phnom Penh are girl friendly. In fact, the reception at the hotel where I stayed asked me whether I wanted a massage. When I agreed, within 10 minutes they sent a massage girl to my room. $6. 00 for the massage and $30.00 for FS.

You just have to know in which area you want to stay. Make a list of hotels according to your budget and requirements (breakfast, swimming pool, fitness center etc). Write to the hotels directly and see the replies.

In Angeles, old bills are more acceptable. You might be able to change it there.

I have a (long lost) friend who passed away. I only found out because I was thinking about SEA retirement options and I knew he had retired to Cambodia. My first net search turned up nothing. A year later I found the obituary.

He was a hard drinking man and he may have died from, you guessed it, liver failure. If any of you gents have met him, I'd be very appreciative to hear about his life in Cambodia.

Walt was in his 60's, ex-Marine (USA), had been a translator in Japan. He wasn't so outgoing, and he kept his cards close to his chest, but if got to know him you'd remember him. He was a good guy, with soft heart, but tough exterior.

Send me pm if you met him.

Some random news about PP, I think Massa is closed. On street 252, in the location where I think it was supposed to be the 2nd floor was under construction, the guys downstairs said "Massa closed" and pointed to the 2nd floor under construction. They had some kind of seedy operation on the first floor that perhaps is taking advantage of the location which they offered as an alternative, I declined to enter. It may be possible that I have a poor sense of direction and was just in the wrong place. Someone who knows what they are doing may confirm. However 252 street is pretty small. I'm not sure where else it could have been hiding.

At Nagaworld things seem to be out of control. Girls were asking for $50 as a fee just to sit and drink with you for a while. Personally I do not want to pay for such a service, or perhaps buy a couple of lady drinks at the most. I was interested in going there and chit chatting with some ladies but I don't think it's a service I want to pay $50 per girl for. One can talk to girls in bars elsewhere for free or at most a couple of lady drinks. Maybe avoid Naga altogether unless you can afford to waste money and are in the mood to do so.

The 'seedy operation' on the first floor is in fact a much cleaner, improved version of what there was before. Rooms have been repainted, new beds, sheets even washed (occasionally). The price for one hour has been increased from $6 (Six) to $7 (Seven) to reflect this. Girls still require another $25 (Twenty five) for sex or just a CIM BJ. Same girls as before.

I do wonder if anyone will read this, or pay any attention if they do.

Day 1 at Phnom Pehn 28 April.

This visit of mine was in the end of April. I chose to be there on a Weekend.

There is very little input in recent past on this form and I do not know why. I went through some reports of distinction and I must say it gave me sufficient insight into this place. So thankful for senior mongers for their contribution.

To start with I stayed at Hotel De Arts, which is right opposite the Night Market and in the heart of RLD. Its a decent hotel and I liked its bathroom which does not have a door but covered by big glass. You can enjoy bath with the girl together or just watch her taking bath! I recommend the hotel and it is absolutely girl friendly. No questions asked.

I surveyed the Streets 136 and 130 and found that most action is in these streets. These are dotted with several bars with girls hanging around. I visited many bars like Glamours. Moon Rose, Erotic Bar before picking my first girl of the night from Erotic Bar. She said she is 25 years and I had no reason not to believe her. She had excellent tits and ass and she quoted $ 40 plus $ 10 as bar fine. I tried negotiating but realised that prices have gone up as she was not willing to come down. I agreed and took her to hotel. After bath, had multiple sessions and she was one of the hottest girls I ever had. She did not refuse any of my desires including DFK and DATY and I would say I had a wonderful session with her.

Day one at Phnom Pehn: second part.

After a wonderful session, I went back to Street 136 and entered into Candy Bar. Be warned this is predominantly lady bar and needless to say I left in a couple of minutes the moment I realised.

I next went to Street 130 and among others visited Cherie's, Barbados and a couple of others. Had multiple beers before zeroing on a girl of my choice. I cannot now remember from which bar I picked up this girl but it was a quite strange experience to me. She was a beautiful young girl about 23 years. She was on the dias dancing with couple of other girls. I called her and she gladly came to me. I introduced myself though girls do that all the time first. She smiled and did not tell her name. Then, I asked her whether she would like to have a drink and I ordered a beer for her after she shook her head when I asked if she would have the same. Then, I told her I would like to take her to my hotel. Again she smiled and shook her head. I was wondering why she is not uttering a single word.

Then, a lady, who was no doubt much senior in her early 40's told me that the girl is, indeed, happy to go with me but she is dumb. I was wondering what to do. But the girl made it up by holding my hand and smiling and showing her readiness to please me. I asked her how much and she showed four finger which was obvious that she wanted $ 40. I said I would pay $ 30 and she readily agreed. So I took her after paying $ 10 as bar fine.

I must say, I was extremely pleased with her in various positions. It appeared as though I may not cum, but girl would not have anything of it and she obviously wanted to make me happy. That was so good of her and eventually, I came in happily. Very memorable experience. Wondered sex hardly requires talking!

Day one at Phnom Pehn: third part.

The night was still young when I finished my second girl. I had started the evening at 7 PM and it was only 1 AM in the morning. Life looked bright in almost all bars. There were very few men compared to the number of girls in each bar and I could not understand why it was so given that it was a weekend. However, it was good in a way for me, as I received the most attention in every bar I visited. Not that you find beauties in all bars. In fact, you would rarely. So my hunt continued while having beer in bars.

I visited a bar, which I cannot recollect, at around 2 AM and found some 7 or 8 girls. One of them while not being a beauty nevertheless was attractive. Normally, I would not have considered her but she was very good in English and we had nice conversation. I had to offer her drink at first at her request but that continued unabated, till I was over drunk, I must say and so was she. I finally decided to take her to room.

I was amazed after bath on the bed with her with skills. She was very good in BBBJ and I was rock hard. I slowly started fucking her in different position and after DATY finished in doggy.

That was a superb and I tipped the girl $ 10. I had paid her earlier $ 40 plus $ 10 as bar fine. She was happy and bid me good night. It was in fact, good morning, as the time was already 5 AM!

There is literally nothing to do in the morning or afternoon at this place. So, I went for sightseeing Palace etc, just to see the heritage of Cambodia. Nothing great to write home at least on this forum.

I had couple of beers in the evening before again setting out to street 130 and 136. As it was early, I thought there may not be many girls. On the contrary places were filled with girls eagerly waiting for customers to come in.

I zeroed on a girl, who said she is 30 years. After a couple of drinks with her took to room. Lackluster BBBJ and sex. Nothing to write much. Costed $ 40 plus $ 10.

I went back again to street 136 . After visiting several bars, found a beautiful girl, who was 25. Well endowed with tits and ass, I found her very sexy. After a few drinks. Took her to room. Nice BBBJ and sex in different positions. Ended in missionary. Fully satisfied. I had paid her $ 40 plus $ 10, tipped $ 10.

Day three at Phnom Pehn 30 April.

Woke up late in the morning, as there was nothing else to do! Had a couple of beers in the afternoon before lunch.

Left for Street 136 again in the evening at 7 PM. I would say that there were fewer girls than in the past two days. Initial visits were waste as I could not pick up any girl of my choice. Girls in some bars appeared to be disinterested. Spent next one and half hours having beer. Then, when I went to Pussy Cat bar. As luck would have it, found a sexy girl who was smiling at me. Called her to join for a drink. After chatting for sometime, took her to room. We had bath together. She was lovely with a nice curvy body, nice boobs and ass and I reckon she was about 26 years, though she said she was 22 years.

After a lot of DFK, I went for DATY. Excellent. She did an excellent BJ and later had no objection for my demands in different positions. I wanted to CIM and she readily agreed. So, after a fantastic BJ, I came out in her mouth. Paid $ 50 plus. I had paid $ 10 as bar fine earlier.

Yes it is nice but rooms are very small and nothing special. Prefer bigger rooms these days and not as many stares from western expats when you are cuddling your date around the pool. Try Okay Hotel as it has a good pool, nice size rooms and is GF. No issues there and close to action.

Happy Hunting.Thank you for the info. Will definitely look into Okay Hotel.
