Just like the TIME Magazine „quote,“ this Newsweek article is badly timed and badly written. You can feel the frustration of the writer: Here they are ready to entertain the readers with lurid stories about sex and the Olympics, just to find out that there is nothing to write about, because nothing is left: Beijing has been scrubbed clean, and it took TIME and Newsweek months to realize it.

Actually, the Newsweek story is written as if Maggie’s is still open. One has to read through two thirds of verbiage to come to the same conclusion as the writer when he filed the crap: “Oh my God. Maggie’s is closed! ”

For someone who supposedly has a business in the neighborhood, the writer is badly informed. All the stuff in the story is warmed-over old rumors, research by Google.

“Police detained Maggie’s managers and legal representatives for questioning, the official said. He did not say what if any charges or other consequences came of it.” That’s it? The Newsweek reporter should hand in his union card because of sloppy research: Ron & Gary were not just “detained for questioning.” They were sentenced to one year in jail, and that’s where they rot now.

Come on, get real: An alleged lap dance makes it into print, Maggie’s management in the slammer for one year doesn’t?

Maggies management in jail - this is more serious than I originally thought. Its sounding like the passion bar all over again. Several years ago the manager was thrown in jail for either 1 or 2 years and the passion bar was closed for about 2 years until new owners too over. My friends indicated once you lose your contacts - its hard to start up again. I wonder if this will mean maggies will remain closed for more than the Olympic duration. I also expect the same happened at Hollywood - Beijing may be clean for longer than I originally expected.

Doe anyone know if Holly's near Ritan Park still open? From what I read as of two months ago it was still in operation. I'll be a little surprised if it's still opened just before the Olympics. I would NOT adventure to Holly's or Hard Rock or any other place anytime soon if they are open for business.

Heard on the world news today security were stopping cars/buses entering Beijing causing a big mess. People were waiting hours getting into Beijing.

Hollywood is closed and has been since just after the earthquake. It closed for part of a week along with lots of other bars as a mark of respect after the disaster. It opened after that, but basically there were no girls - apart from the fake koreans. It then closed down again - not sure if the police closed it down or if there were simply no girls and thus no customers and why not close for the duration. I hope the latter otherwise it may be closed for longer than I originally expected. My advice is to go to Vladivostok - its a rought town, but has many russian girls. At a press conference on July 23, Liu Shaowu, director of the security department of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, said that demonstrations would be allowed at three parks in Beijing, one of them Ritan Park. The official said that demonstrators would have to file permits.

This leaves two possibilities:

1.) The alleged cafe the alleged writer of the alleged Newsweek article allegedly operates in Ritan Park now can officially be picketed (as long as permits are in order.)

2.) The closure of Maggie's, which rested at the South Gate of Ritan Park (and now rests in peace) was in preparation for the peaceful exercise of freedom of expression, as was the closure of Hollywood (also located across from the park.) The intent was to not distract peaceful protestors from their peaceful protests.

(Above - except for paragraph one, which is a fact - written with tongue firmly in cheek - in lieu of better places. However, the Newsweek article contains even more harebrained conspiracy theories than possibility #2.)

Hi Friends,I'll visit UB beginning of August for a couple of days to escape the prudish Olympics.
Can anybody reccommend a hotel or warn me of any caveats.
I actually made the mistake of going to UB about 3 or 4 years ago.

My theory was that if Mongolian girls in Maggies were costing US100 then surely at home on the ground must be much cheaper.

WRONG - only place I found first day with working girls available was 'White House Hotel' and ALL wanted US100 for far less quality than Maggies.

Strip bar known as Marco Polo above the Italian restaurant had some absolute STUNNERS in there but I was unable to negotiate one out first night.

I stayed at Bayongol Hotel - a recomendation from a Canadian guy I got to know - VERY basic 3 to 4 star - was told to avoid Chingis Khan at all costs as security guards just absolute thieves.

There is also a restaurant / bar under Bayongol Hotel which has / had w.h.o.r.e.s working there each night.

After 1 day into a 4 day I stay I went and changed my flight and went straight back to Beijing and spent rest of time there.

Will Billy EVER go back to UB again - I doubt it.

BEIJING (AFP) — Like countless other Beijing prostitutes, "Kelly" had viewed the Olympic rings as akin to dollar signs, expecting a big pay-day as the city shifts into party mode for the Games.

But those dreams are in doubt now thanks to a police offensive aimed at preventing the city's rollicking sex industry from tarnishing the Games.

"The police are suddenly much more formidable now. We have to be very careful," the waif-like 23-year-old said, stirring a watered-down drink in a dim bar frequented by sex workers but notably empty on a recent Saturday night.

The crackdown has closed up many of the most notorious bars and other prostitution centres.

Kelly, who hails from nearby Hebei province and declined to give her Chinese name, said many of her fellow sex workers had recently been thrown in jail before being sent back to their home provinces.

"We have to be careful. If I get thrown out of Beijing, I won't be able to get back in because police are putting up roadblocks into Beijing," said Kelly, who formerly prowled hotel lobbies but was chased out by management.

The crackdown is part of a hurried makeover aimed at sweeping the city's less savoury elements under the rug, at least until the August 8-24 Games conclude, and which has seen campaigns against drug offenders and even spitting and queue-jumping by the general public.

Tighter controls and more frequent checks on the visas of foreigners -- apparently aimed at preventing security threats to the Games -- have also cleared out the many prostitutes from neighbouring Mongolia and Russia, Kelly said.

"We are closed for fire inspection. Come back after the Olympics," said a man who answered the phone at Maggie's, a bar in the city's embassy district normally filled nightly with freelancing Mongolian hookers.

Its front door has been padlocked for about three months for the "fire inspection".

Basically stamped out during the puritanical Mao Zedong era, prostitution flourishes in today's more open China, with estimates of the country's sex workers ranging as high as 10 million or more.

Sex workers ply their trade with virtual impunity in bars, massage spas, karaoke parlours and the "barber shops" that are found in many Beijing back alleys and which have nothing to do with haircuts.

Male travellers typically receive phone calls shortly after checking into Chinese hotel rooms, asking whether they want a girl sent up.

Periodic anti-prostitution campaigns have been launched but nothing like the capital's current operation, say observers.

"The city is in big clean-up mode," said a posting last month on the website Internationalsexguide.info, which bills itself as "The Internet's Largest Sex Travel forum" and features graphic, member-submitted updates on where to buy sex.

"All the known (prostitution) spots are being targeted and raided constantly. Many have closed," it said.

As I stated in my earlier report, I have been to Beijing 3 times in the last 16 months. I always make a point of going shopping at Silk Street Market (hereafter SSM). I frequently go with a local friend so I don't get ripped off. Also I'm never in a rush to buy so I shop for the best prices. I feel SSM is a lot like mongering in that the price must be what you want to pay or be ready to walk.

After one year form the first Beijing experience, three weeks ago I landed again at capital airport. Since the first hours I founded a different city from the one I leaved last year.

So I’ve been to many places (spas and massage centres) searching for FS but nobody provided it.

I tried to call one number of one girl providing FS at her place, I "booked" for one evening. Yes, cleaner, less beggars, less DVD sellers with their carton boxes on flyovers. I have mixed feeelings about the scam girls in Wangfujing. They were always good for a laugh and a good story to tell (as long as you really didn't go with them for the rip-off).

You have to calculate the management fees and price to get maid to clean up after use tho. So, about 1800 per month.

The main issue is that you are registered at all. I myself rented recently a second apartment for a couple of months and kept the first one, where I am registered. Therefore I didn't register again. The landlord will not report to the police when there is a tenant change and the Chinese never register as far as I know. Just keep a low profile that the neighbours do not call the police.
I rented a studio type apartment and would not do this again. One with a separated bedroom is better to have at least 2 doors between you and the outside world.
Buildings with a mixture of office and resident tenants are the best. There is usually sufficient security provided, but at all times people are coming and going. Nobody will bother what you are doing there.

Have to say that despite the very obvious clamp down in Beijing there are still quite a number of SW operating. Between Guomao and the Silk Market seems to be busiest.

Met quite a few on Sunday night. All seemed quite nice. I know this is not always the case.

Try explaining this to the police when the come knocking at your door, asking for registrations of all in the apartment. It has happened to many, laowei and Chinese alike.

This activity is likely to subside once the games are over and fun will slowly return to BJ.

The recommendation of "mixed use" places is a good one, less LE activity there. However, mixed use places cost more.

In general, I'd wait until after the Olympics, if ony because rents will plummet. They already are beginning to.

I recommand the folowing Modus Operandi in order to get the standard price for these girls (800 ST for FS + taxi 50 RMB if you live in city center):

More & more credible rumors are coming in that M's will (might, could possibly ...) reopen. Word on the street is that the time will be October, after the holidays and conventions. According to lore, word has come down from the OWNER of M's ( the same who owns Bar 1, Swing, and sundry other places in BJ) that it will be time to get M's going again. Gary & Rob are expected to be released from the pokey at around the same time.

As mentioned before, it could be wishful thinking, or just the usual BJ rumors. But the usually well informed and reliable sources are pretty sure that it will, or at least might, happen this time. Nothing is known regarding the format of the venture.

If you want an apartment like the locals have - squat toilet and shower in same area and one bare bulb in bathroom - prices are below 2k within 2nd ring south. Since it's not a living pad, just a shagging one, this would be the ideal arrangement.

3.5k would get you a very very nice, large, western-style two-bed in any Chinese area out to the third ring round.

Start going near foreigners, or being foreign and trying to rent and you will end up paying more.

Senu is right. If you want an apartment like the locals have - squat toilet and shower in same area and one bare bulb in bathroom - prices are below 2k within 2nd ring south. Since it's not a living pad, just a shagging one, this would be the ideal arrangement.

3.5k would get you a very very nice, large, western-style two-bed in any Chinese area out to the third ring round.

Start going near foreigners, or being foreign and trying to rent and you will end up paying more.

Maybe we should go the other end of the spectrum - a true party pad with a large living area and a couple of bed rooms. We put in a bar and a pool table where the dining room table should be. Monthly membership gets you access to the "lounge" and the privilege to reserve one of the bedrooms. We form a shell company creating a “private club” that can issue fa piao so when brothers from out of town visit they can stay in the apartment and then turn in the expenses for reimbursement. Make it the first ISG "bed and breakfast". Call it the “International Social Gentlemen’s Club”. By utilizing a "mix use" building we can explain why people are always coming and going. Or we can find a location on the outskirts of town away from the prying eyes of the locals. I am certain that such establishments exist for our Chinese brothers, so why not create one for ourselves? A safe place for us to meet and bring our lady friends. To be honest, I have been thinking of establishing some type of “club house” like this for some time. The question is – would you pay a membership fee of 500 to 1000 RMB per month to have access to such a place? I would set it up to just break even, so the monthly “dues” would depend on the number of members. We can take this discussion off the Beijing board, but does anyone think such an establishment would fly in Beijing?

To any of you who know me I only post when I have something positive to contribute. My time in Beijing is coming to an end. I am one who was here to work the games and am genuinely sorry to see it end. I know the Olympics fucked up the P4P scene in Beijing and I was as sorry as anyone to see Maggies and the pig shuttered by force. I had dinner tonight at the German restaurant half a block from Maggies gate tonight and walked by the front gate just to remember the fine times I had inside between January and the middle of March. I also contiued on to the Pig and Thistle for a beer to remember for me where my Beijing adventures began back in January. Much to my amazement there were two fine Mongolian hookers sitting at the bar talking about the possible reopening of Maggies with the bartenders at the Pig. Everyone in the discussion admits this is all pure speculation and only the owners and the government have the slightest clue what is actually going to happen. As I left the Pig and Thistle with 2 new phone numbers in my phone I can only say the the garden of pussy in Beijing is going to bloom again. There is to much to gain and nothing to lose for those that pull the strings in Beijing. The press and the Athletes will soon be in China's long list of historic events. And with any luck those who ran Maggies so well will be let out of the cells they are in and life in the Capital of China can get back to it's own sexy self. But know this fellow mongers I heard a bartender at the the Pig and Thistle tell a Mongolian girl TONIGHT that business should be back to pre Olympic status in two weeks time. Take that for what it is worth only hearsay from a bartender but those were encouraging words to my ears and that and the 2 new phone numbers were enough to inspire this post. Best of luck brothers. I currently live and work in Bangkok but my company wants to send me to Beijing for 3 years...please could anyone let me know how the mongering compares in Beijing to Bangkok. Also I am very very scared about the Beijing winters..are they bad or is it doable? The winter here isn't that bad (not saying I like it), it is usualy around minus 10-15 C, 2007 was warm, they say 2008 will be really cold. Bearable, not alot of snow, and very dry.

As for FWB or freebies, I would say China is the easiest place to get ONS, to me at least, knowing the local language helps, and being a caucasian helps as well. Refer to Eaglestar's post at the photo galery if you want more detail.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many guys consider visits to Shanghai (and other cities) saunas are such good value.

To me they are WAY OVERPRICED and the quality of experience is WAY INFERIOR to that which I can enjoy with the Mongolian 'sisters' in Beijing.

The point I am getting at - IMHO - is that the 'tired, overpriced, lazy' Mongolian girls from Maggies are indeed FAR BETTER VALUE than you will ever get from a sauna / massage centre.

And then when you take into consideration the LEVEL OF SERVICE afforded by the 'sisters' just SLAUGHTERS anything you will EVER experience in a sauna / massage centre.

I also get to operate in my own 5 star hotel room - way better than the dingy / dodgy little rooms in massage centres - albeit that my hotel room cannot provide the 'red rope' experience.

This is NOT a flame aimed at our Shanghai brothers or at any individual at all - this is TOTALLY Billy's HUMBLE OPINION.

I have been to Maggie and Shanghai hotel sauna this year , there are no middle man at maggie it should be cheaper and better vaule than in Shangahai sauna the girl there only get half of the 700 rmb .

If you go to the sauna in southern china like shenzhen and Zhu hai where you can get service for 300 rmb 2 shots and 90 min but no mongolian there.

You know Beijing better than I do, but I doubt the powers that be would let something like this be done by laowais.

I do know a few local and HK guys in Guangdong that have these sort of party pads set-up, but they have made substantial manufacturing investments in the small towns that they are located. LE just close their eyes for the benefit of the community. In fact, you often see LE and other government boys hanging out there, as well.

IMHO, Beijing is a different story and foreigners are just too high profile. If there is any trouble, it cannot just be swept under the rug. It becomes an international incident.

I would just keep it small, shared among a few guys, and leave it at that. For more advise, ask the Shanghai gang. I remember they did this in Shanghai for awhile.

I used to get a lot of PMs from newbies. Not so many now because I stopped replying and I guess I got a reputation from my RTFF posts.

I can remember a few times that I arranged to hook-up via PM and set the time aside. The guys never showed up or even called.

My theory is that a newbie is afraid that he will arrive in China and not be able to get laid. If he finds his way, he just blows you off. People can be selfish like that.

Some folks reported sauna at Tian Lun Dynasty Hotel a while ago. I had been there in the beginning of this year. (Sorry for the late report... I have recently reviewing some of my tourism pics and remembered my experience in Tian Lun)

Tian Lun Dynasty Hotel ( 天伦王朝饭店 ) is near Grand Hyatt. The basement has a KTV (night-club) and a sauna. I went to the sauna, and I asked the guy in the counter about massage. He quoted me 800RMB massage with VIP room and 1600RMB for FS. (I was talking to him in English, and his English is pretty bad. He was afraid that I did not understand him.. He even wrote down "Sex 1600" on a piece of paper.)

I picked the 1600RMB for FS... The VIP room is well-equipped (with two small bed, shower, sauna-room, bathroom) but not as clean as I would like.. (e.g., seeing some hair on the bath tub....) He brought 3 girls to me.. I chose the young one (21 years old) and with 7-face, 4-body (A-cup..). We went to the bath together, and she was trying to perform BBBJ while we were both soaking inside the bath.. I asked her not to since I like covered BJ/FS.

After the bath, we moved to bed (small one) and I asked her to perform Fire&Ice (using my limited Chinese). She told me she does not know. Several months ago, before Maggie's got shut down, I grew tired of them always padding my bar bill with extra drinks. In addition, I really did not like all of the "tourists" who came to Maggie's to watch the "Mongolian girls and German businessman" as has been reported in too many tourist books and websites. I started toying with the idea of either finding an alternative location (as I posted on this board), or even opening my own bar. When Maggie's got shut down I decided it would be best to wait until after the Olympics before I did anything.

For a bar to stay open it has to at least make enough money to break even, requiring a lot of customers. This draws attention. The last thing I want is the attention of the authorities, so I decided to shift the focus from a bar open to the public to a private club. The goal would be not to make any money, but just cover expenses by charging a membership fee.

The venue would be a Lounge/Bar area with a pool table where people can sit, relax, and chat. Something similar to Maggie’s when they were undergoing their renovation, or the layout of Bar One. The bar would serve drinks and snacks, but at breakeven prices. A minimum of 2 discreet hotel style bedrooms will be adjecent to the club house, each with it's own adjoining bathroom. These rooms would be available by the day or by the hour. The club would employ a manager to oversee operations, and some type of housekeeping staff to keep the lounge area and bedrooms clean. Due to the nature of our hobby I would plan for the staff to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since common labor costs are so low in China this should not be a problem. We could consider hiring "KTV" style girls as wait staff to just hang out and chat, with the understanding that they would provide services on-site.

The club would be open to members only, and would involve an initial fee, as well as monthly dues. Membership would be by referral only, with a target of individuals wanting to appreciate the finer things – not those looking for rock bottom prices. It will be open to all nationalities. Detailed rules would be established that all members must agree to in order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.

We might want to hire some type of bouncer to man the door and help out the staff should some type of dispute arise. We would of course allow pre-approved female guests to visit our club as they like. This could include girls from Mongolia, Russia, or Chinese. At a minimum they would need to be vouched for by a member of the club.

I am putting together a budget/business plan and see if I can get enough interest to make a go of it. I am currently looking for a venue somewhere outside the 5th ring road. While a location outside the city center would be less convenient, it would also be less conspicuous. The rent would also be cheaper. I have someone selected who has managed a bar in the past and is willing to function as manager. Nothing is set in stone, but I thought it would be an interesting exercise to at least run the numbers. The possibilities are endless.

For it to work I will probably need around 10 regular members. I would of course make provisions for those who would like to utilize the facility but do not live in Beijing. One of my favorite places in Beijing is open again, Regency Massage, on Maizidian Street (just beyond Durty Nellie's Irish Bar, on the left after passing the curve). Okay, maybe they weren't closed that long.- the massage girl said that they were only closed for one month for "renovations" during the Olympics. But, I hadn't passed by that way in a while, and was glad to see that they are in business.

Regency is admittedly not the cheapest place to go, but has a lot of things going for it. The going rate is 1, 100 RMB for a FS massage, and while I didn't check my watch, it must have been about 1-1. 5 hours. Here's what I like:

-> The facilities are pleasant and clean
-> The massage girls are pretty and personable (in my experience so far)
-> The girls actually know how to give a decent massage, before moving on to the "main course"
-> The shower room is clean, and unlike that former sauna on Chunxiu (now closed), the attendants don't try to sell you expensive pajamas.
-> I personally hate bringing WGs home, so I find it a much more comfortable experience to go somewhere else

One caution I have is that I don't think many of the girls speak any English. At least the girl I was with said she could not speak English, but my Chinese is decent enough, so no problems for me. They seem to get a number of laowai, so I don't think it's much of an issue for non-English speakers to go there unlike more "Chinese" spas.

After walking down the steps and entering the lobby, I was immediately guided down to the shower room. First, I asked the woman at the front desk the going rate, which was about what I remember from last time (7-8 months ago). In the past, I've been offered the VIP room, but not this time. You are led into the shower room, given the standard pajamas, and then led into one of the many massage rooms.

A massage girl arrived, who was young and pretty and seemed very friendly. There is no "line up", and I suppose that you could ask for someone else if you like, but I've never done that. We started chatting (in Chinese), and began a regular, traditional Chinese massage. I really like how there is a real massage up front, which I find very relaxing. After about 20-30 minutes, she left to go get her "kit". Off come the shorts, and she continued with a real nice massage, leading to the cat bath and AR. This girl (#58) had a real nice touch, giving lots of attention all over.

She asked me to flip over, and began BBBJ. She was a good actress, seemed really into it, and gave me lots of looks. There was also some 69 before she started cowgirl and then missionary. Generally speaking, you cannot compare Mongolians with Chinese girls on a service level. I have had my share of Mongolian duds but the percentage of GFE is much higher. That said, something should be said about communication. Without the language barrier, you can talk your way into a better session sometimes. Even with my limited Chinese skills, I can sometimes warm up a Chinese girl into GFE if I try. IMHO, the problem is that there is a higher percentage of "in a hurry" among Chinese girls, especially when you are doing them ST. Just a more commercial mentality, I reckon. This is why I monger in the low end most of the time. If I get a dud, I just take another one and don't feel so bad about the time and money wasted.

The reason why I haven't reported about my trip to UB is, because there is not much to report about. I went there to visit 'my' Mongolian and as usual she took such good care of me that there was absolutely nothing left for any other woman.

However, it was 'interesting' to see the environment she and her 'friends' come from. Guys, these girls live in absolute poverty. I stayed at a hotel with her, but one day she took me home where she is raising 5 younger brothers and sisters (parents dead). It is an average neighborhood in UB, but where I come from they would call it 'slums'. She is leading a stict regime there and pinching every penny she is making/made in Beijing. I felt so ashamed about myself that I bargained her down from 1500 to 1200 the first time I met her, because 300 means so much to her/them, but not much to me.I blew the same amont just on drinks that night. Recently she even asks me for my worn out clothes for her brothers.

If I ever will take a Mongol home from M's (if it ever opens again and if nobody is waiting for me at home) I will happily pay double the price quoted and record it under donation, charity or foreign aid. Maybe as 'Charity with a happy end'.

Lessons learned: First, fuck Mongolian working girls as often as possible, because they really need the money.
Second, don't be stingy, because they really need every penny.

one day she took me home where she is raising 5 younger brothers and sisters (parents dead). It is an average neighborhood in UB, but where I come from they would call it 'slums'. She is leading a stict regime there and pinching every penny she is making/made in Beijing. Besides special "events" (mongolian sisters watching Olympics.) nothing special there, nothing to be too enthusiastic about. Maybe a hand full of girls, not very offensive and I prefered to stay in the defense too, just having a drink. The real stunners (Russian? ) were accompanied by their (wannabe? ) BF, anyway they were no WGs. Was there on weekend and weekday shortly after midnight, sometimes during the last three weeks.

Google maps recently found out that Beijing consists of a little bit more than only 2 highways. Even other big cities in CN are now covered. I never use public transportation, but the new lines should be up to date. Might be better than a scan.

yeah, yeah, okay ... sorry, i know. i have not even logged on for weeks now - the olympics just had me enthralled so much (yawn!).

anyhow, i will try to catch up:

the big news first: the bell of my bike broke. i now use a horn. you can view the new beast of burden every friday after 18:30 at the national war museum (west changanjie).

admission: 10 rmb.

when still living east of chaoyang park i once rode over to the 2nd foreign language university and came by a string of massage places. can't find the road anymore on my map though. anyhow - these were about 8 shops in a row, i was tired and a bit sore from riding so i opted for a legit massage. inside they had a menu mentioning all the other options (thai, japanese, suction cups). the most expensive one was for 88 rmb and was flanked by pictures like one usually finds them on packs of condoms.

inquiry confirmed my suspicion that this would be the local price of a hj: 88 rmb. did not order one, but still thought i let you know.

zhangzizhong - does the dalai lama know?

just before august came around (the national month of no fun according to the chinese lunar calendar) i spotted a to me hence unknown bbs area from atop my flying pigeon. i was on my way back from the lama temple going south.

the shops were again rep001tered along a few hutongs, all in all maybe 8 or so. the general area would be the block framed by dongzhimen neidajie ¶«ö±ãåäú´ó½ö dongzhimen nanxiaojie ¶«ö±ãåäïð¡½ö dongsishi beidajie ¶«ëäêç±±´ó½ö and dongsishitiao ¶«ëäê®ìõ . a few really cheeky shops actually dare to reside right at dongzhemennan xiaojie - that's how the whole are came to my attention to begin with. all others i only spotted when moving down the hutongs properly. in general they are more located towards the south of that block. the closest subway station would be zhangzizhong õå×ôöò of line 5.

as by that time i already had miss jin as a very solid provider of decent service i only paid a passing interest. got quoted in the range of up to 150 for hj and often a "no" when asking for other service. as my survey was conducted just a few days before the shops took their olympic vacation it could have been that so close before august just no one wanted to risk anything on the very last days.

end of july i met up with irving and taiwanguy who had inquired about miss jin. you can read irving's report about her here, so we finally get a second opinion besides mine.

what irving did not mention - we had to kill a bit time so we went to have lunch near another bbs area i had noticed before. i refer to the guandongdian beijie shops in this report here. taiwanguy keenly observed that there is actually a subway station right across from the shops: hujialou ºô¼òâ¥ of line 10. which is why i decree from now on these shops shall be called the hujialou shops - a most persistent batch of shops as i found out (see below).

the other thing we found out: those shops are not interesting at all around lunchtime. few girls on site as yet, really not the best time to show up. it may have been because of the impeding olympics, but all in all the display was not so great. very different story when i checked again today.

miss jin "not fazed by the olympics" says isg!

so pretty soon after that panel we had august then and pretty much all shops closed up as i reported briefly here. a temporary measure as it seems, most just kept the curtains down, the doors locked and went on vacation as it seems. into a few different business moved in but most seem to just wait things out.

miss jin again proving to be the exception. if not in the mood to chase freebie or when i just like it ultra-convenient i rely on her exclusively these days. less so than initially, as time mounts up so do freebies, but i still drop by once in a while. her basic facts remain the same:

location: not too far from chaoyangmen subway station
price: 200 rmb (st)
services: cbj, fs, roleplay, verbal abuse (all in good humour)
attitude: very, very hassle free and friendly
drawback: only mandarin
looks: youthful, cute & kind sums it up best

she does score extra in my book for not throwing the towel and keeping her business running all thru the games. and am always again very pleased by how she handles roleplays. we ran a few sequels to the initial scenario but when asked for an alternative idea she came up with a few suggestions.

all in all can still recommend her, directions to her from me via pm - but only with a double digit number of posts, preferably a few dating back before the olympics. i promise i will log on more regularly.

beijing recovers from over-reported sport event of some kind

shops now seem to reopen again slowly, very dependent on the area they are in.

the ones at hujialou station were the last to close (a few days after irving, taiwanguy and i had a look) and are the first ones back into the game again. i just passed by (i got off my bike to observe properly) and six shops were open again each with about three girls. a very different picture from what irving, taiwanguy and i saw at noon a month ago. the only concession to the lympic paranoya: they switched off the neon lights.

also in the area of the old eight alleys (area 3 in this report) shops begin to reopen but slower and a bit shy. windows often still with curtains, door only half open and a bit more discreet than usual. and more than half the shops are still closed.

the zhangzizhong area hutongs remains closed. that area in general is neater than eight alleys and that may causes a bit of a delay for recovery.

the airport train

can somebody get hold of an english map of the new fast train system from airport to downtown and scan it and post it?
it stops once at sanyuan qiao and once at dongzhimen subway station. you will find at least dongzhimen even on pretty old tourist maps. i leave the whole scanning and uploading process to you from here.

important: please do not assume that just because that line connects to the airport that there are any elevators or escalators at the dongzhimen station. there are not. i asked what idiot planned that thing and the attendant there replied "i thought exactly the very same thing the first day i came here to work."

my suggestion if you have much luggage: take the bus.

these were the latest news from beijing. the winner of the olympic games was miss jin with gold (uninterrupted performance) followed by the hujialou shops with silver (last out, first back) and the eight alley hutongs with bronze (tradition alone only will get you so far).

IMHO the Chinese w.h.o.r.e.s are the laziest, sneakiest, poorest providors I have had.................ANYWHERE.I tend to agree. My experiences with 2 Chinese girls has been pretty disappointing. They tend to charge you twice the price and do half the work. There is one exception, one of my regulars (an older Chinese woman) has 3 girl friends and sessions with her and one of her girlfriends tend to be spot on. A really good experience.

Generally the younger Chinese providers are just in it to make cash quickly and so don't provide a service. I have found older Chinese girls (late 30's and early 40's) are much better and more willing to spend the time to provide a great service. IMHO

There are always many hot girls at Suzie Wong's, but I have been told by a member of the staff that a majority of these girls are hired by the bar, similar to the hostesses at Maggie's. The only difference is that at Maggie's you know what girls are hostesses - at Suzie Wong's they pass themselves off as regular customers. You buy them drinks and think you are going to get lucky, but at the end of the evening they make up some excuse not to go with you.

The key right now is that girls can be found, but they do not stay in one place for any long period of time. They circulate as to not draw attention, and never gather in groups of more than 2 or 3. Talk all over town is that things will return to normal once the Paralympics is complete. With the Closing Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, Saturday the 20th may be a good time to make the rounds and see if things are improving.

Gents I am here tonight to say when our bicycle monger reports on action he finds by pedaling around Beijing smart mongers will listen and heed the advice. I did just that after work today and my knees are still shaking from the results. I got home early today and was hoping to find that my trouble accessing this site from China yesterday had disappeared and it had. I read all the new Beijing reports as usual just to stay on top of what has become my adopted hometown for the last 10 months. I came across the report filed by Andreas and could not believe I could take the subway to find cheap pussy so I decided to test the theory. I followed the simple directions and found the "hood" that Andreas described in less than ten minutes from the top of the subway stairs. I just walked around checking out activity, looking for the neighborhood watch dogs, and the police presence, and anything else that can spoil the fun and was very happy to find that I was the only foreigner in sight.
The shops were empty due in part to the rain so I knew that bargining for my price would be easy and it was. The first shop I entered had five girls anyone of which I would have fucked on the front steps to a church at home if that was the only place she would let me have her. I choose the tall one with the beautiful rack but she was not going to go for my price. She sent in a little version of herself with a very impressive rack and we sealed the deal. Continuing in the vein of Andreas and Chef, my personal experience in the hujialou area has been mixed. I'm pretty new to China but I've been doing my best to RTFF.

The first time I biked through the area on my way home from work was back before the olympics and in even though I can barely speak a word of mandarin, I was able to get across what I was looking for and had what was for me a good experience though evidently I paid too much (300).

Since the beginning of August though I've had much less success, even returning to that same BBS. I think it's a combination of me not being so good at asking for what I want and the fact that it was August. In any case, I found only HJ in a variety of those BBS. Given Chef's report I think this may be more a failure on my part.

I had one particularly bad experience where I started getting a breast massage from one girl but then she suddenly left and another girl came in. I was quite confused and tried (and failed, I think) to explain that I didn't want another girl, I wanted to finish what had started and wasn't going to pay twice. This however didn't really work out and I was harassed to pay twice because I had two girls, which was ridiculous. I didn't and as a result feel like everybody came away from that exchange angry.

Through the duration of the olympics I've generally had poor success in finding FS at BBS but not much trouble in getting HJ in a few places in the alleys near yabaolu in addition to hujialou.

I'm going to be leaving town for a while but hopefully when I get back after the Oct. Holiday things will have changed for the better.

Been out of action for so long, last time I tried to go around town most of the places were closed, worst of all when I tried to enter this forum I could even enter. Censorship perhaps? So I couldn't even RTFF for information. In fact I am accessing the website from Munich now. I have now heard that this website is accessable now and some places like the regency has reopened. I know a lot of people who are like me can't wait for both the Olympics/ paraolympics to end. Anyway I hope things resume soon.

I don't think so. What you describe seems pretty typical of BBS in Beijing in general, with the Nolympics only complicating matters some more.

BBS are a very mixed bag and the "handjob only" policy is very common. Even ChefType had to deal with it and sit tight as they sourced outside talent. And not every shop has outside FS talent to draw from. Just to stress it: I have about 4 or 5 reports on here about BBS - but there is only one I bothered to go into detail about and that's telling. For the next one I was really satisfied about I'd need to refer back to the year 2000 and Nongzhanguan Beilu 农展馆北路 if I recall correctly. Please don't bother, the area had been cleared up many years ago.

It is very much hit and miss. Guess why I right away asked whether ChefType collected any numbers? ;)

P.S.: Mistake in my older post.
The "small paralel street" referred to in my old post is Guangdong Beijie 广东店北街 and the big one is Chaoyang Beilu 朝阳北路. Walk either of them from Hujialou 呼家楼 station westwards and you will find shops on the left (Southern) side.

I think the combination of the rain, my own enthusiastic persuit, and some bored ladies got me a little extra performance. the first little hottie was as you described "lukewarm" I still enjoyed every thrust because she was no more than twenty and very cute. Went to Very Siam Thai Restaurant in Beijing. We knew it was located behind the Yuyang Hotel in Chao Yang, not too far from Dongzhimen train station (by taxi). Yuyang hotel is not far off the street: Dongzhimenwai Xiejie. Food was good, but not why I'm writing here.

One block before getting there there was a street with several massage shops with pink lights and a few girls sitting around in each. I tried to go back later after splitting with friends but by 2AM they were all closed up.

If anyone has a chance to check it out please post some info for us. If I go back I will definitely check it out.
