I travelled to Beijing more often than Shanghai. For living (w/o considering our hobby), I pick Beijing. IMO, Beijing's folks are more friendly and they are more passionate. Beijing's folks are more on to "money". I need to put up my "guard" much higher in Shanghai to avoid people getting advantages from me. Beijing weather is fine for me since I have been living in East-coast Canada for many years. Beijing winter is relatively mild compared to Canada's.

For mongering, Shanghai is definitely much better than Beijing. In Shanghai, saunas have much higher standard than in Beijing in terms of services, girls selections, and fun-level. I am still not able to find a single Soapy massage in Beijing while there are at least several of them in Shanghai (e.g., http://www.touch-net.net/nakada/info.htm) . However, I got more b!tches-level gals in Shanghai than in Beijing. For example, for getting massage gals to hotel room, I often got b!tches in Shanghai and I usually got some friendly gals in Beijing. Again, this is my personal opinion.

I do have a higher scores on getting freebies in Beijing.

If I were you, I would pick Beijing. Unfortunately, I will stuck in a Monger-hell, USA, for a long time due to travel cut-back in my company. I wish I have your problems, Bowerboy!

I have to move to China for my job..if given the choice would i bebeter to go to Shanghai or Beijing? It would seem that Shanghai is better for the hobby...would apreciate anyones thoughts on this.

Currently i am living in Bangkok so I realise that anywhere after here will seem quite on the hobby front!!! Bangkok is a sexual disneyland, life is a pure fantasy here and the thought of leaving fills me with drad and some depression..i think the only place that could equal Bangkok is Jakarta..

Anyway, i really appreciate anyones thoughts on whether Shanghai is a better place to live and monger than Beijing.

Virtually no reports in past week - amazing - a city of nigh on 20 mil people and nobody fucks there nowadays.

What is missing in Shanghai is Maggies and Hollywood, however, this seems to be a mute point for the moment.

Hmm, not one to contradict the sagacious OAH, but with Beijing p4p still suffering from its Olympic hangover (and the global financial crisis not helping things) I have to say that SH has a lot more to offer these days in terms of prostitute bars (this is the wrong forum, so I won't bother to list). That's actually one thing I like about Beijing - that it's possible to find freebies in clubs/bars. Whereas in Shanghai, I sometimes feel that every girl I meet in a club is a WG, whether I'm on The Bund, Xin Tian Di or anywhere in between.

Also, does Beijing have the equivalent of the "seedy hostess bar", ala Julu Lu and Maoming Lu? Can't explain why, but sometimes I'm in the mood for sticky floors, fucked-up pool tables, drinking beer with skanky bitches and getting quickie BBBJs in the back room.

Unfortunately Beijing today is best avoided - unless of course it cannot be avoided - yes I know some of you poor helpless souls are still trapped in the 'Beijing re-education compound' with little or no chance of salvation.
As much as we talk about the Mongolian Sisters and Maggies and all, the thing that sticks in my mind is that Maggies was just a damn fun place to party all night long. Hadn't had that for awhile but did in Kuala Lumpur's Beach Club recently (not that it really compares to St Margaret's Cathedral, but it was a fun night). The music makes a big difference and there's mostly nothing in BJ at the moment.

But do not despair - there is a hope for you guys.

OAH introduced me to Changping a month or so back - am booked and headed back there Jan 18 - any of you guys want to join me for 4 nights of depravity?

Yikang Baojian is a relatively cheap and legit massage place, a few lights east of Kempinski hotel / Lufthansa Center. Exit 3rd ring road at Liangmaqiao, go east, at 3rd or 4th light (the Canadian International School is at the SW corner of the intersection) turn L (north). About 30m down there is a courtyard on your right, a lot of Japanese restaurants, also White House KTV. Walk up the stairs on the outside of the building to the second floor. Or let the taxi driver call them to get directions. I think they also speak english if you want to ask about rates. Mostly Japanese clients, massage people are young, no grandmas, will probably give you a female. They can get busy so call in advance if you don't want to wait. Prices are something like RMB 100 for 1 hour foot massage + 1 hour full body (wearing PJs). They also do outcall, could probably get additional services on outcall, but never tried.

There's an area I haven't heard mentioned on here before.. if you keep walking north on Liangma Qiao Lu, past the Chinese Cultural Center, the road gets smaller and turns to dirt (it eventually dead-ends). About 400m down there are a couple of BBS on the left side of the road, along with little restaurants and convenience stores. This is just after you past a large parking lot on your left. The neighborhood is very local and they don't get many foreigners. Quoted 50RMB and 100RMB short time. This was early afternoon on a weekday, only one girl in each shop and no customers around. But the goods were past expiration date.

If you go back to the south end of this strip of BBS, and head into the hutong going W, you walk through the closest thing I've seen to slum in modern Beijing, and end up on the N side of the Nuren Jie lake.

Did a quick search and couldn't find as much info (listing)as I like for real traditional massage places only (without any sex,happy endings or HJ etc.) Most posts on this subject were either outdated or most places provided "extras".

Ive played around beijing for a bit, and occasionally hear about Changping.

Now that life in BJ has slowed to a crawl.. I was thinking of checking CP out.

My question though, is where is this place? Is everyone referring to the Changping outside of the city here?.. or somewhere further away?

If it is the one near the city (just outside right?), whats the best way to get there from BJ and where does one stay (and play) out there?

Have been lurking for quite a while now, and with pleasure, but let me now put on a report for a change. Friend of mine dropped by, and we decided to check out some BBS. All around Shuangjing bridge. We first checked out some places I've seen before along the water opposite JW SOHO. Normally looks really crappy, which means low budget, so we decided to find out what 'low budget' means there. Unfortunately it appears these girls all went to bed before 11PM, since all places were dark and closed. Have to return another time again.

Walked into another place later, but there was only one girl working for giving some extra services. Since I did not feel like waiting for her to finish up my buddy before she laid her hands on me, we skipped this place and headed to their neighbors. When started the bargaining, I was kinda surprised about the prices. First of all, FS was not available. The best we could get was a BBBJ, for which they charged RMB50 more than for a CBJ. Moreover, the grl would not get undressed. Still, they charged RMB350!! Not cheap I thought, although the girls looked cute. For BBBJ, undressed grls, the lowest we could make it was RMB400. No way we could get it lower. Since I kinda lost my appetite, I told them my friend would go for it, but I stayed in the lobby for a chat with the girls. Turned out the RMB400 per person was only valid for 2 ppl. If only 1 person would go, the price was more. I really thought it was too much, and felt they were ripping us off, so we just left the place. Ended up with nothing, but at least didn't get ripped off.

Tell me guys, RMB400 for a simple BBBJ is not a Chinese price, right? The place was close to Fulicheng, so perhaps the area is too expensive or something.

Anyway, the bargaining thing was funny.

I have just gotten access to the Forum again after a long absence; it is nice to be back. I have lived in BJ for two and a half years, and explored a lot of the places mentioned here. Like many others, I have been disappointed with the scene here during the run up to the Olympics and since. I was even forced to find a full-time GF to keep things working, if you know what I mean.

I do want to share one bit of information that members might find useful. About a year ago I was introduced to a Chinese guy who handles a number of lovely young girls from provinces outside of Beijing. He operates in the Wangfujing area, mostly on the east side of the Taiwan Hotel. There are others working this area as well, but this guy and I have built a mutually beneficial relationship over time. He knows what I like, and because of who introduced me to him I get the bottom line price for the girls. With my gf is out of town now, last week I visited him for the first time in several months. He had been laying low since before the Olympics, but is now back in business.

In that area, the prices are inflated just because it is such a tourist area. But believe me; sweet young things can be had for as little as 400 RMB per hour. If you do not have a hotel in the area the handlers will be happy to direct you to one that will give an hourly room rate.

Unfortunately, the only English that most of these guys know is "massage" and "money". But you can get much more than a massage for your money. They will start high, but you can negotiate lower. Once a deal is stuck they will bring the girls up, usually two or three in a car so you can choose one. I have always paid my "friend" up front and given nothing to the girl other than taxi money (I live on the west side).

Anyway, hope that this information is as useful to someone else as it has been to me.

I had a recent 36 hour turn around in BJ, have not been for a while. Activity is quiet. I went with Mandarin speaking friends to Coco's bar. Young local crowd, some potential action for freebees but the WGs apparently show up late after some of the other venues die.
We left there and went to Passion in Great wall Sheraton Hotel - arrived around 1.30am looked a bit quiet but spotted cutie, Julie, great EnGlish great skin. Several other quality prospects around. Expensive - asked for 4000RMB LT ... No. Bargained to 1700RMB LT. Very nice, articulate girl. The cheap stuff looks tough but the the all die hard place seems to be doing fine, if you can afford the premuim.

On my first night in Beijing I went to meet a friend in Vics. Good music, afew girls tried to catch my attention but they were too old for me. They probably would have asked for a price which would have been unrelated to their beauty level. So I just drinked, danced and had fun, expecting to phone to an outcall service after disco. Right as I was leaving I was approached by a slim girl with a shining dress in her (at least) mid twenties. She proposed 1000 RMB and finally got down to 800. Outcall would have costed me less money, but I though: OK the girl is pretty and I just have to put her in my taxi and go back to my hotel. So I said OK.
This girl obviously navigates between Mix and Vics (her coat was in Mix), speak enough english and studies business for a bachelors degree at peoples university.

When we were in my hotel, she asked for money first, and I said no, later. From her face, I already knew I had made a mistake. Some girls ask for money first because they are afraid not to be paid. On her face I could read that she wanted to be paid first in order to get rid of any obligation to provide good service. Then it started. First she wanted to make it in the dark! I told her if I choose a pretty girl, I want to see her also. Then she told me if I'm pretty, why do you give only 800 RMB! Then her leg was hurting. Then I was too long, etc...(I wonder how it would have been if I had paid her before?).
Anyway, if you want a girl looking for suckers, you have her description....

After that, I only used outcall service for 500 RMB ST plus taxi. Excellent service, nice attitude, fully GFE. It remains my best option in Beijing

You are correct that 1700 RMB is very high, but Passion's in the Sheraton is notorious for the best girls in China - at the highest prices. I have not been there in years, so I do not know if their quality still justifies such high prices, but they have been at this level for well over 5 years. For those who have never been there, Passion’s is not the normal 5 star hotel lobby bar where you can normally find working girls hanging around looking for business. Passion’s is a “disco/KTV” bar. The normal pool of girls you might find at a KTV are all sitting around in the “disco” section of the bar. They all are high standard, and speak good English. Their first goal is to try and get you to take them to one of the KTV rooms – for KTV, not funny business. Fees for the KTV room can run in the thousands of US$. If they cannot get you to go to KTV they will ask for “tips” just to sit and talk with you. Normally 300-500 RMB, just for talking! Finally, the conversation will get to meeting you after the bar closes, and they all start out at 4000 RMB. Yes, she came down in price, but not too much. I am 100% certain that the girl WOULD NOT have agreed to 800 RMB for LT. These girls are better organized than the American Auto Workers :) You can of course find very good quality girls in Beijing for 800 RMB, but not at Passion’s. The market at Passion’s is already ruined – no use in trying to fix it. If you have more “dollars than sense” as the saying goes, then you might find the girl of your dreams for a premium price at Passion’s, but then again, you might also find her a lot cheaper elsewhere.

When you pay 1700 rmb for the girl, you are giving them one week’s worth of wage, sometimes one month’s worth of wage, depending on their alternative opportunity. The following are real wages of real girls that I have met:

Sales person = 8000 rmb per month
Teaching Chinese to foreigners = 8000 rmb per month
Procurement/purchaser = 6000 rmb per month
Assistant manager = 6000 rmb per month
Hotel reception girl at Shangri-la (model-like) = 1500 rmb per month
Factory girl = 1500 rmb per month
Internship girl at Shangri-la (model-like) = 600 rmb per month

So far this year, the number of factories shutdown in China is 67,000 (see article below). That’s right, 11,000 factories shutdown per month. And things are getting worse. Forget the Chinese bailout package, which is smokes and mirrors. The stimulus package is not as effective as you may think (see article below). University girls graduating are not going to be able to find jobs easily. And the girls who were laid off recently will unlikely find jobs easily.

Are you getting the idea here? First, model-like girls don’t make a lot of money outside of prostitution. Second, desperate times means desperate measures for these girls, thus accepting 800 rmb if they are model-like, and much less if they are not….. that is, unless these girls believe they can fool the “stupid foreigners” with 1700 rmb bullsh*t. Please don’t contribute to their confidence.

You want models? Try my approach, works well. Visit the mall where these tall model-like girls often work. Offer 800 rmb (maybe 1000 rmb) verbally, and pass your hotel card with your cell. 60% of the time she'll call you after she gets off work. Why? Because at their mall jobs, they are making about 800 rmb per month! And because these are not pros, you'll have less risks for UTI, less risks for attitude, no bouncers/heavies, safer, etc. If they call you back, then they want to please you.

My HK mates generally spend at least 1000-1500RM for a LT experience - and the guys from HK are not known for their generocity.You can easily get LT for under 1500 from Naked KTV takeout. Sometimes 1000 ok but normally somewhere in between.

ST usually anywhere between 700 and 1000.

Someone mentioned takeout for 500 plus taxi fare. For real?

First, I do not patronize Passion's, so do not take the following as me defending the payment of 1700 RMB for LT. I do, however, understand the existance of such places: different people have different priorities. The typical patron of Passion's does not speak Chinese, and is in Beijing for just a few days. He is typically working during the day, and does not have the free time to spend at the Mall for the 60% chance a girl will give him a call that evening. He probably does not read this board. Going to Passion's (or The Pig, or Maggie’s in the old days) he is accepting the fact that he will be paying a premium price over what our Chinese brothers pay for the convenience of the venue. The “market price” at places like Passion’s is already ruined. It has been high, but “flat” for several years. It is because of this high rate that Passion’s attracts top quality girls, often girls that are working a “day job”. It is a unique establishment fulfilling a unique niche.

You want models? Try my approach, works well. Visit the mall where these tall model-like girls often work. Offer 800 rmb (maybe 1000 rmb) verbally, and pass your hotel card with your cell. 60% of the time she'll call you after she gets off work. Why? Personally I would never proposition someone unless I was damn sure they were in the business. In my mind, propositioning some girl in the mall is the same as some drug dealer offering a free "taste" to some kid on the play ground. Once they are "hooked" on the extra money and the "party" lifestyle, they are stuck. To be honest, if I found out some guy made an offer like that to my daughter while she was working at the Gap I would hunt him down.

On a side note, in the USA when someone quotes their salary it is typically their complete package, including benefits, and before taxes. When someone in China quotes a salary I have found it is typically their take home pay. Someone taking home 4,000 RMB per month is actually being “paid” around 10,000 RMB per month once you add in the taxes and “social benefits”. In addition, the value of the Yuan has increased over 20% over the last 5 years. In the past you could offer a girl 800 RMB or $100 US, but now they will not take the US$ - unless you up it to $120. Sure, the Chinese still make less than their counterparts in the West, but it is getting better!

Just to follow up since my post seemed to generate some activity in a bit of a dead zone since the Olympics ...

I did pay a premium at Passion but I also watched a French guy agree to 5000RMB for a girl not nearly as nice as mine. Holy Sh!t! I thought that's about $US750, the average income of some Chinese provinces for a year.

In any case, I am in an International market but don't like to inflate to local situation. I told her I had never paid before ... well not more than about 1000RMB. She very nicely and with excellent humor pointed out that I had never been with her!! For what it is worth, I plan to see her again. She is actually a 10 but not just on looks since she was very entertaining beyond just deeds.
I have had other women I would rate as 10s - an 18yo from Seibu in Shenzhen for 150RMB ST, 19yo in Chengdu for 588RMB ST and a Thai schoolteacher for 3000THB plus tip, so there may be better value around, BJ is tough right now.

Each individual behavior does not mean much, but in aggregate these behaviors have a huge impact on the market. An analogy: Why does any central bank in Europe or the US raises/lowers interest rates by 0. 25% or 0. 50% each time, and not by 1. 00% or 2. 00% or 5. 00% at a time? Because even though to an individual, bloody ignorant of the macro effect, one-fourth of a percent does not mean anything, but in aggregate one-fourth of a percent could mean 100k jobs. By paying 1700 rmb (like Bearsk did), and enough of you guys do that, it negatively impacts pricing for all of us.

If somebody pays a girl 2K or 5K at Passions, does that affect the pricing at the local BBS? If course not! Conversely, if everybody starts paying 300 to BBS girls, do the KTV girls also expect double? Again, of course not. A guy paying a million yuan at Passions couldn't affect the pricing at a BBS. Berating somebody for preferring another venue is pointless. No reason to go hating on people just because they have money to blow.

I would agree though, that if sufficient number of guys pay like 300 yuan at a BBS, THEN the BBS girls would start demanding more. To say that BBS prices are going to go up because of people paying 2K at Passions is absurd. Every venue has a price, the point is to not overpay at the particular venue you're at.

Thought I would add my experiences to the pricing debate.

I recently met a girl through craigslist. I know 99% of the ads are either fake or for dodgy massage parlours. Exchanged a few emails. I would not recommend comparing prices in USD vs RMB. The pricing outside of China is not relevant. The prices in China are priced the way are due to the unique economic and business conditions relevant to China.

The same with the US vs anywhere else in the world.

Pricing in a particular place is not very relevant anywhere else because each place is unique. It is like comparing apples to oranges.

The pricing and products in Beijing are different than Shanghai, Guangzhou, HK, etc. You can't really compare even between Chinese cities.

First of all there is the BSD syndrome wherein visiting executives would fit your description. They tend to overpay because they are only in China for short periods, want convenience and are thinking in US$, Euro, whatever.

This is completely different from what Moody is saying. There is a different market price for services at different venues. For example, there are 1/3/5 and 2/5/8 KTV in DG. You would not pay 500 RMB
ST at a 1/3/5 place. The guy that does is a BSD and overpaying. Conversely, you would not get a 2/5/8 girl for 300 RMB ST.

The market price the last time I was at Passion was 5/15/30. Sure, some girls will ask more, but I think most will agree once they realize you know the price. The guy that pays 5k LT is the BSD.

There are private clubs in China where the market price is 10k LT. They cater to big tycoons and their government friends. They are also very high end girls at normal KTV but you never see them in a line-up.

The question is whether it is value for money. Are the higher price girls better? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. In my experience, there is no a direct correlation between price, quality and service. That said, most of us that know our way around pay the market price depending on the venue, but never more.

This is one of the numbers I use for outcall at 500 RMB ST plus taxi fare: 13366519488. Girls are usually 6/7 sometimes more. It depends of who is available when you call. From what a Chinese speaking friend told me some of them are doing it only part-time and have a job or study. They are usually young (18-24), friendly, and provide unrushed and enthusiastic GFE service including BBJ and fuck in all positions. I have never been disappointed by service. They usually speak very little English. Price is 500 RMB + taxi. Not more. Don’t spoil prices for this channel too.

I'm out of town until 3rd week of Dec. Happy to go with you when I get back! There are a few other ones in town, but I've never been, so don't know where they are, the cost, or if they are actually Naked right now, or just regular KTV.

The one that I go to should be back to normal (fully Naked) mid-December. It's typically 500 to 600 for the room, which includes all you can drink. The girls usu 300 each, mammi 300, door boy 100. Quantity & quality of girls goes up and down throughout the night. You can walk down the hall to their waiting room to see the full selection at any time. Or just choose when mammi brings them in 3 to 5 groups of 15 at a time when you arrive. I few months ago I was out and about in Beijing and ended up in a barbershop quite by accident. I actually thought that it might be semi-legit when I went in but was interested in the girl that I saw. She initiated and offered her services but didn't have any condoms and wasn't overly concerned. Although I was content for her to use her mouth and hands at one point she grabbed me and tried to mount me bareback.

Back in October it was just ramping up at the Pig, but I would assess the crowd about the same as you did. The 1000 RMB for ST is an improvement, however. a lot of hutongs lie east and west of line 5. i am talking about the area between the north-south axes of wangfujing / meishuguan houjie / jiaodaokou in the west and chaoyangmen nanxiaojia / chaoyangmen beixiaojie / dongzhimennanxiaojie in the east.

a lot of the hutongs running east-west between these two axes, crossing line 5 in the middle. when leaving these three main axes a few meters into the hutongs often after a few meters one or two barbershops can be found. i'd estimate every third hutong or so. heading further down the hutong only rarely reveals any more shops, one either comes across them soon or not at all.

given how big this general area is you may get an idea how rep001tered these shops are. all in all they will add up to maybe 20 shops, but without a bike i'd have no idea how to survey them. they are too far apart for walking, too many to hop by cab from one to the other and too inconveniently inside the hutongs to cruise them with a car.

wangfujing: hawker price review

i had a bit fun with the touts on wangfujing. put on a suit, looked clueless and sauntered down the boulevard. was approached about 10 times with the offers of lady bars. so far, so predictable. the twist of the story is that did the experiment of confronting the ladies with my knowledge of the city.

BVI went to check out xincheng after seeing the post. The phrase "the girls were beautiful" caught me. It's a little challenging to find but it's there in xincheng. the cabbies all know xincheng, but there are two halves to it. Kill me, but can't remember which one 417 is in. Recently had a night out in Beijing. Tried to hook up with some fellow ISGers, traded a ton of PMs and SMSes with Billy, Sammy, Beijing Fox and others, but no luck - everyone was out of town, working or otherwise occupied, though very eager to give me contacts for their favorite local girls.

Not dissuaded, I headed out solo despite a round of scorchingly hot freebie action the previous morning. Arrived at The Pig around 11pm. On my way down the hotel corridor, I passed a gorgeous brunette who looked Russian, though Far Eastern (ie asiatic looking). Gorgeous cat eyes, beautiful shiny hair, youthfully but stylishly dressed. Wasn't clear if she was working or just a guest. Once I got there, I found that the joint was packed. Barely room to stand. I'd say half guys, half girls. Lots of people standing around looking bored, honestly. Hot/doable/reject ratio was roughly 5/35/60 (you might guess that I have discriminating taste). If I had to guess, I'd say 40% Mongolian, 40% Chinese and 20% other.

A few girls came over to say hi, but nothing of interest. In general, I'd say the WGs in Moscow are a lot more aggressive when it comes to searching for willing customers. Hell, the regular girls in clubs can be more aggressive. Anyway, my Mongolian neighbor at the bar was a 5 in looks and a bit older (mid thirties, I'd guess). "Kak dela?" she said ("how are you?" in Russian). Apparently she'd been eavesdropping on my conversations with the other girls, and heard I'm from Russia. Turns out that she studied Russian in school. And her blonde friend (pleasant enough girl, but not my style - too chunky) is actually Russian.

Meanwhile, I noticed the girl who I passed in the corridor standing across the bar from me. Established eye contact. Traded smiles, then I cocked my head to the side to intimate that she should come join me. Introduced ourselves, and it turns out that's she's Mongolian (surprise surprise), but grandmother is full-blood Russian, hence the look. She didn't come across like a WG. Only been in Beijing for a few days, and quite shy. Spoke English well, and could understand most of my Russian. Wouldn't drink alcohol, "cuz it makes me crazy". Told her I like crazy. Still, she wouldn't drink, and after 10 minutes of chit-chat, asked about "my plans for the night", at which point I was non-commital. That resulted in her looking for greener pastures shortly thereafter. In general, it's hard for me to trust girls who don't drink.

I had another drink with the other girls, but most of the time I was chatting with a Dutch guy standing next to me who lives in Beijing. As a newbie to Beijing, I was pumping him for info on the local scene. At 1am the lights came up as we contemplated our next venue. Block 8? Mix? Vic's? Suzy Wong's? We settled on China Doll. I stopped at the ATM in the Holiday Inn on the way out, and spotted my quarter-Russian cutie. She asked if she could come along, and I said sure.

Arrived at China Doll around 1:30 or so, and my Dutch friend had a Mongolian "friend" waiting for him there. It was not really happening. Not totally dead, but there wasn't a real party going on either. Finally got my girl to agree to a drink, and striking while the iron was hot, I ordered a round of Long Island Ice Teas. Those fuckers were big and strong. And my girl polished off two without blinking. She then suggested that we hit Suzy Wong's where there'd likely be a bit more action. We agreed and piled in a taxi.

It was probably after 3am when we got to Suzy's, and my girl was right - the joint was jumping. But by this time, she was literally falling on the floor from the LIITs. Being pretty wasted myself, I suggested to take her home. She insisted she wanted to go to Sanlitun and continue partying, but when I offered 800 RMB to come back to my hotel, she quickly agreed. We started our fun in the shower, before migrating to the bedroom. Total GFE, and this girl was up for anything. Two rounds at night and another two rounds in the morning. She later told me that I was her "7th customer" ever, and that she was going to be heading back to her farm in Mongolia (where her parents have 500 sheep) because this wasn't the life for her. Not that I can blame her for thinking so. A lot of guys there at The Pig were clearly dipshits. Before she left, we had a short photo session so I'd have something to remember her by. She made me promise not to post her pictures "on the internet", so regrettably cannot include them here.

Other info... as Sammy previously reported, rumours about Maggie's opening today (Monday) are all over Beijing. Managers are calling ex-hostesses as well as Mongolian WGs. I know we heard this before, but considering the return-to-normal with The Pig, Hard Rock and other establishments, I tend to believe it.

I went to check out xincheng after seeing the post. The phrase "the girls were beautiful" caught me. It's a little challenging to find but it's there in xincheng. the cabbies all know xincheng, but there are two halves to it. Kill me, but can't remember which one 417 is in. Anyway, reason why I don't remember is because the girls were not all that good looking so I didn't stay. Not too much to report regarding Maggie’s. The shut-down occurred on the opening night of the newly renovated front end of the bar. For those who have not seen it, it is nicely laid out. There is a large bar area in the middle, making it easy to circulate. The back end of the bar, where the pool table is located, is still closed. It seems nothing has been done during the last several months as they expect the pool table area to be open “next month”. One has to wonder why they did not take the opportunity to complete the renovation while they were closed. This leads me to believe that they were denied access to the facility during this time, but who knows. When questioned about what happened everyone is silent. I doubt we will ever know the complete story.

The staff behind the bar is the same as before the shut-down. I once again found them padding my bill, but was able to get them to remove the additional charges. This is disappointing as I am a long time, loyal customer – but I guess a “pigeon” is always a “pigeon”. The number of “Northern Sisters” is not at pre-Olympic levels, but I am certain that now Maggie’s is back open there are many on the road from UB to Beijing. Many of the old Maggie’s Chinese “hostesses” have found other jobs, but they are quickly hiring replacements.

Nothing much else to report. While I was excited to hear Maggie’s was re-opening, I must admit I feel a little like a kid the day after Christmas – a lot of anticipation with an anti-climatic ending. The value of Maggie’s to me is not the actual venue, but the fact that it constantly draws new talent to Beijing from the north. I can cherry pick the girls I like, without having to worry about being their sole supporter. While I am not a pool player, the lack of pool table is a big hole in the social structure of the bar. Let’s hope they get the back are open again soon.

That being said, I look forward to a grand ISG reunion when we can get the Beijing gang, along with Cheftype, Billy and OAH together with our Northern Sisters under one roof in the near future.

I met a stewardess on a flight from Shenzhen to Beijing on Tuesday. She said she remembered me from the Beijing-Shenzhen flight the previous day. Anyone have any experience with Chinese stewardesses? She's tall, slim, and has a nice face, but I'm not looking for a girlfriend. I have a lot of experience with Chinese women by this point, but I've never been able to cultivate a true "fuck buddy." Yesterday I had a tight schedule for dinner, but 1-2 hrs time before 6:00 pm. Since I had to go for the dinner to China Central Place I decided to go at 4:00 pm and to have a look to the scene at SOHO New Town. I had seen this place on the Google Earth map, but I didn't checked it out before.
It is easy to find, and you can see advertisement in the windows of a lot of appartments, some in English. A Chinese friend who came along with me translated these advertisement, all are talking about massage, relaxing, some of heaven.... (what ever this means - and he translated).
I went to the orange tower which is easy to find. We headed in - and didn't know where to go. Our first idea was to call the numbers shown in the advertisement of the orange building. But I decided to ask the security people in the building about the best massage places. After several tries (and some calls) they recommended 2 apartments in level 11 and 17.
We went in. Level 11 was a legit massage place. 2 women offered standard massage. At Level 17 you can find also apartments offering massage. But we were awaited by a woman who asked us if we are the people who wanted a massage. Only very basic english capabilities. They offered us a massage (30 mins) and HJ for 350 RMB, massage and FS (60 mins) for 1.000 RMB. We negotiated and did the deal for FS (60 mins) for 550 RMB, but we wanted to see the girls before.
She asked us to wait for a few minutes and invited us to her apartment.
After 15 mins 2 indonasian girls came in and let us to the two bedrooms of the apartment. Even that was that what we had agreed and expected my friend and me were curious what will happen. And therefore we stayed.
It wasn't a pleasant experience, more or less boring. We got our FS, but I left after 45 mins. My friend payed it, but I was hacked off at least.
It was time to go for me to my next meeting, but I regreted it very much, that I choosed this option instead of optimizing my schedule for a visit at Maggies.

When I was online today, I made a search in the forum (and thought: RTFF before!). Zhuren stated 17 months before about this place: "That area is mongering central for the nihongon hentai salary-man" - and it is it today!

Tomorrow I will try to find better places in BJ.

We need to put a stop to this. It bugged me tremendously in the past. I was one of those who was allowed to run a tab, and sometimes it felt like I had paid drinks for the whole bar. From now on, guys: DEMAND to pay cash for every drink. Don't run a tab. Scrutinize the check. Demand a fa piao. I feel like Sammy. It is shitty behavior when you abuse loyal customers and flag wavers.

The number of “Northern Sisters” is not at pre-Olympic levels, but I am certain that now Maggie’s is back open there are many on the road from UB to Beijing. They'll be back. Word is already spreading like wildfire.

Finally got around to checking out Maggies.

It's still at the old location

The decoration is as it was the day before it closed.

There's a big plywood wall at the back, separating Sammy (who was there also) from his beloved pool table.

The behind-the-bar crew is mostly the same, including my favorite hard working, always cheerful barkeepstress

There is a new manager. Gary is still behind bars.

The number of bargirls is definitely down. Linda is back.

The security force appears to be all new.

There are plenty of fresh Mongolian faces, many of them quite pretty.

Customers are more on the younger side.

I recommend to remain on the lookout for padding the bill. However, a test on my part showed that they were honest this time. Let's keep it that way, and continued patronage will be guaranteed.

Rumors have been making the rounds in Beijing all Monday about an alleged raid on Maggie's on Sunday night. According to the lore, MONGOLIAN police showed up with a camera team in tow, and some girls allegedly got arrested. As much as we tried to substantiate the story, we couldn't find an eye witness. But everybody we asked had heard the same story, or variations thereof. Result: M's on Monday night (never a busy day) was like a graveyard. ISG is seeking information about the purported incident. Arrived in Beijing, after not being here for a few months. The venue has changed much since before the Olympics, and in my opinion, still not anywhere as good as Shanghai.

I consider myself, a seasoned mongerer, but ran into some bad experiences.

Refer to a past post, where I was in Nashville’s with a Thai friend, and a Chinese girls caught my eye. And was able to exchange phone numbers with her. I sms’d her when I arrived, and she agreed to meet me at the Hilton Zeta bar (where I stay) but had to meet her sister that night who was arriving from out of town. She arrived a little late and apolized. We had some nice discussion over some wine. She is part Korean, and works for a Korean company. I knew she was not a seasoned FL, but has had some experience. Anyways, did not get the deal done, as she left after and hour or so to meet her sister. Texted her the next couple days, but was "busy". Oh, well, I missed that one, should have pushed harder. From there, I went to the HRC. Only three FL there, and nothing my liking. It was cold outside and only 2 street walkers, but not acceptable.

Next night called a steady friend, but it was the wrong time of month. Promised to meet me in a week. So I went to the Pig at the Lido. The place was hopping, and immediately was approached. The girl was nice, but another caught my eye, and made the deal. 800, all night. Nice large natural breasts. Back at the room, did a dumb thing and paid her. She was nice, showered together. Back to Beijing early (Tuesday the following week). I planned to leave on Friday morning, but with my experience the last week, I changed my flight to leave on Thursday. (when will I stop making stupid mistakes).

I've been exchanging short emails in Chinese with the stewardess I met a couple of weeks ago on flights to and from Shenzhen. She's definitely and has sent me some cute (non-racy) photos.

The most recent email contains a critical phrase in Chinese that I don't know quite how to interpret:

This translates as:

This is my number [phone number]. Can send a message? Before I was always studying, I've just graduated and only worked for one year, don't have any SOCIAL EXPERIENCE. Please GIVE ME LOTS OF ADVICE / OPINION / COUNSEL.

But the difficulty is that I'm not exactly sure what SOCIAL EXPERIENCE (she4hui4 jing1yan4) means in this context, or how to interpret her request for ADVICE. Any Chinese experts have thoughts? Does this mean she's virgin? That's the last thing I need. On the other hand, the word for ADVICE/COUNSEL also contains this concept of TEACHING (jiao4), so does that mean she wants me to give her the experience she lacks?

I'm wary that this girl is just too innocent. I don't want a GF, nor do I need another casual deflowering on my conscience.

Rumours Abound

Day 1 Arrive late. Head down to the newly reopened Maggies amid rumours that the bar has once again been raided by police. True or not, the place is pretty much empty even for a Monday. Most seem to be in couples. None of our dearly beloved’s to behold, or ones you really wanted to hold.

Bars Girls.

Grab a beer hoping that 12. 30am is early. Have a second. It is not early. A few more people arrive. 12. 45, thinking about heading home. Am approached by a leggy Chinese girl. OK looking. Chats – and rapidly establish a) I vaguely know the Maggies ropes and b) she is working. So we chat and have a drink. She knows nothing about the rumours. 1. 30, time to go home. Nice chat but tiredness is kicking in. She suggests a ‘tip’ – sure, this is Maggies and she is a Chinese bar girl.

Then she says "You want me to go with you? " Eh? "I’m a working girl, 800RMB" she says. Yeah, OK, my expression of surprise is not that you are a working girl my dear, but that you are a Chinese WG by yourself in Maggies. Chinese girls in Maggies have always been strictly off limits much to my (on occasion) distress. Dear, darling Cindy from Guangdong. Ah, where are you now?

So, little head kicks in, and, hey lets test the hotel anyway. Just in case I get lucky and stumble across a Mongolian lady later in the week. Purely scientific research this. A quick change of clothes and we are off.

English and Make Up

It does amaze me how a cab ride improves a girls English. The guard of ‘I know a little’ drops and you are into full on conversation. For about 30 seconds. Tongues have multiple uses after all.

Day 2 brings late nights and late work with colleagues. 1am finish guys? Come on. Whatever happened to fun? But Day 3 brings an earlier finish. Sammy has corralled a group of our Mongolian ladies at a bar away from the centre. A Miss Mongolia contest would do hard to exceed what the eye beholds here. Except, the hospitality at a ‘Miss (insert country)’ contest would not come close to that of Sammy T.

Rumours and Changes

Well, it seems the M’s rumours were untrue (see posts) so we all pile into Sammy’s coach and head to M’s. This is entertainment in itself. How many ladies can you get in one van? It is a great way to get to intimately know people. Problem: as we arrive a squad car pulls up 6 police pile out and head through the hallowed ‘O’. U turn and off to Susie Wong’s. Susie is equally unwelcoming. How can you turn these girls down? A) they are damn attractive and improve the view of the place b) they are happy to pay the entrance fee c) they are going to drink, because Mongolian girls know how to do this with some style. There is obviously still a message out from the government / LE / Other to prevent Mongolian ladies having fun – never mind anything else. For those flying solo it seems tracking down MGL ladies is going to involve knowing numbers or getting lucky. At least for the time being.

Pastures New

Back in the bus and we head for a new "bar that shall not be named" Intransit recommends. WGS does not know BJ well so even giving directions out is not possible and I would not here. But it is a great place and all were welcomed with open arms. There are sofas, there is pool and the drinks are cheap. This is surely what heaven might be like?

As the evening winds down we all begin to head off. WGS is a Shanghai man and slow. We take a gentlemanly approach to finding our women. WGS also rarely talks money, rather just chats, then suggests that his chosen lady might like to go home at an appropriate and relevant time. I was also tired and not on my game. Chaps: In Beijing, business is different and he misses out. Hmmm. A week in BJ and striking out on all MGL fronts? That is like being 7 nil up at half time and still losing the game.

Taxi Queues

Ah, perhaps not. As we all go to leave, the girls all start jumping into taxis with the guys. WGS makes one final survey and sets his sights on a new (ish) girl who speaks little English. More Chinese than Mongolian looking. She is a little shy, but we’ll give it a go. Hotel (previously tested) batters not an eye lid and in we go.

Passions

Not that one. WGS had forgotten the genuine joy of being with a MGL lady. The complete unbridled passion compared to most Chinese girls (YMWV) is incomparable. She was tall and thin – but nicely proportioned with a winning smile. Despite taking (what appeared to be) coaching calls from a friend it was still one of the best experiences of the past year. A great way to cap the evening. How much? WGS is not sure. Must remember how much money I put in the safe in the first place*, but must have been in the right ball park. Text messages were exchanged the next day. I eventually got lucky. Either I or my Mongolian friend may also have got lucky on the money front as well. I care not.

In Corners

Beijing still lives. You just have to look it seems. Whether M’s will ever be the same again we will have to wait and see. We live in hope. What I do know: Mongolians still rock, and the generosity and friendship of the guys on the board here never ceases to amaze me in what could be such a testosterone filled environment. Sammy and Intransit – thanks very much for a great evening, look forward to catching up soon.

only a few additions to my last post.

had miss cheng over last sunday for dinner. nothing more, but she was kind enough to travel downtown from wangjing where she works.

as mentioned last time, she works as a tout in the lido area arranging girls for outcall. i interviewed her a bit about price levels in beijing from her perspective. as said she is arranging outcalls, so she knew best about those. here is how things break down:

she said of a st outcall 350 rmb go to the girl and the rest to the middle woman like her. sounds believable to me, i once got an offer on wangfujing for 400 rmb on a "take it or leave it" basis. i.e. for a cut of 50 rmb the middle lady did not want to negotiate too long. cheng for instance said she does not go lower than 150 rmb for her cut, i.e. 500 rmb in total. on the other hand she did not seem to mind if customers later hire the same directly without her as the middle woman ... saving her introduction fee. she sees her job as finding / introducing girls to those who won't do so themselves, not as a pimp taking a cut for every pop.

another thing she strongly recommended was being specific about what you want - in advance. asked about blowjobs for instance she said it is less a matter of price than a matter of the girl's attitude towards it. some will plain refuse no matter what, others will want 100 rmb extra and others include it without any extra fuss. she claimed that the girls doing outcalls are mostly ladies with day jobs doing this part time ranging from students, clerks, housewives to whatever. what was interesting is that she mentioned "good service" as one category that should be stressed during placing an order.

she was also pretty well informed where her colleagues seem to hang out. wangfujing is not far away from my home and she knows it is pretty full of facalitators like her. did not like to go there with me though to say hello, seems she liked to keep business and private a bit seperated. she also has one ktv / bar at hand and told that her cut for customers led there is 50%. but she openly admitted that she considers that rather expensive entertainment. she said it is okay for people who maybe need to treat someone, give face or have expense accounts to fleece, but she will not recommend it for straightforward bedsheet fun.

about the other ends of the spectrum (bbs and expat bars): her understanding of prices was that lowest price at bbs would be 200 fs st and 400 lt. for expat bars (she knows about the pig and has heard about maggies) she ventured 800 rmb st and double that lt. but you guys will know better than either of us i guess.

other than that was a really nice chat, talked a bit about her day job (she does the lady business on the side) had a nice dinner, and no: did not get her into bed. real pitty, she still claims to be 30 but i refuse to call her a mama until i saw her id. she called me up a few days later though at past 10 to make sure i add her new e-mail address on msn. i will not read into that a desperate call to sleep with me though.

sorry, but that "no experience ... give me some advice, will you?" can mean everything and nothing. hard as it may seem to believe (really?) people say a lot of things, half of them are hot air and the rest makes sense only from context or not at all. my guess is she wants career advice but what i really recommend is: ask her what she meant with that. you are already interested in knowing, so use it to your advantage and show it. she will probably mistake it as interest in her person, which is good for you. if nothing else it at least is a way to continue the conversation with her.

on second thought though, forget about it. just give me her contacts ... i will ask her for you. no ulterior motives here, seriously ... cross my heart. 0: )

over to my usual findings, i checked a bit more the bbs in the dongsi area (directions: close to dongsi subway stop of line 5, doh!). dongsibatiao has couple, as do dongseqitiao, dongsisi and dongsisan. the nearest landmark is maybe the super 8 hotel located there, though that one happens to be in the two hutongs without any bbs. had actiually fun in one place where the girls where very rushed ... in a funny way. very eager to wave passer bys in. went into the back room just to inquire and was grabbed and molested in a kind of reversal [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) play, all in good humour of course. imagine the kind of fight locals put up over who pays the bill after dinner, only more crotch grabbing involved.

Let me start by saying a big thanks to World Travler SH for his hospitiaity. We started the evening by having a great dinner at a local restaurant. Then headed off to start with cocktails at a bar called Rendezvous, where we saw a "marignal" Pinay band. The funny thing was we hadn't been in the place for more than 5 mins. when a couple of girls came over and offered to let us buy them a drink. I kind of chuckled to myself thinking that didn't take long and it didn't look like a traditional "chica" bar. (I have to find the Mandarin equal phrase for Chica), and although there was some nice scenery decided to move on to a bar called Red Beat. A one word description of the band in this place.....WOW! It is lead by three hot little Pinay's and the musicians backing them up are good as well. The smallest of the three gals has a voice that is off the hook! We listened to two sets and if there had been any available gals at all in the bar I would have stayed much longer!
We left and went into Manhattan, WT's first comment to me was "where are all the Pinay's" and he said he was surprised it wasn't more crowded. Being that is was my first visit I had no point of reference, but there weren't a lot of stunners. I guess I was expecting something on par with Fenwick's in HK, but not this night. Let me start by saying a big thanks to World Travler SH for his hospitiaity. We started the evening by having a great dinner at a local restaurant. Post a classified on any of the expat websites for activity partners or "someone fun to hang out with" and you'll get some responses. You will need to waste some time on meetings to weed out those with no potential but if here for the long term it's one way to get freebies. Just watch out for the ones that are only after shopping trips and string you along in return.

Don't know how much you are into BBS but there are a lot of them, the further out from the city centre the more there are, so in your case go further east.

I have also been searching for good Saunas in Beijing. Used to be a nice place called the Oriental Plaza near the China World. It was great (and near the office) but very expensive (1500 RMB for a VIP room). Still I thought it was worth it.

I was a fan of the Oriental Palace as well, but it fell to the wrecking ball in the relentless rebuilding of Beijing. It was pricey, but as you say, worth it. It was similar to Shanghai saunas. I have not found a replacement.

I do have a few high end places that are run in apartments in the Kerry Center area. They run about 1200 full service and can be very nice locations. The quality of girls is good, but the selection is always small.

Exploring on my bike over the weekend, I discovered two saunas in close proximity. Didn't try either one, but they looked promising.

The one whose location I remember clearly is on the north-south road just west (inside) of the second ring road and just south of Dongsi Shitiao subway station. There was a big 浴 character above the entrance, but originally I thought it was closed because some of the awnings and signange on the side of the building was torn down and lying in a heap. But as I parked my bike and got close, a guy came out to meet me and said it was indeed open.

There is a Rmb50 entrance fee, which includes sauna and bathing. I am positive that real massage and HJ are on offer there, and I feel 80% sure that FS is there as well, though unfortunately I didn't ask explicitly.

As I was leaving, the guy followed me out and asked if I wanted "a male of female masseuse." When I replied "female," he quoted me Rmb800 for unspecified services, which I'm pretty sure that would include FS. (I told them I wanted "bao3jian4" or "health care").

I said that was too expensive, and countered with an offer of Rmb300. He came back with either 500 or 600 (I don't remember which). Again, I can't promise that's FS, but I'm guessing it was. And it's not impossible they would charge that ON TOP of Rmb50 entrance fee and possibly even of the official massage fee. But I think one could avoid an stealth charges if one were quite clear about price at the beginning.

In terms of facilities, this was a bath house/sauna, so it's a solid step above BBS in terms of comfort. You walk down from street level to get to the main service area. I saw a carpeted hallway with rooms on both side -- but by no means a high-class facility. My experience is that these are often the places where the best value is often available. They draw a higher caliber of girls than the standard hole-in-the-wall BBS' because they're safer and slightly more expensive, but at the same time you're not paying for needless luxuries like stupid fountains in the lobby or zen rock gardens like you find at the high-end sauna/massage places.

Though mongers interested in scouting should expect the fully-clothed Chinese bathroom attendand there to watch you bathe.

I THINK the second bathhouse I saw was just down the street from the first, a bit farther south on the same road. But it might have been around the corner. I will pass by again and provide more detail.

After staking out a couple of saunas nearby (see http://internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=829602&postcount=3933), I settled on a BBS area on 新中街 (xin1zhong1jie1), just south of Worker's Stadium North Noad (工体北路 Gongti Beilu). Xin Zhongjie is the second north-south street east of the second ring road (the first is 东中街 Dong Zhongjie), running south from Dongzhimenwai Dajie.

If you cross Gongti Beilu heading south, there is a cluster of BBSs towards the end of the next block. One of them is on the main road, but there are about 3-4 more off on a little side street/alley that heads off diagonally to the right. Because it's a diagonal road, you can actually see she the shops on the side street as you approach it from the main road.

Once in the alley, it looks like the alley just dead ends after about 50m, but actually if you follow it to the end you can turn right around the corner into this apartment block, and there area 2-3 more BBSs on the ground floor of the apartments.

These are the BBSs where there's little question that sexual services are on offer. Women are sitting in the windows and will make eye contact with you as you walk by.

I chose the second shop on the on the right in the alley. There were 3-4 girls, and they let me choose, which I liked and which isn't always the case in BBSs (though you can usually do it if you insist). The girl I chose turned out to be extremely hot. At first glance she appeared to have big breasts, but I assumed that would turn out to be mainly an effect of a push-up bra. Not so. Terriffic, exceptional breasts. If it is any help to you: I was in Nanjing last week and got everything for 100 RMB cheaper there. FS for 200 easily. Of course the odd over the top quote here and there when mistaking me for fresh-of-the-boat, but 200 RMB was what was easy to get. And 300 for FS is what I can settle easily in Beijing. And then lower if you are repeat visitor, 200 in Beijing and probably 150 in Nanjing.

Check also a bit my report about the interview with Chen. She claimed 200 RMB for FS is typical in Beijing. Sure, everything needed taken with a grain of salt, but it seems BJ is just a bit more conservative on these issues. Already in Nanjing the ladies dressed a lot more provocative and obvious, I went window shopping a few hours just for the mere sight of it there.

I am a westerner and almost never get refused HJ at RMB100. I simply don't negotiate. I walk in, ask "da feiji", and then "RMB100 dui ma?". If they try to say it's more I make a gesture of surprise, say it's RMB100 elsewhere and turn around to walk out. 90% of the time they'll quickly say ok, and performance has never suffered. I also sometimes ask them if they are aware it's RMB50 in Shanghai to show that I am vagely aware that know what I am talking about.

Also due to the cold weather a lot of BBS are short of customers so it's currently a buyers market.

P.S. Lucky strike on the BBS girl though, that degree of service and to voluntarily give you her number and suggest meeting outside the venue suggests she likes you and FS (if not freebie status) might be possible. I guess it's just a matter of taste. It's not that I have never or would never go for FS, but my experience has been that in general, any FS I buy for Rmb300-400 or under is likely to be mechanical, and I'm unlikely to get active participation from the girl. I don't really care for that kind of sex. By contrast, a HJ is in some sense always mechanical, but it can still be a great experience if the proper mechanics are used.

The recent shutdown is not just limited to high end places like Maggies and The Pig.

The area near Dengshikou for instance also looks totally dead. I contacted one provider there and she told they too got told to be low profile because supposedly there is some kind of conference in early January. around January 10th she said things should better again.

The shops Gaoshou mentioned on the other hand were both open on Tuesday. I did not check any other areas yet, but at least it seems that Maggies and The Pig are not singled out specifically.

I have only recently stumbled upon this forum, and after numerous trips to this amazing city, let me just say how much easier life has been with the help of this abundance of information. Hats off to the Beijing regulars who have helped make many a short-term visitor leaving this city happier than they were upon arrival.

It's about time I gave back to this forum. With Hollywood and Maggie's and other old standbys currently dead, let me report on a sauna that, to my knowledge after reading hundreds of pages of this forum, is currently unmentioned.

Not sure of the name, but it is located just east of the Olympic venues on the North 4th Ring Road. From Anhui Qiao - the first flyover just east of the Bird's Nest on the N 4th Ring - go north on AnLi Lu until about the 4th major intersection with Bei XiaoHe Lu. At this intersection, the Marco Polo Hotel (a huge black marble building, can't miss it) should be on the SE corner, a McDonald's should be on SW corner, and a fancy looking restaurant with a large neon facade on the NW corner. From this intersection, walk north on the west (left) side of the street for about 250 meters, past the KFC on your left.

The sauna has a gaudy neon sign, and the double glass door entranceway leads to a double staircase that takes you to the lobby on the B1 level. There should be 1-2 posters of half-naked women hanging immediately behind the counter, and I remember the first time I saw these, I knew I was in for a good time.

Standard sauna routine: give the attendant your shoes, receive a bracelet with a locker key, strip, shower, put on a pair of PJs (ask for the free ones in the shelves), and tell the attendant you want a VIP room for a massage. You'll get led past the lobby, through a large movie theater-type room with over a hundred overstuffed recliners, and through a maze of hallways that will finally lead you to the VIP rooms. The cost of the VIP room is waived if you select any type of FS service.

The last time I went, I got the 800Y all-inclusive (quan2tao4) service, which included 80 minutes of every conceivable way a woman can please a man: 2-3 different types of catbath (ice, hot water, and some type of Jello-like Chinese candy), pussy and tit rubdown, gratuitous amounts of rimming (with ice and hot water), BBBJ with fire/ice, and finally FS. I probably failed to mention half the services included in the 800Y package, but that just adds more to the surprise.

I had #56, a tight Sichuanese firecracker with a killer body and fake tits that, unfortunately, were poorly done. Face was so-so. Come after 3 p.m., that's when the all the girls report for work. The male attendant sends in 1 girl at a time, but don't be afraid to keep sending them back until once suits you. #56 indicates that they have had some foreigners before, but like all saunas, knowing a bit of Chinese will certainly get you further.

It's a bit far from the downtown area, but it can be reached pretty easily by subway. Take line 5 to the DaTun LuDong station, walk about 800-1000 meters west until you hit AnLi Lu, and then 1 block north until you get to the intersection I described above.

Total cost: 48Y door fee (includes a pretty decent buffet dinner after 6 p.m.) & 802Y package comes to 850Y, with the VIP room fee waived.

One more interesting thing: on my way out, the male attendant said the place was popular with businessmen who bring their clients after a long dinner to seal deals. I can only imagine how many Chinese business agreements have been reached, not at the point of a gun, but with a tongue up the counterparty's asshole!

Went to Absenta/Elephant on the Jan. 2 for the 10: 30 show. The place is just drenched with faux-classy Russian kitsch. From what I could tell, there were no WGs in attendance. The show itself was so-so. Pretty shoddily executed, the girls were mediocre, parts were unbearably cheesy. But the experience was unique enough to earn my recommendation. Asked for 200USD per hour, but after laughing in her face, the price dropped to 1200RMB for 2 hours and 2000RMB for the night. Still found this to be unreasonable, so got her number for maybe some afternoon action and left for Workers Stadium North Gate.

Headed for Vic's where there was clearly some action to had. As I am ethnically Chinese, nobody approached me outright, so I had to do some work by initiating with girls who were alone on the dance floor or at the bar. I'd say about half the girls I approached were working, and prices ranged from 1000 to 2000 for the night. Wasn't in the mood then, so I upped and left.

Judging from that Friday night, there were slim pickings to be had. Hollywood that night was closed, and I heard Maggie's wasn't happening. The Sanlitun clubs (ChinaDoll, ChinaDoll, Bar Blu) that were very good when I was in town over the summer were disappointing. The Den was limited. So it seems that until the old standby's pick up again, the club scene by Gonti North gate and West gate and by Scitech will be the most promising, at least for those of us who are reasonably young (20s. 30s), who have reasonable game (some command of Chinese and are unafraid of rejection), and a reasonable amount of time and money (2-3 hours to poke around, and around 300Y for covers and drinks and cabs).

I'm going to concentrate this upcoming weekend entirely on the club scene, and we'll see how it turns out. Report pending.

That should be sufficiently safe, however another option is to ask her what she is most comfortable with. If she speaks pudgonwa she will know Beijing reasonably well. If she does not speak the local lingo then stay with the hotel option. But note, make sure its a major international hotel.

In case anyone cares, #16 formerly of Wangjing 419, mentioned in my previous report, actually moved to 418, not to 417 as I wrote. And her number at 418 is still #16.

Also, I have learned from a newbie who went there in person on my advice that the baseline price is Rmb160, not Rmb200, as it was when I started there and as I have still been paying. Cab fare still required for order-in.

Actually, there was a period -- maybe last spring or summer? -- when there was a discount. At that time I did pay Rmb160 for maybe two sessions. But then later I was told the price returned to the original Rmb200.

Apparently the discount has come back into effect, and my dear #16 did not go out of her way to mention it to me, as it was quite clear I was willing to pay Rmb200.

So not the MOST honest provider, but that degree of honesty is a lot to ask of a poor WG. My PM correspondent learned the true price because he went to 418 in person rather than ordering out, so I think his money was collected by the front desk rather than the provider.

I would like to share the opinion of some fellow mongers about massage.

All saunas should have this 600Y option. After a few times the catbath just gets tedious! You can of course just ask to cut out some of the routine, but the girls often seem to equate the number of items on the menu with the value provided, frustratingly.

IMHO this is not quite right. Indeed, a couple of years ago it was called Maggies and a lot of foreigners mistakenly thought this was the famous Maggies Bar, which it was not. At the time, the "real" Maggies was located next to the Worker's Stadium. It was a great place ! Later, it moved to the south entrance of Ritan Park. Still a fine place, but I preferred the old one.
The bar next to the Hilton always had Chinese hostesses but there has never been takeaway in my experience.

Years ago, what is now Bar One was called Maggie's 2. Both places belong to the same owner. They still do. Well, they are rented by the same guy. Owned they are by a big honcho who also owns Banana's, Coco Banana's and God only knows how many other places in Beijing. The guy who leased the places (and his manager) went to jail last year in March. The lessee is out of jail, but under orders to not get close to Maggie's. The manager still sits in jail.

Before Maggie's was closed, it was a great place for takeout. Bar One, as it was later called, was hit and miss. The bargirls were off limits as were the bargirls at Maggie's. But where Maggie's had scores of Mongolians and the odd Russians, Bar One had only some sometimes. Very limited selection.

(There were exceptions to the bargirl rule. Once in a while, a bargirl both at Maggie's and Bar One would moonlight. But usually, that was a girl that liked the customer so much that she wanted to move in with him for a steady relationship and who didn't care for house rules, because she wanted to get away from the house anyway. In the months before the Maggie's closure, many new bargirls were hired, and the house rules were not as tightly enforced. That was one of the many reasons for its downfall.)

Moot point now. Both establishments are currently boring places to have drinks only. Maggie's at Ritan Park opened some weeks ago, but was quickly raided and put on notice to not admit any unaccompanied females who will leave with company. Same goes for other places. And boys, watch yourself and your graphic descriptions and pictures on the Internet. Now that the bar scene is cleansed of unbecoming activities, the focus of the police is on the Internet.

Just to clarify, what occurred at TI the other night was not a raid per se -- three police arrived, asked the three Mongolian women in attendance for their ID, they took down the numbers, checked that the visas were valid, then left. Other girls -- Chinese, Mongolian and Russian -- arrived later on, and the police did not return, and everyone seemed none the worse for wear.

Nice crowd at Maggie's last night, esp. for a Monday.

I do not know the address of the Sauna. I can only describe the way from the hotel I stay. I usually stay at the hotel Beijing Crystal International Hotel (? ), Tel. 010-51306688. You can call them to ask them to tell you their address. The hotel is quite near the airport.

If you go out of the door of the hotel, you turn left and walk the street upwards. After about 5 minutes walk, you would see a quite old Sauna on the right side across the street. This is the one. There is only one sauna on the right side of the street so you should find it easily. If you see a quite new and beautiful Sauna on the left side, this is NOT the correct one.

After the "standard procedure" to bath yourself, tell them you want a oil massage with No. 5 Ms Li. If Ms Li is not available, tell them you want No. 3 Ms Ma. Ms Li is more skillful (she is the teacher of Ms Ma) but Ms Ma is younger and more beautiful. So it is up to you.

They will lead you to a room and may try to convince you to do FS for 600 to 1000 RMB. I can tell you this would be a waste of money since there is nothing special with the girls and services. So stick to the oil massage with No. 3 or No. 5.

Both girls are from Anhui province. The younger one Ms Ma is 23 years old. I would give her a 7 for her look. The older one and the "teacher" of Ms Ma, Ms Li, would only get 4 for her look. But her skill is better.

Do not try to ask them to do more. They both do not do FS or blow job. Once I got a breast job from Ms Li but it was like every breast job I got else where. Real special is the oil massage with HJ.

DigitsAt least before the Olympics you could apply directly on the airport - one entrance only, costs: 80 USD. On terminal II there is a help desk just right before the counter of the former health declaration. If you are arriving in terminal III you just ask the staff.

I eventually found out that she in fact does have a valid visa, and is trying to extend it through May.

Few bits of potentially useful information that I gathered from her on our last outing:

Hollywood's management has been telling the Russian mamasans to have their girls show up only after 11:00-11:30, in response to the police raids at venues around Ritan Park. Even then, Hollywood has been almost completely dead with Russian girls, and the last time I went (two nights ago at 10:45) there were only 2 Asian girls, no Russians, and 25 Chinese dudes.

Business has been very slow for these girls, which means that prices are soft. My girl told me her Ukranian flatmate has been asking for 600Y for ST, and I've been paying mine 1600Y plus a tip (at my discretion) for the whole night. Business is expected to pick up in Feb, and new girls are also on their way.

To make up for lost business, the Russians' mamasans have been arranging meetups for ostensibly Chinese customers at their hotels through some sort of escort service. I do not recall reading about Russian escorts on this board, does anybody have any experiences with this?

Please note:

(1) You do not need a Transit Visa (G Visa) if your transit in China is less than 24 hours and during which time you will only stay within the airport (However, American and British passports bearers still need visas under this situation).

(2) You need to apply for a Transit Visa (G Visa) if your transit is more than 24 hours, or if you have to go out of the airport regardless of the duration of your transit.

(3) Australian, New Zealand, American, Canadian, South Korean, German, French, Dutch, Luxemburg, Belgian, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Austrian, Greek, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish passports bearers do not need a Transit Visa (G Visa) if they transit via SHANGHAI and staying for less than 48 hours (going out of the airport is allowed).

You can quickly get a China visa in HK, but still takes some time.

It is my understanding that there are many saunas in Beijing where the full course is more or less 1K RMB.

It's about time I gave back to this forum. With Hollywood and Maggie's and other old standbys currently dead, let me report on a sauna that, to my knowledge after reading hundreds of pages of this forum, is currently unmentioned.

Not sure of the name, but it is located just east of the Olympic venues on the North 4th Ring Road. From Anhui Qiao - the first flyover just east of the Bird's Nest on the N 4th Ring - go north on AnLi Lu until about the 4th major intersection with Bei XiaoHe Lu. At this intersection, the Marco Polo Hotel (a huge black marble building, can't miss it) should be on the SE corner, a McDonald's should be on SW corner, and a fancy looking restaurant with a large neon facade on the NW corner. From this intersection, walk north on the west (left) side of the street for about 250 meters, past the KFC on your left.

The sauna has a gaudy neon sign, and the double glass door entranceway leads to a double staircase that takes you to the lobby on the B1 level. There should be 1-2 posters of half-naked women hanging immediately behind the counter, and I remember the first time I saw these, I knew I was in for a good time.

I've got a couple of weeks in Beijing now, after comming up from Shanghai.
Took a wonder down that way the other day, but couldn't find the right place. I will admit to not actually walking through any of the glass doors after KFC. As I speak no Mandarin I couldn't see anything obvious from the street. Is it past what looks like an Indian bar or club? Is is before or after what looks like the enterance to either a hotel or office? (Quite a grand enterance above street level.)

I'll have another look down there this weekend, and will report on my sucess or failure. I'm not holding my breath being CNY an all.
