One must compare apples with apples. You can get a girl in a hutong area in S. China for 3 Euro with a room but the girl is doing 10-12 punters per day. At 50 Euro, you are getting a KTV girl that does 1, maybe 2 punters per day.

OAHBut not in Beijing, hardly even ST. Current prices even at BBS are in the 400 RMB range, so almost there. Before you could find kuai cai at 200 RMB and had no problem for a 100 RMB HJ, now many ask 300 and hardly budge. More than before you must now to go where!
On that called one of our Northern Sisters, she immediately began with asking about the price and for 800 she did not even continue our discussion and that was ST. What is happening here. Maybe because I told her I am a friend of Billy (only joking)

Had to do field work on this whole pricing so I checked out the Chaoyang Bei Lu status. In fact the action is in both streets, the big one described but also in the small one parallel to it South, as it is the same block of houses. Back to old glory in times of numbers but as far as I could see rather rock bottom quality. Took the first one as described, price 300 all inclusive, you go to another place for the action and it seems I have found Beijings Catacombs, oh my god, no animals but a motorbike in the room and local fast food in its lowest quality offering starfish. These are clearly local catering places that are very open so you better be all careful, not recommended at all.

As for pricing – from the first time I step foot in Hollywood – and in the early days it was Russian girls only – no Mongols – no Chinese – the price was always RMB800 ST – whatever you could negotiate LT.
At about the time of the pre-Olympic lock down – it may have been before or after Hollywood re-opened – but the ST rate for ALL girls went to RMB1,000. Since that date - every girl I have talked to their asked RMB1,000 - but they will settle for RMB800 in many cases.

I agree. Russians and CIS girls do not go below 800. Once I was there very late and the place was closing down while I was in the middle of negotiations. She didnt go down even a bit and left.

This discussion come up now and then. Many factors influence the price. Not only takers but more the biz environment, competition, ease of doing biz.
In Kuala Lumpur, f. E., there is a nightmarket with hundreds of girls from China, working as Freelancers. The going rate is between 10. and max 25. EU for a ST in her room. Now figure why you shall pay in her homeland without a room provided 5 to 10 times more?

Yes the old Peng hwa food court in a outdoor tent at KL, many old Chinese SW from China cost is about 100 RM as I remember, they closed down the place a few month ago most girl is low quality only a few is doable, most of the hot one work the bar and sauna, visa for Chinese girl to go to Malay is cheap only about 25 USD much cheaper than Singapore, Macau and HK.

Went to a MP inside a police station, behind a safety door. Did not realised this initially and then asked our LE guy shy as I am, can go there? He was completely not understanding, as I found out after some discussion because the door was not even locked.

I was in Beijing for a few days week of 19 October.
I came in on a Monday morning and as I didn't have to do anything that day I decided to invite a girl from Angel's service that goes recommended here on the board.

I didnt see any other foreigners in there. I have been in there probably 6 or 7 times since 2005 and now you mention it i dont recall seeing any foreigners in there....certainly very friendly though every time and no problems...indeed it is my solid belief (because each time I have taken a girl from there they have told me) that they would prefer to go with a foreigner for something different rather than Chinese. But you are right the place is set up for Chinese.
First time i went to Hollywood in 2005 i got probably the hottest russian girl in there for 600RMB short time and I have always used that as my benchmark which seems to work....agreed though that i probably woulnt be able to get it at that price now. Of ourse it all depends on how bad you want it or want that particular girl....i have overpaid in other countries for exceptional girls because they were well...exceptional! Doing quite well with intrnet girls in Beijing lately so i was quite prepared to walk out of Hollywood empty handed and she obviously sensed that......the place in general though was probably the busiest I have ever seen it. You also have to bear in mind that some of the hotel touts are offering some very cute girls for 500RMB to 600RMB so that also is a good benchmark right there.
On a side note: I know the hobby can be dangerous at times but generally you would have to unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and so I am not at all intimidated about trying out any place...been ripped off just once which was in Guilin. Went into the massage/karaoke place with a tout from the street, it was my first time in China. After deed the heavies came in the room and said the tout had ordered whisky and done runner without paying...you probably have heard of this scam and to cut a long story short I lost about $200...didnt argue or put up a fight but did haggle the price down...got off lightly as they were asking for $600 at the beginning and incredibly foolishly I had about $800 on me in a money belt!!! Learnt a lot about China from that and also from some stories I read about CP on that thread.... BSD said he saw you in CP recently....I was there last weekend...love that place.
Yes would be good to hook up in December if I am here at that time...

FATried on of the BBS on the south part of Chaoyang Beilu yesterday. Was quoted 500 initially for full service but finally got the whole package for 150. Pleasant lady from Guizhou but enthusiasm could certainly have been better.

With due respect for the seriousness of the reports and the police investigation, but I have strong doubts about this story. I have pretty much difficulty to believe the German man has hijacked the taxi.
What would have been his motives? He was with a Mongolian girl, and most likely had other things in mind than hijacking a taxi.
I rather have the impression that the taxi driver tries a (pretty unlikely) story to pretend his innocence. If he was responsible for the killing of the German national, perhaps his company has to pay quite a bit to the family, and driver will have to compensate his company - perhaps for lifelong.
I am curious to see how this develops further. If any brother has more information, I am anxious to learn about the outcome. Last but not least, I am also in Beijing from time to time.

Hmmmmmm. This sounds suspiciously like a real event which occured in Hong Kong a few months ago. An Aussie got drunk in a Wanchai bar, hailed a taxi, and then had an argument with the driver as he was passing through Central. The Aussie attacked the driver, who then crashed the taxi. The police arrived, and the sh*t-faced Aussie actually dragged the injured driver out of the cab, got in, took off, and crashed into two more cars before the cops caught up with him! All caught on police video!
My take is, that is just a case of when-in-doubt-blame-a-foreigner. Since Herr X is no longer able to answer questions, they are blaming him and 'reprocessing' this real-life incident, as much as to say, See it happens all the time.

Hollywood may seem creepy, but it is safe. The key is to get over the strange way the girls just sit around and wait for you to approach them. If you are the type who does not like to approach the girl first, or want to chat them up before taking them home, then Hollywood is not for you.

Is this normal for Traders Hotel?

Spent a couple of nights venturing around the 3** area, found a great freebie-ish MP girl, older but very GFE gal in one of the countless MPs, which turned into a nice regular. The places are all much cheaper than in CBD or inside the 3rd ring in general but seem to cater almost exclusively for Koreans and Chinese, other foreigners are a scarcity. Business is really bad, so the girls are more open for extras but it requires more patience than in the known 4** places, where it is pretty standard. On this level and the one below is all the high class shopping stores like Louis Vitton. If you face the hotel standing on Jianguomenwai Avenue it is at the left side of the building. In my vernacular "Northern Sisters" typically refers to Mongolian girls, but it seems you are looking for Russian girls. The best place to find them (which you should know if you have been reading this thread for a while) is Hollywood over on YaBaLu. Girls are there semi-early (starting around 8 pm), and typically stick around until 10 pm or 11 pm. They all have apartments for incall, but will also be happy to go back to your hotel. If you are going directly from Hollywood you will have to take one of the black taxis which will charge you more than a normal taxi. I recommend you stop by Hollywood and collect some phone numbers, you can then call them later from your hotel and ask them to stop by.

Unfortunately that is more the norm than the exception. Learnings IMHO are never ever pay upfront, even 500 for this type of service is already too high. Make clear to the girl what you want, friendly but persistent. When she starts playing tricks or do the starfish, throw her out. Your experience is very typical for an agency girl. In my many years in Beijing I have never really heard about any good escort services. There may be the guy who gets lucky every now and then, but this is by far the exception, not the rule. I strongly suggest you hit one of the "hot spots" and find one of our Mongolian sisters. She will certainly restore your faith in Asia!

China doesn't have a lot of things we are used to, and it has a myriad of things we aren't used to.
The few escort agencies there are are here to separate gullible tourists from their money.
Next time you are here, do the following:
1.) At around midnight (not earlier) step out of your 5star and tell the doorman "South gate of Ritan Park." He will smile knowingly and relay the address to the taxi driver. Tip the doorman 10 RMB if you plan to stay a few days, he'll become your friend and ally.
2.) As you approach the location, you will see a big red neon sign saying "Maggie's" atop a round gate. Say "Hao" to the taxi driver. Go in.
3.) Except the "hao", no Chinese was spoken, and none will be necessary inside. They all speak English.
4.) The girls with a "Maggie's" pin on the blouse belong to the house. They assist you in drinking. They are not for takeout. If you see a Western guy with a Maggie's pin, he's not for takeout either. It's me, and I just have stolen the pin from a screaming barmaiden again.
5.) The untagged girls are all available for takeout, except as noted below. Mongolians speak English. If she asks you "how much will you pay me?" answer: "the usual rate, my dear." The rate is 1000 RMB, despite what others may tell you. Prolonged negotiations mark you as a newbie or her as undesirable. If money is not mentioned, then you have given her the impression of a regular. It doesn't mean she is free. Give her 10 red bills in the morning.
6.) You say "get your coat" and head for the taxis waiting outside. Show your hotel keycard to the driver, he'll know where to take you.
7.) On arrival, you wink at your friend, the tipped doorman, and take it from there.
8.) Occasionally, you will see a Caucasian female at Maggie's. If blond and unaccompanied, they usually are Russians and available. If you are into that, go for it. I'd stick with the Mongolians. If the Caucasian femmes are accompanied, tread carefully. Maggie's has turned into some kind of a tourist attraction to which more daring men occasionally take their wives or girlfriends. It's generally better not to proposition those.
9.) Do not play pool with a Mongolian.

I agree with FA. Whenever I am asked to pay first, I decline. For most WGs, there is no incentive to provide good service once the money is in their pocket. This theory has been reinforced by girls that ask for money upfront even when I refuse and pay afterwards. The girls that even asked usually provide inferior service compared with those that didn't ask.
In my experience, nearly all Chinese and Mongolian WGs will relent about paying first if you insist. Most of the Russian girls insist on money first.

The Mongolian girls I know never ever ask for money upfront, it just ain't done. Despite stories of some a-holes cheating them after the act. Actually, amongst professionals, we rarely discuss money at all. I know what they get and they know that they will get it.
8.) Occasionally, you will see a Caucasian female at Maggie's. If blond and unaccompanied, they usually are Russians and available. If you are into that, go for it. I'd stick with the Mongolians. If the Caucasian femmes are accompanied, tread carefully. Maggie's has turned into some kind of a tourist attraction to which more daring men occasionally take their wives or girlfriends. It's generally better not to proposition those.
Sorry, I must correct this point. Maggie's is not a zoo or a tourist attraction. Reg. girls I'm always happy when I can stay in Asia, and not in Europe. Even the Brazilians you can find in Europe are nice, but it is even nicer to go direct to Brasil. I think it is fair to agree to disagree, human interaction is different for any couple or group of people experincing it, the situation, the daily mood, whatsoever.
For China these girls are a rare finding, somehow unique (but not totally exclusive) in many ways (GFE, service orientation, language skills etc.), but they also know it. So my only point is be careful in your expectations, the GFE is part of their service offering until you know them personally for a while, then it may become real. They are in a business, definitely need the money and seem to get at the moment higher and higher prices. So do not get disappointed if what is paid here by people who have a long lasting relationship with these girls is something we mere mortals never will achieve.

I would say that over 90% of my experience with Mongolians has been excellent and in line with the points posted on this thread. That said, I too have had a couple of bad apples.
On the other hand, albeit a much larger base and at a lower average price level, I would say that only 10-15% of my Chinese experience has been excellent. Even if I compare apples to apples in terms of price, the percentage of excellent only increases slightly.
IMHO, part of the reason may also be the foreigner friendly attitude of Mongolian girls and their English language ability which always makes the experience more GFE.

It's my first post here so but I am an experienced mongerer in Beijing. Thought I'd share some of my experiences with all of you to see if we all have common experiences:
Agencies: Maria's, Angel's, etc. Are good if you are at the hotel or apartment and really don't feel like heading out. The pictures are never accurate so don't fall for the 500 yuan gets you this, 600 yuan gets you that and 900 yuan gets you the model. It's the same tactic all over the world and there are still people that fall for it. Guess there's one born every second. Just as for the lowest price and tell them what you like (I. E., short, tall, big breasts, skinny, long hair, short hair, approximate age). The more you tell them, the more likely you'll get something within range of what you want. It will never be perfect.
CL: All of the pictures are fake. I've used it enough to know. It is a no-win situation with CL. Most are agencies who end up calling girls up to see who can make it. You almost never get what you want as they have no contol anyway. Whoever is available is whatever you get so in that sense, using the aforementioned Agencies will yield a better result. Nonetheless, if you are going for CL, you will notice many different prices 200-300 yuan for oil massages 800-1, 000 yuan for two hours of GFE. Believe me that you'll feel pretty darn stupid when they leave in forty minutes. You'll also want them to because it is not GFE. Therefore, what I would do is go for the 200 yuan oil massage (no taxi fee and state this on the phone) and expect nothing more. If the gal that shows up is attractive and has a nice attitude, let her know right when the massage begins that you've always paid 600 yuan for "chuan tao" or the whole shebang. She will respect you more and you will get your money's worth. I had one girl that was really, really hot (a 9 by most standards) so I was willing to go to 800 yuan but that was a real needle in the haystack.
KTVs: Too much going on here so it's hard to score. Most of the girls have a boyfriend so unless you throw a lot of money at them or they find you attractive, it won't be much fun. I use to go with my friends a lot but they have stopped going so I obviously cannot go by myself. My success rate is much, much higher than most but that is because I'm told that I look like this famous Chinese actor (75% in case you're wondering).
Saunas: This is where the best fun is but the problem is how to know which ones offer the fun. You get to choose the girl (most of the time) and the formal training means that you'll really get your money's worth! That may be 800-1, 000 yuan but it also can equate to the experience of a lifetime. One hour of sheer bliss. There are a few place that I go to with my friends but they're all older than me so they don't go as much. Again, I like to go with my friend because I was born in the US and so I can still be somewhat chicken $#! When it comes to going by myself.

It's my first post here so but I am an experienced mongerer in Beijing. Thought I'd share some of my experiences with all of you to see if we all have common experiences:
Agencies: Maria's, Angel's, etc. Are good if you are at the hotel or apartment and really don't feel like heading out. The pictures are never accurate so don't fall for the 500 yuan gets you this, 600 yuan gets you that and 900 yuan gets you the model. It's the same tactic all over the world and there are still people that fall for it. Guess there's one born every second. Just as for the lowest price and tell them what you like (I. E., short, tall, big breasts, skinny, long hair, short hair, approximate age). The more you tell them, the more likely you'll get something within range of what you want. It will never be perfect.
CL: All of the pictures are fake. I've used it enough to know. It is a no-win situation with CL. Most are agencies who end up calling girls up to see who can make it. You almost never get what you want as they have no contol anyway. Whoever is available is whatever you get so in that sense, using the aforementioned Agencies will yield a better result. Nonetheless, if you are going for CL, you will notice many different prices 200-300 yuan for oil massages 800-1, 000 yuan for two hours of GFE. Believe me that you'll feel pretty darn stupid when they leave in forty minutes. You'll also want them to because it is not GFE. Therefore, what I would do is go for the 200 yuan oil massage (no taxi fee and state this on the phone) and expect nothing more. If the gal that shows up is attractive and has a nice attitude, let her know right when the massage begins that you've always paid 600 yuan for "chuan tao" or the whole shebang. She will respect you more and you will get your money's worth. I had one girl that was really, really hot (a 9 by most standards) so I was willing to go to 800 yuan but that was a real needle in the haystack.
KTVs: Too much going on here so it's hard to score. Most of the girls have a boyfriend so unless you throw a lot of money at them or they find you attractive, it won't be much fun. I use to go with my friends a lot but they have stopped going so I obviously cannot go by myself. My success rate is much, much higher than most but that is because I'm told that I look like this famous Chinese actor (75% in case you're wondering).

If you see a Western guy with a Maggie's pin, he's not for takeout either. It's me, and I just have stolen the pin from a screaming barmaiden again.

Tuesday night started at Lido Pub. Surprising not many sisters and only Chinese. Quantity good Quality poor. Took a new guy I met at Lido to see Hollywood at about 10:30. Good tip about the Mongolians, though you have to be there pretty late when the gang shows up. Are vodka drinks as pricey as the inflated lady-drinks the bar girls order? I feel kinda weird though when I'm spending time with a bargirl and a Mongolian stops by to say hello. I'm also fascinated when I hear them speak their exotic and guttural language.
I was recently there in a dream. It was snowing the first two days. The news said it was the most snow they'd gotten in 50 years. How lucky am I? So true - after spending several thousand RM's buying drinks for the bar girls I have come to the conclusion its not worth it if your main objective is to monger. Its better to get their a bit late and only focus on the working girls. Once you spend any time with a bar girl its hard to dis-engage and go for a working girl. Also, the next time you drop by, the bar girl will target you.

I have been going to Hollywood for the last 6 or 7 years. Now I do not go there every night – very infrequently in fact – BUT – I do read EVERY report in this thread – trust me – not many other ISG’ers go to H.
Remember – Hollywood is / was designed for Chinese customers to meet Russian girls – it NEVER was designed for westerners – they are welcome - but you must admit you never really felt they would become your best friends there.
As for pricing – from the first time I step foot in Hollywood – and in the early days it was Russian girls only – no Mongols – no Chinese – the price was always RMB800 ST – whatever you could negotiate LT.
At about the time of the pre-Olympic lock down – it may have been before or after Hollywood re-opened – but the ST rate for ALL girls went to RMB1,000. Since that date - every girl I have talked to their asked RMB1,000 - but they will settle for RMB800 in many cases.

1. I rarely ever see western guys at H. The only reason why I go a lot is because my Chinese work friends and clients want me to take them there so I could go up and talk to the girls. Most of my Chinese mates are total scardy cats when it comes to approaching western women in the rather unfriendly atmosphere of H.
2. The business model is for Chinese guys meeting Russian girls. I must admit the staff became a bit more friendly during the last 12 months - because business was very bad - but its not designed for us round eyes. I would also agree, most of the Chinese guys who frequent H would never use ISG.
3. The business model is fixed. For the girls who come with mama'sans they need to make 1000RM for ST (800RM in the old days). Taking less up front and missing out on 1000RM later does not work for them as they have to pay some fixed costs. There are a lot of older posts on the business model at H if you wish to read them. When the girls leave for dinner at midnight they can be convinced to take less - after they have eaten. But during work time - no way.
4. The only exception could be the northern sisters - these girls do not have mama'sans to my knowledge - they may be more flexible.
5. There is something fishy about H - so better to not cause any issues in the establishment.

1.) If you are into the bargirl thing, it is not hard to disengage at all. You simply declare that you now desire a girl to take home. If asked, the bargirl will even assist you in finding a suitable one.
2.) When with a bargirl, I recommend paying in cash on a per drink basis. You keep your expenses better under control this way. If you have been there more often, they let you surrender your credit card and you can run a tab. If you are a very established long-time customer, you can run a tab without surrendering the card. In the past, there had been instances of bill padding. After we complained, that activity has ceased. But be on the lookout.
3.) You are expected to tip the bargirl, anywhere between 300 and 500, depending on the length of the time. It can get expensive. If she gets too aggressive ordering drinks and pushing for Champagne, simply say that if she doesn't shut up, then this was the last drink, and no tip for her.
4.) A Mongolian girl asking for a bottle of champagne is a scandal. 2000 for an hour is way off the scale also. The typical Northern sister will be grateful if you buy her a drink, and the rate is 1000. The Mongolian girl does not get a cut from the drink (the bargirls do, whatever they tell you.)
5.) If you want to be the center of attention of a group of Mongolians, find the ringleader of a tribe and offer to buy a bottle of vodka with mixers for all the girls in the tribe. You'll be surrounded by 6 - 10 girls, and most of the guys at M's will hate you.

I Went there at 2 pm. It was quit with a few costumes. The place is at low key place. Although it has a huge sign on the front wall, but the door is small. You walk in the small door and find you are in a small space facing an elevator door. There are two guys out side of the door and will call the elevator for you. Once up to the upper level, you will find you are in a 5 star hotel like luxury lobby greeted by young ladies. If you are the member of the club, you may walk into the place and changing cloths. I enjoyed the hot water pool, then the sauna for about two hours while talking to my friends over the phone for some business. I was dried by the boys, then free dinner was offered that come with the entrance fee. Unlike other sauna offer buffet, here you were offered the food on the Manuel. It was cooked individually and excellent.
After dinner, I was offer a VIP room for resting. The young lady with black suit will guide you to the room. Once inside the room, I was offered the massage from a Manuel. I choose the highest on the manual 598 for 60 Minutes and additional 30 minutes for 398 as package; this is the only one with full service including FS. The VIP room has a full bathroom with shower and bathtubs I was first offer a lineup of 3. I asked more.
Then a line up of 4 came in. I choose #35 from Suzhou.
After the mamsan left, the girl helps me take off the cloth and we both went to take a shower. She washed me first then herself thoroughly. IMHO, what you preach about the Chinese WGs in S. China and their preference for Chinese punters is reversed when it comes to Mongolian WGs. Although they accept Chinese mongers, I reckon they prefer Laowai. Most of their Asian experience is with overseas Chinese because the venues they frequent either do not allow locals (Maggies) or locals do not patronize the places. You have a slight advantage here.

I went around 5-6th oct to beijing and stayed at the landmark hotel.
About 8 pm I ordered via Skype a massage service to my room.

Freeiva is a stark reminder of the old funinchina.com website (which has vanished from the earth.) The lingo is kinda similar. While funinchina offered "IPAs" (International Professional Assistants), Freeiva now hawks IVAs (International Valuable Assistants.) Not for free, of course.

At BBS, you can get away with murder paying 100-150 RMB for onsite, while Caucasians may have to pay 300 RMB. Regardless of race, if you pay more than 300 RMB at BBS, then you are a schmuck! In addition to paying local prices, the ABC usually gets the girls of his choice. As an ABC, you can have a lot of cheap fun at BBS (onsite or take-home). I can't tell you how many 18 and 19 year olds who are 8s and 9s at BBS who got very perky and have this "pick me" look when I walked into the place, especially after they heard my ABC accent. Cheapest I paid was 50 RMB in Suzhou. Normal is 150 RMB at big cities like Beijing/Shanghai/Shenzhen, 100 RMB at smaller cities like Taiyuan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changchun, Suzhou. In Taiyuan a year ago, I had a very tall 19 year-old who was a 9. 5 for 100 RMB wow I can still feel that shot! overview
barbershops (bbs) are basically everywhere in china. they are pretty much all over beijing too and even during the worst crackdowns a die hard few remain open. some of them never die whereas other come and go and yet others migrate over the town. given that, it is hard to do each one justice and have to generalize here terribly.
in general barbershops are little premises usually marked with the red, white and blue barber pole or a variation of that. sometimes reddish bordello light is used to illuminates the inside, some make more of a pretense to be legit barbershops, some less - the specific appearance can vary widely. so do opening times, but after lunch is a usual time to start. closing times though vary a lot from as early as 20:00 and as late as 1:00.
the shops usually consist of a front room, where the girls hang out. the number of girls can vary from anything between one single girl working on her own to half a dozen and they come in all shapes, sizes, attires and attitudes. somewhere then behind the front room comes the back room or rooms, where they got benches for the "massages". some shops even have a flat attached or nearby instead, which offers a bit more privace as well as a lot more room usually.
basic advice

sometimes girls ask to be paid in advance. whatever the excuse, simply do not do it because it just royally fucks over my previous advice: walk! you can't walk anymore once you handed over the money. i mean ... sure you can but do not expect a refund. also do not pay any part of the agreed fee because 'the management wants 50 basic fee in advance before we head back' or any story like that. in my experience it is just to sucker you in, once you paid 50 you are probably more willing to put up with other nonsense like sudden raise of price, suddenly oral not being part of the deal anymore etc. etc..
to sum it up: if you speak a bit mandarin, don't beat around the bush, don't pay in advance and are ready to walk in the firm knowlege that if the shop you are at is not reasonable probably the next one will, then st bj/fs is a definite possibility in beijing. maybe not with every girl you see, but with enough of them.

guandongdian beijie 关东店北街 - hujialou station, line 10
guandongdian beijie has been reported upon here regularly as the hujialou shops. again the bbs are more along the eastern end close to the hujialou subway station. the shops split roughly equal between guandongdian beijie itself and the much, much bigger chaoyang beilu it runs paralel to. the area seems very resilent against crackdowns, they were the last to close and first to reopen during the olympics and also during the 60 years anniversary only missed a heartbeat. i had been there the day after (chinese) new years eve and found service. one bad apple in the whole bunch though (see details below).

chaoyangmen beixiaojie 朝阳门北小街 - between zhangzizhong line 5 and dongsishitiao line 2
chaoyangmen beixiaojie has a lot of hutongs going off to the west heading for dongsi beidajie. several of these will sport a few bbs along the first few meters. actually the whole hutong area of dongcheng district framed by the subway lines 5 and 2 sports a lot of shops, but they are all rep001tered here and there. best is to start checking north and south from where chaoyangmen beidajie, dongzhimen nanxiaojie 东直门南小街 and dongsishitiao 东四十 street intersect. in this area it really pays off to be on bike.

the hutong area southwest of tiananmen square i only mention out of nostalgia. there are still bbs there with full service, but not like in the old days. before that area got a facelift there was definitely more going on and during the qing dynasty it was known as the red light district of beijing, the "eight alley hutongs". walk down dazhalan past the new pedestrian area till you reach the far east hotel and qianmenxihe 前门西河沿街 hutong if you are in the area.

one shop i really, really, really like to warn about. let me spell out clearly where it is:

now, i had been to that place before. twice. always left without doing any business there because each time the place seemed fishy. ladies fast agree to anything you ask, but then insist on advance payment, even when i was leaving. very good sign that something is not right.
after a few months i thought to give the place another try. management often changes, girls come and go, so let's have a look again. remembered though how the last times went so asked for the whole set (bj, fs, roleplay, 200 rmb, pay after). i should have known something was up because they remembered me from the last time. but anyhow. they agreed though i'd pay afterwards so i thought, hey - glad the place improved.
so went to the nearby flat, started the story. midway thru the session though, the lady starts to plain refuse to either suck or spread. when i slowly realized this was not part of the act anymore i was told - now listen to that - that we agreed to roleplay, so no real sex should be involved, right? just you know, act as if? yes?
i have to admit i at that point was really baffled by that reasoning. it clearly was a rip off of course, i was upset, but i had to admit: that was quite a feat of lateral thinking. agreeing to roleplay and then insist we only act as if. annoying as hell of course, but i could not help but give her 100 not so much "for the effort", but much more so for her chuzpe. i probably could have gone out with throwing her just 50, but i think she deserved 100. that and an honorary degree in law.
and an honorable mention here. well played, i was impressed - please avoid though.

The BBS of course supply you with rubbers, but I always bring my own. Size matters and I imagine it gives a good impression to the girls.

Maggies was not that exciting when I was there. The few Chinese girls there, who were fairly good-looking, did not do sex. They only serve you the drinks and offer conversations. much in the same spirit as sammy posted a basic primer about the expat bar scene a while ago, i like to follow suit and write down my current take on the bbs scene of beijing. all as usually reasearched from the back of my bicycle.
before i forget to mention: this friday i will head out with irv washington to give him a tour. anyone who likes to join can pm me, probably won't take along one-post-wonders though (sorry, better save than sorry).
overview
barbershops (bbs) are basically everywhere in china. they are pretty much all over beijing too and even during the worst crackdowns a die hard few remain open. some of them never die whereas other come and go and yet others migrate over the town. given that, it is hard to do each one justice and have to generalize here terribly.
in general barbershops are little premises usually marked with the red, white and blue barber pole or a variation of that. sometimes reddish bordello light is used to illuminates the inside, some make more of a pretense to be legit barbershops, some less. the specific appearance can vary widely. so do opening times, but after lunch is a usual time to start. closing times though vary a lot from as early as 20:00 and as late as 1:00.
the shops usually consist of a front room, where the girls hang out. the number of girls can vary from anything between one single girl working on her own to half a dozen and they come in all shapes, sizes, attires and attitudes. somewhere then behind the front room comes the back room or rooms, where they got benches for the "massages". some shops even have a flat attached or nearby instead, which offers a bit more privace as well as a lot more room usually.
basic advice
here 5 essentials you should know when considering a romp in a bbs:
language:
mandarin please, we are in china. one can get along with sign language and a bit spirit of adventure (as cheftype's posts show) but if you can not summon that or at least a bit basic mandarin then you will have a hard time.
clarity & service range:
not every girl offers fs. some only work hjs. some even just dress up sexy yet offer no sex at all and only try to coax you into a massage. thus be clear in what you want and tell it. outcall is not common and will cost extra and many girls refuse it flatly for security reasons. i am not into anal, but i doubt it is much on offer anyhow.
prices:
i pay 200 rmb for st bj/fs session. fernando alonso wrote he has a hard time getting the girls below 300 rmb, but i have no idea why. maybe he does not follow my next piece of advice, which i consider the most essential of all of them.
walk!
if you dislike anything, just walk. if a girl insists on 300 rmb or insists on payment in advance or anything like that: just go and take your business elsewhere. there are literally dozens of shops around, including reasonable ones. matter of fact, many girls become very reasonable very fast when you are about to leave. i regularly get quoted 500 rmb initially or pay up front, dropping to 200 / pay after when i head for the door. it does not work everytime, some girls just will not go lower than 300 (which is okay if you really think she is better than all the others) and some will insist on advance payment (which is not okay, see below).
no advance payment:
sometimes girls ask to be paid in advance. whatever the excuse, simply do not do it because it just royally fucks over my previous advice: walk! you can't walk anymore once you handed over the money. i mean. sure you can but do not expect a refund. also do not pay any part of the agreed fee because 'the management wants 50 basic fee in advance before we head back' or any story like that. in my experience it is just to sucker you in, once you paid 50 you are probably more willing to put up with other nonsense like sudden raise of price, suddenly oral not being part of the deal anymore etc. etc.
to sum it up: if you speak a bit mandarin, don't beat around the bush, don't pay in advance and are ready to walk in the firm knowlege that if the shop you are at is not reasonable probably the next one will, then st bj/fs is a definite possibility in beijing. maybe not with every girl you see, but with enough of them.

there are a lot more shops than the following 5 locations. but the ones i picked below are where a couple of shops cluster in one area.

qingniangou lu had been down for quite a while, but is back now pretty well. most of the shops, maybe 10 are along the eastern arm of qingniangou lu (though the western arm also has several) and are pretty obvious. qingniangou lu is actually a pretty wide, tree lined street even the most scared visitor should feel fine to stroll.

guandongdian beijie?. hujialou station, line 10
guandongdian beijie has been reported upon here regularly as the hujialou shops. again the bbs are more along the eastern end close to the hujialou subway station. the shops split roughly equal between guandongdian beijie itself and the much, much bigger chaoyang beilu it runs paralel to. the area seems very resilent against crackdowns, they were the last to close and first to reopen during the olympics and also during the 60 years anniversary only missed a heartbeat. i had been there the day after (chinese) new years eve and found service. one bad apple in the whole bunch though (see details below).

chaoyangmen beixiaojie has a lot of hutongs going off to the west heading for dongsi beidajie. several of these will sport a few bbs along the first few meters. actually the whole hutong area of dongcheng district framed by the subway lines 5 and 2 sports a lot of shops, but they are all rep001tered here and there. best is to start checking north and south from where chaoyangmen beidajie, dongzhimen nanxiaojie? and dongsishitiao? street intersect. in this area it really pays off to be on bike.

Should be one not showing all of Beijing, but just about till the 3rd ring, yet shop the subway lines, etc. etc..
Was too much work so in the end I just linked to an online map. But with my proxy, my own links do not open so I can't check what they display to you. But if you just paste and copy what I wrote in Chinese then you will get marks onto your map. Probably any Chinese online map you use.

Again I stand ashamed, not as handsome as Andreas (whose Chinese is also highly praised by a once famous WG he found and I also enjoyed), overpaying BSD, not being able to link a report of distinction and so on. I usually end up at 300 but will have to try harder.
One thing that has bothered me in BBS is being rushed and hassled about being quick, I have not yet found any exceptions to this.

I am still waiting for your visit to CP. It is partially my fault that we did not hook-up when you were in Shenzhen but it is my turn to reciprocate for your endless hospitality on my turf.

Hey guys, first time monger here in China, going to do a report here before I head off to bed, it's very late for me as I have to work early in the morning. Also my first time posting a review/report so please let me know if I give too many/too little detail.
I decided on going to a sauna style based on the blue lake review the previous page as it seemed like the most different from my GFE hobbying in the USA. I did not go to blue lake, instead I just headed to a reasonably well lit place with the word "shower" on it. The place is near Tuanjiehu station.
I have to first place a disclaimer. I am an ABC with a reasonable grasp of Chinese so what follows is reflective of that so YMMV. Unfortunately I have no grasp of the necessary terms in Chinese so it lead to some difficulties.
I went to the place and showered, had to ask for directions a few times and was not asked to pick ahead of time from a menu. I decided on a "Thai 3 style massage" after showering and talking to a male employee. The price in my head at that point was about 50 for shower, 150 for massage, and 50 for room, far off from that 1k that the earlier monger quoted.
The guy showed me to a room as he showed me a common area first. Then he asked if I wanted anyone specific and I just stated the bring out the goods. What comes after was just one girl. She was dressed in work cloths and with the dim light I couldn't tell her age (turned out to be at least late 20's to mid 30's.) I decided I was too embarrassed to ask for another girl anyways and went with her (No. 17)
She starts off with the Thai massage and there I was with a half/half the whole time. She never brushed against it but thankfully I got the message anyways from the setting and her attire. Eventually I think she asked me to "rub oil" which I guess meant a HJ, I was hoping for more so I asked for more. After an hour of what I think was reasonable chemistry I began to ask what services there were and explained that I was not familiar with the local language. She quoted 3 prices for me 580 for "fast meal" 680 for "mouth luck" and 808 for "chest push" and Asian. I decided to go for the 808 and told her so, it was some time around here that I found that the Thai massage and room fee were going to be going to be included in the 808.
In started the 2nd hour and things kicked up to a higher gear right away. She did the, from what I understand, very usual things. Eventually 1rst cup/pop (not sure what term it is on this board) was served. When I asked for the 2nd she told me she only brought one wrapper but she'll get a second one just for me. She later told me that they usually only do 1 serving and that I was special (I don't believe it, any opinions?)
During the second cup I was more comfortable and went to DATY which I understood to be kind of a rare thing. No. 17 was very responsive and tasted very clean, don't know if that's the case everywhere. Second time around was better for me because I went to the Y IMO.
There was a bit of GFE throughout the experience, I would of rated this provider as a GFE stateside, but again this might be due to my skin color and basic grasp of non-mongering language.
Total damage was around 855.
Girl was probably a 7 face but 8 body. Clean and smelled good. A little bit of either over sensitivity or Hollywood (despite being ABC I have very little encounters with Asians) It was very real during the DATY though.
Would like to check out the BBS scene next as the price seems really good, but if I do go back to the sauna again specifically for no. 17. I would just go for the 600 one with billy joel and FS as it was enjoyable. Asian was not my cup of tea even though novel. The oil massage I could of also done without as the thai was reasonable.

I agree whole heartedly about walking away if you don't like what's happening or feel uncomfortable. Last year I tried some MPs directly across from Lido Hotel and I think it was the first time I had to 'walk away'. A short pretty girl who had been standing in the door calling me to come in for a "sex massage" took me to a room in the back and negotiated a massage with HJ for 150. I agreed and the massage started but she did not really have any good massage skills. A few minutes later another girl knocks on the door, walks in and says two is even better. She wanted another 100. I know this is too much but I had never tried two before so I reluctantly agreed. A few minutes later, when my pants were already open, another knock and in comes another girl. I immediately said "No", but they were trying to entice me and told me only 50 more for a third girl. I insisted I didn't want this game but they wouldn't listen. I was still arguing with them when a 4th one knocked at the door. I sat up, zipped up my pants and said that since they won't listen I won't stay. I grabbed my coat and walked out. I have taken SammyT's excellent advice from "A post for the new guys" and have subscribed as of today, hopefully picture viewing and PM's will be available in the next 24 hours or less.
I also agree with Sammy's advice about us newbies introducing ourselves. So here we go. I have done some mongering in Thailand, mainly in BKK, CM and Pattaya, also I have been on one trip to Cambodia. I have been to Thailand 3 times, usually for 6-8 weeks at a time. I have to say that after reading this forum for a week I realized that I am really a "babe in the woods" compared to some of the posters here, I am enthusiastic though! As for my mongering preferences, at least in Thailand, I generally prefer to go to the pool/beer bars rather than the gogo's of Nana and Cowboy. I like to shoot pool, albeit badly, and I have found this is a good way to get to know the ladies better. If there is no one I like I can move on to another bar. I have had a lot of good luck at Queens Park Plaza on Soi 22 Sukhumvit. On my last trip to Thailand earlier this year I found the gogo's to be more high pressure with the Mamasan sending over girls even after being told that we like to choose for ourselves and the girls just plunking themselves down next to me and not getting the hint when I show no interest. My friends and I also noticed an increase in drink scams, etc. It is also much harder to talk with the girls with the music blasting. As well, I have found that drinks, barfines and prices for ST/LT are less at the places I like to frequent and if you look around enough you can find some stunners and I find that you get a better value for your Baht from the girls at the beer bars. At least that is my opinion, maybe I have just gotten lucky.
Some of you are probably wondering why I am posting in the China forum, well it looks like I will possibly be in Beijing and Shanghai in April 2010 and I will likely be posting here once in awhile. I have been doing a fair bit of reading so I am getting a pretty good overview but I may have a specific question from time to time, I hope you guys will help. Only fair that I introduce myself, before asking for your assistance. I have been to Shanghai twice but did not do any mongering as I did not know the lay of the land and I stay with relatives whilst there. With the help of ISG and its members I hope to remedy my lack of mongering in China!

It depends of course a lot of how the girls react when I get in. But in general I think you need to man up a bit there. View it like this: Do you really think you would be the very first guy who comes in eventually asking "... so excuse me, oral is how much today?"
- Anyhow, let's say they girls ask "You want a massage?" which is a common opening line.
- Then I can reply with "Nice! How much would a massage be?"
- Let's say they tell me 50, which tells me already if they try to overcharge or not.
- I then could move on and ask: "Okay fine, but how much would it be to have a bit fun instead?"
- Now someone will need to clarify what I mean with fun. Either they ask "You mean fuck?" or they may ask "What you mean with fun?" where I then say "Well, let's say fuck and suck. How about that? And btw all Beauties here are up for that or is there some division?"
- Topic breached, from there it is to negotiate details. Often they prefer to negotiate this one on one in a backroom, which is fine with me (as long as they do not try to charge for that).
- Nothing starts before I did not have a clear outline of what will be going on. Which should be ST FS/BJ at max. 200 RMB paid after. Dirty talk preferred, roleplay included if I am in the mood for it.
This whole procedure is usually interrupted though by small talk and banter. I am a laowai, so I am asked where I am from, I ask back where they are from, they claim my Chinese is very good, I joke back their Chinese is also very good etc., etc..
At other times the girls are maybe intimidated into silence when a laowai comes into their shop so then I usually just throw them a few small talk lines to get across I speak Chinese and they need not to worry. Eventually they will ask about massage, if not then I will.
It is really not all that hard. Just treat the whole thing as if you were going to hiring an entertainer (which you are) or buying a DVD. Be sociable yet businesslike. And stop being so intimidated by the fact that some odd folks have serious issues. Like seriously thinking there is an imaginary friend somewhere up in the sky giving a rat's ass which willy goes up EXACTLY up which pussy. What a creepy freak that would be indeed.
So as said, man up a bit, treat that whole thing a bit more realistic (aka less serious) and stop being so stiff about it. There is no invisible ghost watching you and the girls surely do not mind business. They may or may not mind their situation, but they surely prefer their business plan to work out rather than not. Personally I am a lot more awkward about the girls I do NOT have business with than those I do (assuming of course they have been completely reasonable otherwise) but no one can go with all of them.
If you are awkward then of course it will be awkward. If you are sociable then they will be sociable. If you are sociable and they are hostile - walk (or stay if you are submissive and that treatment is right up your alley).
About Jintailu: I looked up the street and it seems to be the Lido area. I am rarely in that area, last time was maybe 2008. Someone else may have better info on that.
What would you guys think of organizing an Beijing chapter of ISG christmas party? We pick a week night sometime in the next 2 weeks, and ask Maggie's Management to close for a "private party" from say 8 pm to 11 pm. Nothing really gets started until after 11 pm, so they will not be missing out on much. We can all then get together and not worry about spectators judging our activities. We would set an admission price to cover food and beverages for everyone (girls don't pay). If we set a date now it would give the guys from outside of Beijing (BBB, OAH, ect) a chance to come up with an excuse to visit Beijing and attend.
I am certain I can get a lot of girls to turn out early for such an event if there are enough guys interest. To be honest, it is harder for me to get a group of guys together than it is for me to get the girls together. If you are interested then send me a PM with the amount of money you would be willing to spend for such a party. I am thinking of something in the neighborhood of 300 RMB per man. Just to be clear - admission money would be for food and drink, any other activities would need to be netgotiated with the provider on a case by case basis. Although I can certainly suggest to the girls that all of the guys attending will be my good friends, and they should not quote any outragious prices.

I meet a lot of mongers that for whatever reason hestitate to ask what is available at BBS. I don't have much experience in Beijing but my strateg works in the South. I start by asking what services are available. A nice way of asking for FS is " a set" in Chinese. This does not guarantee you a BBBJ, however. It is imperative that you clarify you want BBBJ since many BBS girls will try to get out of doing a BJ period. I often even clarify that I want CIM which is very hard to find in BBS.

I am a true blue Newbie to Beijing staying at the Lido Hotel.
Based on this helpful note posted recently on ISG about Maria's blog I phoned the number listed on the website about 11:15PM last night. A lady answered and spoke basic English. Did not ask if I wanted a particular lady, just quoted the price and length of the visit. Later in the conversation I asked about one lady that caught my eye but she quickly said she was not available.
Go with the flow, that's fine. She asked for the hotel phone # and my room number and concluded the call. A moment later the phone rang again. She was confirming the appt and said a lady would be in the lobby in about 30 minutes. Sure enough, I had a call in 30min (or less) and was told a lady in a red jacket was waiting for me.
Went downstairs and escorted my guest to the room. No English skills, but that has never stopped me in the past. Nice enough girl, nice body/face, 7. 5 all the way around.
Went through the motions with no real problems. Minimal BJ, but no real rush. By the end she was complaining about my 'didi'. I'm sure she says that to all of the guys. If she would have only spent more time on the BJ warm up she might have been a little different.
All in 500rmb + 50 tip to test the waters. She was fine with the amount. Didn't know if she would ask for taxi fare, etc.
I can't complain, she came over promptly, no problems, and about in about 60 min. Surely could have gotten more for less in other places, but you have to start somewhere. So this was my first Beijing experience.

I am also surprised that the Lido allowed you to take a girl to your room after 11 pm. It has always been their firm policy that only registered guests can go to the room after about 10:30 pm, and certainly after 11 pm. I was not aware this policy had changed.

ammy: security has changed at the Lido in the last 6 months. They will usually ask for the girls I'd if you go by the front desk but there are no security people in the center area elevators so they normally don't see you going up.

I agree Wednesday night was strange. There were not the usual crowd and the most guys I have seen in Maggies in years. The guys did out number thr girls and some of the girls were definately taking advantage of it. I would say the girls were mediocre at best for a Maggies crowd and I left around 1:30 AM there were not a lot of the real good Northern Sisters and a lot of new faces. Quick report on a visit to Sunshine Club / Top Club near Sheraton Great Wall. Sadly, it is not a positive report. Of course, as the buyer, I have myself to blame as well as the business.
I guess the general theme is caveat emptor and if you do not speak Mandarin well enough to have a detailed conversation at this facility on the specifics of the topics, then be doubly alert.
From a facilities perspective, the place is about 400 paces east on the road directly south of the Sheraton Great Wall complex. Well marked signage makes for a clear approach with little uncertainty. The parking guard covering up license plates was amusing. Upon entry into the lobby, one is greeted, so to speak, by a hostess. On my visit no one spoke English and sadly they could not understand my Mandarin and thus we resorted to pointing at the menu board to compliment language attempts. The spa fee of 158RMB seemed a tad high, but then w/o detailed language explanations I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The locker room was spotless and well appointed with an efficient staff that was neither "too much" nor "too little." The spa facilities were enjoyable. Long hot shower with lots of water pressure followed by a relaxing soak in the large pool. The atmosphere was quite relaxing and the spa area was very well maintained, ventilated and clean. The floors have a number of "drain troughs" in them and they are capped with loose stones. If more seasoned views tell me my expectations were wrong, I am all ears.

Last Wednesday night I made my first venture out to Lidu and then Maggies. I have read some comments regarding that same night and have to say that point of view is almost everything. Wangabe, I admire your pluck for plunging right into the local scene despite your lack of language ability. The slang I think you were trying to use is 'da pao' 打炮, so it's possible that this was the source of the misunderstanding. But it's also the case that not all BBS offer FS, as opposed to HJ or TF. Others might offer FS at their discretion, only if they feel comfortable with you, which is less likely if you don't speak Chinese and/or if they have reason to think your didi will be too large.
You should keep trying. The BBS scene can be a gold mine for reasonably-priced service, as Andreas Wang has documented, but it takes patience.

I have worked out where I went wrong with my translation. Next time I will check this with my dictionary instead of using my limited brain power. Da Fee Gee - or to be more accurate dà fēi jī - is a slang term. A literal translation is Big Aeroplane, which was what I read it as. The problem was I added Gun at the end and made an assumption which ended up being wrong. My HK mate told me the Cantonese slang meaning is Shooting down the aeroplane. The Cantonese – like us poms – have a habit of creating slang terms which have no literal translation, but have a hidden meaning. Such as having a good rodgering, or Gordon Bennett, or Dog and Bone
So my effort in finding a literal translation has been a futile effort on my part.
My HK mate tells me the term comes from watching moves which show triple A (or anti-aircraft guns, such as a 40mm Bofor's) in action. If you have even seen AAA in action you may see the similarity. Thus when the plane is shot down, you have shot your load – so to speak.

I did not make it to the Christmas party, but was there a few days before. The place was not packed, but there were several girls around. I got a preview of the redecorated back half of the bar, which I believe should now be open to the public. The layout reminds me of a gentleman’s club back in The States - lots of leather chairs and private sitting areas. Happy New Year All! Went to Maggies last night from 1230. 3AM. New layout to me not as enjoyable as the old space. I am hoping the old area reopens as well as the new. Like the pool tables, yet feel the bar area is too small and overcrowded. Wandered through the back room for a look-C. Nice idea, but did not see ing any ladies with whom I wanted to chill with. Acoustics in the new section seem bad. It feels as if the ceiling is lower and thus the speakers are much closer to the top of the head. While I like the loud music, last night was simply too loud. The higher ceiling space in the "old" area had better acoustics in my humble view.
As for the ladies, last night was a disappointment. A lot of 5's and 6's and a maybe a 7 or two. Did not seem like the usual crowd of ladies. A couple of absurdly "hard sell" come ons and then a few ladies did not even raise to the proverbial fly cast in front of them. (They were unaccompanied "singles, " and thus not someone elses' dates.
Sebastian, I think you are right. Much of the good talent takes the holiday season off. We will see what January brings.
Overall, I want the old Maggies back. I guess I do not accept change gracefully.

KTVs is IMO one of the best place to meet attractive, young, sexy, cute and adorable Chinese girls. For those of you, who haven't been to a "red-light" KTV are probably wondering what is this guy talking about? I can't sing and everytime I go to PartyWorld with my friends I see no girls! Patience my friends because you are about to be enlightened (and warned)!
"Red-light" KTVs are all over the city, and they come in all shapes and sizes ranging from Ultra high end to dirty torn down hutong. "So how do I know if it's a legit KTV or not? " You can't really tell from outside so you have to ask at the counter, but I will explain in details later.
My advice:
1. If you can't speak Chinese then it will be better if you bring a Chinese friend/co-worker along to avoid all the traps and scams. Also keep in mind that these young girls are all Chinese and their English skills are very limited. A local person would also know which KTVs are "red-light", if not then you have to ask at the counter if they have conversation girls (? /you mei you xiao jie?). In my experience conversation girls are not all WG, but they are most likely semi or can hook you up with a WG.
2. When they bring the girls (6-10 girls lined up) then don't hesitate to tell the waiter/mamasan if you are not satisfied. Don't be shy, its not the first time they get this.
3. Be sure to negotiate and clarify prices before they bring you ANYTHING (girls, drinks, food etc.), and ask if there are any other hidden fees (eg.? /you mei you bie de xiao fei?).
The places I usually go are not high end like? (I can't afford spending 5000-8000 a night), but my friends and I in general pay 500-700 total for a private room for 4, one girl each, drinks and snacks.
When you have had enough fun singing and drinking you can ask your girl if she wants to have a private party with you. If she declines then ask her to showcase girls that are willing. Prices depends on your charm/negotiation skills, but I usually pay 500-600 for a sleepover with a grade 7-8, 18-23 year old Chinese girl.
4. Most important advice! Never ever let the girls get the upper hand. In this I mean never let the girls order anything! I can stress this enough! If you ignore this fact you will most likely end up with a huge bill, so don't forget.
5. Last but not least don't get too drunk and fall asleep; p
Some of the place I frequently visit (I suppose its okay I write the name and address of these places since they are all doing legal business and no illegal activities are offered at their premises):
1. Expressway disco/club (? Disco) located at Chaoyang Men Wai Da Jie (?)next to Kuntai shopping center has a KTV as well.
Price for 4 guys: 300 for a private room for 3 hours and 100 pr/girl sitting with you. Free flow of beers!
2. Houhai KTVs are affiliated with the clubs in Houhai/Di An Men Wai Da Jie(? /?).
Price for 4 guys: 200-400 for a private room (depending on season and busyness in Houhai) and 100 pr/girl sitting with you. Drinks. Look at the menu.
3. I forgot the name but its located 200 meters down Xiao Shi Tiao Hutong (?) when come from Jiu Gu Lou Da Jie (?).
Price for 4 guys: 300-500 for a private room (you can bargain depending how busy they are) and 200 pr/girl sitting with you. Drinks. Look at the menu. The KTV is located on the first floor, and 3rd floor has a small hotel for fun.

As I had to make an emergency last minute shopping trip in the cold night I decided at least to go for some quick fun and was not disappointed.
Leave the Carrefour beside the Exhibition Center (3rd ring Northeast) and cross the footbridge, continue the small street until the next crossing and turn right. This street (Jingan East) has a couple of options (BBS, Spas, MPs). I did a google map search to double check and its just called ChaoYangMen Bei Xiao Jie. No Nei = inner but also not Wai = outer. The street is not big so I am not sure if we are talking about the same street？ (could you maybe try to google it yourself to clarify if its the same street, sry) there are probably 6 or some MP and 4-5 BBS in close vicinity.

The places I usually go are not high end like? (I can't afford spending 5000-8000 a night), but my friends and I in general pay 500-700 total for a private room for 4, one girl each, drinks and snacks.
When you have had enough fun singing and drinking you can ask your girl if she wants to have a private party with you. If she declines then ask her to showcase girls that are willing. Prices depends on your charm/negotiation skills, but I usually pay 500-600 for a sleepover with a grade 7-8, 18-23 year old Chinese girl.
4. Most important advice! Never ever let the girls get the upper hand. In this I mean never let the girls order anything! I can stress this enough! If you ignore this fact you will most likely end up with a huge bill, so don't forget.
5. Last but not least don't get too drunk and fall asleep; p
Some of the place I frequently visit (I suppose its okay I write the name and address of these places since they are all doing legal business and no illegal activities are offered at their premises):
1. Expressway disco/club (? Disco) located at Chaoyang Men Wai Da Jie (?)next to Kuntai shopping center has a KTV as well.
Price for 4 guys: 300 for a private room for 3 hours and 100 pr/girl sitting with you. Free flow of beers!
2. Houhai KTVs are affiliated with the clubs in Houhai/Di An Men Wai Da Jie(? /?).
Price for 4 guys: 200-400 for a private room (depending on season and busyness in Houhai) and 100 pr/girl sitting with you. Drinks. Look at the menu.
3. I forgot the name but its located 200 meters down Xiao Shi Tiao Hutong (?) when come from Jiu Gu Lou Da Jie (?).
Price for 4 guys: 300-500 for a private room (you can bargain depending how busy they are) and 200 pr/girl sitting with you. Drinks. Look at the menu. The KTV is located on the first floor, and 3rd floor has a small hotel for fun.

The girls go home to papa and mama. Beijing will be absolutely dead in the week of Feb 14, except for WW III style fireworks the whole week long. Stores closed. Things will slowly get back to normal first week of March.

3. The business model is fixed. For the girls who come with mama'sans they need to make 1000RM for ST (800RM in the old days). Taking less up front and missing out on 1000RM later does not work for them as they have to pay some fixed costs. There are a lot of older posts on the business model at H if you wish to read them. When the girls leave for dinner at midnight they can be convinced to take less - after they have eaten. But during work time - no way.
I was in Hollywood and was looking for someone I met a year ago (800 ST).
I chatted with an uzbek girl who quoted 1000 and will not go down, even after cold midnight. Lonewolf, reading you post, I am not so sure if you are looking for girls to seat next to you and nothing more or if you are looking for a sleepover?
Anywho, you should hit the bars, clubs, and forget about these dreadful KTV. Unless they are made for it; however, many have been closed in BJ since the 2008 Games. The trade went hard into the wild since the LE rocked the rules.
For what you are paying so far, energy and time, you would find yourself a real nice, experienced, sleepover which would rock your world.
PS. PartyWorld KTVs are for kids and families during the day, students after dinner. 5% to score a working girl. 25% to score a freebie.

Bars in SanLiTun are IMOovercrowded with premature totally wasted expats/students which I tend to get annoyed of. If I want to have a drink at a bar I would hit Houhai/Qianhai bars, but from my experience that's not the place to pick up a girl unless you go to some of the "lady-bars" which is totally unsafe.
Clubs; yes they have WG or semiWG, but I just don't like going home with bleeding ears from the high volumn clubbing music, but that's just me.

Well I listed three places that do offer this kind of fun, and just because its you I will list one more. About 200 meter west from XinHai JinJiang Hotel on Jin Bao Jie. Stay on the right side of the road and look for a backyard with flashing neon palms and you are there. Prices are almost the same as earlier mentioned places.

I am paying a small amount to have a good time in a private environment where I can choose taste of music and the loudness, and at the same time be accompanied by some lovely young Chinese girls. It's not 100% sure that they will go home with you, but if you treat them nice and make them feel safe and comfortable with you I would say the odds are 75%. If all fails you just ask them to bring out the pros.
I just mentioned PartyWorld as an example of a legit KTV, and I would never dream of going there in hopes of finding a girl.

As I had to make an emergency last minute shopping trip in the cold night I decided at least to go for some quick fun and was not disappointed.
Leave the Carrefour beside the Exhibition Center (3rd ring Northeast) and cross the footbridge, continue the small street until the next crossing and turn right. This street has a couple of options (BBS, Spas, MPs). At the next crossing cross the road, there is an area with several beauty parlours and a a little hidden BBS with 5 to 6 girls, among two very beautiful ones.

I typically frequent the Shanghai-scene (though I refrain from reporting to much these days because of the increasing heat before the Expo) and have only been to BJ once (spring before the Olympics so the experience has not been memorable when it comes to P4P).
For my second visit in the first week of February I am currently catching up with all the reports here but since I have a (Chinese) girlfriend now who will travel with me, I have to plan well. It seems like you don't read the China Thread. This happens every year around the world, people celebrating Chinese News Year. It's like Christmas, Thanksgiving and the New Year in one period. It's estimated well over 100 million people go home for the holiday. They will reunite with their families and relatives. It is the largest annual human migration in the world. If you don't know about Chinese New Year you probably don't know prostitution is ILLEGAL in China. You can go to jail, fined and kicked out. Just before CNY there are always crackdowns.
Feb in Beijing, it will be damn cold. You don't want to go out if a storm hits.

you are sure you mean chaoyangmen inner street? the 2 mps with stairs leading downstairs are i thought in outer (the big one) and only te first offers normally fs?lonewolf probably refers to "chaoyangmen little north street" 朝阳门北小街 inside the 2nd ring and not the hujialou 呼家楼 area cose to the 3rd ring. i mentioned that area in my 2009 report:
chaoyangmen beixiaojie 朝阳门北小街 - between zhangzizhong line 5 and dongsishitiao line 2
chaoyangmen beixiaojie has a lot of hutongs going off to the west heading towards dongsi beidajie. several of these will sport a few bbs along the first few meters. actually the whole hutong area of dongcheng district framed by the subway lines 5 and 2 sports a lot of shops, but they are all rep001tered here and there. best is to start checking north and south from where chaoyangmen beidajie, dongzhimen nanxiaojie 东直门南小街 and dongsishitiao 东四十 street intersect. in this area it really pays off to be on bike.

Decided to go on a tour then to check other areas and again the same.
I was REALLY surpsied by that. I also thought IF the girls ever take a few days off then it WILL be over Chinese New Year. But was not the case. Sure, many did close and on New Years Eve itself they all closed down early. But the very next day I got laid again then at the Hujialou area. Only in the name of science of course, I had to check if this all was maybe just an optical illusion or something like that. I of course also expected a week long lull and Beijing totally deserted. But in the end it amounted to just one or two days getting out of step. As always, this is BBS I am talking about, not Expat Venues, KTV or Saunas.
I am already curious how the turnout will be this year.
