You have the agencies like Kitty or Angel, but the few times I tried Kitty it was hit or miss. Sometimes very miss. It is relatively affordable though. Otherwise, with indys and such it seems to be 1500+. That's pretty pricey for China when it doesn't include a full spa experience.
Speaking of spa experiences, I'm not sure if there's anything like what they (used to?) have down in Shanghai here in Beijing, which are spots similar to Macau minus the relaxed atmosphere and expansive facilities, or maybe better descried as Macau-lite. I tried a nearby spa (big red lit up signage that says "SPA") and it had nice facilities. But the packages were super expensive-- started at 399 all the way up to 1189. A little away from the main path but I like it. North of the Conrad is a nice out door mall area with nice restaurants, to the south east is the Temple of Sun where Maggie's and the Russian clubs are located. The Conrad is my usual place. A little away from the main path but I like it. North of the Conrad is a nice out door mall area with nice restaurants, to the south east is the Temple of Sun where Maggie's and the Russian clubs are located. I've been to Maggie's on both of my visits and although it's not like Shanghai clubs (not as many women) they won't usually come up to you. Prices are usually 50%-100% the asking price of Shanghai however I waited it out till late in the evening and was able to meet one at 1 k so be patient. You will have to shell out drinks as these women drink higher end drinks unlike Shanghai that doesn't really drink. Anyone who has stayed at the Conrad or knows where it is should be able to figure this out.
Leave Conrad, walk west (along road directly north of conrad) till you hit sanlitun nan lu, head north for around 3 minutes and hey presto you are outside Topwin, which backs onto sanlitun soho, which whilst not an outdoor mall is built in a way that it can be mistaken for one. On the north side of the road is sanlitun village, also could be described as an outdoor style mall. Both are less than a 8-10 min stroll from the Conrad.
Maggies is indeed south west of the Conrad. Walk south to next next set of lights, turn west till you get to lan dao, head south past parkview to Guanghau lu and then west for 4 or 5 minutes to Maggies. Walking time is around 25 minutes. To get to Maggies you will pass the Place, it is almost twice as far in walking time as sanlitun village is from the Conrad. What can I say, I like walking around Beijing.
Now we have done the walking tour thing, will be heading to Beijing again next week, has anyone been to chocolate since new year? If so can you tell me if they have decent dancers there again yet?

I feel that going at the right time also plays a role. Don't go too early. On a Saturday or a Friday go at 11:00 pm. You'll have a good time. Take your time to find the one you like while sipping on your drinks. As the time will pass, the demand will be less and they will reduce the price (a bit).

Have you actually tried walking either of those distances yourself?
Looking on google maps it shows the walking distance as being 1. 3 km. That's going along the 3rd ring for part of it instead of taking'a right straight out the door and cutting through the car park of the office. Which would be shorter. So unless you are suggesting it takes you 22 minutes to walk 1 km I don't get your point.
Google map shows Maggies as being 2.9 km from the Conrad. So again, the difference may well be that we walk at different speeds.
But to title your post suggesting mis-information I find bizarre, unless you are referring to your own mis-information.
For frame of reference, I spent 10 years living at central park, walking to bodhi at gongti bei men would take me around 25 (ish) minutes. That's about 2. 5 km. No running involved, just a steady 6 km / hour pace. I don't see that distance as being substantially different to walking from the Conrad to M's.
Back to the subject to this board though. Went in to Chocolate last night around 12.45, according to the manager the show "just finished" so I am still none the wiser as to what the dancers are like there now. Headed down to Maggies from there around 1 am, I counted only about 20 Mongolian girls there from what I could see. Slim pickings indeed.

Has anyone any input on the reliability of Hidden Dragon or the Wonderful Massage clubs? Apologies for ranting questions. I promise to compensate with reports. Just want to know if they're worth reaching out to when I arrive in a few weeks.
Checked the place out from the classifieds recently. Here's my quick breakdown:
No problem finding the place, fairly centrally located. Communications via Wechat no problem at all. It is a two bed, one bath apartment. Meaning no real privacy if there is more than one customer, and certainly no waiting place if both rooms are occupied. Call ahead first! They only have 3 girls to choose from, so while I usually don't go into specific provider reviews as I strongly believe in YMMV and am used to having a much larger selection in the Shanghai sauna scene, in this case I will.
Apartment is easy enough to find, although the elevator can be a bit confusing (you'll understand if you go). The welcome was anything but warm and comforting, I was greeted by a girl in a robe showing no emotion at all and led to a little area to change my shoes and then to the bedroom, it wasn't until then that I realized the emotionless girl that greeted me was to be my provider (yes, I preselected her). Anyway, Summer looks nothing like her pictures IMHO, perhaps because she cut her hair, but I don't know. However I have no doubt it was the same girl. I chose the body-to-body massage with BBJ. Summer actually has a great touch and provided a very comfortable, relaxing oil massage and just sensuous enough to keep things interesting (I would compare her touch to WenLi, for those of you that know her in Shanghai). I don't want to be a tree huger but in the year 2000 to 2010, you could find Chinese 8, 9 10 , Thai and other nationalities. All over Beijing (no need to list the places, old-timers knows them well). The Mongolians at old Maggies were one of the options and had to be competitive on price and service. And they were because you had many possibilities within few miles.
Now, 8 to 10 years later, where are the Chinese? The other nationalities? We all know where the Mongolians are and they know very well that we don't have other options other than low-end massage parlor and chubby girls. The escort game online! Have you tried it? I'm quite sure 7 out of 10 are a bait and switch and the 3 showing up are nowhere close to the pic.

I got quoted, different prices ranging from 1200 to 4000 Rmb. The 4000 one is at Maggies every night, kind of cocky, mix-Russian Mongolian. (Cute though).
In every cities bar I went, these girls would have been way low in the list of quality compare to other and their pricing not even close. They would have been to the bottom of my list versus.
Based on that, I can just conclude the Beijing is in a race to the bottom. As there is no marketplace anymore, quality is moving to other cities and prices are jacked up by girls that see the opportunity.
I'm willing to accept any other views but if you gone make the case that there is a better picture out there, feel free to share and I'm willing to live home immediately and go check it out. We are Friday night.

The changes that have been forced upon us have made Beijing mongering less convenient for visitors (with only Maggie's and perhaps Chocolate retaining some semblance of bygone days) for sure, but for locals who know the way around, Beijing is still a pretty good place to enjoy the China's beautiful women. Recently some excellent saunas have even popped up here —places that rival Shanghai— but generally you need a Chinese friend to introduce you. Anyway here are my reviews: 1) Hidden Dragon: fantastic upscale venue, the best of these 3. Great customer service re WeChat responses and you are sent actual photos of girls available. The girls tend to be petite and sexy, with Lisa the best all-around package in my view. I wish they had some more voluptuous options. I don't like to number girls but they are generally cute girl next-door types. Serve is very enjoyable. 2) Sophie's: the girls I have met are sexy, voluptuous, pretty girl next door / student types. I don't go by numbers but "nonsense " to the gentleman who say "2's and 3's at Sophie's. " Excellent and sensual oil massages. I have had many delightful afternoons and evenings at this well run establishment. I spent 4 nts there last week. Mar 21 - 24. I had one very very early morning start so left Maggies at midnight empty handed.

In the past, I would have definitely spent many nights at Maggie's, Chocolate, etc. But hearing you guys, I guess it's getting pretty depressing. There is so much discussion on ways to sneak girls into the hotel room. I used to always do the same. But several years ago, I had an incident after I snuck a girl into my room. The hotel manager rang my room an hour or so later and told me the police was looking for the girl that was with me. So I quickly told the girl to leave. I later went down and talked to the manager and his English was not good but I guess the girl and some goon were going to scam me somehow but I don't know how the police got involved so quickly. Anyway, the manager lectured to me that hotels always want me to register my guests because the hotel wants to protect me. They want to make sure nothing bad happens to me. This really sunk in, and for a while I always registered the girls and it gave me peace of mind knowing that the hotel had the girl's identification. This especially was useful with freelancers. With a reputable agency maybe you don't need to register the girls because the girls know that I can report them to their agency.

Well. Followed my little head to Palace Club (or something like that) near Baiziwan Station. Without writing a super long review, here are a few highlights:
- 1580 fee. Thought this was for full service. Turns out it's a membership-style joint and I needed to pay more for service.
- Didn't have enough cash for the second fee but had been teased enough that I let the girl put a robe on me and walk me OUTSIDE and down the block to the ATM. Me in nothing but a robe and slippers and her in a very revealing outfit. In the middle of the afternoon. I won't soon forget the looks I got.
- Paid the new, higher fee. Led back to the nice room. Extensive cat bath followed by an oily HJ.
- Spent a ton of money for something I could have done myself.
- Live and learn, I guess.

If you read my last post, you probably noticed my depression about Beijing crashing and burning in terms of Mongering. I like the Mongolians in Maggie's but I think they need to suffer from a lack of demand for while to readjust their cockiness and their pricing.
That being said with my two neighbors, we decided to import our service from the place where in my book there is the most beauty per sq footage in Asia and maybe the world, Manhattan in Shanghai! This was a disaster of a session But let me start at the beginning.
I found a card with a QR code and it was stuck in my door like many other cards but they just have a phone number this only had a qr code. So I scanned it and started speaking to a person about a place not to far from me and in the contacts moments were some pics of a fancy massage place. I'm officially declaring Beijing one of the worst if not the worst city in Asia for Mongering. I have been all over Asia many times and I can safely say, Beijing is in a race to the bottom in terms of Value (quality / price).
When the highlight of the board is a chubby Chinese rated 5 charging 700 rmb or a Mongolian charging 1500 to 3000 rmb, something is terribly wrong.
I don't want to be a tree huger but in the year 2000 to 2010, you could find Chinese 8, 9 10 , Thai and other nationalities. All over Beijing (no need to list the places, old-timers knows them well). The Mongolians at old Maggies were one of the options and had to be competitive on price and service. And they were because you had many possibilities within few miles.I wish you had posted this 6 months ago.

On second thought, that is not far from the "non VIP" price at the Massage Spa about two avenues north of BLCU, in the big KTV next to the Merry Mart shopping center. But they'd almost never charge that, since they are loathe to book anything above an "erotic" massage to someone without a VIP card. The VIP membership is a 14% discount (so 86% of the nominal full price), and then a further sliding discount based on how much you sign up for. They advertise 3000 RMB getting a 1000 RMB bonus and 5000 RMB getting a 2000 RMB bonus (But have been known to be talked into a 500 RMB bonus for a 2000 RMB deposit). So all up, with 3000 RMB put on a VIP card, that is about 65% of the nominal list price.
The 400 list vegetarian oil massage and 600 list "erotic" massage (where the massage girl attempts to generate enough stimulation for a happy ending but stops short of a hand job), come with use of the shower but not the hot soak and bubble bath with personal attention of the massage girl. Then there are three levels of "spa" service, all with hot soak and bubble bath, level three for 700 RMB list, 600 RMB VIP (discounted by whatever bonus for pay in advance) is the oil massage and hand job, level two for 1200 RMB list, 1000 RMB VIP is the oil massage with a bit of body to body massage and titty fuck, and I assume the level one is full service, which affair is about 1400 RMB list, so around 1200 VIP. And the quality of the massage is variable with the girl for the spa services. A regular customer would want to learn the numbers of the different girls to ask for the ones that do a better job on the massage part.
I would not be surprised if they are exactly the same girls that show up to your home / hotel if you call the right number, advertised with someone else's picture and with an age that is 5-10 years younger than they really are. The only reasons to go is that you actually also want a massage, or you are not free to call a girl to your home / hotel.
If you want to avoid pay in advance and just want an oil massage and hand relief, there is a "spa" by the south gate of Tsinghua that does that, it advertises a cheap foot massage out front and shares the street entrance with a laundry, about two bus stops east of the Wudaokou stop on Line 13.600 RMB for oil massage and happy ending, but don't expect more than a hand job to be available, and the "spa" is a hand shower attachment in one of the toilet stalls. And if you want to negotiate your own price and service with the massage girl, the massage spa down near the end of the street just east of the Wudaokou Line 13 stop (when you see the one that is closed with a lock and an official shutdown notice, you are about halfway there), near the last stop on the 398 bus route south, has a spa oil massage with a tub for 500 RMB, but anything more than a massage is negotiated with the massage girl at the flip. I was quoted an outrageous price for a hand job, but the teasing part of the message before the quote was too effective, and it was already unnecessary. I assume it was normal Chinese market stall strategy of quoting five times the price you want and if the silly laowai insists on half you get a big bonus anyway.
But go north of the 5th Ring Road, say to Huilongguanzhen in Changping, a block and a half north of the Huilongguan exit on Line 13 on Wenhua road, and a oil massage with hand relief is 500 RMB, no VIP card or negotiation with the massage girl required. Though I'd expect a VIP plan and discount would be available. I didn't exactly take notes, but I expect the body to body and full service massages are similarly lower priced than they are between the 3rd and 4th Ring Road in Haidian.
The shift in the market is due to government policy. Heaven may be high and the emperor may be far away for most of China, but inside the 5th Ring Road in Beijing, the Emperor is uncomfortably close at hand. The government has seemed to have decided that red light activities are not part of the "capital city functions" that are slated for inside the 5th Ring Road and, like the best fabric and textile markets, have taken action to drive the best of them out of town.

If the lowest price on the VIP membership board is higher than 3000, it's likely to be a place to show off how much money you have. If the entry point is 30,000 kwai, it's certain to be that. And that's not what I am looking for, so after seeing the VIP price, I'd move on.
They are still Chinese enterprises, so there'll be the same efforts to overcharge, upsell and over promise / under deliver as in any Chinese enterprise catering to a primarily Chinese clientele. And don't expect "model" caliber girls in a middle class establishment. But from long practice, some of the girls have excellent massage skills.
