This past March, a man named Sun solicited a woman named Cai for sexual services over WeChat during a business trip to Beijing. After completing the transaction, Sun engaged in a conversation with an unknown man that Cai had called up. Identifying himself as a police officer, the third party told Sun that the hotel he was staying in was currently undergoing a police action. In exchange for a bribe, Sun was told he could avoid arrest.
Sun complied and paid Cai an extra RMB 5,000 using electronic payment. Unfortunately for Sun, the third party this amount was not enough, causing Sun to pay Cai another RMB 21,800.
But even after Cai had departed, Sun received another phone call from yet another unknown person who asked for another RMB 10,000. At this point, Sun decided to accept the consequences and reported everything to police.
The ensuing police investigation rounded up four suspects who had used the same scheme to extort four other victims. As it turns out, blackmailers have been performing this scam in Beijing for years.
Four people were recently sentenced to four months in jail for trying to extort RMB 3,000 from a Shijingshan resident who bought sex last summer by bringing a minor to his apartment. First time poster, long-time reader. I've written some reviews over the web.
Thought I'd share my recent experiences in three massage places, BlueBerry, Sophie's Place and Hidden Dragon.
1. Sophie's. Easy to find contact, they advertise regularly on here. Actually I didn't remember that I'd been to this place previously, but, walking from the subway (10 minutes), I began to recognise the landscape. I've been offered "tai shi" by the hair shampoo girl when getting my hair cut at a "salon" near Liudaokou station, but I had neither spare change nor spare time at that point to find out what all is involved in "tai shi" ("Thai Style", implicitly massage since there definitely wasn't any Pad Thai cooking in the back).
I've mentioned before the mid level "Spas" which offer some kind of airplane flight relief, at the very least, a bus stop or two away from Wudaokou station on Line 13 or Liudaokou station on Line 15. FS is not available at all or would require negotiation with the masseuse.
Further east just at the western edge of Chaoyang, on Datun Road before it becomes Qinghua East Road, there are two clusters. One is a a block or two west of Olympic Green station if you take the farthest Southwest exit, west of the Olympic Park itself (I think these connect to the Line 15 mezzanines, so if you arrived by Line 8 you would probably be looking for exits that are the same way as the Line 15 platform). On the south side of the street are buildings with street level storefronts and individual stairwells up to second floor establishments. Several of the establishments call themselves spas, one is a L'Joy salon. Another building or two east is a small foot massage parlor. Then over by the Line 15 Anli Road (Anlilu) Station heading north to Datun North street and a little beyond there are several massage and spa places, on both sides of Anli Road. One in the second basement below a food court in the basement level on the corner of Datun North Road seems especially likely to have been offering a full range of menu options, since it is now shut down.
Some of these are vegetarian massage. A big prominently advertised Spa near the Datun and Anli intersection clearly is, given its wide range of Y100-Y200 treatments on the menu. The foot massage place to the western end of Datun Road is vegetarian, though when I got a Y300 oil massage there, the masseuse moved the thick terry shorts too vigorously while massaging the outside of my upper thighs and the plane flew by surprise. The next time I visited (since the massage itself was quite good), they had shorts with more give, and there wasn't the same effect, but it was also in one of the spa rooms, so I was invited to wash off the oil in the shower between finishing the oil massage and the (non-oil) ending arm, hand & head massage. I suppose if one were too excited by the oil massage, one could fly the plane for oneself while showering.
One of the western Datun Road Spa / Salon establishments is fairly seedy and has a top price service of Y500. Flights at this place neither solo nor on autopilot, but no plus plus services appear to be on offer. The massage is not as high quality as a better Y200 clothed body massage, but it was still pretty good.
One of the cluster along Anli Road a good ways north of the Anli / Datun Road Intersection is even seedier. It is one of the spas where the time of service on the menu is a total fabrication on the high side, while the service provided is a fabrication on the low side, with Y600 getting a moderate period of oil massage followed by a moderate period of tickle massage followed by a moderate period of incompletely clad B2B massage followed by an accomplished if mechanical airplane flight under manual control. If the technician was thirty she has seen a lot in those three decades, but along the way she had definitely seen a cosmetic surgeon.
Also in the cluster along Anli Road a good way north of the Anli / Datun Road intersection is a nicer Spa where for Y1000 a more accomplished and long enough to be effective oil massage was followed by a bit of tickle massage and then also more accomplished and long enough to be effective B2B massage. In that case, the airplane flew through a couple of clouds, which was surprisingly pleasant. That was not the top service on the menu, but the lass locked the door just before the flight, so it's possible it was a place that calls lasses in for higher value services and includes a commission if you convince a client to take a VIP plan, and she was going above and beyond the standard offering at that price in an effort to be more persuasive. She was pilot number 6 at that establishment.

I read back in this forum that someone thought perhaps the New World's rooftop bar might be good, but I've heard that the Wangfujing neighborhood is good also. Any info anyone can provide will be much appreciated. I do intend to visit Maggie's (it's been 10 years ago for me) and Vic's. Will report my experiences at the end of November. Live 4 69.I have stayed frequently in New World Beijing and had no problems. I meet up with the visitors on level 2 where one of the restaurants are. That area is away from the reception and security which sometimes checks the guests. If you meet up at the bar you will have to go down to the ground level and change the lift as there is a separate lift for the bar and for the guest rooms. You could than be picked up by the security. Otherwise I really like New World Beijing and recommend get the club access.

... Further east just at the western edge of Chaoyang, on Datun Road before it becomes Qinghua East Road, there are two clusters. One is a a block or two west of Olympic Green station if you take the farthest Southwest exit, west of the Olympic Park itself (I think these connect to the Line 15 mezzanines, so if you arrived by Line 8 you would probably be looking for exits that are the same way as the Line 15 platform). On the south side of the street are buildings with street level storefronts and individual stairwells up to second floor establishments. Several of the establishments call themselves spas, one is a L'Joy salon. Another building or two east is a small foot massage parlor. Then over by the Line 15 Anli Road (Anlilu) Station heading north to Datun North street and a little beyond there are several massage and spa places, on both sides of Anli Road. One in the second basement below a food court in the basement level on the corner of Datun North Road seems especially likely to have been offering a full range of menu options, since it is now shut down. ...Also note that I mentioned the cluster west of Chaoyang Park. In my view, if you are looking for either quality or quantity per 100 RMB note, you would not go out of your way to hit either clusters on or near the western end of Datun Road. The aforementioned Choayang Park cluster is IMHO better value for money.
Stayed often at New World last couple years, no issues. Yin on 12 (outdoor rooftop section probably closing soon for the season) is good place to meet up with a new friend. Hotel is just now under new ownership so let's hope the policies won't change. PM if you'the like additional details.Thanks for your reply, MoonCat1. But she sending me messages regularly in wechat, asking me to visit, saying that it is a nice place, etc etc. All in Chinese. So finally one day I asked her / him about the price and services, they quoted me a rate of 1000 for two hours, 1500 for three and 2000 for four. That sounded TGTBT to me, especially for such kind of a place. Now, I don't speak Chinese, but I know the exact Chinese texts for different terms for different services. So I asked specifically, what services are included in those prices. They said many things, like massage, relax and "making love". To make things absolute clear, I kept on asking them in detail in many different ways, asked them specifically whether the price includes FS, in proper Chinese text, or I do need to pay anything extra for that. They told me specifically that the price includes FS and you don't pay anything extra, everything is included in the price. At that point, I thought lets make a visit. But I prepared my mind that in the worst case I will at least get a massage and HJ in that price, so let's see. So I booked for 1500 for 3 hours. I reached the address and informed her in wechat, a male guard picked me from the gate and took me to the elevator, he pushed the switch of 5th floor from outside and send me up alone. I reached 5th floor and just exiting from the door of the elevator there was a huge place with very fancy reception and lounge. It looked like the whole 5th floor is for them. A girl with sexy dress greeted me and took me to the reception, and there were a few girls in the reception. I did not see any other clients around. Then they took me to a room with bed and shower, and a girl from the reception came to talk to me. She started telling me different things by using translation of the phone, like, they have many establishments in Beijing so I can go to a different one next time if this one is far for me, etc. They then asked me how much I want to pay, I said that I was in told wechat that 1500 rmb for three hours. I also showed them the wechat message that I received from them. They said OK. They showed me three girls and I chose one. The receptionist asked me to pay, I paid 1500, then she asked me to take a shower and left. After I showered, the girl whom I chose came in a black dress and asked me to lay down on the bed facing down. She started massaging my shoulders. After maximum 10 minutes of massage, she started talking to me using translation about different things like what I do, age, and then she asked my salary. I did not answered that, but realized that the things are not going to be good here. Then she started saying that this is boring, if I want to play interesting game. I said yes, that's what I was told in wechat. Then she left the room and came back with the receptionist, the receptionist started telling me things in Chinese bla bla. The point was, that I need to pay something like additional 3000 for anything extra. I showed them the wechat, that I was told I don't need to pay anything extra. But they kept saying me bla bla, that I have to pay more. Then I asked, if I don't pay anything extra then what I get today. They said 'massage'. I said OK, then I only take that. The receptionist left, the girl started massaging my legs. I asked her, won't she remove her cloths? She said no, that costs extra. I said OK. But I was completely off by then. She massaged my legs for another 5-10 minutes and again she left and came back with the receptionist. They again started talking to me with the translation, asking me to pay more. I said I won't pay anything more today, just give me service whatever is included in 1500. This conversation went on for 10-15 minutes or so, then they finally said me that you don't get anything more today, you have to leave. WTF! 1500 rmb for 20 minutes veggie massage, not even a HJ? I did not wanted to fall into any kind of trouble, so I left. I was very much disturbed by this incident (obviously). Then after exiting the building, I contacted my regular place, went there and spend 2 hours. Then I went home.

The VIP membership is a 14% discount (so 86% of the nominal full price), and then a further sliding discount based on how much you sign up for. They advertise 3000 RMB getting a 1000 RMB bonus and 5000 RMB getting a 2000 RMB bonus (But have been known to be talked into a 500 RMB bonus for a 2000 RMB deposit). So all up, with 3000 RMB put on a VIP card, that is about 65% of the nominal list price.Just a short update, this description is now quite obsolete. Sometime the middle of or late last year this place went under new management. The "bonus" discount is much smaller. Y2000 bonus is now official instead of unofficial, but is only Y200, Y3000 bonus has dropped to Y500 instead of Y1,000. The third place "spa" package which used to be Y600 VIP is not Y900 VIP. So with Y3000 into a VIP card, the third tier spa package that used to cost effectively Y450 now costs effectively Y770. And the full spa treatment has been abandoned. No more hot soak in a hot tub and scrub by the technician, just hit the shower, towel off and lie down.
The second place "spa" package, which used to be B2B, is not much different from tier 3, and for the downgrade in quality sees price go up from effectively Y675 to effectively Y1,000. And under the new management, instead of trying to talk you up to a higher priced tier, the technicians try to sell the services that used to be included in the list price for exorbitant prices.

And a tremendous shame, since negotiation on the flip really kills the momentum. That's the real downside to both the nicer and the seedier spas on Anlilu Road north of Datun North, which are otherwise reasonably convenient to Line 15 Anlilu Station and to the North / South BRT corridor.

It's a shame; I visited a few of these places in Shanghai years back and it was incredible. Haven't checked the Shanghai boards in a while but I think they might have all been shutdown there too. In fact I think the guy who wrote the English guide on these spas was even arrested.

I got in touch with Beijing Mermaid, to my surprise are still in business. I dug up their details from Google and asked what they offered, mainly massage on par with HD and WM. I decided to ask if they can find me a model type for FS and the answer was Yes. Lemon Tree is back in business. They have two girls so far. One was alright. Cute enough. Decent massage. Okay BJ. I explored the area of Maizidian to look for the fabled 6 story spa place, I could not locate it. I searched the entire Nongzhanguan and Rd with not luck and also the length of Maizidian St. I found Paradise Spa and a few dotted around. If any long-standing members could point me to the street? I will try again next time and report! There were residential buildings I daren't enter.
I did more digging, I suspect it's on the same street as Sheraton hotel, further down there is paradise spa, not sure what that is but I will take a look. There is a canal before the park, shame I cannot use Google street view. I have looked at Bing and baidu map and each is different, there is however, a building called Maizidian business, is that what you mean? Shame I didn't look closer but I wasn't even sure it was accessible, where is the reception-like entrance and is there a guard to eyeball you? I will go to Beijing at some point and will go back there for curiosity sake. I'm also planning to hit Maggie's to see what the big deal is.

As a point of interest there is a numerical representation of Chinese characters, Chinese telegraphic code, whereby Chinese characters are represented by numbers when transmitting a telegram, seldom used now but some overseas countries still require Chinese telegraphic code numbers on documents such as visa applications.

I've been using ISG for a while now and since I'm currently in China, I have read up on most of the messages going back at least 6 months. More of a massage person than a bar goer, places like Maggies is not on my go-to list. I am quite fluent in Chinese so I decided to do some research on my own and potentially share new information with users of this thread.
I'm happy to report that I did found out about a new way to gain access to hidden apartment style massage parlors (which means more likely than not that they provide extra services). I won't name any specific Spa here to avoid been seen as a typical switch-and-bait advertiser faking as a user. To use this method you need to be able to at least speak conversational mandarin and be able to read some basic Chinese characters. I know not everyone can do this so I apologize for those you who cannot share in on this new method (I'm sure some of you already know this, it's just that I haven't seen anyone posting it).
If you command enough language skills, download a Chinese app (perhaps it has an English version, didn't check) called 大20247;28857;35780;Dianping" a lot of you might be familiar with this. It's essentially the Chinese Yelp. Once you open the app, there is a section called entertainment / relaxation (20241;38386;23089;20048, and in that there is another icon you can click which is spa / foot massage. Once you get in there, by default it will show you a list of spas near you ranked by the app's algorithm. Now comes the tricky party that requires some Chinese reading ability or maybe just some luck. Looking at the names of those spas, pick out the ones with seductive words or what one would consider inappropriate words for a proper, legitimate spa. For instances, there is a "sweet peach spa," a "bing bing private talk spa," or a "royal court lingering connection spa. " It's not the easiest to translate some of the names of these spas. After you need to pick out these suspicious spas, check out their images, if the image is showing a half naked girl giving a massage or something similarly alluding, then it's almost 100% a spa that only / mostly offers extra services. Even if the image is nothing revealing, if the name is inappropriate enough, its safe to assume its not a legit massage. Then you just need to click on the phone icon and call them for their exact address.
I know this is a very difficult process and not many people can do this. All I can say is that once you establish a connection with one of these places, you can arrange different girls through the MMS and don't have worry about looking for new places.

Dilemma,
I have somehow pressed my way to a website gg168 vip, and they all appear to be model type at 3000 rmb per 1 shot. I got in touch and they won't send outcalls, instead insists on me coming to their place. I'm unsure how legitimate they are, their moment feed on wechat is full of models stretching back a few months. It feels authentic but there is a risk in going to their place. I said they have so many models and not one would do outcall, apparently they fear for their safety. It seems ridiculous by their size of Rota that they are all incall receiving customers.

I appreciate posters using Chinese characters in an attempt to convey more accurate information here (and I can input Chinese characters using the keyboard capabilities of most computers and mobile phones, as well as read and work with Chinese characters on most if not all browsers on most computers and mobile phones), but if Chinese characters are in fact incompatible with this site, then what can we do?
